I do agree that charles is the protective one, and erik being erik allows the kids to do more... illegal stuff. Like, charles wouldn't want the kids to fight in school. Erik, tho? Someone insulted you? Punch them! They hit you? Hit them back! I think he'd give that kind of advice lol.

So sometimes the kids may "hide stuff" from Charles and tell erik instead. what's interesting, though, is that in alternate universes where they still have powers, i'd like to think that charles knows about these, i mean he's a telepath, right. but he lets the kids keep 'secrets' from him because he likes seeing them bond with erik and he thinks they're cute haha.

BUT i do think there are cases where the kids will tell charles stuff instead of erik. like, if one them has a crush on someone at school... they'd confide in charles because while charles worries over them he won't meddle too much. But i think if erik knows his children have a crush on someone he'll go into super protective mode and check whether the other person is worth it or not (basically stalking).

if said crush hurts their kids both erik and charles would be angry. i think for erik it would be obvious that he's angry, but for charles, he's more of the sneaky type. i like to think charles would smile and act all nice, he's discreet, but really he's a telepath and he'll 'accidentally' tell the crush's parents about all the skeletons in their closet.

Zombie apocalypse AU HCs

gn!reader x Hobie Brown

So AU where you live in a zombie apocalypse, like a year after the catastrophy. You belong to a town of survivors and Hobie is a loner who prefers to survive on his own tho he doesn't mind other ppl if they don't threaten him.

You're one of scouts of your town who go outside and search for all sorts of supplies and maybe even other survivors who might need help and want to join your commune.

You just do your usual thing, rummaging through an old abandoned building when suddenly you drop something or make any other kind of loud noise and it appears that this building is not so abandoned after all - there's quite a company of groaning monsters who now really want to take a bite from you.

So of course you run for your life but the only way is up the stairs and the small mob almost corners you in one of the corridors when suddenly a door opens and you get dragged inside by a strong hand. The door immediately closes behind you, and now it's just the two of you in a small room that seems to be safe enough.

You try to aim your gun at the stranger, but your hands shake violently and there's not much you can do, so the guy smirks at your attempts but still raises his hands to show you he's harmless.

That's how you and Hobie meet each other.

It only takes you so much time to calm down and realise he's no threat. You share your food with him to thank him and talk quietly, patiently waiting for the groaning horde to go away.

It's funny to see a guy so dedicated to certain aesthetics in the middle of the apocalypse. Wearing jeans and leather, having a bat with nails and his guitar on him, combined with an immense amount of piercings he has, he looks so unmistakably punk. Yeah, he looks like a cool guy. Acts like one, too, offering you a grin, his name, a handshake to go with it and a small talk.

"A townie, huh?" Hobie chuckles with a touch of disdain when you tell him you're not a loner, that you're from a town. Something in his voice makes you wonder if there's more to it than a simple 'i'm cooler bc i don't need anyone to survive'.

And only much, much later you'll find out that he used to live in a town, too, but the leader (might be Osborn haha) went nuts, turned into a dictator, pressured people he was supposed to protect, and Hobie organised a riot and ended up killing him. He left after that and now he doesn't trust communes and their self-proclaimed leaders.

He helps you to get out of the building when it's safe and you almost leave to be on your way when it hits you it might be useful to pair up with an experienced survivor like him. And he hasn't had company for a while now, so he just shrugs and agrees.

It's easier to travel together. You navigate zombie-crouded places with ease, watching each other's back, you talk when it's safe (and hell does Hobie like himself a good talk after only being able to talk to himself for a while). You quickly find out that teasing each other is hella fun and it takes him only about two days to come up with a nickname for you - maybe something made from your name or maybe something stupid from all those jokes you share.

Once you reach another town and settle in a house that has decent fence, Hobie starts a fire and soon you hear him strumming something on his guitar. He's glad if you decide to sing along. And if you play guitar, too, he'd hand it to you, but just before you grab it he'd pull it away for a moment and squint his eyes at you. "Jus' don't break it, luv", he smirks before finally handing it to you. And if you sing - damn, he'd definitely start missing his being in a band days and promise you to write a duet for you two.

Sometimes you try to convince him to come with you to your town but he just shrugs and laughs it off. He doesn't yet tell why he's so stubborn about it, and you know better than to pry.

Your expedition goes calmly until the last village on your way where you encounter raiders. They shoot first and you don't really have a choise but put down two of them. You find a hiding spot before any of you gets shot, but the next day when you plan to leave and head back to your town they notice you. And, well, of course they want revenge.

You flee both from raiders and zombies attracted by the gunfire, navigating the narrow alley filled with junk, and where you slip with ease, Hobie suddenly falls trying to jump off something and gets an iron rod right through his thigh.

Putting all the trouble with removing it aside, that's how you and Hobie both end up back in your town. You were supposed to part ways, but it's not like you could just leave him after everything you've been through together. His wound is festering by the time you reach safety, you tried to give him meds, but it only did so much in holding the infection back. Thankfully now the doctors can look after him.

He gets better gradually and soon enough you let him move into your place. After all, you were the one to bring him to the town, so now you're kind of responsible. He's not particularly happy to be there, but trust me, he'd choose his words of distaste less carefully if it was anyone but you with him.

He needs time to recover in safety, but the town is suffocating, so you find a harmless enough decision and start inviting him outside to hunt. Nothing but short sorties not too far from the town walls, but he feels better. And honestly? It's a good time to bond. Winter comes and you spend your nights outside in abandoned hunting lodges, resting close to each other to preserve the heat.

It's back to back first, then you share blankets, and soon enough it turns into cuddling - either it's spooning or Hobie just pulls your head into his chest and wraps his long arms aroung you. You're supposed to take care of him and help him recover, but in those moments you feel taken care of. Small. Maybe even loved. Not something you feel often in this dying shit of a world.

And when the winter passes, Hobie suddenly realises that he doesn't really want to leave. I wonder why,,,,,,

A little extra: I feel like if you ever get bitten or scratched, Hobie would NOT hesitate to take your wounded limb away. He's not the type to wait till it turns into 'either i kill them or they turn into a monster' drama, he just wants to save as much of you as he can. And knowing how good he is with crafting things, he'd probably be the one to make you a prosthesis to replace it, too.

Hey, first of all, I just found your blog and I love it already <3 Second, I saw that you're an english major and so I thought since we're kind of I'm the same boat maybe you'd understand the confession I want to make. Funny thing is, I also wanted to major in english lit haha I ADORE reading. One of my toxic traits is that I love being smart. I try to be the most intelligent person in the room (besides my professor), and clearly, that will never happen anyway, because “smartness” ranges and is not objective. Again, that’s why it’s my toxic trait.

Nevertheless, when I hear knowledgeable conversations around me, I start to sink into myself. Even though I know I am smart, I feel like I missed something sometimes. It's almost like I missed the joke that everyone else is laughing about.

I think what you’re feeling is normal. I’m sure a lot of people can attest to feeling this way. You’re right—philosophy is a male-dominated major. But that doesn’t make you any less knowledgeable on the subject.

Also, read this with context, but remember that people probably aren’t thinking about you that much. It helps me to remember this. If I say something dumb in class, or if I’m quiet the whole class, the only one who will remember that for longer than 45 seconds is me. And I don’t think anyone will believe you aren’t smart enough. I’m not good at putting my feelings into text, nor am I a writer, or good at literature analysis, but I do have thoughts.

I never liked SSO’s writing to begin with. The writing of SL was okay for a game of that scope. I loved the mystery of a seaside town and strange powers that be. But SSO’s writing is confusing to me.

Dialogues almost always try to be funny, relatable, and it comes across as shallow or boring. I try to read all the dialogue because I am invested in the universe by now and I want to know everything about the events of the world and it’s characters. But lord is it hard sometimes to not skip the repetitive, shallow dialogue.

The characters lack debth and it is hard for me to like any of them. It feels like the Soul riders are just written as stereotypes. Don’t know something? Talk to Linda, she knows everything and loves doing research! She’s a nerd! Alex is the hurr durr let’s do shit without thinking anything over. Haha, Lightning goes zap zap!! Elizabeth is our teacher. A druid. And? Fripp? What even is Fripp? “Mysterious” leader who I don’t know anything about or don’t spend any time with. Who comes across as emotionless and disinterested in his charges. Avalon? Recluse who barely shows up and when he does, he always disagrees with everything.

I like that SSE has been trying to focus on the characters more. Elizabeth’s death didn’t make me feel anything because I just didn’t know her, didn’t have any attachments to her. If anything I laughed during that scene because of the way she ass slammed Darko like that Ground Slam Ash of War from Elden Ring, then got turned into Annie from Attack on Titan, and then blew herself up. That scene should have been an emotional story beat that should have gripped me and made me sad. Red Dead Redemption does that so well. I cried a lot during that game. I wish SSE took the characters seriously tho. It’s like every quest is an episode of The Simpsons where shit happens, it never gets acknowledged after, the characters don’t change. Every episode is a new start. I really like that they commited to the darker and real events, such as Lisa losing her mother, Alex having a dysfunctional low income family, and Anne getting over the real trauma of Concordes death, her kidnapping, and isolation. BUT THEY DON’T GO ANYWHERE WITH IT.

I want to love these characters and I want them to feel like real people, but it’s hard when they get treated as a joke, or the real and traumatic things that happened to them never get acknowleged and have no impact on them or the story. What about Linda and the betrayal of the Baroness? What about Meteor being lost. She didn’t even mention Meteor until the spymaster sent MC to tell her where Meteor was. And I am still waiting for the new Fort Maria quest to see the dynamic between the druids and the Soul Riders after the events of Justin’s rescue.

And the story…. Sometimes it just feels too whacky to me. I don’t know if the witches and golden apples are some folklore from Sweden, but I did not expect that when I first played through, and I did not like it. It felt like the game was spreading itself too thin? It felt out of place to me.

And sometimes, the quests feel like they have no impact. We need to do a difficult thing. Ha let’s do it this way. Go there. Click the ground. Done, we did it, yay!! It just feels very childish, lacking weight. I’m not sure how to put this into words, and I think there are people out there who are much better at this then I am.

I disliked the new Alex quest and felt unsatisfied. The whole questline had me anxious because the job of an event planner is so hard for me as a person with zero organisation skills and confidence. I am sure it is a very important and difficult job, and I was waiting for how SSE handled it. The entire time I felt like MC and Alex were not making any actual tuall progress. Then the whole thing got derailed to “let’s record a narrated tour of the CIty”. And when the quest ended, I was like “that’s it?”

The cinematic for Alex shows a resourceful, hard working and strong individual who got delt a bad hand, but found hope in Elizabeth. But the game keeps treating her like a stupid comic relief character who can only do one thing, and that is use her lightning power no matter the occasion. Even the Freeing Anne quest felt off to me. Why would Alex chose to go back and face Darko alone, when they keep rehashing the theme of “we’re stronger together”. Her power can be fueled by anger, but her main thing is to protect her loved ones. They got Anne, her priority should have been to get Anne out of there, not come back alone for Darko. It just felt like the writers did that because they needed Elizabeth to die, and MC getting stranded in Pandoria so that Lisa could use her singing power. And how would getting blown off a cliff into a bottomless space get rid of a powerful individual who can easily teleport himself and other people?

I really wish SSO would hire actual writers do deal with their story, the structure of the story, and the characters. Helena did such a good job making the main cast feel real, and structuring the story.

TLDR: SSE please hire a writer, and stop treating your characters like stereotypes. Stop treating Alex like a stupid person who goes zap

It worries them a little, making them more aware of their movements as well but after a while y/n sees that they're careful and starts to trust them with it without hesitation?

Y/N can't sleep thinking about their death and shares their thoughts with one of the boys and as much as boys want to say "no, it's not true, you will be okay, everything will be okay" they just... Don't want to lie.(hahaha oh uh oops)

Y/N having a small depressing period about their previous life, before of all of these endless procedures, needles, meds and instructions from nurses. They say that they're so fed up of being locked in here, not realising that boys were locked up from their first day?

What if boys don't know what exactly happened with y/n? Like they know about their injuries but they don't know what caused it and y/n doesn't want to talk about it bc the experience was traumatic?

Y/N needs immediate help from any of the doctors but the second they are brought to the operating room doctors command boys to leave? So they just anxiously make circles near the operating room waiting, afraid that they won't make it

I'm gonna aswer under the cut 'cause I don't want to fill all your feed with my ramblings.

Anyway don’t worry! I like when people ask things about my ideas and it helps me focus on some points that I neglected! Thank you for asking!

first of all the general things!

I don't remember if I wrote this in another post but y/n decided to change hospital precisely because the staff of his previous hospital were inappropriate, cold and insensitive.

Not only were they not delicate in any of their activities but the hospital was even overcrowded and y/n had to stay in a room with other 3 people, and 2 of them happened to die in front of y/n for complications linked to hospital viruses. Imagine how traumatizing it must have been for them to just wake up and find out that your roommate, who you may have spoken to a few hours earlier, was dying in front of your eyes and you couldn't do anything but shout for help. Now imagine it happening two times in less than a week. That and the constant paranoia to be the next even if they weren't really ill pushed y/n to change hospital. And to lower the odds that such a thing could happen again they choose the most luxurious private hospital they could get.

They didn't know at the time that they had contracted a similar virus as the ones who died in front of them and they had a panic attack when the new doctors  told them. 

Hospital viruses are not lethal if treated properly and if the patient is healthy and didn't have previous health complications when they contracted it. But y/n had a pretty significant and recent trauma so that's why the doctors at Faz Co told them to change "plan" and switch to the "premium silver pack" which had an emotional caretaker included.

Now now, about your first question, y/n has no reason not to trust Sun and Moon. They were assured that the animatronics couldn't proceed with any medical treatment so no fear about their touch. They are just a little skeptical because they have never seen such sentient robots and because they are essentially strangers.

Sun and Moon's first impression of y/n was similar. They are a new patient, nothing less and nothing more. It's not like y/n is a super model or special for them at the beginning. They were just another patient who needed their care and a new person they had the possibility to know before they inevitably had to leave them.

The fact that made y/n special is the time they spent together and the memories they created in the meanwhile.

And nope! Y/n isn't their first patient! They had many people they took care of before them.

Some of their previous patients are still alive and well, never to be seen again after they went away from the hospital and they understand why they won't return willingly. Some others unfortunately passed away during their stay and, even if it's never easy, they have learned to accept that as well. They are caretakers in a hospital, they had to.

About other patients, I was thinking of adding some crazy and lunatic rich old woman or man to the story. Something like your typical grandpa/grandma who always talks about their golden age or something similar. It would be funny.

About the use of the animatronics for shady things, they weren't used to take care or clean up the scene in the canon and violent fnaf style. 

Before William's death, the previous animatronics didn't have a medical database and access to the patients files so they had to trust what the doctors (and William) said to them. They were used by William to administer poison or other things to the patients without leaving a trace. And if someone noticed it he could just decommission the animatronic in charge at the time and call it a malfunction. No one would ever think it was the genius doctor's fault. But after William's death and the public scandal, Micheal decided to download medical knowledge in their animatronics but to revoke their permission to administer anything to avoid problems and to calm public opinion.

If an animatronic were caught bypassing the rule in some way, they are decommissioned.

Sun and Moon remember every patient they had. Memories, good or bad, are still what makes them the animatronic they are now and to just erase the memories of the people they met (either if they are still alive or if they are deceased) doesn't feel right to them.

NOW SWEET THINGS!

A lot of what you wrote is actually really on point and already in my list of cute things they can do. I won't spoil anything but I'm writing a little shenanigans with food as the main subject (the comic with the whopper is a scene I'm planning to write lol). The "feeding the cat under the table" metaphor is actually a Sun thing! Moon is similar but in a more "do it yourself" way.

The clichè one is just you reading my mind. And the funny thing is that you are not even the first hahaha. But, hehe, even if it's really similar to the clichè one, the actual episode will be a little bit more dramatic.

I already wrote something about the old hospital and y/n traumas at the beginning but, yeah. Y/n would be sensitive to others' touch at the beginning but they gradually understand that this is a private hospital they are paying big money to stay in, the staff MUST be careful with their patients. And they seem like good people.

That doesn't mean they won't have nightmares about dying like their roommates in the other hospital. And at the beginning Sun and Moon are sure it won't happen. Y/n is young and healthy and they are just recovering from a normal hospital virus and some broken bones so they are not lying when they tell y/n they'll be alright.

When y/n has nightmares about their assault that's another thing. At the beginning they just waited for y/n to be confortable enough with them to explain and then they treated the argument like a normal person would. "Nobody will hurt you here", "you are safe" and they recommend y/n to take some self defense courses when they leave the hospital.

As more time passes their emotions about y/n nightmares are going to change, especially when they contract the unknown disease.

Black humor is a big no no to Sun and not really appreciated by Moon. As medical bots they had to do with the subjects of the jokes a lot and they don't find them really funny.

The boys can go anywhere inside the hospital perimeter, they just won't go in some places because they have no need.

1000 origami cranes hhhhhhhh, it would be just a SHAME if y/n managed to make just 999, uh?

lmao no, they are going to finish them all don't worry. It's actually a cute activity though.

I can imagine Sun bringing a ton of sheets after an especially depressing day/night for y/n and just helping them fold the cranes. They are both really stubborn and they would try to finish all 1000 in a day ending up exhausted. At least that night y/n would be too tired to have nightmares.

- Honestly the fact that you might possibly be a geek completely flew under his radar. I think he would be too focused that he managed to get you. You were considered very attractive by many people so the fact that he of all people managed to get with you admittedly fueled his ego a bit. He feels like he won some sort of competition with you being his girlfriend. I like to think he actually wasn’t expecting you to say yes to him. How did this emo fucker managed to get someone as beautiful as you? Even his own ‘friends’ are so confused. As for his brother and mother they were very excited and happy (mostly his mother though). She pretty much acts like how every parent asks every single question about you like what your name is? What were you like? Were you pretty? Is he treating you right? And goes on and on about it even after Luigi’s Day Out Mario telling her to stop and being embarrassed at the ambush of questions. For his Brother Luigi he’s just happy for his brother. He doesn’t really have any bad opinions about it even if he did (not that he has or will) Mario would tell him to shut it.

- He’s definitely the type of person to show you off and your beauty. As soon as he spots someone eying the two of you up you can bet he’s suddenly all up in your business. He’s grabbing your hand tightly bringing you closer while giving said person a smirk while giving them a look like ‘you jealous?’ Even around people like Daisy and Waluigi. The both of them are like “dude? I know you like her but do you have to publicly show it?” and he’s like “Of course I do. How else am I supposed to show she’s my girlfriend?” He likes riling people up by doing this.

- He definitely likes to get the two of you in trouble. Sometimes he doesn’t mean to do it but just like in the original animation he’s probably doing some shit that should've grab the police attention but does he care? No. He hasn’t gotten caught yet so why does it matter? He enjoys the feeling of doing it and he enjoys it more doing it with you. That’s how he likes to spend his time with you. So do expect yourself to be in situations like jumping fences or visiting abandoned places to have smoke sessions.

- As I said in the first point, due to your attractiveness he doesn’t really acknowledge your geekiness until the two of you feel really comfortable in the relationship. He probably accidentally stumbled upon this while the two of you were hanging out (e.g. in his room or during your smoke sessions). He probably just mentions him trying to get into a new band and it just evolves into you just giving him a full blown lecture of your favourite musician. For example “I don’t know I’ve been trying to listen to other things. Been tired of listening to the same shit over and over again.” he complained while toying his finger on his guitar that he owns then you just asked him “have you listened to [insert band name] before?” he looks at you before asking “no, who are they?” then you just went into airplane mode about your love for said band. Just think of that one yapper x listener tiktok meme.

- That’s pretty much when it pretty much hit him that he’s dating a geek. As you continued to talk about said band he’s listening to every single word you're saying. Lowkey having a crisis like “Is this what I get for calling my brother dumbass geek?” But overall surprisingly besides the initial surprise he’s actually really okay with it. Like sure if it was someone else he would’ve told him to shut up but he actually really likes it. Besides some slight teasing from him he just lets you do it because he likes to think that it’s just your voice that makes it a lot more tolerable. Plus you actually look really cute doing it even if he doesn’t get what your saying half of the time.

- I feel like he would purposely try to find ways into getting you into your little sessions just to hear you talk. He likes to offhandedly mention one of your favourite shows or comics and ask you questions about a certain character or the overall plot of said show or comic. Sometimes he likes to show off your knowledge, if someone says something wrong about a topic you know he immediately pauses them and says “I’m not sure if that’s correct, what do you say [Name]?” He says teasing the other person as you talk to said person about the topic.

- I feel like he would be the type of boyfriend to do anything for you and you alone. For example if you wanted something and have been talking about it to him you can bet he’s getting it for you. Even if the thing is expensive he would get it and by that he would probably steal it but to him it’s worth it if it’s for you. He doesn’t care that much about what people say about when he does this he just tells them off and for them to mind their business.

- Pretty much the only time you get to see him outside of his dick behaviour is with you. You can see him actually seems calm around you, when the two of you are chilling together, the two of you are just up against each other as the two of you just talk about random shit and just rant about things you like or don’t like. I am also pretty sure that he'd love to listen to you talking about horror! He'd probably look it up/read about it (at least try to read about it...) so he could discuss with you about it :) Since he has so many people that he treats like family, he'd always go for advice from them after seeing you sad/mad and he was being unsure of what to do. Always trying his best to comfort you and apologize for any harsh words he possibly said. [He'd go to Arthur and be like "oh Arthur :( I fucked up again...! I love her so bad but I think I said something mean, what should I do now?" with sad eyes and lost puppy face.] He'd probably notice little things you do for him. And if you give him any handmade gift (like bracelet or something) he'd wear it 24/7 :]

i will be spitting my opinion on these shows cause even tho im hyperfixated af i honestly don't like some of them.

and when i say some of them im really saying i dont like bitch fartman shows. 😭

watching dp for the first time and some fop eps is just making me realize, yeah these are really just not for me fr... i personally do not like fops mean spiritedness and dp can be a bit of a handful to watch for the first time when your not a child. that doesn't mean i hate the shows mind you, fop got a lot of bangers but also a lot of flops, and bitch fartman writing is a real... drag sometimes.

i will say i deffo know i am giving dp a hard time cause im only a few eps in. but this is my first time EVER watching the show. i do love how the school kids are written, they feel shockingly real? or at least as real as a bitch fartman cast goes. their all not just only character tropes they have more then "pretty one" and "bully one". idk that's at least what i got from it 4 eps in. sams writing can be super awful cringe sometimes but i love her and tucker too. (it is just because she is a teen alt girl in a comedy cartoon written by middle aged men in the 2000s, she was cooked from the start.... its ok i can change her.....)

i love jimmy neutron a lot! (even though i haven't watched a lot of the eps yet). but its just nice and silly and sweet, same with mlaatr. i love iz cause its SO FUCKING INSANE, and its really funny??? like i have caught myself laughing out loud at a lot of shit from it. same with spongebob (to be fair im really only talking about the first few seasons and some eps later on), but its such a funny show!

mlaatr art style is just so fucking amazing, im 10 eps in atm and i already bought the art book haha.

el tigre is also very charming and kinda funny??? its like real stupid jokes but they always catch me cause my sense of humor is broken asf.

i say all of this but i love all of these shows a lot, even with my little picks on them. and hey! fop isn't that dead to me cause new wish looks really fucking cute and doesn't have that mean spiritedness like i complain about. i actually love when cosmo and wanda talk to each other now! its now not just lowkey abuse it's like, actual loving bickering cause they love each other! (YIPPIE COSMO IS NOT CALLING HIS WIFE FAT AND UGLY ANYMORE!!!!!)
