Unhinged S3E6 Theory
That thing Wille said about not being able to cut his hair shorter has been bouncing around in my brain. Like he wanted to, and they told him 'no'.
What if they did shoot an 'epilogue' or final scene in the future for Wilmon and Wille has the super shortcut that Edvin has been wearing?
I wouldn't hate that.

stepcest, DNI if it makes you uncomfortable, please. scaramouche x fem!reader. smut. biting. blowjob. cunnilingus. riding. creampie. consensual recorded masturbation. squirting. degradation. praise. breeding kink. mix of harsh dom! scara and soft dom! scara.
oml the poll was so so close. i plan to write both. this is long and kinda a mess, ngl 😭😳
this week, having a lost a bet during a video game, you would be serving as scaramouche's sex slave. his personal fuck toy to cum inside and use whenever he pleased. not like you weren't already, but this added a degree of dominance over you that scaramouche particularly enjoys.
he also knew showing dominance over you sexually was relaxing to you. he more than knew that you are going to enjoy yourself as much as he is.
monday
once the moms left for a week long business trip, he put you on your back on his bed, naked with your legs spread. he held your wrists above your head and played with your pussy until you squirmed from the harsh throbbing in your clit.
your body is twitching as your sensitive walls clenched around nothing. "please," you moaned shakily, bucking your hips up to grind your puffy pussy on his fingers, "i can't take it anymore. i need your fingers, scara," he'd been working your pussy over in a way that made you lose all sense of time, building your orgasm up agonizingly slow. your hole clenched with the need for his fingers to be fucking inside of you.
"do you really think you are in a position to make demands?" scaramouche delivered a wet smack to your clit. your legs trembled as you cried out, shards of white hot pleasure practically piercing your core. "remember your place this week, slut," he hissed.
his cock got harder from the sheer rush of denying you the pleasure of cumming on his fingers. letting go of your wrists, scaramouche sat up and took out his phone. "be a good girl and touch yourself while you beg like a whore for your stepbrother's fingers."
your cheeks flushed hearing domineering tone in his voice. bringing the perfect view of you spreading your legs wider on his phone screen, he pressed record. he licked his lips watching you part your folds, your creamy cunt on display for him.
he stroked and fisted his cock watching you tease and rub your clit. "cry about how badly you want me to make you cum," he groaned, taking care to hold his phone steady to capture your little fingers pumping in and out of your pussy. he knew your small fingers were barely long enough to reach your sweet spot.
"i..i can't make myself cum," you whimpered, your clit throbbing as you pinched and rubbed it. your other hand drifts up to pinch your nipples for extra stimulation. "please, help me. i need your help to cum."
scaramouche's cock emptied itself onto your chest and stomach. on the nights he absolutely couldn't have you, this recording was going to serve him well.
tuesday
yesterday had been all about denying you. today however, was different. scaramouche wasn't going to stop until he had you cumming hard on his tongue as it lapped and sucked hungrily on your pussy. multiple times. he needed to taste how good he is tongue fucking you.
"more," you sobbed after cumming on his tongue a second time. or at least you thought it was your second time. scaramouche sucked an orgasm out of you so strong that it made you squirt. he dearly loved the embarrassed flush on your cheeks. "please, please more," you moaned, hiccuping softly.
you were so drunk on his tongue that you were senseless.
"shh, it's okay, kitten. i'll take care of you," he groaned as you desperately grind your pussy on his tongue. "just keep crying for me just like that," he held your cunt against his mouth, his tongue lapping every sensitive crevice. he focused sucks on your clit, holding you still as you squirm and mewl and pleasure.
wednesday
scaramouche threw his head back, unable to swallow his moans. you look so breathtaking bouncing on his cock, your pussy sucking him in as your thighs smacked against his. he folded his hands over your bouncing breasts, tweeking and rolling your nipples between the pads of his fingers. "bounce on my fucking cock like the slut you are. don't you dare look away from me," he commanded, taking one hand off your breast to grope and smack your ass.
you cried out as his cock head bullied relentlessly into your sweet spot, your thighs burning from the effort. "so..big," you whimpered, your back arching as his length stretched you apart so perfectly it took your breath away. "my stepbrother's cock is so big," your pussy clutched tight around his cock from his harsh degradation, your eyes filled with watery adoration.
"fucking keep talking, whore," you mewl from the sting of his hand on your ass again. "beg for your stepbrother to breed you," his cock throbbed realizing how deep he was fucking up into you, thrusting harshly up into you.
"breed me! breed me! i won't waste a drop of your cum, i promise," you plead pathetically, desperately chasing your high. his hands settle on a bruising grip on your hips, compelled to control your pace and bounce you dumb on his cock.
your cries for him to cum inside you never sounded sweeter.
thursday
your mouth was the definition of sinfully erotic, lips wrapped around his cock and sucking wetly. drool pooled from the corners of your mouth, your warm tongue lapping and curling in worship as he fucked his cock into your oh so pliable throat.
you cough, gagging as he pushed his cock into your throat. it felt like fucking heaven spasming and convulsing. "good girl, choking on my dick like a pro," he stroked his fingers lovingly through your hair, holding your mouth down on his cock as you adjusted your breathing.
any praise from your stepbrother, however degrading made your eyes light up. you muffled a moan on his cock, your sucks turning more eager. scaramouche laughed shakily, using your hair to bob your mouth up and down on his cock. "look at you, soaking up my praise like a needy slut," he hissed, his cock roping salty cum into your mouth. you swallow with his cock still in your mouth like a good girl.
friday and saturday
scaramouche fucked you harsh and unforgiving over the next two days. he is feral, not satisfied until his cum was seeping from your hole as fucked into you from behind. it was almost embarrassing how unholy the squelching sounded. "fuck, i am cumming again," he moans before his cock abruptly emptied inside of you. "be a good slut and let me breed you fuller."
pulling out, he flipped you over onto your back, wasting no time in stuffing your pretty, abused cunt full with his cock again. your moans tinged with sobs as he relentlessly drove his cock home into your sweet spot. pleasure has gone past completely consuming you, having fallen so dumb on his cock that all you could do was moan shamelessly.
scaramouche allowed himself to indulge in a rare treat. he'd just gotten off the phone with his mom, being told something has come up and they needed to stay an extra week. he sank his teeth into your flesh, holding you down while he sucked and bit dark, possessive bruises on your skin. bruises that could take their time healing without the stress of an explanation over the next week or so.
his teeth sucking and biting at your skin made you cum harder, his drool rolling down your neck as the dull, delicious ache of bruises blossom. he wasn't going to stop until his precious, delicate little step sister was all marked up.
sunday
the way scaramouche fucked you was leagues different from how he had all week. you'd been such a good girl for him, submitting to every whim and happily letting him enjoy himself. he knew you were sore and tired. his touches are soft, his lips and tongue soothing your inflamed, heavily bruised skin. he took his time, fucking you nice and slow. his kisses deep and open mouthed, stealing your breath from your lungs.
"do you realize how in love with you i am?" he babbled, slowly stretching you apart. he kissed you softly, gently nipping at your lips. he held you as you shook as his kissed deep into your sweet spot. "my good girl, my sweet girl. being so fucking good for me all week."
you rock your hips up to match his rhythm, clinging to him in the way he always enjoys. he gently stopped the motion of your hips. "let me do all the work, pretty. you just relax and enjoy yourself," you worked so hard pleasing him all week. you more than deserve this.
"p-promise you'll cum inside," you whimpered, relaxing underneath him. you could feel how genuinely he is in love with you while he fucked you. he took great care to pump his cock into your sweet spot slow and steady.
"remember what i said about making demands," he teased, playfully kissing your lips. this week has been all about his pleasure first. now it was about yours. you are going to cum at least twice before he filled you. "what do you say we continue this another week?" he caressed your cheek, stroking his thumb tenderly across it. "i still have plans."
of course you nod, turning your cheek into his hand.

NOTE: I’ve planned to write this chapter even longer, but then I decided that it would be pointless as most of the things would be repetitive. Here are the descriptions of some filmmaking terms, so when you are reading you know what the characters are talking about: D.O.P - Director of Photography/Cinematographer, the person who works closely with the director, and the person who determines the framing of the shots and capturing the scenes AC - First Assistant Camera, the person who is responsible for the focus of the camera and the lenses Call Sheet - The daily schedule, filled with all the information needed for the actors and the crew about when, where and what will be filmed Storyboard - Visual representation of a film sequence and breaking down the actions into individual panels, sketching out how the video will unfold shot by shot I hope that all of this Filmmaking things are not boring you, but I feel like if I don’t write them down the story will feel super fake and the logic will be missing and it won’t be clear why certain things are described a certain way, if you get what I mean 😅 Anyway I hope you enjoy this chapter as much as the previous ones, or even more hehe… also … there are some major foreshadowing in this chapter 👀 hihi enjoy ♡
It has been two weeks since the Halloween party, which I try not to think about much. Nami was quite upset with me the first few days after it, as I left without saying goodbye and because I wasn’t answering the next day. I wasn’t in the mood to talk about the party with anyone. When we met on Monday in lectures, I lied to her and Usopp that I felt super sick and because of it I left without saying anything not wanting to ruin their funny, and they bought it. Everything was fine, until I saw Ace once at the coffee shop, luckily for me he had his back facing me, so he didn’t see me. I recognised him by his orange beanie, but I quickly left as I wasn’t ready to see him again. Still, almost everyday I caught myself thinking about him at least once, going back to the moment we “shared” at the party. He had his ways to get under someone’s skin, I gave him that. We have barely spoken or knew each other, yet I couldn’t shake him off my thoughts. The way his actions and words were so contradicting. I still remember the burning feeling he left inside of me by just barely touching my skin, I can only imagine what it could have been if he had kissed me. Or maybe I totally misread the situation, but I would never know.
The only thing keeping me from thinking of him was the fact that I was extremely busy with the upcoming short-cut projects at university. I was stuck writing and rewriting my script, not being satisfied with it fully, and we must submit our final draft by the end of this week. Because of that we didn’t have any classes this week and I haven’t gotten out at all. Nami and Usopp texted me a few times to join them outside for a drink, even Luffy texted me to hang out, but I turned them all down, as my main focus right now was submitting my final draft.
Today I had consultation with one of my teachers regarding my script, as I wanted a second opinion if the story and the actions were clear. My meeting was scheduled at 2PM, so I got plenty of time as I woke up quite early, not being able to sleep in the past few days. I decided to get dress and grab a coffee from my favorite coffee shop. I put a pair of dark baggy jeans and just a basic grey cotton t-shirt, not feeling like dressing myself up today, as stress was taking over me. I didn’t even bother to put makeup or anything, I just put my jacket on, grabbed my bag over the shoulder and headphones and left. As I was on my way to the coffee shop when the next song that started to play from my headphones was Ace’s song. I had saved them all on my playlist; aside from Ace’s confusing behaviour at least his band’s music was good.
Touch my neck and I'll touch yours You in those little high-waisted shorts, oh
The song started to bring memories from the party, especially when the choirs hit.
'Cause it's too cold for you here and now So let me hold both your hands in the holes of my sweater
I wasn’t in the mood for this, so I quickly changed the song.
“Fucking Ace.” I cursed under my breath.
The sky was cloudy today, and I didn’t check the weather app, and it seemed like it was going to rain. Soon drops of rain started to pour from the sky and I started to run towards the cafe. My jacket didn’t have a hood, and my hair got wet and messy by the time I reached it. It was quite busy when I got inside, and my usual seat was taken so I went to wait on the queue before I sit somewhere.
“One black coffee, please” I ordered to the barista. My card declined as I was trying to pay. “Oh, I’m so sorry, give me a second.” I apologised to them, as I probably ran out of money, and I had to transfer from my savings.
“I will pay for her and make them two.” This smooth, low voice that I would recognise from miles away said behind me.
“Ace” I turned around immediately facing him. He just winked at me, paying for the coffees. The barista handed us the coffees and we thanked him.
“Thanks for the coffee.” I glanced at Ace and went to find a place to sit, leaving him by himself. I found a small table at the back of the shop. I sat down and pulled my laptop from my bag, trying to calm myself down. Of course, off all possible days I met him today. As the day couldn’t get any more stressful for me it had to serve me Ace on top.
“Mind if I take a seat?” Ace stood next to me, waiting for my respond. He had this little smug smirk on his face, and that slightly irritated me.
“Sure.” I gave him a short response. He sat down across from me, leaning his back on the wall, resting one of his arms on the back of the chair and the other on the table, his whole body facing away from me. I took a quick look at him. He was wearing baggy jeans with an oversized grey hoodie, which was wet from the rain, and his red bead neckless hanged around his neck as always.
“We are matching today.” He pointed out, tilting his head towards me. I looked down at myself and realised that we were wearing matching outfits. I gave him a simple nod, looking away from him back to my computer. “You look tired.” He said taking look at my tired face.
“I am tired.” I sighed.
“Is everything okay? Are you okay, doll?” His voice had a hint of concern.
“Don’t call me that.” I snapped at him.
“Why are you so moody? Someone stepped on your tail this morning... doll?” He mocked me. I shoot him a glance from behind my laptop not in the mood for jokes. “You look cute when mad, you know.” He chuckled at me, the smirk not leaving his face.
“What do you want Ace?” I raised my eyebrow at him.
“Nothing, just to sit and chitchat with a friend.” His answer pissed me off, like he forgot what happened two weeks ago.
“Ace...” I took a breath calming myself down before continuing. “I don’t want to be rude, but I’m under a lot of stress right now, so if you want to sit here – sit but I’m not in the mood for a chitchat.” I didn’t want to be mean at him, but also, I couldn’t hide my irritation right now. He just nodded and sipped from his coffee. We were sitting in silence – me on my laptop, writing and rewriting whatever felt right or not, and Ace was just scrolling on his phone. I took a sip from my coffee and couldn’t help but wrinkled my nose and furrowed my eyebrows as always. I heard Ace chuckle under his breath.
“What?” I asked Ace.
“Nothing.” He shrugged, his smug smile not leaving his lips.
“You are laughing at me, aren’t you?” I nagged.
“Please, doll explain this: why drinking coffee if you hate it?” He turned his body to face me, putting both of his forearms on the table, holding his coffee cup.
“Because if I drink something that I like I will get addicted to it and then I will want to drink it all the time – that’s why.” I responded.
“How may coffees you drink a day?” He had this mischievous spark in his eyes.
“Depends on the day, but sometimes two or three.”
“Doll, I think you are already addicted.” I rolled my eyes at his comment.
“Stop calling me ‘doll’, Ace.” What was with this pet name, he hasn’t stopped calling me ‘doll’ since Halloween.
“Why? You don’t like it?” He teased me.
“You call all your friends ‘doll’?” I teased him back.
“No, only you.” His voice was low, almost like a whisper, eyes glued on mine half lidded as always. Instead of a smirk he had this little smile playing on his lips. I broke the eye contact looking back at my laptop, starting to type on the keyboard again.
“What are you writing there?” He leaned on his hand, his voice soft.
“My script for the short-cuts.” My respond short, eyes not leaving the computer as I was re-reading the script, checking for mistakes or if I need to add extra remarks.
“Is that why you are so stressed?” He straitened up his posture, studying my face as he was sipping from his coffee. I simply nodded in response. “What is it about?” He asked and I looked at him hesitating if I should tell him.
“It’s about a man, who fell in love with this woman from the moment he saw her, but so did his best friend.” I chuckled feeling a little embraced telling Ace the plot of my script. “But his best friend hit on her first, so they started to date, and the whole scene is about them announcing their engagement and the man – the main character, gets lost in his thoughts of ‘what if’. ‘What if’ he did a move on her first, and they were the one dating and he knows how he would have treated her better ect.” I was babbling as Ace was just looking at me, taking every word, I said. “And then the ‘what if’ moment gets interrupted by his girlfriend who shakes him off the thoughts asking him what’s wrong and why he doesn’t congratulate them, and he quickly brushes it off and congratulates them only to whisper to his best friend's now fiancé that it should have been him.” I took a deep breath and raised my eyebrows in anticipation for Ace’s opinion on the script.
“Can I read it?” His voice and eyes sparkled with interest, so I turned my laptop and handed it to him. His face was unreadable while he was reading it until he handed me the laptop back.
“Well... what do you think?” I felt my confidence leaving me, as he wasn’t saying anything.
“I think that I don’t know much about scripts, nothing at all actually, but...” He paused for a second. “I can’t wait to see your film, doll. I really liked it.” Ace leaned on the back of the chair; arms crossed around his chest as he smiled at me.
“What? You mean that? You really liked the script?” My eyes widened of surprise hearing his response. “Like, you really, really mean that?”
“Yes, doll I do.” He chuckled. “Have more fait in yourself.” I didn’t know how to respond to this. I've heard this a lot – be more confident, have more fait in yourself, yet the ‘imposter’ syndrome could never leave me.
“Thank you, Ace. This means a lot.” I smiled at him.
“Nothing to thank me about.” He raised his cup of coffee to his lips and before he took a sip he added. “And if it sucked, I was going to tell you.” I playfully rolled my eyes at him.
“I rewrote it like a hundred times. I have a consultation with my teacher at 2PM, because we are submitting them tomorrow, so I hope he likes it, and I don’t need to rewrite again.” I closed my laptop and put it back in my bag. Ace looked at his phone to check the time.
“You still have some time, like almost two hours.” We stayed in silence for a moment, I was avoiding his gaze, as my shyness started to take over me, the memories of the party surfacing on my mind.
“How are your ears, by the way? I forgot to ask you at the party.” The mockery in his voice was so clear.
"My ears?" I didn't understand what he meant my that.
"Yeah, that video with you and Usopp." A big grin spread across his face when he.
“No, no, no don’t remind me.” I got all flushed as I covered my face with my hands, embarrassed of the accident with the microphone and Usopp. Ace laughed at my reaction.
“I love that video, I made Nami sent it to me.”
“What? No! No, no, no!” ‘Nami how could you?’ I was thinking to myself, why would she do that, why would Ace want that video. “Please, Ace delete it.” I begged him. “It’s not even that funny.”
“Yeah, it’s not funny – it’s hilarious.” He snorted, clearly enjoying mocking me like this. I shook my head giving up, my face still covered with the palms of my hand, as I knew that he wouldn’t delete it. “Hey, look at me.” I looked up only to see my shocked face zoomed on his phone screen as a screenshot.
“Ace!” I squealed, reaching with my hand to snatch his phone away to delete the picture but he quickly pulled it away. “Aceee.” I stomped my food like a little kid.
“Easy, doll. Going through someone’s phone is not polite, you know that?” He snapped his index finger hitting me on my forehead, laughing at my reaction, as I pouted.
“You are so mean.” I told him. “What are your plans for the day?” I leaned on my chair, mimicking his posture.
“Go to the studio, play a little with the guys, then talk with our manager about some marketing stuffs and deals – nothing interesting.” Ace shrugged; he didn’t sound very enthusiastic.
We stayed for an hour more – talking and laughing. It was so easy to be myself around him, yet sometimes I caught myself getting a little tensed when he smirked at me or made some teasing comments. I wanted to ask him what exactly happened with him at the party two weeks ago, but I didn’t want to ruin the moment we were having. Even thought we had four years difference I couldn’t really feel it as Ace was still carrying this very boyish energy in him. I got to learn a little bit more about him, and what he likes and dislikes. When it was time for me to head to university he suggested to walk with me to there since he still had some time before him and the guys meet.
The weather outside was still the same but at least it wasn’t raining. We were walking next to each other, almost no distance between our bodies. He was telling me more about his brothers, and things they did as kids.
“So, wait, wait.” I interrupted him. “You are telling me that your aunt Dadan didn’t have any money for your vocal lessons, but the moment Sabo said that he wants to learn how to play drums she immediately signed him up?” I was in disbelief.
“Yea, he is her favourite, as he is you know – blue eyed, blonde, cute.” He mocked her voice as he was describing Sabo. “Then you have Luffy, and last one is me – the black sheep.” He winked with a mischievous smirk.
“Why are you the black sheep?” That piqued my curiosity.
“Our friendship is way too fresh for this conversation, doll.” He bumped me with his elbow on the side, chuckling. I laughed it off, not wanting to push his boundaries.
“Okay one very, very important question before I go.” We were almost to the university when I stopped him before we part our ways. I stood in front of him, with the most serious look on my face, looking straight at his eyes as I pointed my finger at him and spoke. “Which is your all-time favourite movie?”
“Hm...” Ace frowned his eyebrows, thinking for a moment. “I’m not sure, I have to think about it, doll.” He smiled at me.
“I will be waiting for your answer.” I turned around and started to walk towards the school gates.
“Hey, doll.” Ace called after me. “You never gave me your number.”
“Not until you tell me your favourite movie.” I yelled behind my back, waving him goodbye as I entered the gates. My cheeks flaming hot, my heart was bumping fast, and for the rest of the day I don’t think that I would be able to take off the smile from my face. Maybe just being friends wouldn’t hurt, I’m sure I could put my little crush aside and before I know it, we would have this amazing friendship. Some people are better left as friends – and if Ace and I are one of them, so let it be it.
Ace was watching (Y/N) leave and as she disappeared from his sight, he laughed to himself. She was very interesting person. The way she changed her moods so fast, the way her eyes sparked when she talked about things she loved or was excited about, the way when even without saying anything her face betrays her and says it all – she was very fun to hang around. (Y/N) crossed his mind a few times in past two weeks, part of him regrating not taking his chance with her at the party, but then that was for the best. She was a nice girl and a friend of his friends, and he didn’t want to hurt her or give her some empty promises that he couldn’t keep. The least you two could of do was to try being friends, after all better friends than strangers. And she was quite young, Ace remember how he used to behave in his early 20s. The last thing on his mind was to keep someone for a longer than a month, when the world offered him so much; it should be the same with her – after all she was such a catch for the eye. Even today, all tired with sleepy bags under her eyes and messy hair, she was still very cute to look at. Ace wasn’t stupid he did feel the attraction they shared towards one another, but he was doing her a big-time favour by setting their boundaries straight. Although teasing from time to time wouldn’t hurt, she was such a tease herself, which was making it so hard for him.
Ace got to the building where the studio was located. The building was old and had five stores. The studio the guys were renting there was on the second floor. Before going up Ace wanted to light a cigarette or two. He leaned on the staircase and lit up one. ‘Favourite movie, hm...’ he was thinking about an answer he could give you of a movie that he really liked and could say that resonated with him.
“Yo, Ace.” He tilted his head to the side and saw Law walking towards him. They gave each other a quick bump on the shoulders. Ace pulled out his cigarettes from his pocket offering Law one, but he refused.
“What’s up with you? You seem moody.” Ace asked him, as Law seemed not to be in the mood. Law and Ace had been best friends since high school. They met after Ace was kicked out in 9th grade, from the one where him and Sabo were attending together. The first day Ace and Law met, they didn’t really like each other or spoke. It wasn’t until one day when Law was getting beaten up by some 11th graders bullies, and Ace jumped to help him, only for them to end up with detention. Since then, their friendship started. No one else but Law knew off Ace’s darkest secrets, and vice versa; even Sabo and Luffy didn’t know as much about Ace as Law knew. They both could easily read the other like an open book. Which was why Ace could tell something was disturbing Law.
“Nothing.” Law replied, but Ace wasn’t falling for that.
“Come on, bro. If you don’t tell me then who?” Ace took another cigarette lighting it up. He looked at Law again, raising his eyebrows questioningly if he was sure that he didn’t want to smoke one. Law sighed annoyed and took one, lighting it fast and taking long puff from it.
“So?” Ace waited for his respond, but he thought he already knew the reason behind it.
“Robin.” Law glanced at Ace knowing that he got the whole picture already. Ace snorted, shaking his head knowing that he guessed right.
“What did you do this time?” He looked at his friend frustrated face, knowing that it was probably him that messed up something again. Robin and Law were an on and off thing, that only Ace knew about, and it has been two years since this was happening.
“Why do you assume that I did something immediately?” He snapped at Ace, which only confirmed that he did in fact did something that lead to them fighting again. If Law was in a bad mood because of Robin then it meant that he fucked up, if he was going mad, almost insane then Robin did something. That has happened only once and it was when she wanted to end everything with him, and Ace swore that for the tenth years of him and Law being friends, he had never seen Law losing his mind the way he did that night.
“Fine.” Law said after a while. “You remember the chick from the Halloween party? Well, somehow Robin found out that I slept with her, so she is nagging on me now, how for a thousand time I broke our agreement.” He threw the finished cigarette on the ground, stomping it frustrated.
“Why do you even have this agreement in the first place?” Ace got annoyed as this wasn’t the first time this happened; since Robin and Law started seeing each other, they decided that they didn’t want anything serious, but if something was happening between them, they must not sleep with other people.
“I don’t know man, I just don’t want to go through this again.” Law exhaled. “Plus, we haven’t done anything in a month and so, so.. I thought to myself why not, you know.” He shrugged, the sound of regret could be heard in his voice.
“Did she tell you how she found out?”
“No, no idea. But there was this chick that walked on me at the party, but I was wearing the mask, so I doubt it that it was her. Even thought she looked familiar.” Ace didn’t say anything, he knew that (Y/N) walked on Law, but he decided to keep this information to himself, after all he doubt that she knew Robin.
“What are you planning to do then?” Ace threw his finished cigarette and nodded to Law to get going inside.
“Find a way to fix it.” Law murmured as they were going up the stairs.
The apartment where the studio was, was quite small a one room apartment but very practical. The whole space was turned into one big, isolated sound room. Thanks to Deuce and some of his connections the guys were able to rent it for themselves only for a very nice price. Going in Ace and Law were met with Deuce and Sabo, who were here since the morning. The guys greeted each other and started to chitchat as they were waiting for their manager. Some time passed and he finally came.
“Yo, what’s up Marco?” Sabo was the first one to greet him. Marco was a man in his mid-thirties, blond hair styled in a very interesting mullet style. He had been recently become the guys’ manager, as he had been in the music industry for the past ten years now. It happened after they were performing in some underground night club, and by chance Marco happened to be there that same night. After they were done with their set, he went to speak with them and gave his business card to get in touch with him.
“Same as usual, how are things with you boys?” Marco smiled at them as he pushed his glasses up adjusting them.
“Same as usual here.” Deuce replied, the rest of the boys agreeing.
“I don’t have much time today so I will get straight to business.” Marco clapped with his hands. “We can not afford to postpone this anymore so it’s time for you to finally decide which will be your debut single from the EP and we need to film a music video for it, as soon as possible.”
“Easy answer – ‘Sweater Weather’” Ace said not waiting for the rest of the guys to have a word.
“Are you all on the same page for this?” Marco glanced at the other guys to make sure that they all agreed with Ace’s choice of song.
“I think we all agree, it is our most streamed song.” Deuce said, Law and Sabo agreeing with the choice that Ace made as well.
“Okay, that was faster than I expected.” Marco chuckled. “I was thinking between ‘Sweater Weather’ or ‘Cry Baby’, so I agree with your choice guys. Now for the video, I already have some directors in mind. The first one is Ja-“
“We already have.” Ace interrupted him.
“What do you mean we already have?” Sabo looked at his brother confused, they have never talked about filming a video, let alone them already having the crew for it.
“Yes, Ace; what do you mean by this?” Marco asked, as confused as the rest of the guys.
“I have already spoken with some people, and they are down to film our first video. That’s it. No need to search for director or crew, we already have.”
“And they are?” Marco raised his eyebrow waiting for Ace to give him more clear answer.
“Luffy's friends.” Ace shrugged.
“You must be kidding me?” Sabo quickly snapped at him. Ace just shook his head, looking at his brother questioningly. “Ace, we need professional director and crew, not some kids who barely started to do this.”
“They are not kids, and I’m sure they will do pretty well. Plus, you don’t seem to call Usopp a kid when he is producing music for us, do you?” Ace snapped back at his brother.
“Because he has the talent for it, but he said it himself he is not such a good director.” Sabo tried to reason his brother. “Also have you asked him?”
“No, I haven’t.” Everyone whined annoyed with Ace. “But I will. And also, I didn’t say that Usopp will be the director.” All eyes were again on Ace.
“Who will be then Ace?” Sabo hissed, waiting to hear whatever his brother had come up with.
“(Y/N).” Ace shortly answered.
“Who?” Law and Deuce asked at the same time, the name sounded familiar, but they couldn’t put the face to the name.
“You are kidding me, right? Is she even good? Have you seen any of her work at lease?” At this point Sabo started to have a headache. He knew who his brother was referring to. Sabo also saw the way Ace and this (Y/N) girl behaved around each other at the party, so it better not be what he thought it was.
“Yea, she is pretty good.” Ace quickly lied. He had never seen any of her work, he was taking a big risk suggesting that, he wasn’t even sure what gotten into him to even suggest it. But something in his gut was telling him that it would work, that it would be worth taking the risk.
“Ace, I swear to Go-“ Sabo got interrupted.
“Guys, guys.” Marco raised his voice. “This is serious, this would be your first video ever, it must be professional, and very well made, not some school project. I don’t care how good these kids are or not, we are hiring you professionals.” The rest of the guys agreed with Marco, but not Ace.
“Listen, I know that this sounds crazy but trust me on this one. Plus, if its turs out bad then we can go for a professional, okay?” Ace tried to fight back.
“Ace this will be waisted time, why don’t you understand this?” Marco took off his glasses massaging his eyes, Ace was the hardest to work with.
“Yeah! Ace this will cost double.” Sabo stood up and looked at Ace, crossing his arms over his chest.
“It won’t, believe me because it will turn out good, I have a good feeling for this.” Ace also stood up getting closer to his brother. “Come on, trust me on this one, when have I ever let you down?”
“How do you guys feel about this?” Sabo turned toward Law and Deuce.
“As long as its turs out good I don’t care who will film it.” Deuce said, as he only cared for the final product.
“How are you sure that they will even agree to do it Ace?” Law asked.
“I have a feeling, okay.” Ace snapped. “Look I will ask them, we meet with them and if our ideas don’t match, we don’t hire them for it, and we go with whoever Marco has in mind.”
“Okay, this works for me.” Law sighed, not at all in the mood to argue today.
“Ace..” Sabo hissed his finger pointed at his brother. “You- you better be right or else I will beat the shit out of you for this.” He turned around and angrily sat on the couch.
“Um guys, it’s me who has the final word here, remember?” Marco looked at all off them in disbelief.
“Marco, you make sure to speak with the right people to make this viral, we fix the rest.” Ace patted him on the shoulder and left without saying anything more.
“He is unbelievable to work with.” Marco threw his hands in the air looking at the rest of the guys who weren’t paying him much attention as well.
“Hey, Usopp. What’s up my man?” Ace said over the phone. It was around 6PM when he got home and decided to speak with Usopp, about the video.
“Chillin’ with Kaya at home, you?”
“Just got home and wanted to speak with you.”
“’bout what?” Usopp asked. Ace was close to all Luffy’s friends, Usopp was even one of them that he could call his own friend.
“How do you feel about you and your friends from uni, filming our first music video?” Ace got straight to the point.
“Ace, we are still learning, plus I’m not the best director.” Usopp was more than surprised by Ace’s proposition.
“I know, I know, but think about it wouldn’t that be a great opportunity for you and your friends?”
“It would definitely be, but again we barely started I don’t know how we would manage to do something as big as a music video for you guys. Plus, it will be your debut video why don’t you go for professionals, you surely ain’t that broke.” Usopp joked.
“It’s not about money.” Ace quickly responded. “I just want you guys to do it.”
“I don’t know Ace. I really don’t think that this is a good idea.” Usopp hesitate.
“You don’t need to be the director, someone else can be.” Ace was quick to add.
“(Y/N) is good, but I doubt that she will be down for it.” That was exactly what Ace needed to hear.
“Do you mind giving me her number, so I can speak with her?”
“Yeah, sure. But good luck, again I don’t think she will agree. But I will send you, her number.” Usopp huffed, knowing that (Y/N) would not agree, but still it wouldn’t hurt if Ace wanted to try. Before they hung up Ace thanked Usopp and waited for him to send the number.
My consultation went pretty fast, as my directing teacher was super pleased with my script, he gave me some advice on what I could possibly change to make it easier to film after, but other than this it went well. Before I got home, I stopped by our chill area as I saw some of my classmates. We talked for a bit, exchanging some ideas and jokes here and there. It was nice to know that I wasn’t the only one being so overly stressed for the short-cuts.
I got home and prepared myself something to eat. After it I sat down to make some last changes on the script before I submitted it. I sighed in relief, knowing that I was halfway done with this assignment, and all we have left was to film and then edit it. I was just hoping that the actors I have assigned for my movie would do their roles good.
I laid down on my coach trying to find something interesting to watch. I wasn’t sure what I was in a mood for. While searching for something to watch I could feel that my fatigue started to take over, as my eyes were slowly starting to close. I had fallen asleep when I heard my phone ringing. I looked at the screen and it was unknown number, usually I never pick up if I didn’t know who was calling. I looked at the time and it was almost 8PM. Exactly before whoever was calling hung up, I picked up the phone.
“What’s Eating Gilbert Grape” The voice on the other end said.
“What? I’m sorry who is calling?” I sat on the couch, rubbing my eyes.
“The answer that I couldn’t give you earlier, doll. ‘What’s Eating Gilbert Grape’ – that’s my favourite movie, or at least one I can say that I really liked.”
“Ace? How- How did you get my number?” I was fully awake now; how did he find my number.
“I have my ways.” He chuckled.
“Creep.” I snorted.
“Are you happy with my answer?”
“Surprised. But not a bad choice at all.”
“What are you doing, doll?” I could feel his smirk over the phone.
“Nothing, I had fallen asleep on the couch, you?”
“Oh, sorry for waking you up then.”
“It’s okay. Now how did you get my number?” I was curious to know how or who gave it to him.
“I told you; I have my ways.” His tone was so teasing. “But I’m actually calling for business not for chitchat.” Now that piqued my interest.
“What business?”
“How do you feel about directing a music video?” I was taken aback hearing this.
“Um, I have never done it so, I’m not really sure how I would feel. Why?” I was confused by this sudden question.
“I want you to direct our first music video.” Ace blurted out.
“What?” I shouted not expecting this at all.
“Please, don’t shout in my ears.” Ace laughed at my reaction.
“I’m sorry. But seriously, are you insane? I’m so new to all of this, like the whole filmmaking thing, and music videos are slightly different to shoot than films, so I can’t Ace, I’m sorry I-I can’t take such responsibility.” I quickly said, turning down his offer even thought it would have been such a great opportunity, but he must contact someone professional.
“Come on, doll. I believe in you, I’m sure you will come up with something great.” He chuckled, not giving up.
“Listen, Ace...” I took a deep breath. “I’m so flattered that you believe so much in me, but I’m not that good.”
“Please.”
“Ace.” I sighed.
“Please, doll. We don’t want something over the top, we need super simple video, so we can put out there, plus we will pay you. So, please consider it and give me a call back tomorrow, okay?”
“I don’t think that my mind will change but sure.”
“Thank you, doll. I will be waiting for your final decision.” He said before hung up.
I sighed once again, but this time loudly. Why? Why he wants me to do this? He hasn’t even seen my work, why he trusted me so much to a point where he wants me to direct his band’s first ever video. It’s not that it would be that hard, it’s more the fact that with this video they are establishing themselves officially as a band, and their overall look. The offer really piqued my interest, and my mind started to think about a possible video idea, but I forgot to ask him which song they were planning to film it for. I grabbed my phone and saved his number, before I texted him.
“Which song will be the video for?”
He replied shortly after: “Sweater Weather”
I opened Spotify and went to their profile. It was their most streamed song, so it was logical that they chose it for their debut music video. I played the song and started to create a storyboard in my mind. Ace didn’t give me much information, so I if I agree to do this, I have a lot of questions for him. Do they have a crew already, or I will have to think of someone to help me? Do they have something in mind that they will want us to recreate in the video? When do they want to film it? And so many more questions popped up in my head.
“Oh, Ace....” I sighed to myself.
“So, you gave him my number?” I turned to Usopp when we finished with our class for the day.
“Yeah, he called me and asked me if we want to shoot their video, but I turned him down, as I’m not very good with directing, but they he told me that it can always be someone else, and I mentioned you and he wanted to speak with you... so... what are you down for it?” Usopp looked at me, trying to read my face.
“Well, that’s the thing. Part of me wants to, but another one tells me that I lack the skills.”
“You know,” Nami interrupted our conversation. “Dave from year two has done some music videos before, why don’t you guys speak with him, he might help you.” She suggested.
“This is a very good idea, Nami. I didn’t know that.” I hugged her. “But, yeah I’m down only if you guys are?” I looked at them both.
“Oh, no. I have too many things to do because of the short-cuts, and my group sucks guys, so I’m out.” Nami quickly turned me down.
“I can be your D.O.P, but I will need a first assistant camera.” Usopp said.
“We can ask Dave, if he is up for it, he can help us.” I smiled at Usopp, happy that he was down for the job. “Otherwise, it will be just you and I.”
“I’m actually surprised that you are planning to do it.” Usopp was right, I was surprised by myself as well, Nami also agreed with him.
“I know, but I have an idea that I think it will match their band’s vibe very good, and it won’t be hard to film at all so I think it would turn out pretty well, if they like my idea as well.” Nami and Usopp were both aware that I was not the most confident person when it came to how talented and good I was with filmmaking. Even thought both had told me millions of times that I should believe in myself and my skills more, sometimes it was really hard, yet I was always down for a challenge.
“Does any of you have Dave’s insta or something, so I can text him?” I pulled out my phone opening Instagram, to search his name.
“Yeah, here.” Usopp showed me his phone so I can copy Dave’s username. I followed and texted him. It didn’t take him long to respond, saying that we can meet somewhere later and talk about it. We agreed on meeting for a drink around 7PM, so I had quite some time until then.
“Usopp, will you come as well?” I asked him before we say goodbye.
“Nah, I won’t be able to, Kaya and I already have plans.” He hugged me and Nami goodbye. “But keep me updated.” He said before he left.
“What are you doing tonight?” I asked Nami as we were walking towards the metro station.
“Going out with Luffy and Vivi, if you wanna join after you finish your meeting with Dave.”
“I will think about it, as I will have to speak with Ace after it.” I didn’t want to promise anything for later, as I might be too tired to go out. Nami smirked.
“What?” I looked at her suspiciously, as her smirk was quite mischievous.
“Mmm, nothing.” She just glanced at me, her smirk growing.
“You don’t get to tell me, nothing with this smug smile growing on your face.” I nagged her.
“Well... Ace, hu?” Her eyebrows wiggled playfully. “Did you two know each other before? I remember Usopp mentioning something.” She pushed me a little with her elbow.
“Oh no, no, nothing like this.” I brushed it off quick. “We met accidently that’s all, it was even that Friday when they were preforming at my uncle’s bar, so it was pure coincidence.”
“But Sabo told me he saw you going somewhere with him at the party two weeks ago, and then you left without saying anything and you weren’t speaking with us much after that...” She looked at me, trying to study my face if I was lying to her. “Did something happen? You know I will not tell anyone. I’m just concern and Ace... well, Ace is Ace.” She chuckled.
“No, I swear nothing happened. We just talked for a bit inside and then we went somewhere, and I decided to go home.” I didn’t really lie to her, because all of this did happen, I just didn’t mention any details.
“Okay, I believe you if you say so.” Nami wasn’t fully convinced but decided to let it go. “But don’t fall for Ace or anything like that.” She added. “He is an amazing person, no doubt about that, but he is a womanizer, so for your own sake don’t cross this lines.” Her warning was valid, and this wasn’t the first time I heard this, but Ace and I already set that boundary anyway, so I didn’t need to hear it again.
“Don’t worry I don’t see him that way.” Now this time I lied, but my little crush on Ace was something Nami didn’t need to know.
I started to get ready around 5PM. I decided to wear something casually just a pair of flared dark blue jeans, with a black off shoulder blouse with a belt around the waist. I added some silver earing and quickly fixed my hair and makeup before checking the clock and to see what time it was. It was almost six, so I took my purse, put my black kitten heels and coat on, and left.
It took me around forty-five minutes to reach the place where we agreed to meet. It was a very nice and cozy jazz bar. I’ve never been to this place before, but just from the looks of it, it seemed like a place I wouldn’t mind coming to again. I looked around and I saw Dave sitting on a small table for two. I waved at him as he saw me.
“Hey, Dave thank you so much for meeting me.” I smiled at him as I was sitting down.
“No worries, the pleasure is mine.” He smiled back. “What would you like to drink?” Dave was super nice, I have spoken with him only twice so far and only in university, so I felt a little awkward right now.
“Just a glass of sparkling wine would be perfect.” I told him and he went to order for us. Dave was also a nice-looking guy. His hair was dark brown and full of curls, his jawline was sharp, and his beard was nicely shaved in a goatee style. He was dressed in a relaxed fit short sleaved black shirt and some linen white pants; he also had an earing on his left ear. Dave came back and handed me my drink with a smile. He sat back on his chair and we both shared an awkward laughed.
“So, music video, hu?” He said, flashing me another of his charming smiles.
“Yes, I got the offer last night, and I still haven’t accepted it, as it’s the band’s debut video, so I’m quite unsure if I should take the risk, you know?” I took a sip of the wine, glancing away from Dave.
“I know the feeling, don’t worry about it.” He reassured me. “Which band are you talking about?”
“‘The Neighbourhood’, you know them?” Dave shook his head. “Oh, you need to check them out, they are pretty good and growing popularity quite fast.”
“I will take your word on that.” He chuckled. “So how did they end up asking you to direct their video?”
“I’m a friend with the vocalist, and he really wants me to do it, as quote-unquote ‘he believes that I would do an amazing job’.” I waved my hands around in a question marks.
“That’s good, if you ask me - take the opportunity. Plus, I have heard that you are one of the tops of your class, and that you have quite a different vision from the rest so go for it.” Dave encouraged me.
“Yeah, ‘different’.” I shook my hands to my head, but Dave just looked at me confused, not getting the reference so I just brushed it off. “Um, I was wondering... would you like to help us? It will be just Usopp and I, and we will really appreciate it if we have a AC.” I bit my lip, looking at Dave from under my lashes.
“Well, depends on when you guys are filming, but sure.” He nodded, a coy smile forming on his lips. “But wouldn’t it be better if I’m your D.O.P as I have more experience with the camera than Usopp?” He made a very good point.
“Yes actually, you are right, we should do this instead.” I eagerly nodded as he also had experience with music videos. “And as for when we are shooting, I have no idea, I will call Ace later and hopefully he will give me more info.”
“That’s the lead singer, I guess?” Dave asked, hit of curiosity in his voice. I nodded with a smile in response.
“Now tell me more about your experience with music videos.” I playfully nagged him, as I was interested to know more about how things work with music videos. Dave started to tell me how even before he attended university, he had already done some music videos. Most of his friends were apparently musicians, and as amateurs they couldn’t afford to pay a professional photographer, so knowing about Dave passion with the camera they would always go to him. Time passed quite fast as we were talking, but we got interrupted by my phone, as I received some message.
“Don’t tell me you forgot about me, doll.” I read the message. I cursed myself as I totally forgot to text Ace today, but I wanted to speak with Dave first before I confirmed anything.
“Will you, please, excuse me for a second.” I told Dave, standing quickly from my chair and went outside to call Ace. The phone rang a few times before he picked up.
“Hey, doll.” His low raspy voice filled my ear.
“H-hey Ace. I’m so, so sorry for not calling earlier, I just wanted to check with a classmate from year two if he can help Usopp and me with the video.” I blurted out quickly as I felt embarrassed for making him wait for so long.
“So, I take this, as a ‘yes’ then?” His voice still low.
“Yes, I would love to film your video, Ace.” I whispered, my heart was beating fast against my chest, like I was making a deal with the devil or something close to this. The feeling hit me like a sudden wave, I couldn’t even explain it.
“Glad to hear this.” He whispered back. “What are you doing by the way?”
“I’m out with the classmate I told you about.” I cleared my throat.
“Date?” He teased me.
“No, no. We are talking about the video mostly.” I quickly explained myself. Ace laughed at my response. “What are you doing?” The question slipped my lips before I could stop myself.
“Chillin’ at home.” He hummed.
“Nice.”
“Mmm... if the date is bad I can always safe you, you know?” He joked.
“It’s not a date.” I whined at his comment.
“Sure, sure.” He mocked me again. “Well, wanna meet tomorrow with me and the guys to speak about the video?”
“Yes, this would be actually amazing if we can do this as soon as possible.”
“You got it. Send me your address I will come and pick you up.” A little smile twitched on my lips as he didn’t ask, he just stated it. “Bye, doll.” He quickly ended the call.
I slowly moved my phone from my ear, I could feel my cheeks burning and I quickly shook the feeling away. Opening my messages, I texted Ace my address and got inside the bar. Dave smiled at me as I sat down.
“So, what were we talking about?” I smiled back.
I woke up around 9AM the next morning, as Ace was going to pick me around 10:30. I was tired as I stayed until late last night, creating a storyboard with pictures so they could easily understand what my idea was. I got up, brushed my teeth and made myself a quick breakfast before I got ready. After I did my makeup, I looked around my closet wondering what I should wear today. I set my mind on a flared jeans again and just a simple cropped white t-shirt. My phone vibrated, notifying me that I have a message.
“Here.” It was short and simple; I caught myself smiling at it. I quickly put on my snickers and jacket on, before grabbing my backpack with my laptop in it. I ran down the stairs and when I opened the building’s entranced door, I saw Ace leaned on a motorcycle. He was smoking a cigarette, head tilted on the side. Dressed in all black with a black leather jacket on. He quickly turned around when he heard the front door closing, blowing the smoke away and throwing the cigarette on the ground. When I stood in front of him, he straightened his posture, looking down on me he winked.
“Ready to go, doll?” He smirked at me, handing me a black helmet. I took it and looked at it, then the Kawasaki motorcycle behind him. It was all black and scary looking. I looked back at Ace and shook my head with a scary look in my eyes, handing him the helmet back. He hearty laughed at my reaction.
“Come on, don’t be a baby.” He nodded me to get on it, as he put the helmet on my head. “I got you, doll. Nothing to be scared off.” Ace reassured me as he got on it and waited for me to do the same.
“Ace, I swear to God, if you had told me, you were picking me on this thing I would have never agreed.” He laughed again at my comment as I was shaky getting on it.
“Hold on me tight.” He grabbed my hands and wrapped them around his torso. My poor heart was going to explode. Not only I have to be on this scary thing but on top of it I had to be this close to Ace. “Lean your body on my back.” He looked at me over his shoulder before putting his helmet. I just nodded in response, too scared to speak. Ace turned his bike on and the engine rumbled. I tightened my hold around Ace. I could feel him laughing as his body trembled in my arms. Then he took off. As he was driving, I started to think to myself how much the motorcycle suits him. With getting to know him more and more with every passing day him owning a bike was making a perfect sense. It was as wild and free as his spirit.
Twenty long minutes, we finally arrived where their studio was. Ace parked the motorbike and took off his helmet. He looked at me over his shoulder and chuckled.
“You know, you can let go of me now.” He teased me. I immediately released my grip and took of the helmet. “So how was your first every ride?” The smirk on his face growing bigger, as he saw my flushed and scared face.
“I made it alive, so I give it eight out of ten.” I quickly got off from it.
“Eight out of ten? What should I do to earn the other two stars?” He chuckled, his smile big.
“You drove too fast.” I crossed my arms across my chest.
“I drove fast?” His eyes widen in amusement. “Doll, I swear I have never, ever, driven my bike as slow as I did today.” His whole face was in disbelief.
“Next time even slower.” I pointed my finger at him.
“So, there will be next time?” He teased me with a smirk. I rolled my eyes at him, but I couldn’t hide the little smile that played on my lips.
Ace got off the bike and nodded me to follow him. We entered the building and went to the second floor. Ace opened the door to their studio for me, and I thanked him. Inside Sabo, his girlfriend Koala, and Law were already there.
“Hey you two.” Koala welcomed us with a smile. “Nice to meet you again (Y/N).” She came to hug me. Sabo nodded at me, and Law’s eye widen when he saw me, and I quickly looked away. It was nice to know at least that it was him and not Ace that night at the party.
“Where is Deuce?” Ace asked.
“He is coming, caught in traffic, Marco as well.” Sabo explained. “So, you will be our director?” I could feel the hint of doubt in his voice, and I understood why he would doubt me in a first place. I barely started to study; I was an armature with a capital ‘A’.
“A-as long as you like my idea – y-yeah.” I awkwardly shrugged.
“Well, better be good then.” His tone was quite serious and a little harsh.
“Sabo.” Ace snapped at him, glancing at his brother warningly. Sabo just huffed and looked at me again.
“Sorry (Y/N), I just want the video to be perfect.” His tone was a little softer now. I lowered my gaze to the ground and just nodded.
“You want to drink something?” Koala asked me nicely. I thanked her but denied her offer.
After ten minutes, Deuce and Marco walked in. Deuce greeted me, and Marco introduced himself to me with a handshake.
“So, you are the director that Ace is putting all his trust for the video on?” Marco patted me on the shoulder with a smile. I glanced at Ace, but he quickly avoided my gaze.
“I guess, I am.” I cleared my throat. “Let me take my laptop, so I can show you the plan that I made yesterday, you can disagree with everything or add things to it as well.” I felt my heart beating fast again, my anxiety starting to built up. I pulled my laptop from my bag and held it in my left hand towards them. “Please let me know if you can’t see something or if it’s not clear enough.” I took a deep breath and started to explain my idea for the video. “The video will be shot in a greyscale, mostly medium shots, with some close ups here and there. The vibe of the whole video should represent the general vibe of the EP itself, so taking the things you guys sing about in the song and the album in general, I suggest that we take some shots of them all together driving around Grand Line coats line in a vintage car, then walking around at a funfair, lounging in an apartment and walking along a beach.” I added at the end that if they were satisfied with the idea, we must shoot next Monday and Tuesday as we would need sunny weather. I patiently waited for their reaction. I looked at Ace, who was leaned on the wall, arms crossed over his chest, he just nodded at me and wink. I heard clapping and turned my head to see who it was.
“Bravo.” Sabo clapped standing up from the sofa. “I love it. And I’m surprised. Wow.” He had a big grin across his face.
“I like it, too.” Law said, nodding at me granting me his approval.
“Same, here.” Deuce added. Koala gave me the thumbs up with a big smile across her face.
“I like the idea as well, but I would like to add one small detail.” Marco said clapping his hands, looking at the guys. “It is romantic song after all, so we need to see some romance. So, I would like to suggest that we hire a model, and we have some scene with her and Ace.” Marco looked at me with raised eyebrows, expecting to hear my opinion on it.
“Y-yeah, o-of course.” I chuckled, nodding my head slightly. “As long as Ace feels comfortable with it, we can include it.” We all looked at Ace.
“Why me, tho?” He raised his eyebrow toward Marco. “Can’t Sabo do it with Koala? This will save us time and money.” He pointed out.
“Because you are the lead singer in the group Ace, and as one, the main focus is on you.” Marco explained short and clearly.
“Ha, Ace, since when you mind making out with models?” Deuce mocked Ace.
“I don’t, I’m just thinking if we are doing this on Monday and Tuesday, how we gonna find a girl so fast?” Ace rolled his eyes.
“Like you don’t know a hundred pretty girls.” Law snorted at him. Ace laughed at him and told Law to shut up. Marco interrupted them.
“Guys if you can’t find a girl, this is why I’m here for.”
“What you gonna dress up as a girl and make out with Ace?” Sabo joked and everyone burst out laughing at Marco.
“Of course not, but I can always contact a model agency.” Marco huffed, as much as these guys were talented, they were as much as hard to work with as well. “So, we make it possible, right?” He turned to look at me. I just nodded at him. “Perfect, I will contact you for the payment later and you sent me an email with what you would need for the set and what we should rent and whatsoever.” He handed me his business card and bit us all goodbye.
“Have you guys ever been in a video or something before?” I asked them as I was putting my laptop inside my bag. They all said ‘no’. “Well, better prepare as it will feel strange to see yourself on the screen.” I laughed a little.
“Have you done it yourself?” Deuce asked me.
“Yeah, and I hate it, that is why I prefer to be behind the camera.” I have always felt bad for the actors, as I knew it wasn’t easy at all for them to look at themselves on the big screen. I have done it a few times and I hated the feeling of seeing myself. The difference between a phone camera versus film camera was so big people had no idea. Even my father, till this day doesn’t feel comfortable to see himself, and he is pretty self-obsessed person. “Well, I will have to contact Usopp and Dave and let them know that we are doing it this Monday and Tuesday, I will have to go now as I will need to find locations where we could film without a problem.” I announced as I grabbed my bag and bit everyone goodbye.
“Wait, I will come with you.” Ace came after me.
“No need, I can do it alone.” I reassure him.
“I didn’t ask, doll.” He winked at me, closing the door behind us.
We arrived at the west coastline beach after almost forty-minute ride. We got of his bike and Ace smirked when he locked at me.
“How was the ride this time?” Ace teased me.
“Honestly this time you could have driven faster.” I teased him as well.
“You little...” He hissed at me, biting the inside of his cheek as he shook his head.
“Hop, hop, we don’t have all day mister.” I clapped my hands and made him follow me. I started to take some pictures of where would be best for us to stand and shoot them driving by as we had to be careful with how fast they should move. Ace was quite polite to write down every note for me, and things that we would need. Then we went to look around at the funfair.
“Do you wanna get on one of the rides?” Ace whispered in my ear as I was taking pictures making mental notes to myself.
“Oh, I would love to, but now we have to work, so some other time.” I moved my head slightly as I answered him, not realising how close he was standing to me, only for our faces to end up millimetres apart. We both took a step away from the other quickly. Ace cleared his throat telling me that I was right, and we should focus on work.
Time passed so fast and before we know it the sun was setting. It was beautiful, the sky was coloured in light pink and purple, the waves were crashing softly, as today it wasn’t windy at all. Some people were sitting on the beach, others were running around or playing with there kids or dogs. It almost felt like a summer day even thought it wasn’t. We were walking on the beach, shoes in one hand as we were talking about random stuffs, it was so easy to open and speak with Ace. The comfort I felt around him was so strange and nice at the same time, something that I have never experienced with another person before.
“And how are you and Shanks related?” Ace asked, his eyes not leaving my face.
“Well, we are not blood related, let me clarify this first.” I waved my hands around. “But him and my dad have been like brothers since they were kids, so yeah. Ever since I can remember Shanks has been part of my life...” I paused for a second, swallowing the bitterness in my voice. “Especially after my mother left me and my dad, he literally became my second dad.” I exhaled the breath that I didn’t even realise I was holding.
“I’m sorry to hear this, doll.” Ace gave me a soft look, as he ruffed my hair. I pouted at him as I tried to fix it, and he chuckled. “Look at least, you grew up with a father that from what you’ve told me so far, loves you unconditionally.” His voice was so gentle when he told me this.
“Yes, I am lucky to have a father like him.” I smiled thinking of my dad.
“But... I don’t know if I should ask this or how...” Ace paused for a second, gathering his thoughts. “Why she left...?” He glanced at me, to make sure that he didn’t overstep some boundary. “Actually, don’t answer this forget about it.” He brushed it off quickly.
“No, it’s okay.” I shrugged, I felt like I could open about it to him. “She never wanted to be a mother in a first place, so after she gave birth to me, she got in a very deep postpartum depression, and it did take a big tool on her.” I paused for a minute. “My dad tried everything to help her, but she refused, and she turned to hard drugs, so... yeah my mother is a junkie.” I breath out, looking at Ace who was listening to me, but his gaze was lowered to the sand. “When I was around five, she just left a note that she doesn’t want to hear or see us anymore, and since then I have no idea where she is. My dad still cares for her, and I never really understood why, especially after all she put him through. I found a few years ago that he is her emergency contact, and I got mad about it, as she doesn’t deserve him. Last year she tried to contact me, but cut her off fast...” I bit on my lip, looking at the sand as Ace and I were walking in a silence for a moment. “But yeah, this is the short version.” I clapped my hands, dropping one of my shoes and picked it up. “Your turn now. I’m curious to know how you are all brothers, yet your last names are all different” I pushed Ace’s shoulder a little bit, causing him to chuckle.
“Well, we are not blood related at all.” Ace laughed when he saw my reaction.
“Wait, what? Even with Luffy? You two are like twins.” I couldn’t believe what I’ve heard.
“Yeah, I know it’s scary how much we look alike, but no, not related at all.”
“I’m really curious now, but if you don’t feel like speaking about it’s okay.”
“Nah, it’s fine. I can share a little bit.” Ace poked my side, and I giggled. He cleared his throat before he spoke. “My mom died when I was born, and my father has been killed a little before my mom gave birth to me, so I know nothing about my parents.” I saw his jaw clenching hard as the tone of his voice changed as well. “Then her sister, my aunt Dadan, took me and raised me.” He snorted, his tone sounded lightly but his face was giving him away. Sadness and pain were written all over it. “Then she applied for a foster parent, and that is how Sabo came to the picture. As you know he is her favourite.” Ace looked at me tossing his hair aside the same way Sabo does all the time, and I couldn’t help but laughed. “Then the most annoying, gut wrenching, cry baby ever came into our home aka Luffy. God, I hated him from the bottom of my hear at first.” The way Ace was telling his story was heartbreaking, as he was trying to turn it into comedy so bad. My heart was aching for him. “Then some things happened and as of today, I can really say that Luffy is the only person I’m willing to give my life for.” The smile he had on his face when he was talking about Luffy was so pure and honest.
“I don’t know Luffy very well, but he does look like quite the pure soul.” I smiled at Ace as he nodded.
“You should definitely get to know him; he is the best.” Ace eagerly said his mood totally changed now. I felt my stomach growing and Ace looked at me. “Someone’s hungry, eh.”
“Yeah, I have only eaten a breakfast today.” I chuckled.
“I know a very nice Italian place here, wanna go and try it?”
“You don’t need to ask me twice.” We both shared a laughed and started to walk toward the restaurant.
The drive to my place took us almost an hour. A long and a very scary hour, as I had to ride on the back of Ace’s motorbike for a third time today. When he finally stopped in front of my place I relaxed on his body. We stayed like this for a minute – my hands wrapped around his torso and as I was leaned on him, and he had his hands on my knees. He was he first one to take of his helmet, running his hand around his messy hair. I pulled away from him, taking my helmet off as well. Ace looked over his shoulders at me.
“You had fun today, doll?” His eyes half lidded; he seemed a little tired.
“I did.” I smiled at him, getting off from the bike. He nodded with a smile at my response. “We see on Monday then. Thank you for the rides, and the dinner by the way.” I added, but Ace brushed me off.
“Please, that’s nothing.” He winked at me, pinching my cheek. I scrunched my nose at him, and he laughed at me. “Well, see you on Monday, doll.” He went to put back his helmet before I stopped him.
“Wait, Ace.” I grabbed his hand, as he lowered it and looked at me, raising his eyebrow. “You were the only one who didn’t say anything about the video idea... did you not like it?” My hand still on his, he just gave it a little squeeze and smiled at me.
“I loved it, doll.” Then he went on and put his helmet on. “Now go home.” He ordered me. I nodded and turned around to go. As I opened the front door, I waved at him one more time, as he was waiting for me get in safe, before he drove off.
I woke up at 6AM on Monday, as we were going to our first location at 8AM. Yesterday Usopp, Dave and I spent the whole day making the floorplan and the storyboard based on the pictures I took on Saturday at the locations. I sent the call sheet and a list of things we need for the shooting. Marco surprised me so much by how fast he arranged and found everything that we would need for the shoot. I quickly dressed myself in a pair of baggy jeans and oversized hoodie. I put some day cream and mascara on as I didn’t have much time to get ready, and received a text from Usopp that him and Dave were downstairs. We were going with Dave’s car as the west coastline was an hour drive away. I quickly put my sneakers on and left. Usopp and Dave greeted me when I opened the passenger door.
“Ready to film your first music video?” Dave charmingly smiled at me. I nodded with a smile. “Good, we got you some coffee.” Dave said, and Usopp handed me one, him sitting on the backseat.
“Are you guys ready? It’s going to be a long day.” I took a sip of my coffee, hating the taste of it as always. They both nodded and we drove off. Usopp was in charge of the music in the car, so we had a fun ride. We arrived on time and started to unload the equipment Marco rented for us, as he wanted the best quality for the video. Law and Deuce were the first ones to arrive. I spoke with them on the side while Usopp and Dave were fixing the camera.
“Do you know when Ace and Sabo are coming?” I asked them, as I wanted everything to go according to the time schedule.
“Yea, they will be here soon.” Law replied.
“They had to go and take the car that Marco rented for today.” Deuce explained to me. While we waited for them, I explained a little bit to Law and Deuce what I would need them to do while we film. After fifteen minutes we heard a honk. We all turned around and saw Ace and Sabo driving slowly towards us in a very nice 1969 Mercedes-Benz. Sabo was the one behind the wheel, and Ace was chilling on the passenger seat. They parked and got out of the car.
“Yo, what’s up people, you liking my ride?” Sabo pointed at the car. “I will be the one driving it, keep this in mind.” He squinted his eyes at Law and Deuce giving them a warning look. “How is the director doing?” He gave me a hug which surprised me.
“I’m doing good, thanks. You, Sabo?” He gave me the thumbs up and went to speak with Usopp and Dave. “Hey, Ace.” I waved at him as he was standing next to the car, smoking a cigarette.
“Hey, (Y/N).” He gave me a little smile, but I tilted my head and raised my eyebrow at him. What happened with ‘doll’? I walked up and stood in front of him.
“Are you okay?” I was concerned, was he in a bad mood or something. Ace looked at me confused, moving his head on the side blowing the smoke away.
“Yeah? Why?” He chuckled. I blinked a few times and shook my head.
“Nothing, just... just checking on you.” I murmured. “Are you excited to start shooting?” I bounced on my heels, as I waved my hands in the air. Ace laughed at me as he took another puff of his cigarette.
“I think you are the most excited among all of us.” He smiled at me.
“(Y/N)! Can you come, please?” Dave shouted, him and Usopp needing me to help them. I mouthed a quick ‘sorry’ to Ace and went to check on them.
After twenty minutes we were ready to start shooting. I explained to the guys what I would need them to do for the first scene we were shooting and they all nodded understanding my instructions.
“Oh, and one last thing when we shoot a take, I will be most likely first check with Dave and then with you guys and it’s technical stuffs, so don’t think you are doing a bad job, okay.” I gave them the thumbs up, and we were ready to start. The first scene we were shooting was of them driving down the street, we shoot it from five different angles, and we were switching between medium to medium close-up shots. It took us around an hour and a half to be done with this. Then we drove besides them in the same speed so we could catch a better close-ups of them in the car. We finished around lunch time, so we decided to take an hour break. I wasn’t hungry, as when I’m working, I get too focused on the task that I skip meals, so instead I wanted to go and take some shoots of the buildings around us and the palms.
“You guys go, and remember we will meet at the funfair entrance, okay?” I said as I picked the camera stand under my arm and the camera case I was holding in my other hand.
“Don’t tell me you are not going to eat.” Ace scolded me.
“I want to take some shoots of the buildings around, so we don’t waste time later and I’m not hungry, so you go guys.” I reassure him. He was going to protest when Dave interrupted him.
“I will come with you (Y/N). I don’t want you to carry all of this by yourself.” He came next to me and took everything from my hands.
“Are you sure, Dave?” I didn’t want to take from his time of the break as he was already doing too much by helping me and Usopp.
“Of course, I am. Come on, I’m following you.” He gave me a coy smile and I nodded. I waved the guys goodbye for now, everyone else waved too, except Ace. He side-eyed me and shook his head before following the guys. I frowned confused as of why he did this. I nodded to Dave to follow me, and we started to walk. The hour went fast, but luckily thanks to Dave’s experience we captured everything I had in mind. Dave was fun to hang around with. We were laughing and joking the entire time.
“So, you want me to handheld the camera when we shoot at the funfair?” He asked me again, making sure that he understood correctly.
“Yes, exactly.” We went back to his car to leave the camera stand as we wouldn’t need it anymore.
“Have I done something bad to you?” He joked with me, and I giggled at his expression. Doing a handheld shoot was probably the worst thing for the cinematographer. I messed around with him and squeezed his bicep.
“Nah, Dave, I think you can handle it perfectly.” I winked at him, and we both laughed. We started to walk towards the funfair where we were meeting the guys next. When we reached the entrance, everyone was already there. “Hello, again guys. Hopefully you had a nice break, as now we are back to work” I gave them a big smile, Sabo and Deuce cheered, Law just nodded, and Ace’s face was unreadable. I cleared my throat and explained to them that right now they just need to have fun, and we will try our best to capture everything that we would need for later when editing. Usopp and Dave were switching every few minutes, so their hands didn’t get too tired. I was having quite lot of fun with them and so did the guys, at least it seemed like it. Ace and I locked gazes a few times, but he was the one who broke it first every time. Was he mad at me for something? I tried to shake this feeling away and focus on my main priority right now.
“And it’s a wrap.” I shouted and everyone clapped.
“Uh, I hate you (Y/N).” Dave smirked at me as he took off the camera from his shoulder and gave it to me so I can check the last footage we shoot. I stuck my tongue out at him, and he chuckled at me. Usopp came next to me to check the footage as well.
“Do you guys want to see it?” I looked at them four, but they shook their heads.
“We want to wait and see the finished material.” Sabo exclaimed.
“Okay, then we see you all tomorrow at...” I turned to Usopp as he knew the call sheet better than me.
“3PM, the attic apartment Marco rented for the day. You have the address on the call sheet. Also, Ace should I contact the girl that’s coming tomorrow and give her the info, or you will do it?” I have totally forgot about this part, a little pang of jealousy grew inside of me, but then I remind myself ‘no lines to be crossed’.
“I will be picking her up, so I will take care of this.” I bit the inside of my cheek when he said that. I gave him a quick glance and I saw a little smirk playing on his lips.
“By the way, who did you ask?” Law raised his eyebrow at Ace with curiosity.
“Samantha.”
“Wasn’t she pissed at you for ditching her at the Halloween party?” Sabo mocked his brother.
“Not anymore.” Ace snorted. I cleared my throat and turned to the guys who were messing with each other.
“Well, then guys.” I clapped my hands and put my fake smile on. “Thank you for today and see you tomorrow then.” I avoided looking at Ace while waiting for Usopp and Dave to put everything back in the case. Once they were ready, we all said goodbye and went back to Dave’s car.
“That was fun, can’t wait for tomorrow.” Usopp exclaimed once we were in the car.
“Yeah, these guys are fun to work with.” Dave agreed with him. “Hey, are you okay? You seem a little down.” Dave observed my face. I recomposed myself and smiled at him.
“Yes, yes, I am. Just a little tired.” He patted my back gently, believing what I told him. We drove off and I leaned on my head on the window. Tomorrow was going to be an even longer and tiresome day. I closed my eyes for a second and I fell asleep in the car.
“Everything set up?” I asked Usopp and Dave.
“Yes, it’s all done.” Dave nodded at me. I breath out as I looked at the band.
“Where is Ace?” One thing I would never tolerate was someone being late on set, without notifying anyone. And Ace was almost forty minutes late.
“He is coming, maybe he is in traffic or something.” Sabo tried to defend his brother.
“You know what guys, lets start shooting.” I clapped my hands. “Which one of you wants to be filmed first as we will roll some close-ups?”
“I can do it.” Sabo volunteered. I nodded and gave them some instructions as it would be easier if they interacted between each other even though the camera would be focused mostly on Sabo.
An hour later Ace finally showed up with his arm wrapped around the shoulders of the girl, which I guess was named Samantha.
“Sorry guys for being late.” He bit us a quick apology. I didn’t even look at him as I was so pissed. “This is Samantha, and she will be helping us for today so be nice.” She giggled at his introduction, and she waved everyone ‘hello’. Usopp and Dave greeted her, as they introduced themselves by shaking hands with her. She came to me reached her hand for a handshake. We shook hands and I bit her a quick ‘hello’.
“At least, you aren’t the only girl now.” She smiled at me; I nodded at her and returned the smile. She was beautiful – tall, blonde, with a very nice body; she was like a real-life Barbie. I cleared my throat.
“Well now that everyone is here, we need to take a master-shot of you guys, then some medium and the last thing we will do is the close-up of Ace and his scene with Samanta, clear?” My tone was quite serious.
“Can’t we take mine and Samantha’s first?” Ace asked me and I finally glanced at him. He had this smug look on his face, that pissed me off even more, but I kept my composure and answered him with a smile.
“No, Ace we can’t. Why we can’t, you may wonder? Because we waited for you for almost two hours, so now you will have to wait, am I clear?” The smile might have been on my face, but my tone was sharp and clear that he shouldn’t mess with me right now. He just smirked and nodded, not saying anything further. “Then let’s start rolling.” I clapped and explained what they should do now for the master. Two hours later we were done with it and only Ace and Samantha’s scenes were left to shoot.
“Thank you, guys so much. It was so nice to work with you. We don’t need you in the rest of the pictures but it’s up to you if you want to stay here or go and do whatever you want.” I spoke to Sabo, Law and Deuce. Sabo came and hugged me as he thanked me and said he can’t wait to see the final result. Deuce did the same, and Law just high-fived me. They bit goodbye to the rest and left.
“So, according to the story board we have two close-ups left and one medium close-up of the two of them.” Dave came to me and spoke over my shoulder. I looked up at him and nodded. “Which one should we take first? Hers or his?”
“Let’s take hers first.” I nodded at him. “Hey, Samantha.” I called her, as she was standing in front of Ace, as they were obviously flirting with each other. She turned to face me, looking at me a little confused. “Sorry for interrupting your conversation, but we need to take some shots of you alone, so I will need you to stand next by the window and then on the couch.” She quickly did as I told her to, and we started to roll. It didn’t take us long to shoot her angles only around twenty minutes. I thanked her, and then turned to Ace. He was looking at me, face unreadable again. I clenched my jaw as today he was really walking on my nerves.
“It’s your turn Ace.” I called him. He pushed himself from the wall and came closer to me.
“So, what do you need from me, director?” His tone was light, but his face was like a stone. I bit the inside of my cheek before answering him.
“The same as her.” I gave him the shortest answer possible. He nodded and stood next to the window. There was this built-up tension between us, Dave looked at me raising his eyebrow. I shook my head at him like everything was fine, and he slowly nodded. We had to readjust the camera as Ace was quite tall. We started to roll, and I couldn’t take my eyes of the screen. He did look very good in front of the camera; I couldn’t deny him that. The way his hair was falling around his face, his freckles, his dark brow eyes and his full lips, he will definitely sweep away many harts once they become known name. “And cut.” I softly said moving my gaze from the screen to him. Our eyes locked, but I locked away.
“Okay, let’s move to the last scene we have to film and it’s a wrap after it.” I cleared my throat before looking at Samantha waving at her to join. “Now I need you to get closer to each other, and the most important thing is that Samantha feels comfortable with whatever you guys spoke about doing, so the moment you feel slightly uncomfortable we cut on the second, okay?” I locked at her seriously, as I didn’t want to put any woman in a position where she might feel uncomfortable on set.
“Oh, you don’t need to worry (Y/N), I know Ace very well.” She winked at me mischievously. I shared a fake laughed with her, but good thing she didn’t catch it.
“Okay, so whenever you guys are ready, just let us know and we will start to roll.” I stand between Dave and Usopp. “And action.” I called. Samantha went and laid down on the couch, taking Ace’s hand in hers, making him hoover over her. She ran her hands up and down his back, up to his neck, pulling him closer to her. Then she buried her fingers in his hair. She pulled him even closer as she pulled herself up a little. They were inches away from kissing each other, and I bit the inside of my cheek, my hands squeezed in a fist. I couldn’t watch this any further.
“Cut.” I called out. Everyone locked at me confused. “What?” I smiled innocently at them.
“Why did you cut?” Samantha asked me and frowned when Ace pulled up from her. I could see his smug smirk on his face. I moved my attention back to Samantha and with a smile I replied to her.
“Because we have it, it’s perfect, you can check it out if you want.” I suggested looking at the footage again.
“It’s pretty good.” Dave reassured her.
“Well, you are the professionals, so if you say it’s good, I believe you, but still, I want to see.” I moved aside so she could look at the screen. “Oh my, Ace.” She squeaked excitedly, looking at Ace. “We look so hot; you should see that.” Ace made a grimace and shook his head. I covered my mouth to suppress my laughter. Ace saw me and rolled his eyes at me, which lighted up my mood. I calmed myself and announced that we were done.
“It’s a wrap guys.” Dave and Usopp cheered, and Samantha clapped her hands. Ace only nodded. “Thank you so much for the opportunity, Ace.” I was still pissed at him, but at the same time grateful. “I should edit it by Friday and when it’s done, I will send it to Marco.” I told him as we started to pack the equipment.
“No need to thank me, (Y/N).” Ace patted me on the shoulder, before he nodded to Samantha to get going. She wished us good night and they left. The bitter feeling of jealousy came back. I couldn’t deny it, but also there was no point of me being jealous. He was just my friend, a friend who was walking on a thin ice around my nerves, nothing more or less.
“Well-done guys, well-done.” Usopp high-fived me and Dave. “I can’t wait to see how it will turn our after you edit it (Y/N).” He exclaimed excitedly.
“You know if you need help with the editing, you can always call me.” Dave added, coming closer to me.
“I think I will manage, but I will keep this in mind.” I smiled at him. “Let’s pack these faster guys, I’m starving, and I really want to go home.”
I was laying in bed; it was almost midnight, and I couldn’t fall asleep. I was tossing and turning in bed for the past hour and a half. Ace was stuck in my mind, and that scene between him and Samantha. On top of it, the whole ‘Me and Ace know each other good’ was like on repeat in my mind. Knowing that I will have to edit and look at the footage of it was eating me from the inside. And what was with his attitude in the past two days? I swear Ace from Saturday and Ace from the past two days, were two completely different people. My phone vibrated. I grabbed it and I sighed loudly as I read the message on the screen.
“Did someone step on your tail today, doll?”
I hesitated if I should reply. The audacity this man has.
“Yea, someone who was almost two hours late.” I angrily typed and sent. Not even a minute later he replied.
“Sorry, about that doll ;(” I just left him on seen. “I would love to be the first one to see it btw” he sent a second message.
“I will think about that” I replied.
“Don’t be mad at me, doll” I just looked at the message from the notification banner and didn’t even mark it as seen. Also, the ‘doll’ thing was back, not that I wanted him to call me this, especially in front of everyone else, but I kind of got used to him calling me that. I turned on the TV to watch something that would hopefully put me to sleep. ‘Fucking Ace’ I cursed under my breath.
NOTE: Sooo.... I really hope you liked the chapter, and the interactions Ace and Reader had. From now on there will be more and more of it. Also I gave you a little bit of Ace's pov in this chapter, but still there is so much more to reveal of his character, as in general Ace is a very complex persona. YOU GRUNTED, almost throwing your phone away when you entered Nico’s apartment, which was basically your second house now.
There were tiny, somewhat insignificant things around his place that reported that you two were together, things like your hairbrush in his bathroom, your toothbrush beside his, your books and phone charger on his bedside table.
Or maybe the fact that he keeps buying the sweets he knows you like, or when he changed the brand of softener he used because you once briefly mentioned that it made your nose itch.
You won’t deny that you’re happy with the fact that he seems pleased to have you around, but you’re still not sure if you want to move in with him— your story already sounds crazy and fast paced enough.
Still, you enjoy spending your days off with him, especially when he’s also at home, which is tonight’s occasion. He’s sitting on the couch watching The Godfather when you enter the house, but you don’t even have time to properly greet him before Richard starts talking again.
“Technically, it wasn’t due until 5 p.m. today. So, no need to get your... keyboard in a knot.”
You scoff. “My keyboard in a— what?! Richard, I was waiting for your notes last night so I could approve it. I guess I didn’t factor in your busy schedule of... what was it? Two hours chatting up Emily from graphics?”
“Oh, come on,” he laughs, like he didn’t delay a week’s worth of work. “It wasn’t two hours. More like 45 minutes. And anyway, building relationships in the office is important, Emma. You should try it sometime.”
“Building relationships? Is that what we’re calling shameless flirting now?” you ask, voice filled with rage. “Good to know. Next time I don’t meet a deadline, I’ll just say I was networking over cocktails.”
“Listen, Emma—”
“No, you listen,” you say, finally tired after thirty minutes of arguing with your colleague. You place your bag on the coffee table, and almost lose your arguments when you find Nico’s puppy, almost scared eyes looking at you. “Jake, who’s a father of two adorable, sweet girls, had to stay at work way past his work hours, re-writing half of your article. Not to mention Melissa, who also had to stay late because your inspiration left her waiting for the graphics requests you didn’t submit.”
“Ain’t that awesome? That’s what I call a real team.”
“A real team?” You almost shout. Usually, as the editor-in-chief of one of the most important sports magazines in the US, you’d try to keep your cool and act professional. But you’ve been handling Richard’s bullshit for the past two months and now you’ve had enough. “I can’t do this anymore. I want you in my office on Monday so we can discuss your leaving.”
This time, Richard doesn’t have an immediate bratty remark for you.
“Was I clear?”
“M-Mrs Roberts, I—”
“My. Office. On Monday. At half past seven.”
“I’m sure we can figure this out and—”
You look at the clock sitting on Nico’s desk and smile, even though you know Richard can’t see. “Oh, would you look at that? It’s seven p.m. which means I’m not on my work hours anymore. So, we should probably just talk on Monday.” You use your best, fake happy voice. “Have a nice weekend, Richard.”
You don’t wait for his answer before hanging up on him and sighing loudly.
“Hi, baby,” you finally say, leaning down to give Nico a brief kiss. “I’m sorry for this.”
“I’m somewhere between proud and scared,” he smiles, getting up and wrapping his arms around your tired body, as you lean closer to his chest and rest your head on it. “Proud because you’re actually standing up for yourself, scared because I have never seen you talk like that.”
You shrug. “I mean, he did make Jake go home later than he’s supposed to, several times, and I’ve met his kids, I just… if it was just me, I wouldn’t be this upset but—”
“You don’t need to justify your actions, schatz. Not to me, not to anyone,” he smiles softly, and you just lean closer to his chest. He smells like home and violets. “And the guy is an asshole.”
You laugh, reluctantly pulling away from him.
“I guess you’re right,” you said. “I need a shower though. This ‘standing up for myself’ thing is tiring and nasty.”
“Better hurry, then,” Nico whispers against your mouth. “I ordered food from your favorite place.”
You moan loudly as you make your way to his bathroom. “Fuck, I’m going to have your kids.”
His laugh is loud enough for you to hear and you smile, closing the door behind you.
𖧷
YOU’RE ALMOST falling asleep on the couch when you feel it.
It’s light and sweet at first, barely noticeable. Nico had been resting his head on your belly, while you played with his hair and tried to keep up with the last episode of The Summer I Turned Pretty.
But you probably snoozed for a few seconds, and Nico saw that as the perfect opportunity for him to bury himself in the middle of your thighs.
“Baby,” you call him, and he hums back, barely paying attention to you. “What are you doing?”
“I miss you.” Was all he said, before going back to kissing your naked thighs.
You just chuckled, looking down at him, and feeling somewhat shy as he inhales your skin, probably smelling the hints of lavender your body wash left behind.
He keeps kissing you, taking his time. It’s barely anything, yet it has you throbbing under your panties, which makes you blush. It’s embarrassing how fast you melt under his touch.
He gets up, sitting on his heels, looking down at you with lustful eyes. “You’re stressed.”
“I am,” you smile.
“I want to eat you out.”
“You do?”
“I do, yeah,” he plays with the hem of your shirt, slowly moving his finger down, all the way to your black panties. “What do you think?”
“I think that’s the best idea you’ve had in a while,” you bite your lips, hiding your grin.
He doesn’t hide his, smiling widely as he quietly drags your underwear down, lifting your hips just enough to remove them from your body.
“You have such a pretty pussy, babe,” he muttered, spreading your legs, until your bare, smooth flesh mercies the open air. “I can never get enough.”
Before you can even start to feel shy about your nakedness, Nico dives in, licking a long stripe up your pussy, not paying attention to your most sensitive part, not just yet— it had you moaning anyway, though.
He attaches his warm mouth to your core, tongue messily gliding over your lips and entrance. His movements are precise and smooth, like he was born to do this.
The tip of his tongue finds your hole, dipping inside you slowly, then, he finally licks your clit, moving his wet muscle from side to side while you trash under his touch, holding onto the couch with both of your hands.
“You’re so wet, baby,” he says, voice hoarse and silvery. “Dripping, actually. And all of that for me.”
You’re about to answer when he dives into your core again, this time focusing on your clit only. He grabs both of your thighs and pulls you towards him, licking everywhere. The sound of him eating you out filling up the room, louder than the boring show you had on.
The room’s barely illuminated yet you can see him staring at you as he licks, eats and satisfies himself with your taste. He doesn’t even blink, trapped between your legs, sucking your most sensitive part.
“Ngh.”
He stops messing with your clit just to smirk and say: “C’mon, love. I know you can be louder than that.”
And then, he dives into you again, giving you all he can. And his all has you pulling his hair and moaning loudly, even with your left hand covering your mouth.
Your release builds fast, as it always does whenever Nico decides to do whatever he wants with you. The tension in your lower belly comes faster each time you both have sex, and even though you can’t explain why, you’re not bored by it, not at all.
“Nico, I’m gonna come,” you manage to say, rolling your eyes, only to close them afterwards. “F-Fuck.”
You’re rutting against his mouth, not caring that your sweet spot’s feeling overstimulated. It’s like a feral feeling, taking over your body and mind, and your only goal is to come.
You feel lucky, so fucking lucky, to have a man like him to make you see stars, and when you come inside his mouth, it’s without warning or coordination.
You’re seeing white and you’re gasping for breath as he continues to lick you, digging his short nails into your flesh so he can keep you in place— even though you can barely move, your limbs are too weak to do anything.
“N-Nico,” you whisper, gently pushing him away because you’re sure you’re about to disintegrate if he keeps going. And also because you know he’ll be there for hours with no end if you don’t push him away. “Shit.”
He smirks, and you’re sure he’ll never look this hot again. His hair is glued to his face, and his chin is shiny with your come, but so are his lips and the tip of his nose. But what really does it for you it’s the way his chocolate eyes are shining and looking at you like you’re everything.
You grab his shirt and pull him down, kissing his lips right away, tasting yourself on his tongue. It’s nasty and new, but you don’t care; you just want to feel him, be close to him.
“There’s no one else,” you tell him. “It’s just you, and it will always be just you.”
He smiles, his dimples stealing the spotlight because they make you want to live inside his cheek forever. “Hope that’s a promise, baby.”
“Oh, captain,” you hum. “It is.”
𖧷
YOU’RE SITTING on Nico’s lap when you see her.
She enters the bar with her chin up, holding her Gucci purse under her arms and softly clicking her fingers against the phone she’s holding.
She doesn’t immediately look your way, and even though you’re not sure if she knows you and your people— Mia, Ella, Luke, Jack and Nico— had chosen this specific bar to celebrate the Devils winning streak, you can’t help but feel aware of her presence.
Nico brings you back to the present moment, squeezing your waist lightly, just enough to make you look back at him.
“What does Em think of this?” you hear someone, Luke, maybe, ask, and you shrug, trying to hide the fact that you don’t know what they’re talking about.
“Keep my girlfriend out of your useless conversations, please.” Nico says, saving you once again. You give him a brief cheek kiss, taking care so you won’t smudge his cheek with your red lipstick.
“Please, you’re so pussy-whipped it’s sad to watch.” Jack says and Mia rolls her eyes at him.
“As he should.” she grins, winking at you.
“I only asked her if she thinks the last Fast & Furious movie is boring or not,” Luke argues. “I mean, Natalie almost killed me last time I mentioned it.”
“She hates those goddamn movies,” you laugh, remembering how angry she’d get whenever someone tried to make her believe that that whole franchise is good. “You should’ve known better.”
“I guess,” Luke pouts, toying with his beer bottle and Ella smiles at him. “I lowkey miss her, is that weird?”
“It’s not weird to miss your friends, Duke,” Mia fake punches him. “I miss her a lot, too. And Quinn.”
“We should visit them once the season’s over,” Ella suggests and you all agree, making plans for your next trip to Vancouver.
The conversation makes you forget about the fact that Nora is in the same place as you, and your insecurities are set aside so you can enjoy your evening with your friends.
You’re caught up with laughing and dancing with Mia and Luke when Nico reaches for you and tells you he’s going to the bathroom, and you just nod and give him a peck, before following Luke and doing the dumbest dance moves ever, making Mia laugh and curse at both of you.
You end up knocking over Luke’s bottle of glass all over you, and even though it’s hot inside the bar, you know you’ll have to dry your shirt before heading out again, otherwise it’s certain you’ll catch a cold.
“I’ll be right back, guys,” you tell Mia and Luke before looking around and trying to find the bathroom sign. Once you do, it’s a sixteen step walk until you’re standing in front of the door that leads to the bathroom hallway, only to find Nico standing there with—
Nora.
They don’t see you, and Nora’s the first to speak again. “It’s just that… you kind of just vanished after that night at my house, and you did unfollow me on Instagram. Did I do something wrong?”
“Well, Nora, you see: you did do something wrong. You kissed me even though you knew I had a girlfriend. That’s not really cool.”
You can tell by his tone that he’s upset, and the Angel sitting on your right shoulder is telling you that you should trust your boyfriend and leave the two of them alone but the Devil speaks louder and you stay right where you are.
“But…” she’s pouting and you feel the urge to punch her. “I didn’t know you and Emma were serious. If I had known, I’d—”
“You’d what?” he scoffs. “You’re still here, even after knowing that Em and I are serious, and have been for a long time now. You followed me all the way to the bathroom just to ask if I was upset with you for kissing me even though you knew I was dating.”
“Nico, you’re being too serious. Emma doesn’t need to know what we did—”
“She already does,” he crosses his arms in front of chest and leans against the bathroom door. “And even if she didn’t, I know, Nora. If you can sleep at night knowing you kissed a compromised person, that sounds like a you problem. I love my girlfriend and I’d really appreciate it if you didn’t bother me anymore.”
Nora’s silent for a few seconds before she remembers Nico’s probably expecting an answer.
“I’m not saying you don’t love her, I’m just saying that I understand if you can’t talk to me because of he—”
“It’s not that I can’t, Nora, I don’t want to,” he scoffs again. “Emma is my girlfriend for a fucking reason. I love her.”
Nora’s face is red, and her hands are shaking slightly. She nods before running out of the hallway like her ass’s on fire, only stopping when she almost runs into you.
You don't do anything besides winking at her, watching as her face becomes even redder and angrier. It’s funny how she stomps her way through the bar and leaves without a single word to anyone else.
When you look back to the hallway, you find Nico staring at you, a beautiful smile decorating his lips.
“Looks like you got yourself wet, baby.” He says, pointing to your shirt.
You smile, following him to the bathroom. “Hell yes I did. But it’s about to get worse.”

Dreamless sleep
I mentioned in a reblog a few days ago that I sometimes write little oneshots about Henry to comfort myself when shit situations happen. Well I left work today and my car wouldn't start and... I've been struggling with remembering something really difficult that happened to me and I needed a comfort fic. This is that.... I don't normally post them but I wanted to share this one.
Warnings: Mentions of SA possible trigger.
summary: waking up from a nightmare and having a rough day. Henry is always there to help.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I watched the door shake. The man on the other side determined to break in. If he got through, he was going to hurt me again. Not that he would ever admit it. My attacker had spent just moments before trying to convince me I had asked for it. Like what he did to me was nothing more than him fulfilling my desires. Bile rose in the back of my throat from the thought.
“Go away, Luke! I told you I won’t say anything to anyone! Just leave me alone!” But he didn’t stop. I watched the door knob turn as I looked around my childhood bedroom searching for something to barricade the door. Trying to find anything to keep him out. My strength would not hold much longer. One more shove and he would be inside. I wouldn’t be able to escape him. Just like the last time. As I’m reaching for a chair to press against the door, I stumble. I fall to the floor and the door swings open…
I woke with a start shooting straight up gasping for breath. My heart was racing and I let out a whimper as my eyes adjusted to the darkness. I flinched as I felt a gentle hand touch my hip.
“Darling it’s me, it’s okay.” Henry’s soothing voice broke through my panic. It was a dream. Only, a dream. I swallowed hard and looked out the window. It was storming, the sky was still gray, I looked over at the clock 6:25 my alarm was about to go off,
“Sorry, go back to sleep baby, it was just a bad dream. I’m okay.” I assured him. Henry sat up. He wrapped his arms around me from behind and placed a soft kiss on my head.
“You’re sure? He asked, “Do you want to talk about it?” I shook my head. I hadn’t told him about what happened to me. And as far as I was concerned he didn’t need to know. It was in the past. I was fine. It was rare that I had these dreams.
“No bear, It was silly, just go back to sleep, I need to get up and get ready,” I told him. He took in a deep breath. He still held me close for a moment before hesitantly letting go of my waist.
“Alright, love,” When I got out of bed I turned and kissed him softly. He looked so tired. He’d gotten back so late from set. I hate that I’d woken him up.
“I’ll see you later,” I smiled. He sat up giving me another kiss.
“Have a good day baby,” He said. I slipped out of my bedroom and took a quick shower. I quickly got dressed for the office and left. I picked up a coffee on the way to work. I splashed some on my shirt leaving a small stain. It wasn’t completely obvious but I knew it was there. This would happen today I hate Mondays. Things were in full swing, actually, busy. When I got there. I sat down and tried to focus on my work. But I couldn’t get anything done. All I could think about was that dream.
Lunch rolled around and I realized I’d left it at home. I didn’t want to bother Henry. He hadn’t had a day to himself in a while. So I was just going to pick something up. I ran to the little convenience store down the road and got a little snack. It was much but it would hold me over until the end of the day.
The rest of the day was so busy. So many emails and the work just kept piling up. It was non-stop. I was so ready to get back to my place and spend the evening with Henry. I walked out to my car and put the key in the ignition and… it didn’t start. I tried it again… nothing. How could this happen? It ran perfectly fine on lunch. God, I was just tired and hungry and I want to get home! I’ve spent the whole day reminded of this terrible thing I’d gone through, and now this? Today sucked! I sighed and pulled out my phone. I was going to have to call Henry. I tapped his name and the phone rang. After the second ring, he picked up.
“Hey, babe, you on you’re way back?” He asked. I sighed again.
“No,” I said flatly. “My car won’t start I don’t know what’s wrong, the engine won’t even try to turn over.” I rambled. I could hear myself starting to hyperventilate.
“Slow down, breathe. I’ll be right there.” He promised. In 10 minutes he was pulling up next to my car. We tried to jump it but that did nothing. I sighed and slammed the door. “Whoa, hey, it’s gonna be alright we’ll get it fixed, love,” Henry said grabbing my shoulders gently and making me face him. I felt my lip start to wobble. I didn’t want him to see me cry. In all honesty, we hadn’t been together that long. He hadn’t seen me break down and I wasn’t ready for him to. What if I was too much? What if he didn’t want me anymore?
“I-i’m sorry, today has just been… stressful. I was looking forward to getting home and spending time with you.” I said.
“And you’re going to, we’ll leave the car here I’ll have it looked at in the morning. Let's get back and relax my love.” Henry drove us home. I shuffled inside, quickly changing into comfy clothes. After spending a while trying to fix the car it had gotten a bit late so we decided to order in. Henry ordered dinner while I got cozy on the couch. We ate our Chinese takeout and binged a new Netflix series. My mind wandered not fully paying attention. Getting lost in the dream from this morning. I was staring blankly at a spot on the wall, I didn’t hear Henry say my name. He shook my shoulder and I yelped. His brow raised and his eyes filled with concern, and something that almost looked like hurt.
“What’s going on with you today love?” He asked. I snapped.
“What do you mean? Nothings going on everythings fine!” I said. He sat back looking at me from a sideways glance.
“You’ve been on edge all day,” He stated.
“You haven’t even been with me all day,” I rolled my eyes.
“Is something bothering you?” He asked. I groaned.
“Fucking hell, would you just drop it Henry? I told you, I’m fine!” I shouted. Henry ran a hand through his hair and groaned in frustration.
“I’m just trying to help,” He sighed.
“Yeah, well I didn’t ask, I’m not some helpless damsel you need to save!” I argued.
“I never said that!” he groaned. “But you’ve been stressed since you woke up this Morning.” He stated.
“So?” I deflected, clearly agitated.
So… who’s Luke?” He asked his voice calm. My stomach dropped. How did he know that name?
“I don’t know what your talking about…” I said shifting my eyes to the floor.
“Alayna, when you were having your nightmare, you… said his name, asking him to stop. Who is he?” He asked again. I swallowed hard. I kept my eyes on the floor hidingn the tears that had started to well up.
“No one, must’ve just been a name my brain came up with.” I lied.
“Come on,” he pleaded. “I know you don’t think I’m that stupid.” He said. I looked up at him, eyes meeting his. He was hurt. Hurt that I was shutting him out.
“I don’t think you’re stupid at all, I just… don’t want you to think I … to think less of me.” I sniffled. Henry brushed my hair out of my face and brushed his thumb across my cheek.
“Talk to me, I want to understand.” He said. “Whatever is, I just want to help you,” he stated. I nodded.
“He… is…was a friend of my brothers.” I started. “They were friends since they were kids, I new him since I was a baby.” I explained. Henry nodded. Keeping his hand on my back silently supporting me. I went on. “I thought I could trust him. I was so naive. He always seemed like a good guy. He came to town to celebrate my brothers birthday. And they came back drunk. He woke me up. Because he wanted to say hi. I got up to talk with them and when we went back to bed he… got into my bed. I thought he was joking at first. I thought he was gonna leave.” I looked at Henry. His face was calm, but I knew that he knew what I was going to say. I didn’t miss the anger in his eyes. But he stayed quiet. Letting me get it all out. “He was like a brother to me. I-I don’t know how he could touch me like that. But… I couldn’t do anything. It was wrong, it was so wrong but I was like frozen with fear or shock I don’t know. I know that I told him no. Once. something he wanted to do … I finally was able to find my voice but. It didn’t matter. The next morning he acted like nothing happened. I never said anything. I never pressed charges…nothing. It was years ago. In my dream I confronted him. He told me I couldn’t prove it. He wouldn’t own up to it. I yelled at him. And he tried to convince me I wanted it.. And he…he tried to come after me again.” I cried. Henry quickly wrapped me up in his arms pulling me into him. “That’s when I woke up.” I said. I cried against Henry’s shoulder while he held me. He gently cooed in my ear as if consoling a baby. But it helped. It was the comfort I needed. The shoulder to cry on I never really had. He was quiet for a while. Letting me have this moment and then.
“You know, none of that, is your fault.” He said. His voice soft.
“But I.. let him.” I said. His jaw ticked. Trying to remain calm for me.
“No, he may not have been violent or mean or angry. But he still forced you. He was bigger than you. You had no choice. But to let him do what he wanted. I can’t imagine the pain you’ve felt carrying this for so long. But I won’t let you do it alone anymore.” He said.
“You don’t have to,” I sniffed.
“The bastard is lucky he’s still breathing. He may not live anywhere near you but if he ever comes within a mile of you he’s a dead man.” He growled.
“I’m sorry, about…” I started staring at the ground.
“Look at me,” He cupped my face pulling my eyes back to his. “ I don’t care about some little argument. Or a stressful evening. I care about your wellbeing, your safety, and your peace of mind. There may not be much we can do about what happened. But I can help you feel safer, I can help you feel protected. That’s what matters. Let me care for you. Don’t be too proud to let me help you.” he pleaded. I nodded. I was exhausted. Today had been so hard. I didn’t have the energy to be guarded anymore.
“Okay,” I said.
“You need rest love, you look exhausted.” He said softly. I nodded laying my head against his shoulder. Henry carried me to bed and I immediately curled myself around him. He smiled softly.
“As long as I breathe. He will never, get to you,” He said softly. I nodded my breathing slowly as I listened to his heart beat. Henry softly stroked my hair and I felt my eyes lids get heavy.
“Get some sleep darling, I’ll be right here,” he promised. My eyes closed and everything faded to black. And for the first time in a long time. I had a dreamless sleep. I was safe. Now. Truly safe. I didn’t have to fight this alone.
I Work Too Hard, Can You Fuckin' Pay Me?
Searching Your Eyes For Humility
Time flew as you buried yourself in work, working on project after project, taking on extra work to keep your mind busy even when you were at home, off the clock. The office was your refuge, a place where you could drown out the whispers of the past with the clacking of keyboards and the hum of the air conditioner. Many at work noticed how your focus had shifted like a light switch went off. You were withdrawn, only speaking when spoken to or when necessary, most greetings were a curt nod and a poor excuse for a smile.
Pietro had tried to get in touch, multiple times, in fact. You ignored his texts and calls, and even when he would try to come by your office you would find yourself in a 'meeting'. If he tried to come by your house, you would hide in your bedroom, pretending to be asleep or blasting music in your headphones while you worked out in the basement. You had made it your mission to avoid Wanda, Piet, and Natasha at all costs until you were confident your mind was in the right place.
It had been three and a half months since that night, that weekend when you wiped the hard drive that was your brain, drinking all the alcohol in your home. You had to call in the following Monday and Tuesday, you were too hungover and ill to function. But after that weekend, you shifted your routine, working out and leaving the house before you knew Wanda would be awake and outside her home in the morning, tending to her gardens. You would bury your nose in work, and keep yourself until well past dark, so when you got home there was no chance the woman or her brother were outside.
You were quickly getting into better shape than you had been when you attended Westview High, treated yourself to some ink therapy at a tattoo shop in town, and avoided any drama you could. Until now.
"Y/N!" a boisterous voice echoed from behind you as you were now running on a school track on a brisk Saturday morning. "Y/N! Jesus!"
You kept up your pace, Pietro could maintain your pace if he needed to talk to you.
But the footsteps grew closer, and suddenly, you felt a hand on your shoulder, spinning you around. "Pietro, what the hell?" you snapped, trying to keep your breathing steady.
Pietro was out of breath, his eyes filled with a mix of concern and frustration. "We need to talk, man," he panted. "It's been months. We can't just ignore each other forever."
You glared at him, the muscles in your jaw tightening. "What do you want to talk about?" you snapped, your heart racing from both the run and the confrontation.
His gaze shifted, a disappointed expression dancing across his face. "Y/N, you know what."
"No, Piet, I don't." you crossed your arms over your chest, your breathing somewhat regular as you both stood in the middle of the straightaway.
"Y/N, when I said to distance yourself from the Natasha situation, I didn't mean for you to go AWOL. I still need my best friend." The sincerity in his voice made your heartache. You had missed him too, but the fear of falling back into the toxic cycle kept you at bay.
"I know, Piet, but it's just... complicated." You shoved your hands in your pockets, avoiding his gaze.
"I know, Y/N."
"It scared me, honestly," you admitted quietly.
Pietro's eyes searched yours, looking for the truth behind your words. "Scared you? What do you mean?"
"After how that night unraveled, I just saw Westview 2.0, starring me. This is what I came here to avoid, to grow from. I couldn't let myself fall back into that toxicity, Piet." You took a deep breath, the words finally spilling like a dam breaking. "I drank myself into a stupor all weekend to get rid of all my booze, and I've been sober since. Working out, working, and building new habits. I have to. I can't let myself become that person again, Piet." you whispered the last part, hoping he didn't catch it.
"I understand that, Y/N. But you aren't the same person. The same person in Westview would have never had the balls to leave. They would have gone through town, causing drama and ripping through households with no abandon. You DID do that."
Pietro's words hit you like a ton of bricks, and you felt your anger dissipate slightly. He was right, you had changed. But the fear remained, a nagging voice in the back of your mind whispering that it could happen again. "You need people around you who encourage the more healthy behavior, Y/N. Not the toxic shit." He spoke with a firmness that made you realize he wasn't just talking about Natasha.
"What do you mean, Piet?" you asked, fidgeting with the sleeve of your jacket.
"The people at work, people around town you were making a connection with. You need to have healthy relationships. Hell, you had been talking to Wanda almost daily and just...stopped." He leaned in closer, his eyes searching yours. "I know you think you're protecting yourself, or me, or whatever, but you're just cutting yourself off from everyone who cares about you. That's not healthy."
You swallowed hard, his words resonating deep within you. "I don't know how to do this, Piet. I don't know how to be the person I want to be without getting sucked back into that world."
"You just have to take it one step at a time," he said gently. "We all make mistakes, but it's about learning from them and growing."
You nodded, feeling the weight of his words. "I know, it's just..." You trailed off, unsure of what to say next.
"Difficult. Trying. I get it. But that's part of why I moved from Westview. It was toxic as hell, and I slowly found myself the longer I was away from it. But you need people with you to do it. I need you. Wanda, while she may not admit it, and I don't like it, needs you. You need us."
Pietro's words hung in the air, and you felt the weight of his gaze on you, his hand still on your shoulder. You sighed heavily, looking up at him with a sad smile. "You're right," you conceded. "I've been hiding. I've been avoiding everyone, including myself."
He nodded, his hand moving to give your shoulder a comforting squeeze. "But you don't have to face it alone," he said, his voice gentle but firm. "We're here for you, Y/N. Wanda and I, we're a team. We've got your back, no matter what." A smile crept across your face, and finally, a small smile graced Pietros as well. "Now, can I have my bud back, can we go eat breakfast or something? I'm fucking starving doing this 'big brother' talk bullshit."
You chuckled, the tension in the air dissipating. "Alright, alright," you said, bumping his fist with yours. "Let's go."
As you walked off the track together, the cool morning air nipping at your skin, you felt a sense of relief wash over you. It had been so long since you had allowed yourself to let someone in, to accept help. The silence between you and Pietro was no longer heavy with unspoken words and accusations, but rather filled with a quiet understanding that had been missing for months.
"How'd you get here, Y/N? I don't see your car," he asked, looking around the school parking lot as you approached his silver Jaguar F-Type. You laughed at him, as he whipped his head around to look at you. "No, Y/N. Tell me you didn't run here. Tell me you didn't fucking run here."
"Alright, fine. I won't say."
Pietro rolled his eyes, a smirk playing on his lips as he unlocked the car. "Jesus, Y/N. You're insane. When was the last time you ran that far, outside of the soccer field in high school?"
You shrugged, feeling a bit embarrassed. "I had to do something to keep my sanity." His gaze softened as you both slid into his car.
"True. Otherwise, you'd be certifiable right now." He winked before starting the car and pulling away from the school parking lot, back towards town.
You both ended up at a quaint little diner that had become a staple within city limits, a place where you could sit for hours, sipping coffee and hashing out the world's problems. The bell over the door jingled as you entered, the scent of pancakes and coffee wafting through the air. The walls were adorned with vintage posters and photographs, the chrome of the bar stools glinting in the early morning light. As you looked around, you noticed a familiar woman in a corner booth at the other end of the restaurant. Her attention was drawn to the bell over the door rang through the atmosphere.
Pietro pushed you towards the booth that Wanda was seated in, her smile growing wider as her brother clamped his hands on your shoulders.
"Look who I finally fucking found!" he directed at her, his voice raising a few octaves in his excitement. You both approached the booth, but Wandas gaze never left you. She eyed you up in down, likely noticing the more trim version of yourself that had been carved over the last few months.
"About damn time," she responded. "I thought you were dead, and I would have to get to know another neighbor all over again."
"Thanks, Wanda," you mumbled, sliding into the booth across from her.
Wanda's gaze remained on you, a mix of curiosity and relief. "What's been going on, Y/N?" she asked, her voice softer than you had ever heard it. "You look good," she began, her cheeks tinting a slight pink shade as Pietro slid into the booth next to you. "Er, uh, happy. I mean." she laughed, looking down at the menu in embarrassment.
"Looks like little Y/N has gotten back into working out. She hasn't looked this good since high school," he joked.
Wanda playfully rolled her eyes, "I swear to God, you're like a puppy that just learned a new trick."
You couldn't help but laugh, the tension between you three slowly fading. The waitress, a bubbly brunette named Laura, came by to take your orders. You settled on a protein pancake platter with a side of eggs and turkey sausage, while the siblings both went for the classic breakfast of champions: waffles with a mountain of whipped cream and syrup. Laura scribbled down your choices before flitting away to the kitchen, her smile lingering on you.
Pietro leaned over to you, holding his hand up to shield his mouth from Wanda. "She likes youuuuuuuu!" He whispered extremely loud, all but defeating the purpose of whispering and covering his mouth.
Wanda slapped his arm, "Dickhead, you don't have to whisper-shout it to the whole diner!" She said with a smirk, disguising the slight disappointment she had in the attention you were receiving.
"What?" He feigned innocence, grinning at his sister.
You couldn't help but chuckle, the sibling banter a welcome distraction from the heavy conversation you had just had. It was like stepping into a warm blanket of familiarity. The sound of plates clattering and coffee brewing in the kitchen melded with the low murmur of the other patrons, creating a comforting ambiance. Wanda's eyes sparkled with mischief as she took a sip of her coffee, the steam rising to kiss her nose.
"So, Y/N," she began, setting her cup down with a gentle clink. "How's life been treating you these past few months?" Her tone was cautious as if she was tiptoeing around a minefield.
You took a deep breath, "It's been a... journey," you said, trying to keep your voice light. "Learned a lot about myself, made some changes."
Pietro nodded, his hand reaching over to give yours a quick squeeze. "That's what we do, right?" He said, his smile genuine. "We're the masters of reinvention."
The waitress brought over a pot of coffee and topped off all three of your mugs before retreating to the next table. Wanda's gaze held yours for a moment, her expression a mix of understanding and hope. "I'm proud of you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
The words hit you like a warm embrace, filling a space in your heart that had been cold and empty for so long. "Thanks, Wanda," you murmured, your eyes misting over.
Pietro cleared his throat, trying to break the tension. "So, what's the plan today?" He asked, flipping open the menu. "Besides eating our weight in breakfast foods."
You glanced over at Wanda, who was still watching you intently. "I don't know," you said, forcing a smile. "Thought I might go to the library and grab a few books, then hit the gym."
Wanda leaned back in her seat, her eyes never leaving yours. "Why don't we make it a group activity?" She suggested. "Pietro can go with you to the gym, and I'll tag along to the library. Maybe we can grab lunch after?"
Surprise flickered across your face. "Really?" You hadn't expected the invitation, but a part of you felt a spark of excitement at the prospect of spending the day with them.
"Yeah, really," she said, her smile genuine. "We've all been so busy with our own shit, it'd be nice to just...hang out."
The three of you spent the morning at the library, you searching for self-help books while Wanda picked out some gardening guides and Pietro perused the biography section. The silence between you wasn't awkward anymore but rather filled with a gentle ease that had been lost over the past few months. You felt your walls slowly crumbling down as Wanda shared her latest gardening successes and failures, and Pietro regaled you with tales from his recent business trip.
After the library, you headed to the gym together. Wanda decided to join you after all, saying she needed to get her own endorphins going. You couldn't help but notice her lingering stare as she watched you work out on the treadmill. She had never seen you like this, focused and determined. You felt a little self-conscious at first, but her presence was comforting.
You shifted between machines, Pietro spotting you when needed, and vice versa. Wanda's piercing gaze only ever left you when you caught her staring. When you had arrived at the gym, you went into the locker room where you kept a locker with other clothes to work out in if you didn't feel like using the equipment you had at home. When you emerged from the locker room, Wanda's eyes went wide as you made your appearance in an extremely revealing cut-off tee shirt and tight-fitting shorts.
You blushed under her scrutiny, but she didn't say anything. Instead, she put in her earbuds and started doing yoga in the corner. The gym was a bustling hub of activity, the sound of weights clanging and the grunts of exertion echoing off the walls. The air was thick with the scent of sweat and the faint smell of antiseptic cleaner. You found comfort in the routine, the burn in your muscles a familiar and almost comforting feeling.
Pietro was in his element, effortlessly bench-pressing weights that made you feel like a featherweight by comparison. His skin glistened with sweat, his muscles flexing with each push. Luckily, you were no slouch when it came to athletics and working out, and you quickly worked yourself up to your personal records. When you asked him to help you break your records, he began cheering you on as you pushed your limits.
This caught Wanda's attention, as she came over and watched. Her gaze wasn’t the same as it was before. It was almost dark like there was a deep-seated desire lingering just below the surface. She was watching your muscles flex, the sweat drip, and admiring how effortless you looked breaching your limits. You couldn't help but feel a little self-conscious under her gaze, but you also felt a strange sense of attraction growing.
The rest of the workout passed in a blur of reps and encouraging words from both of them. When you finished, you were drenched in sweat but felt more alive than you had in months. The three of you headed to the showers, Pietro splitting off to the men's lockers as you and Wanda went into the women's lockers. Sending Wanda a shy smile, you walked to your locker, shedding the sweaty tee shirt and tossing it into a backpack for you to carry home to clean.
"Y/N?" a quiet voice came from the next row of lockers.
"Yeah, Wands?"
"I need help," she let out a nervous laugh. "I'm stuck."
You turned to see Wanda struggling with her sports bra, the material clinging to her skin. The sight was surprisingly... distracting. Her supple breasts were on display as you neared her, noticing how toned she was up close. Your mouth went dry, and you willed your little friend to not 'wake up' and the unholy thoughts running through your mind. "Oh, sure," you said, trying to keep your voice even. You approached her, reaching for the clasp.
As your fingers touched her skin, she tensed up, but you moved quickly and deftly, having had enough practice with your own as well as others' workout gear. "There," you said, stepping back and handing her the bra, looking away from her so you wouldn't make her uncomfortable. The old you would be pressing her against a locker, teasing her and making her break the barrier down. But you didn't want to do that to her.
Wanda took the bra with a murmured 'thanks', her cheeks flushed. You couldn't help but feel a pang of regret for the lost opportunities, for the friendship you had pushed aside in your quest for self-preservation. "You know, Y/N," she began, her voice tentative. "I've missed you."
You turned to face her, "I've missed you too, Wands." Your voice was sincere, filled with the weight of the past months. "I'm sorry for being such a shit friend."
"It's okay," she said, her eyes meeting yours. "I understand. I just... worry about you. I was worried is all."
You nodded, swiping a towel over your forehead. "I know. And I appreciate it. I just needed some time to figure things out."
Wanda stepped closer, her eyes searching yours. "Well, you're back now," she said, a hint of something unspoken in her voice.
You felt a spark of something, a connection that had been buried under layers of fear and doubt. "Yeah," you whispered. "I am."
The rest of the day passed in a blur of laughter and good food. Wanda had invited you to her place for lunch, her garden was lush and green, a testament to her dedication and love for the earth. You had helped her pick out some herbs and vegetables for a salad, the coolness of the leaves contrasting with the heat of the day.
Pietro had regaled you both with tales of his misadventures in the nightlife world, his charm and humor a balm to your soul. Wanda had listened with rapt attention, her eyes lighting up with every punchline. As the sun began to set, casting long shadows across the garden, Pietro had long since gone home, leaving you and Wanda alone. Wanda was sipping from a glass of wine, while you were drinking a glass of iced tea.
You sat on the porch swing, the chains squeaking gently as it rocked back and forth. Wanda was beside you, her hand resting lightly on your knee. "You know, Y/N," she began, her voice low and gentle. "You don't have to be so tough all the time."
You looked at her, the question in your eyes. "What do you mean?"
"I mean," she said, her hand moving up your thigh as she turned to face you. You gulped at the proximity, catching the scent of wine coming from her breath. "You put all of this unnecessary weight on your shoulders. It's like you're putting up a front to make it seem like you have it all together. But no one has thier shit together. And if they say they do, they're lying."
Her words hit home, and you felt a lump form in your throat. "You think I'm...faking it?"
Wanda's eyes searched yours, her thumb tracing circles on your skin. "No, I think you're scared. Scared of letting anyone in, scared of getting hurt again."
You nodded, looking away from her gaze. "I just don't know how to do it differently," you admitted.
Wanda leaned in closer, her hand moving to cup your cheek. "Let me help you," she whispered. "Let me be there for you."
You looked into her eyes, feeling the warmth of her hand and the gentle pressure of her thumb. "I'm trying," you murmured.
Her gaze was intense, and you felt a sudden heat pool in your stomach. "Then maybe it's time to stop trying so hard," she said, leaning in to kiss you.
Soo, (reffing to fluffer ff) how do you think the boys would react if they couldn't request you because you're working with somebody else or if they see you working with someone else?
ooooh shitttttt 🫢 alright, let's explore that shall we?
a/n: uhhh….i’m so sorry that this took so long omg 😭 i love you nonnie, i just forgor~ i'm making a second part to this where they find out reader was an amateur porn star before she became a fluffer :3 it's mostly all smut ngl, so anyway...
cw: explicit smut w/ jake only.. sry marc/steven hoes (18+), jealous!marc [angst, fluff], soft!steven [fluff[, out-of-pocket!jake [straight smut], inaccurate depiction of sex work, dirty talk, not proof-read!!
w/c: 1.7k [my baddd]
Fluffing for Others:
Being a fluffer was your job before you met the boys and you continued to do it after. The thing is, after you met the boys, you were so busy working with them that your already limited work schedule had no space for other clients.
But occasionally, one of your earlier clients will request you months in advance for a big project, and you have no reason to decline them (that is, until the boys convince you to stop working).
Marc [slight angst, fluff]:
"Sorry baby, I can't make it Tuesday, I have another client--"
Marc was just telling you about his next production that's set to film in the next few days.
Of course, he springs the gig on you just as it's about to happen.
He always does this, assuming you'd be free, and happy to join him. He never gives you more than a week to prepare, and usually you're fine with it. But this time, you're busy.
"Wait, another client?" You nod, but he's still not getting it, like he can't believe his ears. "Like a different client? Like an 'outside of this body' client?" You sigh.
Of course, he's reacting like this.
"Yes Marc, an old friend called and booked me for the week. I put it on the joint calendar, didn't you see it?" His eyebrows furrow as he takes in your words. "He's doing a movie length exclusive, so he called way in advance."
"But...but what about me?" He pouts -- literally pouts -- as he walks closer to you, backing you against the kitchen counter.
You raise a brow, "What about you?"
"What am I gonna do?" His hands hold you by the waist, pulling you close while he nuzzles his nose against your neck. He does this when he's trying to comfort himself -- buries his face against your body and holds you close.
He's so dramatic.
"Don't be so whiney, Marc. A girl's gotta work too." He hmphs in discontent as he hoists you onto the edge of the counter. You loop your arms around his neck easily and make him look at you. His soft brown eyes shyly meet yours, "I don't complain when you fuck your co-workers."
"That's--"
You send him a warning look, "I swear to god if you say it's different..."
"No, you're right, honey..." He's sheepish when he looks at you, realizing how his jealousy got the best of him once again. "I just...want you all to myself sometimes." You peck him on the cheek, then his jaw, then his neck, suppressing a smile as he leans into you with a sigh. He's so easy.
"I'm yours, baby." His hands squeeze at your waist at those words. He loves hearing you say that. Loves that you're here in his kitchen, always ready to receive his needy affection.
"So... are you free next week?"
You snort.
"Marc, you can't keep moving your productions for me. You could always find another back-up fluffer..."
"Not doing it without you." He mumbles, lips brushing against yours.
You lean into him and your noses nudge against each other. You're not quite kissing him, but when you're looking into his eyes like this, it feels just as intimate.
"Yeah, I'm free."
He grins, "Good. It's a date." He captures your lips in his and you wrap your legs around his hips to pull him closer.
---
Steven [fluff!]:
Telling Steven was pretty easy. He knew about it before you even told him, seeing it on the 'family calendar' that you forced each boy to join.
"You need a ride to production Monday? I could call you an early cab as we don't have a car and all. Don't want you to have to catch the bus."
Steven is lying next to you, having woken up in the body this morning. He's always been more of a morning person compared to the other boys, despite looking perpetually tired.
"Aw, thanks honey, but I'm fine. Their sending a company car since it's such a long filming schedule." You snuggle up closer to him, craving his warmth from the morning coolness that blows through the flat. He lets you settle against him, wrapping an arm around your torso.
"A company car? ...fancy."
"Anything is fancier than our usual walk and transit ride." You giggle against the thin fabric of his shirt, slightly muffling your words with how closely you cling to him.
Steven is dressed in Marc's pajamas: a tight undershirt and briefs, clothes you rarely get to see Steven in when he's fronting. Usually, he prefers looser clothing made of soft and comfy materials.
You can't complain though. Seeing Steven (unintentionally) show off his built body while acting all cozy and sweet makes you heat with want.
"You don't mind I'm working for other clients again?"
He tilts his head as if he's just now considering it.
"No, why would I? It's your job, just like how I have mine."
You pause, surprised by how cool he is with it.
"Oh...yeah."
“I actually thought you'd be doing this more often..." You look up at him, meeting his soft and sleepy gaze, "I mean, I thought everyone would be requesting you." He whispers, unsure if you'd appreciate his comments.
You hum, "I only had one company that hired me as a general assistant and only three regulars." You smile at him, remembering the first time you met him, "But then I met you guys, and you took over my whole life."
"...Then we met you, and now you're our life." Your heartbeat picks up at his words. It feels like something is squeezing at your chest in the most pleasant way possible.
Steven never realizes how poet and sweet he can be. You truly believe he just says whatever is on his mind.
"But you still work, and I still need to work..."
"You’re so beautiful, sweetheart, anyone would be lucky to be in your presence, let alone touched by you.”
You bite your bottom lip, hard.
How can he say such wonderful things? Make you feel so tender and loved that you could fall apart under his gentle gaze?
Intense emotions tighten in the back of your throat and all you can do is hold him closer, clutch him until he can feel what you're unable to voice.
"I love you, Steven. You know that right?" It's barely rasped out, but he hears it.
"Of course, darling." He pecks the top of your head, "You know I love you more, though."
A smile pulls at your lips, "Impossible. I love you so much you can't even comprehend it."
He chuckles before offering his rebuttal, "Well actually..."
---
Jake (NSFW 18+):
Jake took it as well as you thought he would...
His hand squeezes lightly at the sides of your throat, testing the waters as he continues to rapidly thrust into you. You wince as his fingers dig into the fresh bruises that he suckled into your skin earlier.
“Bet they wish they could fuck you like this...feel you quiver around their cock," You groan as he angles his cock to drag against the walls of your cunt, expertly nudging against that explosive spot inside of you. "But they can’t, because your mine, right honey?”
You nod wordlessly, barely able to comprehend what he said.
He buries himself deep inside of you with a huff and holds himself there until you're squirming under him. "Right?" He grits out, frustrated with your lack of response.
Your body shakes as his cock continues to press flush against the back of your cunt, sending sparks of overwhelming pleasure all over. You feel so full, completely stretched, and filled to the brim; you can barely move without crying out.
"Yes, yes, please, Jake, I'm yours--"
He pulls out briefly before swiftly pushing back in and it feels like you had the wind knock out of you. "That's right, baby, take it. Show 'em who you belong to."
You shutter out breathes as he works himself into your body, holding you down so you can't move a muscle without him knowing. Sloppy sounds remind you just how needy you are for him, how much you love it when he treats you like this.
Jake lets you go and work for clients, but he'll be damned if you go without his mark on you. Without a physical reminder that you're his.
It's not that he doesn't trust you, he just doesn't trust them.
You're the perfect woman, someone he couldn't resist when he was just a client to you. So how can he be sure your other clients won't try to woo you like he did?
"Fuck, honey," He growls, grinding his hips against yours, wanting to be as close to you as possible so he can cum deep inside of you. "You're so good to me, letting me do this when you gotta be on set in an hour..."
Your head is tilted back, and eyes are closed tight as you desperately try to hold back your orgasm, waiting for him. You whine as he rubs your clit, legs trembling around him.
"Please, Jake, cum for me...c-cum inside..."
"You gonna keep it all in for me, baby? Keep me stuffed inside of you as you jerk some loser off?" You cry, clenching around him as he coos at you, unable to hold back anymore.
"Mm... that’s right, honey, let go. Go ahead, soak me." He grunts when he feels you flutter around him and pushes in deeper, enjoying how tight you get when he talks dirty to you.
You writhe pathetically under him as you ride out your high, whimpering as he sharply fucks a few last thrusts into you before painting your walls with warmth. He fills you so much it starts to drip out of you as he pulls out.
His fingers push it back in before anymore could escape and ruin the couch under you. He hums thoughtfully as he fingers you, making sure you're all filled up for the day.
"Looks like you're ready for work." His eyes drift over your lust bitten lips, the marks covering your neck, and the mess at the center. He smirks, proud of his work.
"Thanks, baby." You smile sweetly.
You really do have the best boyfriends in the world...
WRAPPED IN WINTER EMBERS
I found myself sitting in awe before the giant Christmas tree that had been set up in the expansive living room of our recently acquired home. We had moved in a mere ten months ago, and I had been looking forward to Christmas so that I could put a giant pine tree in the corner and decorate it from top to bottom. It had been a recurring dream of mine since childhood.
The tree had been brought in that morning, but Noah and I hadn’t started decorating until afternoon. I’d been running some errands in the morning while Noah took care of the delivery, and I nearly screamed when I entered the house and saw the tree in the space in the corner that we had left specially for it.
As the kitchen was cleared from our lunch and the house assumed a soothing sense of order, Noah and I set up to spend that afternoon and evening adorning the tree and extending the holidays spirit throughout the house.
We put some cute decorations in the entrance and had also placed small figurines and pots with artificial greenery and snow on the furniture around the house. Our main dining table and the coffee table in front of the television had also been adorned with delightful stuff that we had bought in a shopping Christmas trip we did to Target last week.
Now that we had a place of our own, it was the first time we put two red stockings on the fireplace with our names on them, and it was so lovely.
Nearly an hour into the tree decoration, we ran out of ornaments, and Noah decided to make a quick trip to a store in town to get some more. I told him it was not necessary. We could go together on Monday, but he insisted, given that tomorrow would be Sunday and the shops would be closed, and our tree would remain unfinished for another day and a half.
He pecked me on the lips as he zipped his winter jacket and left after grabbing the house and car keys from the small tray we kept in the entrance. I told him to drive safe, given that it was snowing outside. It wasn’t much but enough to cover the ground about two inches.
By the time Noah came back, not more than twenty minutes later, I was sat on the floor, busying myself rearranging the twinkling ornaments to sooth my OCD. I couldn’t shake the feeling that both sides of the tree were stuffed unevenly, and it was driving me nuts.
The content smile on my face fell as I looked towards the entrance, where he was struggling to remove his boots while his hands were fully occupied. I stood up, leaving a golden garland on the floor and quickly walked to him.
“What’s all this?” I asked, grabbing one of the boxes that he carried in his arms, clearing his vision, hitherto obscured by the cardboard monolith. “You should’ve called me. I would have gone outside to help you bring these in.”
“It’s freezing outside, baby. I didn’t want you to get cold. Besides, it wasn’t a problem.”
“You would’ve probably tripped on the carpet and fallen on top of these,” I said, smiling sheepishly at him after I set the box I carried next to the tree.
“Yeah, and that would have been so much fun for you, right?”
I moved my shoulders up and down, feigning an innocent expression.
“Yes, play good girl all you want, princess.” He set down the other box and removed his jacket, walking back to the house entrance to keep it in the main wardrobe. He came back, clad in his Bad Omens hoodie, sweatpants, and the winter socks that I had recently got him from a new shop that had opened in town. He took a seat on the carpet next to me. “How is it going?” He asked regarding my work during his absence. While waiting for my answer, he ripped the tape of one of the boxes and opened it, diving into its contents.
“Well, how does it look?” I moved back, leaning on his shoulder so that we could assess the tree together from a small distance.
He hummed in satisfaction and proceeded to empty the boxes. There was so much stuff in them that I thought we would have to buy another tree, after all. Maybe a small one that we could put outside on the porch. Not a bad idea.
“Oh, you got the glittery ones?” I asked as I held a box of eight perfect Christmas balls painted in vibrant glossy red and coated with a golden layer of glitter.
“I know you said to get the plain shiny ones,” he replied, finishing unpacking and setting the different plastic bags and cases containing all kinds of ornaments in one side. “But these ones looked so good.”
“There will be glitter everywhere for months. This thing is super static, but yeah, they look nice. Thanks.”
As we busied ourselves unpacking some of the things, I noticed a couple of garlands and a satin ribbon that look extremely similar to the velvety ones that Noah kept upstairs, in our bedroom. I looked up at him, wondering what had been on his mind when he entered the Christmas shop downtown, but he was distracted removing the plastic from some other random decorations.
We spent the next hour finishing the tree. Two weeks ago, I had bought a ladder on Amazon, thinking that it would be helpful for events like this, but truth was that I hadn’t really thought much before purchasing it, and it ended up being pretty useless, especially when Noah was around.
After hearing his complaints about the ladder for a solid five minutes, I gave up and I asked him to pick me up, much to his satisfaction. He willingly crouched down (with a grin on his face) to let me hop onto his shoulders, and as he straightened up, the world beneath me transformed. Everything certainly looked different from up here, and it was also a bit scary.
“Be still,” I told him. The only way I could grab onto him as I set the star on top of the tree was by tightening my thighs against his head.
“Ease that grip, tigress. I’m not going to let you fall,” he replied, holding onto my thighs with his hands.
When the final touch was complete, I clapped, full of joy. Noah, seizing the opportunity, thought it would be funny to start swaying right and left, threatening to dislodge me from his shoulders. I clutched at his hair, using it as an anchor and pulling whenever I thought I was going to fall down, and his laughter morphed into a sudden yelp of pain. I gave his shoulder a playful slap, scolding him, only to be met with another round of sways. I lost my balance, but he was prepared to catch me and wrapped his arms around me as I wrapped my limbs around his slender, towering frame. By the time I bit his neck, we were both laughing, filling the cozy space of our home with the sound.
He trailed a path of kisses and lovely nib bites down my neck and sternum, causing me to shiver. Sensing my slight chill, Noah proposed starting a fire and preparing hot chocolate.
I was clearing out the plastic and empty envelopes strewn across the floor when he queried if I wanted cream and marshmallows on my drink. I wasn’t very keen on the cream, but that day I fancied some marshmallows, and I replied with a delighted “yes, please” from the living room. Even though the kitchen seamlessly melded into the living room, I was out of Noah’s sight, positioned on the other side of the sofa. In the background Christmas music played from a speaker nestled in a corner of the kitchen counter.
The mug warmed up my hands when Noah offered to me. He kissed my hair and let me sit back down in front of the tree to wonder where we could put the rest of the new decorations. Noah took a seat in his favorite armchair, a cozy grey piece that we found in a second-hand furniture shop and that he had sent for repairing. He loved spending hours there when he was reading a book or whenever he was on a phone call that extended for too long. Whenever I was alone in the house or he was locked in his studio, I would steal his place and sit there myself, cozy up with a blanket and a good book and wait until he come back. He would feign shock at the fact that I was sitting on his favorite spot, he would pick me up and carry me to the sofa, where I would keep my hold on him to avoid him getting away. Many evenings that winter we had fallen asleep on the sofa, Noah on top of me, after a slow kissing session driven by our playful fight about the armchair. Some other times we would end up having delicious sex.
For a while, it was quiet in the house, the tranquil hush only interrupted by the occasional noise I made while playing around with the Christmas decorations. The air carried the warm essence of hot chocolate, infused with the comforting aroma of cinnamon and the warmth coming from the fireplace. As I took in how happy I was, I looked at Noah, who was responsible for making this dream of mine a reality. He was sat slouched in his armchair, scrolling down on his phone as he indulged in the warm drink. His legs were casually parted, and he looked so damn good in his black sweatpants. I knew from experience how good I fitted between those two legs. Memories from previous times sparked a sudden yearning, heat coiling up in the pit of my stomach.
In a matter of seconds, my attention shifted from the adorned tree and Christmas trinkets. I moved silently toward him, crawling my way between his legs until I was seated on my knees, on my heels, in front of him, right between his legs. I looked up and bat my eyelashes.
Noah moved the hand that was holding the mug aside and directed his gaze downward, meeting mine.
“Hi, there, pretty girl.”
I licked my lips and slid my hands from his knees to his thighs.
“What are you doing?” He asked. Oh, he knew very well. “You wanna suck me?”
“Yeah.”
There was a moment of hesitation in his actions, probably because he was taking in my proposition and was being consumed by the sudden excitement inside of him. He kept the mug and his iPhone on a small wooden table by the armchair.
“Go on, kitten.”
One of his hands moved to the back of my head and encouraged me forward. My hands found the waistband of his sweatpants. I pulled them down alongside his underwear as he lifted his hips for two seconds.
My throat went dry at the sight in front of me. He was already half hard. I hadn’t even touched him, and he was already eager at the idea of my mouth on him.
I leaned down, opening my mouth. I licked the head once. It was salty, earthy. All man. I lapped at him again, hearing him hissing in a breath, and delved right into it, filling my mouth with his thickening length. His hands found the back of my head, fisting my hair. He buckled up slowly, forcing me to take him all in, until I had him at the back of my throat. My mouth felt overfull as I worked him back up and down, his little whimpers and curses filling my ears.
I moved back once, his hand freeing my hair and his cock slipping from my lips. I licked them, looking intently at him. He smiled wide and bright, and brushed some strands of hair out of my face and onto the back of my ear.
“Keep going, baby.”
Taking a deep breath, I leaned in again, sliding his cock in against my tongue, setting a blistering pace. “That’s it. Fuck. Deeper? Yeah, just like that. Good girl.”
The taste of him suffused me. I held onto his thighs as he slid in and out of my mouth. One of his hands found support on my hair again, something that he loved doing. I knew he was almost there as I felt him tensing his grip on my hair and how his hips snapped forward and his head fell back on the recliner. He was losing it. I was enamored with the image of him in that state, even if I couldn’t engorge myself too much on it because I was busy with his cock in my mouth. If anything, knowing how powerless he was in that moment, how vulnerable he was for me, I sucked him deeper, tightening my mouth around his thick length, and playing with my tongue as I felt him pulsing inside and I heard his whimpers increase. A salty liquid coated my tongue and the back of my throat. I struggled to swallow, but I did it as I slowly slid him out of me.
He muttered a curse as his whole body released from the high. I stayed on my knees, licking my lips, and watching him with utter adoration. I would spend the whole day worshipping him like this if he’d let me.
“I don’t know what Christmas gift you’re planning to get me, but trust me,” he said, taking a pause to regain his breathing, “nothing will beat this up.”
“I’ll take note of it,” I joked.
After a moment, he kicked his sweatpants away from his feet, bent forward and helped me get up from the floor. He lifted me onto him and settled me on his bare lap.
“What a lucky motherfucker I am,” he whispered. With a hand on the back of my neck, he pushed my face down onto his and I drowned in the kiss.
We kissed for a while, oblivious to the snow falling outside and the cracking of the fire behind us. When I pulled away, Noah’s cheeks were flushed pink. I moved a few strands of hair out of his face, and he studied mine for a second or two before picking me up and standing up.
“Is your period over?”
I nodded.
“Choose: the kitchen isle or the carpet?”
The idea of both scenarios made me wet.
Wetter.
“Both?” I appealed.
“Someone’s cheeky today, huh?” He noted with hint of amusement.
He walked us to the kitchen isle.
“I’m feeling festive.”
“Sure you are,” he replied, holding a laugh.
He set me on the isle, and I let out a little scream at the cold surface. I was wearing grey leggings and the layer of fabric was very thin. I could feel the cold spreading through every inch of my body.
“Don’t worry, baby. I’m going to heat you up so badly you’re going to beg me to switch on the AC.”
He captured my mouth in his again. He pushed me back, forcing me to lay down on my back, my skin protected by the white top and the oversized sweater I was wearing. He ordered to lift my hips and he removed my socks, leggings and underwear, eyeing them and lifting a brow.
“Someone’s very aroused,” he said, eyeing the embarrassing stain covering my panties.
“Clearly,” I replied, pointing with my eyes at his growing erection.
“Bratty girl”, his voice got muffled by the fabric of his hoodie and shirt coming out.
I was going to say something but then two of his fingers slid down my curls and then to my folds, and the words got stuck in my throat.
“Fuck, Noah.”
“That’s what I’m gonna do: fuck you.” He slid a finger in. I closed my eyes, focusing on the sensation brought by the movement induced by his long finger, sliding in and out in a tortuous dance. “But I need to have a taste first. Isn’t it wonderful that this isle has the perfect size for me to get on my knees and dip my mouth between your legs?”
I didn’t have time to think or utter another word before his tongue was on me. I gasped and struggled for my next breath, but he didn’t care. He toyed with me, slipping another finger and fondling my walls, sticking to his promise of heating me up. I couldn’t feel the cold of the marble anymore. I could only feel his warmth breath on my skin, the texture of his tongue lapping at my clit. He was fucking talented, and I could only give in to his pleasure, which moved to another level when he moved back, stood up, and grabbed his cock in his hand to guide it towards my entrance.
“You look so pretty all wet and ready for me.”
“Please…”
His hand slid up my belly, making its way underneath the fabric of the sweater and the top until it reached one of my breasts. Holding onto it, he used his other hand to position his cock in my pussy. Then he pushed in. I grasped his tattooed forearms. He started thrusting, his face tense, his expression one of contained self-control. My nipple ached between his fingers, and my heels dig onto his backside as I urged him closer, deeper into me.
“Noah, I don’t think I’m going to be able to hold it for long,” I manage to mumble between cries.
“Well, I’m not ready to let you come yet.”
Not a moment had passed that he slid his arms underneath my body and picked me up again, securing me against his frame with his arms and hands. He walked us to the center of the living room, by the Christmas tree. He sat me on the floor and told me to sit up the two seconds it took him to remove the remaining pieces of clothing I had on. I laid back down. The cracking from the fireplace and the scent of the two mugs of hot chocolate still lingering in the air, adding an extra layer of warm to our sweaty bodies.
Confusion suddenly etched my features as I saw him taking my hot chocolate from the spot on the floor where I had left it. He took a sip, taking his time indulging in it.
“Lucky you,” he started saying, “the chocolate is still warm.”
He set it down next to my body, dipped his fingers in the chocolate and picked a marshmallow. A second after, he was playing with it around my nipple, leaving a trail of hot liquid chocolate around the peak of my breast. My breath was caught on my throat as I watched the lust in his eyes.
“I’m gonna eat you all up,” he promised before he put the marshmallow in his mouth and descended into my breasts.
He covered me in drops of warm liquid, watching my body shiver every time the chocolate touched my skin and smirking at the desperation showing and growing on my face. He repeated the same pattern for a few times, tracing drawings on my chest and stomach, chewing at the marshmallows and even putting one of them on my mouth, his tongue sliding too far down a couple of times and lapping at me once, twice. The last time he dipped his fingers in the mug, he led them to my mouth and asked me to lick them off, which earned me a sweet “good girl” from him.
He gave up the rest of the hot chocolate and focused on the task of sinking himself on me again, but he stopped for just a second, eyeing the point where our bodies where about to merge, then guiding his gaze to me.
“Do we have any condoms here?” He asked, looking around as if remembering where we had placed the last box we bought.
“No…” I answered. A thought raced my mind. It had been there before, but I had never really said it aloud. Until now. I swallowed and said in a low voice, “It’s okay.”
“It’s okay?” He repeated, eyebrows furrowed.
I started smiling and he knew me too well to discern what my expression meant.
“Do you mean I can…? I can do it inside?” His pupils expanded.
“Yes.”
“Are you sure?”
I nodded impatiently.
“This means… Pff,” he sat back on his heels, looking down as if suddenly lost in thought. He raked a hand through his hair. “Are you thinking about…?”
“Yeah…” I whispered. I sat up to run two fingers down the side of his face. I didn’t have to say it out loud to know that the same images were crossing his mind. The bottom of the tree filled with Christmas gifts and a few kids running around, chasing each other, filling the house with their sweet and loud laughs, and Noah and me looking at them from the sofa, where we were cuddled up in each other’s arms, drinking hot chocolate.
“Well, now I can’t definitely shake off the idea of having a little you driving me crazy around this house,” he suddenly stated.
“So…?”
“So,” his body covered mine, his eyes diving into mine. “I’ll ask one more time. Are you sure? You want me to fill you up?”
“Yes.”
“This is— You are gonna be the death of me. Wait a second.”
He ruffled through the stuff set on the floor, toppling one of the boxes containing the glittery balls. They scattered around in all direction, rolling beneath the tree and weaving through our legs. He moved them aside until he found the satin ribbon.
I knew it.
He requested for my hands, and I offered them to him, the inner side of my wrists gently meeting. With practiced precision, it took him less than a minute to tie them up in a very elaborate knot that showed off his skills in the art of Shibari. He had been interested in it for a long time, having read plenty of books. However, it wasn’t until one evening, filled with a hint of shyness, that he approached me and asked if he could try it on me. Surprisingly for the two of us, we both enjoyed it, leading to an ongoing exploration where he continued to refine his arts on my body.
Once tied, he let them rest over my belly for a second and admired me, flush filling up my cheeks.
“My perfect Christmas gift,” he said.
“I’m naked,” I replied, a bit self-conscious.
“That’s how I like my presents: unwrapped but tied. Now be good, yeah? Or else, Santa will not bring you any presents.”
“I have mine exactly where I want it…” I smirked and Noah mirrored my expression as he lowered his head to kiss me. It was soft, gentle, passionate. His lips molding to mine in a way that would drive me insane anytime. I would remember his taste and his scent for ages and ages.
With my arms positioned a top of my head, his mouth claimed mine again and his body filled mine, every inch of skin touching, gliding against each other as we started moving.
We fucked relentlessly, my screams increasing with every thrust, filling up our house. The sweat covering Noah’s body intensifying as waves of heat enveloped us not only from the fire burning mere meters away from us, but from the one growing and growing inside of our bodies.
When the moment came, I wanted to witness his expression with my own eyes. I was a prisoner underneath his body, but he was mine to admire and adore.
“Noah, look at me. Keep your eyes on me.”
But it was too much. His gaze bore into mine, but his features were tensing and a muscle in his jaw ticked until he couldn’t hold it any longer and he sank his head in my neck with a primal growl.
It was the first time he came inside of me, and I never heard him groaning the way he did that afternoon as he emptied himself inside of me. I was overcome by a new and strange sensation. A part of him was now inside of me and would stay with me forever. It was different than saying he occupied a place in my heart. This was totally, undoubtedly different. This was physical. Primal. And I loved it. I wanted to stay in that moment, in that warmth that spread inside of me, his pulse beating against my walls.
I moved my tied arms and put them over his head, around his neck, until my fingers could graze the sweaty hair at the back of his neck. He struggled to regain his breathing. The weight of his entire body laid on mine.
“You look so pretty when you’re coming,” I said softly.
Noah’s shy laugh against my neck, below my ear, made me giggle underneath him.
“You’re spoiling me, you know?” He said, nibbling at my jaw. Even though his face remained hidden, I could see in my mind the flush that covered his cheeks every time I complimented him.
“I want to make you happy.”
“You’re my happiness,” he replied. A kiss laid on the pulse of my neck.
“That’s sweet.”
He touched my cheek, and finally lifted his head from the crook of my neck. Tattooed knuckles tenderly grazing against my skin.
“I’m not lying.”
“I know.”
I kissed him. He kept me in his embrace for a while, taking a moment to check my face, move the hair out of it, and make sure I was okay.
He straightened up on his knees and pulled out softly, making us both feel the last trace of our union. He looked attentively at the point in which our bodies stopped being connected, and I heard him say “it’s all inside, fuck,” and a smile tugging at a corner of his lips before he got up. He told me to wait as he went to the bathroom to grab some wipes and clean us up a bit.
I heard him curse from the bathroom downstairs a few seconds later.
“Is something wrong?” I asked from the floor.
“My dick's got glitter in it!”
“I told you about the glittery balls!”
“You’re telling me!”
I cracked up at his reply. Then I heard him muttering: “How the fuck did it get here?”
I could picture him holding his dick with one hand, observing his length and his glittery balls and trying to remove the small particles with a tissue paper.
When he came back, he was holding a packet of wipes in one hand, his dick hanging lose between his legs, softening, but he still looked as much a man as he looked when he was pounding inside of me.
I loved him with all my soul, and I would never stop feeling lucky for getting to call him mine.
“What a cute little Christmas thing you are, aren’t you?” He said when he noticed that my thighs and belly were also shining with particles of glitter that had glued to my skin.
I was laying down by the Christmas tree, covered in glitter, all flushed and used.
“I’m still tied.”
I hadn’t bothered to move because I felt… euphoric. Nothing had changed. Yet, everything could have. I still felt Noah’s liquid drip inside of me and it was… strange yet welcome. And the thought that I could be pregnant in the next minutes, if not already, had me floating in a dream.
“And if I had my way, you would stay like that for hours while I eat you out and make you come over and over again,” he said, looking down at me from his full height.
Noah knelt beside me and untied me. His warm hands massaged my wrists briefly before he extracted a couple of wipes from a thick plastic envelope. As the damp cool cotton touched my skin, I startled.
“Cold?” he asked.
“Yeah.”
“Sorry,” he apologized, and maneuvered my body so that I was closer to the fireplace. The comforting warmth enveloped me, and I just stared at the flickering flames for a while, taking in the events of the evening, a sense of satisfaction and tranquility settling over me.
Suddenly, I felt Noah’s hand on my tummy. When I turned my head, he was lying face down on the carpet next to me, his head propped on one hand while his other was caressing the skin of my belly.
“I’ve never felt anything quite like it before,” he confessed in a hushed tone, gaze fixed on my body. We had always used condoms, and if not, he had always pushed out before he orgasmed. “That was incredible. Thanks.”
“Maybe this will be our Christmas gift,” I replied, placing my hand on top of his.
Noah studied our joined hands, his smile widening. There was a glint in his eyes that filled my heart with happiness.
Leaning down, he kissed me, whispering a slow and tender “I love you” against my lips. My response echoed his three words.
I brushed some strands of wild hair away from his face.
He peppered some kisses down my shoulder.
“Want to take a shower?”
“I think we actually need it,” I acknowledged. “Might help us remove that glitter.”
I looked down at him. Indeed, his dick had glitter in it. I just needed to tie a bow with that red ribbon and tadah! My Christmas gift!
“Don’t you even think about sharing this with the guys. They would never let me see the end of it.”
The topic clouded my other thoughts, and I found myself laughing as Noah helped me up. I couldn’t restrain myself as he pushed us towards the bathroom in the main suite upstairs, and by the time our naked feet hit the cold tiles in the shower, we were both cracking up.
My dad’s neighbor is a dilf
Chapter 4
Joel Miller x You
Summery: You had decided to spend your summer in Austin with your dad. You used to spend almost every summer there, but hadn't spent a summer there since you were a teenager. Which means you hadn't seen a certain Joel Miller in years..
Warnings: abusive ex is back. Verbal abuse and physical violence (not against reader)
You roll over in your bed with a groan and stretch your arms. Grabbing your phone you check the time 10:03. Early for you. You decide to hop in the shower before your dad can ask you to help pick up fallen branches in the yard from last nights storm. You let the scolding water hit your body and you draw in a deep breath. Tomorrow was Monday which meant your dad would be back to work and you wouldn't have anyone to talk to or hang out with until 5 o'clock. Rinsing the soap from your face you contemplated just what to do with tomorrow, in fact you were beginning to wonder how to make use of your summer in general. The last couple weeks of doing nothing had been a much needed reprieve from your busy life, but you were starting to get a little stir crazy. You turned off the water, still deep in thought when you heard your phone buzzing. You tiptoed over to your bedside table and saw Joel's name lighting up the screen. "Why is he calling me?" You pick up the phone ...
Hello Hey sweetheart didn't wake ya did I? No no I've been up...for a few minutes (Joel chuckled) Well hey listen, one of my coworkers was looking for a sitter for tonight. He and the Misses are going out and their regular girl can't make it. Any interest in an easy job for the night? Oh yeah I can definitely do that. God know I've got nothing else going on. Okay I'll send you the info! Thanks darlin'
Obviously he wasn't calling just because he wanted to chat with you. It was a stupid thing to even hope for. The rest of the day went by relatively slowly, but when 6 o'clock rolled around you put some snacks in your back pack, a phone charger, and a book you had been trying to finish for several weeks now. The babysitting was easy. It was one kid, she was four years old and for the most part did whatever you asked. The parents told you they would be out late so when 11:45 rolled around you weren't surprised they hadn't come home yet. The house was quiet...too quiet. You never much liked this part of being a baby sitter. It was different when you did it for Sarah. The millers house was always warm and full of life. Those nights when Joel did get home a little later you felt safe curling up in on his couch with the TV on. Most of the times you would fall asleep like that and Joel would drive you home the next day after making you and Sarah breakfast. You smile at the memory. The sounds of the house settling are enough to snap you from this daydream down memory lane. "Fuck I really don't like this huge, quiet house. What if I call someone to keep me company. Dad will be asleep, so would mom and my sister. I bet Joel Miller is awake..." you stare at your phone and contemplate this next move. "Fuck it" you mutter and tape his name. The phone only rings a couple of times before you hear Joel's husky voice. A twinge of guilt shoots through you as you fear you've woken him up.
Hello? Everything okay? Hey, yeah I'm so sorry did I wake you? I was just restin' my eyes that's all. I ain't in bed yet. Well I just- I really don't like being in these houses all by myself. It sounds stupid but it's kinda scary I guess. 'S not stupid. You want someone to talk to-keep ya company? Yeah... and I figured you'd be awake still, but I guess I figured wrong You're all right honey, I really don't mind. I needed to get off this couch and sleep in my bed any how. But how 'bout you tell me about your day? My day was pretty boring honestly. I played with the cat, ate some ice cream and watched TV Wat'd ya watch? Love island What in the hell is that?
You laughed and proceeded to tell him all about the show. A little while passed and then you heard the lock click and knew the parents were home. You told Joel you had to go to which he responded "alright let me know when you get home safe. Can call me if you want." Back home you pondered whether or not you should call Joel. It was late and you were feeling tired, but you wanted to talk to him. After slipping into your pajamas you felt like you could hardly stay awake much longer, but you were determined to take advantage of this invitation from Joel to call him. So you tapped his name and watched the phone ring. You put it to your ear and your heart sank with each unanswered ring. When it went to voicemail you resolved that he had likely fallen asleep and you decided to do the same.
The next day you woke up early (ish) at 9:00. Your dad had already left for work. You roll over in your bed to check your phone and your heart pounds.
Missed call from Joel Miller 36m ago
You're hoping he's not at work yet and call him back quickly. "Hey sweetheart" he picks up within a few rings. "Sorry I missed your call last night. I ended up falling asleep and didn't hear the phone." It was so nice to hear his voice first thing in the morning. "Oh you don't need to apologize. I didn't really need anything, I just like talking to you" you could almost hear Joel grin as he said "well I like talkin' to you too sugar" you had walked down to your kitchen to put on a pot of coffee at this point when you say "hey why aren't you at work?" "Waitin for some parts to come in for this current job. Until they do there's nothin else I can really do. But the parts are supposed to be here by noon... so I'll get my ass to work in a couple hours" you notice a note taped to the fridge as Joel finishes saying all this. "I completely forget" you mutter to yourself, but apparently Joel hears. "What'd you forget?" "My dad left me a note reminding me that he's gone on a business trip and won't be back until Thursday." "Oh that's right. Your dad did mention that. Told me to keep an eye out for ya." "Did he really? "Yeah I mean you're going to be by yourself in that big house for almost 3 days" "I'm a grown ass woman though!" Joel chuckled. "No ones sayin you ain't, darlin. Dads worry and that don't change from when you're 5 or when you're 25" "I guess that's fair enough" you shrug. "I should get my day started here... might go on a run and catch up on laundry" "Well if you need anything the next couple of days just hollar" You hang up the phone with brief goodbyes and run your fingers through your tangled bed head. You groan as you massage your temple. "What the fuck am I doing?? I'm catching feelings for Joel fucking Miller. What's worse is that I'm flirting with him too"
Against your better judgement you decide to text Joel later in the day Hey what time you get off tonight? I should be wrapping up by 7...Why? You want to swing by for dinner? Nothing fancy. I'm just bored and I don't love being here alone in the evenings for long periods of time lol. Well I ain't gonna turn you down for some dinner. I'll see you at 7:30. Can I pick anything up at the store for ya on my way there? Well if you're offering... maybe some ice cream? And a bottle of rosè You got it
The rest of the day went by slowly. 7:30 couldn't get here fast enough. You were hoping for something to happen tonight with Joel, but you weren't sure what that would be. You hadn't decided if the lingering glances from him were just something you were imagining or actually happening. Around 6:30 you decide to hope in the shower and of course shave...because you never know right? After your shower you settle on wearing a simple, linen dress that's super comfortable and not all that fancy. At exactly 7:30 you hear the doorbell ring. You jump off the sofa to answer it, your heart in your throat. But when you open the door, you're afraid you might be sick. It's not Joel Miller who stands there, but your toxic ex boyfriend ...Ben.
"What the fuck are you doing? You need to leave" Ben smirks. "Aren't you a delight. I just wanted to talk to you, and since you've block my number I had to take matters into my hands." Your heart was racing. Ben had never shown any physical violence against you, but you didn't know what he was capable and you didn't want to find out. "I thought I made myself really fucking clear that we are over" you said with a shaky voice. "Baby I just don't think you get to make that call. I mean I've done so much to make this relationship work. You can't just throw all that away. You know you're never going to find another guy who puts up with your shit." That was it. Something in you snapped. Something that had been brewing for literally years was about to come out. "No fuck you!" You shoved him in the chest with both palms and he stumbled back just a step, caught off guard by your motion. "Screw you! I don't need a guy to put up with anything about me, you asshole. You act like you're some fucking hero for tolerating the fact that I struggle with my mental health and stuff!" Ben was fuming now. You had never laid hands on him and you could tell the shove had lit something inside him too. "You have issues you know that?! You have fucking issues in your head!" He screamed at you getting up in your face and grabbing your arms tightly, pinning them to your sides. Out of the corner of your eye you saw Joel's truck coming down the street and pulling into your drive way. Ben was now shaking you and yelling "YOU'RE SUCH A BITCH.." he didn't get to finish his sentence because a firm hand grabbed him by the shoulder and yanked him backwards.
If looks could kill...you had never seen such an expression on Joel. He looked like he could tear Ben to pieces right then and there, yet he maintained a calm composure. "I suggest you get the fuck off this porch and don't come back, son" Joel said in a low voice. Ben scoffed. "Get out of here, old man. This ain't your business" Ben spat. "Son, we can do this the easy way or the hard way." Ben let his head fall back and let out a chuckle that sent a chill down your spine. "Is that so?" Without warning Ben threw a punch and Joel and narrowly missed "Ben!" You shrieked. Ben straightened up sent another punch. Joel grabbed his wrist, mid punch and yanked him in close. Joel towered over him. "Do not make me repeat myself again. I said get the fuck off this porch, or things will get ugly." At this Joel shoved Ben forcefully away, causing him to stumble backwards. Ben still looked angry, but now there was a hint of fear in his eyes too. He gave you one last glare and then jogged back to his car.
As soon as Ben's car sped off. Joel sun around. "Are you okay??" He asked, grabbing your face in his hands. "Um yeah" you managed to squeak. "I mean that fucking scared me tho." Joel looked like he might be sick. "I am so sorry wasn't here at 7:30. If I got here on time- " "Joel come on you don't need to do that. It's not like either of us had any idea Ben would show up here. I'm glad you came when you did though." Joel massaged the bridge of his nose. He looked stressed and was probably imaging what would have happened if he didn't show up at all. He shook his head and squeezed his eyes shut as if trying to rid himself of the notion. "Joel look at me I'm fine!" You said pulling his hand away from his face. Joel took your hand in his and stroked it with his thumb. "Okay" he said softly. "Did you get my ice cream?" You said trying to change the subject. A smile tugged at his mouth. "Yeah I did, baby"
You had made spaghetti for dinner, about one of the only dishes you were confident in preparing. You and Joel sat at the table in silence and you watched as he pushed his food around. "I'm sorry I'm not a chef...if you want we could just order a pizza?" You suggested. Joel looked up at you seemingly caught off guard. "No no no it's not that! The meal is delicious. I guess I just don't have an appetite. That's all." You pushed back from the table and the chair scraping against the hardwood made Joel jump slightly. "Baby I didn't mean to offend you it's just" you laughed as you reached for the shelf above the stove "Joel I'm not mad I'm just looking for something." Joel slowly walked towards where you were balancing on a stool trying to get the top door of the cabinet open. "Um...what's that?" You grunted as you finally got hold of what it was you were looking for. "My dad's red wine. It's gross too me, but he always says red wine gives you an appetite." You hopped off the stool and thrust the bottle into his chest. "Where's the wine you got me? I would like to get into that like asap." Before waiting for a response you went into the other room where the grocery bag still sat with the ice cream and wine and dug out the bottle. You hastily removed the top and began drinking. "Y/n...slow down what are you doing?" You removed the bottle from your lips and wiped your mouth. "What does it look like I'm doing?" Joel's face was laced with concern. "Okay that's enough. I'm calling your dad, you can stay at mine until he gets home. I'm sure he'll book the first flight back when he hears.." you didn't let Joel finish. He had tried to grab the bottle from your hands "no, fuck off I'm a grown woman. I don't need you calling me dad to tell on me or whatever." Joel placed both hands in his hair and squeezed his head "sweetheart you're clearly not okay! And for good reason... will you just let me help you? I'm worried about you. This shit wasn't in any of the parenting books I read before Sarah.." "you're not my dad!" "No no I'm not saying that I just" ... "is that all this is? You want to fill the void of not having your daughter at home this summer. So you come over here to parent me because my dad's not here? I don't fucking need that Joel I don't want you to see me that way."
...to be continued
i don’t remember when i woke up, but i didn’t get up for a while cause my mom texted me saying my dad MIGHT be home from vacation and showed me a pic of him and the bit of the couch that was visible bro i could swear on my life it’s the exact same leather. so deadass. it startled me
eventually i got the courage to go downstairs… i didn’t find him or his stuff downstairs, i looked in the bedrooms and he wasn’t there.. so yeah no he didn’t come back early i don’t know why he would he always has business to do up untill the last day when he’s away
i grabbed the giant bowl of potato salad in the fridge and i flushed it all away, it’s been there for a while and i know i could say i’ve just been eating from the bowl mindlessly. i also flushed away the 2 pieces of toast in the fridge i bet they would’ve been very good if i reheated them but that didn’t happen
i also cleaned my room entirely, i resorted my entire closed and just fixed all the mess and put everything in its place, i notice that as i get older the compulsion to clean keeps sneaking up on me, so because i do it often, when i do clean it only takes about an hour and a half compared to like 5….. but also, my space has just become so sacred to me !! i love how my bedroom is and how lovely it is… all of my things there… my items.. i don’t want all of my stuff to be gross.
afterwards my mom came home. i greeted her warmly and i offered to help her make dinner. she noticed the potato salad being gone and i just kind of said i couldn’t help myself. she nodded quietly and in a genuine tone said “it’s okay, you should eat if you’re hungry !” and i grinned knowing i did well…
i helped her make teramisu, as well as dinner. i made the teramisu completely on my own, and dinner she just gave me instructions i followed. it was easy enough, it was like chicken alfredo or something of the sorts.
after i finished up the teramisu i put it in the fridge to set. it obviously wouldn’t be done cause dinner was just done as well, so i set for a different sweet treat. notice how i kind of stopped caring about my original strict dietary rules ? yeah i also had some mascarpone and like 1 pepperoni again.
200g total chicken alfredo — 286cal.
90g brusselsprouts — 41cal.
53g poffertjes — 170cal.
extra’s — 63cal.
total : 560cal
the food was good ! i’m happy with how i made it.. but… i felt some sort of guilt falling over me. i felt my old self returning.. the self that wanted to eat and enjoy. yes, im eating less of course and more often choosing to dispose of food while pretending im eating it.. but i definitely needed to change something
after dinner i just wanted to eat more and more. i distracted myself by going on my treadmill, i went for 30 mins then needed to go to the bathroom then went back on and felt so sickly i couldn’t even last another 30 mins ? i walked till i got my 10k then promptly collapsed LMFAO
after waking back up from my pathetic ass coma i sat down to write my story, and i was really enjoying it.. i ended up writing untill 3am and a lot of it was already written a long time ago, so i spent some time editing and adding new segments that helped improve the pacing, and i made it up to 43 pages in my google doc nyehehe
then i took my ass to bed. short day, i set my alarm for 9 am the next day cause i THOUGHT i had therapy… tsk…
perfect song, its so perfect and so totally gives the vibe of the segments i was writing <3
𓏲.ೃ࿔❀˙˖ 。 stats for today
streak : 8 days binge free !
cals : 560
steps : 11.4k
today was alright, not happy about the snacking and not happy with how low my steps are, i definitely could’ve utilised my time better… but it’s fine lol. definitely not happy about how high my cals were atp… just not pleased with myself lol
Previous chapter | Next chapter
Masterlist
Good luck tonight! Hopefully it won't rain, because those clouds look so bad… (📸) Also look at the sea. Back home it doesn't get like this (📸) The food here is just 🤤 (📸) You have fans who aren't teenagers 😱 (📸) I wonder if they'll think I'm one too (📸)
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
"And?"
"Nothing yet" I sigh. "This was a good idea, right?"
"It was" Emma says, giving my hand an encouraging squeeze. "Traveling to the other side of the country to watch him play is so romantic!"
"I don't care if it is romantic or not. I just want to explain everything to him and for things to go back to the way they were."
"Who would have thought you would end up missing a teenager's dick, uh?" she laughs.
"I should have brought Silvia with me" I reply, rolling my eyes.
"But sadly, she's too busy with Pau finally being back, so you'll have to deal with me" she smiles.
It's been a month since that stupid engagement party, since Pedri and I had that argument, since I last saw him in person. And I've felt like shit every single day.
I should have been honest with him. I should have opened myself to him, share all my fears. But I couldn't. I was too much of a coward, and because of it, I may have lost the person who managed to finally make me close a chapter of my life. The person that gave me what I needed to finally let go.
But I'm ready now. I'm ready to tell him everything. And that's why Emma and I are here, though her first plan was a bit stalkery.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
"I just sent him a good luck message before the game and he has left me as read. Again" I sigh.
"At least you know he hasn't blocked you."
"Yeah, I guess. But I can't keep living this, I have to do something."
"Why don't you just show up at his house and don't leave until he listens to you?"
"I can't do that, Emma. He'll end up calling the police."
"Then why don't you go watch him play at the Camp Nou? Maybe his friends can help you corner him somewhere so you can talk."
"That isn't such a bad idea, you know… Though they are going on international break after tonight's game."
"Then let's go watch him play with Spain! You could even wear his shirt, I'm sure he would like that. You aren't allergic to that one, are you?"
"I'm not, no" I laugh. "But I don't know where they are playing and when. And there may not be tickets left."
"Then let's find out" she says, taking out her phone and starting to type.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
A couple of hours after that conversation, and mostly thanks to Ferran, we had it all ready. We would be spending the weekend in La Coruña, a city in the West of Spain where the national team is playing, and where, hopefully, I will find a way to convince Pedri to let me explain myself.
"Is it him?" Emma asks when my phone buzzes.
"Oh my God" I gasp. "It's him, he has replied!" I say, my hand shaking.
"What does he say?"
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
Val, what is all that?
Are those photos real?
Yep
Are you here?
In La Coruña?
And wearing my shirt? 😳
I am
Wait a second
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
"Emma, he's facetiming me."
"Then pick up!"
"How do I look?"
"For the love of God, Valeria. Who cares? Pick up!"
"Ok" I say, taking a deep breath. "Hello" I smile.
"Show me around."
"What?"
"Show me around, Valeria."
"Don't need to be so rude, Pedro" I say, moving so he can see where I am. Emma and I had sat down on a bench not too far away from the stadium to kill time until we can go inside.
"You are here. You… Why?"
"Well, Emma and I had a free weekend and wanted to disconnect from the kids, we saw an ad about the game, we had never been to La Coruña, and we said, why not?" I shrug.
"Let's go disconnect from the kids by watching other kids play" Pedri chuckles.
"Asensio isn't a kid."
"Then why are you wearing my shirt?" he asks, arching an eyebrow.
"It was the only one left in the shop" I shrug again.
"Sure" he laughs.
"It was yours or Morata's, and you know how I feel about him."
"I do, yes" he laughs again. God, I had missed hearing him laugh. "Anyway, I gotta go, we are leaving the hotel now."
"Ok."
"Thank you for coming to the game."
"Of course" I smile. But he doesn't. He's gone serious again.
"Bye, Valeria."
"Bye" I say before he hangs up.
"That went well, didn't it?" Emma says.
"Did it?" I sigh.
"It did! You had a little moment there, so there still is hope."
"I guess, but he kept calling me Valeria and… Wait" I say when my phone buzzes again.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
Don't forget to send me your good luck text.
It is the last thing I always read before warm up
I won't. I promise 😊
❤️
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
"See? There still is hope!" Emma says, grabbing my arm and squeezing it. She's actually hurting me, but I don't care.
Because there still is hope.
What's your routine when it comes to writing?
I’m literally just writing everything I can think of because I don’t know if I have a routine exactly but hopefully something here answers your question
My writing goal is 1K words per week, and I’ve been able to keep up with this since the start of this year. It’s not much, but it gives me a minimum amount of consistent progress without burning me out, which is incredibly helpful
I work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, so I get most of my writing done outside of that, and then Mondays are usually busy for me so it’s up in the air how much writing I’ll get done that day. For the last few weeks I’ll write a little on Monday, then get the bulk of it done on Thursday and/or Saturday, which leaves Sunday free
I can’t have too many background distractions or I’ll zero in on that even if I’m not interested in it, but I find I work best with quiet background noise of some variety to ensure I’m not understimulated. My favourites tend to be a writing sprint video I love and custom soundpads I’ve made on TableTop Audio, which allows you to easily create soundscapes for whatever setting it is you’re writing about
I like writing on my laptop more than anything, with one tab being my writing and another being my notes. Any tabs that aren’t related to my writing need to be closed or they get too tempting. I cannot use my phone to research in this time or I will definitely get distracted
I work from two locations; in my bed or in the living room set up on the recliner. Both locations involve open curtains and blinds for natural light and a blanket over my lap while I write. I even have a dedicated writing blanket which has largely been taken over by my dogs, who will snuggle up whenever I get it out. I have to frequently stop them from laying their heads on my keyboard and creating shortcuts
If it’s a good motivation day or I’m at a point where I need to write a lot today or I won’t meet my deadlines, I’ll put on the writing sprint video and work within those parameters; 25 minutes writing, 5 minutes taking a break, repeat three more times. This is what got me through NaNoWriMo
Otherwise, I’ll turn on my soundscapes and tell myself I’ll just write for ten minutes and then I can stop if I want to. After ten minutes my brain wants to at least finish the part it’s on, and then I question if I want to keep going. Usually the answer is yes, so I’ll keep going. If I get to a point where my interest is starting to wane, I’ll tell myself to give it another ten minutes, and if I’m still disinterested I quit for the time being
After I’ve finished my weekly goal, I always try to reward myself with a snack or something fun. Lately the desired treat has been chocolate chip muffins
Once I’ve hit the goal and am no longer writing, I tend not to pick it up again until the next week because my brain thinks ‘well anything I write now won’t count to my immediate goals, so why bother?’ even though logically it’ll mean less of these sessions in the future. I do usually get at least 1100 words each week though, and I’d say my average is around 1200-1500, so I’m not too worried about that. I don’t mind so much if this all takes me a long time, it’s all for fun anyway
Fictober Day 19: "this is getting ridiculous"
That '70s Show Fanfiction
Hyde was recovering from Thursday-night sex with Jackie. They'd both been too busy with work, too tired, to go longer than a half-hour. But he'd felt deeply the absence of that connection between them. Their mutual need finally overrode the stress from their daily lives. October nineteenth, 1989 was a date he wouldn't soon forget.
Now they were cozy together on their bed, enjoying each other's company a different way. Her head laid on his chest; his arm was draped around her waist, and his hand played with her fingers. This night would've epitomized the concept of perfection, but he didn't believe in perfection -- and the phone ringing validated his lack of belief.
"Ignore it," Jackie mumbled. "Machine -- "
But Hyde withdrew his arm from Jackie and picked up the phone on his nightstand. "'Lo?"
"Oh, Steven, you're awake!" Mrs. Forman said through the earpiece. "Is Jackie with you?'
"Yup."
"Then put me on the speaker-thing."
He grunted as he sat up. Jackie said, "Who is it?" He told her, and she also sat up in the bed.
"Laurie gave Red and me the most wonderful gift today!" Mrs. Forman's said through the phone speaker. Her voice was slightly distorted, but her elation wasn't. "A painting of herself -- pregnant! She's going to have a baby!"
Hyde rubbed his eyes but smiled. "Congrats on havin' your first grandkid in about nine months."
"Oh, it'll be a bit sooner than that."
"What?" Jackie leaned over Hyde's body to shout into the phone. "Laurie hid the pregnancy from you?"
"No, no. Donna -- "
Mrs. Forman stopped in mid-sentence, but both Hyde and Jackie said, "Donna what?"
A static-y breath preceded Mrs. Forman's next words: "Donna's a little jealous Laurie beat her to it. I called her and Eric before you. ... Speaking of you two, when do you think you'll give me a grandchild?"
Hyde and Jackie glanced at each other. He scratched the back of his neck, and she gripped the comforter tightly. Their silence must've gone on too long because Mrs. Forman said, "Jackie isn't getting any younger, and you don't want to be one of those dads people think are their children's grandparents."
"Me and Jackie are plenty young, man. Hell, I haven't even turned twenty-nine yet. My birthday's not 'til the end of next month ... and why am I justifyin' our choices? You'll get plenty of grandkids from Laurie and Eric."
"But, Steven -- "
"Love you," he said. "Talk later." He pressed the speaker button on the phone, hanging up on Mrs. Forman. She was his mom in the truist sense of the term, and he laid his head back on his pillow and groaned. "Well, now I feel like shit."
"This is getting ridiculous." Jackie curled up beside him. "Everyone's baby crazy lately."
"Yeah. Thought they were Halloween crazy, but maybe the Formans are keeping something from us."
"Donna threw up in the middle of our interview on Monday. What if she's pregnant already?" She brushed her fingers through his hair. "Our careers are our children. There's nothing wrong with that."
He turned toward her on the bed, and memories surfaced of their time with Betsy from when she was infant to a few days ago. "Maybe us havin' a human kid wouldn't be a terrible thing."
"I thought we agreed we'd be horrible parents. I'm too absorbed in my work ... okay, in myself. Like mom-and-dad, like daughter. And you're just as worried about being like your parents, the ones who raised you. Or shutting down emotionally."
"We've been too hard on ourselves, grasshopper." He stroked the side of her face and pecked her lips. "We went from skirting responsibility as teenagers to bein' hyper responsible as adults. There's a middle ground -- for everything."
Jackie studied her engagement ring. It glimmered in the ambient light from their bedroom windows. "We're not even getting married until next summer."
"So that gives us more time to talk about this. Does any part of you want a kid?"
She didn't answer at first. Her breaths grew fast, but she eventually whispered, "Yes."
"Got a few parts in me that've also changed their position."
'That didn't come out right," she said with a laugh, "but I know what you mean." She rubbed his bare chest and stomach but didn't go lower, which would've made his last statement literal. "You should get your record label set up and going. I've got to pull off my winter fashion show and the spring/summer collection it'll showcase. Then we need to focus more on their wedding. Then, maybe, we can think about having a child. If it feels more like a sacrifice than a gift to either of us, no."
Hyde grasped her hand over his heart. "Sometimes sacrifices can also be gifts."
AITA? Really need advice
So... on the petty officer course I met this guy, we got on well, spent the 4 evenings having some beers for a few hours together. We were face-to-face for a total of 4 days. After, we kept in touch but he was messaging me every single day when I was sick which is a lot for me and I told him that a) I don't spend a lot of time on my phone and needed space while I was really unwell, and once I was better b) I'm training sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have the gym on Friday so I'm either training or very tired and just want some time to myself so responses will be sporadic. This is on top of the fact that we had Christmas, New Year and then it was also my birthday as well as my initial fitness deadline which was my priority and I kept telling him that.
He kept messaging me anyway and would get annoyed when I didn't respond, it got to the point where I just stopped responding at all for about two weeks. I felt bad and started replying again and he's decided he wants to fly up and stay with me. I said that was fine but I'm really busy this month because I'm training even harder due to having the 4 day course next month that will decide my fate for the rest of the year at least and my entire career future at most. I also explained that once the course is over, I'm then away on a first aid at work course for 3 days, so again, I'm going to be very busy and tired.
He messages me last night 11pm deciding that he wants to fly up this weekend, I didn't read the message at the time cos I was tired and just wanted to chill before going to bed, he then messaged again at 7am which is when I read it all with 'I'll take that as a no then" that I didn't see until I woke up at 8.30am and simply reminded him that training is ramping up and between training, the gym and desperately clinging onto what little free time and energy I have, my training has to be my priority.
He got sarcastic with me and I just left him unread.
Now, he's messaged me wanting to fly up the day after my fitness test course which is only a few days before my first aid course and I'm just....... am I in the wrong here for feeling like this is too much? We're not dating, we've only known each other since early December of which we were around each other for 4 days, this a lot, right? I can't be the only one who thinks this? We're not even friends let alone whatever he seems to think we are at this point? We're literally acquaintances if even that.
What do I do? Am I being irrational? Am I the problem? I keep telling him I'm busy and that this course is everything to me and he just keeps ignoring it and he's being really pushy? I did like him but now I just don't want anything to do with him cos I feel like he isn't listening to me.
Side note: if I fail this fitness test course, I have to wait a year before I can try again which is another reason why I don't want to have to do that as I'm already very close to the maximum age limit to apply at all.
Ugh apparently I have MORE WORK to do on my creative thesis?
It’s 2/3 ok but 1/3 of it still needs work. It’s not even bad it’s just that I can do better so I have to do better before I can be done! I want to be done so bad!
And I have no time to do it in. I mean. I have some time to do it in, until Monday. But I also have a thousand things to do at the job where I make money, and I don’t know if I have enough time at all the things. I was counting on not having as much to do this weekend because last weekend and the weekend after this one are going to be so freaking busy.
I feel like I’m going to get this degree, but I feel like I’m not going to be proud of it. I also feel like my parents do not give a shit that I got the equivalent of a Ph.D over the last four years and have no pride in what I’ve done beyond what they’re faking when I tell them about my work. They genuinely seem so disinterested every time I tell them about this program and I am certain I am torturing them with my babbling. I told myself it was enough that my friends care, but I guess it still stings that my parents don’t give a shit and frankly they keep sending me mixed messages about how much my writing matters. So does my workplace!
And my friends do care but now everyone has more serious stuff going on and I feel bad asking for them to care.
And the world is going to hell and the government wants to censor everything now or companies want to use AI instead of actual writers because they don’t want to pay writers and (INHALE EXHALE) even fandom writing isn’t fulfilling sometimes because there are genuinely so few people who are interested in the ships I want to write and some folks are actively hostile to what interests me and yes yes write for yourself but honestly when the fandom stuff is happening against this backdrop? It fucking sucks! It sucks a lot!!
Also let’s just say a certain group of people at work trashed my workspace today and left food wrappers all over. As well as the packets of information I painstakingly put together for them. I literally mean nothing to these people. They literally do not care. They are going to be the successful people on this world and I will not even make their “acknowledgments” section.
I cannot see myself having a creative future in the world as it currently exists.
And that honestly crushes me. I feel like I’ve run out of time.
