Q&A Post #2
I was asked if about how I managed to stay organized, whether I had a specific study schedule or any tricks I could share. I replied that I am heavily reliant on my bullet journal, which lead to these questions:
How do you structure your bullet journal?
So the agenda parts of my bujo (because I use it for everything, drawing, lists, brain dumps, journaling, scheduling, etc) are:
-Yearly (mostly holidays, birthdays, etc)
-Monthly (for me this has ended up just being a list of the days in the month where I can quickly reference appointments and bills and stuff)
*Semester: I make a start-to-finish list of all of my assignments for the semester, broken down by week. I use this as my reference rather than the course schedule online.
-Weekly, sometimes daily if I have a lot going on that day. This is the most important one, and I’m constantly changing how I do things to find what works best for me. I take ideas from Pinterest, Instagram, the bullet journal subreddit, Tumblr, and even sometimes from specific products that give me ideas I like (like the EVO journal, which I think is overpriced and not something I will buy, but I took their little quiz and started making my own spreads inspired by the info they gave me).
I don’t ALWAYS have the spoons for it- sometimes my spreads are beautiful and hand-drawn, sometimes they’re mostly washi tape, sometimes it’s just a super minimalist list. Everyone is different and what I like about weekly spreads is that you can change you mind a lot and try new things. Some people use habit trackers to track medications or water, some people task-batch, some people just want an appointment book.
What works best for me (as of right now) is doing a weekly spread that gives me room to write one thing I’m grateful for every day (or what the highlight of my day was, or something interesting I learned). I also have a space for brain dump/notes, and space for to-dos for the week.
I sit down first thing in the morning with my bujo and decide what my priority/priorities for the day will be. I pick at least one but no more than 3. If there are other things that I need to do but aren’t as important or don’t need to be done at a specific time, I will sometimes put them in a separate “other tasks” list.
Do you break the day up hour by hour (ex. read textbook from 9am-10am etc.)?
No. No, I do not. I do not have that kind of self-control. If I tried to micro-manage my time like that I would be so stressed out because I would always feel like I’m falling behind or running late, or like I’m a slave to the clock.
I DO use the Pomodoro method (I use an android app called Tide because it has the timer and white noise, but there are timers online too like marinaratimer.com) when I’m trying to do schoolwork this is extra important. You would be surprised what you can get done in 25 minutes if you don’t let yourself wander off.
Also, I have ADD, so I have an Adderall prescription that helps a lot too. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.
What would a typical day or week look like?
Well, I freelance and do random crap like that because I can’t seem to be happy and well when I’m working regular hourly jobs, even just part-time. So I’ve become pretty nocturnal. Still: wake up, take care of my dog and cats, and if I’m feeling good and productive and focused, then the next thing I do is sit down with a glass of water and my bujo.
If I’m burnt out and struggling, I tend to sit in front of the computer and watch last nights tv shows. I’m not gonna sit here and pretend like I function every single day or like I have my shit together at all. Somedays, getting up and dressed and feeding myself is all that I get done. But it’s perfectly okay for that to be the priority for the day, and if I’ve taken the time to sit down and bujo in the morning and decide that self-care is my priority, then I find that I don’t feel like I’m just being lazy and procrastinating and hiding from assignments I hate (writing assignments… papers are the worst for me)
So... wake up, take care of animals, journaling to decide what my priorities are for the day. Then I watch some tv and eat breakfast/lunch/whatever I can convince myself to eat. If I’ve really got it together that day, I try to only watch one episode of something before making myself do at least one Pomodoro. Sometimes that ends up being a full 4 rounds (25 minutes of focus, 5-minute break, repeat 4 times before watching another episode of tv) but sometimes I get it all done in 25 minutes or only have the will to do one round before watching another episode. Then it depends a lot on what my daily priorities are.
Did you ever have bad weeks which would cause you to fall behind?
Yes. All the time yes. I spend the entire second half of the term playing catch up and freaking out. It’s part of why I chose classes online. They have a very clear cut late policy: you can turn in any assignment up to 2 weeks late. If it’s between 1 minute and 1 week late, they take 10% off, then 20% for that second week. It helps me a lot because if I can’t get to something that is already late one day, it’s not gonna be worse to do it the next day. 10% is 10% is 10%. And I do well enough during the first half of the term to get a high grade going, so my half-assed crap the rest of the time is good enough to get me to the grade threshold (another good thing about my school, 900-1000 is an A, 800-899 is a B, etc. I know I can lose 100 points and still get an A. If I do REALLY well throughout the semester I can sometimes get to the point where I don’t need the points from the final paper at all, which helps because papers are the hardest for me)

A big bang of “how to” stuff
Tumblr media
There I was again tonight forcing laughter faking smiles so I made up this long ass post for y'all!
So you a potato. Me a potato. World conquered by we potatoes. But potato need survival tips. So your brotato (get it? Bro potato?) help you out. Yay potato. Go go potato.
Study related stuff :
Tumblr media
1. Get good grades
Catch concepts, not chapters. Your portion is most likely gonna be super vast, so it’s helpful to know a little something from every chapter rather than knowing just 50% of your syllabus.
Figure out which concepts are important and master them.
Keep all assignments completed at least 1 day before submission date. This isn’t always possible but trust me if you do this you’re guaranteeing marks for proper submission. Job done early? Proof check and add touches to enhance that essay!
Let the teachers know that you’re working hard. I actually passed math because my math teacher knew I was working super hard on my math skills. Participate in the class, gather a bunch of doubts and then dump them on your teacher when the chapter ends.
Try not to miss lectures because chances are you’ll remember that silly mnemonic your friend made up in class and get the answer correct.
Analysis of your exam type is super important. Want me to make a long ass post about it?
2. Be more productive
Having a stuydjo/bujo by your side helps hella lot.
Plan plan plan. Lists, organise lists and colour code them. Basically become Monica Geller Bing and you’re set for life.
Motivational quotes from pinterest almost make me guilty for not being productive and force me to do something.
Before starting your study session, dance around to upbeat music for like 5 minutes. You’ll see the difference I promise.
Seek out inspiration from your smart friends /tumblr friends /people you look up to by constantly reminding yourself about them. I always think of hermione granger because even randomly picturing her with books in my mind ignites that badass boss feeling complying me to study tf up.
3. Manage your time
Studyjo/bujo saves your life.
Wear a watch all the damn time, it will remind you of how much time you’re spending doing nothing. You’ll end up saving several extra minutes!
List out what you’re gonna do every hour of the day on a sticky note and refer to it when you feel lazy.
Get a super nice friend /parent /sibling who will constantly remind you to utilise your time.
Think of time as currency and pretend that it’s all a game where you need to save up as much money as you can to become a billionaire. Save up your time and become rich af.
4. Avoid procrastinating
Stduyjo/bujo again. You know the drill now.
A little bit of exercise before starting work generally works you up and sets the correct mood.
Knowing how ahead your friends are from you often makes you wanna catch up so try getting that motivation.
Set goals + rewards that actually matter to you. Maybe a face care spa day isn’t your thing but munching on a snickers bar is. Treat yo self.
Tell someone a detailed plan of what you are going to accomplish the next day. Now whenever you see that person you’ll want to prove to them that you’re doing what you promised. Or the guilt may drive you too.
Appearance related stuff :
Tumblr media
1. Look more put together
Try the lipstick trick. There are days when you do not have the time /want to put on makeup, so just put on a lipstick that matches your outfit and you’ll automatically create an illusion of being more put together, boss af and fabulous.
Try out cheap (potato can’t afford sorry) but elegant accessories. If it’s a necklace try tucking it under the collar of your shirt and see the magic. Stick to one staple accessory that’s gonna be your trademark.
Tame that mane potato. Your hair isn’t gonna detangle itself. You gotta do it. I mean, don’t you love your hair?
Minimalistic colours rock. Some outfits never go old like flannels or white shirts or black dresses.
2. Feel beautiful
The lipstick does the trick for me.
Putting my hair in a sky high ponytail makes me feel like I’m a queen or something.
Save little compliments for yourself as reminders and when you get them you’ll feel 10x more beautiful than before.
Mind related stuff :
Tumblr media
1. Deal with burnout/slump
Try to accomplish super tiny stuff. Break down every task into micromolecular basics.
Give yourself a ted talk. It works.
Sometimes the best way of dealing with burnout is by detoxing from the thing that caused burnout. Stay away form books and after some time you’ll actually want to study.
2. Study with slumps/mental illness
Step one is to finish homework /assignments. If you can concentrate on them, you’re good to go.
Do not take up a lot of load, just skimming through textbooks, reviewing notes, going over flashcards should do the trick.
If you desperately need to get shit done, just ignore the fact that you do not want to do it. It’s harsh on your mind but desperate times require desperate measures.
Avoid forcing yourself to study because you’ll not retain info like that.
Take it easy. But consistently. Maybe just one topic a day. But do not miss a day. A steady everyday practice goes long way in the future.
3. Strengthen self control
There are several apps that can help you with this, like forest. My top pick is the Tide app which has a gorgeous interface and super aesthetic timers with new pictures everyday. I shit you not every time I quit my pomodoro I feel the guilt of having killed 1000 puppies its worse and I avoid doing that at all costs.
If you study in your room, keep your phone in the kitchen for some time. Your lazy ass is less likely to get up and use the phone.
Switching the phone off before starting a study session works because I care for my phone like a baby and it feels horrible to switch it on and off and on and off.
Practice 30 minutes of digital detox everyday. You don’t have to study at that time, just stay away from everything that is technology. Read and book, eat a fruit, make a sandwich, paint, sing, dance, exercise. Study if you want. Just no gadgets.
4. Deal with stress
Yoga works. Potato body ain’t that flexible so just breathing exercises for a start is also enough.
Highly recommended : brain dump every night before sleeping can ensure that you’ll not stay up too late pondering over the meaning of your existence and world politics.
Having a hearty talk with someone you trust will also lift weight off your chest.
Pin point the cause of your stress and annihilate the problem. Slay it.
Life related stuff :
Tumblr media
1. Drink more water
Carry a cool ass bottle of water with you every frigging where.
Make it a rule to have a drink everytime you go to the loo or you take a bath /shower.
Replace one of your daily caffeines /sugars with water. You don’t have to get rid of coffee because that’s just non potato ish, but maybe that third cup could be replaced with water.
Try a game thingy. Maybe everytime the word ‘procrastination’ pops in your mind take a drink. Wow, I’m so creative *sighs for eternities*.
2. Be more healthy
5 minute stretches right after getting up works you up.
Try one of those YouTube videos of 15 minute workouts. You can have 3 such workouts through the day and call yourself a fit potato.
Replacing one packet of junk food with nuts/fruits also works.
Everytime you hear someone say something related to money, have a banana. Random much? Nope, bananas are known to increase hormones that make you happy in your body, meaning you’ll feel full and happy. Maybe offer the person a banana too.
3. Be more happy
Eat bananas!
Take pictures of things you love, not things your followers love.
Puppies are a source of eternal joy.
Reading goofy/cheesy/romance books make you giggle and feel good in general.
Watching cheesy films or good ass romcoms works just well.
Friends was created for a reason.
Writing down what you accomplished today gives a sense of pride and satisfaction. Take that shit.
Tumblr has shitposts made basically to make you happy.
4. Find your true calling /figuring tf out what you wanna do with your life
Lists lists lists. Subjects you love, you hate, you’re good at, you suck at.
Consulting your teachers, family etc and find out what they think you’re good at. Sometimes other people can see traits of yours better than you.
Career tests rock.
You’ll figure it out in the end somehow.
And that’s about it for now folks, hope this helps. See y'all laterz~

My approach for you to cryptocurrency investing is a bit boring... I seem at the principles regarding the project, the group, its competitors, etc. so I prevent losing income on my investments. IF YOU WOULD RATHER FOLLOW OFTEN THE HYPE TRAIN, THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. Around this post, I will be smashing down the fundamentals connected with Fence and evaluating in the event it is the best suit for my profile. (Obligatory "this is not expenditure advice, do your individual research" warning here) a single. Price Proposition In that group, I actually attempt to be able to detect exactly what often the Verge project is, why it is important, and even what cost it offers to the Blockchain field as a whole. Whenever this depends upon aides tacks, Verge is usually a privateness coin. That uses this same technology intended for covering recipient's identity that Monero does; Stealth Contact information. Inside fact, both coins use the same criteria, detailed within Verge's "Blackpaper"... Capture. PNG Monero and Verge change in how they cover this sender's identity, however. Monero uses an innovative ring signature technology, while Verge is attempting to be able to utilize TOR together with I2P technologies to accomplish that process. My partner and i don't need to get for you to mobile phone by the technological variances, as that could always be its own post, although it is worth noting of which Verge has certainly not finished bringing in TOR together with I2P into their platform still. Overall, It is my opinion the need to have for privacy is evident, and the utility of private purchases is previously mentioned average, so I presented Verge an 8/10 because of this category. 2. Organization and Team In this classification, I take a new appearance at the scale the team working on the particular project, asses if they will are competent associated with rewarding their promises, and when that they are proud of their do the job. Verge is a good open source task, and even, because it is a new privacy coin, it makes sense that the guys and women involved want some invisiblity, nonetheless the size regarding the team appears to be much smaller than the Fence Blackpaper suggests: 2. PNG It is evident when shopping at the GitHub database for the project (where they keep all this Verge code). According in order to the Blackpaper, there will be 28 active developers with regard to Edge. According to often the GitHub, being nice, right now there are about 8: 3. PNG If you rely adding 10 lines of code to a assignment in some sort of whole 12 months an "active" developer. All round, it is clean up Fence has a new very little set of active developers, who will be all anonymous. It is definitely hard to own confidence at the continued growth of the project because connected with this. We offered Edge a 3/10 in this particular category. 3. Growth hcg diet plan Roadmap In this group, I try to butts how the team is carrying out in regards to completing objectives troubles roadmap or even making advancement in often the code. As you can see in the carry on section, not much development has got been done in the last year in relation to the particular Fence project. From my researching, the idea looks similar to most of the work done in the last season was to release the new Blackpaper to try to breathe lifestyle back directly into the project. When you even so have doubts, just glance at the image below, which specifics the code development in the past year. (I think the particular recent spike is incorrect, but I could not really verify that. ) 4. PNG As a new end observe, it is not necessarily supposed to look that will scarce. Especially for a new project that is supposedly under active advancement. It probably will certainly not surprise you that they are dropping powering on the roadmap published within the Verge site: 5. PNG There happen to be 2 days eventually left within Q4 of 2017, better get coding! Me not sure why My partner and i have scored Verge so high with this category, now that I am critiquing this again, but I offered Edge a 4/10 in typically the development category. five. Lieu Value In the coin value category, I actually prefer to look in how the lieu is actually used in the circle together with the monetary policy around the coin. Verge is a proof of work coin, similar to Bitcoin, yet the idea uses a 5 various criteria method to even more reduce centralization regarding mining power. I cannot converse with the efficacy of this particular technique with regards in order to reducing centralization, nonetheless it is not a narrative approach. Many other gold and silver coins make use of a similar 5 criteria proof of work system. There are sixteen. 5 million, that's right Thousand with a N, Verge gold coins. There is a 0. 1 XVG cost per transaction which usually goes in order to pay miners. Verge statements a 5-10 subsequent financial transaction time with a throughput of 100 transactions for each second. We am uncertain if this is a consequence of to the relatively little size of the Verge system, the 5 criteria proof of work system, or even other technological advantage regarding Verge, yet My partner and i uncertainty it is exclusive to help this coin. Overall, the number of Verge coins is substantial, nonetheless there is a fixed give. I considered Verge was typical in this category, and I provided them a 5/10. a few. Competition This classification is pretty do it yourself informative. I actually found a terrific Steemit article here the fact that specifics all the different level of privacy coins and their skills and flaws. I is not going to go into the facts in this posting, yet it can be apparent to my opinion that a lot of projects are really trying to tackle typically the issue of unknown purchases on the Blockchain. Due to the fact Monero also uses typically the core Stealth Address technological innovation found in Verge, it is hard to offer Baguette a great score with this category. I ended up offering Verge the 4/10 or even slightly under common scores in the competitors category.
Tumblr media
six. Price That is probably going to be the most popular class in this whole evaluation. "Why do the basics associated with some sort of coin matter when you might get rich off of the idea anyways? inches Smh... I want to go alongside with this thinking trying to examine the greatest prospective cost Verge could see. Below is a overview of coinmarketcap. com regarding today. six. PNG Most of us can see Dash (another level of privacy coin) is rated on #8 with the worth of just over $9 Billion. Currently, Edge is rank #20 with some sort of valuation of $2. a couple of Billion. Let's point out that Verge became typically the top privacy tableau, in addition to it has the valuation grew to $10 Billion. This would drive Verge just earlier mentioned Rush in terms of market place limit. That would turn out to be a jump around 450%, which is not necessarily unprecedented in the crypto globe. Provided that Verge's current price tag is about 15 dollars, this would insert Edge at 60 pence for each coin. This is rarely the next Bitcoin. In Windows Verge Core Wallet Download with most of my questions about the principles regarding the project, I find out the industry is irrational, in addition to Baguette could pass Sprinkle with regard to market cap. A 4x return is rather delicious, thus i gave Brink a slightly above average score in the price group 6/10. 7. Community In this particular category, We will become assessing the size, understanding, and way of thinking of the Verge area. Please don't crucify me personally! For the analysis in this category, I generally looked at typically the sub-reddit sizes for this particular coin. three or more, 300 Readers - https://www.reddit.com/r/verge/ 29, 000 Subscribers -- https://www.reddit.com/r/vergecurrency/ These kinds of are pretty mean in the crypto world. For a coin that is normally being hyped like goofy. The overall know-how plus mindset of a community is very hard in order to judge, and so take this specific with a grain regarding salt. But the general sensation I had after reading some posts inside these communities was that individuals were getting in on this coin to chase profits. It doesn't inspire very much self-confidence through me, individually. Overall, Fence earned a good 3/10 in the neighborhood group. 6. Reputation Standing, or maybe how the larger Blockchain community views this task, is definitely also largely the summary category. If you perform not feel I i am being fair, I actually welcome you to score these kind of categories for yourself. From our experience, the standing of this Verge venture is slightly below working. If you were being in order to ask a random person on Blockchain message boards about Verge, they would possibly explain to you the idea was over-hyped and that the technology doesn't deliver for the project's promises. We was depressing to look for that was the situation during my research. Verge received a a little below regular 4/10 within the reputation category. 9. Partnerships It is definitely not really uncommon to get Blockchain projects under growth in order to not have virtually any partnerships with other companies, as those usually form following your project finishes developing modern technology. Verge has little or no meaningful partnerships to speak involving, outside of a small number of providers that accept their very own currency: 8. PNG But , My partner and i can not hold this particular towards the project as well a lot of. Verge earns the working 5/10 in the relationship category. 10. Risk The particular final class We consider when looking in spending in a cryptocurrency is usually the risk profile. To be able to accurately rating some sort of piece in this type, anyone must consider the opportunity on the project (how really hard it will be to complete), competition, plus the talent of the team working away at the project. Successfully doing Verge can take important advancement, plus from the previous segments, it is apparent this development workforce for Edge is nearly non-existent. For this reason, I take into account Verge to be above average with regard to its chance. Verge brings in a 3/10 in the threat type. Total Score: 45/100 Typically, I like to devote in projects around this 80+ variety. I assume it goes without saying 45 significantly falls beneath my conditions for investment. I hope anyone observed the article helpful, and perhaps learned a bit concerning the Baguette project. Usually do your own personal due persistance before making any expenditure! If you desire observing my own review, as well as just simply want to listen to the lovely voice, check out our video review in this article:

Writer’s Block: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Howdy internet!
I haven’t always been a writer, in fact only within the past few years I’ve started doubling down and taking writing seriously.
I went to college for illustration back in 2015, and it was then I hit my first mental block when it came to artistic inspiration. It sucked! I remember distinctly two separate pieces I had to do where I couldn’t for the life of me get the pencil on my sketchbook, and ended up handing in my assignments late because I couldn’t for the life of me get through whatever artistic block I was struck in.
That leads me to now- artist block and writers block varies from person to person. Sometimes mental health issues like depression or anxiety causes people to avoid writing (or drawing etc.) - and sometimes make it physically impossible get anything done. If you know that this is one of the main factors in keeping you from doing what you want to do, please talk to someone! Seek help from someone you trust, whether it be a friend, your family, or even a doctor!
Now, if there’s more to your story (pun fully intended) and somehow you’re finding yourself stuck in the middle of a scene or a random dialogue, or terrified to write very beginning of your piece, I’ve got a few tips and tricks I use to bust through the mental wall and create some kick-ass products!
Let’s do this!
Tumblr media
Let’s Start at the Beginning, shall we?
So, before you’ve even started anything. Let’s say your given a task or you have the itch to write- you know the one where your hands are BEGGING you to type something, or write something, but you just....can’t?
Happens to me all the freaking time. Here’s what I do:
If I sit down somewhere to type or write and my mind is like a huge bowl of pudding, I move my booty.
Sometimes changing your work space, or even the physical location of your body can clear up some of the gunk in your brain.
Instead of sitting in your bed (like I usually do) move to your desk, take a notebook outside on your porch, sit on the couch (with the TV turned off), go to your local library or bookstore, become a hermit in a cafe somewhere- you’d be surprised at how well this works!
Skim through some of your favorite books for inspiration
This gets your brain moving in a “writers” kind-of way!
I like to flip through my Maggie Stiefvater books and read random scenes, or (my favorite) read some poetry (My go-to being “Our Numbered Days” by Neil Hilborn)
Check out some art or fanart from your favorite fandoms or artists!
Now, don’t let this be your excuse to procrastinate and get stuck on tumblr for hours on end (*cough cough* @me)
The key here is to yes, scroll through tumblr artists, instagram drawings, or even your favorite art book, BUT while doing this, let your mind wander. Imagine your own scenes or scenarios in your head while you do so-you’d be surprised how easy it is to clear the clutter in your head when you let yourself zone out and relax!
Now, the ugly sorta trick that I do sometimes (even though it’s gonna sound awful).
Just do it. *Insert Shia LaBeouf*
Put your hand to the paper, put your fingers on the keys, turn on your audio recording device and just bullshit something.
If I’m sitting at my computer with severe mental block about a scene I’m writing, and I can’t seem to break the funk, I just start typing something. Alot of the time it’s a “what would happen if...” and I write it. Usually it begins like a rusty machine, rough and crappy, but once you get your fingers moving and your thoughts begin to just lay themselves down on the paper or on the screen, most of the time your good to go and the mental block is gonzo!
White Space Anxiety
Whatchu talking about, Sabrina? Wellllll have you ever got a new notebook and you just, cant wait to start writing something in it, but suddenly nothing seems worthy to be written down? Have you ever opened a new word or google docs document and suddenly your fingers forgot how to word?
Lots of peeps, (me included) suffer from this type of writer’s anxiety and it prevents us from actually writing anything- total writer’s block!
Whelp let me help with what I’ve found that works:
Skip the first page!
If you got yourself a fancy new leather bound, engraved, blessed journal, or a fresh new staple’s notebook with the fancy cloth cover, just flip past the first page (the one where a bookplate or “title page” would go-) and start from page 2 or on.(If you’re super desperate like me, start five or six pages in!) By doing so, you’re tricking your brain that you’ve already written in said journal and most of the anxiety about making things “perfect” go away!
If your typing on a document, turn the font to like, a hundred!
I sometimes do this if I feel I keep focusing on the quantity of words I’m able to pump out on the first page, rather than what I should be writing.
By super pumping up that font size, you’ll fill the first few pages faster and almost immediately, and the happy hormones in your brain are gonna be like, “yes! you’re writing, good job-keep going!”
Once you’ve written like six or seven pages (maybe more depending if you went for the 150 pt font) reset the size back to normal when you feel like stopping or you feel like you’re on a roll, and voila! You’re on your way to a productive (and self-satisfying) day!
Okay, now that you’ve gotten at least something written and you find yourself in the middle of an idea or scene and suddenly ... dun dun dun You’re mind is drawing a blank. Writer’s block has fully set itself inside your noggin right in the middle of all your hard work, what do you do now!?
Tumblr media
Writer’s Block Right in the Dang Middle
It sucks, and it happens.
Sometimes if you’ve been working a lot, and you’re not realizing how exhausted your mind actually is - it can feel like it turns off sometimes.
If you don’t have a strict deadline, and you’ve gotten a bunch done, sometimes taking a break is what you need. It sucks, because I know how much you want to write, but your mental health comes first and you deserve a break too!
Whether you just take a walk, or go grab some wine or juice, give your brain a break!
Do something other than writing- go stimulate other parts of your brain, come back, and see the difference!
Along the same line, if you do indeed have a deadline sneaking up on you and you’ve got yourself a bunch more to do but get stuck, try these things:
Take a short break.
Short meaning don’t spend hours and the rest of your day/night trolling through the internet or lose yourself neck deep in conspiracy theories on YouTube (I feel personally attacked here)
Save your work, get up from your spot, and leave the room if possible.
Leaving your room and physically moving your body, gets your blood pumping again and wakes you up subconsciously and that alone can help!
Drink water. H2O. Agua.
Sometimes, after I’ve been typing for what feels like forever, I don’t realize how much time passes, and suddenly realizes it’s been four hours and I haven’t had anything to eat/drink.
It’s easy to get dehydrated and as living beings on this place called Earth, we need water. Sometimes drinking a big glass of ice-cold refreshing water is just what your body needs to do its job! (Did I make you thirst? Good, drink some water! Take care of yourself!)
If you’re in the middle of a scene and can’t physically put into words what happens next:
Skip the scene!
Don’t stress yourself too badly on it if it’s not coming to you naturally. Move on to the next part in your piece, and start with a fresh idea! (You can always go back after, and finish/include the part you skipped!)
Re-read the last couple paragraphs you’ve written, and change up the last couple sentences (sometimes even paragraphs). Completely re-write them, or get rid of em!
Sometimes a writer’s block in the middle of the scene can quite possibly be your own novel or piece’s way of telling you that you’ve dug yourself into a little bit of a ditch and now you have to climb out of it. Meaning the way you’ve ended things in the previous sentences, don’t allow for a good, fluid transition into the next part of the scene.
Totally re-write the scene or idea that your working on!
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve deleted entire pages of crap that I could not continue to write, because I kept getting stuck.
Sometimes after fleshing out a scene or idea so perfectly, things become stale and unable to be continued simply because there’s something, some element or transitioning, just doesn’t work. Taking a great big hypothetical rubber eraser and getting rid of everything might just be the way to go!
More simple things to do if you find yourself with a writer’s block in the middle of your piece
Plan out what you’re going to write.
If you’re a ‘pantser’ (someone who writes without any, or very minimal planning beforehand) sometimes you need to plan your next moves - not only will it allow you to better flesh out your plot, but it can show you possible plot holes that you’re stuck in at the moment. It can also give you a very specific direction to move in if you know what happens next.
Change the music you’re listening to/ put on some tunes if your not!
Google “inspirational quotes for writers” ... trust me on this one.
Go make some food... and then come back quickly after!
*Make sure it isn’t a super carb-heavy or thick’ food- you don’t wanna be sleepy afterwards!
And along with the previous point-brew some coffee or tea!
Curse. Heavily. Outloud.
Of course this all depends where you’re located.
And if you can’t curse, or don’t like to, sing loudly to yourself or yell random things out loud!
Ideas include: “Let it go, LET IT GO...” “I will write this fudgning piece of doo doo even if it kills me! You got this, you lovely, talented writer, JUST DO IT.”
In conclusion to this super long, probably-never-will-be-read-post- writer’s block happens, and it is something that can be overcome if you allow yourself to try something different!
Holy guacamole that was a long one- sorry about that.
Anything I’m missing? What have you tried that has actually worked? Let me know!

▬▬▬▬▬▬
Jungkook had a strong urge to yell at his father to piss off and stop intruding with his life (just like any other kid on their rebellious phase) but he really did not want to irritate the man who provide him with food and daily pocket money. Especially not when Jungkook was dying to get himself the latest video game so he could lock himself in his room and boast to his friends how he managed to finish the entire game in one seating.
He entered the café through the backdoor, greeting Somin who was on a break and nodded his head to Yien.
The smell of coffee wafted in the air, making him scrunched his nose delightfully as he took the nearest seat at the counter. While initially he hated the idea of him staying until closing time, he figured he might as well do something productive while he was at it.
In Jungkook’s dictionary, however, productive meant filling his sketchbooks (and textbooks) with doodles and sketches of random things and people.
His father was away for a business meeting and he was given the job to lock the café. He could have lied and given the keys to one of the workers but his dearest father had specifically assigned him to the task. Mingyu once suggested that his father was probably having high hopes that Jungkook would have taken the family business and Jungkook thought it was a crazy idea, but it seemed to make more sense now although Jungkook made it crystal clear that he wanted nothing to do with the café.
Breathing in the scent of coffee, he flipped open his sketchbook and took out a mechanical pencil from the pocket of his hoodie. His mind was as blank as the page of his book, and when the lead touched the paper, he began scrawling and doodling whatever he could. Sometimes he would draw people, at times he would draw animals. Half of his sketchbook was filled with drawings of people; they did not serve him as an inspiration, but rather something for him to work on.
He was not searching for perfection, but just a proof that he could bring an image of them to life.
Jungkook was drawing Minghao from memory – which he totally sucked at (and now Minghao looked like he got ran over by a lorry) – when he felt a presence in front of him. He looked up to find Jimin was smiling at him, small hands gently pushing the ceramic cup towards Jungkook.
Jimin was one of the new workers his father hired recently, the only one in the café he was unfamiliar with and he absolutely had no intention to, as Jimin had bright pink hair that grab everyone’s attention. He swore even trees would turn to look at him if he passed by one.
“Hey. Jungkook, right?” he asked, beaming as if he ate light bulbs for breakfast.
Too bright for Jungkook’s liking.
“Yeah,” he answered, drawing lines on Minghao’s hair.
“Somin told me to make this for you. She said it’s your favourite.”
Jungkook casted a glance at the ceramic cup which was filled with whipped cream drizzled with melted Nutella and topped with tiny marshmallows along with chocolate pocky sticks. Hot chocolate, just for Jungkook, just the way Jeon Jungkook likes it.
“You made it…?” he questioned, sounding sceptical.
The regular hot chocolates were different than Jeon Jungkook’s Hot Chocolate. Unlike the Regular Hot Chocolates for Basic People, Jungkook’s had extra whip cream, extra melted Nutella, extra tiny marshmallows and extra chocolate pocky sticks because he was that extra.
(And also because he was the boss’ son, and he liked all the workers who tried to kiss his ass and pamper him around.)
The bubble gum-haired man nodded, smiling once again.
“Don’t worry, it’s as good as Somin’s. She’s the one who taught me after all.”
“Okay…”
“Alright then, I’ll leave you to your work. You’re taking the university entrance exam this year, yeah? Good luck!” Jimin grinned once again, this time pumping his fist in the air before ruffling Jungkook’s hair and proceeded to work.
Jungkook muttered in annoyance under his breath, fixing his tousled hair.
Jimin was lying when he said it was as good as Somin’s because somehow, it tasted better. Not as sweet as Somin made and Somin’s always extra sweet when she made things.
It only dawned to him that the café was closing down when he heard Yien shouting a ‘bye!’ from the kitchen, exiting through the backdoor. Jungkook groaned, sitting up straight to crack the kink on his neck. He was slouching the whole time he was sketching and he was not proud of the final product. Not at all.
“I’m going home, Kook. Jimin’s still here so don’t lock him in, okay?” Somin sing-songed, patting Jungkook’s shoulder as she passed by. “Bye!” she chirped, waving a hand while the other pushed open the glass door.
“Bye.”
Just as he was about to pack his stuff, he turned to find Jimin was working on something behind the counter by the blender. He let out a sigh, wishing for the young barista to hurry up. From how concentrated Jimin was, Jungkook figured it would take him some time before he could close up the café.
The café was empty except for the two of them. All the tables were cleaned and chairs slotted perfectly on top of them. He was suddenly itching to sketch the empty place. The lights outside were still on, and the book shop across of them still had a few customers inside as they closed an hour later than them.
Jungkook sighed as he scratched his head, not knowing the right words to say to Jimin. He racked his brains to find polite version of ‘hurry the fuck up’ but instead, the only thing he could say was “Uhh…” making him sound like an idiot.
Finally, after struggling internally, he murmured, “Excuse me… but we’re closed now, just so you know.”
“Sorry,” Jimin giggled. He had his back turned to Jungkook, making it difficult for the boss’ son to see what he was up to. “I’m trying this new recipe and thought it’ll be great.”
‘What does that have to do with me?’
“And since Mr. Jeon isn’t here, I think you should try it.”
“Maybe some other—”
“And it’s done!”
Jimin turned to him with a huge grin, wiggling his eyebrows as he presented Jungkook a pink cupcake on a plate, frosted with swirly cream cheese and topped with rainbow sprinkles. Jungkook did not have the heart to tell Jimin that he did not trust any food that had the colour pink in it, specifically because it looked as if it was puked by unicorns and it was just plain weird.
“What do you think? Beautiful, isn’t it?”
“Uh…”
“Cmon, give it a bite! You’ll like it.”
By then, Jimin had taken a seat in front of him, hands on his chin. Jungkook’s plan was to get the hell away from there as fast as his legs could. However, Jimin’s sparkling eyes caged him to stay seated and reluctantly, he reached out for the plate. Jimin batted his eyelashes excitedly, his big smile stretching to his pierced ears.
Jungkook gave him a fake smile, silently praying that he would still live after taking a bite. The cupcake looked wonderful, too wonderful to be true and sometimes, certain things that looked wonderful tend to have bad effects. Like that one game he downloaded last week for example. The previews looked neat, but turned out it was a ripped off of Candy Crush.
After a few moments of hesitating and cursing his father inside his head, he took a small bite and —
“How was it?”
— he took another bite again and again and again.
“Holy shit.” His eyes were wide open, gawking at the half-eaten cupcake.
“What what what?” Jimin bugged, eyes as wide as Jungkook’s as his feet tapped repeatedly on the floor. “Is it bad? Oh god, I knew I shouldn’t have—”
“No, no. This…” Jungkook swallowed. Oh god. “This is good. Jimin, this is the best thing I’ve had today. No, all week!”
A faint pinkness dusted his cheeks, tips of his ears burning red as he grinned again. “You’re flattering me.”
One bite later, Jungkook was only left with the paper cup and pink crumbs. He let out a sigh of content. “That was good.”
“You have something…” Jimin murmured, reaching forward to grab hold of his chin.
Startled, Jungkook stayed frozen in his seat, unable to move with Jimin’s eyes staring intensely at him. Jimin wiped the corner of his lip gently before backing away to his seat and licked the cheese cream clean from his finger.
Jungkook tried to suffocate a flush that was trying to creep on his cheekbones and snorted. “Could’ve just told me, could you.”
Jimin smiled again, this time it reached his eyes, making them curve like half-moons. “Wouldn’t wanna waste it.”
“Freak,” Jungkook muttered under his breath, looking away and pretended to be busy packing his stuff. “I gotta close down the café. Hurry up, will you? I have school tomorrow.”
  ♡
“Are you saying that, that guy over there,” Khunpimook said, jerking his head towards Jimin’s direction, “Super cute uni guy, flirts with you?”
“Shh, not so loud!” Jungkook gritted his teeth, hitting Khunpimook on his arm.
Khunpimook winced in pain, rubbing on the sore spot whereas Mingyu only let out a chuckle at his friends’ antics. Seokmin came to their table after getting his orders and sighed dreamily, “Jimin is so cute.”
“What,” Jungkook deadpanned.
Mingyu snorted.
Khunpimook sardonically grinned. “Oi, bros don’t steal bros’ hoes.”
“He’s not my hoe. He’s not a hoe!”
“Nobody said anything about him being your hoe, you hoe,” Khunpimook shot back.
“Ooooh,” Seokmin wiggled his eyebrows, giving Jungkook the creepiest smile he had ever witnessed in his eighteen years of living. “Somebody has a crush~”
“That all make sense now! No wonder you’re eager to come here today!” Mingyu clapped his hands together. The others on the table gasped dramatically before smiling creepily at Jungkook.
A humiliated blush climbed up his neck and face, and as he opened his mouth to defend himself, Jimin came towards their table to serve Seokmin his latte.
“Latte for Handsome Guy?”
“That’s me,” Seokmin beamed proudly. “Thanks, Jimin.”
“More like handsome horse,” Mingyu snickered, earning a high five from Khunpimook.
Jungkook gagged internally at how cheesy Seokmin was being. And he gagged even more when Jimin smiled at him, as if he was enjoying all the attention Seokmin was giving him. Mingyu nudged on Jungkook lightly, just as he usually did whenever Jungkook had a crush on someone but it was unnecessary this time because Jungkook totally did not have a crush on Jimin.
No way.
He did not realise he was staring at Jimin until Jimin looked up to him and smiled. The same smile he had given to Seokmin. “Hi, Kookie.”
Khunpimook whipped his head to Jungkook in a speed of lighting, nose flaring and mouth wide open at the nickname Jimin was calling him. Jungkook had to pretend he did not see the ridiculous face Khunpimook was making, afraid that his dumb reaction would have implanted funny ideas inside Jimin’s head. Mingyu, on the other hand, snorted while Seokmin took a sip from his straw as he wiggled his eyebrows.
Jungkook faked a cough to hide his momentary loss of rationality, not looking at Jimin when he replied, “Hey.”
Jimin smiled again before walking back to the counter and as soon as he went away, the boys started to nudge Jungkook and teased him for his red face like the great friends they were.
“Somebody’s in love!” Khunpimook whispered, although Jungkook was certain the elephants in India could have heard him because Khunpimook was not given the ability to lower the volume of his annoying voice.
“Sorry, bro. I will give him up for you,” Seokmin said earnestly with a hand on his chest.
Mingyu chuckled rather loudly. In fact, it was so loud that the couple two seats away from them turned with concerned expressions on their faces.
“Give— give up? What are you talking about?” Jungkook exclaimed, flustered.
“Shut up, Kookie,” Mingyu interjected, imitating Jimin horribly by raising his voice an octave higher and prod his arm with his finger. “We all know what Seokmin’s talking about.”
“Yeah, now I just have to inform the others in the group…” Khunpimook muttered, fingers vigorously typing on the keypad of his phone.
“Oi, OI! DON’T YOU DARE—”
  ♡
“You seem to be enjoying drawing a lot.”
“Hm?” Jungkook flushed, instantly covering the book with his arms. It was completely useless though, as Jimin had seen his horrid drawings of muscle bunny.
He was sitting in front of Jungkook with his chin resting on one hand, head tilted slightly as he smiled. “Are you applying for art when you’re entering Uni? You’re good at it. Although… I couldn’t really tell what sort of creature that was.”
“It’s Cooky,” he muttered, face scarlet with embarrassment.
The only people who had seen his drawings were his circle of friends and like the jerks they were, they made fun of it. Not that Jungkook really minded, it was not as if he was doing it seriously.
“Cooky…?”
He caught onto his confusion quickly and added, “He has a face of a rabbit and human body.”
Jungkook begged his mouth to stop betraying him. If his friends would not understand what Cooky was, how would Jimin? It was only the third time they ever talked, and they were not on that level of friendship yet (honestly, Jungkook did not want to be friends with Jimin) ((He wanted to be more, but Jungkook did not know that yet)), so why did he felt a little bit excited to talk about his child to Jimin?
Jungkook looked down on his art before closing the book.
A hint of smile glinted at Jimin’s lips, almost as if he found Jungkook to be endearing.
“And no, I’m not going to take art. Father would want me to take business. He knew I hated science.”
“Hm.” Jimin exhaled loudly through his nose, changing his other hand for him to rest his chin on. “Why would you want to take business? No offence to Mr. Jeon, but he’s not the one who’s going to study at the university, isn’t he?”
Jungkook twisted his lips to the sides a bit and slouched. “Father was right… art’s not going to bring me anywhere. Not here, anyway.”
Jimin smiled fondly and Jungkook hated the way he wore the smile on his face. It made his insides turn and his heart beat accelerating painfully as if he was running a marathon. He did not like how hard his heart pounded, how his mind blanked out when Jimin did that.
“You’re wrong. Your father’s wrong too.”
Jungkook was taken aback by his blunt statement, but made nothing to interrupt him.
“You love drawing and I can see that you’re good at it. If you really enjoy it, I think you should go for it. Perhaps you could take it as your minor subject,” Jimin suggested. “Besides, you can earn money by drawing too, you know. My friend’s a webcomic artist, I could ask her for help if you’d like.”
“Really?” He could not contain the excitement in his voice, only for the small light of hope he was holding to disappear completely in the darkness when it dawned to him that he had no time to be horsing around. “That’s nice of you, but I have exams to think about.”
“Yeah, and yet here you are, drawing half-man half-bunny and me.”
Jungkook’s eyes widened in surprise as he took a sharp intake of breath. After screaming internally, he asked with a shock, “W-what? L-look, no, it’s not—”
Jungkook’s face was as red as the apron he was wearing, trying his hardest to explain but he could only sputter indignantly which gave Jimin a spark of satisfaction as he smirked.
Seeing Jimin sardonically grin made him took a deep breath and berated himself to stop vomiting whatever words he could find inside his brain. Two deep breaths later, he managed to calm himself though his cheeks were still tainted red.
“Don’t get the wrong idea, okay. I drew everyone,” Jungkook explained, ears burned hot. His eyes skipped around the room; everywhere but not Jimin’s eyes. “I tend to draw anyone on my line of sight when I’m bored.”
“Does that mean I should get out of your line of sight then?”
Jungkook sighed exasperatedly, his cheeks turned a darker shade of red.
“I’m just kidding, Kookie. You’re so easily flustered,” Jimin giggled, getting up from his chair. “I was flattered for nothing then…” his voice drowned into a whisper, but Jungkook managed to hear it loud and clear.
“What was that?”
“Nothing,” he chirped. “Let’s go then. It’s almost eleven.”
  ♡
The one-week Jungkook’s father had been gone, Jungkook learnt a lot of things.
Things like the courses Jimin took in Uni. (He was a math major while his minor was chemistry. Screams hell to Jungkook, to be honest.)
Things like how Jimin preferred strawberry over chocolate. (Jungkook found himself craving for the strawberry cupcake one night he was sketching comic panels about Cooky and Jimin happened to be making a batch on the next day.)
Things like how Jimin’s eyes crinkled at the corner when he smiled. (It was the most beautiful thing Jungkook had ever seen.)
He did not mind closing up late if it meant he could spend a little bit more time with Jimin. Being five minutes alone with Jimin would already sufficed. His sketchbooks were filled with pink colours, all which belonged to Jimin’s hair. He was extra careful when drawing Jimin now, often turning onto the next page to pretend he was sketching Cooky whenever Jimin was nearby. Jimin always gave him The Smile as if he knew what Jungkook was hiding.
A part of him hated how easily Jimin made him open himself up. Jungkook was shy to begin with, although he appeared to be stoic during first meetings, but he found himself telling his ideas to Jimin and Jimin was always supporting and assuring Jungkook his ideas mattered. His heart always felt full when Jimin praised him.
Instead of laughing to his face about how ridiculous his ideas of Cooky was, Jimin only smiled endearingly and asked if he could see more sketches of Cooky.
And when Jungkook lied on his bed in the middle of the night, eyes wide awake as he stared at the ceiling and head filled with images of Jimin smiling like the pink-haired angel he was, this was the exact moment when Jungkook realised.
‘Shit, I’m in love.’
  ♡
   “You’re in WHAT?”
“Quiet!” Jungkook hissed, slapping the back of Yugyeom’s neck.
“Son of a bitch, it hurts!” Yugyeom whined, rubbing the wounded area before punching Jungkook on his arm.
“That’s what you get for being loud!”
Yugyeom rolled his eyes in annoyance and winced. “Motherfucker,” he muttered under his breath. He glanced at Jungkook before grinning and nudging his best friend playfully. “So, it was true, huh? What Khunpimook said in the group?”
“That was not true. Jimin was certainly not my—”
“You and Seokmin should fight to the death for Jimin’s honour.”
“Kim Yugyeom,” Jungkook sighed, stopping to place a hand on Yugyeom’s shoulder dramatically. “You’re a fucking idiot.”
Yugyeom shrugged his hand off his shoulder. “What do you plan to do then? Just watch him creepily from afar like the King of Creep Land you are?”
“I don’t know,” Jungkook whispered in defeat. “What do people do with their feelings? Puke their feelings out and flush them down the toilets?”
“If it was that easy, Mingyu would have been over Jeonghan now,” Yugyeom murmured.
“Unhelpful, Kim Yugyeom.”
“As if you have better ideas.”
“I think… I think I actually do.”
Jungkook had never spent so much time and effort doing something before in his whole life. The pocket money he received from his father was spent on high quality pens now rather than the video game he was dreading to play.
Each stroke was perfectly thought of, and he was careful when choosing the colours.
It might seem stupid but he thought it will be worth it.
It had to be.
   ♡
Jimin’s shift started a little later after six as his class ended around five. He greeted their regulars with the same smile and enthusiasm, and occasionally he glanced to the seat near to the counter to find it was empty. It had been days since Mr. Jeon arrived from his trip which meant it was unnecessary for Jungkook to be there as he was not in charge with closing down the café anymore.
Still, Jimin hoped Jungkook would stop by to say hi. Sometimes he would come by during lunch with his funny group of friends, but Jimin would be in Uni then. He gathered this information from Somin, who was more than glad to share anything Jungkook related to Jimin. He could not stand the teasing, but Somin might be right on this: he did like Jungkook.
(“He’s a kid, Somin,” Jimin protested with a pout.
“He’s eighteen, Jimin,” Somin countered back with an eyeroll. “Besides, he’ll be your junior in Uni next year.”
“That’s not the point.”
“Yeah? Then give my boy some love. I think he likes you too.”
“Somin!”)
Jimin turned red at the memory of Somin insisting that Jungkook liked him too. At the start, Jimin just wanted to be on the boss’ son good side but their little talks got a little bit more interesting as time passed by and Jungkook always made him smile more than he was supposed to. He loved Jungkook’s creativity, how he wanted to make another world of half-men and half-bunnies and he absolutely, terribly, deeply in love with how concentrated and serious Jungkook was when it comes to drawing.
Jimin was brought back to reality when he heard a familiar yet small “hi”. He turned to find Jungkook was in front of him, hands fiddling with what seemed like a new sketchbook. He would be lying if he said his world did not brighten up even the slightest.
(Because it did. Jungkook always made his day better.)
“Hey,” he said, a little too excited. He cleared his throat in an attempt to tone down his excitement and repeated, lowering his voice down a little, “Hey.”
“Uh, well, I-I’ll have the usual,” he stammered.
“Alright,” Jimin chirped. “Long time no see, Kookie.”
“I know, haha, I’ve been so busy.”
Jimin raised an eyebrow. “Can’t drop by to say hi?”
For some unexplainable reason, Jungkook choked on air and struggled to let the words out of his mouth. Jimin chuckled, shaking his head at how flustered Jungkook became. “You know I was joking, right. You’re busy, I get it. I’ll get you your drink in a sec.”
“Thanks,” Jungkook murmured.
Just as he grabbed the ceramic cup, Somin came to poke Jimin on his side and squealed. “So, what did he say? Did he say he love your eyes or your beautiful smile? I always knew Jungkook was a romantic! That boy may look like a stone, but he’s cheesier than cheese. If that makes any sense.”
Jimin rolled his eyes, huffing. “No. He just came by to draw again, I think.”
“Draw you, you meant?”
“It was only one time, Somin. He only drew me once, I’m pretty sure he draws you too.”
“He does, actually. He draws everyone. I think that’s just creepy,” Somin shrugged.
“Nah, it’s cute.”
“Love makes us blind,” Somin sighed dramatically.
“I’m not—”
Somin cut his sentence of with feign enthusiastic “Talk to you later!” as she skipped to the register to take a customer’s order.
When Jimin brought Jungkook’s hot chocolate to him, the boy appeared restless. His foot was tapping vehemently while he was staring intensely on the cover of the notebook. He almost jumped in surprise when Jimin placed his drink on his table, making Jimin almost felt sorry for startling him like that.
“Here you go.”
“Thanks, uh, Jimin?”
“Yeah?”
Jungkook glanced at the wall clock and murmured, “I… I wanna talk to you.”
Jimin was bewildered at Jungkook’s sudden change of behaviour. It was always Jimin who approached Jungkook first, who struggled to make a conversation because Jungkook always replied with a word or two. He was elated that it was Jungkook who wanted to interact this time.
“Sure,” Jimin conceded, glimpsing on his wrist watch. Ten minutes until closing time. “Ten minutes, alright? I gotta work.”
“Okay.”
It was the longest ten minutes of Park Jimin’s life.
He was excited and scared at the same time of what to come. From his observation (aka stealing glimpses of Jungkook through the break room’s window), Jungkook was only drinking his hot chocolate rather than drawing. He seemed to be staring at the clock a lot too.
“Shit, shit, shit,” Jimin muttered to himself, excitement surging through his veins when it was only one more minute until ten.
What was Jungkook going to say? He could not come up with a reason to assure himself that it was nothing serious but from Jungkook’s nervous expression, Jimin’s head can only conjure the worst-case scenarios possible.
What if Jungkook chose to drop out of college because of Jimin’s talk? He knew he should have kept his mouth shut. Now, he was going to get fired for causing the drop out of Mr. Jeon’s son and he would have to find another part time job.
Or what if it was even more serious than dropping out? Maybe Jungkook wanted to run away to become a cartoonist and wanted Jimin’s help to find somewhere to live.
Or what if Jungkook had a terminal illness —
His freaking out session was interrupted when his watch gave a little noise, signalling it was already ten. He glimpsed through the window to see Jungkook was still there.
“Oh my god,” he whispered to himself. “I’m going to ruin his and my life.”
“What the fuck are you muttering to yourself about?” Chanyeol interjected.
“Nothing,” Jimin answered, a little too quick that it raised suspicion and Chanyeol’s eyebrow. Chanyeol focused his gaze to where Jimin was staring and his lips quirked into a smile.
“Ooh, I see now. Go get it, lover boy.”
“Shut the fuck up, no one’s getting anything tonight.”
“Well, I do. I’m gonna get fucking la—”
“I don’t wanna know.”
   Anxious? Totally.
Scared? To the very.
While Jimin preferred for them to be talking alone, he felt relief that there were still customers around.
With shaky fingers, he pulled the chair and sat in front of Jungkook. “Hey.”
“H-hey.”
Jimin cleared his throat, shifting in his chair and hoped his nervousness was not evident when he said, “So… what do you wanna talk about?”
Jungkook sniffed, staring at his fingernails when he spoke.
“As you know, I’m terribly bad at expressing myself with words.”
Oh my god.
“So, I hope this would be enough,” Jungkook murmured, sliding the sketchbook to Jimin.
Jimin scrunched his eyebrows in confusion, slowly looking up to Jungkook only for to Jungkook look away when their eyes met. The cover of the sketchbook was dark blue, different from the usual black one Jungkook brought.
He was hesitant at first and when he turned to the first page, the worries dissipated into thin air.
Jimin’s eyes grew bigger, fingertips grazing lightly against the paper. On top of the page was written ‘First Night’ with a date written in smaller size underneath it. Jimin did not know what it was at first until his eyes travelled south to see four comic panels drawn by Jungkook.
The first panel was a drawing of the first hot chocolate Jimin made him. The text box next to it read:
Tumblr media
Jimin snickered, not daring to look up to Jungkook. The next panel was a drawing of the strawberry cupcake Jimin made for him with a lot of tiny little red hearts surrounding it. Jimin could not help but cracked a smile at the adorable drawing.
He moved to the next panel which had a drawing of both of them sitting on the table. Jimin took his time admiring it, he knew Jungkook spent a lot of time trying to perfect it. He captured the colour of Jimin’s hair perfectly, although he exaggerated a little by drawing sparkles and flowers next to Jimin’s face.
Tumblr media
Jimin could feel his cheeks heating up when he read it. He was not sure how he could look up to Jungkook now. In his defence, Jimin did not flirt, never did anyways, not to Jungkook. “That incident” Jungkook was referring to had to be that time Jimin wiped the frosting off Jungkook’s lip – he swore it was accidental, that it was just his reflex. He had no idea it had such an effect on Jungkook.
The last panel had a sketch of Jimin smiling. It made Jimin’s heart all warm and as Taylor Swift said it, all he felt “in his stomach was butterflies”.
Tumblr media
His finger lingered on the drawing of him longer than it should and just as he was about to look up to Jungkook to say a few words, Jungkook panicked. “That’s not the end! Turn! Turn to the next page… please…” his voice drowned into a whisper and he coughed to mask his embarrassment.
Jimin could feel his heart on his throat and jaw dropped in amazement when he revealed the next page. The top panel was a drawing of Jungkook being flustered with two think bubbles drawn on top of his head. The first think bubble had a doodle of small building labelled ‘uni’ while the next think bubble had a doodle of pencil.
Tumblr media
Jimin was smiling so much that it began to hurt but he did not care.
The bottom panel was much bigger than any of the panels Jungkook created. It was a drawing of Jimin’s backside view. This had to be Jimin’s favourite because of the radiant colours and little glitters Jungkook added to the pages; it was different than the others as this one had longer texts on the text box situated on the left corner of the panel.

“Wow… Kookie… I…” Jimin murmured, reading the words over and over again. He gulped and blinked to clear the mistiness from his eyes. To say he was touched would be understatement because the drawings were beautiful, the drawings of Jimin were wonderful and it dawned to him that this was how Jungkook saw him.
The next page had a doodle of Jungkook making a heart shape using his hands and the text below said:
Tumblr media
“Holy shit,” Jimin muttered, bewilderment was evident on his face. He looked at Jungkook, whose face was scarlet in embarrassment.
Jungkook had to force himself to look at Jimin straight into his eyes, determined to make Jimin know how sincere he was. Clearing his throat, he spoke. “I like you, Jimin.”
“J-Jungkook—”
“It’s okay if you can’t return my feelings. Just as a reminder, I am Mr. Jeon’s son, which meant I can come here whenever I please until you like me back—”
Jimin erupted into fits of giggles, his crescent eyes appearing as his body vibrated.
“— I’m serious,” Jungkook exclaimed with a pout, face turning even redder than before.
At this, his giggles turned into laughter. Jungkook pouted, crossing his arms together.
“Are you done?” Jungkook asked scathingly as he watched Jimin wiping a tear away from his eye.
“You don’t- you don’t have to make me like you just because you like me.”
Jungkook frowned.
“The feeling’s mutual, dummy.”
Jungkook’s mouth dropped to the floor. His brain chose to repeat Jimin’s sentence over and over again and when he finally registered it, he clamped his huge mouth shut. “Oh.”
“Mmhm.”
“Oh. Uh. Really?”
“Really.”
“You sure?”
“Yes.”
“I like like you. Are you sure you like like me too?” Jungkook asked slowly, emphasizing the like.
Jimin let out an exasperated sigh. “I do.”
“So…” Jungkook murmured, daring to look abashed as he scratched his nape. “Are we boyfriends now or…?”
Jimin giggled. “Sure, if that’s what you wanna call me.”
“You do know that means you’re mine right? Like, really mine. You can’t smile to Seokmin anymore, he always has the hots for you. No smiling at the customers either, that one regular was always eying you whenever she’s here. She’s so creepy, ugh—”
“As if you’re not staring at me either.”
“Oi.”
“I’m joking, chill!”
“What have I gotten myself into…” he sighed, staring helplessly at Jimin. Jimin only gave him a smile.
“Somin was right.”
“About what?”
“You’re cheesier than cheese.”
“What the fuck does that even mean…”
  ♡
“Damn it, I really wanna see what’s inside that book!” Somin grumbled, tiptoeing to peek at Jungkook and Jimin through the glass on the break room.
“You’re such a weirdo, Somin. I should’ve called the police,” Chanyeol muttered.
“Is it okay for us to stare at them like this?” Yoonji fretted.
“Shut u— LOOK AWAY LOOK AWAY THEY CAUGHT US STARING.”

Project Echo, Part 2: Chapter 10 (Rage)
Tumblr media
Part 2 Summary: A new enemy surfaces with a team of the Avengers’ greatest foes, hand-picked for their destruction. Meanwhile, Inessa’s pre-Hydra past begins to surface, casting doubt on where her loyalties truly lie.
Chapter 10: Rage
Grocery runs, like most jobs on the farm (those not done by the Menno Public High School 4-H Club) were assigned by drawing lots from a small bag. As a rule every Avenger bar none had to have their name inside to be selected for a random task (it was a poorly kept secret that Thor's nametag had been specially marked so as to avoid him ever being assigned kitchen duty again). Also part of the rules- no one could turn down the job they were assigned. The Avengers all had very strong personalities, and while tasks like mucking out the horse stalls may be "beneath" some of them (namely Tony), if excuses like that were permitted nothing would be done without at least three hours of arguing.
That rule inspired a great deal of tension when Bucky's name was drawn for kitchen duty- an assignment that included grocery shopping in-town. Everyone held their breath, waiting for Steve to start the fight. He'd promised to give Bucky a chance, but letting him off the farm? Steve watched his friend for a while. If he was going to try trusting him, he had to start somewhere. Besides, he had an idea, "Take Inessa with you."
"Are you sure that's the right move?" Sam was nervous, "We know Hydra's looking for her, dangling her out there like that might draw their attention."
Steve nodded, "She needs to be around other people. Besides, all of us have been to the mart- even Thor. The locals might not have figured out who we are just yet, but either way no one's brought Hydra down on us yet."
"I'll have JARVIS override any security cameras in the area, keep Loch Nessa and Bucky invisible." Tony offered. Steve nodded his thanks.
"I'm not comfortable with this," Clint spoke up, "Bucky and Nessa? She can't even be in the same room as him for ten minutes. She's not ready for something like this."
"Stop babying her," Steve regretted his little snap as soon as he said it. "I'm sorry," he rubbed his aching head, "I should have chosen better wording. Inessa needs to be pushed a bit, and this is a very controlled trip."
Banner offered a compromise, "What if one of us went with them as well? That way she's got someone she's comfortable with along as well?"
"She'll just hide behind them the whole time and not interact. No. Bucky and Inessa. Issue closed." Steve's motivation was simple enough, he just didn't feel like explaining it to the team- if there were three people, and one was concerned with Inessa the entire time, Bucky could easily slip away. Without the third person, he would have to keep a careful eye on her. Steve wasn't sure what he expected, there were no people in the town with any sort of connection to Hydra (according to JARVIS' analysis of the last census records), but he was certain someone like the Winter Soldier could find trouble anywhere.
"Pain killers are making you stupid," Bucky muttered. Steve wasn't the only one angry on the farm lately.
"Do we need to lock you in your get-along stall again?" Clint offered. The combined glares of Bucky and Steve were enough to make him hold up his hands in surrender (and he wasn't even convinced he was being sarcastic about it).
"Just quit bitching and get going. Keys and credit card are by the door." Steve gingerly walked away to begin his task of mucking out the stalls.
Thor caught up with him in the hall and grabbed his arm, "You will complete my task of cleaning the floors with Banner. Your injury should not be exposed to the excrement of steeds."
"No one switches jobs," Steve reminded him, pulling away.
The Asgardian wouldn't take 'no' for an answer, "Then I will assist you. The chore will be completed much quicker."
Banner called over from the living room, "I'll sweep, you can come back through and mop in an hour or so."
Steve grumbled, but he couldn't argue. He let Thor lead him outside. The Asgardian's true assignment for the day was to try and lift Steve's dark spirits- only he and James Barnes appeared to be at odds, and it was, as Tony said, "Killing the buzzard" (or something like that- truly Thor had not understood).
"Well that backfired," Sam grumbled, "sure he's giving Bucky some lead, but sending Inessa with him? That wasn't part of the plan."
Bucky was confused, "Plan? I thought the chores were assigned randomly?"
"This one isn't," Clint sighed, "we don't trust cooking to just anyone. The idea was you get to leave the farm, show Steve you're not a flight risk, and clear up some of this tension. No offense Bucky, but I really am not comfortable with you being alone in a confined space with Inessa. I know you wouldn't do anything to hurt her, but she doesn't."
"Give her the option," Sam suggested, "if she wants to try we let her go. If not, Bucky can go alone. Steve's only our leader in times of crisis, not in times of errands. Just because he says 'jump' doesn't mean we say 'how high'."
Natasha raised her eyebrows, "I'm surprised to hear you say that."
"Something's not right with Steve," Sam shrugged, "and it's not just your stint AWOL, Bucky. I'm loyal to the guy, but I'm no sheep."
Tony, who'd been amazingly silent in the corner of the room, spoke up, "I've got JARVIS keeping an eye on him. He'll be under discreet surveillance until that stick up his ass is gone and he's overflowing with patriotism and righteousness once again."
"You know you sound like a complete fucking idiot, right?" Bucky asked incredulously.
"I'm not so sure something isn't wrong with you too."
Bucky rolled his eyes and walked away, "I'll be ready to go in five. If Inessa's coming, have her meet me by the car."
"You'd better have an improved attitude by then or she's not going anywhere," Natasha snapped.
The door slammed behind Bucky as he left. "What the hell is wrong with those two?" Tony shook his head.
"Anyone else get the feeling their tempers are more... man-made than anything?" Clint glanced to Natasha and Sam who both nodded.
"I'll get JARVIS scanning for any frequencies being broadcast in the area. I made a 'paralyze' one, maybe someone else made a 'piss off' one." Tony tried to slip out of the room quickly.
"After you clean the bathrooms," Sam called out in a sing-song voice.
Tony cursed and a moment later they heard the sound of him stomping his way upstairs.
Bucky pulled a long sleeve plaid shirt on over his t-shirt to hide the metal arm. It was too warm outside for gloves, but he put one on the metal hand all the same. Perhaps if he locked it in position any curious onlookers would simply assume it was a fake hand. Wait- why the hell should he give a rat's ass what some inbred farmer from a Podunk corner of nowhere thought of his metal arm? He'd been walking this world for seventy years- not counting the twenty he spent in a cryo tube before Zola got his hands on him and began to play with Bucky's mind. He'd seen places these corn-fed idiots couldn't even dream of. He stomped out of the loft with no end to the list of things currently annoying him. Even the stairs found a way of pissing him off (creaky bastards).
As soon as the barn door slammed open Inessa jumped. She hid partly behind the tree on the far side of the car. It took all of her control to avoid jumping up into the blind Clint had setup high in the branches. His favorite place to sit and watch the farm. Even though it was too bright out, even though she knew it would cost her another night of hunting, Inessa opened a very small door to the Valley. She could see as if she were there, but it required much less concentration. The darkness swirling around Bucky's head, whispering in his ear, was more evident than it had been with Steve. It was getting stronger.
There were no nails this time to throw in front of Bucky, and Inessa couldn't stand to see whatever that creature was- let alone be near it. Nadya skulked in the shadows, ready to aid her mistress if called upon. Inessa reached into her pocket and opened a second door- this one through the Valley and into the kitchen where the steak knives were kept. She pulled back into the Valley, ready. When Bucky put his foot down next, she acted quickly and stabbed the blade into the heel of his foot. Bucky yelped and fell to one knee. Inessa pulled her hand from her pocket and cut all doors to the Valley. The knife she threw under the porch.
"What's wrong?" Sam called over from the barn doors. He started to come over.
Bucky pulled off his shoe and inspected the wound. "I'm fine!" he shouted back, "Rock in my shoe."
"Alright, have fun in town! And pick me up some lemons while you're there! I can't drink this instant lemon aid shit- it's unnatural."
He had his shoe back on before Sam finished speaking and tried his best to hide the limp as he walked over to the car. "Let's get going, it'll be alright," he spoke softly to Inessa behind the tree as he climbed into the driver's seat. Bucky's bad mood was abruptly lifted, though he was by no means fooled.
Slowly, haltingly, Inessa came around the vehicle and opened the door. Helping from afar was one thing- she could do that. But being so close to Bucky made her heart race and her stomach turn. He isn't taking me back there, she assured herself, they wouldn't let him. I'm more powerful now. Before he got me I could kill him if I had to. She was shaking slightly.
Once they reached the border of the farm and turned down the main road into town, Bucky pulled the car over. They were well out of sight of the farmhouse. He hit the automatic locks on the doors. No easy escape. "Inessa," he kept his voice level, even, "did you do that to me?" Sweat beaded on her forehead. She was beginning to feel the effects of her exercise and knew she couldn't open enough of a door into the Valley to send herself through. He was going to kill her. "Answer me, please."
She nodded, then flinched and grabbed her seatbelt- but no blow landed. Frightened, she risked a peek at his face. Bucky just looked tired. "Steve's foot?" she nodded again. "Something is wrong with us, right?" Inessa nodded again, risking a glance up to his face. How had he figured it out? "I thought so. Whatever it is- it feels like it stopped with the knife- and don't think I don't know what being stabbed in the foot feels like. You're going to explain to the others later today whatever it is you know. Steve's never been one to snap at other people like that when he's in a bad mood, and I'm not like that either. Even the Winter Soldier wasn't like that- but you remember. We have to figure out a way to make it stop that doesn't end with both of us lame, OK?"
Bucky waited for Inessa to acknowledge him before putting the car back in drive. She nodded once and eased her grip on the seatbelt. "You need to start trusting us," Bucky said as he drove, "I know that's hard for you. I know I'm a big part of that. They just want to help you, we all do. You don't have to keep secrets from us."
Inessa looked out the window again and curled up on the car seat. He was wrong. She had a lot of secrets that she had to keep from them. The Winter Soldier had made her forget who she was and what she had begun, but now that she was starting to remember, she knew she couldn't abandon her mission. Not again. Not for anything in the world, or anyone.
Sebastian Morris' Base - Location Unknown
Morris felt his minion's return. His quarters were sparse- a bed, a single table, a stool, and one large, ornate mirror. It was to this he went to receive the report. "Well? What kind of progress have you made?"
"The child has expelled me twice now. She can sense my presence. The Winter Soldier grows suspicious. We will be discovered soon." it spoke slowly in a whisper.
"So ease back!" Morris snapped, these creatures had no sense of tactics, "I do not need them ready by tomorrow, I need it done right! There is no opponent more suited for the Winter Soldier and Captain America than one another. If they take measures to defend themselves against you and your kind, the battle is already lost. You assured me you could have them rip one another to shreds- but on my timeline!"
"Understood, my lord, our sincere apologies. We will complete our mission as instructed."
"See that you do!" Morris wondered, not for the first time, if the Whisperers were plying their trade on him as well- they made his blood boil more than they did their victims. He grumbled and pulled out his cell phone. It rang only once before Albatross answered. "We are moving up the schedule, regrettably," he spoke before the assassin could. "You may begin reminding Natalia Romanova of your time together. There is far too much her handlers have made her forget."
Albatross chuckled, "Ah, so much time though. Where to begin?"
"I suggest you begin with the day you two met. The day you both stood before Johann Schmidt and Abraham Erskine and volunteered to test their super-soldier serum."

A big bang of “how to” stuff
Tumblr media
There I was again tonight forcing laughter faking smiles so I made up this long ass post for y'all!
So you a potato. Me a potato. World conquered by we potatoes. But potato need survival tips. So your bro potato help you out.
