Reverse Unpopular Opinion on X-Men: The Last Stand please :D

I knew you would go there. You had to.

So, let me say something nice about the film I loathe most out of this franchise:

It was very good that finally in the third film we actually got Kitty Pryde as a character and not just random-girl-going-through-a-wall. Elliot Page was an excellent casting choice and I know it became a meme and all, but I unironically love the way Kitty stopped Juggernaut for a second. The horrifying implications of Kitty clipping people into walls like glitching videogame characters. A+

The beginning is promising, with Jean's vast powers and poor bb!Warren growing wings, immediately met with hostility from his father. And oh, to have a Danger Room session that includes a Sentinel. Good start to a film! (Please know my first viewing was a triple feature, I was hyped up.) They gave us the Fastball Special with Colossus throwing Wolverine!!!

The angst level of the moment when Mystique loses her power is great. And I can't say anything else about that scene here. But overall I find cure-storylines fascinating, so it was nice the films tackled it. (We do have this wonderful heritage post on tumblr about "sorry Storm, you create weather, this girl kills people by accidentally touching them - this is not the same".) Also absolutely adore Logan's line that boils down to "if you wanna get the cure, go and get it, but do it the fuck for you and not because of a boy". Best friend.

Jean turns people into dust, very cool of her. Get that girl a snickers. And it is nice that all of that is remembered and the emotional consequence of the ending drips into The Wolverine. (I'm happy when Famke Janssen is employed.) Overall mutant powers in action - love it, here for it, always! Fry all the bitches, Storm:

Oh, right, this film gives us Moira MacTaggert, actual geneticist. Before she became a CIA agent in the films and we will not talk about the self-hating mutant she became in the comics. Played by Olivia Williams and I was interested in where that could have gone. Which doesn't count as complaining about wasted potential, it was a genuine last interesting post credit moment. Speaking of actresses in cool roles - honorary mention goes to Shohreh Aghdashloo as Kavita Rao. All the lady scientists, please!

Hmm... something nice... at least... Rogue was in it??? (looking at you, DoFP Theatrical Cut)

Ooh man there have been so many updates thank you so much they've all been delightful. I loved all of them but I was so busy for a bit I didn't have time to comment and let you know how much I loved them. Things have settled down now so now I can gush about your lovely fics! I'm stupidly excited for the next lessons chapter. I loved this latest one and I'm so excited for baby shenanigans 💗 💕. Sukuna is so fun in this chapter. His internal monologue was wonderful. He's so dramatic this man is like a feral cat that has decided the whole neighborhood is its territory now. He's got so many new friends (and little low stake enemies to casually mess with) it's great. Poor Yuuji, all Sukuna's new buddies are going to hear about every little mistake he makes for the foreseeable future huh. I am kinda on team steal the dogs haha Sukuna needs some little buddies to give him endless affection and companionship while his brat is away. That whole section had me smiling this damn menace (if the puppies are being kept outside with no supervision for most of the day Sukuna actually might be doing them a favor especially if the weather is harsh i know a rescue dog who refused to go outside for a long time after he was saved because he was traumatized. Said dog is doing fantastic now but he still only likes going out with his person. The puppies in this fic seem happy enough though so they're probably healthy but I still support them going to a home with someone who'll spend more time with them). That being said there'll also be a baby on the way so this might not be the best time for new pets. Sukuna finding new ways to keep his brats attention while he's away via text taunts is great. Listen he may be a bastard but it's so cute how much he wants to have Yuuji's attention. I am delighted with him. Suku waifu is great now everyone who hears it gets to take psychic damage and I get to laugh. Ahh Sukuna's fear of parenthood vs Yuuji's joy and optimism 😄 I love them. I love Yuuji choosing to be so supportive and figure out what was wrong. He was wonderful. Sukuna knowing Yuuji wants the baby and will love it unconditionally and that knowledge giving him strength made me so happy I can't wait for him to meet his baby. I hope the love hits him like a truck. I can't wait for Yuuji to get to hold the baby. He'll be such a good dad! I'm actually hoping the baby will have four arms like true form Sukuna. I want him to see a child just like him being loved and cared for. In an ideal world the little one would have many sorcerer aunties and uncles who would also love them right alongside their parents. Speaking of uncles I bet once Yuuji gets Choso he'd be totally willing to babysit for him so the couple could still go out and do fun stuff together. It was a delightful chapter. Thank you for writing and sharing with us!!

Sukuna getting bored and starts to interact with others because he just wants something to do XD So now he has friends and working with them to cause his havoc like the gremlin he is u_u He seems the type to just find people and bring out their worse just to see what would happen lol

Also he likes the brat's attention on him, because then they can be more and more in their horrible hatemance u 3 u have to make sure Yuuji is so annoyed with him after all! And the parenting thing was such a delight to explore! Glad you enjoyed that section as it was my favorite part to write!

Pokémon AU

Chase Brody

Rillaboom (can Gigantamax), Boltund, Goodra, Ursaring, Polteageist, Banette (has Banettite)

-His starter was Grookey, the little drummer monkey heard Chase absently drumming a rhythm while he was waiting for the bus to get to Hammerlocke and just hopped out of his Pokeball the professor had and over to him and picked him. Grookey nearly bit the Professor when she tried to take him from Chase because he wanted to stay. And they’ve been together ever since.

-Chase travels because it makes him happy to be exploring, to be training with his team. Grookey finding him was the start of Chase getting out of a funk he’d been in for some time and back to being on the right track. He’s a good fighter, not as skilled as someone who goes at it crazy hardcore every day as he’s in it for the fun mostly, not trying to really be the toughest Trainer like some are.

-Is actually thinking of becoming a Breeder after he gets all his badges, as he doesn’t really want to fight the league. Currently Chase is training for fighting Melony or Gordie depending on who has switched in to be the Leader.

-Would lose to little kids that ask him for battle in a heartbeat if he could, but Chase takes it easy on them and gives advice and tips he picked up. And comforts anyone that’s upset after.

-Team order is Rillaboom, Boltund, Goodra, Ursaring, Banette, Polteageist

-Has befriended Jirachi and Nihilego

-Do not under any circumstances upset or hurt a little kid around him, you thought Anti was bad, uh uh, you haven’t seen an angry Chase and no one wants to get their behind handed to them by a protective father.

-Chase takes things at a easy pace, looking around Galar and exploring at his and his ‘Mon’s leisure and taking in the little things most pass by in the rush to get the next badge. He takes a lot of photographs, videos and collects postcards of everywhere he visits.

-He’s the type to save as much as he can in case he needs things later, is very hoard minded as he doesn’t know when it might come in handy. So, this guy is the kind of Trainer to have a ton of Nuggets burning a hole in his pocket for when he’s in need of cash to buy supplies.

-Totally dotes on his ‘Mon, very openly affectionate with them and gives them treats after a battle. Which considering the energy they just burn actually balances out so Nurse Joy doesn’t give him any trouble.

-Has very good aim when he plays games like laser tag or frisbee with other trainers while their teams relax and play when he hangs out with them. Comes in handy for throwing Pokéballs accurately, he can even make curve balls hit. And he’s been trying out different tricks with a toy ball to see if he can copy it with a Pokéball if he can.

-His style is laid back, casual kind of clothing. Hoodies, t shirts and jackets, jeans, shirts, boots and gloves and his snapback cap. He isn’t ever seen without his cap, it was a gift from some people special to him and he thinks it’s his good luck charm.

-The nicknames for his Pokémon are: Rillaboom is Silver, Bolthund is Lucky, Ursaring is Lunar, Goodra is Daisy, Banette is Stitch and Polteageist is Lipton

-He encountered Lucky just after getting Silver who he named that due to him being attracted to the shiny coins as the two walked to get started looking around and bringing them to Chase. Lucky got his name because he was running as fast as he could from a dog catcher and just in time Chaae stopped him and asked what was going on. Lucky was wild and had wandered into town and caused a bit of ruckus by digging up flower beds. So, Chase asked how much the damage was, didn’t bat an eye as he got his wallet out and paid the man to give to the owners of the gardens and turned to Lucky, who’s tail was just wagging like mad and asked if he wanted to come with, the response of being jumped on and licked sent Chase laughing.

-How he met Daisy happened during the long trip through the Wild Area to get to Motostoke. Chase was taking his time to get used to being around so many Pokémon and enjoying the sights. He’d just ran from a too powerful Onyx that had been accidentally nicked by Silver’s Razor Leaf that they were training with, and tripped into a small field of flowers. And there curled up asleep was Daisy, she even had a flower between her antenna. Chase instantly took a picture of her and when the sound of the shutter woke her asked if she wanted to join.

-Meeting Lunar and Stitch was interesting as it happened at the same time. They aren’t native to Galar though with so many Trainers coming in from different regions it’s natural they’re finding more wild or released Mon from other Regions, as well as moves, that weren’t there before as they acclimate to the Wild Areas easily. But, Chase was actually talking with a Trainer he’d just beaten that was recently from Hoenn after going through Johto. They had an Egg but they didn’t really want to switch their team out and just abandoning it wasn’t something they were comfortable with either so as Chase had plenty of room still, he offered to take it.

-And at the same time they handed it over, the Trainer asked if he wouldn’t mind taking on another Mon. And they explained a Ghost Type was following them, their unofficial seventh member at the moment. They didn’t want to just let it run wild when it wouldn’t be a good idea. Chase wasn’t one to turn down an opportunity to help and agreed and a little Shuppet appeared out of thin air and gave Chaae the most hopeful look. All Stitch had wanted was a friend, and now he had more than he knew what to do with!

-Chase took good care of the Egg that turned out to be a Teddiursa who he named Lunar for the crescent moon marking, and he adored caring for the baby Pokémon. All of his team turned into doting siblings honestly and it was very sweet to watch. There was a lot of baby and family pictures taken during this time. Lunar adores his family and will do everything to keep them safe and happy.

-This time was when Chase decided he wanted to try to become a Breeder, taking care of Lunar and his Egg was something he adored doing and he wanted to do that more, and make sure the babies got to good Trainers who would love them as much as he loved his Pokémon.

-Lipton was a cute encoder. Chase was on his way to Ballonlea through Glimwood Tangle and had gotten turned around a lot since the forest was so dark for the most part. He decided to take a bit of a break before he tried again, at least the experience was good for the team. He got out his hackysack and started to play with it lightly and didn’t notice for a bit that a little curious Sinistea was creeping closer. When Chase accidentally threw the hackysack too far, it was caught and then tossed back. Chase laughed a little and the two started a game to see if they could always catch or throw it perfectly.

-Chaae then mentioned needing to get to town as he was reminded he had somewhere to be when he looked at his watch and Lipton led him down the right path, but didn’t want to leave and basically caught himself.

-How he met Jirachi that was a fun one. Jirachi is known to sleep for years at a time, but since Jirachi is a Psychic Type, it’s not unheard of for its mind to reach out to others during its rest. And that’s exactly what happened with Chase, they met in his dreams and Jirachi played with him a lot. The first thing that happened when they met physically was Chase getting knocked off his feet in a ecstatic hug by the wish granting Legendary.

-Nihilego is actually his unofficial seventh team member. He’s not even really sure how they, or she as despite not being genderendd doesn’t seem to mind being referred to with feminine pronouns but it depends on mood for this, met him as Chase just... woke up one morning to find Nihilego over his bed. He assumes from research it’s due to an Ultra Wormhole opening up sometime during the night. While at first wary of being attacked, Nihilego didn’t try to attach to Chase or any of the team. Instead, they just... followed Chase around almost like the child they resemble.

-Chase named them Galaxy because of the Star like pattern they have. And Galaxy stays invisible a lot of the time around other humans, causing mischief sometimes but all in all, they just behave more like a child than an alien Pokémon most of the time. Though that’s not to say they stay like that all the time, sometimes when angered or when she thinks Chase or her family is threatened Galaxy will lash out to protect them. Galaxy sleeps curled up with Chase and the others on the team in a big cuddle pile.

Finally! The next installment is done! XD I’m sorry it took so long to get this out, and that it turned out so long, but I had to figure out the right team and then the rest wrote itself almost. HEEEYYYY WHAT'S THIS?!?! I ACTUALLY DID MY LIVEBLOG ON TIME?!?!? yes, i actually did it!! i squeezed this into my schedule. also, i wrote a lot this time for my thoughts after the end of the episode. i wrote an essay!! so, um, please read??? well, i really want someone to read it!! ;__; i kept rambling because i was imagining myself lying down on a couch talking to a psychiatrist about all of my complicated emotional issues THAT WERE CAUSED BY THIS EPISODE. o__O *eyes twitch*

omg, i want this episode to be over. it's too sad. ;__; *looks at time* uh-oh. there's time for another scene...

looks like Evil Shady Villain (i don't care what his name is) has evil plans for haru with his evil smile!!! haru... you've got to escape!! get away now!!!

that's all!!! now here are my thoughts: i was very emotionally destroyed by this episode because like i said, i noticed that ikuya kept getting worse and worse (not just his swimming times, but his feelings) and then he got into a fight with hiyori at the end. ;___; ;___; ;___; i'm so upset because hiyori is GENUINELY TRYING TO HELP and it's just not working. you saw the flashbacks where hiyori and ikuya's friendship formed. so you can see that ikuya means a lot to hiyori, which is why i said that hiyori is genuinely trying to help. plus, i pointed out that natsuya wants hiyori to watch over ikuya. so that's something that adds to the pressure on hiyori. so i felt so bad for him when first, he tried to invite ikuya to a cafe and he didn't want to go, and then, he tried to tell ikuya "stop thinking about nanase" and ikuya got mad at him for it!! remember, from hiyori's perspective, haru is just a bad person who's causing trouble. so from that perspective, it makes perfect sense that the solution to ikuya’s problem would be to stop thinking about haru. so i think it was surprising for hiyori that ikuya got mad at him. =( remember how earlier in the season, ikuya tended to be agreeable with hiyori? he went along with most things hiyori said/did. that's what hiyori's used to, and so that's why i think it was surprising for hiyori when ikuya got mad. he thought ikuya would just agree with his suggestions as usual.

ikuya actually has a positive view of haru and he does want to keep thinking about him. he is grateful for haru's rescue of him, and he wants to be "strong like haru." at the same time, he's angry at haru. but his true feelings toward haru are actually positive, which is why he rejected hiyori's advice to stop thinking about him. i don't think either of them are listening to each other. hiyori wants to fix ikuya instead of listening to him, and ikuya feels that doing things alone gives him strength, so he's not interested in trying to be fixed by hiyori or anyone else. he just wants to be "strong" on his own. ...it's not going well.

i loved the part where ikuya was on the slide and hiyori was on top of him. XD it was so dramatic. hmm, maybe i am beginning to ship them??? i don't know though, because they really need to work out their problems first. they're not quite at a point where i'm like "YEEAAAHHH I SHIP THEM, HIYORI x IKUYA 4EVER!!!!!!!" they'd be so cute if they weren't... you know... in a pretty damaged relationship right now. ^__^U actually, it's not just about this fight. even before that, their relationship was "off" to me. (not when they were kids. i'm talking about the present day) something about their friendship wasn't quite right. and so i'm not surprised that they ended up fighting.

...still, i'm hoping that they will soon work everything out and have some heartwarming moments!!! <3333

wait, i'm not done yet. i also want to say that it was so painful to me when haru said "it's my fault." there was something so broken in his voice. i could hear it. i think that every person has had situations in their lives where something that someone said or did bothered them and it continued to bother them for a long time even though it shouldn't have. you know that feeling when you can't stop thinking about something even though that thing keeps weighing you down??? it really shouldn't make you so upset, and you should let it go and not let it get to you, but you just can't stop thinking about it because you're taking it too seriously. what haru is going through right now is so relatable. 

honestly though, asahi and makoto don't seem to fully grasp how deeply this is hurting haru. asahi said that he and makoto swam with haru and were fine, and makoto agreed, but i was thinking, "haru's not going to instantly feel better just because you guys said that." when you're feeling that bad about something, one quick and simple answer isn't going to fully heal you. i expected makoto to understand how hurt haru is right now, but i'm not sure if he does!! (...which is weird.) the good news is that nao seems to have a plan, i guess. i don't have a clue what he's thinking of doing, but i'm sure that haru and the others will get through to ikuya somehow. right? RIGHT???
