i got up late because i didn’t sleep well, and between a meeting and being super tired, i finished everything super late today. luckily my roommate made dinner today, and it was easy to clean up after! the most exciting news is that i got 70% on a uWorld block for the first time!! promptly followed by, like, 59%, but that just goes to show how luck can play a role 😂

Quarantined in our dormitories for 10 days + getting my last semester results really sucks. Made a glass painting to make sure I stay sane. The reversed glass painting looks nasty. My roommates were quite perplexed seeing me painting haphazardly lmao. However, they were so supportive even before knowing the glass painting was supposed to look nice on the other side. Armin looks so badassed in shingeki no kyojin s4!!

Saturday, 13th February 2021

I rearranged my room today, so here’s my new study space! My desk is now in front of the window and more minimalist, which I’m happy with, plus I made a lil’ noticeboard by sticking an old plastic book cover over the cover of a pad of paper I’ve recently finished.

It’s now half-term (and my birthday tomorrow!), and my school decided not to give any homework so I’m going to focus on my EPQ and some supercurricular bits and bobs :)

Didn’t do much today to be honest. I had a biology class, read the Bible, shared my notes and that’s it 🤷‍♀️ I tried to read my physics book [while video calling my friend cause he was studying too so it could’ve inspired me] but I really wasn’t motivated. Tomorrow has to be better

i've been trying to figure out this assignment for 2 days now. btw yes i am about to double post. oh and i havent printed pictures for my bujo spreads which i need to do!

honestly sometimes getting through the day is so hard and taking care of yourself and tending to your own needs can be so exhausting and that’s completely okay and it’s also okay to take a break from being around people for a while to refresh and recharge your energy

You know what... I’m finding school so hard. Online lessons are draining. I cannot finish my work. I’m submitting work as soon as I’ve done it without crafting it like I used to, just so I can finish. I’ve got four assignments due in for tomorrow and 5 overdue assignments, some from last year.

It’s completely normal to feel a complete mess right now. At least that’s what I tell myself in an attempt to get any work done. One day this will be over and maybe I will enjoy learning as much as I used to.

And to make this confession I decided to take a nice photo of the only work I’ve done today and put a nice filter on it.

Basically I think I just want to say don’t be fooled by social media. I have lots of nice pictures of my work and study materials, yet I don’t post pictures of my exams that get 14/30 marks.

This too shall pass :)

Winter Studying Challenge 

What is your favorite thing about winter?

My absolute favorite thing is the snow, I’m so glad snow came early this year. I also adore the holiday atmosphere and aesthetic. The combination of red and white decoration mixed in with plaid and flannel textures. Seeing all of the Christmas decoration in malls and downtown. Having a cozy day indoors by snuggling up with hot chocolate and a good book near the fireplace as the snow falls outside.

What is your least favorite thing about winter?

I hate it when it’s cold outside but there no snow on the ground, what’s the point of that. And when the wind gust is so high that it takes all of my energy to reach my car.
