I love drow but I just can't seem to create a unique tav ;-; I'm scared all our drow tav's look the same in the end😭 any advice?🥹

Honestly, since most drow are purple/blue with white hair and red eyes, it’s hard not to make them look alike, but I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing! I love drow sooo much that I just love every single drow tav I see 😭 I think they are all beautiful, so that just means your tav is also beautiful! <3

This turned into kind of a long post, BUT MOD RECS BELOW!!

I am probably not the best person to ask when it comes to creating unique tavs since I use the same face and hair for my fem tavs (IM TOO ATTACHED </3)

I like what I like what can I say, what can I saaay?

But for character customization here are my tips:

I’d say if you want to create a more “unique” drow, feel free to go beyond what is the usual “drow” look (purple/blue skin, red eyes, white hair, etc.)

I’m pretty sure drow can’t naturally have other hair colours (idk i could be wrong, ask @vspin cause they are like a drow lore master-I KNOW NOTHING) but who says hair dye doesn’t exist in faerun?!! Try some cool new hair colours! Have fun with different hairstyles and tattoos, different eye colours, download some new scar mods!

Another big factor is the clothing and accessories + the dye you choose. I feel like they really will allow your tav/oc to stand out.

Basically, DONT FEEL LIMITED!!! GO CRAZY GO WILD RAAAAA

Finale thoughts, spoilers, rambly too

AHHHH for a finale that was by almost all accounts a happy ending it sure does not feel that way. like YAY all the mikes and tys are back OH wait OH fuck ty is back and hes HAPPY that's real bad. it was so foreboding it absolutely feels like a bad ending IM sCARED base is truly locked in for a path to hell

It was fantastic i loved it everyone did such a great job this and this season will be spinning in my head for awhile!!!!!!!!!!! Impressed all the time by all the talent

And to have lil ol charlie be at the center at the foreboding casually talking with Edgar about how sometimes he has to put iterations of his boyfriend down like a sick dog and like we know Edgar feels awful about it but hes still here doing it and would she do it to marissa. What the fuck i hate them (i love them). Like the charlie/marissa and edgar/mikey paralells have always been there but i love to see them called out like this and used. IM excited to see her go through the ringer

i am kind of loving troy manipulating everyone in way that the viewers know but the characters have no idea. this is funny as hell what is he up to he thinks its funny as hell that no one thinks he can use a calculator i loved that part. Also there are apparently even more powerful who are now keeping an eye on the base/compound which is a fun up in stakes

MW was really badass this episode i loved that and LOL did Latvia mike admit that he was the one to leave that ominous note in Alaska (dont remember if this has been addressed before) and i also love the chicken or egg question the base and the compounds name like lol (this only happened because Mikey wasn't allowed to name the base something stupid let him go wild he deserves it/j) you gave ty beteridge information he is going run with that. IM fascinated to how ty knowing the name Walters is going to interact with ty (or at least one iteration of him) thinking mikeys last name was edgars at first

The "let's split up gang" parts felt well done and the tension was kept high. If WBG were a show about the bad guys actually losing and the good guys winning i think a mike w alters iteration who has nothing even disavows his own name giving a dramatic spiel then killing an ignorant ty betteridge would be a great ending but its not and my evil babygirl scientist is back and ready to cause problems for everyone <3

yessss, two friends showed me jennifers body a couple years ago! the movie deserves every single bit of hype it gets, i had so much fun, it was delicious!

LET’S GOOOOO!!! I put off watching Jennifer’s Body for so long because I was worried it would not live up to the hype but MAN was it worth it. They have been plaguing my thoughts ever since. I am especially a massive fan of the costume design because they NAILED that shit!!

Admittedly I’m more into horror movies than novels (it is . So hard to read these days) and podcasts have never caught my fancy, but it would feel wrong to not recommend sign here by Claudia Lux and the ever infamous American psycho by Bret Easton Ellis. I actually haven’t finished American psycho because it is a dense read but my god it’s a beautiful masterpiece of a book and I did not expect it to be as hilarious as it is

Movie wise I tend to jump all over the place and watch whatever catches my fancy so this is. Not a very cohesive rec list and not full of very many older homoerotic movies but. I plan to watch more when I can

First and foremost I am an absolute die hard fan of house of 1000 corpses. I cannot put into words how much I love it in all of its weirdness. It was made by rob zombie of living dead girl fame and you can TELL in the best of ways. It’s got fun colour grading, excessive swearing, weird ass characters, and such a fun setting. I’d say it’s on the medium-heavy side of gore with a couple of body horror scenes and a good bit of blood and mutilation. The seocnd movie is good, third eh, but you don’t actually need to watch those two. They take the camp of the first movie and turn it into a more gritty realistic energy that is almost meanspirited in nature

I’m a HUGE cabin fever fan and I will recommend it at every chance I get, BUT! There is a caveat and that is that it is not only significantly gory but also that it is weird, campy, kitschy, and a real big fan of slurs, LOL. I think we hit several n-words, an r-word or two, and some use of faggot. Some of the later scenes are downright WEIRD but despite it all it is one of my favourite horrors with some really haunting scenes

Hellraiser in general is a wonderful franchise, I love Clive Barker’s choice to base the cenobites around a mix of BDSM and gay culture and how he characterizes pinhead, even if the later movies fuck it up a little. The 2022 standalone is a huge favourite in particular, I love the imagery and the cenobite redesigns that lean heavier into body horror as well as the cinematography. Jamie Clayton’s pinhead is fucking INCREDIBLE to boot

If you like erotic horror, X is definitely a good one to watch - the plot centres around sex workers determined to make an erotic film and make it big, with some immaculate commentary on desirability, beauty, and aging. Good bit of tits and ass in that one, as well as medium level gore. It also has two sequels, Pearl and MaXXXine, which are set in the past and future respectively. Pearl was secretly shot at the same time as X in the same location and focuses on the lust for fame, the need to make it big, and a youthful mania of sorts coming from Pearl. MaXXXine I haven’t actually seen yet so I cannot say much about it, but I hope to get to it soon!

The fear street trilogy is also a remarkably well done series that seamlessly covers one long tangled mystery throughout three different timelines, using the same handful of actors for each one! The use of setting and cinematography is so fuckint cool, the eventual mystery reveal is absolutely wild, and there’s even a canon queer relationship! The gore isn’t too bad, I’d say light but there are some moments that push it to a medium at best

Ready or Not is a movie I enjoy for a variety or reasons (I think the iconic shot of Grace in a ripped and bloody wedding dress is pretty big on the internet), from the setting to the storytelling to Samara Weaving’s fucking banshee screams, with medium-light gore (though the bits that do show up are impactful as all hell. Cabin in the Woods is fun as a deconstruction of the horror genre (and a story that theoretically makes every single horror movie made canon, wow), though it’s also just really fucking funny. Another medium gore!

Candyman 2021 is a brilliant take on an old legacy of movies (again, no previous ones need watching) with a wonderful exploration of gentrification, black trauma, and what makes the candyman the candyman. I know I keep talking about cinematography but holy fuck, the multimedia use in this film in particular. Immaculate. I feel practically obligated to recommend Deathgasm, which is an indie horror with some pretty wicked gore, if not just because the main characters are all metalheads, and as one myself, it’s SO COOL to see us as protags in a horror movie

Last but not least, Prey 2022. Holy fuck, Prey is an utter masterpiece. It’s the latest addition to the predator franchise, another one of those ones you don’t Need to have watched in order to watch prey, but havint seen them gives the watching experience a good bit more depth, with iconic lines being given a new spin. It’s technically a prequel to the first ever predator movie, focusing on one of the first few appearances of a predator on earth (ehhh debatable considering the canon of aliens vs predator but I’m ignoring that for the sake of conciseness), giving it more a more basic appearance and weapons, while also letting it kick absolute ASS. The plot is incredible, the cinematography is incredible, the CGI animals are so much better than ever expected, and it’s also the first ever feature length film to ever have an official Comanche dub!!! Holy fuck!!

As a bonus, though I haven’t seen it, Doctor Sleep also seems like a really well done movie! It’s based off of the Stephen King book set after the shining, reprising and revisiting a lot of iconic moments to tell a new story with fucking incredible visuals that put their own spin on the shining

I just want to ask though, what was your thought process when it comes to writing reader's character in Wildflower this chapter, it's just that I find it fascinating how her decisions, though aren't the best, are well thought out and just makes sense of her character and the situation she has.

The last part really got me, I thought she was gonna leave from all that but her being with Oscar in the end feels a bit more of a clarity despite the consequences that will soon happen from the leaked photos to her and Oscar having unprotected sex (I hope that plan B works tbh lol pregnancy just scares me alot imo). As for my characterization, my main thing is that I always want my characters to be multi-faceted. So whatever the most logical choice is, they’ll never make it because that’s too easy. Or if they do make it, it’ll still be conflicted and maybe not as logical as they thought.

So for example, the main character wanting to leave Monaco; if she stays, she has to deal with the pressure of Oscar being there constantly which gives rise to more conflict, which perpetuates the story. Or if she goes, she has to deal with the loneliness and maybe having to see Oscar move on without her. Though, logically, it’d make sense for her to leave, each option had opportunities for friction that is the core of any story. When deciding which way I wanted the story to go, I chose the first option because I wanted to focus more on the slow burn and sexual tension of being in close proximity to someone you can’t touch. But with the second option, I could focus on feelings of jealousy and maybe the reader rethinking her identity since so much of it was built around Oscar?

Either way, all stories are driven by conflict so you have identify potential conflicts and let them arise (whether internally in the character or externally in the larger plot) by sometimes allowing your characters to make dumb decisions!

To really get into the emotions, sometimes I draw on personal experience or my personal feelings, but mainly I just try to imagine myself as the main character and what conflicted feelings I’d be having, and focus on that core conflict rather than the details of it plot-wise, which come later. So with the same example, obviously I’ve never had to choose whether to live in Monaco with my best friend who I am in love with or move to France and start my life over alone and redefine my whole self. But, I have been in a situation where I have to face leaving something I love for something better/more stable or sacrificing my future for the thing I love, and I can draw upon that core feeling to portray that emotion in the reader despite the outward circumstances being wildly different. Being able to identify what your characters are really feeling/wanting deep down (without focusing on the context of the plot) is key for this.

Also, I daydream a lot, so sometimes I’m just up in my head and I’m like “wow wouldn’t it be wild if (insert crazy plot point here) happened” and then I usually end up writing it because it’s fanfic and it’s meant to be melodramatic and fun!

Sorry if this is a lot, but I just love talking about my writing process (and I’m actually in the process of trying to get a job teaching writing rn so this is right up my alley). I hope this makes sense and if not just feel free to ignore my crazy yapping!

Lord of Chaos new reader thoughts: Chapters 6-10

Chapter 6: Threads Woven of Shadow

oh this was a juicy chapter. I'm interested in the relationships between the Forsaken and I'm enjoying all the information we're getting about their backstories, motivations and current plans. Sammael and Graendal working together and having been allies for a long time... I feel like your relationships after 3000 years are all going to be batshit. in my mind the Forsaken are the most fucked-up polycule of all time. like the Lyctors from The Locked Tomb but honestly the Forsaken probably won't be as interesting.

Semirhage: what theeeee fuck. I listened to this part while I was getting coffee on my lunch break and by the end of it my eyes were SO wide. first of all her whole backstory was like "I liked torturing people for fun at my doctor job but everyone else didn't want me to do that :( but I literally deserved it because I am so smart and they're so out of pocket for not letting me :(" GIRL??? and then torturing the Aes Sedai and her Warder. ow ow ow ow. this was my favorite chapter yet but it did fuck me up lol.

Chapter 7: A Matter of Thought

Elaida's stole has no blue stripe... the SHADE!! and demoting Shemerin to Accepted?? she is such a messy Amrylin. I have no choice but to stan.

Beonin is an evil-sounding name to me. there have to be Black Ajah in Salidar, so based on literally nothing I'm guessing she's one.

overall, I continue to really like tel'aran'rhiod as a setting and I like that it has rules that we're learning along with the characters. also all the Aes Sedai bitching is both fun and frustrating. we'll see which way the scales tip for me on that.

also! I forgot that Nynaeve and Myrelle are both in Salidar now!! I'm putting on my clown nose and wig and shoes hoping for a Lan/Nynaeve reunion this book.

Chapter 8: The Storm Gathers

this was a good chapter but I don't really have anything to say about it. yay for spending time with Moggy. I continue to dislike Gareth and love Nyaneve, what else is new.

Chapter 9: Plans

totally zoning out for the Whitecloaks politics sorry. I know this is important but I have better things to do (pay attention to the Aes Sedai instead).

Chapter 10: A Saying in the Borderlands

this chapter was WILD so I'm just going to work through it in order.

Rand you listened to Lan's advice a little too well. you might be the Dragon but you're also still a human being and it's okay to want things!!! on that note, please talk to Aviendha, good lord.

the Emond's Field girls were a gut punch to me, wanting to go to Tar Valon to become Aes Sedai. they're so young and hopeful and don't know about the Tower split! also Alanna mourning her Warder got me.

AND THEN SHE NONCONSENSUALLY BONDED RAND. first of all, what the fuck. second of all, why the fuck. third of all, no one in this situation reacted well to anything except Verin trying to be motherly to the EF girls when they were scared, although her attempt to be motherly did include giving them a bunch of brandy so... you know. I don't fully understand why Alanna bonded Rand or the implications of it, but after the initial shock wore off I'm not that surprised - I mean, she said outright in book 4 that someone should bond the three boys, and Elayne's nonconsensual bonding with Birgitte set up that possibility clearly enough that I did expect her to try to bond one of them.

Alanna fully breaking down with Verin was a standout scene to me. this woman is Not doing well and she isn't making decisions of sound mind and body. I mean, neither is Rand, so I'm morbidly curious about how this situation will work out.

overall: definitely hitting my stride now with this book. future posts might be shorter because while I love to talk, I'd also like to get a move on with this series 😅 it's starting to feel like I'll never finish, and I'm at a point where I need to know everything.

Loved the second episode of The Rookie!!

I wish we'd gotten a little longer before Tim found about about Miles, but it will be interesting to see him with the gang and Smitty lol.

DANG how much trauma can one boy have 😭 Seth is going through it my man xdd it does suck though, that must be awful, finding out something could be off with his tests :(. But seriously, it's only been two episodes xD I appreciate that he has reasons and I love a good traumatic backstory, but I feel myself already going "again??". Give this man a break xD. It will be an interesting storyline though!

Wopez 🥰🥰🥳 LOVED the flirting moment they had (and seeing Nyla and Angela back in uniform!! So fun :D), and this poor man and his jealousy xD. Absolutely valid of course lol. And his response to James that he can't say xD he can't but just poor guy. Also, they're so sweet at the end 🥰 I love them so much.

Super interested in Nyla and James's storyline!! This conflict is rough :( but I'm super excited to see where they go with it :D. Also I was scared Nyla was going to see something outside the window or something but her sneaking out was SOO iconic lol, love her. I do hope they can work everything out a bit better though :((. Totally get where Nyla's coming from in the coming home part though. Like, bro 😑

I do wish we got to see Celina mess up a little bit more, honestly. I'm glad she was amazing with taking down that guy though! And I'm glad she called Nolan out, because I was like "huh? Did he need to step in there?" and apparently I was kinda right 😬. Idk if it would have affected the jerk detective, but who knows. I am glad she passed though 🥳🥳!! And I'm glad Nolan did better later and found some places to improve on :)).

Lucy's doing great!! OBVIOUSLY it's going a little rough, Seth on that chase was wild 😭, but I believe her that he's got potential and I know she can do this <3. I'm glad Gray trusted her - I was a little nervous he was going to be mad/not quite yell at but yk reprimand her but just more wanting to talk about Seth was great. Icon, love him :).

Tim figured out Miles so quick xdd. Like I said, I wish it wasn't so fast, but props to him lol. And he gave him some time, so that's good :). He didn't have too much going on today but yeah :)! I'm glad Miles found a place and he's stayed on though :D - and I was like "another 24 hours xD?" before Tim said he bought himself another shift lol.

So excited for the next one! Looks like it'll be great :D. I do wish they left off on Chenford a little bit longer (just seems like it'll be a thing in the episode not like getting back together) but yk. And poor Nolan :(( xd. It is nice to see Jason (and Oscar a bit) coming back up though! And ooh, Celina coming forward about it (being worried and then of course him not showing up) :o, love that! Also, sad that the wopez jealousy storyline probably means we won't get much on Oscar with them lol (I just love them, and Wesley. And his trauma xD). But, still! I'm excited :DD!!

Kyouya is def my fav so I have waaay more for him but I do have some for Katia and Shun (probably more on Shun just cause we get more from his perspective in the Novel)! As a massive Shipper again most of them revolve around my OT3 (I have no shame there haha).

Heads up for Spoiler Warning (I think I give mostly vague Spoiler for the entire series but except the Kumoko/Wakaba thing is directly said).

Trans Katia: Update: 16 novels we get two chapters from Katia’s perspective but I think there is one or two more shorts from her perspective in the Ex-Ex2. Okay so far in all 12 novels we get one (1) chapter from Katia’s perspective so there’s not a lot to go off but Katia was definitely closeted/uncracked egg Trans Girl in her past life fight me. Cracking the egg/getting outed via isekai lol. Out of roughly 30 reincarnations Katia is is the only one that switched gender and it’s explained (aside from Oka which D did just to cause trouble) the system puts them in bodies that best fit their soul this being why some characters reincarnated as not humans and why Katia is a girl. So the only characters who changed gender or race are Katia, Fei, Sophia, Kyouya, and Oka who doesn’t count in this. Shiro was always a spider thus why she is a spider. Kyouya deeply agreed with the Goblin’s mentalities and morals. We see later that Fei’s personality and morals really fits with the dragon's code of conduct. Sophia being a vampire isn’t super explained and more how people viewed her. So like failing in line Katia must be a Trans Woman basically.

Katia Anxiety: I think Katia is very protective of her boys. It’s kinda obvious when she meets Shun again and then when they get in dangerous situations. She’s so scared of losing the people she cares about (I think she’s often the most aware of how different and how dangerous the fantasy world is compared to their previous lives). I think the realization Kyouya probably isn’t on their side (because of how Oka kept avoiding the topic) probably hurt her a lot, because she doesn’t want to abandon him but also is too scared about losing Shun as it is (and I feel like when she puts everything together after the fact she feels super guilty for not pressing more). It kinda seemed she really didn’t have many people she was close to in her past life and the fact that Shun (and I’m gonna Headcanon here later Kyouya) still accept her despite everything that’s “different” (cough cough eye cracked) is huge to her. I’m glad in the Novel Shun always does a very good job conveying how much he appreciates, relays on, and trusts her because god she needs it.

Shun and Julius: The fun part about Shun as a Character is he is painfully aware how much of an NPC he is and that he doesn’t fit the role of Hero. Which is why I think he looks up to Julius so much and later on tries to emulate him. He quite frankly knows he has NO IDEA what he is doing and wants to be as level headed and smart as Julius. I think that his idol-like obsession with Julius comes from his own insecurities.

Shun, Katia, and Kyouya are Weird (aka Poly):“They're weird about each other” is one of my favorite Shipping reasons because it’s so true. I mean Shun and Katia are pretty solid in Canon and I would say I’m just adding Kyouya to it to make it an OT3 but also once I see it I can’t unsee it. Just the fact that all 3 of them single out their “Friendship” as something special. I don’t think Katia super had other friends in her past life (being an uncracked egg will make that hard) but Shun and Kyouya did and they never really mention it. Shun was peak NPC and was not super close but friendly to most of the guys but he NEVER mentions it until running into them again (apparently he was on a soccer team and just, never thought it was important or that big a deal). And it’s Shiro who mentions it seems like Kyouya and Shinobu were friends in their past life, Kyouya barely mentions it even after seeing him again. Just the “you're weird about each other” being a way of saying “that’s a little more than a friendship I think” basically.

Polyamorous not having Legal Marriage: So at the end of Volume 16 they mention that nothing is know about Shun’s love life, which might mean he never legally married. Now I like think Shun and Katia legally married and then Kyouya is their lover (they have a non-legal marriage for the 3 of them in private). But I am just saying this can support my Ship because Polyamory isn’t really that accepted publicly so they keep it secret (open secret among their friends though). It’s sort of an AU but I’m just saying.

Shun Salaryman: So it says at the end of Vol 16 Shun goes back to help his Brother and all I can think is he’s finally becomes a Salaryman. Imagine he helps with all the paperwork instead of decision making. And he’s really good at it to the point of everyone’s surprise. He finally realized JUST how lost he was trying to be a Hero (he always sort of knew but now that he’s found his calling it’s super obvious to everyone else as well).

Shun’s Accidental Rizz: So we see that Shun is always ridiculous earnest about his feelings and has no qualms expressing his appreciation (we see this most to Katia early on where he always thanks her for helping him). So I like to think for my OT3 he accidentally says the most romantic shit to Katia and Kyouya all the time unprompted because he’s just being honest about it (Kyouya Bluescreens because he’s so unused to verbal affection (he likes it he’s just used to the Demon Army’s brand of nonverbal love) and Katia goes Tsundere Mode when flustered).

Shun Perception Check: Shun is both really perceptive and an idiot at the same time. So he is able to perceive all sorts of little subtle tells that others can’t but at the same time has no idea how to process what they actually mean.

Shun: Shun is an Emotional Support Dumbass. And anyone who hates him (usually people who only saw his botched Anime version) can meet me in the pit. I also think his general easy going-ness probably helped both Katia and Kyouya a lot in their past lives (because it seemed like neither of them had the easiest home life’s and then they have it rough again after being reincarnated rip).

Episode 1 - Turnabout Trump

I bought the trilogy so yayyy, I am up for this! I hope I like Apollo😊 Apollo is pretty cute though, lol when the defendant called him Mr Fine hahahah. OMG that beanie guy is Phoenix?!??! I'm flabbergasted, super shocked! Lmao at Payne's jab "better than a defence attorney who can't defend"😂😂😂 LMAO at Payne saying the witness is hidden because she probably got scared of Apollo's demonic-looking horns HAHAHA. I love spikey hair😂 Lmao at Kristoph's calm face telling Apollo to not embarrass him every time Apollo objects and says Phoenix didn't do it because he would never do such a thing😂😂 An authentic Russian borscht restaurant where it's freezing cold and they serve cold borscht?! I agree with Apollo, I never want to go there😂 OMG, Phoenix has a daughter?!l Olga Orly changing her personality and everything after recess was interesting😂

I didn't expect things to turn around to make Kristoph the killer especially since Phoenix and him are supposed to be friends. I guess that means he is somehow related to why Phoenix lost his attorney's badge 7 years ago? But yes, now we can see why he wanted Apollo to defend him, not only because he wanted Kristoph to be caught but he also needed someone who pursues justice above everything. I assume there's more going on about this Shadi Smith. But man, I've really forgotten how fun the Ace Attorney games can be! I fully enjoyed how much of a rollercoaster everything was, the constant twists and turns and everything haha. I think it was also very enjoyable because it felt nice to see Phoenix even if he's not an attorney right now. I was thinking that Bloody Ace card evidence was way too convenient and it was admitted so haphazardly into evidence even though it came from unknown origins so I'm not surprised if it really was forged evidence. Anyway, this episode was a nice warm up to get into the groove of things again. I'm not sure how to feel about the current Phoenix Wright but I'll admit that I'm quite interested in Apollo and his journey now haha!

Episode 2 - Turnabout Corner

Ooh so Phoenix's daughter is called Trucy. I thought so already but considering she's 15 years old and Phoenix is 33, he probably adopted her somewhere. Well, after being a defendant, he is now a client to Apollo? How? Lolll. Okay, it was a joke hahaha. Anyway, Phoenix getting hit by a car and hitting into a telephone pole but only getting a sprained ankle is hilarious, what a guy. Dr Hickfield is a creep and I REALLY did not need those hand movements OMG. Sniffling Samurai with the booger flick attack?! LOL. It's wonderful how this noodle guy has a bowl for a hat and his hair looks like noodles😂 Why are there stolen panties as a part of this case too and Trucy's?! Omgg Ema Skye?? She looks so mature now! LMAO when Trucy did a magic trick and said her panties are an extra-dimensional space and that anything fits in there😂 Tiala wanting to quit her job and marry the Kitaki son to live the good gangster life was so funny 😂 Umm this Mr Gavin looks exactly like Kristoph Gavin?? Ema just randomly munching on food because it's snack time😂😂 Ohh Kristoph's younger brother, Klavier... Hmmmm... Seems suspicious😂 Very interesting how the guy died btw, pulling the noodle cart?🧐

Oooo, Klavier is a prosecutor! Interesting! Lmao I love his air guitar movement😂 Lmao at Stickler talking too much and the judge is like we hope to finish cross-examination sometime this month😂😂 It's so funny how Klavier and Trucy chime in with how they have a recording and a magic show to get to after this trial😂 I did not expect some random to come and take Trucy hostage??? Like how did that happen without anyone noticing? Wild trial lol. I guess a magic trick should have been expected hahahaha. Apollo was so cute when he was so relieved that Trucy was actually okay. I'm not sure how to feel about the Perceive ability thing but I guess I can fly with it. It was obvious that Stickler viewed the crime from the other side but is he a thief? OMG the panties thief, of course!! Lol. LMAO when Klavier asked Apollo how many panties he's carrying with him since he keeps taking them out as evidence😂😂 Alita is definitely suspicious especially since she's the only one that probably could have stolen the pistol.

Klavier was the one who stripped Phoenix of his attorney badge?! Lmao at the footprint analysis thing where you use a hairdryer😂 legit died😂 Klavier, a 17 year old prosecutor???? Danggg!! LOL I didn't expect the noodle hair to be a wig and that Mr Eldoon actually looks normal when he dons his doctor persona lol!! Btw, I'm still sad that it never clicked to me until they revealed it that Eldoon is just noodle backwards lmao. I didn't think Wocky's time would be that limited that he's basically going to die soon if he doesn't get operated on asap. Hmmmm I'm not sure if I like the conclusion to this case, especially since it was obvious what Alita's motives were, and I did enjoy the idea of Meraktis needing the noodle cart to carry a body without anyone knowing and that Alita was the victim first but...Meraktis is a doctor! How did he not realise she wasn't actually dead? And why did he leave the gun with her in the noodle cart? She threatened him with it so wouldn't he have thought he needs to hide that too? But yeah I think him not realising she wasn't dead was more unbelievable considering he's a doctor, and even if it was because he was all panicky and stuff, it's still difficult to understand considering he needed to prepare all these things to transport her body, so he would have had some time to calm down, he would have carried her and noticed whether she was just unconscious or dead imo. Anyway, definitely a weak case for me but lmao at the Kitaki head's puppy dog eyes, I mean I knew he was a softie for his son but loll the eyes😂

Episode 3 - Turnabout Serenade

Lmao at Klavier sending them his concert tickets for 20% off😂😂 Couldn't even let Apollo the poor guy have them for free😂 Does Lamiroir's language actually mean something? Because lmao at the letter that looks like a person doing a hadouken😂😂 A burning guitar and a dead manager🥲 Lol at Ema and her Snackoo-ing Apollo all the time😂 Anyway, the Blue Badger doesn't give me good memories😂 The ladder vs stepladder thing will always be funny, lmao at ladder discrimination hahaha. I assume the speakers had a role in this and the victim wasn't shot at the same time as the concert otherwise how could we explain this disappearing killer? Or was the victim able to fire the gun before he died to alert people? But it seems like there's a dying message so probably not hahaha. I didn't expect The Gavinners to be full of people related to the police, so Daryan is a detective with criminal affairs hmmm~ Lmao at the song name "My Boyfriend Is the Prosecution's Witness" hahahaha. I have no musical sense apparently because I could not find the missing cue hahahha!

The moment they decided to leave the room ignoring Ema, I knew the body would disappear but I'm curious as to why🧐 NO WAY LeTouse is only 35 years old lol!!! It was so funny when the cross-examination was getting delayed because of talk about autographs from Lamiroir, and Klavier then gives his to the judge😂 How was it possible for Machi to carry the body all the way to the stage and take it up that ladder? Why does no one question the logistics of this? Also, if the recoil from the gun is so bad, how could a child hit the victim without sustaining any sort of injury? Lmao at Ema calling Klavier a diva because he keeps complaining about losing his keys, his guitar getting burnt to a crisp etc etc. Anyway, nice to know that the one who is supposed to blind isn't blind and that Lamiroir can speak English which was to be expected. I guess someone was smuggling that egg cure to save the Chief Justice's kid.

Anyway, I forgot to say that I love Klavier's office, just filled with guitars and music hahahah, and some evidence lying around and on screens of course. I knew that gigantic case that can fit people in it was going to be important but I didn't think it would be a place for Lamiroir to hide from someone trying to kill her. It's so crazy how no one cared about finding an interpreter for Machi and was ready to just give a verdict without him speaking lolll. Lmao at Trucy telling Apollo that he's the defence so he needs to believe in his client even if they're lies😂 I liked when Trucy said Apollo was pretty cool for a moment because I agree! When he refuted Klavier so confidently, I felt so proud of him! I can't😂 whenever Apollo takes out some new contraption and the judge keeps saying is it a new-fangled phone that's come out without him noticing😂😂 Ohhh, it took me a while to piece together some of the details because I couldn't understand why Lamiroir would hear something from the air vent but then I realised I forgot about the disappearing magic trick hahaha. I was always skeptical about that dropped brooch's position so I'm glad that it was actually because she dropped it from the air vent, and as expected, there were two Lamiroir's for the performance. I can't believe I missed the vacuum sealed guitar part to smuggle cocoons! Definitely a great idea hahaha. The last bit was pretty obvious and I feel like Daryan was quite a weak culprit but I did enjoy how things proceeded. I kinda wished I had the musical sense to understand and notice the stuff with the mixing board but it was not to be I guess. I definitely enjoyed the walking in the ceiling thing, it just felt so enlightening when it clicked! Accusing the poor kid of murder was still slack though lmao.

Episode 4 - Turnabout Succession

A trial simulation of the jurist system is interesting, mainly because it's not a simulation and is an actual trial hahaha. The defendant is an interesting girl. I knew Drew Misham was a forger but I really didn't expect to see those three rough sketches be of Apollo's previous cases. The x-ray machine was kinda fun since you got to see it slowly form into a surprising picture. Aww Vera was so cute for drawing a smiley face to give expression to her thanks to Apollo for taking her case. Honestly, I have to agree with Klavier that people should not lick stamps in this day and age😂 I have always found it so weird and unsanitary, and if the victim died because of this, then it really goes to show that we should all really stop this practice if we want to save our lives😂 LMAO when the judge started getting influenced and getting into the way the Bruschel guy talks and was like the stamp is a ticket straight to the afterlife, end quote hahahaha. Btw I'm still disappointed that this trial jurist system has not made any impact but I guess we'll see if it does anything later. But yes, I'm glad Klavier finally brought up the why would the victim use a stamp he knew was poisoned lol. It's quite amazing that Vera was so talented at the age of 12. Even more crazy that not only could she forge paintings but forged evidence as well like signatures, fingerprints etc?? I can't believe it was a stamp of the Troupe Gramarye!

Awww a tiny Trucy is so cute! Klavier looks better with short hair I must say. Ooh the music feels so nostalgic! I'm very happy to finally see the trial seven years ago! The case seven years ago was the death of their master Magnifi Gramarye?😱 I wonder why Zak had a reason he couldn't refuse Magnifi's order to kill him and why specifically at 11:05pm? Hmmm, was it really because of they needing to wait for the doctor to do the IV and then getting the bag at 11:30? Well, that was a rollercoaster with the fake evidence and Drew Misham appearing to say it was a fake he made. Zak disappearing during court before his verdict was declared and then to never to be seen again is interesting. I guess that means we'll see him again soon? It's so sweet how reliable eight year old Trucy was to take care of Phoenix and say she'll take care of him hahaha. I think it was sweet how much Trucy's existence saved Phoenix, but at the same time I'm sure Phoenix also saved her when she had no one else. Btw, it's so nostalgic to see the law office again! Lmao at Meekins getting fired from being a police officer but taking the uniform with him as he works as a bailiff😂 But I never thought Mr Hat was so relevant that he was the reason why Zak could escape from court!

I can't believe it didn't click when I first saw Zak that he's actually Shadi Smith from the first case! Lmao at Kristoph's fancy gaol. Little Vera smiling and talking about Troupe Gramarye was so cute, she really can smile so happily. I knew Thalassa (Trucy's mother) being Magnifi's only daughter would be significant but I didn't think that their popular shooting performance actually killed her..that is terrible.. I knew there was something familiar about Thalassa's portrait but I didn't expect Apollo to actually be her child from her first marriage and that his powers and Trucy's powers are from the Gramarye bloodline basically! To think that Apollo and Trucy were half siblings all this time. I mean their relationship dynamic won't change but I think it would really help Trucy to know that she's definitely not alone anymore. Btw, I'm really enjoying the Mason System, initially I didn't know what to think about it but I actually really enjoyed seeing the past and present and how everything linked up. I most definitely had a rollercoaster of emotions with Valant. Disappointed that he killed Magnifi although he did treat both his disciples badly, then relief that he didn't actually kill Magnifi and then disappointment again when he admitted to the IV fluid thing to push this "murder" on to Zak. I assume Kristoph's reputation as the best defence attorney was built on forged evidence but I guess we will see his reasons.

For once, I did pretty good at figuring out Vera was poisoned through biting her nails on that nail polish given by Kristoph but I still feel bad for Drew. He wanted to save his daughter and have Kristoph stop manipulating her to do his bidding with the "good luck charm" but he ended up dying using that stamp that Vera kept. Btw, I forgot to mention that I never expected Mr Brushel to be such an integral witness and character in this whole fiasco from seven years ago until now. This guy is relentless for sure haha. I guess I underestimated Kristoph, he only did forged evidence once hoping to guarantee his win but then got dismissed by Zak so he used it as a trap on Phoenix to "punish" him for taking his rightful spot as the defence attorney for such a high profile case with the Gramarye. I finally understand what else felt familiar about Thalassa's portrait, I thought it looked like Lamiroir but I couldn't see a reason why. But I realised I forgot they said they never saw Thalassa's body, and she has the bracelet, so really, she was alive all this time but with no eyesight and no memories of the past. It's kinda crazy that she had such talent for both magic and singing though haha.

Overall, Apollo Justice is an all right game. Apollo is fine as he says, and I have a soft spot for Trucy and Ema but I think Klavier definitely lacked impact as a prosecutor even though I liked how he was a guy committed to justice. His brother Kristoph was also disappointing. Even though Phoenix isn't the Phoenix we're used to, I think the last case really makes you remember about the Phoenix you love so it's all good haha. The first two episodes were all right, third was better but I really wasn't good enough to tell the difference in music etc and the fourth as the finale was great. It was nice to see the first case set up to be something more important down the line which was obvious but I never realised the relevance until they talked about it haha. The second case was rather boring but the highlight was Ema imo. The third case was interesting in the sense that I enjoyed seeing how everything developed and how Lamiroir was involved, but I really didn't like all the flashbacks and I was basically incompetent when it came to listening for differences so that made me like it less because it was difficult for me. But I think the fourth case more than made up for everything. Seeing Phoenix having gathered evidence seven years ago to the present was really cool because that Mason System did very well showing how the past interacted with the present and how relevant everything was. I love the combined effort of everyone to take down Kristoph (even though he was a weak and disappointing villain). I also liked all the reveals and how everything clicked and was right in front of my face but I just missed it hahaha. It was enjoyable watching everything unravel with the magicians and the mysteries of the deaths. It was intriguing and definitely the highlight of the game. Even though I prefer the previous games more, this game has definitely rekindled my love for ace attorney so I'm all in for the next two!

Hello I know you didn't specifically ask but I am here to 'splain a scripture story- the one I mentioned last night, about Ammon! buckle up 'cause it's a wild one lol XD

First things first the Book of Mormon is a collection of (skillfully abridged (by our boy Mormon >:)) records from the people that lived in the Americas, circa 600 BC- A.D. 400! They're geeenerallyy thought to be predecessors to what we call Mayans and Incans and Aztecs, but we don't technically know that I don't think?

One throughline in Le Book is these two almost-always-opposing peoples, called the Nephites and the Lamanites- because they're descended from two brothers (Nephi and Laman lol, they had more brothers than that but it's not like Lemuel started a whole clan XD) who fought a lot. enough that eventually Nephi had to take his family and ~flee into the wilderness~ so his brothers didn't Actually Kill Him. i digress,,, basically the nephites are generally the more righteous people and lamanites the other way around, but not always!

SO ANYWAYS there's this Nephite kid named Ammon who (has a pretty cool backstory too iirc, and) is called by God to go preach the gospel among the Lamanites. So he goes and ends up getting captured by and becoming a servant of ~King Lamoni~, ooOoOOoO- specifically, his job is to... take care of the king's sheep. and then the horses after. you can imagine that this is not the most glorious of missions lol

He and a few other servants are doin their thing when suddenly bandits show up and scatter the sheep to try to steal them!!! The other servants are very scared, because the last time this happened, the king had the people that lost his sheep EXECUTED. But Ammon thinks GOSPEL MOMENT and goes nah it's okay, just gather them back up and the king won't kill us! So they go find the missing sheep and the king doesn't kill them ^-^

Except that the next day, the same thing happens D: this time Ammon tells the other people to defend the sheep, and basically channels his inner tank like in video games lol- he takes on the bandits all by himself

And during the fight. When a bandit goes to hit him with a club or smth. He just cuts their arm off?? And pretty soon they all run away!

So. The other servants bring the cut-off arms to King Lamoni and go "LOOK WHAT YOUR NEW GUY DID???" and the king is like, welp we have an extremely powerful being on our hands, what do I do about this

After an hour he decides he probably won't be struck down for asking questions so he tells someone to go find Ammon. And they find him taking care of the horses like he was told to do after he finished with the sheep. And now the king is internally going, why is literal god being a better servant than I've ever had?????

So Ammon comes in and gets to explain no, I'm not God, but I can tell you about him, which had to have been a fUn conversation lol- anywayss there's more stuff after that, in true convoluted scripture story fashion, but that's the bit I mentioned! i just think dakota would think that was neat <3 thanks for coming to my ted talk, i hope i got all the details right lolll

REVIEW

I LOOVED this episode, soo much, holy crap!! It was so good and emotional and DANG, my gosh, so dark and amazing. Jennifer Love Hewitt was an absolute icon and carried this episode, wow, props and claps to her 👏👏👏😳😌😌❤️. Amazing <33.

One day I actually will come back and fill in my reviews for episodes lol. But quick stuff because I don't have a lot of time and the new episode is tonight (if I even have time to watch it)

Buck and Eddie!! Ohh you idiots <33. The fighting was 😭 xD. But it was a good old time lol, and I'm glad they worked everything out <33. And Buck living there o.o :o!! Funn :D.

Bobby and what's his face! Aww lol, I'm glad he figured it out in the end :'D. Poor Bobby was gonna lose it lol. And I love that they all got to star (well yk) in the TV show for a minute xD. If they wanted to of course.

Chimney and Hen! All the besties together today. They didn't have much going on but they were iconic :D. And with Chim's acting at the end (eating it up) and Hen being a technical advisor xD? Iconic lol, I love them.

Maddie and Athena! OUAGH gosh Maddie was going through it this episode o.o. It was cool to see them working together :D (it's been a while but Athena and Maddie is always a cool pairing :) ). And I'm glad they managed to get a bad guy, but I really don't think it was as it seems - as shown by the detective being the killer O.O. Maybe he also killed, maybe they worked together and she wanted him taken out, maybe he found out about her, idk. But I definitely don't think he just killed himself just like that o.o. Also Maddie with the telling him to do so was crazy O.O. Hopefully for her sake that's not why he died 😭. Anyway, 😬😬 stressful and I hope Maddie's okay :((. Still, her and Athena were icons as always.

Overall, I really enjoyed this episode! It was so wild but fun, with a little bit- wait yeah the what's his face storyline (cannot remember it for the life of me and I keep wanting to say like Grant [or Brant or something] but that's Athena's also name and I know it isn't right lol- BRAD!!) BRAD, plenty of silly in there lol, and some real serious too o.o. The calls were great too!! Between Maddie being kidnapped and Eddie leaving soon (probably more the tension in the beginning before they know about Maddie) next episode will certainly be tense xd. I just hope everyone ends up okay honestly.

So yeah! I loved the episode, I had a great time and I'm glad to be back. Especially with such a wild one to start! The next one looks crazy, but I'm excited! This has been my review of. . .

thanks ! i am unfortunately an insane honor roll student so im like constantly on the grind tm - but i enjoy it! also. warning for the rest of the ask bc it is just a huge "here is my opinion, whats yours?" so if its like uninteresting lmk 😔 I am unfortunately studying craftsmanship and business/finance ethics in college so its like my thing tm

anyhow - i get what you mean about the whole seeing your peers' work not perform as well and being disheartened. i and many other nsfw oriented writers have been there before and im sure people will be there after : its not a bad thing to want recognition and it was one of the main reasons why i took a step away from writing.

but the main thing that brought me back was that writing itself so very fun, and in order to participate in "fun" i had to reevaluate what it means to "succeed" in a craft - esp on tumblr dot com hell site supreme - and re-reconcile that with my own wants and needs as someone who participates in the craft of writing. how much do i care vs how much should i care about numbers in comparison to others, and does it mean more when friends or strangers like my work, and so on and so forth. im not saying you should do this too or that i have a particular answer to that balance, more so just some misc. thoughts from one writer to another.

anyways sorry for the wild tangent - hope it doesnt sound like a lecture 😳 i know its "just" fanfiction but fanfiction is also tied closely to community, and to participate in community is a skill in and of itself ! all of this is just to say that, like fairy anon said, i think you should have fun. put your enjoyment and emotional enrichment in your craft first and foremost and be proud of the things you did and also be proud of the things that succeeded at the same time, and all that. its ok to get silly with it and still be scared, and its valid to let those fears keep you from getting too silly all the time - but i would still rather you get silly than not at all, if that makes sense

omg honor roll student... i haven't been that academic since i was a freshman in high school TT

i get what you mean! part of my issue is that i have a genuine passion for writing, to the point where i want to be like. an actual author someday. so i spend days and weeks writing and editing and putting everything i've got into a work just to watch something i spent maybe ten minutes on get more notes and i'm like 👹👹👹

i might sound whiny and annoying about it and i really do enjoy writing just for fun and not for notes!! but. yknow. sometimes i don't feel like i get much back at all and i'm just like a monkey sitting at a typewriter

maybe i take this shit too seriously idk.. i've been having a lot of doubts about my writing and a lot of performance anxiety recently. like i have a lot of anxiety about people judging me for the things i write...? it might just be all in my head but i've always been like that i have really bad social anxiety lol one reason i don't have ANY socmed outside of tumblr

i'll try to be less serious and have more fun, but i get caught up in my own head sometimes.
