When Prema was announced to be joining Indy I said they were going to offer a seat to Logan.

But Elle, some of you said, why would Prema enter into a motorsport with a driver that has never competed there before.

Because Prema is going to capitalize on the same thing Williams tried to do. "Look how happy our American is!"

Except that Prema actually did do it successfully when Logan raced for them in F3. Also, and I mean this so seriously, Kyle Kirkwood is a beloved figure in Indycar, and he has always advocated for Logan Sargeant. Combine that with the likes of Jenson Button? Logan might not have a former champion for a manager, but that doesn't mean they're not advocating for him as well.

But F1 is the dream.

What dream is worth all of this pain and misery? What dream is worth forcing your body to compete through a horrible bout of illness because you feel like you have to prove yourself? What dream is worth being publicly embarrassed in a sport for all to see when your car is taken away from you, thereby declaring that you are not worthy? What dream is worth listening to your boss, who once propped you up, talk about how much they want to replace you, how you have to do better, but not give you the tools to at least try?

That sounds more like a nightmare to me.

I would love Logan to be in F1 still. I would love for him to be at Haas or Sauber or even Alpine. But if none of these teams are going to make that offer, than he should still be allowed to drive.

Because isn't that the real dream? To be able to drive as fast as you can and do it without being miserable?
