Hi sweet beans!!

I have returned from my accidental hiatus. After Uni started back up I ended up being too busy for most leisure time activities, and so I ended up mostly drifting around here as a mere observer lol.

Anyway! Enough about that. This December I participated in a Secret Santa, and I was lucky enough to have @locallegume be my giftee!

This piece might just be the best thing I have drawn ever. I truly poured all of my heart and soul into every little detail, and I hope it shows! I had so much fun coming up with and making this piece, and I was itching to show my progress as I went. After ≈30 days of work I finally can, and here is the result.

We’ll see about my activity here going forward lol, I technically I have some art and stuff I could post… hm. Otherwise I guess I’ll disappear until I have something worthy to post / reblog again LOL

Oh!! Right. Happy New Year’s Eve to everyone! I hope 2025 turns out to be a good year. 2024 absolutely mangled me, but I also had a lot of fun and achieved many things I’m proud of.

“requiem for methuselah” crazy ass episode for many reasons. Kirk is being fully insane, like I don’t actually think, even controlling for how quickly and easily and readily he seems to fall in love with anybody at the slightest encouragement, that he’d go that bonkers for that android woman he just met while everyone on the ship was this close to dying, but that’s neither here nor there, because in the background you’ve got an equally but much more subtly insane episode for Spock, who extremely uncharacteristically admits to experiencing an emotion (or nearly experiencing, whatever) and that emotion is ENVY of all things. And then spends the rest of the episode warning Kirk away from this new love interest (something that doesn’t usually happen, even when Kirk has very inadvisable love interests) and is, in the end, the person who accurately identifies that Rayna’s competing love for Kirk and Flint is ultimately what overwhelms and destroys her with the most killer line in maybe history???

And then to wrap it up we get an equally uncharacteristic sort of denouement scene (TOS loooves to cut an episode off right after the actual climax, leaving little time for falling action or character reflection, or to stick a sitcom-y button on the end where the gang all smiles and laughs at their misadventures and everything resets to zero, which is not a criticism, it’s just the style of that era of tv, honestly) where Kirk is literally miserable over Rayna’s death (again, kind of unusual for a lot of his love interests, he tends to be able to move on pretty quickly) and Spock goes to see him and he falls asleep right in front of Spock (also odd) and then when Bones comes in to give the final word on Flint, Spock waves him off from waking the Captain (tender) and Bones gives him that awful speech about how it’s sadder that Spock can’t even imagine the love Kirk felt for this random android woman than it is that Kirk lost her in the first place (debatable but also rude) and how his great tragedy is that he can’t love at all like they can and how all he wishes is that Kirk could forget about all of this and move on. AND THEN, to have Bones leave and Spock go over to Kirk and very gently, tenderly, reluctantly touch him and put his hand to his forehead and tell him to forget and HAVE THAT BE THE END OF THE EPISODE??? What am I supposed to do with that??

If I remember correctly, I meant to make another drawing to match the first one with Carrie holding a little Darwin that was glowing instead of sucking in light but I never did that, it was inspired by art I saw for a webcomic which I never actually read, it was called lore olympus and the two main characters had butterflies on their neck and one was sucking in light while the other was glowing

I would like to clarify that in the Carrie drawing with the text saying “goes back and forth between calling Darwin her boyfriend/girlfriend” that I hc Darwin as non-binary, so that’s why she does that

Think about a “fuck or die” situation for 10Rose but it’s set right before Doomsday. So the Doctor avoids the whole subject immediately after because I def agree that 10 would not have sex in a romantic setting without telling Rose he loved her. And it’s ROSE, of course it’s not going to “mean nothing” to him, even if it is to strictly save her life. So he panics and they have an adventure as a distraction. Or they go back to Earth. Idk the timeline is whatever, I’m too high to remember. Then they accidentally kidnap Jackie, which is like, extra awkward. And then Rose is gone.

Angst.

Okay, so, I’m a slut for the Fuck-or-Die; it may be my favorite smut trope — but I’ve already got three WIPs for two different ships beneath that trope, and as you can imagine, it’s a lot. I love this suggestion, though!

Writing has been… nonexistent this week. But I felt a lil spicy and decided to add something from honey when you call my name (prev snippet here) I’m not 100% happy with all of it but here we are.

Never in Eddie’s wildest dreams did he anticipate how desperate — how responsive — Buck would be just from kissing and barely anything else. He had hoped and imagined, but the sight before him is truly a gift.

How many times has he himself longed to take their casual touches and turn them into something else? Something more. Something he’s certain would be all consuming, that he would let devour him.

All Eddie knows right now is the citrus vanilla sunshine scent of Buck surrounding him. The way Buck tries to roll his hips even though he can’t because Eddie’s still got him pinned to the counter. Every twitch, gasp and whine is angelic and holy to Eddie’s ears. A chorus he aches to hear composed into a divine litany of pleasure, written in the key of Buck’s rasps and moans.

“Baby.” The pet name falls effortlessly from Buck’s mouth. Eddie’s not even sure he realizes he said it. “Need- need you.”

Buck’s fingers curl around the hem of Eddie’s shirt, blunt nails scraping against the skin. Christ, Eddie could drop to his knees right now. But Buck deserves better. I'm so looking forward to iroh and zuko properly talking and seeing irohs reaction to zuko being gay.

Like we all know he doesn't agree with the fire nation rn but how will he react?

Will he not support him cause sokkas a guy? Will he not support him because it's SOKKA? Will he accept him? Will he reveal he's known for years zuko was gay?

Especially with everything that happened with zhao, regarding to what jee said to bato on their date. (Which is a very understandable perspective, zuko just got out of this very sexually traumatising situation and almost immediately starts a relationship (his first relationship) with sokka, but then again it is a very unique situation)

One thing I love about some atla fics is how they portray the FNs thoughts on queerness, cause on one hand they were one of the only country's (I think) that treated men and women the same but then again it's also the fucking fire nation.

And I also think zukos whole canon arc can be very comparative to queerness,

His dads an asshole and after speaking out against him he throws him out, and zuko try's for 3 years to regain his father's love and acceptance, and then faced with the opportunity of regaining it takes it immediately regardless of who or what he may hurt (iroh, his own morals etc) but once he makes it back home realises how fucked up everything is and eventually confronts his dad and openly tells him he doesn't agree with him then runs aways.

I also wonder if iroh secretly knows jee is queer it doesn't seem that likely to me but it also is iroh so who knows.

I do think Iroh’s reaction will be a big moment for not only the story but for Zuko’s character development. Right now, Zuko’s technically still a prisoner, holding himself there by assuming Iroh will not understand or judge him when in reality he’ll never know what his uncle is thinking until they TALK ABOUT IT. (Which the FN royal family is just sooo good at healthy communication I don’t understand why this is so hard for them lol?!)

I do agree that the suddenness of the relationship combined with the intensity from both zuko and Sokka is very alarming for people looking at it from the outside (I mean we all totally get it cause we were there but others are like uhhhh hmmmm ok this might be concerning) so I get them gossiping and wondering if this is truly real or what the fucks going on with those boys.

I love Zukos canon arc because there’s just so much about zukos story that can be relatable no matter who you are and I think that’s why he is a fan favorite (it doesn’t explain why we torture him the way we do but ehhhh it’s fine haha)

Hmmmmmm does iroh know Jees gay? Depends on how saucy those music nights got ;)

I was going to put this in your ask box bc I didn’t intend for it to be long….but it is and I have to put it as it’s own post lol.

So Do you remember the Hercules song fic of “Love Me I Beg” and breakdown for how it fits him? If not here it is again. When I made that post, I was thinking of doing a fic for Hercules and MC friendship and everything that I mentioned…but it’s not coming together properly. The only part I have done, which I thought would be nice to share, is a scene where MC and him are arguing about something he did or said. Like how he believes he himself is not as great as others bc he’s a demigod (even tho he doesn’t say it directly like that bc of pride and he has to be a Man and can’t be emotional) and MC will not stand for it. She may not like him very much, but she sees the person in him (though it’s difficult to) and she sees the insecurity and she hates how it contorts him and hurts him and others. His own feelings hurt others around him, whether he truly believes that or not or doesn’t even realize it.

They get into the argument of MC saying he shouldn’t hate on humans or monsters bc he sees them as different and ‘weak’, because he’s just been raised to see things that way and has this insecurity fueled by the others around him for millennia. He can change and be different and can alter his view and be better. But he keeps arguing on and on, and at some point I have the dialogue of MC getting fed up and pushed past her kindness saying,

“I don’t see a hero in you, all I see is a MONSTER!”

And then she leaves him with that slap in the face. Not physical…though I have considered it to happen to stand as a waking up call. But anyways it hits him hard mainly bc he’s all about taking auras and has taken monsters’ aura (and she knows about this. In this AU I see her being close friends with basically everyone so she knows the stories) but he understands she’s not talking about a monster, but a MONSTER MONSTER. An evil creature, and not a Hero he believes he is. At least, in my head Hercules sees himself as that because isn’t he Zeus’s hero? Like in literal terms like how Nyela was Aphrodite’s hero, isn’t Hercules Zeus’s hero? If not, then let’s pretend he is lol.

Anyways, it really hits him and makes him think of how he’s been raised. AND the other really hitting dialogue that makes him mad (but also really think™️ about things) is MC literally saying, “Your family has failed you,” bc she sees his opinions, learns more about the gods’ views from him, and begins to see the turmoil and problems he has and the harshness and ugliness of the gods and and see the awful ways he was raised and she can’t help but compare it to how her mother was so loving and accepting and encouraging and how his family SHOULD be like that and AGH. MC may not like him, but she wants to help. But she also is like “and I mean if you could give the auras back…” since she loves the monsters in my AU lol.

But, yeah, I just have these two pieces of dialogue (and a few others if you’d like to hear about them) and kinda ideas for them. That I need to write one day bc it’s one of the thoughts in my head constantly and I need to get it out😭.
