you were all building the canon again whilst being informed you weren’t even halfway through and already 40 minutes in “high score” “well it’s definitely high” “Y/N??” “coming tubbo hang on my shoelace came undone” after tying your shoelace you grabbed a wheel and caught up to tubbo “if you go over tubbo ill pass it over to you and we can keep doing that” this method worked well for you both tubbo would climb over you would pass the wheel and middle part of the canon then climb over and repeat the process you heard Tommy in the background complaining about the fact he’s wearing jeans and jacks response “Yeah but I’m wearing jeans” “tubbo and y/n are almost done and you’re complaining about jeans” “jean boy pops off” “I'M WEARING JEANS AS WELL QUIT COMPLAINING” “Can we just go home and play smash bros” “Tommy this was your idea I didn’t even get on an option” “Sorry about that y/n but you get to spend time with me and gogy” “lucky me” you weren’t going to lie this was hard work and you were exhausted you felt like you could just fall asleep right where you were stood however tubbo wasn’t going to let that happen “I’m never going on an adventure with Tommy again” “me either” this of course was bullshit and you were both going on another adventure soon you stood watching your friends struggle to get over the obstacles you decided to offer your support and went to help jack and George using a similar method to that you used with tubbo “thanks y/n” “anytime” “y/n you could have helped me, tubbo pulled me over I could have been injured” “very sorry to hear that sergeant simons sucks to suck I guess” you all reassembled the canon tested it and ran to the next obstacle “I hate it here” “there’s a storm on the way” “Thanks, y/n for the input” “welcome George” you all noticed the net luckily you didn’t have to disassemble the canon this very well could be because you were running far behind and a storm was on its way. you watched as the others went through and joked about tubbo losing his shoe and Tommy getting stuck, this obstacle wasn’t made for you either as you kept getting caught on the net “I'VE BEEN CAUGHT AGAIN” jack lifted the net for you again so you could easily crawl through “thank you jack” you all then made it to the next obstacle Tommy crawled on the metal bars with you following after him whilst George used the monkey bars once you all made it across you had to walk across many metal planks used to form a bridge Tommy walked close behind you knowing you were extremely clumsy and didn't want you to fall “irl nettles” “The fuck are you on about Tommy I don’t think you’re following my advice about going outside” you all dissembled the canon as you got to the tires the only difference this time was you needed to climb over them “it’s rather windy” “there’s dirt in my eye” like before you and tubbo used the same method “look at them go” “I LIKE A DA BEE” “I'M SCARED OF BEES” “oh okay” “Why do they keep taking the plank” “I don’t know tubbo just takes it and y/n follows” you both finished rather quickly and neither of you got injured or fell “really good job you two” “thank you Mr military” you stood leaning on tubbo watching George pick up random rocks and put them into his pocket similar to what you had been doing the entire way around the course “I don’t think George or y/n have been outside before they keep picking things up like souvenirs” “Y/N GEORGE HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN THE RAIN BEFORE” both of you just stared at Tommy making him laugh you helped the others get across the tires and even helped prevent Tommy from falling a couple of times. unfortunately, you ended up twisting your ankle but tried to ignore it not wanting to ruin the vlog for anyone, not that you would have, however it was clear you were in pain as you had started limping. one at a time you all crossed the rope “This is me climbing I am climbing” you cheered everybody on and then it was your turn

unlike the others the rope kept shaking as you walked across mainly because you were scared of falling and in pain all whilst trying to rush, this was clearly your least favourite obstacle of the day “take your time y/n don’t fall” “thank you jack I'm trying my best I promise” once at the end of the rope, Tommy took the wheel off you and helped you get down and pulled you into a quick side hug “you’re doing great let’s go we’re almost done” you knew your friends wouldn’t make you continue if you really didn’t want to however you were nearly finished and was determined to finish. you all reassembled the canon and made your way to the next obstacle

“there’s no way we’re getting through that without twanging a rope” “good luck” you and tubbo made your way through the ropes trying not to hit them, this proved to be a pretty impossible task and you ended up twanging the ropes several times, this mixed with everyone else’s failure to cross without hitting the rope meant you all had to do 20 push-ups, after reassembling the canon twice as you all didn’t do it correctly the first time and testing it you all had to do the push-ups “I’m sure y/n and George only did 3” “sorry bossman”

you all were finally making your way to the last obstacle determined to finish “Big Russ can we go to McDonald's after this” “sure” the five of you cheered and ran the last obstacle quickly disassembling the canon, you led the way over the obstacle tubbo Tommy jack and George following behind you, despite tubbo losing his shoe and George going backwards the five of you quickly completed the obstacle and reassembled and tested the canon running over to the finishing line

you all finally completed it and waited for your result ��45 minutes easily” “1 hour 11 minutes and 46 seconds” “no way that’s a world record” “well we tried” the five of you stood telling people to subscribe before ending the recording and making your way back to the car

the car ride back felt a lot longer than the way there. you were all exhausted

“how’s your ankle” “it’s not too bad it’ll probably hurt more tomorrow morning”

“I'm still not over Tommy trying to kill me and tubbo” “I didn’t try to kill you” “sure” the rest of the journey was chaos you all screamed along to the songs on the radio eventually you all got to McDonald's and spent the rest of the night enjoying each other’s company.

Connection and Barriers

Listen listen listen I’m just thinking about art choices and framing and such

And thanks to @dabisdoodles cleaning the cover (thank you so much for doing that and I hope you don’t mind me talking about it), I’ve noticed the background

And how bits of the red and green are in each others space

Especially because a few of those splatterings extend all the way to the character’s side (like the red dot closest to Izuku and the tiny green dot in Shiggy’s red)

Again, here is the same thing on the other side

I really think this choice was made to show connection and involvement

That they are getting more involved with each other; Izuku seeking out Shiggy to help him and Shiggy seeking Izuku out to steal his quirk (and maybe eventually seeking him out for other things)

This cover, overall, just shows so much connection

The hands connecting and overlapping each other, reaching for the other in different yet similar ways

The wonder and recognition in their eyes. If they are looking at each other (which is largely implied), it’s that acknowledgement of the other

“Oh, it’s you again. I know you”

Both of them having capes but also the fact that those capes join in a circle, which really reminds me of yin and yang

Also, if we’re looking at color here, Izuku’s green and yellow with Shiggy’s white and red, yet the background is purely black. Kind of like the image is saying “Yes Shiggy is a Villain and Izuku is a Hero but, beneath those titles, they are just people”

The one thing that isn’t actually connected (not fully anyway) are the hands

Sure, the pinkies and thumbs connect and so do the wrists, but the actual palms aren’t touching. Which, fair, because Shiggy hasn’t been saved yet so there’s no reason for them to be really shown holding hands yet

But the thing is, take a look at what is in the palms

Shiggy has a hole in his, indicating that he has the AFO quirk and therefore is more connected to being a Villain because of his affiliation with AFO

Izuku has his hero suit on, therefore he has his gloves that cause a barrier and prevents skin-on-skin contact. This could also imply that Izuku is more connected to being a Hero and is more affiliated with the Hero side

Both of these things are barriers to actually joining hands

And then, when we look at the original cover again

There’s the title literally causing a barrier between the hands

It’s the whole Hero-Villain Dichotomy again

The titles of Hero and Villain are what’s separating the two. The opposing sides, their loyalties and their ideals are what’s preventing them from meeting in the middle

(Also, there’s the speculation of if the AFO quirk works over clothes. It’s a little ambiguous as to what is happening in this cover, but if Shiggy is reaching to Izuku to take his quirk and Izuku has his gloves on, could that also be seen as preventing something? So the cover could show Shiggy reaching to take OFA and Izuku preventing that by covering his skin? Idk)

But one thing is very certain; this cover is about connection, and I think it’s also about how labels can be a barrier to seeing the real issues underneath

Hell, even the title itself suggests that. “My Hero Academia” is a title showing that the series is about Heroes and Villains, so again, their ideals and chosen sides prevent them from seeing deeper

I mean. Maybe I’m just analysing a little too deeply but... this is what I gathered from that cover

I’m absolutely about to sing praises here because @dabisdoodles​ totally did such a good job cleaning the cover. From the splatters of color to showing how the capes create a circle, they did such a freaking good job! To get all those details from this cluttered original??

Geez. Tbh I wasn’t even sure if there were actually any splatterings of color until I looked closer and saw them (dude how did you even see that?? how good are your eyes??)

Anyway I just really love this cover and the art and aaaaaaaaaaa I’m utterly in love with it

This episode was amazing

First, the bad things: Boba Fett and Bo-katan Kryze.

What left me really confused was the inconsistency of Bo-katan. She is a woman of tradition, as showed by her history with the darksaber, but when she confronted Boba she told him that he wasn't a true Mandalorian, then hinting the at the fact that it was because he was a clone. One of the best known Mandalorian tradition, after "kill everything that moves", is "adopt everything that moves". For Boba, Jango was his father, and according to Mandalorian culture, Jango was his father: Jango accepted Boba as his kid and realised him in the Mandalorian ways, thus, being Jango a Mandalorian, Boba is a Mandalorian, and Bo-katan saying such things makes no sense for her character.

Now to the good things

No one died: I may seem to be overreacting, but I really thought we were gonna loose a lot of people. I was sure that at least one mando was gonna die (I heard a lot of people theorize that Boba had been brought back just so he could have a better death, I honestly thought that they were gonna kill blue mando girl for drama in the middle of the episode, when Gideon shot Bo-katan I honestly thought she was gonna be dea??) and some other secondary character too.

Tie fighters: I just love when they go aaaaaaaaaaa

Dark troopers: they did a very good job in my opinion, they looked scary as hell, and when we first got rid of them I knew they were gonna come back, but we really got in the mind of the characters and go dragged away and forgot about them, and the suspense when they came back was maybe a but too long, but it really made you feel the hopelessness that everyone felt in that moment

The darksaber: first things first, I loved to see Din and Gideon fight: it wasn't the type of saber fight we're used to, it was a bit slow and less acrobatic and it showed perfectly how the two of them are not Jedi, they're just simple men with long sticks that know how to fight. Now Din is the rightful owner of the darksaber, and I think that the possibility of him having to to deal with being the rightfull ruler of mandalore is beautiful. Also him not wanting to fight Bo shows us how much of a softie he actually is and I love it.

Luke Skywalker: as soon as the X-Wing landed and the dark troopers turned to him I knew it was him. I honestly hoped we also got to see Cal Kestis but I do love to see my favourite twink on screen. We have a lot of ways the story can go now that Grogu is with Luke, and we will have some really nice things next seasons I'm sure. Also the way he killed the dark troopers? Awesome

Grogu and Din: the Child asked for the permission of his dad and honestly that was beautiful. I loved it. Upon seeing him maybe for the last time, Din said fuck death watch and decided that his ad'ika deserved to actually see his face and that broke my heart and was so sweet.

R2D2: best droid ever. Love him. Best character in the star wars universe. Was in the episode for two minutes and it made it 100 times better.

Boba and Fennec: they now rule the hutt influence in Tatooine? Whatever is coming in 2021? I love it.

Survivor Winners at War Ep 12 Recap

We’re getting close to the end! In this episode, man I knew I shouldn’t have manifested anything, look what happened now...

So after the Sophie vote, Tony’s got some explaining and damage control to do. And oh my god, I love how the episode starts with Sarah on her confessional going “Ok Sarah, be calm, don’t blow up”, and then THIS

I feel the italianness to my bones.

And I really love to see these two together cause aaaaa they’re just so good. Cause like, Tony very much took out one of Sarah’s closest allies in Sophie, but he really managed to make her feel safe and secure and like they still have a trusting bond (which, they very much do!). And as for Sarah, yeah she can scream at him but she was like “I’ll be with you, until I’m sunk and then I’ll sink you too, no mercy” WHICH IS GREAT, cause she can very much benefit from their mutual partnership!

UGH THEY0RE BOTH JUST SO GOOD I LOVE THEM.

And then Tony goes to calm down Ben which ALSO WORKS, although Ben is still very much not wanting to talk to Jeremy. Also Tony gets pooped on by a bird. They are in the jungle, after all.

Because everything is wonderful, we get more Crazy Tony stuff, and after a quick recap of THE SPY SHACK and THE SPY BUNKER (rip) we see the birth of THE SPY NEST.

And god, did I mention how much I love the Tony and Sarah buddy cop partnership?

Can y’all spot Tony? Where could he be!

(Also Sarah saying “if Tony was my partner in real life, one of us would get fired.” Please, I need Sarah and Tony buddy cop comedy PLEASE).

In other news, Miss Kim planted the idea of getting rid of Tony, which...is a very sound idea, considering the dude is doing really well. He does have an idol, but you can always hope to blindside him, and now could be a good time...

Back in Depression Island, it’s Log Challenge 2: Electric Boogalo, coconut edition! Y’all remember the one where they had to bring back a bunch of logs one at a time? Well, they gotta do that again! But with coconuts! Oh, and only the first six actually get tokens. Time to go!

Adam is such a mood. Also, love how even in EoE, the show is like we WILL keep making fun of Adam, bet on it dfjkdfhkdj (him getting lapped, and then seeing Wendell jump from rock to rock and going “huh?? how did you do that?? dkfjhdkh relatable king).

Natalie is being a total Queen, and everyone is like “yo Natalie is killing it” which SHE IS. Then people get injured, too, which scared the CRAP out of me like PLEASE ROB AND DANNI DON’T DIE HERE.

In the end, the placements are Natalie, Sophie, Yul, Parv and Tyson, and Wendell, all with tokens (also then Rob went and tried to complete the challenge, even when it was over, which...I mean good for you dude, but don’t tire yourself over nothing! Save energy for the challenge!)

Back in the game, it’s idol hunting for everyone, now that Sophie’s idol is back in play. Ben and Tony are kind of searching together, and Ben finds the idol and...tries to hide it really obviously, to which Tony is like “dude, I’m right here I can see you lmao” which KDHGKHDKFHDK I love him a lot.

So yeah, Ben gets the idol and is trying to put Tony at ease, cause everyone wants Tony out right now. Also we get this:

Now it’s challenge time--the good ole classic “stand with your arm chained to a rope tied to a bucket full of water” but with a twist of standing on a narrow beam--and.........sigh.......I have issues.

So, there were two immunity necklaces, one for the last woman, and one for the last man. Obviously everyone wants to vote for Tony (at least the vast majority), so you gotta make sure he doesn’t lose, right?

But then what happens is that Jeff comes out with cookies and peanut butter...and all hell breaks loose. First Michele stands down, ok whatever, BUT THEN...KIM STANDS DOWN AS WELL? KIM!? That makes Denise win immunity cause Sarah was out, but KIM...you’re putting together the plan, you’re a Big Threat in everyone’s book...WHY THE HELL ARE YOU DOING THIS?

AND THAT’S NOT ALL. Then Nick tells Tony that he’ll let him win if he gives him one token, and when Tony says yes HE STEPS DOWN, TOO!? FOR FUCKING COOKIES!? WHAT THE HELL ARE Y’ALL DOING!?

So yeah, Tony challenge beast confirmed, y’all are fucking stupid lmao.

People are now trying to go for the second plan, aka Jeremy, but Ben goes and snitches on Tony about them trying to blindside him, and he goes and confronts Nick which dfjkdhkj MAN IT’S SO OBVIOUS. But yeah, Tony finds out it was Kim that tried to bring together the plan, so he goes after her.

BUT he has to try to convince Ben, which is SO deadset on Jeremy, but DAMN HE FUCKING DOES SUCH A GREAT JOB. It’s still like oh which way will they go? But it’s could happen...

And then...Michele gives Jeremy her 50/50 coin? I’m...? What? I mean yeah, he’s your ally, but you’re gonna VOTE FOR HIM AS WELL? To vote with the “majority”? Girlie, Idk...

Then it’s TC time, and I love how when they mention that Kim, Michele and Nick all dropped out for cookies, Parv is like:

LITERALLY ALL OF US AT HOME WATCHING. WTF.

And then it’s...well, it’s a whisperfest again, VERY chaotic, very convoluted and confusing...but there were more subtitles with time! Yay!

When it’s time, Jeff goes “Anyone wants to play anything do it now or find out”, and OH SHIT, first Tony says “Wait a minute Jeff”, and then he’s almost gonna play it for Sarah but she goes “No dude, don’t do it” and AAAAAAAAAAA HOW BALLSY (I guess you gotta trust your alliance, but AAAA SARAH DON’T SACRE ME LIKE THAT).

And then Jeremy ALMOSTTT playing the 50/50 but ALSO not doing it, and in the end THEY WERE ALL RIGHT, cause Kim got voted out. And listen, I’m SO SAD I love Kim to pieces, she’s so hot, but either Tony or Kim was gonna lose this episode, Tony was immune and it ended up being Kim. At least it was entertaining.

Gravity Falls S02E11 - Not What He Seems

These past few days have been a constant struggle between my desire of watching this episode and waiting a couple more days until I felt better because if it is what I hope it is (answers!) I wanted to be in top shape for it. But I'm finally here! And with that title, it _has_ to be about Stan, "Stan is not what he seems" was the first hidden message of the show after all. So, let's do this!

That's a really bright vending machine. How has no one in town noticed Stan's house lighting up the night?

I'm guessing that the laptop's counter is the same as this one.

The origin of the name "Gravity" Falls?

The picture with the twins is always in frame when Stan talks about the project, here and in previous episodes. I mentioned before that a theory I have is that Stan had a twin that screwed up everything (Dipper style) and he's trying to rescue him so it may be that the focus on the picture is to show _why_ he's doing this somewhat indirectly.

The other alternative is that he's doing it to somehow help the twins but I'm not sure how that would work. Unless whatever he's doing is going to help prevent Bill's prophesied disaster? Although, maybe _this_ is the disaster and everything is going to go to hell in 17 hours (with nine episodes to go? hmm)

Three keys and three protagonists? 100% going to happen at some point.

The shorter op song feels wrong even if probably means a good episode if they needed those extra 30 seconds.

Yeaaah, this is just making me believe more and more that something is going to go horribly wrong and it'll be Stan's fault somehow.

uuh, foreshadowing?

What could it be?

I know he's "not what he seems" but what could the kids find out that they'd freak out? I doubt they'd really care about the portal, in fact they'd love it. Maybe he's not actually "Stan"? The episode about Soos's dad and the resolution could work as foreshadowing in that case, since what really matters is who was there for the twins.

And he's dead.

"doomsday device" would actually be a pretty good reason for the kids to freak out.

Wouldn't the government be listening in? Wouldn't Stan definitely know this if that was the case? I can't decide if this is a trap for the government to lure them in or he trusts that no one is spying him.

...but they have parents.

They are really making me lean into "he's not actually Stan" but if he's not Stan how does he know the twins' parents? His identity can't just be a "Stanford Pines" fake id, so he needs those ids for something else.

"Rookie cop" could be Blubs and "leg warmers" really situates this in the past. Maaaybe 30 years ago?

Okay... okay. Let me think about what we know so far.

So, "The Author" was the original "Stan". He built something with McGucket that he believed would help humanity (maybe related to Bill's prophecy?) but something went wrong and he vanished and McGucket erased his own memories. Our Stan assumed Stan's identity (including the Mystery Shack?) and tried for 30 years to (re)build something (the same machine?) to somehow bring Stan (his brother?) back making little progress until Dipper found the missing journal.

I think that's the timeline with a little speculation to fill in the missing details. My main question is... why would Grunkle Stan need to steal the original Stan's identity to the point of faking his death? The only thing I can think of is that the original Stan vanished in such a way that Grunkle Stan looked like he killed him so the only way to make it less suspicious for him was to (unsuccessfully?) make it look like an accident.

_And_ in all the fake ids he looked younger so maybe he already knew how to assume fake identities (maybe he was a spy? He _did_ spent a time in a Colombian prison...), assuming his brother's was just one more job. A 30-year long job.

Oh no, the twins are going to think (very naturally) that Stan stole the real Stan's identity as some sort of scam. I hope they remember the lesson from Soos's episode.

Stan being a retired super spy is looking more and more plausible.

C'mon Dipper, you already learned back in Dreamscaperers about how jumping to conclusions about Stan kinda doesn't work out.

And bad for my theory about this being the same machine that The Author built and that made him disappear. Unless the universe did tear apart 30 years ago, swallowing him up but the machine stopped just in time to prevent "Total Global Destruction"?

All this time I assumed The Author had been the one to screw up but if he knew the machine couldn't be activated that'd mean that Our Stan was the one who did it (maybe he _was_ a criminal and he couldn't resist the knowledge that the machine promised?) And he has been trying to get him back not only because he's his brother but because he feels guilty about it. Guilty enough to risk the earth? He _has_ been saying that it's "all worth it" a whole lot...

I bet he was deceived by Bill.

That's a really solid joke.

Was "Stan Prime" trapped in a Mad Max dimension? How did Grunkle Stan avoid destroying the universe? Unless he did and now they are in another, identical, universe?

Wow. I don't have a lot to write that I didn't already during the liveblog but whooooo, he _was_ his brother. Now give me all the answers for everything else!

The episode was incredible. The countdown was a great plot device to maintain the tension all the way through. I'm not sure if the writers intended the viewers to actually distrust Stan but they definitely did their job to make Dipper's reaction to him completely believable. He's "the smart one" and all the factual clues point to Grunkle Stan being a criminal who stole Stan's identity. But Mabel is the one who can see beyond the "truth" and realizes that even if Stan is not the man he says he is, he _is_ her Grunkle Stan and she can trust him.

Since we have a little less than half the season left this definitely wasn't the thing that Bill was talking about. Are they going to have to prepare for that now? Maybe the portal let _other_ things through besides Stan?

I'm still learning with enthusiasm both on/offline, practicing ice hockey twice a week, busy playing with friends, wrestling with my cats, cooking for dinner, also go to therapy to relieve my depression. I'm doing great.

Let's quick updates

I'm getting taller. If last year I was the shortest kid in the class now I'm almost on par with them.

I dyed my hair darker rofl. No special reason I just want to look fresh. I did it on my birthday, on my bedroom with Jihye imo. Not only my friends, Ibu and Samchon were screaming hysterically and said it suited me perfectly 🧒🏻

I've dared to take the train out of town by myself. Of course Ibu dropped me off to get checked in and Samchon/Samchon Appa picked me up at Busan station. It was an interesting experience for me because I met new people sitting next to my chair, they were all very kind.

At my new age I learned to be more sincere to let go of things that I can't control. My psychiatrist said that instead of being sad alone, I better focus on what I can do now, just be present. Not yet Because they don't necessarily want to know what's going on yourself.

I have a new cousin his name is Wasa! Congratulations to Paman Bagus and Nari Imo. I have a Taurus bff now! I'm glad that Niyang and Kakiyang will be staying here while Nari Imo is on maternity leave 🕺🏻

Apart from Eid which coincides with my birthday, this month we are very happy because we are going on vacation. Ibu with 93-94 line, Samchon with 88-89 line also with his dance crew. Me? Staycation at Busan with Mapo gang 🤪 This is my second time going on vacation without parents, the first one was last winter with my ice hockey team.

This month was my very first interview for a small job. I was so excited then makes me couldn't sleep for 2 nights and on the D day my body dropped and went to the clinic in the morning. just eat, sleep, take medicine and repeat hoping that in the afternoon I'm feeling better but it's said no hahahaha. However the interview went goodl, what I learned in the morning was predictable. Ya you know, I'm a fast learner - it doesn't take me long to proceed what I'm learning even though i'm not feeling well - but it takes me 2 days to prepared my mental. Sick.

I managed to play the saxophone after learning auto for 2-3 months. The saxophone belongs to Samchon Appa, still in good condition but rarely played. Mom always gave up on playing wind instruments but I did it this time! Achievements unlocked!

We as a family are not fans of romantic dramas until the scene of Park Jungil and Koo Ryeon in Tomorrow made us scream loudly. Not infrequently we parody it irl. AAAAAAAAAAA its so strange, isn't it? How could we change just because of those ancient romance scenes 😬 But that still doesn't apply to other dramas. We just love Park Jungil's Koo Ryeon couple!

Unlike Ibu it turns out that I like Eid cakes, especially kue putri salju. We made it once it tasted worst even scorched and looked like a lunar eclipse 🌚

I used to close myself when my depression symptoms started to show but now I dare to open up and my friends always support me and accompany me anytime. THANKS A LOT Samchon for changing me better. Thanks Ibu for introducing me to Samchon. Thanks Mr. Woo for not give up when I often ask for a break or not even notify at all. Jihyuk hyeong, Donggu hyeong, Sejeong, Inha Noona - Mapo gang, thanks for being here 🖤 I may feel tired but those around me are definitely more exhausted, I really appreciate you guys. You all are more than enough for me.

"Sofa!"

The small ginger man called out in a state of rush. They had an advertising deal and he had to find his big friend. He checked the kitchen, seeing Sofa binging on some chips while scrolling through his phones.

Sofa sensed himself being watched and looked over.

"Oh hey Remi! What's up?" he wondered.

"We have that ad deal we gogta do," Remi grabbed his arms as he explained. He got Sofa to his feet and dragged him to the recording room as Sofa tapped the last few crumbs and salt from the bottom of the bag. "We need to get it done before tomorrow afternoon and we gotta go over the script again, check for bugs, do voice over practice, and work on the movements! We have too much to do to be dillydallying!"

Sofa nodded, now understanding the situation. In the pink padded room, Tila was drinking some juice, adjusting her microphone. Dodo was stretching, getting ready, finishing with hopping in place. "Okay!" Remi announced, everyone gazing at him. "Let's do this one more time! Dodo, watch your footing, Tila stay hydrated, Sofa."

He grabbed a snack cake from the editor's hand. "No snacks until we're done."

"Awww no fun…"

Still, Sofa took his place behind his desk, computer screen turned on and the program ready. Then, without Remi looking, he opened a drawer and took out a few licorice ropes, nibbling on them.

"Tila."

"Ready!" Tila gave a nod, giving what seems to be a thumbs up. Or it could be her flipping him off. It was hard to tell with her long sleeves.

"Dodo."

"Mmhmm," he merely acknowledged the callout. He drank down an energy drink called 'Pastel Pearls.' It was a Sayu branded drink.

"Sofa."

"Yup!" Sofa quickly swallowed his food before talking. He was not going to get caught eating, even though he knew he could sneak in a bon bon every now and then. However… "Um wait…"

Everyone looked in his direction as he looked at his computer screen. He… didn't see Sayu pop up. She usually did when ready for advertising. She loved it! But… his screen was empty and blank. "Sayu… where is Sayu?"

Remi looked at Sofa as if he was eating a shoe and rushed over. There were folders of designs, coding screens on the side, a tap for animes to watch this summer, but… no Sayu.

"Sayu!?"

Remi was a perfectionist. If one line in his drawing was out of place, then it was ruined. He could tear it up, no matter the progress made on it. So Sayu not showing up was like the world was ending. "Are you kidding me!? Is she sick!? Hurt!? What's going on!?"

"I'll send her a message," Sofa offered. He opened a notepad, added some coding, then typed. 'Hey Sayu! :3 Remi is kiiiinda freaking out :O Where are you? Are you hurt? <:( Please let us know (that was supposed to be sad eyebrows, not a hat)'

He waited, Remi clutching his chair. It had taken fair abuse from Remi's stress, from being squeezed until chunks were missing to being thrown against the wall from many many many coding errors. Then, a text was sent back.

'I'm not doing the ad'

"What!?" Remi clutched his hair, threatening to rip it out of his scalp. Tila quickly ran over and gently held his hands, then looked at Dodo.

"Dodo?"

He came over and offered his arm, Remi squeezing it, fingernails digging into his skin.

"Huh? Maybe she's sick…" Sofa thought. But then Sayu appeared on the screen. She had a pout on her face, arms crossed and a glare in her eye. Well, half a glare. She was too cute to be scary.

"I don't wanna!" she grunted.

"Why not?" Tila asked. "Are you sick?"

"Nu uh! I just don't wanna!"

"Are you hurt?" Dodo winced, Remi still squeezing the life out of his arm.

"No! I just don't wanna!"

"Why…!?" Sofa begged to know. She only puffed her cheeks and turned away, sticking her nose up. Sofa tried calling her, but she didn't respond. He used his mouse to click on her, but when that got a giggle from the little mermaid… he smiled.

"Now Sayu… if you can't think of a reason to tell us, I can't think of a reason to not tickle you," he pointed out with glee. The others matched his face, Remi even loosening his grip. Sofa dug into his desk and got out three more mice, distributing them among his friends.

"N-no you can't! I-I'm not ticklish! You can't get me if I'm not ticklish! Can you!?"

"Not ticklish?" Dodo sneered. "Well why are you scared if you're not ticklish? Surely, you shouldn't be afraid."

"Yeah! If you're not, then you know this will end very quickly!" Tila giggled.

"Or you could tell us what's going on," Remi added. But when she didn't react to that with nothing but a huff, they knew what had to be done.

Dodo moved his mouth first to get to the end of her tail, clicking it rapidly. She breathed in with a gasp, but held her breath. 

Sofa chuckled softly and ran his mouse over her belly, clicking and holding it, making it feel like a finger being dragged across her skin.

"EEEEE!!!! Noohohohooo! Staahahahaap!!!" she wiggled in place.

"Oh! So you ARE ticklish!" Remi snickered. He used his mouth to tickle her neck all around. She tried to grab it to make it stop, but he kept moving it. Neck, sides, armpits, neck, cheek, belly, sides, all random order. She couldn't keep up.

Tila was the last to tickle her, but she held up one of Sayu's arms, smiling at Sofa. He grinned back and scrolled up and down her sides, up to her armpit and down to her hip. This created a bubbly squeal from her lips, trying to use her free arm to wave off the mice. But Dodo grabbed her other hand and held it up, Remi enjoying exploring her other side. Now she was more vulnerable than before.

"Staaaahaahahahahaahaaaaap!!! Pleeheeheeheeheease!!! T-too-eeheeheeheee!!! Too muhuhuhuhuch!! T-t-teeheheeheeeckles!! Teeheheeheeckles!!!"

"Mm campaign on calling tickles teeheeckles? Say aye," Dodo smiled with a devious look in his eyes. This would only fluster Sayu further.

"Aye," Tila nodded.

"Aye," Sofa agreed.

"Aye!" Remi piped up.

"Nuuhuuhuuhuu!!" Sayu was the only one who disagreed, but they knew they would do it anyway.

They poked and clicked at random places, getting different reactions from her. Sides? She screamed out in wheezy spurts. Ribs? She jolted at every rib ribbed. Belly? She almost melted into the touch, but still pretended to shy away, but she was no actor.

The best spot they liked to tease was her back. She would gasp and scream, bending backwards, making her belly exposed. This caused one of them to tickle her belly in circles. This made her jolt forward, but then the same person got into her back. She would flop around like a fish at this point.

"You have such an angelic laughter, Sayu," Remi beamed.

She could only snort.

"Such a bubbly sound!" Tila added.

She squealed and blushed.

"Adorable fishy squirmies…!" Sofa piped in.

She could only squirm more, as if answering his comment.

"And the cutest mermaid we've ever known."

"OKAAHAHAHAHAY!!! OKAY I'M BEHEHEHEHEHETTER!!! I'M BETTER!!! PLEEHEEHEEHEEHEEASE!!!"

They all looked at each other, nodding respectfully and stopping. She curled in a heap of giggly madness.

"Heh we'll let you rest, Sayu," Remi told her. "I should call the studio and tell them we'll have to put back the date."

"Oh thank god!" Sofa breathed a sigh of relief. He took out some snack cakes and crammed them into his mouth.

"Hey lemme have one!" Tila gasped. He ran off with his arms full, Tila bolting after him. Dodo followed, his legs hurting from standing so long.

"Y-you… you don't want to know what's wrong…?" she asked Remi before he left. He could only grin and boop her nose with the mouse.

"Nah… I know you get like this sometimes. It happens every week," he told her.

"... Oh…" she looked away, ashamed. But he quickly put a smile on her face by poking her belly.

"Hey I still love you…!" he assured her. "You're my creation… my daughter even! No matter what, you'll always by my Sayu."

With a giggle subsiding, a bright smile took over her face as she hugged the mouse.

"Thanks… dad," her eyes sparkled with tears of happiness.

"Of course, my fishy."

Chapter 5 of New Rules is amazing! And the hug scene had touched me on an intimate level! This has given me the motivation to start my new series! I might upload a chapter tonight! I read that passage many times over while bundled up in my warm blankets just letting the emotions roll over me. This fic in general seemed quite light hearted while still including real life emotions but that scene made me feel the most things... emotions/pain/longing. Made me really crave an interaction like that. Omg... I am really shocked by how many people can relate and emphasize with something as simple as this hug scene... im really touched... bc in my mind, if you can feel emotionally connected to this hug, which i wrote, then it feels like we’ve shared something, like a hug ourselves

ive been having the worst few weeks w/ the sexual harassment thing and jonghyun’s passing and i wrote this scene as almost a therapeutic way to calm myself down and im so happy that you guys are able to share these feelings with me. I love you all
