One of them loses their mind when the other one is hurt and yet still charges recklessly into a fight.
We are back with drabbles! Who cheered!
ā€œGeorge, the titan!ā€ Dream screams but itā€™s already too late. Before George can even turn around, the titan has already grabbed him and thrown him towards the hill. He can hear George hit the ground with a sickening crack.
Immediately, Dream takes off towards him, subconsciously hearing explosions in the background. The titan roars in anger. But Dream is focussed on the pile of limbs laying a few hundred meters from him.
Before he can reach him, George is already on his feet again, limping towards the titan. His right arm is hanging uselessly from his side, blood trickling down the side of his face.
ā€œGeorge!ā€ Dream calls out but he is not listening to him, pulling out his sword and attacking the titanā€™s right foot. It doesnā€™t look as smooth as his usual fighting, his hits lacking their usual strength with only one hand gripping the sword.
ā€œYou fucking idiot," Dream mutters under his breath. ā€œNo self-preservation whatsoever.ā€
He pulls out his bow and starts shooting the titan from afar, hoping to distract him from the human trying to dodge his stomping. ā€œI am shooting him!ā€ he calls out as a warning. The last thing he wants is to accidentally injure George further.
George doesnā€™t acknowledge him, instead going for another strike while the titan is busy looking for Dream. The titan howls, swatting at George who throws himself to the ground, narrowly dodging the blow.
With the titan focussed on George again, Dream runs closer, pulling out his axe. He pulls George up and shoves him behind himself, swing the axe as hard as he can towards the foot trying to stomp them. He hears George hitting the ground behind him, groaning at the impact, but he doesnā€™t have time to turn around. All his thoughts are focussed on ā€œMust. Protect. George.ā€
The titan letā€™s out a pained breath as the axe buries its way into his heel. Dream knows they are too weak to fully kill him, but for now getting him to retreat would be enough.
When the titan stumbles on his feet, Dream charges a final time, swinging his axe towards the titanā€™s ankle. The force must have been enough, as the foot is severed from the rest of the body, dissolving immediately.
The titan roars in pain and anger, trying its best to not lose its balance. He tries to swat Dream one final time, before hopping away on its remaining foot.
Dream can hear the echo of the footstep slowly disappearing in the distance, but his thoughts are with George. He turns around and sees him sitting on the ground, his back propped up on a boulder.
Dream makes his way towards him, already pulling out medical supplies from his small backpack.
ā€œYou idiot,ā€ George groans once Dream kneels besides him. ā€œYou could have gotten yourself killed!ā€
Dream splutters, confused by Georgeā€™s anger. ā€œI couldā€™ve been killed? Dude, have you looked at yourself?"
"Donā€™t call me Dude,ā€ George mutters. ā€œItā€™s weird to call your boyfriend Dude.ā€
Dream presses an apologetical kiss to his shoulder and starts examining Georgeā€™s wounds. His right shoulder is dislocated, and he sprained his ankle but otherwise he is more or less unharmed. Dream lets out a breath he didnā€™t know he was holding and grabs Georgeā€™s right arm.
ā€œThis is gonna hurt," he warns, giving George just enough time to hide his face in Dreamā€™s neck before he adjusts his arm. George manages to keep himself from screaming but Dream fells him tensing up from the pain. He carefully hugs him close, soothingly rubbing his back. ā€œThere, itā€™s all fixed now," he whispers. ā€œYouā€™re gonna be fine.ā€
After a minute, George slowly pulls back to let Dream bandage his foot and put on the sling for his arm. ā€œThanks," he mutters, his expression unusually hard.
ā€œWhat?ā€ Dream asks. ā€œAre you still mad I went after you when you could barely stand on your own two feet?ā€
George glares at him. ā€œI am mad that you got into unnecessary danger just to save me. You cannot get killed, Dream. It would mean the end of the world as we know it, if the titan wins. And we both know that only happens when you die. I donā€™t matter.ā€
Dream lets his gaze drop to his lap, understanding now where George is coming from. ā€œGeorge," he sighs, cupping his face. ā€œYou have to understand that I do not care about anything but you. Nothing else matters to me. What does a perfect world help me if you are dead? You are all I need, darling.ā€
George just stares at him, his expression slowly softening and his body slumping forwards in Dreamā€™s hold. Dream presses a kiss to his forehead and pulls him close. Internally, he swears to himself to keep George save, come what may. He has his moon in his arms, and that is all that matters.

To those who wish for the destruction of Israel let us for a moment engage in a hypothetical, Israel is gone, the State of Israel is destroyed, the government gone, Zionism is dead in the water okay now what
Set aside what message that sends to various indigenous peoples about their rights to their ancestorial lands, about the idea of indigeneity essentially having a shelf life.
Set aside what that means for Mizrahi Jews, Ethiopian Jews, and just all Jews who came to Israel as refugees or are the children/grandchildren of those who came as refugees.
Okay what happens now.
Where do all the Jews go? How many of the Jews died? Because don't sit there and tell me that Jews and I'm talking civilians I'm talking children too won't be murdered in the streets and in their beds afterwards. So don't you dare try and tell me it won't happen.
Now do you know how many Jews live in Israel? Around 6 million so a large percentage of them get murdered and the rest now will kicked out and made into refugees tell what countries will take them in.
And what about the Diaspora Jews what will happen to us? How do you think we are going to take it. Do you think we will okay. Because each one of us will effected. We will all have someone we know either had someone killed, made into a refugee or both.
Tell me how many us are going into work, going to school, or you know functing.
Tell me do you know how many Jews exist in the world? There are around 15 million of us so we will experience a mass killing that will effect every single one of us, a devastation.
What do you think will be the short and long term effects of this.
Do you think any Jewish person will be able to trust anyone ever again. I don't.
I don't think you understand the fully what you calling for when you call for the destruction of Israel, what devastation you asking to be brought down, and who shall pay the very heavy price for it.
This is not even touching on the amount sexual violence that will happen and aftermath of that. This is not even touching on the likelihood of Diaspora Jews experiencing outbreaks of pogroms.
Just engage your brain for a moment if possible what happens after.

Story with an Alice in Wonderland like alternate world where the main character seems to think everything makes sense and somehow knows everything about the world sparking theories throughout the whole story where everyone in and out of story believes the main character may be originally from this alternate world until the last five minutes of the movie when itā€™s revealed that it was just a Benadryl induced fever dream

Bad: I donā€™t think people understand the effect QSMP had on some of the streamers in terms of likeā€¦ The real raw mental impact, so Iā€™m gonna set the stage for you. [...] Imagine that you were given a friend to play Minecraft with ā€” like your best friend ā€” BUT if this person dies, if they die in the game, you never get to talk to them again. Can you imagine what thatā€™s like?
Bad: If you did not live through the QSMP, if you did not live through that, it almost sounds like, crazy. But I donā€™t think people realize how much of a joyous experience the Eggs were. They were SO awesome! They were literally so awesome to just hang out with and spend time with.
Bad: Iā€™m not saying I regret it. To this day, I loved the experience. Iā€™d do it all over again in a heartbeat. Even knowing how everything went, I would still do it all over again. [...] I would still do it all over again, because ā€” even knowing like, all the trauma and sufferingĀ and stuff like that ā€” because it was justā€¦ It was just that fun, it was just that fun.
Tumblr media
Earlier today during his stream, Bad shared his experience and thoughts about the Eggs and the significant emotional (and traumatic) impact they had on him and his fellow QSMP members.
This clip a very edited-down version since his commentary was ~13 minutes long, so I highly recommend checking out Bad's VOD if you have the time. (Timestamp: 47:36 - 1:00:14)
[ Full Transcript ā†“ ]
ā€”ā€”ā€”
Bad: To be fair Chat, I really think the QSMP... I don't think anyone really can relate to it, Chat. It's something that's so... I've told people this before, likeā€“ but it's hard to understand. Right? Like...
Where was I? Sorry Chat, I'm losing my train of thought. Look, let me explain Chatā€“ here's the dealio, ok? Here's the dealio, and this is what I mean when I say like, it's important to keep this in mind, Chat. Ok? It's important to keep this in mind:
I donā€™t think people understand the effect that the QSMP had on like, some of the streamers, in terms of likeā€¦ The real raw mental impact, so Iā€™m gonna set the stage for you. This is the analogy Iā€™ve given to every person who Iā€™ve like, shared this with. Imagine you meet somebodyā€“ [He hears a strange noise] What the fudge was that? Did you hear that?
Anywayā€“ Chip! The story I was just relaying to Chat, Chip, was this: I was sharing this story with them, I saidā€“Ā  I was giving them an analogy.Ā
Imagine Chat, for example, imagine that you wereā€¦ playing Minecraft, with likeā€“ you were given a friend to play Minecraft with, Chat, like your best friend, and [unintelligible] were like, ā€œHey, you get to play Minecraft with this person, right? BUT if this person dies ā€“ theyā€™re currently your best friend, Chip ā€“ but if they die in the game, you never get to talk to them again. Ever again.ā€ Can you imagine what thatā€™s like, Chip?
I donā€™t think a lot of people understand like, what that does, right? Iā€™m not gonna say that like, it creates this situation, Chip, that like, messes with your head, but itā€“ Chip ā€“ but it totally, totally does, Chip. It messes with your head! It literally puts you in a position where youā€™re second-guessing and thinking about everything, Chip! Youā€™re thinking about EVERYTHING Chip! Ok? And thatā€™s the problem, Chipā€“ is you turn into a paranoid monster because of it, Chip! Like, you donā€™t understand Chipā€“ I was- I was so afraid of every dirt block, I used to carry a shovel with me Chip, and I would specifically right-click dirt blocks that looked suspicious because mines, Chipā€“ mines could not be shoveled! Like, I was crazy, Chip! But hereā€™s the problem, Chip: that craziness is still there. Iā€™m genuinely likeā€“
I remember thinking Chip, that I would one dayā€“ I was like, ā€œIā€™m going to move pastā€“ā€ here, letā€™s go up here, Chip. I remember thinking one day Chip, I was like, ā€œIā€™m gonna move past the underground base, one of these days. You know, one of these days, I feel like Iā€™ll be able to grow and achieve the desire to build a base that doesnā€™t have to be underground.ā€ But I donā€™t think itā€™s possible now Chip, because I thinkā€¦ I just donā€™t know. I feel like the paranoiaā€“ thereā€™s still like, residual leftover trauma from that situation, Chip.
But hereā€™s the problem Chip: I donā€™t think I donā€™t thinkā€“ I donā€™t think people understand it. Like, I just really donā€™t. But I also donā€™t blame them Chip, ā€˜cuz I donā€™t think itā€™s possible to fully understand it if you havenā€™t lived through it. Like, if you did not live through the QSMPā€¦ Iā€™m talking about the QSMP, I donā€™t- I donā€™t know if that was obviousā€“ if you did not live through that, it almost sounds like, crazy. But I donā€™t think people realize how much of a joyous experience like, the Eggs were. Right? I donā€™t think people realize it. Like, they were SO awesome! They were literally so awesome to just hang out with and spend time with, Chip. So, itā€™s just one of those things thatā€“
[Heā€™s interrupted by a loud rumble of thunder above them]
Did lightning just strike here? Is it thunderstorming outā€¦? But anyway, Chip. Thatā€™s the food for thought.
But thatā€™s the problemā€“ Like, every time it rains in Minecraft, I have to like, look at the sky, and I get this weird, like, second--hand vibe because of the trauma. The trauma, Chip! The trauma is real! But thatā€™s the pointā€“ Iā€™m not saying I regret it. I, to this day Chip, I loved the experience. Iā€™d do it all over again in a heartbeat. Even knowing how everything went, I would still do it all over again.Ā
[He falls down] Dangit, donā€™t come over here Chip, ā€˜cuz Iā€™m coming back up! Ok.
I would still do it all over again, because ā€” even knowing like, all the trauma and sufferingĀ  and stuff like that ā€” because it was justā€¦ It was just that fun, Chip, it was just that fun. I really wiā€“ I donā€™t think itā€™s ever gonna be possible, Chip, to give people that same energy, like that same experience. You know what I mean, Chip? I donā€™t think itā€™s ever gonna be possible again. Like, EVER.
Becauseā€¦ because like, one: I will say on one level Chip, I will say on one level, likeā€“ itā€™s sort of emotionally likeā€¦ Itā€™s emotionally devastating, and I think to actually go through thatā€“ and this is where like, if I ever do end up going to aā€“ see a therapist, if I ever do end up going to see a therapist at any point, Iā€™ll talk it over with them and be like, ā€œHey, what do you think about this?ā€ Because I genuinely think on one level, likeā€“ itā€™s created this fear of forming attachments because of like, how things can go. You know what I mean? Like, the fear of getting attached to something and then potentially losing it. Like, itā€™s- itā€™s a genuine thing. I think people forget about that.
Like, at the end of the day, everything was RP, right? On the server. You know what I mean? Like, everything was RP, Chip. BUT at the same point, even though it was RP Chip, it was still likeā€“ there the reality of you were still playing like, with another person, and you were still getting that experience, and it felt like you were genuinely attached to someone and you didnā€™t want anything bad to happen to them. It was GENUINELY stressful, Chip.
But at the same point, I donā€™t regret it, and I donā€™t think it was a bad experience. Iā€™mā€“Ā
Sometimes in life Chip, you go through stuff, and maybe you have a certain amount of like, things that like, can happen, that youā€™re like, ā€œYou know what, maybe this wasnā€™t a good thing that this happened,ā€ but at the same point, you still arenā€™t necessarily upset about it, becauseā€¦ itā€™s like growing as a person, right? Hereā€™s the thing Chip; even bad situations, Chip, can lead to an overall good outcome. Likeā€“
Even if youā€™re going through something bad Chip, just because a bad thing happens doesnā€™t mean that only bad things have to come from that. Thatā€™s one of the things I tell people all the time, Chip, is that if you go through a bad situation, you can learn from it, and you can use your experience to help others. And you can be thatā€“ you can be, at the worst-case scenario, you can be someone for other people who are going through that same experience to lean on when they go through that.I think thereā€™s a certain amount of comfort that comes from that; from knowing no matter how bad your situation is, youā€™re not the only person whoā€™s experienced it. You know what I mean?
#Badboyhalo#BBH#Bad#QSMP#January 8 2025#Edited#I know folks are going to add their two cents on this subject in the tags / comments / replies (and as always you're welcome to do that)#But for the sake of my sanity please don't be an asshole to any of the CCs / ex-admins / fellow fans / anyone else. Thanks#Most folks here don't need a ''Don't be a dumbass'' reminder but I had to block someone for that earlier and it was a bit disappointing#This is going to be a Tumblr exclusive clip because I don't trust Twitter to have common sense or common decency about this topic#Tumblr exclusive#Anyways business aside ā€“ that black line on the side is just part of Bad's stream btw. He just Has That#Took too long for this to render otherwise I'd edit it out because it's annoying#I'm just realizing this screenshot doesn't even have Dapper OTL but it's the best one I have so I gotta work with what I got#Honestly; I still miss QSMP dearly... I love the core intent of the project and the multicultural exchange#I love all the language barriers that were broken and I loved all the stories that were told and watching beautiful friendships bloom#But I am still so angry and disappointed about how things ended and all the poor communication and the admin situation as a whole#It's a complicated feeling#I agree with pretty much everything Bad says here#It's ironic that he uses that analogy because I've said almost the exact same thing when explaining why losing any Egg was so devastating#We weren't just mourning for the characters. We were mourning for the admins too#I'll never forget that last stream with Tazercraft and Richas; and Pac ending stream in tears#I wish they'd done away with the Egg life system. I wish they'd done a lot of things differently#If the project ever does come back in some shape or form I hope they are more transparent about things and have better communication#I dunno how I'd feel personally. They would have to do a lot of work regaining people's trust#And frankly I don't think they'll ever regain that trust from a large portion of the community#I remember near the start of QSMP I saw a comment from a fan that simply said ''QSMP; please don't leave me feeling bitter''#I think about that comment a lot

The new dating feature... What to expect?
Tumblr media
(Apart from disapointment, of course)
Disclaimer: I only bought this because I had a lot of Google Play points, so I could shave a looooooooooot of the total price, but my condolences to anyone who doesn't live in the US because it's a lot more expensive in another regions... Including mine, of course
Disclaimer 2: I'm not telling you what to do with your money, this Is my personal opinion. If you are planning in buying this, do whatever idc, but since a lot of people are having doubts, I felt that I might as well tell everyone what Is this about.
So yeah... Since they announced the new feature, I knew It either would cost real money, It just sounded too good to be true, but I didn't expect to cost $29.99? Almost $37 in my country currency, a total scam, really.
But to be fair to them, this Is a bundle that comes with 300 DP, and considering the price of 280 DP, it's almost like you get the ticket for "free", right?? At least that's how Solmare probably thought It would look like, but the reality Is that the common player will see this bundle and just think that this ticket cost 30 fucking dollars (just look at the comments of Twitter and the tag Right now). In my opinion, just separate the DP and the ticket, and have the bundle as an special offert If you want. Remember that selling stuff Is also about framing... Most players that were planning on buying this might not be planning on buying the DP (like myself, I don't buy DP unless it's on special offerts) so the only thing people like that will think Is that "why this ticket costs that much?"
But what you get in the actual event, you might ask? The trailer was vague as hell in my opinion, and that's an instant red flag in my radar, especially for that spicy art that came with it
For a ticket date you get:
A 1min call
A 10min storyline (not fully voiced, apart from certain lines in the las part of the storyline)
A Majolish background with the date art
The event starts with you calling you boy of preference (in this case, I choose Mammon) to invite him to a date, the call ends and you get a 10min storyline. The premise of the Mammon's date Is that MC has won tickets to Phantom Park, and then Mammon & MC get involved to a game of tag to win a price. Then couple shennigans happen, blah blah blah.
The Story Is... Not bad? I found It rather cute actually, it's romantic and at least they make It explicit that Mammon & MC arƩ actually dating, but again, this could very well have been in a Devilgram, it's not worth the 30 dollars Solmare expects you to pay tbh. Just tip your favorite fanfic author and call It a day
The last segment Is the one they show in the trƔiler, with Mammon getting out of the shower
Tumblr media
In this scene, some lines are voiced, and tbh, If the actual story was like this, It almost miiiight be worth It (not the full price, but at least something). But as now? Save your money people, I wouldn't really recommend It.
The only way I would recommend buying It it's If you're already planning on buying the 280 DP offert, or you have a lot of coupons/GPP so you don't pay full price lol, but If you like Lucifer (or Asmo) just do yourself a favor and buy the ASMR. At least, that's what I think

Saw this post and couldn't resist because,
1.) @tesscourtes' human!Bill is a lil cutie-patootie menace that I very badly wanted to draw, and,
2.) I have a - M I G H T Y - N E E D - for any version of human!Bill to find any way he possibly can to annoy Ford a whole lot :D
Also, 3.) I like to headcanon that Bill's knowledge in The Sciences is mostly limited to 'Ways I Can Make A Really Cool Doomsday Portal', and everything else he knows is just a slapdash mix of the stuff he remembers from whatever schooling he went through on Euclydia, a whole awful lot of lucky guesses (which he WILL gaslight you about if you tell him he's wrong), and - naturally - conning all the rest of the answers he needs out of any more educated saps who are unfortunate enough to be around him at the time (answers which he will then proceed to take credit for), so as far as I'm concerned, this "outfit" is perfect for him.
Ignore the shitty backgrounds, I am sick to death of doing backgrounds, I just want to draw goofy shenanigans, okay???

Y'ALL. Y'ALL so for a long time I've believed that "the sun" in Meursault's story is Carmen, and I went to check Hell's Chicken's dialogue to see exactly how he said that he'd dealt with distortions before, and... you know what else he said?
To my knowledge, it is a phenomenon where an individual morphs into a form often unfit to be considered ā€œhumanā€. It has no known causes, and the appearances were all different.
Unfit to be considered human.
Meursault, who, in his book, was judged by the court to be soulless.
Meursault, who has EGO for Cyborgs who have been so mutilated they barely act like people anymore; a murderer who was experimented on until ceasing to be human; a sheep named after Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, a novel about the humanity of androids and the inhumanity of humans; and now a rose that can't help its bloodsucking nature, based on Carmilla, a vampire whose story emphasized the duality between her vampiric traits and her human ones.
Meursault, who answered Heathcliff's ironic question of if he had metal for brains like this:
Tumblr media
I'm placing my bets now, that line from Hell's Chicken is foreshadowing for Meursault's canto even more than "I have witnessed a number of [distortion] cases in the past" was
#limbus company#project moon#meursault#sorry if my info on carmilla is off i still havent read the book#me post#CLARIFYING IN THE TAGS: MEURSAULT IS HUMAN#it would be a disservice to his character and honestly pretty gross if he ended up not being human#the entire point is that he IS human and that other people perceive him as otherwise because of how he behaves#so I guess theoretically if he did distort it would exacerbate the issue?#extremely speculative but there are distortions who can behave pretty normally while distorted#like the marksman of the mist (and also some of the reverb ensemble but those people are all full of issues WAYYY bigger than marksman was)#if meursault was one of those...#someone calling him unfit to be human. it's fine it definitely won't leave a scar on his psyche#i think in his canto there might end up being something about how even though people don't see distortions as humans#distorting is a very human thing to do#anyway i think overall there's juxtaposition with him and don quixote#don isnt human and wishes she could be#meursault is human but people don't think he is#yknow despite my theories it would probably be more poignant if he DIDNT distort#them looking at him and assuming he only couldve done something like that if he distorted but he didnt#oh wait but the timeline... they probably wouldn't have known about how distorting works yet#nevermind back to the first idea#they ask why. he talks about a beautiful voice. no one knows about this yet and they all think there's something deeply wrong with him#'a beautiful voice convinced me' holds up in court about as well as 'the sun was too bright'

but genuinely if you default to saying that random people and things have psychosis as an insult. you gotta change that. you have to think about why you say that. "this is psychotic" stop that shit. "these people are psychopaths" stop it. stop it what the hell. come on. real people have psychosis you think they aren't already associated with negative things? you think that helps anyone?

and it was all yellow | y.j.
welcome back to SVTU ! lost your way? refer to our campus map for directions.
Tumblr media
pairing: yoon jeonghan x gn!reader with guest appearances from c. seungcheol, h. joshua, w. junhui, and more !
word count: ~5.9k genre: neighbors to friends to lovers warnings: language, intermittent Lore Dumpingā„¢ (i have to kick us off into svtu somehow), jeonghan is a little shit, light suggestive themes (heavily lampshaded and perhaps only occuring twice?)
ā˜„. *. ā‹†
olive's notes: these individual headcanon sets are going to be very ~stream of consciousness~, so bear with me, here. second, cheol and jeonghan are brothers (and there's a secret third brother i'll introduce eventually, don't you worry), also, thank you for stopping by <3. now here's the content you signed up for.
ā˜„. *. ā‹†
now playing... ılı.lıllılı.ıllı. ... āŒœ angel baby ā€” troye sivan āŒŸ
Tumblr media
AND IT WAS ALL YELLOW ā˜„. *. ā‹†
ā€” it all started when jeonghan realized that jun was loaded.
now, don't get him wrong. it wasn't as though he had befriended jun because jeonghan had been looking for someone rich and easily persuaded. it's not like jeonghan used his ineffable charm to win over the quasi-cryptid that was wen junhui because of jun's apparent legacy funds.
not that jeonghan couldn't have done ā€” he clearly had the persuasion and cunning to do it ā€” he just didn't. jeonghan wasn't in need of someone else's money. please. he was very capable of taking care of himself, thank you very much, he was just also, however, very good at knowing things.
especially those things that could be used to his advantage.
ā€” and well... wen junhui was loaded. wealthy as shit. a classic trust fund baby. a walking dollar sign that just so happened to share classes with jeonghan every year since he started SVTU as a political science major (of arts, of course. he hadn't taken latin in high school to not absolutely crush the romance languages in uni).
ā€” you see, SVTU had this fun little program for long-suffering students interested in the government and manipulating it to their will wherein if you took merger courses ā€” lectures that ate up a hell of a lot of your time and money but gave substantial credit hours that counted for both applied and allied course credit ā€” you could get a jump start on your degree, be offered more opportunities for internship, and explore a subject's "many facets" through "multiple lenses."
to jeonghan, it meant working faster and harder so that he might graduate early and get into the actual politics of pol sci quicker ā€” at a more ā€œgeniusā€ and ā€œrevolutionaryā€ age.
(half of politics, after all, was being appealing enough to make headlines. there wasnā€™t time to waste, in the long run.)
to wen junhui it had to mean something different ā€” after all, jun was a pre-law student with a completely different career path from the other party involved (though jeonghan had considered law at one point in time ā€” something heā€™s not above admitting though certainly not pining after). merger courses for him likely meant an expedited process to law school. but that was truly beside the point. an aside.
ā€” what mattered in the end, was that jeonghan and jun had more than enough shared merger courses to go around, and in the process of things, had gone from strangers to acquaintances, then study partners (blame it on the fact that jun ā€” the altruistic leaning bastard he was ā€” actually tutored in his free time. willingly. as in, not a joke.) to committed group project members, and eventually to that nebulous thing called friendship.
ask them both when that final stage commenced and youā€™d get varying responses ā€” jeonghan always far more generous than jun in such regards, but almost annoyingly so, like he wanted to be the one leaning more on the ridiculous.
ā€” yes, it was quite a ways into their friendship when jeonghan learned that wen junhui, his sweet jun, was loaded. like, living alone off of campus in his own two bedroom apartment on the wealthy side of the city that prospered from the University Living Aestheticā„¢, loaded. as in, so loaded he could have easily found more than enough willing bodies to become roommates with him and help pay for the exorbitant expenses but simply decided against it because he hadnā€™t, and i quote ā€œthought about it before.ā€
ā€œnever thought about it? jun. how much does this place cost?ā€
and jun had to think for a minute. genuinely think about how much he paid in monthly rent. ā€œi suppose for a monthā€™s rent i pay aroundā€¦ [REDACTED].ā€
and jeonghan was no stranger to dramatics, to be sure, but anyone else would have gaped the same as him. ā€œ[REDACTED]??ā€
"[REDACTED]."
"...shit."
ā€” yes, jeonghan finding out that jun was loaded, living in a (rather well kept) apartment with an empty room, no roommates, and an assortment of (dying) houseplants that needed care, was truly the beginning of it all.
ā€” after all, while the chaos settled in a year after the fact when he and joshua would finally move in with jun because of circumstances that aren't truly relevant to the here and now, all true origins start a little before dramatic changes. there's always a gentle precursor, something soft that sets the stage. rumblings of change are necessary forefathers to the strength of revolution; jeonghan learning that jun was a walking line of credit with property to his name and a work ethic that would make any professor blush was necessary groundwork for the events that would follow.
and goddamn, if things didn't follow.
ā€” but i suppose, if we're back tracking all the way to jeonghan and shua moving in with jun on one very ill timed sunday (jun had an exam in his special topics in deviance, crime, & the law course the next day), we are also brushing up against jeonghan meeting you.
another precursor to the chaos that would follow. another tremor that would shake the ground and cause things to tumble.
ā€” you also lived in the terraces on 17th and attended svtu. you lived on the same floor as jun ā€” two apartments down from his, no less ā€” and his first week there, you showed jeonghan the campus shuttle routes that passed right outside the complex (he'd come to learn that the domino route was the one you took most often, as it led right to the heart of the university, but the pinwheel route was also a convenient option for evening courses).
ā€” you and jeonghan weren't friends right away. no, you were always a friendly face around the complex and a decent conversationalist when stuck in the elevator together, but it wasn't as though you and jeonghan became fast friends. you were just neighbors for a while; just another person grabbing mail on monday afternoons, stopping at the in-residence coffee shop on bleak wednesday mornings, ordering pizza on saturday evenings and giving joshua a slice after he weaponizes his big, brown eyes.
ā€” and then came The Series of Fire Alarm Mishaps.
ā€” you see, at some point in the middle of the semester, someone new moved into the apartment building, in the same hall as you and jeonghan. at first, you barely even noticed the change, and then they started cooking.
ā€” which wouldn't have been a problem. if they had been good at it.
the first few times the (incredibly loud and not unreasonably sensitive) fire alarms from down the hall had gone off, it had been unfortunate - a mild nuisance that disrupted what jeonghan had been doing, and nothing more. but then, the first few times became multiple, and from multiple, came a pattern. every other day, at least twice, the fire alarm next door would go off. and it would always be at different times - breakfast, the afternoon, early evening, even sometimes at 1:28 in the morning. the fire alarm would sound, and while it would mostly be no longer than a minute or two, it was still enough to be irritating.
you and jeonghan talked about it every time you saw each other in passing, or just so happened to be taking the same shuttle to campus (which happened quite often, anymore, since jeonghan enrolled in an extra course to help him graduate all the sooner). your neighbor and that damn fire alarm. your neighbor and their inability to cook, yet unnecessary dedication to the craft. you both joked about the inevitability of them actually burning the apartment down.
ā€” and then, one day, the fire alarm went off at 2:19, waking jeonghan up out of a dead sleep (he hadn't meant to fall asleep at his desk, and his neck would pay for it all the next day). he heard it, and immediately decided to ignore it, knowing it would stop soon.
but then it didn't.
at about 3.5 minutes of non-stop alarms, jeonghan was annoyed enough that he left his room and staggered into the kitchen for some water, where shua and jun were already waiting around, likely with the same idea (though it was clear that shua hadn't ever fallen asleep, and perhaps jun was in the same boat, though he'd changed into sweats and a light t-shirt).
at about 6 minutes, jeonghan opened the door to see if anyone else was, well... concerned.
and at 13 minutes, he was standing outside in the brisk autumn air, agreeing with jun as he whispered that if there wasn't an actual fire but just their talentless neighbor attempting to cook in the middle of the night, he was going to kill the bastard himself.
ā€” and there, in the middle of all this stupidity ā€” sleepily rocking back and forth from one foot to another ā€” and on the other side of him, was you.
ā€” and, well, when you offered to buy him and the rest of his roommates coffee at the convenience store that was just down the street, not far, he couldn't do much beyond say yes. what was he going to do? decline your offer?
and so all four of you walked to the convenience store and aimlessly wound your way through the almost neon colored aisles. jeonghan used the opportunity to stick to you like glue and get you to open up ā€” about yourself and your roommates, both of whom had gone home for two weeks for (separate) family vacations (not that you were jealous. clearly the superior option was to stay at the apartment, embroiled in course work and standing outside at 2:00 am because of some loser neighbor who can't cook a singular meal without burning the building to the ground, and yet refuses to have anything delivered).
ā€” in the end, the fire hadn't been bigger than something contained in the pan ("thank god," you had said, shaking your hands in lackluster triumph, "i have a physics exam next week. i need those notes more than you know"), but at only 4 months of having a new neighbor, someone new moved in within 2 weeks at most. and, after being neighbors for almost 7 months, you and jeonghan were decidedly friends.
after all, you bought him a triangular gimbap, ice cream, and convenience store coffee. jun had slipped away with just a banana milk (which he promptly paid back the next day), and shua nearly bought out the whole store once the two of you got to talking about the best midnight (and hours after) snacks lining the walls. at the least, he was indebted to you, which could only be solved by more trips to the convenience store with more mindless conversation, and more time for the both of you to endear yourself to the other.
and the way jeonghan saw it, friendship at that point was inevitable. especially when, at the start of the next semester, you and jeonghan both had an early morning class and used the domino route to get to class via campus shuttle.
(and sure, jun had an early class, too, and drove himself to campus everyday, meaning jeonghan could have easily just gotten a ride, but he didn't. for no particular reason, really, he just never did; but one frost bitten morning after a snowstorm, when jeonghan was waiting at the shuttle stop and you stood beside him, bundled up in a thick winter coat and rubbing the tips of your fingers to keep them warm, you turned to him, the cord of the wired headphones the both of you always shared swaying from the movement (a streak of yellow against all this white, the sun in the middle of stark winter), and smiled, "i'm glad you're here with me." and maybe ā€” just maybe ā€” that was reason enough.)
ā€” and thus, for reasons above explained, in the end, it all started with jeonghan learning jun was loaded. if it weren't for that simple knowledge, he wouldn't be anywhere near where he currently stood.
ā€” which was the open doorway of jun's apartment, garbage in hand, falling in love with you.
"what?"
and you at least had the presence of mind to be flustered by it.
jeonghan could laugh, really. "is that my jacket?"
it totally was, and perhaps the way you fiddled with the sleeve of it and scoffed awkwardly, refusing to meet his eyes, was the true giveaway that you knew it most certainly was. "i don't know, is it?"
you were met with smug silence, so of course, you'd elaborate.
"i thought it belonged to my ex. i just chose what looked the warmest. it's storming out there ā€” you might want something more than a sweatshirt if you're taking that all the way to cans." you gestured to the garbage bag ā€” a detail jeonghan had almost forgotten at the sight of you in his clothing.
"you think your ex would have bought that?"
of course he wasn't going to take your bait in changing the subject. that would make things easy. you rolled your eyes, spinning your key ring and making it jingle. "hoseok has great style. it's just different from yours."
"and that jacket is more my style than his."
"it is," you conceded. under jeonghan's gaze you stuck one half of the jacket out, towards him. "do you want it now? you'll need it out there."
"i don't think i will. not when i'll have your sunny presence to warm me."
and for a split second your eyes narrowed. you had just come in from the storm ā€” that much was plain to see from the wet of the jacket to the reusable grocery bag in your hand, full of pantry odds and ends. there was no need to go back out, and you and jeonghan both knew it. and not to mention that the invitation (thinly veiled) was unattractive ā€” stay inside where it was warm or brave the stormy weather once more, all for a garbage run?
"race you to the elevator."
ā€” and see, the truth of the fact was, it wasn't as though you made it difficult to fall in love with you (though even if you had, jeonghan would have liked the challenge, perhaps. there's fun in plenty of things). you were generous, a good conversationalist, you bitched about people with jeonghan but still tried to see the best in them, you were knowledgeable about the most random yet oddly applicable things, and for all of his teasing, you put up with him. perhaps enjoyed him.
ā€” it certainly confused seungcheol, to say the least (but don't such things always confuse brothers).
"as someone who's had a lifetime to cherish your personality, there has to be something wrong with this y/n if they're willingly spending time with you. i'm trying to save my soul, putting up with you on the daily. they have no excuse."
"if i'm going to respond to that, you'll have to give me five minutes to run first."
and it ended with jeonghan quickly pushing away from the table, trying to duck out of seungcheol's grasp; but of course, the older brother and president of the boxing club would get him anyway, and through laughter, attempt to knock some humility into jeonghan (it wouldn't stick).
ā€” but no need to focus on all of that, now. after all, this deep into the semester, jeonghan was busy enough without Crippling Thoughts of Romance.
ā€” the worst damage you wrought thus far was making him choke that day you wandered into karaoke club and he was in the middle of a duet joshuji had managed to cajole him into doing on the spot (you swore up and down that you didn't know he was even in the club to begin with, but something about your flustered behavior and shua's glee at the whole affair made him consider otherwise); while it had been a (minor, he claimed) blow to his pride, it was easily pushed aside. jihoon, the bastard, might bring it up on occasion ā€” the one (1) time angel voice yoon jeonghan chokes, and it's all on camera ā€” but other than that, jeonghan? cool as a cucumber.
the last thing he'd do is be awkward around a crush. jeonghan was cool; jeonghan was suave; jeonghan was speaking in the third person because joshuji had been on a self-love bender a few months back and had said daily affirmations into the mirror every morning, and after finding out and teasing him relentlessly for it, jeonghan unfortunately picked up the habit.
Tumblr media
AND IT WAS ALL YELLOW (CONT.) ā˜„. *. ā‹†
ā€” and now that we've gotten this far, i suppose it's time we bring up Jeonghan Habitsā„¢ because there were many, the closer you and jeonghan got to each other, strings of fate drawing you ever nearer, joining you at the hip.
ā€” for one, it seemed that ever since that first unfortunately timed run to the convenience store at hours after-midnight, jeonghan felt comfortable just showing up at all odd hours of the evening, all messy hair and too-big hooded sweatshirts (most stolen from seungcheol, he'd reveal to you one day when you were confused as to just when jeonghan had picked up a love of coton de tulear puppy conventions ā€” enough to get a commemoriative sweatshirt, no less), with the oh-so-enticing offer of going to grab a snack.
he even called it a date, once, when you were wrapped up in three blankets and your fuzzy house slippers, weakly try to convince him to just rummage through you're cupboards instead
"you're so cold you're going to cancel our date? and here i thought we had something real."
(you'd been so flustered by the whole exchange you simply ended up going to the with him, hoping that the act of Just Doing It would buy you time against his rapid fire machine gun comebacks ā€” probably exactly what the fucker had planned in his 4d chessboard of a brain ā€” and jeonghan took the opportunity to file away in his mind the cute expression that crossed your face in the split second that the words hit you fully in the chest and you floundered, wide-eyed into recovery)
ā€” another, of course, was his habit of casually leaving things at your place whenever the two of you hung out; the first few times he left something ā€” his jacket, a pair of sunglasses, necklaces that you don't ever quite recall him taking off to begin with ā€” you promptly returned it with the naive belief that it was a one-off mistake not like to happen again. but it just kept happening, and so eventually, you just stopped returning.
if it were important, jeonghan would have texted you about it ā€” he texted you about all kinds of random things, anyway, his lost socks would be no more strange than texts of ootds or how particularly sparkly his eyes looked that day.
and he never did...
until you started to wear the things he left, of course.
'should i get two of these?' the text came in while you were walking to your next class, taking your sweet time since the weather had cleared up nicely and the campus shuttles were running smoothly ā€” not a single one hand been late all week, a sure change from usual. a moment later your phone chimed again, and jeonghan had sent a picture of a silver ring with a greek key styling. it was cool enough, and fit in nicely with jeonghan's usual style of accessory (not that you were particularly knowledgeable of such things... haha.)
'sure, but why 2?'
'so you can have one of your own instead of stealing it.'
'???!?'
'look at your outfit right now. you're wearing MY necklace. it's been missing for weeks.'
'YOU LEFT IT AT *MY* APARTMENT??????'
'you still have necklaces of your own; didn't have to be mine.'
'šŸ˜‘'
'so what's your ring size?'
'stfu'
ā€” in your defense, you didn't think it was an issue, borrowing the things he'd randomly leave at your apartment. it had started off innocuously enough ā€” seonghwa and momo (your roommates, bless them) needed you to go grab a few last minute ingredients for dinner (they were the ones cooking, so charitably you offered to do the grunt work) and when you couldn't find your own sunglasses, there were jeonghan's, just sitting on your dresser and waiting to be used.
and after that, well... jeonghan had nice style, okay? you were not immune to convenient and accessible clothing. if jeonghan wasn't so forgetful of his own articles of clothing, it wouldn't be the case that you steal his favorite sunglasses and borrow his usual rings and get a little too caught up in the way his cologne lingers on his jackets and night shirts, a smell all-too comforting and somehow tempting...
ā€” you attempted to give the necklace back later that week when you and jeonghan met up to take the domino route to university, but he just shrugged it off and told you that you might as well keep it. he already bought himself another.
and besides. it looked good on you.
ā€” and as for the last of Jeonghan's Habitsā„¢ (certified and trademarked, of course, everything jeonghan did was protected by common law)... well... the discovery of this one came later, at a time you weren't expecting it, and so perhaps that explains why it makes you as flustered as it does.
ā€” see, it's of no surprise that yoon jeonghan is clingy in a very positive sense.
being friends with jeonghan is always being kept in the loop, having an ongoing dialogue about most everything, doing lot of Things together and always knowing that if there's something you're even thinking of doing, jeonghan has already cleared his schedule in anticipation of going to do said thing alongside you.
ā€” what surprised you, but really shouldn't have (so perhaps the right word is simply astonished, flustered, made giddy by the realization of), was that he was also very cuddly. and very hard to be talked out of, no less.
ā€” and like, okay, sure, it was kind of hypocritical of you to be taken aback when you'd been indulging jeonghan of his affinity for physical touch for quite some time, now.
the surprise hugs whenever he caught you waiting for the campus shuttle or simply Minding Your Own Business, his inclination towards taking your hand to make you walk a little faster when the two of you were going convenience store diving (yes, again), the quite literal poking and prodding whenever he was attempting to get you to change your mind and agree with his worst impulses... it was all pretty damning, in retrospect. but it never really fazed you: jeonghan's cuddly sort of behavior.
though you had gotten a smug kind of glee whenever you initiated contact and jeonghan's cheeks would warm to a beautiful shade of pink before he'd counter his own seeming embarrassment with a comment like "aaahhhh y/n, you're so familiar, what would others think if they saw you?"
randomly touch jeonghan's forearm, whether to pull him closer for some reason or another or just to softly massage the skin while you absentmindedly scrolled on your phone (instagram scrolling was sacred time you and jeonghan shared ā€” then you didn't have to send him the reel with your comments, you could just tap him on the shoulder and show him). they way jeonghan would get all shy at the touch ā€” like maybe he felt some of those butterflies that perpetually fluttered about in your stomach whenever he was around ā€” was all the satisfaction you could ever need.
ā€” so yes, you were quite used to clingy jeonghan. but cuddly? you had never quite strayed into full cuddle territory... until you did.
ā€” that fateful night, you had lovingly been given notice via a very abrupt group text that you would not be able to return to your apartment for the evening (someone was going to have company over, doing... things that familiar company do) and when you had told jeonghan of your plans to join seonghwa in his trip to the computer rooms at crescent hub (they were open 24 hours and while it was based on reservation, you were almost always able to get a seat), he offered you come to his apartment instead.
either that, or i guess you could spend your time watching the gaming club host whatever tournament they had going on ā€” apparently jun was planning to be gone for Quite Some Time (as a senior member of the club) and shua was there... for moral support? that part was unclear, to be quite honest, but it wasn't as though shua ever needed a reason to be Busy and Outgoing, so it didn't quite matter much, in the end.
"why aren't you at crescent hub with your roommates, then?"
"and encourage them? ah... don't make me look soft."
and you're sure that the way you roll your eyes can be heard through the phone.
"i had an assignment to finish." / "you had work to finish."
"but! it's all been submitted now."
"then i'll meet you."
ā€” after all, it's not like you were a stranger to jun's apartment ā€” you'd hung out there plenty of times as your bond with jeonghan deepened and your friendship to shua and jun grew ā€” and they did have a rather comfy couch... you were almost certain jeonghan's offer implied and unspoken 'you can at least get some comfortable sleep on our vertiable cloud of a couch when i'm done prying at the finer details as to just who momo decided to bring home.'
you both, after all, had a deep-seeded delight for gossip.
ā€” and when you got there, it was exactly what you expected: jeonghan had seemingly raided the pantry finding ingredients so the two of you could make dakdoritang ā€” excepting the carrot, of course.
despite his seeming love for convenience store runs and general lazy attitude toward preparing his own meals, cooking together seemed to be something jeonghan enjoyed lately ā€” or at least, that's what you surmised. to you, it seemed that one day jeonghan woke up and chose cooking as a new hobby.
if you were to ask jeonghan, he would brush it off, of course, probably saying something about his mom visiting and praising jun's affinity for cooking and there was no way jeonghan could let the bastard win ā€” but really all it had taken was one (1) absentminded hand on his chest from you and a "hannie, can you pass me the garlic cloves?" for him to make cooking with you a new personality trait of his. go figure.
ā€” and so the two of you made your stew while debating which movie you should watch when you were done. you ended up compromising on some drama that you'd seen people claim was so bad it was good, and it really was. the cringe,,,, the mutual yelling at the tv,,,,,,, threatening the lives of fictional characters,,,,,,, talking over whole dialogue scenes because you had a brilliant rewrite in mind and jeonghan simply couldn't resist the way you looked when there was an earnestness in your eyes and an opinion on your lips,,,,
it was quite late, indeed, before you even knew it. and when you switched the tv to a music video you really wanted to show jeonghan, the autoplay sort of took over, and your mind sort of shut down... drifted off to sleep.
ā€” you woke up at some point in the early morning; the sound of the lock clicking and the door opening wasn't the sound you were used to, in your apartment two doors down, and it was just enough to snap you awake momentarily, still half in dream yet with one foot in reality.
it was just shua and jun, and they whispered an apology before padding off to their respective rooms (jun his own, shua his shared room with hannie), clearly worn out from their gaming activities.
ā€” but that little push to semi-wakefulness was just enough for you to take stock of where you were, and you noticed belatedly that jeonghan had never left to go back to his room. you were both sleeping on the couch, legs intertwined; jeonghan was resting his head on your shoulder and your hands were reaching out, as if almost to give him a subconscious hug.
ā€” the embarrassment ran through your nervous system almost instantly, and when you made to slowly and gently move your limbs so you were less... interwoven, jeonghan stirred and, still sleeping, pulled you back towards him. perhaps even closer than before.
you couldn't help yourself. a giggle escaped you; perhaps half nerves, mostly endearment. jeonghan stirred again and the sound and you covered your mouth, not wanting to wake him.
he stilled soon enough, and before drifting off again, you kissed him on the forehead.
ā€” when you fully woke up the next morning, jeonghan had already began his day, but he didn't even try to hide the fact that the both of you had unwittingly unlocked a new feature in this friendship of yours. he sort of just... took the night prior as a confirmation that cuddling was on the list of approved actions and refused to let go of you, after.
not that it bothered you, of course.
it just seemed that the butterflies in your stomach were given wild energy at this new development; all your strategies for calming them suddenly ineffective.
Tumblr media
AND IT WAS ALL YELLOW (CONT.) ā˜„. *. ā‹†
ā€” so.
if you had asked jeonghan at any point in his life if he were good at manipulating, his answer would be an unequivocable yes.
deceit? of course.
scheming? obviously.
lying? naturally.
blackmailing? most assuredly.
gaslighting, gatekeeping, girlbossing? undoubtedly.
changing criteria? yes.
moving goalposts? clearly.
hiding the apparent? well...
ā€” see, the thing is... you get so good at the others that concealing the obvious isn't exactly necessary. everyone might know to be wary of the scheming, cheating, self-serving yoon jeonghan, but it didn't change the fact that he was so astute at the rest of it, image didn't exactly matter.
and besides, why save face when it was so fun to see people accuse him of what they were all very aware?
ā€” so yes, jeonghan was quite skilled at all manner of deception. the one facet he was not so adept in was hiding his feelings toward the matter.
ā€” thus, it should be no surprise that everyone and their mother knew jeonghan had a crush.
and it was only getting worse.
ā€” don't ask jun when he put the dots together ā€” he was more emotionally intellectual than he let on most of the time ā€” and don't ask joshuji when either ā€” that fucker had this quirk where he joked about something before it had real honest basis, but in some way only attributed to the gift of clairvoyance, he always seemed to be right. if you were to ask joshua, he'd likely recall the first time he had looked at jeonghan and wiggled his eyebrows and call that he knew then (he didn't; at least, not really).
ā€” as for s.coups... well, don't ever ask cheol anything about jeonghan. he'd rather die than give it to you straight.
please. when he could embarrass jeonghan? seungcheol lives for that shit.
after all, what else are older brothers for?
ā€” so yes, it was obvious to those close to him that jeonghan was in the long-suffering limbo of Having A Thing For Your Best Friend But Not Acting On It, and it had been apparent for months.
ā€” after all, it felt like centuries ago that joshua had offered to play matchmaker for jeonghan and you ā€” the veritable apple of his eye ā€” and set the two of you up on a date.
it had been some lazy morning and jun nearly spit out his breakfast.
"you'd both love it! i'd get jihoon to play something romantic on the violin; well, maybe recorderā€”"
cue jun choking once more.
"and you could be there waiting in full suit and tie."
"with couples rings waiting in the bread basket." and joshua's eyes went comically and maniacally wide at jun's inclusion.
"ah, cheol would crash any date like that."
"but then y/n could get his blessing!"
ā€” at some point, jun was at his wits end.
in his defense, it was him who had to see the two of you be all sweet and love-struck all the time, giggling and teasing each other on his couch in his apartment while all he's trying to do is eat a sorry excuse of a subway sandwich (eat fresh.) before jetting off to his internship again.
if you had to see that shit while eating soggy bread you'd be annoyed, too.
one more "aigoooo" while jeonghan squishes your cheeks, and you bat him away with a roll of your eyes and jun would take a knife out of the block behind him.
ā€” especially when jeonghan started calling you "angel" at every chance he got. had jun's eye twitching, it did. never had he regretted getting roommates until jeonghan fell in love.
one day jun learned that the phrase "get a room" made at least one of you self conscious enough to at least tone it down, and he never stopped weaponizing it, since.
ā€” of course, overtime jun's protests became background noise, but once, when your roommates and jeonghan's all went to the museum of fine arts together to celebrate the end of finals week (it was free admission so long as you had your svtu activities card), jun had deadpanned his new favorite phrase in the middle of the outdoor conversation area. jeonghan had turned to you grinning, like it was the excuse he'd been waiting for all day, and after a lighthearted "shall we?" you grabbed his hand and the two of you pranced off to explore the sculpture terrace.
jeonghan had raised an eyebrow at your choice of exhibit, but you pulled him over to a sculpture of a human figure with black wings and flashed a smile: ā€œitā€™s not a private room, but i think it works.ā€
ā€œif youā€™d prefer it, iā€™m sure thereā€™s a custodial closet we could go to instead. i bet there's one right outside, even.ā€
you snorted. ā€œand if i did kiss you? what would you do then?"
ā€” you stunned him into silence. him. yoon jeonghan.Ā
ā€” right as he was about to recover and shoot back some smartass comment, you laughed ā€” the sound clear and playful, bright and radiating with warmth ā€” and then you wandered to where they showcased student work.
ā€” umm... uhhh... WHATTHEFUCKWEREYOUDOING WHATTHEFUCKWASGOINGONNNNNN
ā€œangel.ā€
you hummed absentmindedly, only half hearing jeonghan through the internal screaming reverberating in your skull.
ā€œy/nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnā€¦ā€
he was closer now, if you focused, you were sure you could feel him, inching closer, right behind you, just to your rightā€¦
ā€” he kissed your cheek: half on the corner of your lips, half on the soft of your skin.
ā€” you couldnā€™t help yourself. you turned.
ā€œif you were bold enough to kiss me here, iā€™d kiss you back. then iā€™d be scandalized, ā€˜how forward!ā€™ā€
your mouth opened: in shock, in delight, in laughter, in a heavenly mix of the three. jeonghan just stood there, all self-satisfied grin.
ā€œyou could waste your time finding a comeback, or you could be forward.ā€
ā€œi think i have time for both.ā€

I have seen a few DCxMarvel dimension travel fics, and quite a few of them are of them are Peter Parker post-blip. Which gives me a crack fic idea: everyone who got snapped ended up in the DC universe. Yes, all of them.
The current world population is around eight billion, so half of that would be 4 billion... Yeah that would cause so so so many problems. But the DC universe is used to crazy shit.
Obviously there would be a sudden influx of "new" heroes and villains but with absolutely no context it is hard to figure out who is who.
Batman immediately trying to make contingency plans for all these new heroes and villains as well as figure out their civilian identities but this is very difficult because literally no records exist yet.
Magic users from both worlds team up, but I think they were still unable to fix it, the infinity stones were just too powerful. Also I think Dr. Strange and Constantine can't stand each other.
While I am at it, Wonder Woman and Loki would probably hate each other too. DC is more Greek but it has had their own version of Norse mythology, so maybe they are the same and have beef?
They would struggle to feed and house that many new people, but getting them jobs and integrating them into society would be hard too. And good luck proving anything anyone says. "You swear you have a law degree from Harvard? Okay I guess."
Do doubles exist? Yeah a lot of people probably don't have an alternate universe double, but it stands to reason some do. How do you deal with having a new kind-of twin? Or a dead friend or relative coming back, but different? Or even someone you never knew/doesn't exist in this world insisting they are family.
Some au double ideas I have seen people toss around are: Dick Grayson as Richard Parker, Kara Danvers as Carol Danvers, Steve Trevor as Steve Rogers, and Slade Wilson as/being somehow related to Wade Wilson, but I am sure there are other fun ideas out there too.
The snap didn't just affect humans/earth! So other planets are having the same problems.
