But heres the calendar I busted my ass getting done for my final, I'm still pretty happy with it and would like to print it (probably would be smart to readjust for 2025 though lol). The images are placed in order of 1st to last month, I felt pretty smart putting medic in october errmm I know the lore,, german,,, oktoberfest... yes... Erm Scout was meant to be BLU but I accidentally in my sleep deprived state illustrated the Cherry Fission red bonk instead of the blutoniom berry and didn't have enough time to go back RIP so I had to make him red hahaha. Sniper was the first one i did (of course...) and erm you can kind of tell because his sticks out a bit because I wasn't really sure of my style at the time for this. I wanna redo his so perchance I will do that... Lore drop my birthday is June 3rd, I was trying really hard to have Sniper month on June but I had to put the RED logo instead many such cases

a game i played + an infodump

the free visual novel cemetery mary by arcadekitten! i really love cemetery mary and i can go on about it for hours, which is why i'll keep this infodump short bc i might just be typing here for hours and i wont get any sleep.

it's about a girl named mary anta (design is based on a manta ray), whose parents had mysteriously vanished without a trace one day. there's rumors of a killer in her city, called the blackwood butcher, and she suspects that her parents disappeared because of the butcher. she also texts a 'mysterious number' that claims her parents are alive and well.

she may look scary in the title screen but don't be fooled! she's a sweet and soft girl who simply has darker interests (such as the concept of death and cemeteries, as the title suggests).

here's mary hanging out with the other characters—crowven, twyla, and reginald. the player can pursue a route with any of these characters where mary will hang out with them and get closer to them. each route has a vastly different story and even genre/theme, and they lead to their own good and bad endings. i feel like it's easy to get the bad endings at first though... and they can get veeerrryyy VERY fucked up. there is also a true ending which is very entertaining and mysterious but leads to a happy ending.

i have about 42 hours in the game. yeah i got very obsessed with it... i like visual novels a lot and despite the occasional fucked up moments i enjoy CM because it's very chill and the characters are written well. and there's just something about how the game is designed that scratches my brain.

i got introduced to the game by a friend 2-ish years ago. we don't talk anymore but i liked that friend a lot... i didn't start playing CM until a few months later though

also just look at mary rn. SHE'S SO SILLY AAAHH I LOVE HER how can one not adoooreee her?????/

anyway let me just speedrun describing the 3 route characters rn

too lazy to find a better photo of him rn—this is crowven corvuson, design is based on a crow, and he's mary's cousin. except they're not blood related but they see each other as family. i don't interact with the fandom but i can imagine the discourse they would have about crowven and mary.

crowven is emo, moody, smokes weed, and has anger issues. his parents are dead. he lives together with mary. he gets up to secret business.

AAAAAHHH EHHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHHE this is twyla sophio, design based on an owl, this isn't her main "look" though, this is her outfit for a party. she's filthy rich, she's toxic, she's manipulative, and she's relentless to uncover the identity of the blackwood butcher. she also has some kind of rivalry with crowven (apparently it's accurate to nature where owls and crows have beef irl)

i am very very very in love with twyla in a normal way and i ship her and mary together

lastly, reginald tetra, design based on a pufferfish. this also isn't his main look, but he's so handsome here. i don't really like him that much but there's some certain scenes that make me like him...

he's your local average guy. he's so average. he's so normal. there's nothing wrong with him. i swear

he also has a littol tiny crush on mary :3 they develop a nice bond

erm okay so!! it's basically about this guy named haoru who's in a war- he got drafted and has no where else to go so might as well- against like. opposing nation obviously. he's doing as well as anyone can until this guy named kaitoki (not the new zealand thing i swear) crashes in and is like "uhh yo is this the first or second war?" and haoru is like WHAT THE FUCK. THERE'S A SECOND ONE????

shenanigans ensue with haoru trying to stop the second war n stuff :3 erm there's a whole cast and i got the whole ass concept down but i'm remaking it bc the 3k i wrote so far is actually ass since i didnt outline it LMAO

so haoru has a dead dad kaveh style and an abusive mom bc why not but she died a few months before he got drafted. anyway he used to live in literally the middle of no where on the upperside of a clean river near mountains and stuff. but he gets drafted and readily seasoned (re: traumatized) for preparation... he can cook on his own and has a supperrr high pain tolerance and he likes laying down on the grass and picking clovers and looking at clouds and like . stuff +++ later when kaitoki pulls a shen qingqiu he gets magic bc he's the first magic user and magic is born from tragedy and i kinda cooked w that concept ngl

kaitoki is a time traveller who left a sick sister behind when some acorn guy gave him a talisman that could let him travel to the past. he's a huge history nerd but his mom owns a fashion shituffy thing and he revolutionizes fashoin because SPOILERS he doesn't go back to the future because he was "born in the wrong generation" kids these days amiright- *gets shot*

acorn hair guy. dont have a name for him yet... uh anyway he's super creative but he's kinda forgotten in his family so when he got drafted it was probably for the best but he's pretty normal. except for the fact that he's SUPER FUCKING SMART and INVENTS TIME TRAVEL. and he travels to the future near the end of his arc never to be seen again (re: he goes to the future, brings kaitoki to the past bc he recognizes him, and lives an ordinary life :3)

there's this girl named natsumi who's pretending to be her twin brother to pay off a family debt. she's super rich but like dont ask why there's debt bc i havent worked out the kinks and notches yet. anyway. she's good at playing string instruments and doing idk things ppl do in ladylike classes (THAT EXIST BTW. my friend used go to to them. they teach u how to "sit properly" and other etiquette stuff it's weird imo) but yeah!! she's soo stubborn and loves money bc it's been drilled into her head by her parents (since they were born poor) that money is sacred etc etc.

her twin brother, nasumo, is super chill and sweet and nice. the opposite of his sister, basically, but not as important to the story LOLOL. his boyfriend is the one who persuaded natsumi to take his place. theyre gonna frolick off to the city and take over the family business since natsumi's not there or some shit idk

uhhh there are these two other ppl who have their own shit going on. one of them is a tRAITOR and betrays everyone and the other one (when he's about to get executed) is like i understand, i'd put my country before you too. and i'm sorry. i wish we weren't like this. but i'll still live for you. yeah theyre kinda hetero dont ask me ask the author

hmmm uhh pretty sure the king on the opposing side (of mc/haoru's side) is corrupt and was killed and replaced without the public knowing?? and kaitoki pulls a shen qingqiu once but it's all good in the end

kaitoki revolutionizes fashion, haoru lives happily with everyone, natsumi goes back and inherits family business, nasumo and his boyfriend help in her business, the girl who's dead friend was the traitor might have died i haven't decided yet. acorn guy is in the future doing god knows what since he's tryna learn what kaitoki's life was like. the second war... well, it was really far off from the first, so who knows if that happens..

B: Any of your stories inspired by personal experience?

If a story of mine has religious themes, then that’s one thing, the way I write asexuality, probably. I feel like I put a lot of cooking in fics which is mostly me channeling my love for being in the kitchen. Whining about university. 

I feel like overall, I channelled quite a lot of ME, into “Starting Over”. That was a long, really intensely written fic, day by day, fully published within a month, and spanning student life fast forward to that sort of family picture that’s like my own white picket fence dream and featuring a lot of silly, every day stuff that’s all very me. That one actually has interact with characters chapter as if it’s 20010 and i’m still on ffnet dont judge.

“Deep Joy” was a bit like that too - generally if a fic is plotless fluff it’s mostly just me channeling.

“The Subtle Art of Sharing a Bed” was sheer personal experience channeling against the fictional cliches. 

Also “Tied to You” is just my first year of university where Eve is that guy I never dared to speak more to... 

Jesus Christ, thank you, I scrolled through my own fics for this and it was a long, shameful trip that makes me want to delete or go on anon with a lot of stuff. 

I:  Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?

WHUMP. Eff offfff. :P Okay, so, like, yeah, I do have guilty pleasures, no, there’s no way I’m putting some of that shit out here in public. There’s stuff that’s only for me and my browser history to enjoy and periodically clear.

Out of safer stuff... Erm, every now and then I just have a merfolk fic phase.

Marvel: I have this one-shot all outlined where Obi bullies Tony into keeping arc reactor tech to himself, somewhere along the way Tony runs into Bruce in the depths of the internet, hires him and drags him to New York, later Tony gets kidnapped by someone who wants the reactor technology and Bruce goes to the rescue.

Shadowhunters: Oooh, I have this Jalec superheroes AU where Jace is the superhero and Alec hates him because Max once got hurt in a fight between Jace and villains. Obviously they still live together :D

Vampire Academy: I have this great amnesia AU planned where Ashzera were in a secret relationship and then Mason lost his memory so no one but Christian knew they were together and Chris thought it was supposed to be that way.... but Mason, being Mason, gets under his skin and tries to come close AGAIN.

DC: I NEED TO WRITE THIS ONE. There’s an unspecified Eddie/Barry fic idea that involves tension between Eddie and the Flash that was high at the very beginning and eventual revelations. I’m gonna make it happen one day.

T:  Any fandom tropes you can’t stand?

Usually genderbent fics solely because they are really badly written and the names are half assed and I only ever found one that I liked...
