This scene is where I started full on bawling...he is in such extremity because he's asking and he's out of it and he barely can make any sense and just - for someone shown as so strong, so collected, with such endurance to be like a little boy lost just hits hard. This is a man who carried out a complex plan while actively being tortured. And yet here he's just falling apart.

And the way he calls her again, so impatient and unreasonable and terrified because he knows he's dying and he wants to see her and in some corner of his mind it's like he believes if he sees her, the world will be all right. We haven't seen him this defenseless not since the back story. Even when he decided to commit suicide in ep 7, he was falling apart but still had a purpose even if it was a despairing defeated one. But here he's just in pain and wants her.

That is just EVIL omg because she tries to run to him as he collapses but this is the end so she is catapulted out of the world; the narrative is over so everything gets restored to its rightful worlds.

EVIL. She out in the world, without KC who she thinks dead and her father, and the tablet (which by now is a copy drawn in W world) disappears when connection is severed; her ring disappears too. OUCH.

Here are my thoughts as I move along..

After watching Ep 1, I think:

Danny and his brother where SAed as children, maybe by the stepdad.

Ariana is a sex worker?

His brother either died due to abuse or offed himself because of it.

Ep 2:

Ariana was sexually abused too, I think.

Danny might have Multiple personalities and seems to be unaware about it.

Some charracters might actually be part of his system?

Is the "ghost house" actually his mindspace?

Ep 3:

Yup, multiple personalities!

Yitzhak is definitely one of them!

Jonny probably too & if he is, so must Mike.

Ariana might be aswell, maybe she's his sexual protector & SA trauma holder.

Did he ever have a twin brother, or was he also part of the system?

They handled this whole theme so respectfully and good!

Tom also did such an amazing job portraying his roles, it's amazing!!

Especially considering that this series and the movie "Split" where apparently based on the same case.. I fucking hated how DiD was portrayed in Split.. Like it's something to fear. Like it makes people violent. And as something fucking supernatural.. I fucking hated that.. But "The Crowded Room" is so honest and respectful.. It's beautiful!

Hooray! I really enjoyed that game and feel a sense of accomplishment from beating it that I haven’t got from a game for a very long time. I’ve unlocked some challenges, it’s very sweet of the game to think I could do them, however there is no plot carrot at the end of this stick, so maybe in a few years!

Speaking of plot, WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH ADAM!!?? Is he a corpse? Is he just very close to one??? What was that about one final GUILT strand called Bliss??? WE HAD BETTER NOT BE INFECTED! I AM NOT DOING SURGERY ON MYSELF NEXT GAME!

I was genuinely worried I was going to have to operate on Adam and that he would contain every type of GUILT know to man (and also whatever the fuck Bliss is), so I am very thankful to the game for not making me do that, because my play time is 18 hours long. This makes up for the cruelty of having a meeting between Victor and Dr Blackwell happen off screen rather than letting me see it. I want to know how they interact, dammit!

Anyway it was nice watching the sunset with Angie and knowing that those child test subjects are back to their normal lives. What a wonderful bastard of a game!

Question to be answered when you're awake: but autistic!Derek's response to Stiles' innate ability to understand the wolves and their... culture (???) and what that meant to Derek after only having that with Laura for the longest time? (And that Stiles understands Derek himself, that Stiles knows about Paige and never judges him for it, that Stiles knows when to let him breathe and when to push aaaaaa)

IT'S THE FACT THAT

Stiles doesn't just take it for granted that Derek killed Laura, or that werewolves are murderous beasts (or wolves for that matter). Yes, he reads up on it and confronts Scott about it, and yes he knows wolves haven't been in California for over 60 years, and he tries to learn everything he can about werewolves that's available to him as a mundane human.

He doesn't take his info as a black and white fact (derek = murder), potentially bc he learned better but also lets be real, he's what 16, going on 17, and he's already wise enough to see the bigger picture and give Derek the benefit of the doubt bc like... What sense does it make? He knows about the hale fire, he knows Laura is Derek's sister, why would Derek kill her? What motive would Derek have? What he's seen of Derek, the way Derek has acted toward them doesn't scream sibling murderer in his eyes, so Stiles walks straight up to him and PUSHES. He confronts aggressively and tries to make sense of it.

He's weaseling himself into everything. And Derek probably wonders why. Derek mostly just wants to get to Scott and Scott's just pushing him away but Stiles is the one who unblinkingly returns his gaze, who not only pushes back, but always will come running first. Stiles is the one looking for the right thing, for the just thing.

Which Derek doesn't understand why at first but realizes Stiles does it out of loyalty and preotection for his family. He consideres Scott his family so he will do literally anything to save Scott and protect Scott and see Scott thrive. Same as with his dad.

And that- that resonates a lot with wereolf packs in Derek's eyes and it makes him YEARN for family. It reminds him of how Laura fought for him probably. I imagine that Derek tried to hide from her, that he pulled back and fought with her, that he took on such guilt from the fire and insinuated to her that it was his fault. She probably never understood why because how could he ever bring himself to voice the cause of what killed her family and how he'd let it right in through the back door (in his mind). But she'd always fought back to stay at his side.

just like how stiles fought for Scott.

And he wonders probably what Stiles went through to be able to counter him with the same dry, slightly morbid sarcasm. To all of a sudden adopt Derek into his pack, he realizes after he wakes up to Stiles over him, slapping him awake for the second time. That here's another boy ready to fight tooth and bone, life and death at such a young. Not afraid of blood and pain. Soaking up knowledge as if his brain was as vast as the sea.

Yet he has some things Derek doesn't have, like the words like stars in the sky to fill the vast space, the energy and mobility to spark his hands into movement at any second, always ready, his facial expressions always communicating. He was the Day to his Night, yin to his yang, the ADHD to his Autism

TOH For The Future Thoughts

WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET!!!

This new episode was nothing short of incredible!! I have so many thoughts about it so this post isn't gonna be very organised at all.

I love how Camila reacts to the things in the Demon Realm, and her freaking out at all the weird stuff is really fun to watch. But also, I enjoy how she looks out for all the other kids and is a reliable adult for them. She saw that Willow wasn't doing okay and reached out to her, letting her know that she had people to fall back on, even if she wasn't ready yet. And then, she reassures Luz that everyone makes mistakes and apologised for not supporting her in her time of need. Oh and the scene where she hugs all the talisman is soooo adorable!

Hunter's been pretty great this episode too, he's consistently been shown as antsy and worried about the dangers that lie ahead, especially considering everything that happened the previous episode. The development between him, Willow and Gus was fantastic and I'm so glad the three of them got their time to shine this episode. Hunter and Gus have a strong bro bond, and it's heartwarming to see how Gus cares for Hunter so much. When Hunter got emotional from seeing his flyer derby picture, Gus and Willow thought they did something wrong and ran away. Willow out of fear of hurting Hunter and Gus to follow Willow, while telling Hunter to stay put. Both of them care for Hunter but don't want to show their vulnerability and let Hunter care for them like they do for him.

Willow's stress and tension manifesting in the form of her vines is a great touch. Like in the Owl House where she left a trail of vines in her wake, and when the vines grew up around her feet and finally when she smothered a whole room with her vegetation. The vines snaking around her legs and victims gives a suffocating feeling, like Willow is restraining herself from showing any weakness, and also showing how her feelings are overwhelming her.

Hunter's flapjack magic activating when his friends were in danger was so cool, he was zipping around everywhere! Flapjack still lives on in him and that's amazing to see. Also... Huntlow Real. (like omg... the protective hug, hunter carrying willow, the blushing and hand touch aaaaaa. like cos willow's been saving his ass all the time and now it's his turn!)

Ok now to talk about Hexside. Unfortunately after all the adults got puppetified, the school turned to chaos lord of the flies style where Boscha somehow becomes reigning President with the help of "Micky". Mattholomule is a surprisingly effective leader to Gus and everyone else's surprise. Also im still not over how Mattholomule is actually Matt Tholomule. So... Steve and Matt Tholomule huh. OKAY. Gus's smoothly animated slow head turn was HILARIOUS tho. It provided a lot of lighthearted comic relief. "MANtholomule" kandfjknsdk. But I digress. Hexside becoming a chaotic mess under Boscha and Mickey's leadership is honestly pretty realistic. Also I'm slightly disappointed but not surprised that Boscha is still as mean and egotistical as ever. Like COME ON after everything that happened she's still gonna be a major b and run the school like a knockoff regina George?

The real culprit behind this though, is "Mickey" or should I say... Kikimora. When I saw her being Boscha's mouthpiece and pompously dictating what people should do... it felt weirdly familiar but I couldn't really put a finger on who it was until right before the reveal. The way Kikimora manipulated Boscha into taking leadership while she was the real one pulling the strings from the side reeked of insecure, power hungry crony. So glad she got her ass beat. Willow's confrontation with Boscha was such a treat to watch, but it was also painful. Seeing Willow stand up for herself but also let her anger and vulnerability show was so compelling. Boscha was honestly selfish and cold for brushing off Willow. I don't understand why people ship them especially considering Boscha BULLIED Willow and still hasn't apologised. (again I digress but as someone who was bullied I absolutely despise bully x victim dynamics. not cool.) Then in the detention pit, where boscha met amity again, what she did and said made me dislike her more, but also sympathise with her a bit.

When Boscha and Amity met again, Boscha lashed out saying Amity abandoned her friend group, hung out with Luz and basically left her behind. Like yeah duh she dropped you for a reason!? Boscha is a toxic and spiteful person. But I can also see from her point of view. Until Luz showed up, Amity was the top dog, one of the mean girls and part of the clique. To have someone like that just leave the group for good would hurt. And Boscha even got on her knees and begged Amity to come back to her. She wanted things to go back to normal and wanted her friend back, but what Boscha didn't realise was that she was the one who needed to change. I'm glad she changed for the better in the end, she just wants her friends back. (She's still a meanie though)

Alright, now it's time to get into the important stuff. The Collector. (and belos) It was jarring to feel on edge when seeing a happy colourful pastel world, knowing the sinister intentions behind it all. Watching the Collector play with people like dolls creeped me out, especially since they were once... living people. And it just reinforces the fact that despite it all, The Collector is just a kid. A superpowered, immortal kid who doesn't really understand that what he's doing is really truly hurting people. They just want to play. And I can't blame them, being isolated and alone for so long. He calls King his best friend, which I think is really sweet. But unfortunately King is too afraid to reciprocate. What I find really nice about the Collector is that he's willing to compromise for King, the one he cares about. Even when King isn't willing to give them Francois, he doesn't throw a fit, just asks for King to let Francois watch over him because he doesn't want to be alone.

The book that they ask King to read to them is very intriguing, because it's essentially a history book about the collector race. And apparently, they're known as powerful, godlike immortal beings who preserve planets and life forms. But the moment they encounter any resistance, they destroy the planet. Wipe everything clean. The Collector has scribbled this part out, saying that "the others are mean". This means the Collector has encountered others of his race, and actually is one of the nicer ones??? Since he disapproves of the killing and destruction. However, despite this, he is completely okay with hurting the inhabitants of the boiling isles. Yikes.

I'm glad Eda and Lilith are okay though! I'm loving their new looks. Eda seems to have accepted Luz staying in the human realm, which is sad... it's clear she wants Luz to stay but she can't. King, Eda and Lilith are hatching a plan to take down the Collector for good, and you know what this means... MISUNDERSTANDING TIME.

As we all know Belos is back in action, trying to take back control or whatever. I especially enjoy that he's literally falling apart into a goopy mess and is being haunted by the ghosts of Caleb and the other golden guards. He seems to have backup bodies... sealed in a tomb of maroon goop stuff. Buttt that body in the box was incomplete so yeah. I feel like this reinforces the theory that Belos was possessing the bodies of some of the old golden guards, because he said that he "needed a new body". How else has he been living for this long? It also explains the blonde hair. Him making his way to the Archives and meeting Odalia was so funny. She wanted to be more useful outside of being a nanny for the Collector, and now that she kinda got her chance, she got tossed aside once again. But now that means instead of possessing Odalia, Belos possessed Raine. Oh No!!!

Then the usual happens, using the new body he sneaks to the Collector's room and manipulates them into distrusting King! The Collector is way too gullible for their own good like this is the second time he's being bamboozled by Belos COME ON. The way they can just spy on King whenever is so chilling because they just pulled on their hood and boom, they found King. This meant that they could have spied on King whenever, but didn't because they trusted him. Aww... But now Belos has successfully manipulated Collector AGAIN, who believes that King is trying to kill him. But actually King just wants to talk things through. King seeing himself in the Collector, his loneliness and being of a special race, is sad but also comforting to know that he can relate to someone like the collector. I guess we'll see what happens in the final episode of TOH.

And last but not least... LUZ'S PALISMAN!!! Ohhhh man this one has kept the entire fandom on edge forever. Her palisman seems really powerful, given that even when it wasn't fully formed, it blasted the ground with a super laser! When it formed into a ball I was like "is that it?" but of course not lol. I love how before the palisman fullly formed the gang was guessing, "is it a bat? snake? dragon? otter?" The writers and animators know the fandom so well haha... And turns out... IT'S ALL OF THEM!!! According to Luz, her palisman is a snake shifter! I thought it was a chimera but this is cool too, given how Luz has been associated with snakes a lot, it would make sense that a snake would be the main animal. I love how her palisman, Stringbean (cutest name ever!) can shapeshifter because it represents how Luz can't be put into a box. She's creative, adaptable and fun, and Stringbean represents all those qualities.

All in all, fantastic episode, but im worried how the last special will go down. Hold on tight TOH fandom...

This sequence was amazing and the badwrongness of it - how he has no privacy anywhere, with the queen's family's flunkie spying on him even there - god. (And queen is his sister in law which makes it seventeen times more creepy!)

I have to say the ritualized push-pull would make not just him tired, it's making even me tired - he was not interested and she basically badgered him until he was and then she's all "but woo me" UMMMM. I realize that this is playing she is supposed to be doing and customers seem to like but it's yet another fake say-reply tiring roleplaying and he did that as a hostage and then now in this poison court and all the man wants is peace and quiet and a break and some liquor and nobody around. But I do love that the drama allows - I don't want to say sex since nobody is ultimately having sex in this scene - but the possibility of sex because these are adults for whom this is a part of life, even if in the "not right now, thanks" part.

Aaaaaa! I know foreshadowing when I see it! This is totally going to be his relationship with Shin Se Kyung, isn't it? (Also, it's been less than half an ep and I am already so freaking invested in him, I need a happy ending for him SO DAMN BADLY pls pls!)

And then she's all, great, I am wooed, time for business...

And he walks off. But what I love is even now, with a hooker (and one he didn't invite in) where the difference in status is immeasurable and when he's at his lowest, he is still kind enough to tell her it's not her fault. He's basically a quietly considerate person down to his bones (like the scene with the kid and the hat at the opening) and in that world of wolves, it's a vulnerability that will be exploited.

This is by the writer of the amazing amazing (if you haven't seen that yet, go watch) The Crowned Clown and it's so interesting because just as in TCC, we are given two royals one of whom is a monster and one of whom is deeply human but in TCC, the royal who was good was NOT a royal, he was a lookalike to replace the monster, he was a peasant and a nobody. But here, our protag is as royal as his monster brother, but he has gone into a different direction with it.

We don't know, like, too much about G3 Ghoulia since she hasn't appeared much yet, but I'll try to list most everything we do know:

In the live-action movie, which is a separate continuity from the cartoon and dolls, she's kind of the "weird" girl. I don't mean that in a negative way though- I mean she's the kid that, like... When Clawdeen first meets her she acts in a spooky/dazed/ominous way as a way to, like, prank/spook her? But when Clawdeen doesn't react to it she's just like "aw man" and properly talks to her. She also sleeps in a graveyard in the school rather than in the dorms, and when the main trio is sneaking around in there she'll rise up like in an old zombie movie to make a funny comment.

Ghoulia being the smartest ghoul in school isn't really like, a thing anymore? Probably because of the thing with Frankie's brain being made up of the greatest minds in monster history. But she IS still a nerd! Or at least, it's mentioned she has fast fingers for playing videos game (see the grimtendo screech her basic doll comes with) and her skateboard has Dead Fast on the bottom (her favorite comic superhero in G1)

Speaking of her skateboard, while Ghoulia has always had the taste for things like that (see: her Scooter in G1) G3 seems to be leaning more into it, probably to make up for her no longer being the smart one, so now she's kind of more predominantly a skater girl- her skateboard allows her to go faster than her undead legs can, but she's supposedly not the best at stopping. "It's a good thing zombies don't feel pain!"

She is also part of the Casketball team, alongside Lagoona, Heath, and Deuce. Also Probably Clawdeen and Clawd in the future. This may be a reference to how she fought for zombies to have the right to play in G1.

According to Lagoona's music video, Ghoulia's her bestie. We haven't seen them interact in the show yet, but some leaked episode synopses seem to suggest this is true. In the live-action movie, though, Lagoona's only seen as Cleo's bestie, with Ghoulia just being a fun minor character that shows up on occasion.

One of the concept designs for Ghoulia's appearance in the show has her with Ramona Flowers' hairstyle in the Scott Pilgrim vs the World fillum.

Her design doesn't really feature red anymore :( which sucks cuz red was her theme color in G1 and they incorporated it into her design sooo well, like, when you look at her you don't immediately register her as wearing a lot of red, but when you look closer for it you'll notice almost every piece she's wearing is red. Meanwhile in G3 most everything she wears is black (sometimes white or gray) with the occasional pop of bright lime or hot pink, with the only actual colored piece being her weird plastic-y neon pink skirt, which I really think should've been red pants instead...

She can turn her head 360 degrees.

It was So. Augh. I can't put it into words akdhqkdbn. How they shared stories about baking pies. How Sniper was flustered but also accepting Medic's flirts. The whole story of Sniper and his repression being equated with his experience as a kid and his dad calling him greedy for wanting pie???? Medic wanting to kiss is SO BADLY but restraining himself bc he doesn't want to make Sniper uncomfortable. But then Medic inciting the chase with the flour??? And Sniper feeling genuinely comfortable and letting himself have this fun??? AUGHHH TABLE SLAMMING this scene made me smile like a goofy, hyperactive child in a candy-store

Just??? The way you make these scenes so natural are Too Good <3 I'm seriously looking forward to the consequences of the failed uber (Medic may have pushed a littleeee too much this time uh oooh and Sniper is sooo gonna beat himself up over being this unprofessional on the battlefield)

Also here are Alisaie's weapons that don't have a name yet. Essentia is a name just for Vivi's spear, yes, but several people began referring to the whole concept by that name whoops. That's my mistake as a writer, I'll take it as a lesson in the original lore delivery.

Their duel looks awesome. It looks so Fluid. Idk how you did it bc it's a comic and not animated, I never know how comics do it actually, but it's always so impressive.

I'm glad that you think so!! It's probably because of the smears (blurry actions) and stretching/squashing. Like for example their hair looks longer than normal in this panel, we're used to seeing this trick in art and animation, our brain suggests quick movement.

This scene was totally unnecessary and self-indulgent, yet I wish I'd make it even longer hahah. Just two elves frolicking around and chatting nonsense. This form of communication's much easier for Alisaie than holding hands and talking feels.

"you still can't duel for shit" interesting! So does Vivi have a weakness in battles where he has to fight one other person, or is it only in sparring? Does he have anyone else that he naturally works with? Does he have an easier time when he's fighting multiple people at once? :O I just realised I've never really seen what his fighting style looks like in a fight where his life is at stake.

Vivi can't see the telegraphs if there's no actual threat to his life, a bit of silly ingame mechanic interpretation for the Echo. Alisaie has no intention to harm him and would stop before her sword reaches him, so he's kinda blind, only relying on his actual (average) combat skill :'>

Once he realized that Hydaelyn's gifts carry him when shit hits the fan, he started dismissing the real training/skill. Vivi doesn't see the merit/appeal in being a cool fighter, the world-saving happens anyway while he's present, so why bother. But I fear I'm getting too far ahead of the comic plot.

"You STILL can't duel" implies that they've gone through this before. Even if it's been 1 year for Alisaie, for Vivi just about a week since their separation, hell knows when did they spar last time, he obviously didn't undergo some massive training in a week, Alisaie mustn't expect much from this lil dance, it's simply better than standing and twiddling her thumbs.

Gotta acknowledge how much value I get from our convos, aside from the happy brain juice. You're bringing up many points that make me realize how and where I could improve my work. We indeed haven't seen Vivi in a "real" fight, I thought it wasn't worth the screentime because the comic's focused on daily life and feels, YET! As time goes on, it becomes more of a sore thumb, a missing beat, a solid chunk of Vivi's life unjustly shoved aside. This's important, and I'm already looking into fixing it. There's plenty of opportunities to show a page or two of combat without changing my script.

Concept is reader having ties to Seelies, and has a strong sense of direction, hence working as a guide. Seelies are kinda like spirits though? So here's a Chongyun x Reader scenario, part 2 might come idk :))))

-The first time you both met was for a commission, Chongyun had to exorcise a spirit in a large ruin that was causing chaos to the village nearby but it was fairly tricky to navigate through.

-He was walking about until he realised he was lost, suddenly, you appeared.

-He thought he actually saw a spirit because of the energy you radiated, he was so happy that he finally would be able to exorcise a spirit--that is until he tried to exorcise you but failed.

-You just stared at him and asked him if he saw the spirit behind you or something.

-He was so confused??

-Aren't you?? A spirit??

-Calming down quickly as to not trigger his condition, he noticed that your energy isn't quite like a spirits', although there are some traces of it.

-"What are you?"

-You explained that your parents told you that you had ties to the seelies and that was probably why you seemed to have some spiritual energy things going on.

-'Ah, that's interesting,' he thought.

-You mentioned that you were the guide that was supposed to help him and the lightbulb in his head lit up.

-Oh...

-While you guided him around, the realization that he tried to exorcise you hit him with a wave of embarrassment that was quickly reddening his cheeks. Not only that, he didn't even greet you properly.

-He quickly used his vision to cool himself, in the process causing you to feel slightly chilly.

-Moving away slightly from him in order to feel more warmth, he noticed the action and apologized profusely, though he was getting colder because he could feel himself turning into a jueyun chilli once more.

-You waved it off with a smile and offered him some water, he took it gingerly and drank it.

-With a smile, you lead him through one more corridor before he just stopped and sighed.

-"?"

-"It's no use, spirits just disappear whenever I'm around due to my strong yang energy..."

-"...Is that bad?"

-"Not exactly for others but... I don't feel so proud about it. I wish to exorcise spirits with my own capabilities and skill. I can't do that if I see no spirits..."

-The crestfallen expression on his face made your heart sink, you moved to embrace the icy-blue eyed boy.

-"I'm sure you're a strong exorcist, you just haven't met your match yet. One day, you'll find a spirit that can withstand your energy and then you can send it!"

-His lips curved up slightly at your comfort. Sensing that he was feeling better now, you tugged on his sleeve to move out of the ruins and back to the direction of Liyue Harbor.

-As the both of you walked back to the city, you talked about your experiences with guiding people. You did a good job at distracting him from any negative thoughts as he was caught in the stories that you skillfully narrated.

-Even when a group of hilichurls were starting to rush at the both of you, you swiftly shut them down before continuing where you left off, all without the use of a vision. (You didn't have one so he was pretty impressed!)

-Something about the way you used your sword seemed so elegant and whimsical...(No Chongyun, it's not like she has some Seelie ancestry or anything....nooOooOoo.)

-He was enamoured alright.

-Upon arriving--which he didn't even notice until you offered to get some popsicles with him-- the both of you continued to chat before you had to leave.

-Before you went though, you gave him a piece of paper with most of your personal info on it and ran off with a bright grin.

-The time he spent with you seemed to have flown by in a flash that he was left in a daze with the paper in-hand, staring at your back. He stared at it for a while before recalling the close interactions he had with you and proceeded to buy 10 more popsicles.

-"...What's wrong with me today?!" he let out a flustered mutter.

I've seen a lot of these 2021 Art Summary templates going around, but I didn't like any of them so I made my own! 11 of the 12 are FF7, although one of those is a crossover with FF14 so there's that at least.
