HELLO?????? I am VERY intrigued, do tell
ok so. I’m sleeping over at grems house. this is a few days after I just got back from Rhode Island and I watched the tooth fairy movie with Stephen merchant, va of Wheatley. It’s been a while since I’ve played portal 2 so I’m picking up where I left off. chapter 8. scratching the itch. In which Wheatley has you complete incredibly easy testing chambers to satisfy him. And um. Each time u complete one. He moans. And lets out noises. U can also edge him in the game too. But uhm. That unlocked something inside of me and I had to pause right after that because I liked Wheatley before but now I like. Needed him. It was just like. Yeah I became Normal and it’s all grems fault. I started screaming uncontrollably. This was at 1-3am btw

DPxDC media story prompt
Okay first off, this sort of thing has been done before, but here’s a different version involving Jazz Fenton.
Popular in DPxDC fanfic is that the GIW have a media blackouts—or whiteouts, there’s kind of a difference, where whiteouts work more like… there is a file, but you can’t edit it or it may be locked out for certain users, or an edited version of events where things are ‘whited out’ like with correction paste, among other definitions.
Point is!
The GIW have a media restriction, and among these is social media, probably with certain words or phrases pinging to location restrict the post. There was probably a phase for a while where the A-Listers tried to get around it, but ultimately failed, and since they could only get information IN rather than information OUT, and possibly still a limited amount of outside information in the first place, social media didn’t take off as much in Amity Park than in other places in the world. There’s still a small local presence, but at this point it’s almost like a city wide chat room than actual social media.
Enter in, Jazz Fenton. She’s chronically behind on trends, so by the time she decides to get on social media, the GIW aren’t being as militant on it. And she has that habit of calling the ghosts by code names instead of their actual names, such as Crate Creep instead of The Box Ghost, or Ghost X instead of Skulker. By pure coincidence of her personal language use and Tucker messing with all of Team Phantom’s phone locaters for easier excuse giving, Jazz manages to dodge all the word censors.
She accidentally creates a whole online story community convinced it’s some kind of altered reality game or role playing game, what have you. Meanwhile, Jazz is letting off steam by ranting online with, of course, made up names of all the people involved. She doesn’t even notice the numbers, and that’s assuming the GIW didn’t just—region lock the ability to see them for whatever reason. The few Amity Parkers on social medias see Jazz, maybe look at a complaint post or two, then move on because this isn’t even an unusual video inside Amity Park’s social media sphere.
Heck, PHANTOM has a social media presence and he’s done several rant videos too! One particularly famous one is him complaining about keeping his boots and gloves white while being chased and one of the GIW agents actually stops and gives him advice before shooting at him again.
Those outside Amity Park, of course, only see Jazz’s videos. And she has no idea that she has an entire online presence and mild amounts of online fame. And again, almost everyone thinks the whole thing is just a fun little game, if oddly detailed.
Until, that is, a certain young man by the name of Bernard comes in. One of the few who are totally convinced this is real, he tries to also convince his boyfriend—Timothy Drake-Wayne. Who, in turn, finds it incredibly suspicious that it’s this hard to get news and posts from one random town in the Midwest.

anyone interested in talking about the iconic 2000's middle-grade-bordering-on-ya book series gallagher girls??
#okay incoming rant about this series#i read the first book when i was 10 or 11 and i was absolutely obssessed with it. i read it so many times i had the entire story memorized#the issue was that i could not find the rest of the series anywhere. it was either sold out or out of stock#and then i found out that only the first 3 books had been translated into my first language so at that point i kinda gave up on them#anyway#flashforward to a couple of weeks ago#i was re organizing my bookshelf and on the back i found LYKY (is this how y'all are abreviating it??)#and remembred how much i loved it#and since i'm now fluent in english and was stuck at home recovering from a surgery i decided to download the entire series and read it#to find out what the fuck happened afterwards#long story short i read all six books in 4 or 5 days#and i haven't stopped thinking about them since#it's actually so funny how little information we have in the first book#i went all of these years thinking it was mostly a silly series about a boarding school for spies when actually SO MUCH happens afterwards#i can't believe i went all of these years unaware of zach goode's existence#truly character of all time#but also i can't stop thinking about how interesting it would have been if zach had come to hate the circle and his mom during the series#rather than before#make it a true enemies to lovers#and have us witness that portion of his character developement in real time instead of being told about it#like him slowly realizing through cammie and his time at gallagher that maybe what they were doing is wrong#i think it would have been very interesting to read#although let's be real it took me until halfway through book four to trust him and he was fully one of the good guys so..#but yeah i have a lot more to say but these tags are long enough#gallagher girls#okay i just want to add another funny anecdote about my experience with this series#my copy of LYKY has an age warning in the back recomending that readers should be above 13 yo to read it#and i distinctly remember finishing it and thinking the warning was kind of dumb bcs besides a few mentions of death and other heavier topi#nothing really happened#and now i realize it was a warning for the rest of the series not just the first book because jesus fucking chirst everything after

What kind of interactions do you think the twins would have that Rimworld gameplay wouldn't depict? (Hygiene stuff, etc etc)
Also obligatory 'your art is absolutely amazing, please keep blessing our eyes with this stuff!'
I love this ask, I could have spent ages and ages drawing these two doing random stuff together that I'd never get the chance to draw due to the game just not having it. I did try to restrain myself, though, so here are three quick doodles of the twins!
Tumblr media
They share a bathroom and probably have matching toothbrushes because I think they have matching everything, so I'm sure there are lots of mix-ups happening.
Tumblr media
I have long-ish hair and my shower drain is ALWAYS clogged, so I bet these two have the least effective drainage system ever with all their hair. They probably get into fights over whose turn it is to unclog the mess this time.
Tumblr media
Speaking of long hair, I bet Kwahu sometimes needs help re-plaiting his on days when he's especially tired or just doesn't feel like it. Fortunately, Mechi used to help Yamka with her hair and is willing to assist when his twin asks.
A question, because I'm curious and haven't actually decided where I stand on the matter yet:

pizzaplex post-earthquake wouldve made for a great location for those youtube channels that like to explore abandoned amusement parks, or for the “i spent 24 hours in [blank]” videos.
but most importantly i think there would be tons of ghost-hunting channels for the mimic to toy with using its scared little boy voice. i imagine the plex would eventually gain some sort of reputation for its more active than average ghost

I think people should write their stupid “Jennette bashing” fics more often
Because whenever I see that stupid tag I suddenly get a surge of motivation to work on my Jennette loving and comforting fics and do more art of Jennette and her witch girlfriend just to drown them out :))))

blinks tiredly. i decide "hm maybe i should try to expand my circle and step outside of it a little, lets go look at the main community tags" and im just greeted with a bunch of edgelords who think saying "fiction doesn't affect reality, don't like don't read" is peak activism and "fighting censorship". head in my hands. this is partially why i do not ever go into the community tags, my nervous system cannot handle blocking fifty weirdos every single day just so i can have a normal experience in the community tags hfdsjkl
#I HAVE SO MANY PEOPLE BLOCKED ALREADY. i am TRYING to curate my experience 😭😭😭#and i have so many tags blacklisted fjdsjkl like. so many. every single variation of tag to do with those chuckleheads#which helps avoid them a lot of the time tbh bc it'll flag posts that ppl rb if the original post was tagged w any of those#so i can avoid rbing posts that have chuckleheads as the op most of the time#i also usually double check OP's blog before i rb stuff now bc man this place is rife with these weirdos#ANYWAYS. yes i want to try to engage w the community but i do not think i can handle it if theres gonna be so many edgelords jkdslfl#the only way i follow new ppl now is when yall do promo hour and i sometimes see a new face pop up fdsjkl#every now and then i have energy to try to engage with new ppl but its so difficult when so many ppl are such insufferable edgelords !!!!#''im the nasty pr-sh-pper your parents warned you about 😎'' cool man you sound like the most insufferably obnoxious person ever. :/#''if you like CENSORSHIP-'' i am hitting block immediately bc u have a fundamental misunderstanding of what censorship actually is 👍#I'M TIREDDDD WHY ARE PEOPLE SO DUMB ABOUT THIS STUFF. ''fiction doesn't affect reality'' I GUESS PROPAGANDA DOESNT EXIST THEN ????#what a strange world they live in honestly. they dont understand how stories have served humans since the dawn of time. sighing loudly.#vent //#SORRY FOR THIS ONE IM JUST. ARGH. ppl talk abt encouraging community but i think maybe im not cut out for community#i want desperately to partake but i cannot handle it if it means dealing w all these bozos#it frustrates me to no end fdhsjkl and it upsets me so much and i wish i could deal w it better but. my nervous system is broken fdsjkl#i will try to expand my circle every now and then but i cannot do it often bc of this 😭 im not going to give up entirely though fdsjkl#(also this is partially why i dont tag my posts w community tags anymore bc i am just. so scared of these freaks getting their hands on it)#(the most i'll do is s.afeship or variations every now n then bc supposedly they're not in those tags fdsjkl)#delete later#dandyshucks

The apparently obvious solution to the Tuvix problem seems to be “create a Tuvix transporter clone, duh!”
Tuvix is already a transporter accident. Who’s to say he can be put through the transporter again without irreparable harm? As it is, the crew is hesitant to use the transporter until they understand exactly what happened. The orchid added an unstable element to the transporter process when Neelix and Tuvok were initially beamed up. Does Tuvix even have stable DNA? Are Vulcan and Talaxian physiology comparable long term? Will Tuvok’s ailment progress more quickly as Tuvix? Tuvix also doesn’t practice the emotional restraint that Vulcans do, so would his negative emotions be difficult to handle? We know Tuvok has a thread of repressed violent tendencies, and we simply don’t know much about Talaxians beyond what Neelix shares. Also, orchids can be pretty fussy (if they’re anything like Earth orchids) and that adds another unknown into the equation. Does the plant physiology affect the humanoid in any way? There are too many variables.
Most people seem to agree it should be a Riker-style transporter clone. The TOS transporter accidents ended up with disparate personalities, and tragically the dog clones didn’t survive the reintegration. We get “good Kirk” and “evil Kirk” but neither can function as a complete person.
Can we really say that Thomas Riker doesn’t exhibit the same kind of emotional divergence that Kirk had to a lesser degree? Thomas Riker joined the Maquis, which Will Riker would never do. With Riker we can get into the argument of nature vs. nurture, since Will got out of the situation whereas Thomas was left trying to figure out how to survive on a planet alone and isolated.
Then we look at the Boimler clones, who are Riker-style transporter accidents created in the same way and even paying homage to Riker himself. We see a similar slight emotional divergence between the two Boims. William Boimler (Titan clone) seems more self assured and an edge more ruthless, and he quickly lets Brad take the fall back to ensign. Brad thought they would both try to let the other take the assignment on the Titan, but that’s not the case. With the Boimler clones, we don’t have the nature/nurture argument that happens with the Riker clones. They are immediately slightly different. Brad seems to lose some of his confidence - is it situational or because of the cloning?
Maybe the transporter clones are exact copies of the same person without inherit differences due to the process. If it were a safe process, surely someone somewhere in the Federation would have started experimenting with transporter cloning? Even if they had, it’s ethically a bit dodgy.
In conclusion, we don’t know enough about transporter cloning to waste Voyager’s precious resources on an experimental process that might not even work. It could even make the situation worse.

i have a headache and can NOT think clearly enough to really gather my thoughts but as much as i really did like atsv there were just. things about it that didnt work for me. and like mostly i was not big on how they did the “canon events” stuff like im not AGAINST it just at points felt like sort of redoing the moment in itsv where after aaron dies the other spiderpeople are able to comfort and relate to miles because they’ve been through similar things and this is like... that but in a technical lore way and not hitting the same emotional beat?? like obvioulsy they’re taking it somewhere different and its about like defying the story that’s laid out for you and i LIKE that but. idk. and im like yeah obviously theres stuff thats part of the spiderman origin story we KNOW this we did it already in the last movie and it was a great scene. and also like theres no way everything they referenced is 100% true for every version of spiderman, even every single one that cameos in the movie?? idk. it just Frustrated me in a way that i truly cannot put my finger on
#anyway did my Actual Getting My Thoughts Sorted in the tags. so they got long.#atsv spoilers#im on my period and my head hurty and i feel like im thinking through a fog so. thats part of the problem#also im just like yeah man fixed events in the time stream or whatever its a very standard thing#idkkkk i literally feel like im close to a thought that i cant piece together#something something what makes spider people So Special that THEY have fixed destinies that others dont idkidk#was that what the web thing was?? being a spiderperson doesnt have to do with the multiverse tho like. idk if this makes sense#i promise im not being cinemasins about the lore here#its just like. i wanna figure out what it was that didnt work for me so i gotta talk it all out#and like i realize its meta commentary on comics and retellings and stuff too and. idk#something about 'its a fixed moment in a spider persons life that a police captain has to die while saving a child' feels kind of Dumb#to watch as like a Serious Moment?? idk#like obviously its TRUE to some extent bc. they are all retellings of the same story and thats the POINT#and i get that.#but also youre CREATING some of these stories for the movie#like idk a TON about hobie in the comics altho i'd like to read more im just kind of vaguely familiar#but what i can gather he has NO cop related backstory so like. now theyve given him one :|#and i dont love that!#and its like. yeah they want something that can connect to miles' dad. and hes a cop and this is something that is. Generally Speaking.#a connection in many spiderman retellings. but. again and i dont know this for a fact#does that happen in the comics to any spiderman other than different versions of peter parker?#like saying its a Key Thing when its. largely invented for the movie. maybe?#i like the storyline for miles and im like i wish it had been arrived at in some slightly different way? idk#had a great conversation about it w my brother in the car after the movie bc we both were kind of like 'oh' abt the whole movie#like it was GREAT but had been hyped up SO much and we were like. well this doesn't surpass or elevate the first#he thought miles' parents writing didnt feel consistent w the first which. i should do a rewatch of itsv tbh#and was commenting on how much gwen sucked and fucked miles over and im like yeah man i loved that#dont be cinemasins and say its a plothole bc she made bad choices#shes a scared teenager who bought into miguel's scheme and is making decisions a scared teenager would#we both agreed the soundtrack does NOT compare to itsv

nvm the americans in the notes going “i live in america you don’t want privatized healthcare” are normies and fine it’s the fucking americans going LISTEN HERE YOU FUCKS
americans stop pretending you’re the main characters in the story and eat my entire ass
#i want to have empathy for the story they gave but to start off like a total wanker talking down to us like ontarians haven#t been freaking out about this and talking about it over and over for years now is disgusting#we don't need you to increase the fucking font size and yell at us like we're children we fucking know we don't want goddamn privatized#healthcare jesus christ i hate looking at cdnpoli online bc americans never stop making it about them as if they're the only one#who have ever suffered from bad policy or some shit and the rest of us are dumb fools needing to be told by y'all#i Know. we all personally fucking know bc there's plenty of instances like the story in the notes having already happened here#this bill would just be another last push. he's already done so much damage and if you cared you would know exactly what and how#GOD i hate this but it's so frustrating to see americans make it about themselves as if i don't have enough trouble#every single fucking day talking to canadians about this shit. bc so many normie libs are obsessed with looking at america okay just#stop it. if we can shut up and support y'all during your political struggles by god you can try to do it for us#anyways i guess the vote offered doesn't even mean anything but idk why i thought there would be#there's actually no stopping it unless somehow ford got booted in the next day but that's not a thing#it's just capitalism lol. and fascism. bc he's already violated the charter and there's already brutality and capitalism demands more and#more. violating federal law some more to make sure the rich can devour our corpses some more is just inevitable

Leugen’s exaggeration and grandiosity when compared to other HJ results is very much intentional. And while you can argue that he just falls in line with other campy, over-the-top JD villains, I would go as far as to say that he’s just the clearest example to why they’re all designed to look that way.
Leugen represents something that fills Lanyon with glee. He feels happiest and at his fullest when he’s fronting as Leugen, hence why his speech and expression is so theatrical. He’s having fun. Which bears striking contrast to Sibyl and Jekyll’s experiences with the HJ-formula.
While their results are still very much them, Vain and Hyde don’t necessarily represent anything that makes them feel joyous to be alive. However, these things are still fundamentally who they are, hence why they can learn to live at peace with it. But their presentation is very similar to how they’d present themselves when out of costume because, again, Vain and Hyde are just parts of Sibyl and Jekyll that they have to put up with on a regular basis. They aren’t separate entities or alter egos with lives of their own, it’s just a representation of what it’s like to live with either ptsd or a personality disorder; how it can sneak up on you in the dead of night, how it can grow and shape you as a person while it also beats you down.
Leugen, on the other hand, is everything Lanyon wants to be but can’t because of his status and success. While Lanyon does live his life experiencing the things Leugen brings, he sees the transformations as a game. It’s a form of escapism, a way to pass the time and react with as much irrationality and impulse as he pleases. It’s a way for him to be himself. Thus, Leugen’s mannerisms are all the more playful and his appearance is more put together. This is what he wants.
Circling back to what I mentioned earlier about all other villains falling in line with this: JD speaks a lot through its costume design. The less period-accurate and colorful a character looks, the less compliant they are with the time’s societal norm. This is a huge factor to why Steampunks (while not antagonists to the story as a whole) are designed to look the way they do: it’s a movement to fight against what’s considered “correct”. When it comes to antagonists, they have fun with their outfits because they have fun with what they do. So much of design is there to reflect character, and the more a character stands out the more they’re seen as an individual. It’s Important to note that this is exactly why everyone in blank agency seems to balance between that line of being period-accurate enough and not period-accurate at all.
So yeah. TLDR: Leugen looks silly because he is having a blast :)) yippee!!!
