heartstrings — gojo satoru
established relationship (married life), f!reader, you pull the cheating prank on him but he gets really upset, hurt/comfort, not proofread, dividers by @/cafekitsune
satoru is always the mastermind behind pranks, especially on april fools’. however, this year you’re determined to turn the tables and teach him a lesson. you craft the perfect prank, but the joke takes an unexpected turn…
Tumblr media
your sweet and loving husband, gojo satoru, was quite the little troublemaker.
he thrived on having fun and pulling pranks, and as his wife, you were often the target of his mischievous antics.
naturally, april fools’ day was his time to shine even more, and he went all out with his tricks. even though you knew it was coming, you always found yourself falling for his pranks, no matter how prepared you thought you were.
but you told yourself, this year was going to be different. this year, you were determined. for the first time, you were going to outwit him, teach him a lesson.
you weren’t going to let satoru be the sole prankster this time. no. this year, you were going to make him the victim of the greatest prank you could come up with. something so perfect, so detailed, that for once, he wouldn’t be able to see it coming. you’d been plotting for weeks, carefully crafting the perfect plan to get back at him.
the problem? you knew he would take it to extremes, and you had to be careful.
it was going to be difficult, because satoru is incredibly smart and perceptive, able to read you like an open book. he could easily tell when you were up to something.
how could you pull off a prank that could rattle someone like him? you had no idea. it had to be something that would hit him right in his heart. something that would make him question everything.
…and so it came to you one night,
you were going to make him think you were cheating on him.
. . .
you spent all morning setting up. every detail had to be perfect.
you called up a fake number from one of your old friends to act as the “other man”. you crafted a story — nothing too elaborate, just enough to plant a seed of doubt in your husband’s mind. he was leaving for a mission soon, so the timing was perfect. you had a solid few hours to prepare, and with the house quiet and empty, you were ready.
you didn’t even want to let him see you preparing. you knew that if satoru even suspected something was up, he’d ruin it for you in a heartbeat. as much as you loved him, the man was impossibly observant. you had to be sneaky. you had to watch your attitude, keep your face straight and act as your usual self.
he was going to be back any moment now, and you had to set everything up before he arrived.
you waited. and waited. your heart racing with every tick of the clock, excited for what was to come.
when you finally heard the door creak open and his shoes hit the hallway floor, you knew you were running out of time. he was home.
you pulled out your phone, took a deep breath, and dialed the number you’d prepared. then you casually moved to the hallway, out of his line of sight, while keeping one ear open for his movements.
“hey, baby”, you spoke softly into the phone, sounding as affectionate as possible. “i just got home. can’t wait to see you tonight”
you could already hear satoru’s footsteps moving closer, and a little panic started to rise in your chest. but you pushed it down, determined to go through with the plan. “yeah, i missed you too. i don’t know how much longer i can keep this up, though… he might start getting suspicious…”
you heard his footsteps slow down as he approached. you had to act fast.
“i have to hang up. my husband is home”, you said, as convincingly as you could manage. “i’ll text you later. i love you”
with a small sigh of relief, you ended the call and stuffed your phone into your pocket, straightening up to face satoru, who was now leaning against the doorway, arms crossed, with a piercing look in his eyes.
you froze. your heart stuttered in your chest. it didn’t matter how well you thought you had planned this out — the shock in satoru’s eyes made it clear that you had made a miscalculation. he wasn’t just confused; he looked… hurt.
his lips quivered as if words were stuck in his mouth, but he didn’t say anything immediately. the silence stretched out, almost too long. and in that moment, your stomach twisted with an uncomfortable feeling you hadn’t anticipated.
it was supposed to be a joke. but now, as you met his gaze, the fear in his eyes hit you like a wave.
“who was that?”, satoru asked, his voice calm but with a dangerous edge that you hadn’t expected. it wasn’t like his usual playful tone. this wasn’t the teasing gojo satoru that liked to make you laugh. no, this was a more serious, demanding gojo satoru. the kind you rarely saw.
you swallowed hard. “what? n-no one. just a friend”
“a friend?”, satoru repeated, stepping closer to you. he didn’t raise his voice, but you could feel the tension building in the air. “you talk to your friends like that? — i’ll text you later. i love you? you cut your calls short — because your husband is home?”, he shook his head slightly, looking incredulous. “who was that?”
your stomach dropped. this wasn’t how it was supposed to go. you hadn’t expected him to react like this. you had hoped for a laugh, a playful response, maybe even some mock outrage — but not this.
“hey, baby, it’s not like that”, you tried to laugh, but the sound felt hollow. “it was just a prank. a joke. don’t you prank me all the time on april fools’, so i thought i’d get you back this time around”
but satoru’s expression didn’t change. he wasn’t laughing. he didn’t even crack a smile. his face was unreadable, but his eyes — his eyes told a different story. they were wide, searching, desperate for some sort of confirmation.
he moved closer, and you could feel the heat radiating off of him. his gaze was laser-focused, and the weight of his presence made it hard to breathe. your heart felt like cracking.
“no”, he said quietly, his voice trembling just slightly. “that… wasn’t a prank. that wasn’t funny. not… to me. who was… that… man?”, his breath hitched.
you shook your head, trying to laugh it off, again. “satoru”, you said his name softly. “it really was a prank. i didn’t think you’d take it so seriously. baby, come on—“
“it didn’t sound like one”, he cut you off, stepping forward again, his gaze hardening. “you were talking to him like— like you loved him…“
your chest tightened, and you took a shaky step back. you didn’t mean for it to go this far. you didn’t mean to hurt him. “satoru…”, you whispered, reaching for him this time, but he pulled away slightly. his body tense, every muscle coiled like a spring.
“is there… someone else? really?”, his voice was barely above a whisper, but the pain in it made you freeze.
that was when you realized the depth of what you had done. you had planted the idea in his head, and now it was too real. he fell for it, believed you. for a moment, satoru, the man who never showed vulnerability, who always exuded confidence and power, looked completely broken. you never knew it would take so little to break him.
“no”, you said softly, shaking your head. “satoru, no. baby, it’s not like that. you know i would never—“
but he cut you off. “but then, why? why did you say you loved him the way you say it to me…. or used to say it to me….”
your throat tightened as the weight of his words hit you. you had never seen him like this — truly broken, terrified to his core. he was always the one in control, the one who made everyone laugh, the one who had no fear. but now, here he was, standing before you, completely exposed, vulnerable, and afraid.
“i’m so sorry, baby”, you whispered, your voice trembling as you reached for him again, this time pulling him into your arms. “i was just acting... i never thought it would turn out like this. if it sounded genuine, it’s because you were on my mind. please, ‘toru… i didn’t mean to upset you like this”
for a long moment, he didn’t move. his body was rigid in your embrace, and you could feel the tension coursing through him. the silence between you stretched out, and all you could hear was the sound of your heartbeat, and his.
“i love you”, you whispered against his chest. “i was just trying to prank you, but i messed up... i swear, you are my one and only”
finally, satoru’s arms slowly wrapped around you. you felt his hands tremble as he held you tighter, his face buried in your hair. “i’m sorry too”, he muttered, his voice thick with emotion. “i overreacted. it’s just—“, he paused for a moment, “god, i love you so much. i was terrified. for a second, i thought i was losing you”
you pulled back, holding his face in your hands, forcing him to meet your gaze. “you’re not losing me. never. you’re my person, baby. okay?”
he stared at you, his eyes searching yours as though looking for the truth in every word. finally, he exhaled a shaky breath, pressing his forehead against yours. “okay. i know”, he whispered. “i just… i just can’t stand the thought of you leav—”
you pecked his lips, and smiled softly against the kiss. relief flooding through you. “i’m not going anywhere. ever. and next april fools’ i will—“
“no— you are banned from pranking me for the rest of your life”, he furrowed his brows, “you’re terrible at this. do you want to make me laugh or have me dead, i can’t tell with those jokes of yours”, but his usual smirk was slowly returning.
“alright, alright. no more pranks! i’ve learned my lesson”, you chuckled, before pulling him into another kiss.
…one that felt like home; melting away all the tension, all the fears.

you had it planned out. short, sweet, and to the point. today, on the first of april, you didn't have the energy to go all out like satoru did. every. year. and, every year, you were sick of falling victim to the same crime. so, before he had a chance to pounce, you would first.
it wasn't until you heard the click of the doorknob, that you wondered if this was really the smartest idea. but, like a brave(-ish) soldier in war (life at home with satoru), you persist.
"hi, baby," you hear, as he peaks into the bedroom. he tosses his blindfold aside, bright cerulean blue peeking out. he runs his hand through his snow-white locks, and you sigh, dreamy — forgetting the mission at hand.
satoru likes to have his blindfold off when he's with you. there's nothing overwhelming. nothing overstimulating. just you, his home. his life, his world. remembering the task at hand, you sit up.
hands in lap, you put on the best nervous face you can. he, the loving boyfriend he is, comes to stand between your legs, from where you're on the the edge of the bed.
"everything okay?" he asks, brushing a stand of hair away from your face.
"yes. maybe." it's vague on purpose.
satoru presses a kiss to your forehead. "what's going on, pretty girl?" and, as if you've never interacted with your boyfriend, you hold back a giggle (jesus, like a schoolgirl with a crush) at his nickname.
before you back out, you blurt out the words; "i'm pregnant!" watching his eyes bulge out of his head, you wait for his next words.
gojo satoru, for the strongest, was weak in the knees. he freezes completely, "what?"
"i... am pregnant."
"that's— oh, my god." you can't read his tone, and you can always read his tone. was he going to end up taking this really badly? because, you won't lie, that might hurt your ego. "did you take a test? how many? it said you were?"
he's rapid-firing questions at you, and your act is getting sloppy. "um, yes. yeah. tests. took those. ...two lines."
"tw— two? that's more than one!"
you have to suppress a snicker at your mathematical genius of a man.
"yeah, that is more than one."
"wow. wow, that's— crazy. does that mean i'm going to be a dad?"
"it is yours."
"is it a girl? do you think it's a girl? i hope it's a girl. wait, i'm going to have to learn how to braid hair," he gasps. "will you teach me? oh, what if it's a boy?"
there's a beat of silence from satoru. "what if it's more than one?"
okay. well. maybe, this was going a direction you hadn't expected. you thought he'd be more... off-put. he's not, though. is that excitement? you're a little too shocked to tell.
"wa- wait, 'toru," you say, holding your hands up. "relax. um, ...april fools?"
"huh?" his rambling comes to a halt. "you— you're not?" his face seems to fall, and you blink.
you look at how his eyebrows are knotted... in disappoint, maybe? no, that can't be right. right? yet, that's what it seems like.
"sato, are you-? upset? that i'm not, y'know, with child?" the words sound wrong, and you cringe slightly, but that's the least of your concerns. you gauge your words, head tilted. you're not sure if you're reading this correctly, but if you were, jesus.
"well, i mean," he pauses, hesitance etched on his face. so rare, it was, to see such uncertainty gracing his features. "no. but, like, i wouldn't have been opposed."
so, he was upset. the look in his eyes gave it away.
"i'm sorry," you say, sheepish. your arms settle around his waist, and you peer up at him, wondering if he's mad at you. "it was supposed to be a prank."
he pouts, shoulders seeming to sag. you can't tell if he's being overdramatic on purpose. "i didn't like that one very much," he says, dragging the last couple syllables out.
"oh. oh." you think, for a moment. and, even though you can't tell if what you pulled on him was worse than the year satoru replaced everything in the house with cake, you aren't really being logical with you're next words.
"then, maybe as apology... we could make that happen?" it comes out more like a question than you'd like.
"really?" he asks, doe-eyed, once more. "don't play!"
"i'm not," you laugh. "seriously. you want a baby, with me?"
"are you kidding? of-fuckin'-course. i've been dreaming about this forever."
"but, what about, like, getting married? isn't it conventional to do that first?"
"babe. nothing about us is conventional. you moved in three weeks into dating."
and, because when it comes to your boyfriend, you always think with your heart, and not your head, that's all it takes for you to crash your lips onto his.
as much as you hate april fools, this one's going to hold a special place in your heart.

A very special day has arrived. April Fools? Never heard of it.
It's Cody's Birthday!
Can you believe this guy turns 34 this year?
Long rambles and extra pictures below the cut
Maybe I got a bit ambitious with the composition, especially since I was scrounging for time to get this done (we had quite a busy month) which meant I couldn't focus on details as much. But I knew I wanted to make something that felt significant for my boi.
I initially planned to include even more characters; the entirety of Gen 1 and a handful of others, but I knew that would've been too much for me to handle.
So I left on the cutting room floor-
The characters who Cody is on more negative terms with canonically (Duncan, Courtney, Alejandro)
Katie and Sadie (Sorry)
All but three of the post Gen 1 characters.
It's also the one year anniversary of posting my Total Drama art. Not that it's an especially significant thing to note, but it's pretty cool nonetheless.
Here are some alternate renders.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The background is mostly just a mix of background tiles & tones in MediBang, as well as overlays and decorative brushes.
Next are the characters laid out individually and transparently (Sans Justin, Trent, DJ and Lightning as they're egregiously incomplete below the shoulders (At least they have a full head, which is more than can be said of Zeke or Sierra))
Cody & Dawn and LeShawna & Beth were drawn on the same layer, so I can't really separate them.
Geoff, Izzy and Tyler are just very small.
Tumblr media
Some characters get cool outfits, some get very light redesigns, a couple look pretty much how they do in the show.
Izzy is dressed as a piñata, because why wouldn't they be?
Harold's look is very loosely based on Beat from JSRF
LeShawna's design is based on a look she has in Dramarama.
I can't draw Gwen the same way twice.
Nobody else has any specific inspirations for their looks.
Now that I think of it, the centre of the drawing is not dissimilar to what I drew last year. Similar compositionally, but different contextually.
Tumblr media
Kinda embarrassing to look at my older art now, but that just means I'm super happy with the stylistic evolution. You can tell I've gotten more comfortable with the way I draw TD characters.
Anyway, enough of my rambling.
Happy Birthday Cody!

Tumblr media

Words: 9.8k

April Fool's is always an amusing day in the Munson household. A day full of mischief and trickery seems tailor-made for you guys. To no one’s surprise, Luke gets the most into it. Sometimes you think he starts planning next year’s pranks as soon as this year’s ones are done. Ryan has been known to throw a solid prank someone’s way once in a while as well. Personally, it’s hard for you to decide if his pranks against Luke or Eddie are the funniest to witness.
Your husband can keep up with his sons in regard to the shenanigans. He can usually get one over on you before you don’t trust anything he says for the rest of the day. It’s definitely a day that’s taught you how to think on your toes.
This year’s April Fool's is the first one Eliza is old enough to truly understand. It’s much easier for her to understand the concept now that she’s four. Of course, she wanted to join in on the Munson fun and prank her brothers and father. Luckily, the simplest tricks gave her immense joy. She placed a whoopee cushion on Eddie’s chair at the dinner table. It was quite evident to your husband that something was off when the cushion of the seat was raised several inches higher than usual. One glance at the little girl biting her lip and clenching her fists was enough to broadcast that she’s the one waiting in anticipation to see how it goes. Of course, Eddie sits down on the cushion and the fart noise that comes out sends Eliza into hysterics.
“I got you, Daddy!” She cheers.
“You got me, sweet pea!”
The pranks pulled on you this year were pretty mild, and you give full credit to the babies growing inside of you. No one wants to truly scare a pregnant woman who is at 35 weeks. The bag of Luke’s Lucky Charms shoved into your Rice Krispies box did manage to catch you off guard. You chuckled at the rainbow in your cereal bowl as you poured in the milk. Ryan switched half of the family photos in the living room to pictures of different actors. It was certainly amusing to see Johnny Depp posing on the red carpet right next to your wedding photo.
Eddie’s prank on you was a good one, you eventually admitted to him. For days on end, you had been telling Eddie how you were craving Chinese food. He kept saying he would pick some up this week. So, when Wednesday came and he said he was bringing home your favorite, you saw red when he walked through the front door with a pizza box.
“Eddie, what the hell?” you’d asked.
“What?”
“You said you were getting Chinese.”
“Huh? I thought you wanted pizza, princess,” he’d said.
You whined and rubbed your hands over your face. Part of you wanted to cry, actually. You’d been looking forward to this for so long.
“Well, maybe you’ll like the kind of pizza I got?” Eddie set the box down on the counter and opened the lid to reveal Styrofoam containers overflowing with noodles and rice.
“You’re such a dick,” you whined with a laugh.
“But you love me anyway.”
He had a point.
You told everyone the day before April Fool’s that you wouldn’t be pulling any pranks because you didn’t have the energy to devise any. Of course, none of them believed you and were on the lookout the entire day. Even if you did have something planned, the pressure near your pelvis kept your mind pretty occupied. The doctor said that it’s to be expected the further along you go, with the twins bearing down, ready to get into position. But the pressure seemed to be just a little worse today.
“Feeling okay, baby?” Eddie asks as he takes his watch off for bed.
“Yeah,” you say with a sigh as you waddle over to your side of the bed. “This damn feeling like they’re pressing on all my organs down there is a pain in the ass.”
“Literally?” Your husband gives you a playful smirk as he pulls down the blankets on your bed.
“Kinda feels like it, yeah,” you reply.
It takes some effort to get into bed and get comfortable under the blankets. Eddie sits on his side, attentively monitoring to see if you’ll need his help or not. Once you’re settled back against your pillows, you give him a thumbs up.
“Good to go,” you say.
Eddie slides closer to you beneath the blankets until his legs are pressed up against yours. Gently, he lifts your chin and leans in to press his lips to yours.
“I love you, gorgeous.”
When he pulls away, you’re glaring up at him—not too fiercely, but enough to let him know you’re not exactly feeling the pet name at the moment.
“I love you, too, Daredevil.”
“Daredevil?” Eddie cocks a brow.
“He’s blind right?” You stretch your arm out haphazardly in the direction of the stairs in your home—near where your youngest son’s room is. “That’s what Luke said. Talking about that movie with Ben Affleck or something? Ugh, I don’t know.” You heave a deep breath and let your hand fall onto your protruding belly.
“And why am I blind?” Eddie asks as he scoots himself back over to his side of the bed.
“That little term of endearment you gave me.”
Eddie sighs and looks back over at you.
“We gonna do this again?” he asks. “How many times do I have to knock you up for you to get that you’re so fucking hot pregnant?”
“Okay, I’m even putting that aside,” you say, swiping a hand in front of you. “I’m just a mess lately. No sleep. Pain. Harder to do basic shit, even like, brush my hair.”
“You’re just being a Mrs. Grumpy Gills because you’re so uncomfortable right now.” Eddie lays back against his pillows and tucks one arm behind his head.
Your eyebrows raise as you slowly turn your head to meet your husband’s gaze.
“Did you just call me, ‘Mrs. Grumpy Gills?’”
He groans and flops his other arm down across his face.
“Ugh. You know, I appreciate the boys taking Eliza out places lately, I really, really do. But did they have to go to the goddamn aquarium? It led to this Finding Nemo phase that seems never ending.”
“How many times has she made you watch it now?” you ask.
“Shit, I lost count.” Eddie chuckles and lowers his pale, tattooed arm from his face onto his chest.
Another pulse strikes your pelvic area and even irritates your lower back this time. Your face scrunches up as you squirm around a little, coming to the realization that there is no feasible way to rub your lower back at the moment. Last time your back hurt this way, rubbing it helped, you remember. God, it’s hard for you to even remember the last time you had that pain down there. The last time must’ve been…nah, it’s just the pressure the doctor told you about getting worse. Isn’t it?
“Goodnight, princess,” Eddie says, reaching over and ghosting his knuckles along your jawline.
“Goodnight, Crush the Turtle.”
Eddie scoffs and playfully swats at you before leaning the other way to turn off his bedside lamp.
The room plunges into darkness. The pain spasms in your back again and this time you sure as hell know what that was. You stretch as far as you can to click on the bedside lamp on your end.
“Hmm?” Eddie pushes himself up onto an elbow and looks at you in concern. “What? What is it?”
“Shit,” you mutter as you try to push yourself up to a seated position. “Eds, I’m having contractions. This isn’t the carrying low crap anymore.”
Eddie’s eyes widen, and he goes to get up, but then he pauses. A smile grows on his lips, and he shakes his head as he settles back down again.
“Nice try, babe,” he says.
“What?” You furrow your brow and rest your hands on your bump.
“I’m not falling for it,” Eddie says with a shake of his head. “You thought if you waited until the end of the day, you’d be able to get me. But I’m wise to you.”
“Eddie, I’m serious,” you get out through gritted teeth.
“Sweetheart.” Eddie rolls his eyes. “You’re talking to the man who once pranked his uncle by bringing a raccoon into his trailer. You’re gonna have to up your game.”
Pain rattles in your lower back once more. You’re this close to calling Wayne right now and scolding him for raising an absolute moron. But those plans are put on hold when you feel a trickle of liquid between your legs.
You pull back the blankets and point towards your pajama shorts. “I’m. Not. Joking.”
Eddie’s eyebrows nearly scrape his hairline. “Oh, shit.” He sits up straighter, his body tensing. “Is that—”
“Yes,” you practically hiss. “And unless you want to accuse me of peeing myself to ‘keep the prank going,’ I suggest you get your ass in gear.”
“Y-Yeah. No. I mean, my ass is gearing. In gear.” Christ, this is his fourth time doing this, and he’s acting like it’s his first. “You wanna get changed, or…”
You bite your tongue to keep from making a snarky comment about hoping you get to sit in your amniotic fluid. “Yeah. Grab that god awful purple dress? I’m not putting on pants.”
After he gets you dressed, he helps you down the stairs to the ground level of your home.
“Why’d we buy a goddamn two-story?” you grumble.
Eddie isn’t dumb, so he doesn’t remind you that you’re the one who fell in love with this house the minute you stepped inside. He leads you into the bonus room—soon to become the younger kids’ playroom—that’s between Luke and Ryan’s rooms, and gets you situated on the futon in there.
“Ryan’s probably still awake.” Eddie instinctively looks at his wrist where his watch should be, but he forgot to put it on, all his focus securely on you.
Even though it’s a school night, Ryan is still a seventeen-year-old boy, and he’s not going to go to sleep just because his parents told him to. He’ll give you guys going into his room at a certain time, but no way is he going to go right to bed.
Eddie knocks on Ryan’s door, hand itching to grab the handle and just barge in, but he restrains himself and waits for Ryan’s soft reply of, “Come in.”
The look on your son’s face as he tugs out his earbuds tells Eddie that he was prepared to be reprimanded about being up still, listening to music and reading. But Eddie is honestly thankful he’s still awake.
“Ry,” Eddie says and ignores the little huff of annoyance the boy gives in return. “I need you to listen out for Eliza if she wakes up. We need to head to the hospital.”
Ryan is instantly up off his bed, his eyes wide as he pushes past his father in the doorway.
“The babies are coming?” Ryan’s head swivels until he spots you on the futon.
Mere feet away from the two Munson men, Luke’s bedroom door swings open, and his curly-haired head pops out into the hallway. Patch takes advantage of the fourteen-year-old’s door opening and darts out.
“The babies are coming?!”
It will never cease to amaze Eddie that Luke won’t hear shit going on if he’s watching television, but he can have selected bat sonar hearing when he wants.
Somehow managing to push yourself up off the futon, after scratching Patch’s ears and assuring him that you’re okay, you waddle over to the three of them, one hand on your belly and one on your back. You’re already practicing the breathing techniques you read about a few months ago.
“Yeah,” you answer both boys. “Unless they’re learning how to pull an awesome April Fool’s Day gag.”
“They’re Munsons,” Luke says with a shrug. “I honestly wouldn’t be surprised.”
Wincing your way through a contraction, you move the hand on your belly to rest on Eddie’s shoulder.
“Do you have the hospital bag, Eds?” you ask.
“Shit,” Eddie grunts, dropping his head back. “Can one of you help her to the car while I go grab the bag?”
In true competitive brother spirit, they both insist on helping you. Nothing can be simple with them.
Ryan grabs your jacket from the closet near the front door and helps you maneuver your arms into the sleeves. Luke kneels down and helps you slip into your comfiest pair of boots. It might technically be spring outside now, but it’s still chilly these Indiana nights.
“Alright,” Eddie says as he reaches the bottom of the stairs, the hospital bag slung over his shoulder. “We ready to go?”
“Yes,” you groan and turn towards the door.
But the sound of small, yet very heavy, footsteps upstairs gives you pause. They thunk down the stairs and you see a sleepy Eliza, one hand rubbing her eye, the other clutching her gold stuffed dragon Darla by the hand—or claw.
“Wha’s goin’ on?” she mutters.
Eddie steps forward to press a kiss to the top of her unruly curls.
“I’m taking Mommy to the hospital because it’s time for the babies to come.”
As he finishes his sentence, a rough contraction hits, this one feeling a little deeper. You wince and reach out to grab something to brace against. Ryan’s shoulder was the closest thing, so your fingers are curled into his pajama shirt.
Eliza watches it all, her eyes widening as she sees her mother in pain.
“Mama?” She dodges through everyone to get to you and slips her small hand into your larger one.
You do your best to smile through the pain, trying to reassure the little girl that you’re okay.
“I’m okay, sweet pea. I just get a pain in my belly to let me know the babies are coming.”
The over-tired four-year-old’s bottom lip begins to wobble. Her emotions get the better of her, and the real crying starts.
“I wanna come,” she says through her sniffles.
Eddie crouches down and presses a kiss against her forehead.
“You’re going to stay here with your brothers, okay? Ryan will tuck you in, and when you wake up in the morning, the babies should be here.”
Eliza shakes her head. “I wanna stay with Mama! Not the boys!”
“You don’t have to say it like that,” Luke mumbles under his breath.
You smooth back her hair, trying to diffuse the situation without wasting precious time. The last thing you want to do is deliver two babies on the kitchen floor.
“It’s okay, baby. I’ll have Daddy with me, and you know he would never let anything happen to me.”
Another contraction grips you, and you squeeze Eddie’s hand in warning. If Eliza sees how much pain you’re in, she’ll never let you go.
Luckily, Eddie receives your silent message. He crouches down in front of Eliza and offers her a reassuring smile. Fairly convincing considering the man is a bundle of nerves.
“We’ll call you guys when the babies are born, okay? Even if it’s still nighttime and you’re still asleep. How about you go pick out a movie, and your brothers will watch it with you? Patch too, I bet. How about Mulan? Or Pocahontas?”
Ryan holds out his hand, which Eliza tepidly takes. “Come on. Let’s go pick something out.”
Eddie stands up in time to see Luke raise an eyebrow at him.
“Isn’t it past her bedtime?”
His father leans in and whispers, “She’ll be out in less than half an hour; she just needs a distraction. Here.” Eddie hands Luke the hospital bag. “Bring this to the car, please.”
Luke dashes out to the car, drawing Eliza’s attention. She’d started to go with Ryan, but all plans for a movie are tossed out the window when she remembers that you’re leaving.
Two little arms wrap around your thighs. “Mama, I wanna go with you!”
“I’ll see you soon, okay?” You rub her back, trying to ignore the gnawing guilt. “I love you.”
Eliza sniffles but reluctantly unravels herself. “I love you too.”
Eddie leans down and gives her one last kiss before putting his hand on the small of your back, helping you into the car.
He takes off down the road at warp speed.
“How you feeling, baby?” Eddie glances over at you before returning his attention to the dark road stretched out ahead of you. Trees line both sides of the highway and the only light comes from the full moon straight above you.
One of your hands is gripping the handle on the roof, just above the car door. The other hand is splayed out on the console between you and Eddie, your nails digging into the leather.
“Pain,” you grunt out. Your legs are spread, your booted feet bracing you against the floor mats.
Eddie nods, a sigh coming out of his nose like an anxious puff of air.
“Do you want to listen to some music?” he asks.
“No,” you shake your head and wince when another contraction starts.
“Do-Do you want to talk? Or do you want quiet?” Eddie just wants to make sure he can give you whatever makes you the most comfortable and at ease.
“Um.” You lick over your dry lips as you breathe through the contraction. “Quiet, I-I think.”
The drive to Hawkins Regional Hospital should only take about ten more minutes, but that feels like an eternity with the rate of intense spasms that wrack your lower body. The dull roar of the engine provides a soothing soundtrack as you close your eyes and rest your head back. You are only allowed a few brief moments of relaxation, though. A pop echoes out in the space of the car.
“What was—” Eddie goes to ask before he hears you.
“Oh boy.”
“What?” Eddie asks, trying to glance over at you, but also doing his damndest to get you both safely to the hospital as soon as possible.
A trickle of water leaks down the insides of your legs, the sound not far off from when you’re out on a walk with Patch and he lifts his back leg to relieve himself on a fire hydrant.
Now, Eddie can see the pool of water gathering on the mat between your boots. He nods his head as he slowly increases the pressure on the gas pedal.
“Good call on the no pants,” he says.
Not a minute after fluid stops leaking down your legs, you feel a shift inside you.
“Whoa.” You give a small jump as it catches you by surprise. One hand comes up to rub over your swollen belly. “Baby Number Two is squirmy right now, geez.”
Luckily, Eddie turns the car into the emergency room parking lot and pulls right up to the automatic double doors. He leaps out of the car, and rushes inside to get some help. He comes back with a small Calvary. A male and a female nurse both help you into the wheelchair they’ve brought out, and various medical team members hover by for one reason or another. You don’t have the mental energy to give a shit at the moment.
“I’m just gonna go park the car. I’ll be right back, okay baby?”
You don’t have much of a choice as an orderly forcefully pushes you through the sliding glass doors and into the main atrium. Your wet dress beneath you is unpleasant, but it doesn’t hold a candle to the contraction that strikes as you’re wheeled into the elevator.
The minutes feel like hours between the pain and not having Eddie at your side. Mentally, you try and calculate how long it will take him to find a spot, get back into the building, ask reception where you are, then make his way back to you. It’s too damn long in your opinion.
Mint green walls greet you as you’re brought into your room. The white linoleum floors that squeak under nurses’ sneakers and the distinct tang of antiseptic shout out that this is still a hospital room, no matter how nice they make everything else look.
“Okay, Mrs. Munson, let’s get you all set up.”
A hospital gown has never been a more welcome sight than when you’ve been sitting in amniotic fluid for the last twenty minutes. A nurse helps you change before helping you get comfortable in the bed—or as comfortable as you can possibly be. The medical team works like a well-oiled machine as they insert your IV, slip a blood pressure cuff on your arm, a finger sensor to monitor your oxygen, and two heart rate belts around your belly—one for each twin.
Just as they’re securing the last belt into place, Eddie bursts into the room, his cheeks red and forehead dotted with sweat from exertion. With the way his breathing is labored, he looks like the one who should be hooked up to medical equipment.
“Hey, baby,” he breathes out with a sigh. He dodges through the staff to get to your bedside.
You’ve always known there were going to be more medical professionals in the room this time around because it’s twins, but it’s still a little nerve-wracking because it feels more intense than when you had Eliza. On one hand, it becomes scarier because you know there are more risks associated with twin births, but on the other hand, it’s reassuring that there is more help around you.
“Eds.” You reach for his hand, and he’s quick to lace his fingers with yours. He presses a kiss to your forehead and then your knuckles. The backpack from home lands at his feet as he gives all of his attention to you.
“How you feeling, princess?”
“I’m okay.” Both of you hear the slight shake in your voice, but Eddie doesn’t comment on it.
“I heard someone ordered two babies today, huh?” Dr. Hahn smiles as she walks into your room. She gives you a playful wink as she grabs two latex gloves and slips them on. “Let’s check on the little rascals, shall we?”
Eddie tries to keep your focus on him as Dr. Hahn starts checking to see how dilated you are.
“I brought the list of names,” he tells you with a soft chuckle. “I slipped it into the backpack.”
“Good.” You nod. “Still gotta narrow some of those down.”
“Should we take bets on the sexes?” he asks.
The question brings a smile to your face, but you shake your head.
“I’ll leave the betting to the boys. As long as the babies are healthy, I’m happy.”
“The fact that it became double or nothing when they found out there are twins still brings me such joy.”
“Not necessarily,” you counter, but giggle at his words anyway. “Could be one of each. Then they both win. Or lose.”
“Who bet on what again?” Eddie asks, wrinkling his nose up in thought.
“Ryan said girl, Luke said boy.”
“Right. And I do love how they both have the Care Bear onesie they want the other to wear already picked out.”
“Okay,” Dr. Hahn says, not giving you a chance to respond to your husband. “It shouldn’t be very long at all. Second babies always come faster and so do twins. And you’re batting two for two there.”
“Thank you, Dr,” you say.
When Eliza was born, you remember it feeling like a lifetime before you started pushing. You know this pregnancy and delivery are different than when you had your little sweet pea, but it’s hard not to compare this situation to the only comparable one you’ve ever been in before.
Dr. Hahn wasn’t kidding when she said it shouldn’t be very long. A glance at the clock on the wall tells you that you’ve only been in this bed for fifteen minutes before you’re told it’s time to start pushing.
Eddie is ready at your side, one of his hands holding yours and the other squeezing your shoulder in gentle encouragement. A nurse stands on your other side, also holding your hand to help brace you for the exertion of pushing.
“We’re about to push now, Mrs. Munson,” Dr. Hahn says from the foot of the bed.
You nod, any words dying on your tongue as you feel the telltale signs of a contraction beginning.
“Come on, sweetheart, you’ve got this.” Eddie rubs his hand soothingly over your shoulder blade as you lean forward, garnering the momentum to get things going.
“Okay, Mrs. Munson, push!”
You grit your teeth and squeeze both Eddie’s and the nurse’s hands as you do what you’re told. The grip you have on both people at your sides has to be hurting them, but they’re both troopers and don’t so much as flinch.
“That’s it, baby,” Eddie encourages.
“You’re doing great,” Dr. Hahn adds. “Keep it up.”
Keep it up? You know you have to, but your body is already exhausted. And you have a whole other baby to push out after this one. You silently decide that any woman who has delivered triplets or higher deserves a Medal of Honor. Twins are difficult enough.
“Ah, here we go. I see the head,” Dr. Hahn says.
A groan that’s a mixture of exertion and pain claws its way free on your next push.
“Almost there, princess.” Eddie holds your hand in both of his and presses kisses against your white, straining knuckles.
“Here’s the head. Alright, Mrs. Munson, we’re going to do one more really big push, okay?”
“Okay,” you squeak out through clenched teeth.
“Big push on three, okay? One, two, three.”
A strangled scream gets caught in your throat as you put all of your effort into getting this baby out of you.
“There we go, good job,” Dr. Hahn praises. “Almost there, almost there…”
A shrill cry fills the room, and you fall back against your pillows, drenched in sweat and breathing like you just finished running a 5k. But you smile. It’s impossible not to with that beautiful noise coming from your newest child.
“It’s a boy!” Dr. Hahn announces. The nurses wipe down your son—your son—as the doctor turns to Eddie. “Cutting the cord?”
“Of course.” Eddie carefully snips the cord where Dr. Hahn instructs, though he probably memorized the procedure. After all, this is his fourth kid.
Dr. Hahn checks the position of the other baby before placing your wailing son on your chest. “Take a moment before the next baby arrives,” she says gently.
You press a kiss to the baby’s scalp. He’s so perfect, so little and sweet. Even his cries are adorable. One tiny fist rests just above your breast as he soothes himself to your heartbeat.
“Another boy,” Eddie muses. “We have three sons now.”
“Eliza is not going to be thrilled if there’s a fourth,” you say, though you know your daughter will probably claim the babies as her own, regardless of their genders.
Eddie kisses your forehead. “I can’t believe this. I…” he swallows the emotion choking his throat. “…I love him so much already.”
“Me, too.” You smile, glancing down at the baby once again. Tears blur your vision. “Hi, sweet boy. I’m your mommy. Aw, I know, I know. It’s bright here on the outside.”
Eddie leans in, tears leaking out as he beams at his new son. “Hi, pal! We got another Munson man here to drive Mommy and Eliza crazy, huh? Welcome to the team.”
Dr. Hahn clears her throat kindly. “Baby B can arrive any time in the next five to thirty minutes,” she explains. “When you feel the urge to push, tell us.”
You nod, barely paying attention to her directions. You’re too in love with the little boy pressed to your heart. After a few minutes of cooing over him, a nurse offers to take the baby to be cleaned and get his vitals taken.
After both of you keep your eyes glued to your new son as he’s being assessed, Eddie leans in and presses a kiss to the top of your head.
“How are you feeling, sweetheart?” he asks.
You tilt your head up and gaze at him with a sleepy smile.
“Exhausted. But so happy,” you tell him. “The contractions don’t feel as painful anymore.”
“That’s better. Now you’re all snuggled up.” A nurse smiles down at your son as she carries him in your direction. “Do you want to see your Daddy? He’s been waiting a long time to meet you.”
“He is absolutely worth the wait,” Eddie says as he accepts the baby. Pure pride gleams in your husband’s eyes as he takes in all the details of your son. The little button nose that scrunches just a bit whenever anyone makes too loud of a noise. The already-dark eyelashes that flutter against the apples of his rosy cheeks. “He’s perfect.”
Eddie takes a few steps closer to your bed and sits on the edge, twisting so you can see both him and the baby. The sight of your husband holding your baby boy brings tears to your eyes, which you quickly wipe away. Nothing is going to obscure your vision while you’re admiring your boys—not even tears.
“Hi, sweetheart.” You reach out and run your index finger over the small knuckles that are clenched into fists. “You’re so beautiful.”
“Just like his mom,” Eddie says.
With a bashful smile, you hide your face against the sleeve of Eddie’s t-shirt.
“Any names in mind?” Dr. Hahn looks up at you from where she’s reading over a chart. She gives you a smile when your eyes meet.
“We have a handful of names,” you say, gaze turning back on your son. “We didn’t know the sexes beforehand, so we had to come up with a little collection to consider.”
“Smart,” Dr. Hahn says with a nod. “A lot of people who don’t find out the sex beforehand find unisex names.”
“We’ve got a few of those on the list,” Eddie confirms.
To you, it feels like you’ve been holding your newborn for mere minutes, but your husband has been glancing at the clock every so often, his pulse speeding up every time you get closer to the thirty-minute mark Dr. Hahn mentioned. He notices you haven’t winced or appeared in pain from contractions during this time either. The last thing he wants to do is worry you as well, so he keeps quiet but keeps tabs on the medical team in the room, trusting they have control of everything.
The moment the clock strikes thirty-one minutes past the first birth, a nurse comes over and gives you a kind smile.
“Okay, Mom, we’re going to start focusing on the next birth now. I’ll keep your little boy safe and sound over here in his cozy bassinet.”
Reluctantly, you watch her take the little bundle and Eddie stands up from the edge of the bed. The nurse rolls the bassinet right on the other side of Eddie, so your husband is between you and the baby.
Dr. Hahn walks over to the other side of your bed and tilts her head as she looks at you.
“I notice we’ve had contractions slowing down,” she says. “That happens sometimes, but we want to make sure we get them going again. I just sent for some Pitocin, which will kick them back into gear. Just hang tight for a few, and then we’ll get your other bundle of joy out here for you to hold.”
Eddie nods at the doctor, too nervous to thank her aloud. He doesn’t want to risk you hearing any trepidation or warble in his tone. You heard the doc, he says to himself. This happens sometimes.
He releases a sigh of relief when the medication arrives only two minutes later. A nurse injects it into your IV line, and all Eddie can do is stare at the clock again. Next to him, your son begins to cry, so Eddie bends over him and gently strokes his beanie-clad head.
“It’s okay, buddy,” he says. “I know, you miss Mommy, huh?”
A little hand reaches up towards the sky, and Eddie slips his forefinger into the tiny grasp. He chuckles at how tight of a grip the tiny man has on him.
“Alright, looks like we’ve got a contraction coming,” Dr. Hahn says, looking at the monitor near your head.
“Ah, shit,” you groan as a familiar wave of pain crashes over your body.
Eddie is torn between the attention of the baby and wanting to hold your hand for support. Luckily, the bed and the bassinet are close enough that he’s able to hold both of your hands at once. Another glance at the clock tells him you’re closing in on forty minutes since the last birth. His heart hammers in his chest, the nerves right on the tipping point of becoming true fear.
At minute forty-five, Dr. Hahn takes up her position at the foot of the bed again.
“Okay, Mrs. Munson. It’s time to start pushing again.”
“Come on, sweetheart,” Eddie encourages. “You got this.”
You nod at him before taking a deep breath, mentally psyching yourself up for another round.
The pushing starts off just as it did last time. But after already doing this once and having the intensity and pain of the contractions come back within a matter of minutes, you find yourself overwhelmed. You wish for the moment you had not ten minutes ago, holding your son with your husband by your side. All smiles and excitement. The stabbing pain reminds you that that moment isn’t here anymore. Suddenly, the lights in the room feel hotter. The beeping of machinery sounds louder. All senses have been dialed up to eleven, as if the medication they gave you not only kicked the contractions into gear, but every other function of your body as well.
As attuned to you as always, Eddie gives your hand a squeeze of encouragement. That small act of affection is enough to give you the strength for another push.
“Okay, we’ve got the head,” Dr. Hahn says.
“Agh!”
Eddie’s brow instantly furrows. This is the third time he’s seen you give birth, and you’ve never made that exclamation of pain before.
“What?” he asks urgently.
Dr. Hahn looks over her shoulder and calls to the medical team, “We have a shoulder dystocia.”
“A what?” Eddie asks.
“What’s wrong?” you pant out through labored breaths, face still pinched in pain.
Dr. Hahn turns back towards you while one nurse steps out of the room, and two others come closer to the bed.
“Your baby’s shoulders are stuck, Mrs. Munson. We’re going to help them out now.” She turns to the nurses approaching the bed. “Let’s get her into McRoberts.”
Eddie’s stomach falls through the floor. Your baby is stuck? A shoulder what? Dystocia? What the hell is that? And what is McRoberts?
“Stuck?” is all Eddie manages to squeak out.
Dr. Hahn nods as the first nurse returns with, what looks like, other doctors. That can’t be a good sign, Eddie decides.
“Stuck on the pelvic bone,” Dr. Hahn says. “Mrs. Munson, we’re going to try and get you into a different position to see if that helps.”
“Okay.” Your voice is small, a punch to Eddie’s gut.
“Mr. Munson, could you just step back a little bit? Nurse Jennifer needs to get in on that side.”
The moment Eddie’s hand lets go of yours, he feels like he’s going to be sick. The urge to push back in and wrap you up in his embrace is strong, but the logical part of his brain tells him he needs to stay out of the way and let the medical professionals do their job. The emotional part wants to kick that logical part’s ass though.
“Mrs. Munson, Nurse Jennifer is going to work on that leg, pushing your knee up toward your chest, and Nurse Peter is going to do it with this leg. Don’t push while they do this, okay? Just breathe. Here we go.”
Eddie watches as each nurse takes one of your legs and hikes them up towards your head. He bounces from foot to foot, his hands coming up to rub over his face, his hair, his neck, anywhere to expel some of that nervous energy. Every terrifying thought flashes through his mind. What if I lose her? What if we lose the baby? What if I lose them both? His entire world hangs in the balance and there isn’t a damn thing he can do about it. He’s never felt so helpless in his entire life. There’s quite literally nothing he can do but stand there and watch it all happen.
A deep breath doesn’t do much to calm Eddie, but it helps enough for him to take a moment to lean down and whisper to your new son, “Use some of that twin telepathy, okay? You’re both Munsons and Munsons are strong. And no one is stronger than your Mama.”
It’s hard for Eddie to see you as Nurse Jennifer stands closer to your head now, holding your leg up at this new angle. Your husband looks up and sees the other medical staff hovering, which, in theory, should be comforting, but it just adds to the stress and fear he’s drowning in.
“Is the baby okay?” your strained voice asks.
“The baby is fine,” Dr. Hahn assures you—assures you both. “We’re just going to have to work a little harder, that’s all. Now, big push for me, okay?”
Your pained moans make Eddie’s heart ache. Nurse Jennifer steps slightly closer to your head, so Eddie takes advantage of the open spot between her and the foot of the bed. He’s standing just above where your pelvis is and he takes in every little detail of you, scanning for any and all possible issues. Your head flops back against the pillow and weakly tumbles to the side.
“Why don’t you try talking to her?”
Eddie looks up to see that Nurse Peter is talking to him. The nurse nods his head towards your struggling form on the bed.
“Encourage her, keep her focused,” he says.
For the first time in his life, your husband doesn’t know what to say.
Eddie nods and licks over his lips. For some reason, he wipes his sweaty palms on the sides of his jeans. He mentally wonders what the hell he’s doing as he thinks about everything that you mean to him. His mouth opens and he just goes with it, becoming a pure stream of consciousness.
“You’re so goddamn strong, Sweetheart. You pushed out one baby and now you’re about to push out another. Even with all of these tubes and needles and beeping things, you’re doing it. I could never do it. I mean, not just because I’m missing the, uh, parts—”
“Eddie,” you choke out as another bead of sweat slides down the side of your face.
“Yeah, baby?”
“Shut up about your ‘parts,’” you choke out with a terse huff of laughter.
Eddie shakes his head before continuing.
“You got this. You’re gonna push out this baby and our little family—well, not that little—will be complete. All because of you. Just keep going, okay? I’m right here.”
“Good, good, we’re making progress,” Dr. Hahn says. “Baby is coming out now. Mr. Munson, do you want to watch?”
If she had asked with the first baby, he probably would have said yes. But with all the adrenaline and emotion coursing through his body right now? He is not up to the task.
“I think I’m gonna stay in this region over here,” he motions around your head and upper body area.
“We’re almost there. Keep pushing, Mama, you’re doing great.”
“You’ve got this, princess,” Eddie adds. “I’m so incredibly proud of you.”
“There we go!” Dr. Hahn says. “She’s here.”
“She?” you ask, pain and weariness falling to the background now that your second baby is finally out. Tears stream rivulets down your face, but you refuse to let them keep you from speaking.
“She,” your doctor affirms with a nod. “It’s a girl.”
“Is she okay?” Eddie asks.
Dr. Hahn looks over her shoulder at where the newly-brought-in medical staff is.
“Neonatal—check for distress.”
A man in scrubs takes the baby from Dr. Hahn and brings her over to where her brother’s vitals were taken. You feel like you’re holding your breath, though.
The nurses who held your legs gently release them back down and step out of the way so Eddie can get to you properly. He immediately cups your face in his hands and presses his lips against yours. Both of you have ragged breaths so he doesn’t hold the kiss for long. But once he pulls away, he’s kissing every part of you he can get his mouth on. Your face and hair are both drenched in sweat, but Eddie could not care less. You’re here and you’re safe and Eddie feels like he could collapse in your arms.
It’s quiet in the room though. The machines are still beeping. Sneakers still squeak against the linoleum. But it’s too quiet and it steals the breath from your chest. Oxygen is sucked out of the room and time seems to stop as your muscles lock and you freeze completely still. A very vital sound is missing.
A few deep inhales followed by a piercing cry cause you to fall apart. She’s breathing. Your baby is breathing and crying. Sobs wrack your body, and you lean into Eddie’s touch. He gently cradles your head as you wrap your arms tight as a vice around his waist.
“She’s okay,” you say to yourself between sniffles.
“You’re both okay,” Eddie responds.
A few drops of water fall onto your forehead. You look up to see Eddie crying almost as hard as you are. Seeing the raw emotion pouring out of him tugs at your already sensitive heart. Your face crumples, and you fall into another round of sobs as you bury your face against his shirt.
Both you and Eddie get the worst of your emotions out before you try to compose one another. By the time you do that, your little girl has been checked over and cleared. Nurse Jennifer walks over with your youngest baby, all bundled up in a white blanket dotted with pale yellow and green polka dots. A small pink cap is situated on her tiny head, and you couldn’t be smiling any wider as you accept her from the nurse.
Every emotion and every hormone are surging through your body right now. The adrenaline crash has left you worn out and weak. But the moment you hold that baby girl, none of it matters.
When you look down at her, you see that your daughter is looking right back at you. A brighter grin than you would’ve thought possible to muster lights up your face. Slitted eyes take in your face almost as much as you’re taking in hers.
“There you are, gorgeous.” Your words are soft and as gentle as the newborns’ skin.
Eddie wipes at his eyes and leans against the side of the bed. His head tilts to the side while he takes all of her in. The pink puckered lips. The sparse eyebrows that already twitch as if she’s displaying all of her emotions through them. She has him wrapped around her finger already.
“Hi, little angel,” Eddie says. “You’re already trying to upstage your brother, huh?”
You let out a soft chuckle.
“Oh boy. Are we gonna have two dramatic little girls on our hands?”
You lean down and press a kiss to her smooth, unblemished forehead. The last thing you want to do is take your lips off of her, but you know Eddie is itching to hold her.
Gently and carefully, you transfer your baby to her father.
Once she’s in his arms, he does his damndest not to cry. To no one’s surprise, it doesn’t work very well. The memory of always wanting a baby girl when he was younger comes rushing back to him. Something in him always knew he was meant to be a boy dad and a girl dad, and he was just waiting for the opportunity for the second one to come along. And now here he is. The father to two daughters. Three boys and two little girls with the woman of his dreams.
A faint beeping is the first thing you register. A phone? No. A smoke detector? No. Oh shit, that’s the monitor you’re hooked up to.
Slowly, your eyes blink open only to be assaulted by the bright fluorescent light directly above you. You squint and shield your eyes as they adjust.
A deep soreness permeates most of your body, but you feel rested and refreshed after getting some sleep. Eddie could see how tired you were and was eventually able to talk you into a nap. Something you assumed he would also take. But when you look towards the window, you see your husband sitting in an armchair, completely bleary-eyed, as he holds one of your babies. The baby is asleep though, so that’s something, you suppose.
“Eds?” you call, voice a hair above a whisper. “Did you get any sleep?”
A tired smile graces his lips as he shakes his head. Gently, he stands up and lays the baby (who you can now see is your daughter) in her bassinet right next to her brother’s.
Eddie goes to take a seat on the edge of your bed, but you carefully move over so there’s enough room for him to properly sit next to you, side by side.
“I called the kids,” Eddie says as he situates himself.
“Were they awake?” You look up at him and let out a large yawn. “Wait, what time is it now? What time did I even give birth?”
Eddie delicately wraps his arms around your shoulders to tuck you into his side.
“It’s almost 3 am now. I called around two, and the boys were still awake. Eliza fell asleep around half an hour after we left. The boys asked if the twins are girls or boys, but I told them they’d have to wait to see until they can meet them in the morning.”
You let out a sleepy chuckle as you let your head rest against your husband’s shoulder.
“Gonna keep the suspense on that bet going for as long as possible, huh?”
“Absolutely,” he says with a grin. “And Baby Boy Munson was born at 12:28 and Baby Girl Munson was born at 1:26.”
Though he doesn’t say anything else, you’ve known Eddie long enough to know that he wants to. His lips keep moving, as if he’s trying to psych them up to form words. You’re not going to pressure him, though. You give him time to gather his thoughts. It only takes a few minutes.
“Sweetheart, I…” he trails off and tears fill his eyes. “I was so fucking scared before. First, the baby is late, and your contractions went down. Then she gets stuck on the way out. Babe, every horrible scenario was running through my head. I was terrified I was going to lose you and a baby at the same time.” He sniffles and shakes his head, a hauntingly devastated look in his eyes. “Even if we hadn’t already decided that we’re not going to have any more kids, this would’ve convinced me. I can’t bear thinking about that, or something worse, happening again.”
“Oh, Eddie…” You slowly reach up and cup Eddie’s face in your hands. One thumb traces along his cheek bone. “It was scary. All I kept thinking was that I need her to be safe.”
“What about you?” Eddie asks.
You take one hand off of Eddie’s face and wave it dismissively in the air. He gives you a reproachful look before you speak.
“I wasn’t thinking of me. Just that little baby who’s been with me for nine months. She was all that mattered in that moment. And Eddie?” You do your best to sit up a little straighter so you can look him in the eye. “If we hadn’t decided to not have any more kids, I’d have so many more of your babies. This didn’t deter me at all. It was a scary few moments, but now we have the rest of our lives with these little miracles. I’ll take that trade any day.”
Eddie sighs. He knows it would be a moot point to argue with you. Though you might not be a Munson by blood, just the name is enough for you to be considered stubborn and hard-headed. Nothing he could say would get you to put the importance of your own safety on the same level as your baby’s. But he knows if the roles were reversed, he would be the same way. You know it too and would absolutely wield that against him in a debate. The thought makes Eddie chuckle softly. He loves how he knows you so well, and how stubborn you can be—though he’s careful to never admit that out loud.
“I love you so goddamn much,” he mutters.
“I love you, too.”
Eddie shifts carefully, handling you like you’re as fragile as porcelain. Part of you wants to tell him to cut it out, but the amount of pain you’re in makes it hard to argue with his gentle demeanor. His moves are slow and intentional as he cups the back of your head and presses a light kiss against your lips. Now this, you won’t stand for. Your hand that doesn’t have the IV needle stuck in it curls around your husband’s neck, and you force more pressure into the kiss.
You feel his chuckle rumble against your lips.
“You’re so difficult, you know that?” he mumbles once he pulls away.
“So I’ve been told.”
Despite how he shakes his head in bemusement, there’s a smile on Eddie’s lips as he pulls you against his chest. You happily mold against him, contorting to lay your head against his shoulder. From how you’re both positioned, you have a perfect view of both babies snoozing away in their bassinets. The two of you stay silent, enraptured in watching the newest members of your family. Each of them has a pacifier in their mouth, but your son’s moves up and down faster, his suckling more insistent in his sleep. Your daughter moves more in her sleep, though. Her little arms move in small circles, reminiscent of rowing a baby-sized boat.
Eventually, you break the silence in a hushed voice.
“I guess we should finalize those names, huh? Unless we want to stick with ‘Baby Boy’ and ‘Baby Girl’ Munson.”
“Those do have a nice ring to them.”
Moving slowly and carefully so as not to disturb him, Eddie reaches out and pulls your little boy’s bassinet closer to the bed. It allows you both to see his face better.
“Well,” you say with a sigh, “since you won’t let me name him Edward after his dashing father…”
“Hey,” Eddie argues, “I agreed to it as a middle name. And I still think Charles would be funny.”
Narrowing your eyes, you lift your head to stare down your husband.
“Charles Munson? With us, his Munson family?”
Eddie laughs softly, burying his face in your hair.
“I’m just kidding, you know that.” He presses a kiss to your temple. “I’m strictly against naming our children after murderous cult leaders.”
“What about cult leaders that didn’t commit murder?” you question.
“Those I’ll consider.”
You huff a laugh, half fueled by exhaustion, as you nuzzle your face against Eddie’s t-shirt. A large, warm hand rubs up and down your back in a soothing manner.
“Out of the few boy names we narrowed it down to, which do you think fits him the most?” he asks.
You turn your head to look back at your newborn son. A couple of the names on the list automatically are scratched off the list in your mind; they just aren’t him. Next, your brain scrolls through the unisex names you can recall.
“He looks like Hayden to me,” you finally say.
Eddie grins and looks down at you. “I was just thinking the same thing. Hayden Edward Munson.”
“H.E.M.”
“Sounds like a good name for a band, those initials,” Eddie comments. “Alright. It’s your sister’s turn, Hayden.”
Eddie gingerly pushes Hayden’s bassinet back to where it was and pulls your daughter’s forward. Once she’s in the position her brother just held, Eddie hums as he rests his head against yours. Most of the names the two of you had on your list were for girls, so this task is going to take a little more time and deduction.
“Wanna try out a few?” Eddie asks. “See how they feel?”
You nod and pick your head up to address the bundled-up baby.
“Hi, Chloe.”
Immediately, your nose wrinkles up and you shake your head, Eddie shaking his as well. It doesn’t suit her.
“What about Dianna?” Eddie asks. He pauses for a moment, considering. “Nah, don’t think so. Amy?”
As if voicing her own opinion, your baby girl starts to whine. She squirms around more than she did in her sleep and lets the pacifier fall out of her mouth. Her little lungs inhale a few breaths, and Eddie carefully slips out from underneath you to scoop her up before she can start properly crying.
“Okay, okay, not Amy,” Eddie says as he picks her up. He sways back and forth next to your bed, gently bouncing the little bundle.
“Her least favorite March sister, I guess,” you joke.
“Well, duh,” Eddie says with a scoff. “She stole Laurie from Jo.”
“No, that’s not…” You smile to yourself and give a slight shake of your head. “That’s a topic for another time.”
A nasally “wah” rings out of your daughter, Eddie’s preemptive strike not enough to keep her from crying.
“Hey, hey, what’s wrong?” Eddie frowns and tries bouncing her with a little more fervor. “Do you want your mommy? She’s right here. It’s okay.”
Eddie gives you a few moments to situate yourself on the bed, readying to accept the baby from him. You hold your arms out and he delicately transfers her.
The moment she’s in your arms, her name strikes you. It’s as if the moment you had contact with her, she spoke to you, telling you what you’ve always been meant to call her.
“You’re Scarlett, aren’t you?” You grin down at her.
Immediately, her cries cease. She turns her small head and nuzzles her little button nose against your arm.
Eddie watches, an adoring smile on his face. He cautiously sits down on the edge of the bed.
“Well, I guess that settles that,” he says. “Hello, my little Scarlett. You almost gave Daddy a heart attack today, you know that?”
“No offense,” you say, quirking an eyebrow up at your husband, “but I think she put my body through more than yours today.”
One corner of Eddie’s mouth kicks up in a smile as he nods his head in agreement.
“What about a middle name?” he asks.
“Can I see the list?” you ask.
The backpack had been kicked halfway under the bed during the course of events this evening, so Eddie bends at the waist to retrieve it. He slips the worn paper out from the front pouch and holds it up for both of you to look over. Your eyes scan down the numerous names, some scratched out or spellings changed over these past nine months.
“How about Aurora?” you suggest.
“Scarlett Aurora Munson. Sounds pretty damn beautiful to me.”
Already as dramatic as his father it seems, Hayden begins to fuss about not being part of the conversation.
“Oh, don’t worry,” Eddie says as he picks Hayden up. He cradles the baby to his chest and lightly boops the tip of his nose. “So does Hayden Edward Munson.”
You watch in adoration as Hayden settles down. Your husband holds him with such tenderness and care. A look back down at your daughter shows she’s drifted off to sleep again. A warmth bubbles up from your stomach, settling in your chest.
“I can’t believe we’re the parents of twins,” you say in breathless wonder.
Eddie steps closer as he sways back and forth.
“Sometimes I still can’t believe I’m a parent.”
Light as a feather, so as not to disturb her, you run your finger over Scarlett’s tiny knuckles. It doesn’t matter that you’ve held countless babies before, it still astonishes you how small they truly are when they start out. Eliza was once this little. So were Luke and Ryan, even if you didn’t know them then.
“You guys are going to love it here,” you tell the twins. “You have the best big brothers and big sister.”
“Who can’t wait to meet you,” Eddie adds. “And there’s a crazy dog named Patch. He’s a good boy.”
“And your room looks just like you’ve walked into the Hundred Acre Woods.”
“Or, if we carried you in there,” Eddie says. “Since you guys can’t walk yet.”
“There’s Pooh Bear and Piglet and Tigger and Rabbit,” you go on. “All the cool ones.”
“And it won’t be long until your sister introduces you to the princesses. I give it less than twenty-four hours, honestly.”
You chuckle, knowing your husband is absolutely correct. A mental image of Eliza bringing out the little chalkboard that’s in her room tickles you. You can picture her setting it up in front of the twins while they rock back and forth in their swings. She would give them a thorough education, that’s for sure.
“You two have so many people who already love you so, so much,” you tell the babies. “Lots of aunts and uncles and cousins to play with. And the coolest grandpa.”
“And you have me and Mommy,” Eddie adds. “And I’ll tell you a secret…we love you guys more than any of those other people do.”
You let out a soft giggle and nod in agreement.
“We’re so glad you’re here. Welcome to the world.”
“It’s not always great,” Eddie says, “but you’re always going to have your family behind you when things get tough. Cause Munsons stick together.”
Scarlett smacks her lips together and turns her face up in your direction. You carefully lean down and press a kiss on her forehead.
“You made our family complete, guys. And we’re so happy that you did. Our little Hayden and Scarlett.”

DRAFT. this fic is incomplete, as i've stated in this post. this has been sitting in the dungeon for a while, and i have no plans to finish them, but i posted these drafts to not let them go to waste. it is up to you if you still want to read them regardless of their incompletion :) i will be writing my original ideas for the fic at the end so you guys will have an idea of what the fic was supposed to be like.
premise. when ayato stumbles upon a drafted resignation letter on your desk, he doubles his efforts to show you the perquisites of staying by his side.
he doesn't want to lose a competent subordinate. that's all there is to it.
note. what's wrong with secretary kim au but it's definitely not the same because i stopped watching at episode 5 and have no idea what happened. anyways i think we were all expecting a ceo!ayato x secretary!reader fic at some point so here it is. (couldn't keep this gender neutral for plot reasons, so feminine pronouns were used.)
Tumblr media
Kamisato Ayato considers himself a good boss.
Or as far as things go, he's a decent one. He treats his employees well, takes them to expensive restaurants for company dinners, and discourages overtime so they can head off early for the night. He doesn't care much for formalities, and he gets along with his colleagues fairly well. He's never heard anyone talk behind his back or complain about his attitude at work, and there aren't any rumors spreading about him (if he turns a blind eye to the conspiratorial gossip guessing his relationship status).
But he does have minor faults. Like showing a more mischievous side when work hours are over. Getting Thoma dead drunk during dinners because his half-conscious inebriated talking is a form of amusement, or riling up Itto in drinking games just because it's funny. Then he leaves Sara to clean up the mess for him, since Yae seems to enjoy the comedy sketch as thoroughly as he does and probably won't lift a finger to help even if he asked her to.
As his assistant, you're prone to falling victim to his shenanigans, silly stunts that coax out aggravated eye rolls and sighs of exasperation. Years of experience eventually shaped you up to be entirely immune to April Fools' pranks.
He's in the middle of planning another one when he spots a letter of resignation on your desk.
At first, he thinks it's your rebellious phase arriving a decade late. He always found it odd how you never retaliated against his tricks, and this may just be the long-awaited April Fools' prank of vengeance. If it is, it's particularly mean of you—Ayato does have feelings, you know? Even he would feel hurt if you told him you wanted to leave! You shouldn't take this kind of thing lightly!
Then he remembers you aren't the type to make jokes, April Fools' or otherwise, and it's that moment when he feels (proper) fear.
Tumblr media
“[Name] wants to resign?!”
Ayato makes a zipping motion and Thoma's shrieks immediately die down, but the disbelief on his face has yet to wane. His brows scrunch together, brain hard at work in processing this piece of information, though it seems to short-circuit in utter confusion from the sudden blow.
Scandalized, Thoma lowers his head and levels his voice to a hushed whisper, “Are you sure you saw it correctly?”
“I have able eyes. Unfortunately, my optometrist confirmed my perfect vision and assured I saw it just fine.” Woe is he.
“Get them checked again.”
“No matter how much I check, it won't change the results, Thoma.”
“We don't know that for sure, sir!”
“Trust me,” Ayato deadpans, looking off into the distance, “I checked with him thrice.”
Defeated, Thoma leans back to his chair, crossing his arms while deep in thought. “You saw the letter, but she didn't turn it in, did she?”
“She didn't. No e-mail, either.” Ayato taps the table in a mindless rhythm, expression stern but the shape of his lips almost resembling a pout. “Do you have any idea why she'd want to resign?”
Thoma rubs the back of his neck sheepishly. “Is that a genuine question, sir?”
Ayato's head snaps back to look at his companion. “Why wouldn't it be?”
“...Everyone in the office knows you... tease her for your own amusement.”
“It's my way of showing affection.” The corners of his lips curl up, stretching to a twisted smile as he rests his cheek on his palm. “Isn't she just so adorable when she gets angry?”
“You really do have a rotten personality.”
Ayato waves his hand in a noncommittal response. “We're straying off topic. What should we do next?”
Thoma hums, closed fist beneath his chin. “Since she hasn't turned in the letter yet, that means she must be hesitating. For what reason, we don't know, but it's keeping her here. So before she makes up her mind, we should dissuade her from quitting no matter what.”
Ayato laces his fingers together, brow in an inquisitive arch. “And we do that by?”
Green eyes sparkle with tenacity, clashing with blue irises twinkling in intrigue. “We bribe her, sir. It's time to show off your good points.”
--
“If a woman quits her job, what do you think her reasons could be?”
Ayaka blinks owlishly at her brother, taken aback by the abrupt question. It's a sudden thing to ask, especially odd given how their conversation hasn't led to that topic at all. “Did someone resign? I haven't heard anything of the sort, though.”
Ayato shakes his head, stirring the boba tea in his hands. “It's a hypothetical.”
Which means it's real.
Ah, whatever. At least he didn't go for the “my friend...” excuse.
Ayaka warily cuts a portion of her cake, scrutinizing each microexpression flashing on Ayato's face. It's one of their weekly lunch meetings, squeezed between hectic schedules, and they more or less have a silent agreement to avoid discussions involving work if they could help it. But this time, he brought it up himself.
How peculiar.
“Perhaps she wants to change workplaces? If she's exemplary, she might have been offered a better position or higher pay.”
Ayato nearly scoffs at the suggestion. The company, old-fashioned as it is, can only be inherited by a direct line of descendants. Outsiders can only go so far, and being the secretary for the chief executive officer isn't bad at all. Last time he checked, he's been paying you generously as well—how many figures was it? Six?
“Oh!” Ayaka exclaims, holding up a finger as she seems to have figured out something. “Or maybe she wants to settle down and get married? If her work is keeping her occupied, she'll most likely take time off to find a husband.”
Ayato proceeds to choke on a tapioca pearl.
“Or she got married and wants to be a housewife-”
“That's quite enough, Ayaka.”
Ayato would rather believe the Earth is flat.
--
If Ayato were any less desperate, perhaps he would have rationalized that putting together “give her what she wants to make her stay” and “she wants to get married” is a bad, bad idea.
Unfortunately for him, he is grasping at straws, so it leaves him no choice. Yes. Definitely. There is no other option than this, obviously.
(He does not delve deeper into the reason why he doesn't want you to leave, nor does he dwell any longer on why he was so quick to think he was fine with getting married if it was to you.)
Tumblr media
“Don’t you want to get married soon, Ms. [Surname]?”
To clarify, Ayato does not spy on other people's conversations for a hobby, but he's always had impeccable timing. It comes with the job.
He stands by the door, reaching for the doorknob to the break room, but the mention of your name forces him to a halt.
“Why are you asking me that...?” You awkwardly dodge the question, sipping on your coffee. “I suppose I am at that age, though.”
“So you do want to!” The squeal rings with a note of glee, a stark contrast to Ayato's gradually dimming mood. “Wouldn't it be nice to marry a good man? I'm sure even you have thought of it at some point! Are you seeing anyone, then? Anyone you can imagine yourself marrying?”
“No, not yet.”
Before Ayato can even heave a relieved sigh, you follow with, “But my mother is making me go on dates to see people. Said if I didn't bring home a man soon, she'd come all this way to drag me back by my ear and introduce me to her friend's son.”
“Ah, I get that...” Your friend replies emphatically, nodding. “But those kind of meetings hardly go well. And you can't exactly tell your mother's friend you don't find her son attractive, right?”
“Why not just marry Mr. Kamisato, then?” Another one pipes up, to which Ayato gives a mental salute of appreciation. “You spend most of your time together. If you're not married to your job, then you're practically married to him.”
A cackle sends his heart dropping to his stomach.
“Not a chance.”
Can you at least expound why?!
“Huh? Why not? I mean, Mr. Kamisato is on another realm of existence and I can never hope to be on the same level as him, but you look good together!”
Your face pinches to a tight frown. “Look good together? In what way?”
“When you stand side by side, it just looks... right. And like I've mentioned earlier, you spend all your time with him. Why not seal the deal?”
“Mr. Kamisato is reliable, and if you marry him, you're set for life. He's handsome too, and we've all seen his muscles at our company sports day a few months ago!”
“I've never been so thankful for team-building events. Hallelujah.”
Ayato's face burns in embarrassment hearing the dreamy sighs. Even if they think there isn't anyone else listening on them (which is false), shouldn't they exert some restraint at work?
“Please don't lust over my boss,” you assert sternly, voice ice cold. “And we have a strictly professional relationship. So don't get any weird ideas from here on out, alright?”
“Fine. Tell me that again when I'm invited at your wedding, I dare you.”
“I said-”
They wave off your vehement protests at the statement. “Then if you're not into Mr. Kamisato, what do you plan to do?”
Ayato perks up, straining his ears in rapt attention.
“...I'm going on a date this weekend,” you sigh, rubbing circles on your temples. “I'll let you know how it goes.”
Oh no.
--
“-Dinner was nice. We didn't expect the rain shower, but he ran to the convenience store across the street to buy an umbrella because he didn't want me to get wet on the way to the car. He said it would be a waste if my hair got ruined since I-”
Slurp.
“...Styled it for the occasion. Then he drove me home. I found out we liked the same band from the music he played, and we agreed to-”
Sluuurp.
“-Go to their upcoming concert together. Then we somehow also like the same novel that's getting a movie adaption soon, so we also promised to see it-”
Sluuuuuuuuuuuuuurp.
“Could you please refrain from making noise when eating, sir?”
Ayato decidedly does not comply and only slurps his boba tea harder, nearly choking on a tapioca pearl yet again.
As always, you learn to ignore him.
“Concert... and a movie. I'm not sure about the concert, but the film you're talking about is the one coming out in the next two months, right?” Thoma confirms, sweating when Ayato's expression turns visibly grim. “You plan to see him for that long...?”
“Even if dating doesn't work out, we can always become friends, can't we?” You shrug, taking a bite out of your sandwich. “He seems like a nice guy. We get along really well, considering we've only met once. I ended up agreeing to a second date-”
The passive-aggressive slurping persists for the following afternoon.
--
“I've been meaning to ask for a while,” Thoma treads carefully, noticing Ayato's rapid-fire typing—no, striking—on the keyboard, “Ms. [Surname] is good at her job, but you seem really... eager to make her stay, sir.”
Ayato's fingers halt in their movement, and he takes a second to flash his business smile. “Of course. She's a valuable asset, and I'd be foolish to let her go.”
“Yes, I'm well aware, but...” Thoma scratches his cheek, looking off to the side. “You didn't go to such lengths when your former assistants resigned from their post. Or, uh... you fired most of them.”
“Yes,” Ayato simply agrees, still smiling, “she's competent. You don't find anyone like her easily, so it's only natural I'd want her to stay.”
“What do you mean by 'anyone like her,' sir?”
Thoma is awfully talkative today. Ayato might need to feed him something spicy to shut him up.
“Ms. [Surname] is special.” The words smoothly leave his lips. “Does anyone else have the meetings and company events scheduled for the next month memorized? She's the only one I can count on for work matters.”
Thoma's shoulders slump. “Okay, let me get straight to the point. Do you-”
“Mr. Kamisato?”
Thoma nearly jumps out of his skin at the sound of your voice, accompanied by the clack of your heels.
“What is it?” The cold smile on his face finally melts to something more genuine, softer around the edges and looking especially radiant. It's welcoming, like your arrival counts as a joyous occasion, and he is exponentially more attentive compared to the way he lent Thoma half his ear (the other preoccupied with a phone call, which he swiftly ends the moment you walk in).
“I came to deliver some files from Ms. Miko... did I interrupt something?” You gesture to Thoma standing idly by the side, dumbfounded from Ayato's inconceivable behavior.
“Not at all. Is there anything else?” Ayato accepts the documents, noticing your hesitance to leave.
“Ah, yes, I will be asking for time off tomorrow.”
That's... rare?
But it's not a hard request. Ayato's own schedule is blank for the most part, since the latest project wrapped up not too long ago, and the workload is lighter than usual. Missing one work day won't do any harm.
“It's fine, but could I ask why?”
You fidget, tentative as you reply, “I was invited... for a trip on a cruise. He insisted I come since his friend bailed on him and the tickets would go to waste.”
The warmth in his eyes freezes over.
“The tickets would go to waste...” Ayato repeats under his breath, mockingly cruel. The tone flies past your head but it hits Thoma full-force, making him sweat profusely.
Distasteful. An utter disgrace of a man. The magnitude of his ignorance is so awe-inspiring, I have to applaud. I must give credit where it is due, and the foolishness of this clown is truly impressive. “The tickets will go to waste,” he says? His money must worth more to him than his dignity. Inviting Ms. [Surname] to a date on a workday with no regard for her schedule is one thing, but making her out to be an afterthought as a substitute for his original travel partner is another. How shameful. This is no way to treat a lady. If Ayaka were to be with a man of his caliber, I would never allow it.
But what he says outloud is of course, “I see. I hope you have fun, then.”
--
Corporate events are, for the most part, adequately entertaining.
Preparing for it is not.
But the worst part isn't even brainstorming themes, or finding an appropriate venue, or planning the logistics, or writing the guest list.
It's choosing what to wear.
Actually, the cause for Ayato's headache isn't even what attire he'll go with. It's yours.
“That looks wonderful,” Yae praises, looking at the picture on your phone. It displays a silver necklace, a tear drop topaz encased in a diamond twist. It pairs well with the dress you bought with Ayaka last week, an elegant fit that accentuated your curves.
However.
“He chose that for you, didn't he?”
The stoic line of Ayato's mouth twitches and his eyes can't help but sweep over your screen, scrutinizing each grainy pixel.
Though he has plenty of insults prepared at his arsenal, he can't find anything to nitpick about. Damn it. It's a good choice.
“You'll look stunning,” Kokomi assures good-naturedly, smiling in delight. Ayato does not doubt that will be the case, but he's sure he would be in a foul mood the entire night if he were to see you adorning it.
He has already retrieved his coffee from the break room so he excuses himself to his office, long strides that lead him out of earshot.
As a result, he doesn't hear the following conversation.
“Why this, though?” Kokomi asks, looking closely at the accessory. “It's a simple design. Doesn't look like something a man would pick from the rest.”
You shake your head. “I just told him I wanted something blue, and I couldn't choose myself because there were too many that caught my eye...”
“Blue?” She echoes, a simple curiosity. “Why blue?”
“...It's a pretty color.”
--
It is an actual coincidence that Ayato runs into you in the middle of shopping.
You're hunched over a display stand showcasing a variety of earrings, deep in thought as you observe each one. You're doing that thing where you scrunch your nose in concentration, a habit Ayato doesn't think you even realize you have.
“Fancy meeting you here, Ms. [Surname].”
(He wonders what face you would've made if he said “You go here often?” instead. Probably some degree of disgust.)
You blink, correcting your posture and nodding in greeting. You don't look particularly thrilled to see him, but at least you're unbothered by the prospect of seeing your boss on a free day. “You're here to shop too, Mr. Kamisato?”
Ayato smiles amicably. “I am. Were you planning to buy earrings?”
“Yes, but...” Your gaze returns to the display, your own smile faltering. “It is a bit difficult to choose.”
He walks over, scanning the variety up and down. “Is it really? You only need to choose a pair that matches your necklace, right?” He focuses on shades of silver, bypassing the vibrant colors of reds and pinks. Not even fifteen seconds later, he picks out a card and holds it out next to your ear. “This one looks nice on you.”
“Huh? Really?” Perhaps surprised by his swiftness, it takes you a moment to react accordingly. You take the card from his hands and flip it over, eyes widening by a fraction. “Oh. It is rather pretty.” Then they widen further as big as saucers. “I can't say the same for the price tag, though.”
“Hm? What price tag?”
He plucks the earrings from your hands, walks to the counter, and pays for it without a second thought.
“M-Mr. Kamisato?”
“Pull up your hair.”
“Eh? Oh, okay.”
You're so caught off guard that you unwittingly do as he says, tucking your hair back obediently and still processing the last two minutes.
His fingers tug at your ear, warmth bleeding to your skin, and by the time you return to reality, he's already putting the earrings on you.
Tumblr media
STORY FLOW.
ok i lied i actually can't remember shit about this fic so i will be making up stuff as i go lol
what i do remember clearly is that the resignation notice that ayato found on your desk is years old. you meant to submit it way, way back when ayato was tougher on you, and you weren't as well-adjusted as you are now to the job yet. as stated in the fic, being ayato's secretary is no easy task—he'd fired countless people he thought was incompetent.
you fought a number of times, and you didn't know if you could keep up working for a man you thought was simply incompatible with you (in terms of being colleagues/partners).
but over time, you learned to work together. ayato acknowledged your efforts and hard work, and you knew ayato had been trying to give you less jobs to reduce your workload, but you were going to prove that hou could handle it.
what truly made you appreciate ayato more was when you got stranded at the train station. you dealt with a far company they collaborated with, but work ended later than expected, and you'd missed the last train home. taxis were an option, but youd have to go through several of them to get back. right when you were thinking of checking into a hotel, ayato informed you he was already on his way and drove a couple of hours to get where you were to bring you home.
time continued to pass, and that brings us back to the present. you were on the process of cleaning up your desk and left the old resignation notice out in the open by accident, which led to ayato seeing it.
it is very apparent to the others that you two like each other, but the involved parties themselves are unaware of it. you currently aren't eager to get married, but you were trying to meet people so your parents would stop bugging you about still being single.
anyway, ayato bought those earrings for you. timeskip to the corporate event. you unconsciously picked a blue motif for your outfit because it reminds you of ayato.
when you get there, surprise, surprise. the man you were meeting, kazuha is a bigwig, heir to some other corporation. he actually owned that cruise he invited you to and pretended he didn't because you might be intimidated. ayato didn't think the kazuha he knew and the kazuha you knew were the same person, and now the advantage he had over him was ruled out (i.e being rich). (actually while i was rereading i was surprised i didn't mention that it was kazuha...? istg i was imagining him the whole time i wrote about him)
anyhow, as it became later in the night, ayato wanted to get you home before kazuha could offer to drive you back or worse, spend the night with him. ayato acted drunk so you'd tend to him and accompany him home while his driver was in charge of taking you to his apartment. as you were nagging at him, he compared your interactions with him to yours and kazuha's. you were certainly nicer to that man. smiled at him a lot more, too. did you really like him that much?
if you did, could he let you go?
he was ashamed that he couldn't answer it right away. as if he had any right to whatever you do.
you carried him to bed when you got to his apartment, but when you were preparing to leave, he hugged you from behind. do you like that man? why do you want to leave me? why can't it be me? ayato was just pretending to be drunk, but he felt dizzy now, soaked in your scent. he said things that he wasn't supposed to. things that he couldn't take back. things that would change your relationship forever.
slowly, you took away the hands wrapped around your waist. ayato figured that was a message of rejection.
but then you pushed him back down on the bed and you straddled his lap. his mind was silent for but a few seconds before he started screaming mentally.
i've always wanted you, but i knew it was impossible. you have a fiancee. i'm an ordinary worker. your family won't accept me. ayato's mind was in a daze because your face was so close to his, and all he could see was the red, glossy shade on your lips, but he managed to hear those few sentences.
it doesn't matter. nothing else matters. i can't marry if it's not you. if you accept me, i swear i'll make you happy.
from here on, it could be a happy, fluffy ending where turns out, you were tipsy so you were more honest with him and you fell asleep in the middle of kissing so he took it upon himself to change your dress into something more comfortable and end the night with a forehead kiss...
...or you could continue what you were doing and the first thing ayato takes off is the damned necklace so he could replace it with a smattering of hickeys. your choice ^^

prank gone wrong - nishimura riki
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary -> ni-ki's silly april fool's prank sends you to the hospital
-> established relationship
the prank had gone too far.
in retrospect, niki should probably have checked everything before messing around with the food.
as a result, you had to be taken to the hospital due to food poisoning and niki feels horrible now. it turns out that some of the ingredients niki used were past their due date for months and, although they smelled just fine, they were not supposed to be eaten at all.
and you, being you, didn’t check and just wolfed down what was given to you. niki’s plan for his april fool’s prank was just mixing up something that tasted bad but looked like it was good. he didn’t try it though and you ate the whole thing, saying it was not bad at all, have you been practicing? with a smile on your lips.
the result was disastrous. your friend had taken you to the hospital himself - and has just now asked niki to stay and keep you company.
as it seems, you had fallen asleep due to the nausea medicine you were given, and the doctor said you could leave as soon as you wake up since you’re all good now but it’s taking longer than expected.
“i’ll just get a taxi to the company,” he says to niki and gives him the car keys. “you drive back safely and let me know when you make it there.”
he only nods and hope the face he’s making is a thankful one because he had panicked when you suddenly stood up from the couch and ran to the bathroom ten minutes after eating the “food” he made and your friend had to step in and take the reins.
“thanks,” niki finally mumbles something but he is already gone.
niki is sitting down on a bench that’s not so far from the room you are sleeping in right now. he would’ve gone in, but he sent your friend instead. it was a shared room and only one visitor per patient was allowed, niki didn’t want to face you yet.
now he’s the one in charge and, although he wants to stall their reunion, niki stands up and takes slow steps until he’s standing in front of the door.
the nurses are taking care of the patient on the end of the room and you are still sound asleep, chest heaving up and down calmly and niki sighs in relief.
no one pays him attention and he shyly sits down on the stool placed right by your bed.
niki stares at the hand sliding down the mattress and is about to reach out when you pull it back under the bedsheets.
niki looks up to glance at your peaceful sleeping face but is met with a glare.
“were you trying to kill me?” you ask, eyes still trained on niki’s face.
“why would I try to kill you?” he stutters back at you, nervously rubbing his hands together. “i’d never do that.”
you huff.
“you were eagerly offering me what you made,” you explain and niki sighs at least twice before covering his face with both hands. “i thought you were trying to get rid of me.”
“it was supposed to be a harmless prank,” niki whispers and doesn’t dare look you in the eye. “i didn’t know the food was not good anymore and it was not aimed at you. my plan was giving it to the first person who showed up in the kitchen, it just happened to be you.”
“so it was not a targeted attack on me?” you whisper and niki looks up when he hears soft laughter. “i won’t hold it against you then.”
“i’m really sorry,” niki pouts and jumps up when he sees you are sitting up. he tries to help you up and gets his hands slapped away.
you glare at him.
“it was just food poisoning”
you leave the bed and fold the bedsheets, niki watches in silence. “it’s not like you ran over me with a car. i can walk and do things by myself just fine. i’m fine now but you’re lucky i’m not too mad right now.”
oh god, if you were bedridden because of that, niki would not hear the end of it.
in amidst his thinking, you leave niki for a second to ask something to a nurse who’s in the room and come back quickly.
“she said we can leave and that I’m dismissed,” you say solemnly, gathering your belongings that were on the small table by the bed and urging niki out of the room. “i just need to hand this clipboard at the front desk before we exit the hospital.”
you wave said clipboard in front of niki’s eyes and takes large steps out of the room and towards the front desk. you were on the ground floor, so everything was done fast, with niki only watching as you do all the talking with the staff.
“how are we going back to the apartment?” you ask as soon as you both are out of the hospital. the wind that hits your faces is cold and niki is reminded that although winter has ended, the chilly weather still remains and he shivers, buttoning his overcoat up. he turns to look at you and feels terrible because you only have a thin sweater on since you left the dorms in a rush, there was no time or space to think about grabbing a jacket for you.
without thinking, niki unbuttons his overcoat and hands it to you and earns himself a funny look from you.
“what are you doing?” you ask, brow raised, and lips pressed together in a straight line.
“trying to be a nice boyfriend after almost killing you,” niki mutters, shoving the overcoat in your hands. “your friend left us with the car but it’s parked a little far,” he starts walking in the direction he remembers it is.
they walk in silence and niki smiles to himself when he sees you have decided to wear his warm overcoat, the sky blue one he loves the most.
the car is parked five blocks from where they were and niki is rubbing his hands against his arms when they finally reach it, teeth clattering and shivering with his whole body.
“you’re an idiot,” you say before entering the vehicle, claiming the passenger’s seat.
“i’m an idiot,” niki confirms once he’s inside the car as well, sighing in relief at the lack of the cold wind but still trying to warm himself up. “are you hungry?”
you hum and put a hand under your chin.
“are you going to cook for me again? because if so, then i don’t think i’m hungry,” you say and laugh at your own words.
niki is sure his ears are red now, he feels them burning hot, but he can’t blame you for joking like that. “but if you’re going to buy something on our way to the apartment and if you’re paying, then I am hungry.”
niki sighs for the nth time and you stifle a laugh.
“are you paying or not?” you say, reaching out to hold niki’s hand that’s frozen on the steering wheel. “do you need me to drive or something?”
“you don’t even have a driver’s license,” niki replies alarmed and turns to give you a look.
“that was a trick question to make sure you’re here with me and not somewhere in your own head,” you tell niki and squeeze his hand with a smile on your lips. the smile comforts niki who was still tense, thinking about the whole incident with regret. “i hope you’re not feeling too bad about what happened.”
“i am feeling bad but,” niki laughs and finally starts the car, turning the heating on maximum and already thinking of where he can stop by for food. “i’m also feeling scared and a little threatened. please don’t get back at me for attempting to prank you.”
you burst out laughing and niki turns to look at you, a shiver runs down his spine. you have a mischievous glint in your eyes, something is brewing in that ingenious brain of yours and all niki knows is that he’s screwed.

April Fools with Simon Ghost Riley
tagging @iliveinthebooks because we had the same idea, A little suggestive at the end
You and Simon have been married for less than a year, this was your first April fools marriage and living together, so you knew you had to go big. With the help of the other guys you learned Simon doesn’t participate in April fools normally, he did one year but that was only to get Soap back for the year prior. Even knowing that Simon would get you back next year you still went through with your plan. The guys were so confused when you told them your plan but they still agreed to help you.
About two weeks before April first you order enough slow feeding dog bowls to replace every plate and bowl in your kitchen. Simon always ate extremely quickly due to his years in the military, it was something you gave up trying to fix long ago, but you always loved to joke about it. Your plan was to replace all the dishes to eat on with slow feeder bowls, so Simon would learn to eat slower. you even planned on giving Riley his food on a normal plate for an extra push, you were hoping you could trick him into believing these kinds of slow feeders are for humans and not dogs.
The day before, Gaz distracted Simon at base while Price and Soap helped pack up all the dishes and move them into your attic, then they helped you wash the new dog human bowls that you and Simon would be using the next day. And after work the day before April fools, they took Simon to the pub, ensuring he got fairly drunk before coming home late.
The next morning you acted like you had nothing planned, you woke wrapped in Simon’s arms, he still wakes up at 5 even if he got drunk the night before, he doesn’t even get up to grab something to help with his raging headache, he just wraps his arms around you and holds you close till you wake up a few hours later. After a bit of pleading Simon finally let you go, you headed into the main part of the house with Simon sleepy following you, you left him in the living room next to riley while you headed into the kitchen
Then you started fixing food for you, Simon, and Riley, making sure Simon wasn’t watching you plate his food. Then just like a normal morning you called “Riley breakfast is ready” and on cue they both got up and walked into the kitchen. Simon paused, staring at the dog bowl, filled with eggs, sausage, and broken up pancake bits with a fork on the side, then he slowly looked to where Riley was, eating off a human plate. “What’s this?” “Breakfast” you replied while you started eating your own breakfast also in a dog bowl as if it was normal
“No no, why the ‘ell, is the dog eatin off a ‘uman plate, and more importantly what the ‘ell is this dish” you suppressed a laugh, playing it off as a cough “you eat really fast, this will help you slow down” Simon looked even more baffled at your response “what’s that even mean” “all I’m saying Simon, is that you eat to quickly and I don’t want you to choke, this is just to help you slow down” by this point you were almost done with your food and Simon hadn’t even touched his “yea for dogs, not for grown men, and why the ‘ell is Riley eating on a human plate then”
You sighed while placing you now empty bowl in the sink, “it’s for humans Simon, and that’s the only plates we have anymore” Simon just marched over to the cabinets, violently opening them as if they would prove his point, but all that stared back at him was a bunch of dog bowls. Simon just slammed the cabinets before going outside, with Riley following right behind him.
Simon stayed out a little longer than usual but he came back in with a plan “I’ll prove they’re dog bowl, lemme call Price” the phone rang twice before Price voice filled the room “wha” “jus real quick, ya know those slow feedin bowls, tha’s for dogs right” Price pause for a moment before responding “Ghost what, no those are human bowls, your wife must’ve started using em too, she probably got the idea from my wife, ‘s not that bad once you get used to it” a giant smile spread across your face, Simon looked genuinely confused, he was really started to believe it, but he had one more question for Price “bu’ what about the dog eating on a normal plate, huh?” Price just sighed like Simon was asking stupid questions “Simon I don’t know what you're talking about. Dogs eat on the same kind of plates as normal people. God, how much did you drink last night?”
Simon just stood mouth agape trying to comprehend the stupidity that seemed to be his reality now, he didn’t even bother answer Price, he just hung up tossing his phone on the couch next to you, and then you piped up “so are you going to eat your food now” Simon through his hands up in the air clearly ready to go off about how wrong you and Price were and how weird you guys were being but you laughter stopped him. Between your laughter you managed to get out a meek little “April fools” and that’s when it hit him “ya little brat, tricking me fo’ no reason, ya even got Price into it” you were trying to apologize but you were still laughing so hard they’re were tears coming out of your eyes. Simon shook his head before picking you up and throwing you over his shoulder heading straight for the bedroom “ya gonna pay for that little trick, now aren’t ya brat”
very exited for april fools on tumbler this year, i didnt open tumbler on april fools last year and i missed out so much :(

Well. I have a feeling I'm about to have a million new followers. (March 31st, 2025; not an April Fool's joke, unless Nanowrimo has very poor taste and timing)
youtube
Here's a link that explains in long video format the whole entire thing in detail:
youtube
and to sum it up:
This blog was made as an Anti-Generative AI to Nanowrimo, as well as a way to actually build a friendly, low-pressure, helpful community of aspiring writers, without the hard-fast-do-it-or-die pressure brought on by nanowrimo.
There is no official "contest" -- only a community coming together to inspire each other to write, help out with motivation by setting community goals, keeping participation motivation via Trackbear.app, etc!
The most popular writing challenge is still November for most people, but I myself have also started to keep a year-round, daily writing goal of 444 via the website 4thewords, which has been an extreme help in getting me to write a little at a time.
This year has been very hectic for everyone what with the election results so I haven't been very active on tumblr (I think everyone can understand that) but I was originally planning on also having each month of the year being a different themed writing / art challenge but got a bit distracted real life.
So, what is the Novella November Challenge?
It's a fun challenge where writers come together to write 30,000 (or your own personal writing goal!) words in 30 days, sharing tips, writing advice, plot ideas, accessibility aids, and committing to having fun while explicitly fighting back against Generative AI by using our own words and disavowing the use of scraping and generating to take away the livelyhoods of artists of all spectrums, and proving everyone who insists "generative AI is an accessibility tool" wrong by committing to our creative visions and making it easier for everyone to find the tools they need to succeed by sharing tips, free programs, and finding a like-minded community to support you! 💙
There is no official website, there is no required place to show your participation, this is a community initiative that will never be monetized by predatory sponsors or dangerous moderators abusing their power.
This blog is here to inspire everyone, regardless of experience level, to write and create the story they want to tell, in their own words, while striving to remain a fun, low-pressure challenge that doesn't turn into a stressful spiral, like often happened with Nano.
Want to start writing but not sure how? Don't have money to spend on expensive writing programs? Have no fear!
LibreOffice: An always free, open-source alternative to Microsoft Word (and Microsoft's other office suits)
4Thewords: A website (both desktop and mobile web browser) that syncs your writing cross platform to the cloud, with built-in daily word goals, streak tracking, and you can fight monsters with your word count to game-ify writing!
Trackbear: A website dedicated to tracking your writing, setting custom goals, and creating leaderboards for community participation; you can join the year-long community leaderboard with the Join Code "f043cc66-6d5d-45b2-acf1-204626a727ba" and a November-limited one will release on November 1st as well.
Want to use Text to Speech to dictate your novel?
Most modern phones have a built-in option available on your keyboard settings which can be used on any writing program on your phone, and most modern PCs that allow a microphone (including headphone) connection has some kind of native dictation function, which you can find by opening your start panel and searching your computer for "Speech to text" or "voice to text".
Want to write while on the go, but don't want to / can't use the small phone keyboard to type, or speech to text?
You can, for as cheap as $40, buy a bluetooth keyboard that you can pair with your smart phone or tablet and use to write in any and all writing applications on your phone -- this allows you to write on the goal (especially using cross-platform websites or services, like 4thewords or google docs) , and the small screen can also help minimize distractions by muting notifications in your writing time.

The Weasley twins birthday headcanon
A/N: I am back for a short moment. I only realised the date about an hour before midnight and went “Oh damn, I could write a fanfic for our ginger boi’s”. I did one last year and I’m hoping to explore more of the twins’ kinky sides in this short piece, cause we all know they’re wild. So enjoy, and happy April Fools day. I realise that this isn't as NSFW as I’d usually write but it's late and I had no time to plan.
T/W: Unprotected sex, Sex shop and item descriptions
Tumblr media
~Another year, another year older
~The twins had found quite the balance in their life. They had a business, a strong brotherhood, and the prettiest girlfriend they could have hoped for
~The had been dropping hints for what they both wanted for their birthday, as many people do
~Whether it's glancing at a shop window for too long or that one magazine, people will subconsciously give away what they want
~Maybe that's why it both surprised you and didnt, at the same time, when a new shop moved into one of the winding ways of Diagon Alley
~The store was filled with various leathered items, phallic displays on nearly every shelf, and books galore on everything from positions to spells for both pleasure and ‘torture’
~The only first ventured inside with the innocent lie of ‘getting to know the new neighbours’
~Little did you know that they’d walked out with a shopping list
~It wasn't your fault that you took a peek, how else to know what a person wants?
~The list was for a few of the spell books, some restraints, and many outfits
~After taking a peek into the shop to do some birthday shopping, you scanned the various isles of outfits
~Nurses, Slutty uniforms for both student and teacher roles, Sparkly lingerie, Underwear of the crotchless variety, and more leather and latex than a bikers crew
~Picking out a few wouldn’t hurt, they'd be appreciative at least
~Of course that's not all you got them. Joke books, various bits and bobs like aftershave and whatnot, and odd colourful socks
~Waking them up was the easy part
~You had put on the skimpiest, tightest lingerie that the shop had to offer and prepared the cake
~Half was orange while the other was purple, candles surrounding the edge so they both had their own collection to blow out
~Not that they’d notice the cake in their nearly naked girlfriends hands
~Singing Happy Birthday like Marilyn Monroe entertaining the president definitely roused them, and their jaws were practically left on the pillow from how stunned they were
~They had to usher you to put the cake down before they pulled you onto the bed and ripped your new pretty lingerie off
~They recognised it instantly, but seeing you in it was more than they could handle
~Instant morning wood
~Fred mumbled something about putting birthday money towards some of the heftier things in the shop, like a certain sex swing that had caught his eye
~George had been drawn to the prettier pink dresses and stockings with pink bows that the shop had, maybe even a certain type of nickname in mind ;)

A Moment of Curiosity (or Weakness) by koel7 (E, 6k, complete)
“I’m having these dreams,” Harry says. “You’re in every one of them. I think you’ve been in them for a long time, I just didn’t know it was you.” Tom inclines his head, and Harry sees the red eyes. He sees deathly, pale skin, and a flash of green light. “Do you remember?”
a pale horse by @ictyn (E, 7k, complete)
Harry, a penniless orphan, struggles to survive under the superstitious judgement of his isolated puritan community. One day, a vile omen is left before the church, an omen which portends only doom. The elders choose to cast Harry out, sending him as a sacrifice to a crumbling castle. The Dark Lord waits within, ravenous for the taste of his blood and the sweetness of his soul.
A Prank Unlike Any Other by A_Single_Cactus (E, 2k, complete)
It was April Fools’ Day. Harry decides to prank Riddle by acting differently. He decides to act nice. It doesn’t go as planned.
Adhesion by @telelli-writes (T, 5k, complete)
Overachieving sixth-year prefect Tom Riddle is on the fast track to be Head Boy next year, a Department Head by thirty, and Minister for Magic by forty. Harry Potter, Quidditch star and the most popular boy in school, doesn't factor anywhere into those plans or Tom's life. Until Professor Slughorn pairs the two of them together on a Potions project.
bad guy by @circleofplanets (M, 5k, complete)
Considered the power couple of Hogwarts, Tom Marvolo Riddle and Harry James Potter have been the topic of interest ever since they got together. A series of interviews getting close and personal with their friends and their outsider perspective on the famed couple.
Blood of the Covenant by @solelyseeking (E, 10k, complete)
Perhaps more than Parseltongue ran through Tom's veins. The Gaunts carried a hunger in their blood- not just for power, as is their right- but for each other. Tom thinks of the way their legacy had dripped from Harry's tongue, later that night, as his wrist works beneath the covers. He feels no shame for his urges. Tradition is sacred, after all. And Tom had always wanted a family.
Consume by @known-concepts (E, 4k, complete)
Something goes awry during Voldemort's resurrection, the balances of life and death are upset, and there is only one way to fix it.
cult classic by @aitafrog (G, 3k, complete)
For his whole life, Harry’s been looking forward to leaving behind the Dursleys and making his own fresh start. He’d envisioned endless opportunities ahead of him, with countless ways of reinventing himself. But for all of his daydreams and plans, he never quite imagined his fresh start involving the infamous cult leader Tom Riddle.
Customer Service by lilacscented (T, 6k, complete)
Furious at Borgin & Burkes’ blatant false advertising and shoddy customer service, Harry spends his Christmas Eve on a quest for Justice. Tom, meanwhile, is just punching the clock for some holiday pay. Both of them end up getting more than they bargained for.
deadbolt by @duplicitywrites (E, 8k, complete)
Tom is stunning at sixteen. He has always been an exception in a sea of mediocrity, a chameleon of sorts, conducting himself with the arrogance of genius astride the pity of orphanhood. Each facet of Tom Riddle is a domino on the path of Voldemort; it is up to you to divert them. Or: Harry goes back in time again, and again, and again.
don't blame the stork by @theonceandfuturequeenoftarts (T, 10k, complete)
Harry feels a little adrift after the war, so Magic decides he needs a baby, Magical Britain decides he needs to be Minister, and Voldemort decides he needs some company.
Eternal Hunt by @metalomagnetic (E, 3k, complete)
Harry wants to be good. Tom wants Harry.
Fearsome Thing by @0p4l3sc3nc3 (NR, 13k, complete)
It was him. The angel. "P-pleased to meet you," Tom murmured, and then cursed his tongue for the stutter, and his throat for the raspy tone of his voice, and his heart for being a traitor. And the angel—Harry, he had to remember that name now, it was of utmost importance—smiled at him. "The pleasure is mine.”
Heartbeats by @cyandenial (T, 10k, complete)
Harry Potter, a medical student, volunteered to help in St Mungo's hospital for the summer, to gain extra credits and some practical experience. He was assigned to look over one old man, a task no one wanted, because Tom Riddle wasn’t making it easy for anyone. His horrible attitude brought about every nurse to tears, and Harry was determined not be among those who cried. To everyone's surprise, he managed somehow… Until he didn't.
his love life and death by @noctelier (T, 5k, complete)
Tom Riddle doesn’t get sick. His immune system, just like the rest of him, is extraordinary. Incomparable. No one would dare suggest otherwise. Which is why everyone goes silent when he starts to cough. Or: Tom contracts Hanahaki Disease, knows what he must do about it, and decides he’s better than all that (until he doesn’t).
Ho, Ho, Ho by @moontearpensfic (E, 3k, complete)
Tom's parents take him shopping at the mall, where he scopes out snake paraphernalia and a Santa Claus with pretty green eyes.
if the moon should ever doubt by @fericide (M, 6k, complete)
They meet in the Astronomy Tower.
Mistletoe Managed by @tommarvoloriddlesdiary (T, 3k, complete)
“What’s so bad about magical mistletoe?” Harry asks. Hermione sighs, “Well, magical mistletoe won’t let a person go until they share a heartfelt kiss... So he'll be there a while.”
O Come, All Ye Faithful by @shyinsunlight (E, 3k, complete)
The sanctity of midnight mass requires dignity, composure, and absolutely not dropping the thurible when Harry fucking Potter walks in fifteen minutes late. Harry, who hasn’t darkened the church door since last Easter, and who’s apparently decided Christmas Eve is the perfect time to make his triumphant return to worship.
paint your eyes with sunsets by @boyneptunee (T, 5k, complete)
Tom moves to a new apartment building where he more or less gets himself a boyfriend and a family. Oh, and there's also a cat.
Resonating Souls by @endlessburningdarkness (E, 4k, complete)
Minister Riddle has an unusually dream filled night.
Roughly 19 Years Later by @dividawrites (E, 2k, complete)
Platform 9¾ is a nice place for reunions.
seven by lilacscented (T, 7k, complete)
Harry meets Tom Riddle on the first day of school. He has just turned seven. “So you’re like me,” he says, a statement, not a question. “Meet me in the woods later this afternoon.”
Soil by @ratzeebatz (T, 11k, complete)
The thing about Tom, and many people were aware of this, is that he had a combination of traits that made him both dangerous and infinitely appealing to anyone that spoke to him.  Or: Tom Riddle is a murderous herbologist, and Harry smells better than anything he's smelled before.
stumbling into wonderful by @satflesk22 (E, 5k, complete)
The Ministry sees fit to meddle at Hogwarts in an attempt at curtailing rising pureblood sentiments, to try and lure prospective recruits away from the Dark Lord Nott. Unsurprisingly, the Heir of Slytherin is stuck together in a room with the Chosen One. The worst part is that it bloody works.
The Betrayal (and Boon) of One's Own Biology by @riverxsong-ao3 (E, 7k, complete)
Tom Riddle had always known he was destined for greatness. As a young wizard, he was certain he would present one day as an Alpha - strong, powerful, in charge. When he did not, he came to accept that he must, in fact, be a Beta. Then, one day, everything changed.
The Descent by @chaos-bear (E, 5k, complete)
Secrets, grief and blood magic collide in the depths of the Austrian Alps.
The Good Knight by @mosiva (E, 9k, complete)
Harry and Tom drifted apart at Hogwarts, and Harry hasn’t seen Tom in years as she’s off travelling the world. But Harry doesn’t have time to be sad about it. She’s got problems closer to home – like helping the Order of the Phoenix to combat the recent rise of one Lord Voldemort.
the thing lay dead by @duplicitywrites (E, 7k, complete)
In the end, there was one body that all refused to touch. It unnerved people to see even the corpse. Harry tended to him, this man made mortal. Smooth, alabaster skin and thin, brittle bones. Peaceful in death as he had never been in life. No longer a monster. Now a body, just like everyone else.
this is my persona, secret lover (he's my collar) by souliloquium (M, 3k, complete)
Some things are the same, some things are different. Harry is not the Boy Who Lived. He still finds the locket. And Tom finds him.
We Bow to Each Other, Harry by @liquidluckandstuff (T, 4k, complete)
Harry falls asleep with the Horcrux around his neck and has a very strange dream.
When the Weight is Gone by @marrythemonstersao3 (M, 7k, complete)
In the quiet after the war is over, Harry feels the empty space in his soul like a missing limb. Eventually, his grief and longing come to a head when Death offers him a choice: to move on for good, or go back and do it over again.

𝓊𝓅𝒹𝒶𝓉𝑒𝓈… 𝒶𝑔𝒶𝒾𝓃 ! ! 𝒻𝓇𝑜𝓂 𝓋𝒾𝓋𝒾
Tumblr media
To start off, sorry I haven’t posted any fanfics lately.
Well, other than “Rizz the Wolf” April Fool reaction—look man I was really hyped and I couldn't help myself, I'd like to mention that I’ve got two exams this week and one more after that, so things have been kinda hectic for me as my spring semester is ending soon.
I’ll try to post something this weekend or later.
Now, about the update on Geo… y’all really blew up my inbox. I was sitting in a chemistry lecture, taking notes on my iPad, when like 30 people inboxed me, saying overall ‘CHECK TWITTER!’ I was so confused, just staring a my screen like, "wtf is going on???" 😭 I legit thought something bad happened, so I checked Twitter all dramatically like I was about to read a scandal.
Tumblr media
First off, I just love seeing updates from @fantasia-kitt. And since y’all were MAYBE waiting for my "official statement"—because apparently, I’m the top writer that actually enjoys writing about Geo (which, fair, I do take almost every request I get)—here it is:
I admire it ♡. Like deadass, omg.
Seeing Geo as Aroace just makes so much sense, like I already knew funny enough. It fits him perfectly—both personality-wise and character-wise. If there was ever a character who would straight-up say, "I literally do not have the time nor interest in a relationship,"
It’s literally him.
That being said… yeah, I guess this means almost everything I’ve written about Geo so far isn’t exactly accurate. Especially when it comes to writings like [ 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝒾𝓇 𝓀𝒾𝓃𝓀𝓈 ] or [ 𝓈𝒽𝒾𝒷𝒶𝓇𝒾 ]—to tell ya'll the truth, I was kinda hated writing those.
I still lowkey head cannon him into Japanese bondage, Shibari—in a non sexual manner, like he just wanted to learn because he just happens to be interested in it.
Yes, I did a lot of research for them, but to keep it real, I only wrote them for my dearest readers because, at the time, there was barely any NSFW content for Geo, and everyone kept asking for it.
However, at the back of my brain, I already knew it didn’t fit his character, which was my original plan to never write it in the first place. If I’m being honest, I do feel a tiny bit disappointed—not at Geo being Aroace now.
Like, I’m actually hyped about that.
Sidenote—Do you know how rare perfectly written Aroace, aro, or even just ace representation is?
HARDLY ANYWHERE.
It’s a constant battle trying to explain to people that this is who I am, and half the time, they just don’t get it because no one really talks about it.
So seeing a character like Geo, who actually fits the identity so well, is a huge win. It’s more about the fact that I knew I understood his character so well, but I kept holding myself back and writing him wrong—just to please everyone.
That’s on me, and I’ll never do it again.
So, this short update hits close to home.
Like Fantasia mentioned, "Geo has a special place in my heart since he reflects my own sexuality as well being an Aroace and I thinks this fits him more personality and character-wise." End quote.
And truthfully, same.
As mentioned, I’m asexual—like, if you’ve been on my blog for even five seconds, you’ve probably seen the spade symbols everywhere or my about me pinned post. It’s my way of repping my sexuality—hell, I even wear it as jewelry daily.
Also, a thought: I might be aro too, but I haven’t done a deep dive into that yet. Relationships have never really been my thing, and my priorities have always been my academics and career, so… maybe? Who knows.
Like, I’ll probably sit with it over the summer when I finally have some free time to contemplate my existence properly.
For those who don’t know me personally… let’s see…
if I had to sum up my personality, just picture Dr. Cristina Yang from Grey’s Anatomy or Kyoko Kirigiri from Danganronpa (btw, Kyoko is the only character in that game I care about). That should give you a pretty solid idea of how I operate.
That being said, I’m definitely still writing about Geo.
Don’t get it twisted—I was never gonna stop. I’ll just be going off my own thoughts now, and hopefully, everyone’s cool with that.
But please, for the love of all that is holy, do not ask me to write that Sol and Geo threesome. I was deadass joking in [ 𝒿𝑒𝓁𝓁𝓎 ]. Same with Hyugo and Geo x Reader request in a relationship—logically, it just doesn’t click for me to write something like that.
I enjoy writing about Geo—he’s one of my comfort characters (which, mind you, I only have like four on that list). And honestly?
Still my ideal type. I relate to him a lot. Not saying I’d date myself, but when I write him, I often think, "How would I react?"—except I dial up the arrogance, smugness, and overall asshole energy.
And before you ask, "Why the hell would you even want to date someone like that?"—leave me alone. 😭
Again, dating isn’t exactly high on my priority list.
I just think about it sometimes—mostly because my parents won’t get off my ass about it. They keep saying, “Don’t waste your life just focusing on work,” but like… I genuinely don’t have any desire for it. I just want to enjoy life, make a decent living, and maybe—if anything—consider marriage way down the line.
But if I HAD to pick, it’ll be Geo.
Like in a best friends kind of way. Personally he’ll be so understanding because he too feel this way. I’ll annoy him so much.
The reason why, to me, relationships are just really close friendships with extra steps. If you’re dating someone, shouldn’t they also be your best friend? Deadass my friends call me weird for thinking that way, however I like to see it that way.
This is why the only piece I actually enjoyed writing was [ 𝓉𝓎𝓅𝑒 𝑜𝒻 𝒷𝑜𝓎𝒻𝓇𝒾𝑒𝓃𝒹 ]—ironic isn’t it? I just thought of Geo and me as best friends and converted that into something for whoever was reading.
I always saw it as experiencing romantic and sexual attraction differently than most people. Relationships aren’t one-size-fits-all—they take on different forms depending on the people involved.
With Geo, I was just being transparent about who he is, what his needs and boundaries are, and how that shapes his dynamics with others.
Same goes for real life—your needs, your expectations, their needs, their expectations… It all comes down to communication.
That’s everything.
And like Geo isn’t heartless now. If you play “Rizz the Wolf”, it just proves how much Geo actually cares about his friends. Like dude, look at how he treats Crowe and Deryl. Sure, he was pissed at Deryl for touching him and just straight-up being goofy, but he still let him do it.
And Crowe? Crowe did so much for Geo. It’s literally in the game’s glossary that Crowe helped him after he got kicked out of high-class society. No wonder Geo wipes Crowe’s face with a napkin.
Not gonna lie, kinda wish that was me.😗
What I’m getting at is—this all just clicks.
So yeah, Geo not doing romantic relationships?
Officially canon. He doesn’t see the point, doesn’t have the time, and honestly? This just gives me even more material to work with—so stay tuned for the next post ! !
I’ll catch y’all later—thanks for listening to my rambling, my dearest readers. ♤

Be my Valentine? Mattheo Riddle (1/2)
Mattheo Riddle had never been the type to get all soft and sentimental, which is exactly why his friends were completely dumbfounded when they caught wind of his elaborate plans for Valentine’s Day.
“You—you actually planned something?” Theo stammered, watching as Mattheo adjusted the bouquet of enchanted blue roses in his hands. They shimmered slightly, their petals shifting between different shades of blue—Ravenclaw colors, of course.
Draco narrowed his eyes. “You do realize what day it is, right? Valentine’s Day, not April Fool’s.”
Mattheo rolled his eyes. “Yes, Draco, I’m aware.”
Lorenzo let out a low whistle. “Wow. You’re really in deep, mate.”
Mattheo just smirked, shoving his friends aside as he made his way toward the Ravenclaw common room. The whole castle had been buzzing about the infamous Slytherin bad boy actually putting effort into something romantic—a rare sight, indeed.
But when he finally saw you, his usually cocky demeanor faltered just a bit. You were sitting by the fireplace, nose buried in a book as always, completely oblivious to the whispers of students watching to see what he'd do.
Clearing his throat, Mattheo stepped forward. “Happy Valentine’s Day, love,” he said, holding out the bouquet.
You blinked up at him, clearly surprised. “You… got me flowers?”
Mattheo chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. “Yeah, well. They’re enchanted. Thought you’d appreciate the charm work.”
You smiled, setting your book aside and taking the bouquet. “They’re beautiful.”
The whispers around you grew louder as Mattheo suddenly pulled out a small wrapped box from his pocket. “And, uh, I also got you this.”
The entire room went dead silent.
Theo, watching from the entrance, nearly choked. “A gift too?! Is he possessed?”
Ignoring them, you unwrapped the box, revealing a delicate silver bracelet with a tiny raven charm dangling from it. Your heart melted. “Mattheo, this is—this is perfect.”
He shrugged, trying to act nonchalant, but the pink dusting his cheeks gave him away. “Figured you deserved something nice. You put up with me, after all.”
You grinned before standing on your toes to press a soft kiss to his cheek. “You’re the best.”
Mattheo smirked, throwing an arm around you as he turned toward his dumbfounded friends. “See? Told you I could be romantic.”
Draco shook his head. “Unbelievable.”
Theo just sighed. “Never thought I’d see the day.”
But Mattheo didn’t care. Not when he had you smiling at him like that.
You laced your fingers through Mattheo’s, ignoring the way his friends were still staring at him like he’d grown a second head. It wasn’t every day that the infamous Slytherin bad boy voluntarily planned something thoughtful—let alone something as sweet as this.
Mattheo, never one to enjoy being the center of attention for this kind of thing, turned to his friends with an unimpressed look. “Are you lot done gawking, or should I put on a whole bloody performance?”
Theo crossed his arms. “I mean, at this point, you might as well. Maybe recite a sonnet?”
Draco snorted. “Or get down on one knee?”
Mattheo groaned, dragging a hand down his face. “Merlin, you lot are insufferable.” But then he turned back to you, his fingers playing with the bracelet now fastened around your wrist. His voice dropped to something quieter, meant just for you. “I do have more planned, if you’re up for it.”
Your brows lifted in amusement. “Oh? What else does the great Mattheo Riddle have in store?”
He smirked, a glint of mischief in his eyes. “Wouldn’t be much of a surprise if I told you, now would it?”
Before you could respond, Pansy Parkinson strolled past, doing a double take when she saw the two of you. Her eyes flickered to the flowers, the bracelet, and the way Mattheo’s hand was still holding yours. “No way.” She turned to the group. “Alright, which one of you Obliviated him?”
Mattheo rolled his eyes, but before his friends could add more commentary, he tugged you toward the door. “Come on, love, let’s get out of here before they start a betting pool on whether or not I’ve lost my mind.”
“Too late,” Theo called after him.
As you walked down the corridor together, you looked up at him, your heart warm at the effort he’d put into today. “You really didn’t have to do all this, you know.”
He glanced down at you, his usual smirk softening. “I wanted to.” He squeezed your hand, thumb brushing over your knuckles. “You’re my girl, and I figured… well, you deserve something special.”
Your smile was radiant, and Mattheo felt something unfamiliar stir in his chest—something warm, something undeniably real.
You squeezed Mattheo’s hand, warmth spreading through you at his words. The boy who was known for his sharp tongue, reckless behavior, and general disregard for authority had just planned an entire Valentine’s surprise for you. If that wasn’t shocking enough, he actually seemed nervous about it—like he genuinely cared about making the day special.
“So,” you said, nudging him playfully as you walked, “where are you taking me, Riddle?”
His smirk returned, the mischief back in his eyes. “Patience, love. You’ll see soon enough.”
Despite the vague answer, he led you with confidence through the castle, his pace quickening as you reached the grand staircase. Students whispered as you passed, still in disbelief that Mattheo Riddle—the Mattheo Riddle—was walking hand-in-hand with his Ravenclaw girlfriend, looking genuinely happy about it.
When you finally reached the Astronomy Tower, you gasped softly. The usually cold and dimly lit space had been transformed. A thick enchanted blanket covered the stone floor, radiating warmth, while floating lanterns hovered around, casting a soft golden glow. A small spread of food was laid out—chocolate, fresh fruit, and what looked like your favorite pastries from Hogsmeade.
You turned to Mattheo, eyes wide. “You… did all this?”
He shrugged, shoving his hands in his pockets, but you didn’t miss the way his ears turned pink. “Well, I had some help with the food. Obviously I wasn’t about to bake or some shit.”
You laughed, shaking your head in disbelief. “I can’t believe you did all this.”
“Yeah, well,” he said, his gaze meeting yours, something softer in his expression now, “I figured you deserved something nice. Something… I dunno, special.”
Your heart clenched. The notorious Slytherin troublemaker, the boy who acted like he didn’t care about anything, had gone through all this effort for you.
Overwhelmed with emotion, you stood on your toes and cupped his face, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips. He stilled for half a second before melting into it, his hands settling on your waist, pulling you closer.
When you pulled away, you grinned. “You’re actually a big softie, aren’t you?”
Mattheo groaned, resting his forehead against yours. “Don’t let that get around, love. I’ve got a reputation to maintain.”
You giggled, tugging him down onto the enchanted blanket with you. “Don’t worry. Your secret’s safe with me.”
As the two of you sat together, sharing chocolate and watching the stars, Mattheo realized something—he didn’t mind being soft, not when it was with you.

⋆.˚ ᡣ𐭩 ⏖ ’ CANON FACTS ABOUT PIPPIN (idk if its "canon" or "cannon" but anyway-) according to the books !!
+ reblog if you have things to add, i probably missed some infos :3
splashes water absolutely everywhere when he takes a bath + likes to sing while he does so (fotr, book 1, chap. 5)
in lothlorien, the fellowship had to cross a very complicated bridge (i don't remember what it was exactly, i think it was made of ropes or smth). he was the only one of the hobbits who managed it very well because "he was sure-footed" (fotr, book 2, chap. 6)
when he was kidnapped with Merry, the orcs whipped them to make them run + a plan was hatched to make orcs believe they had the Ring (he was imitating Gollum) + he had been wounded at his arm + when they managed to escape from them, he was the one who made decisions etc, he was the most lucid (ttt, book 1, chap. 2)
when he and Merry first arrived in Fangorn, it reminded him of a place in Tuckborough, the "Took House", where "the furniture hadn't been moved for generations" (because it was very stuffy and dark). nothing in this place mentionned "changed in a century, when the Old Took died" (ttt, book 3, chap. 3)
when they traveled with Treebeard, he tried to count Ent's steps but quickly lost track (ttt, book 3, chap. 3)
his first impression of Theoden King was that he was a "good old man, very polite" (ttt, book 3, chap. 8)
when he saw Gandalf for the first time since his "death" in Fangorn, the first thing the wizard told him was "get up, you fool of a Took ! where is Treebard, for god's sake ? i need to see him, quick !" (ttt, book 3, chap. 9)
one of the reasons he wanted to look in the Palantir was that he was frustrated that Gandalf took it from him without telling him anything, whithout any explanations or informations, even though "he was the one who picked it up." he talks abt it with Merry just before he looks into it (ttt, book 3, chap. 11)
when he looked into the Palantir and "talked" with Sauron, he felt as if he was being "pierced with knives" (ttt, book 3, chap. 11)
at Minas Tirith, he spent most of his days with Beregond (a knight of Gondor) and his son Bergil (rotk, book 1, chap. 1)
his father cultivates some lands around Whitwell, its near Tuckborough (rotk, book 1, chap. 1)
in march he said he was "almost 29", then his bday is probably in april (rotk, book 1, chap. 1)
he's smaller than a 10yo boy (Bergil is 5' and he's around 4') lol (book 1, chap. 1)
he had been smashed by a troll during the battle of the black gate. its Gimli who saved him. he recovered only one week later (which is a bit odd. wdym a troll fell on him and one week later he walks around like nothing happens) (rotk, book 5, chap. 10 + book 6, chap. 4)
just after the war, at the Cormallen fields, him and Merry were serving the kings during the feast (rotk, book 6, chap. 4)
when the hobbits came back to the Shire, Saruman had taken possession of their lands so there was a war, and it was Merry and Pippin who fought the most and lead the others (rotk, book 6, chap. 8)
he lived for some years with Merry in Crickhollow. they were very, very popular bc of their swords and height and all (i can understand, they are sexy af), some called them of "royal" (rotk, book 6, chap. 9)
<3
PS : im sorry guys, my lotr books are in french, then all the quotes i wrote are note exactly the same as the original bc i translated it !!
kiss on ur hairy feet :3

POST INFO: 📌 Title: "Can You Two Be My Parents?" – KNY Characters React! 📌 Characters: Muzan, Upper Moons, Hashira, Main Trio (Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke) + Genya 📌 Requested by: 🦐Shrimp Army General (HAPPY APRIL FOOLS! 🎭) 💬 Summary: Imagine you’re just chilling with your favorite Demon Slayer (or demon 👀) when a random child tugs on your sleeve and asks "Can you two be my parents?" with big, innocent puppy eyes. 💀 HOW DO THEY REACT?! ⚔️ What to Expect: Muzan running for his life. Doma saying “YES!” way too fast. Sanemi MALFUNCTIONING. Obanai CHOKING on air. Zenitsu already planning baby names. Tengen considering adding a 4th wife?! Absolute CHAOS. 👹 UPPER MOONS + MUZAN 👹
🔴 Muzan Kibutsuji – “Excuse me??” 💀
Straight-up disappears in mist form before the kid can finish the sentence.
Hates children. Hates this even more.
If Y/N looks at him expectantly, he glares and says, “I would rather burn in the sun.”
🩷 Doma – “Of course, my dear~! Come to Daddy~” 😘
Picks the kid up instantly and spins them around.
He’s loving this, completely ignoring Y/N’s reaction.
Probably tries to adopt the entire orphanage.
💙 Akaza – “…Tch. I don’t have time for this.” 😤
Awkward. So awkward. He’s not built for parenting.
Crosses his arms and looks away, face heating up.
If Y/N says, “Aww, Akaza, look! They want you as a dad!”
Akaza.exe has stopped working.
🟣 Kokushibo – “…You mistake me for someone who has such attachments.” 😐
Acts cold, distant, like he doesn’t care.
But deep inside?? He lowkey considers it.
Stares at Y/N like “Are we… a family now?”
🟡 Hantengu – “G-GAAAAAH! WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT!?” 😱
Runs away crying.
The clones all react differently:
Sekido: "Hell no."
Karaku: "LMAO sure why not."
Urogi: "Can you fly? No? Lame."
Aizetsu: "This is... depressing."
🟢 Gyokko – “A disgusting brat! BEGONE!” 😡
Throws a tantrum.
If Y/N scolds him, he dramatically cries like, “HOW COULD YOU CHOOSE A CHILD OVER ME?!”
⚔️ HASHIRA ⚔️
🔥 Rengoku Kyojuro – “HOHO! A CHILD WHO SEES OUR GREATNESS!” 😆
Accepts IMMEDIATELY. No hesitation.
Starts lecturing the kid about honor and discipline.
Y/N has to stop him before he starts training the child.
🌬️ Sanemi Shinazugawa – “WH— WHOSE BRAT IS THIS!?” 😡
Panics. Hard.
Looks at Y/N like "EXPLAIN??"
"Go find your real parents, kid!!"
If the kid tears up, he SOBS INTERNALLY.
🌊 Giyuu Tomioka – “…Why me?” 🧍‍♂️
Stares. Blinks. Stares again.
He does not know what to do.
Just silently accepts because he doesn’t want to make them cry.
💎 Gyomei Himejima – “Oh, dear one… If you are without a home, I shall protect you.” 😭
Immediately adopts the child.
Crying. Already planning their future.
Y/N is just there like “WTF JUST HAPPENED?!”
🐍 Obanai Iguro – “…I think you’re mistaken.” 😐
Immediately uncomfortable.
Looks at Y/N like "Why are you laughing?!"
Tries to leave, but the kid clings to him.
💜 Shinobu Kocho – “Oh my! How adorable~” 🥰
Teases Y/N SO MUCH.
“My, my, Y/N, I didn’t know we looked so married~”
If Y/N plays along, she gets super flustered.
👦 MAIN TRIO + GENYA 👦
🟠 Zenitsu Agatsuma – “OH GOD— WAIT— DID Y/N AND I GET MARRIED?!” 😱
Absolute meltdown.
Too dramatic. Starts planning baby names.
Will pretend to be a dad just to impress Y/N.
💚 Inosuke Hashibira – “PARENT?! ME?! HAH?!?!” 🤯
"I AM LORD INOSUKE! I DON’T RAISE KIDS!!"
Five minutes later? He’s teaching the kid how to headbutt.
❤️ Tanjiro Kamado – “Oh! That’s so sweet! Of course, we’ll take care of you!” 😊
WHYYY IS HE SO PURE.
Y/N can’t even tease him because he’s so wholesome.
Would actually raise the child.
💀 Genya Shinazugawa – “…Huh?” 😳
Blushes instantly.
Looks at Y/N like “D-Did you hear what they just said?!”
Doesn’t know how to respond. Probably just pats the kid’s head awkwardly.
