Happy March!!

This devlog is going to be a bit shorter, but...... it's for Exciting Reasons that I will share later in the post. heh.....heh.....HEH.....

Let's jump in ^^

This month, writing was mostly dedicated to Etza's route! We have officially entered the Developmental Editing part of Etza's route, which is super exciting!!!

There were parts of Etza's route I wasn't completely satisfied with, so I spent a lot of this month tinkering, adding, fleshing out, editing, etc. for their route. I'm happier with it now compared to where it was when we entered this month, and especially with Wudgey's help, I'm excited for Etza to get the love they deserve!

I had a small, optional goal for myself to start Kuna'a's route, but honestly, I felt like between work with the Enhanced Demo, Etza's edits, and just generally feeling a bit tired after being Super Productive in January and February, I decided to give myself a break. That being said, I'm relatively confident I'll be getting started with Kuna'a's route next month, and I'm excited to dive into their route (and the Fae routes in general, teehee!).

Vui is on the very last of the BGs I need from him..... So I am in mourning.......

Kidding but not kidding. Vui has done an amazing job of putting the backgrounds for Alaris together! They're absolutely stunning, and by the time we get to the next devlog, he will have finished ALL of the BGs for Alaris! It's been about a year and a half in the making, which is kinda crazy to think we have been together for this long (and working on the full game for this long), but it's definitely A Moment.

In celebration of him reaching this milestone, I wanted to highlight some of the BGs he's made for the game! The theme is early morning; some of these BGs are in the demo, and some are in the full game hehe. You'll have to guess the context of the mysterious full game BGs :')

I also thought it's been a while since I showcased a CG here. While I don't play on showcasing many of the full game CGs on public devlogs (I do show them on my Patreon!), I wanted to show a little snippet of this specific CG.

Why, you ask? Well, for the OGs, you might remember I showed a sketch of the CG during the Alaris Kickstarter---whenever the hell THAT THING happened.

I finished rendering it now that I got the BG for it, so I wanted to show a peek of that sketch that I showed oh-so-many-years ago.

Sneak Peek: Selection Screen for Alpha/Beta Access (OUUUUGGGGGHHHHH)

I STARTED CODING KAYN'S ROUTE!!!! The first act is already "done" and ready for beta access. And I'm hoping to finish the other two acts within the next couple of weeks. It is crazy to finally be able to code some of the full game routes. Even if they're not at the "final version" or early access stage, it is Extremely Rewarding to finally experience the scripts I've been writing in the game!!! With the CGs.... Extended Screens..... Just seeing the script with visual assets and not just a Google Doc is SOOOOO FSEIKLFJSEILE

Sneak Peek: Chapter Character Cards (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA)

The second piece of Exciting News is that I have a release date for the Enhanced Demo. YEEEEAAAAAA. It's finally happening!!! Please stay tuned over the next couple of days...... An Exciting Announcement is on its way...................................

I didn't do much market research this month. If I'm being honest, I actually struggled a little bit this month with like...... burnout and workaholism guilt. I wanted to take a break after getting the demo ready for public release, but I just couldn't bring myself to fully rest. It felt like there was so much to do (not just with Alaris, but also with real world/work obligations) and all these looming deadlines was starting to get to me.

I'm hoping next month because I'll actually be Releasing the demo (oops, sneak peek of general release date teehee!), I'll be able to feel like I can take a break. But it also sucks a bit that I feel like I have to Earn It. I think with Alaris being a Kickstarter project, I want to get the game in your hands as soon as possible, but of course it's not to anyone's benefit if I burn myself out in the process and end up with either a worser project or taking even longer to finish it.

I did...... start Stardew Valley again since it is the ultimate dissociation/break game for me. So far it's been working! But we'll see how it continues <3

My deepest apologies for being unable to write for a while. Due to me being busy with a lot of writing for my 2nd Term of my 1st Year of College I ended up getting a bad case of Writer's Block, due to my mind becoming mentally exhausted from various homework and projects. 😅🎀

Luckily the 2nd Term of my 1st Year recently finished a few days ago, and I'll be returning to my 1st Year's 3rd Term this coming May 8. But in the meantime, I'll try my best to complete Chapter 7 for my Cookie Run Kimura AU!

Cookie Run Kimura AU 🪴 Episode 7 (Preview) - Full Experimental Alchemist 🧪

Grandmaster Hotel, Sparkling's Juice Bar Wednesday, 5:41pm  in the Afternoon

"Hehe!! I supposed that was one dance within the starlights!", Herb politely chuckled while watching the reel that Sparkling posted on his Instagraham Page (Cookie Instagram Page) that ended up getting a lot of views within the first few hours alone.

As promised, Vampire sent the video he recorded on his phone to Sparkling. With the blonde teen himself both posting it and also adding the red-haired teen as a collaborator of the aforementioned reel.

"Wow! And it's crazy that you and Rockstar chose to stop the crowd from betting on either of you!", Cherry Blossom pouted in disappointment, "You won that match yet…"

Sparkling served the usual drinks to the rest of his friends, ending with serving Cherry Blossom her usual Sakura Milkshake. He sighed before replying with, "Even if Rockstar won instead of me, we both had the same idea regardless of the outcome. That being that there shouldn't be any bets, and that in the end we chose to dance for fun and sincere enjoyment."

"That's one reasonable and truly humble answer, Sparkling. It's cruel to see that there's not many cookies who have just as logical of a mindset as you, Herb, Cream Puff, and most of the cookies here...", Cocoa Butter (Dark Choco) calmly joined in the conversation as he drew on his calligraphy sketchbook.

The dark-haired teen gave an oblivious Cherry Blossom one silent side eye, drawing a quick sketch of one cute blue bear jelly plushie. The one that Herb won for him earlier in the arcade, which is also sitting right in front of him on the table.

Mango showed one big warmhearted smile, giggling at the amount of fun his friends are having. At the moment he was writing down the remaining few things on his notes from his phone, listing down everything the Student Council needs to do for the Science Fair.

"That looks like a lot of work that you wrote down.", Cream Puff spoke, taking a small little peek on Mango's list and overall sets of notes, "Working hard as ever, I see! Hehe!"

The young Student Council President himself nodded, double checking if there's anything that he needs to add or remove. Smiling kindly with complete satisfaction and happiness, "Everything is written down, and assigned the required things for each of us to do. Each is given a couple of tasks that's best suited for the five of us, both as individuals and as a team!"

One thing led to more chain reactions within the Blooming Friend Group. Most of them involve Herb and Sparkling offering their help to Mango and Cream Puff. A couple of times would have Cocoa Butter give some ideas as well, and Cherry Blossom followed along every so often.

Vampire would join in at times, recommending what the Student Council can do to promote the event in the Lotte World Tower and even make the event more widespread but reasonably limited to those in Cookie Biscuit City for a less stressful but amazing day.

That's when another idea sparked up in Mango's mind, "Hey Vampire? You're the Leader of the Science Club right?"

"Of course, Mango!", Vampire kindly replied, "If you need more help for the Science Fair, you can come to me or any of the members."

"I actually was about to ask!", the upbeat blonde cheered at the easy-going redhead, "WellyouseeweareveryopentobothofferinghelpandalsoreceivinghelpfromeveryonebothcookiesandcreaturesalikesoifyouarefinewithisitokayifyouandtheScienceClubhelpusoutwiththeScienceFairnextweek?"

"Let's just say everyone has that "Chibi Awe Face", that originated from those iconic Cookie Run Kingdom Korean Videos!", Herb thought to himself (and you) the moment Mango spoke that fast.

It took at least a few or so seconds until everyone was able to process what Mango just said. Ironically he's still easy to understand despite talking in one breath at times due to excitement.

"Mango? Is it okay if you talk a little slower please?", Cream Puff asked, blushing in embarrassment for her fellow Student Council member and silly-sweet love.

Mango blushed in embarrassment as well, chuckling with the same embarrassed look but was reassuring nonetheless, "Heh heh! Sorry about that Cream Puff. I guess it was hard for you guys to understand when I spoke that fast."

Vampire shook his head with reassurance, "Well actually, we understood what you said Mango. But we also don't want you to say it all in one breath, for your safety."

"Ah!", Mango showed a "Chibi Awe Face" of his own, kindly understanding the situation and in full agreement, "I'll try my best to keep that in mind. Thanks for telling me, heh heh!"

Everyone had a nice fun laugh, simply enjoying the times they have with each other and just in general having a great amount of fun times.

Needless to say, the red-haired boy eventually responded to the slightly younger of the two blonde teens in the room, "From what you mentioned Mango, that sounds like a great idea! I'll make sure that-!"

*beep boop*

Vampire briefly jumped out of his seat the moment he felt a sudden buzzing sound in his pocket. Calming down almost in an instant though, before proceeding to pull his phone out. Getting a recent notification of someone sending him a text message.

He sat there for a couple of seconds reading the text he was sent, before giving one deep but calmly chill sigh, "Sorry guys. But my little sister wants me to help her with something urgent at home."

*SWOOSH!!!*

It was ironically followed by Vampire putting down his payment for his drink at the counter, before immediately dashing out of the Juice Bar like his life depended on it.

This raised a bunch of eyebrows for the rest of the Blooming Friend Group. Both confused and worried of what urgent thing Alchemist texted Vampire moments prior to him bolting out of the Juice Bar. Of course, Sparkling and Herb are the most concerned. But Cream Puff was even more concerned and even scared for Vampire, "Is it just me… Or did Vampire look like he was hiding how afraid he's currently feeling about that text message Alchemist sent to him…?"

I FINISHED A SKETCHBOOK! Every page is drawn upon. It only took me... eight years. Wow. I only started working on it in earnest about six months ago, though, so... yeah. 

TO CELEBRATE: I want to take one of these sketches and develop it into a full rendered digital painting. I will make a fun little quiz and we'll narrow it down to one drawing. Quiz and logistics coming later, but will be posted here.

A lot of this is me figuring out designs for characters I haven't even written about yet, so look out for that. I'll elaborate one every sketch if you're interested, so keep reading if you want to know who's who. The sketches are generally in reverse chronological order from top to bottom.

1. Alice, a new character in Star and Marcie and the Forces of Evil, my latest project. She's fighting. She's a fighter. She's a love interest, but I hope I make her interesting on her own.

2. Cinder, wearing a shirt Kowari and Kultarr got for her. He will never take it off.

3. Various faces for Iako, a character in my next project that I'm 90% sure on the design for. She lives in a world of kitsunes who accidentally got addicted to gaining their nine tails through murder. Also magic powers are cursed. Iako wants to make magic better, so she goes on a trip to a mysterious island that holds the key to ending the curses... and their lives. Also it's based on the original premise of Lightlark. Hehe. Prologue can be found here. It's part 2.

17. RPG species. They're aliens who are eusocial, and females are split into four "genders"/roles in society. This gender is soldier, distinguished by their massive claws and size. Their job is everything that requires strength.

19. Above mentioned RPG species. This gender is gatherer, distinguished by their small body and delicate hands.

Fairy 61 is finished and will be posted before the end of the year.

This week (Dec.18 - Dec.25) is for LCAM 7 days of Luka's Christmas Week (I have at least one more art for it, but I'll try to finish some more hehe). I encourage everyone to participate!!

After fairy 61, idk when the next fairy update will be. I have A LOT planned but not much sketched yet. There's probably going to be some silly Special chapters before going back to the main story (sorry). *I'll keep you updated on this.

Also: I'll post a poll about how do you prefer the chapters names soon. I'd appreciate it if you let me know whether you prefer: Chapter 61, Chapter 62, etc. or Warmth 1, Warmth 2, etc.

Let me tell you that this is my best work so far and I'm really proud of this reference I made for Hellbat in the TFA style. But it took a while, from sketching, linearting to coloring, however it was helpful to learn a different artstyle and practice it out with one of my favorite transformer. I got into Transformers Animated when I was rewatching some videos of the show and people talking about it, so I decided to watch the whole show and I forgot how good the show was. That and it was all 2D animated, so yeah, it got me hooked. X3 I never thought this was the push to try another artstyle and I'm glad that I encouraged myself to do it. I'm so glad to get into another TF franchise and create a new AU story for TFA. I'm so excited to practice more on the artstyle and write a new story about this AU. ( Hehe, I plan to write a new story but it'll be awhile, though it's going fast with a few chapters being written) So without further adieu, here's Transformers Animated Hellbat! ----------------------- Not going to lie it was a little tricky with designing him. I had seen a few artists draw him in the style with their own interpretation. So I gave it a try with the inspiration and the refs of other TFA characters.   Sketches were drawn and practice was done for Hellbat, I tried to make him with his Victory look with the wings, chest plates and armor. He got his boxy arms and legs. His helm stayed the same but his fins are a little big. he has like the thrusters on his peds, like rockets. He got claws now and a tricky part and the change in the design was the tail fin. (The part of the plane at the end of it.) This was something I took from his Hades figure that I have. The tail fin is on his right leg than the left leg like his figure. Thought it would make him a little different from other seekers. He has this odd feature making him like the black sheep in the seekers. And yes he has a chin, kind of, it's more sharp and this design is him being younger in TFA. --------------------- Which I will talk about in his personality in my AU: *Hellbat is a young seeker who works under the great general Deathsaurus. *He lives in the fortress on an organic planet after the Cons lose the Great War and were exiled. *Lives with other cons that are his 'teammates' 'classmates', though, he's not good socializing with them. Avoids them sometimes... *He's a cheeky, sneaky and a good liar that is training to be a warrior. Though his teachers don't think he'll be a good warrior... *He's a yandere, kind of, but gets protective with someone he really likes. Due to not having friends. *He's also a good listener though bots think he isn't paying attention to things, when really, he is. *Is good a doodling pictures on a datapad. :) *His loyalty is to the Cons and to Deathsaurus. Though, that may be challenged later on in the future... *Wanted more than living in the fortress, wanted to go out to space and help out the Cons in the name of Deathsaurus. *He uses his tricks to get what he wants in info to getting bots to feel he isn't threatening, when he is with his words and empty promises. *He crashed landed on Earth years ago after what happened to the ship he sneaked on where Megatron was and was in stasis for 50 years. He woke up dizzy and confused on what happened till he remembered. He was left on Earth all alone at the time as he tried to contact Deathsaurus to get someone to come and help him off the planet. Little did he know, he would meet someone, someone he would have a new idea of to fool to siding with him and the Cons... He would become a spy on Earth for Megatron. ------------------- There's a lot I would want to talk about TFA Hellbat but it would be too long, so I'll may draw or write, showing his personality more. I hope to get the AU story going soon. Till then I hope you guys like the design and the little writing about him.  Also this is a big post for me on this site! So hope it’s not too much for you guys! XD I also have another design of him with a different chin, it makes him a little older but it's personally looks cool on him. Good Morning and happy Mon- wait it's Tuesday!

Argh, I got lost in time again! It's another week and back to the grind! Why weekends can't be longer...

Whew, youtubing is getting slightly easier! But now I struggle with the phone camera. I keep trying different settings and at the end the weird wiggle still persists. But for now I just want to get more comfy with the drawing process while recording cause that alone can be a little uncomfy hehe I guess it's the whole selfconcious that you are being recorded XD but with that said, I ran out of energy to record a voice over last weekend while fighting a terrible migraine on Sunday. I thought to leave it for the next weekend instead of pushing myself but if I get burst of energy earlier, I will post it through the week :D

Comic work! Thank you for following "The Snake, The Firebrand and The King of All" !! ... that title sure is a mouthful, huh xD; The next chapter will be a bit late, likely next monday? I did outline it, I had to start sketching the pages on Sunday but I felt so incredibly tired, I spent most of the day just sleeping. I think work fatigue piled on me once more. We have a lot of holidays in February and of course a lot of graphics for those. I've been coming home with nothing but brain fog, static noise and desire to sleep forever. u_u;; But at least chapter 11 is fully sketched and I quite liked the flow of it! It is a bit more complex but maybe I can line art it little by little through the week rather than all at once in the weekend. I'll see! I'm pass the mid point and into the fluff now! +o+ I didn't think I'd go this far for something I didn't incredibly prepared for!

I've been playing Fire Emblem Heroes on the side... while waiting for other games to come out this year - looking at Eiyuden 👀! I will likely drop off the earth till I finish it, when it comes out, hehe ! :D But yes! FE! I'm long time fan though I hadn't played anything after Awakening, so more of a fan of the old ones? I couldn't invest the time and energy to pick 3 Houses purely because there was no golden ending of everyone lives and is happy - I'm too old for that sad shite, okay? u_u;;; Fates... we don't talk about Fates and Engage felt like the vtuber nation attacked. I couldn't get pass the character designs so I never touched it. The mobile game is fun and I just mainly picked it so I could grab some faves and pamper them! Lucky for me my faves have like no alts and were easy to pick :D;;; ...so I guess my taste is that bad, huh 8D;; It's ok Gangrel, I still think you are the best Trash King!

But yes~ I'm swamped at work, my hands are giving in, I can't wait for the weather to get warmer and I can't wait for Eiyuden to come out! \o/ Until then, I try to survive xD;; but don't we all? quantum break appreciation month: a quick retrospective

so, first of all, wow, it was WAY more effort than i thought to just POST SOMETHING EVERY DAY. i put a lot of pressure on myself to only post The Good Stuff to this blog, and boy golly is my standard of "good stuff" higher than it ought to be! so this has been great practice for me in "finished is better than perfect."

holy shit. that's a lot. i am retroactively impressed with my past self for doing all this, lmao. nice.

third of all! i wanna note that i started several projects this month that i have yet to finish. of course i'm not confining my quantum break posting to one month of the year (impossible) but i will take my time finishing the... uh... three fics and two meta essays i have unfinished, as well as the fansite i am working on. i want these to be GOOD, so i'm not going to rush them. i'm glad this month gave me to juice to finally get these projects started, though!

and lastly... why did i even do this project/event in the first place?

well... good question. i imagine i'm not the only one who has been Going Through It for a while now, and i just... really needed a big project to focus on for a while. and quantum break is like, one of the only things that i never get tired of thinking about, so... are you seeing my logic here?

all that said, i do genuinely want to work on putting more love out into the world. and i love quantum break! i want other people to love it too! (or at least, i want other people to look at my passion for it and be like "i dont go here but you keep doing your funky little thing my man," you know what i mean?)

Okay! I’m going to do my best to answer all of these! So excited 😆

🤡 The funniest exchange I’ve written was in chapter 9 of The Phantom’s Atonement. There is an exchange between Erik and Christine where she is bragging about how she was getting better at doing laundry and she hadn’t burned any of his shirts while ironing since the end of the previous month. Erik’s response is the casually mention that it’s only the 3rd.

🍦 The sweetest fic I’ve written has to be The Gift of Mistletoe which I gifted to @lieblingslok01 for Christmas. It’s Erik’s first time celebrating Christmas with Christine and he bought her dozens of gifts and they do a Christmas Eve tradition where they open just one gift each. Christine, of course, gave Erik mistletoe so he can have as many kisses as he wants.

💌 I love getting comments and feedback on my fics. I also love constructive criticism, I know it’s weird but I don’t mind it. I’m always open to ways I can improve my writing. But for comments, they really really make my day every single time I get one. Checking AO3 constantly is a bad habit of mine, but I can’t help it! I love seeing what my readers loved about new chapters I post, how they can’t wait for an update, etc. It’s the best motivation for me. My love language is words of affirmation so I’ll take as much as I can get!

❌ I don’t think there are any tropes that I would ever not write. Of course, I won’t be able to write them all, but if it fits into the fic I’m writing, it’s going in!

🎨 Fanart, to me, is one of the greatest gifts a writer can receive. I received some beautiful sketches from @smbyt and they are forever going to be some of my most treasured gifts.

👀 I have a Maid AU that I’ve been outlining and the first chapter is posting on March 1st. Christine has just left the gypsies and wants to follow her dreams to sing on the stage of the Opera Populaire, but unfortunately they aren’t hiring at the moment, so she seeks employment elsewhere. You can probably guess where she starts working 😌 but besides that, it’s going to be a mega slow burn and my readers are going to be screaming at me. I am fully prepared for riots over it. The outline is only for 50ish chapters so far and I’m only about 2/3 of the way through it.

🧠 A character was not chosen, so I will choose one! Erik. My favorite headcanon that I have for Erik is that he has a foot fetish. I know a lot of people think this but that all I really have for him. He is a stocking thief 😌

🤲 Okay, fine if you insist, but it’s still in draft form! It’s from chapter 20 of The Phantom’s Atonement.

✅ Something that appears in my fics far too much is the little “two fingers under the chin lift”. I was reading a chapter of my work a while back and it was in that chapter THREE times!!! I can’t help it 🥹

💔 A fic of mine that broke my heart is Speak. I wrote it for Halloween and good gosh, it took me for a wild ride. The content is very dark, so I won’t say anything here, but I cried while writing it.

Intro

I showed this JuAli idea to my friends before, I’m glad they liked it hehe. I originally wrote this back in November!

I revamped a JuAli idea I had. Judar and Alibaba kiss with banter

I used some lines from Vol. 27 - Ch. 266, and the Vol. 28 - Ch. 278 omake with Judar and haniwa (clay doll) Alibaba. The chapters where he was a sausage shaped haniwa (OoO)

I usually write my ideas down in script dialogue format as potential comic ideas for the future. Also cuz I figured that bolding the names would make things easier to read

I'm busy so Idk when I'll sketch this all out and redraw it properly, but this one tweet generated some ideas in my head that I showed to Cinna and Raisu. Back in November, I roughly wrote the gist of it down, but I felt like adding to it cuz it’s one of my personal faves. It's just kissing but it's kinda suggestive/implicit so y'know.

Some rambles

*Note: Sometimes I just write the dialogue only because I have a good visual imagination, so the dialogue itself is already a good outline to use for potential comic ideas in the future, but I thought it’d be fun to add to it. I write dialogue scripts a lot (whenever the inspiration hits and I’m not doing art).

I’m a visual person, so I mainly do art (and comic idea dialogue scripts as outlines for potential art ideas). A lot of times, when I get ideas, I visualize scenes in my head, so my ideas are written in script dialogue format. 

I like writing ideas down so that I don't forget and so that I can still imagine and draw them in the future. I have a good visual imagination, so even if I just write the dialogue, I can imagine what the scene conveys pretty easily. 

I was wondering if I should just have short descriptions on a line on its own, just like a play/movie script would, but it’s actually easier for me to read when the name is bolded beside it, so then I know which actions/descriptions are assigned to which character, y’know.

I tend to have certain quirks when writing dialogue scripts

I put descriptions in brackets () beside the name. I decided to make them italics though to differentiate them more, cuz I also use brackets () for character thoughts. 

It’s not in this one, but I’ll put a (...) on a line on its own to mark line breaks for scene transitions (or to mark that the scene is still a WIP and I need to add to it)

I’ll put any notes with (*) asterisks. 

I bold names so it’s easier to read

Whenever I get hit with sudden blorbo thoughts or inspiration to write ideas, I write them in Notepad or Google Docs, but I also do a lot of reactions and discussions with mutuals/friends. Someone posts something they want to talk about in the chat (ie. animanga/game reactions, AU and art ideas, etc.) and others join in and talk about it if they have time.

A lot of times, I tend to think back on my discussions with friends a lot, because I think they're inspiring and their thoughts help give a lot of insight.

Me: I actually originally wrote Judar's last line as "Show me the kind of spark that charmed Hakuryuu so much". Because Judar makes an observation in Ch. 266 that Hakuryuu is charmed by Alibaba in the fan-TL :) 

But I don't tend to reference other ships in my ship stuff since I usually focus on ships solo. Like in my AU stuff, I tend to focus on just the ship/characters itself.

Like I would rather deal with my multiships in their own separate AUs, since it’s easier for me to work with. Most of the time I just prefer to have my AUs focus on just the ship itself (and occasionally other charas.) 

I do love AliHaku though. But I liked that line and it was good, so I still tried to include it though. NGNGNNG. Without mentioning any names, cuz let’s keep this JuAli focused

Me: I posted this on main, but I might as well post it again here ^^ For JuAli, I feel like at first, Judar hates Alibaba with so much love. And Judar would just constantly be like "I really don't get this guy at all" and "I don't understand what he's thinking at all!"

I feel like in the early stages of them catching feelies, they’d both be really awkward around each other and constantly headbutt each other…  

Judar is verbally harsh (violently tsun) and demands around verbally a LOT, like a needy cat that wants attention and affection. The tsundere catboy bad boy... And I feel like at first, they’d both be really awkward around each other and fluster each other. I think they'd always be pretty competitive with each other (in a playful, fun way) but they'd warm up to each other over time.

I'm busy so Idk when I'll sketch this all out but it was based off this idea I had in my head.

Like with JuAli, I think their games are mostly light-hearted and fun, and enticing and passionate.

Like it emphasizes playful competitiveness, a heavy focus on drawing things out, wanting to enjoy themselves for as long as they can and do their best to make every intimate occasion they have together worth the wait. Everything about their intimacy is energetic and passionate, (just like them!)

Though it's also fun to imagine a bit more rough aggressiveness, rough kisses and biting. 

When I imagine the early stages of their relationship/pining I think they'll butt heads more often and it'll be more aggressive, then it'll progress to something very loving and more on the same wave length.

Daily/Hourly accounts

Before the Twitter changes, folks would have daily/hourly accounts dedicated their fave medias, books, poems, etc. They’d put their fave quotes in (or animanga/game screencaps of their faves), have them be posted on intervals. People did it just cuz they wanna assign quotes to their fave charas/ships or have accounts dedicated to them

But then Muskrat’s stankass changes happened... I was thinking it would’ve been cute to have a JuAli daily account post screencaps of either of them from the manga tbh

It may seem stupid but I once read that even if there were already one-hundred Coffee Shop AUs for one ship that shouldn’t stop you from writing your own and I think it’s so important, we write for our own enjoyment too. And I really do, I LOVE and ENJOY writing a lot. Also, just write with the flow at first and then come back to fix and clean the work. It’s hard trying to write it perfectly from the beginning. It’s like in art, you always do your sketch before the final lines. 17. What do you do when writing becomes difficult? (maybe a lack of inspiration or writers block)

I usually move to another story until I get inspired again (I am looking at you Carnevale a Venezia and I am so sorry). But there’re times that I really can’t write anything. Then I draw (but I usually have writer and artist block at the same time, or at least when I have writer block I also have artist block, because sometimes I have artist block but not writers) or play videogames. Playing Harvest Moon/Rune Factory games help me relax and after a break of one or two weeks I can go back again. Talking about my stories with people also helps me. Like, my worst block was overcome by a comment I got, and Idk I just felt so touched that I wanted to write again. 26. Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?

Well, gonna be honest, 95% of what I write is about the same two characters so… I think I have to say characters. But talking about my Original Stories, it’s plot first. But a really really vague idea of a plot like “I want to write about horses” and then I go to the characters I want for the story before thinking more about the plot. (And yes, I have a story about horses, well a Riding School. And yes it was inspired by a KdFd story I did about a Riding School that it was also inspired by a Barbie Movie about a Riding School). 32. Name three of your favorite fanfic writers. Well. In fact I can only say 3 writers I trust enough to be looking forward to their stories (I am more into writing than reading), I usually only read about Inazuma Eleven but I am very PICKY (it’s more that I can’t stand at all some tropes that sadly are kinda popular and that I only want to read about the ships I like because I don’t have so much time to read about ships I don’t care at all even if it just happen to be sideships, if I don’t like the sideship I am not gonna read the story even if the main ship is KdFd who are my forever OTP XDU). Even if I read about other fandoms (but once again only ships and tropes I like) until now I didn’t get a “oh I like how this person write, gonna see other stories from them” (well it happened once with a Haikyuu writer but I lost the profile because I was stupid and though I bookmarked their stories and I didn’t and with two other writers I just discovered and that I love their writing like it may be the most beautiful writing style I ever read after Tolkien but I am just still knowing them).

They’re filling my KdFd heart since I was almost alone writing about them in AO3 until they joined! And I also like other of the ships they write about (Senguuji Yamato/Gomaki Tetsurou). 49. Do you ever get rude reviews and how do you deal with them? I didn’t get any rude reviews until now and I hope I won’t in the future. I got instead spam comments and this one comment calling Kirino stupid in my story “The Party” and I never knew if the person was being mean or since it was a comedy they were going with the flow and it was a “stupid, affectionately”. 56. What’s something about your writing that you pride yourself on? I have the worst sense of humor ever and I am really proud of adding jokes to my stories, I love making people smile like I really like making people happy. The same with adding random info about random things. I think that making the characters talk about real things (like mathematics, anime, geography, whatever) makes people connect more with them, at least it happens to me. Like “this character is talking about watching the last chapter of One Piece, yes I also have to watch it”.

But I think what I like the most about my writing is that it’s easy to read. When I started posting my stories more than 10 years ago I was into long descriptions, difficult words, lot’s of metaphors and so on. After not writing for almost seven years (maybe more) it changed, now I just want people to have an easy read and enjoy it. It’s like when you get back home after a hard working day and you have a simple yet comfy dinner waiting for you, it may be not the best gourmet food but there isn’t anything better than this warm feeling. I want this for my readers. Yeah, I try to write pretty, and adding here and there something a bit more complex, and maybe the themes are hard to read, but about style the simpler the better. 59. Does anyone in your personal life know you write fic? If not, would you tell anyone? Yes, they do. Some people in my “offline life/real life” know that I write but neither of them have read anything. My partner does, and he does his best to encourage me. He hasn't read anything yet but he asks me to let him read something one day, he is more into original stuff anyways. My brother does too, he calls me fujoshi and mocks me (in a very sibling way, so I am not offended). My mother does, but I think she forgot or didn’t even think about it deeper. I told her once I was writing about Inazuma Eleven to practice my writing to write my own original stuff, I think she asked me if she could read something I told her yes then we both forgot and now I am not even sure if that happened or not. Two friends do and I even send them my AO3 profile but they haven’t read anything and I am very </3. I have to say that my friends even if they’re online friends are part of my personal life too so they know too and fortunately they support me better XD.

71. When it comes to more complicated narratives, how do you keep track of outlines, characters, development, timeline, ect.?

Paper and pen. I had notebooks and papers full of data and schemes for my original stories because for this it helps me more if it’s in paper than digital. Although for a few stories I have it digitally. The thing is that once I have finished I threw it to the trash hahaha. Sometimes even before I have finished the story because “I’ll remember” (I don’t). Or I lose the paper I had it written on. And that’s the reason I tried digitally for some of my fanfictions. 72. What order do you write in? front of book to back? chronological? favorite scenes first? something else?

From the beginning to the end. Most of the time it’s chronological although from time to time I add a flashback. I write the things in the same order you are going to read it. I don’t know if you know about the gardener or architect writers. Gardener is the one that lets the story flow with a vague idea of what they want to happen but letting it be and the architect is the one that controls everything that it’s going to happen and how it’s going to happen. Well, I am not even a gardener, I am a person enjoying how nature grows by its own X,DDDD 

So I can’t go in any other order. If I write first something for the end of the chapter/story and go back to the start, when I get to the written scene things are so different now that I have to fully write it again (I had to fully rewrote When Cherry Trees Bloom after chapter 3 or 4 and it is just another story of what I had at first, I like it better now anyways. I have to do the last chapters sjdjhdfg). I am the best example of “I didn’t expect it” “Yeah, me neither”.

kuroyaku don’t “just fight a lot”, while yes, their relationship started as an intense rivalry with ridiculous bickering over everything, they came to acknowledge one another after they realized they had the same goal: going to the nationals. and you can’t pretend to go to the nationals by yourself, you go to nationals with your teammates

thus, kuroyaku went from rivals to teammates and to teammates to friends over the years c: in their 3rd years, they still bicker but they also have a deep mutual despect for one another. they’re classmates, teammates AND friends with this rivalry/desire to beat the other/to bring out the best in the other

1. What was the first fandom you got involved in?

Heroes of Olympus !! Yup I started writing fanfic for the HoO fandom.

2. What is your latest fandom?

The Hunger Games. Right now I'm writing with a Hunger Games OC <kinda oc kinda just merged fandoms>

3. What is the best fandom you’ve ever been involved in?

This is hard, I think HoO, just because people interacted a lot with my writing. I love the AOS fandom but not a lot of people comment.

Kane Chronicles. I only write stuff for it for like 2 months, and now I have no inspiration for it. Yet a lot of people keep asking me to write more.

From the Rubble. It's a AU version of season 5 episode 22 and I love it because it challenges me to have to look up things and is emotional and angsty.

I have NO clue. I just think if random ideas till something sticks.

I have one for From the Rubble, Bella. Just so I can make sure it's good and emotional and flows.

A lot of things. My fandoms. Prompts. Au ideas I think of etc.

That I could write an episode of SHIELD. I cried.

I do. I have different playlists for characters. *Some are my OCs, some are canon* and I'll listen to it when writing about that character.

I try and challenge myself to write all. But more my One Shots become multi chapter and my multi chapters become huge epics 😂

23,764 words and counting for my fic From the Rubble, and I'm only on chapter 3. I probably have longer ones on wattpad but idk. Also

35. Do you write drabbles? If so, what do you normally write them about?

I usually find dialogue prompts and write a drabble based on it when I'm in a writers block rut. Usually Fitzsimmons though.

I love writing angst. Whoops.

Usually third person, but when I am doing more emotional based things first. Basically if there's action, third. If its little action and mostly emotion firt.

Both. I usually write canon character but try and expand on OCs on occasion.

How fast I can write. I can usually write 5+ pages or more in an hour if I'm really focused.

Ao3. I hardly use tumblr and fanfiction.net confuses me and I forgot it existed.

I try to! I know how important they are to writers so if I like the fic I try and say something about it. Even if it's small.

I love when people share my work with others. Comments mean so much to me and the more comments I get the more dedicated I am to a fic.

50. How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction?

Um I read HOO and had to wait for the next book. No one I knew liked it so I started looking for things relating to it, like edits. Stumbled on fanfiction and thought "I like writing. I'll try this."

I hate when I work really hard on a fic and no one really tells what the think. And if I get a comment its "update." Because I want to know how my reading affected you. I also love being able to change different things I don't like in my favorite show 😂

2018 writing year in review

It’s been a year! I’ve had family visiting for the last week (they are still here), so I haven’t had much time to sit down and actually a breath. So here I am in the morning of January 1st, 2019.

Last year, I did a year in review post, so I’ll do the same this time, and keep the same format. 2018 was marred by a lot of work stress, crisis of confidence, and other bad things. I had a lot of migraines, which wiped out a lot of my free time, and my writing suffered as a result. I had rather ambitious goals earlier in the year in both writing and lifestyle, but the migraines were a big wall that I hit. It’s been vaguely better now.

I finished the first draft of my novel! It’s a BDSM high school romance written for @carnationbooks! It’s going through editing at the moment, after some hiccups. It should be out early this year (I hope!!).

I wrote a short story about an AI slowly gaining sentience. I submitted it to a few places, but it got rejected, so I’m going to tweak it.

I *still* need to do another draft of a short story I wrote in 2017 (gasp). Not enough time!!

I started working on a historical fantasy collab with my husband. We’re on chapter 2. He does most of the world-building and I do most of the writing. If anyone wants to beta (just for very general feedback at this stage), then let me know!

I’ve written more fanfic this year than last year, which surprises me. I felt like garbage so much of the year, but I somehow pulled through and wrote stuff?? On top of that, I wrote around 35k of original stuff.

WIP Meme? Is that what it’s called?

So @tourmei asked me to do this like half a year ago (I BLAME PROCRASTINATION), but I’ve finally gotten around to actually writing it out.

Let’s begin by explaining that I don’t even know what the rules to this thing are. It’s something about listing out everything that you’re working on and then tagging people to share what they’re working on. 

1. Fancy hipster art using only three colors.

So I finished one, which would be the Dazai Osamu from Bungou Stray Dogs that I made back in December or November. (Pictured above) The three colors were blue, red, and green.

I totally haven’t forgotten about this. Hehe... But seriously, someone give me a character from somewhere and give me some colors. Please. I started on a Thranduil from the Hobbit, but forgot halfway through and accidentally deleted it. :P

2. Voltron Art

I just posted a sarcastic conversation about a ‘sparkle Lotor’ and said sparkle Lotor art today. I will be making more sarcastic art about Voltron characters. 

For your benefit as well as mine, let’s ignore the really low quality of the picture. I messed up some buttons while setting up my canvas. 

3. A novel

I don’t think that anyone besides maybe @tourmei has noticed (because you can always count on your besties to notice things for you), but I’ve had this little Ponyta at the the top of my blog since November for a while and never actually explained why I have a random pokemon up there. 

Basically, I started writing a story for NaNoWriMo and they had these little pokemon word tracker things, so I got one and put it on Tumblr because come on, where else would I out it? Hehe, turns out, I didn’t make it to 50K words by the end of November and Qyfinne will never evolve into a Rapidash. :’( 

By the way, Qyfinne was a horse from draft one that isn’t going to exist in draft two. Too many names. 

4. Another novel!

Yeah, another novel! This one I started before the novel from #3. It’s funnier and less serious, as well as easier to write. I put it on hiatus until draft one of #3 was done, but now I’m adding chapters to this again! Yay!

Here’s a really bad concept sketch that I made of a character like two years ago! You may opening cringe at the art with me.

5. Another another novel!

Yeah yeah, I know I should finish projects before I start other ones, but this novel I started before #4. It’s been on hiatus for a long time. I have better concept art for this, but it’s still cringy. Here’s a decent excerpt that prob won’t exist once this draft is over: 

This is basically all the characterization I have of one of the main characters. He likes coffee and hurts his skull to relieve stress.

6. Game of Thrones

Let me clarify, I’m making my way through the novels, not the show. I’ll get to the show when I have time. 

7. Cosmere

If anyone occasionally looks at the stuff on my blog, I’m sure there’s a lot of Mistborn and Stormlight Archive stuff (also, you know, my name). I’m slowly making my way through all of Brandon Sanderson’s cosmere works because it’s amazing.

8. A Panda Animation

I had the idea for this when I was like 11 or 12, so this is many years old. I don’t think I’ve touched it in a few years. But it’s constantly in the back of my mind, so I’ll get back to my animation one day. We need more cute love stories that simultaneously deal with endangered animals and habitat loss. 

I can’t think of anything else. Meh. I should really put ‘update tumblr more often’ on here somewhere.
