Alright ... I think I've collected enough information to set forth a brief summary of this AU ...

I Uptied Faust's MultiCrack ID so I could get a bit more info (and also keep her stuff maxed out), and found out the Office was traveling to District 20 not just for contract work, but also to meet with Workshops and form connections with them. This worked very well with my initial idea for Sherry in this Mirror World: an independent Fixer who manages a Workshop rather than an Office! Probably going to keep it in line with her usual lore and say it's Baker Street Workshop instead of Baker Street Office ... it just fits her too well to change.

Anyway, onto the details! Though Sherry markets herself as an "independent" Workshop, she actually has a lot of connections to other Workshops, largely thanks to Mycroft being employed by T. Corp--people like getting in the good graces of people who have ties to the Wings, after all. Thus, she has extensive knowledge of a lot of different prosthetics, and her affiliations allow her to repair and upgrade those prosthetics without repercussions. In fact, a lot of Workshops rely on her to take appointments involving repairs, especially when they're overbooked.

Sherry does, of course, create her own prosthetics, but she hasn't been able to find anyone willing to try them in the field, yet ... and she, not having any prosthetics herself, can't try them, either. This is annoying to her, but she doesn't let it bother her too much--as long as she has clients, even if they're sent from other Workshops, she can get by.

Also!! Watson exists in this AU! Since he's a doctor who specializes in helping people adjust to living with prosthetics. Fun little addition ~

Now, the Heathcliff things ... during the inventor's convention the MultiCrack Office Fixers attend, Faust takes an interest in Sherry's prosthetics, and they arrange for her Workshop to be one they regularly engage with. Thus, Heathcliff ends up being one of her clients--but they also meet once or twice in the field before that. I'm withholding those details in hopes of writing a fic in the future. /lh
