i honestly love fjord so much. i do, i do very much love him. he is a gentle man, simple in his desire for family and place in the world. he wants to do things for his found family, he wants to protect them, to have power to do so, deeming himself useless the moment he lost his magic abilities — not realizing how him just being himself did so much for protection of those around him.

i think of it as one of the most adorable traits that fjord has — his unconscious need to see people. making sure everyone is seen and heard and their opinions are taken into account. he has always made sure that caleb spoke up even when caleb was deep inside his shell, not really tugging and pulling to force him out but just asking like it's normal, not making a huge deal. the thing is it might haven't been a huge deal for fjord, it might have been just who fjord is. it has been a huge deal for caleb, beaten and on the run and stripped of any dignity and voice. caleb didn't want to speak. fjord couldn't imagine him not to.

fjord always looked out for beau. like a found older brother, he taught her from a perspective she respected. he knew he could make a change in her — she felt seen and understood. fjord might have scolded but he didn't judge. he was on her side always while calling out her bullshit. beau respected that. she wanted to be like him, or at least to learn more from him. she was thrilled at the idea of becoming his first mate because it would give her an opportunity to be closer to him.

and i just want to point out how both caleb and beau both learn to see fjord, taking after him. how caleb had a reality check realizing the implications of fjord giving himself to avantika and that moment changing the whole course of their behavior and relationship both with each other and others. how beau learned to care for others and made sure to give back to fjord in form of honest worry and care for his well-being.

can we just appreciate fjord — who appreciated people for who they are because he was never appreciated for who he is before. because despite all of cruelty that was thrown towards him he saved his gentle heart. he is not weak for being kind, he is not weak for being hopeful. his biggest power has never been his magic but his ability to give people a chance, to wait.

i just love fjord so much and i want you all to love him too.

Saw this post and couldn't resist because,

1.) @tesscourtes' human!Bill is a lil cutie-patootie menace that I very badly wanted to draw, and,

2.) I have a - M I G H T Y - N E E D - for any version of human!Bill to find any way he possibly can to annoy Ford a whole lot :D

Also, 3.) I like to headcanon that Bill's knowledge in The Sciences is mostly limited to 'Ways I Can Make A Really Cool Doomsday Portal', and everything else he knows is just a slapdash mix of the stuff he remembers from whatever schooling he went through on Euclydia, a whole awful lot of lucky guesses (which he WILL gaslight you about if you tell him he's wrong), and - naturally - conning all the rest of the answers he needs out of any more educated saps who are unfortunate enough to be around him at the time (answers which he will then proceed to take credit for), so as far as I'm concerned, this "outfit" is perfect for him.

Ignore the shitty backgrounds, I am sick to death of doing backgrounds, I just want to draw goofy shenanigans, okay???

If i was smarter than i currently am, i would write a long and thoughtful passage about parallels between Caduceus and Fjord, the weight of responsibility on their shoulders, placed there from a very young age, about family (Via blood and otherwise) and its importance, involuntary loneliness and enduring hardship all by yourself, concluding with the fact that they discovered kinship and family within each other which is really no surprise after all. But sadly, i'm not, so for now i'm gonna lament amazing dynamic that they had, which seems to be lost and forgotten by most in favour of other more romance leaning relationships. A shame, really. Will always be one of my favourites, this one.

I didn't think I'd draw more of this but it also won't leave my mind....

AJ's the first to go!!

Let's look at the stages:

Stage 0: Healthy, normal, AJ is strong and we love her

Stage 1: Harvest Season started and AJ discovered a strange bruise on her chest.

It couldn't mean much though, she must have brushed past a tree or some wood and irritated the skin. It happens. Apples must be harvested!

Stage 2: The bruise is spreading and somehow she's getting clumsier. She keeps falling over the littliest things and one time Bic Mac had to get her out of a tree.

A tree! How she managed to get stuck there by her hind hoof is still a mystery to her (but are the apples sweeter these days? She ought to ask Granny Smith)

Stage 3: Whatever the bruise is, it's not leaving and taking on big proportions. Her clumsiness doesn't go away and she keeps ponies where her friends are.

She'd rather eat the apples than harvest them and...why does Twilight keep visiting her? Twilight is asking her the strangest questions and..isn't she supposed to do something?

Surely, if it was important, she would remember.

Stage 4: AJ is gone and keeps insisting on being called Applejack.

She doesn't recognize the big pony in the mirror and her hair is too long. Sparkler keeps having a fit that she cut it but she feels better now.

Her body still feels to big but it's alright, she can knock all the apples out of the trees as she wants now! It's also quite a delight to find these sweet little ponies around her who call her sister and let her lie between the apple trees. Truly, despite the weird behavior around her, she's quite happy where she is!

They keep her at the apple farm to have an eye on her. She's the first one Twilight tries out her possible cures but so far nothing worked.

If only Celestias notes wouldn't be so confusing these days.

Also, guess who has AuDHD (A combination of ADHD and Autism spectrum disorder) and also is no longer on Adderall? Meeeeee. I also had to quit cold turkey!

and. you don't get withdrawal symptoms unless you're abusing the medication. Either Lily was misdiagnosed with ADHD or she takes too much. If you have ADHD and you're taking the appropriate amount, the only thing that happens is you start experiencing ADHD symptoms again... which, you don't really notice as a physical symptom, as the symptoms are entirely behavioural.
