#I have a lot more to say about tony x guilt

I know this is going to prompt a lot of posts ("funny" and serious ones) about Tony knowing guilt very well and instead of being pre-annoyed, I'll just post about #my thoughts instead.
To preface, I'm not a huge fan of Jed Mackay's voice for Tony in this series. However, I did like this moment. Tony being Carol's AA sponsor is one of my favourite things ever and it's always nice to see it on panel. It's Tony talking about guilt - or rather, him specifically talking about using guilt as an addiction, as a crutch - that I'm mostly thinking about right now. It's something he talked about all the way back in Captain America vol 1 when he advised Steve to avoid "grasping for crutches" when Steve talked about how guilty he felt at the time. His choice of words has always interested me because I had an idea about how Tony could've meant it because I knew Tony was an alcoholic (this was a couple of months before he relapsed in the 80s, iirc) but also, this was before he was attending AA meetings or had any kind of sustainable treatment plan in place (he had just stopped drinking because it was bad for him, which did work for over a year). So, the idea that this is something that he essentially referred to as a dependency is interesting. Tony's relationship with guilt is interesting in general to me. Not in the way the fandom usually talks about it at all, which I personally find pretty insulting and often, a little ableist. But no, I am fascinated by Tony's relationship with guilt because a lot of times, he questioned what is wrong with himself that he feels so guilty. This is not an emotion that he (usually) takes comfort in (much like self pity, which he also shuns quite a bit) and he, if I know him well, wouldn't think it was productive to actually doing something about a situation. His response to guilt has pretty much always been doing something about it, taking responsibility. Thinking it was already his responsibility even when other people disagreed (I don't think he was particularly wrong, by the way, because with great power etc.). There's actually more of an argument to be made that he runs from guilt more than he wallows in it. And when he can't, when he's helpless to actually do something about a situation, that's when he's in trouble....till he comes up with a solution/accepts what's going on.
#tony stark#carol danvers#marvel comics#wednesday spoilers#this is not serious analysis or anything like that I'm half delirious from a fever rn and just thinking thoughts#I have a lot more to say about tony x guilt#but I probably won't now maybe later#text#this page is by jed mackay and valerio schiti btw

because of you (request)
wanda maximoff x fem!reader
summary: in which wanda was initially the prickly new member of the avengers, however you quickly became her greatest friend.
word count: 1416
tags: unedited, fluff, wanda's got a huge crush on you, a little bit of i hate everyone but you vibes but i've never really written it before so i hope i did you justice!! emo wanda being the little baby we all love (this is also like my sorta first time writing emo wanda too so my writing horizons expanded quite a bit with this request, she's genuinely just very cute though
“You have to be cheating,” Sam says angrily, slumping on the couch and crossing his arms over his chest, slamming his controller down beside him.
“Nope,” you respond with a grin, pleased with yourself for beating Sam at yet another video game. “You just suck.”
Sam narrows his eyes, before rising up once again in determination. “One more round, only this time you’re handicapped by giving me a five second head start.”
“Sure,” you agree, already prepared to win for the 15th time in a row.
However, before you and Sam can start your video game, a tired Sokovian witch makes her way into the living room.
“Oh, hey, Wanda,” Sam says to your girlfriend who stands beside you, immediately wrapping her arms around your shoulder.
Wanda ignores him, and instead asks you, “Where were you?” against your neck.
“I promised Sam I would play Mario Kart with him last night,” you explain. “I bet him 50 bucks I could win 10 rounds in a row, and guess what, I’m at 70 now!”
“Not for long!” Sam interrupts.
“Want to stay and watch?” you ask Wanda, who hesitates for a split second, not really wanting the company of anyone else except for you, but ends up agreeing with a small nod.
You shift over on the couch to make room for her, and she immediately sits down and rests her head on your shoulder while you begin another round against Sam.
You end up winning about 150 bucks that day.
***
Wanda had been part of the team for about 7 months now, and you had quickly become her closest friend in the first 2.
Wanda, at her most vulnerable and lowest moments was still riding on a lot of the guilt from Ultron, add the fact that she had just lost her only family member and best friend, and the fact that she was already a bit prickly to begin with, it was safe to say that the majority of the team was too scared of what could happen to them if they even attempted to get close to her.
Wanda was okay with that at the time, she wanted the freedom to grieve without the added pressure of someone counting on her.
However, you were an exception.
You broke down the walls that had been built so far up after lost plagued Wanda’s life.
Every time she would protest, you stayed, no matter what.
She was a mess, and over time you became her safe haven.
You helped her grieve, helped her overcome her anger, her sadness, and you became her hope.
Now, Wanda could never get enough of you.
You were her best friend, and she was yours.
Wanda was eternally grateful for your existence.
“Y/N?” Wanda asked, one month into your friendship you laying on her shoulder watching the sitcom on the TV from her bed.
“Hm?” you responded.
“Thank you,” Wanda said, hoping you could understand every single hidden word she wanted to convey as best she could.
You smiled up at her, “Anytime.”
***
“Wow, Wanda, what’s got you so grumpy?” Tony asks, noticing Wanda’s very apparent frown.
“She hasn’t seen Y/N in two days,” Nat says with a grin. “Y/N’s mission from Monday got extended last night, so now she won’t be back until tomorrow morning.”
Wanda glared at Natasha before going back to pouring her cereal.
“Come on, Nat,” Steve says as he walks in. “I think it’s sweet.”
“Hey, I never said it wasn’t,” Natasha says, holding up her hands in surrender.
Wanda’s frown deepened, despite the truthfulness to everything they were saying.
“Come on, Wanda,” Steve said as he came around the counter to pat the witch on her back. “Just one more day.”
Wanda nodded quietly, making her way back to her bedroom to eat her cereal and wait for your return.
***
You came back at 6AM, and your face softened as you saw Wanda laying on top of your covers, very clearly having been waiting for your return by the sitcom still running on your TV in the background.
Carefully you kneeled beside her on the bed, gently shaking her awake.
Wanda stirred awake slowly, looking around disoriented before she saw your face, her eyes lighting up and immediately wrapping her arms around you. “You’re back,” she whispered.
“I was only gone 3 days,” you reply in amusement.
“Don’t care,” Wanda says, hugging you tighter.
You hug her back in return, letting go after a few minutes to go take a shower and change into your pajamas, and Wanda doing the same.
Then, at 6:30AM, the two of you go to bed together, and spend the rest of the day wrapped in each other’s arms.
***
“So, what is it you want my help with?” Natasha asks, secretly gleeful at seeing the shy side of Wanda for once behind all her sharp edges.
“I want you to help me set up Y/N’s birthday party,” Wanda says shyly, looking down at her shoes.
“Oh, Wanda, we’re gonna have a blast,” Natasha replies, walking over to Wanda and wrapping an arm around her shoulder, leading her to go grab the supplies.
***
Wanda would never admit it, except maybe to you, but she wanted everything to be absolutely perfect for your birthday.
You had been the only one to help her when she needed it, and every time she felt like she was too sharp, too mean, too prickly, you accepted her with unwavering kindness.
You were the only thing that made Wanda feel seen after Pietro’s death.
And so, she needed you to see how grateful she was with everything inside of her.
“Okay, so we’re gonna get balloons, streamers, the food and drinks, cutlery, decorations, then the cake tomorrow?” Wanda asks Natasha as the two grab everything for your birthday tomorrow.
“Yep, Tony’s money is finally going towards something useful,” Natasha says, making Wanda look over towards her curiously. “Your love for your girlfriend,” she explains.
Wanda slaps Nat’s arm in return, though she does end up blushing for the next 5 minutes.
***
“Oh, god, what if she doesn’t like it?” Wanda asks, nervous since it’s only one hour before you’re supposed to arrive back at the compound.
Natasha pats Wanda on the back reassuringly. “It’s gonna be fine, Wanda. Truthfully it came from you, and she loves anything you do for her no matter what.”
Wanda nods, nervously playing with her rings in anticipation.
“Can she hurry back already,” Sam groans. “I wanna eat the cake already. Wanda glares angrily at him.
“Careful, Sam,” Nat warns playfully. “If you mess that cake up a single bit Wanda might magic you into a pickled herring.”
Sam looks over to Wanda who’s eyes glow red in a threatening manner.
Sam holds up his arms in surrender.
Wanda ends up switching between being nervous and stopping Sam, Bucky, and Tony from accidentally doing something that might harm your party, and suddenly an hour has gone by.
“Y/N’s on her way back right now!” Tony calls out after asking FRIDAY. “She’s gonna be up here in two minutes!”
“Okay, everyone hide!” Natasha yells out, grabbing Wanda to hide with her behind the counter as everyone sprawls out across the upstairs floor.
“Please say she likes it, please say she likes it,” Wanda mutters under her breath in her hiding place so no one can hear her.
Though Nat’s absurdly good hearing foils her plan. “She’ll love it, Wanda.”
Wanda hums in response, taking a reassuring breath before waiting to surprise you.
“Thirty seconds everyone!” Tony calls out after FRIDAY notifies him on his watch.
3…2…1…
“Happy birthday, Y/N!” Everyone calls out after you finally make your way up the stairs.
You barely register the shock before you’re smiling widely.
“This was all Wanda,” Nat tells you, causing you to look towards the witch who looks incredibly sheepish.
“Everyone helped,” Wanda mumbles.
“Really?” you shake your head before making your way over to your girlfriend and kissing her fiercely. “Thank you,” you whisper.
“I needed a way to show you how grateful I am that you saved me,” Wanda tells you.
“Well, you saved me too,” you reply. “You made everything so much better.”
Wanda’s eyes light up at your confession, and she hugs you tightly, causing you to laugh and wrap your arms around her.
“Now, how about we enjoy my birthday together, hm? This will be the best one yet because of you.”

Marriage Proposal
Pairing: Dark Peter Parker x (female) Reader
▶ This is a yandere/dark work and it may contain triggering content so please READ THE WARNINGS before. Do not read if minor.
More at Masterlist
SUMMARY: You should’ve broken up with Peter long ago. Now you deal with the consequences.
WARNINGS: --
AN: Please, reblog and give me feedback.
–
You reluctantly look up from your plate at the feeling of a hand covering your own, the warmth irradiating from the firm palm making you itchy to remove the hand, but you let it be.
"Happy anniversary, babe.” Peter smiles at you, so genuine and loving, and you force your lips to stretch into a pleasant smile.
“I can’t believe we’ve been together for a year now. I feel like we’ve only met yesterday but here we are.” he says with a chuckle.
“It’s as if time flies away when you’re in love, right?”
You weakly nod, opting to bring the wine glass to your lips to give you an excuse to avert eyes. But that doesn’t stop the turmoil of emotions that devastates you inside, the guilt eating you away.
You’re a horrible girlfriend. And a coward one too. One that keeps prolonging and dragging time, too timid to break-up.
Not tonight, you decide, delaying the confrontation furthermore. Peter is so happy and you’d hate to break his heart on such an occasion.
At least, that’s what you tell yourself.
“This place is really gorgeous, I love it.” you say, allowing your eyes to wander around the restaurant.
The place is indeed pretty. Elegant but at the same time, private and personal. It suits Peter.
Tension accompanies throughout the entire dinner as you play the girlfriend role dutifully, pretending to laugh at Peter’s jokes and smiling at him.
A part of you feels so bad for it, there used to be a time where you actually loved Peter.
You still like and respect him, he’s a great guy, unlike many men. But you’re no longer the same person that you were when you meet him.
And Peter…
He’s the one that took a 180º change. Deep inside, he probably means well, intending to protect you but that isn’t enough to make you stay.
Not if you want to have a toxic-free life. A life without having to answer a full interrogation when you plan to hang out with friends.
A life without having to call and text your boyfriend about what you’re doing, otherwise he’ll most likely show up at your workplace, face pinched with worry because you failed to contact him.
You’re so caught up by your thoughts that you wince, surprised when people start clapping and cheering, everyone’s attention fully on your table.
When you confusedly look for Peter, your whole world drops.
The world seems to stop when you look to your side as Peter gets down on one knee, a jittery smile curling his lips.
Your face drops in horror, mind frozen and unable to think.
“Peter…”
“I know, I know.” he brushes you off, joy irradiating from him, “Just let me say this first, yeah? I’m so nervous.”
Your mouth opens and closes a few times and you blink, unable to fully comprehend what’s going on. This can’t be true…
This has to be a prank, there’s no way that Peter is actually proposing to you. But your doubts are swiftly cleared as a small and elegant velvet box appears in the scene.
No…
Peter clears out his throat with a small noise before looking at you, and you realize how nervous he actually is, a light layer of sweat in his forehead.
“I had this whole speech ready, you know. Been preparing it for weeks now.” he confesses after a long moment, shaking his head.
“Tony helped me write it. Lots of fancy poetic words and-and I completely forgot all of it.”
“But what I really wanna say is that I love you, Y/N.” Peter declares, his voice gaining determination, “From the moment I saw you, I knew that you were the one for me. I was lucky enough that you gave me a chance to prove to you how much I care for you…”
Your heart tightens at those words and you clutch the table’s fabric, feeling yourself helpless.
“... and this past year has been amazing. The best year of my life. All because of you.” Peter smiles tenderly at you, his hands working on opening the velvet box and you feel yourself tensing up when a delicate silver ring comes into sight.
“So…Y/N L/N, will you give me the honor of being your husband?”
And just like that, you faintly nod, not trusting your voice to speak. Peter beams at you and you do your best to retribute, despite the numbness that strikes you like a bullet.
The restaurant explodes in a loud applause and Peter wastes no time in pushing the pretty ring on your hand, engulfing you in a tight hug.
“I love you so much.” he feverously kisses your head.
You push your face against his chest, hoping to hide the tears that burn in your eyes as you start regretting saying yes already.

Happy Ending
Steve Rogers x reader
Words: 1.3k
Warnings: some swear words
A/N: For @fluffystevefest last day (it went by so fast)! Thank you for doing this 🥰
I wrote this on my phone so there will probably be mistakes 😅
Devider by @saradika-graphics
Happy endings were something from fairytales. The real life didn't offer this. Steve would know. Every single piece of happiness was taken from him after way too short. His dad, his mom soon after, Bucky (who luckily returned to him), his own life. After trying to reclaim what he could of his life things looked better. He had friends, a found family, a sense of purpose... only for it to be taken far too soon. After the fight with Thanos everyone went their separate ways. Tony quit to be with his family, Natasha went on a lengthy solo mission. Sam and Bucky went on their own adventures after Steve gave the shield to Sam, too tired to continue being cap. Being someone he just isn't anymore. Thor went back to new Asgard. Bruce went to California. Which leaves Steve alone in New York. Alone to pick up the shambles of his and everyone else's life. Alone.
The only social contacts he has are Peter when he needs help with his history homework, the old man from across the hall who bakes too much and gives Steve some sweet treats every sunday and the stray cats in the alley behind the building that he feeds. And theres the people from the therapy group he leads... And of course the people on the street who absolutely seem to hate him and love to let him know.
Do his neighbors to the left that constantly fight so loud he hears every word count? Steve sighs as he hears then fight once more and he isn't strong enough to hold himself back. "Fucking finally break. up! The building is sick and tired of you two fighting! Move out!" He barks against the wall. Against the picture of him and his friends... who kind of broke up. No more avengers... No more found family. Steve blinks at the picture and mutters a sorry before someone bangs on his door. Great! It's probably the asshole from next door.
With another sigh he goes to open the door. The angry gnome from next door stops in his tracks, the red falling from his face faster than his eyes grow the size of dinner plates because of all people it was the ex captain America that just told him to fucking break up. "Uh..." Steve rolls his eyes at the stammering. "Listen, sorry for the profanities but damn I'm so annoyed at your constant fighting. Keep it down or I'll complain to the building manager." He says, his tone serious and the gnome nods as if Steve just gave him an order... Well maybe he did. Steves eyes flutter to the poor girlfriend who stands in the doorframe. She's cute. "You deserve better." Is all he says before he turns around, catches a glimpse of the old man, Stanley, across the hall and closes the door. He lets out another sigh and crawls back onto the couch. Silence at last... At least in his environment..his head is loud as ever as his eyes fall back on the picture of his found family. Maybe he should go visit Tony. Or maybe Clint on the farm? Maybe he could guilt trip them all to see him for his birthday? He purses his lips and is about to text them when there's a gentle knock on his door. He swears if it's that gnome again he'll punch him into the next century.
As Steve opens the door he's met with the most beautiful woman he's every seen. His eyes grow wider and his mouth opens slightly. "H...Hi! You don't know me, I just moved in on the other side of the loud apartment... I just uh... Thank you for making them shut up?" You give him and unsure smile and all he can do is nod and stare. Which makes you nervous. "I uh... I had the night shift and I should sleep but they were so loud I couldn't. I already knocked against the wall but that didn't stop them. So thank you again!" You ramble on, nervously wringing your hands. Something makes Steve snap out of it. "Oh! No problem... They annoy me a lot too, although I don't have... work..." He offers awkwardly and then he holds out his hand. "I'm Steve" you smile softly at that and put your hand in his, offering your name. He softly shakes it and maybe holds it for a bit too long, not that any of you care.
"I should let you get back to sleep. Night shift sounds awful. Exhausting job?" He asks with an easy smile. "Sometimes? It's just exhausting when you have the night shift immediately after your move to scream town" he chuckles at your joke, which makes your insides release thousands of butterflies. "Yeah I think the building manager makes them leave for showings. They didn't scream for mine or for Stan's showing" he points to the door across from him and you immediately know that that must be where Stan lives. "They probably do or they'd have an empty floor" you joke and there's another sweet chuckle. "I uh... Thanks again, I'll leave you to it." You say before he can answer and give him a sweet smile and a small wave before heading back to your apartment. Steves heart flutters as he watches you leave. Did screaming at the gnome just introduce him to the sweetest human alive? He closes his door after you've entered your apartment. With a new pep in his step he goes to his phone and reaches out to his friends.
It's just a couple of days later when you knock on his door again. He's surprised to see you but oh so happy. "Hey sorry if I'm disturbing you" he smiles and shakes his head, urging you to go on. "I... That'll sound like I'm a creep but I uh... I saw you feed the strays and I wanted to bring you some food for them." You hold up the bag of food and Steve smiles sweetly. "Yeah... I started feeding them when I moved in. Can't have 3 cats though and I can't just take one. Would be a shame to separate them" he says as he takes the bag from you and thanks you sweetly. "Yeah it would be... They're so cute though" you gush and he smiles even more. "Hey uh... Wanna come in? Stan made too much cake and gave me like half of it... We could share?" You immediately nod and give him a shy smile. "I'd love that" Steve beams at that and let's you in. As you sit down he gets some tea for the both of you and gives you some cake.
One slice of cake turned into two. That turned into dinner and dinner turned into the two of you kissing on his couch. Kissing on his couch turned into a beautiful relationship filled with love and laughter. Steve has never been happier and he vowed to the universe to give everything in his power to not lose you. And whoever in the universe listened fulfilled his wish. A short engagement led to a beautiful outdoor wedding on Tony's property with everyone from his found family showing up. The two of you bought a house and moved in together with the 3 strays that you just couldn't leave behind. And your little family soon grew to a family of 7 when you got pregnant with twins.
Steve has never been prouder to carry a title then the title of daddy. Little chubby hands around his finger, big eyes taking in the wonder of the world and your beautiful smile as you're watching him with your little ones.
If Steve would have to describe a happy ending it would be this. You, his little ones and the 3 cats.

Silent Cosmos (Edward Cullen) (Ch. 3)

Pairing: Edward Cullen x GN! Mute!Reader
Words: 2.8k+
Warning(s): Two gross dudes, sexual verbal harassment (not towards reader), swearing,
A/N: omg chapter 3 is finally here. I apologize for the wait. I thought my semester this time around would be forgiving but NOPE. I had so much to do and read, I could hardly write for fun or draw either. I hadn't realized how long it had been since I last posted. I want to try a new method when writing series. I tried with my kpop writing blog, and its where I write a few chapters at a time then periodically post them. Helps keep the flow and motivation going, but that may have been a one off there.
Series Masterlist
-------
"O star of strength! I see thee stand And smile upon my pain; Thou beckonest with thy mailèd hand, And I am strong again... The Star of the unconquered will, He rises in my breast, Serene, and resolute, and still, And calm, and self-possessed. -- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, "The Light of Stars"
-------
Edward hasn't been in school for the past few days.
You admittedly felt a little lonely without his presence, though Emmett and Alice have made it their mission to become your new best friends. Jasper tried but he still kept his distance from you, which you didn't mind. Rosalie helped when no other Cullen was around, although she kept a lot of conversations at a minimum, which you also didn't mind.
Alice had told you Edward had gotten a bad cold, so he is staying home. You had offered to bring him your notes the first time so he could copy them down, but Alice told you their father has him basically on lock down until he is deemed healthy. So, after you've done your homework, you've been making copies of your notes to give him when he comes back.
It's the start of a new day and once again, Edward wasn't there. You were at your locker with 15 minutes to spare. You placed the spare folder with Edward's notes on the shelf while your mind went back to that moment you two shared at the welcoming party for your uncle. You felt happy telling him all the stars and constellation you could see, and even happier when he seemed thoroughly interested in your rambles. However, you feel an inkling of guilt when you remember he gave you his jacket. Maybe he got sick from that?
"Dude, I got this weird spot on my dick."
Well, there goes your musings of guilt. You glance to your left and see two guys near you, just chilling against the lockers. You've never met them, though you do remember sharing a class or two with them separately.
"Are you really airing your business out when someone is standing right their?" The shorter one, with dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes gestures to you.
"Relax, Mark. That's the deaf student." The taller one with deep brown eyes and brown hair says with a laugh. You suppress the urge to roll your eyes and choose to just focus on the inside of your locker. Maybe you should get more decorations- "Anyways, I have this weird spot on my dick. It almost looks like I have a weird mole there. I'm hoping it's just a new mole and Cindy didn't give me something."
Gross.
"I'd get that shit checked out then. You don't want it to turn into something worse if it is an STD." Mark says with a sigh. "I told you not to sleep with her, Tony. She made my balls itch like crazy. They still fucking itch."
"I think its just a weird mole. You wanna look?" He cackles while his friend fake gags. They both push off the lockers and walk away to who knows where.
You let out a deep sigh and close your locker. At least the ignorance of other allows you to hear some gossip.
"What's with the sigh, Tiny?" Emmett calls out as he and Rosalie approach you. He has very quickly taken to the nickname Tiny for you. You suppose anyone shorter than him would be considered tiny in his eyes. Rosalie simply opened her locker as you and Emmett conversed.
"Oh, just overheard two people talking about something that should have been a private conversation." You respond with a slight shrug.
"Gah, Forks High is full of a bunch of weirdos, huh?" He grins and raises his brows a few times, crossing his arms while leaning on the locker next to you. You silently chuckle and nod, though you wondered if there was an underlying joke there.
"No Edward today?"
"Nope. Carlisle still hasn't cleared him." He sighs with a sympathetic smile. "Between you and me, Tiny, Edward is still shitting his brains out." He signed that last portion to you.
You gave him a scandalized look and playfully slapped his arm with a small chuckle. You were surprised to feel just how hard his muscles were.
"What was that for?" He gripped where you slapped and pretended to be hurt. "It was a private conversation, no one else here except Rosalie knows sign."
You roll your eyes and shake your head with a smile. You could always count on Emmett to get you to smile.
"C'mon, Rose and I will walk you to first period, like always." He grins and gestures you to follow him. Rose simply came along since she and Em were in the class next to yours. You nod and follow, happy to have good company.
---
It was a passing period and it was just you and Rose at your lockers. You grabbed a new pen and pencil since the last two you had broke and ran out of ink. Rosalie was fluffing up her already perfect, blond hair in the mirror of her locker. She and you didn't converse much, but you still liked her presence. Like the rest of the Cullens, she didn't tiptoe around you or treated you differently. She acknowledged your presence and would answer you if you had questions.
You were about finished in your locker when you heard two familiar voices keep up their gross conversations behind you.
"Dude, Rosalie has the hottest ass." Tony practically jeers, his voice intentionally loud. You glance to the blond next to you and she still keeps fixing her hair, though you can see her brows are a little more furrowed and her lips are more in the shape of a frown.
"Her tits, man, her tits are where it's at." Replies Mark and when you shift just enough to see him in the corner of your eyes, you see him make an obscene gesture.
You hear the slight creek of metal and when you look to Rose, you see her grip is so tight on her locker door that her fingers made indents which made your eyes widen for a moment. She closes her locker and you can see by her side profile she is pissed, and rightfully so.
So, you do what you think would make her laugh at the expense of those two guys.
You tap her arm to get her attention and she looks at you with a glare. You don't let it faze you. If those two are going to be gross about your friend, you'll just air out their business that they so willingly aired out by you this morning.
"You know those two jackasses?" You intentionally look to them as you sign and look back at her. "Well the brown haired one has a spot on his penis that he isn't sure if it's a mole or an STD. And his buddy likely doesn't wash right since he's had prolonged itchy balls."
Rosalie looks almost scandalized until her eyes widen for a moment as she looks at the two dudes and then back to you. She covers her mouth as she laughs when she realizes what you're trying to do.
You were about to sign some more when the two dumbasses approach.
"I know you were talking shit. What the fuck did you sign?" Tony glared, pointing an accusatory finger at you. He gets in your face and you swear you hear Rosalie growl.
You swallow thickly and decide to open your mouth. Your aunt always said you got your stubbornness from your mom.
"I said..." You try not to wince at the pain in your throat, your voice sounding hoarse. "You had a weird spot on your dick and your friend... has itchy balls." They looked at you with wide, horrified looks. "Don't talk about someone's body if you don't want yours talked about either."
"You little shit." Mark hisses and Rose steps closer to your side, an arm just barely in front of yours.
"What's going on here?" Emmetts voice grows louder as he approaches, his usual, carefree smile no longer on his face. He looked scarier than you've ever seen him. Mark and Tony looked at each other before slinking off.
Once they were gone you let out a dry, painful cough. You cover your mouth with the back of your hand and quickly grab your water and drink, soothing your throat. You could taste a tiny bit of iron in the back of your throat as you drank.
Rosalie calls your name softly. "Are you okay?"
You nod in response and take another sip of water. You didn't catch the look they gave each other or Rose gesturing for Emmett to speak.
"What happened, Tiny?" He asks in a quiet tone. You close the cap of your bottle and place it back in your bag. Your throat still ached but you knew the pain from using your larynx will linger.
You start to sign to him everything that occurred, from what you overheard in the morning to him approaching. You can see a flash of anger on his face but he goes back to that small smile. Once you explained your words to Rose and why you said them, a huge grin breaks out on his face.
"I didn't know you had it in you, Tiny." He laughs and pats your shoulder a little too firmly.
"Come, I'll walk you to class." Rosalie said with a soft tone. You nod and wave goodbye to Emmett. You both start heading down the hallway, the blond next to you tense.
When you got to your class a pale hand stopped you. You look to Rose with a questioning look while her gold eyes avoid yours.
"I just wanted to say thank you for earlier." Rosalie says, the tense look she had fades into a small smile, her eyes meeting yours. You see some vulnerability in her usually guarded gaze. She gives your shoulder a squeeze before dropping her hand. "You didn't have to do that. I'm... admittedly used to that."
"No need to thank me, Rosalie." You smile back at her.
"I do, because not many would step up like that." She softly sighs and her smile grows a bit. You felt her words had more meaning to them, but you decided to not linger on them for now. "I know I've been slightly avoiding you but I have a hard time trusting hu- new people. But, after today, I think I want to open up a bit and be friends."
"I'd like that too." You beam. "Alice has been begging me to do a shopping trip, maybe the three of us can plan a trip soon."
"I'd... I'd like that." She almost looks like she is relieved and less guarded.
"Is your hand okay?"
"What?"
"Well, I saw you grip your locker and you dented it."
"Oh. Yeah, it's fine. I work on cars and my grip is strong. It's nothing." She holds out her hands and you saw just flawless skin. "Well, I will see you soon. Class is starting."
"Talk to you later." You wave and go to class. You sit down at your usual spot and start preparing. You sigh, irritated at the way those two spoke about Rose so loudly. But you also felt happy you and Rose were close now. Her bending the locker was suspicious... there were many things off with the Cullens that you've picked up, however, you don't linger on it. They have their quirks much like you have your own.
---
Edward lounged on the couch reading, back from his trip up to the Denali clan to clear his head. After witnessing that nightmare from you, he needed a moment alone to sort his thoughts. He wasn't sure what he felt afterwards but once he took some time to sort out his thoughts, he came back to Forks. None of the others knew what happened. He didn't tell them those details of your life, as none of them were privy to it. He wasn't either but that bridge has been crossed thanks to his ability and curiosity of the galaxy protecting your mind.
He felt guilt initially when he realized he deeply invaded your privacy. Then, despair and immense sadness followed when he recalls back to your nightmare, your past. Edward had seen many horrors in his long life, he even committed some when he'd hunt those men. However when he witnessed what you went through, he couldn't help feel a spark of protectiveness. You were nice. He found you a joy to be around despite it not being long since you transferred. He doesn't want anything bad to happen to you.
Edward couldn't help but smile when he thought back to you and him outside the fire station. It was a peaceful moment. He couldn't help but linger on the sight of you in his jacket, pointing out the stars and constellations. It was silent other than your internal thoughts. And when he got to witness your galaxy so at peace? He also felt a sense of tranquility he longs for.
Edward quickly put those thoughts away and resumed his attention his book when he heard his adoptive siblings come in. Alice and Jasper pass without saying to him, which he was slightly thankful for. However, Emmett and Rosalie lingered by him.
"How can I help you both?" Edward sighs, snapping the book closed as he looks at both of them.
Rose crosses her arms. "You need to come back tomorrow."
"Why? Did something happen?"
"Yeah, Tiny happened." Emmett grinned and gestured to Rosalie. The blond sighed and let the memory replay of you standing up for her so Edward can see what happened today. He furrows his brows, setting his book down. He stands up from the couch and looks between the two.
"My guess is those two will probably retaliate against our friend one way or another." Rosalie says softly. Edward chooses not to point out how she said 'our friend.' "You spend the most time with them, they'll need you to stick around them the most."
Edward nods slowly. He recognizes Mark and Tony, and he knows they each have a class with him and you. He's heard the thoughts that spew from them both like garbage and he knows they aren't above getting back at someone.
"I'll come back tomorrow." He confirms. He wanted one more day to himself, but tomorrow is good as ever to face you again. He knows how you lost your voice and how you ended up living with your uncle and aunt now, but you don't know he knows. And he'll have to keep that in mind.
Although, Edward couldn't help but smile at the sound of your voice in Rosalie's memory. It was rough and hoarse, and it caused you pain, pain he doesn't want you feeling again... but it was nice hearing that voice that matches to the one in your head... when that space of yours is dropped.
---
You make your way to your locker first thing in the morning. You get yourself situated, grabbing the things you need for your classes before lunch. You set aside the folder where you kept your copies of notes for Edward down on the small shelf. You huff softly, throat still feeling sore from using your voice.
A familiar voice calling your name has you spinning around quickly, a smile instantly growing on your face. Edward approaches you with a small smile, looking the same as he did the last time you saw him.
"Glad to see you're feeling better." You grin, your mind flashing back to what Emmett signed to you in regards to Edward's health. You catch your friend's eyebrow twitch, a flash of annoyance on his face that he quickly recovered.
A Cullen quirk, you muse to yourself.
"Yeah. I'm doing a lot better now." He replies softly, standing a little closer to you than usual.
"I have something for you." You see his eyebrow quirk as you turn back to your locker. You pull out the black folder and hand him it. "Notes for the classes we share."
Edward stares down at the folder before chuckling. He looks up at you and gives you brilliant smile, one that makes your heart flutter for just a moment. "Thank you, I really appreciate it."
"Of course."
Suddenly, you feel hand on your back. Edward was standing much closer to you with an expression akin to a scowl as he stares off a little. He looks to you and smiles softly, though you can still see the tension on his face.
"We should get to the classroom. I'll probably have questions about what I missed." He says in a low voice. You nod, a little confused by his demeanor. You finish up with your locker and let him guide through the hallway, his cold hand still resting on the middle of your back.
You weren't aware of Tony's and Mark's presences until you both were walking by them to your first period classroom. You paid them no mind, keeping your focus ahead of you. Doing this, however, has you missing the deep and threatening glare from Edward towards the both of them.
As you both walked through the hallway, Edward felt that his non-existent blood boiling at the degrading, violent, and nasty thoughts those two were thinking. He knew they both weren't the best that Forks has to offer, their thoughts sometimes louder than others.
That protective urge he felt after witnessing your nightmare? It's working overtime now and he isn't completely sure why.
What Edward does know that he won't let them try anything towards you.

18+ MINORS DNI
Tony was furious with Y/N, although Pepper was worried about them. So she approached their office to see Y/N on the phone, trying to fix what they had messed up.
"Y/N, we need to talk." Pepper told them as they looked at her sadly.
"I'm sorry about the meeting. I just." Y/N sighed. "I don't know what I am doing anymore." They whispered as they ran their hands through their hair. "I got this job here because I needed the job. Not because it was my dream but for my family."
"What was your dream?" Pepper asked them.
"Why are you being nice to me? You should be yelling. Telling me to clear out my stuff." They stated as Pepper just gave them a sad smile.
"I know you're going through a lot and even though Tony is more business driven than compassionate. I am the opposite." She told them. "Maybe take some time out and figure everything out. Also you need to look after yourself too because you have lost a lot of weight and you are exhausted."
"I have bills to pay." They told her. "Kids to provide for, I can't just take time off."
"What if we reduced the amount of work you have." She suggested. "Fewer meetings and reports, it gives you more time to see your therapist and heal."
"I don't need that." They told her. "I can't afford to take a drop in my salary."
"I never said you would lose any money." Pepper told them. "I just said that you will have a smaller work load, not less income. So as of Monday, you will be able to work from home. I will be sure to assign you the reports and meetings personally until I have a written report from Dr Raynor that you are ready to return fully."
"Thank you." They gave her a small smile, truly grateful for what she is doing for them.
"Go home and rest Y/N." She told them as they looked at her. "I have already spoke to Tony about all of this and he has no say. So go home and spend the weekend with your family."
"Ok." They nodded as she waited for them to gather their things. "I'll see you on Monday." With that they left the building, heading towards their and getting in the driver's seat. Their keys in their hand as they soon broke down.
Once they had calmed down, they made their way to the one place they knew would bring them comfort. But the sight they saw made their heart shatter. Wanda hugged a guy who they have never seen before, watching as he left before she noticed Y/N stood outside their car.
"Y/N." Wanda tried as she hurried towards them, trying to catch them before they got back in the car.
"I'm sorry to interrupt whatever that was but it doesn't matter now." They said as they started the car.
"It's not like that!" Wanda told them, hurrying around the front of the car and getting in the passenger seat.
"What are you doing?" They asked her, looking in her direction as she noticed how broken they looked.
"We are talking." She stated as they just laughed dryly.
"I don't want to hear about how you are moving on Wanda." With that they exited the car and started to walk away.
"Y/N!" Wanda followed them as they shrugged her off.
"It's ok Wanda." They looked at her, guilt in their eyes. "I never made you happy so you want to be with someone who will. Just know that I won't stand in the way of your happiness." With that they left her in the street, getting her phone out and inviting Nat over. Needing her best friend.
"Wanda." Nat groaned as Wanda told her everything that had happened. "You really are clueless."
"What?" She asked her, confusion etched onto her features.
"They came here for some form of comfort." She told her. "They lost their family when they were younger so you and your mutual friends were really all they had."
"I'm a dick." Wanda stated as Nat agreed. "But Simon is just a guy from the course. He was helping me understand something."
"Of course." Nat spoke sarcastically.
"It's true!" Wanda yelled. "I don't really want to be with anyone. I am still married and even after the divorce, I still don't think I will be able to move on."
"Which makes your decision completely pointless!" Nat told her.
"It is a joint decision." Wanda stated as Nat shook her head.
"It is your decision, Y/N is too in love with you to disagree." Nat told her. "So you need to talk with them. Maybe see a couple's therapist."
"I don't know." Wanda ran her hands over face.
"The two of you have been in love since college Wanda. Y/N Y/L/N is the one for you and you need to realise that this whole separation is stupid." Wanda was left thinking of Nat's words, all of them sinking deep as Y/N walked back to their apartment. Settling down on the sofa, looking at a blank screen of the TV. Their tie loose around their neck as their top button was undone.
A knock on the door made them sigh, looking towards the entrance as they slowly stood from the sofa and trudged towards the door. Sighing as they saw Wanda through the peep hole.
"What is it Wanda?" They asked as they let her inside.
"You wanted someone to talk to." Wanda stated. "And over the years it was always me who you confided in. Everything that bothered you, you came to me even if I never had a solution because you always told me that just getting it out of your mind helped."
"I'm fine." They stated as they headed towards their bedroom to get out of their suit, not expecting Wanda to follow them.
"Y/N, you aren't eating." She stated as she saw their now thin form. They were always lean but now they looked ill.
"Wanda! What are you doing in here!" They yelled as they scrambled to get a t shirt.
"I want to make sure you're ok and you clearly are not." Wanda stated as she gave them a saddened look. "I guess I never really thought about you during all of this. I am selfish."
"No you're not." They told her quickly. "You wanted more from our marriage and I never gave that to you. It's not selfish for wanting more intimacy or love. Or more of my time and I should have given it to you."
"No." Wanda whispered as she had tears in her eyes. "I just wanted you. I want you to be ok."
"I will be." They told her. "I just also have to get used to you seeing other people too I guess."
"I am not seeing Simon. He is a guy from the course and he had more of an understanding of the class the other day and he was just explaining it more for me. There is nothing more than that." Wanda told them as she left the room. "I don't think I will ever move on from you because no one will ever be good enough because you were it for me." Wanda just covered her mouth as Y/N stepped closer to her.
"Then what are we doing?" Y/N questioned as Wanda shook her head, raising her other hand.
"I can't." Wanda whispered. "I do love you. More than you will ever know but us." She gestured between the two. "It was hard, and I constantly wondered when we would have our time but you would barely touch me and I just." She sighed as she looked at them, tears escaping her eyes. "I had given up on the idea of the two of us being us again."
"You could have talked to me." They told her softly. "You could always talk to me because I will always be here for you. Maybe if you came to me we wouldn't be here." They sighed as they watched Wanda carefully. "I could have changed for you if I needed to. I could have been better. I could have done so much more if you had spoke to me."
"It's not all on you." She whispered as she watched them. "I was scared." She spoke shakily. "I was scared that you would think I'm being stupid and I didn't want to feel lesser than you."
"You aren't lesser than me. You never were." They reached out for her hand. "If anything, I was less than you for numerous reasons, especially of I made you feel like you couldn't come to me." Wanda let out a choked sob as Y/N wrapped their arms around her. "Maybe there is a chance for us, in some other time or universe." They kissed her head as she cried in their arms. The first time in weeks were they had felt whole again.

It shouldn’t be this hard, right? It was such a simple choice. Ice cream or fruit. Ice cream or fruit. Ugh, you were going to work yourself into a panic attack over a stupid choice. “Kid, you are letting all the cold air out,” you jumped at Tony’s voice and slammed the fridge and freezer closed.
“Sorry, I was distracted,” he raised a questioning eyebrow at you as he poured himself a cup of coffee. It was well past 5 o’clock, you had no idea how he drank that and managed to sleep. Well maybe he wasn’t sleeping, that was his secret.
“What’s on your mind?” He asked.
“Nothing, it’s stupid,” you sighed. Tony leaned back on the counter and sipped his coffee.
“Try me,” you began to pick at the skin around your thumb.
“I wanted something to eat,” you explained. “But I couldn’t decide if I wanted ice cream or strawberries. The decision almost caused me to have a panic attack.” It sounded a lot stupider when you said it out loud. He was quiet and you expected him to have left.
“You know you can have both, right?” You spun around to face him.
“Both?” You questioned in disbelief. He nodded and set his coffee down.
“Sit and watch this,” you sat down and he grabbed the per-cut fruit from the fridge and the ice cream from the freezer. He scoped a few spoonfuls of ice cream in a bowl and sprinkled a few cut-up strawberries on top. “Here,” he handed you the bowl with a spoon but you refused to take it. “What?”
“I didn’t have to have both,” you said. “What if someone wanted those strawberries or that ice cream? I didn’t need both.”
“Kid,” he placed a gentle hand on your shoulder and placed the bowl in front of you. “If we run out FRIDAY will just order more. You can have anything you want as much as you want.”
“Oh,” you whispered. There was a limit to certain things in the Red Room; food that was given, free time without the cuffs, and a break from the ballet bar. Everything good was limited. “Uh, thanks, Tony. Sorry, that was so dumb.” And a little embarrassing.
“Don’t apologize,” he smiled. “If there is something specific you want let FRIDAY know or ask me, okay?” You nodded as he cleaned up the mess he made. “Enjoy!” He left you to devour your sweet treat.
*
You heard giggling as you entered the kitchen after your workout with Steve. A smoothie, a cold glass of water, and a nap was calling your name. Sitting on the island were Wanda and Yelena, hunched over a laptop and that was the source of the laughter. “What’s going on you two?” You asked, grabbing a glass of water.
“Yelena is a croissant,” Wanda said smiling. You stared at the Slovakian and your sister, mouth slightly open as you tried to process what she told you.
“I’m going to pretend I understand what that meant,” Yelena giggled and turned around the computer.
“It’s an internet quiz,” your sister said. “It will ask you a few questions and you answer at the end it will give you the type of bread you are, or dog, or cartoon character.” She explained. You tilted your head.
“Why do you want to know what type of flower you are?” You questioned, scrolling on the page to see the other quizzes. “What’s the point?” You saw Yelena roll her eyes and take the computer from you.
“There isn’t a point,” Wanda said. “It’s just a fun way to pass the time.” Fun? You weren’t allowed to have fun. There was always a mission or job that needed to be done. Fun was something you weren’t allowed to have in the Red Room.
“Can I take one?” You asked Yelena smiled, nodding her head excitedly. That was where Natasha found you, sitting between Wanda and Yelena with the computer on your lap. “I am not a red panda,” you whined. The two girls laughed at you.
“According to the internet you are,” Yelena smiled, pinching your cheek. “My big krasnaya panda (red panda).” You slapped her hand away.
“I hate you,” you deadpanned.
“There you are,” Natasha said, rounding the corner to stand in front of you. “I thought we were meeting at 3.” You frowned. You were done with your workout by noon so you could shower, eat, and maybe take a nap. Natasha wanted to meet with you because there were some Widows in Central America and the Avengers wanted to see if they could do some surveillance. You looked at the clock in the corner of the laptop. It was 3:15. Shit. You looked back at your sister, her arms were crossed and she wore a smirk on her face.
“I got distracted,” you cringed.
“They got you addicted to those dumb quizzes.”
“Hey,” Yelena said. “They aren’t dumb.” She defended. Natasha rolled her eyes.
“Are we meeting or..”
“Yup,” you put the laptop on Yelena’s lap and stood up. “That was fin. See ya guys.” You followed Natasha to the conference room. “Sorry I was late,” you said to her as you sat down in the chair. “Time got away from me.” You were never late, when you needed to be somewhere you were early. If you were late there would be horrible consequences. Natasha waved you off.
“I’m just messing with you,” she smiled, handing you a folder. “Messing around and not working all the time is good for you. We all need to do it every once in a while. It reminds us why we keep fighting.”
*
Walking by Yelena’s room, you heard a groan from the slight crack. Frowning, you gently knocked on her door. “Go away,” she groaned again. You chuckled.
“It’s me,” you opened her door. Yelena was cocooned in the blankets on her bed. “Are you okay?” She burrowed her face in her pillow, muffling the sound she let out. “Come on, sestra,” you sat down on her bed and ran her fingers through her blonde hair. She flopped on her back, pouting.
“I don’t feel good,” you placed your hand on her forehead. She wasn’t warm. “No, it’s not that type of sickness,” she huffed out a sigh. “It’s that time of the month.” Her cheeks blushed slightly. Ah, that explained her mood the past few days. You smiled.
“What do you need?”
“Can you get my heating pad?” She asked. “I think it’s in Nat’s room.” You nodded, kissing her forehead. It was a quick trip to Natasha’s room to grab the heating pad and into the kitchen for water, a Gatorade, and some chocolate. You weren’t subjected to periods but you knew people who were and what they liked. Yelena sighed when you reentered with your arms filled with goodies. You bent down to plug in the heating pad. “Ugh, I hate having a uterus,” the off-handed comment made you freeze, subconsciously moving your hand to wear you bared the mark of the Red Room’s choice. “Shit, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean it like that.” Her panic snapped you out of the fog, turned on the heating pad, and placed it on Yelena’s stomach. You sat down and cuddled up against her.
“It’s okay,” you said and handed her the chocolate bar. She unwrapped it, picking at the bar slowly. You could tell she was still upset with herself. “Yelena, I’m serious. It’s okay. You didn’t mean any harm,” she sighed. Your sister sat up and placed her hand where she saw where you rested yours. Natasha saved Yelena before the graduation ceremony. One day she could have the choice of having children.
“Do you and Carol want kids one day?” You laughed.
“Funny enough we haven’t talked about that fair into the future,” you smiled, resting your hand on top of hers. The Red Room forced all Black Widows to be sterilized upon graduation. A child of your own was the one thing worth more than the mission. It made everything easier, with undying loyalty to the cause. “Not sure if I want kids,” you told her. “I never thought I’d be given the opportunely to have them.” Yelena nodded, moving to rest her head on your stomach.
“I think you’d be a great mom,” she mumbled, closing her eyes.
“Do you think so?” You asked. She hummed in agreement. “Thank you,” you whispered. “Get some sleep.”
*
‘What the hell was the noise?” You thought as you walked out to the balcony. It sounded like a cat being murdered. The source of the sound was coming from Steve, a guitar resting on his lap. You grimaced at the note that was very out of tone. "Whatcha doing?” You asked, holding the book you were going to read behind your back. The super soldier looked at you, pausing the song he was playing.
“Trying to learn how to play the guitar,” you smiled, sitting down in the empty chair next to him.
“And how’s that going?” He sighed and set the guitar on the side table between you and him.
“Well Sam was out here with me at one point so does that answer your question.” You chuckled.
“It takes some practice,” you said, leaning back in the chair and opening the book. Steve mirrored you but with a sketchbook. “You’ll get it,” you added and you both fell into a comfortable silence. But as you read your book, you kept glancing at the guitar. It had been so long since you’d felt the strings of a guitar underneath your fingers. You enjoyed every callous you earned. Sighing, you put the book down and carefully picked up the guitar. You couldn’t help the smile that formed on your face as you tuned it and began to strum. It was a weird feeling it’s been years since you felt this level of peace. Your smile grew. The world seemed much smaller when a guitar was in your hands.
“I didn’t know you could play,” you jumped, stopping mid-song. “Sorry,” Steve chuckled. “I didn’t mean to startle you.”
“Not, it’s fine,” you ran your hand over the body of the guitar. “I was in my own little world,” you sighed. “I haven’t played since Ohio and I didn’t realize how much I missed it.” You admitted, resting your chin on the guitar.
“I could tell. I haven’t seen you smile that big before,” you felt your body warm up. Steve closed his sketchbook and stood up. “You should keep it. You’re the best person to play it.” It took a moment for your brain to register what Steve said.
“Wait,” you stood up. Steve was already at the door. “Hold on. I can’t just keep this.” It was ridiculous, a little absurd.
“Why not?” He questioned with a tilt of his head.
“Because,” you licked your lips. “Because I’ve done nothing to deserve this.” He sadly smiled at you. Did you say something wrong?
“You know you can be given a gift without having to earn it,” that couldn’t be correct. You had to earn everything. Extra portions at dinner time. A mission success meant you could get a break. “Besides, that thing has been bouncing between everyone looking for a home,” he continued. “I think you can give it one.” You stared at the guitar in your hands.
“Thank you, Steve,” he shrugged.
“You should play for all of us,” he said. “At dinner or something.” You smiled.
“I may need some practice before I start performing shows.” He chuckled.
“Well enjoy,” he left you alone. You sat back down, guitar resting on your lap. It was bittersweet holding this instrument again. You wondered what happened to the one you had back in Ohio or any of your things? Was it confiscated by SHIELD? Or local authorities? Was it donated and now someone else was learning how to play on the very same instrument you used? Sighing, you began to play again.
“So bye, bye Miss. American Pie-”
*
There was something off about the day. You were just off all day, having no motivation or energy to do anything. So you called it an early night and curled up underneath the covers. A gentle knock followed by the door opening caused you to sit up. It was Carol. “Hi,” she smiled. “Mind if I join you?” You shook your head and lay back down. You heard her walk over to your closet to grab some clothes she left in your room. The bed shifted as Carol climbed in. She was quick to bring you into her arms. Sighing, you felt her lips graze against your skin. Her hands traveled underneath her shirt. Any other night you would welcome her advances and where this was going to lead but you were so tired.
So when Carol turned you over on your back and covered her body with hers, you didn’t fight her. She was your girlfriend and if she was in the mood you should just let her. It wasn’t the first time and it wouldn’t be the last.
“Hey, are you okay?” Carol asked, sitting back on her heels.
“Why-why did you stop?” You asked.
“Because I asked you a question and you didn’t answer.” Oh. You must have dissociated. “Do you not want to have sex?” No. That was the word fighting to come out of your mouth but if you said no would she still want to be with you? Would she hit you like the orders and force you anyway?
“It’s fine,” you said, placing your hands on her thighs. “You are in the mood,” you sat up and put your arms around her neck. “So you can use me.” Your girlfriend stared at you as if she was trying to figure out what you said.
“Use you?” She questioned. You nodded. “I’m not going to use you like you’re some object.” You frowned and sat back. Why wasn’t she going to have sex with you? “Baby, if you don’t want to have sex at any time you can say no.” Your eyebrows scrunched together. No? You weren’t allowed to say no.
“But-but if you want to and as your girlfriend I should let you.” Carol sighed and crossed her legs on your bed. Was she upset with you?
“You have ownership of your own body. It doesn’t matter if I want to have sex, you owe me nothing. I should have asked for consent first.”
“Consent?” You said the world slowly as it felt foreign on your tongue.
“Yeah consent,” she said. “So you know how I would ask to hug you when we weren’t officially together,” you nodded. You always wondered why she did that. “I was asking for your consent to touch you. I didn’t want to assume it was okay.”
“But it is. You can touch me.” She smiled.
“Maybe on some days you don’t want me to and you can tell me no and I’ll respect that.”
“Oh,” you whispered. “You must think I’m so stupid.” You looked down at your hands. Gently, she used her pointer finger to lift your head to look at you.
“Never. The Red Room took your and your sister’s autonomy. I will help you get that back. So,” she smiled. “What do you want to do?” You sighed, biting your tongue from telling her you wanted to have sex.
“Can we cuddle? I’m exhausted.” She nodded and climbed off the bed to help you pull back the covers. Once you were under them, she lay down next to you and put her arm around you. “Thank you.”
“Of course,” you heard the smile in her voice. “Now sleep.” And you did, safely in her arms.
*
“Melina-” Natasha heard the strain in your voice as she walked by your room. You were pacing; 5 steps, turn around, and another 5 steps. “I know but if you-” you were cut off again. Natasha couldn’t hear the other end of the conversation but she could tell you weren’t agreeing with whatever was being said. “Yes, mama. I will. Talk to you soon. Bye.” You hung up and stared at your phone.
“You know,” Natasha made her presence known before you threw your phone against the wall. “I don’t think your phone deserves that.” You chuckled and sat down on the edge of the bed.
“I think Stark could cough over a few bucks to get me another one,” she hummed in agreement and entered your room.
“What’s going on with you and Melina?”
“It’s nothing,” she gave you a pointed look. You sighed. “Sometimes I feel like she doesn’t listen or even try to understand my point of view on something,” you tapped your phone against your thigh. “I was cycled through the Red Room four times before you were born,” you mimicked the older Black Widow accent so well it made Natasha smile. “And I get that it must have been so hard and painful but-”
“It’s not an excuse to invalidate what you went through,” Natasha said, finding the words for you. You looked at her, nodding your head.
“Exactly,” you looked forward again. “When she finished her work with him she got out. Things just got worse,” Natasha knew this conversation was about Melina but there was a part of her that wondered if that was directed at her too.
“It’s common for daughters to fight and not see eye to eye,” Natasha witnessed Laura and Lila go toe to toe.
“Yeah but most mother-daughter relationships weren’t created by a deep undercover Red Room mission to steal information from SHIELD aka HYDRA,” you said, resting your head on her shoulder. “I’m so glad I don’t live with them anymore,” the redhead laughed. “I’m serious. I think I’d kill Alexei by now,” Natasha smiled and took your hand in hers.
“Do you hate them?” She found herself asking. “Like do you wish they were stronger to say no to him.” You were quiet. Natasha could see your eyebrows pinched together in concentration.
“I think that resentment will always be there,” you said. “I was so angry at them when we first arrived at the Red Room.”
“Really? I had no idea,” you acted like their betrayal was something you expected. You chuckled.
“That’s because I hid it from you,” of course you did. Natasha wasn’t surprised by that. “But I thought about getting my revenge on them all the time. I thought I wanted to kill them.” You admitted.
“What changed your mind?” You sighed.
“Because they weren’t the problem. They were just part of the system that was created far before their time.”
*
“I’m not sick,” you mumbled, fighting a sneeze that was tickling your nose. Yelena and Natasha stared at each other before rolling their eyes. “I’m serious!” You pouted, sniffling slightly.
“Oh yeah?” Natasha questioned. “How come Carol told us you didn’t sleep last night because you were up coughing?”
“Traitor,” you huffed and failed to keep a straight face as one sneeze after another escaped. You groaned, a pressure building behind your eyes.
“It’s probably just a cold,” Yelena said, jumping on the table next to you. “Helen will just give you medicine and you’ll feel better in no time,” that was the problem. You hated taking anything that you were told would ‘help’. “Maybe she’ll give you a lollipop.”
“Yelena-” Before Natasha could finish her thought the door opened but instead of Helen, a man walked in. “Bruce,” your sister said. “I wasn’t aware you were back.” He gave her a small smile.
“I got back late last night. Helen got pulled away in a meeting with Steve and Tony so she asked me to help out,” he turned his attention to you. “You must be Y/n, I’ve heard a lot about you. I’m Bruce,” he approached you with his hand extended to you but you refused to take it, frozen in your spot. Could they hear your heart beating? “Would you be more comfortable with Dr. Cho?” He asked. His question snapped you out of the trance you were in.
“No,” you said. “Let’s just get this over with.”
“I’ll let you know everything I’m about to do before I do it, okay?” He could sense your hesitation. A small nod was all the consent you could give and the exam began. He listened to your lungs, asking you to breathe in and out, and took your temperature. You tried to get your body to relax but it wouldn’t. It was tense with tension every time Bruce touched you. His touch was gentle, a little hesitant but you were waiting for the shoe to drop. Soon his hands would leave bruises, would grab you, and force you down. “Looks like you have a small upper respiratory infection,” he said. “Which is odd since you were given the serum, right?” You didn’t respond “Are you under more stress or training harder?”
“I don’t think our sister knows how to relax,” Yelena mumbled and glared at her. Bruce smiled.
“Well I recommend some rest and I’ll prescribe you an antibiotic,” he wrote all this down on his tablet. “I don’t want to interfere too much but the medicine should remind the serum to do its job. Take it easy for the next few days.”
“Thanks, Bruce,” Natasha said for you. You forced a smile as the doctor left. “Want to talk about what just happened?” You sighed but a violent coughing attack ripped through you. Natasha grimaced and walked over to you, rubbing your back to soothe the cough.
“I think I’m sick,” you mumbled. Yelena laughed.
“Yeah no shit but listen to what Bruce said and you’ll be better in no time,” So, that was the problem. You refused to take the antibiotics and decided to try to sweat the infection. That was where Bruce found you, holding onto a punching bag as a violent cough left you breathless.
“Your sisters told me I could find you here,” you tensed up at the sound of his voice. Another cough caused you to sway on your feet and Bruce reached out to steady you, this time you didn’t hide your flinch. Immediately, he pulled back his hands. You slumped against the wall, rubbing your chest to ease the pain. It helped. “Do you want me to get Helen or someone you’re comfortable with?” You shook your head.
“I’m fine,” you took a sip from your water bottle. “It’s not you, it’s me.” He stared at you.
“That was the most cliche line you could have said,” he deadpanned but it made you smile. You lowered yourself onto the ground and tried to collect your thoughts. But Bruce was patient and didn’t rush you to speak. Instead, he sat down in front of you with enough space to not make you feel trapped.
“In the Red Room, we were given pills and we were to take them without question mostly by male doctors,” you explained. There was still fear whenever Helen or Melina gave you medication but it helped they were females. “Sometimes it did help, the pain or sickness went away but other times,” you dug your nails into your hand. “Other times we would black out and wake up to a man on top of us.” You swore you saw a flash of green appear on his neck but the doctor covered it up with a cough. “So it’s me, not you.” It was his turn to be quiet and analyze the information you told him.
“Natasha almost broke my arm when I tried to patch her up after a mission,” you chuckled, that sounded about right. “She wouldn’t let Yelena see me alone. I can’t begin to understand what you and your sisters went through,” he sadly said. “But I’m not going to force you to be around me. It’s a trust I’m willing to earn, on your terms, and however long it takes.”
“Thank-thank you, Dr. Banner,” he smiled and stood up.
“I’ll have Helen set up another examination,” he said. “She may prescribe you a different and stronger antibiotic,” you bite back a groan, it was your fault anyway. “Get some rest or I’ll have FRIDAY ban you from the training room. Doctor’s orders.” He joked.
“Aye, aye captain,” you gave him a mock solute. He chuckled and left you alone. With a sigh, you rested your head on the wall. The serum helped you avoid sickness and long-lasting injuries but it was a water-down version unlike what they gave to Steve and the Winter Solider. So some of the bruises and injuries from their hands would last a little longer. It was another way for all the Widows to be under their control. But you were free and safe from them and Helen and Bruce were trying to help. They wouldn’t hurt you. You kept repeating it over and over again until you believed it.
*
It was a foreign feeling as you sat on a blanket near the pound of the Avenger’s compound. Feet bear and resting on the grass. Your fingers strummed on the guitar and hummed along to the song you were playing. Peace. That was the state of mind you were feeling. It was overwhelming. It was strange. But nice. You heard footsteps approaching, but the sound didn’t stop you from playing. You felt the warm hands of your girlfriend resting on your shoulders. She squeezed them. “How are you, baby?” You smiled, looking over your shoulder.
“Good, I’m happy which is odd.” She chuckled.
“Odd? Why is it odd?” You shrugged.
“Never thought I would be happy,” she kissed the top of your head.
“You deserve all of this and more,” she promised. “Now come on, teach me how to play.” You laughed and handed her the guitar. You stood up on your knees and maneuvered her hands on the guitar. As you were explaining the different notes and chords, she was staring at you instead of the guitar.
“What are you looking at?” You giggled.
“Just the most beautiful person in the entire world,” you rolled your eyes and fought the smile that spread across your face.
“Flattery will get you nowhere Captain. Now focus.”
“Yes ma’am,” she teased and began to listen to what you were teaching her. You smiled as she played the cords with some hesitation. This was your life, your beautiful life.

Also, while writing these stories. I don't think I've written Carol asking the reader to be her girlfriend. May write a quick drabble about that.

hiii was wondering could you do a stucky and little reader where they take her to the stark tower for the first time and introduce you to the team and other littles?
Hi there love! 💜
Thank you so much for your lovely request! I'm so sorry you had to wait that long! ❤️
I hope you like it!
Enjoy <33
****
Warnings : cuteness, little reader is shy, pet names, fluff, meeting with unknow people, small talk
Pairings : Daddies!Stucky ; Daddy!Bucky x Papa!Steve x Little!Reader
Summary : new friends ? Maybe
****
Your Papa redresses your beautiful dress, a proud smile on his face as he looks up at you "are you ready ?" he asks excited.
Your Papa is sooo excited today because you will finally meet his friends! He can't be more proud and more happy to live that day with his family and his friends. Everything will be perfect.
You, you weren't so stressed out with that idea. In fact, your Daddies- more your Papa tho- can't stop talking about their wonderful friends and how you'll be so close to them one day. They just know you'll be friends with everyone because, who doesn't want to be friend with you ?? Seriously, you're just the best person ever so of course they'll love you. No doubts about that!
"Calm down Steve" Bucky laughs as he rests two hands on your shoulders "she'll be fine, she always is" he winks down at you. You blush and smile up at him. He gently kisses your forehead while your head is tilted toward him before knocking on the door.
He knows that if the faster they go inside and you meet everyone, the faster Steve will be relax and not so annoying, like your Daddy would says.
The door open and a man who is almost as tall as your Daddies came in your visual. His strict face breaks into a silly grin as he spots your Daddies "finally!" he explames, taking you by surprise "we've been waiting for hours" he playfully rolls his eyes
Your eyes widen at the thought of them being annoyed because they had to wait for you to arrive, just because your Daddy had to iron the dress because you didn't wanted to wear another one. It was this one!
You peer behind you at your Daddy with a worry expression as you walk inside and he gives you a reassuring smile and a nod of his head. You swallow your guilt and take in your surrender.
It's a lot bigger than... than... Well- than everything you've ever seen in your life! There are no words that leave your mouth as your eyes wonder everywhere. You hear chuckle behind you which make you turning around, if nobody would've take you away, you would still be looking around yourself with a drool leaving your tongue.
The man who opened the door kneels in front of you. He gives you a friendly smile "hi, my name is Tony. I'm so glad to finally meet you"
His words make you smile and you shyly play with your dress. "Baby, what do we do when someone is talking to us ?" your Papas asks.
You look up at him and he tilts his head "don't forget the respect we have for others, sweetie. What do we do when someone speak ?"
Answering
You look back at Tony "sank you. 'm happy t' see ya too"
He smiles more at your cuteness "can I give your cheek a kiss ?" You bite the inside of your lips and nod. Nobody except your Daddies and Alpine give you kisses.
He learns over and gives a gentle kiss on your cheek "why don't we go meet the others ?" he asks jumping on his knees "they're dying to see you" he whispers.
Your eyes light up at his words and you quickly nod your head. He stands up and proposes you his hand which you gladly take.
He would'nt have been upset or angry if you didn't took his hand, he would've understand, you two don't know each others so it's normal.
But he's still glad you took his hand with so much excitation and with any hesitations.
Your Daddies smile at each others before following you.
When you enter the next room, it's bigger than the first one. There's little stairs here and there, there's a bar and many little floors who are all connected to the main floor.
You can't take everything in your surrender but that the firsts things you noticed. You spot a group of people near the couches who are laughing together and you suddenly want to laugh with them. You love laughing.
You start walking faster than Tony which doesn't go unoticed by the three men around you.
"Ladies and gentlemen"
All of them turn toward the voice who come from Tony "here is our little star of the night" he points at you, his eyes following his finger. You clench at his hand when you see all their eyes turning to you" He squeezes your hand reassuringly but you don't move. Now you're scared to go to them.
They aren't laughing anymore, they are just looking at you, sweetly yes, but they're looking at you so it kinda stress you.
You feel your Daddy kneeling on the other side of your body, where Tony isn't and grabs your chin "you okay, babydoll ?" he asks, knowing what is happening.
He's surprise it didn't happened earlier to be honest.
You let go of Tony's hand and wraps your arms around your Daddy's neck, your face hiding in his neck when your face touch his flesh. He wraps his arms around you and lifts you up with a little groan.
The others start to stand up and your Papa turns your head so your cheek is against your Daddy's shoulder so your face is facing the others.
One by one, they come to you andpresent themself to you, they either shake your little hand, kiss it or ruffle your hair for others- thanks Scott and Sam.
You became less shy once your Daddy sat down on the couch and started talking with the others. There's a beautiful woman beside you with georgous red hair and the craziest thing is when you look beside her, there's another one! How crazy this world is ?!
She can feel you touching her hair and playing with it but she doesn't say anything to stop you. She kinda like it even tho she's not used to it and she's happy to see you comfortable around her.
She gives you winks and smiles whenever she crosses your gaze making you so happy. You have a friend!
"do you want some water, baby ?" your Papa asks. You nod. He's about to stand up when the lady beside you stand up first "i'll do it!" She doesn't let time at your Papa to answer her as she's already in the kitchen. You giggle at that.
The other red head lady slide closer to you now that the spot is empty and she smiles big at you "hii" she whispers excited. You giggle and smile at her "hi"
"i love your dress!" she whispers again and your smile brighten more. You look down at yourself with red cheeks before looking back up at her "sank you" you whisper "i love your hair"
"thank you so much!!"
"we're gonna be great friends i can feel it!" she squeals at you. You laugh along with her.
~
It's been a few hours now that you're here and you start to get more sleepy. Your chest is against your Daddy's chest as you fight with yourself for not falling asleep. You don't want to fall asleep because you don't want to disrespect them.
Your Daddies could feel how tired you were so they decide to get back home "baby" your Daddy whispers, carressing your back. You hum, your eyes still close "we're gonna go home s we can have a good sleep ?"
You nod your head and feel your Daddy standing up. You wrap yourself around him so you don't fall and you hear your Daddies's friends- your new friends- standing up too.
"you say goodbye, princess ?" Your Papa softly asks in your ear. You pull your head away from your Daddy and looks around you to see everyone looking at you. "bye bye" you say, with tiny eyes and a weak wave of your hand before hiding your face back in your Daddy's neck.
This one chuckle and apologies for you but you hear the others waving him off, saying it was perfectly fine which helped relaxing you more.
You fell asleep after you left the tower and just before entering the car. You opened an eye here and there but nothign too big to fully wake up. You could still feel things around you like when your Daddies carry you, tuck you to bed and cuddle you in a big a warm bed

The Truth Unfolds
Tony stark x daughter!reader
You stand there, frozen in place. Tony Stark, the billionaire, genius, and superhero, is standing on your doorstep. Your mind races—*Why is he here? What does he want?*
He takes off his sunglasses, his eyes scanning your face, as if he's searching for something familiar. "So," he says, almost casually, but there's something in his voice that makes you nervous. "I guess I should have knocked sooner."
You swallow hard, the reality of the moment crashing down on you. "Why...why are you here?" Your voice comes out more uncertain than you wanted.
Tony steps forward, leaning slightly on the doorframe. "I think you already know the answer to that," he says softly, and it's the first time you see the cracks in his otherwise cool, arrogant demeanor. There's something else there—regret? Maybe guilt.
A chill runs down your spine. Could it be? The thought that’s been lurking in the back of your mind ever since you opened the door starts to solidify.
"No," you whisper, shaking your head. "My dad...he died. My mom told me..."
"Yeah," Tony cuts in, his voice lower now, almost pained. "About that. She had her reasons. Good reasons. But... your mom wasn’t entirely honest with you."
You take a step back, your hands trembling slightly. "Are you telling me that you're my...?"
Tony lets out a sigh, running a hand through his messy hair. "Look, I’m not great at this family stuff, alright? But, yeah. I'm your father."
The words hang heavy in the air, and for a moment, the world around you seems to stop. This is the man you’ve seen on TV, in the papers—the Iron Man. And now, he's claiming to be your father.
A whirlwind of emotions sweeps through you. Anger, confusion, betrayal. "Why now? Why didn’t you come sooner?"
Tony’s face hardens for a second, but it quickly fades into something more vulnerable. "It’s...complicated. I didn’t know. Your mom and I—" He pauses, clearly struggling with the weight of his own words. "By the time I found out, things had already spiraled. And... well, I had enemies. A lot of them. I thought you’d be safer without me around."
You feel your hands ball into fists. “That’s it? You thought it would be easier to just stay away? Safer for me to grow up without my father?”
Tony holds up his hands defensively. "Hey, I didn’t say it was the right call. But it was the best one I could make at the time."
Silence stretches between you as you grapple with the reality of the situation. You’ve spent years wondering about your dad, only to find out that he’s been alive this whole time—and he’s Tony freaking Stark.
Finally, you find your voice again. "What do you want from me? Why are you here now?"
Tony’s eyes meet yours, and for the first time since he arrived, he looks vulnerable, almost human. "I’m here because... well, I figured it’s time. I owe you the truth. And maybe... I was hoping we could figure things out together."
You stare at him, unsure of what to say. There’s so much you want to ask, to scream, to understand. But all you manage to say is, "This is insane."
Tony lets out a breathy laugh. "Yeah, kid. Welcome to my world."

UNSPOKEN CONFESSIONS (oneshot)
(SID JENKINS X M! READER)

⋆★ word count : 702
⋆★ warnings : angst!
⋆★ summary : g/n has a crush on sid, and sid is still yearning for michelle. they tell him and he doesn’t know how to respond 😞
⋆★ extra : I wrote this for a request, but I lost it sorry!! (your user was lilyintheglade?)

Sid Jenkins was not the type to notice things, especially when his mind was consumed by thoughts of Michelle. For weeks now, he'd been grappling with the overwhelming crush he had on her, a crush that seemed utterly hopeless given Tony's magnetic presence. But there was one person who had been a constant in his life—G/N.
G/N had been by his side through everything, a quiet yet steady presence. They listened patiently as Sid poured out his heart about Michelle, always offering a sympathetic nod or a few comforting words. Sid had never thought much of it; he was too wrapped up in his own feelings to see what was right in front of him.
Today was no different. Sid sat on the edge of his bed, running a hand through his tousled hair. G/N was perched on the worn-out armchair in the corner, their expression unreadable as they watched him.
“I just don’t get it, G/N,” Sid began, his voice tinged with frustration. “She’s with Tony, and he’s such a... such a dickhead, you know? Why does she even like him? I mean, what do I have to do to get her to notice me?”
G/N sighed softly, looking down at their hands. Sid didn’t notice, too caught up in his own thoughts.
“I just wish... I wish I could be the one she wanted,” Sid continued, his tone wistful. “But it’s like I’m invisible to her.”
The room was silent for a moment, and Sid finally looked over at G/N. There was something different in their eyes, something that made him pause. It was then that G/N spoke, their voice quiet but firm.
“Sid, I need to tell you something,” they began, their words carefully measured. “I’ve been listening to you talk about Michelle for weeks now, and... I get it. I really do. But there’s something you’ve missed.”
Sid frowned slightly, confused. “What do you mean?”
G/N took a deep breath, gathering the courage to say what they’d been holding back for so long. “Sid, I like you. I’ve liked you for a while now, but I didn’t want to say anything because I knew you were so caught up in Michelle. But I can’t keep pretending that it doesn’t hurt to hear you talk about her all the time.”
Sid blinked, completely taken aback. His mind raced, trying to process what G/N had just said. “You... you like me?”
G/N nodded, their gaze steady despite the vulnerability in their voice. “Yeah, I do. And I just needed you to know. I don’t expect anything from you, Sid, but I couldn’t keep it to myself any longer.”
Sid didn’t know what to say. He felt a strange mix of emotions—surprise, confusion, and a pang of guilt. He hadn’t realised how much his words had been affecting G/N, hadn’t even considered that they might have feelings for him. And now, faced with this revelation, he was at a complete loss.
“I... I’m sorry, G/N,” Sid finally managed to say, his voice barely above a whisper. “I didn’t know.”
G/N gave him a small, sad smile. “I know you didn’t. It’s alright, Sid. I just needed you to hear it from me. You don’t have to say anything else.”
Sid wanted to say something, anything that would make this less awkward, less painful. But the truth was, he didn’t know how to react. His heart was still tangled up in thoughts of Michelle, but now there was this new layer of confusion—feelings he hadn’t even begun to sort through.
G/N stood up slowly, giving Sid one last look. “I’m going to head out, give you some space to think. Take care, Sid.”
Sid watched them leave, the door clicking softly behind them. He sat there for a long time, the weight of their words settling heavily on his shoulders. He had a lot to think about, more than he ever had before.
And for the first time in weeks, it wasn’t Michelle who occupied his thoughts, but G/N—the person who had been right in front of him all along.
Sid was left alone, the echoes of unspoken words lingering in the room. For once, he didn’t know what to do next.

—DO NOT GO GENTLE INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT. (2/3)
pairing: natasha romanoff x android!reader
synopsis: a face-to-face with caesar confirms what you are already too afraid to admit, as your days as the mole are numbered.
word count: 2.1k
PART I, PART III

Caesar’s new command kept you on edge, you barely had time to do anything else. It was in your program to obey the instructions you were given, so even if you didn’t want to, your brain—CPU—was calculating the best possible way to kill Natasha. You thought about poisoning her, stabbing her in her sleep, pushing her off a ledge to make it look like an accident. The thought of killing Nat was horrifying, but it was even more horrifying to know that you were perfectly capable of doing it, or that you would not be able to stop yourself once the command has been entered.
You wiped the tears that had been running freely down your cheeks. Looking in the mirror, you saw no flaw, no imperfection, just a hollow shell of your face model staring back at you. You wondered whether whomever your face was modeled after lived a normal life, if they knew of your existence, or were they just trying to get home after a long week of work.
“Baby?”
“Huh?”
“Ibuprofen,” Nat called from the bedroom, “could you grab it from the cabinet, please?”
The last mission she went on left her with a dislocated shoulder. It had since been reset, but she needed painkillers to help with the ache.
“Uh, yeah,” you sniffled and grabbed what she needed. When you returned to the bedroom, she was already looking at you with furrowed eyebrows.
She was silent when you handed her the pill bottle, and when you climbed into bed wordlessly.
“Y/N, I didn’t wanna say anything because I wanted you to feel ready to talk to me about whatever it is, but I’m worried, my love.”
You let out a slow breath, and mustered up the best smile you were able to.
“I’m okay. It’s just, work has been a bit stressful.”
“Really? Has Tony been overworking you? I can tell him to—“
“No, no, Nat, please,” you exhaled sharply, “just let it go. Please.”
A beat of silence passed and you thought she might have decided to drop it when she said. “You’re hurting, and I don’t know how to help you. It hurts me to see you like this.”
You felt the guilt gnawing at the back of your throat, threatening to spill out of your mouth. It was a surprising thing to learn that you could feel guilt (you have been feeling it a lot lately). Caesar must have installed it to make you second-guess disobeying him; another failsafe in case you desert.
“I don’t know if I’m deserving of all this, Nat.”
“What do you mean?”
“This, being Tony’s assistant, this life here, you.” You cried quietly. “I don’t know i-if I deserve all this.”
“Of course you do,” Natasha cooed. She probably thought you were going insane.
Natasha was never one for words, and the repeated opening and closing of her mouth was enough to tell you that she didn’t know what to say. She brought you into her arms, and let you cry quietly against her chest.
You never let her see you cry. There was an unspoken shame that you felt whenever you felt the tears coming, like you didn’t deserve to cry, like it was a privilege reserved only for those with real emotions. But if what you were feeling then, that warm sensation spread across your chest, the safeness of being enveloped in Nat’s embrace as she whispered repeated I love you’s in your ears, if that wasn’t real, nothing else on Earth was. Everything would cease to exist, and life would have no meaning.
Maybe that way you would finally deserve her.
You would learn later that Caesar had managed to get on the Avengers’ radar. It wasn’t hard to tell why; VULCAN is one of the only organizations in the world that manufactured artificial intelligence smart enough to blend into society without compromise.
“Jeez,” Clint laughed, “wonder how many of those are walking around Time Square right now.”
“If I had to guess, it'd be a lot." Tony opened a computer screen. "Which is why I've installed scanners in our metal detectors, looking for abnormally high levels of iron in a body. Could be an indication of synthetic blood. Everyone coming into the Compound will be scanned.”
“People with heart diseases and diabetes could also have high levels of iron,” Vision chimed in.
“Sounds like our accuracy could be off,” Sam noted.
“We don’t know what we’re dealing with yet, or how human-like these things are. This is our best bet right now,” Tony shook his head.
“One thing for sure, though,” Nat said, “we have to find who’s behind this. And when we do, we have to shut those androids down to prevent a national security risk.”
You weren’t in the room when the conversation happened, but you were able to hack into F.R.I.D.A.Y’s memory drive to access the recording of the meeting anyway. You needed to know what they said, even when hearing what Nat suggested broke your heart.

It is believed that the sense of smell is closely tied to memory. It is because the olfactory bulb is directly connected to the hippocampus, the section of the limbic system that processes and stores memory. You remembered the smell of the Factory as soon as you set foot in it. It was your first ever memory since before you opened your eyes; it was a sterilized, and clean smell, too much as if to hide another smell. But once you got to Caesar’s office, though, it was replaced by a softer smell of wood, and lavender.
“FD700-16.” He smiled and beckoned you over to embrace you.
“Hello, Caesar.” You let him wrap his arms around you. “I do believe this is the first time we’ve met.”
Caesar was a man of tall stature, even for his age. Lines like rivers adorned his face, and he sported a mid-length head of grey hair. There was a glint in his blue eyes that you couldn't quite decipher; at first glance, he looked like a gentle older man. You tried to scan your database for his identity, because there was no way his real name was Caesar, but your records were blank.
“But oh, is it? I’ve always been here, even before you were born.” Caesar smiled, a wicked grin. “I’ve always been there, watching over you. You were always meant for greatness, there’s no denying that.”
You swallowed a lump in your throat. “About my new objective—“
“Ah, come, we’ll talk about that later. Come, sit. You are the best model I have created so far.”
“I’ve learned a lot, sire.” You said with a small smile. “Your program has allowed me to learn things, experience emotions. I feel . . . almost human.”
“What have you learned of the files, 16?” You could tell he was growing impatient. “The one you were tasked with retrieving?”
You blinked a few times, surprised he had brushed off your comments so easily. “I’m working on it, sire.”
Caesar let out a low sigh. “Do you know why I started VULCAN? At this point, I had worked for the CIA for years. Espionage was what I excelled at, but I’ve seen how emotion clouded many of my colleague’s judgments. But I couldn’t blame them; our intellect is humanity’s greatest gift, but also our biggest downfall. And in my line of work, it could get you killed, or worse, jeopardize the mission.
I know what you’re thinking, 16. How could jeopardizing a mission be worse than dying? When you believe in something, really believe in something, it becomes bigger than you. It affects everyone involved in it, it’s not just you anymore. That is how humans have become the apex predator; we work as one.”
You took a moment to digest everything Caesar told you. It wasn’t how you saw it, but surprisingly it made sense. “So you founded VULCAN to . . . eliminate human error?”
“Now you’re getting it,” he smiled, but it looked more like a grin, him baring his teeth. “The Red Room had the same idea, but slightly flawed as it relied on human assassins. I want to take that formula and modify it, make it perfect.”
“Perfect,” you mumbled, looking up at him. “Is that what you intended for me?”
Caesar leaned back against his chair. “Perfection is never what we are, 16, but who we have the potential to be.”

You had been in the lab for hours by the time you decided to check the time. You had been working on the same model for a few days, just like Tony wanted you to; a new algorithm to deploy his rockets faster, one that he can do so manually should F.R.I.D.A.Y. had been disconnected from taking damage—a failsafe of a sort. Instead of him having to push a button or speak a command, it would run the program using the synapses in his brain as the command.
You thought you’d do your job properly, as you wouldn’t have a job tomorrow if tonight goes accordingly.
It felt easy listening to Caesar, to heed his command. It went against your program to pretend to live in this fantasy you had with Natasha, that would never come to be anyway.
Happy endings are for humans, not androids.
Caesar was right, and he was all along. He was your maker after all.
Natasha came by to pick you up. You were supposed to go to the rooftop for a picnic with her. After that you’d go back to her room and watch a movie before calling it night, except there would be no movie because by the time you leave the rooftop, Natasha would have been dead.
You had opted for an odorless and tasteless poison that would put her to sleep first so that she wouldn’t feel anything; it would simply cause her heart to go into arrhythmia and stop beating.
Nat brought you flowers when she came into the lab.
New York at night was no less beautiful than a meadow at night; the light of the city resembled a field of fireflies in the dark of the sky. Natasha made sandwiches to share between you, you prepared some strawberries, grapes, and cheese, much easier to slip the poison into—fluid mixing with the juices of the fruit.
You brought a small lantern to light up the space where you would set up your date; it seemed almost beautiful and peaceful.
She gave you a kiss as soon as she sat down. “I love this, babe.”
You flashed a smile back. “Only the best for my best girl.”
There was a hint of a blush on her rosy cheeks. Please don’t eat the strawberries.
“Yelena says she’ll be in town next week, says she misses you. Almost like she only came to visit you.” Nat smiled with a roll of her eyes. “She mentioned something about wanting to go to an art museum. Maybe you guys should go to the Met together.”
“I’d like that,” you said, watching the way she put her chin on her fold knee. “How long is she staying?”
“A week, but she always overstays her welcome anyway.”
“Nat?”
“Hm?”
“Don’t eat the strawberries.”
“Hm? Why?”
“Cause they’re kinda going bad,” you grimaced. “I’m sorry, I was in the lab all day. Forgot to go pick up fresh ones.”
“Really? We bought these like two days ago.”
“Well, they are from Trader Joe’s.”
Your skin jumped when she picked up the fruit, bringing it up to smell it, before taking a small nibble from it.
“You didn’t think it’d be that easy, would you?”
“What?” You blinked.
She spat out the piece she had in her mouth, and set the strawberry down.
“How did you know?” You sighed.
“When you stopped using the main entrance to the Compound, and only used the entrance from the living quarters.” Natasha clenched her jaw. “I should have guessed sooner, but I guess I was too afraid to admit it.”
The loud bang of the door blowing off its hinges left you completely on edge. FBI agents shouting with their guns pointed at you, and soon enough you were entirely surrounded.
Your eyes filled with tears as you looked back at Nat, seeing her without emotion. But you knew her; she was trying really hard.
“I’m sorry, for everything,” you said before deploying a smoke bomb and jumping off the building to your escape.
Natasha sat, slumped on the picnic cloth still with food and her affection spread out. “I know,” she whispered, hoping the night’s wind would carry her words to you.

Random thoughts about Pit Babe the series ep 13:
This is the last episode and what a ride it was. I'm sad we have to say bye to the first Thai BL Omegaverse and every characters from this series. Friday won't be the same.
▪️ Of course, Babe and Charlie are back together. Babe didn't really resented Charlie for making him experienced grief and faking his death. As always, Charlie has always been very lucky with Babe. It must be the power of love. I know I should be disappointed they didn't give them the time to talk about it but it was the last episode and to be honest I'm glad we didn't spend too much time on it. Babe experienced too much sadness and grieves in this series. At least, he didn't have to do it more for Charlie. They are very much in love and happy together and I'm glad for them.
▪️ Babe had his reunion with his father after so many years. He got the chance to express how he felt about this separation. It wasn't my favorite part of the series but it was needed for Babe. I felt like his father appeared too late on the story. It came at the worst possible moment, for me. I wish he was more involved. I can't even understand why he didn't come to Babe when he escaped Tony's place and became a racer. At least, they mended their relationship.
▪️ As for Alan and Jeff, I was really waiting for them to be together in previous episodes and I'm glad in this episode they didn't have to face any hardships. Alan saved his boyfriend and they are happy together. They may be less demonstrative than Charlie and Babe, but what matters is that they are in a loving relationship.
▪️ Winner was still a sore loser. It's funny how his name don't match his personality or actions. He got what he deserves. He was a terrible person. I never had any interest for him. It's not like he never got a chance to be better. Kim tried several time in the series to make him understand that his actions will face consequences and he never listened.
▪️ Tony died! Now, he will never hurt anyone again and all those children are free from his abuse and greed. Kenta is the one who killed him and I think it was the perfect choice. He has been the one who stayed the longest with him and he was brainwashed into believing crumbs of affection (mostly giving him a shelter and not letting him dying alone) was love. He did many bad things in the name of love because he thought he would one day be loved the way he deserved or because he thought he could only do that. This character moved me a lot. I'm glad his free now. It's sad that we didn't get anything after he killed Tony. We don't know what happened to him. Is he taking care of the children? How does he live with the guilt? Is he in contact with Pete?
▪️ Finally, it's time to talk about Way. He wasn't my favorite character but I felt pity for him. In the last two episodes, he tried to redeem himself. He apologizes for his wrongdoing and lies. He actively helped Way and Babe to take down Tony, as well. He also sacrificed his life... and I'm not happy about that. I'm not used to see people dying in BLs. It's mostly the bad guys who are dying because when it's not the case it hurts too much (Yes I'm talking about you History 3: Make Our Days Count. I will never forgive you for the pain!). Way wasn't exactly a good guy but I wanted him to have a real chance to make amends. I wasn't expecting him to die for real. Until the last moment, I thought his death wasn't real and he would appeared. Pete and Way never had a chance to have a relationship. I thought they were supposed to be together. Why?!
The series ended with a positive note because Charlie x Babe, Alan x Jeff and Kim finally being able to compete in a real racing team. However, I'm still feeling a little letdown by what happened to Way, but also about Kenta and Pete in some way. I still consider Pit Babes a really enjoyable series and I had so much fun watching it. It will be a pleasure to watch it again sometimes.
I also hope we'll get to see every actors again in another series, with maybe another pairing because they are all very good and have amazing chemistry. Special mention to Pavel and Nut who know how to be pretty criers. I'm not against any special episode (I know some people don't like them, but I like to stay more in a well-known world with characters I love).
#my thoughts#thai series#thai bl#bl drama#bl series#pit babe bl#pit babe spoilers#pit babe the series#pit babe#random thoughts#We never got Pete x Way!#What about Kenta and Kim?#I'm still shocked about Way's death#Babe spent a lot of time crying. this is me trying - p.p
summary: after the events of endgame, peter and y/n romanoff deal with their own grief together. peter, losing his closest father figure, and y/n, losing her older sister. after dropping her title of an avenger, y/n tries to pull herself back to normal.
peter parker x romanoff reader
empty tin cans of beer were littered across y/n’s room as an attempt to dry the guilt in her flooding mind. the sounds of the city outside her new york apartment were concealed by the aggressive news reports on her tv.
“coming up next on NBC New York, new tributes and memorials of heroes Tony Stark, Natasha Romanoff, and Steve Rogers, Captain America, have been placed in times square. next segment reporter Chris Thompson will be talking with the creators and discussing the importance of these people for saving the world after the bl-“
the tv flashed and turned off, the remote shaking in y/ns hand as she stared at the photo of her beloved sister. she sighs and leans back against the couch and breathes in the cold air from her open window. as she’s busy trying not to get lost in her head, her door beeps and swings open, revealing a more put-together peter.
y/n had no idea how he did it. she tried understanding how he could act so normal after experiencing that. she knew the pain they were both going through, but he was a better actor than she was an actress.
he scans the living room of the apartment, inhaling the scent of beer and taking in the sounds of busy streets. he sighs and starts picking up the cans, throwing them out.
“sorry, don’t worry about those.” y/n’s raspy voice breaks the silence. “i didn’t know you were stopping by.”
“it’s ok.” he says quickly and reassuringly. “sorry i haven’t been by in a few days, i’ve been on patrol a lot. how are you hanging in?”
“wonderfully.” she says, sarcastically, pointing out the scattered mess. she wants to talk about something else, but with everything the pair has been through in such a short time they can’t seem to make time for any other conversations. “you?”
“i’m hanging in there. may’s a lot of help. you can come over anytime, you know that, right?” she keeps her eyes straight, not looking at peter. “honey, i want to help you.”
“peter, i’m going to be fine. they do say time heals all wounds.”
“yeah. how many drinks did you have today again?” he says, slightly more harsh. he brings his hands together, squeezing them as a way of comfort.
“please don’t start this now, really. i’m doing the best i can.”
“i know, and its more than enough. but we need to help each othe-“ she cuts him off.
“shes dead, peter. there’s no helping that. shes dead and i haven’t heard a word from yelena or melina. shes never coming back and im stuck picking up the pieces.” it’s almost like she wanted to say he didn’t understand, but that was wrong and she knew it. peter understood better than anyone.
“you don’t have to do it alone, y/n.” he lowers his voice, almost to a whisper. y/n shakes her head and rubs the back of her neck.
after her death, y/n was left to clean up the mess it left. yelena was m.i.a, there was no point in reaching out to anyone else. there was nothing left to do. nothing anyone can do will unheralded the broken. no one can subtract the guilt out of y/n brain.
guilt was practically eating her inside out. natasha died to bring her back. she died to save the world, and the world couldn’t even save her. if nothing had ever happened to y/n, maybe she could’ve stopped her from traveling back to vormir.
————————————
when y/n was little, before being taken into the red room, she grew up believing a world without her sisters didn’t exist. reality hit like a brick when her ‘father’ willingly gave her up to be a part of an experiment. she realized the truth of the world, and that not everything is pretty colors and a happy family. she reunited with her sister, natasha, after destroying the red room and all of the components, saving the women’s lives inside. natasha is nothing but a hero in her eyes, and never will be anything else. now, to her, natasha was a hero, and never got her chance to be anything else.
the drinking got worse before it got better, and the discovery of new feelings about her situation came to the surface. it seemed that peter losing his strong male figure in his life and y/n losing her best friend brought them together in a way their young, naive minds could’ve never imagined.
natasha claimed to always fight for y/n through life and death. when one wasn’t there, they were killing and rushing for the other.
————————————
one year later.
y/n sat up in her bed, rubbing at her eyes. she shoots peter a message, checking the rest of her notifications.
a clatter is heard from the other room, chairs squeaking against the floor. it couldn’t have been peter, as he would’ve let her know before coming by. in her oversized sweatpants and tank top, y/n gripped onto the knife in her bedside table. she walks carefully, like the weight of a feather on the floor. she creeps out of the hallway, crossing paths with a figure in her main room.
her knife makes a quick move, which the blonde figure dodges and grabs her wrist. she pulls it up as the two make eye contact.
“Привет, my sister.” yelena belova, says clearly with her thick accent reminding y/n.
————————————
a/n: this isn’t my proudest piece tbh but its pretty short. i wanted to get into peters situation and grief a little more but i was kinda struggling with connecting it to the movies, so i decided to cut it short. also sorry if the timing at the end is off i cannot understand it. also sorry if that russian was wrong at the end too LMFAO 🫶

Chapter 88: Time Messed Back
The next morning after dropping JJ and scout around at Roberta’s, making sure to give JJ a big hug and a promise that he’d be right back, Steve made his way back to the compound. Opting to take his bike which rarely got used nowadays, but would be handy in beating any traffic that stood between him and the compound.
Walking inside he instantly bumped into Tony “hey cap, how you doing?” he asked patting Steve on the shoulder.
Steve let out a long sigh “last night was rough… JJ was devasted” he muttered shaking his head, Tony gave him a small sympathetic hum “but I’m ready for today, to get everyone back” Steve says with a determined nod.
“Good, we have a few small adjustments to make on the gauntlet but we should be ready by midday, maybe just before,” Tony says as the two of them walk through the compound corridors.
“good is everyone here?” Steve asks glancing around.
“yeah except for nebula, I think yesterday dragged up a lot about her sister” Tony hummed pushing his hands deep in his pockets.
“understandable… I’ll uh go see the others, make sure they’re okay,” Steve says nodding in the direction of the common room.
“before you go, I have something to show you,” Tony says gesturing for Steve to follow.
Steve follows Tony into one of the smaller labs, watching as Tony walked over to one of the large cabinets opening it up to reveal a brand new Captain America suit inside. Steve’s eyebrows rose in surprise as he took in the new suit. The colouring was darker than his previous suit and he could see how reinforced the Kevlar elements were, especially the fish scale sections across his chest and shoulders.
“I’d started working on it a few years ago, before… you know” Tony says clearing his throat “and I know you’ve retired and everything but this gauntlet we’re making is gonna be different to the one Thanos used and I don’t really know how it’ll handle the power of the stones, so I wanted you to have this just in case… help protect you in case it goes south” he explained.
Steve nodded “thank you Tony, it looks impressive and very protective,” Steve says reaching out to run his fingers over the seams.
“yeah well here’s hoping you won’t need it more than for a Halloween costume” Tony shrugs “I better get back to work, I’ll see you later,” he says giving Steve a small salute before stepping back out of the labs.
Once Steve was alone he pulled the suit out of the cabinet so he could take a closer look. He had to admit it might be his favourite out of them all, with the exception of his stealth suit, he’d always preferred the dark more muted look. It was the necessary step away from his USO show monkey costume he was forced to wear.
Reaching back into the cabinet to grab the helmet something in the corner of his eye caught his attention. Opening up the next cabinet door along his breath caught when he saw the new suit Tony must have been working on for you. Like all your previous suits the colour matched Steve’s, despite being sleek in design it was clearly built for battle, with multiple guards and reinforced plates over the suit. What Steve knew you’d love the most was the intricate design etched into the material, all up the arms and legs were Asgardian knots and swirls, all grouping together to create an intricate knot right over your heart.
Steve couldn’t help but trace his fingers over the patterns, you had confided in him that you felt that you’d stepped away from your Asgardian heritage and the guilt you felt because of that. This suit would have been perfect, it was the best amalgamation between the two worlds possible. He felt a lump growing in his throat as he blinked back the tears, he knew even if this last mission was a success you’d never wear this suit, but maybe it would be enough to show you that you were never far from your heritage.
Taking a step back from the cabinet, steve collected his suit from the side ready to put on “I’ll see you soon Princess” he whispers looking back at your suit before stepping out of the lab.
Just like he promised the gauntlet was ready just before midday, Rocket and Tony put the finishing touches on as everyone bar Nebula gathered in the labs.
“all right, the glove’s ready” Rocket sighs “question is, who’s gonna snap their freakin’ fingers?” he asks glancing up at everyone.
Thor raises his hand and starts walking over “I’ll do it” he mutters.
“excuse me?” Tony asks turning to face him.
“It's okay,” Thor says waving Tony off.
“whoa, whoa, whoa,” Steve says putting his hand out to stop thor.
“stop, stop slow down,” Tony tells him, putting his hand on Thor’s chest.
“Thor just wait,” Steve said calmly, hoping their recent reconciliation wasn’t about to be ruined “we haven’t decided who’s gonna put that on yet”
Thor scoffs lightly “I’m sorry, what, we’re all just sitting around waiting for the right opportunity?”
“we should at least discuss it” Scott reasons.
“look sitting here staring at that thing is not gonna bring everyone back,” Thor says looking around at everyone “I’m the strongest avenger, so this responsibility falls upon me”
“Normally you’re right” Tony reasons.
“it's my duty” Thor states.
“It's not about that, it's not that” Tony shushes him gently.
“stop it! just let me-“ Thor argues pressing back against Tony.
“Thor please” Steve sighs trying to reason with him.
Thor stops his fighting, tears in his eyes as he glances over at Steve and begs “just let me do it… just let me do something good, something right”
“you’ve done that already thor,” Steve tells him gently.
“look it's not just the fact that that glove is channelling enough energy to light up a continent, I’m telling you, you’re in no condition,” Tony says.
“what do you think is coursing through my veins right now?” Thor questions looking back at Tony.
“cheez whiz?” Rhodey offers flatly, making Thor point over at him and Steve give him an unimpressed ‘not helpful’ look.
“lightning” Thor finishes.
“lightning won’t help you pal,” Bruce says from across the lab “it’s gotta be me,” he says, thor shaking his head as he stepped away from Tony “you saw what those stones did to Thanos, they almost killed him… none of you could survive,” Bruce says walking over towards the gauntlet.
“how do we know you will?” Steve questions, watching Bruce carefully.
“we don’t… but the radiations mostly gamma… it’s like… like I was made for this” Bruce mutters.
Steve nods gently “as long as you’re 100% sure you’re okay to do this” he presses.
“I’m sure Steve, there’s no doubt in my mind what I need to do,” Bruce says picking up the gauntlet.
“good to go yeah?” Tony asks walking behind Bruce.
Bruce nods “let's do it”
“Okay remember, everyone Thanos snapped away five years ago you’re just bringing them back to now, today. Don’t change anything in the last five years” Tony says glancing over to Steve as he said the last bit.
“got it” Bruce confirms.
Steve grabs his helmet from the side, pulling it on before tightening the straps on his shield. Everyone else got themselves ready, suiting up and calling on any protection they had.
“Friday do me a favour and activate barn door protocol will ya?” Tony asks as he summons a shield to protect him and Clint.
Steve looked up as large metal covering closed off the entire lab, shutting them in from the outside world.
“Everyone comes home” Bruce mutters as he slowly slides on the gauntlet, the metal expanding to accommodate his large hand.
There was a hum of energy before Bruce crumpled to his knees groaning in pain as electricity shot up his arm.
“take it off! Take it off!” Thor says panicking.
Steve held up his hand to stop Thor, they’d gotten so close they couldn’t just stop now “no wait! Bruce are you okay?” he asked only getting a groan in response.
“talk to me banner” Tony called out.
“I’m okay” Bruce grunted through the pain, his yelling intensifying before he finally managed to snap his fingers, collapsing on the floor soon after.
“Bruce!” Steve shouted rushing over and crouching by his side.
“don’t move him” Tony ordered before spraying cooling gel on Bruce’s arm.
Bruce grips hold of Steve's arm as Tony applies the gel, Steve trying not to wince at the tight grip Bruce had on him.
“did it work” Bruce muttered through the pain.
“we’re not sure, it's okay” Thor reassured him.
Steve continued to make sure Bruce was okay but he was acutely aware of his surrounding, the noise of birds outside suddenly louder, Clint walking over to his vibrating phone. It was all an indication that they’d done it, the confirmation coming though when Clint answered the phone to Laura.
They’d done it.
You were back.
Steve had to go find you. He had to get to Wakanda. You were going to be disorientated and confused. He needed to be there beside you, hold you, tell you it was all okay, everything was okay.
Steve was just making a move to stand up when the room exploded around him and everything went black.
You woke gasping for air, your lungs burnt as if they hadn’t received oxygen in years. Your mouth was dry and it felt like you’d swallowed sand and ash. You pushed yourself up onto all fours and suddenly you started coughing before your stomach flipped and you began retching. It felt like you were suffocating, barely able to breathe, your head screaming in agony.
Through the pain you felt someone put their hand on your back, glancing up you expected to see Steve but you saw Bucky instead, looking down at you in concern. He held back your hair as you emptied the last of your stomach contents, wiping the back of your hand across your mouth as you sat back on your ankles.
“you okay?” Bucky asked gently rubbing your back.
“I dunno” you mutter glancing around “what happened?”
“i-I don’t know… I just remember falling and then I woke back up…” Bucky says shaking his head as he swallowed nervously.
You took a couple of deep breaths as you tried to recall what happened “it was all a blur… I felt strange… and weak… I found- I found Steve and-“ you say glancing around, Steve had been right in front of you, holding you, but now he was gone “where’s steve? where is he?” you mutter beginning to panic.
“I don’t know…” Bucky muttered wrapping his arm around you and pulling you close.
Your chest was heaving as you tried to piece together what happened, only one thing made sense no matter how terrifying it was “he did it… Thanos did it…” you muttered looking up at Bucky, the look on his face telling you that he’d come to the same conclusion to “he snapped us away…”
“How are we back then?” Bucky asks shaking his head.
“i- I don’t know” you whisper.
“Buck! Y/N! there you are!” Sam shouts as he runs through the trees towards you “what happened?”
“We don’t know,” Bucky says as he helps you stand up.
“We need to find everyone, I need to find Steve and- and JJ” you mutter your voice catching as you thought of your tiny baby boy, praying that he was safe wherever Steve was.
You glanced around as you spotted everyone slowly gathering nearby, everyone looking just as lost and disorientated as you. The sound of horns in the distance caught everyone’s attention, turning to look towards the fields where the sound of people approaching increased.
A large group of Wakandan warriors burst through the trees led by Okoye who had a look of shock on her face as she looked at everyone. Her eyes fell on T’Challa and she rushed forward hugging him tightly.
“my king you are back” she wept.
“yes, we are, but we don’t know what happened,” T’challa tells her.
She takes a step back as she looks around at everyone “they managed it, they brought you all back, reversed the snap” she mutters.
“Thanos won then? He snapped half the universe away” Sam says shaking his head.
“yes… the Avengers they’ve been working to undo it all, I wanted to help but I could not leave Wakanda,” Okoye says shaking her head as she looked over at T’Challa.
“where are they?” Bucky asks.
“back in New York” Okoye answers.
“what about JJ?” you ask your voice hoarse.
“he is safe, with his father” Okoye nods letting you breathe out a sigh of relief as you leant back against a nearby tree.
JJ was safe, he hadn’t been one of the ones snapped away, he was safe with Steve back in New York.
“my king it has been so long, we have missed you dearly,” Okoye says turning back to T’challa.
Her phrasing made you frown slightly, looking up and over you could tell how much pure happiness she felt as if she’d been reunited with someone gone for a long time. You felt your stomach churning once more, but you swallowed it down needing confirmation first.
“how long?” you whisper “how long were we gone?” you were praying it was no more than a few weeks, a couple of months at most. Steve wouldn’t have stopped until he got you back, it couldn’t have taken them too long to bring everyone back.
Okoye glances over at you and you see the nervous expression on her face “over five years” she finally said “it's October 2023”
If you hadn’t already been leaning against a tree you would have simply collapsed, you just about held yourself steady as you turned and began to retch once more. You had been gone 5 years, you’d been gone for 5 years of JJ’s life, you’d missed so much. He wouldn’t be your little boy anymore he’d- he’d be 6 by now, at school, running around with his friends.
Bucky was by your side once more holding onto you as you completely broke down. Grieving the years you’d lost, the years that had been cruelly taken away from you by Thanos.
“hey it’s okay, we’re back and everyone’s safe that’s all that matters,” Bucky tells you quietly, letting you weep into his chest.
“but- but- it’s been- I’ve missed-“ you stutter unable to even bring yourself to say it.
“I know, I know and I’m so sorry,” Bucky says with a small sniffle as he pressed a small comforting kiss to the top of your head “I wish I could change it but I can’t and I’m sorry”
You shake your head as you look back up at him, despite the intense anguish you felt you know you couldn’t let Bucky harbour any of the blame for this “no Buck, you have nothing to apologise for”
“I know but-“ he starts but you hold your hand up to stop him.
“nothing” you repeat before taking a deep breath “we need to get home, I need to see JJ and Steve” you breathe out shaking your head, Bucky nodding in agreement “and I swear to god if that big purple bastard isn’t already dead I’ll rip him to shreds” you add with a quiet growl.
Bucky smirks slightly, squeezing your shoulder “there’s the Y/N I know and love”
Bucky helps you back up to your feet, keeping his arm around your waist to keep you steady since your legs still felt like they could give out at any moment. Turning to Okoye you wiped away your tears and held your head as high as you could, even if you wanted to crumble at the sympathetic look on her face.
“will you be able to organise a jet to New York for us?” you ask her your voice still thick with emotion.
“of course, we’ll have one immediately I can-“ Okoye nods before she is interrupted by sparks flying nearby.
Instantly everyone went on guard, weapons raised, you had a fireball ready to go as the circular sparks grew wider. A man you didn’t recognise came into view, stepping through the portal.
“Good I found you, I hope you’ve all had a happy reunion but we need to go,” the man said glancing around at everyone.
“Who are you? what do you want?” Bucky demanded his gun trained on the guy.
The man rolls his eyes with a groan “urgh not this again, I’m Dr Strange”
“yeah we ain’t a phone book, we’re gonna need more than that” Sam states, his two guns also pointed at the stranger.
“hey wait I know them!” you then hear a familiar voice call out behind the stranger.
You frown in confusion before your jaw drops as you watch Peter appear from behind Dr Strange.
“Peter? What the hell are you doing?” you gasp in surprise.
“it’s um- it’s a long story, these aliens appear in New York and um Mr Stark told me to stay on earth but I didn’t so we all ended up fighting Thanos on his home planet” Peter explains gesturing to the others who were slowly walking through the portal to join everyone.
“I am Groot!” Groot calls out quickly running over to the others who seemed equally happy to see the living tree.
With the confirmation that Dr Strange and the others were friendlies, everyone dropped their weapons and fighting stances.
“so what’s happening? You said we needed to go?” Sam asks crossing his arms over his chest.
“yes, the remaining Avengers need our help, they’re currently facing Thanos as we speak, we need to gather reinforcements immediately and join them so they have a chance of winning this battle” Dr Strange explains.
Your stomach dropped at the thought of Steve facing Thanos, not knowing how many reinforcements they already had, or if it was just him and a few others. Your mind then went to JJ wondering whether he was safe and away from harm, or if he was potentially caught in the crossfire.
“They will have every Wakandan warrior fighting beside them” T’Challa agrees, Okoye nodding along with him before calling out to others to organise troops.
“Good I already have Wong gathering all the sorcerors, are there any more allies we could call on?” Dr Strange asks glancing around at everyone.
“Asgardians, I don’t know how many remain but they never shy away from a fight,” you say thinking out loud.
“I believe they have a small army in New Asgard, Norway” Okoye says looking over at you.
“Good I can create a portal to transport you there to rally the troops,” Dr Strange says instantly creating a portal.
As it opens you see a small fishing town ahead of you, a town full of life and you feel a lump in your throat form as you watched your people go about their day.
“do you want me to come with you?” Bucky asks you quietly.
You look back at him, gently shaking your head “no” you say before clearing your throat “I’m okay, I can do this” you nod recalling all the battles of faced with these people before you even arrived on earth, a smile tugging at your lips “it’ll be like old times”
Bucky nods giving you a subtle smile as he steps back away from you to allow you to walk towards the portal. Once you reached it you paused turning back to face your friends, knowing the next time you saw them again it would be on the battlefield, one where maybe not everyone got out of alive.
“see you on the battlefield,” you say before stepping through the portal.
Taking a deep breath your surveyed your surroundings hoping to spot someone you instantly recognised, even if it was just an old guard or warrior you fought beside, but you were coming up empty. Spotting a lady walking out of a nearby store you jog over to ask her where to find Thor.
“excuse me can you tell me where Thor is?” you ask her, not missing the shock on her face as she saw you as if she’d seen a ghost, and you guessed in some way she was.
“he-he- he’s away, I- I thought you were dead” the lady stutters still in shock.
You mutter a curse under your breath “Okay, who else is in charge?” you question.
“Valkyrie, she’s probably in a tavern by now” she explains pointing over to the tavern across the street.
“thank you,” you tell her quickly before running across the street.
As you burst into the tavern, conversations fall silent as everybody turned to look at you. you guessed in normal situations it would be quiet a shock, since you were still dirty and bloodied from battle, your Asgardian armour in place. But you knew that these people believed you to be dead, so the shock was at least doubled.
“This better not be a cruel joke, Thor has gone through enough hell the past years, he does not need a shapeshifting elf causing havoc” a woman growls walking over to you, a long blade appearing in her hand which she promptly pointed at you.
“I promise this is no joke, I truly am Y/N, Daughter of Odin,” you say holding your hands up in surrender.
“I don’t believe you” the woman growls the blade inching towards your neck.
“brother forgive me” you mutter under your breath looking upwards before returning your sights back on the woman in front of you “you need proof, fine… once Loki transformed himself into a snake for Thor to admire before promptly returning back and stabbing Thor” you recount.
The woman blinks a couple of times in shock, taking a small step back, the crowd murmuring around you “you are her… how- how are you alive?” she mutters.
“that is an answer I don’t currently possess, but my brother, my husband and the rest of the Avengers are in danger and they need our help, I need to find Valkyrie and ask her to gather anyone who can fight” you explain looking around.
“I am her,” the Valkyrie says shaking your hand “and I promise you’ll have all of Asgard fighting beside you”
“thank you, I don’t know how long we have to prepare but gather as many as you can,” you tell her glancing around at everyone.
“Korg, start spreading the word, anyone we can spare is to meet us in the town centre,” Valkyrie says to the large rock man behind the bar.
“of course, come on Miek,” Korg says grabbing a worm-like creature and walking out from behind the bar, he pauses by you on his way out “it’s an honour to meet you Y/N, Thor mentioned you a lot,” he says before making his way outside.
You swallow the lump in your throat as you look back over at Valkyrie “how is Thor?” you ask her.
“he’s struggled, losing everyone close to him… he blamed himself for it all” she sighed “but hopefully things are looking up now that you’re back”
You only nodded stiffly swallowing the lump in your throat “let's get ready for battle” you muttered quickly turning and leaving the tavern.
In only a short period of time, an overwhelming number of Asgardians were ready for battle, all gathered in the town centre ready to be transported to New York. You were close to tears as you looked out at the troops, some of which were old retired guards who dug out their old armour. You couldn’t quite believe how many had come out to support and fight beside you against Thanos.
“the troops are ready for your orders,” Valkyrie says from her Pegasus.
You blink a couple of times looking up at her in surprise “they’re your army, not mine” you mutter.
Valkyrie gives you a lopsided smile “I’m merely a general, you, Princess of Asgard, are our leader, we’re all here fighting for you, you can leave Asgard, but Asgard never leaves you”
You take a shaky breath before turning to face your small army “I wish I could tell you what lies ahead, I can’t tell you the number of enemies we shall face, but I can tell you that this is the worst battle you shall every face, but it’s a worthy battle and Valhalla will welcome our fallen with open arms” you tell them, working hard to keep your voice level “however I will not blame anyone who wishes to step away now”
You wait a moment expecting people to disband but they don’t, every single warrior remains, steady as a rock.
“We charge on my mark, and send our enemies to hell” you finish, the army letting out a cheer in response making a smile grow on your face.
You turn, holding your chin high, hand resting on the sword you’d borrowed from the armoury. Preparing yourself for battle as you see the sparks of a portal appear in front of you.
Steve could only hear a loud ringing in his ears as he woke back up with a loud gasp, his eyes wide as he tried to make sense of what had just happened. The ache in his body told him he was still alive, but he didn’t know how long he’d been out or what had even knocked him out.
“that’s my man” he hears Tony say above him.
Blinking a couple of times his vision cleared to see Tony standing above him, before crouching down beside him and holding his shield “you lose this again, I’m keeping it” he states.
Steve groans quickly as he looks around and sees the destruction around him, he couldn’t even recognise where he was, it was all just rubble what happened?” he pants.
“you mess with time it tends to mess back” Tony states with a grave tone, “you’ll see” he mutters as he helps Steve to his feet
Steve swallows nervously, instantly understanding what Tony meant. Thanos was here, he didn’t know how or why, but he was here. Steve swallowed nervously as he took back his shield and strapped it onto his arm. Glancing around he didn’t know where everybody else was, or if they were even okay.
He slowly followed Tony through the rubble knowing that he was about to face off with Thanos once again, this time there were no reinforcements, it was just them. They had to stop Thanos, prevent him from getting the stones and undoing their hard work. This was going to be the last battle Steve ever fought, and he knew deep down he probably wasn’t going to make it home.
He could only pray to every god out there that he could do enough to stop Thanos so that JJ would still be around, and he’d have you, his mom back. Even if it meant losing his father.
Stepping out from the rubble he saw Thor standing there staring off into the distance, following his gaze Steve spotted Thanos in the distance. Sat there, just waiting for him. He was alone but Steve knew the spaceship above was full of his army just waiting to strike.
“what’s he been doing?” Tony asks.
“absolutely nothing” Thor mutters with a small shake of his head.
“Where are the stones?” Steve questions not taking his eyes off Thanos.
“somewhere under all this” Tony sighs gesturing to the destruction all around “all I know is he doesn’t have ‘em”
Steve gives a small nod of the head “so we keep it that way” he states in determination.
“you know it’s a trap right?” Thor mutters.
“yeah…” Tony sighs “I don’t much care”
Thor nods, swallowing nervously “good… just as long as we’re all in agreement”
Thunder and lightning cracked in the sky above, the dark clouds and smoke blocking out the sunlight to the point it seemed like it was nighttime. Steve glances down at thor as lightning travels over his body, Thor’s Asgardian armour appearing alongside his hammer and axe.
“let’s kill him properly this time” Thor states in determination.
The three of them nod in agreement before making their way down towards Thanos. Steve ignored the feeling of dread that settled in his gut as they walked towards Thanos. All he could do was remind himself that currently, you were alive, you were safe, so was JJ. All Steve had to do was kill this Titan and maybe he’d be alive to see you again, but if he died trying then at least he’d die knowing you were safe.
“you could not live with your own failure,” Thanos said as they rounded the corner and faced him “where did that bring you? back to me”
Steve glared at the titan as he approached him face-on, Thor and Tony moving to the side aiming to surround Thanos hoping that attacking him from all angles would give them a better chance.
“I thought that eliminating half of life, the other half would thrive… but you’ve shown me that’s impossible and as long as there are those that remember what was, there will always be those that are unable to accept what can be… they will resist” Thanos states, staring down each avenger.
“yep, we’re all kinds of stubborn” Tony chimes back.
“I’m thankful because now I know what I must do,” Thanos says before standing up and grabbing his helmet from his blade “I will shred this universe down to its last atom, and then with the stones you’ve collected for me, create a new one teeming with life that knows not what it has lost but only what it has been given”
Steve bit back a growl as he gritted his teeth in determination. That was not going to happen. Steve would not let it. He would not stand for countless of innocent lives to be taken away, especially not his son’s. Thor reflected Steve’s thoughts in a hard stare of his own, his weapons teeming with lightning ready to strike.
“a grateful universe” Thanos continues.
“born out of blood” Steve states, fist clenched ready to throw the first punch.
“they’ll never know it… because you won’t be alive to tell them” Thanos states with an evil smirk.
Thor bellows as they all charge, Thor blasts Thanos with lightning and Tony creates a blade with his suit striking downwards at Thanos. Steve throws his shield at Thanos’s head hoping to catch him off guard and allow the others to make a hit. Thanos manages to hit Steve’s shield back towards him, and as Steve runs to grab it he gets hit with the flat of Thanos’ blade sending him crashing back into a pile of rubble.
Steve groaned in pain as he pushes himself back up, it had been years since he’d been in a fight, he was older and more tired and severely out of practice. He just hoped it was enough to stop Thanos. As he stands he watches as Thanos grabs Tony and uses him as a human shield against Thor’s hammer. Running over he flips and manages to kick Thanos in the face, landing back on his feet he raised his shield to deflect the punch that was coming but it wasn’t enough to stop him from flying back once more.
“fuck” Steve muttered under his breath wiping away the blood from his chin before pushing himself back to his feet.
Turning back towards the fight he first spotted Tony unconscious on the ground before spotting Thor pinned down by Thanos. Thanos held Thor’s axe trying to push it into Thor’s chest. Thor was pushing back with all his might but Steve knew it wouldn’t be enough. He considered throwing his shield but he needed something more powerful, it was then that he spotted Thor’s hammer on the ground between him and Thanos.
“time to let the cat out of the bag” Steve muttered thrusting out his hand to summon the hammer.
At first nothing happened, making Steve doubt what he felt all those years ago, but then he felt the tingling in his fingers that spread through the rest of his body like electricity. The hammer then flew straight into Steve’s hand and he wasted no time by immediately throwing it at the back of Thanos’ head, hard enough to knock the Titan off thor. Steve recalled the hammer easily catching and stepping into a fighting stance.
A surge of confidence was felt deep in his bones, the hammer deemed him worthy, he could possess the power of Thor, and he could defeat Thanos and keep his family safe.
Steve started swinging the hammer like he’d seen Thor do many times in the past and ran towards Thanos, swinging the hammer upwards and using it to land an uppercut that sent the titan sprawling. Steve barely waited for Thanos to get to his feet before throwing his shield, Thanos easily hit that away but Steve used that to his advantage, throwing the hammer at the shield to create shockwaves that cause Thanos to stumble. Steve recalled both the hammer and his shield as he launched at Thanos, his knee crashing into the titan's chest pushing him back. Without hesitation steve used both the shield and hammer to land blow after blow against Thanos, not giving Thanos the opportunity to fight back.
He then called on one last trick, summoning lighting and blasting it straight at Thanos, pushing his down and to the floor. He then leapt over, hoping to land the killing blow to Thanos’ head but the titan rolls away in time, grabbing steve around the neck and throwing him to the floor.
Steve gets to his feet in time to dodge out of the way of Thanos’ blade, but he was backed into a corner with no way to escape. He managed to hit Thanos with his shield but was unable to block the next strike, the blade slicing through Steve’s thigh. Steve retaliated by swinging the hammer but Thanos’ blocked the punch sending the hammer flying out of Steve’s hand while also knocking Steve back.
Pushing himself back up he raises his shield as Thanos brings down his blade, which slices into Steve’s shield. Steve’s eyes go wide in shock, something he thought was impossible happened right before his eyes and he suddenly felt more vulnerable. He twists his shield free but Thanos continues to strike, each blow breaking more of steve’s weaked shield away, one blow knocking Steve to his knees. Steve looked down in horror at his broken shield, praying it wasn’t an omen for his future.
He looks back up at Thanos, only barely blocking the next strike which sliced into his arm and sent him crashing back, hitting trees and rubble as he went. Steve tried to push himself up but he couldn’t, he felt weak and like his limbs were made of lead. He just lay there battered and bruise staring up at the sky.
It was at that moment his mind began playing tricks as he could have sworn he heard JJ’s laughter. But it didn’t matter because it gave Steve the strength to carry on, he may be down but he wasn’t out and he wasn’t going to stop now.
Rolling onto his front with a loud groan, he pushed himself slowly to his knees “in all my hears of conquest… violence… slaughter it was never personal… but I’ll tell you now what I’m about to do to your stubborn, annoying little planet… I’m going to enjoy it, very, very much” Thanos says, fueling Steve's determination.
Steve watched as Thanos’ army was beamed down from the ship above, it was much larger than the army they faced in Wakanda, with more terrifying beasts. Steve knew then that he wasn’t going to make it out of here, he’d die on this battlefield. He just hoped that the others, wherever they were, were getting the stones the hell out of here. Steve’s only role to play now was to delay Thanos as long as possible.
So he pushes himself to his feet, gazing down at the large gash on his arm, blood oozing out. With shaking hands he tightened the straps to his shield to keep the wound closed and keep his shield close. It was broken but it would offer some protection. He held his head high as he limped towards the army ready to make his last stand.
The sound of static and a broken voice made him freeze, his heart hammering in his chest as he heard Sam once more “cap, it's Sam. Can you hear me?” Steve raised his hand to his ear to try and get a clearer connection “on your left”
Steve swallowed as he turned around to see sparks behind him which quickly turned into a portal, the kind he’d seen Wong use. Sun streamed in from the portal making it seem like a heavenly glow. Silence fell on the battlefield as three people stepped through the portal, Steve instantly recognised them as T’Challa, Shuri and Okoye. Steve could hardly catch his breath as he saw the T’Challa and asked a silent question ‘were you okay?’ he got his answer from the subtle nod the king gave him.
Sam then soared through the portal and over steve’s head, a laugh escaping Steve’s lips as he saw his friend. Steve watched as more and more portals appeared, allies streaming through all of them. He saw Wakandans, he saw sorcerors, but his breath caught when he saw the Asgardians being led onto the battlefield by you. He bit his lips hard to stop himself from crying as he watched you say something to Valkyrie before walking over towards him.
He wanted to break down, scoop you into his arms and never let you go but he held himself back, now wasn’t the time. Instead, he stood there watching as you stood by his side, hoping all he was feeling was being conveyed in his eyes. Going by the look in your eyes he could tell you heard the message loud and clear, your own feelings echoing back to him. Looking out he surveyed the growing army of allies, his friends and family standing by his side ready to fight against Thanos.
And for the first time in this entire battle, Steve felt hope.
Tony and Thor joined Steve at his side, despite the seriousness of the battle a small smile tugged at Steve’s lips when he saw your eyes widen slightly at Thor’s new appearance, your nose scrunching as you caught a whiff of booze.
Looking back over towards Thanos confidence surged through him as he noticed the wary look on Thanos’ face “Avengers!” Steve called out before summoning Thor’s hammer, sending a wink down towards you as he caught it “assemble”
Upon hearing that you raised your sword and both you and Thor let out a battle cry before everyone charged into battle ready to take Thanos out for good.
The clash of weapons echoed through the battlefield as the two armies met and the true battle commenced. Despite it being years since he fought by your side, you and Steve easily found your rhythm, fighting back to back, your movements in tune with each other as if you were one being.
You’d just frozen one alien before slicing him in half with your sword when Thor landed beside you, swinging his axe. Steve at the same time threw the hammer in a circle knocking down multiple aliens in one go, and you used your powers to create roots that dragged them down into the earth. As the hammer continued its path back to Steve you reached out your free hand and caught it, your eyes met Steve’s a smirk growing on his face when the axe landed in his hand a few seconds later.
“you too?” Thor gasped making both you and Steve look over at him.
You just gave him an innocent shrug of the shoulders, tossing the hammer into the air and catching it. Thor just scowled at you before his attention shifted to Steve, spotting his axe in his hands.
“no, no give me that,” Thor says holding out his hand “you can have the little one” he adds pointing to the hammer in your hand.
Steve arched a brow, while you just rolled your eyes, tossing Steve the hammer once he’d given Thor his axe back. Once thor had his axe back he leapt away to go join the fight elsewhere.
“I see he’s still the same despite the appearance then?” you mutter glancing over at Steve.
Despite the grave battle that raged around Steve laughed and nodded his head “wanna give me a lift?” he asks holding out his hand.
You bite back a smile placing your hand in his, as soon as his fingers wrapped around yours you took off barely giving him a chance to prepare himself. You flew a short distance to where you saw a large group of aliens approaching, Steve squeezing your hand to signal to drop him. You let go of his hand and watched as he landed, bringing the hammer down to the ground, lighting and shockwaves flying and taking out an entire portion of the alien army.
As you flew you spotted Thanos in the distance and your blood instantly boiled. You didn’t even think for a second before you created a giant icicle and sent it hurtling towards him. To your annoyance, he swiped it away with his blade before it could kill him. Landing just a few feet away, you felt your rage coursing through your body, flames dancing between your fingers as you stared him down.
“you took me from my son” you growl, your eyes blazing with fury.
Thanos just studied you “I did what had to be done” he states.
You felt your anger get the better of you letting out a loud bellow of rage as you began pelting him with fireballs. The first few he dodged but when you made the earth grow around his feet he began to struggle. You saw the flicker of fear in his eyes as your fireballs burnt his skin. You were preparing yourself for the killer blow when he raised his arm and pointed it towards you. you heard a bellow as a hoard of aliens swarmed before you, forcing you to retreat.
Steve was closer to the front lines when he heard the loud bellow from the aliens, looking in the direction it came from he spotted you shooting into the sky. He saw you land a short distance away and watched in awe as you slayed enemy after enemy. He’d seen you fight in battles before but this was different, you had an aura around you as you cut down aliens, froze them, burnt them and ripped them to shreds. You looked like the goddess of war.
He watched as a whole legion approached you but they didn’t even get close as you caused a massive sinkhole to appear, swallowing all of them. The screams of the aliens echoed through the battlefield as you suffocated them all. Your chest was heaving as you turned to look over your shoulder at Steve, an unreadable expression on your face.
Steve cleared his throat, blinking away his stupor, raising his shield in time to block an attack. Once he kicked the alien away he looked back to where you stood but you were gone. Steve fought back the intrusive thoughts in his head, trying not to read too much into what that expression on your face could have meant.
“cap!” Clint called into the comms grabbing Steve’s attention “what do you want me to do with this damn thing?”
“get those stones as far away as possible!” Steve shouted as he blocked another attack, using the hammer to hit the alien away.
“No!” Bruce shouted from a short distance away “we need to get ‘em back where they came from”
“no way to get ‘em back, Thanos destroyed the quantum tunnel,” Tony said with a grave tone.
“hold on!” Scott shouted “that wasn’t our only time machine”
Steve turns as he hears the sound of La Cucaracha blasting through the battlefield, he runs to higher ground hoping to spot it “anyone see an ugly brown van out there?” he calls out.
“rude” he hears you mutter behind him.
He quickly turns to see you standing there, his eyes scanning your face as he searched for injuries or for any sign of what was wrong. All he could see was that strange look in your eyes as they darted around surveying the battle, barely looking anywhere for long.
“Are you alright?” he asks quietly, reaching out to take your hand.
Your eyes meet his and he watches you swallow before nodding “yeah” you mutter your voice hoarse but Steve spotted the streak of dried tears through the ash and dust on your face.
“I see it! but you’re not gonna like where it’s parked!” Steve hears Valkyrie call out, stopping him from questioning your further.
“Scott, how long do you need to get that thing working?” Tony asks.
“uh, maybe 10 minutes?” Scott answers.
“get it started, we’ll get the stones to you” Steve orders, glancing back at you and squeezing your hand.
The two of you run back into battle together, you running a couple of steps behind Steve. it wasn’t long until aliens found and attacked you. One hellhound-like creature leapt at you but you used the wind to blow it away, impaling it on a shaft of metal sticking out from the debris. As you continued to fight your sword felt heavier and heavier in your arms with each strike, one alien even managing to knock it out of your hands.
You managed to push the alien back with the wind when blasts from the spaceship above rained down around you. The ground shook making you stumble as you tried to avoid the blasts. Steve was by your side in an instant, his arm wrapped around your waist as he held up his broken shield. You knew it wouldn’t be enough, you needed something bigger, something like the shield you’d created at Camp Leigh all those years ago. You still weren’t entirely sure how you did that but you took a deep breath and held up your hands, the air thickening around you.
“help somebody help!” you heard Peter scream through the comms.
You and Steve exchanged a glance, nodding in agreement as you lowered the shield enough for him to throw the hammer “hey queens heads up!” he shouted.
You rethickened the shields around you as the blasts got more intense, the ground shaking beneath you, making you stumble to keep your footing. You were straining under the intensity of the blasts, a groan escaping as your knees began to buckle. Just as you were about to crumble everything stopped and the battlefield fell silent. You dropped the shield, falling to your knees in exhaustion.
Steve knelt beside you, his arm around your shoulder “are you okay?” he asks.
You take a couple of deep breaths, nodding slowly “yeah… what- what’s going on?” you ask sitting back on your ankles.
Steve helps you to your feet as you both look up to see the spaceship now blasting up into the sky. You both watch in confusion until what appears to be a meteor strike appears through the clouds, blasting straight into the spaceship. You watch as it goes for another pass, completely destroying the ship.
“Who is that?” you mutter in disbelief.
“Carol Danvers, Fury knew her back in the 90s” Steve explains glancing down at you before looking back up at the sky “hey Danvers we need an assist here”
“on it” you hear Carol respond.
“go, they’re gonna need you for backup,” Steve says turning to you, he watches as you swallow nervously before nodding, taking off before he has a chance to say anything about it.
You landed just by Carol and peter as he was handing her the gauntlet “I don’t know how you’re gonna get through all that” he says.
“don’t worry,” Wanda says as she lands next to Carol.
“she’s got help,” Okoye says swinging her spear.
You watch as the rest of the female avengers join you, a small smile playing on your lips when you remember a similar scene from Wakanda. You glance around trying to spot Nat to see if she was thinking the same but you don’t see her, you realise with a start you hadn’t seen her at all yet. Despite desperately wishing differently, you knew deep down in your gut what the reason for her absence was. You swallowed back the wave of emotion trying to turn it into anger, using it to make Thanos pay.
You help blast a path through the army for Carol to fly through, even going as far as creating a large fireball explosion that wiped out a large section in one go. When you saw Thanos running towards Carol you leapt forward, joined by Pepper, Shuri and Hope, the four of you using your powers and weapons to blast Thanos back. The four of you manage to blast him to the ground but he throws his blade towards the time machine causing it to explode the blast throwing you back across the battlefield.
You land with a heavy thud, groaning in pain, Steve was by your side in a flash but you waved him away “no, go after the stones” you tell him “go!” you shout pushing him back with a blast of wind when he hesitated.
You push yourself to your feet, your hand clutching your side. When you pulled it away you saw blood on your hand, glancing down you saw the large gash in your side through your armour. It wasn’t bad enough to kill you but you were weakened, already exhausted from the fight in Wakanda.
Wincing you get to your feet just as you see Thor and Steve working together to try and kill Thanos. They were nearly there when Thanos managed to punch the axe away, head-butting Thor. You watched as he threw Steve over his shoulder and to the ground followed by a direct punch to the face.
“Steve!” you screamed before you could stop yourself, Thanos turned towards you but he didn’t get the chance to attack as Carol swooped in.
Using the distraction you ran over to Steve, falling to your knees beside him, your shaking hands moving to cup his cheeks “no, no, no” you muttered when he lay just a little too limp in your arms.
You pressed your fingers to his pulse, letting out a shaky sigh of relief when you felt his pulse. He was alive, he was okay.
“Steve c’mon sweetheart wake up,” you say trying to rouse him.
After what felt like an eternity his eyes snapped open, wild and panicked before they finally settled on you “oh thank the gods” you muttered crashing your lips down onto his.
“Hey, hey it's okay, I’m okay” Steve mutters wrapping his arms around you, and cradling the back of your head with his hands “what happened? Where- where are the stones?” he asks.
The both of you turn to look towards where Thanos stood, watching on in horror as he raised his hand to click his fingers. There was nothing you could do, the both of you were too weak to get up, you didn’t even think you could summon a fireball. You’d lost, he was about to wipe you all out.
You looked back at each other, tears in your eyes as you held onto each other tightly, whispering I love you’s back and forth to each other. You both flinched as you heard the snap of metal, seconds ticked by and nothing happened.
You look at each other in confusion before glancing back over at Thanos, only now seeing he didn’t have the stones… Tony did.
“no” Steve muttered under his breath.
“And I am Iron Man” Tony gritted through his tears as he snapped his fingers.
You heard a sharp ringing in your ears that made you wince, followed by the sounds of screams echoing in your head before it went silent. Steve helped you to your feet as you both looked around to see your enemy turning into ash around you. You felt a sudden wave of nausea as you watched, knowing this is what happened to you.
Your knees were about to buckle when Steve’s arm wrapped around your waist holding you steady. You glanced up at him, your vision blurry with tears. He pulled you closer, cupping your cheek as he kissed your forehead.
“you’re okay, it’s over we won” he whispered against your skin.
You clung onto his wrist, his forehead pressed against yours as you nodded letting out a choked sob. Hearing someone shift to your side you both looked to see Thanos sitting down before finally turning to dust.
Once he was gone you spotted Tony stumbling before falling to the ground, you patted Steve on the chest to get his attention and nodded in the direction of Tony. You hear Steve mutter under his breath. The both of you limped over towards Tony, the closer you got the more you realised there was nothing that could be done to save him.
Thor came to stand beside you, putting a hand on your shoulder as you watch Pepper talking to Tony, her hand over his arc reactor. Any tears you were holding back broke free when you watched Tony take his last breath and the arc reactor dim. Steve held onto you as you sobbed into his chest, which was shuddering as he failed to hold back his own tears.
The battlefield was silent as everyone slowly began to take the knee to honour Tony, the man that when you first met him was arrogant and snarky, had made plenty of mistakes in the years you have known him, but at the end of the day was the one to save the whole universe.
You weren’t sure how many minutes had passed when everyone slowly got back to their feet. Steve sniffled back some tears, wiping some away as he looked around seeing all the injured and fallen. He looked back down at you, there was nothing he wanted more than to go home and just hold you and JJ, but there was still work to be done.
“We uh-“ he says clearing his throat before trying to speak again “we need to set up a triage, treat any wounded, bring the…” he says unable to find the right word as he glanced at Tony “bring the others home for a proper funeral and ah-“ he tries to continue but he couldn’t, in all the years of fighting he’d never felt so lost.
“Cap” Sam says putting a hand on his shoulder “it's okay, we’ve got this,” he tells him.
“but-“ Steve says going to argue.
“you’ve done enough, we can take over,” Bucky says walking over “both of you go get patched up and get home”
Steve bits his lip nodding, feeling a wave of relief crash over him and a massive weight off his shoulder. Looking back towards Tony he watched as Rhodey helped Pepper to her feet, holding onto her as she took a few steps back and looked over at Steve.
“could- could you take him please Steve?” Pepper choked out.
Steve could only nod, he glanced down at you pressing a shaky kiss to your forehead before leaving you to stand with Thor. Your brother put an arm around your shoulder as you held onto him for support. Steve approached Tony, taking a deep steadying breath as he bent down and lifted Tony.
He kept his focus on putting one foot in front of the other, he tried to keep his face stoic as he carried his fallen friend off the battlefield but he couldn’t stop the tears that slipped down his cheek.
It was over he reminded himself, they’d won but also lost so much.
He spared a glance over his shoulder, seeing you and thor following only a few steps behind him. He’d regained his future with you, and there wouldn’t be a day that he’d be eternally grateful to Tony for giving that to him.
The emotion support group will be taking place in my ask box.
Sharing is caring so please reblog if you enjoyed this and maybe even leave a comment to make my day!

Come Get Your Funky Lovestory-4
Eddie Brock x F !reader
Summary: Y/n gets protective when Peter gets attacked by Venom. Eddie can't help but flirt with Y/n
Credits to Owner. GIF NOT MINE.
"What happened?" I went to visit Peter in his dorm to find him bruised up. He has had a rough week. He has still not made progress with MJ and Ned and two days ago he cried on the call saying how much he misses his Aunt May.
It broke my heart to listen to him cry like that. I have only known him since the civil war that broke out between Tony and Steve where I choked him (it was an accident, he was annoying me with his webs).
I couldn't help but grow a soft spot for the boy ever since I got to know him. I have started to feel protective of him ever since the Mysterio event, the multiverse event, and obviously the fact that I see glimpses of my son Abel in him. He looks at me the same way Abel looked at me. Maybe it's the guilt that I couldn't save my son, which is the reason I feel guilty for not being able to save him. Maybe it is my fault.
"It is not your fault Y/n" I look at him wide-eyed, jaw slacked. How does he know what I am thinking?
"How- what?"
He lightly chuckles at my reaction
"I think I have known you long enough to know you overthink, also because I remember how one time you got shampoo in your eyes and thought you were going to go blind"
I frowned jokingly "You know I was right to worry my eyes were red"
We sat there in comfortable silence when I decided to speak up again
"Tell me Peter who was it"
He looked down at his socked feet biting his lips. Why was he hesitating to tell me? "It was the same parasite you were talking about. He looks very dangerous Y/n, I somehow managed to escape, please stop looking for it."
"Pete, you jumped on a ship to help Tony fight Thanos why are you scared of this alien?"
"Please Y/n it's just the two of us now, no one will come to help us and if something happens to you too I'll not be able to forgive myself" he breaks down crying. I approach him cautiously settling myself on his carpeted floor in front of him.
It truly breaks my heart to see him like this. I take his hands in mine and gently caress them.
"Are you talking about Venom?"
He hesitates before he can answer "Yes Y/nn it is very dangerous I almost died" before he starts panicking I hold him in my embrace trying my best to calm him down.
"Don't worry I'll make sure this Venom gets sent to whatever part of hell it came from" I lean back to wipe his tears. His eyes were bloodshot from crying.
I soon bid him goodbye not before making sure he has something to eat and leave to go to my apartment.
Now, this was getting personal. I need to find Venom before it harms Peter more. As I am lost in my thought I bump into someone in the hallway.
"We should stop meeting like this babe," Eddie said in his husky voice
"Eddie, great I was looking for you" I couldn't stop the growing smile on my face
"Oh, I am honored my lady" he bowed. I chuckled taking his hand.
"Not here let's talk inside" I quickly opened my door and sat down on my sofa Eddie following my lead.
"Ok so you are a journalist"
He nodded his head "And you have beautiful eyes"
"Uh- wha- what" calm down he just said your eyes are beautiful. Not a big deal. He said my eyes are beautiful
"I thought we were stating facts about each other," he said grinning
I chuckled nervously "No I just wanted to ask if you have noticed any strange activity lately"
"What kind of strange activity?"
"Like any reports of a parasite attacking citizens"
Eddie stiffened at my words and straightened his back
"Uh-no why do you ask?" he asked squinting his eyes at me
"I just heard a lot about it at my work and people are scared of it. I thought you would know something about it since it is on news" not a lie you actually heard about Venom sightings at your work.
Eddie shifted uncomfortably in his seat "Not really, but I'll let you know when I do"
I can't help but wonder, Venom has been on news for weeks how come Eddie has not heard about it. "Thanks, Eddie, Cookie?" you asked with a beaming smile
Even though Eddie was terrified at that moment he nodded his head yes. Maybe he knows something. But why won't he tell me?
Wherever you are Venom you are going to pay for hurting my best friend. I'll make sure of it.
A/N: Yes I made slight changes it is ignorable. Hopefully. I know we didn't get much of Eddie here but he will be there in the next part

Pillow Talk
A/N: i will never apologize for being horny on main
AO3 Link
Pairing: Loki x Reader
Word Count: 3.4k
Summary: After an entire day of staring at you in that bikini, Loki is left utterly desperate for release. Good thing he sleeps with a lot of pillows.
Tags: masturbation, phone sex, pillow humping, needy!Loki, pining
Loki shifted on the bed, mashing his face roughly into the satin pillow case. It was nearly dawn, and he hadn’t slept. Even the tiniest hint of sleep had evaded him, and he’d tossed and turned enough to make his muscles ache in protest. With a frustrated growl, he rolled onto his back and pressed the heels of his hands into his eyes until he saw stars. This was never going to work.
He had no one to blame but himself for his insomnia. Really, it was pathetic, the way his mind had latched onto one silly little human and made her the object of his obsession. You with your silky hair and soft eyes, keeping him up until the morning hours. Your melodic voice rang in his eardrums, and every time he closed his eyes, he’d see that perfect skin of yours and wish it was pressed up against--
With a gasp, Loki swiftly brought his hands down to grasp the sheets in agony. He wished he could blame it on the fact that he hadn’t bed anyone in at least a decade, but he knew himself. Celibacy had never been an issue for him in the past; he wasn’t a teenage boy, he could control his needs. But you had him feeling like one all over again. The way he gawked at you like it was his first time seeing a pair of breasts nearly spill out of a way-too-tight tank top, it was downright shameful. You were just so innocent, so pure, and he longed to see that smile collapse into a pout as you whimpered against his lips.
Despite his best efforts, Loki could feel his cock throb in renewed need. It had been begging for release nearly all night, and Loki had successfully ignored it so far. He held steady in his determination in not giving in, but his resolve was slipping. Today has been especially tortuous. Tony and his goddamn insistence that Loki participate in team bonding. A day at the beach, one which Loki spent lounging in the hot sand shielding his eyes from the blinding sun. You had splashed around in the waves with Natasha and bounced around in a bikini that seemed specifically designed to torture Loki. The bottoms had shifted themselves to ride up quite a few times, and Loki had taken pleasure in watching you reach back with slippery fingers to pull them out of your ass.
Loki’s cock throbbed again, almost violently this time. He moaned softly into the open air. The sound was pained, and Loki felt his hand begin to drift towards the string of his pajama bottoms. They were silk, and because Loki had chosen to forgo underwear, the soft material felt like heaven against his swollen erection. Before his fingers could slip inside to where he needed them most, Loki ripped them away in defiance and turned onto his side, tangling the blanket between his legs as he rolled. The pressure of the thick comforter into his crotch made Loki suck in a surprised breath. His hips twitched upward of their own accord and Loki’s eyes fluttered in pleasure.
Loki could feel his will dissolving with every jolt of pleasure that swam up his spin. His mind spun with images of you: you curled up against him, reaching back with your dainty hand to pull him closer to you, encouraging him to grind against your backside. As if he was in a daze, Loki grabbed one of the many pillows adorning his bed and shoved it between his legs. The firmness of the pillow was so much more satisfying than the blanket, and Loki groaned.
It was over, he had accepted defeat. Loki was about to hump his pillow like an animal and it was all your fault. He thought of that wet bikini sticking to your skin, your breasts bouncing as you jogged back up the beach to him and breathed out a “what’s up” like he wasn’t about to cum in his swim trunks just from watching you. As the memories danced through his head, Loki’s hips began to roll in more deliberate motions. With every thrust, his cock pressed up against the soft material of his pants. Loki could feel the pre-cum wetting the silk, but it only served to amplify his pleasure as the damp fabric clung to his skin.
The buzzing of his phone startled Loki out of his fantasies, and he nearly wanted to throw the thing against the wall. Tony would get him a new one, as he always did no matter how many times that Loki had insisted they were unnecessary devices. As much as he wanted to let it ring, Loki had learned that calls at this hour usually meant an unexpected mission, and he’d be back on house arrest if he didn’t answer. Loki reluctantly leaned over to his bedside table to grab the vibrating object, keeping the pillow between his legs. His heart came to a near stop as he saw your name illuminated on the screen.
A few moments passed as Loki stared dry-mouthed at the caller ID, wondering when he had fallen asleep. Because the only explanation for you calling him in the middle of the night was that he was dreaming. Sure, you had texted him the occasional internet video that you thought he’d enjoy, but had never called him. And certainly not at five in the morning. With a hard swallow, Loki hit the “accept call” button and waited.
“Hey, Loki?” Came your tired-sounding voice. It wasn’t as gorgeous when muffled by the phone static, but it gave Loki shivers nonetheless.
“What is this about?” Loki tried to sound as irritated as possible, figuring that would be the proper reaction to receiving a call this early. The truth was that he was elated to hear your voice, and was disgusted by himself. A mortal, making him this weak in the knees, it was absolutely pathetic.
You were silent for a moment. “I’m sorry, I just couldn’t sleep. I-I’m not really sure why I called you, I’m sorry for waking you up. I’ll just--”
“Wait!” Loki burst out before you could end the call. His loud voice echoed back at him in the silent room and he cringed, hoping that no one had heard him. Loki bit his lip anxiously, uncertain of what to say to keep you on the line. “Um, I was awake. I couldn’t sleep either.”
“Oh, I guess that’s good. Well, not really good that you can’t sleep, I mean good that I didn’t wake you.”
Loki chuckled at your awkward ramblings. Norns, you were so cute. “Don’t worry, pet, I know what you meant.” As the words left his lips, Loki’s eyes widened as he realized what he’d just called you. Pet. It had been a slip of the tongue, but it brought forth a whole new round of fantasies. He couldn’t help but imagine about what it would be like to own you, to grab you by your pretty face and push his cock between your lips over and over. Absent-mindedly, Loki began to move his hips against the pillow again. He had to bite down on his tongue to keep from gasping. As quietly as he could manage, he put the call on speaker and set the phone down beside him so he could lie back on his side and resume his earlier activities. Loki knew it was so, so wrong to do this while you were none-the-wiser, but he couldn’t help it. He had been so worked up for so long and now it was like his body had taken over, hell bent on getting the relief it needed.
“So, why couldn’t you sleep?”
“Oh, just lost in my thoughts, I suppose,” Loki said as his eyes fell shut. His voice was the slightest bit strained, the soft drag of his pants against his cock making it hard to focus.
“Yeah, same here.” You sighed into the phone, and Loki heard a bit of rustling as you presumably got more comfortable. “I have trouble sleeping a lot, actually. I guess I just get lonely.”
A heavy weight of guilt sank into Loki’s chest. Here you were, opening yourself up to him, and he was trying to get off to the sound of your voice. He was truly depraved, that was for sure. But fuck, the tired rasp to your voice and the small sighs you let out were sending him sky high. His mind was running wild with fantasies of you under him, you in his lap, you up against the wall as he fucked you into it. Loki fought to sound normal as he responded to you. “I understand. Most beings are very social creatures, we need company to--ah!” A particularly rough thrust of his hips had caught Loki off guard as the mind-numbing pleasure rocketed through his body.
“Are you okay?”
“Yes, pet,” Loki said, panting as he forced his hips to still. “Just stretching.” It was a lame excuse, but Loki was too far gone to come up with anything better. His body quaked as he tried to keep still, like his own muscles were attempting to disobey his brain. Everything in him was screaming out for more. Cum, you need to cum. Once again, Loki was forced to give in as his hips resumed their grinding. The pillow itself was now damp with how much he was leaking, and it felt amazing.
The phone was quiet, and Loki could almost hear how hard you were thinking on the other end. And then: “Loki, are you...masturbating?” Your voice trailed off as you said that word. The sheer embarrassment was evident in your tone, and Loki was almost astounded at how bold you were. Not many humans had the nerve to just up and ask something like that.
Even through the shock of being caught, Loki could not find it in him to be surprised that you had caught on. You had always come across as intelligent to him, it was foolish to think he could fool you with a half-hearted excuse. Still, it was beyond humiliating to have been called out so brazenly. Loki saw no point in denying it; you would not have asked if you weren't sure. “Yes,” he replied, voice cracking as he froze in place for the second time. Despite the embarrassment, Loki’s erection did not not falter. In fact, it seemed that he only got harder. This mortal would be the death of him.
“O-oh!” You seemed surprised, like you hadn’t expected him to come right out with it. “I’m so sorry, I guess I interrupted you, huh? Shit, I’m sorry.” How absurd. Loki was the one shamelessly rubbing himself against a pillow while talking to you, and you were the one apologizing.
Loki found it intriguing that you hadn’t hung up immediately upon learning of his actions. You hadn’t seemed disgusted at all, just apologetic for interrupting his activities. Loki wasn’t sure if your lack of repulsion was what caused it, or if it was simply his need clouding his judgement, but his mouth began to move before he could stop it. “It’s excellent for sleep. I highly recommend it for nights like these.”
There was no sugar coating it; that was a proposition, no matter how poorly disguised it was as simple advice. “Um,” came your faint reply. Loki’s face burned as he pictured the look of horror you were probably wearing at the moment. And then he nearly swallowed his tongue as you spoke again. “Yeah, I tried earlier. Wasn’t really...working.”
A new gush of blood found its way into Loki’s cock at your admission. He couldn’t help but imagine you writhing on your bed, soaked in sweat and your own slick as you tried desperately to get to that crescendo of pleasure. His blush had somehow grown even stronger, and he couldn’t recall the last time he had even blushed at all. This mortal was killing him, you were his executioner and he was begging for you to pull the trigger.
“That’s quite unfortunate,” Loki managed through his reverie. He was still frozen, almost scared to begin his motions again for fear of cumming on the spot. His cock twitched in time with his racing heart, occasionally dripping precum into his pants. Loki was a mess, but he could not bring himself to care in the slightest. All that mattered was the arousal screaming under his skin and your intoxicating voice in his ears.
“Yeah. Sorry, should I go? And let you, y’know, finish?”
Loki racked his brain for an excuse to get you to stay. It was maddening, how quickly you had ruined him. Seduction was one of his many talents, as was manipulation. In the past, he would have had no trouble at all talking someone into his bed and onto his cock, but you were different. Every flirtation died on his lips the moment he was in your presence, and it was all he could do to form complete sentences as you turned his knees to jelly.
After an excruciating period of silence as Loki thought, he finally spoke. “It would be unfair of me to abandon you in favor of pleasuring myself when you cannot do the same.”
This time it was your turn to stay quiet. Loki waited anxiously, half-expecting you to just leave anyway. He had already come to terms with your disinterest in him, you were probably just being polite. But...you had called him. There must have been at least a slight attraction for Loki to have been on your mind after attempting to get yourself off.
“Maybe we could…” There was a tremble to your voice as you trailed off, and Loki held his breath as he waited for you to finish. Whatever your suggestion ended up being, he was ready to enthusiastically agree. Anything that involved you and pleasure was incredibly enticing. “Maybe we don’t have to hang up, then.”
Loki’s eyes went wide. Did you mean…? An involuntary moan fell from his lips as he shivered at the thought. “I would, mm, not be opposed to that idea.” Loki’s body had won over for the final time that night and his hips began to move again. After restraining himself for so long, feeling that delicious friction once again nearly overwhelmed him.
“I don’t really know how to do this,” you said. “I can’t really believe I actually asked you that.”
“Would you like instruction, pet?”
“That might help, yeah.”
Loki began to wonder if he was dead, and this was his version of Valhalla. Whatever the case, he was going to ride this high for as long as he could. Everything else seemed to fade into the distance: the chirping of birds outside as the sun rose, the hum of the traffic down below, all of it meant nothing. It meant nothing because you were on the other side of the phone asking for Loki to tell you how to touch yourself. Loki took a deep breath and tried to get a hold of himself; he needed to let you catch up before he could allow himself to lose control.
“I want you to get undressed, and get comfortable.” That was a simple enough command, Loki figured. If he started slow, maybe he could reign in his pathetic neediness and focus solely on your pleasure.
“Okay, I can do that.” The speaker went quiet as you presumably settled onto your bed and slipped out of your pajamas. “Now what?”
“Touch your breasts,” Loki said. His breathing was heavy, but even as he settled into the role of your instructor. “Rub your fingers across them, tell me how it feels.”
You sighed happily. “It feels really nice. Can you tell me what you’re doing?”
Loki was a bit ashamed to admit that he was currently grinding into a pillow, but figured there was no point in lying. “I’m, uh, I have a pillow between my legs, and I’m rubbing against it.”
A whimper burst from your lips. “Oh, that’s so hot.”
“Is it?” Loki asked hesitantly. He didn’t feel very attractive; slick trousers and sweat coated skin, fighting hard to hold it together.
“Yeah, fuck. Can I touch myself, please?”
Loki wanted to drag it out a bit longer, to tease you, but he couldn’t find it in himself to say no to that pretty voice. Especially when you asked so nicely. “Go ahead, pet. You’re such a good girl.”
There was a faint slick sound, then a drawn out moan. Loki groaned in response, the sound extracting a full body shiver from the god. He had never heard such alluring sounds of pleasure, you were just so far above any other being he had ever met. “That’s it,” he murmured in encouragement.
“Feels so good,” you said, voice growing high pitched. “Shit, I’m not gonna last too long. Ah, fuck. Been needing this all night.”
Loki sucked in a breath and began to thrust with more fervor. His eyes nearly rolled back at the pressure and his thighs squeezed around the pillow. “That’s okay, darling. I, oh--” Loki cut himself off with a strangled moan as his pleasure mounted. “I need to cum, too.”
For a moment, panting and whimpered moans were the only thing coming through the speaker. Loki prayed that you were as close as he was, because the coil tightening in his stomach threatened to snap at any moment. It was all he could do to keep from allowing his release to overtake him before you got yours. “Please, pet. I want to hear you cum,” he ground out as his eyes fell shut.
“So close,” you whined. “Loki, I’m gonna cum.”
He couldn’t help it. Loki’s control disintegrated as he began rutting into the pillow like a wild animal. His hips moved in sharp, quick thrusts, and quiet moans left his lips with every movement. ‘Cum--fuck, mm--cum for me, love.” He was going to cum, he couldn’t stop. He just needed you to finish first.
The phone crackled as you let out a sharp cry of pleasure. Loki listened in a trance, trying to memorize every noise that left your lips as you climaxed. Your sounds spurred him on, and he found himself tipping over the edge, cumming harder than he had in a long time. Pleasure whited out his vision, and Loki could faintly hear himself whining your name in a broken voice. He didn’t get the chance to be embarrassed about the noise; his cock pulsed in dizzying waves of euphoria, spurting out rope after rope of hot cum. It shot into his pants, soaking them all the way through and seeping into the pillow. It wasn’t until the last drop had left his body that he was finally able to stop the groans that had been bubbling up from his throat.
As the pleasure subsided, Loki sagged against the bed and took in the mess he had made. His pants were ruined, no doubt about that. And the pillow? Well, it would most likely need a few good washes. But he felt sated, too relaxed to even care about the cum drying to his thighs.
“Are you still there?”
Fuck, he had almost forgotten that you were still on the phone. “Yes,” he croaked out. “That was…”
“Amazing,” you finished for him. Though you couldn’t see him, Loki nodded in agreement.
The bed suddenly felt very large and very empty after the daze of Loki’s orgasm faded. He found himself wishing that you were here, so he could wrap his arms around that perfect waist and bury his nose in your hair. It was an incredibly foreign feeling; Loki had never been one to cuddle after sex. But then again, everything about you was different. You were special. Loki opened his mouth, ready to invite you to his room, but something stopped him. What if this had been just a spur of the moment thing for you? What if you only saw him as a tool to get yourself off?
“Would it be weird if I came down there?” You asked, startling Loki out of his thoughts. There you went again, calming his anxieties before he even had the chance to feel them.
A relieved grin broke out on his face, and his heart sped up again in excitement. “No, I would very much enjoy that.” And for the first time in a very long time, Loki felt wanted.
