Okay USAmericans, we got a debate coming in less than an hour and a half.

Whether you watch it or not, there's one thing I want you to take away from it: The media is going to be biased as fuck.

They were in 2016.

They were in 2020.

And they have been throughout this entire election cycle.

So bear this in mind. If you want an accurate opinion of what happens at this debate you will need to watch it for yourself and see. Because you will not be able to trust the media or pundits to be impartial. In fact if they hold true to form they are going to judge Kamala Harris's performance much harsher then they will judge Donald Trump's.

This is because the media has decided that Trump is newsworthy and headlines featuring him are more likely to get clicks then other headlines.

The media wants to sell papers/get ad revenue.

It's just one more thing that's gone to hell in this capitalist society.

This is such a first world problem but dammit.

I ended up buying a bunch of fabric for planned cosplays over like the next two years last fall. I buy from small shops a lot of the time, as they have stuff that works well and I knew shit was about to hit the fan. Better to have things to be creative when I can afford them (and lol have access to my own money or be able to earn my own money truly wish I was being hyperbolic)

Since we don’t actually make anything in America, this means I shopped from places in Canada and Europe.

My email today brings me a message from one of the Canadians who is on the verge of closing shop if/when those tariffs go back on in a couple weeks. 90% of her business is American and that tariff- particularly on small orders- is going to make her ability to sell non essentials untenable.

This is about to get so fucking bad and I do not know what the fuck I can even do about it. I am already doing the stupid things I can and it just feels useless and performative and like nothing actually matters and ugh
