Alfred has been to the UK many times, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t gonna be very whiney about it. Except when it comes to your family, who he LOVES. Seriously, he would be so great with your relatives.

Obviously, as a British person himself, this is not out of the ordinary at all. Most likely his S/O would be British, I can’t see him having much of a thing for foreigners anymore.

Frankly, I don’t think Feliciano would have much of a reaction. Him and Arthur are not close, but he’s never had any real animosity for the country. He loves foreigners, where exactly you’re from doesn’t make much difference!

As much as he likes hearing about your country, he is way more excited to show you the sights and sounds of his own.

i will say this tho… the reason why most kpop groups don’t come to europe is because in comparison to maybe the usa, the market for kpop music there is better than in europe and also since companies nowadays are obsessed with making groups international (promoting them in the us basically) they know it’s easy money over there honestly that’s what i think

I am having a hard time articulating this, it seems, but I am always thinking about my Romania's place in the 'family' of the romance-language speakers countries. Romania's identity as a descendant of Rome etc.

How, historically, she always tried to fit in with them, to prove himself, to prove he is a child of the Roman Empire too. How all these years she kept calling herself 'roman', how he never really let go of Ancient Rome and clung to his legacy in a way. And Romania's relations with other descendants of Rome as well...especially France and Italy (I think the french and italian influence on romanians is a pretty interesting topic).

And how all this intertwines with the parts of herself and her people that aren't really roman that he struggled with for a long time. I'd talk more but I am tiredddd

Okay I can’t understand I really can’t understand anymore.

What’s the deal with him?

I hated his rendition of “Imagine” from the bottom of my soul. Yet someone actually thought that it was a good idea to bring Mahmood and make him sing Imagine.

Okay now, granted, I hate “Imagine” from the bottom of my soul so it was already designed to grate me, but… with the voice of Mahmood and his dead expression, as if he really doesn’t want to be there, it was even worse.

And that’s the thing for me. I see everyone seems to like about Mahmood.

And I swear to God, sometimes I wonder if it’s me who is crazy or if it’s simply a matter of tastes.

But tastes need to be about something! Mahmood constantly looks as if he doesn’t even want to be there!!! As if someone dragged him and then he’s just… giving us nothing.

Now granted, these feelings augmented after Brividi because it was one of the worst songs in Eurovision I have ever heard 😂 the lyrics were okay but everything else?? The melody?? What melody, for starters! There was none! NONE.

That song irritated me so much that I started retroactively being annoyed by Mahmood (who, again, was giving us nothing). Where before I saw Soldi as a random song that I didn’t hate but didn’t love either, and attributed all the people liking it to simply having a different taste, it has now become a source of utter incomprehension 😭 I couldn’t see why it got so many points! I couldn’t see how it got so many streams! I find his voice really hard to listen to, but I’d be capable to consider that some people simply like it… well now, after Brividi, and especially after Imagine, I’m convinced that the whole world is lying to themselves and to me.

What do you guys like??

I don’t wanna be a hater, it’s ridiculous to be grated by a musician so much - like, the worst thing an entertainer can do to you is to fail to entertain you, and that’s genuinely not a criminal offence.

I make an exception for John Lennon tho, that guy irritates the life out of me and Imagine genuinely makes me want to stab my eyes out.

But Mahmood is a Eurovision guy, so I want to at least give him a minimum of respect, but damn, I felt personally insulted and disrespected when he came there, and stood with emptiness in his expression and sang GODDAMN IMAGINE.
