one thing that makes me upset about whenevr a mass shooting happens in america, other people from other countries start bragging aout their gun control and yeah we cant just yell at lawmakers and make them make these laws but another thing they dont understand is that, if we voted on these laws, as a country, they probably WOULD pass. even the most gun-happy american cant argue with the most basic of protection (stricter background checks, basically). the thing is, we CANT get a vote on this bs. this shit cant pass not because we as a country dont want it, but because so many of our representatives are funded crazy amounts by the nra, theyre in the nras pocket. we live in fear of gun violence every day and we cant even change that without this extensive, tiring fight for the most basic beginnings of gun control. sounds fucked up, right? thats cause it is.
