Hey, so this is kinda off the wall, but I need to find a roommate but I'm so anxious about it, did you use a certain website? Or like do you have any roommate finding tips?

oh yeah i was super nervous about it too bc of previous bad experiences (with college apartments that were auto-matched), i guess my tips would be from someone whos only done this manually Once:

worth a shot, straight up ask if any of your friends need a roomie. sometimes things line up! didnt for me atm (aside from one friend who said "oh maybe in like 2 years but maybe not")

try and keep in mind that if it doesnt work out its not Forever if that helps you not freak out as much. like, maybe yall stay to the end of the lease and split, or if yall have to split before than eh youre just starting the matching process over again. getting that thru my head helped me lmao

as for websites, yeah there are a ton of specific roommate matching sites you can use, personally I just used facebook and posted in a couple of local groups with a lil thing about myself and I got some matches p quick. I live in a largerish city tho (austin tx) so if you live somewhere smaller there might not be AS big of a pool. facebook as a whole sucks of course but the groups here and there are useful!

I posted both in a more general group and a queer housing group, and i said a lil more about myself in the queer group, but you can also use your post to explicitly or gently filter out ppl you dont wanna live with. personally i did purposefully mention being autistic offhandedly just to hopefully filter out ppl wholl be cunts about that (made a lil comment about "im autistic and a super picky eater, so i wont eat your food lol"), you can explicitly say you dont wanna roomie who has pets/smokes/etc, stuff like that.

(oh, also, if you have a long abandoned facebook acct/need to make a new one, that can sometimes look a lil sus so maybe straight up say "i dont use facebook but i can give you one of my other socials if you want to snoop")

look around the website/group for examples from other people on what to include (max rent, apartment layout prefs, area, whether you already have a place picked out or not and if you'd be willing to apartment hunt w someone, timeframe, etc)

and of course actually say a lil about yourself in the listing. I know thats nerve wracking and all but eh, people wanna have a vague idea of you beforehand. List some of your hobbies/interests, normal boring stuff like that.

talk about how clean you are. and how clean you want your roomie to be. neat freaks and gross ppl may be Incompatible. "i can keep the common area clean but my rooms gonna be a mess" was my thing, and roomie is sameish, which works out!

make a listing, in multiple places if possible, and both see who contacts you and browse other peoples listings. this is defo a time to get over that fear of being the first to say hi! if someone lists a super sweet set up at a good price tho and gets 20 likes dont be surprised if they dont respond lmao, might have a waitlist going

(OH YEAH and if u havent used facebook in 10 years be aware on mobile theres a separate messaging app and you might miss ppl messaging bc of the stupid "pending" tab or whatever. a lotta ppl in the group specifically also commented "messaged!" on posts ig to just say "HEY CHECK THE OTHER STUPID APP IF IT DIDNT GIVE YOU A NOTIF", i found it REALLY easy to miss messages for a bit)

SCAMS EXIST! be cautious, dont just send ppl a "$500 deposit" off the bat, make sure you meet people IN PERSON and preferably talk to whoever you're gonna be renting from (like the leasing office if its an apt complex, or just the landlord) first before signing whatever someone on facebook sends u

as usual meet ppl in person in public places like coffee shops and tell ppl where you're going espec if you're going to look at the rental etc etc, same safety rules for meeting anyone from the internet

if you got any responsible adults in your life (like parents/family/friends who have more experience renting) just talk shit thru w them. maybe they can literally help u look at any contracts if you're not used to reading them, or maybe just chat w them about how shits going so they can just be like "oh yeah that all sounds normal they sound cool" or "YEAH THATS A RED FLAG".

oh yeah, make sure you READ YOUR LEASE. i know we all just Agree To The Terms And Conditions all the time but yeah contracts should be read. even if you dont read every word at least skim it, make sure u read the big things like the money numbers (and stuff like uh. how much notice the apt requires on move out. recently fucked over by that! 🙃). check for extra fees and numbers that are different than discussed. dont just sign whatevers put in front of you!!

think about how much Stuff you have. are you moving out for the first time and have Jack Shit? well, you probs wont have conflicts like "whos couch do we keep?" which is nice. do you currently live on your own and have p much all your own furniture? might be a lil issue if your roomie is also established! just st you gotta work out with your roommate, and if nothing else you could always get a cheap storage locker to set aside shit you dont wanna get rid of til you know its gonna work out long term. if its st important, maybe say it in your listing. personally i noted in my listing "i got a big ass couch i dont wanna get rid of" and my roommate specifically contacted me like "oh yeah the couch is chill" so all twas fine ����

and like. try to talk shit out w your roomie when issues arise instead of letting shit boil over. gotta get good at this myself!

as you know, I went to a live action roleplay last Saturday

here's the short version of what happened

first scene, vampire hunters

I was one of the hunter npcs

we set up the room and got in fighting positions

then we fought against the players

my character died, which is not surprising, but how they died was so funny

there was a fire I had to get away from, but I was standing in a ball of shadow that made me lose orientation

I failed the saving throw, which was just rock paper scissors

and my character just walked against a wall and died

yup XD

next scene, I played a 14 year old ghost girl

I was supposed to just ask a lot of questions, but there was a long conversation between 2 characters and I just didn't really know what to do

but hey, I was told I at least looked cute

then lastly, a short part of me playing my own character who was just passing through

which was cool, but I was nervous and awkward ^^'

my plan is to create a quiet character for myself, so I can get used to everything without getting overwhelmed

I know the ask is about Hogwarts but just me in the Wizarding World in general in here:

My trunk would always have a few pieces of muggle attire, my robes and school clothing, my school books, some money, and a lot of books that I am interested in. Oh, and a 3X3 Rubix Cube.

My sorting would end up with me going to Ravenclaw, with the other possible house being Slytherin.

I would cheer for my house/friends on the Quidditch pitch but not participate as I'm not a sporty person. I would read and hear plenty about the sport though, and maybe take on the role of commentator in my third or forth year if I'm allowed.

My favourite classes would be DADA, Potions and History of Magic, I think.

I don't think I'd stay in Hogwarts over the Christmas holidays, and I also don't think, in normal circumstances, I would either visit my friends house or invite them over.

Additional classes in my third year would have Arithmancy and Ancient Runes, and maybe Care of Magical Creatures, but definitely not Divination.

I'd most definitely would visit Hogsmeade, but my go to would be the bookshop or Honeydukes instead of the Three Broomsticks. I'd probably also want to visit the shrieking shack.

About the ghosts I wouldn't fear them, that's for sure. I think I'd keep my distance for a while before asking them questions about their life, Hogwarts secret places, maybe even help in HW if I was really struggling. I think I'd be very interested in the grey lady bc of her immediate connection to Hogwarts, and the fact that she's probably the oldest ghost in the palace. I'd try and keep away from Peeves and perhaps befriend the House elves. I think if I were ever to see the kitchen or room of requirement (if like the HP books didn't exist), it'd be some ghost/older student I'd befriended telling me. The room of requirement would probably be like a library with a bed in the middle and water and ice-cream or chocolates as snacks.

The kind of student I'd be would be like Hermione, but without the many rule-breaking she does. But, I would not reach out to correct every student without permission, and if someone's struggling I'd probably ask them if the want help after I finish my work.

I'd be a friend just as I am irl, chatty and loud around those I know and rather invisible around those I don't, but not a shy or nervous person. I'd try my absolute best to not make enemies, but would stand up for friends even to the richest, most popular kid; and would not encourage bullying. At the same time, I'd try and make sure my friends weren't doing bad things and would make sure they studied, if I realised my friends were bad and weren't planning on changing, J'd leave them.

I also think I'd become a prefect and maybe head girl, I wouldn't be like Percy, Malfoy or Remus though. I'd be kind and understanding and prevent rule breaking.

I'd probably be a bit judgy tho, tbh. Not like gossip girl but like I have strong opinions and so if someone got on my wrong side I probably wouldn't be the nicest to them. My favourite spot in the castle would be my dormitory, the library, the Forest plus the astronomy tower.

As for my OWLs or NEWTs, I don't think I'd get a D, P, or T in any subject. Maybe an A in Herbology or Transfiguration (although I'd hope for higher).

I'd be in the Dueling Club and the Chess Club.

My future career would probably be writer.

Dating? Umm I'm not into dating, lets talk about spouses though. In the Marauders era James would be my first choice, and Sirius would be next. Not sure which era she falls into, but Bellatrix. And Tom (Not LV, Tom), I'd consider but probably not end up with.

In the Golden Trio era Charlie is like the only choice. Cho is possible, though.

Hello! I just found your blog and I've just fallen in love w/ur art! I've always wanted to have a more paint/textured digital style but I feel like I'm too nervous to experiment with brushes/color. Do you have any tips? Also unsure if this has been asked before but how long does a piece usually take? And do you have and tutorials/artists you recommend!

Thank you so much <3 Sorry for a late answer but I didnt want to rush answering these questions. It got a little bit long and do keep in mind all of these are my opinions and things I figured out on my own so here you go

I'd say my number one tip for painting is to stop blending so much. When I started painting I wanted everything to be blended as much as possible but I find those sharp edges of colors to be way more interesting to look at and help the eye distinguish elements quicker.

If I want a softer transition of colors I will put them next to each other and blend them so I can get the color between them, then paint over the blended portion with that color, try to not make it just a line after line of colors tho

Here you can see the light parts are just a line of darker and darker colors (still I tried to vary the shape a little bit) but the shading on the chest is more varied and I use not only the transitional colors but change the hue a little bit as well so its more interesting to look at. My rule of thumb for the amount of colors I use for transitions is that I think if it's a hard or a soft shadow, if the light is a very contrasting color, you can make bigger jumps between colors and then as you aproach the darkest parts let the hue and lightness change happen slower.

.Also I use a lot and I mean A LOT of blending modes, if it's hard for you to change the hue very suddenly when painting, just paint the thing like it would be in a very soft netural lighting and then throw a bunch of colors and blending modes at it until you like it. I like to go over parts of my paintings with just a random assortments of shapes and colors that look somewhat plesant together and see how it looks with different blending modes, if I like something I will copy the original layer, merge it with the blending layer and do that a couple of times until I like the results. It's hard to explain how to do that properly tho, it's just something I learned how to use effectively by using it contantly.

Also this back and forth of changing things make my painting process a little bit slow, I'd say on avarage it takes me something like 6h to finish one art piece. It very much depends on the flow I have so I try not to get too attached to any piece of painting or colors etc so I dont feel bad when I go back and change things later.

I dont really use tutorials, my brain is very bad at learning by listening or reading, one exception being tb skyen's legends of runterra card reviews videos I know it's weird I dont even like lol and theyre very long but theres a lot of really good art there and him showing how composition works in them really helped me. I also try to collect art I like in my twitter likes and when I start a new piece I will go through them and see what elements inspire me, what painting techniques or color combos are interesting etc. Theres also a bunch of artstation accounts I look at when looking for inpiration, some of them being Aleksander Rostov, Ismail Inceoglu, Julia Zhuravleva and Dominik Mayer

Like for example, the topic about her working comes up again and she just naively said something along the line of "Of course I work so I can provide for myself. I can't just depend on you guys, what if I get used to it and then we break up?" (Even though bunny meant that THEY could be the one to break up with her, of course it's the other way around for the boys. Lmao that'd be fun)

In Ghost of the Past, that last sentence struck me hard. What does JK meant with "Any lingering guilt for what he did to Woo Donghee was long gone as he thought of you." Coz from what I gather, the help that he initially gave were morally correct (lawyers, hospital bills), but the way this was worded out made me think that he may have had a hand on why Donghee tried to kill another inmate? Idk just a theory lol.

SFNJA THE READ OMG and I can promise that we haven't seen the last of Yoora and have not heard the last from Jihoon. Yoora and MC are still technically friends by the time we reach the prologue so one could say they actively keep in touch... sorta

The Yoora hate is strong and valid, I have a one or a few drabbles dedicated to their friendship and how its affected by MC's relationship with the guys, but in short: she's not exactly happy for her, she's far too miserable to be happy for other people

I'd say it's more of a fear she has now. Everytime she's felt any kind of love, it's been ripped from her or paired with double the amount of abuse, so though she's pretty secure in their relationship, the fear is still very much there. Especially as she's growing away from Jungyoon who, despite how shitty he is, is the person that has technical been there for her the longest, she's definitely scared of letting him go since if the guys also go, she'd be totally alone. I'll be vague on how they'd react bc spoilers lol but I will say: varying levels of unhinged

Yes and no? Something inside him kind of snapped when he opened the bathroom door to see her distraught... just like when he saw her at the convention those years ago. (I know you sent this ask before that drabble but I figured I'd explain anyway lol) In that flashback, he sees her ordering herself not to vomit and it somehow kinda worked and he's crazy enough to have remembered that, so he tried ordering her not to and luckily, it kinda worked. Plus, he's deathly afraid of her running away, so part of him was worried she'd sneak out of the bathroom window or something.

Nope, and he was lowkey bummed about it lol! Most of her aggression was released verbally by screaming nonsensically or crying so she was pretty weak with her physical aggression (and she didn't want to hurt him, even though she was pretty pissed)

Oh yeah, it crossed her mind, but even she knows that's not really an option for her. They'd have to do some pretty fucked up things to get her to seriously consider breaking up with them, and she has complicated feelings about that fact

Both Mona and Jungyoon are... odd characters to say the least. Too much and not enough is known about who they are as people, but we'll delve more into that at some point soon
