Watched Black Pearl again today and did some gx pirate au sketches to satisfy the demon inside if me, I am in a constant state of shivering all of me timbers right now.

Can I take a moment to just admire Joshamee Gibbs?

This man must have an INSANE amount of trust in Jack. INSANE.

Jack’s rocking the ship? ROCK THE SHIP WITH HIM!

Jack says to pull off this crazy maneuver? DO IT DO IT RIGHT NOW!

Also the scene where Gibbs is trying to basically keep the peace between the crew and Jack in Dead Man’s Chest— he’s staying calm, carefully words his words so as not to come off as threatening to his Captain (who has mutiny ptsd), and helps to get the crew back on board with the key mission.

And. And. Those moments when Jack has been left behind, and there’s a few seconds where we see that Look on Gibbs’s face— concern, conflict, worry.

He only left Jack behind in BP because Jack said to keep to the Code. He sailed off on the Pearl later for the same reason, but comes back with the crew (I firmly believe Gibbs had a hand in that u can’t change my mind) to Port Royal, just in time to pick up Jack!

And don’t get me started on DMC— when Jack says to abandon ship, and Gibbs knows how those words are tearing Jack apart. He asks “What of the Pearl?”, and you can see it in his eyes he knows this is painful for Jack.

AND IN THE LOCKER. GIBBS LOOKS SO HAPPY TO SEE JACK AGAIN! THE WHOLE CREW IS!!

Who is it Jack goes to, to confirm that he is, indeed, in the Locker? MR. JOSHAMEE GIBBS THAT’S WHO!

Jack: Hesitated for a second because he said wear costumes are for pussy’s until Baki forced him to put on a Tooth fairy outfit whenever he would go outside and he saw little kids trick or treating they would always stare at him saying “Mommy…why does the tooth fairy look like that?” while their mom covers there eyes.

Pickle: A pickle. He even tried to eat himself, and you know how there’s those pickle carnivals people would always try to take pictures with him😭

Katsumi: His Karate uniform 🥋, everyone was looking at him like you serious? Poor baby left his own party.

Jun guevara: A pirate he had got the inspiration from the movie Pirates and the caribbean’s whatever the fuck it’s called😭 he had a eyebatch and those captain hook 🪝 arms. Kids were running away from him💀

Olivia Biscuit: A biscuit, he couldn’t even get through the door because of how wide the biscuit was, he had to watch his back because pickle was chasing him around the whole house trying to get a bite. And I bet it was dry asf like them popeyes biscuits

3.Baki, same thing as Olivia but he was dared to by his brother since he never drinks a blink of an eye he was putting mustard and ketchup on himself and was chasing the wiener dogs instead of them chasing him….

The amount of progress I made since being diagnosed with autism, depression and anxiety. Even if I stopped going to therapy, I feel like the diagnosis (esspecially the autism one) shed so much light on my life, and I was able to makes the world around me (even if just at home) more confortable for myself by understanding myself more and adjusting the way I do things so it's easier on me.

Hmmmmm let's see- the Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children series, obviously, but I also LOVE The Book Thief, American Gods and definetely Warrior Cats (I only read the first arc, so Idk how good's the rest xD)

i literally adore asks like this because i have so many aus and stories but when people tell me a list of their favorites im like ooooh ok i think i can see the sort of dynamic you like the most (at least in my writing) based on the things most of these aus have in common for example most of these feature a gruff, rough around the edges obi-wan --probably tattooed-- coupled with an earnest, pretty boy anakin who obi-wan is a tad unreasonable about. one of them is really into their age difference and the potential power dynamics there. it's probably anakin, but obi-wan is gonna get a lot of pleasure out of it too

YES Lia is determined not to let anyone fear her because of her powers, Ben included. She wants to be equal to them. She never bought into the whole "other and lesser ilkara" thing that other Etherials (including her mother) believe in. There's not really anything else I can say that you haven't already said!!!!

Yeah, Lia is grounded so much when her parents find her.

EDIT: Oh! One thing I wanted to say about this chapter but forgot in my initial response is that the name “Syrena,” specifically spelled with a y, is a reference to Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides which features one of my favorite versions of mermaids ever; one of the mermaids, a central character to the plot, is named Syrena, and she falls in love with a human! So there’s a little reference for you. Some of Lia’s Etherial qualities (sharp teeth, hissing) are inspired by the On Stranger Tides mermaids.
