Collision | Chapter 28
Word Count: 3.0K
Story Description: (Y/N) Uley is back home after being away for four years. Her life is at its first standstill and she is taking this time to find out who she is without school. But she never thought that coming back to the reservation would turn her whole life around. In the midst of secrets and mystery, a man crashes into (Y/N)’s and her life will never be the same.
A/N: okay so i fell in love with the house I used to base the cullen home in Ithaca... all i need is $3 million 😅
<- Previous | Next ->
The time that had passed between (Y/N) debating speaking with Esme and getting on a plane with her and Theo had been less than half a day, and yet it had felt like a week had already gone by. Her energy had been completely drained from both confrontations she’d had that afternoon.
She had learned betrayal from every person she loved and trusted, all at various degrees of hurt. Granted, she should have been used to it. After her own father had disappeared from her life, it seemed everyone else had decided that hurting her would be the norm, and they all had taken perfectly to their task.
The second (Y/N) finally sat on her plane seat realization dawned upon her. She was crossing the country to save the man who had decided her heart wasn’t worth love and care. All because she knew she would never be able to live with herself if she ever treated Carlisle like he had treated her.
The girl wanted to burst out laughing, for fear that if she started crying again, she wouldn’t stop. Well, if she thought much about the situation she was in, she knew she would cry. Instead, she turned her attention to anything but that.
“So, you and Esme, huh,” she whispered toward Theo, nudging her softly with her elbow. “You two seem to have been getting close.”
“Oh, um, w-well, we’ve just been working together,” Theo stammered. “For Carlisle, you know?”
“Right,” (Y/N) grinned. “So, that means that those googly eyes and lingering touches are all part of the plan, right? Good to know. Will I be getting any of that treatment?”
“So, you saw that, huh?”
“It’s not like you were very discreet about it,” she teased. “I’ve also grown to know that look very well.”
(Y/N) knew if Theo could, her face would have grown red already. Although Esme was a few rows in front, there was no doubt she could hear them had they spoken just a decibel higher than they were.
“God, I can’t really lie about that,” the vampire sighed, rubbing her eyes in frustration. “I do. I like her. A lot. Way more than I’ve ever liked someone before.”
“Then why don’t you tell her? It’s not like you have anything to lose.”
“Come on,” she chuckled. “Why would she ever be interested in someone like me? I’m nothing special.”
“Seriously, Theo? You cannot believe that,” (Y/N) said. “Just the fact that you’re an immortal being with powers makes you special enough. And that’s the least interesting thing about you. You’re extremely intelligent, you’re funny, you’re caring—you’re honestly a great catch.”
“Yeah, but so is she. So, what am I bringing to the table?”
“Love, respect, loyalty, kindness… I mean, what else can you ask for, really. It’s not a pageant, Theo. There are no shoes to fill here.”
Only silence came from the vampire as she thought over her friend’s words. Her eyes darted to the pale woman three rows in front of them whose nose was stuck in a book, headphones over her ears. For someone so fearless, who had lived a century and some change, and had faced a multitude of obstacles and dangers, confessing her feelings to someone was the scariest thing she had come across.
“When did you know?” (Y/N) broke Theo out of her thoughts. “That you, uh, well, that you liked girls.”
“Question for the ages, isn’t it?” Theo chuckled softly, thankful to drift her mind away from the brunette a few rows down. “Is it too cliché if I said I always knew?”
“Of course not.”
“Back in my time—and many years after that too— I would have been killed just for looking at a woman for too long,” she said. “After, I would have been locked in a mental asylum and left to rot. If I had not been a vampire, I would have been dead for who I loved a long time ago. “Restricting myself for years made it hard for me to allow myself to feel for another woman,” Theo continued. “Not only did I have to hide the fact that I was a vampire, but I had to deny the most human of feelings. Then again, I haven’t been a human longer than everyone on this plane has been alive. So, yeah, I have always known the kind of person I can love, but I’ve never been allowed the right to.”
A small trickle of tears had started falling down (Y/N)’s right eye, warming her cheek as it did. The only reason she had been judged and chastised over who she loved was because he was a vampire, which had nothing to do with the fact he was a man. She couldn’t fathom having to live avoiding love all out of fear someone who couldn’t stand the sight of it would react.
“Oh, I didn’t mean to make you cry, (Y/N),” Theodora cooed, wiping away the tears with her cold hand. “It’s just how things are. I’m used to it.”
“You shouldn’t be,” (Y/N) sniffled. “How could loving someone be a bad thing? I mean, even Christians should understand that—the bible tells as much. “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.” I just can’t understand why others seem so concerned about everyone’s life but their own.”
“I’m guessing there’s more to the story here than just gay rights, (Y/N),” Theo inquired. “What’s going on?”
“I veered off topic there at the end, didn’t I?” the girl sighed. “Sam and Paul admitted to throwing away your letters. They say it was to protect me, but they just didn’t want me to have any relation to your kind.”
“What?” Theo mused. “Lesbians?”
“Come on,” (Y/N) laughed. “You know what I mean.”
“Your brother was probably doing what he thought was best. It’s his job to protect humans from people like me,” the vampire reasoned. “I’m not saying it was right, nor that you shouldn’t be angry. But it must be hard juggling his sister being around his mortal enemy and being your brother.”
(Y/N) threw her head back in frustration, knowing the viridity of her friend’s words. There wasn’t a right or wrong way to handle things—if there was, she hadn’t read those rules yet. Everyone was simply going around, hoping the decisions they make don’t affect those around them. And if they did, that the damage wasn’t permanent.
Yet, it didn’t alleviate the anger that had built inside her. (Y/N) felt no one trusted her judgment. Even worse, that they didn’t believe her to be capable of making good decisions. It seemed everyone had written her off as a secondary character in her own story—nothing she wanted was the right thing. She hadn’t even been given the choice to be with the man she had grown to love.
Somewhere along the five and a half hours it took to cross the country, (Y/N)’s eyes had drifted shit. When she woke, the plane was landing on the tarmac, and the pilot was welcoming his passengers to Ithaca, New York. From there, it would be a three-hour ride to where Theo believed Carlisle had gone. But Esme thought it would be best to stop by their residence so (Y/N) could have a little rest.
It was the first time (Y/N) had been on that side of the country, and for the first time, she understood the allure of the east coast. Of course, they weren’t exactly situated in the center of New York City. There weren’t the bright lights and grandeur of the big city, but there was a stark contrast to the town she was born and raised in.
As they drove down the streets of Ithaca, (Y/N)’s chest started to wrench. That was the place she would have moved to had Carlisle given her the choice to. She could see herself walking down through the town, she could pinpoint the coffee shop she would frequent before or after work, she could imagine herself taking a weekend stroll through the shops or even the farmer’s market that happened every two Sundays. She could see the life she might’ve had. The life she never would—at least not with him.
The Cullen house in Ithaca was nothing short of magnificent, not that she expected anything less. The first thing she was met with was a big gate leading to an even bigger driveway. Unlike their home in Forks, this one felt like an estate. It truly was an architectural wonder. From the front garden to the stone walls and opulent height, the house was a sight to behold—a four-floor wonder hidden by the trees of Ithaca.
“Carlisle had this built back in the 20s,” Esme commented as she unloaded their bags from the car. “I think it was a year or two after I was turned. But we didn’t live here until after we left Forks for the first time. I think it’s my favorite of all the houses.”
“It’s beautiful,” (Y/N) muttered. “Very different to the house in Forks.”
“Well, it’s kept its old-timey charm,” she chuckled. “There’s a little over seven acres of land, which helps with maintaining the privacy the family needs. I wish we were here in different circumstances. I really think you would like this place.”
As though she could read her mind, Theo was quick to change the topic. “Why don’t you go in and freshen up?” she told (Y/N). “We’ll go and get you some food in the meantime. Still a fan of burgers?”
“Yeah,” the girl smiled weakly. “No onions…”
“And no pickles,” Theo added. “We’ll be right back.”
(Y/N) was left by herself in the house, and she couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed. Everywhere she turned, there was a picture of the family or an award one of them had won at a given point in their lives. There was nowhere she could go where she wouldn’t be reminded of who the house belonged to.
Instead of choosing a room to lie down in, the girl decided to explore. She opened door after door, her eyes running through every surface she could find. Ever room was different, but a perfect example of every single of the Cullens that normally inhabited the house. There was a clear distinction behind every door she opened, there was no way she could mistake who the area belonged to.
But it was the last door she opened that took her aback.
It wasn’t a bedroom, unlike the other ones she’d opened. That one was an office filled from floor to ceiling with books. A beautiful oak desk lived in the middle of the room paired with a black leather office chair. It was undoubtedly Carlisle’s room.
And if there was any doubt that it was the older vampire’s office, a particular picture on the desk only cemented the premise.
She could remember the exact moment the picture had been taken. Three days before her entire life changed. Alice had made sure to document everything about Bella’s birthday, taking picture after picture of anything she could think of. It seemed one of those things had been a moment (Y/N) and Carlisle spent apart from the family. They had only been talking, but that wasn’t what the picture captured. It was the absolute look of love in their shared gaze that stood out from the image. A radiant gleam that had washed over them and seemed to radiate from the still. A beautiful moment frozen in time that seemed like a lifetime ago.
(Y/N) took the frame in her hands as she sat on the floor, running her fingers across the glass as though she could relive that moment with just a single touch. Every emotion surged from deep inside her and erupted in another stream of tears she didn’t want to fall. She had cried more in those last six months than she’d had her entire life. And though she was tired of it, she couldn’t seem to stop.
She wanted the feeling in that photo back. The smile she wore and the glint in her eyes, the glow of being in love and being loved. She wanted to be that happy once more. A part of her would always want that with Carlisle. But there was another side, albeit a small one, that told her life went on and she could have that with someone else.
Suddenly, the ringing of her phone made the frame in her hands stumble to the ground. After seeing that the glass was unharmed, she pulled the device out of her pocket and clicked the green button.
“Hey, you get there okay?”
“Hi, Eden,” she said as she let out a breath of relief. “Yeah. We got here about an hour ago. Just settled into the house. We still have a bit more traveling to do tomorrow.”
“You must be exhausted,” he said. “Have you eaten yet?”
“Uh, my friends went out to get some food, but I’m honestly not that hungry. I’m just tired, you know? And it’s not sleep I need,” the girl sighed. “I just want this to be over with already.”
“Think of it this way: it will only take a couple of days before you can pass the page and get on for the rest of your life. You can do a couple of days, right?”
“I have to,” she chuckled. “I’m already here.”
“You’re stronger than most, (Y/N),” Eden muttered. “You’ll come out of this better than ever.”
“I wish I had your conviction, but I can’t help but wonder if I’m still doing the right thing.”
“Wanna know what I think?”
“More than anything.”
“I think you know you’re doing the right thing, but you’re looking for an excuse to think it isn’t,” he said. “I think you wouldn’t be able to live with yourself if you didn’t help this guy, regardless of what he did to you. Because that’s who you are, and there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s what makes you a great person.”
(Y/N) pulled her knees to her chest as she listened to Arden’s words. He spoke so surely it was as though he had known her all her life. He’d told her what she needed to hear and more. She had shown her there was someone else who had been able to look into her soul. “Thanks, Eden,” she smiled. “You have no idea how much those words mean to me.”
“I’m only saying what I believe,” he said. “I know it might be surprising given how I acted those first couple of months, but after giving myself the chance to get to know you, I can tell you’re an incredible person.”
“You sound so sure,” she chuckled. “We’ve only been properly acquainted for almost a month.”
“Doesn’t take much time to be impressed by you,” Eden admitted. “And I can honestly say that. You’re amazing, (Y/N).”
(Y/N) found it hard to accept the compliment, especially coming from him. His words made her heart hammer against her chest, and her cheeks grew red and warm. She took a moment to think of her next words, thankful that he wasn’t standing before her. And as if by divine intervention, from a distance, she heard the front door open and two voices following behind. “Uh, so, my friends just came back.”
“Oh, yeah, of course. I’ll let you go.”
“Thanks for calling, Eden,” (Y/N) smiled. “I’ll let you know when I get back home.”
“Alright, sounds like a plan,” he said. “Be safe, (Y/N).”
“I will. Bye, Eden.”
With a reciprocated goodbye, (Y/N) put her phone back into her pocket. She wiped away her tears and placed the photo frame back on the desk, making sure nothing looked amiss. Just as she had entered, the girl left the office to join the vampires in the kitchen.
“So, we got you a burger and fries,” Theo said as she pulled the items from the bag onto the kitchen counter. “We also got you some drinks and snacks in case you get hungry during the night.”
“We want to try and be out of here as early as possible tomorrow morning,” Esme added. “But no pressure. You can sleep for as long as you need.”
“Thanks, guys,” (Y/N) smiled. “You didn’t have to do all this. I would have been fine with just the burger.”
“Well, it’s mostly for us,” Theo shrugged. “Made me feel human for a second to go around buying food. Makes me want to go grocery shopping just for fun.”
“It is fun,” Esme chimed. “Granted, we’re not limited to allergies, diets, or money. Could not imagine being a human again and being betrayed by your stomach.”
“Well, as a human that is not betrayed by my stomach, I will agree it can be fun,” the girl chuckled softly. “What’s not as fun is having to feed yourself every day and cook most days.”
“That’s true, I guess,” Theo agreed. “It’s easier when your choices are just whatever wildlife you encounter, and we don’t even have to cook it.”
If either of them noticed that (Y/N) had been crying, they didn’t make any mention of it. Instead, they asked if the burger was good and if she had found a room to rest in for the night. For a moment, the three women weren’t on a stop to save Carlisle. For a split second, it felt like three friends who had decided to take a weekend trip to New York. They were able to talk and laugh about nothing and everything.
They spent the rest of the night in front of the fireplace, dancing around what they would have to do the following day, instead preferring the normalcy of their encounter. Even though Carlisle was still very present in the back of their minds, they allowed themselves that one night just to be friends. They all knew it would most likely be the last time they would be able to be that close.

Chapter 5: Out Of The Woods
You were in your room making your bed when you happened to glance outside to see the night sky. You stopped what you were doing and walked over to the window to admire the view. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky allowing you to see every star in brilliant detail.
Not satisfied with the restricted view your window gave you, you made your way down the stairs and onto the back porch. A smile grew on your face as you looked up at the endless sky, watching the stars twinkle and listening to the sounds of the forest around you.
You sat down on the steps wrapping your arms around your knees as you just stargazed. You were so lost in the stars that you barely noticed Ari coming out to join you. Your only sign was the feeling of warmth that you always felt when he was nearby.
“This is the most beautiful sky I’ve ever seen,” you said as he sat down beside you.
“It is amazing, I don’t think I could ever live in a big city, the light pollution would ruin it all” Ari agreed nodding his head “Did you used to live in the city?”
“No, just close to one, I never really was allowed out much after dark anyway” you admitted with a shrug of your shoulders.
Ari looked over at you sadly, you didn’t speak much of your time before you were taken but whenever you did it was rarely positive. Your parents seemed controlling and psychologically abusive. They kept you so sheltered that you barely knew your own biology. The fact that in the years you were gone they didn’t look for you didn’t sit well with Ari at all. It did spur him on to make sure the life you lived now was full of freedoms and everything else you deserved.
“You know it’ll be a full moon in a couple of days and Sammy said you're more than strong enough to shift now so why don’t you join all of us for a run” Ari suggested as he glanced up at the moon.
“People still do that?” You asked surprised.
“Yeah it's not as common nowadays, like a lot of things where the world has grown more modern, people have less time to do what our ancestors did. Not everyone is free to do it, like emergency services and other essential businesses” Ari explained “If the full moon falls on a weekend then I can’t go on a run because of the bar”
“Guess that makes sense, kinda like the pack thing, people rely on it less because the world is more open,” you said making Ari smile as he nodded his head.
“Exactly like that, so you up for joining us?” Ari smiled nudging your shoulder.
“Yeah sounds like fun, it’ll be nice to stretch my legs and get out, feels like i’m only ever here or at the bar but even that’s rare,” you said as you looked back up at the stars.
“Do you wanna get out more?” Ari asked as he watched your eyes search the stars.
“I dunno, maybe, I feel like getting out and I dunno having a job or something seems like the next logical step but then I know I still get nervous around unknown alphas which is kinda stupid” you sighed shaking your head.
“It's not stupid” Ari interrupted putting his hand on your shoulder getting you to look at him.
“After everything you’ve been through no one would blame you for being wary around Alphas and not wanting to put yourself in an uncomfortable situation. Maybe we can find you a job in admin or something where the only people you’ll have to interact with are people you know and then go from there?” Ari suggested squeezing your shoulder reassuringly making a small smile pull at your lips “And I know for a fact that it’s absolutely something you can do, in the past couple of months I’ve watched as you’ve come out of your shell into this much more confident and amazing woman, the fact that you now so openly trust me when before you ran at the sight of me shows how much you’ve grown” Ari continued, when he looks back over at you he sees tears collecting in the corner of your eyes.
“Shit, I’m sorry I didn’t mean to make you cry, fuck” Ari apologised scolding himself for bringing up your past.
“No, no,” you said grabbing his hand and squeezing it “These are happy tears I promise”
Ari looked back over at you uncertainly “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you, yeah alphas still kinda make me nervous but you’ve made me feel safer than I ever have before in my entire life, you’ve given me freedom and a second chance of life, none of this growth would have been possible without you” you told him a couple of tears rolling down your cheek.
Ari reached out to cup your cheek gently wiping away your tears. The both of you smiled gently when you leaned into his touch. Ari wanted nothing more than to close the distance and kiss you, and unbeknownst to him you wanted the same. Instead, he cleared his throat and let his hand drop from your cheek.
“It’s late we should probably head inside” he said, not really wanting to.
“I know but just another few minutes? Please?” You asked with a small hopeful smile and puppy dog eyes that made Ari want to bend over backwards for you.
“Of course ‘Mega” he smiled.
You smiled back over at him, the pet name he used making your insides feel all warm and mushy. You shuffled closer to him resting your head against his shoulder as you looked up at the sky.
Ari kept his eyes on you the entire time, the stars were pretty but you were spectacular. The feeling of your head resting on his shoulder made his heart skip a beat. Unable to stop himself he nuzzled his nose into your hair breathing in your scent. He felt every worry he had about you, the bar and everything in between melt away and a sense of calm washed over him.
Much more than a few minutes later you lifted your head from Ari’s shoulder. You nodded sleepily as he asked if you were ready to head inside. Ari stood he offered you his hand expecting you to drop it once stood up but you didn’t. You held onto him as you both walked inside and up the stairs. Only dropping your hand once outside your room, just to lean up and kiss his cheek as you said goodnight and slipped into your room.
Ari stood outside your room unsure as to what to do. Part of him wanted to knock on your door, even going as far as raising his hand to do so. The other part of him held him back, reminding him to let you make all the decisions. Flexing the hand you held he turned and walked back to his own room.
A couple of days later was the full moon you’d been waiting for. You could feel the excited energy in the air as everyone arrived. Rachel who normally gave a playful roll of the eyes at the boy's antics was even laughing along with them.
“You ready for the run?” Sammy asked walking over to you.
“I think so, just a little nervous it's been forever since I last shifted” you admitted fiddling with your shirt.
“You’ll be fine it’s like riding a bike you never truly forget” Jake reassured you with a smile.
“It's been years since I’ve done that too” you pointed out with a chuckle.
“Hey, maybe Ari should take you on a little bike ride date through the park” Max grinned earning a slap around the back of the head from Ari.
“What these boneheads are trying to say is that it's a natural part of you, nobody can take it away permanently” Rachel assured you.
“We’ll all head out and shift and give you time and space to do it when you’re ready” Jake offered, everyone nodding in agreement.
You watched as they all headed towards the back door that led out to the porch. As Ari passed you to also leave you reached out and took his hand halting him.
“Do you mind staying?” You asked nervously.
“Yeah of course” he agreed waiting with you as everyone else headed out.
Once they were gone you could hear the howls of your friends outside as they shifted. Looking in their direction Ari could see the hesitancy in your eyes.
“You’ll be fine, just gotta take a couple of deep breaths and let it happen, don’t overthink it” Ari reassured you.
“What if I can’t?” You asked quietly, voice barely above a whisper.
“Then it’s something we’ll work on, you don’t have to come with us tonight and if you want I’ll stay back here with you too” Ari said but you shook your head.
“No, no you go it's fine,” you told him with a smile.
Ari nodded “Okay, but look if it helps I’ll show you” he offered as he took a step back from you dropping your hand.
You watched as he closed his eyes and took a couple of deep breaths. His body begins to change, his shirt melting away and being replaced by dark brown fur. Once fully in his wolf form, he sat down in front of you allowing you to get a good look.
His fur was the same dark brown as his hair, as well as being slightly longer and thicker than the usual wolf. He was already immensely big and muscular but his fun only added to that. Your favourite part though was his eyes, the strikingly light blue a direct contrast to his dark fur.
He stood back up and walked over to you. Brushing his head against your leg making you chuckle. Your hand fell to the top of his head, fingers running through his thick, soft fur. You couldn't help but smile at the blissed-out look on his face as you stroked his head. He went as far as thumping his hind leg when you scratched behind his ear. He nuzzled up into your hand before pulling away slightly to give it a gentle lick.
You watched as he padded out of the cabin to join his friends who you could all hear playing outside. You could feel the pull to go join them, join him so you leant into it. Closing your eyes you took a couple of deep breaths, stretching out your back as you felt something shift.
When you opened your eyes you were no longer at the same height as you were before. You were much lower to the ground, glancing over your shoulder you saw your tail wagging back and forth and you realised you had done it. You let out a victorious yip before stretching out your back and shaking out your fur.
Ari was sat on the back porch watching his friends play with one another. Tackling each other to the ground or chasing each other. The sound of a playful yip behind him made him turn, standing when he saw you in your wolf form trot out of the house.
Ari’s ears instantly perked up and his tail started wagging as he admired your wolf. You were much smaller and skinnier than him, but perfectly streamlined. He could already tell he would struggle to keep up with you when you hit full speed. Your fur looked silky smooth, almost like the moonlight was bouncing off of it.
As you walked over to him you lowered your head bowing in submission to him. Ari tilted his head slightly before walking over and nudging his snout against yours making you raise your head. He could see the surprise in your eyes so he nuzzled against you to reassure you. There was no need for submission here/
You began to wag your tail before jumping away down the stairs to go join his friends. Ari remained stood on the porch watching you run rings around Jake and Max, at one point using Max as a springboard to tackle Jake.
As much as Ari wanted to watch you play and interact with his friends he knew they should start the run soon. Throwing his head back he let out a long howl that made everyone stop and join with him. The sound of your howl perfectly harmonised with the group like it had always been there.
Once he stopped he shook out his fur before jumping down the stairs and beginning the run. You and his friends followed closely behind. He had expected you to stay near the back of the pack but instead, you closely flanked him.
You couldn’t believe how free you felt. Even the moment you escaped didn’t feel like this. You weaved in and out of trees, feeling the wind whip through your fur, whistling past your ears.
You easily matched pace with the rest of the pack but you wanted to go faster. See just what speed you could get up to, but you could feel the unspoken rule to stay behind Ari. You knew that Ari wouldn’t mind if you pushed ahead, he wasn’t like other Alphas. This pack wasn’t like other packs, while they all saw Ari as their unofficial leader, they didn’t care about hierarchy. So you waited until Ari signalled for the pack to break.
Ari glanced over his shoulder and could see you were itching to break away. Wanting to run just with you he let out a short bark and broke away from the pack. He turned to the side you were on nudging you to run faster. He could see the sparkle in your eyes before you darted off.
Ari could tell you were gonna be fast but he was surprised at how quickly you had gotten away from him. He could barely keep up, every time he felt like he was gaining you’d dart between trees making him slam on the breaks so he wouldn’t crash into them.
At one point you had completely disappeared from sight and Ari had no clue where you were or what direction you’d gone in. He slowed down to a trot and lifted his nose into the air to try and track your scent. However he could smell you in every direction he turned, he tried to listen for you, his ear twitching in different directions but he couldn’t work it out.
You were crouched close to the ground as you circled him, making sure to stay out of his line of sight. You slowly began to stalk towards him, keeping yourself low, carefully placing your paws so as not to disturb the leaves. You had to fight the urge to wag your tail as you got closer and closer.
Once you were close enough you pounced using your speed and the element of surprise to tackle Ari to the floor. He let out a huff of surprise at the impact before the two of you play fought on the ground. You stood over Ari playfully snapping at him as he twisted underneath you. He managed to get his paw on your chest pushing you off.
You bounced backwards as he got back to his feet. Your tail was wagging furiously back and forth as you performed a play bow. Ari mirrored you watching happily as you bounced side to side enticing him to play. You were like a like a coiled spring waiting to snap, Ari was just waiting for the perfect moment.
You circled him barking and whining for him to play but he was just watching you. You were mid-bounce when he finally pounced hoping to tackle you, however, your reaction speed was much better than he anticipated and you’d dodged his attack and had taken off again.
This time however you allowed Ari to match pace with you. The two of you nudging each other as you ran. As you broke into a clearing in the woods Ari made his move finally tackling you to the ground. You twisted underneath him but he kept you pinned standing tall over you.
Once you had stopped wiggling underneath him, submitting to him, he dropped his snout down to yours gently nuzzling it against yours. A sentiment you quietly reciprocated, even going as far as licking his face.
He gave you one last nudge before moving off you so you could stand up. As you stood you moved to stand side by side nuzzling your head into the thick fur of his neck. You then let out a large yawn and Ari could tell you were clearly ready for bed. He could hear the sounds of his friends still playing and enjoying the full moon, but he didn’t want to leave your side.
The two of you slowly made your way through the woods back to his cabin. You walked side by side brushing shoulders as you walked. You however slowed down as you approached the cabin. Ari stopped on the porch turning round to see you stood a few meters away. He tilted his head not sure why you had stopped. It was only when you let out a low whine, one he always heard pups give out, one he used to do when he was a pup.
You didn’t want to shift back yet.
So instead of heading inside the cabin Ari moved to the corner of the porch and settled down. He then called you over watching as you pad over and settle down beside him.
Ari watched over you as you fell asleep. He kept watch as his friends came back, growling quietly at them so they wouldn’t wake you. Once they were gone he allowed himself to relax. Especially when you moved in your sleep to lie closer to him. He let out a quiet yawn before gently resting his head on your shoulders and allowing himself to fall asleep.
The first couple of days after the full moon run you could feel the relaxed atmosphere in the cabin. However, a few days later you could feel Ari’s stress levels rising. If he was at home he’d spend the majority of the day in the office, where you could hear him pace back and forth. If he went to the bar he’d come home visibly tired.
Whenever you could sense his stress you felt the urge to do something to help him relax. So you’d make him dinner, leaving the leftovers in the fridge for when he returned late at night. If you woke before him, or before he was back from his morning run you’d make sure there was a cup of coffee waiting for him.
Today he was working away upstairs in his office, he’d been there all day. Not even going out for his morning run. It had gone lunchtime and Ari had yet to come downstairs for lunch. All you could hear was him occasionally pacing back and forth.
Not wanting him to go hungry you made him some lunch and a fresh cup of coffee. When you opened the door you found Ari sat at his desk, elbows resting on the desk hands running through his hair.
“Hey I thought you might be hungry” you said grabbing his attention.
He quickly looked up having not heard you walk in, he looked down at his watch eyebrows raising slightly.
“I didn’t realise the time, thank you” Ari smiled as you put the plate down on his desk.
“Everything okay you looked really stressed when I walked in” you asked him as he started eating.
“Just work stuff, it's fine,” Ari said shaking his head.
“Is it the same work stuff that’s been stressing you out the last few days?” You asked making him raise a brow at you.
“Yeah, just got a problem I’m trying to solve” Ari sighed glancing down at the paperwork on his desk.
“What kind of problem?” You asked him.
“The bar isn’t making enough money, if I don’t find a way to reduce costs and boost sales I’ll have to sell” he explained sitting back in his chair as he looked up at you.
“You can’t sell, you worked so hard on getting that bar,” you said shaking your head at the idea.
Ari gave you a small smile before shrugging his shoulders “I don’t want to but if I don’t do something quick then it might be my only option” He explained.
“Let me help, look over this see if I can find something, you’ve been looking at it for so long that you might be overlooking something” you suggested pointing to the paperwork.
“You don’t have to,” Ari said shaking his head.
“Please Ari, we spoke out finding me something to do maybe this could be it? I’m good at maths too, my parents didn’t let me go out much so I spent a lot of my time doing extra school work” You told him.
Ari sighed sadly at your admission. You were slowly telling him more and more about your past. The more you did the more he hated the way you used to live. The more he wanted to make sure you had the best life possible now.
“Okay, but I won’t blame you if you get bored” Ari said with a lopsided grin making you chuckle.
“Oh I won’t” you smiled grabbing a pencil from the pot on his desk and the paperwork.
Ari smiled as he watched you go sit down on the couch in the corner and start reading through it all. Almost instantly you started circling stuff and making annotations.
Ari continued eating taking a small break as you worked before returning to his work. Doing the things he hadn’t been able to get to yet.
“Have you thought about doing themed nights?” You asked grabbing his attention.
“Themed nights?” He asked as he looked over at you.
“Yeah I can remember my parents telling me how they met at an open mic night, you could do something like that getting local musicians in, or maybe even an omega only night” you suggested.
Ari hummed in thought as he leant back in his chair, rolling his pen between his fingers.
“Is that something you’d be interested in, an Omega only night?” He asked.
“Yeah, I mean I know not all Alpha’s are bad, you, Max and Rachel have shown me that, but I think there’s still a guard that goes up, and to be able to have a safe space to do that and have fun would be appealing to the Omegas in town” you explained making a smile grow on Ari’s face.
“That’s a good idea, i’ll do it, on one condition though” he smiled making your head tilt in question.
“You have to help me organise it,” he said.
“Oh no, I don’t think I’d be good at all that, you’re the expert with all the bar stuff,” you said shaking your head as he stood up from his chair.
“Yeah, but I’m not an omega” he pointed out as he walked over to sit beside you on the couch.
“I can guess at what an omega wants but I wouldn’t know from experience, so getting your insight would be valuable” he explained as you turned to face him “You tell me what needs to happen to make omegas completely comfortable and safe while also having fun, whatever you feel is right because if you feel safe after everything you’ve gone through,” Ari said reaching out to take your hand in his “then other omegas will too”
You bit your lower lip slightly as you gazed down at your hand in his. It looked so tiny compared to his large strong hands, it felt comforting and safe being held by him. Your heart fluttering at his touch. Your gaze meets his, his bright blue eyes shining with reassurance.
“Okay” you agreed.
“So we have a deal?” Ari asked with a lopsided grin.
“We have a deal” you smiled nodding in agreement.
“Great, now I saw you scribbling away so tell me how screwed I am,” Ari said nodding down to the paperwork.
You chuckled gently and shook your head as you grabbed the paperwork “You’re not screwed, I think if the themed nights go well and a couple easy changes are made you’ll be rolling in it in no time” you told him.
“You sound very optimistic” Ari grinned.
“I am” you smiled.
You started explaining all the different things you noticed. Where the margin could be increased and what supplies could be swapped out for cheaper ones. You’d even found deals he could take advantage of so he could get some of the more expensive alcohol for a fraction of the price.
“Wow” Ari muttered sitting back “I have been scouring that for solutions for weeks and you’ve come in and solved it in less than an hour” he said shaking his head in disbelief.
A bashful smile appeared on your face as you looked down at your lap shaking your head.
“Seriously, you’re amazing at this sort of stuff, I hate this side of owning and running a bar, I’d much rather spend my time actually working behind the bar than in the office, if you want you could help me out full time, work at the bar doing this sort of stuff” Ari suggested.
“Really?” You asked glancing over at him.
“Yeah of course, only if you want to though don’t feel like you have to,” Ari said.
“Yeah I want to, you’ll have to show me how to do all of it but yeah I’d love to” you smiled nodding your head.
“Great, I’ll add you onto the payroll” Ari smiled standing back up.
“Oh you don’t have to do that,” you said shaking your head.
“I wouldn’t be a very good boss if I didn’t pay my employees, especially one as important as you” he grinned as he walked back over to his desk.
“I don’t need the money though,” you said shaking your head, Ari’s reminder that you didn’t need to pay rent or anything while you stayed with him fresh in your mind.
“Use it for stuff you want then, treat yourself” Ari smiled as he scribbled something down.
“I haven’t even got a bank account and you should be saving not adding costs” you pointed out.
“We’ll sort that, if you’re working for me then you’re getting paid for it especially when you’re saving my business,” Ari told you.
“Fine but will you let me pay rent or something?” You offered as Ari walked back over to you.
“We can discuss that at a later date” he smirked making you roll your eyes.
“It really is your way or the highway isn’t it” you sighed smiling up at him.
“You know me so well omega” Ari grinned “Now let's go take a break we’ve done some good work and we deserve to relax” he said offering you his hand.
“What are you thinking?” You asked taking his hand and allowing him to pull you to your feet.
“Why don’t we go on little run just the two of us?” Ari suggested a wide grin growing on your face.
“I’d like that a lot” you smiled.
Ari led you down the stairs and out onto the back porch only dropping your hand as he shifted into his wolf form. You chuckled as he leapt down the steps, turning to face you wagging his tail encouraging you to join him. You smile as you shift jumping down the stairs, nuzzling your snout into his scruff.
Ari then trotted away a short distance and called for you to follow. You trotted after him the both of you heading deeper into the forest. Unlike the full moon run, you and Ari took your time strolling through the forest. Your shoulders occasionally brushed each other.
Eventually, Ari led you to a stream that ran through the forest. You wagged your tail in excitement quickly running towards it splashing through the stream. Ari smiled as he watched you play in the stream chasing the splashing water.
You turned spotting Ari watching you on the side of the shore not stepping into the stream. Deciding that wasn’t good enough you turn your back to him kicking your hind legs out towards him, splashing him with water.
He huffed in annoyance giving you a playful snarl as you looked back over at him. You do a play bow inviting him to come play with you. He charged into the stream after you, chasing you through the water.
The two of you continued to play, splashing each other, trying to tackling each other into the water. When you stepped out of the stream you shook your fur out causing water to spray over Ari. He playfully snarls at you before shaking his own fur out and spraying you back.
You huffed in annoyance barging Ari with your shoulder before dashing further into the forest. You heard Ari howl before running after you. You could hear his paws hitting the ground behind you, never getting close enough to actually catch you.
You find a small cave darting inside hoping Ari hadn’t spotted you run inside. You crouch down to keep a low profile, staying silent waiting to see him. You heard leaves rustling and twigs snapping as he approached. He appeared near the entrance of the cave, snout pointed upwards as he tried to sense where you were.
Excitement got the better of you and your tail began to wag, it didn’t create much noise but Ari instantly looked over in your direction. You saw the excitement on his face as he stalked closer to you.
He blocked your escape his tail wagging victoriously as you rolled onto your back. He stood over you as you submitted pawing at his chest. He lowers his head brushing his snout against you.
He then stepped back enough for you to stand up, as you do so a clap of thunder rips through the air. You instantly cowered further into the cave. Ari walked closer to the entrance seeing the heavy rainfall and lightning flash through the sky. As he glanced back at you he saw you pushed as far back into the cave as possible, shaking with fear, tail between your legs.
He padded back over to you nuzzling his snout against you soothingly. He felt you relax slightly but you flinched once more when another clap of thunder rumbles through the air. As you whimpered he rests his head on top of you, gently licking your face to calm you.
Knowing that you’d have to wait the storm out Ari got you to lie down. Once you were settled he lay down beside you resting his head over your shoulders. You shift besides him move closer into his side, feeling his calming woodsy scent wash over you.
As the storm rolled on Ari kept comforting you. Nuzzling his snout against you whenever you’d flinch. Gently licking your fur like his mother would do when he was a pup. As the sky grew darker and the night drew in Ari encouraged you to fall asleep and curled up next to him, his head resting on top of you as you slowly dozed off.
Ari tried to keep himself awake until the storm passed so he could comfort you if and when he needed to. But as he lay so close to you all he could smell was your lavender scent. He felt his entire body completely relaxing as he too fell asleep inside the cave.
When morning broke the storm had passed. Ari was the first to wake, gently getting up and stretching out his back with a wide yawn. He then padded over to the entrance of the cave, looking up to see the bright blue sky, no cloud in sight.
He glanced back over at you, seeing you curled up still fast asleep. He didn’t want to disturb you but he knew you’d most likely be hungry and would be far more comfortable back in the cabin. Walking over he nudged his snout against yours, gently waking you with the occasional lick.
You blinked a couple of times as you woke lifting your head tiredly looking up at Ari. He nudged you again but you dropped your head, rubbing your paws over your face as you tried to get comfortable and fall back asleep. Ari gave you a light warning growl as he nudged you again getting you to stand, you huffed in annoyance snarling slightly to show your displeasure at being woken up.
The two of you slowly made your way back to the cabin. You tiredly leaned against Ari as you walked, Ari didn’t mind though knowing you didn’t sleep well last night. He would just gently encourage you onwards, choosing the easiest route home possible.
Once you got back to the cabin you both shifted back to your human forms. You let out a large yawn as you stretched upwards.
“Are you hungry, we haven’t eaten since lunch yesterday?” Ari asked as he walked into the kitchen.
“No, just tired, I think I should just go lie down,” you said shaking your head.
“You should try and eat something it’ll get your energy levels back up, just toast or something?” Ari pressed gently.
“You can go lie down afterwards I promise” he added when he saw your hesitancy.
“Okay” you yawned moving to sit down at the kitchen table.
“Thank you” Ari smiled as he set about making the both of you some toast.
Once you’d eaten you trudged upstairs to your room to go lie down. Ari cleaned up the plates, making himself a cup of coffee before heading upstairs to his office. Planning on setting in motion some of the changes you suggested.
After a couple hours Ari had yet to hear you resurface. So he carefully and quietly poked his head into your room. He smiled when he sae you fast asleep, hands curled around his shirt that he’d given you on your first day. He doubted it smelt much like him anymore so he made a mental note to leave another out for you.

I remember once you said that when you create Kappa you were around the same age as him but now you are like... 7 or 9 years older than him? (I can't remember and I cannot find the question on you tumblr, maybe I dreamed it haha)
I can't help to notice that your new characters with the Bird boys are older as well (Which I really love btw). Sorry if it"s a little invasive question but, do you find easier yo write characters around the same age as you? If so, have you had any problem with CS because of this? Like, did you ever struggled to think like a 20/19 year old whose brain isn't done cooking yet now that you are older?
If you started creating CS today, how different would it go?
Hope you have a great day! I admire you so much. Sorry for any mistakes. English is not my first language ..
I do like to create characters that are older and it’s cool to have characters closer to my age but I mainly just want to write characters who are adults or young adults.
I feel like a lot of old shows and anime the main characters would be about 15-17 years old and when I became an adult I wanted to see more stories where the characters were allowed to be a bit older and still be main characters who had a lot of growing to do.
Idk it might just be a personal preference thing. But I’ve learned you actually change so so much from age 19-25 so I think it’s interesting to examine characters around that age and also to examine characters who are older because you can still grow and change even in your 40s and 60s.
Nothing wrong with younger characters of course but those are just my random thoughts lol.
And to answer your question, if I were to re-write the story today I think the characters would be the same however there would be general changes in the structure of the story and dialogue just because I’ve grown and changed a lot as a writer.

Mipha x male Hylian s/o
(Non-calamity AU)
Mipha’s feelings for s/o go all the way back to when she was young, having been introduced to him by her childhood friend Link.
“Wow! I’ve never met a Zora before! My name is s/o, what’s yours?”
Being the shy and timid girl she is, Mipha responds to him with a voice barely above a whisper.
“I-it’s nice to meet you s/o. My name is Mipha.”
“Same here Mipha!”
He flashes her a smile that makes the young Zora blush a little before she begins playing tag with him and Link, kicking off a long lasting friendship.
As the years have passed, Mipha and s/o have grown continually closer to the point that they started to see each other as more than just friends.
Mipha of course was the first to realize her feelings, and not knowing what to do, went to her friend Princess Zelda for help.
“I see. While I’m not much of an expert on romance, my advice is to tell s/o how you feel Mipha.”
“B-but what if he doesn’t feel the same way? Revealing my feelings to s/o could ruin our friendship, and I….I could bare it if that happened.”
She says sadly as the Hylian princess places her hand on the Zora girl’s shoulder.
“You’re assuming the worst Mipha. S/o cares about you greatly, and I doubt anything will change that. In fact, I happen to know that he has feelings for you as well.”
Mipha’s eyes widen slightly at this revelation.
“R-really? He does? Are you certain?”
She asks as Zelda nods with a small smile.
“Yes. Link told me that s/o confided in him that he is in love with you. Now that you know this, there isn’t a reason for you not to confess Mipha.”
“H-he loves me?”
The beautiful Zora blushes while holding her hands over her heart.
“Yes, and you love him too don’t you?”
“I…I do! Please excuse me Princess, but I must find s/o. I cannot contain my feelings for him any longer!”
She bids Zelda farewell before rushing off to find s/o, whom she runs into after he finished doing some sword training with Link.
“Hey Mipha! Link and I were just talking about you! There’s uh…something I wanted to say to you.”
“Oh? I was looking for you for the exact same reason s/o. M-may I go first?”
He nods as she looks at him with a flustered expression.
“S/o…you mean a lot to me, and through our time as friends I became developing…feelings for you. What I’m trying to say is that I’m in love with you s/o.”
When she finishes speaking, s/o blushes profusely before moving closer to her.
“Mipha, I love you too! In fact, that’s what I was going to tell you, but you beat me to the punch.”
A brief moment of silence follows as the two lean in and share a kiss as Link smiles at his two close friends finally getting together, thus marking the beginning of their relationship.
Naturally a very sweet and caring girl, Mipha is an amazing girlfriend to s/o, who is equally as great to her.
“How is your day s/o? Did you sleep alright? Have you eaten enough? Is your family doing well?”
She bombards him with questions thanks to her motherly nature when it comes to those she cares about, which s/o finds quite adorable.
“Yes, to everything Mipha. How about you?”
“My answers are the same as yours s/o, thank you for asking.”
Needless to say Mipha and s/o have a very cute and wholesome relationship, which Princess Zelda secretly gushes about to Link, who she has recently gotten into a relationship with thanks to some help from her two friends.
Despite s/o being a careful person who rarely does anything reckless, he still gets hurt on occasion, to which Mipha wastes no time healing his wounds.
“Ahh, that feels so much better. Thanks for taking care of my injuries Mipha.”
“Of course. I will always tend to your wounds whenever you get hurt. Just promise me you’ll be more careful s/o.”
Jealousy does exist between the two, but it’s never anything major.
Due to being different races, Mipha and s/o often worry about their significant other finding another Zora/Hylian they like better.
Luckily, they always communicate these fears to each other, leading to constant reassurance.
“Mipha, I love you for you, and I would never leave you anyone. My heart is yours, and it always will be.”
He says while gently taking her hands into his as she smiles softly at him.
“T-thank you my dear. You never have to worry about me doing such a thing either. The only person I want by my side is you.”
Dates can take place anywhere, but Mipha’s and s/o’s favorite location is Lake Hylia, where they often take a late night swim together.
“This is nice. The way the moonlight shines on the water is a beautiful sight isn’t it s/o?”
“Yeah, but it pales in comparison to how breathtaking you are Mipha.”
He tells her as she blushes deeply and chuckles.
“That’s so sweet of you s/o. I must say that you are quite breathtaking yourself.
Now it’s his turn to blush as the two hold each other close and lay down on the grass together after finally leaving the water.
Should any Hylian or Zora say something negative about them being together, the two will firmly yet politely tell them off, and luckily they also have Link and Princess Zelda to openly support their relationship if anyone were to take issue with it.
Mipha loves so many things about s/o, but the thing that makes her heart flutter the most is how well he gets along with her little brother Sidon.
Watching her boyfriend play with Sidon so happy just makes her fall in love with him even more.
“Catch me if you can s/o!”’
“Ok! Careful not to trip Sidon!”
S/o says while running after the little Zora near the base of Lake Hylia.
“Thank you for spending time with my brother s/o, it means a lot to me.”
Mipha tells her boyfriend with sincerity and gratitude in her voice.
“No problem Mipha! I absolutely love this little guy!”
Hearing that just cements her belief that s/o is the one she wants to be with forever.
Some time later, Mipha brings her boyfriend to Lake Hylia as she has several times before, but this time being extremely special.
“Ok Mipha, you said this was really important. Is something wrong?”
“No, not at all s/o. In fact I have something for you.”
She hands him a set of beautifully crafted armor.
“Woah. This is for me? Mipha, I don’t know what to say. Thank you so much. I-”
Realization sets in as s/o remembers what this armor represents, his face going red as he looks at his girlfriend.
“Y-you want to marry me? A-are you sure I’m the one you want Mipha?”
Shaking off her own blush, she nods and cups her beloved’s cheeks.
“Yes s/o, there is not a single doubt in my mind that I want you as my husband. You are the love of my life, and should you accept this armor, I want to be with you forever.”
“I feel the same way Mipha. That’s why I’ll gladly take this armor. I love you so much.”
“That makes me so happy! I love you too s/o!”
Mipha exclaims with glee before kissing s/o passionately.
Watching him slowly put on the armor, Mipha smiles warmly knowing that the Hylian she loves with all her heart will soon be her husband, and there isn’t a single thing that makes her happier.

The Space Between
Summary: You and Loki have been friends for years, but your feelings for each other run deep. However, a misunderstanding leads to your friendship falling apart, leaving both of you with a gaping hole in your hearts.
Pairing: Loki Laufeyson x Fem!Asgardian!Reader
Warning(s): angst (like lots of it), friends to lovers trope, mentions of Thor x reader (only one scene), happy ending tho
(as per usual, lemme know if I forgot anything)
Loki had always been your best friend. You had grown up together, your families close and intertwined, so it was no surprise that you two had grown close. You had laughed together, cried together, and even gotten into trouble together.
But you had also loved him. Deeply.
You didn't know when it happened, but at some point, your feelings for Loki had gone from friendship to something more. You had tried to ignore it, to push it down and lock it away, but it had always been there, simmering just beneath the surface.
And you thought that maybe, just maybe, Loki felt the same way. He would look at you in a certain way, touch your arm a little too long, say things that made your heart skip a beat. But you didn't want to ruin what you had, so you said nothing.
That was until the night of the charity ball. You had gone together, dressed to the nines, and had a great time. But then, you saw him. Thor, Loki's brother, was there too, and you saw the way he looked at you, the way he talked to you, and you thought that maybe...just maybe, Loki had set you up with his brother as a way to let you down gently.
And so, you did the only thing you could think of -- you kissed Thor. It was a mistake, a desperate attempt to get over Loki, but it had the opposite effect. Because when Loki saw you with his brother, he didn't understand the truth. All he saw was betrayal.
He didn't talk to you for weeks after that, and when he finally did, it was with anger and hurt in his eyes. You tried to explain, to tell him that it was all a misunderstanding, but he wouldn't hear it. And so, your friendship fell apart, leaving both of you alone and hurting.
Months passed, and you tried to move on. You attempted to date other people, but they never felt quite right. You missed Loki, missed his laughter, his touch, his smile. And then, one day, he showed up on your doorstep, his eyes haunted and his heart on his sleeve.
You both sat in silence, your hearts racing with unspoken emotions -- the tension in the air was palpable. And the longer you sat there, the more the silence seemed to weigh you both down.
When he couldn’t take the silence anymore, Loki spoke up. “I... I have something to confess to you, Y/n.”
Your heart skipped a beat, “What is it?” you asked, your voice barely a whisper.
Loki took a deep breathe before continuing, “I've been keeping something from you... in hindsight it should’ve been something that I had told you long ago...”
Your mind raced with possibilities, but you couldn't have guessed the words that were about to spill from Loki's soft lips.
“I... I'm in love with you, and probably have been for much longer than my mind knows,” Loki said, his eyes fixed on the ground.
Your heart swelled with emotion, but at the same time, was crushed by waves of fear and uncertainty. The months of sorrow and grief over your friendship lost, the loneliness... the isolation that came with it.
“Loki, I...” you began, your voice cracking with emotion.
Before you could continue, Loki interrupted. “I understand if you no longer feel the same way, or never felt the same way in the first place; but especially now, with the way I’ve treated you these past few months...”
With his eyes still trained on your bedroom floor, he quickly spoke, “I just had to tell you, as I couldn’t keep it inside any longer.”
You were speechless. For years--decades even--you had avidly hoped that those words would slip from between his supple lips and you would both get the happily ever after you both deserved. But nothing ever happened; your relationship to the god never took any steps towards romance.
Loki, misunderstanding you silence as rejection, begins to stand up. “I wish you the happiest of lives, my dear Y/n... even if it means that you end up with my brother and not me.”
Your heart sank, as if it were a mighty ship being pulled into the vast ocean below. He thought you were interested in Thor? Had he thought that you had only been interested in Thor? Just as he reached his hand towards you doorknob, your strained voice halted him.
“You thought that I’d loved Thor all this time?”
Loki sighed, “You kissed him, Y/n. I think that sums everything up.”
You tutted, “If you’d just let me explain it months ago, you would’ve known that I’d only kissed Thor because I thought that you had set me up with him.”
Loki tensed as he turned to face you. “And why in the Norns would I set the woman I love up with my brother?”
“Because I thought you were letting me down gently, you oaf!” You cried.
“When you believe that the man you love doesn’t love you back, you’ll do anything in your power to try and forget it. Even if that means kissing someone to distract yourself from the pain.”
And with that, Loki surged forward, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you into a deep, passionate kiss. For a moment, everything else melted away, and you were both lost in each other’s embrace.
As you finally pulled away, both of you breathless, Loki looked into your eyes. “I’ve been such a fool this whole time,” he said, a small sigh escaping through the corners of his mouth. “And I’m truly sorry. I was so angry and blinded by what I thought was a betrayal that I didn’t even let you get in any sort of explanation.”
And in that moment, as you looked into his eyes, you knew that you forgave him, and that ultimately, you still loved him too. The space between you, one that was once so vast and insurmountable, had closed, and you were finally where you belonged.
In each other’s arms.
A/N I hope you enjoyed this little thing I put together :)

SHOW ME HOW | hwang hyunjin (m)
When you were young, you were friends with a neighborhood boy who liked the same things as you. Both of you were dirt poor, but it didn't seem to matter; as long as you had each other, there was always a make-believe adventure right around the corner. He grew up to be a star actor and, now that he's wealthy beyond imagination, seems to have forgotten where he came from. You haven't talked to him in years, but now he’s back, for reasons unknown to you, where you reconnect and reintroduce him to the life he left behind. (original prompt)
This is a little something I started writing last year, it’s actually the last thing I wrote and actually liked, before I seemed to forget how to. I’ve tried and tried to make it into something more but maybe it’s time for me to let go of it so I can let something new make it’s way in.
pairing: hyunjin x f!reader
genre: romance? very pg. childhood friends to strangers to one-sided enemies to lovers
word count: 1.5k
warnings: just feels; small towns, old friends, mentions of heartbreak, angsty, childhood friends to strangers (??) to one sided enemies (??), idk. a lot of secrecy.
missed u guys <3
p.s listen to it almost worked by tv girl for a better reading experience !
You never understood Hyunjin. Not after all those years when you were kids and especially not now. Not when you’d seen him cry every year on his birthday, not when he’d tried and failed to be friends with every newcomer in town, not when he’d stopped talking to you for days after you made fun of his dirt-caked sneakers (I’m sorry Hyunjin, I thought I’d earned that privilege!), and especially not when he’d left you, nineteen years old with not even a look back as he left to be something great while you were stuck being the younger version of your parents— a nobody.
You’d watched him grow up. You watched him mature from the young boy he was and into a man, and in turn he’d watched you as well. You were there when his voice deepened, when his mole started to fade— you were there when his eyebrows thickened and he lost all his baby fat. You were there when he had a huge growth spurt that left him hovering over you more often than not, even when you had always been the tallest. And in turn, he’d watched you. He was there when you decided to grow your hair out and also when you’d decided to cut it— he was there when you’d started to grow in your body and boys and girls started to take notice— he was there when you’d found something you loved, and he was there when your heart broke for the first time.
You were there to watch him bloom— standing by his side all the while as he did— knowing somewhere deep in your heart that he was meant for much more than the shoddy town you both had grown up in. It wasn’t horrible, no, you’d had a lot of fun growing up there. You never lacked fun, or something to do, or friends to make, but it wasn’t a place for flourishing.
It was a place where everyone knew everyone, where everyone went to the same spot to get alcohol, where everyone knew the best spot to get a fake ID; it was a place where the older generation couldn’t fathom why anyone would want a place in the city, where the docks still held old boats from the 70’s and the houses still held the same structure from years ago. It was a great town, one that held memories, but one that lacked growth.
You were there when Hyunjin flourished, when he grew so tall and bloomed so wide that he could no longer fit in your shoddy little town. When his wings spread so far that if he stayed he’d have to slouch a little— crouch down just to fit in. You were there when he found something he loved, when he found the one thing that made him happiest, when he found a dream to chase after.
You were there through his firsts— when he’d gotten his first job, his first rejection, when he’d gotten his first bad grade and his first perfect grade. You were there when the first argument with his parents turned into frequent ones. You were there during his drama lessons, during his practices, you were there when people would tell him he would never amount to anything— when people said he’d be a failure just like his parents— and you were also the one to stand up for him, throwing your first punch in his honor.
You never understood Hyunjin but you knew him. How he’d pick holes into his jeans when he was nervous, and dye his hair when he was really angry— how he’d sometimes just give you a hug, no warning and no words, just his warm embrace and for seemingly no reason at all, but you knew. You knew how he laughed when he was really happy, when he was being fake, when he laughed something small and sad. You knew what every twitch of his brows meant. You knew what he was trying to say when he’d look at you and his lips would quirk up for a split second— that was all you needed to know what he was trying to say without really saying it. You never understood your best friend, but you knew him. He was yours, and you were his. You didn’t need to understand because you knew. You were there.
You both liked to play the same video games, and every day after school you’d play before pulling out your homework. On the first day of school and every friday afterwards you’d both wear matching T-shirts— and whenever you’d manage to scrape up any money that was always what you spent it on. Something you both could match with. Weekends at the arcade in the next town over, going to the fair in the summer every single day until it closed for the year, swimming in the lake behind your house on the hottest summer days. Going to Mielle’s Diner like it was the best treat that your young minds could ever dream of. You both watched the same movies over and over again and would cry at the same exact parts. You’d read books together and yell at each other about them all the while, and watch whatever new drama was out — falling head over heels for the leads.
Now, the Hyunjin you see is a stranger. Twenty-six years to your twenty-four, he’s unrecognizable— in the way he dresses, in the way he talks, in the way he moves— even in the way he breathes. It’s clear that you no longer know Hwang Hyunjin from eight years ago. And of course that’s normal. After eight years you might not recognize what used to be your favorite song, or your childhood dog, your favorite TV show— if you hadn’t seen your parents in eight years you might not recognize them— but for you, someone who had always believed you and Hyunjin would be best friends forever— as childish as it was, looking at Hyunjin now feels like betrayal. Like heartbreak, one much worse than what made you stay all those years ago— it feels like coming home after a long day just to see your stuff thrown on the porch. It feels like going on a date expecting a proposal only to be broken up with. It feels like getting rejected from your dream school.
Seeing Hyunjin now isn’t familiar. You’ve seen him every once in a while on TV, in a magazine, in a cameo of your favorite show— but that wasn’t Hyunjin. Not your Hyunjin. That wasn’t the Hyunjin that used to throw rocks at your window and help you sneak out to go to karaoke. That wasn’t the Hyunjin that would always come to the diner where you worked and tip extra with the money he barely had. That wasn’t the Hyunjin that bought you your first pair of sneakers after fifteen years of hand-me-downs. That wasn’t the Hyunjin who’d rubbed your back and cried with you on the worst day of your life.
Yet, somehow, it is him. In the way he laughs, in the way he stands just a few inches taller than you, in the way his lips curve up and dimples form in a way you’d never seen before. It’s in the way he says “hey” and wraps you up in a hug like those eight years were really only eight seconds— as if he was just coming back from a week long vacation. It’s him in the way he brings warmth everywhere he goes, embracing you so tightly, so utterly comforting, that it feels like you’ve been rolled up inside a heated blanket on a cold, winter day. You’ve seen him every once in a while, on TV, in a magazine, and realized— that is him. It was him in an interview with dogs, cuddling and cooing at them for twenty minutes straight. It was him doing a tour of his home, books littered everywhere, canvases with the most intricate designs on his walls, it was him, when he still lit up at the sight of anything new— because those things don’t go away. Those old habits and interests that are ingrained so deep; so painfully deep, don’t just go away.
Seeing Hyunjin again is like finding a forgotten trinket in the back of your closet, like finding your favorite book or shirt after months— years, even— of thinking you’d lost it forever. It’s a sudden bout of nostalgia, a remembrance of something you used to love, something you cherished. But maybe the shirt doesn’t fit you anymore. Maybe the book doesn’t interest you. Seeing Hyunjin is like that— someone you used to love more than anyone; someone you used to cherish, but he’s a thing from the past, and eventually you’d always lose those items again. They’d lay in the darkness of the deepest corners of your closet, waiting for the chance to be found again or forgotten forever.
You don’t think seeing Hyunjin again is much different, except you’re the thing in the closet, and you’re fine with being forgotten.
It’s been eight years. You never understood Hyunjin, but you knew him. You knew each other better than anyone else could, but the Hyunjin you see today is a stranger. This is not the Hyunjin you know, and you hope he leaves as quickly as he came so your heart can’t be broken for a third time.

My take (that no one asked for) on every single Star Wars show and non-saga movie:
The Clone Wars (movie): It’s…okay it’s rough. This wasn’t supposed to be a movie at all, putting three episodes of the show together and releasing it theatrically was part of the distribution deal with Cartoon Network, as far as I know, and it does show. It’s grown on me, though.
Clone Wars (The Tartakovsky Series): I think I’m probably in the minority here, but I actually don’t love this one. It’s fun, slick, and stylish, like everything Tartakovsky does is, and I don’t dislike it, but it just doesn’t do much for me. It’s cool. Maybe it’s a little too cool. Great art style, though.
The Clone Wars: Very high highs, very low lows. Though to be honest, I actually love a lot of the goofier episodes. They’re fun. It doesn’t have to be all drama all the time. Sometimes you can let Jar Jar be an agent of chaos. Sometimes you can have an episode about interest rates. I don’t have the nostalgia factor going with TCW the way a lot of people do—I didn’t watch it until I was in my twenties—so I do have to admit that it is tied with one other show as my least favorite of the animated shows, but that’s not a bad thing. I still love it.
Ewoks: I’ve only seen about six episodes. It’s veeerry 80’s. I think eight year old me would have gone insane for this show had I seen it. Adult me actually has a bit of a soft spot for it. I’ll watch the rest of it eventually. (Aaaand now I have the theme song stuck in my head. It’s. It’s definitely a theme song.)
Droids: I…haven’t seen it.
Resistance: I finally had a chance to get all the way through this show (I was eyeballs deep in “okay fine we’ll try this college thing AGAIN” when it was airing and just didn’t have time to check it out) and you know what? It’s actually pretty good. It’s definitely skewed even a little younger than Star Wars typically is, but it does what it does really well. Sort of feel like this one is slept on.
The Mandalorian: It’s a fantastic adventure of the week show. I actually don’t dislike the “plot” episodes, but mostly I’m just here to watch what shenanigans Din and his small green force son get into. Season three is weaker than the first two, but I don’t even really think that season is bad. There was some great stuff in it—just uneven and mixed in with some not so great stuff. Overall, good popcorn viewing, as far as I’m concerned.
Andor: Okay, yeah, Andor is fantastic. I do think some of its popularity is that it’s one of two (maybe three) Star Wars shows made for adults more than anyone else, so some people don’t quite have the same “why isn’t this making me feel like Star Wars did when I was a kid?” dissonance watching it, but it is also genuinely amazing. Probably the best thing Star Wars has ever done even if it’s not technically my favorite.
The Book of Boba Fett: Is it a mess? Yes. Do I still enjoy it? Yeah. My main problem with BoBF is that it’s got some serious structural issues. Even besides Din coming in and taking over two whole episodes, I think that the telling the story via flashbacks was a mistake, and that we should have followed Boba through the childhood bits and slowly caught up to him in the present. Maybe revealed it was all a flashback while he was in the bacta tank from there. And I…don’t love Robert Rodriguez’s directorial style all that much, never really have. That said, I do hope we eventually get more of this, though if we do I think it will be folded into something else. Still don’t love the live action pike design. (I actually have a conspiracy theory that BoBF was originally just a few episodes or even a season of The Mandalorian, and that it was made its own thing for marketing purposes.) I want more Boba, more Fennec, and more Sand People, if nothing else.
Solo: One, killing off Val Beckett was a huge mistake. It’s not story breaking or anything like that, but doing so when she’s one of very few black women in Star Wars and half of one of, like, two interracial couples in the entire franchise means that it hits in a way it wouldn’t if she was someone else. So, yeah, don’t like that. Two, the rest of this movie is a blast and audiences just hate fun. I don’t care that no one asked for this movie, it’s fun and campy and there’s a heist and I like it. Three, Enfys Nest has the sickest armor design in the whole franchise and I need more of her.
Kenobi: So…maybe unpopular opinion here, but…I really like Kenobi. Kenobi’s a delight. It’s not perfect, it’s got some problems, but I like that it’s about a guy who’s that depressed and alone slowly regaining his sense of hope, I like that we had something focus on Leia for a while (because Anakin and Padme had two kids and Leia always gets left second string), I like that you’ve got grifters like Haja and former imperials doing what little bits they can to help even though they can’t fight the whole empire. And I know that thoughts are mixed on this, but I actually thought it made a couple bits of A New Hope make more sense where Leia is concerned; kid me could never figure out how she knew who Ben Kenobi was when that was the name he only went by in exile on Tattooine (“Ben Kenobi? Where is he!?”), and it kind of made the switch from the very formal request for aid on behalf of her father to the more personal, “Help me, Obi Wan Kenobi,” a little more poignant, for me, anyway. Reva is an amazing character, she’s a perfect parallel and eventually perfect foil for Anakin, she’s a mess and a he’s in pain and I just. I love her. I have mixed feelings on the live action Grand Inquisitor’s performance (and mixed feelings on the makeup—on the one hand it could be better and on the other hand the other main live action pau’an we’ve got—the actor’s head was just shaped like that). Nevertheless, this show for me was mostly about the big emotional beats, and it hit all of those really well.
The Bad Batch: This is a magnificent show and I adore it apart from That One Thing and the fact that everything was left completely open, even going into the epilogue, apart from Omega’s coming of age and the Hunter’s and Omega’s relationship’s arc. That was resolved very well. I am mildly insane about this show. I love it. Also, it vexes me. Tied with two other shows as my favorite Star Wars show in spite of all that. Amazing soundtrack. Sidebar: If it turns out I’m right and That One Thing is an extended fake out and we’re not quite done with these characters, I’m sorry, but I’m going to be the most insufferable person alive.
The Acolyte: Everyone is very pretty and just a little stupid. Mae is very fun. The good scenes are very, very good. The writing is pretty uneven; judging from interviews I have a completely different view of writing than Leslye Headland and had a hard time picking up why a lot of the characters did anything, but when it hit, it hit. It’s…very CW drama, which isn’t a bad thing—just not always my thing. That said, Sol is a fascinating concept for a character and Lee Jung-jae did an incredible job with what he was given. Same with Qimir and Manny Jacinto. It’s honestly not my favorite Star Wars show, but I’m still disappointed that it looks like it’s not moving forward. The leftover story might end up being folded into the high republic book series, but I still hope we get some kind of on-screen continuation. I think the public needs more of Darth Babe the Jacked.
Rogue One: It’s great. Yes, the entire main cast dies, but the central message was still about hope. Vader gets to pun. I remain somewhat dismayed that the only thing a portion of the audience took away from it was that the Vader hallway scene was cool. He’s a horror movie monster there. Still a great movie. (Also, Saw, why do you have that??)
Young Jedi Adventures: This skews very young; most Star Wars is for kids in the first place apart from Andor, the Acolyte, and mmaaaaaybe the Tales of anthology (the other live action shows are, in my opinion, solidly whole family), but this really is made for very young children. That said, I have watched it, and it’s a very well done show for very young kids. Also I would die and kill for Nubs.
The “Tales Of” anthology series: Yes, I am counting this as one, because even though there’s a shift in focus from the Jedi to the empire between seasons, it all follows the exact same format and structure. I’d argue this series is the one that’s primarily for the adults who either grew up watching Star Wars animation or got into it as adults. It’s good, lots of atmosphere, the episodes do range in quality but I generally like them, and it’s nice they get to play around with different techniques, like making miniatures and incorporating them into the animation. The Dooku and Barriss episodes are probably my favorites.
Ahsoka: I know the fandom is divided on this, like they are on most things, but I love this one, okay? It’s not perfect, but I have a good time watching it. It just happens to be this perfect blend of campy, fun, dramatic, and mystical that really feels like Star Wars for me. I like it when Star Wars gets weird, has silly little guys, and doesn’t take itself too seriously. Lucky for me that this series has extragalactic travel via whale, Ahsoka being dragged to Force Therapy by Anakin, and Ezra hanging out with the space fraggles. That, and I love some of the concepts. I like the idea that force sensitivity isn’t the be all end all, that connecting to the force is something you can learn with practice even if you weren’t blessed with the genetic lottery. Peridea and the space it occupies in folklore is neat. And the music is wonderful. It is a little uneven, it’s not Andor or anything quite that amazing, but I’m eager for more.
Visions: This anthology is fantastic and you’re missing out if you haven’t seen it. I don’t love every entry, but even the weaker ones are worth seeing once, and the stronger ones are worth seeing a whole lot more than that. It’s a great blend of styles and takes from people normally not involved in creating Star Wars. This is in a three way tie for my favorite Star Wars show.
Rebels: Again, it’s not perfect, because no show is, but I also think it’s the strongest standalone show Star Wars has besides Andor. Yes, there are weaker episodes, but on the whole it’s remarkably consistent, and the second half of season four might be some of my favorite Star Wars outside of parts of the original trilogy. Also, it has some stunning backgrounds, and while the art style doesn’t always work for every character, the character animation ends up really hitting its stride towards the end of the second season, and just gets better from there. And, as always, the music is fantastic. Rebels rounds out that three way tie for my favorite Star Wars show along with TBB and Visions.
#Star Wars#this is all just personal taste#I guess tldr is that I enjoy some more than others#but I enjoy basically all of it on some level

Hello OP ヾ(๑╹◡╹)ノ" I was super excited to see someone writing for AkaYona in 2023, it was such a dead fandom last I checked two years ago. I was reading your rules and it seems you exclusively write for yanderes? But I’ve seen you write non-yandere content too. So if it’s okay…maybe a platonic reader and Yoon who sees Yoon as her child and is fiercely protective? Bonus points if it makes Yoon cry because he remembers when he lost his mother and is unused to having someone care for him since he’s usually the one caring for the group? Sorry if this offensive, I’m rereading the manga and have a lot of feels
Note: Hi hi hi! I do not exclusively write for yanderes but it seems like those type of posts get the most interaction. I'll be sure to go back and make it more specific.
I never really liked Yoon so this might be a little strange to read. I read the manga years ago.
Pairing: Yoon x (platonic) Mother-figure! reader
Format: Headcanons
WARNING(S): slight angst
LINKS: Akatsuki no Yona Masterlist
You were only a couple of years older than YOON; less than eight to be precise, and it took very little time for the two of you to grow close. After the unfortunate passing of his mother nonetheless, you became his main source of support from there forward. And although similar in numerous ways, you were also differe nt.
It was hard for him to adjust to the idea of someone caring for him as much as you did. You reminded him of his mother in so many ways, it was comforting, to say the least. Not that he would admit it. He didn’t want to come across as weak or soft in front of others as the thought left his ears a font shade of pink. But as he expected, you did not care one bit
At times he finds your nagging to be such a pain, which is quite hypocritical on his behalf. But he never verbally complains, he wouldn't dare. You cared for him, deeply, and you were never scared of showing it. He's grateful for you even if he doesn't express it too often.
But once he gets attached, it's over. The two of you are inseparable, nearly spending every waking moment together.
You found yourself fixing his hair every morning, brushing through it with the utmost care. You’d make breakfast solely for him as he always forgot about himself whilst tending to the others. Your actions were brimming with affection, so much so that he could feel it with every touch. It made his heart swell with a foreign warmth that he hoped would stay forever.
The idea of calling you mom or mother isn't all that strange to him, and at times it comes as second nature. You entered his life at a very young age thus, he thinks of you as nothing more than a second parent.
He's grown pretty reliant on you in little time, though he'd never admit it. When seeking comfort or solutions he'd look for you. When annoyed and at his wits end with Yona and her dragons, you're always there to lend a helping hand and he's not opposed to it.
You are as protective as you are kind and his friends learned that the hard way. If they wouldn’t listen to Yoon, they sure as hell listened to you (strange sentence).
Your glares were deadly like a snake staring through its prey. You did not attempt to hide your protectiveness, there was no use. Seeing you practically seeth when Hak even slightly raised his voice at the young boy sent you spiraling out.
YOON was more than capable of taking care of himself, you were aware, but the thought of leaving weighted you with ineffable grief. You didn’t want to, you would never. He’s been hurt enough and you knew that your absence would crush him into pieces.
Restless nights had become scarce for him thanks to you. You never left his side, leaving him something — someone to wake up to. Occasionally, the two of you would take amongst yourselves as YOON was gradually lulled to sleep by the steady beating of your heart.
“You don't have to pretend in front of me, know?” Your voice was soft as you gently pat his head, swaying to the whispers of the ocean touching the salty coast. “I'll always be here for you Yoon, no matter what.”
You sit on the edge of a sharp peak, its warm surface faintly grazing the cold skin beneath your legs. A faint smile captured your lips as you gaze to your side. Yoon watched you, eyes wide, fingers coiled into tight fists; but not out of rage, oh no, but happiness rather.
“D...don't say embarrassing things like that, of course, you'll be here! Where would you go anyways? Hmph, you said you wouldn't leave me so I expect you to keep your promises!”

I saw your LO post and something stuck out to me. Most people focus on Hades as a love interest but you made the case that Persephone isn't wife material and I wondered if you could elaborate on that.
I presume you're talking about this post.
I stand by what I said.
This pink teenager isn't wife material, no adult over the age of 25 should look twice at her. This is because this character is functionally a child.
She's technically the physical equivalent of 19 but feels alarmingly younger than that because of her background and upbringing. Hades is supposedly in his 40's and has a full time job and his own assets. At my age and current life stage I'm actually a lot closer to where he's at than I am where she is and I cannot fathom what her appeal would be to anyone outside of her age group.
What is the allure? Is it the way adding her as a household driver would skyrocket someone's car insurance? Is it the way they'd pretty much be guaranteed to have to finish raising her? Instead of coming home after busting your ass at work and having another grown-up to talk to, you'd have to go through the emotional labor of having to play parent/teacher to this child who probably doesn't know how to write a resume and has never had to experience the mental, physical and financial burden of running a household. If you were to date someone like Persephone you'd have to be ok with never getting any kind of mental, emotional, or financial reciprocity because she's not equipped to function in an adult relationship as an equal partner.
That's a HUGE thing and when you get to be my age you will care about these things a lot more than you care about the frivolous "dating" elements that tend to be the focus of younger people's relationships.
Persephone would be incapable of relating to a character like Hades in any meaningful way and while it's cute, I guess, that she's "nice", nice isn't enough of a foundation to build a long term relationship. Due to her lack of age and experience she's not capable of giving advice or even actual comfort if someone had to come to her with typical adult concerns. At best she'd maybe be able to give empty sympathy and, I'll tell you right now, empty sympathy gets old fast.
A very long time ago I dated someone who was my age but at a totally different phase of life and it was a huge mistake. I'd try to talk to her about my job or an apartment I was considering renting and she'd just give me this glazed look like I was speaking another language. The only things I could talk to her about were media or college so when I needed to talk to another grown-up about the very real things I was going through (feelings of inadequacy at my job, concern over financial stability, finding affordable housing) I had NO ONE, because she had never had to worry about any of those things and couldn't comprehend how serious these concerns were. I think the last straw was when I wanted to go do something and she had to ask her parents for money and permission first.
We were both 22 and I had already had a job and my own car for 3 years and the idea of asking my parents for money or permission to do anything seemed ludicrous.
To be clear I don't blame her for that, everyone grows at a different rate and some people get to certain stages later than others, but it did really highlight that this wasn't a person I should continue to date and not someone I could ever feel like I was on equal footing with because she still lived and behaved like a teenager. We were the same age, but sometimes I felt like I was taking on a role that should have been filled by her parents and nothing kills a romantic mood like feeling like the only adult in the room is you.
So yeah, someone like Persephone shouldn't even be trying to start serious relationships, she should be learning how to navigate through life with her peers, people who are also still learning crucial life lessons. But that's not what's going to happen. There's something incredibly gross about the fact that the one who's going to have to teach her how to be a functional adult is the 40 year old man who's eventually going to marry her.

 Maddie Perez style
Maddie S Styling in euphoria , starts out really liked with cherries 🍒 and matching outfits with cherries Chanel style outfits, butterflies and things like that, it changes during the first series through the trauma that she goes through in it when she’s happy at the beginning with Nate she’s in her light to colours pink purple but mainly like patterns Louis Vuitton which I don’t know how high school students can afford Louis Vuitton, but there you go,
So in the first season, we like I said we have a lot of floral co ord outfits, when she turns up to the carnival she is in a very revealing outfit in a purple which then comes out more and season two once her Nate broken up, it is the beginning of where it comes out the most and have fair kicks in when she’s at the carnival. She really dresses to impress and is really happy and it with her she gets and he tells her she looks like a prostitute which causes her to go off the right, fairly
The next day when she comes to school after he’s sorted her acting up around his family, he sees , as a friend to his family and friends and being embarrassed, specially as she spoke to his mother, and his family expect him to be with a woman he put up with his shit like his father does, Maddie isn’t that kind of,
Cassie would never of done Cassie, constantly, to previous years of past and this happened when I was unique for having a triangle like this, but it seems in your things like this up and all the time, meant to be meant to be like teenagers I mean America you guys staying in high school forever at it it seems I mean look at GREASe jokes lol, even though Alexa Demi was 25 my day apparently she’s my age 33 or 32 at the time.
So after this is really bad I’m done with MDMA and she’s hit it up with us sunglasses on but from where he has sorted her around the neck and his bruised her parents when press charges she doesn’t and they make her, they are however still meeting up and seeing each other they put another abusive relationship is going back-and-forth back-and-forth and meeting up in weird places where no one can see them so I don’t have time for anything else.
Like I said with Cassie Howard have a colour palette does not change as always baby blue and baby pink M possibly , too dramatic , until she gets with Nate and he basically turns her into a version of Maddie but more jules embarrassed that he fancies someone he’s transgender as well but when you see Cassie, she looks just like her make up ,.
But this is Maddie season two her colour palette seems to be a lot more grown-up. She’s wearing black with light lace around it which compliments her dark features and our pair shape body and petite frame ..
Babysitting for a lady who has a lot of money she’s trying on nice clothes and realising that she could have this all one day and her friend who is the babysitter tells her that she did exactly what she did her colour in this season seem to be black green and purple , purple represents our personality , and it’s a real spiritual , light green and some of her other outfits are very inspired and early 2000s out of everyone else in the group , I’ve put these in a collage of outfits together but like I said, she progresses a lot more than Cassie and a few of the other Ocado , because she is wanting to grow up some of them are stuck in an age .
Maddie wants to get her grow up. She doesn’t wanna be her mum, but they said there was people who had their feet done and the people who did the , represented when buys her that coat .
The clothes make her feel a certain way and confident and like she says shit she pretends to be confident and teaches Lexi. That’s the way she does it. She just pretends that they often do the colours and euphoria of what’s going on for them at the time .
Nate buys her some lingerie it’s pink and it’s not something she feels comfortable when but she likes to impress men in a certain way. We’re watching porn and doing what they think would be desirable and she pretends to like underwear when she thinks it’s awful my phone that so funny, she makes herself look pretty, characters, RUE Bennett, her doesn’t change that much because she is stuck in her 10 years and the years of when her dad was dying and she feels the safety towards her but a lot of, and only 2000, Popstar.

Because It's You | Jacob Black Oneshot
Moving was something (Y/N) Swan was already used to. With her mother trailing her up and down, following Phil Dwyer until they finally settled in Florida. But the novelty of living in a hot crowded state had grown old and something inside her was calling to the coldness of Forks, Washington.
She didn’t understand the sudden urge to move back to her birthplace, but it remained incessant inside her. Growing every day that passed. Her skin itched for the gloomy nature of Forks. The rainy days, the freezing winters, the chilling winds, and the smell of the pines. Long gone was her love for the humid air, the bustling streets, and the burning sun of Jacksonville.
“Mom, can I talk to you?” (Y/N) peeked her head into her mother’s bedroom one day.
Renee smiled and patted the empty spot on the bed beside her. “Of course, honey. What’s up?”
“For some time now I’ve been thinking about moving to Forks with Bella and dad,” she confessed. “It’s not that I don’t like living here, don’t get me wrong. It’s simply that something keeps calling me over.”
“Oh, (Y/N), you don’t need to feel bad for wanting a change in scenery,” Renee consoled. “And I know that your father will be absolutely thrilled to have you there. And even though I will miss you a lot. I, more than many, understand the need to find a new pace.”
“I’m so happy you understand, mom,” she beamed. “I promise as soon as I can I’ll come and visit you. And I’ll call you as much as I can and send you messages.”
“Maybe you’ll finally get Bella out of that weird funk she’s in over that boy.”
“First loves are something that are hard to get over. That’s something you taught me.”
“Oh, me and my ramblings,” Renée chuckled. “Do you need any help packing up?”
“I’ve got it,” (Y/N) smiled. “Thanks, mom.”
The girl packed excitedly, a morose feeling creeping up her back. It wouldn’t be her first time in the cold and rainy lands of Forks, Washington. But it would be the first time she would remain there for the foreseeable future. A mix of nostalgia and anticipation crept through her veins and made their home in her heart.
The hardest part was saying goodbye to her mother. She would miss the woman’s sporadic need to change things up. Whether it was a wall color, a couch, or even a state, their household was always in a constant state of evolution. (Y/N) could never say her life felt monotonous.
Still, she embarked on the seven-hour journey to Washington, ready to start her new life and answer whatever call the town had made to her. She could feel it deep in her bones that there was a reason moving to Forks was the right decision for her, and she couldn’t wait to find out what it was.
Sleep overtook her two hours into the flight, her brain shutting down as tiredness flushed it. One second her eyes were focused on a book, the next, her head had fallen against the side of the plane and flashes of images started fluttering behind her eyelids.
But (Y/N) could not understand the visions that her subconscious played for her. She saw a gigantic wolf with russet-colored fur. She saw the back of a man with short brown hair and tan skin. She saw tears. But what jolted her awake was that she saw a baby. And the stewardess welcoming the passengers to Port Angeles, Washington.
She quickly gathered her things, unable to shake the image of that baby from her head. She couldn’t erase the image of the child’s coal black hair, its soft tan skin, its unforgettable big brown eyes. Every feature of the tiny baby had sewn into the very fibers of her brain. But she had to squash it down. To believe that what her imagination had conjured was only that, her imagination. (Y/N) was starting a new chapter and she did not want a silly dream to set off the tone for the rest of her book.
“I can’t believe how much you’ve grown,” Charlie Swan beamed as his eyes fell on his younger daughter. “I swear only yesterday you were a little girl asking to learn how to ride her bike.”
“Hey, dad,” she smiled, wrapping her arms around her father’s waist, sinking into the warmth of his body. “Can’t believe it’s been almost three years since I’ve seen you.”
“Yeah, three years too long,” he chuckled. “But I’m glad I’ve got both my girls with me now. Even if Bella is not quite herself right now.”
“Don’t worry, dad. We’ll get her back to being herself in no time.”
“I sure hope so, kiddo,” he sighed. “Now let’s get you home.”
Both Swans rolled suitcases and carried bags to the cruiser, joy wrapping around them comfortingly. (Y/N) had always loved visiting her dad. Even if it was only two months of the year, she enjoyed spending time with the awkward and lovable man.
Charlie had always tried hard to be a good father. He’d done everything he could to fit a whole year into eight weeks, trying with all his might to form a strong relationship with his daughters. He had always felt guilty for letting Renée take them without much fight, but he had believed it was the best decision for all of them. Even if he could only see his girls for a small amount, they would know how much they were loved.
“I have to warn you, kiddo, Bella is not herself,” Charlie finally spoke. “She’s kind of like the living dead. She goes to school, she goes to work, and she locks herself in her room. It’s like she’s stuck in autopilot and can’t turn it off.”
“Well, it’s her first-ever boyfriend. She’s probably still reeling from the fact that she lost her first love.”
“I guess,” he sighed defeatedly. “I just want her to get better. A boy is never worth your tears.”
It wasn’t long until they were parking in front of the house. The night was quiet, somehow unaware that there was now a new resident in its midst. Even the house had no idea that she had come home. Everything was just as she had remembered. From the couches to the curtains, to the dated kitchen, it was stuck in time.
“You’ve still got your same room,” Charlie smiled. “I wasn’t sure what you’d like so I kept it the same. We can change it up any time you want though. Buy some new paints and sheets or whatever.”
“Thanks, dad,” (Y/N) responded in kind. “And I’ll take you up on that offer. It’s been a while since I’ve liked bright green paint on my walls.”
“Alright, kiddo. Why don’t you go ahead and turn in for the night? Bella is definitely already in bed so you can try and catch up tomorrow afternoon after school,” he offered. “You start on Monday anyway, so you won’t see her until she comes back.”
“That’s done. I’m honestly exhausted and will probably sleep in,” she sighed contentedly. “Well, good night, dad.”
“Night, kiddo. Welcome home.”
Her childhood bedroom was truly exactly like the last time she had seen it. The walls were painted a painful neon lime green, the sheets a shade of teal that seemed too bright for the darkness of the night, and books and dolls littered shelves on the wall. She quickly felt like she had never left home. Only a couple of months into being sixteen and she had regressed to her thirteen-year-old self.
She could see herself spending her summer days in her room, playing make-believe, and imagining what it would have been like to spend more than two months living in Forks, Washington. She dreamed of how it would feel to spend the freezing winters bundled up in front of the fire and drinking hot chocolate. To watch the snow fall as she breathed in the scent of pines and damp soil. To know more of the souls that lived in the small town and the reservation.
After her eyes ran across the room, they fell on a little wolf carved out of redwood. She had forgotten it had existed, but looking at it then made a smile spread across her face. It was choppy and amateurly made, but it had been a sweet token of appreciation from a dear friend.
They had been but ten-year-old kids playing around the barn behind the Black residence. Jacob Black had been excited to show (Y/N) something he had made her, his face lit up with excitement. He dug into the pockets of his too-big-fit cargo pants and pulled out the little wolf.
“Mom used to say that wolves are a totem of protection,” he said sheepishly. “I want to make sure you have something that’s always protecting you. Even if it might seem like it’s all make-believe, but good vibes and everything.”
“It’s beautiful, Jake,” she had smiled. “I’ll keep it with me always.”
“Good, I don’t want anything to ever happen to you.”
“What’s that?” Bella had asked, joining the kids after going to the bathroom. She was already a head taller than the other two, and the fact that she was thirteen already was evident in how disinterested she had been to spend time with her sister and their friend. “It looks bad. Like you couldn’t have spent more than five bucks on it.”
“I made it,” Jake had peeped, his skin turning a deep hue of red. “I spent a whole month working on it.”
“Oh,” she had answered, taking it from her sister’s hands and inspecting it. “It’s cute.”
“Well, I think it’s amazing.” (Y/N) had snatched the totem back. “And it’s mine so your opinion doesn’t really matter, Bella.”
“It’s okay, (Y/N). You don’t have to say it’s good,” Jake shrugged. “I can take it back.”
“No, you have it to me, and I love it. You can’t take gifts back.”
She couldn’t believe she had forgotten the little totem had existed. She ran her fingers over the carved fur, the lopsided snout, the painted black eyes, and the slightly sharp ears. It was still as beautiful to her as she had thought the first time she had seen it. And it made her think of the boy she had grown up with.
It made her wonder how he looked. How tall he had become, how long his hair could have gotten, how broad his shoulders could have become. She wondered if his smile was just as bright, if his hugs were just as warm, and if his laughter was just as melodious. She wanted to know if he was still the same boy she had loved since she was a kid.
The next morning, rather the afternoon, she had woken to the sun beaming on her face. Even in the midst of the January snow, the sun was as bright. (Y/N) stretched out the soreness in her muscles, the seven hours sat on a plane taking a toll on her body. She rolled out of her bed, her eyes taking a second to adjust to her new surroundings. She wasn’t back in her room in Florida, wondering which shorts she would wear to take on the ravishing humidity and heat. She was in Forks now, rummaging through her suitcases for the warmest sweater she owned.
After she had gotten dressed, she noticed the note that had been taped to the door, her father’s scribbly handwriting evident from far away. She took the paper in her hands, a grin tugging at the corners of her mouth.
Thought you might need some wheels to get around, kiddo. It might not be too new, but it runs perfectly. You have Jake to thank for that. Keys are on the kitchen table. J
The girl took off in a run, excitement running through her veins. Before going outside and seeing her new car, she stopped by the kitchen grabbing the keys and a chocolate chip muffin. Outside, a 1971 baby blue C-10 Chevy pickup truck was parked on the driveway, a thin sheet of white snow covering the car. It had been the very car she had been obsessed with since she was a kid and she had started to love cars just like Jake had.
She sat on the driver’s seat, turning on the engine, allowing the car to warm up. Her eyes unconsciously closed, reveling in the rumbling of the car and the warmth that the heater blew. The truck sounded beautiful, as beautiful as she thought it would have been in the 70s, maybe even better. Her fingers traced the inside of the car. She touched the gear shift and the steering wheel. She grazed the stereo that had definitely been replaced and the soft leather seats that had been clearly upholstered. It was perfect.
Jake had outdone himself with the car and it had made her heart flutter that he had put so much care into fixing it. All she wanted was to thank him. And that’s exactly what she had planned to do.
She remembered the road that led to the La Push reservation like the back of her hand. She had spent so many summer days there while her father worked, and she had been excited every single day she went there. The same excitement she felt as she parked by the beach to wait until the high school let out and she could finally see Jacob.
She found a spot on the beach, sitting on a piece of driftwood, watching as the waves rolled in and out of the shore. Even in winter, the reservation was always just a bit warmer, a bit cozier. (Y/N) had always enjoyed the time she spent there just as much as she loved Forks. She loved going to bonfires and splashing around on the beach. She loved the people that lived there and how welcoming they had always been toward her.
A loud hooting broke (Y/N)’s trance, her head snapping to the right end of the beach, not too far from her, where three boys were shouting from the top of a cliff. They were all tall and of deep-tanned skin, their hair chopped similarly, and something she could only assume was a tattoo on the right biceps of each of their arms. She couldn’t believe they were thinking of jumping into the ice-cold ocean, much less than she could believe how little clothes they were wearing.
Her eyes focused on the way the first one jumped, going straight down with a joyful scream before he slipped effortlessly into the water. He disappeared for a second into the dark waves, before he resurfaced with a cocky grin on his face. As he swam to shore, the second boy jumped and her head snapped to see him plummet just as flawlessly into the water.
“You’re not from around here,” a voice called her attention. It was the first boy. His dark brown hair was dripping, the drops falling onto his bare chest. “I would have remembered a pretty face like yours.”
(Y/N) could feel her cheeks growing red, the warmth that filled her body pooling in her face. “I’m not from around here, you’re right,” she smiled. “I’m from Forks. But I used to come here a lot when I was a kid.”
“And why haven’t you been here since then?”
“I just moved back,” she responded. “I’m (Y/N) Swan.”
“The sheriff’s younger daughter,” he said with a grin, sitting next to her. “I’m Paul Lahote. And on behalf of all the residents of La Push, I formally welcome you back to Washington.”
“Well; thank you, Mr. Lahote,” she chuckled. “It’s good to be back.”
“So, are you back for a visit or are you back for good?”
“And why would that be important information, Paul?” (Y/N) smiled teasingly.
“Well, if you’re just here for a visit then I won’t ask you out,” he smiled deviously. “If you’re here for good, then I’m not leaving until you say yes.”
“What if I say now?”
“I don’t take no for an answer.”
“Good,” she grinned the same way he had. “Because I was going to say yes.”
That very afternoon (Y/N) went home with a smile on her face, a new number in her directory, and a forgotten boy pushed into a dark corner of her brain. Her head had been filled with the image of a new one. Paul Lahote’s face had engrained itself in her, sending a rush of dopamine and serotonin through her body.
It wasn’t long until weeks had passed, and she seemed to be spending more and more time with one Paul. She had started visiting the reservation more and more, but it had never been to see the one person she had promised herself to reconnect with. She was spending her time with the Lahote boy, doing much more than just talking. She was sure that she was falling in love. At least she hoped that’s what it was.
Her schedule had become packed. It had been completely occupied by school, long dates in Port Angeles and the rez, and trying to get her sister out of the funk that had started to make the house reek. (Y/N) had grown tired of it and so had Charlie. Bella needed to make a change, for herself and her family.
Though as more time passed it seemed that Bella had found something to occupy her mind. The older Swan seemed to be in the house less and less, leaving early on weekends and coming home late, mimicking her little sister’s behavior. If she wasn’t at school or at work, she would be out of the house with the one person (Y/N) had seemed to forget.
“Why do you think she hasn’t come see me?” Jake had asked Bella one day as they worked on the motorcycles. “She’s been here almost a full month and I have yet to see her.”
“I don’t really know,” she shrugged. “She’s barely in the house when I’m there and I honestly haven’t asked.”
“I just thought…”
“Why haven’t you gone to see her? When I got here you were one of the first people on the welcoming committee.”
“Yeah, and look how well that turned out for me,” he chuckled dryly. “I just want it to come from her to want to see me. I don’t wanna ambush her.”
“Is this about the little crush you used to have on her when you were kids?”
“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he blubbered.
“It was obvious you two liked each other. You would get so red in the face and nervous when she was around,” Bella laughed. “You would get all flustered and tongue-tied, it was cute.”
“Was it that obvious?”
“A blind person would have seen it,” she grinned. “But it doesn’t matter now.”
“What’re you talking about?” Jake questioned, his brows furrowing in curiosity. “Why doesn’t it matter, Bella?”
“She’s been dating one of Sam Uley’s friends. Uh, Paul Lahote I think he’s called,” Bella responded. She could see anger surging through him, his body shaking slightly with ire. “She basically spends all her time with him. I’m surprised you haven’t run into them here.”
“I haven’t,” he spoke through gritted teeth. “He’s not a good guy, Bella. You need to tell her to stay away from him.”
“You and I both know that no one can tell (Y/N) what to do,” she chuckled slightly. “And why shouldn’t she date whoever she wants? He hasn’t done anything bad to her.”
“But he will,” Jake spat. “Paul Lahote is bad news, and it won’t take long before he breaks (Y/N)’s heart.”
“Why do you care so much, Jake?” Bella pushed, for some reason growing annoyed at her friend. “She’s old enough to do whatever she wants. No, to be with whoever she wants. It’s not really my place to tell her who she can or can’t date.”
“You’re her older sister, Bella!” the boy exclaimed. “Why do I care? Why don’t you care enough?!”
“I do care,” she argued. “But I also know what it’s like when people start to comment on who you can and can’t be with. I’m not doing that to her.”
“So, you wouldn’t stop what happened to you from happening to her?” He was blind with anger now. He had closed any space between them, staring her down. “You would rather let her be heartbroken and try and protect her from getting hurt? You’d rather both of you be miserable than spare her the pain that I know she will be in? You have a chance to spare her heartache, Bella. You owe your sister that much.”
“What about you, Jake?” Bella added, standing her ground, and facing up to him. “Why don’t you tell her that Paul is such a bad guy? Why don’t you spare her all this hypothetical heartache instead of forcing me to do it for you? Or are you too scared to face her since she has someone else to occupy her time?”
“If she hasn’t come to see me, it’s clear she didn’t want to,” he said, his voice clearly broken. “But I am begging you. Tell her. It’s not a matter of how, but when he will do something to hurt her.”
“(Y/N) can make her own decisions,” Bella responded. “Heartbreak is a part of life. She’ll get over it.”
“Like you have?” Jacob called as the girl had started to make her way to her car. “If something goes wrong, it’ll be on you, Bella.”
“No, it’ll be on the both of us.”
But they didn’t know that moment would come sooner than they could have thought.
(Y/N) had not been feeling well for at least a week. Her body felt sore, and her stomach felt uneasy. Nothing she ate stayed down long enough to fill the unbearable hunger she seemed to have. She felt as awful as could be and she was ready to pass out by drinking the cold and flu medicine she was holding in the pharmacy.
But as she perused the aisles of the brightly lit establishment, her eyes fell on the sleuth of pink and purple boxes that were yelling at her. It was a hard thing to fathom, but it was a perfectly plausible explanation to how she was feeling. Her symptoms, and the fact that she had missed her monthly in January, were to the book the thing she was most dreading.
Time seemed to warp as she drove home, two pink boxes buried deep in her purse. One second, she was cowering from the cashier, embarrassed as she placed the boxes on the counter. And the next, she was making a beeline to the bathroom, locking herself inside as her father and sister called for her.
She had never thought five minutes could ever feel so long.
Five minutes and she would know if her whole life was about to change.
Dread was the only feeling that washed over her. As the seconds counted down, she could feel her heart dropping. Deep down, she knew what the answer would be. She knew that when the time was finally over, she would l have to accept her new reality. It was daunting. She was only sixteen and she was on her way to face one of the most life-changing events that anyone could go through.
(Y/N) could have never thought that a pink cross on a piece of plastic could be so permanent. She was holding the pregnancy tests in her hand, the two of them producing a very dark pink plus sign. There was no denying that they were positive. There was no denying that at that very moment, inside her body, was a bundle of cells multiplying to create a baby.
“Hey, kiddo,” Charlie called out from the other side of the door. His voice startled her, making the tests clatter loudly against the sink. “What was that? Is everything okay, (Y/N)?”
“Uh, yeah, dad,” she choked out as she finally opened the door. “Everything’s fine. Just knocked over the toothbrushes.”
“Are you sure, kid? You look paler than a ghost.”
“I’m fine, dad,” she said, trying her best to give a convincing smile. “I actually just remembered I have to run out for a bit. Miriam just texted me and I forgot to give back her science textbook and she has a test tomorrow. I’m gonna go give it to her.”
“Okay, honey. As long as you’re okay,” he responded. Charlie could tell there was something lingering underneath his daughter’s smile, but he could see how hard she was trying to hide whatever it was. “Be careful on the road, alright? And don’t come home too late.”
“I will. I’ll, uh, see you guys later.”
In an instant, she was back in her truck and speeding down to the reservation. At that moment, she needed Paul’s comfort. She needed him to tell her that everything would be okay, and that they would figure things out together. She craved feeling his warm arms around him and listening to the soft coo of his voice as he calmed her down. All she wanted was him.
She reached the Lahote residence in record time, jumping out of the car and running to the front door. (Y/N) knocked against the blue-painted wood frantically, calling Paul’s name incessantly. She knew his father wouldn’t be home that night, taking night shifts was something he was prone to and that day had not been different. The girl rapped on the door, over and over again, until it finally swung open.
“(Y/N)!” Paul exclaimed in surprise. “What are you doing here, baby? I wasn’t expecting you.”
Overwhelming anxiety burst inside the girl and all she could do to not break down in front of him was to wrap her arms around his waist tightly. “We gotta talk, Paul,” she cried softly. “It’s… I don’t know how it happened l, but… I’m just so scared.”
“What’re you talking about, (Y/N)? You’re not making any sense.”
The youngest Swan couldn’t find the words to tell him. She wanted what she said to be perfect. For there to be no flaw to her monologue that could make him desist of the idea that this was what was meant to happen. That maybe it was a sign that they were always meant to meet and be together for the rest of time.
But a voice suddenly burst the delusion that (Y/N) had built in her head. “Paul, baby, come back to bed,” the voice whined. “Get rid of whoever’s at the door.”
(Y/N) released herself from Paul’s grasp, feeling as though his touch had burned her. He looks like a deer caught in headlights, surprise opening his eyes. “Who is that?” (Y/N) asked sternly, making the boy scramble for words. “Do you have another fucking girl in your room right now, Paul?”
“It’s not what it looks like, (Y/N).”
“Not what it looks like?! She just called you back to bed, baby,” she mocked. “I am pretty sure you’re not in there helping her with homework.”
Paul’s shocked expression didn’t last long. His agape mouth and huge eyes were instantly replaced by a stoic mask. “So, what, (Y/N)?” Paul spat. “I haven’t done anything wrong.”
“Nothing wrong?!” (Y/N) yelled. “You’re cheating on me! How can you think you haven’t done anything wrong?”
“How could I be cheating?” he shrugged. “You and I were never exclusive.”
The girl felt like she had been punched in the stomach. Her chest tightened, squeezing out whatever little breath that was left in her lungs. She felt warm tears fall from her eyes before she could do anything to stop them.
“I thought you actually loved me,” she said with a broken voice. “Did I mean nothing to you?”
“Look, (Y/N), you’re a great girl, but you had to know this was gonna end sooner or later,” Paul said. “Let’s just call this what it is, a fling. We were just having fun.”
“It wasn’t a fling to me! I fell for you, Paul! I loved you.”
“I’m sorry, (Y/N, but I thought you knew what this was,” he sighed. “We were never gonna last long anyway.”
“I can’t believe this,” she said to herself. “I’m such an idiot. How could I have ever believed you?”
“At the end of the day, I hope we can still be friends.”
Now it was (Y/N)’s turn to be completely aghast. She had borne her heart to him; she had given him her time, her body, her soul. She had trusted that he returned the sentiment, even if it was a fraction of what she felt for him –that would have been enough. But he didn’t. He never had. And he was asking her to remain in his life as a friend with a sickening grin on his face.
She wanted to scream, she wanted to cry, she wanted to claw out that smile he was giving her. Still, deep down, she wanted him to choose her, to want her, to need her. She wanted him to be devastated that he was losing her, devastated that he had hurt her. Instead, he was giving her empty promises of friendships, and devaluing her as nothing more than a way to pass the time. She was carrying his child and he wanted them to be friends.
“You know what, Paul? You can take your friendship and shove it up that girl’s ass,” she spat. “I don’t want you to call me, I don’t wanna see you, I don’t wanna even remember that you exist. You will regret this, Paul. You don’t even know how much right now.”
(Y/N) got into her car, ignoring Paul’s calls of her name. The last thing she wanted was for him to see her cry and revel in the fact that he was the one that had made her spill tears. She didn’t want to give him the satisfaction of knowing just how deep her hurt was.
Only when she was in the safety of her truck and far enough away that he couldn’t see her did she allow the water to stream down her cheeks. It was an overwhelming surge of emotions –betrayal, heartbreak, sadness. All she wanted was to not feel that way, not anymore, not ever again.
In her distraction, she didn’t notice the person crossing the street. Only when she was seconds away from crashing into them did she look up and slammed on her brakes. The stranger braced themselves, their hands landing on the hood of her car, their face shielded by the hoodie they wore. Until they raised their head and (Y/N)’s world came crashing down.
The brown eyes that stared at her unmistakably belonged to the one person she had yet to see since she had come back to Forks, Washington. He seemed frozen for a second. Standing there in the middle of the night, staring at a specter from his past. All the questions she’d had about him, answer in a swift second.
Jacob didn’t understand what Sam had meant when he had explained imprinting. The shift in gravity, the way your whole being seems to incline toward that one person. Nothing else matters but them. He thought it was fiction. A way he could explain choosing his ex’s cousin after breaking her heart. But at that very second, he knew just how true it was.
The second he locked eyes with (Y/N) he felt it in the pit of his soul. He was almost sure he could see the way his world had changed, and everything became her, became about her. In that instant, he could feel her sadness. Whatever pain was tormenting her, he could feel it wrenching its way into his own heart. All he wanted was to wrap his arms around her and tell her that everything would be okay.
Instead, he kept quiet. He looked into her tear-streaked eyes, and he ran. He ran until his legs were burning with pain, until his lungs were begging for air, until his whole body hurt to be near her again. He understood Sam, but he didn’t want to. He had even gone as far as trying to force himself to imprint on Bella, that way he could forget the void that (Y/N) had created in his heart.
(Y/N) had avoided him for over a month. She had come home, and she had yet to even show her face to say hello to his father. She had preferred to run to the arms of Paul Lahote and forget the people that cared about her.
Most of his childhood he had hoped for a moment like this with her. A sign from the universe that she was the person meant for him. Even at his young age, he knew what love felt like. Jake had experienced it the moment he laid eyes on (Y/N). But she had made the decision to invest her time with someone he knew would only break her. A guy that would use her until there was nothing left and discard her the second he got bored.
And something told him that’s exactly what Paul had done.
He didn’t know where he was going until he was standing in front of the blue-colored door, banging loudly against it. “Paul!” Jake screamed. “Open this god-dammed door!”
“What the hell is up with people tonight?” Paul grumbled as he swung the door open. “What the hell do you want, Jacob?”
“What did you do to (Y/N)?” the boy said, fuming.
“What’re you talking about, Jake?” Paul pretended. “I haven’t done anything.”
“I just saw her, driving away and absolutely destroyed,” he seethed. “So, I’m gonna ask you again. What the hell did you do to her?”
“Why do you suddenly care about her, Jacob? It’s been over a month, and you haven’t even said hello to her,” he deflected, a mischievous laugh leaving his mouth. “Could it be because you just imprinted on her? Maybe you should be worrying about that rather than trying to pick a fight with me.”
“We’re not talking about me, right now. Now, I’ll be the bigger man and not access your thoughts, because I don’t need them to know what a jackass you are and that you’re the one that hurt her,” Jacob retorted, squaring up to Paul and staring him down. “So, I will ask you one last time before I beat the shit out of you for absolutely no reason, what the fuck did you do to (Y/N)?”
“I just reminded her that what was happening between us was just a bit of fun,” he shrugged, chuckling. “It’s not my fault she built up a whole fantasy in her head about us.”
“She was in love with you, and you broke her heart,” Jake scoffed. “Tell me was it worth it?”
“What was worth it?”
“Losing the best girl you could’ve had by your side all for a night of fun.”
(Y/N) didn’t take much time to dwell on why Jake had run away, or why her heart wrenched tighter as he left. She could only process one thing at a time and the most pressing matter was the fact that she was pregnant, the baby’s father had cheated on her –or sort of cheated—and she was left to decide what to do all by herself.
The second she got back home, she ran up the stairs and into her room. Once more ignoring her father’s calls to her name. She simply wanted to sink into her bed and disappear, to make every bad thing that had occurred in the last hour disappear. If that was only a fraction of how her sister was feeling, she never wanted to know the expanse of that pain. All she wanted was for things to stop.
“Hey, kiddo. Can I come in?” Charlie knocked softly on her door. He couldn’t bring himself to pass the threshold. Not without her confirmation. It wasn’t until she nodded softly, her face mostly shielded by the pillow she held tightly, that he entered the room. “Talk to me, (Y/N), what’s going on? And I’m assuming this isn’t about a textbook.”
“It’s not,” (Y/N)’s broken voice peeped. “I screwed up, dad.”
Charlie sat beside her on the bed, wrapping his arms around her. She shifted her hold from the pillow to her father, enjoying the comforting warmth from his body, allowing it to ease the pain she felt. As she settled against him, he had started rubbing her back, letting her empty herself of tears on him.
“What happened, kiddo?” he said, trying his best to not let his voice break as he stared at his youngest daughter. It was the first time he had seen her so distraught, and it broke him just as much as he had broken when Bella had been in that kind of pain. “I’m sure we can fix whatever it is, but you’ve gotta talk to me, kid. I can’t fix it if you don’t talk.”
“You’re gonna hate me for it,” she sobbed. “And I can’t take you hating me, dad.”
“Honey, there is absolutely nothing in this world you can do that will ever make me hate you,” he said, staring deeply into her reddened eyes, a hand on her wet cheek. “Even if you tell me right now that you’ve killed someone, I could never hate you.”
“You can’t say that, dad,” she chuckled. “You’re the sheriff.”
“No, but it made you laugh,” he smiled. “Now, come on, tell me what’s wrong, (Y/N).”
(Y/N) finally sat up, unable to face her father as she confessed what happened. She could not witness the look of disappointment she was sure would befall on his face. “I found out I was pregnant tonight,” she sighed defeatedly. “I went to see the father when I told you I was going to Miriam’s house, but I caught him cheating and I couldn’t even tell him. And now, I’m pregnant and alone, and I don’t know what to do, dad. I’m so scared.”
Instead of anger and displeasure, her father surprised her by wrapping her in a tight embrace. He cooed her as she sobbed into the hug, letting herself fall apart in Charlie’s arms. She had been so sure that he would yell at her, chastise her for being a stupid child. But he had never been that type of man, and he never would be. “Oh, honey,” he said as he smoothed down her hair. “You’re not alone, kiddo. You’re never going to be alone in anything as long as I’m around.”
“I screwed up, dad,” she cried against his chest. “I don’t know what to do and I’m terrified.”
“Well, we’ll go to the doctor as soon as we can and we can weigh out your options,” he offered. “It’s up to you whether you wanna keep it, if you wanna give it up for adoption, or if you don’t wanna have it at all.”
“I don’t… I don’t think I wanna give it up, dad,” (Y/N) responded sheepishly. It was the first thing she had told herself. No matter what, she wanted to go through the pregnancy –with or without Paul. “Even if I have to do it by myself, I want to have this baby.”
“Again, you’re not alone, kid,” he smiled. “And if keeping the baby is what you want then that’s what we’ll do.”
“He’s right, (Y/N),” Bella added. She joined her father and sister on her bed, a soft smile stretching the corners of her mouth. “I know I haven’t been there for you for a while –I haven’t been me for a while—but you are never alone. You will always have us.”
“That’s right,” Charlie beamed, his two daughters wrapped in his arms. “We’ll take it one day at a time, kid. And let me know the kid’s name. I might have a way to scare him straight. You think a night in a jail cell would do?”
“That’s illegal, Charlie,” Bella laughed. “But, for him, I think it’s worth it.”
“He’s not worth even another thought,” (Y/N) joined. “But thank you for offering, dad.”
“Sure thing, kiddo,” he grinned. “Now, I’ll still make that doctor’s appointment as soon as possible and we’ll see what our next steps are. You’ll also have to tell your mom, but we can do that together. You should get some rest right now.”
“Thanks, dad. For everything.”
“You’re never alone, kid. I love you.”
“Love you too.”
“I’m so sorry this happened, (Y/N),” Bella said as soon as Charlie had left the room. “I should have prevented this.”
“There was no way you could have known, Bells,” she sighed. “Paul is just a wolf dressed in sheep’s clothing.”
“But I did know. Not about the cheating but that he was a bad guy. Jacob told me.”
At the sound of Jacob’s name, her heart panged. The very boy that had been in her head since she was little. The very boy that had run away from her only an hour before. “Don’t blame yourself,” she added. “I don’t think I would have listened to you. I was so blinded by him that I would have probably fought you about it. It’s on me that I didn’t see the signs.”
“No, (Y/N). It’s on him for being a shitty guy.”
“I guess,” she chuckled. “But I’ve also been a shitty person. I’ve been here for such a long time already and I haven’t gone to see Jake. I’m a horrible friend.”
“Unfortunately, that I can’t spin,” she grimaced. “But so is he. Contact goes both ways, and he hasn’t come to see you either. And he’s been avoiding me for a while too.”
“I saw him tonight,” she added meekly. “I almost ran him over.”
“You did?! What happened?”
“He ran away,” (Y/N) shrugged. “He stared at me for a second and then he ran.”
“That boy needs to stop disappearing like that,” she sighed. “He came over the other night. Told me he was avoiding me for a reason that he couldn’t explain. I’m gonna go confront him about it tomorrow.”
“Can I come? I think seeing you yell at him will cheer me up.”
“I think having you there will make him more nervous,” she grinned at her sister. “And I don’t know if that’s better or worse.”
“Why would he get nervous?” (Y/N) questioned, her curiosity quickly peaking. “It’s just me. Bella’s little sister.”
“Are you serious?”
Bella was staring at her like she had muttered the dumbest words she had heard, but she had only said what she truly believed. Jake had always had a crush on Bella and (Y/N) was just her little sister. “He’s always been in love with you, Bells,” she said. “It’s obvious.”
“Oh my god, you are serious,” Bella said in disbelief. “You know it’s you he’s always been in love with. It's so painfully obvious.”
“What’re you talking about? He was always hanging around you when we were there, he even sought you out when you came to live with Charlie. Sounds to me like he’s always crushed on you.”
“Okay, first of all, the only reason he was always hanging around me was when you were around. He only used me as an excuse,” she retorted. “And when I came to live in Forks you were the first thing he asked me about. He’s been in love with you since we were kids, (Y/N). I honestly can’t believe you never noticed.”
“How could I if I really thought he liked you?” the girl cried as she covered her face in embarrassment. “Oh god, I’m an awful person. The only reason I went after Paul was because I thought I had no chance with Jake. Now I’m definitely never gonna have it.”
“Why not? You’re a great catch.”
“I’m a single pregnant teen that hasn’t even finished high school,” she told her sister. “Sure, great catch.”
“You’re also kind, you’re smart, you’re beautiful, and anyone would be lucky to have you by their side,” Bella said with a smile. “And if Jake can’t see that then he’s not the right guy for you. It’s not like he’s the poster child for perfection.”
“But why would he ever be with me when I tried to replace him with Paul? Jake knew he was a bad guy and that I chose to be with Paul over him.”
“Look, I don’t know how tomorrow’s gonna go, but I think it’s best if you do come with me.”
“Why? What could go wrong?”
“Just rest tonight and I promise everything will be answered tomorrow.”
“Okay,” she responded, still not understanding her sister’s reluctance to answer. “Well then, good night, Bells. I’m grateful you’re my sister.”
“I’m grateful too, (Y/N). Good night.”
“Night.”
The next day couldn’t come soon enough.
(Y/N) had spent the whole night tossing and turning in her bed. The daunting realization that she was growing a human being inside her weighing on her like a thousand bricks. She was set on her decision. She wanted to keep the baby and she would do it without Paul. But he wasn’t the boy that was running through her head anymore. Instead, she could not stop thinking about what Bella had told her. She was still hesitant to believe that Jake loved her. He’d never given her any indication that he did, at least not ones she had noticed.
“Ready to go?” Bella asked, breaking (Y/N) out of her trance. “Got the car all warmed up already.”
“Yeah, just a sec.” The youngest Swan gave herself a once over, trying to look perfect. No, trying to look strong. “I’m ready.”
The sisters talked and laughed like they hadn’t the whole time they had been reunited with each other. They had both led such different lives at that point that it felt like they had abandoned the other. But that wasn’t far from the truth. At the end of the day, they would always have each other’s back.
Bella parked her truck near the Black’s house, killing the engine before she turned toward her sister. “Look, I don’t know how to explain this, but you might hear some things that sound almost made up,” she said. “But they’re not. As crazy as it might sound, they are 100% true.”
“What the hell are you talking about, Bella?”
“I just –ugh—I don’t know how to tell you this without sounding like I’ve lost my mind,” she said, her eyes begging her sister for reassurance. “But, if you really wanna be in Jake’s world, it’s only fair that you know the truth. About him… and even about Paul.”
“Paul? What do you know about Paul?”
“Do you remember the stories Billy used to tell us when we were little?” Bella started, carefully picking her next words. “The stories about the reservation and their ancestors?”
“Vaguely.”
“You remember the stories about wolves and cold ones, right?”
“Yeah,” she chuckled. “But those were just legends and stories to explain the divide between lands. What about them?”
“They’re real, (Y/N),” Bella finally admitted. “Every single thing that they told us is real.”
“Come on, Bella,” the girl smiled, not too convinced by her sister’s words. “You’re telling me that you dated a vampire. And, what? That Paul and Jake are werewolves? That’s completely fantastical. Vampires and werewolves aren’t real. Next thing you’re gonna tell me that the tooth fairy and Santa Claus exist?”
“I’m serious, (Y/N),” she said firmly, her sister’s laughter dying as soon as she looked into Bella’s eyes. “I’ve seen it. It’s real”
“So, you’ve seen Jake turning into a wolf and seen your ex drink blood? What about that doesn’t sound made up?”
“Fine,” she resigned. “If you don’t believe me. Maybe you’ll believe Jake. Now, come on.”
(Y/N) followed Bella to the red cabin, her words swimming around in her mind. Talk about the supernatural had never been something her sister had been interested in, and there she was claiming that it was all real. It couldn’t be. It was just too much.
“We need to see him,” Bella said as soon as Billy opened the door.
His eyes ran from her to (Y/N), thinking over what his response would be. “He’s not in,” the man responded.
But Bella would not give in. She knew better. “Okay, I’m sorry,” she said before stepping aside and pulling (Y/N) with her. “But we really need to see him.”
“Girls!”
(Y/N) didn’t understand what was happening. She felt like she was stuck in a bad dream where no one was making any sense. When her sister opened Jake’s bedroom door and she saw him sleeping, the girl felt her heart squeeze once more in her chest. Ever since their encounter the night before, it hadn’t stopped doing that. It hadn’t stopped calling for him.
“He looks exhausted,” (Y/N) whispered.
“I think I know why,” her sister muttered, her gaze falling on the four figures that were walking up to Jake’s house. “Wait here.”
“What why?” the younger girl questioned before following her sister’s sightline. “Why is Paul here?”
“If you still don’t believe me, you’ll believe me now.”
Bella marched out of the house, leaving her sister reeling with more and more questions.
“She told you,” Billy’s voice startled her. “You don’t believe her.”
His words seemed to want to be questions, but she could tell he was merely stating facts. “How can I, Billy?” she said. “We’re talking about the existence of supernatural creatures right in our backyard. Those things are stories you tell kids to feed their imagination. They can’t be real.”
“It is,” Jake’s voice joined. She turned to face him, any unease dissipating as she looked into his dark eyes. “I promise I’ll explain everything, but right now. I need to make sure your sister doesn’t get hurt.”
“What’re you…?”
Before she could finish talking, she heard her sister yelling outside. She followed Jacob out of the house, all in time to see Bella slapping Paul straight across the face. And everything that happened next seemed to muddle.
Where Paul stood in a split second was a silver-furred wolf baring its teeth toward her sister. Then, Jacob ran past her, jumping over Bella and transforming into a russet-colored wolf himself. The same wolf she had seen in her dream. The two animals fought each other, all teeth and claws, all snarls and growls. Even as it happened before her, it was still just as unbelievable.
Once the two wolves had disappeared into the tree line, did the older man of the group speak up. He told Jared and Embry –the two boys she had met that fateful day on the beach—to take her and Bella back to someone’s, named Emily, place. The duo quickly followed orders, jumping into the bed of Bella’s truck, never looking over to (Y/N).
The older Swan motioned for her sister to join them, telling her to get back in the car. But (Y/N) was still reeling. She still felt like she was trapped in a harrowing nightmare, waiting for the second she would wake up. All she could think of was the dream that had shaken her as she arrived in Forks. Because it hadn’t been a dream. It had been a premonition.
(Y/N) had yet to say a word, simply following the others to know what to do. Whatever they said or did, she wasn’t sure. The world around her had blurred and nothing made sense. At that moment, all she wanted was to know that Jacob was okay. The very fabric of what she knew reality to be had been changed and all she wanted to do was make sure that he was safe.
She didn’t even notice when she had entered the little house. Her gaze was far away, her mind completely disassociated from the situation. Emily, who she now knew was Sam’s fiancée and she couldn’t stare at, had offered her food or something to drink, but she couldn’t even respond. She simply shook her head and sunk into the background.
Everyone was speaking of werewolves and vampires like it was the most normal thing in the world, but it wasn’t, and (Y/N) knew that. And it seemed that Emily could tell that the girl was finding the information hard to digest.
“It gets easier,” she told her, breaking her out of her trance. “I know right now it might seem like nothing makes sense, but you get used to it.”
“I just saw two men rip their skin and turn into massive wolves,” (Y/N) finally spoke. “Don’t think I’ll ever get used to that.”
“I know how you’re feeling. When Sam told me for the first time, I was sure he had lost her mind,” she smiled. “Something tells me that once Jacob talks to you a lot of things will click into place.”
As Emily handed her a glass of water, Sam walked into the house, kissing her deeply. They were the definition of being in love. She couldn’t help but feel it when she saw them. It was what she had always dreamed of, and it was what she thought she had with Paul until the night before. It was what she had once wanted with Jacob too.
After Sam came Paul and Jacob. They were wearing matching scowls, walking as far from each other as possible. Paul entered the house, his eyes never landing on (Y/N)’s. Suddenly, the house went eerily quiet. Now knowing that they all shared thoughts, the girl knew that everyone was aware of what had happened between her and Paul.
(Y/N) felt like the walls were closing in on her and the looks of pity all the guys had given her finally made sense. She could barely breathe, and her heart hammered harshly in her chest. She needed to get out, she couldn’t be in the same space as him. Not right now. She tried to stumble out of the house, clutching at whatever she could to stabilize her body.
“Hey, (Y/N),” Bella tried to draw her attention, following her sister outside. “You’ve gotta breathe.”
But she couldn’t. Her lungs were aching, and her throat felt tight. Already, her vision was blurry with tears “I-I… I gotta…”
“Breathe, (Y/N). Breathe.”
“I can’t,” she struggled. “I-I… I can’t.”
Then, warm arms were wrapping around her, a hand running through her hair. “You’re okay, (Y/N),” Jake whispered. “I need you to breathe with me, okay?”
She nodded softly, her sobs choking her. Still, she followed the movement of Jacob’s chest, taking shaky breaths in and blowing them out seconds after. They could have been there forever and (Y/N) would have never known how much time had actually passed. But at some point, her breathing stabilized and she felt like her body was functioning properly.
“There you go,” Jacob smiled. “See? You’re okay.”
“I think I’m going crazy,” she chuckled dryly. “Nothing makes sense.”
“Let’s go for a walk, okay?” She nodded in response. “We’ll talk later, Bella.”
“Yeah, go ahead,” she said. “Make sure she’s okay. I have some words for someone else right now.”
Jake and (Y/N) walked side by side, neither daring to say the first word. The truth was, there was just too much unsaid between them and they had no idea where to start. There had already been so much change in a day that they didn’t know how much they could take.
“I’m sorry, (Y/N),” Jake finally spoke. “Firstly, for the way you found out about all of this. And secondly, for me running away last night. I’m sure you have a million questions.”
“I do,” she chuckled, staring down at the way the creek they were walking through rushed beneath her feet. “But I also want to apologize for not going to see you as soon as I got her. I actually tried… that’s when I met Paul.”
“You have nothing to apologize for, (Y/N). I didn’t seek you out either and I’ve been beating myself about it ever since,” he sighed. “I should have told you about Paul. I should have protected you from him, but I didn’t, and he broke your heart.”
“It’s not on you, Jake. It’s not on anyone but him. He knew what he was doing and that’s that,” she said. “But I don’t really want to talk about him. I want to know about everything else. You’re a werewolf.”
“Last time I checked, yeah,” he chuckled. “Only a few people in the tribe have the gene. It gets triggered when there are vampires in the area.”
“Bella’s ex and their family.”
“Yeah, and any that are passing by,” he confirmed. “Our job is to protect people from them. We keep it a secret because of the treaty our ancestors made with them decades ago. We can’t reveal their identity and we can’t reveal ours without revealing theirs. And people can’t fear what they don’t know of. ”
“Then, did they break the treaty by telling Bella?”
“They didn’t tell her about us, I kind of did,” he continued. “I was ordered to cut ties with her, but I couldn’t so I pointed her in the direction of the truth. She found out all by herself.”
“So, Bella knowing I understand. She already had knowledge of this whole world from that Edward guy,” (Y/N) started. “But why me? Why am I allowed to know all this? It can’t possibly be because she took me to your place. Billy would have stopped me from going outside but he didn’t.”
Jacob stopped in his tracks. That was the moment the truth needed to come out. He had to confess everything he’d ever felt for her and how the universe had decided to make it an unbreakable thing. All he hoped was that she didn’t push him away after.
“Being a shifter comes with more things than the ability to transform into a wolf,” he started, finally facing her. “You get superhuman strength and speed; you heal faster; you basically stop aging. And you gain the ability to imprint on someone.”
“Imprint?” (Y/N) questioned looking into his eyes for the first time since she had left the cabin. “What is that?”
“In the simplest of terms, it’s basically the moment you lay eyes on your soulmate,” he continued. His heart was beating faster, and he was sure his skin was flushing to a deep shade of red. “It's not like love at first sight, really. It's more like gravity shifts all of a sudden. You’re not bound to the earth anymore, you’re bound to that person. You become whatever they need. A friend, a brother, a partner.
When I ran into you last night, when you almost ran me over with your car…”
“Sorry about that,” she chuckled. “That would have been horrible bad luck. To run you over with a car you fixed.”
“Eh, I would have healed,” he smiled. He was glad to see her lighter. Her laughter, the most beautiful music to his ears. “But when we looked into each other’s eyes I imprinted on you. That’s why I ran. That and the fact that I knew Paul had hurt you. I could feel your pain and your sadness, and as much as I wanted to comfort you, I needed to give him a piece of my mind.
But I should have stayed with you. I should have told you everything that I’m about to tell you now.
I love you, (Y/N). I’m in love with you and I have been since I even knew what love was. I have wanted to tell you since I gave you that whittled wolf I made, but I never had the courage to. And even if you don’t feel the same for me, I need you to know that, with or without the imprint bond, you have been and always will be it for me. My heart has been yours since the moment our dad’s brought us together and it will be yours until the day I die.”
Tears were now falling from (Y/N)’s eyes. She had waited for so long to hear those words and it made her heart swell as she finally did. But she feared he would take them back as soon as she told him the truth. Imprint bond or not, no teenager wanted to become a father, especially of someone else’s baby.
“You say that because you don’t know everything,” she sobbed, turning her back to him. “There’s another reason why I was crying last night that has nothing to do with Paul cheating.”
“(Y/N), nothing you say will change what I feel for you,” Jake said, running his hands over her arms. He tried to turn her back around, but she wouldn’t budge. “What is it, huh? Just tell me, (Y/N).”
“I’m pregnant, Jake,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper. “And I’m keeping it. And Paul has no idea. I went to tell him as soon as I found out and caught him with someone else. I don’t even know if he would care that the baby is his.”
“Is that all?” Jacob asked softly. “You think that’s enough to change my mind?”
“It would change anyone’s mind, Jake!” (Y/N) flipped around. Her eyes were red and streaming out tears faster than she could stop them. “We’re only sixteen. The last thing in our minds should ever be starting a family. We should be thinking about what college we’re going to or what countries we want to see, not about shitty diapers and feeding schedules.
What is happening is happening to me. I’m the one that’s pregnant and I can’t burden you with someone else’s child. I can’t do that to you. Why would you ever be okay with any of this?”
“Because it’s you,” he smiled. “And why do you think you or that baby could ever be a burden to me?” His hand cradled her cheeks, his thumbs wiping away the streaks that stained her skin. “I want everything that comes with being with you. The good, the bad, and the ugly. You’re all I’ve ever wanted, (Y/N). And I meant it when I said that there’s absolutely nothing you could do or say that would change that.”
“But I can’t do that to you,” she repeated, her voice breaking in pain. “I can’t do that to someone I love.”
Jacob’s mouth stretched into a wide smile, his eyes searching hers for any sign of deception, but it wasn’t there. All he saw was a girl in love that had been broken by someone else. “You love me?” he asked happily. “Is that what you said?”
“Of course, I love you, Jake,” she smiled softly, the tears still falling from her eyes. “I’ve loved you for so long it hurts. And that’s why it’ll hurt more to let you go.”
“(Y/N), I need you to listen to me and know in your heart that what I am telling you is the absolute truth,” he said lovingly but sternly. He needed her to believe him. He had lost her once and he would never do it again. “I want you. I want all that comes with being with you. I want to be there when you start showing; I want to be there when you go to the doctor; I wanna be there when that baby comes into this world, and I will be there every moment after. I will love that child as if it was mine because it’s part you –it’s already perfect.”
“You really mean that,” she smiled. Her hands were placed on his chest, her eyes gazing into the dark brown of his. “Why? Why do you care about me so much? I don’t deserve it.”
“You deserve the entire universe, (Y/N),” he beamed. “You deserve love and happiness, and I know I can give that to you.”
All the younger girl could do was smile as she stared up at him. If she had been dreaming, she did not want to wake up. Not now. Not after the nightmare was over. She needed to prove to herself that she was awake.
She stood on her tiptoes, stretching as far as she could while she pulled Jacob down by his shirt. She crashed her lips onto his and allowed herself to get lost in that moment. Everything around them stopped. The ocean had quieted, the wind had stopped blowing, and the sun had stopped beating on their skin. It was them and only them at that moment, surrounded only by their love and affection for each other.
“Thank you, Jake,” she smiled as they finally broke apart, their foreheads pressing against each other. “You have no idea how long I’ve waited to hear those words.”
“I think I have some idea,” he chuckled. “I have been waiting since we were kids to tell you.”
“Maybe we wouldn’t be in this mess if either of us had,” she teased. “But, honestly, I would have it any other way.”
“I love you, (Y/N),” he said before kissing her once more. “I love you today, tomorrow, and forever.”
“Well, I love you more. And I don’t think I’ll ever be able to show you just how much.”
As they walked back to the cabin, Jake’s arm draped over her shoulders, (Y/N) stopped in her tracks suddenly.
“What’s wrong?” Jake worried. “You feeling okay?”
“I haven’t thought of this, but what if Paul does want to be in this baby’s life? I mean, he has no idea that I’m pregnant.”
“Doesn’t matter,” he smiled. “If he does, he’ll have a lot to make up for. And I’ll make sure he is very apologetic for what he’s done.”
“You can’t just go around fighting him you know?” (Y/N) laughed.
“Don’t worry. He knows not to confront me with his fists –or paws—anymore.”

I think this post will be with little to no surprise for most people, but I still want to talk about the transition that is happening with this blog (and with me). I know most people currently following me will have followed me for dreamcatcher, and I genuinely cherish a lot of moments I spent here in this fandom, one of the things that made my time here so much fun was exactly sharing it with you, laughing with you, hearing your feedback and opinions on situations we were going through, etc. I have a lot of regrets regarding my teens and my early 20′s, but I don’t have regrets in regards to the last few years that I spent with dreamcatcher. they actually pushed me to do a lot of cool things, to be more independent, I drove an hour ride by myself back in 2018 to see them, booked flights and hotels on my own, hell I even ordered a cake for siyeon and got it delivered back in 2019 and we all got to sing her happy birthday while they were on stage thanks to that. I’ve made so many friends that I’ve gotten to meet in real life, I’ve made friends that I know are going to be for life and I’m so eternally grateful that I got to cross paths with them thanks to dc. I’m so proud of so many things I did, as well as we all accomplished together for them. I have no hard feelings towards them, nor do I feel bitter about how things could have been. at this point in my life, I just feel like my time in the fandom has just naturally run its course. just like I’ve seen it happen to a lot of my friends in the last couple years. losing two pets last year also changed a lot of things around me, and it changed me a lot too, and I just feel like dc aren’t a priority for me anymore. I’ve finally let go of the expectations that I felt I had on me in regards to them, genuinely other than some things my friends send me here and there, I haven’t been keeping up with them anymore. and I don’t feel like I have to. they’ve changed a lot as well in the last 2/3 years, so in a way it kinda feels like we’ve just grown apart, and I’m okay with that. I know I’ve gone on deleting rampages before, but I promise that all the content I’ve done for dc here will remain available, like I mentioned, I don’t have any sore feelings about the last couple of years. this isn’t to say that I’ll never blog about dreamcatcher again, or make content for them ever again, I still enjoy their music a lot, but they won’t be my main focus anymore. anyway, I know it’s not that deep, this is just tumblr, but I did do a lot to try to help build a community for dc’s fandom here, help the fandom and dc grow, etc, so I feel like I owe that part of my life a proper farewell, even if it’s not a definitive one. when I first got into dreamcatcher, I became their fan with the mentality that I would stick around for as long as it made sense to me, and I just feel like that time has come (in regards to dc and kpop in general tbh). It’s truly been a blast to be a part of their growth all these years <3 for anyone that started following me recently because of them, I’m sorry I guess, if you wanna stick around for xena, warrior nun, and any other stuff I’m finding interesting at the moment, feel free. if not, it’s been nice to cross paths with you and I wish you the best ✌️😎

nct: sunflowers attacking dream over recent haechan live ☠
tldr: during haechan’s recent welive he said he permed his hair & dream "thought something was wrong" with it so he got it straightened again. some sfs/hc solos started losing their damn minds over that🤕 he also talked a lot abt music he wants to release and highkey called sm out, and all of this got the sunflower girlies real mad i guess..
so earlier haechan went live on weverse and was talking about dream's reaction to him perming his hair:
some sfs went kinda insane over this☠
like woah..? how did we go from 1 to 100☠ i cant even tell whos a solo, a unitzen, or a dream anti thats how bad it is..
and when dreamzens started ratioing these folk, this person said its hypocritical for them to say psychoanalyzing is weird when drmzens did the same to 127 with their constant coworker allegations
idk what they were tryna say here like okay..?? then yall both freaks☠
☆ my opinion
icl and say i’ve been keeping up w this 284828483 year old unitzen drama but i do remember the coworker allegations the last person was talking about, it got really bad at one point, however that doesnt excuse the INSANITY that is going on here. inserting urself into this big ole grown man’s relationships and acting like hes some kind of poor bullied people pleaser who can’t make any choices for himself is so crazy PLEASE wake up. if any of yall lewsers read past the first line of those translations youd see he agreed and said he also didn’t like the way the perm came out (bc the back was all curly and his bangs weren’t)☠️ imagine getting ur hair done and looking crazy, so u listen to ur homeboys and get it fixed but ur deranged 70 hour sceentime having ass fans start acting like they punched u unconscious, strapped u to a chair and straightened it themselves.. id smoke a pack the size of both koreas too if my stans were so insufferable like dont embarass me.. all y’all doing is exposing u have absolutely zero friends bc ive never seen a more normal interaction between groupmates☠️
but all this lowkey feels like a reaction to some of the things hc said concerning music/solo scheds during the live. its obvious that sm is in fact sabotaging him bc ur telling me 8 years in, as one of nct's strongest vocalists and a popular member, he hasn't released any proper solo music despite wanting to..??? and is still getting micromanaged this far into his career? if 2+2 is 4 um...
like i thought after a certain amount of time idols start having more of their own creative/appearance direction like with bts, seventeen etc. i guess it might be bc those groups make a lot self written music but still..? doesnt hyuck write music too? to have a star on ur hands like this and fumble is so crazy to me, theres no other explanation than they want him to stay local and not get too big for the brand since hes one of the centers in nct.
but girl bye.. if they let his fame grow, all they'd have to do is treat him properly and he wouldn't want to leave they wack ass company. they just dont want him to have a choice☠ now they got him on lock bc they dont know how to act right. im not condoning anything but i really do understand why so many haechan/nct solos in general exist.. it all starts & ends with sm's fuckassery cause if my biases got steady treated like garbage id get hostile towards ANYONE in and out of the group too like..
anyways had to wake this tea up🤕 haechan deserves better everything i fear. better company, better fans, but NOT a better group. he loves those boys down and all of them are highkey in the same boat but saying that on unitzentwt will get you SHOT. stay strapped in these streets..

He actually doesn’t know how to Whistle
So there’s been a questionaire thing going around @sonic-oc-showdown, and since i love fucking TALKING about my little guy, i decided to take a crack at it myself!
Name: Whistle the Wolf
Species: Wolf
Type: Never really thought about it, but he would most likely be Power.
Alignment: Lawful good
Home: Spiral Hill Village
More under the cut!!! 👇
- How did you come up with the OC’s name?
I had already come up with the idea of a Whisper & Tangle fankid, but i wasn’t sure what to name him. I wanted it to match Whisper’s somewhat, so naturally, i looked up “verbs that begin with w.” And, fortunately, i realized that “Whistle” would be a perfect name. In-universe however, the background to his name is that when he was a little pup, Whisper would lull him to sleep by whistling.
- How old are they? (Or approximate age range)
14, though i’ve thought about making him just a year older, to match Tangle in canon (this AU takes place 20 years after canon).
- Do they have any love interest(s)?
Actually, yes! I’m working on the story right now, but basically, spiral hill gets a newly constructed library, and when Whistle visits it, he comes across Arvic, a lemming who works there. The two guys become friends and gradually get gay, idk i haven’t finalized the plot yet. Unfortunately, Arvic has no design as of right now.
- What is their favourite food?
I haven’t thought about that, but i wrote a fic where its mentioned that Whisper makes beef stew that Smithy taught her the recipe for. I think that might be his favourite meal.
- What do they do for a living?
I imagine he goes to school, but otherwise he doesn’t really do anything for a living. He does have a promising future in baseball though, having discovered it thanks to Sonic.
- Do they have any hobbies?
I’d say most of all, Whistle loves playing baseball. As mentioned just prior, he discovered it after he saw Sonic playing it once when the wolf was little. Since then he’s been obsessed, having grown to be a pretty good batter. Whistle also loves adventuring and being outside in general, much like his mom Tangle.
- What do they do best?
Honestly, just being a cheerful little guy. Much like Tangle, he’s super optimistic, but not blindly cheerful either.
- What do they love to do? What do they hate to do?
Well, he loves baseball, he loves hanging out with his moms & the wisps, likes being at the library (both because of a crush and because he’s into comics) and he likes helping people and being a hero! Even if he’s relatively inexperienced with the last thing.
There isn’t a lot of stuff he HATES, but the main thing would probably be involuntarily sitting still. He has no problem with it when he feels like it, but whenever he wants to, for example, go outside but the weather is bad, he becomes REALLY bored REAL quickly.
- What is one of your OC’s best memories?
Uhhhh, kinda tough question. (I guess spoilers for my fic Transcendental youth) when Tangle & Whisper gifted him his own diamond cutters mask.
- What is one of your OC’s worst memories?
Probably when Mimic disguised himself as Whistle infront of the wolf, and proceeded to gradually look more and more mutilated. Poor boy saw his own mutilated corpse taunt him, basically.
- Is their current design the first one?
Hm, that’s kind of difficult to answer. I always had a specific idea for what he would look like, but i can’t draw at all, so i could never really finalize his design. Fortunately though, @sunsetcorvid decided to be an absolute fuckin champ, and draw Whistle. And even though he didn’t come out exactly how i was thinking, i actually think sunsetcorvid fucking nailed the design, and i think it looks better than my original vision. So, i guess, no...? not really his first design...? but also kinda...?
- What originally inspired the OC?
Well, i think Whisper and Tangle are a really cute couple, and the aforementioned Sunsetcorvid had made their own fankid for the couple, Toon (Who is in this tournament!!!), who i really liked. Then, months later, i saw @head---ache‘s own whispangle fankid, Aim, and i decided “okay i gotta make one myself.” I kind of went with the opposite of Aim’s main characteristics, (Looks like Tangle, but is a lot more like Whisper in personality) cause i thought it would be interesting. And it was! i love hte little guy i’ve created!!
- What genre do they belong in?
Probably like a sweet family-action movie.
- What is your OC’s gender identity and sexuality?
He’s a cis guy, and i’m relatively sure he’s gay. Haven’t given it a ton of thought, but that’s what i’m going with rn.
- How many siblings does your OC have?
None! As of right now, at least >:) (I don’t have any plans to give Whistle a sibling as of right now, but it could be fun!)
- What is the OC’s relationship with their parents like?
Whistle loves his moms, and even though he feels like they’re a bit overprotective sometimes, he appreciates them a lot. It’s overall just really sweet and healthy :)
- How often do you draw/write about the OC?
I write about him fairly often! I have one fic that’s all about him at around 10k words, and another fic that has him as a supporting character. Right now i’m writing one where he gets a boyfriend >:D
- Do you ever see yourself killing off your OC?
NEVER.
Does your OC have any specific phobias?
None that i can think of right now, but i could be misremembering.
- Who is your OC’s arch-nemesis or rival?
Mimic. To be specific, in the 20 years that took place after canon, Mimic tried to kill Tangle and Whisper a bunch of times and got his ass beat every single time, so eventually he just kinda gave up and stayed in jail, knowing he couldn’t beat them. However, he found out about Whistle’s existence, and on the wolf’s 14th birthday, escapes prison to kill the wolf, in order to make Tangle and Whisper miserable. Yeah, he’s a real ass. Whistle’s able to handle himself though.
- How long have you had your oc?
Hard to say EXACTLY how long, but the first chapter of Transcendental youth, my introduction fic to him, was uploaded on the 5th of february.
- What are your OC’s powers, if they have any?
While he doesn’t have any natural powers like Tangle’s tail, Tails makes him a special kind of baseball bat called “the shifting slugger” for Whistle’s birthday. In short, it’s basically a variable wispon but melee. It has different effects for different wisps, such as: Cyan makes him able to shoot lightning out of the bat, green makes him able to float very similarly to the wispon, blue extends the reach of the weapon, pink adds on a chainsaw-like blade, and orange adds little jet thrusters onto the bat, making it able to swing at ridiculous velocities.
Oh, and i also forgot, he has a fairly high level of chaos energy, and with some help from Amy, manages to learn how to utilize hammer space.
Anyways, i think thats it!!!

rant on the g3nshin community + ship discourse. feel free to ignore xo. idk if i actually need to “censor” words on tumblr but i’m gonna anyway sorry /gen. “y’all” is used as a general “you” and not to anyone specific. also heterophobia does NOT exist don’t try to bring that bullshit here. also ETA this rant was made before the 4.2 archon quest
the g3nshin fandom as a whole has a HUGE problem with biphobia, and hypocrisy tbh. like other than the ob3y me fandom, i’ve never seen such blatant biphobia. your faves can be in a mlm/wlw ship and be bisexual. they can be in a het-passing ship and be bisexual. or t4t, etc.
like twt is a hellhole in itself, but it is MASSIVELY toxic and weird how some of y’all act about certain ships that aren’t even implied.
y’all will go on about how “amazing” rarepairs are if they’re wlw/mlm, and you’ll ship characters who barely or don’t even interact. and that in itself is NOT problematic!! i’m a rarepairs fan too.
but i literally saw someone mention how “gross” Focalors x Neuvillette is. even tho… they’re both grown adults, and Furina isn’t depicted like a child like Nahida (who is also hundreds of years old, but is shown as a child). like if you don’t see them romantically/see them more like family, that’s fine!! that’s valid!! but nowhere is it implied, hinted or outright said that they’re like/are family (like Diluc and Kaeya, Jean and Barbara, Albedo and Klee, etc.). so like,, What. please remember to differentiate your hcs from canon 😭 like i personally see Ganyu and Xiao as a family with Zhongli, but if you wanna ship them idrc. cuz they’re all pretty much the same age (fought together during the Archon War). like that’s a non problematic ship right there.
y’all shipped so many characters before they were even released (ex wriolette, chlorivia, which are valid in their own right btw), but how dare people ship Wriothesley and Chlorinde (for example) instead /sarc. like,, the two characters who DID have more screen time with each other than with their “fandom popular s/o” (Wriothesley is probably an exception tbh).
and again, the biphobia. if you don’t like m/f or het-passing ships, fine whatever that’s you. but to automatically assume we think a character is straight, or to ignore bi headcanons is just,, really weird. you don’t have to like or agree with them either, but to say “eww why did you make them straight” is just weird too 💀
this is not me trying to dictate what you can and can’t ship (if you’re a pr0shit then stay away obviously). this is just me ranting about the hypocrisy many g3nshin fans have :/
and don’t get me wrong, there’s a LOT of homophobia towards mlm/wlw ships too. but i’ve seen a recent rise in weird ass takes on non-problematic ships just bc you don’t like them… and while i am on the “just block and move on” side, some people DO go out of their way to leave behind weird comments when they don’t need to
#ren rants#cw biphobia#g3nshin community rant#there was a whole ordeal in the hsr community too#fights between kafblade and kafhime#like guys they all have two hands#also hi3 himeko is apparently canonically bisexual#stop erasing bi canon :)#i found this is more of a problem on twt than tumblr#which tracks tbh#but i don’t use tumblr enough to really say#anyway biphobes can fuck off
