I do not have any animosity towards people who share the same faves as me!! On the contrary, I LOVE finding other Jack enjoyers and going crazy about him with them!! It's comforting to know there are other people who love him as much as I do 🥹

I always considered myself selective sharing somewhat, just because I don't particularly have strong feelings towards other yumes? I don't usually go out on my way to follow every yume acc I see, I mostly stay in my own circle of mutuals and if people are nice to me and my ships, I'll be nice to them and their own ships in return. (Luckily most Jack yumes I come across are very chill and lovely!)

But the sentiment is a bit more different when it comes to Leona 💦 I'm a Leona liker since 2020 (he was actually a fave before Jack lol) but till this day I don't feel as comfortable lovemailing him the way I do with Jack. Popular character tends to get... more extreme fans 💦It always seemed to me that the Leona fandom (stans/ccxcc shippers/yumes) is at constant war with each other? One wrong interpretation or HC and people will say you're mischaracterizing him or are media illiterate. The vast majority of Leona yumes (at least the ones I come across) seem to be selective/non-sharing too. It makes me feel like I'm walking in a minefield, you know 😭💦

I recently had an unpleasant experience with a mutual on another soc media who is a Leona yume. They always seemed supportive of my art and my Jack yume, but the moment I posted yume art with Leona (the first one in over 2 years), they soft-blocked me. Sooooo as someone going into fields that contain biology I think it's time we talk about how we see it from a fully male perspective. I'm really sorry if this is long or doesn't make a lot of sense but I just have some thoughts about the community that I have gotten hate for previously and I just need to vent. I'm older I'm 28 so I know I don't fit in very well, but I grew up on tumblr and I have found myself becoming more and more disillusioned with this community lately to the point where I'm not sure why I'm still here. I think I'm just sticking around out of concern at this point. Its hard. There are very solid and good arguments for having a space where you can talk about your unhealthy coping mechanisms or lifestyle and not be judged. It's almost like a form of therapy, and especially if people can give you advice on how to stay safer while doing these things it can be really helpful. At the same time though I've noticed that a lot of this seems quite performative in this community. Much so as in the early 2000s on this website with the proana community romanticizing specifically anorexia to the point that people would very commonly post prayers to Ana. It became almost like a religion or cult within itself. I don't think it's at that point yet and I know thats a bit of an extreme metaphor but I do think that a lot of the eds and sh and alcoholism is almost becoming competitive on here. Ive seen people answer asks about how to cut deeper or things of that nature which is alarming to me. Im really torn. I want people to have a space, but I also have the foresight as an adult to know that this space is hurting them mentally because I'm older. People think I'm an asshole when I say that the teenagers on jiraiblr will grow up and realize that the community really fucked them up but I fully and truly believe that. A lot of older people who were on things like myproana or sh forums grew up and realized those forums made things worse for us and made it harder for us to recover and told us repeatedly its okay to never recover you dont have to recover. But this idea that its okay not to ever recover came back to bite us. Im torn. I think that it is kind of shitty to force people to recover and I think its shitty to say people can't do anything but post recovery content, but on the other hand once we reached the ages of around 23-27 on the ED forum... I watched a lot of my friends cling to their mental illnesses and it killed them. I watched the friends I had been counting calories with have heart complications and experience heart attacks at the age of 24. I watched the friends I had been sharing bodychecks with reach a point in their life where they could not do anything. They desperately wanted to be able to get a job and live their life and do what they wanted but their illnesses had become so bad that they could not do these things, some of them were hospitalized repeatedly, some of them had to live with their parents into their 30s, some of them desperately wanted to recover and had reached a point where they just couldn't and they withered away. I had a friend that I was talking to one night they were self harming and they told me that they were, and I did too at the time so I jokingly told them to send me photos. She severed a nerve and shortly after killed herself after coming to the full realization that she had taken away her own ability to use her hand.

Its just very sad and it hurts me to see this and I worry for the kids here. Especially the ones who run the kangel or ame blogs and try their best to play that role. I know at first they're being hyperbolic and trying to play that role, but over time that's going to become part of their daily speak and it's going to hurt them. "Fake it until you make it" works in both directions.

I dont know just I guess... know that if no one else I care about you and I worry about you and... I guess that's it. Sorry this is so jumbled

So I think you need to lessen so much attention on Box office and whether or not that makes you an A-lister. It's when you're a household name that makes you an A-lister...whether every film you do is a "hit" or not imo. I think having your films do well at the box office are GREAT, and that def factors into it, but also so do award wins and nominations (don't discredit them also! It gives you exposure to more people knowing your name as well). But you don't ALWAYS have to have films doing tons of money at the box office in order to be seen as an "A-lister". To me, ALL actors have their merits and things that I enjoy about them. I don't feel like I need to pick and choose one actor over another. That's silly. 🙄 I wouldn't want to live in a world where there was just ONE actor. I, personally, LOVE variety.

My only point in my earlier post is that I don't think that we can be so rigid in our definition of what a "movie star" is, because imo, there are MANY factors that go into making what one would call a "movie star" and especially an A-lister. We can see this when we look at movie stars of the past. We also have to keep in mind that society in general has changed, and social media has also changed a lot.

Another thing...An A-lister is someone who's bankable, yes, but it's also someone who has been nominated for awards, or even won awards. Look at Cruise, Hanks, Denzel, Julia, etc. All of those actors have been nominated or won awards. It's part of what makes them the A-list. They're highly sought after for roles, and they have made some great career choices in their filmography. They've also had flops (EVERY actor has a flop) so it's not like they had a hit every single time. They're usually also very likable, charming, and just have star quality. It's not smthg you can put your finger on. There are MANY factors, in other words.

Anyway..... With that said....

Summary: Promising that you two are each others nemisis' in life, when a battle of the bands competition comes to town neither of you will stand down to prove who is the better of the two.

A/N: I guess I'm out of retirement for now. I will not promise that I'll be consistent tho. And as much as i've read a CRAP TON of eddie fics, i dont know if i have his character down so you guys can be the judge of that.

It was an easy call. You could tell. There was no way your band could not have won this. You looked towards Munson, him doing the same as he gave you a smug smirk. He thinks he’s hot shit doesn’t he? You scoffed and turned back to your bandmates.

Everyone couldn’t help the tension that was in the air. As much as you believed your band had won, there was still the chance that munson could. You realized that at this point, you didnt care for the prize money, or the chance to record or the fact that this could be the launching pad for you and the band. What mattered the most was to beat Eddie Munson. 

You still sat on top of the cases that were backstage, arms crossed as your one leg jittered in anxiety. Your bandmates have gone off to kill time around the club as the results wouldn’t be in for who knows how much longer. You didn’t want to move. You wanted to be right there when they called you up, shaking the judges hands, a huge check in your arms as you smiled at the crowd where the bright lets couldn’t let you make out their faces and in the background, Eddie, with the poutiest face he could muster. His big brown eyes downcasted, his dumb pretty lips puckered because he finally had a taste of bitter lose.

You were getting lost in your fantasies. Enough so that you didn’t notice that your self proclaimed nemesis was heading your way. Your lovely fantasy was cut short once you heard him speak. “Ssssooooo, how’s it going?” You frowned at his presence.

“I’m sorry but what do you want?” He raises his hands in defense as he does in his theatrical ways. “Easy sweetheart. No need to get hostile. I’d say that we’re at a stand-still at the moment.” He looks at you softly. The first time you’ve ever seen him do that. You’re frown lightens up as you had a feeling that this was a moment where he was wanting to be serious.

He gestures towards the empty space next to you to which you nod in acceptance. He smells of sweat and beers and something else that you couldn’t help but feel enticed in. “I, uh, just wanted to say that…” he was looking around the room, maybe searching for the words he wanted to say or searching for the courage to actually say them, you weren’t sure but they were words you’d never thought he’d say. Eddie looked down and huffed out the breath he was holding. “I wanted to say that I’m sorry I dissed on your kind of music…I was wrong. I kinda…went and listened to some and…It’s actually kinda bad ass.”

Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion. No way… “Wait, are you screwing with me right now?”

“No, no, no, no, no,” He shakes his scraggly head which somehow only makes his hair look much better than before. “I can assure you, darling that this is in no way that I am yanking your chain.” He gives you a lopsided smile. “I took a listen to one of the bands thats on your jacket…Out of curiosity aaaannnndddd, well, I actually dig them. Somehow.”

You leaned in with a skeptical look. “Oh yeah? Which one?” 

“Hmmmmmm, that one.” He touched the patch that was right on your shoulder.”

“The Misfits? You actually like them?” You said in an exasperated tone.

“Mmhm. Oh yeah. Their little logo was just a taste of what they actually are but Die, Die My Darling…” He gave you a thumbs up in reference to the song. You sat there surprised, shocked even that he would go out of his way to listen to music that he said were for “whiny pussies”. 

“Why? Why would you go listen to music you said sucked?” You were confused. At the beggining it was just about who had the better band, then it turned into a feud after you insulted each other on the type of music you each listed to. It became personal then. So then why now would he tell that he’s changed his mind? 

Eddie looked down while he played with the rings on his fingers. “I was too harsh…I dont know why I said that. I guess maybe it was just all in the heat of the moment but I was wrong. I of all people should know how important and meaningful the music you listen to is.”

You were quiet after that. That…was actually sweet… “I’m sorry too, Eddie. Metallica’s actually pretty cool.” You both look each other in the eyes for once after all this time and smile a peaceful smile. You would never tell this to anyone in the whole wide world but right now Eddie Munson looked so pretty that you could feel your heart play skip rope inside. 

“Well, maybe after one of us wins and this feud is finally laid to rest, may I take this opportunity to present you with a peace offering m’lady?” You give a chuckle at his dumb antics as he holds out his hand for you to lay yours on top of.

“And what exactly is this peace offering if I may ask?”

“A jam session at my place? You grab your guitar and I’ll grab mine and we just go at it?” You pretend to have a thoughtful look on your face.

“On one condition…You teach me how to play that cool solo you just did.” you smirk knowing all too well that saying that would inflate his ego.

ok so, i just analyzed kageyama's birth chart! 

i made this out of pure entertainment, boredom and curiosity and i don't actually believe that astrology works on fictional characters (i even have my doubts that astrology defines one person's personality since i'm inclined to traditional astrology, but anyway, this is only for fun purposes aand it's very superficial and not supposed to be taken seriously as an astrology work!!) i'm also not the type of fan who knows every single detail about a character or who remembers every single appearances and lines so i probably won't go too deep into examples...

kageyama's official birth date is 22/12/1996 and he's from miyagi, okinawa. with this information only we can already identify most of his chart: he's a capricorn sun, capricorn mercury, sagittarius venus, virgo mars, capricorn jupiter and aries saturn (i dont use neptune, uranus or pluto). being born on that day, he could either be a taurus or a gemini moon, and, of course, there's no information about the time he was born, so his ascendant is also a guess. i tried to find a solution based on the chart as a whole, and i think it makes a lot of sense!!

first thing i wanted to look for was a placement that talked about his sport skills. being sports a matter of the 5th house, it seemed clear to me that that's where his sun should be placed. the sun represents life. in one's chart, it talks about our ego, our conscious identity, and it's placement tells us where we shine, where we direct our creative life force. for mundane astrology the sun represents the authority of the state, the government - presidents, nobles, and kings. kageyama is called "the king of the court". to me there's no doubt that his sun should be at the 5th house - where he rules, where his light shines brighter, where his will to live is directed.

if so, considering the whole signs house system, we get a virgo ascendant (house I), and so on: libra (II), scorpio (III), sagittarius (IV), capricorn (V), aquarius (VI), pisces (VII), aries (VIII), taurus (IX), gemini (X), cancer (XI) and leo (XII).

it was also very convincing to me that this would also place his mars on the ascendant (virgo). being the 1st house the part of the chart that talks about our physical body, and mars talking about a person's vitality, people with mars on the ascendant or even opposite to it (VII) usually tend to push their physical body to its limit, being pretty driven to physical activities (we can clearly see that on the way kageyama and hinata always stay until very late practicing at the club, for example... kageyama’s often seen running on his free time too). it would also make a lot of sense considering his appearence (both physical and the impression he gives off) and the way he acts. mars is the planet of war. it is violence, action. people with mars on the ascendant can easily give off an intimidating appearence or presence. being a capricorn on top of that, there's no escape: that's the famous resting bitch face..... he's energetic, straightforward, competitive and independent. and that also explains the way he can become pretty agressive sometimes, mostly regarding his competitiveness and his desire to be on top. i also found it funny that while i was looking up for kageyama's birth date i came across a few descriptions of him talking about his "sharp glare", and sharp objects are also a matter of mars. about the placement on virgo, the ascendant also talks about how perfectionist he is, including his appearence (he's always filing his nails, for example, and he's never negligent about his health. actually he takes it very seriously), and mars in this sign, besides the already mentioned perfectionism, is also about being very goal-oriented and critical. it's also interesting, if we play a little with words, that virgo's symbology talks a lot about serving, and kageyama's position as a setter is about "serving" the best tosses to his teammates, besides being his serve one of his strongest weapons.

on 22/12/1996, there were 2 times when the ascendant was in virgo: around midnight and around 10pm - 11pm. but the problem is, around midnight his moon would be taurus; around 10pm his moon would be gemini. once again, the placement of the moon made my mind. for a taurus moon, it'd be placed on the 9th house. a gemini would be placed on the 10th. i'd go for a gemini moon. you could doubt that, knowing that kageyama isn't very good with words, and having a virgo ascendant, which is ruled by mercury, the planet of communication and also the ruler of gemini, could be a little off. but it's not true that all geminis are talkative and sociable like that (specially because there's not a single placement in a chart that can speak alone for a person's personality). i believe the moon in gemini fits the way kageyama mentally deals with what he loves. he keeps a fucking volleyball journal!!! and while he's playing, he's always thinking and observing every minimal detail. his mental work is impressive. no wonder he's a genius. he might not have the best way with words (and this is about the way he's not good at dealing with emotions, which a gemini moon really might not be) but he can read his teammates very well and adapt to them perfectly. this is all gemini. speaking of mercury, a mercury in capricorn isn't very good at being sensitive with words either. they also have an authoritarian way of speaking and can be quite judgemental and impatient (specially if someone doesn't get something obvious to them). with mars in virgo, moon in gemini and mercury in capricorn, i guess we get a pretty close picture on kageyama's temper and communication skills.

i thought a lot about it's placement on the 10th house as well. the 10th house, being the highest spot of one's chart, is not only the house of career and success, but of our public image too. a moon in the 10th talks about an emotional need for public recognition and an emotional energy directed to the career. this is a very important placement for him, being his moon not only in the 10th but also conjunct midheaven, which means, literally at the highest spot of his birth chart. kageyama knows he's good and he wants to be the best at what he loves the most. he wants to be on top. and that's what he's passionate about. the moon also talks about our early childhood, which is when tobio's passion for volleyball began: the events of his childhood defined the path of life he chose to follow. but he also learns that that's not something he'd conquer alone. and it makes so much sense to be gemini. after all, gemini's symbol is the twins. not even the moon shines by herself alone. considering how kageyama learned this lesson, it seems like such a beautiful placement for his chart. that's something he had to understand in order to grow and get better and reach the position he achieved.

about his venus, the planet of love and relationships, in sagittarius, it brought me to his relationship with hinata (speaking as friends/teammates/rivals/whatever you want tbh). when venus is in sagittarius, a relationship is a place to experiment and grow. sagittarius is ruled by jupiter, the planet of expansion. a sagittarius venus will want you to take them beyond, to expand their horizons. that's exactly what hinata did to kageyama since the very beginning. "when you get stronger, you will definitely meet someone even better". hinata's always pushing kageyama beyond and that's why they get so connected to each other. hinata always surprises him, their relationship/partnership is never dull, but exciting, impredictable. it's fire burning.

i'm not going too deep into analyzing jupiter and saturn, and i'm not very good at analyzing aspects, but since kageyama's such a capricorn (sun, mercury and jupiter - like me! heheh) there was no way i could look away from his saturn in aries: after all, saturn rules capricorn, and his saturn squares his sun (a hard aspect). (btw, i found out that the kanji for “kageyama” means “shadowed mountain”, which is SUCH a saturnine name?? both shadows and mountains can be related to this planet) doing a little research, i found some interesting things about this placement. about saturn in aries: "Stifling your normal and healthy, more aggressive, competitive, or self-centered qualities can be detrimental to you, possibly causing headaches. You don’t like showing weakness. (...) You fear your own feelings of inadequacy. (...) You need to be careful not to limit yourself too much due to fear of failure or fear of making a poor decision. (...) You are highly resourceful. Your ability to start fresh helps you achieve your goals". like... that was really on point i guess. i think we could relate this to his development, as he began to adapt to the karasuno spikers due to a fear of repeating what happened during middle school. saturn is the planet that talks about fears and limits, and when it squares his sun, his position of "king of the court", this is what happens: he feels limited on the way he plays, on his true nature. and by limiting that, by denying his true nature, he was limiting his space to grow. there's a really good post i came across very recently on this matter, so i'm leaving this here.

i believe this aspect would be crucial to understanding his position as the "king". saturn in aries is the dispositor of his sun in capricorn. that means, the way his sun in capricorn "behaves" is modified by his position of saturn. aries is a self-centered, hot-tempered sign with needs of control, and that defines the type of role his sun plays as the "king". of course, this relates to an especific episode of kageyama's life, but it's a crucial episode, a truly turning point of his life - like most saturn related events. to add one more detail, the sun rules his 12th house (leo), and one of the 12th house's themes is isolation - what kageyama got in middle school by acting like a "dictator king" and what he feared the most that would happen again.

Well first of all sorry about the late reply i've been pretty busy! Second of all this might be a pointless reply, considering these fandoms, but fuck it. Stevies university and its fandom loves to preach itself as being diverse and woke yet does the same stuff that other fandoms do. Remember when Garnet or Amethyst got an arc for themselves? Me neither. Literally they're both "fusion" and the "fat friend" at this point. Both get little to no development for themselves which becomes ridiculous when theres been an interesting amount of focus and detail concerning Pearl. The Sardonyx arc, you know the arc which should have shown that Garnet is allowed to show that she can be vulnerable and that hurting others has consequences, was established as a Pearl arc. Literally it focused on the one that caused said problem instead of the one that got hurt when it shouldve focused on both atleast. Its also interesting how Garnet was stoic and silent when she was Darker in season 1 yet after her immediate regeneration in the end of the season she becomes lighter and more open. It probably wasnt intentional, considering Garnet got some growth by the season to become more open since Stevie met her halves, but its a tiring trope or "Stoic black woman finally gets to have a personality out of being serious and strong" which lasted a season. By season 3 shes literally the fusion friend. Aka the only episodes where she gets some focus are concerning fusion, which isnt wrong considering she is one, but it gets ridiculous not giving her anything else to work for. Amethyst was used as a "self hate" trope, which was great initially however it got repetitive and nothing was truly done. Remember season 3 when Amethyst was like "i hate myself thx Jasper" and Stevie was like "i hate myself too ok" and had a episode dedicated to it. It didnt seem necessary to have a competition on who hates themselves more when they could've, oh i dont know, learn and show compassion to one another as well as understanding each others. While it isnt exactly racism, i just dislike how the emotions in this show is just cry cry and we never mention it ever again. "Bismuth" was a display of "angry black woman' considering Bismuth wanted to kill a dictator and Stevie was like "b-hut th' hat'll make us just as bad l1ke them!!!1" and then Bismuth got poofed for wanting to kill dictators cause she was black and mean :// i get the whole "she tried to kill stevie" she thought he was rose and before anyone says "still murder tho" well ya faves Pearl Lapis and Peridot did the same shit too while the big bad butches Bismuth and Jasper suffer forever :). "Earthings" was a favorite of mine but I thought it used Smoky Quartz at the wrong time. Like the episode literally says that Amethyst could never beat Jasper no matter how she tries which really wasnt a good lesson tbh "hard work doesnt pay off, genetics does!!". Smoky was formed from a emotional bond which was nice but i thought it wouldve been better if Amethyst had accepted stevies help and that they could be fucks up together and said fusion would happen naturally instead of using fusion as just "wow we cant do shit on our owns :/// thanks rock genetics". The rubies literally got left in space to die when they were so easy to dispatch and Steven pulled the "i wanted to help eyeball" while he left the other 4 rubies to die instead of giving them a chance since wow they're??? Their own gems and deserve a chance. Said fandom demonized Navy and called her a sociopath for gaining Stevie's and the barn lesbians trust and taking the ship. These were some detailed reasons why the fandom and show seem hypocritical when they pull their "we care about diveristy but we aint gonna bother showing it" aka if youre not white coded rip you. Connie and Lars' heritage? Not necessary since theyre not white lol. Lars got a confirmed race like 4 episodes before he became pink so if we hadn't seen him before he got pink then we wouldve never known since he wouldnt look like a poc and he doesnt talk about his heritage so he wouldnt sound like one either. The fandom was also like "omgggg look at this one pic of Connie's mom wearing Indian clothes" while refusing the claim that we dont need to hear about anyone's heritage since it isn't "realistic" for POC to talk about it. Interestingly, most white fans say this claim hmm. Blue Diamond had some concerns syrrounding whitewashing, which appears to be due to lighting/ not official design. The problem was that BD was shown to be crueler in Season 2 when she was going to kill Ruby for doing her job. Yet by her official appearance she's neon, looks white despite the Indian asthethic vibe displayed on "The Return" and her display on the Moon, and sad cause her co-worker/ gf died or some shit despite Becky Sugar saying that BD was supposed to be a representation of homophobia. A stupid trope where the homophobe was just a closeted gay. She also became so sad and gay that the fandom woobified her to being a innocent gem despite being a dictator, trying to murder a main character, owning a human zoo. The show also made her cry like 99% to make you feel sad for her cause oh no how dare our white saviour Rose Quartz murder a dictator. This also brought a stupid belief of Steven that "the diamonds woildnt be here if it wasnt for my mom !!! Also Amethyst's and a Gem named Concrete had their own racist beta designs. Amethyst had a chola design and Concrete, a literal black coded gem that couldnt read (an advanced alien species and the only one that cant read is the black gem?),were displayed on the art books because the crewniverse doesnt really consider the racism that theyve displayed for children to see. This show has a lot of problems and its still good, could be a whole lot better if some issues were addressed, but considering the writers and fandom refuse to address any criticism by using the "its a show for kids!!!1) says the 30 year old white gay on tunglr. Org who praises stevies university for being woke!!1 and having a gay couple.
