Had to look this up to satisfy my own curiosity re: Oscar competing with a broken rib. FIA is a member of the World Anti-Doping Agency, which does ban some of the most common "heavy" pain meds from use during competition (pg 16 in the English version of the rules). Banned during competition basically means you can't have it in your system on the day of a competition, but you can take it before and after that time. Not sure how F1 classifies free practices, but almost certainly for qualifying you couldn't have any of these in your system.
I know nothing about pharmaceuticals but a bit of basic googling seems to indicate that morphine and oxycodone are reliably out of your system within 24 hrs to the point that they wouldn't show up on a drug test. Just making basic assumptions, the last time Oscar could have taken any pain medications is probably the Friday before a race and depending on the free practice rules possibly as early as Thursday morning.
Interestingly, while cocaine is expressly prohibited both in and out of competition, some of its anesthesia derivatives (lidocaine, etc) are not listed in the banned stimulants section (pg 14-15). So possibly they could give him a shot of local anesthesia before races. The big treatments I'm seeing come up repeatedly for broken ribs are rest, ice, and deep breathing (shallow breathing apparently can lead to pneumonia). None of these things can be accomplished in the car, obviously. All the ice bath pictures after Hungary are much more depressing in retrospect.
Of course some other significant complications of rib fractures are a punctured lung and severe internal bleeding. Presumably the McLaren medical staff were monitoring his condition very closely, but let's not pretend that they don't have a conflict of interest: they're paid by the company to get him back in the car asap, NOT to get him back to peak health. Oscar himself was likely advocating for whatever medical options would get him back in the car fastest, not the ones that would be the most beneficial overall. I've certainly done stupid things and caused myself severe injuries in the name of sport over the years, but none of them carried this kind of risk of death. But then again he risks death every time he gets in the car so 🤷‍♀️ both through nature and nurture adrenaline junkie always outweighs his self preservation instincts. Something something support his rights and his wrongs

HEY SORRY RETURNING BUT IDEA!
It's dark...about...3 am the tv is being all staticy as a hand comes out...followed by an entire wally who immediately freaks the fuck out and tries to get back inside banging on the glass screaming
...something is in there....something that's taken his form...its not him...whatever IT is could hurt his neighbors his friends and now...theres nothing he can do..at least at this rate
Turns out said dark house is owned by trans masc s\o who is also freaking out because there is a screaming puppet in his living room and he knocks it out with a pan
When wally wakes he is still...freaked out and he and s\o kinda get to know each other become friends...and wally gets to learn about and experience the real world! While trying to get back to his
Like season 3 of both the owl house and amphibia!
Also sorry if this was way too specific I just had....to say these words
If could make hcs or a One shot or...something that would be cool...
DON'T WORRY, I LIKED IT
(I don't even know how to title these hcs)

Wally felt how his body was getting dragged to who knows where by god knows who, he inmediatly felt strange when it stopped, his body felt different, everything felt different, he was scared and when he looked at what was in front of him, he saw a tiny version of him... Sitting in a sofa and looking at him directly in the eyes, he screamed loudly than never, hoping that one of his dear neighbors came to his help but for his horror he was greeted by someone who looked nothing like any of his neighbors and looked a little much bigger than him... Which started to scream as loudly as him and hitted him with a pan after.
- It was strange, obviously, not everyday you get dragged to another dimension and not everyday a puppet from another dimension which is from your recently new interest get dragged to yours
- the first trouble (besides all the first drama) was that you had old merchandise from the show
- He got a little scared to see pins and plushies of him in your bedroom...
- but hey! That means you like him
- his new diet basically was apple based food in every meal, apples are easy to found and now it exists apple products which are shapped like apples!
- He was your favorite character, you were excited to talk to him of course! But it was strange meeting him as a puppet and not like the books
- You two getted to know eachother after a while
- Wally was like "This guy is actually friendly" while you were like "Why is Wally Darling eating an apple in my living room"
- you tried your best at helping him find a way to his home but... There is no much information about what to do if a puppet with life appears randomly one day at your house in google
- if you ever got the confidence with him to tell him about you being transmasc he will be very supportive
- you were friendly, a little tall but friendly and give him apples! You were a nice guy and that if you were born AFAB don't changes anything
- Supportive puppet friend will comfort you if somebody says something rude to you
- if you have any pets he would love to play with them! Until you have a cat or dog and they try to chase and bite him
- yeah... You better be careful if you don't want him to die before you get to know how to get him home
- He will talk to you about his friends and will love if you talk about yours too!
- if you have any plushies of his friend he will steal them and hug them to sleep
- he loves your home so much, it's interesing for him look at the things that make your home yours
- like, a significan picture, a plushie, any room, furniture...
- he sometimes forgot that he is not actually in his home

Hyperactive Little Rascal -- Campbell Bain
Summary: Reader comes home to find two hyperactive little rascals--a puppy... and her boyfriend, Campbell Bain.
Warning: Fluff, Campbell Being Childish
(Post-Asylum; May be connected to “Sweet Jane” or read alone; If you decided to include this in Sweet Jane, this takes place between the ending of the series and the epilogue written by me.)
1995 (Ten months since the events of Takin’ Over the Asylum)
"Nobody can fully understnad the meaning of love unless he's owned a dog."
Y/n was unlocking the door when she heard a soft overagressive growling sound... like a dog.
"Oh, no, he didn't." She groaned. She opened the door, she heard her boyfriend squeak and shush the obvious puppy as he tried to run and meet the new person who didn't understand the concept of shushing.
"Campbell David Bain." She said, closing the door and standing over her boyfriend like a parent.
"Yes, my love?" He asked, inncoently with an obvious squirming object under his hoodie, trying to get out of the darkness so she could find his tail.
"Don't be innocent with me! Don't try and be cute."
"But love... I can't help it." He teased.
"Campbell, did you get a puppy?"
"No." He lied... badly and then the puppy started to bark.
Y/n put down her stuff and coruched in front of her boyfriend, lifting his hoodie, revealing a furry black and white puppy with bright blue eyes who jumped at Y/n, greeting their new person.
"Maybe..." He changed his answer. "But... it's not my fault. Look at these eyes!" He held up the puppy to Y/n's face like she wasn't already aware of the puppy's presence and the puppy started to give her dozens of kisses. Campbell then frowned and grew jealous, he pulled the puppy away, "Okay, puppy, that's enough. That's my girlfriend. The only puppy you gets to kiss her is me!"
"Campbell." Y/n gave her boyfriend a look.
"Okay, so I may have gone to the park and there was a pet adoption and I looked into this puppy's eyes and suddenly I had him in a carrier."
Y/n sighed, shaking her head. "I guess, it's lucky, you only adopted one."
"So we can keep him!?"
"Well, you adopted him so..."
"Yes! I love you! I love you! I love you!" Campbell shrieked, tackling his girlfriend, straddling her and hugging her, the puppy was confused by the suddenly energy but joined in their celebrations.
--
Campbell was jealous. Y/n had barley paid any attention to him. All to the puppy.
Good job, Campbell. You lost her to a puppy!
"Campbell, what should we call..." she trailed off to see her boyfriend obviously jealous as his arms were crossing and he was grumbling to himself. She placed the puppy down who immediately got up and trotted along with her. She walked to her boyfriend and stood on her toes and kissed him, heavily, he wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed back.
"Don't worry, you'll always be my number one puppy." She giggled.
He grinned goofily as her, he wrapped his arms around her and brought her on the couch with him, kissing her before the puppy shoved his head inbetween the two, apparently trying to see if they were fighting over any food.
"My two hyperactive little rascals." She giggled.
"Little? I am over six feet tall!" Campbell complained.
Tumblr media
"Rascal. That's why we should name him." She grinned.
Campbell pouted, "But I'm your rascal."
"Yeah, you are." She said, pulling him in for another kiss.
Rascal is based off my puppies--they are Australian Shepherd-Poodle Mixes. (I will not show pictures of them though... I might later but not now) Others could be these dark-furred blue-eyed dogs I just Googled: a Siberian Husky, Border Collie, Alaskan Klee Kai, Dalmation, Cathahoula Leopard Dog, etc. But you can suggest your own dog breeds.

Rascal was originally a girl but male dogs are more hyperactive and highlights Campbell's jealousy.
I have an angst one in the works but I think I'll do a wisdom teeth one (with the reader getting her wisdom teeth out), I just got my wisdom teeth out yesterday/two days ago since it was one-thirty in the morning, and I am miserable. I am more miserable in the way I can eat or drink what I want sort of way. Apparently for days after you get your wisdom teeth out you can’t have hot drinks which includes hot chocolate which I try to drink once a day (it’s one thing if I don’t drink it because I just forgot or I meant to and then suddenly it was too late to make one but actually being told I can’t makes it be on my mind all the time.) My mom refused to let me have the wisdom teeth surgery where they put you under anesthesia when they do it (because she’s a paranoid parent and didn’t want to risk the risks. Also because of when I was sedated when I was a baby, I’ll tell that story on the wisdom teeth one) so I was just numbed but I think the reader will have it so Campbell can take care of her while she's still high from the drugs so kind of parallel the one where he was drunk.
I love dogs, I love cats too (but most of my family are allergic and don’t like them. I refuse to admit I might be allergic, I am allergic to pollen so I say it’s that. It just makes my eyes itch and even if I am, which I refuse to admit, I don’t blame the cats for that) My first dog was a male Boykin Spaniel (I miss him), then a Boykin Spaniel mix (I miss them both) Now, I have a black-and-white female four-year-old Aussie-Doodle with one ice blue eye and one brown eyes named Gizmo after the Mogwai from Gremlins, and a whiteish two-year-old male Aussie-Doodle named Sherlock after Sherlock Holmes. He’s… I think he’s smarter than my brother and mom think, I think he acts doofy because he knows it makes us laugh.
I cannot watch dog movies like Marley and Me, or A Dog’s Purpose, (I mean I did watch them both when I was younger) but I can’t. It just makes me think of my dogs and how I want them to live forever. I want my dogs to live longer than me! And I will not write about dealing with a dog’s death. I already have depression and ADHD (not a fun mix) where I can be totally fine (for me) and then suddenly I spiral and then I just hate everything and am sadder than sad.
My family is primarily a dog family, my nana has had a few dogs though her favorite breed are Scottish Terriers (and her favorite animal is a Fox which is my second favorite after a Tasmanian Devil). My favorite dog breed other than the ones I have are Beagle. I don't know why but I've always had this sort of love for beagles.*
Austrian Shepherds are considered “Einstein dogs” from their high intelligence and Gizmo has a glint in her heterochromatic eyes that are just filled with so much love and intelligence.
They are quite playful, I was actually afraid when we went to get Sherlock that Gizmo wouldn't like him (we drove six hours to get him from a barn and then it took even longer to drive back because he kept getting car sick and throwing up, of course now, he'll eat anything, he has a stomach of steel and is now what we (and the vet) call "thick" (because he scarfed his food down like he was being raced and then tried to eat Gizmo's food. Though, she's possessive so she would wait for him to come to her food before botling to her food or snapping at him.)
Now they're just buddies, Gizmo's like his Mama, they play with each other, they wrestle, they play tug a war with the dog toys we buy before we have to throw them away because they tore them away and sometimes when they have the same toy, they walk in unison. They're both very possessive, they don't like it when we leave or when they think we're leaving. Gizmo barks and barks and Sherlock tries to calm her down by jumping on her and grabbing at the fur on her back so she is occasionally temporarily distracted by him pulling at her fur. Gizmo doesn't want to eat or a treat unless he wants it. She'll be occasionally aggressive with him because she's bigger (and his Mama). Sometimes he'll whine and we'll shout at her to stop and sometimes he'll fight back.
Austrlian Sherpherd usually have their tails cut off, surprisingly, Gizmo didn't though and it's just beautiful and she thinks so too, My other dogs never chased their tails or at least I didn't see them but I've never seen a dog love their own tail so much, she'll be doing something one second and then literally start chasing her tail the next. She'll lay down with her tail in her mouth, she'll continue walking in circles with her tail in her mouth and sometimes she'll put her paw on her tail like she's trying to pull at it, and sometimes she'll walk to another room while walking in cicrlces as she moves because she has her tail in her mouth. It's hilarious! 🤣🤣
Sherlock doesn't, he has a little nub of a tail but he seems like he still has a phantom tail because he wiggles his butt when he's excited. He's kind of like Meatlug from How to Train Your Dragon (combined with Hookfang and the two-headed dragon).

Kevin and Cecil: doubles, counterparts, twins, some combination?
Reblog for exposure please!
Definitions, for and against arguments, explaination of last option:
Doubles. Definition: exact copies of the citizens of Night Vale and of Desert Bluffs which split from them during the sandstorm. Essentially a newly created clone whose looks, personality and memories were/are identical to each other. For example: Dana is not sure if she's the original Dana or the double, due to the exactness of the memories of being Dana right up to the point of seeing the other Dana. Every double is described as looking, sounding and acting identically to the person they're a double of be it Cecil or Kevin reporting. Lawrence Lavine (Larry Leroy's counterpart but not his double) details the sensation of suddenly feeling like he had two hands scooping sand until there was suddenly two complete versions of him. Evidence for: Both Kevin and Cecil describe a picture of the other sharing their physical likeness, even down to what the other is wearing in the photo matching what the speaker is wearing now (or, posesses at least). Their likeness in looks is also mentioned when they physically meet during the Strex arc. Neither of them spawn any other kind of double, despite the fact that people indoors did still spawn one (such as Dana, and the imagined alive version of Vanessa Kevin seems to insist on manifesting). Kevin says directly that he 'thinks he saw his double' when the two cross back through the vortex. Evidence against: Both existed before the sandstorm, so unless (likely Cecil) spawned a double when he was very young and that double was taken away and raised as Kevin, this is very strange. Cecil doesn't actually say he met his double when seeing Kevin in the vortex.
Counterparts: a term not mentioned in canon but which can be used to explain the relationship between two characters with similar but not necessarily identical names, lives, personality traits and roles/jobs as somebody from the other town. For example: Dana Cardinal/Dan Cardozo, Larry Leroy out on the edge of town/Lawrence Lavine out in the Edgertown Development, Old Woman Josie (full name Josephina)/Grandma Josephine, Pamela Winchell/Pablo Mitchell. The fact that they seem to have similar jobs etc hints that whilst being different people they have made similar decisions in life. Evidence for: Cecil and Kevin share a lot of the same likes and dislikes which is more obvious in the brief glimpses we get of Kevin from before Strex changed him, even Cecil comments on this in Triptych. They both have the same job (obviously). They both didn't experience a creation of a double, but did make identical decisions to go through the vortex showing more likemindedness without being the exact same person (possibly).
Twins: two children born at the same birth (according to Google, but we all know what twins are, right?). Evidence for: If Kevin and Cecil are just twins from a seperated marriage, it could explain why Kevin mostly remembers a dad and Cecil only had a mother and why they're physically identical and somewhat similar in other ways but still different even before Kevin's brainwashing. Kevin mentions having siblings, but his memory of his past is hazy. They could have been split when they were too young to really remember each other and Abby could have her own reasons for not wanting to tell Cecil about Kevin even after the Strex arc and Kevin coming to town.
Evidence against: Although Kevin briefly and unreliably mentions siblings, Cecil doesn't except for Abby. The grown Cecil from Casettes even explicitly says he doesn't have a brother (although he's technically talking about Cal here) which doesn't necessarily invalidate the other points but could do. It seems like something Abby would have mentioned to him at some point though regardless of any reasoning I can think of but people are unreasonable all the time.
Last option: We know there's many timelines and that Cecil is a constant in all of those timelines. If there can be a timeline which is identical except instead of Abby, Cal was born OR a mini version of NV which is now under the bowling alley then why couldn't there be a timeline where Cecil was favoured by a Smiling God and not Huntokar and was raised in DB as Kevin? In the newer episodes, Kevin, refreshed to a child by Carlos' meddling science, has no idea who he's supposed to be and is completely lost. I don't know if that's completely related to this theory but it is interesting.
Facts to possibly ignore for meta reasons: Kevin and Cecil having different names and voices.

Aru shah birthday headcanons? Thank you.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARU SHAH 2023
So, Google says she was born in 2005, meaning this would be her 18th birthday!
Aru: That's right everyone. Henceforth, Aru Shah is officially a fully grown adult!
Everyone: 🤨
Aru: Ok, a grown adult!
Everyone: 🤨
Aru: FINE, AT THE VERY LEAST I AM AN ADULT NOW! MEANING I AM NOW FREE TO PARTY, DRINK, AND HAVE SE-
*Krithika clears her throat*
Aru: ...but I won't until I'm ready and well informed.
Krithika: Good. (Mini, you'll get your check in the mail)
Aru: What?!?
Krithika: LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED
The Scene: a small gathering of close family, friends, and others (cough cough Aiden). You would think it would be at the museum again, but after the Sleeper's attack...yeah not taking any chances. They just had it at Aru's house.
Round 1: Presents
Mini:
Is this a day planner?
Practical, isn't it? You can finally get things in order and-
Mini, some of the best things in life are surprises.
So are some of the worst, but not this time. Why don't you open it?
*opens* *SQUEE* A HOME DEPOT GIFT CARD
With practically infinite spending directly linked to Naga-loka's treasury, courtesy of the King.
DUDE I LOVE YOU
Brynne
I made the cake, isn't that enough? Ugh, fine, if you wanna be spoiled about it. Tear into this.
*opens* An old Marvel comic?
YOUR old Marvel comic. Spider Man, First Issue
YOU TOUCHED MY STUFF?!?
I didn't just touch it. I also took it somewhere (with Mini's help) and had someone take a look at it. Take a look at the bottom
OH MY- IS THIS-
Go on, say it!
YOU GOT IT SIGNED BY STAN LEE IN THE AFTERLIFE?!? BEE, YOU'RE AMAZING!
I know.
Twins
Ok, don't be too disappointed with ours
Guys, you're my sisters! It's the thought that counts! But just so we're clear, being young isn't an excuse to be cheap
And being old isn't an excuse to be material, but that's beside the point. Here.
WHOA! This green sari is like waving grass! And the glimmering silver makes it look like lightning is coursing through it! AND ARE THOSE REAL EMERALDS?!?
Of course, I'm not an amateur.
Open mine, open mine!
A tea set? Sheela, that's sweet but you know about Starbucks, right?
Is Starbucks enchanted to give you clear visions of memories like your own personal tv?
Shut up! It does not!
Try it!
*sips* I'm not crying am I? (She never tells anyone, but her first choice was her first memory of her father before he transformed)
Kara
Your sisters told me you like to read, so I picked this up for you. I hope you like it!
"The Serpent's Secret" interesting! Did they also tell you I'm a Slytherin?
No, I knew that already! As if I'd forget my sister's house.
*record scratch* What?
What?
(Little did Kara know, along with her book, she also gave her sister the gift of hope)
Mom
Ok, you don't know this, but I called in a quick favor from one of my old bosses...and a little bit from Mini's father.
Nepotism. I like it!
Aru, I want you to say hello to an old friend!
Mom, that's just BB
BB?!? Is that what you've been calling me all along?!? Such utter disrespect for your old teacher!
(Needless to say, everyone was in tears with that little blast from the past)
Round 2: Cake and Concert
No one knows how she pulled it off, but once again Brynne proved herself a master of amouse-bouches by making Swedish-fish tiramisu the size of a small desk. Everyone agreed it was light, flavorful, and not too tart due to the fish (and not just because she would've pummeled them otherwise)
While they were eating, Rudy's big gift was a surprise concert from Rudy Rox...and when everyone refused, he just had Mini teach him how to make a mixtape instead. It was fire, but also disorienting to move from Aiden's big song to the LOTR soundtrack. Still, Aru plays it everywhere she goes to this day...
Round 3: Pics
Everyone gathered around the living room for a picture to capture the moment. Obviously Shadowfax took them. Aiden's been taking pics all night (yes especially the embarrassing ones). It's hard to describe everyone's expressions in a way that makes them look as blissful as any other family, so let's just say it was perfect enough for Aru...
*Secret* Round 4: Aruden Time
*later, outside*
I forgot to give you your present
You pulled me aside. Like hell, you forgot
Hell?
I'm a big girl now, I can use big girl words
Then I guess you won't need this little girl present *runs*
Oh no you don't! *THUMP* Pinned ya!
Why are you like this Shah? (As if I didn't want that.) Why don't you see what you got?
*opens* *soft gasp*
I know it's not as good as Home Depot, Stan Lee, or Resurrected Boo, but I at least hoped it would be something you like-
*holds him tight and pulls him into a deep kiss* I love it!
And I love you, Shah. Happy Birthday, Aru.
You're probably wondering what he got her...well so am I, they never told me XD
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARU SHAH!

I hope you don't mind me asking, but what is like the etiquette and stuff in Athens? I'm visiting next year and I've found very little on it. Like just a few sentences. Man I just don't want to be an ass and accidentally offended a bunch of people
okay so here's a list, not really of etiquette but like...some things..
Don't worry too much about it. Especially in athens, we are very used to foreigners and will not be easily offended. Even things that might be wierd don't really offend anyone. Like, I live a bit further away from the center, but sometimes tourists rent places here, and I've had americans in full savana explorer outfits saying hello to me randomly on the street outside my house, which isn't something we do here but I was more confused than offended. in villages, talking to strangers is way more common, but in athens, unless you're not looking to ask for help/directions, we think it's a little wierd.
2. I think the main thing is: don't treat the place like it's disneyland, and understand that people are living here, working here etc. There's a certain type of tourist whose behavior screams "i am not realising this is a city like any other" and it makes us feel a little wierd. Things like taking pictures of/recording eveyrthing or treating everything like food stands, shops etc like they're some novelty is a little off putting. Fully experience what's different and new/interesting for you here but like…in a normal manner. Idk it is mostly an attitude thing. But again, nobody is going to be like super offended and bothered if you do act like a tourist who treats everything like they're tourist attractions, but you will register as a stupid tourist in people's minds. And of course I don't mean don't take pictures of the place either. I hope this makes sense.
3. This is a more functional thing but try to be mindful when using public transport. I fully understand tourists who are in fun vacation mode and I'm very happy for them but when i'm late for class or whatever and there's a group of them chatting with each other in the already very crowded metro and blocking the exits I get a little angry. Just try to be aware of not spreading out too much in crowded public transport, not standing in front of doors/in the middle of corridors if you can help it, and try to not make too much noise. You are absolutely welcome to talk obviously, just don't start shouting and screaming at each other, if you're in a group. And don't sit on the floor. When I went to germany I noticed this was common, groups of especially younger people just sitting on the floor of trains, drinking beer, but we don't do that here, especially not when it's crowded.
This is more of an addition to the above but just in case you're from somewhere that doesn't have the same escalator rules: Right side is for standing on the escalator, left side is for walking and shouldn't be blocked.
Feel absolutely free to use any greek words you might know like thank you, goodmorning etc even if you're butchering them. We don't mind, at least I don't know anyone who does.
Cars will not stop for pedestrians here 99% of the time and if you'd like to not get shouted at by angry drivers, be extra careful when crossing any street. Sometimes car drivers will actually stop and motion for you to cross the street.
Here's a little uno reverse for you: Do not be offended by shop owners/shop assistants who might be on the grumpier or ruder side. It's nothing personal against you specifically. Maybe they're not even being rude by our standards, sometimes people are just grumpy and we don't have the customer service standards of other countries. Basically do not expect everyone to smile and/or even look like they actually want you as their customer. It's not nice, but i'm saying this for your own sanity, don't pay them too much mind. The best thing to do is for any reason you are displeased with someone's manners is to leave a bad review on the place on google maps etc. Now if someone is criminally rude/racist etc towards you, I would absolutely recommend reporting it. I am not sure exactly how you go about this but I'll try to learn and update you. But verbal abuse and offending someone's dignity by words or actions is punishable here.
I am assuming that you're a nice reasonable person to be coming in my asks with this so I am not inculding obvious things like please don't come just to get very drunk in public, try to only throw trash inside trashcans and be respectful of ancient stuff (no tresspassing to get better pics, no touching things you shouldn't in museums, no carving your name etc anywhere.)
big blue trashcans are only for recyclable stuff, big green ones are for normal trash.
not related to offending anyone but in the city center you will be approached by people selling stuff and ladies with flowers. Ignoring them feels unpleasant and wrong to us locals too, but it's normal and okay and I recommend it so the practice might slowly die off. Do not start talking to them because you will be forced to buy something.
I am not good at remembering things when i need to make lists of them, so any other athenians who want to add things I forgot, please feel free to do so! I mostly avoid crowded places like the city center when it's tourist season so I might be forgetting something important.

Feathers of Fate
Ok so now that I've had a chance to sit at my laptop for ease of typing, I would like to offer some feedback to the system!
Keep in mind this feedback is pre-playtesting, as I only just discovered it this morning and haven't had a chance to playtest it with friends. This is going off my prior experience with TTRPG's both as a player and as a DM/GM/Storyteller.
This post is gonna be under a cut cuz it might get lengthy, but if you would like to read up on the system as it is before reading this post, here is a link to the google doc of v1 of the rules, and the dev blog is @funnybirdgame if you would like to follow them to get updates!!
so firstly,
What I really, REALLY like
so obviously I really like the concept. Otherwise I wouldn't even be doing this post tbh. I saw the post, was intrigued, and then had an epiphany.
Nostalgiaaaaa
ok so to get this point out of the way to lay my biases out on the table, the concept IMMEDIATELY reminds me of Guardians of Ga'Hoole, a book series I read as a kid that has 15+ books (it's still going as far as I'm aware which, alright, get it girl). For those unaware of the book series, it's basically Warrior Cats but with owls. For those unaware of that series, can i join you under the rock you live under? it looks cozy the concept of Guardians of Ga'Hoole is that owls have their own society and the Guardians of Ga'Hoole is this knight order of legend that lives in the far-off distance and supposedly is sworn to protect all of Owlkind from great evil. It's a whole thing really, I'm not gonna get into it too much.
Obviously, there's more than just owls in this game, it's all birds. But I bring this up to sort of lead into some of the additions I want to bring to the table, as well as just. Explain my very excited tone of this post. So obviously I may be a bit biased in wanting to see the success of this system and giving it feedback.
The Simplicity
I actually REALLY love how simplified the system is. It definitely isn't a 1-pager, for sure, but the skills are simple and well-explained in only one sentence, and the items and what they're used for are also very self-explanatory. While there is an appeal in making things crunchy and a bit complex (I'm a d&d 5e addict at heart, I love the system a lot both because it's my first and it in my opinion walks a very good line between easy to grasp and complex enough to provide a good challenge), there is just as much appeal in making something you can very easily grasp session 1.
Fate Points
I actually really like the fate points system here. It's simple, it doesn't let players hoard a bunch throughout a game, and it allows players who eat absolute shit at a particular roll to feel at least a bit better cuz, hey, at least I get some fate points out of the 1 I rolled. No notes here but I WILL mention the Fate Points later.
The LOOOOOOOORRRREEE
So I am REALLY intrigued by the implicated lore already. A good system will allow a Storyteller, who is effectively writing an interactive novel for their friends, to go absolutely nuts telling a story. There are so many questions that could be answered here. What caused the humans to go extinct? When did they go extinct? What other animals have intelligence, if any? Why do birds have human-like intelligence now?
A post-apocalypse setting has a TON of opportunity for environmental storytelling which is I think my favorite way of telling a story in games. Describing structures that, to a human it would be obvious what it is, but to a bird, who has no clue of the original intent of the structure when it was complete, let alone in ruins, you could have so much fun painting a picture of the environment.
Now for what I don't like so much
I did say I had some feedback. This includes positive and negative. This is version 1 of the rules, and I've never actually written my own system before, but I have played and DM'd a lot (not just 5e) and so I can tell by reading when things need to be tweaked. This isn't going to be super harsh or anything, it's gonna have the same tone as the rest of this post, pretty casual.
The Dice & Stat System
So, to get my biggest criticism out of the way. The stats system in this scares me. Using a different die for every stat, while cool in theory, really knocks some things off of balance and isn't conducive to a couple things that make a TTRPG good for long-term, multi-session play.
So, one of the issues you're going to run into using this is character progression. You're going to run into a point where a player builds their character, and they're going to want to improve stats that they kinda suck at. Character growth! We love to see it! Not just in terms of how the character is played at a social and narrative level, but people love seeing numbers go up. There's no real way to effectively progress in a stat you suck pellets at, like if you put a d4 in perception and you realize you're getting your party into trouble by blindly walking into traps. (Not speaking from experience or anything...)
Another pitfall this system has is that, alongside individual character progression being stifled, it will lead to party composition being stale. Don't get me wrong, having characters in a party that are better-suited for certain tasks is GOOD. Let the rogue be the one who picks locks because that's their thing, let the bard be the one to talk to the politicians, et cetera. However. With no real way for a character to progress in a stat, the party never really changes up this dynamic. Why would you EVER use a stat you put a d4 in if your friend has a d20? You'll just let them do their thing. You won't even bother trying. Even if the Storyteller accounts for this and balances the check accordingly, there's no accounting for the huge gap there. It isn't bad for a party to be composed of different birds who are better at different things, per se, but it does make for gameplay that will get stale. Checks will get stale, too, because if you have someone who uses an item in their best skill to roll 2d20, well, the check is more than likely guaranteed to succeed if they roll a 40.
So to combat this problem I recommend using a different way to go about dice, known as;
DICE POOLS
If you've never played a system with dice pools before, it's somewhat intuitive. Instead of having a target number to roll and add up to or above, instead, your stat will determine the amount of dice you roll. Certain numbers on the die will mean either success or failure (typically the lower half of the die is a failure, the upper half is a success). You count the number of successes you roll, and you have to reach a target number of successes to do the thing you want to do. To give an example;
Soren wants to use Agility to dodge out of the way of an attack as a reaction in-combat. Soren's Agility stat has a 2 next to it, meaning he rolls 2 dice in this check. He also has the Air Fins item, allowing him to gain an extra die to roll when he rolls to dodge mid-air, meaning he gets to roll 3 dice total. He rolls his dice, and the numbers he rolls are 3, 4, and 6. Since 1-3 is a failure and 4-6 is a success, he tells the Storyteller he got 2 successes. The Storyteller tells him that he passed the check, and dodges out of the way of the attack.
Dice pool systems are used in games in the World of Darkness system, which is mainly where I'm pulling my inspiration for this example. They use d10's and I can't remember which numbers mean success or failures because I use the fancy dice with the symbols on the success sides and blanks on the failure sides. I recommend using d6's because while, yes, we are playing as birds and I'm almost positive anyone interested in this system is a dice hoarder (crows. d'you get it), d6's are the easiest dice to get ahold of in a pinch. Very easy to make a cube out of paper! Not so much a dodecahedron.
You can also still have critical success and critical failures, which can add some dynamic features to dice tests. Example;
Soren wants to recall some information about a structure. He has a 3 in Cunning, so he rolls 3 dice, and he has an Informational Tome that gives him 1 additional dice, meaning he rolls 4 dice in total. He rolls a 4, a 5, and two 6's. Soren knows that a 6 is a critical success, so he lets the Storyteller know that he got 4 successes, and that 2 of them are crits. The Storyteller can then choose to give extra information that Soren otherwise may not have gotten had he not succeeded so well, such as a guess at the purpose of the structure based on Soren's previous knowledge.
You can also use critical success as a tiebreaker, such as when two players roll the same number of successes on a check for combat initiative; the person with the most crits in their roll can go first.
A dice pool system like this allows for people to improve their skills over time, using experience gained by leveling up to purchase extra die to roll during tests. This still allows for certain characters to be better at something than others, but also opens up the floor to characters to get better at a skill to be on-par with their team. It also curbs the problem of being able to roll a ridiculous amount of points above the target number.
I do recommend that with the dice pool system you have a maximum number of points you can put into one stat. I recommend 5 as it's a nice even number, as with a standard item that only gives a +1 buff to a stat in a certain situation you can roll 6 dice total. Not including Fate Points.
Speaking of fate points! This allows for fate points to be more balanced. If you've been hoarding Fate Points during a session where you've rolled a lot of 1's, you don't get to roll, say, 5d20's and absolutely obliterate the bbeg of the session. Instead it's just more d6's. It does still allow for a player to roll, say, 10 dice, but like, at that point, that's exciting for the whole table and we love that energy (or at least I do personally, as someone who's rolled 15 dice for an attack check on a VtM character), and who's to say how many successes that will give them?
One more thing I will add, this allows you to not be beholden to only 7 stats. You can add some, you can remove some. I personally recommend adding a stat like Knowledge, to recall things in books and to do medicine checks, and leave Cunning for social smarts like lying and using tools.
Ok that's enough about dice, how about other stuff?
Birds
aka "I wanna play a chicken"
In the car this morning I had the brilliant realization that birds aren't just restricted to ones that fly. I'm sure upon first glance this system might call to mind owls, ravens, and crows. Maybe a few of you thought of some songbirds.
I thought of chickens.
Regardless of the kind of bird you want to play, there's no real benefit to your choice. Sure, you can play a chicken, but why would you want to when there's no real benefit and you can't fly with the rest of your party? There should be some incentive to take certain birds over others.
This also allows you to sprinkle in some bird facts, which, I'm not a bird expert myself, but I've heard people who are into birds REALLY LOVE sharing bird facts.
For example, a crow might have a +1 in Cunning, and a special ability to use improvised tools better, but their drawback is that they are easily distracted by shiny things and have a debuff to Determination when there's distractions around.
An owl might have a +1 in Knowledge, and a special ability to have an extra die when hunting because they're birds of prey, but they have a debuff to Perception during the day time.
Et cetera, et cetera.
I know that D&D 5e did away with racial buffs and debuffs a while ago, but I really like the idea that choosing what bird you want to play has some effect on gameplay. You can still play a bird counter to what they would 'stereotypically' be good at, mind you, but this just gives some extra features and fun things to do as that bird.
In conclusion!
I really wanna play this. Maybe over this weekend I'll convince people to play it with me. I do want to playtest the rules as-is, because while I do have a lot of knowledge in my belt already, I do want to at least see the system run hands-on so that I can at least determine if my current feedback has merit and if there's anything else I can add.
I am also more than happy to write up a formal version of all the stuff I talked about here in my own Google Doc to share.

Just to say in advance, I played a fair bit of this game ill and tired, I still am currently ill and tired, and I struggle with spelling, names especially, at the best of times, so please excuse any misspellings of characters and places, I will try my best, I just can't be bothered to keep repeatedly Googling each one to check if I have it right. Anyway, with that said, here is my experience/thoughts on God of War Ragnarok, major spoiler warning as I'm going over everything:
I was smiling like crazy at the beginning, it was such an awesome opening and really captured the changes in all the characters. Though I immediately was said as it just started fighting Freya and I thought, I don't want to kill her, I actually got into a lil debate with a friend who hated Freya and wanted to kill her due to her threatening you after killing Baldur, so I was dreading it.
I literally cried when Fenrir died, like, had genuine tears come down my eyes and was sniffling, I know we never knew him but god it got to me.
While it was awesome finally seeing Odin after GoW and all the stories on him, I felt conflicted. In my mind I was picturing a sorta Zeus like Odin, maybe slightly muscular cause it's GoW after all, but just the beard, taller, a more powerful presence. I was kinda taken aback by this smaller, meaker man without the epic voice, but at the same time, that made me realise how deceiving and manipulative he could be/appear. I should say right now, outside of what is said and shown in GoW and maybe the odd popular thing, I know nothing of Norse mythology.
I thought the game was so incredibly beautiful! I am playing on my PS5 with a 4K TV and it is just gorgeous! It truly is such a beautiful game! I also loved how large the worlds were! There felt like there was so much more to them this time! While I tried to avoid everything about the game, some things did slip through, like knowing you go back to the same realms, and I was apprehensive but they are like whole new worlds, and the actual new worlds are incredible! Svartleheim was such an awesome first world, I loved it!
When you first play as Atreus I was freaking out so much! I had no idea there were Atreus sections of the game, so I lost it! Although his gameplay isn't perfect, it is fun, and obviously him transforming with rage makes it so much better! (I did suspect he was the bear at the start, one of the exceptionally few things I know about Norse mythology is Loki can transform)
The jelly fish creatures in Alfheim were so beautiful! Once I released the first I just sat there watching it "swim" in the sky, so pretty!
It was *SOOOO* awesome going to Jotunheim and seeing more of the world and the Giant side of it! I loved going there and getting to explore more of the actual world! It was so awesome seeing Angrboda and her grandma too! Just learning more of the Giants and their story was so great!
I couldn't believe we got to visit Vanaheim! After hearing so much about it, it was so cool getting to actually go there! I must admit, the plants drove me fucking crazy, but I loved the rest of it!
Hearing about then seeing that Freya had a brother was so cool! Though him being called Freyr and it being pronounced the exact same way was confusing, very handsome though! Their own things of Yngvi I forget Frayas was a lot easier to tell who was who.
I absolutely loved getting to break Freya's curse and how it was done! It was sad that the ancient creature had to get sacrificed for it, but I loved finally setting her free.
Finally getting to actually visit Asgard was so awesome! I must admit, it woulda been cool to get to explore it more, and I was expecting something grander, but I did love finally going there and seeing it!
Seeing the Nonir people was awesome too, like knowing they even existed was cool, but seeing them was cool! They were insufferable know it all's but I guess that was the point! The Kelpie was so beautiful!
I was really sad you had to kill Gorm, the Hel wolf, as he was only just freed. So I love that Atreus not only found a way to save him, but to keep Fenrir alive! That was lovely!
It was SOOOOOO awesome finally seeing, ah, I think it's Skal and Hati? The wolves that chase the sun and moon? I was expecting more celestial type things, but it was awesome meeting them!
The Heimdall fight was really bittersweet. I found him insufferable and wanted payback for all his shit, but at the same time, he didn't deserve death, and Kratos repeatedly says how much he doesn't want to kill him or return to his past life, so it was sad it happened anyway.
Atreus seeing the Aesir really conflicted me. On the one hand, the whole time in GoW you hear these horrible stories of them and the atrocious things they've done, Thor and Odin especially, and you want to bring them down to avenge all the fallen, like Thor was to the Giants as Hitler was to the Jewish. But then you kinda can't help but get connected to them, see their human side, and see that they all are being used and manipulated by Odin, and Thor has suffered. I especially never wanted to harm Thrud, she was just a child and a pawn of a pawn, but then harming the ones she loves is harming her.
One of the biggest moments I lost it was Brok/Odin. I had *NOOOOO* idea Odin could transform too, and had no inclination that he was really Tyr! Do when it did the huge reveal that Odin was really Tyr all along, I lost it! And immediately my mind was racing like, did the dwarf set us up by giving the location of "Tyr", Odin knew that whole time with Atreus, everything with Freya was bullshit. But then I had no time to think as he just instantly kills Brok, I kept expecting something to happen to save him, but then he was really gone, and I just couldn't believe the game did that! Though I do love how in his final moment, what Brok did was stand up to Odin by himself and caught on before anyone else.
So playing GoW twice before this game, I was looking forward to so many things the game said would happen around Ragnarok (though the wolves never ate the sun and moon?), and one of those things was seeing Surtr! It was so awesome finally meeting him! And that area where the realms meet was SSSSOOOO beautiful and pretty! I loved it!
So like, I thought Ragnarok was an event, I had no idea it was a "person" so seeing a physical embodiment of Ragnarok was bizarre.
I felt so conflicted on Thor! On the one hand, I wanted to kill him for all he had done in the stories and just who he was, an abusive, dead beat dad who was an awful person. But at the same time, he is so easily manipulated, besides Odin, Atreus is able to manipulate him, then immediately after his wife manipulates him against Atreus, then even Kratos sorta manipulates him, but then you see he realises Odin used him and sacrificed his family, and Thrud loses her dad, so it was so conflicting when Odin killed him.
So I didn't like that Odin's soul was being kept alive in a ball, so when Sindri smashed it I was very happy, also, yeah, everyone in that room had a right to kill Odin and I am glad Sindri did. Though with his anger, the blood and dirt, torn clothes, you can see how much he has lost it with losing Brok and I hurt for him. Like he hates Atreus, blames him, and has been so nasty to him, and that just isn't Sindri.
So I had no idea the game ended with Atreus leaving! It really made me wished I finished side quests and stuff with Atreus that felt more fitting! I also was so sad he left! I was happy for him, but sad for me/Kratos.
I really enjoyed doing optional stuff, all the side quests were super fun! And just exploring the lands and getting optional locations/labours was really fun! Though I did find trying to get to some locations really confusing and tedious at times, but doing the Crater in particular was great!
So when Atreus put the soul in the snake and Angrboda said it was growing like crazy, even after only recently playing GoW twice, I thought that meant the snake was transforming into a giant Giant and thought nothing of it! It wasn't until Freya practically spelled it out in Midgard in a conversation that I realised it was the great snake! I had my mind blown!
I am glad I finally eventually managed to kill all the Valkyries, including the queen, as yeah, they are all so plot important that it woulda felt odd never having done it on my save file, so the story was more cohesive because of that.
So I still have Gna, the Beserker King, a few Ravens and the odd lore/loot to get, otherwise I think I have done pretty much everything? I also still haven't really touched Valhalla, so I need to do that, I just don't massively enjoy that style of game.
I really loved the more detail and life this game had over GoW, like the insects and lizards on the walls, the birds and other creatures in the sky, the animals and such around the world, I loved all the little touches to bring more life and realism into the world.
I really liked how we see a more emotional Kratos finally. Even through everything, the only emotion he ever really shows is anger, and he speaks of sadness and heart break but never really shows it. So having multiple scenes where his voice breaks and he's clearly really emotional, I really loved seeing that finally. I guess I should add here I also loved finally seeing Faye, seeing her as a living character, and then hearing more about her past and who she was.
So one thing I struggled with a lil was combat. For like the first half of the game, fighting felt really tedious and boring, enemies were just unpleasant to fight, and I never really felt like I struggled, but the repeated respawns of enemies just felt like it went on for too long, this did all eventually improve/stop though. Another thing I struggled with was difficulty. I played the game on normal, but it just felt all over! I would say a majority of the game felt way too easy, I never really struggled, and staying on top of health, breaking and avoiding enemy attacks was super easy. But then there were random points were it would just get really difficult out of nowhere, or, even if it wasn't "difficult", you'd be stuck in multiple forced battle encounters, or bosses that went on for ages, and I would just die from not having the skill to keep dodging and attacking for the length of time the game required me to do so.
Another thing I struggled with was the game itself. So even though at points I had only been playing for like, 15-30 hours. I think where I did so much in every world, I felt a lot deeper into the game than I was, so the story kept going and I just had no idea where I was in the game! Like I had no idea if I was near the final mission or if I still had 8+ hours left! And even though it is called Ragnarok, due to this timing issue I kinda was expecting the big battle to be in a third game! So it was odd eventually doing it.
In GoW I felt like I had no real glitches, but this one I had a few. Like, with Atreus (and this only happened with Atreus, never had this issue in any other game either), if I would hop over something/get down from a ledge, occasionally he had this issue where my controller would sorta stop working, and he just glided and wouldn't move correctly, I'd have to give it a minute before he we fine again. There also was another issue that in Asgard, it kept repeatedly showing I could pick up items I already picked up in the closet even though nothing was there. Also with Kratos, sometimes either the compass would disappear entirely and I just had to wait for it to randomly appear again, and no, I wouldn't be in a fight or even near enemies, or other times the compass would be motionless and not show me where to go, or it would take me down routes I couldn't go down, so I spent many areas blindly trying to find my way around which is awful when you have my sense of direction!
But anyway, yeah, here's what I "finished" the game on. Unlike GoW I felt no need to wear a matching armour set, and I know that the curass I have on has no perks, but it's stat buffs to everything was insane! Also, even though I had done everything to get all the Chaos flames, including the Beserker and Muspleheim, I am one short from fully upgrading them and I have no idea why? As the rest are story ones thus I can't miss them? So no idea why I couldn't fully upgrade the blades! Gotta be honest, never touched the spear beyond using the R1/R2 abilities, I found I took more damage than I dealt trying to use it, I greatly preferred the blades and axe. But yeah, the exploration and combat options were great either way! Over all I loved the game and had such a great time playing it! I just am sad I will never get the experience again of the Tyr, Brok, and Atreus plot twists for the first time again! Though I guess when I replay it I can maybe experiencing things in a new way knowing these twists!
Oh just editing on, the writing in the game was fucking great too! There was so many deep and complex lines, so many that struck with me and got me kinda emotional, like, the writing was great! But there were so many hilarious lines too! Like Mimir was fucking hilarious the whole game! "Chuck me at him brother, horns first!" "All-Fucker!" "What the fuck is an olive?" and so many more, but other characters had great and funny lines too! There just is too many to quote! Some entire conversations are great, like I love when Mimir and Freya roast Kratos over Lunda's orb :') Also I am quite sure that Thor does a Will Smith reference during his final fight!

It is that time of the year where I start to do my annual review of the games I have played for the year. I made it sound like I have tons of annual reviews but in truth, I only did one which was last year...
Tumblr media
(GIF Source: Imgur thru' Google Image Search)
Ahem, anyway, unlike last year where I categorised my games according to the platform which I played them on, I am going to categorise them as Completed, Currently Playing, and Anticipating. It makes more sense this way, doesn't it?
Obviously, I won't be putting all into one post because that would make it too long. I have also linked the two other posts to the respective titles above so you can just hop over to the other posts if you don't wish to read this one.
Now that's settled, on to the Completed list of games for 2023!
1️⃣ A Little to the Left
Tumblr media
(Picture Source: Nintendo thru' Google Image Search)
A Little to the Left is one of the top cozy and organising games during the Covid period and it has excellent reviews on Steam. The only complain many players had with the game is the "unjustified" price tag for the game.
The game revolves around a couple attempting to organise and keep their house tidy but their cat, being a cat, would mess things up. Each level in the game will give you some form of satisfaction after re-organising or solving the puzzles. Of course, you will have their cat coming to mess things up occasionally.
The levels are doable but there are some that are really tricky. Many of you who may wish to play it would definitely want to solve the levels yourselves, but trust me, there are some that are so tricky that I had to google the answer.
But if you are insistent on trying to solve it yourself without any help, then here are a couple of tips. First, you can skip the level you are stuck at and go back to it at the end. I am not sure what is the control function on Switch, but if you are playing on PC, you can open the menu by pressing the ESC key and select the "Let It Be" option to move on to the next level. There is no time limit, so you can take your time to try and solve those puzzles at your own time.
Second, observe every single feature in the level, especially for those which has multiple solutions. Some are easy to solve, such as arranging it into ascending or descending order, or by colours and the like. But it is usually starting from the second solution that is tricky. The tip here is to observe every single feature in the level. Take for example, the leaves at the bottom picture below.

At first glance, you would have guessed that the solution is by the colours. Congrats, you got your first solution, but there are more solutions to discover in this level. You will need to observe every thing in this level. Since the first solution is by colour, what else can you do to solve it? Is it by the leaf shape? Or by the length of the stems?
This is just one of the many levels that is designed as such. It may be liberating for some but there are those who may rage at not being able to figure out solution. My suggestion is to not be afraid to google the answer.
If you like to watch the gameplay of A Little to the Left, I have uploaded some videos onto my YouTube channel. The link will direct you to the playlist of the gameplay I have recorded and uploaded.
2️⃣ Death's Door
Tumblr media
(Picture Source: Nintendo thru' Google Image Search)
Death's Door took me almost half a year to complete though the game system said that I only spent slightly over 20 hours to complete...
Anyway, this game talks about this crow that just got a job at the Reaper's Commission, and was assigned his first job. He successfully completed it but got his assigned soul stolen by another crow who has been trapped for years. Our crow chased after the older crow only to witness him sending our assigned soul to a long and large black door, to which the older crow explained that he had to do it in order for him to get his own assigned soul back. Unfortunately, the door did not budge and the older crow asked our crow for help to reap three other large souls to be used to open the door. Our crow reluctantly agreed to help.
The story of Death's Door is simple to follow as long as you pay attention to the dialogue. If not, you can just go google the story. Otherwise, the game mechanics, the UI and controls are all very simple. The only thing that may have you pulling your hair roots out is the battle.
Now, I am more of a casual player but am willing to try such games. I thought it was probably because my dodging skills was horrible but the online guide which I follow has a disclaimer at the homepage of the game guide that said you will die in battle a few times before achieving victory. Alas, it wasn't because of my dodging skills (it still sucks) but that the game was created in such a way.
Of course, it is not impossible to win the battle on the first try, but that the chances of it is quite low; I guess you could say it is a once in a blue moon effort.
If you are interested in trying the game, here are a few advice, not exactly tips, that if you allow me to give.
Firstly, don't be afraid to experiment. The thing about this game is that although the game mechanics and controls are the same for all, there are different playstyles that each player is accustomed to. Some probably swing their weapon like a maniac while some do it with a strategic calculation. Apart from that, there are also weapons you can collect throughout the gameplay, each with varying degrees of damage output. I have seen a player on YouTube use an umbrella to battle. That umbrella's damage output is only 0.5 (the sword assigned to you at the start of the game is 1). However, it seems to work for him, which kinda emphasizes my point here.
Secondly, and those most important advice here, is that surviving is more important than attacking. The boss battles, be it mini bosses or final bosses, including the Avarice, can be frustrating. It is at those points in the game where you will die countless times. Often times you may see an opportunity to attack but it could also be your demise. My suggestion is to dodge more and attack less. Sure, the battle will be dragged longer but it will increase your chances of survival better.
Tumblr media
(Picture Source: EIP Gaming thru' Google Image Search)
Thirdly, you don't need necessarily need to achieve 100% completion rate to complete the game. The 100% completion rate is by levelling up your spells, visiting every shrine, and making sure that all pots are planted with a life seed.
While power ups and having a handy potted life seed is good, it is not necessarily needed to complete the game experience. It is possible to complete the game without any of those. Even so, I would still suggest trying to go for it because it will make your battle a tad bit easier to deal with, especially the fire spell (levelling up your fire spell will make your enemies experience continued burning damage after you throw a fire ball at them).
Final advice is to explore every nook and cranny of the map. There aren't any treasure chest with loads of goodies for you to collect, but because there may be some mass souls that you can pick up and exchange it at the vault in the Reaper's Commission for levelled up attack power.
While Death's Door was fun, I don't think I would go back to play it again because of the battle mechanics. It is really very frustrating which could prompt you to lose your interest in the game. However, it is also quite worth losing a few hairs.
3️⃣ Pokemon Scarlet
Tumblr media
(Picture Source: Nintendo thru' Google Image Search)
I'd be honest here. At the time of writing, I have yet to complete the game. I am very confident that I could get past the Area Zero with ease but it is the Pokemon League that has me worried. My sister who completed the Violet version a long time ago advised me to level up as many different types of Pokemon as possible before I tackle the Pokemon League.
I have a feeling that this game would very well run over into 2024, but I am not willing to put this game under the 2024 annual review since I am currently near to the end of the story. Moreover, I won't be able to play DLC because my country strangely does not support the e-shop.
Anyway, just like any other Pokemon game (to my knowledge because this is the first of such for me), you are an aspiring trainer ready to take your first big step into the world of Pokemon like Ash Ketchum, except in the Scarlet and Violet version, you got to attend the Pokemon Academy. But, of course, the whole purpose of a Pokemon game is to go out, explore, and catch Pokemon, which will be given to you after a few semesters in the Academy (time skip).
There are three quests for you to take (not optional). The first is the usual Pokemon League quest where you need to tackle the gyms located throughout Paldea. The second quest is helping Arven with his Mabosstiff by battling Titan Pokemon and acquiring some mystical herb. The third quest is to help Cassiopeia take down Team Star. All three are important quests to take on because they are located all over the Paldea region. If you are unsure of the order to go with, you can refer to this guide.
However, if you don't wish to tackle all at once, that my suggestion is to go for the Titan Pokemon quest first. The reason being is because after defeating each Titan Pokemon, your Koraidon, or Miraidon in Violet version, will acquire important skills beneficial to exploring Paldea. Afterwords, you can tackle both the Gym and Team Star together if you wish.
One thing I did to make my game experience smoother is to level up my Pokemon as high as I could. That's because I needed stronger Pokemon to battle the tougher Titan Pokemon. In order to do so, I went Tera Raiding, but that can also prove to get boring very easily.
Tumblr media
(Picture Source: IGN thru' Google Image Search)
The big headache for this game is trying to find which Pokemon is best to keep and which is best to release. Of course, the usual strong Pokemon like Garchomp, Dragonite, Tyranitar and the like, are the top choices. But you will still need a wide selection of different types of Pokemon. The easiest way is to get hybrid types, such as Dragonite being a Dragon and Flying type.
Another way is to get the tera types. So, for example, you may encounter a Vaporeon (water type) with an electric tera version. However, the disadvantage of it is that in order to utilise the tera version, you will need to terastalize your Pokemon which has a long cool down between battles.
Overall, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet can be quite addicting, but it can also get boring soon. I'd say that it's a double-edge sword. Still, being my very first RPG Pokemon game, it is quite an experience to behold. I do look forward to other similar games like this.

Writing asks I came up with:
1. What got you into writing fanfic in the first place?
2. What boundaries would you not cross as a writer regarding content?
3. Has a fic ever made you cry? And if so, what was it about that fic?
4. How do you feel about abandoning fics?
5. Are there any novel authors you like that have influenced your writing style?
YAY!! Asks!! Thank you so much for coming up with these! Get exciting for me to ramble and overshare (but do you expect anything less?!)
What got you into writing fanfic in the first place?
I have been writing fanfic since before I was even old enough to know what it really was. I was always day dreaming and drawing pictures inserting my own characters into my favorite stories, or forcing my favorite characters into my own situations (my mother used to transcribe the adventures of various Disney princess for me lol) the first *real* fanfiction I remember writing was in 5th grade for the book Eragon. My childhood best friend and I had a red spiral bound notebook that we passed back and forth and wrote our fic in. In terms of The 1975- I've been a fan of theirs since the Robbers music video started showing up on my Tumblr dash back in like 2014? (I couldn't figure out who I wanted to be more... Matty or the Robbers girl and years later I still in fact do not have an answer for that one lol) And I realized they were the same band that sang the song Chocolate. However, I didn't start posting my writing for them until last year when I was Going Through It™️ and my Bestie encouraged me to use it as an outlet (sorry Fictional!Matty! that's why your life sucks!)
2. What boundaries would you not cross as a writer regarding content?
I don't think I've actually killed off any *main* character or public figure yet and I can't actually see myself doing that? At least in something that I post for public consumption? Honestly that could change though. I don't really have any boundaries I'm not willing to cross because I am a firm believer that fanfiction is still considered art and art is supposed to make someone feel something and even make them uncomfortable. I actually have a fic that I've been working on that I'm hesitant to share because I'm not sure boundaries exist and I don't want to offend anyone (again) 😂
3. Has a fic ever made you cry? And if so, what was it about that fic?
This question isn't fair. I am a cryer, everything makes me cry. I started crying the other day because I love my horse so much (he's totally fine he was just looking super cute and was all happy I brought him carrots.) So yes, lots of fics have made me cry. Anything that I read that I can tell the author poured their heart into writing is honestly going to make me at least tear up and I am not ashamed to admit it. That's why I don't wear mascara on my lower lashes and only wear waterproof eyeliner 😂
4. How do you feel about abandoning fics?
I've only officially done it once, for a Hockey RPF fic that I just, wasn't enjoying working on. Everything else is just on "Hiatus" until I remember it exists again even if it takes years. I don't consider myself a quitter and abandoning a fic that I've started posting kind of breaks my soul. HOWEVER I do have a folder on my Google Drive that's just a graveyard of abandoned and half finished fics that I never posted that I go and visit sometimes.
5. Are there any novel authors you like that have influenced your writing style?
Yes! For sure 100%. However, I am currently sitting here going "I have never read a book before in my life" which is obviously a bold face lie you should see my GoodReads page but not really because there is a ton of my real life personal information on it lol Even though he's not (technically) a novelist (even though he did write a book!) can I say Pete Wentz? He's probably one of the writers I look up to the most. The way he bends words to pen lyrics just... scratch an itch in my brain and I hope I can one day make someone feel the way Fall Out Boy lyrics make me feel and I 100% feel like the flowery way he writes has influenced my to some capacity.
Thank you so much for sending these in! It was fun!
❤️Ally

not to get on a high penis horse but i've been wearing some kind of packer for a good decade by now and i really can't comprehend the lack of intuitiveness so many trans guys seem to have for it. like i've always been figuring that shit out no problem. i did a sock cock before i could buy a packer. it was easy. i didn't have to think about it, i just made it. i wore a hard packer casually for years and didn't care about looking like i had a hugerooni. like that was ideal. now i buy from mr. limpy and how did i find it? i just fucking googled trans man packers. like it's not fucking hard. they're really not that expensive either. and it's not hard to keep them from falling out of your pants. just wear tight boxer briefs. oh you don't know how high or low the penis goes? it varies. bc people are diverse. that or just look at a picture of a penis on google and there you go. why is this hard. no one's wondering why you're going to the stall in the men's bathroom either like obviously cis men fucking poop?? how do you not know how to shave jsut bc your dad never taught you how to shave your face like it's such a simple basic principle as shaving any other part of your body and in any case you live in computer times so just look it up??? idk at this point i'm just complainting about particular ppl who happen to be trans being dumb and not realizing that they're just dumb so they blame it on being trans. and also i'm low on inhibitions thanks to my good friend alcohol so out's coming a rant that i've been wanting to say to someone other than my bf for a long fucking time but anyway i guess i'm just admitting at my own expense, just for the sake of feeling like i've gotten it off of my chest, that i really do not think i'll ever get over a sense of not just my own but the concept alone of manhood being based in cis manhood, nor do i honestly even want to. maybe that's bad. it's probably bad. even talking about it like this is bad bc it betrays a sense that i'm trying to make myself like a victim of the nonbinaries or whatever even if i claim that i'm not. and i'm ngl there's a lot of spite for most of the rest of the current trans community brewing in me that i can't get rid of bc frankly it would fuck my sense of self if i tried all that hard. i want to be trans less than i ever have bc i'd at least have ppl i relate to bc the only thing keeping me from being exactly like a cis gay man is my cock and balls not being attached to me like there's no point at ALL to this nerf

I’m curious about your thoughts on Bix in that leaked teaser because I’m VERY worried about her storyline 😞
!!!!! thank you for asking!!! I am hella stressed about it too and I've got some long winded scrambled thots under the cut here:
As we know, she obviously isn't in/never mentioned in Rogue One and sometimes that implies a prequel character is doomed by the narrative so my main fear is that her story is going to end in her death. There's also a few lines from Cass in RO that could reinforce that theory (ie: him telling Jyn she isn't the only one who lost everything). Apart from me being totally biased, I do think it'd be a waste of her character, especially since she was criminally underutilized in s1 imo
anywho, from the poor quality clips/screencaps I've seen (I will admit that it can be kinda tough to tell who is who and some scenes flash by so quickly) it looks like Bix might be struggling a lot with feeling like her life is out of her control, even after at least a year time jump from s1. I do think it looks like she is the one who goes after Gorst either as revenge or to regain the control she lost or both. Then that shot of her in bed with the blaster could be the aftermath of that encounter, whether she succeeded or failed. If that's true then it doesn't look like it made her feel any better. But I imagine she'll be a very broken version of herself from when she first appeared in ep 1 because she basically did lose everything and was tortured to near insanity
All of this must have radicalized her, but it's hard to say what kind of rebel she'll be. I hope her storyline is centered mostly on herself, her healing, and the kind of person she wants to be in the war against the Empire. Based on the trailer and some set pictures I've seen, it looks like she’ll thankfully be taking on a more active role and I'd really enjoy seeing her kick some ass. At least for herself considering she had to get rescued a couple of times in s1.
It also very much looks like they're putting her back with Cass and, my own personal ship biases aside, I don't really like that at all. I really love the history and dynamic they share and I thought they made it pretty explicit that any romantic ties between them were cut. I've seen people theorize that she isn't in the right state of mind and might be grasping for any physical connection that makes her feel safe - which can make sense given the trauma she went through - but idk I wish we could explore more of a nuanced friend/familial relationship between her and Cass. I know it’s his show, but I really don’t want to see her be reduced to a romantic prop for him or god forbid she’s that and he loses her to further fuel his storyline. Either way, Bix is in a very vulnerable emotional state and I'm not sure any love interest would be necessary for her (yes I know how ironic that is coming from me and my many oc x canon google docs lmao) at least not until she's had the proper time to heal.
All this to say that it looks like they're setting her up for another pretty tragic arc next season and I hope the payoff doesn't end in complete emotional devastation, but this is one of, if not THE darkest star wars stories out there 🙃
These thoughts of course are just based off a grainy one minute teaser trailer that could very well be purposefully deceptive considering the show hasn't even finished filming yet. But I'd love to hear other people's thoughts too!

The cool thing about Rob Liefeld is that his original Image Comics characters are utterly unique and don't look like any established characters whatsoever.
Like Seahawk here, who has Aquaman powers and totally doesn't look like Xtreme Arctic Power Suit Batman:
Tumblr media
He uses his powers of being tough to murder guys, btw.
Or Deadlock, who totally is NOT a ripoff of Wolverine. His costume is red and white! That's totally different!
Tumblr media
He is basically a vampire. His main weapon is his totally cool claws, except his are his fingernails. No I don't know how they work if he's wearing padded gloves all the time.
Look. It doesn't matter. He uses his powers of being tough to murder guys. He's obviously an original creation.
...Shogun is totally not Blue Iron Man with a 1993 American Ninja Craze vaguely-Japanese hat!
Tumblr media
He has lots of guns, and his power is being tough. Which he uses to murder guys.
...I had to take this picture of Shogun from my own copy of Bloodstrike No. 1, because neither DuckDuckGo nor Google have anything more than one single lo-res pic of this guy. Both kept telling me I probably meant Marvel's Shogun Warriors.
They probably won't show me pictures of Shogun because he is too tough and kills too many guys.
Yeah. That's why.
Also, no, I don't know why a gun barrel would ever be oval-shaped, or have a weird spacer thing at the end of the barrel, or would have a barrel made out of segmented parts that would have seams that would interfere with a bullet quickly exploding in a spiral along them. You need to ask Liefeld, or Dan Fraga, who drew most of these.
I'm sure the answer isn't "because comic book nerds don't actually know what guns look like, and this was 1993 so they couldn't Google 'what the hell do guns even look like?'"

i've had this (and following) post for quite some time now in my drafts, because i have planned to make them a series but post all at the same time, but i i guess it will never happen. so, i'll post what i have because deleting them would be a waste either way. everything below is how i wrote it a month ago.
i wanted to think aloud why i write kuwagami the way i write them (as an excuse to go insane, re-watch every cutscene there is and over-analyze everything i can get my hands on). spoilers, delusions and some pathetic bitchy grown-ass men ahead.
part two is here.
i think they are so hard to get right (for me, at least), because each time they meet, they act differently around each other. like. literally every time. and we are forced to look at their relationship from the yagami's pov, who's the most volatile in this regard. if kuwana could've known yagami's past, gather other's impressions about him (sawa's of course, but also sugiura and tsukumo) even before they met, then yagami is kind of... far behind on that lol, and his prejudices hold him back further down the plot. he doesn't really understand (or rather, want to understand) kuwana until after the boat scene, while kuwana earlier expresses that yeah, he knew that yagami would say that.
but i'm getting ahead of myself there. let's start from the beginning.
part 1: before they met
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
yeah okay, i kinda embellished that part, it doesn't seem that sawa shares something substantial about yagami. but, at that point, kuwana doesn't really consider yagami much of a threat, though of course hasn't brushed him off completely. his main focus at the moment is, of course, sawa, who, as far as he knows, is the closest to discovering the truth.
so, getting rid of a prying detective is like killing two birds with one stone but you wouldn't be upset if one of them survived. or something. even though yagami appears in the picture way too early, kuwana underestimates him. he doesn't have a reason not to, there is no indication he did any digging at this moment. otherwise he would know that this detective is no pushover.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
sawa doesn't really underestimate yagami at this point, as she is the one who informs kuwana of a new threat. though i think she uses yagami more than cares about kuwana this much: she knows that this piece of information will provoke kuwana to make a move, if she's right in her suspicions about him.
Tumblr media
how kuwana knows where they'll meet? sawa tells him, straight up. there are only two ways anybody's going to know the location: through yagami and through sawa. yagami doesn't express the need to sabotage his own investigation, so she must've been threatened by someone who knows about the place from her. and, as far as we know, there's only one person who she shares the location with. the person she's suspicious of.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
in this situation, kuwana is pretty reckless. though can't really blame him, he already has a lot on his plate atp i guess.
about the sugiura and tsukumo part: i need to clarify that it's all a speculation, OBVIOUSLY.
we don't see the first reaction kuwana has to hearing yagami's name, so i can't be certain if he heard it before or not. so, there are several possibilities
possibility 1, the easiest: he never heard of him before. perfectly explains why he underestimates him that much and has no reason to thoroughly investigate the guy. even if the circumstances of his appearance are quite troubling, he doesn't have enough time and ground to be wary of him. after all, there's sawa who knows much more about kuwana.
possibility 2: he heard yagami's name from sawa, and not from sugiura and tsukumo. maybe, kuwana hasn't had enough time to do a basic research. just take a second to google him. i'm sure he'd find some troubling things about his past and what he'd capable of. (because yeah, like nobody ever mentioned some dude was kind of a reason why the vice minister of health has resigned, or something. sure.) or maybe kuwana is that reckless actually. i have my doubts about this possibility actually, which i'll talk about in length in the next post.
possibility 3: he heard yagami's name from sugiura and tsukumo, and not from sawa. it's always possible that yokohama 99 might have explained why they moved out of kamurocho, even if they've never mentioned the name of yagami's agency. they've had a nice chat, after all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
they have no reason to withhold this information. MAYBE they share it, and MAYBE that is another reason why after their first meeting kuwana starts to treat yagami differently, — he recognises what yagami is capable of. or actually, finally does some reseach.
possibility 4, unlikely: he heard yagami's name from all three of them and, somehow, it doesn't ring a bell. absolutely none. detective + yagami = who's this? never heard of him. ...or he thinks everything that 99 said to him is utter bullshit, and the guy is nothing to be scared of.
well. either way,

Rules
I like to keep my rules simple but I will add to them as I need to.
1. No godmoding or Metagaming. If you don’t know what this is, then I suggest googling it and looking up examples of it. It kills the fun and enjoyment of the rp.
2. I do not engage in real world politics, religion or Social justice or anything of that sort. I rp as a means of escapeism and these subjects often lead to a lot of drama. I would like to avoid such things for my own mental health, please respect that. Tagging such topics are appreciated but not necessary. Just know that I will ignore things on these topics. I would also apricate Pokemon tw , Evengeon tw and real depictions of spiders as Spiders tw, (fiction is fine) to be tagged.
3.My muses are Multiship and Multiverse. Meaning that each ship is in it’s own verse unless stated otherwise.
4. You are free to not interact with my OCs. Do not feel obligated to do so, though I will very much apricate it if you do. That said, filling out my interest tracker let’s me know if I can toss them at you or not. Otherwise I will assume you don't mind me tossing them at you. I am an adult over 18 and will not interact with Minors.
5. I don’t engage in things like Cancel culture and Drama. Leave me outta that stuff.
6. I’m a shy potato. I may take a while to reach out, but if I follow you, I want to rp with you. I’m just more apt to use sentence starters and memes to start something. Plotting is hard for me unless I have something to work with from my partners.
7. I don’t do reblog karma (but will respect if you do), that said I do follow Karma. If you don’t follow back in two weeks I will take that as a hint that your not interested in rping with me and unfollow. Less anxiety that way. This means I’m Mutuals only. If I don't follow you back within three days? I'm not interested in engaging in rp with you, you are free to DM me or send asks that are not rp threadable however. Private muses are for those that have 2 or more threads with me at least.
8. I don’t force ships I will typically ask you before hand if you want to follow canon or not with a canon ship before engaging. I am not here just for the romantic ship though! All types of bonds are interesting.
9. That said, I ship anything and everything within reason. Obviously no pedo/gross stuff. I do reference a canon ships but will do so in past tense if you don't ship it. The exception is Pentious/Cherri as my Pentious never had a thing for her (He respects her as a rival and enemy but any bond Positive bond would be platonic. My Pentious does not like crass women and Cherri is very much that). I am open to the idea of poly ship, etc and chemistry shipping always comes first. I ship the Vees as a poly but this is not necessary for those that don’t see them that way.
10. Do not reblog threads you are not in. It messes up the tracker. If you absolutely must have an rp post I did on your blog and you are personal. you can screencap it and post it as a picture on your blog so long as you give credit.
11. I have seen a “New Laws” thing going around. I am not taking part in that. Read here on my main blog for details.
12. If your blog has no rules or a bio for your OC I will not follow back. That stuff is important to know. Likewise I need a Hazbin/Helluva verse if you are fandomless or from another fandom. Otherwise I'm not sure how to best approach your muse. You are free to DM me if you have ideas and some exception can be made in that case.
13. Mun =/= muses. Roleplay is a fiction and the views and actions of the characters are not reflective of the Mun.
14. Lastly I reserve the right to rp or not rp with anyone for any reason.
Final notes. “Speaking.” “Thinking/Telepathy” {“Radio/Television etc.”}

survey #171
Do you always smile for pictures? I can't say ABSOLUTELY always, maybe I want a different mood for the picture, but in most cases, yes.
What is a big pet peeve you have? This is so random, but I tried to think of something I don't normally answer with, so people who take pictures with the animal they've killed. You see this especially a lot here in the South when it comes to deer hunters and it's like congratulations, you murdered an animal. I've made it clear I'm fine with hunting for food if you do it with a mindset of deep appreciation and honor, but I will NEVER support making hunting a loud, proud, happy thing. It's extremely solemn and should be treated as such, and that's absolutely NOT happening when you feel the need to take a fucking photo smiling next to a deer with its bloody tongue hanging out.
Is it okay for guys to wear pink? I'm honestly surprised I even still see this question in surveys, like honestly does ANYONE have a problem with a person that likely happens to have a dick wearing a specific color? Guys can wear whatever fucking color they want.
What do you dip your chicken nuggets in? I go back-and-forth between ketchup or honey mustard, depends on what I'm feeling.
Take any daily vitamins? I take Vitamin D once a week.
Have you been anyone’s bridesmaid/groomsmen? My sister's, yes. I was supposed to be one for my half-sister's wedding too, but we couldn't travel due to Mom's cancer; she was enduring chemo at the time.
Do you know anyone named Dennis? Yes, I had a great high school bud named Dennis.
If you had any advice to give the younger generation, what would it be? Being fucking loud in your pursuit of making the world better. Don't be shy about it, and take action whenever you have the chance.
What is something you have always been curious about? Dinosaurs. I'd say they were my first obsession, them or Pokemon, but pretty sure dinos.
What bands and artists did you listen to when you were a teenager? Basically what I do now, however I notably listened to more Korn, Metallica, and Manson, and even more Ozzy. My peak interest in classic rock and metal was while I was a teen. There are many others, those are just the really strong ones that stand out that I listened to A LOT.
Do your feelings get hurt easily? Yes, I know I am extremely sensitive, especially regarding particular subjects.
Do you have a friend who's always sending you TikTok videos? Do you actually watch them? No, I only ever occasionally get them from Girt, but not directly from TikTok, he most likely saw what he sent on Reddit.
Have you ever seen a cougar in the wild? No, pumas don't live in NC and haven't for centuries, apparently.
Will you attend a wedding in the next 3 months? No, I can't imagine that happening. I feel the next wedding I'll be at is either my own or Girt's sister's, which seems more likely to happen first.
What's your backyard or outdoor area like? Our backyard is super boring, it's just some grass, bushes, a single small crape myrtle tree, and a shed. It's very small, I basically never go out there.
Do you like your boss? (or your last boss if you don't currently have one) I didn't like my last one, the guy literally commented to another employee that the computer training work I did the last two days was a waste of time when he found out I'd had a breakdown and had to quit not even two hours into my first real shift. He didn't realize I was there; I obviously didn't say anything to him, but boy trust me I got plenty of crying in.
What's the hottest temperature your current town/city has ever had? Google says 106*F for my town. It's gotten slightly hotter out of the whole state, though.
Have you ever had a chia pet? Haha yeah, those were cute.
Do you know anyone who owns a pet chinchilla? Are they fun? I knew someone, but she didn't keep it a very long time. It was absolutely an impulse buy.
Do your parents trust you alone with members of the opposite sex? I'm an adult.
Have you ever cheated on a significant other before? Never.
Does your boyfriend or girlfriend have a pretty smile? His smile is SO fucking cute.
Do you get along with your significant other’s friends? The ones I've met, yes.
What’s the last TV show you watched, and do you relate to any of the characters? The Rain, and idk yet, we're still early into the series.
Favorite Taylor Swift song? I genuinely enjoy "Love Story."
Does everyone in your family have a job? Mom and I both don't. I'm actively looking for something, but my mom is on disability because of her cancer. She'd still work if she could, holy shit she hates not working and literally cleans the church she goes to for fucking free (in their defense, they used to pay her, but had to stop because of disability reasons), but there's just nothing she can physically manage and has the education + experience for.
Does your best friend have any phobias? I don't know about phobias, but I know he's sorta iffy about snakes (it's not a raging fear, he's just uneasy, I haven't gotten him to hold Venus yet lol) and he also doesn't like horror games or movies, he's jumpscare-prone. I thiiiink he doesn't like heights? I remember that's something I learned in our little couples fun book, but I can't completely recall what he said.
Do you prefer the taste of lemon or limes? Lemons.
Have you ever done any internship? No.
Do you have a digital camera? What kind is it? Yeah, I have a Canon EOS Rebel T6.
What is your favorite video game of all time? I generally answer this question with Silent Hill 2 and Shadow of the Colossus, but when it REALLY boils down to it, my favorite game I've ever played and the one that had the most profound impact on me is SH2.
Have you ever been in weather below 0 Fahrenheit (-17 Celcius)? No.
Do you use Instagram? If so, what's your current profile pic? Yeah, I have three different accounts for various purposes. My personal one though is me when my hair was red, it's one of my favorites.
What was the last thing you felt apprehensive about? Getting this last wisdom tooth out, I think I was actually more nervous than last time, despite it going just fine. I think because my last one was causing intense, legit pain and I just wanted that shit out so I was willing to do anything, but this last one wasn't causing me problems - yet.
Have you ever been caught outdoors away from shelter during a thunderstorm? Lol yeah, this happened at the Alice Cooper concert. At least it wasn't pouring buckets, it was mostly a lot of thunder and lightning. Also when coming out of the grocery store and to the car.
What's your favorite macaron flavor? Never tried them.
How many times have you stayed at a hotel in the past year, and where? None.
Are you the kind of person who can wake up with one alarm or do you need several? Generally one, but I don't use alarms a whole lot. I know in the past I've tended to set two if it's me waking up early.
What was the last physical pain you experienced? Getting numbing shots in my gums today.
When you exercise, do you do anything to entertain yourself like listen to music or watch TV? I listen to music when I use the bike.
Do you know anyone who is terminally ill? Yes.
Do you have nice views from your house? lol absolutely not
How often do you get paid? I don't.
Do you like bologna? Yeah; I don't have it much, but yes.
Do you have any upcoming plans with friends? Not at this very moment, but Girt's family and mine are likely gonna do something for the 4th of July.
Have you ever sung/spoken/performed in front of people on a stage? Yeah; in elementary school and for a while in the church I grew up in, I was in chorus/choir. I also had to read my D.A.R.E. report that won the writing contest in elementary to the entire 4th and 5th grade in the gym, and lastly, I took dance classes for many years and did numerous recitals and even one or two competitions.
What are the first three things you do when you wake up? Check the time, go to the bathroom, then take my thyroid med 30 minutes before eating + taking my other pills.
Can you remember the first time you ever talked to the person you love/like? Does he/she remember? I'm actually not 100% sure, but I FEEL like it was the time he invited me to sit with him and some other band buds during lunch; I was just sitting on my own, and thanks to him, for the rest of the year I ate lunch with them. I still appreciate the shit out of it. It's very possible we'd spoken some in band prior, but I feel like this event really started our friendship. I know he remembers this instance, but idk if he recalls it as our first real interaction either.
What was the last thing that one of your parents bought for you? A soda.
Is there a TV show or movie in which you’re incredibly emotionally attached to the characters? I think the only show or movie I've watched where I was "incredibly" attached to the characters was Meerkat Manor. Those little guys were basically family to little me.
Do you have any health problems that are unusual for your age? Yeah; my memory is absolutely horrific, and I also have tremors in my hands and feet. My legs are still very much weaker than a 27-year-old's should be, but at least this I'm recovering from. I don't know how truly uncommon this is nowadays, especially in America, but I'm pre-diabetic; very very barely, but still, it's a concern that is being watched closely. I've been told plenty of times by doctors that I'm too young to let diabetes happen to me, and I'm sure as hell not going to, especially when I'm genetically extremely susceptible to it.
Have you ever been hopelessly in love with a celebrity? lol no, the celeb "crushes" I've had are very invalid and not truly serious romantic interest, like I've known zero of these people personally and therefore I literally can't be "in love" with them. It's only ever a joke from me.
When was the last time you met someone who seemed very unpleasant? Today actually, the dental tech I saw today that helped with my wisdom tooth extraction was very dislikable, even my mom sent me a text about it (she was in the room with me) that she really didn't like her before I'd said a word about it. The dentist himself was great, but this lady was a bitch.
Are your eyes the same color as your siblings’ eyes? Only my brother's, but he has a different dad than me, and I have zero idea about the eye color patterns in Mark's family.
If you could house any pet, what would it be? I should preface with these are NOT regular, domesticated "pets" and only an absolute qualified professional should keep one (and never by ripping a healthy individual out of the wild), but an opossum. It's my dream to rescue and raise one one day, but I'd need training.
How often do you like to have sex? I don't have a set goal list for this lmao, sexual stuff happens when it happens. Thinking about it though, "things" probably happen at least once a week, sometimes more and sometimes less.
Do you exercise? Yes, I still do physical therapy exercises but now I prioritize the exercise bike following my visit with my nutritionist. I need more cardio and exercises in endurance.
What’s your favorite album from your favorite music artist? Ozzy's is Black Rain and Rammstein's is Zeit.
What is your Facebook cover picture? It's a gorgeous photograph of an adult meerkat and pup touching noses, I just edited the colors and lighting a bit.
When was the last time you weighed yourself? Yesterday, at the nutritionist. I lost a bit of weight since I last saw her! I know so because the number I saw was on the higher end of my daily usual fluctuations, yet it was still smaller than what it was previously. Yeah, all scales are different, but.
Would you convert to a different religion if your fiancé/fiancée was of a different faith? Nope, adios if you're gonna try pushing that shit on me.
What is the funniest one-liner Tumblr text post you’ve ever read? oh my god I couldn't tell you, I see so much gloriously unhinged shit lmao
What pharmacy do you use? Walgreen's.
What is your favorite Elvis song? "Devil In Disguise" is so great.
If you ever took dance classes, what were your favorite classes? Jazz. I like modern the most visually, but I was much better at jazz. There's a certain amount of grace and often flexibility you need in modern dances that I ain't got lol
Have you ever been a bad friend? I definitely have, more than once. I'll believe nobody who answers this with "no," we're all imperfect humans that don't always make the best choices.
What would you say are your top five bands/artists? Oh, that's so hard. I'll try though: Ozzy Osbourne, Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, Otep, anddddd... Motionless In White, or Korn.
Do you listen to a wide variety of music? Not really tbh, the very vast majority of things I enjoy have hard roots, like metal, rock, alternative, indie, etc. However there definitely are artists whose names you'd see on my music player and be surprised by, like Melanie Martinez, Jeffree Star, and Marina. I'm more open to other music than I was as an older teen, but I like it to be very charismatic, different.
Is your Facebook profile private? Yes.
[TW: DOMESTIC ABUSE] Do you have abusive family members? In my extended family, yes.
