Reverse Falls!!

Soo this is my take on Reverse Falls!! I don't really know which are the original designs or which are the new personalities that each character adapts, so I made my own headcanons!! :3

It should be noted that there are characters who do not change personalities with anyone, but rather their personalities are more exaggerated or are opposite to the originals. Or (in the case of McGucket) their relationships are different so they change their way of being progressively.

EXPLANATION TIME:

This is quite long, I'm going to explain the personalities of each one and how they relate to various characters. Credits to: hours of daydreaming and Google Translate  (TW: child abuse, emotional and physical abuse, homophobia, classism. I don't know if there's anything else, just in case)

Pacifica Northwest: Outgoing and very expressive. She didn't know Gideon very well until her parents sent her to Reverse Falls. She likes to knit, draw, and has a lot of stuffed animals. She has a lot of hair, and likes to do different hairstyles every day ("to be innovative"), cries when she has to cut it. She is very affectionate with Gideon and tries to get him out of his shell. She is a little insecure, but likes to see the positive side of things. She gets along very well with Bud, although sometimes she feels he is a little weird. Symbol: Llama (on her sweater)

Gideon Gleefull: Insecure, has little self-confidence, very skittish and anxious. Has a habit of chewing when he is thinking, like OG!Dipper (chewing on pens, his shirt, etc.). He didn't really know how to talk to Paz at first since the first time they met they were very little, what was she going to say?, was a "Hello" enough?, a handshake?, a complicated handshake?, was she going to ignore him? Paz simply gave him a big hug when she got off the bus (+ gave him a sweater she made on the way). Symbol: Telepathy star (in his hat)

Bud Gleefull: Ultimate scammer. Very friendly and funny, although sometimes a little intimidating. Bye Hawaiian shirts. Very patient with Gideon. He is basically the “cool uncle/dad”. He put Paz to work the day she arrived, although he became attached very quickly and gave her family privileges (he does the same with Gideon).

Mason “Dipper” Pines: He is still very insecure but is able to feign confidence when standing on stage with his sister. He still has a lot of passion for science, he is not very affectionate, he holds back his emotions as he does not want to look vulnerable, especially in front of Stanford. He has a lot of respect for Ford (or rather, fear), being his apprentice he sees him more as a teacher, a superior figure than as an uncle; however he has very little respect for Stan, threatening him and making fun of him. He does not usually use his amulet much, only to practice tricks or in his shows. He has a very distant relationship with his sister, similar to that of the Stan twins. They have many disagreements, but they still have each other's back, especially when Ford is aggressive with one of them. The most sincere relationship he has is with F, although he still treats him like an employee, knowing that he was one of the brilliant minds behind the portal he respects him. Sometimes he discusses theories and shares discoveries with him (although he is embarrassed to think that his only "friend" is an employee of his uncle). Once he met Gideon and Paz, he was able to show his more fragile side and be himself, although he doesn't consider them completely friends (that changes post-weirdmageddon). Mabel Pines: A spoiled brat, basically. She's very charming and friendly on stage and with guests at the Pines' many parties, but she's very whiny and selfish behind the scenes. She's not at all affectionate, to the point that she hates physical contact, especially if it's from townspeople. She resents her brother a lot for being Ford's "favorite" (he doesn't really have favorites, he's just less strict with Dipper because he's useful to him). She's Stan's spoiled child, giving her what she wants when she wants it (they have a nice relationship actually, Stan being one of the only ones who comforts her when she's sad). Instead of knitting, she likes to design her own dresses and accessories for shows and parties (her guilty pleasure is arts & crafts, since it's a very "childish" activity for a Pines). Obsessed with Paz, but learns to respect her limits throughout the story. Symbol: Shooting Star (a small pin)

Stanley Pines: He basically swaps personalities with Bud, runs the Telepathy Tent, is very friendly, and is scared of his brother and the twins. He never gets involved in Ford's experiments, having a very tense relationship with him. He loves the twins very much but knowing the power they have with those amulets he prefers to go along with them and not question too much what they ask (he knows when to be firm but the one who really has an impact on them and can make them see reason is Ford). Symbol: Oyster(?? (on a necklace)

Stanford F. Pines: Did you think OG! Ford was a jerk? Well now he's twice as much! He doesn't have an ounce of empathy in him, he's very narcissistic and only cares about his projects and his image. He doesn't care at all about the twins, only seeing them as a way to make money, demanding the most out of them, and he doesn't hesitate to use violence if any of them get out of line. He's very distant with Stanley, speaking to him very dryly (or rather, barely speaking to him at all). He's almost a hermit, living in his laboratory, not letting the townspeople get to know him; although unlike OG! Ford, he cares a lot about how he presents himself in front of the public, taking care of his image and clothing. He's very demanding with Mabel, as he feels she's nothing more than a spoiled child, the image of the Telepathy Tent along with her brother. He is a bit kinder to Dipper, as he realizes that he has a brilliant mind for his age (though not more so than his own), so he includes him in many of his experiments and research if he proves useful; but excluding that, he is just as insensitive as he is with his twin, mistreating him if he does not comply with what is due. His relationship with McGucket is kinda weird: although they were friends in college, the power that Bill/Will offered him completely consumed him, being abusive to F, forcing him to work long nights, keeping him awake by force. He only sees him for his use: his great skill with mechanics (which Ford does not have, although he hates to mention it). Although he was in love with F while he was at Backupsmore, he currently has no romantic feelings towards him, considering him an employee, his assistant, nothing more. He has internalized homophobia (a gift from Filbrick) and classism, so he hates to remember when his relationship with F was one of equals, friends. It disgusts him to think about when he would get so emotional around him. Symbol: Six Fingered Hand (the diaries)

Fiddleford H. McGucket: He is still the brilliant mind he was in his youth, but stress eats him alive. He started to age very quickly thanks to it. He invented the memory gun to try to forget all the horrible things he witnessed or that Ford made him suffer, but his boss doesn't allow him to use it too much since it can damage his mental health and erase knowledge, making him less efficient and useful. He doesn't have a very deep relationship with Stanley, since he practically lives in the lab where Ford forces him to work, but they are able to talk whenever F has a break (almost never). He can't stand the twins too much, not only because he feels that they are very annoying, but because the simple presence of children in his day to day life reminds him a lot of Tate, with whom he no longer has contact. Everyone knows about the abusive relationship he has with Stanford, they are not indifferent to it but they try not to mention it or get involved in his affairs (practically out of fear of Ford).  Throughout his stay with Stanford he started developing an emotional dependence on him: not only did he make him feel that he was useless without him, but he uses violence on him when he is not fulfilling his duty, causing F to blame himself when this happens (What did he do wrong? What can he do to improve?). This got to the point where he started to hurt himself when he did not do something right. Ex: hitting himself when he noticed that his leg was bouncing in front of his anxiety (something that bothers Ford a lot), pulling out clumps of hair in front of the stress of not being able to achieve something, biting his nails, scratching himself, hitting his head (imagine Dobby from HP). Such actions and the mixed feelings he had towards Ford, made him develop masochism, enjoying when he inflicts pain on himself and when he is the victim of Ford's physical and psychological abuse, he clearly hid this for a while since it would look very unprofessional on his part.  Eventually his boss found out and used this to his advantage, being quite sadist himself (he enjoys watching or inflicting pain and/or humiliation on others, in this case, he gets sexual pleasure). So every time Ford needs to let off some steam, vent his frustrations (or is just horny), he uses Fiddleford to fulfill his fantasies, making F's wishes come true as well. He basically uses him as a sex toy, and F doesn't complain, having suffered so much emotional manipulation, he even considers himself lucky that his boss wants to be with him like this, even if it's NOT healthy. Bill Cipher: I don't like the idea of ​​changing his name, so Bill stays. He's still the same chaotic demon as in the original series, but this time he's been tricked by Ford into working for him and doing his bidding. He's also forced to do the twins' bidding. We already know that Bill can change his shape and color, so I think all of his shame and self-pity manifests itself in his appearance, turning blue over time (any strong emotion makes him change his appearance). He manipulates Gideon and Paz, making them feel sorry for him so they'll do his bidding (it doesn't work, clearly). The people he has the most contact with are Ford and Fiddleford, as they spend most of their time in the basement where he's locked up.

So that's it. I don't really know how this timeline would work, considering the portal and the journals, but I just wanted to have fun with the character designs and relationships (I feel like the weirdmageddon would happen sooner than in the original timeline). I'm thinking of making a fanfic or smt to explain their day to day life in the lab and how Ford invited F to work with him (SPOILER: it didn't go well...).

Mabel couldn't find Dipper. For twenty minutes she's been running around Bills piramid only to get the demon further away from her Grunkles. That worked out. Kinda. Now she couldn't find a way back and had him running after her and her brother. And now she lost him! She really hoped he was fine. Hearing a booming sound she turned to another corridor. This one was looking... different?

It was smaller and narrow, as if the walls were about to crush her trying to protect something further. On the end of it, she found grand traingle doors. She really hoped whatever was inside would be harmless enough to let her rest a second. She opened them, coming into a big luxurious room. It looked like some sort of a penthouse with an expensive cauch, a fireplace, chandelier and a-

"Oh! Mabel, hi!" - Wait, what? It was you! Y/N her cool older friend, the one who helped her out in numerous adventures, and the one who vanished, just some time before the start of Weirdmaggedon! She could't belive her own eyes!

"Y/N? What are you doing here! Has Bill kidnapped you and inprisoned? We were so worried!" The girl rushed to hug you. "We need to go! Bill is-"

"Go? Oh Mabes, why would we go anywhere?"

She took a step back. You looked the same as always. Just maybe more elegant? Her tired mind desperately searched for the explanation for the weird feeling she had right now.

"Y/N... what... what have you been doing since the start of Weirdmaggedon?"

"Oh, well, I was sitting here " you gestured around the luxurious room. You didn't seem to be panicked at all. Have you get used to the situation? " I've been quite bored, but overall I'm fine, really! I'm glad you're here to visit!"

"Visit? No! I'm here to defeat Bill! Have you seen what he did to the town? To the people?!"

Despite your face being frozen on a smile something in your eyes changed. You didn't answer immiediately, stepping back to a table nearby, pouring yourself a drink. You talked slowly, as if you were soothing a panicked animal cought in a trap.

"Oh yes. Trully a work of art. It took time to design all of this you know? Do you have a favorite part?"

She felt her stomach drop. She misheard you right? O-or you're just acting! Or under some weird demonic enchantment, you wouldn't say such a thing, right?

You smirked tilting your head. " Well... in my opinion, the top three things would be... hmm, the walking water tower - I know, I know, a boring choice, but it walks very funny and-

"Y/N, listen-" you ignored her, continuing as she wasn't even there "- the second would be bubbles, very creative, colorful and fun, you know? Especially yours, it was so cute it made me a bit jealous! It's a shame I didn't get to visit tho. Yes I know, sorry, don't look at me like that, I will do that next time ok? Now! Drumrolls! the first place goes toooo-"

You looked at her as if wanting her to guess. In response she gave you a mixed look. It seemed like you clearly needed some help, but there was no time to sit around.

"I dont know, what is it?"

" ME " she jumped quickly pointing a grappling hook at the intruder. It was Bill, again in his yellow tamer form, standing awfuly close to you and holing-

" Dipper!"

"Nu-uh Shooting star! You're not playing with that toy anymore!"

At the snap of his fingers her weapon dissapeared. He grabbed her and before Mabel could move she found herself in the same hand where Dipper was trapped in. But you? You just stood there.

"Y/N! Help us!" her brother shauted. You only responded with a piting look in your eyes. Until your attention moved over to the demon getting closer.

"Hey toots! Check this out - a pegasus dropped it off today!" he handed you a card. From where the twins where placed they could see a drawing of the pyramid and a short text which Bill read out laud:

"It's a "I missed you, B.", and yes, it's me, I'm the B, also there was no pegasus, also there was me."

He blinked at you.

You gasped and smiled, your cheeks got darker and your hands tauched where your heart was supposed to be.

"Oh Billy! You're such a romantic!"

Dipper looked at you with disdtain "You just didn't say that."

"Oh but they did! That's my spouse after all!" you both laughed at shocked faces of the children. It was funny how none of the Pines realised they had a traitor among them. Now everything started to make sense. How you claimed to love spending time in the shack. How your face always lingered on Dippers journal. How you never smiled at Stanford but was always calming him down after a fight with his broher. How they all could always count on you, to take care of the kids on their silly adventures.

"How could you!" Mabel felt her eyes getting watery. She really liked you. She trusted you!

You shrugged lightly smiling. " Oh dear, don't be sad, it was always the plan. I'm sorry you have to be entangled in all of this"

"No you're not."

"Ha. True, I'm not. You know me so well kid."

"Why. Why did you do all of this? We were friends-"

"Oh HA HA HA, they already have friends kid! And money, fame, riches, infinite power! And the handsome ol' me! What else would they need?"

"An entire world to rule?" - You kissed Bills eye while handing him a drink "Oh, and I don't want you to take it the wrong way, you know? But i hate you. I thought I could get over it. But I feel sooo tired. And it's just the time to split up! I mean, honestly, you and your grunkles had lot's of chances to get to the right side of history but you decided not to. Now you pay. Tell my thanks to Ford, I would never meet the love of my life, if not for his stupidity." your smile dropped.

"Y/N you can still fix this!"

"As if!" Bills form grew larger while he opened the door "See you sweetcheeks, I will get that equasion in no time! Gotta disassemble some kids molecules!"

You stayed there smiling, waving back at Bill.

That was the last time they saw you.

My drawing stylus died yesterday but I got it to work again! Divine Falls Mabel and Dipper will be out tomorrow in all of their glory with creator notes! I'm actually enjoying Mabel's design way more than I thought I would.

Anyways, I feel like I should post Divine Falls lore/plot because... I want to.

In chronological order, not in order of how the show goes.

Ford and Stan, the twin gods of Life and Death respectively, are born to Caryn and Filbrick, married gods of Propecy and whatever I decide Filbrick gets because I literally can't think of something good for him. Ford, as Life, is put on a pedestal. For the first few years of their lives, Stan and Ford (and Shermie, god of conception or some shit, I'm still working on it) have their own wings of the main temples that their parents have. Caryn and Filbrick have one shared temple with a bunch of wings for various things.

College in this AU is replaced by temples, or rather, the status of temples. West Coast Tech is replaced by Ford being offered a large temple so large that a large city will be built around it. Think Athens. And yes, this era is very ancient Greece era because god au. Don't worry, we'll hit modern era.

So Stan wants to travel to spread his blessings. As the God of Death, he doesn't have many, but what he does have are the blessings that go unappreciated. Like granting a peaceful death to people or letting people say final goodbyes. Extending someone's life just long enough that that they can say goodbye to those that matter to them. And he wants to adventure. He wants to spread his blessings silently and see as many things as possible. He wants to do all this with Ford, whose blessings are way more obvious - long and prosperous life, fertility, that sort of thing.

When they're about to set off into the world, a human architect approaches the temple that's run by Caryn and Filbrick offering a huge temple to Ford. Filbrick wants those sweet offerings that mortals make to gods, but Stan doesn't want Ford to take it. Ford is conflicted but promises that if something goes wrong, he'll go with Stan travel the mortal world.

As an accident, Stan accidentally kills the forest where they want to build the temple and the town surrounding it. Stan becomes a pariah because he messed up his brother's chance to have his own temple. Stan goes on the run, pretending to be a mortal and spreading blessings more subtly. He still ends up in jail because people think he's suspicious, but he manages to break out every time.

Meanwhile, Ford is struggling to make his own mark. Because his first temple was ruined so dramatically - rotted trees and cracked stone all the way down - architects see him as a bad omen. He manages to share a temple with Fiddleford for a while, then finally gets his own little temple in a small, newly founded lumber town, where he becomes the main religious figure. People have to make pilgrimages to him, but for the most part, he's free to just exist as a god in a remote mountain town in butt-fuck nowhere, oregon.

One day, he's wandering around disguised as a mortal when there's not many people praying to him as he often does. He finds a cave and senses divine energy and decides, fuck it, he's gonna go in. He finds an inscription on a wall in a language long lost, even to him, and recites it in stuttering words. He's almost disappointed until Bill shows up.

To Ford, Bill feels divine, but weakened. So, naturally, instead of assuming Bill is a fallen Old God (which is the correct answer), he assumes Bill is an archangel for a fallen god - "Maybe even Stanley's archangel? Did he ever have one?" - because archangels are much closer to mortal life than gods are and can be seen in their most powerful form without driving a mortal insane. Basically near-mortal vessels of pure divinity. Bill being a triangle, well, it's odd for an archangel, but Ford's willing to handwave it because divinity does strange things to the mundane and a part of him is latched to the idea that Bill is somehow the mortal hand of Stan (where mortal hand is shorthand for archangel or other mortal vessel of divinity) despite the fact that that makes no sense. Bill uses this to convince Ford that his power, his remaining divinity, can be restored by a certain magical artifact that needs to be remade.

Now, Ford is good with creation and life, but not so much with recreating ancient artifacts with inscriptions from gods and divine entities long dead. So he calls up his old pal Fiddleford, god of Science, to help. Instantly Fiddleford is suspicious of Bill because something feels off. Additionally, Ford was always the one who preferred learning new things about mortal life and ancient artifacts, yet he didn't even bother trying to translate the text? But alas, Fiddleford doesn't know a lot about translating the odd and the strange, so he leaves it at just an odd feeling.

As I'm sure you know if you are a Gravity Falls fan, Fiddleford is right to be suspicious of Bill. In this, Bill's trying to restore his powers and status as an Old God. Part of the way through the reconstruction of the artifact, it goes haywire and Fiddleford receives a fraction of Bill's sealed power, which includes a lot of very not good things, like straight up mass mind control with no cooldown or wind up. It makes him realize that, oh, Bill is an Old God in disguise. He leaves the project and Ford gives up a fraction of his divine influence so Bill can use it to finish the project. He's nearly at the end when Ford takes over again to go grant a blessing. And then he realizes Fiddleford was right.

He calls up Stan, first verifying that he's been tricked and that Stan never had an archangel or other mortal hand due to being an outcast despite the fact that, as Life and Death, Stan and Ford could have mortal hands. When Stan affirms this, Ford calls him over.

Despite being a god, Stan has to manually travel to Gravity Falls, Oregon - his divine influence is weak and many people don't even know that there's a god of Death anymore, let alone worship him. He's stealing offerings from other god's altars just to survive at times - and often gets thrown in jail because he's seen as thieving from the gods when he, himself, is one of them. When he gets to Ford, Ford has descended into paranoia and the town is nervous and anxious due to their town's patron deity not interacting with them anymore. Ford is in his human form, which seals most of his divine influence, when Stan gets to the temple. He's paranoid and isn't even letting people in his temple. Luckily, he has enough offerings to sustain himself, but he's basically starving himself so he and Stan have about the same amount of influence - basically none.

The journals are literally the same except they cover different topics. Basically, Ford gives Stan a book (Journal 1) that covers how best to perform the duties of Life. Journal 2, as held by Gideon, describes how best to use offerings and influence granted by worshippers. Journal 3, once discovered by Dipper, is a record of divine phenomena such as how festivals affect divinity and how the flow of time can sometimes warp strangely (see: The Time Traveler's Pig in canon for why I need to write time travel into the journals). All three have mentions of Bill, and the diagrams and notes for how to recreate the divine artifact.

Ford, instead of getting thrown into the multiverse, has his influence sealed and his power is scattered across the universe as a rogue natural force. He's sentient but he can't interact with anyone, not even as a wisp of influence. His power has been sealed in the same place most of Bill's is, which makes it so he can interact with Bill's well of influence. He spends his time attempting to annihilate Bill's power while sealed, resigned to never being brought back because the artifact is partially crushed, mostly used, and two of his journals have been relocated around the town.

Stan takes over the temple. It starts small, where he just uses some of the stockpiled offerings, one after the other, but eventually, he runs out of influence and needs to reopen the temple. Luckily, if he steals some of Ford's accessories that are the things most vividly depicted in murals of him, he can pass as Ford, the God of Life, pretty easily. He uses the journal to bullshit as many of Ford's powers as possible, but that's rather difficult so he ends up just using any of his powers that he can. Because he has a lot of blessings he can give, it works, and he's able to pass as a somewhat-subpar Life for a few centuries.

Fast forward to probably about the same time Gravity Falls takes place (if not a little earlier). Mabel and Dipper, twin Gods of Earth and Space, live with their parents, the Sun and the Moon, until they're sent away to live with "Stanford, god of Life" in his temple. The idea is that they're learning how to harness their powers best with an experience god on their power level while also using the small town that's very used to the divine and supernatural due to the sheer amount of gods walking among them to learn how to interact with mortals. Dipper finds Journal 3 and uses it to learn a lot of things about divinity and the anomalies.

Something that might be seen as a plot hole: the Earth and Space have existed probably longer than Life of Death. As have a lot of the concepts embodied by children - Pacifica is the god of Change which is one of the oldest concepts ever and Gideon, as the god of Magic, has existed as long as magic has existed. To cover for this, every once in a while a God's essence needs to be returned to the fabric of the universe to merge with other concepts and create new world and religious orders. For example, when Pacifica and Fiddleford (Change and Science, respectively) die, their essences will meld together into Progress. Therefore, Mabel and Dipper were likely part of an entity known as Reality before they died and split into twin gods.

Dipper, as Space, is naturally inclined to keep learning everything about everything - things symbolized by space include mystery, magic, and knowledge, after all, so he's likely to seek out the strange, paranormal and divine.

Mabel, as Earth, is a free spirit who adores creation and finding new, fun mortal pursuits. In general, she's a lot more focused on the mortal side of things than Dipper is - where he wants to learn everything about godhood and their divinity, she wants to enjoy walking among mortals for as long as possible.

When Ford gets brought back, he yells at Stan, revealing he was about to destroy the seat of Bill's power and now they have to go about it the hard way.

Most of the series plays out mostly the same except Weirdmageddon is replaced by Bill regaining his godhood and is defeated by erasing his divine presence with something similar to the memory gun, which has been invented by Fiddleford to prevent his influence from fracturing. There's new logistics behind it which I will. get to. eventually.

So that's basically a broad overview of the plot and I might end up making this into a fic because I have gone feral over this AU. In case you. Couldn't tell.

I might make a separate blog for Divine Falls stuff one of these days because this is a lot, but I'm not sure I will.

evil art style! my art style has quite a lot of range but I decided to default to chibis for this. I also didn't want to like, just draw one character bust up like i see most people do for it, so I wanted to come up with a way to show multiple characters on one page in an appealing manner

sonic drawing practice! I've been procrastinating this one because the lineart I've done so far on it is almost too good. I'm not sure If i can keep up the standard set

jame-joe doodles! really wanna keep developing this concept: I think it has decent potential! i don't remember how much I've shared about him but i don't think i've talked about it much beyond the base premise. Jame-Joe is inspired by characters like Dipper and Wirt, he's clever, is serious and studious in the pursuit of his goals, can be rather emotional and is prone to cowardice and insecurity, but can be determined when push comes to shove. I set myself up for a challenge here, as I want him to be expressive but limited by his doll body. It's a fun challenge though!

fdanfsdjk I almost feel bad for spoiling this one because I'm so excited to share it!!!! But i guess the sorta person to read through this post probably don't mind spoilers lol. I realized 'Timmy's a 2000s kid' and decided to go ALL IN on that. I dug deep into my memories and decided this kids going to need rainbow looms, slap-wraps, silly bandz, and those rubbery braclets where theres one white segment and one black segment and i have no clue if this is true but when i was a kid everyone always said the white segment was snow from mount everest and the black one was like sand from the bottom of the ocean. anyway! I had so much trouble wiht finding the right shade of pink that if i go trhough making a youtube video on these designs you guys will definitely here my color theory rant.

How do their personalities compliment each other? How do they clash?

God, so many ways. Let's not even start with the whole Mystery Loving Man falls for Cryptic Being With Infinite Knowledge. That's all too poetic a match. These two literally exist to compliment and contrast; their existence both pulls and pushes in equal measures, and I love them for that.

For compliments, it's clear they're both rather intelligent, meaning they're able to bounce off of each other in different ways. Of course, Bill knows more, but of what Dipper learns, he's able to apply and deconstruct it. It's fun watching him take information and use it to his advantage, and for Dipper to squeeze a bit of forbidden knowledge out of his partner when he can.

There's also that hidden vindicative side to Dipper that Bill just loves! He's not nearly as vicious, but give him a petty reason, and you've got yourself possibly the most convoluted, over the top revenge story you've ever heard on your hands. Bill's too extreme for ideas, but of what he provides, Dipper draws inspiration, dials it back, and hits the sweet spot of poetic justice.

For contrast, let's not even pretend Bill isn't out here trying to kill people on a daily basis. Dipper does not approve. They've gotten into more than a few fights over Bill dragging blood over the carpets, or screaming decorum when Dipper specifically said to keep it out of his line of sight.

Their level intake of horror as a whole is laughably different. Bill could roll around in viscera and guts for hours if he could. Dipper gets weak at the knees if he sees a video of someone breaking their leg. Needless to say, they don't always agree on date night plans.

Do they stay up all night just talking?

You'd think two people who can get so annoyed with one another would know when to quit bickering and just snooze for a couple of hours, but truth be told? They can't get enough of it. Dipper's frustrated with Bill most times, but if the man ever chose to flop on his side mid-convo for some shut eye, he'd visibly wilt. What's all that about? This was getting fun. :(

Yes, they do stay up all night just talking, and they love it a lot more than they let on.

What's a non-verbal way they say I love you?

Pretty much their whole relationship is this, so we'll have to shave it down for time.

Bill not letting Dipper get mauled or killed is pretty telling to most non-humans. That's already much more than you'd do for a being that only lives an average of 70 or so years. The fact he lets Dipper call him an obtuse isosceles without bursting him into flames is also pretty telling. I'd say his constant clinginess is also a factor, but let's be honest, he'd chat it up with a brick wall if it served him any immediate purpose. It's the times he's actually quiet that say the most. Just wrapping him up in his arms and holding him close. Can't get anymore obvious than that.

Dipper's a bit different. He's not great at romance, but he understands Bill, and he knows what the guy likes: attention. Now, you don't wanna feed someone with an ego the size of a planet too much praise (arguably none), but the occasional nibble can be tossed. If Bill does something that makes Dipper's heart skip a beat, or goes out of his way to fix a problem that he didn't have to fix, Dipper might let him know that he's kind of amazing and powerful, or at least looking reasonably smoochable.

Additionally- and this is rare- he might show some interest in his evil schemes if under the right conditions. He's not dipping his hands into that particular poison, but maybe one day he sees Bill standing in front of a miniature replica of a battlefield, looking stumped yet intrigued, fidgeting over whether this one powerful pawn should go here or here. Dipper shuffles over to where he's looking, and without really thinking about it goes, "it needs to go here," smacking it where Bill wasn't even looking. He blinks. The placement is-. Not practical, but given a second thought, it's actually genius!

Doesn't happen too often that Dipper gets involved in Bill's big plans, when he does though, his partner's heart practically breaks out of his chest.

More stuff I noticed these two have in common:

Both appear near the end or in the end of the intro-Gideon in one photo whereas Bill's full image with the zodiac appears in his journal page.

Both had cameos before their debut without counting the intro(Bill throughout S1 while Gideon in S1ep2)

Both like making an entrance whenever possible, either to introduce themselves or annoy certain people- Appearing out of nowhere or using their shadows, sometimes with a song, coming out of the dark, breaking through something like paper, among others.

Both have similar ways of talking although Bill's is more relaxed and informal.

Both seem to enjoy pain, especially if it comes from members of the Pines family, especially if it's Dipper. And either they cause it themselves or just order someone of their criminal gang to harm someone who antagonizes them like how Bill orders 8 Bal and Teeth to eat Dipper and how Gideon sends two of his gang members to harm a kid who insulted him.

When meeting the rest of the Pines Family-Dipper and Mabel- they alredy have a member they adore and another they like and another one they dont like and hate-Ford and Mabel being the objects of affection (Although they didn't show us Ford and Gideon interacting, I imagine Gideon has utmost respect for him as he's the author of the journals but Ford would go "I just wanna talk to him" (with his gun) mode as soon as he learns everything he did to his family) and Dipper and Stanley are the loathed ones for being rivals and getting in the way of their plans and protecting their family from them.

Both don't think too much of the companionship that Ford and Mabel keep at first, but start disliking once they get involved with their plans and attempted to get rid of them (Bill's plan at least worked but McGucket regained his memory later on and helped wherever he could in Weirdmageddon and it was thanks to his inventions-Shack-Tron and The Memory Gun-that the town was saved)

Although their defeats were at the hands of the Pines Family, McGucket played a part in their defeats cause without the Gideon Bot, Stan couldn't have showed them the truth behind Gideon and it was thanks to the Shack tron that they could get to Bill and hold him off while they rescued Ford and gave them enough time to come up with a plan like the zodiac and when that failed they got to use the Memory Gun which erased Bill.

Both were friends, allies with or at least knew weird, magical or anormal individuals and/or creatures- Both the Henchmaniacs, Toby Determinated or members of the Pines family like Ford and Mabel since they are weirdos; Bill with a wizard that later tricked him, the black hole he denies dating and he is fan or he is fond of certain dangerous creatures like Land Orca, Eye Stealer, David Lynch, Guillermo del Torso, Bloody Mary among others and Gideon with McGucket in Season 1, creatures shown in Journal 2 and finally Bill himself.

Their image is plastered across the town-Gideon via billboards, publicity such as TV commercials or the newspaper or his merchandise Bill via drawings of him and the Mystery Shack´s furniture and during Weirdmageddon.

Speaking of, both have billboards!

Both dont truly respect authority figures like they should due to their power over them-Gideon had the police fooled with his cute act and his parents are terrified of him so he can get away with treating them like he wants, Bill doesn't care for the Time authorities and dislikes the Time Baby, when he was captured for the goverment he didn't take them seriously and was continuosly throwing jabs at them like doing "your mom" jokes, defied Gravity Fall's police during Puppet Hour going so far as to whack an officer in the stomach, and he couldn't care less for Mayor Tyler's authority of the town.

Both damaged parts of the town with their plans- The Mystey Shack, the train tracks where they had the fight with the Gideon Bot and a part of the forest with the explosion caused by the robot's fall and the statue for the mayor Befufftlefumpter during the Gravity Falls elections with dynamite and Bill was responsible for the creation of the Bottomless Pit, raised the dead, the creation of the portal which ended affecting the town's gravity when Stan re-activated it and led to the creation of the Rift, Bill melted the Nathaniel Northwest's statue, gave life to the Water tower and the Lumberjack statue among other objects and rearranged the molecules and physics of the town's elements and people with the wave of madness, infested the place with the Eye Bats and Bubbles of Pure Madness and other creatures that caused enough damage on their own, had a fight with Shack-tron, turned the townsfolk into a throne or just decorative banners as well as having not only the town so traumatized they declared that the apocalypsis never happened but also had his image all around it before they got rid of it.

Both when destroying stuff both have methods of destructions they regularly use like fire or dynamite. Like how Bill did it with his home dimension, the bar where he got drunk, the journals or the zodiac whereas Gideon blew up the Mystery Shack as plan B in case Bill failed and the memorial statue of Gravity Falls Mayor with dynamite. And as previously mentioned, photos of the Pines Family.

Both are immature for their age-Gideon is a spoiled and corrupt 10 year old with no discipline that throws tantrums when things dont go his way and the destruction of Euclydia and the death of his parents did leave Bill's growth stunted in the age he did it, still a kid, which with the added bullying and mistreatment from his peers and parents he went through and bad companies like the Henchmaniacs who only follow Bill if he's usefull to them and can have fun with him via parties and out of fear, it turned him into a goofball sociopath-detached from reality, putting his wants and needs above others, refusing to admit he messed up and with a predisposition for violence but retaining some childish behaviors like always wanting to have fun and fascination for the weird.

Both view themselves as kings or supreme rulers of certain places like Gravity Falls (although Bill aims higher) and see Mabel and Ford as their equals/other half/companionship.

Both use photos or personal belongings of the Pines for their personal use- Gideon uses Ford's Journal 2, Wendy's moisturizer, Mabel´s pictures for the wall in his room, the Shrink Ray Dipper created, Stan's spot/chair in the pool, the Shack's signature, the Mystery Shack itself, Waddles and Bill uses not only Ford and Dipper's body (and most likey used his money/credit card to get the Flirty Gal tattoo too) but both the Stan Twin's minds as well as Mabel's for his own use, The Rift and parts of Journal 3 as well as Ford's private notes, personal information like Dipper's search history, him singing Disco Girl in his web page or their dreams, photos of the Pines family for his book or the trailer for it where he burns it just so Ford is the only one untouched by the flames and Stan's secrets for his web page.

Both used the journals or part of them for nefarious deeds-Bill for the portal, to leave messages and codes for Ford to mess with him, pranking Dipper with the author's identity in dreams and later destroying Journal 3 to stop Dipper as well as destroying them all on his face so he wouldn't be a threat and Gideon to torment the Pines family throughout Season 1 and to posses his dad in Season 2.

Both do the pressing finger on cheek to appear innocent. They are not.

They have a significative important neckwear that is a defining trait for them (Gideon's amulet/white tie and Bill's bowtie)

Both revealed secrets/personal information to the Pines Twin they are interested in-Gideon, his feelings of being a king and Bill what happened to Euclydia.

They both took advantage of or created situations where one of the Mystery Twins were alone to enact their nefarious evil plans; Gideon with Dipper in the factory, Bill in Sock Opera, Mabel in Dipper and Mabel vs the future and Weirdmageddon Part 1.

Both are known for not playing fair; Bill cheats in chess and scams people with his deals and Gideon uses his amulet as he pleases and lies to the entire town and he used violence to get through the mirror labyrithm in the Shack and cheated in the town's election.

They have spoken in reverse (Gideon when summoning Bill and possessing Bud while Bill summoning Axolot)

Their original appearence wasn't how they look now but changed due to important events on their life-Gideon's hair whitened due to the overuse of the amulet and Bill's appearence didn't include his iconic hat and bowtie until after the destruction of Euclydia and the death of his mom and dad, Scalene and Euclid.

Although their relationships are complicated and twisted and abusive on one side they both seem more attached to one parent only, in Bill's case, Scalene, even if she and her husband Euclid medically abused Bill as a kid and in Gideon's case, his dad, Bud, even if he orders him around and intimidates him.

They can be seen sporting different hats/headwear (Gideon with the blue cowboy hat when riding the horse to go on his date with Mabel, the wig in Pioneer day, the green visor in Dreamscaperers, the hairnet in Stanchurian Candidate, the cowboy hat in Weirdmageddon Part 1, the little hat one that comes with his sailor uniform in Part 3 and his red helmet while Bill in his book changes hats in different parts like in the section where he talks about love, or dreams, the Middle Ages section, the jester hats and he used to wear a multicolor hat when posing with his parents as a kid, not to mention the altered version of the intro in Weirdmageddon where Bill dresses as the Mystery Shack Gang, where he's seen wearing all their hats)

Both still have as a prized possesion pages of documents like newspapers pages or the journal 3 pages that belong to a time where they had a good relationship with a member of the Pines Family- Gideon a page from the newspaper talking about his relationship with Mabel and Bill still has the pages where Ford talks about him before the betrayal and the karaoke night among the new color he showed him.

Both dislike the way things run so they want power to change it to their liking-Gideon wants Stan and the Mystery Shack out of the picture so he tries to get the Shack's signature to get the journal and gain absolute power and later tries to use Bud to get him out of jail so he can rule the town as he pleases whereas Bill dislikes order and how society among things like time moving foward, cause preceeding effect and how the laws of physics work and restriccions and laws-in his scrapped song, ''It's Gonna Get Weird'' he says he wants to save humans from the delusions society gave them-hence he wants to cause Weirdmageddon to establish a new world order and multidimensional rule that's a party with him as an eternal host.

They have twisted versions to what they see as love, thinking it means possesion of the person they hold dear and are not above using fear and abusive tactics to get them to fall in line and depend on them, which involves hurting them or their loved ones like how Gideon wanted to kill Dipper, almost kills Mabel when she refused to join him and how Bill isolated Ford and ruined his friendship with McGucket, gaslighted and guiltripped Ford, damaged his reputation by possessing his body to commit crimes or just disturb the peace during Puppet hour and his body by eating spiders, ruining his knuckles and put a nail in his hands, leaving him on the edge of hypothermia in a dangerous place above the Shack's roof and made him feel intense pain by controlling his neurons and later on by restraining him with tight chains, electrocuting him, force choking him and attempting to harm and kill his niece and nephew and plotting to end them with sharp knives. Not to mention they think spionage/stalking on loved ones is a good thing with Bill straight up exclaming "Ahh, love" in the section where he's talking about one of Stan's ex wives that spies on him via secret cameras and Gideon did stalk Mabel and managed to get so many pictures of her in such short time for his door plus he knows where she lives and how to get there quite easily.

Both failed to recognize Stanley and Stanford weren't the same person until it was too late-Gideon isn't a true psychic otherwise he'd known Stan's true name and only found out about the author when Weirdmageddon took place, he was freed from jail and became a Henchmaniac (most likely with Bill introducing Gideon to Ford as golden statue and when he revealed how his throne plan worked during the first 3 days it lasted their friendship or during his captivity doing cute dances and adding the final pieces to the throne like Shandra and her camera man) and Bill fully trusted "Ford" despite him being the creator of the "Trust No One" motto and failed to notice the outfit swap these two did until it was too late and died because of it.

Both are in need of someone bailing them out of jail-where they have revenge fantasies of what they'll do to the Pines once they're out-after their defeats-Bill with the reader and Gideon with Bud at first then later on with Bill.

While in jail, they also reject every chance they have and refuse to change for the better, being smug about it.

Both are quick to point out bad things the Mystery twins did when confronting them

Both see people as inferior to them in stuff like intelligence which caused their defeat (The townsfolk of Gravity Falls and Stanley Pines)

Both have shirts with their face on it

They are the most handsy when it comes to the Pines they're interested on-Gideon pets Mabel's hair, hugs her, holds hands with her, picks her up when shrinked and Bill leans on Ford at least twice, ruffles his hair, flicks his nose, shakes hands when showing him the portal 3D prints, he turns him around with his hand when presenting him to the Henchmaniacs instead of using his magic for it, moves his cuffs, holds onto him, carries him around and refuses to let go of him when he turns into a gold statue almost like a stuffed toy he's really fond of.

Both tried to modify Mabel's and Ford's appearence to their liking but failed-Mabel via the dress he made for her in jail and Ford via tattoos like IF LOST RETURN TO BILL (although maybe he still has the Flirty Gal tattoo assuming he hasn't removed it yet)

Both could be, in a way, dark reflections of Dipper Pines-Gideon is an evil version of him, using the journal for evil and self centered whereas Bill prides himself for his smarts not unlike Dipper, dont use their real names, the times they've tried to show themselves to others only ended in tragedy and all of them three are not only outcasts in their respective homes but also are interested in someone who doesn't correspond to them as well as having a significant age gap and are not above using questionable methods with negative consequences to spend time with them or earn their affection. Not to mention, all of them write in similar fonts as seen in Gideon's jail letters, Dipper's entries in Journal 3 and Bill in certain sections of Journal 3 and in certain pages seen in the thisisnotawebsitedotcom.com after you add certain codes like Stan, Dipper or click in objects like the water filled jar containing one eye where Bill laments his 47th attempt with the portal.

Both have fans they dont truly respect (Gideon comments on that in his date with Mabel while Bill does make one or two comments about it when talking about love and how to use it to your advantage or throws jabs at the reader in his book)

Both have a criminal record (Gideon's being lighter and not as large as Bill's but still)

They have had McGucket help them in different ways (like how he helped Gideon with his date with Mabel or how he was essential to isolate Ford) and build something for them (the Portal-although McGucket wasn't aware that it was for Bill-and the Gideon-Bot)

The "Big problems start out widdle" code in Stanchurian Candidate can be applied to both of them.

Even after a setback in their plans-Gideon-Bot destroyed and the Pines enter Mabel´s bubble-they're still confident in their victory and the Pines's defeat, without taking Stanley into account.

Both begged for mercy in their defeats but failed, both being covered in the shadows of people they've wronged.

Both of them have pets-Bill sees Ford and Teeth as such and Gideon has his hamster, Cheekums.

Both of them get turned into objects nearing the end of Weirdmageddon in Bill's castle; Bill, upon shaking "Ford" 's hand and entering the mindscape, turns into a statue that later gets its bottom half destroyed upon colliding with the ground/hidden in the ground below his castle and Gideon a decorative banner that also gets destroyed which makes him fall onto the ground/floor of the castle.

Both seem to like the stars; Gideon has the symbol of the Tent of Telepathy be a five pointed colorfull star which also wears proudly in the form of a cape, his second date with Mabel was a trip on boat under the starry night sky after the dance and in his dressing room you can see a black ceiling with stars on it whereas Bill wanted to show them to his entire dimension cause he thought they were cool and we have the "I saw the stars and I was ready to be one" comment on his book

Then there's the fact both wore a bit of the color of eachother's pallet at one point: Bill's shoes were blue and white while Gideon's cowboy outfit does have some yellow.

Could this all be a coincidence or intentional? Im not sure anymore, guys

Both are snappy dressers with charm they use to trick people (Both of them even do the same trick of being cute to appeal to their respective audiences; Gideon with the cute look in the Tent of Telephaty and Bill with a picture of him as a baby in the Book of Bill)

Both lie about being beloved by everyone in their hometown (Gideon's manipulation had everyone in Gravity Falls fooled,his parents were scared of him and the Mystery Shack's workers alongside the Pines Family dislike him as a whole and Bill was bullied by his peers by singing rhymes like "Cipher! Cipher! He's insane! He starts fires with his brain!" and no one truly understood him when talking about the 3rd dimension or that there was an "up" )

Their modus operandi is to manipulate people, usually convincing their victims that they have more power than they actually do or with video materials (Bill by being a divine muse but he´s extremly limitated by his deal´s system and the attempt to hypnotize the visitors of the thisisnotawebsitecom.com with whats shown in "One Eyed King" code and Gideon being a mind reader when in reality he's powerless without his amulet and with the commercial shown in Dreamscapper where he sings about being the viewer's friend)

Both have mind reading habilities, as well as pyrokenisis and psychokinesis. (Bill's powers being a natural hability while Gideon's were thanks to an evil amulet)

Both gained power at a very young age which started their rise to villany very soon (Gideon finding the journal 2 near the school and getting the amulet which corrupted his mind and whitened his hair and Bill could start fires back when he was in school and eventually his powers led to accidently destroying the entirety of Euclydia alongside his parents)

Both force-choked someone of the Pines family (Dipper in Gideon's debut and Ford & Stan in Weirdmageddon Part 3)

What both truly crave is adoration and attention (Gideon's feelings for Mabel were genuine even if he went about them the wrong way whereas Bill wanted someone to finally get him after a lifetime of being treated like a freak, he wanted Euclydia to see the stars just like he did and he got that or the closest thing to that with Ford )

Both have villain songs which surprisingly involve pianos(Gideon's 'Wittle ol' me' or the Commercial song seen in DreamScappers and when he's controlling Bud in the Stanchurian Candidate and 'We'll meet again' in Bill's case as well as the scrapped song 'Its Gonna Get Weird')

Both use make up (Gideon has his own dressing room and liked to play makeiver buddies with Mabel and he steals Wendy's cream to keep his skin baby soft whereas Bill uses mascara and eyeliner for his eye)

Both had some type of throne with something they play with(Gideon's chair in his family's factory with a Gideon doll and the throne of human agony during Weirdmageddon with Ford's golden statue)

Both harmed the brother of a Pines Twin at one point just to be a nuisance (Stan by blinding him with the flash of his glasses and Dipper by blasting him through the stomach when they first met in Dreamscappers)

Both have terrorized the people close to them (Gideon's parents and Bill all of Euclydia)

Both have been shown the to have the access or the capacity or hability to control zombies (Bill can posses Zombies as seen in the Book of Bill while Gideon has the Journal 2 and one of its pages talks about summoning an army of them)

Both are shown to be threaths not to be taken lightly.

Both looked for a journal, but with different motives but all linked to a goal related with power (Bill wanted the journal 3 destroyed so Dipper wouldn't interfere with his future plans aka Weirdmageddon while Gideon seeked the journal 1 to obtain maximun power)

Both wanted something inside the Shack (Bill the Rift and Gideon the Journal 1)

Both have a lawyer.

Both seem to care greatly about their appearence (Gideon constantly remarks his hair and keeps it shiny, gets disturbed when it gets messy, doesn't like when it's getting touched by others or when he cant take care of it as seen in Little Dipper and The Stanchurian Candidate and has a helmet over it in the finale while Bill cares about his bowtie with him screaming when Dipper blasts it and he's seen readjusting it a few times during Weirdmageddon like in Part 2 and 3)

Both refer to themselves as little guys in a way (Bill thinks of himself as a silly guy and even writes it in the ID booking he holds in his mugshot while Gideon tells one of his dolls he's a cute lil guy just to be replied "no, you are")

Both have merchandise of themselves which eventually failed like the Bill Cipher figurines and the Gideon dolls alongside the Gideon pins (Bill's tries to sell them went bad while the Gideon pins and Gideon dolls were no longer sold after the events of Gideon Rises being the few times we see them when Stan uses one for the crowd to boo at in ScaryOke and Bud burning them to be warm in Weirdmageddon Part 3 now only serving as warmth fuel)

Both aint too fond of Dipper and Stan, recognizing them as the brother of Mabel and Ford and even lesser versions of them at first but grow to hate them later on when ruining their plans for power or related to their twin.

Both are referred to as a either a monster or demon by Stanley/at least a Pines member or someone in a Gravity Falls (When Gideon was a baby, Robbie graffitied the word "demon" on his billboard and he gets called a monster by both Stanley and Dipper in ep 4 while Bill gets called an "isosceles monster" by Mabel, Ford describes him with "Monster" in the Journal 3 page where he warns us not to summon nor trust him and "My muse was a monster" and Stanley adresses him as a "all powerfull space demon" and "One Eyed Demon")

Both dont truly think that highly of Dipper at first until he does something that shocks or impresses them and use condescending names for him (Gideon refers him as "boy" while Bill tends to call him "kid" but the nickname he constantly refers to Dipper with in all his appearences is "Pine Tree", referencing his sign in the zodiac which he doesn't do with other Pines Members like Mabel, Stan or Ford-at least not all the time, being Ford the one he refers to by name the most)

Both tried to kill Dipper and actually did it in different timelines as revealed in the Book of Bill, with Gideon either stabbing him with his scissors or pushing him off the cliff and Bill's plan with jumping off of the Water tower in Dipper's body so he'd get stuck in the mindscape forever and the timelines where Dipper and Mabel get turned to stone in Weirdmageddon.

Both push/toss Dipper back before he can do anything to stop them, damaging him in the process (Gideon tosses Dipper behind him when he's controlling the Gideon Bot which causes him to get hit with a rock and bleed from his nose a little and Bill pushes Dipper with his power before he can actually punch him and ends up rolling in the ground and colliding with a tree that does wound him up a bit and leaves bruises onto him)

Both do see Mabel in a better light than they do other members of her family but for different reasons and to different extent (Gideon has a crush on her and considers her a sweet peach, his queen while Bill just likes her for her chaotic nature since it reminds him of himself-once again projecting onto others-but still sees her as a pawn and he's far more interested in her grunkle Ford)

Both add a "I was here" in certain places (Bill in Journal 3 and Gideon in the cell Stan was while getting interrogated by Agent Powers)

Both tried to have someone help them with their plans at first but when it failed they ended up taking matters into their own hands (Bill attempted to get Pacifica to bring him the Rift after the events of The mystery of the Northwest mansion but when that didn't work, he contacted Blendin and possessed him so Mabel could hand him the Rift and destroy it whereas Gideon wanted Bud to drive him to the Mystery Shack so he could shrink Stan but had to go there himself and attempt to attack Stan all alone)

Both got defeated via tickles once, in their second appearence in the show (Little Dipper and Sock Opera)

Both sent their henchmen after Dipper to avoid him from being a nuisance on their plans later on during Weirdmageddon (Bill sents Teeth and 8 Ball after him so they can eat him as a snack while Gideon sents his prison buddies after Wendy and Dipper so they dont get into Mabel's bubble after stealing the key from him)

Both promise positions of power alongside them to certain Pines Twin if they submit to them, betraying their homes and family(Mabel gets the chance to rule the town as Gideon's queen while Ford gets the chance to be a literal god by submitting to Bill) but fail to get them to agree, saying they'd rather die than join their side.

Both have a fit of rage and almost harm the people that work for/alongside them (Gideon gets enraged when his dad tickles him and throws what remains of his ice cream at the wall, staining it and nearly hitting his mother and Bill gets mad that his weirdness cant cross the borders of Gravity Falls and takes it out on the Henchmaniacs by invoking a storm that nearly hits them, destroying a bit of the Fearmid´s insides)

Both are in the need for a code that will grant them what want in the season finale that they can only obtain from a Stan Twin by going inside their mind (The combination to Stan's safe and the equation)

Both tormented a Stan twins when they were in restrains (in Pioneer Day, by throwing tomatoes at Stanley when he was in the stock and by electrocuting Ford to give him the equation for several hours before the rescue)

Both were caged and forced to dance for someone's entertainment (Bill in one of his portal attempts ends up getting tricked and has to dance for a king while Gideon was forced to do cute dances for all of eternity as punishment for betraying Bill and the Henchmaniacs)

Both have damaged/destroyed the Mystery Shack at one point (Gideon with dynamite and Bill by fighting Shacktron, attacking the limbs)

Both planned to use the Twins as a bargaining chip to get something they wanted from a Stan Twins (the Mystery Shack & the equation to collapse the barrier)

Both shed light onto the smarter twin with evil intentions behind it

Both get injured by the Mystery Twins after getting too close to them

Both chased the Mystery Twins in a season finale in a new form and held them in thir hands after the chase (Gideon Bot and Demon Bill)

Both tried to talk their way out of sentences but it failed (Axolot isnt stupid and tricked Bill while Gideon couldn´t avoid going to jail as Manly Dan was in his trial to testify against him)

Both went to prison where they do art therapy and still swear revenge on the Pines (they even wear the same orange jumpsuit).

Both get trapped in jail or a cage as consequences of doing a deal with another entity more powerfull than them that can get them what they want (Bill traps Gideon in a cage after him not fullfilling his end of the deal they made back in the Stanchurian candidate where he was promised Mabel's love and/or revenge on the Pines Family by letting them into Mabel's bubble while Bill gets sent by the Axolot to the Theraprism after striking a deal with him in order not to die after getting erased with the memory gun)

Both follow a pattern of getting defeated by Dipper and Mabel twice, annoy a Stan Twin in episode 15 of their respective seasons (Gideon with the perfect spot in the pool in Deep Dive while Bill annoys Ford in his dreams in The Last Mabelcorn) and getting defeated for good in a season finale.

In both seasons finale, they take over a place and its up to the Mystery Twins to take back what they stole and stop them, getting close to their goal but its Stanley who ends up stopping them for good, returning what they stole and saving the day; becoming a hero for Gravity Falls on two different occasions (by revealing the truth about Gideon and punching Bill in the face)

Both hate Stanley's guts for messing with their plans to obtain ultimate power.

Both have photos/pictures of someone with a part of or their entire face scratched with red paint (Stanley's eyes crossed out in a photo Gideon uses to summon Bill while The Oracle's face is all covered in red in Bill's book)

Both try to make Stanley look bad in several ways (Gideon with the commercials where Stan is featured as a fraud or a demon to the people of Gravity Falls and with the wood dolls where he imitates Stan making him say "Look at me. I'm old, and I'm smelly" and Bill with the Wheel of Shame, sharing shamefull stuff and secrets of his past in hopes to ridicule him so the visitors of his page think less of him and just blantantly insulting Stanley, not only on the website, but also on his book by calling him a lesser version of Ford among other stuff like Bootleg Sixer or PTSD Barnum, stupid, lame, side character, hack, etc.)

They made stuff for the Pines in jail (Gideon made a dress for and wrote letters to Mabel in shorts while Bill created his book to send it to Ford)

Whatever stuff they give to the Pines its rejected, thrown away or destroyed (Ford constantly gets the book of Bill back but tries to get rid of it in several ways while Mabel throws his love letters into the Bottoless Pit and rejected the dress he made for her in prison)

Both burn a photo with members of the Pines Family, leaving only one of them intact.

Concept Art and Rambles of The Multiverse in a Blender

Alright, so I've been working on the fic a bit (on the fourth chapter) and I realized that posting it on Tumbler is incredibly impractical...it just is. In order to do so, I need to copy and paste it over and over and over again, seeing as how these things have very limited amount of word-room-stuff. Anyway, long story short, the first few chapters are on Wattpad and will, eventually, be posted on Archive of our own and fanfic.com (assuming that it stays alive long enough to at least hear a conclusion).

Feedback on the story thus far is much appreciated, as whomever comments on here and wattpad are essentially my beta readers. Also, I want to dump a bunch of concept-stuff, because why not.

I've been thinking of pairings for a while, and I really want some feedback on them.

•Rex x Ben: when do they get together? No idea. Throughout the relationship, Ben would be fairly reclusive in public, not wanting the media to get ahold of their relationship as it had his and Julie's relationship. Also, Rex has been Ben's shoulder to cry on/vent to for a while in the series, and Rex isn't nearly as polite as Ben is. Because of this, I imagine the first interaction between Rex and Ben's friends to be...um...vivid. Honestly, that part will be fun to write/read.

•Blosom x Mabel: Bi Mabel? Yes please. Blossom is more refined and attentive, Mabel is spontaneous and creative. The former is amazing at leadership and innovation, the latter is very supportive and socialable.

•Connie x Steven: No comment needed, it's all wholesome and understanding over here. This relationship is present since before the beginning, but Connie will mostly be at college.

•Danny x Tucker x Sam: Poly? Friend-ship? Danny's dealing with the trauma of his parents trying (and succeeding) in dissecting him, and his buds are there to help him heal. At some point, though, Sam kicks him out of her house (he'd been there unbeknownst to the parents) and makes him do stuff again. "You won't feel better until you stop moping!" Coincidentally, this would happen around the beginning of the story?

•One-sided Dexter x Ben: Dexter is crushing on Ben, Ben is too old for him. Ben is flattered, but doesn't address the clear admiration because he doesn't want to crush his friend.

Redesigns:

The Ben in this is subtly one of my AUs, specifically Soma. I mention it in the first chappy. He's a lot like the original (Prime), but likes to dimension-hop and also is a fair bit more mangled than Prime. To hide this, especially before anyone knew that he was a hero, he began using something a lot like Kevin's mask. The difference between what Kevin uses and what he uses is that Ben's is a piercing, and effects his other forms as well as his human one.

Some of his scars are in the above image. Also, I'm thinking of working this drawing of mine into the story.

Regarding the Power Puff Girls, I'm redesigning them a bit, especially when it comes to their skin color. Why would three lab experiments, each of which being significantly difference in appearance, each have peach skin? My redesign would have Bubbles looks as though she' from the Solomon Isnaldns (maybe, not sure yet), Blossom would be Indian, and Buttercup....I haven't thought much of her? Maybe I'll keep her white?

I had some fun with Steven. You know, if the area beneath his eyes glow first, and the most often, wouldn't the skin be discolored? Moving from that, I decided it would be fun if he could use something like henna to redirect the glow for a period of time, although the under-eye markings are permenant.

Mabel...she's older now, as is her brother. As are several of the characters, actually, but most of them already have designs for their older selves. Her brother...well...back to Mabel. I mentioned that she's bi, and she's also the kind of person to wear her heart on her sleeves, in this case it's quite literal. I gave her twin braids, too, instead of chopping her hair short. You can't see it in this image, but she's also wearing short shorts with fringe around the edges and stripped leggings beneath the shorts which are cut off just above the knees. She might also be wearing long/spunky socks, I don't know.

In addition, I decided to give her a bit of pudge. I normally draw the jaw line, npbir made hers fade out, to help show that, although she's young and very energetic, she might be abusing her candy stash just a wee bit too much.

A few things to note regarding the relationships of the characters:

•Dipper admires the other members of the...'league'? I don't have a name for it, yet. The group of people with whom he works...the protagonists. The heros. The whatever. However, he feels inadequate by comparison per his being a fairly normal human, with no abnormal strengths or abilities. Because of this, he's bit reclusive and quiet around the others.

•Rex has grudges against a lot of Ben's friend, and he is not afraid to show it. He has a precarious relationship with Rook, a downright tension between himself and Kai (as well as Julie, but they get over that), and he isn't on very friendly terms with Gwen or Kevin, either. He's also a bit testy with Max, but not nearly as much as he is with the other characters. Because if how he behaves, Ben's mom adores him, but Zak (Saturday) has an uneasy truce with him. Zak thinks that Rex is too brash and aggressive, asking him a bad influence on his friend, and he is none too keen on Ben and Rex's relationship. When I think of Zak and Rex, Hamilton's "Congradulations" song comes to mind.

•Argit is an...interesting case. The other protagonists know full well of what he did, seeing as he caused Ben's original reality to be erased and thus prompting their own realities to be upturned. Rex wants to punch him right in the snot locker, but Ben argues that the Argit who had done the deed in the first place was erased along with everything else. Blossom believes the copy of Argit that exists would do it again in a heartbeat, and that the memory of Argit is not one which should be honored. Steven supports Ben's decision, but isn't comfortable with it, and I think Mabel would just go above all of their heads to slap Argit across the face or something for what he did.

•[I forgot to add this bit] Ben and Blossom are good friends, having know each other before the whole rewrite. His nickname for her is 'soul sister', and hers for him is normally 'sweatheart'.

dipper just smirked at the woman's joke, lazily shifting his shoulders up into a shrug before they sank right back down. his lids fell closed and the mattress was practically magnetic, drawing him deeper into it as exhaustion clung to his muscles. ❛ both, probably, ❜ dipper answered honestly, his body practically deadweight as he rolled his head to the side, opening his eyes just enough to see her face. pacifica's theatrics just made his smirk deepen, turning more so into an impish grin, laughter bubbling from his chest. ❛ i'm just saying, paz !! you gotta be careful, ❜ the man played along, humor in his words, the arm wrapped around her tightening its hold as his heart picked up speed. maybe it was crazy to think that she might like him — putting the fact they were hooking up aside — because it almost felt too good to be true. the pair had been through a lot since they were kids, each of their respective childhoods filled with experiences no twelve year olds should ever have to handle... yet, here they were, through it all, going from enemies to somewhat friends and to... whatever this was.

then, as if she was reading the serious turn his mind had taken, pacifica's voice gently broke the silence that had fallen between them. the hand wrapped around her began to lazily draw patters on her skin, almost as if to map out how to respond. the question was delicate, and dipper's tongue shifted uncomfortably in his mouth, trying to figure out how to reply without becoming a bull in a god damn china shop like he always seemed to. ❛ i don't know, ❜ dipper answered, a more genuine lull to his words as he brushed his nose against her shoulder, trying to sort through his thoughts. he knew he liked pacifica, in a way he had never liked another person before, but he had never considered what would happen if she felt the same. dipper realized he liked pacifica when he could feel her in a room before he saw her. when he put off washing the clothes that had even the faintest notes of her scent on them just so he could hold onto it a little bit longer. how he had grown thankful that she didn't mind him staring because he could look at her for hours without even knowing time had gone by. dipper pines knew he was infatuated — maddeningly, unforgivably, terrifyingly infatuated. the concept of her feeling the same was almost too much for him to process. ❛ i'd probably feel relieved, ❜ dipper said after a moment, taking in a deep breath of air as if he'd never feel it in his lungs again. there was no going back now. ❛ — because i happen to like you a little bit.❜

"Don't get used to it." Pacifica quipped, leaning into him when he pulled her closer, body quickly fading into a full blown exhaustion after that, doubled by the amount of comfort she felt in this moment. "Which one?" The blonde inquired, smirking at her own little innuendo, even though it wasn't subtle. Not in the least. And she wouldn't have any problem with one of them getting bigger within reason. As fo his actual head? No one need Dipper's ego inflating when it came to sexual prowess. "I don't think your head would survive getting any bigger." She teased, before scoffing at that insinuation. "How dare you. Me? Like you?" The woman repeated as though it was the most outlandish thing he could have said; now or ever. But maybe it wasn't such a wild conclusion for him to come to considering ... everything. It wasn't like she had tried to keep him from getting there. And maybe, just maybe, there were some feelings sprouting. Actually, sprouting wasn't even the right word because they'd been there. Even if she had wanted to avoid seeing them, they were. It was undeniable.

Sighing contentedly, Pacifica tilted her head back against the pillow as his lips pressed against her shoulder, basking in the feeling of being held with the sun streaming onto her skin from the window. "And what if I did?" Her words were soft, tentative as though testing the water. Ready to run back to shore if he didn't seem to feel the same way. Pacifica Northwest did not do feelings well and whatever was swirling inside of her was something she'd always pushed down and hidden her entire life. Once you admitted them, they could be used against you and Paz was nothing if not proficient at putting up her walls. Almost immediately, she wanted to take them back, scared already that he would reject her and throw her to the side; like her parents had. But it was too late, she might as well double down. "What would you do if I liked you a little bit?"

dipper was practically housing his drink, battling between getting past the peppermint stinging his nostrils, the strength of whatever liquor had been used in it, and hoping that maybe if he drank it fast enough; it'd give him a reason to be as flushed as he was. why was it so god damn hard to look away from her ?? when did having to refrain from touching her begin to feel like pulling teeth, the pads of his fingers almost twitching each second they were more than a breaths-width away from her. drawing his cup away, the beverage half empty, dipper noticed she had turned back towards him and was smiling. swiping the back of his hand across his mouth, he laughed — painfully awkwardly— and tried his best to recover from doing something he wasn't even sure she knew he had been doing. who was he kidding, it was pacifica, of course she knew. ❛ — whoville ?? ❜ he repeated, a smile of his own landing upon his lips as he looked further down the path— as if he could see the entire display from here. he wouldn't say it out loud but he thought it was so adorable how much pacifica seemed to be enjoying the lights, and even though he didn't fully understand the appeal, he was enjoying them because she was.

❛ don't tell cypher we're going to look at those lights without him, he loves the grinch... ❜ dipper teased, starting to walk down the path once more, his eyes once again falling upon pacifica northwest's face and finding himself enamored with it. he laughed though, a bit harder this time, once the gnomes were brought up again; ❛ i thought we weren't talking about the gnomes anymore, ❜ dipper teased her, his bicep brushing against her shoulder as he walked practically against her — like there was some kind of magnetic pull keeping him from moving more than a few centimeters away. he lowered his voice to a whisper, his gaze flickering around, as if the hypothetical gnomes would hear him, leaning down towards her. ❛ — if the gnomes do take over, we're gonna have to take action, pacifica... protect ourselves and the town.❜ he straightened up a bit, grinning at her. ❛ should be a piece of cake for us, though.... gnomes don't hold a candle to a big ghost lumberjack with an axe in his head... and we took care of that guy, didn't we ?? ❜

She didn't mean to let it bother her but when he immediately brought up asking Mabel to join them, Pacifica couldn't help but feel like that meant he didn't want to just hang out together. Which was insane, she knew that was crazy because that was exactly what was happening right now and she liked hanging out with Mabel even though she sometimes doubted whether or not that feeling was mutual, but in her head the ghost-hunting crew was just the two of them. Maybe he didn't remember it that way. Pacifica wasn't sure what it was about the lights that she liked so much, maybe it reminded her of all the houses in Christmas movies that had lights hanging from the eaves and windows, through which you saw a happy family opening presents together. Something she never had. Her parents would never have hung lights up on the Northwest Mansion, they were far to gaudy and pedestrian. They reminded her parents of the peasants far too much. But now? Lights were all she wanted.

She didn't have to turn and look at Dipper to know he was staring at her. It was quickly becoming a sixth sense...or maybe, the odds were in her favor and if she just assumed his eyes were on her, the probably were. She wasn't sure which she preferred. Finally, turning her head to look at him, it seemed like he'd just turned away and she couldn't help but smile as he took another sip of his drink ( which she was pretty sure he didn't like at all ). It took her a second to convince herself to move, not wanting to walk away from the magic and the metaphor of what those lights meant to her but there was more to see, more to explore. "Come on, this is only the first one. I'm pretty sure they did the whole Whoville thing from the Grinch. We've got a lot to see." And Paz was determined to see them all. "I wouldn't be surprised if those gnomes took over the town square or the mayor's place..."

More stuff I noticed these two have in common:

Both appear near the end or in the end of the intro-Gideon in one photo whereas Bill's full image with the zodiac appears in his journal page.

Both had cameos before their debut without counting the intro(Bill throughout S1 while Gideon in S1ep2)

Both like making an entrance whenever possible, either to introduce themselves or annoy certain people- Appearing out of nowhere or using their shadows, sometimes with a song, coming out of the dark, breaking through something like paper, among others.

Both have similar ways of talking although Bill's is more relaxed and informal.

Both seem to enjoy pain, especially if it comes from members of the Pines family, especially if it's Dipper. And either they cause it themselves or just order someone of their criminal gang to harm someone who antagonizes them like how Bill orders 8 Bal and Teeth to eat Dipper and how Gideon sends two of his gang members to harm a kid who insulted him.

When meeting the rest of the Pines Family-Dipper and Mabel- they alredy have a member they adore and another they like and another one they dont like and hate-Ford and Mabel being the objects of affection (Although they didn't show us Ford and Gideon interacting, I imagine Gideon has utmost respect for him as he's the author of the journals but Ford would go "I just wanna talk to him" (with his gun) mode as soon as he learns everything he did to his family) and Dipper and Stanley are the loathed ones for being rivals and getting in the way of their plans and protecting their family from them.

Both don't think too much of the companionship that Ford and Mabel keep at first, but start disliking once they get involved with their plans and attempted to get rid of them (Bill's plan at least worked but McGucket regained his memory later on and helped wherever he could in Weirdmageddon and it was thanks to his inventions-Shack-Tron and The Memory Gun-that the town was saved)

Although their defeats were at the hands of the Pines Family, McGucket played a part in their defeats cause without the Gideon Bot, Stan couldn't have showed them the truth behind Gideon and it was thanks to the Shack tron that they could get to Bill and hold him off while they rescued Ford and gave them enough time to come up with a plan like the zodiac and when that failed they got to use the Memory Gun which erased Bill.

Both were friends, allies with or at least knew weird, magical or anormal individuals and/or creatures- Both the Henchmaniacs, Toby Determinated or members of the Pines family like Ford and Mabel since they are weirdos; Bill with a wizard that later tricked him, the black hole he denies dating and he is fan or he is fond of certain dangerous creatures like Land Orca, Eye Stealer, David Lynch, Guillermo del Torso, Bloody Mary among others and Gideon with McGucket in Season 1, creatures shown in Journal 2 and finally Bill himself.

Their image is plastered across the town-Gideon via billboards, publicity such as TV commercials or the newspaper or his merchandise Bill via drawings of him and the Mystery Shack´s furniture and during Weirdmageddon.

Speaking of, both have billboards!

Both dont truly respect authority figures like they should due to their power over them-Gideon had the police fooled with his cute act and his parents are terrified of him so he can get away with treating them like he wants, Bill doesn't care for the Time authorities and dislikes the Time Baby, when he was captured for the goverment he didn't take them seriously and was continuosly throwing jabs at them like doing "your mom" jokes, defied Gravity Fall's police during Puppet Hour going so far as to whack an officer in the stomach, and he couldn't care less for Mayor Tyler's authority of the town.

Both damaged parts of the town with their plans- The Mystey Shack, the train tracks where they had the fight with the Gideon Bot and a part of the forest with the explosion caused by the robot's fall and the statue for the mayor Befufftlefumpter during the Gravity Falls elections with dynamite and Bill was responsible for the creation of the Bottomless Pit, raised the dead, the creation of the portal which ended affecting the town's gravity when Stan re-activated it and led to the creation of the Rift, Bill melted the Nathaniel Northwest's statue, gave life to the Water tower and the Lumberjack statue among other objects and rearranged the molecules and physics of the town's elements and people with the wave of madness, infested the place with the Eye Bats and Bubbles of Pure Madness and other creatures that caused enough damage on their own, had a fight with Shack-tron, turned the townsfolk into a throne or just decorative banners as well as having not only the town so traumatized they declared that the apocalypsis never happened but also had his image all around it before they got rid of it.

Both when destroying stuff both have methods of destructions they regularly use like fire or dynamite. Like how Bill did it with his home dimension, the bar where he got drunk, the journals or the zodiac whereas Gideon blew up the Mystery Shack as plan B in case Bill failed and the memorial statue of Gravity Falls Mayor with dynamite. And as previously mentioned, photos of the Pines Family.

Both are immature for their age-Gideon is a spoiled and corrupt 10 year old with no discipline that throws tantrums when things dont go his way and the destruction of Euclydia and the death of his parents did leave Bill's growth stunted in the age he did it, still a kid, which with the added bullying and mistreatment from his peers and parents he went through and bad companies like the Henchmaniacs who only follow Bill if he's usefull to them and can have fun with him via parties and out of fear, it turned him into a goofball sociopath-detached from reality, putting his wants and needs above others, refusing to admit he messed up and with a predisposition for violence but retaining some childish behaviors like always wanting to have fun and fascination for the weird.

Both view themselves as kings or supreme rulers of certain places like Gravity Falls (although Bill aims higher) and see Mabel and Ford as their equals/other half/companionship.

Both use photos or personal belongings of the Pines for their personal use- Gideon uses Ford's Journal 2, Wendy's moisturizer, Mabel´s pictures for the wall in his room, the Shrink Ray Dipper created, Stan's spot/chair in the pool, the Shack's signature, the Mystery Shack itself, Waddles and Bill uses not only Ford and Dipper's body (and most likey used his money/credit card to get the Flirty Gal tattoo too) but both the Stan Twin's minds as well as Mabel's for his own use, The Rift and parts of Journal 3 as well as Ford's private notes, personal information like Dipper's search history, him singing Disco Girl in his web page or their dreams, photos of the Pines family for his book or the trailer for it where he burns it just so Ford is the only one untouched by the flames and Stan's secrets for his web page.

Both used the journals or part of them for nefarious deeds-Bill for the portal, to leave messages and codes for Ford to mess with him, pranking Dipper with the author's identity in dreams and later destroying Journal 3 to stop Dipper as well as destroying them all on his face so he wouldn't be a threat and Gideon to torment the Pines family throughout Season 1 and to posses his dad in Season 2.

Both do the pressing finger on cheek to appear innocent. They are not.

They have a significative important neckwear that is a defining trait for them (Gideon's amulet/white tie and Bill's bowtie)

Both revealed secrets/personal information to the Pines Twin they are interested in-Gideon, his feelings of being a king and Bill what happened to Euclydia.

They both took advantage of or created situations where one of the Mystery Twins were alone to enact their nefarious evil plans; Gideon with Dipper in the factory, Bill in Sock Opera, Mabel in Dipper and Mabel vs the future and Weirdmageddon Part 1.

Both are known for not playing fair; Bill cheats in chess and scams people with his deals and Gideon uses his amulet as he pleases and lies to the entire town and he used violence to get through the mirror labyrithm in the Shack and cheated in the town's election.

They have spoken in reverse (Gideon when summoning Bill and possessing Bud while Bill summoning Axolot)

Their original appearence wasn't how they look now but changed due to important events on their life-Gideon's hair whitened due to the overuse of the amulet and Bill's appearence didn't include his iconic hat and bowtie until after the destruction of Euclydia and the death of his mom and dad, Scalene and Euclid.

Although their relationships are complicated and twisted and abusive on one side they both seem more attached to one parent only, in Bill's case, Scalene, even if she and her husband Euclid medically abused Bill as a kid and in Gideon's case, his dad, Bud, even if he orders him around and intimidates him.

They can be seen sporting different hats/headwear (Gideon with the blue cowboy hat when riding the horse to go on his date with Mabel, the wig in Pioneer day, the green visor in Dreamscaperers, the hairnet in Stanchurian Candidate, the cowboy hat in Weirdmageddon Part 1, the little hat one that comes with his sailor uniform in Part 3 and his red helmet while Bill in his book changes hats in different parts like in the section where he talks about love, or dreams, the Middle Ages section, the jester hats and he used to wear a multicolor hat when posing with his parents as a kid, not to mention the altered version of the intro in Weirdmageddon where Bill dresses as the Mystery Shack Gang, where he's seen wearing all their hats)

Both still have as a prized possesion pages of documents like newspapers pages or the journal 3 pages that belong to a time where they had a good relationship with a member of the Pines Family- Gideon a page from the newspaper talking about his relationship with Mabel and Bill still has the pages where Ford talks about him before the betrayal and the karaoke night among the new color he showed him.

Beach/Swimming Pool Outfits.

Both have/had a playset with members of the Pines Family (Wood figures in Gideon's case and personalized silver chess pieces in Bill's case)

Both tried to use animals to scare and potentially hurt one of the Stan Twins for them to give into their demands-A snake in Bills case and cursed termites in Gideon's case.

Both dislike the way things run so they want power to change it to their liking-Gideon wants Stan and the Mystery Shack out of the picture so he tries to get the Shack's signature to get the journal and gain absolute power and later tries to use Bud to get him out of jail so he can rule the town as he pleases whereas Bill dislikes order and how society among things like time moving foward, cause preceeding effect and how the laws of physics work and restriccions and laws-in his scrapped song, ''It's Gonna Get Weird'' he says he wants to save humans from the delusions society gave them-hence he wants to cause Weirdmageddon to establish a new world order and multidimensional rule that's a party with him as an eternal host.

They have twisted versions to what they see as love, thinking it means possesion of the person they hold dear and are not above using fear and abusive tactics to get them to fall in line and depend on them, which involves hurting them or their loved ones like how Gideon wanted to kill Dipper, almost kills Mabel when she refused to join him and how Bill isolated Ford and ruined his friendship with McGucket, gaslighted and guiltripped Ford, damaged his reputation by possessing his body to commit crimes or just disturb the peace during Puppet hour and his body by eating spiders, ruining his knuckles and put a nail in his hands, leaving him on the edge of hypothermia in a dangerous place above the Shack's roof and made him feel intense pain by controlling his neurons and later on by restraining him with tight chains, electrocuting him, force choking him and attempting to harm and kill his niece and nephew and plotting to end them with sharp knives. Not to mention they think spionage/stalking on loved ones is a good thing with Bill straight up exclaming "Ahh, love" in the section where he's talking about one of Stan's ex wives that spies on him via secret cameras and Gideon did stalk Mabel and managed to get so many pictures of her in such short time for his door plus he knows where she lives and how to get there quite easily.

Both failed to recognize Stanley and Stanford weren't the same person until it was too late-Gideon isn't a true psychic otherwise he'd known Stan's true name and only found out about the author when Weirdmageddon took place, he was freed from jail and became a Henchmaniac (most likely with Bill introducing Gideon to Ford as golden statue and when he revealed how his throne plan worked during the first 3 days it lasted their friendship or during his captivity doing cute dances and adding the final pieces to the throne like Shandra and her camera man) and Bill fully trusted "Ford" despite him being the creator of the "Trust No One" motto and failed to notice the outfit swap these two did until it was too late and died because of it.

Both are in need of someone bailing them out of jail-where they have revenge fantasies of what they'll do to the Pines once they're out-after their defeats-Bill with the reader and Gideon with Bud at first then later on with Bill.

While in jail, they also reject every chance they have and refuse to change for the better, being smug about it.

Both see people as inferior to them in stuff like intelligence which caused their defeat (The townsfolk of Gravity Falls and Stanley Pines)

They are the most handsy when it comes to the Pines they're interested on-Gideon pets Mabel's hair, hugs her, holds hands with her, picks her up when shrinked and Bill leans on Ford at least twice, ruffles his hair, flicks his nose, shakes hands when showing him the portal 3D prints, he turns him around with his hand when presenting him to the Henchmaniacs instead of using his magic for it, moves his cuffs, holds onto him, carries him around and refuses to let go of him when he turns into a gold statue almost like a stuffed toy he's really fond of.

Both tried to modify Mabel's and Ford's appearence to their liking but failed-Mabel via the dress he made for her in jail and Ford via tattoos like IF LOST RETURN TO BILL (although maybe he still has the Flirty Gal tattoo assuming he hasn't removed it yet)

Both could be, in a way, dark reflections of Dipper Pines-Gideon is an evil version of him, using the journal for evil and self centered whereas Bill prides himself for his smarts not unlike Dipper, dont use their real names, the times they've tried to show themselves to others only ended in tragedy and all of them three are not only outcasts in their respective homes but also are interested in someone who doesn't correspond to them as well as having a significant age gap and are not above using questionable methods with negative consequences to spend time with them or earn their affection. Not to mention, all of them write in similar fonts as seen in Gideon's jail letters, Dipper's entries in Journal 3 and Bill in certain sections of Journal 3 and in certain pages seen in the thisisnotawebsitedotcom.com after you add certain codes like Stan, Dipper or click in objects like the water filled jar containing one eye where Bill laments his 47th attempt with the portal.

Both have fans they dont truly respect (Gideon comments on that in his date with Mabel while Bill does make one or two comments about it when talking about love and how to use it to your advantage or throws jabs at the reader in his book)

Both have a criminal record (Gideon's being lighter and not as large as Bill's but still)

They have had McGucket help them in different ways (like how he helped Gideon with his date with Mabel or how he was essential to isolate Ford) and build something for them (the Portal-although McGucket wasn't aware that it was for Bill-and the Gideon-Bot)

Both sat/positioned themselves with their legs crossed.

Both threw themselves on a Mystery Twin when foiling their plans as they have something that belongs to them or are after-Dipper when holding the amulet in The Hand That Rocks The Mabel and Mabel when holding Journal 3 in Sock Opera.

Both attempted to squash members of the Pines Family with their fist.

Both have people terrified of them (Bill has his henchmaniacs scared of him as well as the entirety of Gravity Falls whereas Gideon intimidates both his parents and his waiter on his date with Mabel)

Both act weird when it comes to hair-Gideon sniffs Mabel's and Bill comments you should eat someone's hair in the love section of his book.

The "Big problems start out widdle" code in Stanchurian Candidate can be applied to both of them.

Both consume stuff in certain specific ways (Bill drank his medicine with a silly straw while Gideon eats ice cream without nuts)

Both are essentially gift givers at heart-both offer positions of power to their interests , both give Mabel and Ford gifts in the way of being able to see a new color and the dress he made for Mabel in jail and during the nice part of their relationship both planned events for them like karaoke nights or dates at fancy restaurants.

When both are heavily upset, they respond by trashing the place around them, usually with their powers-Gideon with his room and Bill the restaurant he went after the break up with Ford and the Fearamid.

They don't think highly of gnomes with Bill admitting in Journal 3 they're too dumb to fall for his trickery and smiling at the misery of Shmebulock when he was cursed by a wizard and Gideon gets mad at them for confusing him with a girl and orders them around like dogs to get the Pines out of his property.

Even after a setback in their plans-Gideon-Bot destroyed and the Pines enter Mabel´s bubble-they're still confident in their victory and the Pines's defeat, without taking Stanley into account.

Both begged for mercy in their defeats but failed, both being covered in the shadows of people they've wronged.

Same placement for their portrait in rooms for themselves.

Both of them have pets-Bill sees Ford and Teeth as such and Gideon has his hamster, Cheekums.

Both of them get turned into objects nearing the end of Weirdmageddon in Bill's castle; Bill, upon shaking "Ford" 's hand and entering the mindscape, turns into a statue that later gets its bottom half destroyed upon colliding with the ground/hidden in the ground below his castle and Gideon a decorative banner that also gets destroyed which makes him fall onto the ground/floor of the castle.

Both seem to like the stars; Gideon has the symbol of the Tent of Telepathy be a five pointed colorfull star which also wears proudly in the form of a cape, his second date with Mabel was a trip on boat under the starry night sky after the dance and in his dressing room you can see a black ceiling with stars on it whereas Bill wanted to show them to his entire dimension cause he thought they were cool and we have the "I saw the stars and I was ready to be one" comment on his book

Then there's the fact both wore a bit of the color of eachother's pallet at one point: Bill's shoes were blue and white while Gideon's cowboy outfit does have some yellow.

Could this all be a coincidence or intentional? Im not sure anymore, guys

Gideon Gleeful and Bill Cipher parallels

Both are snappy dressers with charm they use to trick people (Both of them even do the same trick of being cute to appeal to their respective audiences; Gideon with the cute look in the Tent of Telephaty and Bill with a picture of him as a baby in the Book of Bill)

Both lie about being beloved by everyone in their hometown (Gideon's manipulation had everyone in Gravity Falls fooled,his parents were scared of him and the Mystery Shack's workers alongside the Pines Family dislike him as a whole and Bill was bullied by his peers by singing rhymes like "Cipher! Cipher! He's insane! He starts fires with his brain!" and no one truly understood him when talking about the 3rd dimension or that there was an "up" )

Their modus operandi is to manipulate people, usually convincing their victims that they have more power than they actually do or with video materials (Bill by being a divine muse but he´s extremly limitated by his deal´s system and the attempt to hypnotize the visitors of the thisisnotawebsitecom.com with whats shown in "One Eyed King" code and Gideon being a mind reader when in reality he's powerless without his amulet and with the commercial shown in Dreamscapper where he sings about being the viewer's friend)

They both spied people through their own image (Gideon pins have cameras in his pins and Bill's imagenery serves as a peephole for him to look through into Earth)

Both have an unhealthy interest in certain Pines Twins to whom they view as the same as them (Gideon's stalked her Bill projects too heavily onto Ford due to how similar their lifes were) and are attracted to them by quirks or worldview they have (Gideon adores Mabel's interest in the sparkly things of life while Bill shares Ford's thirst of revenge and is fond of his smarts or his sixth finger)

What both truly crave is adoration and attention (Gideon's feelings for Mabel were genuine even if he went about them the wrong way whereas Bill wanted someone to finally get him after a lifetime of being treated like a freak, he wanted Euclydia to see the stars just like he did and he got that or the closest thing to that with Ford )

Both use make up (Gideon has his own dressing room and liked to play makeiver buddies with Mabel and he steals Wendy's cream to keep his skin baby soft whereas Bill uses mascara and eyeliner for his eye)

Both had some type of throne with something they play with(Gideon's chair in his family's factory with a Gideon doll and the throne of human agony during Weirdmageddon with Ford's golden statue)

Both harmed the brother of a Pines Twin at one point just to be a nuisance (Stan by blinding him with the flash of his glasses and Dipper by blasting him through the stomach when they first met in Dreamscappers)

Both have terrorized the people close to them (Gideon's parents and Bill all of Euclydia)

Both have been shown the to have the access or the capacity or hability to control zombies (Bill can posses Zombies as seen in the Book of Bill while Gideon has the Journal 2 and one of its pages talks about summoning an army of them)

Both are shown to be threaths not to be taken lightly.

Both looked for a journal, but with different motives but all linked to a goal related with power (Bill wanted the journal 3 destroyed so Dipper wouldn't interfere with his future plans aka Weirdmageddon while Gideon seeked the journal 1 to obtain maximun power)

Both wanted something inside the Shack (Bill the Rift and Gideon the Journal 1)

Both have a lawyer.

Both seem to care greatly about their appearence (Gideon constantly remarks his hair and keeps it shiny, gets disturbed when it gets messy, doesn't like when it's getting touched by others or when he cant take care of it as seen in Little Dipper and The Stanchurian Candidate and has a helmet over it in the finale while Bill cares about his bowtie with him screaming when Dipper blasts it and he's seen readjusting it a few times during Weirdmageddon like in Part 2 and 3)

Both refer to themselves as little guys in a way (Bill thinks of himself as a silly guy and even writes it in the ID booking he holds in his mugshot while Gideon tells one of his dolls he's a cute lil guy just to be replied "no, you are")

Both have merchandise of themselves which eventually failed like the Bill Cipher figurines and the Gideon dolls alongside the Gideon pins (Bill's tries to sell them went bad while the Gideon pins and Gideon dolls were no longer sold after the events of Gideon Rises being the few times we see them when Stan uses one for the crowd to boo at in ScaryOke and Bud burning them to be warm in Weirdmageddon Part 3 now only serving as warmth fuel)

Both aint too fond of Dipper and Stan, recognizing them as the brother of Mabel and Ford and even lesser versions of them at first but grow to hate them later on when ruining their plans for power or related to their twin.

Both are referred to as a either a monster or demon by Stanley/at least a Pines member or someone in a Gravity Falls (When Gideon was a baby, Robbie graffitied the word "demon" on his billboard and he gets called a monster by both Stanley and Dipper in ep 4 while Bill gets called an "isosceles monster" by Mabel, Ford describes him with "Monster" in the Journal 3 page where he warns us not to summon nor trust him and "My muse was a monster" and Stanley adresses him as a "all powerfull space demon" and "One Eyed Demon")

Both dont truly think that highly of Dipper at first until he does something that shocks or impresses them and use condescending names for him (Gideon refers him as "boy" while Bill tends to call him "kid" but the nickname he constantly refers to Dipper with in all his appearences is "Pine Tree", referencing his sign in the zodiac which he doesn't do with other Pines Members like Mabel, Stan or Ford-at least not all the time, being Ford the one he refers to by name the most)

Both tried to kill Dipper and actually did it in different timelines as revealed in the Book of Bill, with Gideon either stabbing him with his scissors or pushing him off the cliff and Bill's plan with jumping off of the Water tower in Dipper's body so he'd get stuck in the mindscape forever and the timelines where Dipper and Mabel get turned to stone in Weirdmageddon.

Both push/toss Dipper back before he can do anything to stop them, damaging him in the process (Gideon tosses Dipper behind him when he's controlling the Gideon Bot which causes him to get hit with a rock and bleed from his nose a little and Bill pushes Dipper with his power before he can actually punch him and ends up rolling in the ground and colliding with a tree that does wound him up a bit and leaves bruises onto him)

Both do see Mabel in a better light than they do other members of her family but for different reasons and to different extent (Gideon has a crush on her and considers her a sweet peach, his queen while Bill just likes her for her chaotic nature since it reminds him of himself-once again projecting onto others-but still sees her as a pawn and he's far more interested in her grunkle Ford)

Both add a "I was here" in certain places (Bill in Journal 3 and Gideon in the cell Stan was while getting interrogated by Agent Powers)

Both tried to have someone help them with their plans at first but when it failed they ended up taking matters into their own hands (Bill attempted to get Pacifica to bring him the Rift after the events of The mystery of the Northwest mansion but when that didn't work, he contacted Blendin and possessed him so Mabel could hand him the Rift and destroy it whereas Gideon wanted Bud to drive him to the Mystery Shack so he could shrink Stan but had to go there himself and attempt to attack Stan all alone)

Both sent their henchmen after Dipper to avoid him from being a nuisance on their plans later on during Weirdmageddon (Bill sents Teeth and 8 Ball after him so they can eat him as a snack while Gideon sents his prison buddies after Wendy and Dipper so they dont get into Mabel's bubble after stealing the key from him)

Both promise positions of power alongside them to certain Pines Twin if they submit to them, betraying their homes and family(Mabel gets the chance to rule the town as Gideon's queen while Ford gets the chance to be a literal god by submitting to Bill) but fail to get them to agree, saying they'd rather die than join their side.

Both tormented a Stan twins when they were in restrains (in Pioneer Day, by throwing tomatoes at Stanley when he was in the stock and by electrocuting Ford to give him the equation for several hours before the rescue)

Both were caged and forced to dance for someone's entertainment (Bill in one of his portal attempts ends up getting tricked and has to dance for a king while Gideon was forced to do cute dances for all of eternity as punishment for betraying Bill and the Henchmaniacs)

Both went to prison where they do art therapy and still swear revenge on the Pines (they even wear the same orange jumpsuit).

Both get trapped in jail or a cage as consequences of doing a deal with another entity more powerfull than them that can get them what they want (Bill traps Gideon in a cage after him not fullfilling his end of the deal they made back in the Stanchurian candidate where he was promised Mabel's love and/or revenge on the Pines Family by letting them into Mabel's bubble while Bill gets sent by the Axolot to the Theraprism after striking a deal with him in order not to die after getting erased with the memory gun)

Both follow a pattern of getting defeated by Dipper and Mabel twice, annoy a Stan Twin in episode 15 of their respective seasons (Gideon with the perfect spot in the pool in Deep Dive while Bill annoys Ford in his dreams in The Last Mabelcorn) and getting defeated for good in a season finale.

In both seasons finale, they take over a place and its up to the Mystery Twins to take back what they stole and stop them, getting close to their goal but its Stanley who ends up stopping them for good, returning what they stole and saving the day; becoming a hero for Gravity Falls on two different occasions (by revealing the truth about Gideon and punching Bill in the face)

Both hate Stanley's guts for messing with their plans to obtain ultimate power.

Both have photos/pictures of someone with a part of or their entire face scratched with red paint (Stanley's eyes crossed out in a photo Gideon uses to summon Bill while The Oracle's face is all covered in red in Bill's book)

They made stuff for the Pines in jail (Gideon made a dress for and wrote letters to Mabel in shorts while Bill created his book to send it to Ford)

Whatever stuff they give to the Pines its rejected, thrown away or destroyed (Ford constantly gets the book of Bill back but tries to get rid of it in several ways while Mabel throws his love letters into the Bottoless Pit and rejected the dress he made for her in prison)

Both burn a photo with members of the Pines Family, leaving only one of them intact.
