part 1
Tumblr media
“whatcha thinkin’ about?”
you’d been staring intently at the night sky, lost in thought as your dilated pupils traced the constellation of stars above. the familiar voice of your crew mate startled you, its low pitch mingling with the sound of crashing waves against the ship’s hull. your moment of peace away from the restless Whitebeard pirates had been interrupted by your father’s new recruit — Ace. it had only been a few weeks since the man was welcomed aboard, his vicious attacks against Whitebeard coming to a slow halt as he began to adjust to life on the moby dick.
his annoyingly chipper attitude caused your heart to race, irritation pooling behind your temples. you flashed a brief side eye, glaring at the young man as he approached you. the tension between the two of you had been thick, constantly butting heads every chance you got.
your first impression of Ace had been…interesting, to say the least. Ace’s arrival had not been long after your own, the unsteady waves beneath the ship entirely unfamiliar to you, causing your stomach to toss and turn at any given moment. this phase of seasickness persisted for days, completely bedridden with periodic trips to the ladies room. one night in particular, your nausea ripped you from your sleep, stomach bile and anxiety rising in your throat as you stumbled your way to the bathroom. your incessant pleas of ‘please don’t throw up’ was interrupted as a loud creak echoed through the halls, sounds of old wood groaning underneath an unfamiliar weight. for the first time in days your nausea stopped, adrenaline rushing through your body as you slowly make eye contact with the shadowy figure — a younger man cursing himself under his breath.
“who the hell are you?” you questioned, voice curious and stern to hide the shakiness of your anxiety. the figure met your eyes, how own filled with a distant darkness that you couldn’t quite set your finger on. was it anger? or something more sinister? that you couldn’t know, yet your stomach twisted all the same.
however, the man brushed you off, scoffing and continuing his journey, as if your interaction had been an inconvenience for him. your brows furrowed with disgust, partially at his attitude but also at the sting of bile returning to your mouth. you decided that if he truly was a threat, someone on watch would’ve taken care of the bastard before he set foot on this ship. although, you had failed to realize that the mystery man wielded a small weapon to carry out his mission — killing your father in his sleep.
when you discovered the truth the next day, you were pissed, lashing out at anyone who dared to breathe in the wrong direction. it look a while to admit to yourself that your anger was never actually directed toward Ace, but towards yourself. you had the perfect opportunity to apprehend the young man, saving your ill father the trouble and stress. if only i hadn’t been so damn selfish.
regardless, Ace had turned into the perfect punching bag.
“how peaceful my night was until you came and interrupted it,” you grumbled, refusing to make eye contact. “what do you want, Ace?”
the man scooted up next to you, resting his elbows on the ledge as he analyzed the look on your face. he wore a shit-eating grin, knowing that invading your personal space like he did would set you off, “what, a guy can’t get to know his crew mate? it’s been a few weeks and all we do is argue.”
“and why do you think that is?” you scoffed, finally returning his gaze — only yours held frustration. “all you do is bug me and try to kill my dad, both of which make us not cool.”
“oh cmon, [y/n] it was only a few times!” he protested, his own sarcasm causing a small laugh to escape from his lips. his amusement from this meaningless conversation only made you more irritated, shoving his arm away as you stormed off. what a fucking weirdo.
growing up, you and Whitebeard shared a promise — once you turned eighteen, he would allow you to sail along with his crew. and once that clock struck twelve on your eighteenth birthday, you sprinted to the rendezvous point — a small dock located on the coast of your hometown. the scent of the salt from the ocean swirled in your head as you inhaled deeply, allowing yourself to grow accustomed to the  smell of your new home. your father welcomed you with open arms once he arrived, his monstrous biceps cradling you with a nostalgic affection that conveyed his pride in finally welcoming you home. although you’d never admit this directly to his face, it had been hard watching your father build a family on sea, while you — his actual family — watched from the rocky sidelines.
on board the ship, you were not regarded as the captain’s daughter, but as a respected equal. to truly be successful, you had to earn your position just like everyone else — training and fighting hard to prove yourself worthy enough to be a Whitebeard pirate. by the time you arrived, everyone had earned their place on board, whether that be represented by their honorary titles or through their incredible determination. this knowledge did not deter you, but made you even more eager to succeed. the access to such valuable fighters at all times provided you with the tools to improve yourself — constantly asking for advice on techniques.
Whitebeard had been extremely adamant about your position — making it abundantly clear that you were not going to receive any special treatment, blood be damned. you had come to terms with this rule, happily accepting it as it was. sure, having your father as an emperor of the sea had its perks, but you wanted to create a name for yourself. there were many young pirates rising in popularity, all sharing a similar dream — world domination through the influence of power and honorific titles. you, on the other hand, wanted to take advantage of the world’s ambiguity. the freedom of the vast oceans enticed you, drawing you in from a very young age. you wanted to see what was out there — exploring cultures other than your own and making friends all over the world. wealth and fame never came to mind when you decided to set out to sea, your father having enough of that to support the two of you for generations. all you wanted was to enjoy life’s most simple pleasures.
the other rule had been a bit more…embarrassing.
“…and one more thing before i cut all of you loose,” Whitebeard announced, his voice quick to silence the chatter and scraping of boots against the wooden panels as people rose to their feet. he had called a quick meeting during the banquet on the night of your arrival, a celebration for the new recruit. you could tell by the way his words slurred that he was extremely drunk, but nonetheless very serious. “i want to make it very clear that [y/n] is to be completely off limits. from this day forward, you are all prohibited from any sexual or intimate relations with my daughter—“
“DAD!” you interjected, shooting a wild glare at your father as your cheeks burned into a hot crimson, “seriously?? no offense but like you’re all like…really old.”
the room erupted into exotic laughter, hoots and whoops booming from every direction as the drunken pirates clutched their sides. one pirate decided to speak up, planting one of his legs on the floor as he adjusted himself atop the large wooden barrel he had made his post on for the night. his fiery orange hair and red rimmed glasses caught your attention immediately — Marco, you had heard your father address him once before, “oh c’mon Pops, she’s like five years old! if anything she’s like our little sister!”
your face recoiled at his words, arms thrown up in exasperation, your drink spilling over your wrist in the process,  “hey! i didn’t wait eighteen years to board this ship just to be treated like a child!”
the huffing of your cheeks, however, completely contradicted your words — looking more like a toddler throwing a fit than a brave young woman with every passing second.
Whitebeard raised a calloused hand, his open palm signaling for the senseless shouting and bickering to halt, "look, i've spent nearly my entire life on the sea, traveling with enough grown men to know how truly disgusting pirates can be. if i ever find out that any of you have acted in such a way toward my daughter, i'll have you killed where you stand. am i clear?"
despite their dismissive laughter, the rest of the Whitebeard pirates knew better than to go against his word, keeping this rule at the back of their minds.
...
it was no secret that the daughter of their beloved captain had grown to become a beautiful, fiery young woman. your figure had filled out nicely over the years — clothes that usually draped over your small frame now fit snugly around the curves of your body, chest and hips filling in your favor.
your attitude, on the other hand, could use some work. you were never afraid to speak your mind, making it abundantly clear when you disagreed with a snide comment or opposing idea someone presented to the crew. “letting things slide” had never been your forte — you were upfront and honest, a quality that many successful pirates possessed.
you'd quickly learn such a quality often got you into trouble, however, especially when you had met someone just as fervid as you. Ace ignited a heat within you that you weren't even sure a human could produce, unbridled rage and frustration pounding against your temples every time you clashed. the stubbornness of two hot-headed teenagers was enough to physically rock the large ship, shouts and screams unbearably disruptive.
one thing Whitebeard couldn't stand was a brat. memories of him reprimanding you for crying and whining without a good cause plagued the first few years of your life.
"if you're gonna be stupid, you've gotta be tough," was his famous line. your stubbornness prevented you from recognizing the valuable lesson at hand, often referring to him as "a big mean pirate" rather than his honored title of "daddy". he never took your words to heart, however, laughing in your face while your big eyes lined with hot tears. "you'll thank me later, kid"
it turns out that your uncooperative attitude was a phase you failed to outgrow, as your father had called both you and Ace into his quarters for a talk. the two of you sat uncomfortably close to one another on Whitebeard's plush bed, elbows grazing from time to time. these sudden touches caused you to flinch, exchanging awkward glances with the man next to you as your cheeks grew hot.
"do you mind?" you griped, finally pulling your arm away after the fourth brushing of skin.
Ace's gaze remained neutral, a playful blush dancing across his freckled cheeks, "what, you scared you might like it?"
you scoffed, rolling your eyes as you dramatically scooted to the edge of the bed. Ace's gaze burned the back of your neck as he watched you, chuckling to himself at your theatrics.
your father's giant figure loomed ominously over the two of you, watching the interaction unfold as his patience grew increasingly thin. Ace returned his gaze as he made himself comfortable, arms crossed beneath his shaggy black hair. this adjustment caused his shirt to flap open — not that he had it buttoned up anyway — the pastel yellow fabric exposing the toned muscle of his abdomen.
"what's on your mind, Pops?" Ace said, his tone relaxed and oblivious to the severity of these conversations. Whitebeard's gaze flickered to his, yellow pupils illuminated in the dim candle light of the bedroom. Ace's smile began to fade as he saw that Whitebeard was completely unamused, sitting himself up once again out of respect.
"whatever shit you brats have going on needs to stop," Whitebeard began, his raspy voice cutting through the silence like a blade. "you might not realize it, but everyone is sick of hearing you two bitch at each other every time you're together. i've worked hard to build this ship into a family that loves and relies on each other, and i'm not gonna sit here and let you two destroy that. do i make myself clear?"
guilt crept up your throat as your cheeks flushed in embarrassment. it had only been a few weeks and you're already affirming your suspicions that you were unworthy you were to be here, that your existence was merely an act of nepotism. you nodded at your fathers words, biting the insides of your cheeks to stop the slew of protests that rested on the tip of your tongue.
not only had you hated the fact that you disappointed your father, but that you caused him unnecessary trouble. it was clear that his health was declining with every passing week, Marco making more frequent trips to his quarters the last few days. the thought of losing your father terrified you, especially since you two finally got to spend time together in one space after a lifetime apart. your eyes often drifted over the oxygen tube that rested just beneath his nose, a crushing reality that your father really was just human after all. that he would live and die like everyone else. this ache in your chest caused your thoughts to drift to dark places — how you would react to the news that he was in fact not improving, how divided life on the ship would be, how you would react when he actually kicked the bucket…
unlike you, Ace enjoyed your bickering, often encouraging it by baiting you with sly comments in hopes that you’d latch onto it. it reminded him of simpler times in the east blue, where he and his brothers would run wild and free in the jungle, inventing new ways of getting into trouble no other child would have ever imagined. he was used to raised voices and insults hurled at him — life as the pirate king’s son not as glamorous as you’d think.
your “screaming matches,” as some would describe, always ended with Ace having a smug grin plastered across his face, never actually hurt or affected by your venomous words. in fact, he enjoyed watching you get worked up — the way you would get close enough to his face that he could smell the light perfume you wore, a flash of pearly teeth so close to his mouth that all he had to do was lean in and—
“…do i make myself clear?”
oh, right.
“yes, Pops. sorry again for all the trouble, i promise it won’t happen again,” Ace assured with a lighthearted smile, which told you that his words didn’t hold much weight. such a performance would’ve earned a rise out of you, however, you were so lost in your own disparaging thoughts you had failed to notice.
when there was no reaction, Ace turned his head, gaze lingering over yours as he studied your expression. it was…empty, as if in that moment you were sucked into another realm where you could feel nothing at all. he had never seen this side of you before, never knew that in a blink of an eye you could be silent and distant. the feeling that brewed in his stomach was akin to curiosity, but also a deep sense of sadness. your sudden disassociation was an art he knew all too well, becoming a master in masking his own emotions. Ace’s heart clenched unexpectedly at the sight, releasing a deep sigh to relieve some of the tension building in his chest.
underneath all the teasing, the look of hurt in your face something he never wanted to see. your sorrow encouraged him to try building a better relationship with you. after all, you couldn’t really be that bad, right?
“okay, we’ll do our best,” Ace said, his voice soft as he stood to meet Whitebeard’s gaze. your father gave him a small nod, a gesture that let him know that he really was putting his trust in the two of you.
“hold on, Ace. i still need to speak with you,” Whitebeard started, placing a firm hand on the young man’s bare chest. “[y/n] you may go.”
you snapped out of your trance in an instant, returning to the present as if nothing happened.
“g’night dad,” you said solemnly, feet scurrying out of the room hoping no one caught onto your sudden shift in attitude. Ace’s dark eyes followed you on the way out, watching your shoulders sway back and forth.
Whitebeard’s gaze, on the other hand, never left Ace and watched the way he observed you — a little too closely. he cleared his throat, causing Ace to blink his way out of his thoughts.
“i wanted to speak to you about [y/n]. you’re aware of the rules, yes?”
it took a moment for Ace to realize what exactly he had been talking about, rummaging through the jumbled mess that was his mind.
“ah, the whole ‘don’t-date-my-daughter’ rule,” Ace said, his long fingers bending into air quotes. “i’m quite aware.”
“i mean it, Ace. if i find out that you’re messing around with my daughter on this ship, ill throw you overboard myself.”
Ace’s expression returned to its playful default, eyes mischievous as he huffed a laugh, “don’t worry pops, i won’t fuck your daughter if that’s what you’re so worried about.”
Whitebeard has always been a stoic figure, never letting words or dangerous situations knock him down. that was until Ace planted such a vulgar image in his mind that he had no choice but to react. his shock transformed from bewilderment to an intense anger, amusement never making its way to his face.
“you can go.”
Ace recognized the danger in his expression and swiftly exited the room, hollering a fast “okaysorrygoodnight!” over his shoulder.

Mornings in the Mirror
Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen x fem!Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: a little vignette about getting dressed in the morning with Feyd. Established relationship.
Same universe as Knives Dance based on some of the exposition from part 3 because I’m having trouble saying goodbye to Knives Dance. You don’t have to have already read the series to understand, but there are some spoilers to the series. Set between parts 2 and 3.
Warnings: some suggestive content
Word Count: 2.1k
Written on mobile cause I’m on a bus
You step out of the bathroom attached to the bedroom you share with Feyd, using a towel to gently blot the last of the water off your hair to finish drying it. As you do so, you look outside the window to observe Giedi Prime’s cityscape with its dark, expansive architecture filled with imposing, black structures.
The city is already humming with morning activity. Ships fly through the air, taking people where they need to be like clockwork. You hear the beat of the Harkonnen armies marching on the ground far below your quarters. The sound has become a comfort to you since coming to Giedi Prime. Without fail, the marching would start at the same time each day, ringing in a new day as the black sun shone on the city. Just like all those times before, you feel the aura of Giedi Prime wash over you. Everything is in perfect order, which puts your mind at ease.
Looking over to the large bed behind you, you see Feyd has gotten up since you’ve been in the shower, leaving the sheets untidy over the mattress. You smile. You’ve come to learn his habits over the weeks, and he always does this, knowing the servants will come and replace them with fresh sheets later once you’ve both left. He’s always said that he has more important duties than making his own bed. Now that you’re living together, you know he’s right, especially since he’s Baron Harkonnen now. His daily meetings with advisors in the Harkonnen War Room or diplomats on his throne with you by his side often keep him occupied. His time is precious, as is yours.
Making your way over to the closet, you see your husband through the crack in the doorway. His back is to you, allowing you to see his muscled shoulder blades and admire his slim waist. He’s standing in front of his side of the closet, running his fingers along the series of clothes on hangers. You slip into the closet and approach him from behind. You know he’s already heard you approach when you see his shoulders relax. He turns to you, his Baroness. When he does so, you can see how his eyes soften, a small smile on his lips as he looks at you. He extends his palm outward to you and you gladly walk over and slide your hand into his.
“Good morning, my love,” he says to you before pulling you closer by your hand and wrapping his other hand around your waist before dragging it up your body and cupping your cheek. He brushes his thumb across your skin, sending shivers down your spine
As you look at him, your heart fills with pride, knowing you’re the only one who gets to be with him in this way. You get to see him for more than his reputation. Anyone would scorn the idea that Feyd-Rautha, the psychotic nephew of Vladimir Harkonnen, may he rest in peace, who slays countless slaves in a gladiatorial arena and kills servants at will, would be able to do something so tender. However, here you are, the only one to behold his love and affection.
“Good morning, Feyd,” you whisper back to him against his lips, and he gives your hand another firm squeeze. “I hope you slept well.” You both break reluctantly, knowing you both have to get ready now. “What are we doing today?” you ask him, turning to his closet and thumbing through his clothes yourself.
“We have another meeting with our generals today in the War Room,” he says as he stands back to watch you at work. He was surprised the first time you went to pick out what he wore for the day, but he quickly grew to appreciate the ritual because of how much thought you invested in it every day. “We also have to meet with our Directors of Commerce concerning spice on Arrakis. We should also be receiving news about the status of spice production.”
“I hope Rabban has gotten his act together,” you say, pulling one of his outfits from the hanger and taking an undershirt of his out of a drawer beside you. It’s a deep blue almost black pair of pants with a matching jacket with a high neckline. You hand it to him, and he immediately puts each item on.
You bring your arms to his shoulders to smooth the fabric of the jacket over his body. You grab the seams at the shoulders, lining them up with the edges of his body so that it hangs perfectly on him. The clean lines accentuate the broadness of his torso and bolster his imposing stature. He really looks like a Baron now. You make a mental note to have the seamstresses make more outfits like this for him.
“...And I hope Rabban has figured out how to acquire a brain,” Feyd mumbles, savoring your touch on him.
“Whatever will we do with him…” you sigh in return as you kneel down to smooth out his pant legs.
“Thank you,” Feyd says as you rise to your feet again when you finish.
“Of course,” you reply, starting to make your way over to your side of the closet. He follows you and brings a hand to your shoulder from behind. You twist around to look at him with your brows knit. Why did he stop you?
“May I… return the favor today, my darling?” He asks, his voice wavering for a moment. Your lips part in surprise. He’s never asked to do this before, but his nervousness that he’s trying to conceal makes your heart swell. From that small moment of hesitation, you can tell he’s been wanting to ask this of you for some time.
You step back to allow him access, and Feyd raises his gaze up to the exposed rack of clothes. He starts at one end, pushing the outfits on the rod one by one to take a close look at each one. As he moves down the line, you can tell he’s deep in concentration. Should he pick a Harkonnen gown, or one you’ve brought from Youra? He’s taking great care in this task, which makes you sigh in appreciation.
He finally decides after many moments of consideration. He pulls down a floor length Harkonnen gown with a Queen Anne neckline and cap sleeves. It’s made of layers of fabric that seem to swallow all light that touches it, creating a rich obsidian black. The bodice is an intricately detailed corset adorned with elegant lace and prominent ribbing atop fine mesh. As he turns it around, he drags his gaze up and down the dress. The back is also beautiful, the design stretching all the way around.
“I haven’t seen you wear this one before,” he says, as he admires the open upper back, the edges of which are lined with the same lace as the bodice.
“It has a lace-up corset. It takes longer and requires another person to get into,” you explain, which makes Feyd’s eyes glimmer with excitement.
“What am I here for then?” he asks with a grin.
“Ruling Giedi Prime perhaps?” you jest. He scoffs and brings the dress over.
“Other than that,” he says, taking it off the hanger.
“I wouldn’t want to trouble you, Feyd.”
“It really isn’t any trouble, my love. Please? May I help you?” You see a hint of longing in his eyes and you nod at him, abandoning your towel as Feyd loosens the laces of the corset. He helps you by gathering the dress, giving you the ability to dive head first into the gown. As you pull down the dress over your body and put your arms through the armholes, you immediately notice how luxurious the fabric is against your skin. Even though the corset has not been tightened, you know that it will be a perfect fit by just feeling it on yourself. Turning your back to Feyd and holding yourself straight, you silently signal to Feyd that you’re ready.
“Let me know if it’s too tight,” he whispers in your ear from behind. His breath on your neck makes your skin tingle, and you try to resist turning around, grabbing his head and kissing him. At your motion he begins to tug on the laces little by little, causing the corset to perfectly conform to your figure. His touch is precise and the way he pulls at the strands is decisive and firm. To your surprise, he’s rather good at this and seems to know exactly what to do. Once he is done tightening it, he uses his fingers to gently tie a knot then a bow at the back of your dress with the excess ribbon. As you move around a little to settle into the dress, you feel how the corset isn’t too loose on you, and you don’t feel like you’re being suffocated either.
Before you can thank him for a job well done, he’s already at your feet, placing a pair of strapless patent leather shoes in front of you. He takes your hand in his. You use your free hand to grab your skirt as you slip the shoes on one by one. Feyd beckons you to follow him and takes you both over to the mirror in the closet. He positions you in front of him in the center of the mirror.
“Look at you, darling,” he whispers to you, his eyes wandering up and down the portrait of you in front of him. Feyd could look at this image all day. The bodice fits your body perfectly and the dress flares out from your waist beautifully, making you look like a goddess descended from above. He brings his arms around you and smooths his hands over your front, feeling the lace pass under his fingertips. The look of you together is truly gratifying for Feyd with him in his clean cut ensemble and you in your gown. You both look powerful next to each other. Together you are Baron and Baroness of House Harkonnen and you look the part. “You’re exquisite, my love.”
He dips his head down and brings his lips to your neck, pressing small kisses over the area. Feeling the heat within you rising, you turn around in his embrace and bring your arms up around his neck. Capturing his lips in yours, you kiss him fervently. He brings one hand up and combs his fingers through your hair, which makes you feel like a surge of electricity has shot through your veins. As you kiss him back, all of your surroundings seem to melt away into nothingness. All of it is insignificant compared to your husband. You can tell he’s also lost in the sensation of you against his body and in his hands as he rakes his hands through your hair. His grip on your waist tightens as his kiss becomes hungrier, and you feel him tug at your bottom lip with his teeth.
Breaking away from him, you see how heavy his lids are now, his firm grip on you not letting up. You smile at him and give him another quick kiss, this one much lighter. You didn’t want to stop, but you must attend to your duties. “Later, darling,” you sigh into his ear. “I just got dressed, after all. I wouldn’t want to undo your expert work.”
He lets out an amused huff and nods in agreement. You go over to the mirror and realize your hair is completely disheveled. Your dress is still beautiful, but you can’t say the same thing about your hair now that Feyd’s had his hands on it.
“I bet none of the Harkonnen women you’ve had in the past had to deal with this issue when leaving your quarters,” you joke as you open a different drawer near you, which contains all of your hair care tools that you’d brought with you to Giedi Prime. You take a moment to make the necessary adjustments to your hair, trying to salvage it.
“You need not mention them,” Feyd says, his jaw tightening. “They are of no concern to you or me anymore.”
“I know,” you smile, turning back to him and extending your arm. “I’m only teasing. Let’s go.”
He relaxes and gladly takes your hand, allowing you to lead him out of your quarters. With that, you begin your day side by side as Baron and Baroness of House Harkonnen.
Thanks for reading! 💛

“Obi-Wan went to the Chancellor’s office.” “Alone. He’s alone.” “He’s going to arrest him.” “The Chancellor’s a Sith.”
The Chancellor’s a Sith.
Anakin can’t wrap his head around the information. It feels wrong. Impossible. Inconceivable. It feels like a nightmare. A nightmare that goes on and on as he learns more about the situation along the way.
The Council kept him away on purpose. Because he was compromised. Considered too close to Sheev Palpatine - Darth Sidious - to be put in the confidence. The betrayal tastes like blood in his mouth. But it’s not betrayal that leads his steps to the nearest hangar bay ; it’s anger. Cold rage blurring the edges of his vision and which would make him ignite his lightsaber at anyone trying to stop him.
They sent Obi-Wan alone. To defeat a Sith. Why ? Anakin knows why. Cowards, all of them.
If Palpatine was able to keep the truth from Anakin for so long, what else was he capable of ? Obi-Wan could be dead for all he knows. The thought sends a wave of nausea up his throat. No. Obi-Wan survived a Sith once, when he was only a Padawan. He can survive until Anakin gets there. He has to.
His eyes are scanning the platform for a transport ready to fly when a hand lands on his shoulder.
“General.”
He jolts around, hand already on the hilt of his lightsaber, thumb on the ignition, only to be faced with his Captain, bare faced, out of breath and visibly worried. He might have ran to get there, to stop him-
“Back off, Rex.” He barks. “I don’t want to hurt you.”
Rex shakes his head and tilts his head to the platform. He doesn’t try to stop him, instead he gets straight to the point. Anakin appreciates him for that.
“There’s a shuttle incoming from the Senate. Unidentified passengers.”
Anakin turns to the platform. Outside, the Coruscanti sky splits in half, thunder rambling deep above their head, echoing what he feels inside. Then the rain starts to pour.
“Do you think-”
“We must be prepared for every possibility.” Rex answers, putting his helmet back on. “I’ve got squads on their way to the Temple. The Council has been warned.”
Anakin snarls at the words. He won’t be needing the Council’s help. If Darth Sidious is the one stepping off that ship, it will mean that Obi-Wan is dead and then, then Anakin no longer answers for his actions.
He steps outside as the shuttle lands on the platform, lightsaber buzzing and whistling under the downpour, ready to taste blood.
His heart is pounding in his chest, in his ears, down to the tip of his fingers. There’s no clarity, no peace before combat, only the drumming of his blood inside of his head, the anger swelling up in his belly for him to feed on. He springs into action as soon as the ramp of the ship touches the ground.
He spots the corner of a dark robe, caught in the wind outside. His throat tightens.
And then.
Then, Obi-Wan comes down the ramp, alone. Bloody and bruised but alive. Anakin’s lightsaber clatters to the wet ground as he runs to him, all anger, all rage abandoned as relief washes over him.
“Obi-Wan !”
The Jedi looks a bit disoriented, limping down to the platform but he raises his head when he hears his voice through the storm. He just has time to open his arms and Anakin crashes into him.
“Obi-Wan…”
He wants to say so much more but the words stay stuck in his throat. It’s a broken sob that escapes instead, bearing all his fear and confusion and helplessness. As he hides his face into the crook of Obi-Wan’s neck, gentle hands come to rest on his hair, pushing wet strands from his forehead and cheeks. Obi-Wan sighs then, and presses his mouth against the shell of his ear.
“It’s over, Anakin. Everything’s alright now, love.”
Anakin shivers and lets out a wet noise, pulling away just enough to search Obi-Wan’s face.
“Is it true…? What they say about him being- being a Sith ?”
Obi-Wan nods curtly, once. He gently cups Anakin's face and holds it, eyes in his eyes. They’re the same color as the storm, Anakin thinks.
“The Chancellor is dead.” Obi-Wan says quietly. “He’ll never get to use you ever again.”
And then, he kisses him. He kisses him under the pouring rain, he kisses him in the middle of the platform where everyone can see and Anakin couldn't care less. If Obi-Wan wants the whole galaxy to know, there’s nothing left to stop Anakin from loving him like he’d always wanted to.
He grabs the collar of this robe and pulls him closer, pressing his mouth against his with a desperate abandon. Obi-Wan slips a hand behind his neck and squeezes, making him gasp and melt a little bit more against his body. He pushes his tongue against Obi-Wan's lips and invades his mouth as soon as he leaves an opening, making him groan and wrap an arm around his waist to pull him even impossibly closer. They're soaking wet, raindrops running down their faces, mixing with Anakin's tears and seeping under their layers, weighing down their clothes.
Neither of them seem to care, and even less of the audience that has formed on the platform. The only thing that matters is that they get to feel each other until they’re both sure that they're safe.
It takes a little while. Anakin doesn’t want to stop kissing him, now that he can, and Obi-Wan hasn't decided to let go of the hold he has on him. It’s when Anakin moans a little too loud at his curls being pulled that Obi-Wan finally breaks the kiss with a chuckle.
“You’d better keep that for the bedroom, darling.” He says with a smirk, and kisses Anakin’s pout before it can even form on his lips.
“Bedroom, now.” Anakin mutters back, slipping a hand under Obi-Wan’s robe to press his palm on the large plane of his back. "Please."
Obi-Wan chuckles again and pulls slightly away from the warmth of his body to give a look to their audience.
“Unfortunately, I think I have a report to give first.” He sighs.
Anakin scowls and cups his cheek with his other hand, bringing his attention back on him.
“They’re going to keep you away from me. Again.”
Obi-Wan smiles, gently and confidently. He turns his head slightly to kiss the inside of his palm.
“I won’t let them. Never again.”

Crashing Waves (Part 1)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Pirate San x Reader Word Count: 5k Genre: Fantasy AU, Slow Burn Romance Warnings: 18+, MDNI, Swearing, Alcohol
I thought that I knew love. But it was just the waves crashing over us ~ Waves by The Dear Hunter
You sat quietly on the dock watching the last of the dusk's light sink beneath the horizon, you often came to the ocean at night. You never really understood the sway it had over you but it gave you a sense of calm and peace to listen to it to watch the waves rise and fall the soft whispers it gave to you each time you were near it. Although you had been warned a hundred different times by your father and friends to stay away from the docks it was the only place you could go tonight, the king tide making it far too difficult to get to the small rocky cove you often visited.
Come home child, come home to me.
The sailors and merchants all ignored you, having slipped out of your corset and hiding your hair beneath a hat you didn’t look like a lady of the night and there was no way you looked wealthy enough to bother so most, probably, assumed you were an urchin scrounging for anything you could to get by. There had been chaos within the town that day swelling and frothing like the seas during a storm which had left the streets empty and most of the ships with their gangways stowed to prevent anyone untoward coming aboard. Only one colossal ship that sat docked on the furthest berth away from the other vessels but again you didn’t really care you just made your way past it and sat with your feet dangling above the water your pants hiked up to your knees to prevent them getting wet.
Earlier you had been sitting in the tavern listening to your friends prattle on about pirates stealing women away to sell to foreign lands or taking them as prizes to spend the rest of their lives at sea but you were yet to hear a single shred of actual evidence of this. Pirates, mercenaries and soldiers were often the same thing; it just depended on who was paying them. If they worked for themselves they were pirates, if they could be bought they were mercenaries and if they could become loyal they were soldiers. The line between was pretty damn thin in your mind. Each drink had made you more uninterested in their stories and increased the longing you felt to be alone so while they continued to dance and drink you slipped away to find solitude beside the waves of the highest tide this year.
“What are you doing here?” a stern voice asked from behind you making you jump slightly then frown deeply in disappointment.
“I’m watching the waves” you replied honestly annoyance clear in your voice, not even looking back at the man who had interrupted your peace.
“Sounds like a ruse to spy on us” he muttered bitterly, his footfalls getting closer to you, his boots clunking against each of the old boards that had been worn smooth with time and salt as he moved.
“I don’t know or care who you are sir, please just leave me alone” you continued, turning your body to sit against one of the large dock posts so you could see both him and the ocean. His face was still half in shadow but you could tell he was someone important. The gold chain that hung across his chest and the glittering rings on his fingers showed wealth but the sword on his belt warned of potential danger.
“Then why are you so close to my ship?” he demanded coldly, his scrutiny obvious as the waves began picking up and started to bob his ship slightly in its mooring, the breeze fluttering the sails on the boats docked.
“Because your ship is docked where I sit, you decided that not me” already being tired from a long day and probably one too many drinks. You had little emotional strength left to even pretend you care if he was offended or angry. His presence was irritating you when he could have just ignored you. He remained silent studying you as you turned back to the sea watching the waves even out once more.
“You're not curious who I am? Not afraid of me either?” he queried, seeming perplexed about his whole encounter with you, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword although you still didn’t flinch.
“No, I’m not” you admitted quietly, closing your eyes and leaning your head back against the old wooden post. After a few more minutes of nothingness he left presumably to his ship which loomed between you and the shore blocking the view of the town you lived in. Once the darkness finally fell you stood and wandered back towards your family’s home fully aware that a different man was following you, his feet moving almost silently as he remained shrouded in shadow everytime you passed by a street lamp that bathed the ground with an eerie amber gold light.
“I know you are there” you breathed stepping into a dim alleyway beside the apothecary. You heard the steps pause and then a quiet sigh as he stepped into the dim light only a few feet from you “Did your friend ask you to follow me?”.
“He didn’t understand why you didn’t care about the danger you were in, or whether you did and you really are a spy” he replied in his musical voice the only thing you could discern since he was covered head to toe in black, his raised hood covering most of his face.
“He’s either paranoid or he thinks that your reputation precedes you so much that a small town woman knows who you are” you challenged leaning against the dirty bricks as you accepted that perhaps you should have listened to just about everyone and not visited the docks.
“Did you not see the logo on our ship? Do you not know what it means?” He asked a touch softer as if he suddenly noticed how you were dressed and how you looked he stepped forward and you realized how tall he was, although his lithe frame made him seem young.
“I saw it but I don’t know it” you admitted tilting your head “my family work on land we don’t know anything about pirates”.
“How do you know we are pirates then?” he asked but you could hear the smile that was likely gracing his face.
“Big ship, paranoid captain who wears expensive looking jewels, tall assassin looking man who follows his orders. Do I need to keep listing things off?” you smiled right back daring him to deny any of the things you mentioned.
“Alright you are clever I’ll give you that. Why do you spend time at the docks if you work in the town?” He pressed lowering his hood to allow you to see him. Even in the low light you couldn’t help the way your eyes widened. He was beautiful, longish dark hair framed his sharp featured face like a gilded frame making it almost impossible to look away from.
“The ocean has always called to me, I sit beside it every night it calms me especially when I have a little too much to drink” you whispered, still staring at him unashamedly you could see the cogs turning in his head deciding how he would proceed with you.
“I’m Seonghwa” he bowed his head respectfully, seeming pleased that you were so openly staring at him.
“Well Seonghwa nice to meet you” you offered your hand for him to shake noticing the grace with which he moved.
“Come by the ship tomorrow before noon I want to show you something” his eyes twinkled as he smirked at you before turning away and disappearing from sight. Still dazed from meeting Seonghwa, you continued home knowing that he was no longer following you.
“Why would I want to do that?” you mused thinking that he was already gone disappeating into the inky darkness.
“Because now you’re curious” he laughed softly his voice fainter than before.
“Fucking cloak and dagger bullshit” you muttered stepping back out of the allyway and into the street to continue towards home.
“So was she spying?” Wooyoung nonchalantly asked his feet up on one of the chairs in the galley.
“Nope she’s just a normal girl” Seonghwa chuckled watching Hongjoong frown deeply “Had one drink too many and needed some air”.
“She can’t be just a ‘normal girl” Hwa, when I spoke to her she got annoyed and the waves started when I left her alone and she calmed down. The waves stopped, that isn’t normal” Hongjoong insisted irritation in his tone.
“True but either way she wasn’t spying” Hwa smiled crookedly before moving towards the doorway “Oh I invited her to the ship tomorrow so you could always ask her yourself”.
“Who’s coming tomorrow?” San piped up entering the galley from the other end plopping himself down beside Wooyoung to begin eating.
“Mystery girl” Wooyoung cackled, watching as Hongjoong’s frown intensified, staring at the place the Seonghwa had just been filling.
“I don’t get what’s so special about her” Mingi mumbled from the spot he had been sitting in watching the discussion before him.
“Hongjoong thinks she's one of those sea imps but she can’t be, she lives on land” Yeosang whispered back in between mouthfuls of dinner.
“Dipshits” Hongjoong rolled his eyes stabbing at his food viciously.
“Were you at the docks?” your roommate Mara narrowed her eyes at you looking you over for filth or injury.
“No, I went to the cliffs above the cove. The tide was too high tonight to get down to the rocks” you lied shamelessly ripping the bread she had saved for you into pieces before popping it in your mouth.
“Well you still smell like salt” you nodded slowly going back to the book she had been reading her eyes skimming the rest of the page in silence.
“I have smelt of worse things. I heard there were pirates that docked today” you started your words half garbled by the bread filling your mouth “The whole tavern was talking about them”.
“That’s why I told you to stay away from the docks” Mara sighed defeated before looking over at you unimpressed. “You never pay attention to anything do you? There was a notice put up just about everywhere that there were pirates seen just past the headland and they were probably headed here and you didn’t even see them did you?”.
“Sorry Mara” you bowed your head unwittingly, annoying her by just being yourself again, you couldn’t help that you didn’t pay attention to every stupid thing that happened in town.
“Finish your bread and go to sleep” she grumbled putting down her book and turning out the lamps.
When you woke up, Mara was already gone, probably having left for the market for work. It gave you a chance to clean up and change before venturing to the docks to see if Seonghwa had meant what he had said about showing you something. Donning a simple pair of dark jeans and a green tunic you slipped from the house unnoticed, taking only an apple, some bread and some biscuits to last you until you could return home again. You wanted to take your bicycle to make the trip quicker but you knew that would lead to you being recognized and you didn’t want to be stopped. You were too curious about this thing that the beautiful Seonghwa wanted to show you even if you were unsure you could trust him.
It was close to noon by the time you slipped yourself through the docks and approached the ship, the ostentatious decorations on the hull making it much more noticeable in the daylight, the solid brass and copper engines that sat just above water level were something you had never seen before and the gigantic red A that was stitched into each sail and painted on the hull gave little doubt of the owners intentions. Walking up the gangway you stopped one step before you would be considered onboard the ship waiting until one of the men on the deck noticed you.
“Uh who are you?” a pretty man who looked far too etherial to be a pirate asked you his broom halting mid sweep when he saw you.
“Where did you even come from?” a broad man with a striking face asked moving to step in front of his shipmate waiting to see what you would say his hand hovering near his waist.
“Seonghwa asked me to come” you smiled nervously looking at him. He looked like he could intimidate anyone he chose to but there was something in his actions that made you feel safe instead of fear.
“Ah you came!, welcome to my home, well our home” Seonghwa’s sothing honey laughter made itself known before he gracefully stepped into view.
“Hello again Seonghwa” you bowed your head but didn’t move. You knew you had to be expressly invited in before you assumed anything with pirates; it was only polite.
“Come I will give you the tour” he beckoned you onto the boat which you gingerly stepped onto the once moving vessel now standing completely still which made the two crew members look at each other subtly, something crossing between them that you didn’t understand.
“Lead the way then” you stepped towards him as he moved back through the darkened doorway into the belly on the ship.
“They were Yeosang and San. The others we will probably find along the way” he hummed showing you the galley, the armory and the crew quarters finally walking you past the cannons on your way towards what you could only assume was the captain's quarters.
“So should I assume that what you wanted to show me is probably the captain” you mused looking at a cannon with interest. The gleam of the silver barrels showing that they had seen little action.
“Yes and no” Seonghwa conceded with a sly smile tugging on his lips.
“Shall we get this over with I’m getting hungry and I left my lunch on the dock” you sigh knowing that although it is unlikely a trap you will probably have to talk to the annoying man again.
“Captain” Seonghwa knocked sharply on the door to the quarters waiting for a sign to enter.
“Come” a loud voice called letting you know that it probably was the same man from the night before.
“This is the one I was talking about” Seonghwa announced, swinging open the door and carefully pushing you through the opening, stepping in behind you and almost blocking your exit. Despite the large windows the room remained dim, large heavy curtains blocking out most of the light that was trying to illuminate the room. Three men occupied the space, a tall man who looked you over with slight confusion, a serious looking man with floppy dark hair and a smaller man who you recognized as being the jerk from the dock the night before. He sat at the desk, his hands holding a large looking glass and a necklace which he had been by the looks of it appraising, because pirates you guessed.
“Hwa said you aren’t a spy” he started placing the necklace down on the dark wooden table.
“I told you that already” you interrupted tilting your head and narrowing your eyes at him. “Last night when you interrupted me”.
“He also tells me you are brazen, stubborn and headstrong but that the sea calls to you” he continued unfazed by your words.
“Well he must be quite the spy himself if he gleaned all that from one conversation and followed me most of the way home” you conceded, shrugging indifferently as you looked around the room. A large bed sat against the windows, its canopy made up of more dark heavy fabric that probably helped to muffle the sound of the waves at night, papers and books littered all the other flat surfaces and large paintings of sea creatures covered the walls. One painting on the wall lit up with its own lamp caught your attention, not just for the overly ornate gilt frame but because it was something you were sure you had seen before perhaps in a dream or in a book. It was of a woman, her face hidden in her reddish hair in a simple white gown that had been painted as though she was simply suspended underwater.
“He should have said infuriating” the captain clapped back bringing your attention to him once more.
“You haven’t even introduced yourself why would I owe you anything more than what I am giving you, Seonghwa at least has manners” you mutter looking up at the large ornate ceiling that is decorated with vivid images of sea monsters. A kraken looming ominously above the desk.
“I’m Captain Hongjoong, this is my navigator navigator Jongho and my medic Yunho” he nodded to the two men in turn “I apologize for my poor manners would you grant me the grace to start the conversation again” his voice was resigned but held an air of annoyance.
"Do you like my ship?" he asked, tilting his head as he scrutinized you for the second time in 24 hours.
"She's very impressive, but I still do understand why I'm here Captain Hongjoong" you tilted your head in return not letting your eyes drop from his.
"Seonghwa says you are called to be the sea, is that true?" he continued narrowing his eyes slightly, the others who you had seen and a couple who you hadn't had managed to all make their way into the room sitting or leaning in various places but all looking at you. You stood silently mirroring his posture unconsciously as you weighed up your answer.
"Has this got anything to do with that?" you pointed your thumb in the direction of one of the paintings hung on the wall with scraps of paper pinned around it. "Because I find peace by the ocean but I am no sea nymph".
Hongjoong glared at the painting on the wall, not answering you immediately. The silence strained and became more intense as the seconds passed by. His crew looked almost nervous as they looked between each other and then back to their captain.
"But yes the sea calls to me" you added quietly, making Hongjoong's eyes widen as they snapped back to your face, the frustration in his expression melting away to reveal a look of awe.
"What does it say?" he breathed almost inaudibly.
"Home" you murmured, feeling Seonghwa's hand find your back as you swayed slightly, the ship beginning to rock beneath your feet.
"We will not hurt you" Hongjoong instantly stood his chair scraping noisily against the wooden floor "No one on this ship would ever cause you harm you have my word I know it must be telling you otherwise".
Danger child, he is a danger
"Why would you ever harm me? I'm no one, not even worth a ransom" you looked up again meeting his eyes, your head suddenly swimming like you had been drinking absinthe again. The words circling your brain continuously. "How do you know what she says?".
"Hwa" Hongjoong yelled but you had closed your eyes, or maybe the lights had gone out but either way you felt something hard and warm crash into your front before your face hit the floor. The room was not only spinning but raising and falling the sensation making your queasy.
"Thanks San" Seonghwa's faint voice echoed in your head before you could no longer hear.
"The fuck just happened? Is she dead?" Mingi blurted, looking bewildered as San scooped you into his arms and moved you towards the captain's bed as carefully as he could as the ship rocked violently.
"Does she need a doctor or do you think you can manage?" San whispered to Yunho who was already checking your pulse in your wrist.
"She's breathing and her heart rate is normal, if she doesn't wake up in an hour maybe" Yunho hummed, placing the back of his hand on your forehead "Can someone bring me some water?". Jongho dashed from the room as quickly as he could trying not to trip on anything that had fallen from the captain's desk as the sound of books falling to the floor thudded behind him.
"I can't be the only one confused about her knowledge of the painting though right? You said that it was a one off original, that it was incredibly unknown which is why it had to be stolen" Wooyoung sounding more hysterical than he probably wanted to. "How would she know about it! and why is it so fucking rough right now?".
"She could be mistaken but she knew it was about sea nymphs" Yeonsang added, squeezing Wooyoung's shoulder to keep him calm while pressing themselves against the wall so they had something to hold onto while the turbulent movements of the ship unsteadied them.
"The diary said it had been hidden for more than 150 years, that no one had laid eyes on it in almost 100 of those years. She looks like she's not even 25". Seonghwa furrowed his eyebrows confused by the whole thing, the swinging overhead lamp throwing bazaar flashes of light over them all.
"She's going to wake up in a second stop being so loud" Hongjoong grunted holding the edge of his desk knowing that the rest of the ship would probably be a complete mess from the short burst of waves.
"There you are" San smiled softly, his eyes creasing up as your eyes fluttered open.
"You had us worried for a second there" Yunho joked, his voice soft as he placed a wet cloth against your forehead Jongho still holding the bowl of water so it wouldn't spill everywhere.
"I'm sorry?" you mumbled your voice sounding far away even to your own ears.
Safe keep you safe
"You fainted" Yunho smiled, his voice still soft as he continued pressing the cloth against your skin he watched your breathing for a moment before dipping the cloth back in the water "Can you sit up or would you rather roll on your side? I need to put this on the back of your neck".
"Are you a doctor?" you blinked slowly trying to lift yourself from the soft thing you were laying on "Did I hurt anything when I fell?".
"San caught you so no you have no injuries" Yunho nodded to San who took hold of each of your wrists slowly pulling you into a sitting position while Yunho placed the cloth on your neck.
"Thank you San" you murmured weakly, noticing a pink flush dust his cheekbones.
"What happened? Did you hear anything before you fainted?" Hongjoong asked from his desk where he remained leaning against the shiny dark wood. You continued blinking slowly, registering that you were lying on his bed in the same room as they were all in with you moments ago.
"That's none of your business" you swallowed shakily, turning to look back at San who looked openly worried at the way your arms trembled in his hands. "I would like to go home now".
"Not until we know you won't faint the moment you stand up" Yunho soothed wetting the cloth again "can you hold this against your chest please? I can close the curtain so no one can see you".
"Please" you whimpered watching San lean across to pull on the fabric for Yunho.
"Do you want me to leave?" San whispered his voice was soft watching you fumble with the lacing at the top of your tunic.
"No it's alright" you half smiled, feeling your face heat up as Yunho moved your hands away, his long fingers deftly untying the knot and loosening them enough to slip the cloth under without exposing you.
"I need to get off this ship" you mumbled meekly looking up at Yunho then to San tears beginning to prick at your eyes.
"I will carry you off myself if I have to" San continued whispering to make sure only you heard him. "But you need to feel less overheated and look less pale first".
"Woo, can you get me some candy? Sweets might help her feel better" Yunho called through the thick dark burgundy fabric causing shuffling and noise to erupt on the other side after another few minutes of silence a hand thrust through the fabric holding a bag of what looked like marshmallows.
"Eat a few please, the sugar should help" Yunho hummed.
"Thank you mystery candy baring hand" you called hearing a loud bark of laughter follow your words. After half a dozen marshmallows Yunho placed his hand back against your forehead nodding to San who pulled open the curtains for you.
"Try standing slowly" Yunho instructed, standing in front of you as San remained behind you. Your legs felt a little shaky but nothing too bad as you placed your weight on them bouncing on your toes softly. "Good I think you will be alright now".
"Thank you for your help Yunho" you smiled, relieved that you would be able to get as far away from their captain as you could.
"I'll take you back up to the deck if you want" San looked hopeful as you turned your head to look at him.
Safe be safe
"Please San" you murmured ignoring the others as questions started being thrown in your direction.
"Will you come again?" Seonghwa's honey voice poured into your ear.
"I don't know" you looked at him keeping your voice as level as you could "I was nice to meet you all".
San led you towards the deck with Yunho following you both just to be safe as you slowly descended the gangway you felt a surge of relief come over you like water pouring from a bucket over your head. Picking up your pack which you had stowed behind some creates you fished out your apple biting into it before looking back up at the ship. San and Yunho were still there although now the others had joined them looking almost ominous as their silhouettes stood tall against the light behind them. Nodding once you walked back along the dock the salty air blowing your messy hair around you.
"Well that went shockingly bad" Seonghwa sighed leaning against the railing as they watched you disappear between the other ships.
"Oh yeah the only thing that would have been worse was if we kidnapped her" Mingi rolled his eyes.
"She will never set foot here again" Jongho laughed, nudging San who looked slightly confused.
"I've never seen you that soft before what happened?" Wooyoung quizzed rounding on San who just shrugged before leaving to return to his cabin knowing damn well it would be a mess from earlier.
"You had to see that the waves came and went depending on her though right?" Hongjoong insisted.
"Yeah but I don't think it will be easy to convince her to come with us. She seems desperate to be away from us, well some of us" Seonghwa conceded watching San's retreating figure.
"Well we will just have to convince her then" Wooyoung bounced cheekily smirking at them before scampering away after San.
You decided on the walk back you would stop into the apocathary to see if Salvia had anything that could quell the unease that you were still feeling. The bell rang loudly as you stepped inside the calming scent of dried herbs and lavendar filling your lungs as you walked towards the counter.
“Via?” you called stepping around the counter and towards the back room. “It’s me”.
“Little possum what are you doing here? You aren’t working today” Salvia blinked looking at you through the steam of the large pot she was boiling.
“I know, I’m just feeling really weird so I wanted something to make it go away” you continued peering into the large brass pot to find an interesting combination of plants and muslin bags tied with string.
“Hair tonic” Via explained as she stepped towards you her hand outstretched to feel your face “What are your symptoms?”.
“I feel nervous, queasy, and hot” you listed as she scrutinised you “Oh and my legs have been shaking like I’ve been running for hours.
“Hmmmm” Salvia hummed looking puzzled for a moment before going over to one of her store cupboards and pulling out a box marked with large red letters. “Take two bags in a cup of tea now, then before bed. It’s probably your moon time that’s causing it”.
“But I’m not having that right now” you swallowed as she bustled to the stove to lace the kettle on the heat and get you a mug.
“No but it will probably start soon and this is common before it in a lot of women” she smiled softly picking up the teabags and placing two in a bag for you and two in the waiting mug.
“You are a life saver Via” you smiled crookedly “You should put that on the sign Salvia the Savior”.
“That might get us more customers” he nodded sagely before pouting the water from the now whistling kettle into you cup to let it seep.
“So what’s with the pirates at the dock?” you asked as casually as you could “That ship is gigantic”.
“I would steer clear of the docks for the time being” Salvia warned seriously “That crew is infamous for their cruelty and violence”.
“Hold on why would pirates like that be in our town?” you frowned “what could they want with anyone here?”.
“Could be just suppliess, could be looking for a place it hide. It’s not important. They are murderers for hire who have no humanity” Salvia almost spat as she glared at the brewing tonic.
“It’s alright Via, I’m not planning to run away with the pirates I just didn’t even know they were there until I saw the massiv ship” you blurted quickly hoping that she would calm back down and let you finish your tea without a full lecture.
“I know you’re a good girl” Salvia conceeded smiling at you in a very motherly fashion “now take your tea and I’ll see you tomorrow”.
a/n: Thank you for reading my lovelies. I have recently struggled to find any motivation to write and it has been hard but hopefully after Christmas and a proper rest period I will be back to my normal self. As always your likes, reblogs, comments and encouragement mean so much to me xx

WARM RAYS OF SUNSHINE SHONE GENTLY THROUGH THE LARGE WINDOW, ALLOWING YOU TO WAKE UP IN PEACE.
You slowly opened your eyes while you stretched your arms up from underneath the blankets, a smile making its way onto your face as you felt the arm draped over your stomach move you closer in his tight grip.
Turning, you met your boyfriend’s squinting eyes. Clearly, he'd just woken up too. He dropped his head in the crook of your neck and placed a kiss underneath your shirt on your bare shoulder— a silent good morning.
You'd just woken up and you already felt giddy. You moved your hand to the mattress next to you, searching for your other boyfriend’s warm body.
Your eyes opened fully, head snapping to his usual side of the bed when you realize he wasn't there. A small storm of worry brewed in your chest as you nudged your present partner, who seemed close to going back to dreamland.
He whined a bit and it took every bone in your body not to coo at him. You managed to get over your cuteness aggression enough to ask.
“Yunho, honey, where is Mingi?”
He was the early bird in your relationship after all. If anyone would know, it would be Yunho.
To your surprise, he didn't.
“I don’t know? Maybe in the kitchen? Bathroom?” He slurred, clearly not feeling the same sense of urgency as you yet.
“M’kay. I’m gonna look for Mingi. I’ll be right back.” You ruffled his already messy hair before removing yourself from his comfortable grip. The movement only caused more whining from the sleepy giant.
Yunho heard you make your way through the apartment. Your bare feet making a rhythm of soft steps on the linoleum floor, and your groggy but comforting morning voice called out Mingi’s name over and over again.
Your voice got more and more nervous with each call of his name ringing out with no response.
When you walked back into the bedroom, Yunho was sitting cross-legged on the bed with his phone in his hands. He gave you a worried look, the gravity of the situation finally catching up with him.
“Nothing?” He asked.
You fell back on the bed with a sigh as you shook your head no, racking your brain for where your boyfriend could possibly be at nine in the morning on the weekend. You felt Yunho reach over and gently push some hair out your face in an attempt to calm you down.
“I tried texting him but I got no answer either.”
Just as you were about to respond, a sharp feeling washed over you, knocking the wind out of your lungs.
You knew what that feeling meant. It only happened when your soulmate was experiencing a strong emotion. It could range from heartbreaking sadness to mind boggling happiness to excruciating pain.
You jumped up, clutching the arm that has Mingi’s soulmate mark on it. Your eyes met Yunho's.
“I think Mingi is in trouble!”
Tumblr media
SADLY, A SOULMATE BOND did not include a GPS. At least, that was not the kind you were blessed with. That would have saved you the trouble of walking aimlessly through the town in your pajamas and winter coats.
Due to Yunho not being Mingi’s soulmate and your soulmate mark being basically sharing skin with Mingi, you were no further than when you left the house half an hour ago.
Yunho wrapped his arm around your shoulders, rubbing it in an attempt to shield you from the cold morning weather on the island. It was a sweet gesture. The growing panic heated your cheeks more then enough, but you appreciated the comfort of it nonetheless.
He stopped his brisk pace for a second and looked at you like a lightbulb went off in his head.
“Have you tried writing to him?” He asked.
You responded immediately by looking through your pockets for a pen or a marker, or anything that could stain your skin, but to no avail.
Yunho had the same luck. But he pointed you to the closest store, and without any words needed, the two of you rushed into the building, probably giving the poor cashier a heart attack.
“Excuse me, do you have a pen or something I could borrow? It’s an emergency!” You panted as her face contorted in confusion. She reached over next to her and handed you a pen anyway.
Before you could, Yunho quickly but gently raised your sleeve up, baring your arm for you. Despite the pressure, it made you want to giggle like a school girl. You kept your lovey-dovey feelings to yourself and began to write.
‘Song Mingi, where the hell are you?’
Normally, whenever you’d write something on your body and vice versa (left side for Mingi, and right for Yunho), the receiving party could felt a tingling sensation even before reading the message. You hoped with all your being that Mingi received that sensation right then too.
After staring at your arm for five minutes, you began to feel your heart speed up even more when you heard Yunho gasp from next to you as the letters you previously wrote where erased.
Finally, you felt the storm that had turned into a tornado in your heart calm down a bit, and the letters you wrote were replaced by messy yet familiar handwriting revealing Mingi’s location.
Tumblr media
THERE HE WAS.
Through the display window of the bakery, you and Yunho saw him.
Mingi clutched a colorful box while one of the village elders, Mrs. Yang, pulled on the other side. Both seemed to be in an intense battle as the baker behind the counter watched the two awkwardly.
The closer you got, the more it hit you; the sharp feeling you felt wasn’t sadness, anger, or pain— it was his sheer competitiveness.
Yunho held the door open and both of you stepped through with the sound of the bell signaling your arrival. The baker gave you a friendly nod, but neither Mingi nor Mrs. Yang seemed to notice you, still too fixated on arguing over what you now saw was a beautifully decorated cake.
“Song Mingi!” Your voice resounded through the store as you crossed your arms and raised an eyebrow at him.
The man in question immediately forgot about the cake and trailed towards you like a puppy. He looked at you and Yunho with big eyes full of confusion.
“Baby, what're you doing here? Gosh, both of you are wearing pajamas, aren’t you way too cold?” He asked, cradling your face in his hands.
He tossed Yunho a judgmental look as if suspecting he was the reason you guys were here.
The older man flicked Mingi’s forehead before shaking his head. “Don’t look at me like that. None of this would’ve happened if you knew how to answer your phone or leave a note.”
“Yeah, we were so worried something happened.” You grabbed his attention along with one of the hands that was still on your cheek.
Mingi looked down sheepishly, his cheeks slightly reddening.
“Ah, I’m sorry. You said you were craving cake yesterday so I wanted to surprise you and Yunho with cake as breakfast in bed.” He pointed behind him, doing a double take as the cake he was just ready to risk his life for was long gone.
A heartbroken expression made its way onto his face. He looked at the baker, who only chuckled.
“I’m sorry, man. You snooze you lose.”
The baker pointed outside, where Mrs. Yang was gleefully walking away from the bakery with the precious cake in her hands.
Yunho let out a boisterous laugh, clutching his stomach as you patted the pouting boy’s cheek. Though that wasn't to say you weren't trying to reign your own laughter in as well.
“It’s okay, Ming! It’s the thought that counts.”
After a couple more minutes of comforting Mingi about his lost battle, he finally agreed to get another sweet pastry (which Yunho demanded to choose as compensation for everything).
As you three walked out of the store, you didn’t feel a storm or a tornado brewing in your chest. You felt a lovely calm wash over you as both of your boyfriends linked hands with you, one carrying the box with a well-deserved red velvet cake in it on the way home.
All the worry was replaced in no time with a warm domestic sunrise growing in your heart, and you knew exactly who were to blame for that.

prompt ✧ reader with a drained social battery
characters ✧ itto, scaramouche, kazuha, xiao
warnings ✧ gn!reader , none!
a/n ✧ this has been in my drafts for MONTHS. finally posting cus i haven’t written in a week..
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ITTO
✧ doesn’t understand the concept of ‘low social battery’ , and since you weren’t in the mood to explain it to him, you’d have to cut the visit short and go home to sit in peace for a while.
“you’re going? where?” you felt awful after seeing the frown replace his happy smile he wore seconds earlier.
“i’m tired, im gonna go home, but i’ll see you tomorrow if you want.” you cringed slightly at the way his face fell even further. he reached forward and took your hand in his.
“aw man, but we were just getting started!” he pouted. a look of slight shock took over your features. just getting started? god, you’re already completely drained right now!
“i’m sorry, we can finish up tomorrow?” your tone was questioning, unsure if you should just stick it out to save his feelings, or go home to your private sanctuary. you had to admit, the latter sounded much more appealing.
a sigh left his lips before he lazily nodded, “okay, that’s fine.” he smiled once more before giving you a kiss on the forehead.
“i hope you feel better.”
SCARAMOUCHE
✧ completely understands, he hates unwanted company too. will take you to his private office away from the crowd of people and let you sit, alone or with him, he’ll let you decide.
“what?” you heard scaramouche ask, annoyance lacing his voice. you glanced over and plastered on a fake smile, “nothing, just tired i guess.”
you attempted to shrug it off, but he quickly grabbed your wrist and tugged you off into his office. you were a bit shocked, but mostly confused.
“stay in here, i can tell you’re uncomfortable,” he grunted, gesturing his head to his office chair, silently telling you to take a seat. you obliged and plopped down with a long sigh.
“you wanted to get out of there too, didn’t you?” you questioned, a small smile playing on your lips. when he simply replied with a curt nod, you let the room fall silent as you closed your eyes, attempting to gain some energy back. when you opened your eyes to glance at him, he was staring at you. a smile twitched onto your lips.
“thank you.”
KAZUHA
✧ he partly understands how you feel, but being on a boat, there isn’t a lot of quiet places to hide. he can easily recharge by sitting and simply staring at the ocean, peacefully listening to the bustle of people. but he knows that doesn’t work for you, so he tries to help the best he can.
“are you alright, love?” he quietly asked in your ear. your head snapped up as you halted your heads that were picking at your nails. you flashed him an uncomfortable smile before shrugging.
he gently took your hand in his and lead you to the storage unit inside the ship. it wasn’t completely quiet, you could hear people walking above you and the waves of the sea below your feet, but it was better than up there. you sat down on a crate with a grunt, relaxing your body. he stared down at you with a loving smile, pure adoration in his eyes.
“should i go so you can be alone for a little?” he gently asked. you raised your face to look him in the eye before shaking your head.
“no, please stay.”
XIAO
✧ understands better than anyone. you don’t even have to ask before he’s sweeping you off your feet and teleporting to a private place where you two can be alone.
“come here.” xiao gently tugged on your hand, pulling you towards him. you made a quiet noise of shock before making contact with his chest. his arms wrapped around you before a wave of warmth engulfed you and a flash of green and black invaded your vision.
you felt two taps on your cheek before your eyes opened, which you didn’t even remember closing. you looked around, taking in the scene of a beautiful spring right in front of you. the sound of the water and the trees moving from the gentle breeze made you break out into a smile.
you felt his arms loosen around your waist, letting you slip away and explore the new area. you took a seat on a rock near the water, looking around at the peaceful sanctuary. xiao stood behind you, watching you take everything in, your eyes full of wonder.
“is this okay?” he mumbled. you turned your body to him with a wide smile. blush covered his cheeks at the adorable sight.
“it’s perfect, thank you so much.”

Hello, I was wondering if you could make zenyatta and ramattra with Cyborg!Reader like genji, but their body glows if they have too much energy.
overwatch headcanons: cyborg!reader with Ramattra and Zenyatta
warnings: mentions of violence, trauma and such, a bit platonic and… ye, pretty much fine, nothing graphic
a/n: my love for Zen is 100% dear and platonic yet- well, you guys know. RAMATTRA!!!
will do them separately in the present game timeline and then together back in the monastery and… it’s past midnight here, my eyelids are heavy, but there’s no sleep in between me and writing fanfiction so, sowy for the mistakes ahead, I will correct them tomorrow!! anxiety kept me awake and obligated me to post as soon as I’ve finished, you know
btw!! thanks for requesting. I love to write it and I hope you also enjoy. (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)
OPEN FOR HEADCANON REQUESTS! Send yours here, but read rules first
Tumblr media
Ramattra
A Ravager was responsible for your body’s destruction, so it’s only natural you’re shaking on its presence
Back when it happened, omnics were still under Anubis’ control, so it’s not like you blame him or any other R-7000 for their doings
Still, you got these chills running down your spine now that you stand face to face to Null Sector’s infamous leader
But the thrill is even stronger when he proves all your believes to be wrong, being to one to extend a helping hand to prevent your body to overheat
As Genji, your parts were substituted with cybernetics: flesh, muscle and metal bounding into one thing to keep your alive
Though, you weren’t lucky to be shaped by doctor Ziegler’s careful hands, which lead to several problems, including the overheating itself, caused by your frenetic running while trying to escape Toronto during the Invasion
Ramattra saw you and couldn’t help but be… fascinated
You were not an omnic, so his helmets were useless, still you’re shaped in metal, no sight of skin showing. A human, without humanity’s resemblance
He caught your heartbeats, their rhythm more and more violent, growing exponentially as the glow from your cybernetics, a flashing red of warning
He’s so intrigued he founds himself kneeling in front of you, one hand reaching out while you press your back to the wall behind you; no way to run out of this
“Hush now. If I was to hurt you, why the ceremony?”
His words had logic, true, but fear was devouring you
The last time you were this close to a Ravager was the last time you still had much of your organic body parts
“I may be of help, if you let me”
What choice did you have anyway? If he didn’t kill you, your body would do the job alone
Ramattra escorts you to safety, and ironically it means the very ships vomiting killing robots a while ago
You stay in his workshop as it takes little time for him to figure out how to cool down your body, and the glow is long gone by the time he’s done
“Not an omnic, yet not fully human…  where do you find a place for one as yourself in this doomed world?”
Here’s the thing: you don’t
That’s why you accept his offer to stay, despite all of your fears
In the end, the hands who once destroyed you were the same who saved you from death
Tumblr media
Zenyatta
Omnics and humans coexisting peacefully was a metaphor to your own state: both human and machine sharing the same body, trying to not repel one another
A heart of flesh habitating a chest of metal, you tiptoed the lines between the two worlds, but you didn’t felt as part of any of them
Still, you find solace in the words of a monk by the name of Mondatta. He spoke of hope and understandment, of peace above the conflict. Without even knowing, he brought balance to your turmoil; past and present
But hope was a dangerous thing for the ones like you, if there was anyone else sharing the burden of a dreadful existence as yours
And you’re quick out of reasons since Mondatta’s death
You weren’t welcome among the omnics, and humans saw you as a freak. Any chance of normality was eradicated
As a last act of faith, you did Aurora’s peregrination to Shambali. You didn’t know what to expect, but surely the villagers near the monastery left a very bad impression
Along with the exhaustion, you entered the sacred halls with your cybernetics glowing red, a flash of the eminent chaos that would erupt if you’re not stabilized quickly enough
A monk comes to your aid, and by staring at his faceplate alone you can feel something different stirring within you. A long lost calmness tossing your circuits errors aside
You wouldn’t forget his name not even in a million lifetimes: Zenyatta, the one who offered you a place to rest after your journey, and the very first to be interest in you
His genuine interest, plus the care, was touching. No one ever did anything similar to you, not after Talon decided you could still be a soldier even without most of your body
Which led to you running away, not soon enough to prevent Doctor O'Deorain  from damaging your body though. Another monster carefully constructed to be Talon’s pawn, no matter how much pain came from it
But you’ve already paid the price for your mistakes, and one thing is for sure: you’re no monster
Among the monks, you could feel that familiar peaceful feeling lingering under your skin, resonating through the circuits of your cybernetics
For once, you did not felt cast aside, most thankful to Tekhartha Zenyatta
His harmony orbs helped to regain a balance you thought to be long lost, and not only: the chaos within you, something you tried to ignore, was embraced as it should be also cherished
“No living being is completely pure, nor completely evil. We’re both our strengths and flaws: to deny one existence in detriment of other is to deny yourself.”
Even the worst of you was forgiven; by him first, and you last. Where you felt shame for your wrongdoings, Zenyatta pathed a lesson that erased your doubts
Through meditation, you found not only peace with your inner self, but with the world surrounding you
The balance of energy through your body presented you with a new glowing: not the crimson red of tiredness and rage, but a warm yellow that irradiates warm as a small sun; the energy of the Iris found you
“My dear friend, I bathe in the light of your soul. May it keep us sheltered during the dark times ahead of us.”
Tumblr media
Ramattra & Zenyatta
When the brothers found you, they first thought you were an omnic
Judging by the people screaming around you, tossing stones, displaying the worst of their violence and, of course, the fact your whole constitution was pure metal
It’s only when they take you to the monastery that they knowledge the other side of your face, the one that’s still flesh
No questions were asked, but none of them are naive. Being a cyborg meant something, and this something tiptoed around the lines of violence
And despite it all, cyborgs are quite rare. Especially ones glowing as you did, with your joints pulsating with energy
It was easy to distinguish your humor by the light radiating from your body: usually soft, it could be oversaturated when your humor reached peaks, transiting through a rainbow of colors depending on what you had in your mind
At first, a light tone of red flashed whenever they approached. Despite being your saviors, you still felt a bit of distrustfulness towards them
Humans saw you as an aberration, and you did not have too much time with sentient omnics to put their behavior to test. Not that you felt inclined to do so. To deal with humanity’s rejection was enough
Zenyatta was patient, but Ramattra… no metal in this world could undo the fact you were a human. And he also had his share with humanity to know how incredible terrible they can be
That’s why, maybe, it’s easy for you to approach him
Ramattra resented humanity, despite his best efforts to find harmony through his want for peace and his desire for revenge. Not that you had the guts to do anything but lament over your own dismay, but… you could relate
Zenyatta, on the other hand, touched your deepest cravings for being a better person, standing above those who abused you. You did not wished for violence, despite your rage: to be comprehended was your key
And both of them did it, in their own way
Through your days in Shambali, you felt part of their brotherhood. Not exactly as such, but… cherished. Each of them bonded with you in their own unique way, understanding your pains, your dreams, your wants. Piece by piece, the three of you found a way together
Now, whenever you meditate with Ramattra, concentrating the energy flow in your body, a glowing purple flashed through your cybernetics. But with Zenyatta, a deep golden color showed itself
And that’s why you could never choose. Your love for them was measured equally: if cut in half, one part would still be of Ramattra, and the other would belong to Zenyatta
So when Ramattra leaves from Shambali, and both you and Zenyatta decline his offer to follow his path off the Monastery, there’s no way from you in the opposites side, but through the middle-term
You still dream of the day you three will meet again. For the good or for the bad, you missed them for a lifetime, and to be separated brings up this feeling all over again
Now, whenever you concentrate your energy, it’s grayish: devoid of color, deepness and light

Helloo, I could make a request about Liam, where the reader and he are part of the band (I don't know what instrument he would play, so you choose it) where they are the cliché of polar opposites (she really doesn't like the typical rock star life at all) but they still form a very good couple since they have known each other forever. That it's a bit problematic at first, but I then end up with something very romantic in the style of Liam:))
Midnight Rain
Liam Gallagher x bass-player!reader
Summary: in which, opposites attract and similarities pull them closer.
Warnings: cursing, fluff, angst,
I hope you like how it turned out!
Wordcount: 1.2k
Masterlist
Tumblr media
If anyone would’ve asked him, what his ideal girl would be like, Liam would answer with the same thing for years. She should be like him: crazy, famous, wild. Someone people feel gravitated to the moment they see them. Someone people take notice of the moment they walk into the room. Someone people pay attention to. Though, every time she walked in somewhere, or stood on stage with her bass hanging from her body, the only person who couldn’t stop looking at her was him.
Liam fucking Gallagher.
The one guy she should’ve avoided for the ship of her peace to go smooth sailing, though when the boy had his eye set on something, he wouldn’t let it go so easily.
Having discovered the girl, along with her love for music and the bass, back in school, it gave him enough time to figure out that she was more than the empty spot amongst their group in a full bar or the one hiding in the back of award shows. She was more than what the media made her out to be, way more.
To him, she was the whole night sky. Always so quiet and reserved, not waking you to be looked at, but still so exciting to admire. Constellations forming in her eyes when they walked home from the studio late at night and she threw her head back in exaggeration as Noel went to some drug store to buy a new pack of cigarettes. She wasn’t high, but she looked like she was having the time of her life when everything seemed divine and at peace. Something Liam never thought he was able to achieve, the one thing that stood between them and his feelings for her.
“What you thinking ‘bout, love?” He asked finally, as they were standing backstage, his fingers gently gracing hers. Watching her stare out into the crowd for a good five minutes brought him over the edge, making him edge closer to her and share his thoughts in whispers.
“Just nervous,” she answered, tearing her gaze from the mass and to him. Him and his fucking smirk laying on his lips like he couldn’t believe her words, like he would mock her every second, telling her that it was nothing new for them and that she shouldn’t act that way.
“You’re gonna be great, don’t worry.” His words caught her off guard, her heart hammering in her chest. Never having heard his voice that soft made it impossible for her to concentrate on the people cheering for them, waiting for them.
She nodded but didn’t say another word about the topic, waiting for their name to be announced and the crowd freaking out once more as soon as Liam came on stage. His confidence ever present and it only became more visible the longer he was stood in front of all those people cheering for him. Watching him only made her admire him more and over time, she had to mentally keep herself from looking up from her fingers or else she was sure she wouldn’t look away from him.
The night in February still playing in her head even now in July. The night at the studio had been particularly long that night and as she found herself walking home with only Liam by her side at 4 in the morning, she couldn’t help but ask if he wanted to crash at hers for the night. Her apartment had always been cold, but it never bothered her. Especially not when Liam came into her room five minutes after she laid down herself and crawled under her blanket like a helpless child. ‘How are you not dead yet?’ he asked her, taking her warmer body in his arms and cuddling her closer. ‘My blood is warmer than yours, I guess.’ ‘Maybe it’s colder.’ ‘Then warm me up.’
They hadn’t talked about it ever since, but she knew he remembered how he fell asleep next to her and how he woke up alone the next morning, the apartment empty, only a note left behind for him to read. Seeing her later in the studio, not gracing him with even a glance his way.
She knew he remembered when he looked over at her, catching her gaze one final time before taking his nerves together and making his way over to her, Noel watching him critically form the other side of the stage. He knew, of course he knew. He knew his brother and he knew how he acted when he fancied someone, he just hoped this wouldn’t backfire at the whole band and their future in the process.
Liam made his way over to her, microphone in hand, smirk lingering on his lips as he saw the nervous look form in her eyes. Hovering above her, the rest of the world seemed to fade away, leaving only their bodies to co-exist. Souls entangled with one another. Hooking his finger through one of her belt loops as she tried stepping away from him, just to pull her closer once more, he tried not to laugh when she played a wrong note. Winking one final time before he stepped away first, walking away like nothing happened, ignoring the screams of the people watching.
“What were you fucking thinking, man?” Noel asked, walking closer to Liam, who was already getting himself a drink. The weight of his action still not crashing down on him. “Do you know what you just done?”
“Gave them a little show,” Liam shrugged.
“That’s all?” Noel kept on pushing him closer to the edge.
“That’s all.”
“Well, is it still all, when it’s all over the fucking news tomorrow? Do you know what that’ll do to Y/n when she’s in the spotlight all of a sudden because you couldn’t fucking behave properly once again?”
Looking over his brother’s shoulder and around the little space they were all cramped in, Liam couldn’t find the girl anywhere. “Where is she?”
“Where’s who?”
“Y/n, you dumb fuck.”
“Went outside before even coming in here, I believe,” Bonehead answered.
“Thanks man,” Liam answered, patting his shoulder as he brushed past the group. “Only one still thinking straight.”
Running outside, he started looking around the patch of field that was near them. On one of the hills, looking out into the sunset. Her back turned towards him, still when he walked up, his feet heavy on the ground like always, she didn’t need to turn around to know that he was gonna sit down next to her. Following her gaze and watching the sunset with her.
“Is that how it’s gonna be now? One’s gonna lead the other on until they’ve got close enough just to walk away then,” she asked, picking at the skin of her fingers.
“I didn’t start it,” he simply said, shrugging his shoulders.
“I’m sorry, alright? What I did was shit, still it doesn’t mean you had to do the same.” Her voice was growing louder, the desperation in her words evolving with every syllable. “I actually like you, Liam. If this is all some silly chess game to you, please tell me now so I can still run far enough away from it.”
“Don’t run.” It sounded almost like a plea dripping from his lips like honey. “For once, please don’t run from me.” His hand went up to her face, brushing a strand of hair out of her eye before resting his palm on her cheek.
Pulling her in, their lips met for the first time. Filling both

Sanji x gardener!reader
Warnings: Fluff, confession, angry reader (just for a moment) fem reader
Word count: 1,944 words
Summary: In which Sanji confesses his love for you but you don’t understand what’s happening. From my gardener!reader series but can be read as a stand alone
˖°𖡼.𖤣𖥧𖡼.𖤣𖥧.𖡼.𖤣𖥧𖡼.𖤣𖥧
“Are you afraid?” Yo dropped your pencil, turned eyes wide and a gasp escaped your mouth “Robin you scared me half to death!” You collected the pencil from the floor as the woman sat in front of you with a coffee mug in hand “Are you?” You looked at her puzzled “Afraid of what?” Robin motioned her head to where you were once glancing before she made you jump in your seat, the cook serving an afternoon drink to Nami “Sanji?” You laughed “The only man that scares me a little in this ship is probably Zoro” you said while looking back at your notebook “I meant, are you afraid to love, y/n?” Robin asked while pointing at the sketch of the blonde you had made beside your annotations. Red colored your face, hands sweaty “Quite the contrary actually… but him” you glanced at Sanji again as he swooned around the annoyed navigator “I don’t think he likes me the way I do, I just happen to be a woman and he happens to love them” the black haired woman giggled as you looked at her confused once more “If you allowed to open yourself to him, I’m sure you’ll change your mind…”
So you did
You talked and talked to Sanji, spending time together, flirting back every now and then even if it made you mad nervous and making sure he noticed how you’ll treat him differently from the rest, you were patient, understanding and caring. Of course he didn’t stop being a huge flirt with every single woman he’ll stumble upon on, but he did something more meaningful for you , he made you a space in his heart. He would tell you about his dream, his passions, his past and just all about him, parts no one else saw but you, as well as he saw parts of you one else did, and eventually Sanji realized that love wasn’t always loud and over the top, love was looking at your person and feeling safe, warm and at peace. So yeah maybe he would skip and spin while serving Robin a coffee and would make heart eyes whenever Nami addressed him, but with you, he was himself and nothing else.
“Are you coming to the Island?” You were leaning in the door frame of the kitchen, Sanji jumped, he was seated at the counter with a cooking book in hand absolutely lost in thought “Oh Flower! Didn’t see you there” he closed it immediately as he saw you standing in the room “No dear I… I’m staying to keep watch on the ship!” You frowned.
This last week the cook had been acting quite strange, whenever you wanted to initiate a conversation he would cut it short, whenever your hands brushed he would back up, his eyes wouldn’t even cross your way. This was absolutely weird behavior considering you two were considerably more close than anyone in the crew, you hoped to talk to him about the matter during a walk around the Island “But you always restock the fridge” you walked closer which made him flinch “I gave the stupid moss head the list of things we need, I’ll wait here!” a piercing silence filled the room, he felt distant “Sanji what’s wro-“ you were loudly interrupted by Luffy who barged in “Y/n!!! Are you coming or not?”
“Yes, I guess I am”
Did you smell? Did you said or do something wrong? Did you looked uglier? Was there something different? Was he bored of you? He was probably all this time super sweet to you for mere entertainment right? A million questions overwhelmed you, you just couldn’t place what had possibly changed between you two.
“Y/n? Are you even listening?” After buying new plants and seeds for the garden, you decided to join Nami and Robin at the local boutique, you needed a distraction but it seemed you were the one distracting yourself “Is there something wrong?” Robin asked quite worried, you shook your head and tried to brush it off but your hands grew green moss and sharp roses, you couldn’t hide your emotions even if you tried. The two girls shared a look, they respected your decision to not talk about the matter and they were not gonna pressure you to say anything you didn’t want to “How about we find you a new sundress?” Nami smiled your way “Nah, I’m a gardener, dresses are not very practical”
But you underestimated the navigators persuasive abilities, now you had tried 6 dresses already, none of them convincing enough for your friend. You heard Robin’s muffled laugh coming form outside the dresser “I had never seen such a serious hunt for a dress” you sighed “Tell me about it” yet another dress appeared hanging in the door behind you “Ow c’mon you guys this is fun! I’m having fun” Nami defended. You tried on the next dress and for your surprise it planted a smile on your face, it was red and it tied with a delicate bow in the front, giving apace to show all the beautiful jewelry you always wore around your neck, with short princess like puffy sleeves with an opening in the side of your legs that showed a white fabric with red flowers under it. As you came out of the dresser and spinned around for your friends, it was like you had completely forgotten about the cook “I am amazingggg” Robin clapped at Namis incredible styling skills “Are you sure you still want to be a pirate?” You asked her, smile wide “I can be a pirate AND a stylist” she winked
You decided to head back to the Sunny, inevitably insecurity made its way trough your stomach, you still weren’t ready to face Sanji about whatever the hell he had going on. You arrived and to your surprise there was no sight of him, you thought he was keeping an eye on the ship… you payed it no mind and went to your room to cool off for the day. After putting your shopping away, you decided to slip on the red sundress and have a little picnic by yourself, picking the fresh fruit from your garden and reading while sitting in the sunset sounded like a perfect plan for you… but it seemed like someone beat you to it.
As you walked closer to the garden delicious smells filled your senses, it made you close your eyes in enjoyment and took in a big breath, confused but curious you looked for the source of the smell. There standing next to two beautiful plated dinners in a picnic blanket, a rose and a candle in the middle of the food and drinks already poured in was Sanji, who played with nervous hands with the ring you had gifted him that now hanged form his neck. He looked handsomely dressed in coincidentally a red satin shirt, buttons loosened up, sleeves were up showing his strong arms, formal black pants and he had gelled his hair back enough to show both of his ocean blue eyes that enchanted you and most importantly no cigarette in sight! “Sanji? What the hell is happening?” The blonde cook surely didn’t expected you to show up in such a beautiful dress, mouth agape he stuttered “I.. uhm” you got closer and dismissed the book in your hands, now you really could witness how nervous the man was, cheeks and ears red and shaky breath.
You looked… upset? confused? Sanji couldn’t place the look in your face, he was already nervous looking at you and now he felt sick as he witnessed your brows scrunch together at his sight “I made this for you” was all he could let out, but you couldn’t even look at the scenery as you frantically searched for his gaze “Are you serious?” You let out a sarcastic laugh “You really think I’m just gonna ignore the fact you suddenly started to avoid me like the plague and was just overall rude to me just because you did a picnic for me?!” What? “What?” He didn’t understand what was happening, him rude? To you? That sounded atrocious. All around you the plants in the garden grew and surrounded your figure “I am not just one of your lady friends thats gonna fall for your stupid games Sanji. If you really think you can just ignore me because you got bored of me and then try and win me back with a flirty date night you’re out of your mind”
Then everything clicked in the cooks mind, he had indeed messed up. He had been planing this whole thing for so long, down to every last detail that being around you made him nervous and he would’ve quite probably spoiled everything, so he didn’t notice how to you, who had no clue about what was happening, his behavior may have came across as rude. You shook your head, you didn’t even wanted answers anymore “This is stupid” as you tried to turn around and leave, Sanji stopped you by pulling your wrist which made you stumble into his embrace; as he held you close you could listen to his heart and swore you could feel it against your own skin, it was pounding like crazy “It would be impossible for me to treat you like a simple fling my love, for me you’re my forever”
Now the one nervous and embarrassed was you, his voice echoed through his chest as you started to realize what was actually going on, the plants that once surrounded you now gone “I was so busy trying to make this picnic perfect for you that I didn’t notice how I was acting, the mere thought of you made my heart stop” you stepped back a little to look at his face, Oh~ “I’m really really stupid aren’t I?” You whispered as your face matched the color of both your garments, your head had played terrible tricks on you, the blonde just laughed “Sunlight, were both stupid” time seemed to had stopped around you, Sanji had positioned one hand in your lower back while the other held your face, yours intertwined with his chest. Suddenly everything seemed to make sense, you were supposed to he right there right in that moment; In the Sunny that held your dearest memories and favorite people, with waves that crashed in like an old tune, in your sacred garden your safe place, sunset shining from behind the man you had poured your heart out to making him look like a being of light and warmth, you had dreamt of this “You know what would be pretty stupid of us?” your lips brushed as you stand on your tip toes “If we didn’t kissed” you said before closing the space between you.
And finally you kissed him, like a so long awaited promise you had made yourselves finally coming true, your hands traveled to the back of his neck to deepened the kiss, as if you didn’t wanted him to run away. Your breaths danced with the breeze of the ocean as your hearts felt finally full, flowers bloomed from your head and hands inter-wining Sanji with you. You gasped for air and broke the kiss, your eyes immediately looking for one another, comfortable silence and sweet smiles in front of the sunset was all that could be heard, before Sanji spoke “Could you please break this spell you’ve casted upon me, and please be mine?”
“Yes, yes I can”
And finally you could confidently say that you are not afraid to love, as long as it’s him

The words “blood hungry Sanguinius” in your announcement post activated all of my neurons at once. Anyway request time, lemme lay the scene. Sanguinius is in an established relationship, she’s a diplomat or his seneschal, somebody of great importance to him both personally and professionally. The planet they’re currently Crusading™ has put up enough of a fight to be troublesome but peace talks are finally happening, which our dear angel’s beloved is the head of. Except not everybody wants peace. Sanguinius has been waging war on this planet, not everybody is gonna be a fan but people also aren’t stupid enough to just pick a direct fight with the 10ft tall dude who could chuck a spear into space. So they aim smaller, where they know it’ll still hurt. An assassination attempt is made on his beloved. It fails, mind you, but it was too close for comfort. She was hurt and suddenly the great angel isn’t feeling so angelic. He wants cathartic visceral payback and his sons couldn’t agree more. Now that kind of adrenaline-fueled murder rampage will get anybody’s blood pumping so once he gets back he’s headed straight for their room. Obviously he’s relieved that she’s fine, patched up and everything at this point but she still smells like blood and sweat and he just desperately needs to know she’s okay. Needs to hear her voice crying out for him rather than in pain, feel her pulse against his lips. Needs to lick the blood off her. It’s precious after all, he’d hate for it to go to waste (and crucially of course he has to erase the traces of that attack, only he is allowed to draw blood from his beloved, nobody else gets to do that and live)
Do with these brain worms what you will, Misty. Go nuts ❤️

Author’s note: Thank you for the fucking FOOD, friend. I hope you enjoy it, I tweaked a tiny bit just to make it flow better in my head because it was going to keep getting longer if I didn’t stop send help
Relationships: Sanguinius/Fem!Reader
Warnings: NSFW, semi-graphic depictions of violence in the beginning, Blood drinking/licking/vampirey stuff, fingering, If you squinted you could consider this dubious consent because making out after a near death experience probably isn’t the best trauma response but it’s 40k so whatever, Slightly Yandere Sanguinus also to be honest
Tumblr media
Sanguinus lets his perfect veneer fade for a moment, as he drifts off into thought. Tactical planning and logistics fade into the background, but Sanguinus can still comprehend it all and join back in a moment without anyone noticing.
She’s asleep right now, oh how I wish I could join her.
After a tense few weeks of failed diplomacy and eventual war, you needed rest; While Sanguinus needs such a thing much more rarely, he still wishes to join you. This whole debacle has been little more than aggravating to him.
While he is used to waging war like this, he knows you took this failed diplomacy as a failure for yourself. You’re still new to this, he knows it’ll fade with time but he wishes he could at least comfort you for a little while.
Though, this whole crusade has been less than what you all expected. Fierce electrical storms have made teleporting or even using Thunderhawks or smaller landers from the Red Tear to planet-side dangerous, so they’ve set up temporary base on solid ground while the war effort continues.
He hates the feeling of it; The nature of it being less secure. He knows you’re surrounded by Astartes, but these walls are old and they don’t know the landscape, or if this old fortress has anywhere to hide. This isn't their home territory, the safety of the cold, metal walls of the Red Tear and it's sister ship-
The door suddenly barges open, and in rush two blood Angels who's armor screeches as they freeze to a halt. It manages to startle Sanguinius somewhat, as his wings shift close to his body.
“Lord Sanguinus! Someone is attacking Our Lady!”
The sentence brings him to high alert even before they finish speaking and he’s already pushing past them to make his way towards you. He barely even notices the title they used for you, one that has only been said a handful of times as they slowly became used to your presence beside him.
Sanguinus is out of his armor at the moment, a rare time for him to stretch his wings and back after being in it for nearly a week straight, and the lessened weight makes his strides even faster as he races to you. His wings are tight to his body to avoid hitting anything or catching drag, and he hears the sound of bolters and ceramite plates crashing into weaker armor. He had them guarding the room at all hours, and as such was able to get alerted to the assassins- he assumes by their dark regalia and deftness- instantly.
“I want at least one alive! I want to know how they got past our perimeter!”
The first intruder he catches sight of has their shoulder blown away by a bolter shell before they could comprehend Sanguinus’ orders, and the second gets grabbed by an Astartes and yells in pain at the audible crack of bone. The third Sanguinus notices behind him and he batters him with the end of his wing, and an Astartes manages to obtain him by grabbing his neck. No matter how skilled they were, they stand absolutely no match to his sons. Even their advantage of surprise offered them nothing in the end.
Sanguinius eventually snags the last one and hands the wretch to his sons, and the lot are carried away.
They might be alive now, but once Sanguinus gets what he wants from them, they’ll wish they weren’t. Especially after he looks towards you.
Your sitting on the floor leaned against the wall, arms tight to yourself. He can see your thin nightdress is stained with blood at the neckline, and your arms also have small bits of blood. Your cheek has a small gash that’s growing a bruise around it, like it’s from a punch or slap.
You have an Astartes combat knife in your hands, blood soaking the blade. He knows you put up a fight despite the odds. It was probably you that alerted his sons.
He can hear them communicating amongst themselves, making sure the room and perimeter are clear. The assassins are removed and will probably get prodded around in by a curious techpriest in the future. He knew that a forward base such as this was a dangerous idea, and this only further cements it. Despite the meteorological issues.
Though his thoughts are on less immediate things, now that he knows you’re safe. His clears his throat slightly but the motion does nothing to distract him.
Something Sanguinius had learned in his younger years was that all blood is different; In taste, smell. Some of it is superior to others in those ways.
As while the room is soaked in blood, he can only smell yours.
“All of you check everywhere for any others. Leave us alone unless I call.”
The Blood Angels present hesitate to move, and their lieutenant speaks why. His helmet rests in his hands.
“Should we not stay to keep you both-“ Sanguinus turns to him and his voice is firm and unwavering.
“Go.”
The captain almost seems surprised, before placing his helmet back on. His men dip their heads for a moment and leave, closing the door and leaving the two of you alone.
The Primarch comes closer, lowering to his knee in front of you.
“You’re not hurt?” His hands grasp your shoulders, and you shake your head.
“No. Not badly enough to complain about at least.” Sanguinus lets out an audible sigh of relief.
He moves to let you stand, offering a hand you take for a moment. You move away to look into a mirror and splash some water on your face, wiping the blood away from it. It does nothing to cut the scent overwhelming the air that only he can parse.
“I’ve sent them to figure out how those men got in, and if there’s more.” You look up at him, before bending down to pick up one of his fallen feathers. He lost a few in the battle, as he does all the time. The Red Tear also has many strewn about in the places he frequents. You hold it in your hand and brush along the quill shaft, smoothing it. It’s a habit you’ve developed.
“Shouldn’t you go with them?” Sanguinus furrows his brow, confused.
“I want to stay with you, so I know you’re safe. And that you feel safe.”
The way you look up at him is worried; What could you possibly be worried about right now besides yourself? You were the one who was almost killed, because he was ignorant enough to bring you here, selfish because of his desire to keep you at his side. He kneels close to you, and tries to hold his breath as his mouth waters.
“What is it, my love?”
You look at him and continue holding his feather, seeing the way his eyes leer at you. You’ve seen it before, and it’s obvious why.
“Sanguinus, you’re hungry.”
How well you already know him, even after such a short period of time.
He gently cups a hand to the side of your face, before leaning inward.
“I’m sorry my love, I can’t help it, you’re like my own personal wine.”
His lips brush across your own, and he can suddenly taste the tiny droplet of blood from where your lip had split. You eagerly return his kiss and the desperation has you gripping him like a lifeline, as if your mind is finally catching up with what’s happened. He eagerly holds you back, his massive hands cupping your waist and swallowing most of it.
Before you know it, he has you in his arms, and he gently drops you onto the bed. It creaks and groans under the weight of him, but you’re little more than a feather to it.
He can see the cut across your collarbone; They must’ve tried to put a knife to your throat, and cut along below it instead. Your heart beat rushes just underneath it.
“Let me help you forget all of this ever happened,”
He whispers, half lost on the smell of your blood. You still feel almost stunned, like everything is a dream, but you’d never refuse him with how safe you always feel in his arms.
Sanguinus’ hands drift up your nightdress until it’s off of you, the stained fabric getting tossed aside.
He leans down to drag his lips along the cut of your collarbone, tongue sweeping away any traces of blood. The droplets that ran down your sternum get wisked away as well, his tongue traveling between your breasts.
He would hate to see it be wasted. The ones who spilled it and attempted to do worse will spill their secrets, and suffer for what they’ve done.
He’ll keep his head turned if they end up bloodless as well. His sons can sate their appetites on them and he’ll mind little.
Meanwhile you writhe underneath him, a hand on your shoulder holding you down while the other presses down close to your hip. Your free hand grasps at him, nails digging into his skin. He hears you saying his name, whispering it like a prayer, but he can barely hear it over the sound of your heart in his ears.
He can stay under control, but that doesn’t mean that you don’t test his willpower.
He loves to call you his wine; Though in some ways it’s almost as if you’re a drug he can never allow himself to have too much of, lest he get lost in it.
His left hand drifts closer and brushes over your hip, his massive palm dwarfing your smaller body. His fingers push between your thighs with ease, and he slips his fingers into your folds and hears the way you whimper at the soft touch. It isn’t long before they press against your entrance and slowly he teases one inside, before slipping in another once he’s readied you enough for it.
He feels the heat of your body as he presses his hand against you, all the while his face never leaves your neck. It’s an awkward angle for him at his overwhelming height, but he makes it work. His teeth ever so gently scrape across the pulsing vein of your neck where old scars from him lie, and he feels the way you shiver.
His fingers curl inside of you as his lips press hard against your neck, tasting every last little bit of blood until your skin is clear apart from the thin sliver of red.
He leans away and presses his lips to yours again, catching your bottom lip between his own. The cut on your lip had just stopped bleeding but his rougher kiss aggregates it enough to make it bleed just a tiny bit more, and you moan into his mouth as he tastes it.
Your hand desperately grasps at his own pressing against your shoulder, trying to grip his fingers and keep you grounded. He loves the way you writhe underneath him, earlier events completely forgotten.
He pulls way from your lips with a soft pop and his hot breath returns to your neck.
He wants to bite it so badly. It’s tormenting him, eating at him. But then he feels when he finally reach your peak, tightening around him and crying out to him in pleasure and not pain. It’s like music to his ears, after hearing your heart race so much in fear barely hours ago. To hear you call his name not to save you but to have him make you feel like this.
He pulls his lips away from your neck as you catch your breath. Another time.
His wings droop slightly, though even folded they take up so much space, shadowing so much more than just your body. They drop even more, and it almost feels like he’s trying to surround you with them and his body.
He gently pulls his hand from your folds but you feel his finger brush against your inner thigh, and the corners of his mouth twitch as you shiver and tense.
“I will never allow your life to ever be threatened again,”
He says, a part inside of him fuming at the fact it happened to begin with. He shouldn’t have been so presumptuous, careless, though deeper down he knows he did everything he could. He’ll do more now. His sons are becoming used to you, accepting of you, they’ll do it with no complaints.
You look up at him with soft, shining skin; Lips swollen. He wishes he could stay for longer, and take advantage of his time without his armor.
“Just don’t worry yourself into dropping feathers,” You joke and smile, voice slightly hoarse. He can still hear your heartbeat racing in his ears, but it’s calming down as you lay underneath him.
Sanguinus laughs and presses a kiss to the tip of your nose. He swallows down his only partly sated hunger for another time.
“I’ll try not to.”

The King's Hound Review
I recently had to go travel and read a few works that I never got around to reading but was interested in.
PLEASE REMEMBER THIS REVIEW IS DONE BY ME AS A READER AND IS MY OWN OPINION.
This means I will review in accordance to my own tastes, how the game caters to me, and what I feel. Do not take my word as gospel, what I may not be interested in or dislike, may be what YOU are interested and love!!!
@the-kingshound
Tumblr media
Synopsis:
You are the King’s spouse, his right and left hand, the unstoppable executor of his will. Your name is whispered by enemies and allies with fear and respect alike, some says it’s your arm that bears the weight of the entire kingdom.
They call you the King’s hound. It started as a way to taunt you but it’s not that far away from the truth. Your loyalty is blind, your devotion absolute. The King’s vision is your vision.
Your name will forever mark history alongside theirs.
But for now, you are being shipped to your betrothed, alone and powerless on your way to Camelot.
As the seventh child of the Venegard House, you’ve always had little to look forward to other than an arranged marriage to achieve a political alliance.
That’s exactly why, after your parents lost the rebellion against King Arthur, you were the one sent to him as a sign of newfound peace.
You don’t know what awaits you now, but after you Camelot will never be the same.
Review:
The Good: The project is 18+, and the writing is very well done. It just feels quality. Plus the UI and and dark background are classy. The game is Twine, so you get the save functions of Twine and all that jazz. Anyways, descriptions are well done, the worldbuilding is grounded and helps form the politics in-game. It's thought-out and noticeable. The player customization goes hard and you even get the option to play mute! In The King's Hound, you also find a game that provides the LGBTQ+ demographic and FemMC playing community a welcoming and acknowledging home. The descriptions of the fight scenes and battles (like action set pieces) are good and don't leave you scratching your head. The transitions between paragraphs and pages happen naturally and without breaking pace, which shows the talent of a writer that considers their audience. Also, in regards to the King Arthur mythos and worldbuilding done by the author, i just really appreciate the fact that Camelot is Welsh.
Tumblr media
It just gives me an idea of how much the author researched or cares about the mythos to give that respect of origin for the story. I had problems with how King Arthur was being super nice at first, but the author recently stated in a post that Arthur was acting in such a manner because he is deliberately trying to be the opposite of King Uther!
Tumblr media
And that in the future, the work will offer more text to reveal that to us, the player.
The Bad: I wouldve liked being able to marry a cousin, niece, sister, or even daughter of King Arthur (or genderbender him) but that is literally my only complaint as a straight dude tryna self insert. The author tells you explicitly that you are marrying the king. If the author decides not to, as is their right and vision, I have no problem whatsoever. I still think the work is well written, and has many elements that i personally fuck with (low fantasy, grounded narrative, adult themes) The fact that i wish the author could change this, is only because i like the work so much. Instead, in this playthrough King Arthur will find that the MC practices
Tumblr media
The Ugly: The MAP. But that's only because my history buff mind thinks of the British Isle when hearing these names and when i saw the map it physically gave me whiplash. But youre making your own version of the story, so bully!
Tumblr media
The Aftermath: I know this game isnt catered towards me as a straight dude. It is a proud queer game with quality writing, that'd also do really well for the FemMC readers. I would recommend this game to anyone who wants a low fantasy medieval setting, with good writing, and grounded narratives that isn't a straight dude's traditional power fantasy.
Next playthrough, ima be a mute straight girl thatll hoe around King Arthur's court out of sheer spite

Can you do one where mtmte bot buddy is perceptor easily scared younger sibling that has a crush on rodimus? Thanks for the help with how to inbox my request.
I've been noticing a trend with request for Rodimus lately. Our Co-Captain is getting some loving hours.
Hope you enjoy!
Perceptor's younger sibling who is scared easily with a crush on Rodimus
SFW, Romantic, Platonic, Familial, Cybertronian reader
MTMTE
Buddy had always been a jumpy bot.
Whether it be in the heat of the moment or in times of peace, something always had Buddy on edge about something.
“YYEEEP!”--Buddy
“What was it this time?”--Perceptor
“I thought I felt something on my pedes.”--Buddy
“Hmm.”--Perceptor
“Don’t ‘hmm’ me! I’m telling you I felt something on my pede and now its not there!”--Buddy
“Careful, you’re starting to sound like Red Alert.”--Perceptor
“Hey leave Red out of this!”—Buddy
“Yeah leave—”—Red Alert
“AHH!”--Buddy
“AHH!”—Red Alert
That being said, Perceptor is protective of his younger sibling.
He loves them, scaredy bot, and all.
He does try and help Buddy in his own ways by trying to rationalize everything, which helps them a bit, but too much.
Is willing to put a bot in their place if they try to make fun of Buddy for their jumpiness.
Primus forbid that someone does scare them with malicious intent.
He wasn’t a Wrecker for nothing.
Buddy had tried going to Ratchet or any other doctor or nurse to see if it was a medical problem.
“I don’t see anything bout of the ordinary here kid.”--Ratchet
“Nothing?”--Buddy
“Perfectly normal frame inside and outside. I think you just get jumpy too often. You can always go see Rung if it gets any worse.”--Ratchet
“Thank—”--Buddy
Whirl barging into the medbay.
“HAS ANYONE SEEN CYCLONUS OR PANIC BUTTON?”--Whirl
“Whirl! Please, you’re—”—Ratchet
THUNK!
Buddy passing out on the med slab with their spark beat going wild.
“Ohhh… Jumpy’s here.”--Whirl
“Yes…”--Ratchet
In the lab.
Perceptor looking up from his work.
“Is your Buddy sense tingling?”--Brianstorm
“Stop calling it that.”--Perceptor
“But it is!”--Brainstorm
“Brainstorm.”--Perceptor
“Perceptor.”--Brainstorm
Brainstorm saw this problem as a challenge and had asked Buddy if they were willing to be tested to see if he could solve the problem.
Buddy had never been raced out of the lab faster than at that moment.
“Brainstorm?”--Buddy
“Yes?”--Brainstorm
“Is this safe?”--Buddy
Buddy sitting on the lab table with several jumper cables clipped into their frame with a series of wires on their helm.
“Oh Buddy! Of course, it is relatively safe, in theory.”--Brainstorm
“In theory?”--Buddy
“Yes. Everything comes from a theory. Now whether this is a good theory is what we are about to answer now!”--Brainstorm
“Does Percy know?”--Buddy
“What he don’t, know wont hurt Buddy. Now let’s flip this—”--Brainstorm
“BRAINSTORM!”--Perceptor
“He sounds mad! What did you do!?”--Buddy
“Nothing!”--Brainstorm
“Brainstorm.”--Buddy
“Buddy.”--Brainstorm
“…”--Buddy
“… I may have locked him in the closet before I grabbed you from Swerve’s…”--Brainstorm
“…You know, for one of the smartest bots on the ship, you sure can make a dumb decision.”--Buddy
“What--”--Brainstorm
BANG!
Perceptor kicking down the lab doors with his snipper rifle in his servos.
“AAHHHHH!”—Brainstorm and Buddy
No mercy from Percy.
Their friend group had gotten used to Buddy’s jump scares after the first few times.
Sometimes they were the cause of it.
Buddy would always laugh it up in the end.
They would never take it too far so it was all fun and games.
But there was one thing on board that made their spark run faster than the scares.
Rodimus Prime.
The captain was going to be the death of them, they were sure of it.
The two got along great, which wasn’t the problem.
The problem was that Buddy liked the reckless captain.
“Has anyone seen Rodimus? He should have been here by now.”--Buddy
“Nope.”--Chromedome
“No.”--Rewind
“Haven’t seen you’re Conjux since this morning.”--Brainstorm
“Conjux?! Brainstorm!”--Buddy
“Don’t lie to me Buddy I’ve seen how you two look at each other. Everyone on the ship practically knows about it.”--Brainstorm
“Oh don’t tease them Brainstorm.”--Chromedome
“thank you—”--Buddy
“Its not their fault that they are both oblivious to each others feelings.”--Rewind
“You too Rewind?”--Buddy
“I’m getting sick and tired of watch you two pine over each other.”--Rewind
“Who’s pining?”--Rodimus
“GAH! Roddy, don’t do that!”--Buddy
“Hahaha! You know you can’t be mad at me.”--Rodimus
“…One of these days I’m going to get a spark attack because of you.”--Buddy
With their friendship the amount of reckless stunts had gone down.
Something Ultra Magnus was grateful for.
Buddy the ever worry wart always tried to talk their captain from doing many reckless activities.
Most times they would work, but that would usually mean that he would try to do another activity that was less of a threat without Buddy looking.
Rodimus trying to get off the ship to go meteor surfing.
“Rodimus!”--Buddy
“Shh! Megs will hear you!”--Rodimus
“And? You are in no condition to go meteor surfing! You just got out of the medbay from last expedition.”--Buddy
“And I’m fine!”--Rodimus
“Please…”--Buddy
“…Fine. But you have to help me with some of the reports.”--Rodimus
“Deal.”--Buddy
“After I go and flip over the captains chair!”--Rodimus
Rodimus jumping and failing to do a flip landing on his faceplate.
“Roddy!”--Buddy
“Hmmm?”--Rodimus
“Hang on I’m bringing you to Ratchet.”--Buddy
“Nooo… I don’t wanna.”--Rodimus
Buddy throwing him over their shoulder like a sack of potatotes.
“Too bad Captain.”--Buddy
Key word try.
Buddy watched him sometimes like a hawk.
The other times that Buddy wouldn’t be able to talk him out of the activity ended up with Buddy joining.
Those time Rodimus would smile that smile of his that could literally light up a room.
“How did I end up here?”--Buddy
“What do you mean?”--Rodimus
“Here!”--Buddy
Buddy latched on a cord dangling from the ceiling by their chassis.
Rodimus on the ground with his arms wide open.
“I must have my circuits fired to even say yes to this!”--Buddy
“Nope, I just asked, and you said ‘yes’.”--Rodimus
“I know!”--Buddy
“Relax Buddy its just a trust fall!”--Rodimus
“Yeah! But I didn’t think it was going to be from this height!”--Buddy
“It’ll be okay! Just let go!”--Rodimus
“Let go?!”--Buddy
“Trust me Buddy! You’ll be all right! Just trust me!”--Rodimus
Buddy saying one more pray to Primus before detaching from the chord, screaming on the way down.
Rodimus catching them nearly falling on the floor too.
“See! I gotcha—Buddy?”--Rodimus
Buddy passing out.
Perceptor knew about Buddy’s little crush on the Captain.
While he would have wish it be on another crew member, he supposed that Rodimus wasn’t the worst of them all.
After talking it over with Drift, Perceptor decided that it would be a good idea to actually talk to Buddy about it.
“Percy?”--Buddy
“Buddy.”--Perceptor
“What’s going on? We don’t usually have private talks like these. Wait! Did something bad happen to you?”--Buddy
“No, no, I asked you to meet me here to talk.”--Perceptor
“To… talk?”--Buddy
“Yes.”--Perceptor
“Okay, I’ll bite what did you want to talk to me about?”--Buddy
“Its about Rodimus.”--Perceptor
“What about him? Did some—”--Buddy
“Nothing happened to him…yet.”--Perceptor
“What?”--Buddy
“I noticed you and the Captain have been spending more and more time with each other. And if my theory proves me correst, you like him.”--Perceptor
“Umm… where did you—I mean, me and Roddy—I mean—”--Buddy
“Its okay.”--Perceptor
“What?”--Buddy
“I’m fine with you dating Rodimus.”--Perceptor
“Really! But doesn’t he annoy you? Especcially two days ago when he said ‘science is magic’. You nearly grabbed your riffle and made him into Swiss cheese.”--Buddy
“… Yes. I have taken that into account, but you are mainly going to be spending time with him. He wont be my Conjux, he’ll be yours.”--Perceptor
“Conjux!”--Buddy
“That was a joke.”--Perceptor
“It didn’t sound like it!”--Buddy
“How do you intend on telling him?”--Perceptor
“You’re just filled with questions aren’t you?”--Buddy
“I’m a scientist Buddy.”--Perceptor

You’re An Angel When You Sleep
Pairing: Trafalgar Law x reader
Content: angst, drowning, a little “off-screen” violence, hurt/comfort, near death experience
Word Count: 1.5k
A/N: literally wrote this in between classes so hopefully it doesn’t feel too rushed! not edited super closely yet, the grammar might be a little off. inspired by the song “Around The Bend” by Pearl Jam, specifically the last verse <3
Edited 2/28/24
Law is sinking, and there’s nothing he can do.
People call it “The Curse of The Sea.” They say that “she” turns her back on you when you eat a devil fruit. It’s simply the price to pay for such immense power.
And he has never had to worry about it before. His devil fruit ability affords him the security of being to prevent trips into the ocean. Not that he ever would fall- Law is far too careful a man- but he has plenty of crewmates and friends/allies that could somehow knock him overboard.
How sickening, that the first time it actually happened was at the hands of an enemy. And how disappointing, that it had only happened because of his own pride. A foolish disregard of taking caution while standing close to the railing on the enemy ship, when one of his opponent’s underlings threw something that didn’t even really hurt, but sent him overboard. In the midst of a battle where everyone was expected to hold their own- Law could expect no help as he plunged into icy waters.
It’s cold enough as it is, and his curse does nothing to help. He tries his hardest to stay conscious- perhaps he can still use his power if he thinks hard enough. People awaken their devil fruits all the time, so there’s no reason why he can’t do it now. But, no matter how badly he wants to simply teleport back to the deck of the ship, he can’t. The feeling of impending doom only serves to weaken his resolve, and soon enough Law is unwillingly giving up and giving in to the sea.
He’s about 10-12 meters down now. The weight of the water makes it feel nearly impossible to hold his breath for longer, so he lets out an exhale ever so slowly.
But no one is coming, and it’s time to accept his fate. “This is it,” he thinks, “just another pirate lost to the sea. That’s how it ends for me.”
He takes a moment to reflect on life up until now. So much pain and suffering, but in the end he just can’t stop remembering what little good there has been. His crew, who, no matter how much they bothered him, were his family. His blood family and Corazon, who he hopes to see again soon if there is any sort of afterlife. Then there’s you- with your uncanny ability to make him smile and laugh, your clever personality and friendly nature, all your strength and intelligence, and seemingly unwavering good morals. Law feels he barely deserves to have known you in this life, let alone fall in love with you as he has. Which is why he never shared his feelings with you or anyone, in all the time you’d been on his crew. Before this moment, he’d at least had the comfort of knowing there would always be the future, and therefore more time to open up to you figure out his feelings.
“How foolish.”
Law is just about to close his eyes- at least then it might be a more peaceful demise- when there’s a splash that breaks the surface of the waves. His eyes shoot wide open as he tries to figure out what it is, as it’s rather difficult to see clearly with his vision blurring and on the verge of losing consciousness.
All he can be sure of is that it’s a person. The light from above the waves surrounds their silhouette giving them an angelic halo, but simultaneously blocking out all their features from his view.
Law wonders, “Are you here to seal my fate? To ensure I don’t find some way out of this?” If he could, he’d ask that they do it quickly. Still, that painfully hopeful little part of his mind can’t help but come out in what are more than likely his last moments alive. “Or, are you here to save me? Are you gonna give me a second third chance at this? I don’t deserve it, but I will accept it. I’ll use it to do more; work harder, fulfill every goal. Confess to y/n.”
And that hopeful streak seems to take over his body as he uses his last iota of strength to reach upwards. Law’s angel continues swimming downward, but he can’t hold his breath long enough to see them reaching out to him, too.
His last thought is of you. He swears he can see your face on this mystery person as they get closer; your pretty eyes and lips, your hair swirling around your form underwater. Could it actually be… No, he doubts you’d even seen him falling overboard. But maybe he’s already dead, and you really are an angel. Law doesn’t get the chance to fully consider either reality though, as he finally blacks out.
-
“Gimme gimme gimme… a man after midnight…”
This is how Law taught you to do CPR on someone whose heart had stopped. Years ago, when you were struggling with keeping count of 100-120 beats per minute, he told you to “think of a song with the same count.” Most everyone’s go-to CPR song is “Stayin’ Alive.” But, you prefer the classic ABBA song. You pause every 30 compressions to administer 2 breaths, and as you remove your lips from his, a thought crosses your mind. “He looks so peaceful like this.” And even while unconscious, he’s handsome… angelic, even. Nevertheless, you’d much rather have an alive and annoyed looking Law than a dead and calm one.
“Is there a soul out there… Someone to hear my-”
Law coughs suddenly, and shoots up into a sitting position, gasping for breath.
“Law!” You throw your arms around his neck, nearly knocking the man back over.
And though he’s still catching his breath and coming to his senses, he lets you, and puts an arm around your back. “Y/n,” another cough, “what happened?”
You release him (much to his disappointment) and explain how the fight had ended soon after the crew lost sight of him; their captain. And, while the others quickly overtook the enemies, you dove overboard where you’d last seen him. It was pure luck, though guided by your intuition, that you found Law beneath the surface.
“Then I swam over here-“
“Which is where?”
You nod in the direction behind him. “Just around the bend from the harbor. The Polar Tang and the enemy’s ship can be seen from there, so I thought it’d be best to hide while you…”
“While I was dying.”
“Don’t say it like that,” you scold him with a frown, “you’re alive.”
“But I could have died.” Law says with very little pride. He sounds a little out of it, which makes sense considering the circumstances. “I could have died, and you saved me.”
“Well, any one of us would’ve, Captain-“
“Thank you, y/n.”
You shake your head bashfully. “It was no problem, really.” That’s a lie, and you both know it. The water in this part of the ocean is freezing, but through some incredible resolve that you hadn’t been aware of before, you pushed through it. For him. “So… We should get back to the fight, yeah?”
You move to stand up from your place on your knees, but Law stops you. With his hand on your shoulder, he pulls you back down to his side. “You said the fight is over?”
“Mhm.”
“Then let’s just… stay here, for a moment.”
He leans toward you hesitantly, though you’re not sure if it’s because he feels weak or he just wants you to hold him again. Either way, you wrap your arms around him and rest your chin on his shoulder. You hold onto each other with gentle force, and you feel him exhale deeply.
“I need to tell you something.” Law mutters.
You pull back enough to see his face. “Right now? Can’t it wait, Law-“
“I can’t want any longer.” And he really can’t. He’d tell you about how he had mistaken you for a living, breathing angel another time. For now, he just needs to fulfill his promise to said angel (to you?), and confess his love for you.
“Ok… What is it?”
Law is very straightforward as he says it. “I’m in love with you.” And he makes it impossibly hard to return to the battle when he asks that you never leave him in this life, like so many others have. Which you promise not to, of course, though it’s not exactly your decision. You tell him that you love him too, and in turn demand that he doesn’t die on you, either. Law nods against you.
The two of you stay there a while longer, in each other’s arms around the bend.

Giyu walked calmly down the hallway of Master Kagaya's mansion, where all the Hashiras plus some hunters were gathering to celebrate Halloween.
The party was very noisy since there were many people talking at the same time, so Giyu wanted to clear his head a little and take a walk.
Looking back, he couldn't see anyone, not even in front of him, so he was alone, at peace.
As he passed through a hallway, his peace ended.
“BOOOOOOO!” A “ghost” (which was clearly a person in costume) jumped on top of the man and knocked him to the ground.
“I got you! Look at that scared face! I scared you, Tomioka!”
It was Tengen Uzui, taking off his mask he celebrated
Giyu had no expression on his face
“Uzui, he clearly wasn’t scared” the third voice that was with them was Kyojuro Rengoku, who approached the two laughing “I told you he wouldn’t fall, such a good hashira wouldn’t be scared easily, right Tomioka?”
The man didn’t answer, he just stood up and wanted to keep walking
“Hey! But I’m sure I saw him get scared! Tomioka come back here!” Tengen pulled his hand “don’t you dare ignore me”
“Were you scared Tomioka?” Kyojuro asked, as if it was a really serious question
The two older men watched the youngest, Giyu, very seriously, who didn’t even care about what was happening, he just shrugged
“What the hell, it seems he’s gone mute!” Kyojuro said, shouting too loudly as always
“He’s ignoring me, argh this idiot, I already know how to make him talk!”
Tengen threw Giyu to the ground and started trying to tickle the boy's sides.
Tomioka didn't start laughing but squirmed with each touch.
"Uzui! Are you stupid?!"
"What?"
"If you don't start squeezing his knees he won't laugh, here!" Kyojuro did as he had said, the touch made Giyu burst into giggles.
"Now yes, now he's flashy!" Giyu tried to escape, but Kyojuro moved his hands to his belly, and Tengen's hands kept him pinned to the ground.
"You got scared, didn't you Tomioka?"
Giyu shook his head.
"Speak! Be flashier."
"YEHEHES" the hashira didn't want to say more because he was embarrassed.
"Leave him alone, Uzui, you've tortured him enough!"
Then, the two of them got off the man, letting him rest and breathe a little.
Kyojuro reached out to lift Tomioka up.
“That was hilarious.” Tengen laughed. “I didn’t know you were so~ ticklish, Tomioka.”
“Shut up.” Giyu started walking.
“Let’s scare other people, Uzui!” Kyojuro exclaimed. “Come with us, Tomioka!”
“Do it yourselves.”
The other two men started following Giyu, and they walked back to the party together.
Everyone asked where they were, but neither Kyojuro nor Tengen told the truth. They didn’t want to expose Giyu.
But they found it very very funny.

The Daughter's Return Part 3
Chapter 25: Decisions
Start From Beginning | Next Chapter | Table of Contents | Read on AO3
Characters: female reader x Portgas D. Ace Word Count: 1.5k
“Do you want to go back?” Ace asked, studying your face.
“Back where?” You focused on the newspaper in your hand, aware of his watchful eye.
It had been a few days since Ace had woken up, but you still hadn’t made the call to Marco or the others that you all were safe. He had been making great progress since then-he could sit up almost completely on his own. His back was still heavily wrapped, but most of the tubes and wires were no longer connected to his body anymore.
“Back home.” You winced at the word, which didn’t go unnoticed by Ace. His voice was softer when he spoke again. “To the Moby Dick.”
You stayed silent, staring intently at the paper in front of you.
“We don’t have to,” he said, gently laying down on the bed and staring at the ceiling. He groaned at the contact between his back and the sheets, and your eyes reflexively darted over to him at the sound of pain.
“Luffy’s not awake yet,” you reasoned. You didn’t want to have to make a decision yet. “We can’t leave him.”
“Luffy will be fine on his own.” Ace chewed on his lip, deep in thought. “If we leave before he wakes up, it’d be better.”
You scowled at that. “You can’t mean that. Luffy risked his life to save you! You can’t even stay around long enough to-”
“What if he didn’t save my life, though?” Ace’s dark eyes looked at you, waiting.
You let out a shaky breath. Certainly he wouldn’t be suggesting the same thing you had offered when he was unconscious. There’s no way Ace would want to leave…
“What if we were dead to the world?” His voice was so quiet, you could barely hear him. “We have the chance to start over. To leave everything-”
“What about the people we love? What about our family?” You argued.
“My family is in this room.”
Your breath caught in your throat. He was right. It had been the three of you for so short of a time, and yet all you wanted was a quiet life with them.
Still, you found yourself shaking your head in disagreement. “We can’t just leave them.”
“We can.” He reached out and grabbed your hand, giving it a light squeeze. “We will never have this chance again. We have to make a decision. Don’t think about anyone else. What do you want?”
You thought about how peaceful life had been in Wano, when you had established a life, a routine. You had made friends. You never had to look over your shoulder in the market. Nobody knew who you were or what you were capable of. Could you really have that again?
But your life had always been on the high seas. You had never grown bored of island life in Wano, but surely that was only because you had goals. If you were confined to a life on the ground with no end in sight, how would you feel in five years?
“I can’t do that to Marco,” you said. “He can’t lose everyone in one day. That’s not fair.”
“So we tell Marco,” Ace shrugged. “I think he would agree we’d be making the right choice. And he’s not exactly one for gossip.”
“Don’t you think we’d grow to hate it?”
Ace quirked up an eyebrow. “Do you think you would hate it?”
You wouldn’t. He knew that, and so did you. The thought of a place to call your own made you want to weep with joy. It sounded like something you could never achieve, and yet here it was, serving itself up on a silver platter.
“I’ll go speak to Law.” You rose from your chair, striding to the door. “It sounds like he has a call to make.”
--
A few days later, you were wrapped in Marco’s tight embrace, sobbing into his shirt.
He had come alone and boarded the metal ship without any weapons, like Law had demanded when he initiated contact via the transponder snail. And they had vanished beneath the waves before Law had led him to your and Ace’s room.
He had been cussing up a storm and threatening to rip the ship apart before the door opened to reveal the two of you. And then his entire demeanor changed, and the two of you hadn’t stopped holding each other since.
Ace cleared his throat gently, trying to get your all’s attention. “Marco-”
“How’s the baby?” Marco asked, redirecting his attention. “Is it alright after Marineford? You really shouldn’t have-!”
“He-” you gave him a knowing smile. “-is completely healthy, thanks to the doctor.” You gave another nod of thanks to Law, but Marco’s was more focused on the words you had spoken.
“He? It’s a boy?”
You gave a tearful nod. “It’s a boy.”
Ace shifted in his bed. “Marco-”
Marco ignored him. “And nothing is wrong? I mean, you used your powers for at least-”
Law stepped in, handing him a folder. “You can read all about it, Phoenix. We’re kind of on a tight schedule here.”
Marco’s brow furrowed. “Schedule? Aren’t I here to pick you up?”
The pain on your face was enough to spread panic across his as he looked between Ace and you. But slowly, miraculously, the panic melted away.
“You’re disappearing, aren’t you?” Marco asked softly, looking at Ace.
Ace gave a simple nod.
“We need your help,” you interjected. “We want to offer our protection to an island that Pops protected. In exchange, we just want to live there peacefully. Surely we can make the World Government believe their assassination attempt was successful. They’ve been reporting as if it was.”
Marco nodded as he wiped the tears from his face. He could switch into strategy mode almost as fast as you could. “It shouldn’t be hard to convince the world that the two of you are dead. We’re having a burial for pops in a few days.” Marco glanced at you nervously, but you kept your face blank.
“You’ll need to take some of our belongings,” you said. “For the graveside. Take anything from my room.”
“My hat,” Ace choked out. “You can take my hat. It’s too much of a distinguishing feature anyway.”
Marco shook his head. “I can’t-”
“You can,” you said sharply, trying to keep your bottom lip from trembling. “We only have one shot at this, Marco. I need to know that you can do this.”
Your uncle let out another shaky breath, but he nodded. “I can do this. For you to live a happy, peaceful life…I’d do anything.”
You handed him a sheet of paper with a list of names. “These people have vivre cards-”
“Most of the cards were destroyed during the war with the ships, but I’ll make sure they’re all disposed of.”
“Keep one,” you whispered softly, your voice threatening to betray you. “In case you need to find us.”
Marco gave a light laugh. “Kind of defeats the purpose of erasing yourselves, doesn’t it?”
But one look at your shining eyes stifled his laughter. “I’ll keep one,” he promised. “Go to the island of Ontau. They’ll accept you. You don’t have to tell them everything, just let them know you were one of Whitebeard’s underlings. It’s far enough in the Grand Line and it’s such a small island that the Marine’s won’t bother you, but it won’t be hard for you two to defend.”
“Marco-” you whispered.
“I have 50,000 berries on me, take them all to start over. It’s not a lot, but you can buy a small cabin and some things for the baby.”
“Marco,” you said a little louder. He was blabbering to prolong his time with you.
“And make sure you all find a nice place near the ocean. You can fish and live off the land, or get a job in town. Don’t live so far away that you isolate yourself. You need to make friends, both of you-” he gave you a pointed look. “You can trust people there. They’ll have your back when you need help, but you need to ask. Don’t be so prideful that you-”
You lunged toward him, wrapping your arms tight around him. It would be the last time you would see him for a very long time…maybe ever.
“I don’t want to leave you,” you cried into his chest.
“You have to.” He brushed your hair out, softly patting the top of your head as if you were still six years old. “You’ll live a better life. That’s all any parent wants, you know.”
“I wouldn’t be who I am without you.”
“You wouldn’t,” he agreed. “But now you can figure out who you are without me.”
You nodded into his chest, but you kept your arms locked around his torso. You needed to remember everything about him. Because if this was the last time…
“Look after each other, okay?” He said. You gave another nod.
“I swear it,” Ace’s voice came from behind you, and you felt his hand on your shoulder.
You gave Marco one last squeeze and finally broke away from him.
“One last thing,” Marco said, his hand enveloping in blue flames. “Let’s see how much I can heal those pesky burns, Ace.”
