You know those lifetime movies where a girl in her twenties goes into the hospital for a stomach ache and they tell her she's 40 weeks pregnant and about to go into labour?
That's how I felt at 25 except for some reason I was in a literal CIRCUS when it happened.
#I do not regret fatherhood#but I still recall the adrenaline rush of oh guess I have a child now#guess I'll love him forever and ever now#guess I'm fucked now#he climbs on ceilings#it's fine

WHO IS CARLOS SAINZ'S NEW GIRLFRIEND? BECAUSE...
Brezziana Aziza, whose stage name is Because has gained fame because of her relationship with Formula One Driver Carlos Sainz Jr. Previously known on social media as an influencer who vlogs about her daily life, netizens began to call her "Because" well because of her excessive use of that word.
Although she has stopped using that word since, the name has stuck. She is currently under fire for visiting a Shein Factory in China. For more details please click this link: Shein sent American influencers to China.

yn.ln: A lot of you wanted to comment and ask questions about my son, and I never really posted about him because I'm not like those parents who use their kids on social media for likes and clout.
Five years ago, I gave birth to my first baby, Pablo L/N (09/12/18) and every day has been filled with laughter and warmth 🦋 he was not a secret, but I tried to keep his life private. Now, a lot of people feel like they have the right to know everything about him. What he looks like. Who his father is. I'm telling you that it doesn't matter.
You don't have the right to his face. You don't have the right to know about his family life because it doesn't concern you and it never will.

email to [email protected] (Y/N L/N publicist) from [email protected]
Good morning Dessie.
This is Carlos Sainz Jr's publicist, Daniel Kirkman, in light of the rumors between my client and Miss Y/N L/N we humbly request the truth about Pablo L/N's paternity in order to legally and publicly clear things up. Speaking as your old friend, these past few months have been stressful both physically and mentally. Even if there's a sliver of hope that the kid is Carlos' please update me.
Warm regards, Daniel Kirkman.

email to [email protected] (Y/N L/N publicist) from [email protected] (Carlos Sainz Jr's publicist)
Good afternoon Mr. Kirkman.
I can see that the years have hardly changed you, you still have horrible email etiquette. Because we are old friends, I spoke to Y/N. Truth is, the things that I'm going to share today will ruin your client's reputation if our emails are ever leaked. Remember the fallout of 2018? We both celebrated New Years in Y/N's Santa Monica House.
Actually, New Years was the day we found out that she was pregnant. Not a doubt in our hearts that the baby was Carlos'. We were about to tell him but the moment we landed in Ibiza, she saw Carlos in bed with Brezziana. (I refuse to call her Because!! BECAUSE it is confusing and preposterous.)
I think that hiding Pablo from his father wasn't right, but I don't blame her for doing it. As for the paternity test, Y/N agreed but the team will come back to you with the legalities and such. As a 'friend' I want to tell you that the best Carlos is ever going to have is him paying child support and seeing the child once or twice a month.
Y/N has a lot of lawyers, more than we do friends. And judging by Carlos' personality, I don't think that he'll fight for his son.
Warm Regards, Destiny Bumgarner

There are only two things. Truth and lies.
Truth is indivisible, hence it cannot recognize itself; anyone who wants to recognize it has to be a lie.
The past that you've tried to bury has slowly began to reveal itself. Maybe it was your fault, you aren't sure...
Carlos Sainz was a horrible man. He cheated on you. He didn't apologize. He admitted that another woman made him happier. Was there something special about her? A simple internet starlet with no proper claim to fame made him feel more alive.
"You've got to face him anyways." Dakota placed a glass of wine on the coffee table. "Pablo isn't his. He doesn't even look like him." you shook your head, unable to accept the inevitable truth.
"I've read all the posts on Twitter, they don't think that I have the right to push my son away from his father. Carlos is immature, I don't think that he's even capable of being a father." you scoff, taking a sip.
Haven't you given your son everything that he needed? An iPad, a big house, private education, and vacations in all the nice places.
"Two wrongs don't make a right." Destiny breathed.
"- from what Kirkman says, Carlos has changed. I don't encourage you to be romantic partners or even best friends, but please be civil for Pablo. Please let him have a civil relationship with his father." she added. "I hate it when you're right." you looked away.
You've seen his posts. You've seen his interviews.
There wasn't a bone in his body that screamed mischievousness anymore. He looked tame. Happier.
He achieved all of that without you, and maybe you could be that too.
You can be everything without him too.
"So you'll talk to him?" Dakota asked.
"I'll give it a try." I relented.
.
.
.
Look at the stars.
Look how they shine for you.
The music played in the background as you sashayed your way into the VIP section of your friend's restaurant. Destiny was an angel enough to close shop and ensure that your privacy was protected especially in these vulnerable moments.
A sigh escapes your mouth, hearing that song in the background. As much as you adored Chris Martin, this song was getting in your feels.
You take a sharp turn, halting once you see his figure.
The very same man that shattered your world in Ibiza. The very same man that looked you in the eyes while he admitted that someone else made him much much happier than you, his fiancee.
And it was called Yellow.
"Thank you so much for being here, Y/N." your name sounded soft on his lips. Behind his brown eyes, there was sorrow - not to be confused with regret because he looked better than he ever was. "It's been a while, hasn't it?" you chuckled.
While nothing about you has changed.
Carlos has changed drastically.
"Destiny told me about the emails. Your team wanted a paternity test, right? You don't need it, Pablo is yours." you decided to be straightforward, not bothering to sugarcoat the truth.
You could feel that bitterness on your throat, like tears were threatening to spill out of your eyes, like you just swallowed a pill and forgot to drank water afterwards.
"Uhh - I found out on New Years day, and I wanted to tell you in Ibiza." you didn't bother to continue the story. He knows what you mean.
For you I'd bleed myself dry.
"I'm sorry, really sorry for not being a man. I know that we were about to get married, and I got scared. I was 24 years old, everyone was telling me that I had another life ahead of me. I was young. I wanted to ruin my life. I-I shouldn't have brought you with me." he apologized, trying to find the words that could articulate his feelings.
This was all that you needed from him.
An apology.
"When Destiny found out, she grabbed me by the ear. Told me that I could live a hundred lifetimes and never deserve you. I believe her, and I want to do everything to make it up to you and Pablo." he promised, but there were still words unsaid - the turn of his brows telling you that he wasn't willing to return back to normal.
That he still loves Because more than he's ever loved you.
"Do you love her?" you smiled bitterly. Your smile.
Look how they shine for you.
"I betrayed both of you that night. She didn't know that we were dating. She didn't know who I was. I apologized to her and she forgave me, but I realized a few years after that I should've apologized to you too." he admitted. "- I love her, really."
You knew that he wasn't lying.

Milk.
Back again for the third time today, this time with some porn with a plot.
I'm really on one with the Dadstarion fics. Something has been unleashed inside me, people.
I need to edit all these headers at some point.
Warnings: babies, angst w comfort, smut, nipple play, breast milk, breast milk drinking, breeding kink, daddy kink, teasing, dirty talk, a bit of soft dom Astarion vibes, 18+ only please
A/N: Most of you already know I'm a degenerate.
-----
Astarion had been uncharacteristically melancholy this week.
Sure, it wasn’t unusual to witness him in one of his moods of irritation or frustration, particularly when some business deal or another was not going particularly well, or a contract he’d already drafted more times than he could count came back to him with more rebuttals.
But to witness this cloud of sadness around your husband, especially after Gale’s birth, was odd. He’d been the picture of domestic joy and fatherhood, completely over the moon in his new role. He even wore the sleeplessness better than you in the first few months, happy to assist where he could so that his little love could get more valuable rest.
However, just recently, his mood had become detached and distant. Everything he did and said seemed tinged with worry or sadness. It reminded you of the spawn version of Astarion from several years ago, almost always caught in a poor memory or concerning line of thought. That version of Astarion hadn’t shown up in a while. You couldn’t be sure what triggered it.
“Gale’s getting quite good at holding his head up,” You inform your husband as you crawl into bed with him after just putting the three-month-old down for the evening.
“That’s wonderful news, darling.” Astarion replies, with that same distant, pensive air he’s addressed you with all week as he focuses on the book in his lap.
You sigh, and put your hand over the book, obscuring the pages and forcing the elf to acknowledge you, “What is it, Astarion? You’ve been in this… mood all week and I’m beginning to worry you’re regretting parenthood.”
Your husband’s eyebrows crinkle as he places the book on his nightstand, staring at you with a mixture of shock, hurt and confusion, “Darling, do you truly think that? What have I done besides absolutely dote on Gale? And on you!”
You realize you’ve misspoken. You see the wounds on your husband’s face as he assesses you, and your hands come to his cheeks, searching his eyes, “No, no I didn’t mean it like that. I’m sorry. I know you don’t regret Gale… I just. I’m worried, Astarion. You seem… sad. Lost in thought in a way I haven’t seen in years and… I don’t know why.”
There is a moment of silence as Astarion’s eyes flash through several thoughts, filtering through a week's worth of garbled noise within his mind. And then he sighs, “I…” he pauses and blinks, forcing himself to meet your gaze, “I’m worried that I won’t be the right masculine role model for Gale. That I’m not strong enough to show him… to show him how to be a good man.”
Your mouth falls open in shock. You cannot even think of something to say, because this certainly wasn’t the direction you thought Astarion would take. He was always quite self-assured in his talents and never hesitant to be the true version of himself after the parasite fiasco over a decade ago.
He continues, “I don’t live in the woods, or whatever it is exactly Halsin does. I’m not an especially talented spell caster like Gale. And I’m fair with a blade but it’s been years since I’ve had use for one and I don’t have the level of training nor regular practice like Wyll nowadays, dear. I review contracts and make investments; I run the winery. I embroider. I’m not exactly the picture of masculinity in comparison to… others.”
There is a moment of quiet between the two of you. Concerned tears form in your husband’s eyes, which he quickly blinks away.
“Astarion… you are the strongest man I know.” You murmur, running a finger along the elf’s cheek as he scoffs and shakes his head. His eyes jerk away from your face; clearly, he does not believe you.
You gasp in shock as you cup his face harder, willing the elf to understand how serious you are. You continue, vehemently, “My love. You cannot seriously believe otherwise! You have endured more than any of us could ever imagine. Over 200 years of… horrible atrocities. And then you came out on the other side of that, after having sacrificed so much — and Astarion, do not ever forget how much you willingly sacrificed — to be better. To choose differently. To be so much more.”
You are ripping the blankets away and crawling into your husband’s lap now, wrapping your limbs around his torso. His head comes to the side of your neck as you hold him, hoping to convey the love and respect you have for the elf with the warmth of your arms. Your fingers latch into the curls on the back of his neck as you speak in a reverent whisper, urging him to believe you.
“I watched you endure years without the sun in more stride than I could have possibly thought. And you are perhaps softer than you were when we met, yes. But this version of you gives me and Gale everything we need and more. I cannot imagine someone stronger or more courageous than you, my love. And I think you have forgotten how much strength it took for you to become this soft in the first place. I love this version of you. And Gale has a wonderful, loving, strong father in this version. Please do not ever doubt that.”
A quiet hum of acknowledgement comes from your husband, but no other words escape him as he lifts his head from the crook of your neck and envelopes your lips in a soft kiss. A thank you.
Your heart is pounding from the passion with which you spoke, and when Astarion’s lips press into yours, that passion and love begins to flow throughout your body. Pieces of you start to wake.
It had been a while since you two were intimate. Not since before Gale's birth. Days and nights had recently been filled with parenthood and left little time nor energy for much else. But as Astarion pushes forward, wrapping his arms around your back, you feel the stirrings of desire deep in your core. A soft moan leaves you as a fire begins to grow where mere glowing embers had been left several months ago.
Astarion must be feeling the same pull, because his hand trails from your back and sneaks under your nightdress to brush along your thigh. He slowly traces up the length of your leg to cup your bottom while he deepens the kiss with a soft, breathy moan of his own. He’s flexing his hips up toward you, the growing bulge in his trousers begging for further stimulation. Your lover’s tongue swipes along your lower lip, asking for entry, and your mouth opens to accept the swirling heat of desire from the elf.
He explores your mouth and caresses your bottom for a while, tenderly, slowly, and in no rush to further things along despite the mutual growing desire between your two bodies. It’s you that finally breaks the kiss before ripping your night dress over your head, exposing two heavy, milk-laden breasts in the process. Astarion brings the hand not kneading into your ass to cup your breast before thumbing the pert nipple.
You gasp, and your husband’s brows crinkle for a moment as he pauses his ministrations.
“Too sensitive?” He asks, pressing a soft kiss to the top of your other breast.
“No, keep going,” You urge him, closing your eyes and rolling your hips forward to grind into his groin. He bucks forward to meet you instinctively.
He tentatively thumbs the nipple again and you moan in response. Without thinking much about it, Astarion brings his mouth to the other breast and wraps his lips around the bud before sucking gently. You release an ecstatic keen in response when his teeth graze against the tender flesh. You are continuing to roll your hips into him when he suddenly retracts from your chest with a shocked gasp.
Your eyes snap open, and you catch the final glimpse of your husband wiping breast milk from the side of his mouth as his cheeks and ears slowly turn pink. And then you feel your own embarrassment growing as rosy patches flush across your chest and cheeks. You quickly move to cover your breasts.
“I-I’m sorry,” You whisper, “it slipped my mind. I forgot about the…”
You’re thinking the moment’s ruined, and moving to climb off your husband, but he quietly brings his hand to your waist and stills you. His eyes search yours silently for a moment, and you’re still so consumed by your own embarrassment that all you can do is stare dumbly back at him, eyebrows furrowed.
But then Astarion lifts one of his hands to your own, slowly lowering it from where it had been covering your breast. He keeps his eyes locked on yours as he once again leans forward and wraps his lips around the nipple, sucking gently. Warm milk flows into his mouth and you inhale sharply, unable to look away as your husband removes his lips from your breast, opens his mouth to show you the white liquid, and then closes his mouth and swallows.
He swallows.
And then he smirks up at you with a self-satisfied, mischievous glint in his eyes that causes the slickness between your legs to instantly double.
Gods, this man.
You are convinced your entire body is flushing red at this point as Astarion slowly brings his other hand up to palm the flesh of your breast.
“Would you like daddy to do it again?” He purrs before his tongue laps circles around the side of your heavy tit.
“I— gods, yes.” You respond, blinking down at the elf.
“Okay. But you have to ask me very, very nicely, little love.” He responds teasingly as he trails kisses to your other breast, waiting for you to say something.
“Please suck my nipple,” You whisper, eagerly rolling your groin into your husband's raging erection.
But Astarion doesn’t do what he’s asked. Instead, he’s teasing the bud with the flat of his tongue and humming contentedly, waiting for something from you.
“Please suck my nipple, daddy.” You amend, and the elf instantly engages his lips around your other breast with a soft groan. He’s drinking with vigor as your hands find the curls at the nape of his neck and take hold. Before long he’s retracting again, his mouth full of liquid gold.
And he pulls the same maneuver. Mouth open, flashing the white liquid as he looks directly into your eyes. Mouth closed. Swallow. Devious smile.
“It’s delicious, you know.” He murmurs as you stare at him, still in shock and still somewhat embarrassed by the fact that you are actually enjoying this. His hands come to either breast, both now significantly lighter, and he fondles the soft tissue.
“You shouldn’t be so surprised that you like this darling, I distinctly remember a time when I made you orgasm by mere nipple play alone.” He whispers, a glint of that cocky rogue playing across his face before he trails kisses up your chest and along your neck.
“Gods, Astarion,” You respond, “I need you inside me, now.”
You’re done with the foreplay. Your husband has you ridiculously hot and bothered, and it’s been far, far too long. You're on your knees, which are straddled on either side of his hips as you urgently tug at the waistband of his trousers, trying to work his pants and underclothes off in one motion. But your husband is purposely resisting and refusing to lift his hips, watching you with that same arrogant smile.
Oh, he's toying with you.
“Darling, why am I always the one dirty talking you?” He asks, pulling back from your neck and cocking his head just slightly as he studies your face.
“I— what?” You ask, still pulling insistently at his waistband.
“I’m always the one charming the pants off of you, dear. In over ten years, it’s never really been the other way around. But you know that I love to hear your beautiful words.” He continues, moving one of his hands to stroke between your still-clothed folds.
“Astarion, please fuck me.” You try as you struggle to keep your composure. The slickness of your cunt is making obscene noises as he expertly maneuvers between your slit, watching your expression attentively as you come undone.
He chuckles darkly as he brings his lips to your breast once again, trailing kisses along the side of the flesh, “I think you can do better than that, my love.”
You groan in dismay as the bastard continues to tease you. Several months without sex and somehow you’re still the desperate one while he’s effortlessly maintaining his cool.
“What do you want daddy to do to you, darling?” He purrs, teasingly, as his other hand that isn’t stroking between your legs trails across your skin to fondle your ass once again.
“I want you to fuck me and fill me with your seed.” You whine as his ministrations on your clit become more insistent. You’re trying to play into his desires, to convince him to stretch you open with his thick cock.
Your legs are trembling now. He’s going to make you come embarrassingly fast. You know it. He knows it.
“Won’t you beg me, my love?” He murmurs as his eyes trail across your chest, admiring your larger-than-usual breasts before his gaze locks back onto yours, fingers still strumming your clit, now adding more pressure, “You know I love to hear your sweet little pleas.”
“Please— Astarion. Please, daddy. Please fuck me. Breed me like your good little wife and fill me with—“
You gasp and then moan as your orgasm rips through you with little warning, drenching your husband’s hand in your arousal. The release causes your legs to turn into jelly, and Astarion uses the opportunity to quickly maneuver you into a new position. You are sitting on the side of the bed, and he is now standing, quickly lowering his trousers.
His cock springs free, and the sight causes your eyes to widen in shock. It’s so engorged that the head is slowly turning from that gorgeous pink to a deep purple, begging for release. Thin rivulets of pre-cum are falling in strings from the tip; much of his shaft is glistening from the same evidence of his arousal.
Astarion glances down at his own erection and then warns, “It’s been a while darling, not quite certain how long I will last.”
“Just get inside me already, daddy.” You plead and that’s enough to make your husband growl as he strokes his own member once, twice, prepping himself. He peels your drenched undergarments down your legs and tosses them aside.
As Astarion’s cock slides between your folds you gasp. Gods, it really has been too long. And then he’s pressing into you slowly, groaning deeply with the amount of effort it’s taking him to not release his spend right upon entry into your tight cunt. When he reaches the hilt, the elf stills for a moment and lowers himself down to kiss your lips before pressing his forehead against yours. And then Astarion is slowly rolling his hips, his mouth hanging open in a gasp at the delicious sensation of your walls clenching around him before he closes his eyes to focus.
It isn’t long before he's losing control. Your husband normally prides himself on being a consummate lover; it’s quite typical that he brings you to orgasm twice before finding his own release. But it has been quite some time and perhaps holding off in an attempt to hear your pleas wasn’t as easy for him as it appeared on the outside.
“Gods, darling. You feel so perfect.” The elf pants, almost breathless, his hips stuttering as he jerkily thrusts into you, trying and failing to maintain some rhythm as the pleasure overwhelms him, “So perfectly wet and tight.”
“Come inside me, daddy.” You whisper as you bring your hand to the side of Astarion’s face.
The command shocks him. Like you, he’s suddenly coming with very little warning. His eyes rip open as he’s spilling into you with a loud groan, his cock jerking inside your walls where he’s instinctively buried himself to the hilt.
“Fuck-- gods, Tav--" He hisses through the waves of pleasure racking his body as his eyes roll back. His thighs are trembling as his member continues to throb, spilling several streams of hot, thick seed into you as you watch his face in awe. Mouth agape, cheeks flushed. You love the way he looks when he loses control.
You smile and kiss your husband gently as he comes down from his high, your hand stroking his cheek. And then he’s laughing and pressing his forehead back against yours. A few of his curls fall haphazardly and you reach up to lovingly comb them back into place.
“You are… still full of surprises, aren’t you?” Astarion asks as he slowly withdraws from you, causing the slickness from your lovemaking to run down your thighs and into the sheets.
“I thought you would like it,” You offer shyly, now somewhat embarrassed at your own crassness as the tides of passion recede.
“Oh, I certainly did, darling.” Your lover reassures you as he bends down to retrieve his trousers from the floor, "You cheeky little degenerate."
Just then, Gale lets out a sharp cry from the nursery. You move to stand up, but your husband stops you with a gentle hand and a soft, adoring smile.
“I’ll go and get him. Don’t waste the seed still inside you, dear. Give it a few more precious moments to try and do its thing, hm?” Astarion says, partly teasing and partly serious as he shoots you a wink before heading out the bedroom door to retrieve the infant.
This one won’t take, you know as much. You aren’t ovulating. But as you watch the love of your life exit the room on his way to retrieve the other love of your life, you think you may actually be ready to start trying for another one sometime soon. You know Astarion is simply waiting for your cue.
Anything for daddy.

Good father
Anakin Skywalker x Reader
Anakin Skywalker stood by the window, looking out into the starry expanse of space. The distant stars twinkled like tiny pinpoints of hope. But in his heart, a storm raged. His past was a web of regret, pain, and loss, but now the future loomed before him with hope. Two little lives. Two precious twins. Luke and Leia.
The faint sound of their soft cries drifted in from the other room. Anakin closed his eyes for a moment, taking in the sound with a tenderness that surprised even him. He wasn't used to that kind of love, the pure, unwavering devotion a father felt for his children. His thoughts drifted back to the first time he'd held them in his arms, their tiny faces wrinkled in confusion and wonder. They were perfect, a reflection of his redemption, and yet he felt unworthy of them.
As the days passed, Anakin found himself struggling with the idea of fatherhood. His life as a Jedi had never prepared him for this—he had been trained to fight, to serve, to protect, but never to care. Yet there he was, standing on the threshold of a new beginning, wanting to be the best father he could be.
He heard footsteps behind him. A soft, warm presence enveloped him like a comforting blanket. Anakin turned to find her standing there—his wife, his mate, his love. The woman who had helped him find the light again.
You smiled, your eyes filled with quiet strength. “They’re hungry,” you said softly.
Anakin nodded, but there was a hint of uncertainty in his voice. “I want to help… but I’m not sure how.”
You walked to his side, placing a gentle hand on his arm. “You’re already doing that,” you assured him. “Just by being here, by wanting to be involved, you’re already showing them how much you care about them.”
He smiled, grateful for your words, though doubts still lingered in his heart. They had always shared a deep connection, one that had been forged in both passion and struggle. But now they were parents, and there was no guide to tell him what to do. He could feel the weight of responsibility on his shoulders, but there was something else, too, something more powerful than the fear that had once controlled him. It was love.
As they entered the nursery, Anakin took a deep breath, his fingers brushing against the soft fabric of his son’s blanket. Luke’s small hand curled around his finger, and the world seemed to slow down, leaving only the warmth of that small hand. Leia, wrapped up next to her brother, looked up at him with wide, innocent eyes.
“I don’t know if I’m ready for this,” Anakin admitted quietly, his voice filled with vulnerability. “But I want to try. I want to be a good father to them.”
You stepped closer and rested a hand on his shoulder. “You already are. They will grow up knowing your love, your strength, and your heart. That is all they need.”
Anakin nodded, feeling the weight of your words settle in his chest. It wasn’t about being perfect, it was about being there, showing up every day, even when doubts clouded his mind. He had once feared his own ability to love, thinking it was a weakness that would destroy him. But now, with Luke and Leia in his arms, he realized it was his greatest strength.
The sound of the twins’ cries soon filled the room again, and Anakin smiled softly, his heart filling with tenderness. He was no longer the young Jedi who had once struggled to control his emotions. He had learned that love, in its purest form, was not something to be feared, it was something to be embraced.
Together, they cared for their children that night, and in every tender touch and every glance shared between them, Anakin knew that this was where he belonged. He was no longer alone. And for the first time in his life, he understood what it meant to truly be a father.

Edric smiles when he sees Rhaella has finally fallen asleep. She had been rather silent as he read a story before bed to her for the first time since she was seven. He remembered how she used to ask relentless questions about what would happen to the characters in the books, always eager to spoil the ending.
He tries to be as quiet as possible as he crosses to the door. He hopes a goodnight of sleep will help her, after all, it isn't every day a young lady's father introduces himself for the first time in front of half the major houses of Westeros.
"You're rather dedicated for just simply being a Maester."
Edric nearly jumps out of his shoes when he hears Prince Daemon's voice in the dark hall.
"She is the Lady of Runestone. It is my duty to serve her, just as I did her mother." Edric says
"Yes, Yes, I know. Honor, duty. Wonderful things." Daemon says finally stepping into the light
"May I ask what you are doing here, my Prince?"
He knows why Daemon is here, on the opposite end of the keep instead of back with his wife.
"I am here to see my daughter. We have things to discuss." Daemon says
"She is asleep. Perhaps your discussion might wait until the morrow. A night of rest is good for all." Edric says
He hopes Daemon will turn around and go crawling back to Pentos. What does he think he is doing? Coming back after all these years for Rhaella.
Daemon lets out a hum of amusement at the old Maester standing in his way. At first, he didn't recognize him but now, up close, he does. Edric had been the one to pull Rhaella into the world while his...lady wife Rhea had screamed.
"I will see her, she can sleep after our talk." He says, brushing past Edric and into her chamber, "You are dismissed, Maester Edric."
Surprisingly, the old man wasn't lying. Rhaella is indeed sleeping. Long silver hair is spread across her pillows and she's tucked securely under covers.
He decides to leave her alone for the moment and instead inspects the different things that litter her chamber. Books of every kind line her shelf and desk. A poorly drawn dragon sits atop a stack of parchments full of different doodles. He's surprised to see a practice sword along with what looks like a boy's outfit for sword fighting lying on a chair.
He can't help but feel the regret that seeps into his bones as he turns back to look at her. She is only a year older than Baela and he knows he's already missed so much. He wonders how much of fatherhood Edric has stolen from him. Was he there for Rhaella's first steps or perhaps that cunt Gerold was. Looking at her now he realizes he should've taken her with him after Rhea had died. Perhaps she'd be a dragon rider by now if he had.
He winces when the hilt of his sword bumps into a stack of books that are sitting on the edge of a table. They tumble to the ground and disrupt the trance he is under.
"Aemond?"
Rhaella's voice fills his ears for the first time. He's insulted but not surprised that she calls the name of Visery's boy. According to the numerous messages from his brother the two were companions.
He's not sure what to say when Rhaella rubs the sleep from her eyes and looks at him. He had been so confident at the feast but now his mouth is empty.
She stares at him, most likely expecting him to speak first. He probably should, he is the adult here after all.
"Get out."
Well, he wasn't expecting that.
Rhaella couldn't believe what was happening. When her eyes had cracked open and saw a head of silver shoulder-length hair she thought Aemond might've come for a late-night visit. She couldn't believe that Daemon was standing there, a stack of books at his feet and a curse on his lips. She tells him to leave and she gives him the look that Jacaerys gives his mother when she tells him he can't have any more sweets before dinner.
"You're training with a sword. Are you any good?" He asks, ignoring her command.
Why did he even bother asking? He had never shown interest in her before. She knew her uncle had sent letters to Pentos about her so why was he suddenly in front of her like he cared for her?
"I'm sure you are, it's in your blood after all." He smiles gesturing to the legendary Dark Sister who sits in the scabbard wrapped around his waist.
"Leave. I don't want to see you right now." She says, hoping he'll understand this time.
Daemon's mouth quirks up into what Rhaella can only describe as an arrogant smirk.
"Sleep well, daughter. I'll see you at breakfast."
The next day is a beautiful one. The sky looked as though it was painted blue and birds sang their sweet songs while a soft breeze flowed through the castle. Despite the inherent beauty of the day, Rhaella had been missing from breakfast. Aemond took note of it immediately when his Uncle Daemon was at his father's side and one of his cousins, perhaps it was Baela, he wasn't sure was in Rhaella's spot.
He finds her still in bed, her hair like a silver tuft of fuzz among the blues she had chosen for her blankets.
"You missed breakfast. There was bacon. Aegon scarfed your portion down before I could stop him." Aemond said, placing the plate of food he had in his hands onto her table.
There isn't an answer nor a "thank you for bringing me food, Aemond" from his friend.
"Do you plan to sleep the day away? I wanted to visit my horse in the stables with you today." Aemond said
He walked over to her and tugged the covers off her.
"You're not even asleep!" He scoffed
Aemond looked at Rhaella's face which she tried to hide behind an ugly-looking pillow she had attempted to embroider. He wasn't sure what he expected, initially he thought the cup of wine his father had given as a treat to her might've been to much for her, she was rather skinny. Puffy red eyes were not at all what he thought was going to be staring back at him this morning.
"What's wrong?" He asked sitting down at the foot of the bed
"Daemon is what's wrong." She shuddered
Of course, it was. He was an imbecile for thinking it might've been something else.
"He is no longer in the castle. He said something about going for a morning flight on his dragon." Aemond says, unsure if that will make her feel better. He's never been very good with feelings, choosing to ignore his own had worked rather well for the past nine years of his life.
"I do not care. I wish he'd fly back to Pentos and never come back." She said
"Perhaps he will. My mother said he's never been able to stay still. Apparently, he and my father always get in fights that end in Daemon's banishment." Aemond says
"I wish the banishment would come quicker." Rhaella sniffed
Aemond isn't quite sure what to do. He had wanted to run off to the stables to see the beautiful mare he was given. He was aware it was his father's attempt to make up for his lack of a dragon. Initially, he hadn't been interested, why should he have a horse instead of a dragon? But now he loved Rain and the way the wind would whip through his hair when she ran. Rhaella's sad face however had him rethinking his plans for the day. Rain would have to wait just a bit longer.
Rhaella suddenly sits up and looks him right in the eyes.
"He came here last night. Asked about my sword skills and knocked over a stack of books. He keeps calling me daughter like I have always been near him...he pretends like we are familiar when he is nothing but a folktale to me, an imaginary story Maester Edric tells before bedtime."
Aemond feels his hands begin to sweat when fresh tears make their way down her face. He hopes he is not overstepping some unspoken boundary when he wraps his arms around her in a warm embrace. To his surprise, she reciprocates and Aemond feels his shoulder dampen with hot tears.
"I wish he would just disappear." She whispers
Laena Velaryon watches quietly as the two children embrace. She had initially come to apologize to Rhaella for Daemon's behavior. She had told him not to visit her last night, yet he slipped away while she was bidding goodnight to her own daughters. Her hands rest on her baby bump as she hears Prince Aemond ask Rhaella to eat the food he has brought her.
When Daemon told her so many years ago he had a child with the late Lady Rhea, Laena had felt jealous. She had been young and only freshly married to Daemon when he had admitted it. But, as the years passed and she read letters from the Maester of Runestone and eventually the king himself, her mind was changed. Rhaella seemed simply wonderful and Visery's many stories about how she entertained Rhaenrya's children and his own were good things to her. She was surprised when Daemon had declared they were to attend the girl's name day feast. He had never wanted to discuss her until just a few days before the big day.
"I want to meet her."
That had been his only explanation for this hasty trip. Sometimes she swore she had no idea what was running through her husband's mind. It was not that she wished to deprive Rhaella of a father but she had pointed out to Daemon before they left Pentos that the girl might not want to see him. He had dismissed her worries and proclaimed that she would. How foolish he was.
"Lady Laena?" A voice calls out
"Oh!" She smiles at the handmaiden who is trying to enter the room, "I am in your way."
"It is alright, My Lady. Do you wish to speak to Lady Rhaella?" She asked "I can come back to dress her later."
"No, it is alright. I can see her later." Laena says backing into the hall
Aegon is not sure what to make of the scene in front of him. He had been searching for a spot to drink where his mother would not find him. The library had seemed perfect yet it was already occupied. Aemond and Rhaella sat far too close to each other while they whispered to each other over an open book.
"What are you two doing?" He asked
"Aegon." Aemond turns to greet his older brother
"We are trying to translate this book from high Valyrian. Rhaenrya said that is what she did when she was young, it helped her become more fluent." Rhaella explains
Aegon has never been fond of his little cousin. Maybe it was because she was boring and loved books the way Aemond did or perhaps it was just because her tits hadn't come in yet. Either way, she wasn't very interesting in his mind.
"What's the point in learning Valyrian if you don't even have a dragon to command it with?" Aegon asked lazily falling into a plush chair.
He doesn't miss the way Aemond's brows pinch together in...annoyance? Disappointment?
"We can still converse in High Valyrian! For your information, Aegon we will have dragons one day, they'll be even prettier than Sunfyre!" Rhaella declares
Aegon scoffs at her overconfidence.
"Do you plan on making one magically appear?"
"No...there are unclaimed dragons! And, if any of Dreamfyre's eggs hatch I am sure we will both be able to bond with them, right Aemond?"
His little brother nods and looks at Rhaella like some lovesick puppy.
"You are both nauseating." Aegon declares
Not entirely sure if I like this chapter. Oh well.
Aegon seems like the type to steal people's bacon.

Trailer park Steve AU part 39
part 1 | part 38 | ao3
Eight hours, four pizzas, and one — yes, one, Henderson, Jesus — job-well-done beer each later, Steve waves the kids out the door and promptly collapses facedown on his shiny new vinyl flooring.
"God," he groans, rolling his forehead on the floor.
Eddie's not much better off. He's slumped against the front door, bracing his weight with one hand, head hung low between his shoulders. His hair's all frizzed out with sweat, and Steve can hear his soft panting over the hum of the radio. "Yeah," he says in breathless agreement. "Fatherhood is exhausting."
Steve snorts a quiet laugh. "Welcome to the babysitters club."
"Not even getting paid for this shit," Eddie complains, but Steve can see the smile tugging at his mouth when he steps over him. "I'm gonna grab a shower. That okay?"
"Go ahead," Steve mumbles, eyelids heavy as he waves Eddie down the hall. "Towels are in the closet. Borrow whatever you want."
His limbs feel like lead. Shoulders throbbing; headache worse. He's also... maybe, possibly having some major regrets about moving all the couches out onto the front lawn along with the rolled-up carpet earlier (a fact he'd sooner eat his own shirt than admit to Eddie, because Eddie warned him not to do it; told him he was going to be too tired after installing the floors to bring them all back inside, and Steve had shrugged him off at the time because Steve's an overconfident dipshit.) Anyway, he's pretty sure the spasm in his spine is price enough to pay for not listening. He's not about to put up with Eddie's gloating, too.
Eddie pauses in the hallway, rings tapping against the wall, smug little bastard look on his face. "You doin' okay down there, champ?"
It's a serious effort to raise his arm to flip him the bird, but Steve manages.
—
"Hey, sunshine."
Eddie's voice is gentle as Steve blinks himself awake, neck cracking horribly, little puddle of drool under his chin. He's not sure when he drifted off. The last thing he remembers is nuzzling his cheek against the floor, feeling the weirdly papery material slide against his stubble; thinking about how it was cheap and it was tacky but it was new and it was his. How it felt like as good of a fresh start as anyone in Forrest Hills was going to get.
"How long was I out for?" he groans, rolling onto his back to stretch out his stiff limbs.
Long enough, apparently. Eddie got a whole pillow fort situation sorted out while Steve was snoozing — dragged all the pillows and blankets off Steve's bed and arranged them in a pile in the middle of the empty room, pulled a side table and lamp over from the corner, gathered up the radio and the last box of leftover pizza and his black lunchbox and a couple of beers to share.
He's also freshly showered and wearing Steve's pajamas. Looks clean and warm and soft; borrowed Hawkins High green sweats, a thin, white undershirt, the shoulders damp where his hair hangs in pretty wet waves.
Steve is so, so normal about the picture Eddie paints.
So normal.
Not at all popping a boner over a guy in ratty loungewear.
Steve crosses his legs — subtly, left ankle to right knee, but Eddie gives him a knowing smirk over the lip of his beer bottle anyway.
"Shut up," Steve blushes.
"Did I speak?" Eddie asks.

Forgotten Anniversary. Steve Harrington x Fem! Reader. *FLUFF*
Summary: A few weeks after the birth of their baby girl, Steve's wife forgets an important date.
Word Count: 1k
TW: Talking about birth and labor, being forgetful, crying.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It had been a blurry 2 weeks after the birth of their first baby, little Mia Alexandra Harrington.
She was an 8 pound 2 ounce little peanut, born with a lot more hair than anyone had thought.
Mia had come a few weeks earlier than expected. The birthing experience was exhausting, plus some complications during labor caused both of them to stay in the hospital for 5 extra days than they had expected.
Steve had been the most incredible man the entire time. He held his wife's hand and was by her side the entire labor process, feeding her ice chips at her request, fanning her face, kissing her head when she cried from the pain, and praised her the entire time she was pushing, encouraging her to keep going, and not letting her give up when she told him she couldn’t do it.
He had taken the fatherhood role like a champ, doing most of the diaper changes that way she didn’t have to lift. Even in the middle of the night when she was nursing, he got up with both of them, getting her some snacks or water, whatever she wanted or needed. She always had his support, and she was so thankful for it.
Both of them were exhausted between Mia mixing up her days and nights, trying to navigate through the slight colic she had, both of them taking turns trying to soothe her so the other didn’t get too overwhelmed.
Today was a bit of a rough day, Mia was uncomfortable and let everyone know it. Like always, Steve and her took turns trying to relieve the gas in her tummy to make her feel better, but Mia was not having any of it.
She wanted to be held close or to be fed, and if either of them thought about putting her down, she was going to make both of them regret it.
Steve watched as Mia fed from his wife on and off all day, feeling bad that she was in pain from her breasts being so sensitive. Her oversized shirt was covered in spit up and soda that she had spilled on herself during lunch accidentally. But she was far too tired and sore even still to go change.
Steve had run out to go get her some ice cream, a treat that both of them had deserved after today, so it had just left her and their baby girl in the living room watching reruns of The Golden Girls, one of her guilty pleasure shows.
She watched their baby girl next to her on the couch fast asleep and slightly milk drunk. She studied her face, trying to determine if she had her nose or Steve’s (it was most definitely Steve’s), if she had her lips or Steve’s (hers), and who she was going to get her personality from.
From behind the couch she could hear the lock turn, meaning Steve was home. She shifted on the couch, watching him come in with a smile on her face. It wasn’t until he turned around that she saw a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
“Stevie, you got me flowers?” She melts inside, beaming at her husband.
Steve rounds the couch, handing her the flowers. “I wanted to do something nice for you today.”
“Aww, aren’t you sweet? I know today has been hard, but I finally got her down when you were gone.”
“Well actually… today is our anniversary.” Steve says awkwardly.
Her eyes grow wide at his words, her heart falling into her stomach at the realization that she had forgotten their wedding anniversary. “Steve, oh my god. Steve, I'm so sorry!”
“No, honey! It’s not your fault. There’s been so much going on the past few weeks, both of us have been in baby land and we’ve barely gotten any sleep.”
Tears start to burn her eyes as she stares at her husband, guilt running through her body. “You still remember our anniversary. I totally spaced it. I feel so awful.” The tears start to roll down her cheeks, quickly trying to wipe them away.
“Honey, it’s okay. I promise I’m not mad or upset that it slipped your mind.” Steve comes next to her on the couch, kissing her forehead and wrapping his arm around her. “You’ve had a lot going on, you spent 8 and a half months growing our daughter in your belly, you spent 19 hours in labor and you had such hard labor. You’ve been crushing it with breast feeding since we’ve been home.”
She looks into her husband’s eyes, guilt still riddled on her face. “I’m so sorry, Stevie.”
Steve softly kisses her lips twice, nudging his nose against hers. “Not to be a total goob, but you kind of did give me the best anniversary present of all. You gave me my first born, that’s a pretty good anniversary present.”
She smiles at his words, resting her forehead against his. “You’re such a goob. I promise I’ll make this up to you.”
“No rush, honey. We have a lot more anniversaries in our future for us to celebrate.”
“I love you so much, Stevie.” She kisses his lips, the sudden cry from their daughter interrupting them.
Steve laughs as he pulls away from his wife. “We also have a lot more intimate moments being interrupted by our children to look forward to.”
“Children? How many more children of yours do you think I’m bearing?” She jokes, grabbing the crying infant and quietly shushing her. “This one tried to kill me.”
Steve puts his hands out, requesting the baby from her. She hands him the baby and her spit up rag, smiling from ear to ear as she watches Steve settle her against his chest.
“You think I was kidding when I said I wanted six?” He raises his eyebrows, laughing to himself as he walks out of the room to go change his daughter.
“Steven Harrington, I already said I was not giving birth six times. You’ve lost your mind.” She slowly gets off the couch, following him to finish scolding him.
“You don’t have to give birth six times, we can always try for twins.” He calls back to her, the grin on his face prominent in his words.
Could we also get back stories for Electra and the components and their families?
Love your art❣️❣️❣️
Hoo boy, okay, time to avoid putting off this answer akdbskdje
None of them have like.... "simple" backstories, but talking about the electrics and their backstories in the cartooniverse is definitely the most complicated, because they all tie back to Electra and/or Purse and Krupp. So! I'll start with them!
Another big long post, im so sorry akfnskd
Purse & Krupp
Even though I'm talking about them together, Purse & Krupp didn't know each other or even about each other's existences before being hired to work together. Purse had participated in some shadier money management activities, most of which was under the table work. Trying to get out of that, he applied for a job with a large and well known company and production line, seeking a personal money manager/accountant, legal advisor, and PR rep. Not all the same job for the same person, for the new face of the company. But Purse, feeling cheeky, applied for all three job positions. And then proceeded to land all three of them. Krupp, meanwhile, wasn't anything or anyone special or of note. As an armaments truck, he'd worked part time with public security and part time shuttling things said public security needed back and forth. He was simply looking for a raise, and seeing that this big large company was looking for personal security for the new face of the company, applied, not expecting to get the job. Purse and Krupp met perhaps a week before they met Electra and were given an opportunity to bsck out, as they were still in production when they were hired. Neither Purse or Krupp really processed what their new boss not even being fully built yet meant outside of "Oh, they might be a little naive." (Welcome to fatherhood you two!)
Electra
Electra was factory built specifically for and by the mentioned company that Purse and Krupp were hired by. They had been powered on for perhaps three hours before immediately being shoved in to Purse and Krupp's arms, and then in to their new job. Their entire purpose was to be a pretty face and be convincing for people to want to do business with their company. They didn't work on a line, and they didn't race. Occasionally, they did something more akin to shows, but... never anything that gave them that thrill they'd been seeking. After about 2 years, they made a convincing enough argument to their company to be allowed to participate in a single race-- a decision that the company would later regret, because they'd continue to make arguements to keep entering in races, which they'd always win. Another two years later (so roughly 4 years old total), Electra decided to break off from their parent company to go out on their own in a solo career for racing, having felt so drawn to and called by it. They took Purse and Krupp with them when they did, leaving their company to have to scramble for a new face and employees all over again. Here's some bonus babylectra & their gay dads loyal employees content (both while company owned and on their own)
Wrench
I say this so affectionately, Wrench was a freaky little girl. She was surrogate built for her demolition truck parents, and grew up literally right next to a scrap yard, where she would very happily go play as a kid. She really really liked to take things apart and try to figure out how they worked. Her parents, being demolition trucks who's jobs were also to take things apart, were supportive if not a little concerned by how methodical she was by it, but hey, they guess she's taking an interest in the fsmily business? But one day, while doing her thing and taking scraps apart, she broke her finger and needed to be taken to see a repair truck. And that totally blew her mind. Being able to put things back together?? Oh she NEEDED to be able to do that. She HAD to know how things worked AND be able to make them work. So! Wrench started doing her research to become a repair truck immediately (much to her parents concerned support), despite being far too young to actually begin training. By the time she actually got to her repair training, she was extremely knowledgeable (and morbid-) about diesel and steam engines, as there was so much information out in the world about them. But she was fascinated by the lack of information she could find on electric engines-- so new, constantly changing.... there weren't any experts in her or any of her neighboring yards. So of course, she decided that thats what she wanted to specialize in for repairs, despite not many electric engines passing through her station. (The scrap yard became her best friend during this time.) It was difficult after she became a fully certified repair truck though, due to that lack of electrics passing through her yard and not having the heart to apply for a transfer. She wasn't taken seriously, and frequently wasn't fetched for the few electrics that did need repairs, as the other repair trucks frequently just went ahead and fixed whatever little problem it was-- screw needing tightening, plating reaplications, etc etc. One day, she was called out to one of her neighboring stations though, as there had been a crash on the tracks involving an electric engine-- Electra. When she arrived, rather than just fixing whatever problem was caused by the crash, she also identified and fixed long standing problems they didn't even know they'd had, most of which caused by non electric specialized repair trucks assuming they could fix something minor. She was offered a job as their personal repair truck before she even finished her work that day. Here's a little baby Wrench just starting her repair training & Wrench the day she was hired. She became the first component they'd actually chosen for themself.
Volta
Volta grew up in a bit of a smaller, more conservative yard. The old school traditional freight and coach roles and presentations were more prevelant. So of course, when Volta, as a freight car, started expressing and experimenting with self expression that was viewed as traditionally "more coach-like," caring more for his hair and getting interested in makeup and fashion, he wasn't exactly popular with his peers. Considered too coach-like to get on with the freight, and the coaches unable to see past him being freight and get along. It was rough for the little dude, turning him a bit jaded and snarky at a young age, just out of tje need tor a defense mechanism. It never stopped him, but the constant isolation and judgement did beat him down quite a bit as he made it to adulthood. Meeting Electra, Purse, Krupp, and Wrench was pure coincidence. They were simply passing through a station that was part of his work route at the same time that he was. And he was absolutely enamored with them. They were the first rolling stock he'd seen who's expression of self was so similar to his, how could be not stare? Purse was the one to approach Volta. He wanted to know what shade and brand he used for his eye makeup, and if he thought it would work for Electra. Volta, trying desperately to be more interesting and keep these people talking to him, cracked a joke that they'd have to pay him for a consultation. To his shock, Purse agreed and asked him about prices and appointment times. When Electra & co actually showed up for the consultation, he absolutely faked it until he made it and they were happy with the result. He felt so normal for the first time ever talking to them, that when Electra & co went to leave, he extremely impulsively asked for a job. It was mortifying-- the most embarassing desperate moment of his entire life. Especially when Electra said no. But a moment of weakness and desperation, because several months later Electra returned to offer him a job, looking for a stylist and knowing he was interested. Bonus of of course, baby Volta & Volta the day he was hired
You know the saying "it takes a village?" Replace "village" eith "circus," and say hello to literally Joule. She wae built as an animal car in a circus train, and while even though not everyone was technically her family, that didn't matter because they all behaved like her family. It was generally an extremely positive environment to grow up in. The obvious downsides to being a performer from a young age and having such a large family of course reared their heads, but generally speaking, she wouldn't say she had a bad childhood. She was working and participating in acts before she hit double digits, but... well there wasn't exactly a lack of animal cars, and in her early teen years began to feel like it wouldn't really matter of she were there or not. She isn't really sure what sparked her interest-- perhaps it was just being different from what she was used to-- but she eventually took interest in the art of fire eating. Researching in to that took her down the road of pyrotechnics, and before she knew it, Joule was converting in to a dynamite truck and switching acts. And she loved it. She loved it for a really long time. She still does, actually, but... well. After awhile, it just made her... tired. Being in front of an audience like that was tiring. After shows, she'd always immediately go check and lock and undo everything that if anything went wrong could make everything brust into flames, and by the time she was done, most of the guests who'd stay to chat were already gone or on their way out. Never talking to anyone but her family and doing the same things every day was just... exhausting. Which is why when she returned from her checks after a show one day and found some massihe blue freak and their entourage waiting to talk to her specifically, who hadn't spoken to anyone else, it was extreme pleasantly surprising. More so when they'd ask her challenging questions about her job and hypotheticals about how she'd do something. And even more so when they'd keep coming back. She'd begun to find the most exciting part about performing was trying to spot them in the crowd and speaking with them afterwards, even if the conversations quickly derailed. It hadn't taken long for her to learn that this massive blue freak was a racer-- Electra-- but it took quite awhile for her schedule to line up to go watch them the way they'd kept coming to see her. It was only fair, wasn't it? But when Joule showed up, the atmosphere was so.... familiar, and yet.... different. It was exciting. And the race was exciting. The idea of going that fast was so alluring. She knew she'd want to get more involved in the racing scene. And watching Electra race? They were so cool and hot and powerful, and-- just-- woah. They lived like this? They just went to different places, and they didn't have a set routine when they performed? Extremely enticing. And when Electra saw her in the crowd and waved to her? And then immediately approached her after winning? Insane. It made Joule feel more seen than she had in her entire life. She didn't hesitate in the slightest when they offered her a job. And as per usual, bonus baby Joule & Joule the day she was hired
Killerwatt
Killerwatt's story doesn't actually begin with him-- he doesn't actually show up until late. It actually starts about 2 years before he's built, when Purse and Krupp start to disagree with some of the choices Electra had been making. At first, they kept their mouths shut. It wasn't frequent. They weren't decisions that were big deals. But the more time went on, the bigger deals they were, and eventually, they couldn't keep their mouths shut about it. It started to get bad, with frequent argurments and disagreements, and tension hanging over everyone. Now, with Electra as their own company, their own business, they began to wonder if they really needed Purse and Krupp. They had long since learned to mange their own bank accounts and the legalities of things, and Volta and Joule had honestly taken up most of the social media managing that Purse was supposed to be doing. And fans were respectful-- there hadn't been any threats made other than with fellow racers, of which, Electra could easily handle themself. What was Krupp even doing? But-- sentimentality kept them from firing them. About five months prior to Killerwatt's building, Electra finally decided and told Purse and Krupp that they wouldn't be renewing their contracts. And when asked if they were being replaced, grew extremely concerned that Electra didn't plan to at least replace Krupp. The only reason Electra thought he wasn't doing anything was because he was good enough at his job that the security details never reached them. Purse and Krupp were so undeniably attached to Electra after almost 10 years together, and they were extremely nervous about leaving them with no protection. So the two of them formed a plan. About two weeks before their contracts ended, having waited and timed things as last second as they could so Electra wouldn't notice until after they were gone and it was too late, and while it was still legal due to some fun loopholes Purse found, the two of them pushed through a commission order to a factory. A commission... specifically for a security truck for a Electra. And their plan worked. Electra got the email two weeks after Purse and Krupp left that their security truck would be ready in about a week, and did they want to come choose from the batch themself, or have one randomly selected and sent out to them? (They learned a very hard lesson to check their bank account more frequently that day.) So Electra, after tweaking out over Purse and Krupp spending their money, and on a security truck that they did not want, decided that-- well they wouldn't let this all be a total waste. And it wouldn't be fair for someone to be built to do something and not even have the chance to, they'd offer the smallest timedrame contract they could. So they showed up about two days after the batch had been finished and had time to be told what to expect, as almost all factory built rolling stock get. And... well, none of them really stood out. They were all so well trained in security already that there really wasn't anything that made any of them stand out, and, honestly, Electra was on the verge of just hiring whichever one they thought would clean up best and look good next to the rest of the components. But-- hold on, I actually have a visual for this moment
And I fear then both of their faces were sealed in that moment. Electra had to have this one. He was the only one looking at and following them. And-- well even if he wouldn't be doing much of anything, how could they possibly hire a security truck who wouldn't keep their eyes on them and their safety?? It's now been 3 years, and Electra has since learned his name is Killerwatt, and this was the best hiring decision they could have ever made. Bonus Babywatt doodle, of course, just to show off his pretty curls better
Clone baby AU TimKonBartCassie
Part 1
"Don't be mad."
Tim is more than aware he might not be the most sane, he also is more than aware that sometimes he does things that can be considered rage inducing or morally wrong but he can't say he regrets his choices.
Especially when she's seven pounds four ounces and just holding her makes him ready to burn the whole word down.
A perfect blend of him, Kon, Bart, and Cassie which oddly enough was extremely difficult to do since as it turns out genetic sequencing which is already absurdly complicated gets even worse when you add two more people.
She's perfect.
It was a spur of the moment decision a nightmare that drove him right back into the center of his grief.
He was staring at his previous cloning calculations and for a moment he was so incrediblely selfish.
He wanted a piece of his friends proof in a way of how deeply devoted he is to them. Something that no matter what couldn't be taken from him, something he could love unconditionally.
In a darker part of his mind he admits that the baby, his child who is incredible could have been just his and Kon's a half kryptonian but in his experience that is still too mortal.
But combined with a speedster and demigod he might have just made an unbeatable weapon. Not that his little girl will ever be that, he won't allow it.
"Tim is that a baby?" Kon gasps.
He only had held her for five minutes the greatest thing in the word had only been alive for ten minutes before he raced to titans tower holding his precious cargo.
All of them, the other parents? His friends sitting peacefully watching some program completely unaware of what's he's done. Not that it stayed that way for long.
"Is that Luci?" Bart asks.
All of them turn even Tim completely shocked his entire explanation that he had been planning for the last few hours gone with one sentence.
"Bart do you know this random baby? Also Luci what kind of name is that? Tim why do you have a baby?Cassie demands trying to sound stern but everyone can tell is beyond confused.
Bart who had gotten up walks not an once of speed the calmest any of them have ever seen, over to him a soft smile directed at apperently Luci although Tim agrees wth Cassie it's a weird name and not what he was planning.
"Our son, and Luci is a nickname, and if I'm right Tim just spent the last twenty four-ish hours creating him."
Before he can comprehend half of what Bart just said. Luci?
Is being cradled head perfectly surported by the speedster along with soft cooing from said speedster looking so natural as if fatherhood was created just for him.
Finally he finds his voice.
"Daughter, but Bart is right she's ours."
A giggle interrupts the cooing before a smirk paints Bart's face.
"No it's definitely son but it will be a good few years before he's able to voice that specific issue, not that it's much of an issue with all the money your daddy has isn't that right little lightening?"
And once again Bart is back to being absurdly attractive holding their child that Tim is getting a feeling he had prior knowledge of. Who also is trans? Maybe? which is completely fine of course but back to the whole Bart clearly knows something.
"Imp, ok I get the whole Rob made a baby with our DNA thing. No offense but I'm not exactly surprised Sunshine, your crazy we love that about you, but Bart why are you talking like you already know them."
Kon asks sounding very tired which Tim is a little offended by, he's not crazy.
Also how dare he be so accepting of Tim's cloned child as if this is Tuesday and Tim does this everyday he definitely does not, he's not Batman well ok maybe a little bit like him but still.
Wow Tim is way to sleep deprived if this is his inner monologue right now.
"Because I do. Lilith right? That's the name you had in mind apperently he doesn't actually mind you going with that for now since in his own words it inspires his much scarier name. God I love that kid."
Tim blanks.
He swallows throat suddenly really dry.
"Bart did you go to the future?"
He is trying to process but is now very scared is a time line fractured? Could his child not exist, and nevermind the whole Bart apperently already has insider info on the child his child that Tim just made ten fucking minutes ago.
"Oh no nothing like that."
He laughes out as if Bart hasn't been sitting on life changing information for who knows how long. Which is also extremely hypocritical of him considering secret child and timeline shenanigans that he was just panicking over.
"Our wonderful, gremlin, of a child ran into me actually some evil rouge with Time Travel powers which was a whole thing."
He pauses clearly rejoicing in some memory of their child that again Tim you know his mother wasn't privy to. Even though Tim is a man which would make him Dad but he created the baby so he should have been the first to have fond memories.
"I went to interrupt said fight not knowing and your child, yah Robie he was hundred percent your child, threw a DNA test in my face told me to get out of his way and absolutely demolished the dude before who I believe and I am just speculating here, was your brother's kid grabbed the dude and threw him into some weird portal before vanishing."
Tim is gonna lose his fucking mind his baby who he just created.
Grows up to be a superhero which alright not surprising, but also apperently one of his siblings has a child also not surprising. But they apperently travel through time together and cause chaos how fucking lovely he is starting to feel really guilty about everything with Bruce.
Oh my god he has to tell Bruce. But first.
"Which sibling?"
He doesn't actually know what's he's hoping for maybe Dick's kid yah, a sunshine child, chaotic but nice yah that sounds like a good influence. On once again his twenty minute old son? Daughter something? Whatever baby.
"Well based on the guns, and arrows that were floating around. You also can't forget the helmet I would say that was Arsenal and Red Hood's very own precious bundle but Luci wouldn't give me a straight answer but what would you expect when we raised him."
Tim's tired very tired he doesn't even stop himself from face planting onto the floor. Everything will make more sense after a nap a very long nap.
Oh my god Jason procreated is his last thought before he falls into a nightmare filled sleep.
Christmas Magic - Part 1
[Story Collection] | [●] [Part 2🔴]
The night was quiet as the snow fell over the modest home on Christmas Eve. 25-year-old Mark stood beside the bathroom sink, helping his six-year-old son, Asher, brush his teeth. At 6’3” tall, with broad shoulders and a physique honed through years of building houses, Mark was the living definition of strength and kindness as his face glowed with love for his son.
“Buddy, don’t forget the back ones,” Mark reminded Asher, brushing his own teeth and making exaggerated faces that had the boy giggling despite the froth of toothpaste spilling out of the corner of his mouth.
“Like this, Daddy?” Asher asked, his tiny hand scrubbing at his molars.
“Perfect,” Mark said, ruffling Asher’s golden curls, a mirror image of his own. “You’re going to have the shiniest teeth in town. Santa might see his reflection in them and get jealous.”
Asher’s amber eyes, exactly like Mark’s, widened. “Santa’s coming tonight! Do you think he’ll bring me what I asked for?”
Mark smiled, crouching down to meet his son’s excited gaze. “He might, but only if you’re asleep when he gets here. You know the rules—no peeking until morning.”
Asher pouted playfully but nodded. “Okay, but can you tuck me in? I’ll close my eyes super tight.”
“Of course, bud. Let’s finish up here first,” Mark said, guiding Asher to rinse and spit. The two stood side by side, observing their shared reflection in the bathroom mirror. Asher looked like a miniature version of Mark, down to the tousled blonde hair and warm amber eyes. “All right, little man, off to bed.” Mark turned off the bathroom light and lifted Asher into his arms, effortlessly carrying the boy down the hall.
“Daddy, do you think Santa ever gets tired?” Asher asked, resting his head on Mark’s broad shoulder.
“Maybe a little, but he loves making kids happy. It’s worth it to him,” Mark replied.
“That’s what you do, Daddy. You make me happy,” Asher whispered sleepily.
Mark’s heart swelled. “Yeah, I guess I do. I’d do anything for you, Asher,” he said when they reached Asher’s room. Glow-in-the-dark stars and superhero posters decorated the room. Mark laid Asher gently on the bed, snugly tucking the blankets around him.
“Thanks, Daddy. I can’t wait to see my gift. I’ve been a good boy and sent my letter to Santa,” Asher said, smiling, already half asleep.
“I know. But I don’t know what you asked for. You’ve been keeping it a secret from me,” Mark teased, trying to find out what Asher wanted for Christmas. “What did you ask for?”
Asher softly shook his head. “Can’t tell! Santa knows, and that’s enough.”
Mark laughed softly. “Okay, keep your secrets. Sweet dreams, buddy. You’ll have a lot of presents to open in the morning.” He kissed Asher’s forehead and switched off the bedside lamp, leaving only the soft glow of the stars above. “Love you.”
“Love you too, Daddy,” Asher whispered as his eyes fluttered shut.
Mark watched his son’s peaceful face for a while, getting slightly emotional. He stood in the doorway, his mind drifting to the events that had brought him here. At just 19, a fleeting romance had left him with the unexpected responsibility of fatherhood. The girl hadn’t wanted to stay, and his parents had turned their backs on him and his son. He had to drop out of college and find a job to support his boy. But despite the loneliness and challenges, Mark never regretted his decision to raise Asher alone. The boy was his greatest joy. He was the reason why Mark woke up every morning.
A soft smile spread across Mark’s face as he turned and stepped out. He checked the time—10:00 PM. It was time to set up the presents for Christmas morning. Heading to his closet, he uncovered the stash of gifts hidden beneath a pile of old coats. He carried the brightly wrapped packages to the living room, arranging them carefully under the tree. Looking at the gifts made him smile; he could already picture Asher’s ecstatic reaction. However, he was nervous because he didn’t know what Asher had written in his letter to Santa.
With a yawn, Mark stretched, heading to his bedroom. He was wearing only his Christmas-themed pajama pants, the fabric snug against his powerful legs and hips, highlighting the contours of his muscular butt. His torso was bare, revealing a body honed through years of hard work—broad shoulders that seemed to carry the weight of the world with ease, a powerful chest sculpted with defined pectorals, and arms corded with thick muscle. He had the faint dad bod softness at his midsection, which only enhanced his rugged but huggable appeal.
Mark’s skin had a sun-kissed hue left after long hours spent under open skies. His face, perpetually clean-shaven, was a masterpiece of symmetry and charm, with sharp cheekbones, a strong jawline, and lips that curved naturally into a warm smile. Framing this vision of handsomeness was his thick, golden hair, a perfect complement to the amber glow of his eyes. He was a handsome man, lusted over by men and women, but he didn’t have time for anything apart from caring for his son. Dating was out of the question.
He flopped onto his bed, letting out a sigh. He occasionally felt the weight of loneliness, but his thoughts always returned to Asher, his pride and joy. “I’d do anything to make him happy,” he whispered before drifting off into the stillness of the night.
The quiet didn’t last. Mark awoke to an unusual chill, his eyes fluttering open. The clock on his nightstand glowed, showing 00:00. He sat up, rubbing his arms against the cold that seemed to seep from nowhere. The windows were shut tight, and the snowfall outside was gentle, not enough to explain the sudden drop in temperature. Then, he saw a bright blue light floating in the center of his room. It pulsed, growing larger and more radiant, casting icy tendrils of air across his skin. Mark’s breath hitched as the light expanded into a massive sphere, illuminating every corner of the room.
The sphere shimmered, and a towering figure emerged as it began to fade. Mark’s hand darted to the nightstand lamp, flipping it on. He gasped, his eyes widening in disbelief. Standing before him was a man unlike any he’d ever seen—an absolute colossus, towering at an intimidating seven feet tall. His body was a masterpiece of sheer power and symmetry, with muscles layered upon muscles and a definition that seemed almost inhuman. His chest was broad and thick, like a massive shield, with every ridge of his pectorals perfectly sculpted. Massive shoulders led to arms thicker than Mark’s thighs, and each bicep looked as if it could crush steel. His torso tapered to a deeply chiseled abdomen, where every muscle stood out like the bricks of a fortress wall, and his obliques curved sharply inwards. He looked intimidating.
The man’s thighs were monumental, each as wide as a tree trunk and leading down to calves that seemed carved from marble. He wore only a red fur-trimmed brief, styled like Santa’s costume, which clung to his enormous, muscular hips and showcased a massive bulge that didn’t leave anything to the imagination. A thick black leather belt wrapped around his thick waist, emphasizing the Santa-like style. His dark, neatly styled hair complemented a strikingly handsome face that defied reality—high cheekbones, a strong, square jaw, and a beautiful smile that could melt the North Pole. His piercing, electric blue eyes glowed as if holding some magic, and they locked onto Mark’s with an intensity that sent a shiver down his spine.
Even the man’s skin seemed ethereal, glowing faintly with a warm undertone, and his sheer size and presence filled the room, making Mark feel small for the first time in his life. Mark’s voice caught in his throat as he stared, struggling to process the surreal sight before him. The two locked eyes as Mark froze in disbelief, and the room seemed to hum with a strange and inexplicable energy.
The massive man’s brilliant blue eyes softened as he stepped forward, his sheer size making Mark instinctively lean against the headboard. Mark’s eyes inspected the towering figure up and down as the stranger raised his hands, palms outward, in a gesture of peace. “Please, don’t be afraid,” the man said, with a deep, low voice that had an almost musical quality that eased some of Mark’s tension. “I haven’t come to hurt you or Asher.”
Mark’s brow furrowed as his protective fatherly instincts kicked in. “How do you know my son’s name?” he asked angrily. “Who are you?”
The giant of a man offered a gentle smile, his face expressing peace despite his imposing stature. “I know because Asher has been writing letters to me. Well, to my father. But since we work closely together, I’ve taken it upon myself to answer his wish.”
“Your father?” Mark asked, still unconvinced. “Listen, I don’t know who you are or what you’re trying to pull, but if you don’t explain yourself, you’re out of here.” It was an empty threat, and Mark knew it. He glanced at the man’s colossal biceps, each nearly as thick as Mark’s waist. There was no way he could actually “kick him out,” but Mark wasn’t about to let his guard down entirely. Not yet.
The man chuckled softly, his massive shoulders shaking, not offended by Mark’s challenge. He was impressed instead. “My apologies,” the man said kindly, inclining his head. “Let me introduce myself properly. My name is Nick, and I’m one of Santa’s closest helpers. Together, we fulfill wishes—especially those from good kids and adults who have been kind and generous throughout the year.”
Mark blinked, trying to process the words. “Santa? Like... Santa Claus? Is he real?”
Nick nodded, his smile widening. “Yeah, he’s real. He’s only ‘Dad’ to me, but yeah, the great and mythical Santa Claus. And tonight, I’m here because Asher made a very special wish. One I felt needed a personal touch.”
“Santa’s your dad?!” Mark’s defensiveness faltered, replaced by confusion and curiosity. “Wait, Asher’s wish? What did he ask for?”
Instead of answering outright, Nick extended a hand. Ten sheets of paper appeared in his grasp, materializing out of thin air in a shimmer of soft golden light. He handed them to Mark, who hesitated briefly before taking them. The papers had Asher’s unmistakable scrawl, with slightly crooked letters and uneven spacing.
Mark read the first aloud: “Dear Santa, I’ve been a good boy. I only want one thing: a little brother.” This text was on all ten sheets. The sheer simplicity of the request made Mark chuckle. He rubbed a hand over his face as he sighed. “That kid… He’s been talking about having a little brother for months. One of the moms in his class just had a baby, and Asher’s classmate talks about it constantly. And Asher is going crazy about also having a little brother. I didn’t think he’d actually write it to Santa.”
Nick’s smile remained. “Well, he did. And I thought it was a wish worth granting.”
Mark shook his head, laughing. “Look, I’d love to give Asher everything he wants, but I can’t make that happen. I don’t even have a girlfriend, let alone the time to date.” He gestured toward the empty side of the bed. “I’m a single dad, Nick. I’m doing my best, but this one’s out of my hands.”
Nick stepped closer, the floor creaking faintly under his immense weight. “Christmas is a time for miracles, Mark. That’s why I’m here—to help.”
Mark arched an eyebrow. “Help? How exactly do you plan to do that?”
With a smile, Nick extended his hand again. This time, a beautifully decorated Christmas cookie appeared, its surface adorned with intricate red, green, and gold icing patterns. The scent of cinnamon, vanilla, and sugar wafted through the air. “Some very talented friends of mine made this. It’s a special cookie—part of the magic that will make Asher’s wish come true.”
Mark stared at the cookie, then back at Nick. “You’re saying this cookie does what? Creates a baby brother out of thin air?”
“Not quite,” Nick said with a wink. “It’s more of a catalyst. The real magic comes from what happens next. You eat this cookie, and we’ll go the old-fashioned way to get you pregnant. You know what I mean?” Nick said, gesturing at his enormous bulge.
“WHAT?!” Mark shouted, his mind racing. “No, no, dude! I’ll stop you there. Look, I was eating your story until you lost your mind. I’m a man. I don’t know how things are in the North Pole, but last time I checked, men can’t get pregnant.”
“I know. But I told you, Christmas is a time for miracles, and this cookie will make the impossible possible. Believe me. My friends have used this, and I’ve lost count of how many babies they’ve had. Oh, and they’re men,” Nick responded, playfully emphasizing his low voice when he said ‘men.’
Mark stared in disbelief, struggling to process the information. Part of him thought Nick was crazy, but deep down, he knew Nick was telling the truth. The sheer absurdity of the situation should have made him laugh or demand Nick leave immediately, but Mark couldn’t help but feel that this was real. He thought of Asher, remembering the boy’s bright smile and unwavering belief in Santa. He remembered the many times Asher had asked Mark to give him a little brother.
“But I—” Mark said, pondering his options.
Nick’s deep voice broke through his thoughts. “You’ve always said you’d do anything for Asher. Isn’t that right?”
Mark hesitated. “I did say that,” he admitted, his voice softer now. Mark looked at the cookie again, then at Nick, and something else ignited inside his body. Despite the absurdity of the entire situation, Mark felt a flicker of hope—a chance to give Asher the one thing he’d been dreaming about. And simultaneously, a chance to have some intimacy with the most muscular man he had ever seen. Mark had been alone for years, and now the perfect specimen of manhood was willing to spend the night with him.
“I promise I’ll be gentle. Believe me, I didn’t come here to hurt you. But you’ve been a great man, and your son is in the top 10 of the good boys list,” Nick said, gesturing at Asher’s letters in Mark’s hand. “Also, I know we’ll enjoy this.”
“You’re quite a persuasive man, Nick.” Mark took a deep breath and nodded. “Let’s do this,” he said, willing to make Asher happy and also enjoy Nick’s cock.
Nick’s smile broadened, his entire face lighting up with genuine joy. “You’re making a wonderful choice, Mark. I promise you won’t regret it.”
Mark reached out and took the cookie, its warmth surprising against his fingers. As he brought it to his lips, he couldn’t help but glance back at Nick’s towering frame, feeling safe and excited. Whatever magic this was, he trusted that Nick would ensure everything turned out right. The cookie melted in his mouth, its flavor a perfect blend of holiday spices and sweetness, and a soft warmth spread through him. Looking up, he saw Nick watching him with a smile.
“Now what?” Mark asked innocently but well aware of what was coming.
“Oh, I think you know what’s coming. Let the magic begin,” Nick said, clapping his hands and making his briefs disappear. “Remove your pajamas, Mark.”
Mark’s jaw dropped as he saw Nick’s briefs disappearing, revealing a 2-foot-long, soft cock and a pair of basketball-sized balls. “How? What? That thing’s not going to fit inside me.”
“It will, don’t worry. That’s part of the magic in the cookie,” Nick said, approaching the bed as Mark reached for the waistband of his pajama pants and slowly pushed them lower to reveal his wide hips, thick bubble butt, bull balls, and 6-inch-long soft cock. “I’ll admit I’m impressed, Mark. You are a very attractive man, and that butt looks nice. You could have any man or girl you wanted, but lucky me, you’re mine tonight.”
Mark chuckled as Nick climbed onto the bed, making the mattress creak and sink under his immense weight. Nick crawled up until he was right above Mark, looming a massive shadow over him. Mark felt tiny compared to Nick, and he couldn’t resist the urge to reach up and caress the huge man’s enormous pecs. Mark’s hands explored the hills and valleys on Nick’s torso, making the big man smile.
“Wow! You’re gigantic,” Mark mumbled, barely able to process Nick’s massive size. “So big everywhere.”
“Thanks. I could always help you get this big, but that’s a task for another day,” Nick said, winking at Mark and tightly pushing his body against him. “So, are you ready?”
Mark swallowed hard, looking down as he felt Nick’s massive cock hardening against him. The fuck tool was so enormous that Mark thought it was all a dream. “I am, but I don’t think this will work. I don’t think it’ll fit. I’ve never... you know—been with a man.”
Nick grinned and leaned to kiss Mark’s lips. “Don’t worry. I’ll be gentle, and the cookie will do the rest,” Nick said, slowly lifting Mark’s legs into position. “We only trust the magic.”
Their eyes locked into each other as Nick lined his now-four-foot-long cock with Mark’s hole. Nick pushed softly as the massive head of his cock came in contact with Mark’s entrance, making the smaller man moan and shiver. Mark took a deep breath in preparation for what was coming, fearing the pain that it would bring if the cock even got inside him. Nick pushed harder and felt Mark’s hole gaping for him before it opened to allow the massive fuck tool inside.
“Oh, fuck!” Mark shouted, unable to contain his moans as the enormous cock stretched him, making him feel the most intense and painless pleasure he had ever experienced. “You’re so big!” He added, partly surprised and partly asking for more.
“I know. Thanks for noticing,” Nick replied as he continued burying inch after inch of his massive cock into the moaning single dad. “How do you feel?”
“Good! It feels fantastic!” Mark mumbled, breathing heavily and closing his eyes in overwhelming pleasure. “I—I love it.”
“Told you. Christmas is a time for miracles.” Nick grinned, and his hips bucked hard once his whole cock had disappeared into Mark’s willing hole. “And honestly, your ass is the best I’ve ever had. The list isn’t long, but still, you’re the best.”
Mark smiled and reached for Nick’s enormous arms for support as the massive man pounded hard into him. They locked eyes as the fucking intensified, the room disappearing as the magic flowed between them. Mark could feel Nick’s enormous cock stretching him beyond what he thought was possible, but he could only long for more. He knew the plan was to give Asher the little brother he wanted, but Mark loved the baby-making process. It was a much-needed intimacy for a man who had been alone for so long.
Nick’s thrusts sped up, making the bed creak, and Mark’s moan grew louder. The huge man loved how Mark’s butt felt against his body, and deep down, he wanted to spend the whole night with this man. Nick had been doing things like this for years to grant adults their wishes, but this time was different. He had never gotten a man pregnant, at least not with his own seed, but Mark was special. Mark was a wonderful dad who would do anything for his son, but apart from the emotional side of the plan, Nick found Mark so hot that deep down, he couldn’t help but desire to stay for a while longer.
Nick’s massive cock felt so good that Mark’s 9-inch-long cock throbbed hard even without getting touched. It wasn’t long before Mark curled his toes and shot a massive cum-load all over his own abdomen, accompanied by a loud moan. But still, he was so horny that his cock stayed hard as Nick continued pounding hard. Mark couldn’t articulate words; his mind was foggy with pleasure, and his body only desired more.
“I hope you’re ready; I’m so close,” Nick said, taking Mark out of his pleasure-induced trance. “After this, there won’t be a turning point. You will be pregnant,” he gently said.
“DO IT!” Mark responded, and Nick immediately released a tsunami of cum that made Mark groan as his belly bloated like a balloon. “Fuck! So much! So much! Yes!” Mark shouted as he felt Nick’s warm cum coating his insides, making him feel so good that his cock exploded with another load.
*
Mark lay on his bed a while later, looking at the ceiling, his chest heavily rising and falling as he struggled to catch his breath. The recent events played over in his mind like a vivid dream, leaving him blinking repeatedly in awe and disbelief. His body felt heavier, his slight dad-gut now swollen and firm to the touch, a noticeable fullness pressing outward. Mark’s hands instinctively moved to caress the gentle curve of his belly, his fingers grazing the taut skin as he tried to process what had just happened. He felt full—full of Nick’s cum and full of joy.
Nick lay beside him, his massive frame taking up a significant portion of the bed. He reached over, his warm hand resting gently atop Mark’s belly. The soft motion of his fingers tracing soothing circles sent a wave of comfort through Mark. “Everything is going to be okay,” Nick kindly said. “You’ve done so much for Asher already, and now you’re giving him something he’s wished for with all his heart.”
Mark exhaled slowly, still unable to fully comprehend the situation. “This… it’s all so unreal. How is this even possible?” He asked, looking to his side to observe Nick’s massive, soft cock resting over his tight. The monster was now soft, but Mark still couldn’t believe that something so big had been inside him only a few minutes before.
Nick smiled, his blue eyes shining bright. “Christmas magic has its ways. For now, you need to rest. Sleep is important for the magic to do its work. By the morning, Asher’s wish will be fulfilled, and everything will make sense.”
Mark’s brows furrowed, a flicker of concern crossing his face. “How… How is this supposed to happen? Will it hurt?”
Nick’s hand didn’t falter in its soothing motion. “The magic cookie started everything, and now your body is adapting. You’ll experience everything in one night, including labor. It won’t be easy, but the magic will guide you through. You’ve got strength beyond what you realize.”
Mark swallowed hard, his heart pounding hard at the mention of labor. “Labor? That’s…”
“Painful,” Nick admitted, “but temporary. The magic will ensure you can handle it. Trust me. By tomorrow night, you’ll look back on this and know it was worth it.”
Mark hesitated, his gaze lingering on Nick’s calm demeanor. He was scared but knew he could trust the man despite the overwhelming strangeness of the situation. “Okay,” he responded, his eyelids growing heavier.
Nick leaned in, gently kissing Mark’s lips. “Good. I wish I could stay, but I have a long night ahead. Rest now. Your body needs all the energy it can get to grow the babies.”
Mark’s eyes were already closing when he caught the last word. “Why did you say babies?” he mumbled sleepily.
Nick chuckled softly. “Asher asked for a little brother, but he wrote ten letters. I came here to grant him everything he asked for. Don’t worry; you’ll manage. I’ll return in the morning to help.”
Those were the last words Mark heard before sleep overtook him. The room felt suddenly cold again as Mark drifted off, his breathing evening out.
♡ a hunter's journey to fatherhood ⎯⎯ dean winchester.
📖 LIBRARY !
WARNING(S). slight angst | hurt comfort | f!reader | anxiety | self-doubt | dean's fear of failure as a new father | emotional vulnerability | moments of crying | mentions of childhood trauma (a big FUCK U 2 john winchester) | alcohol use (though not excessively) | avoidance | isolation | pregnancy.
kari talks ◞ i saw these gifs of dean n mildred pop up on my feed this morning so i had to write something w a lil fluffy angst <3 don't hate me bc it does have a happy ending !!! + this may sound rushed, has not much dialogue at the end, n repetitive :) my apologies !
dean winchester is an anxiety-riddled mess.
you’ve always known he’s carried the weight of the world on his shoulders, but ever since you told him you were pregnant, he’s been distant. not outright cold, but the kind of distant that eats at you—quiet moments stretched too long, averted gazes, and excuses to leave the room.
it hurts.
you knew dean had his doubts about himself; he’s never been shy about the scars his childhood left behind. but you didn’t expect him to pull away like this.
every time you thought about asking him where he stood—whether he was happy, scared, or maybe regretting it altogether—you stopped yourself. you didn’t want to burden him more than he already seemed to be.
so you busied yourself with little things, distracting yourself by cleaning the house, organizing your shared bedroom, or just sitting on the couch with a book, hoping he’d come around.
but tonight, dean isn’t home.
he’d slipped out a few hours ago, mumbling something about needing air. you didn’t push. you’d seen the tension in his jaw, the way his hands flexed and tightened at his sides like he didn’t know what to do with them.
what you didn’t know was that dean had driven into town, parked the impala outside the local dive bar, and gone inside to drown his thoughts in whiskey.
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
the bar was dimly lit and half-empty, perfect for someone who didn’t want to be noticed.
dean sat at the counter, nursing his third drink, his mind spinning.
he couldn’t stop thinking about it. about you. about the baby.
him, a dad.
he snorted bitterly into his glass. what the hell did he know about being a father? he’d barely survived his own childhood. john winchester had been a lot of things—strong, determined, relentless—but a good dad? not even close.
and what if dean turned out just like him?
the thought made his chest tighten, panic clawing at his throat.
he closed his eyes, swallowing hard. the whiskey wasn’t helping; it was only making his emotions come faster, harder.
he slammed a couple of bills on the bar top and left, walking out into the cool night air.
he sat in the impala, gripping the steering wheel as his breath hitched.
and then it hit him—hot tears stinging his eyes, rolling down his cheeks before he could stop them.
he wiped at his face angrily, cursing under his breath.
what the hell is wrong with me?
but then, through the fog of his thoughts, he remembered mildred baker.
she’d helped him and sam on a hunt years ago, and she’d been one of the few people who’d ever managed to get through to him. she was kind, wise, and had this way of making you feel like everything was going to be okay, even when it felt like the world was falling apart.
before he could second-guess himself, he started the car and drove to her place.
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
mildred greeted him with the warmth he hadn’t realized he needed.
“dean winchester,” she said with a smile, stepping aside to let him in. “to what do i owe the pleasure?”
he hesitated for a moment, standing in her doorway like a lost kid.
“uh... sorry for showing up so late,” he mumbled, scratching the back of his neck. “i just... i didn’t know where else to go.”
she frowned slightly, concern flickering across her face, but she didn’t ask questions.
“come on in,” she said gently, motioning for him to sit on the couch.
once they were seated, mildred folded her hands in her lap and waited patiently.
“so,” she said after a beat, her voice soft. “what’s got you all tied up in knots?”
and that’s when it all came tumbling out.
words spilled from dean’s mouth faster than he could stop them—about you, about the baby, about how terrified he was of screwing everything up.
“i just... i don’t know how to do this,” he admitted, his voice cracking slightly. “hell, i don’t even know if i can do this. what if i screw the kid up? what if i screw her up? she deserves better than me. they both do.”
mildred listened quietly, her expression soft but unreadable.
when he finally stopped, his chest heaving slightly from the emotional release, she reached over and placed a hand on his arm.
“dean,” she said gently, her voice steady. “you’re not your father.”
his head snapped up at that, his green eyes wide and vulnerable.
“but what if i am?” he whispered.
she smiled softly, shaking her head.
“you’re not,” she said firmly. “you’ve already proven that by coming here tonight. you care, dean. you care so much it’s eating you alive. and that’s what makes you different. john winchester loved you boys, but he didn’t know how to show it. you do. and that’s all that matters.”
dean swallowed hard, his throat tight.
“but what if i mess up?” he asked, his voice small.
“you will,” she said with a chuckle. “because that’s what parents do. we mess up. we’re human. but as long as you love that baby and love itd mama, you’ll figure it out.”
her words settled over him like a warm blanket, easing some of the tension in his chest.
“you’re gonna be a great dad, dean,” she said, her voice soft. “just follow your heart.”
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
later that night, after mildred helped him sober up, dean drove back home.
the house was quiet when he walked in, the only sound coming from the soft clinking of dishes in the kitchen.
he followed the sound, stopping in the doorway when he saw you standing at the sink.
you were wearing one of his old flannels, the sleeves rolled up as you washed the few remaining dishes from dinner.
he leaned against the doorframe, watching you for a moment.
god, you were beautiful.
even now, with your hair slightly messy and your focus on the task in front of you, you took his breath away.
he took a deep breath, gathering his courage, and stepped toward you.
you didn’t notice him at first, too lost in your own thoughts.
it wasn’t until he wrapped his arms around you from behind that you startled slightly, your body tensing before relaxing into his embrace.
“baby,” you said softly, your hands stilling in the soapy water.
he buried his face in the crook of your neck, breathing you in.
“where’ve you been?” you asked, your voice gentle but cautious. “are you okay?”
“yeah,” he said, his voice muffled against your skin. “i’m okay.”
you didn’t push for more, not when he mentioned he’d gone to see mildred.
instead, you leaned into him, letting his warmth settle around you like a shield.
he rubbed small circles on your stomach, his lips brushing against your neck.
and for the first time in weeks, you felt a flicker of hope.
but when you opened your mouth to ask him where he stood on the baby, he didn’t let you speak.
instead, he started rambling, the words tumbling out in a rush.
he told you how scared he was, how he’d been afraid he’d ruin everything, that he’d turn out like his dad or disappoint you.
“but i want this, sweetheart,” he said finally, his voice breaking slightly. “i want you. and i want this baby. i just... i needed to figure out how to not screw it up.”
tears stung your eyes as you turned to face him, cupping his face in your hands.
“dean,” you said softly, your voice thick with emotion. “you could never be like him. you love so much, sometimes too much. you’re going to be an amazing dad. i know it.”
he closed his eyes, leaning into your touch as a single tear slid down his cheek.
“thank you, baby,” he whispered.
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
after you’d finished the dishes, you drew a bath for the both of you.
you knew he’d been sore and achy from a recent hunt, and you figured the warm water would help.
he sat behind you in the tub, his arms resting on either side of the rim as you leaned back against his chest.
you brought the soapy cloth to your chest, letting the warmth soothe you before handing it to him.
he took it, running it over his own chest before reaching down to gently rub your shoulders.
the quiet intimacy of the moment was enough to ease both your minds, the tension of the past few weeks melting away.
when the water started to cool, dean helped you out of the tub, wrapping a fluffy towel around you before leaning down to kiss your stomach.
you weren’t even showing yet, but the gesture made your heart swell.
he wrapped a towel around himself, and the two of you went through your nightly routines before climbing into bed.
dean was already lying down when you joined him, his hands behind his head as he waited for you.
you turned off the lights and crawled into bed, settling on top of him with your head on his chest.
his hand rested on your lower back, the other cradling the back of your head as he pressed a soft kiss to your hair.
the two of you talked quietly about what to expect, about names and nurseries and everything in between.
and when you finally drifted off to sleep, wrapped in his arms, you knew everything was going to be okay.
because dean winchester was going to be the best damn dad in the world.
Noona I have toughts and need to share them before they forever get lost in the void that is my AuHD brain. I also realised I never introduced myself, you can call be eevee (like the pokemon) and I go by any pronouns!
Simon Riley didnt want to have children. Its not that he didn't like children, he was actually quite fond of them and something inside him melted when ever a chubby cheeked tolder smiled up at him with their little teeth poking through and when a lost child came up to him when he was out shopping and asked him to help find their parents because he was the tallest person there and that obviously meant he could find them easier, he was bending down to the childs level his eyes soft and warm as he asked their names and what they looked like. He was constantly in awe of the little humans who just saw him as a man, not the monester he believed he was in his mind. What stopped him from having children was fear.
Fear he would turn out like his own father, fear that something would happen that would trigger him (because lets be real, the mans a vet and he sure as hell suggees from PTSD) and he would do something he would regret. Fear that he would be sent on a mission and be lost forever, no one knowing where he was or where his body is and he wouldn't make it home to his partner and kids. Fear of raising them wrong or doing the wrong thing and they turn into monsters themselves. It was a fear so strong that he went and got a vasectomy at the age of 18 to prevent any accidents and even with the vasectomy he insists on another form of birth control before he has sex with anyone.
Then he meets you. All soft and sweet and kind and bright. So so bright. All his life has been a dark cloud and rolling thunder clouds just waiting to burst and drown him in their water, but you are like a hint of sun shining through the clouds. Reminding him that every dark day has its end, that even after a storm there is brightness and colour with rainbows. That even if the clouds burst and dark, heavy rain drenches his soul there is still goodness in the world and the sun will always be there to dry and brighten the world again. And he falls in love and for the first time in a long time, he is truly happy.
You obviously know Simon didn't want kids, it was something he told you when you first started dating but it wasn't a deal breaker, you weren't even sure you wanted kids either. You had your own trauma and darkness to work through before you wanted to even start thinking about kids.
After learning more about Simon and his past, you manage to talk him into seeing a trauma therapist. You knew therapy wasn't for everyone but you wanted him to at least try because there were parts of himself he kept so deeply locked away behind stainless steel doors with reinforced padlock that he needed to discuss with someone and he wouldn’t talk about it with you, he didnt want his darkness to dampen your light, but he agreed. He did one session and then another and then another, actually finding benefit in them as he discussed his fears out in the open for the first time. About what he had been through with his dad and as a soldier. He knew bottling everything up didnt help, usually finding solace for his overwhelming thoughrs in a bottle of whiskey that msde the world disappear, he knew it made him for volitaile and dangerous and he didnt want to be dangerous around you, not now. Not ever. He wanted you to expeirnce the same sense of peace ans safety with him as he did you.
Eventually he worked through his fears of fatherhood and having children, realising that he could break the cycle and be the dad he didnt have. He wants to discuss it with you, the potential of having his vasectomy reversed, especially after Johnnys missus has a baby and he sees how good you are with them. Holding them so comfroably in your arms and soothing them when they fuss and hes even surprised with how good he is with them. Able to hold them in one arm, tight against his chest so the baby can hear his heartbeat. You watch him with a small smile, your heart melting at the sight as you feel yourself falling in love with him all over again. After that day you two become the designated baby sitters for the littlest MacTavish and Simon takes to caring for it like a fish in water.
Its a few months later, after Johnny picks his baby up that you overhear Johnny ask Simon about having his own little one and Simon says he's been thinking about it, been thinking about having his vasectomy reversed and giving you the baby you deserve (because he has noticed the sad look in your eyes everytime you give the little one back to his parents and how happy you ar holding them in your arms). Johnny reassurs him that hes nothing to worry about, hed be a great father and hes sure that youd agree. So that night, after showers and dinner he brings it up and he assures you hes doing it because he wants to. Because he wants to have a baby and not just because you seem to want one and when tou agree, hed phoning the clinic the next morning to get his vasectomy reversed and you're phoning to get your birthcontrol stopped
Once its done, it takes a maximum of three months before you're pregnant and Simon stands with you in the bathroom waiting for the results to come up on the test. Hes hand holding yours and his heart beating erratically in his chest as five minutes seems like five hours and as soon as the test shows positive hes sweeping you up into his arms and thanking you over and over between kisses for giving him a baby, tears prick at his eyelids but dont quite fall
But when you're little girl, Aurora, is born he cries. His heart is just so full of love for the little girl in his arms and for you that he can't help the emotions from spilling over.
So yeah, Simon Riley didnt want kida but he is so damn glad he meet you and he did
this is so wholesome and cute and sweet?? i love it so so so much omfg thank you for sending this in! girldad!simon means everything to me <333
mano mažylė Pt. 2
pairing: platonic! hannibal lecter x gender neutral reader tags: leaving was the best choice, hannibal unable to handle feelings, chiron is over his drama, dead abigail, part 3 coming soon
Distance makes the heart grow fonder—a sentiment you didn’t share one bit.
When you left home with nothing but a bag of clothes and some money, a hint of regret settled in your bones, heavy and unwelcome. The image of your last act before leaving—the angry, desperate scrawl of I HATE YOU on the mirror—lingered in your mind. How could you have left Hannibal with nothing more than those words? How could you have reduced everything he had done for you—the home he provided, the security, the life most would envy—to that final, hateful declaration?
But then, as you sat on a train heading to nowhere in particular, watching the world blur past the window, you realized it really didn’t matter.
Hannibal wouldn’t miss you. He wouldn’t sit in the silence of that house and long for your return. No, if anything, he was probably relieved. Now that you were gone, he could fully embrace his twisted vision of fatherhood with Abigail. The unwanted thing had finally removed itself from the picture, leaving space for someone more deserving.
The thought hurt more than it should have, but it also encouraged you to keep wedging distance between you and Hannibal. Perhaps you had been a burden, but maybe—just maybe—this could be the first time you made him proud. The first time he would be thankful for something you did. And that was enough. Enough for you to settle back into the stiff train seat, exhale softly, and close your eyes.
In the months following your escape, you found a modest studio apartment with creaking floors and a single window overlooking a busy street. It was cramped, but it was yours. The landlord didn’t ask too many questions, and the rent was low enough that you could afford it by working at a local bookshop. Between the dusty shelves, the soft hum of customers chatting, and the friendly banter with your new coworkers, you slowly built a life that felt…normal.
But that comfort was disrupted soon enough. It was late on a cold Wednesday night. You had just finished closing the shop, the last customer having left half an hour prior. The street outside was nearly empty, save for a few cars idling at the traffic light. As you clicked off the lights and locked the door behind you, your breath plumed in the crisp air.
That’s when you saw her.
A woman stepped out from the shadows beneath a flickering streetlamp. She wore a long, tailored coat that looked far too expensive for this part of town. Her hair was meticulously styled, and there was an air of quiet confidence about her posture. She stopped a few paces from you, lifting her chin in greeting.
“Excuse me,” she said softly. “I’m looking for—” She spoke your name.
Instantly, your stomach dropped. The key in your hand felt suddenly heavy. You glanced around, but there was no one else on the sidewalk. “Who wants to know?” you asked, forcing your voice to remain calm.
She offered a polite, practiced smile. “My name is Chiron. I’ve been sent by Dr. Lecter. I’m sure you can guess as to why.”
Your heart pounded in your chest. Of course you could guess why. Chiron took a step closer, holding out her hands as if to show she meant no harm. “He wants you to come home,” she said gently. “He’s worried, and—”
“Worried?” You barked a laugh that sounded more bitter than amused. “You’re joking, right? Hannibal Lecter doesn’t do worried.”
She seemed unfazed by your scorn. “He cares about you more than you know. He…regrets things. He wants to make amends.”
“Amends,” you repeated. “Let me guess: he wants to show me how sorry he is by offering me a nice meal, maybe a glass of wine, and some carefully chosen words about ‘family.’” You swallowed, the taste of your own sarcasm nearly choking you. “I’m not interested.”
Chiron exhaled slowly. She reached into her coat pocket and produced a sealed envelope, dark red wax pressed into an elaborate seal. “He asked me to give you this. Please read it. If you don’t believe me, see for yourself how he feels.”
Your gaze shifted to the envelope, but you made no move to take it. “Burn it,” you said coldly. “I left for a reason. That hasn’t changed.”
“Listen,” she pressed, her voice taking on a more urgent tone, “I know you’re angry—”
“Angry?” you cut in, clenching your jaw. “Oh, I’m beyond angry. I gave him years of my life, hoping he’d see me as anything more than an accessory. And the one time I needed him to notice—” You stopped, your breath trembling, memories flashing of Abigail being hugged so tenderly by Hannibal. “He chose someone else. So yeah, angry doesn’t even begin to cover it.”
Chiron’s expression softened. “He wasn’t trying to replace you. Abigail was...complicated. She needed help—”
“So did I,” you snapped. “And guess whose help I didn’t get?”
Silence stretched between you, weighted with everything you left unsaid. Finally, Chiron stepped back, slipping the envelope into your coat pocket anyway. You glared, but she ignored it, her tone quiet and careful. “He’s hurting in your absence. He thought he was protecting you.”
“Protecting me,” you repeated, voice dripping with sarcasm. You shook your head and turned on your heel. “Tell him I don’t care what he feels. I’m not going back.” You walked off, not bothering to watch as Chiron remained behind, the glow of the streetlight flickering over her motionless figure. By the time you glanced over your shoulder, she was gone—as if she’d been nothing but a phantom in the night.
Far away, in that house you once called home, Hannibal Lecter was unraveling.
When you first left, he tried to maintain his usual routine. He prepared elaborate meals for carefully chosen guests, kept his appointments, and played the perfect host. But the silence in his home weighed heavily, like an echo that wouldn’t fade. You were missing. The one variable he had never intended to lose.
Abigail Hobbs was still there, at first. The girl who had unknowingly stirred the pot of jealousy. She tried to tiptoe around Hannibal, sensing his growing agitation. One evening, she found him sitting at the dining table, staring at a stack of your drawings—yes, the ones you thought he’d thrown away. His fingers traced the edges of the paper with a tenderness she had never witnessed before.
“Dr. Lecter?” she said quietly, stepping forward.
He lifted his gaze, dark eyes filled with something close to sorrow—but also a mounting fury. “Do you know,” he said, almost conversationally, “that these were drawn when they were four? And yet, you could see the hope in every stroke, every color they chose.”
Abigail swallowed. “I didn’t mean to come between you and—”
“Didn’t you?” He rose slowly, placing the drawings down with precise care. “I saw the way they looked at me after you arrived. As though I’d betrayed them. Perhaps I did.”
“I didn’t ask for your attention. I was just—”
“You existed,” Hannibal finished, his voice low and dangerous. “You came into my home, accepted my care. Took something that wasn’t yours to take.”
Abigail’s eyes widened, realizing too late the shift in his demeanor—a predator uncoiling. “Please, Dr. Lecter, I never wanted—”
Her words were cut off by the abrupt movement of Hannibal’s hand. He struck her with a force that sent her stumbling back. Dazed, she tried to stand, tried to speak, but Hannibal was already upon her, calm and methodical.
“This is not your fault,” he murmured, voice eerily gentle as he pinned her to the table. “But you are the catalyst. And for that, I cannot forgive you.”
In the final moments, Abigail tried to plead, to find some spark of mercy in his eyes. She found none. Hannibal dispatched her with the same detached elegance he reserved for his darkest practices. The dining room was silent save for his steady breathing. When it was done, he stood there, gaze flicking to the scattered drawings that had fallen from the table in the struggle. A few were stained now, the colors warped by splatters of red. He picked one up, turning it over in his hands.
It was a child’s drawing of the two of you, hand in hand.
Hunter is probably going to die this season.
You know I’ve theorized this if you’ve been following me since Season 1. As the season keeps rolling out, the more and more I really do think this will happen.
We know that the ending will be bittersweet, and we know that the emotions behind the ending has a lot to do with fatherhood in particular (according to DBB)
They are putting a huge emphasis on Crosshair and Omega’s relationship. Particularly how he could fill a paternal role for her. Omega mirroring Crosshair is a huge sign to not only us as the audience, but to Hunter as well, that Crosshair can (and will) become a father figure to her. They didn’t have to show us that Hunter noticed Omega mimicking Crosshair. But they did. They’re masterfully crafting that something is going on in Hunter’s head. He’s thinking about Crosshair and Omega’s relationship, and what that could mean.
Crosshair still has a long way to go in regards to his guilt. They could easily have him sacrifice himself at the end to ultimately quell all of his guilt, but I believe that they’re going the route of subverting everyone’s expectations. Crosshair could sacrifice himself for full redemption (like they do with most Star Wars characters) and he probably would given the chance. But story wise, he doesn’t really need to.
If they were planning to go that route, he wouldn’t have been reintroduced to and accepted by the group so early on in the season.
They are actively showing Crosshair paving the way to his redemption. He’s putting in the work. He is protective, helpful, and actively putting himself in danger for the benefit of his family. He’s redeeming himself already. Him dying isn’t necessary to resolve his story. In fact, I think it would diminish the power behind his change. People can make bad decisions. They can hurt others. They can change. And they can live to see happier days. That is hope. And that is always the overarching theme of Star Wars.
Hunter, on the other hand, has been incredibly uncertain and indecisive throughout the entire show. Where Crosshair knows and acts on his decisions, whether good or bad, Hunter has been unsure of himself and his role in everything. His path is way less cut and dry. It almost feels like, in many ways, he has lost his leadership. And he feels it. He regrets his decisions. He probably blames himself for everything bad that has happened. He clearly doesn’t fully trust himself to keep his family safe.
How can his story be resolved, short of him simply finally deciding to take a stand and fight for the other clones?
By giving up his life for his family, for a cause he never wanted to be a part of, as a leader should. So they can go on and live the life he so desperately wants for them.
I don’t think at this point in the story Hunter would allow anyone else to sacrifice themselves. He would stop it from happening. He’s learned from his mistakes.
My theory is that we will see more and more instances of Hunter recognizing Omega’s growing relationships with others, especially Crosshair. And when the time finally comes, he’ll be able to let go of needing to be her primary protector. He’ll see the growth in her, and in his brothers, and finally trust that they’ll be okay. Whether he sacrifices himself or gets mortally injured in a fight/accident, he will be at peace.
I don’t know if his death will be ambiguous or unseen, like him dying in an explosion or something like that, or if it will be more obvious.
I could see him having a Fives-esque death. Where he can say goodbye to his family, and finally pass off the responsibility he held so close to his heart to Crosshair and his brothers.
And if Tech really is dead, he won’t have to be alone anymore.
They’d put Hunter’s helmet above his grave, the last real symbol of the Bad Batch, and a last goodbye to the Clone Wars (since his helmet resembles the regs’ helmets the most)
They’d leave Tech’s goggles on his grave (if Tech stays dead) along with Lula. Omega would leave a bouquet of flowers from Pabu. What a powerful image that would be.
Omega could then go on to lead her own little batch. She’s made the friends and connections to do so. Crosshair and the others wouldn’t be too far behind.
It would be a touching resolution to Hunter’s and Crosshair’s and Omega’s arcs.
Other clues I think they’re dropping that support this theory:
-Omega’s new hair design. It’s perfect for her to wear Hunter’s bandana.
-Batcher joining the squad. She fills the tracking role.
-Crosshair’s increased screen time with Omega.
-Hunter’s increased desire to do whatever it takes to keep Omega safe, and the hints that he becomes reckless upon doing so.
-The Marauder exploding. Something about losing the home and the head of the home making for great storytelling.
-The idea of passing the torch of leadership to the next generation. From Clone Wars (TBB) to the new SW content (Omega)
-The fact that Jen Corbett said Hunter is her favorite character, and I’ve never known a female writer who doesn’t whump the hell out of their favorites the most (fr one of the most compelling arguments lol)
What is your HC about Daniel being a bad father? I love your takes btw!
thank you lol sorry for the times i don't think before hitting post
daniel's life is a cycle of addiction. he seems to have had absentee parents who also struggled with substance abuse. he recreated his childhood, just like armand said he would. his entire focus is on his career, which is another vice. he shows no regard for his safety, and we know this extends to his kids, as indicated by the car seat memory. oh, speaking of, i read the car seat memory as daniel trying to be open about throwing his kid into some unknown car to score drugs and then softened it by going "well, she was in a car seat safe" and his editor went "no, she fucking wasn't lol"
they imply he's clean now, but he's nursing alcohol almost every time he's on screen and chasing this book. man, armand in 2022 reads daniel's addictions like a book, and we've been told he was in only in his head for some four days when he was twenty. i have empathy for him but he’s a tornado.
daniel is vengeful and always needs to be right to the detriment of others. his daughters likely grew up in a household watching their mother(s) endure an onslaught of verbal abuse. they likely experienced it for themselves. he acknowledges he fucked them up, but never offers to relate with louis in this regard. if there's something to give lestat and daniel for a bonding experience, it's a malignant and regretful fatherhood.
i grew up as the child of an addict and i still struggle to cut the cord. he tells louis his daughters have gone no-contact, even knowing he's dying. do you know what has to happen to get to that point? i bet you he even called them up after being diagnosed to elicit some level of sympathy, and was really a selfish attempt to guilt them. i don't believe the daughters are calling him up going, "oh, poor dad, are you okay?” imagine losing their childhood to their father chasing highs, and now he’s going viral throwing a career away that ruined their lives for vampires. it'd likely make them sick and fuel their resentment even more.
he keeps his adult children's childish belongings shoved away in his closet because he never built new memories with them past the age of ten. they’re nearing their fifties. his one good contribution he can give them is 'dying' and getting that 10 mill in their inheritance.
#im like daniel is my favorite character :) and then i hit him over the head with rocks#anyways they can do whatever with them post s2 since this is the 'everybody sucks and can you reconcile that in the face of forever' show#interview with the vampire#daniel molloy
Crossed Lines || George Weasley
Title: Crossed Lines Pairing: Single Dad!George x Nanny!Reader Summary: Crossing the line between professional and personal is always a risk, and this time it’s one George is willing to take. A/N: I love dad!george and you can pry him from my cold dead hands. Feedback is always appreciated! <3
-
George Weasley never imagined his life would turn out this way.
As a man in his mid-20s, he was living the life most would be envious of. For starters he and his brother started their own company as teenagers, and now several years later they are still their own bosses. Not to mention he’s a single man, living in central London, free to do whatever and whoever he pleases. He gets to do what he loves, makes his own decisions and he makes enough money to do whatever he wants while also saving enough for his future.
That is until one fateful Tuesday morning, when he answered the door and found a car seat sitting on the welcome mat with the smallest baby girl he’d ever seen tucked inside. Whoever left her there was long gone, and when George brought her inside the note that fluttered to the floor revealed him as the father, with whoever wrote it stating that they weren’t cut out to be a Mother and the baby was George’s problem now.
Two weeks and one paternity test later, George took full custody of his daughter Remi.
Despite having no real hands-on experience with babies, and having no intentions of having children for at least a decade, the second George held that little girl he knew in his heart that he could never give her up. So in the blink of an eye George Weasley went from a single man to a single dad.
Thankfully his family is the best, and rallied around him as he settled into fatherhood. Fred took on more responsibility at work so George could have a more flexible schedule, and his Mum moved in to help him as he learned how to be a Dad. And of course his siblings were always more than eager to babysit when George needed a break.
But now that Remi is six months old, four months after she was dropped off at the front of his brownstone, it’s time for his life to resume. He misses work, and while he loves having his Mum around, he’s desperately in need of having his privacy back. Not to mention all the parenting books he’s consumed over the last few months all talk about how important it is for babies to have a routine, and it’s hard getting into one when George’s work schedule is in the air and Remi never knows if it’ll be her grandmother or her dad getting her up from her nap.
When discussing what childcare arrangements George wanted now that he’d be back at work full time and Molly would be back up North, both Fred and his Mother vetoed his idea to just have Remi at work with him all day. Day care seemed like the obvious solution, but even after touring the best rated facility in London George was hesitant. He hated the idea of dropping his daughter off at some strange building everyday, and wasn’t too keen on the idea of Remi not being the only child someone was looking after.
So George tasked his Mum with finding him the best Nanny in all of London.
While more expensive than daycare, George liked the idea that Remi would be at home where she’s most comfortable and she’d have her caretakers undivided attention. Not to mention he liked how easy it would be to stop by and get some time with his baby whenever he could sneak away from work.
He left all of the hiring decisions up to Molly, citing his inexperience with raising a child. Who better to pick the person that will be caring for his child than the woman who raised seven of her own kids?
And George didn’t regret trusting his mother for a second.
Well until he answers the door on his Nanny’s first day, only to find the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen standing on his doorstep.
She smiles up at him brightly, and George curses himself for not at least asking his Mum for a picture of his Nanny. All she had told him was that her name is Y/N and she has a degree in early childhood development. Truthfully, when George thought about having a Nanny, he always pictured an older woman who was looking for work now that her children have grown and flown the nest. Never in his wildest dreams did he imagine someone like Y/N standing on his doorstep.
“Hi,” she greets awkwardly when George doesn’t say anything. “You must be George, I’m Y/N. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Snapping out of his daydreams, George gives her a nod. “Nice to meet you as well. Come on in.”
He steps aside so Y/N can walk through the door, and he has to suppress a shiver when their bodies brush. She can’t be much younger than him, and the subtle scent of strawberries wafting from her skin is driving him crazy. George shuts the door a little too hard, before motioning for her to follow him into the living room.
Remi is sitting on the floor supported by some kind of special pillow Fleur bought for him, drool running down her chin as she chews on a toy. George watches as Y/N gets a look at his daughter for the first time, and the smile that takes over her face is breathtaking.
“Oh my goodness,” Y/N coos as she approaches, crouching down in front of Remi. “And you must be Miss Remi,” she greets, her voice soft and cheery as she reaches out to stroke the baby’s cheek. “Your Granny has told me so much about you, Gorgeous. I’m Y/N and I can’t wait to get to know you better.”
George is a puddle as he watches this woman interact with his child. That little girl is his entire world, and watching people fall in love with her always fills him with pride. Remi giggles as Y/N strokes her tummy and a grin breaks out over George’s face.
“She likes you.”
“I like her too.”
Remi squeals with joy as George scoops her up in his arms and he presses a kiss to her wet cheek before he places her on his hip. “Let me show you around and get everything sorted before I have to head off to work.”
Y/N follows behind George as he gives a quick tour, taking note of where everything is. Which is harder than it should be, since she’s distracted by the adorable baby and the gorgeous man that’s holding her. Molly had shown Y/N dozens of pictures of Remi during the interview process and talked about her nonstop, but she had been pretty silent when it came to her son. All she said was that George was young and had become a father unexpectedly when Remi’s mother abandoned the two month old on his porch.
Her heart had broken for the little girl and her father, which made saying yes to Molly’s job offer a piece of cake. And as George points out all of his daughter’s favorite things Y/N is sure in her decision to take this job. It’s clear that George doesn’t know a lot about being a parent, but it’s even more clear that he’s trying his best and he loves his daughter with every fiber of his being.
Y/N would be lying if she didn’t admit how attractive that is. Seeing this man who so clearly used to live the bachelor life bend over backwards to give his daughter the life she deserves is a major turn on. It doesn’t hurt that he’s extremely good looking either.
But it’s really in her best interest to push those kinds of thoughts away considering the fact that George is her boss and he’s trusting her to care for his child. Remi is the only Weasley Y/N will allow herself to fall in love with.
“So as far as a routine goes, Remi doesn’t really have one,” George admits sheepishly as they make their way back into the living room. “When she gets cranky we put her down for a nap and when she cries we feed her. We tried, but with my work schedule always changing and my Mum and I switching on and off, nothing we tried ever really stuck.”
”That’s what I’m here for,” Y/N reassures him with a smile. “It’ll probably take a few days for Remi to settle in from the change and get used to me, but once things settle we’ll start putting a routine in. And I’ll write everything down so you can follow it on the weekends as well.”
“Ugh, you’re amazing,” George gushes, and he doesn’t miss the way Y/N’s cheeks flush. “Okay well I guess that’s everything. I should head out now.” He’s thankful that Y/N turns away, pretending to look at her phone so he can have a private moment with his daughter.
“I love you Rem-Dog,” George murmurs as he presses his lips to the top of his daughter’s head. “I gotta go to work now, but I’m gonna miss you so much. And you’re gonna have so much fun with Y/N. Okay, baby?”
George kisses his daughter one last time, pressing his nose to the crown of her head and taking a deep inhale of her sweet baby scent before he pulls away and hands Remi off to Y/N.
“Call if you need anything,” George says as he walks towards the door. “My cell and office number are on the fridge. I should be home by five but I’ll call and let you know if that changes.”
”Sounds good.” Y/N follows George out, picking up Remi’s hand and making her wave. “Say bye to Daddy, Remi. Say don’t worry about me, everything’s going to be okay.” Her voice has that same dreamy quality it did when she first greeted Remi, and it immediately puts George at ease.
Y/N stays on the porch while George climbs in his car, bouncing Remi as she makes the little girl wave. He keeps his eyes on them for as long as possible, sighing when they disappear out of view.
-
“Well your first full week back is almost over,” Fred starts as he enters George’s office. “How does it feel?”
”Fucking exhausting,” George groans, flipping Fred off when he laughs.
Truthfully he really has enjoyed being back in the office. Over the past few months he’s been pretty hands off with the business, only coming in for important meetings or for emergencies, and it’s nice to get back working on the actual fun parts of his job. But holy hell is George tired.
After being at work all day George heads home, and after a quick pass off Y/N also heads out, putting George on Dad duty for the rest of the night. Which he totally loves after being away from Remi all day, but by the time he gets her fed, bathed and settled in for the night he’s absolutely exhausted. It doesn’t help that she’s started some kind of sleep regression since he went back to work, so he’s up a few times to put Remi back down.
When discussing with his mom what he might want from a nanny, they had discussed whether the position should be a live in one. George had shut that down pretty quickly, adamant that he only wanted someone there when he couldn’t be and that he could handle everything else. But after only one week he’s already considering asking Y/N if she’d be willing to make that change.
And if part of that is motivated by his craving to spend more time with his nanny it isn’t anyone’s business.
The only time he gets to spend with Y/N is the few minutes before he leaves for work when he hands Remi off, and then the few minutes in the evening before they do it again when he gets home. But seeing the way she lights up when she talks about his daughter has George craving her presence every moment of the day.
It helps that Remi seems to be just as infatuated with Y/N as he is. When he got home from work last night, Y/N had gushed about how amazing Remi has been, and that she barely seemed to need an adjustment period. She explained that sometimes babies have difficulties getting used to their parents being away and having a stranger in the house, but from that very first day Remi took everything like a champ.
The photo George has on his phone of Remi fast asleep on Y/N’s chest from Monday afternoon is a testament to that. The little girl has formed a bond with her nanny right from the start, and George knows his daughter would be thrilled to have some more time with Y/N.
“And how’s the nanny? Still hot?” Fred asks as he plops down in a chair across from George’s desk.
”Ugh, fuck. I never should have told you that.”
”Don’t worry, dude. I’d never try and screw one of your employees,” Fred assures. “Especially one that you wanna fuck too.”
George throws a pen at Fred in an attempt to knock the stupid grin off of his face. “I don’t wanna fuck Y/N.”
”Oh right, you wanna kiss her and hold her and date her and make love to her,” Fred teases.
”You’re such a fucking prat.” George sighs, shuffling some papers on his desk. “Fuck this. It’s Friday and I’m tired and I wanna see my baby. I’m going home early.”
Fred stands up as George starts to collect his things. “Fine, go back home to your girls. I’ll see you later.”
He’s almost out the door when George registers what he’s said and he whips a pad of post it notes at his brother’s retreating back. “Fucking prick!” He shouts, trying to ignore the bright pink blush on his cheeks.
-
George’s decision to ask Y/N to move in is solidified the second he comes through the door.
Remi’s cries echo off the walls, and he barely has the door shut behind him before he’s barrelling down the hall towards his daughter. When he reaches the living room George stops in his tracks. Y/N is slowly swaying back and forth, quietly murmuring to Remi as she rubs her back soothingly. His daughter’s red face is pressed into her nanny’s neck and even from across the room George can see how wet her cheeks are.
“Is she okay?” George asks as he approaches, his voice frantic.
Y/N spins around so she’s facing him, an attempt at a grin crossing her face. “Teething,” is her simple reply, and George nods in understanding.
He vaguely remembers when Victorie, his niece, started teething since Bill often came to hang out with Fred and George when he needed a break. Not that George can blame a baby, if he had something sharp cutting through his gums and had no ability to verbalize the pain and ask for help he’d be screaming his head off too.
“Yeah, my Mum thought she might be close to cutting one in the front.” Y/N passes Remi to him when he holds his hands out, and he immediately cuddles her close to his chest. “It’s alright, love. Daddy’s here.”
Y/N can practically feel her heart melt as she watches George soothe his daughter, and she silently kicks herself when she realizes how attractive it is watching this big man hold a baby. Of course she’s read those books, the ones where the hot single dad and the nanny end up falling in love and becoming a family. But when she graduated from Uni and decided to go into private care over a day care or teaching she had promised herself she would always remain professional.
Except the moment George Weasley opened his front door that notion went right down the drain.
Watching this man be a parent makes her ovaries ache, and in a futile attempt to squander any feelings she may have for George, Y/N has tried to keep their interactions to a minimum. She keeps their hand-offs as brief as possible, showing up in the morning with only a few minutes to spare and exiting so quickly in the evening that George barely has his shoes off before she’s out the door.
The last thing she needs is to fall in love with the man who signs her paychecks.
It doesn’t help that Remi is probably the best child she’s ever looked after, and considering she started babysitting at 10 that’s a huge compliment. After only a week she already has formed an attachment to the little girl, and it pains her everytime she has to hand her back at the end of the day. Which usually ends up pissing her off, because how could the woman that gave birth to such a beautiful baby just give that all away?
Apart from today’s teething related meltdown Remi has been nothing but a ray of sunshine. She giggles at everything, and Y/N instantly fell in love with her gummy smile. She’s also learned that Remi is a baby that loves to cuddle, and she spends most of her afternoon laying on the couch, holding the infant close to her chest as she sleeps.
Sometimes she feels thankful for that horrid woman who gave all of this up, because Y/N is the one who gets to bask in the glow of little Remi. But sometimes those thoughts lead her down the bath of daydreaming what it would be like to be Remi’s Mum, and by extension George’s wife, and she has to shut them down quickly. Lusting after a life she can’t have is not helpful.
“I put some of her teethers in the freezer,” she explains as George starts to sway back and forth in his own attempt to soothe Remi. “The cold will help soothe and numb the pain, but if you have a hard time getting her to bed you can give her some children’s tylenol.”
Y/N can feel her heart breaking as Remi lets out another wail, hating the fact that she is about to leave when she’s still so upset. She steps closer to George, resting a hand on Remi’s back before she leans in to kiss her tear-stained cheek.
“Bye, Rem-Dog. I’m going to miss you so much, but you have your dad here with you, yeah? And I know you’re in pain but go easy on him, okay? I can feel the anxiety rolling off him,” she pauses to look at George, giving him a teasing wink before she refocuses her attention on the baby. “I’ll see you on Monday.”
“You got this, George,” Y/N reassures, giving his arm a squeeze.
She turns to grab her things and head out when a hand closes around her wrist.
“Wait, Y/N,” George calls, tugging so she turns to look at him. “There’s actually something I wanted to talk to you about, before you go. I was wondering if you’d consider becoming a live-in nanny?” He rushes the question out, clearly nervous.
“You want me to move in?” Y/N asks, her voice breathy. Immediately she clears her throat, shaking her head to bring her back to reality. This is George asking for more help with his baby, nothing more.
“I do yeah,” George confirms with a nod. “I'm in way over my head, and I could really use the extra help in the evenings. I can tell how attached Remi is to you already, and I know she’d love to have you around more.” He leaves out the fact that he’d love to have her around more too, figuring that would be anything but helpful to hear. “I’d pay you more, obviously, and you’ll still have the weekends off. If you’re stuck in a lease I can pay to get you out of it, anything you need.”
“I’ll do it,” Y/N agrees without even taking a second to think about it.
Is moving in with her hot boss and his incredible daughter probably a bad idea? Absolutely. But with the wide grin George is directing at her it’s easy for Y/N to push all of those negative thoughts to the back of her head.
Besides, living here with George and Remi is a good thing, she’ll probably learn all of George’s annoying habits and whatever feelings are starting to develop will fade just as quickly as they started.
At least Y/N hopes so.
-
Turns out her plan to use moving in with George as a way to diminish her feelings for him is a failure. An epic, fucking failure.
Because as it turns out, George has no annoying habits.
When he wakes up with Remi in the morning he’s quiet, taking extra care to whisper and tiptoe around as to not wake Y/N up before her alarm. When he makes his breakfast he always sets some aside for her as well, and there’s always a fresh pot of coffee waiting. He’s always sure to clean up after himself, to the point where sometimes Y/N forgets he even lives there. And despite the fact that she moved in to help him out more, George is always respectful of her time. When he gets home from work he takes over with Remi, giving Y/N some time for herself. When she takes over again, putting Remi to bed, George always cooks them dinner and they spend the rest of the evening talking and hanging out.
Everyday it feels less and less like she’s his employee helping him care for his daughter and more like they’re a couple caring for their baby together.
Which Y/N knows is a bad thing, and there’s constantly a voice in the back of her head telling her she needs to put up boundaries to keep both George and Remi at arms length. But the more time she spends around them the harder it is. She is quickly discovering that she isn’t just attracted to George’s looks and his dedication to being a father, but to his personality as well. He has a great sense of humor and such a kind heart, and Y/N finds herself missing his presence when he’s not around.
So again, her plan has been an epic failure.
It certainly doesn’t help that three weeks into her new live in position, Y/N rushes into the nursery one night to comfort a screaming Remi only to find her boss standing in the middle of the room shirtless as he rocks his daughter.
“Oh,” Y/N gasps as she steps in the room, alerting George to her presence. When he spins to face her it takes all of her willpower to keep her eyes focused on his face and not his naked torso. “I just wanted to check and make sure everything is okay.”
George swallows thickly, reminding himself that he’s got his crying child in his arms and now is not the time to be ogling his nanny. But fuck is it hard. Because Y/N is standing there in the tiniest pair of sleep shorts and the thinnest tank top George has ever seen, her hair still mussed from sleep.
“Yeah, everything’s fine,” he mumbles once he finds his composure. “I was hoping to get her back to sleep before she woke you, I’m sorry.”
Remi’s been cutting two new teeth this week, and it’s safe to say sleep has not been something happening here in the Weasley house. He and Y/N have been taking shifts during the night, but he could tell that the lack of sleep was starting to wear her down, so when Remi woke him tonight his sole mission was to soothe her back to sleep as quickly as possible.
“And is there a reason why the two of you are half naked?” Y/N teases, and even in the dim light George can see the blush tinting her cheeks.
George shrugs a shoulder, giving her a grin. “I read in a book that skin to skin contact is supposed to help comfort babies.” Truthfully he hadn’t even considered the possibility of Y/N coming to help him, so George hadn’t given it a second thought when he stripped Remi down to her diaper before he pulled his own shirt off. All he wanted to do was soothe his child, but seeing the way Y/N is having a hard time from looking at his bare chest George is thankful for his actions for a totally different reason.
“I’ll have to keep that in mind,” Y/N responds playfully, and she doesn’t miss the way George’s eyes scan her body. It sends a shiver down her spine, and if there wasn’t a crying baby in his arms she certainly would be throwing herself at him.
Over the past few weeks Y/N has had an inkling that the feelings she has are not totally one sided, and the way George is looking at her now is confirmation. Clearly they are both trying to keep from crossing into unprofessional territory for Remi’s sake, but she’s not sure how much longer they’ll be able to resist this pull.
“Go back to bed,” George instructs, his voice low.
Y/N nods, her stomach fluttering at the command in his voice. Wanting him to be just as affected as she is, she approaches George, maintaining eye contact as she places one hand on his bare shoulder and the other on his abs. She smiles to herself as he tenses under her touch, leaning in to kiss Remi on the forehead.
“Goodnight, baby girl.”
Just as quickly as she was there Y/N is retreating, looking back over her shoulder at George as she lingers in the doorway.
“Sweet dreams, George.”
As soon as she’s gone George tosses his head back and groans. “God damnit,” he mumbles. He looks down at Remi, who’s cries have finally started to quiet. “You two girls will be the death of me I swear.”
-
It’s the first sunny day they’ve had in weeks, so when he woke up this fine Saturday morning he decided a picnic in the park was the best way to spend it. Even though it’s technically her day off, after he’d packed up the food, Remi George had stopped by Y/N’s room to see if she wanted to join them. Much to his delight, a yes was coming out of her mouth before he’d really even finished asking.
And as he watches her push Remi in a swing, both of them giggling like crazy, George knows one thing for certain: he’s fallen for his nanny. It’s something he’s come to terms with in the two weeks it has been since that night in the nursery. After the way she touched and teased him George had an inkling that his feelings for Y/N were mutual, and their interactions these last few weeks have only confirmed it.
For starters, touching has become a normal part of their relationship. Now when they pass Remi back and forth it’s normal for their hands to brush, lingering just a few seconds too long. When they sit on the couch together in the evenings Y/N takes the spot right next to him, as opposed to sitting on the opposite end like she had previously. It seems like both of them take every opportunity to be close to the other.
Their conversations seem to have a flirty air to them now too, with both of them taking every opportunity to make the other blush. Not to mention the fact that Y/N is supposed to have the weekends off, and yet she somehow always ends up spending them with George and Remi.
Sometimes George even forgets that Y/N is his employee, because when the three of them are together it just feels like they’re a family. Much to George’s pleasure it seems that way to others as well, because on at least four different occasions when the three of them have been out together people have complimented them on how adorable their daughter is, and Y/N has been mistaken as his wife at least a handful of times. Even strangers know that they’re meant to be together.
And George is just waiting for the perfect moment to make it official.
He grins as Y/N starts to head towards him, holding his arms out for the baby.
“Dada, dada, dada!” Remi babbles as Y/N places her in his outstretched hands, and it makes his heart burst just like every other time she’s said it.
“Hi baby,” George coos, settling Remi down on his lap. He shivers when Y/N takes a seat next to him on the blanket, their sides pressed together tightly from how close she chooses to be. “Did you have fun on the swings?”
“Yes I did,” Y/N answers for Remi, her voice morphing into the delicate tone she always uses when talking to the baby. “Y/N is so much fun, Daddy. So much more fun than you,” she teases.
They both let out a laugh when Remi reaches for Y/N, seemingly confirming her words.
Instead of taking the baby Y/N leans into George’s side, holding out both her hands so Remi and grab on to her pointer fingers. George immediately wraps an arm around her waist, pressing Y/N even closer into his chest. It feels so natural that George has to resist his urge to lean in and kiss her on the forehead.
Y/N smiles as Remi tries to shove her fingers in her mouth, keeping her attention focused on the baby so she doesn’t get lost in George’s eyes. She can feel his gaze on her, and it’s taking everything in her not to return it.
She shouldn’t even be here right now. She’d had plans to get brunch with some of her Uni friends, but the second George stopped in the doorway of her room, a stupid smile on his face and his perfect baby in his arms as he invited her on a picnic she couldn’t say no. It’s definitely not normal, the amount of time she spends with George and Remi when she’s off the clock, but Y/N stopped caring about that weeks ago. In reality, George could never pay her another cent and she’d still be sitting right where she is.
Which should terrify Y/N, but it doesn’t.
“I can’t believe how big she’s getting,” George comments, pulling Y/N out of her thoughts.
She hums in agreement. “It’s crazy how fast they grow at this age. I swear some days she grows overnight.”
“She looks so much like her mom.”
Y/N freezes, just watching George stroke his fingers over the dark, wispy hair that covers Remi’s head. He’s never talked about her before, and Y/N would be lying if she said she wasn’t curious about the woman who makes up the other half of Remi’s DNA.
“Maybe,” Y/N comments, grinning as Remi giggles. “But she has your eyes and your smile.” When all George does is hum in acknowledgement she continues. “What was she like? Remi’s mom?”
George shrugs as best he can with Y/N pressed against him. “I don’t know, really. Which sounds awful. We didn’t really spend too much time talking, if you get what I mean. I had totally forgotten about her until Remi showed up on my doorstep and the note from her fell out onto the ground.”
“I know I probably shouldn’t think ill of someone I don’t know,” Y/N says cautiously. “But it must take an awful person to just abandon their baby. Especially a baby like Remi. I mean, what if you weren’t home? Remi would have just been sitting out there on the porch for who knows how long.” She shudders in horror at the thought. “I just can’t ever imagine leaving her behind.”
The protective tone in her voice drives George crazy in the best way possible. He knows, obviously, that Y/N cares for his daughter, but hearing her be so angry at the woman who abandoned his daughter is something different.
“I know what you mean. Being a dad was something I never even considered. But the second I held that baby for the first time I knew I could never give her up.” George pauses, considering his next words carefully. “Sometimes I think about what life would be like, if Remi’s mom had come to me when she found out she was pregnant and we had the opportunity to be a family. But I don’t think I would have liked it that much.”
“Oh?” The soft tone of George’s voice is sending goosebumps all over her body. “Why is that?”
“Because then I never would have needed a nanny, and Remi and I wouldn’t have met you.”
His words take all of the air out of Y/N’s lungs, and her heart feels like it might beat out of her chest. Because she’s had those thoughts too, and as selfish as it is Y/N has always come to the same conclusion as George. Remi will never know her biological mother, and part of Y/N aches for that little girl. But a larger part of her is thankful that Remi will never know the pain of her mother’s abandonment, and she’s thankful that she gets to be the woman in her life.
“Thanks for coming with us,” George murmurs after a few moments of silence, causing Y/N to finally look up at him. He has the dopiest grin on his face and it makes her heart race.
“There’s no place I’d rather be,” Y/N responds, and the conviction in her voice lets George know she’s being honest with him.
George reaches out to tuck a stray piece of hair behind Y/N’s ear, and he grins at the hitch in her breath. “Remi likes spending so much time with you.”
“Just Remi?” she asks teasingly, digging her teeth into her bottom lip.
“No,” George murmurs honestly, reaching up to trace Y/N’s jaw with his thumb. “Not just Remi.”
Things finally come to a head a few days later, and they have to decide whether to end this arrangement all together or finally cross that line.
-
“Y/N? Remi?”
Y/N grins as George’s voice echoes through the house as the front door clicks shut behind him. “Living room!” she calls back.
As soon as George comes into view Remi starts babbling, her tiny fists reaching out towards George. “Dada, dada, dada!”
They’re sitting on the floor, with Y/N’s back against the sofa as Remi sits in her lap so they can read a book. But as George comes closer Y/N tosses the book aside, focusing on the man approaching her. Ever since the picnic in the park they’re subtle glances have become more obvious, and she doesn’t shy away from checking George out.
Because damn that man knows how to wear a suit.
“Hey Rem-Dog,” George greets, taking a seat on the floor across from Y/N. He opens his arms as Y/N lets Remi go, waiting for her to crawl closer before he swoops in. Picking Remi up under her armpits George hoists her in the air, blowing raspberries against her belly to make her laugh.
Y/N waits for George to return the giggling baby to his lap before she acknowledges him. “Hi. How was work?”
George shrugs, giving her a smile. “It was okay. Couldn’t wait to get home though.”
The intensity in his gaze makes Y/N blush, and she clears her throat as she looks away. “Well it’s a good thing you’re here now,” she manages to squeak out once she’s calmed down.
Things have felt so intense between them lately, but Y/N is waiting for George to make the first move. While she’s absolutely sure he feels the same way as she does, she doesn’t want to risk it by being the first one to make a move. Because on the off chance she goes for it and George rejects her, not only will Y/N be humiliated but she’ll lose Remi and that’s not something she’s willing to risk.
“Yeah, good thing.” George leans down to kiss the top of Remi’s head. “How was she today? Any problems?”
Y/N chuckles at the notion of Remi being anything but a perfect angel. “Nope, she was perfect, as per usual. She tried broccoli for the first time and went down for her nap easily. And every time I’d show her a picture of you she’d reach for it shouting Dada.”
That makes George’s heart melt. “That’s my smart girl,” he coos.
They both just watch for a minute as Remi squirms on George’s lap, one of her hands fisted in his dress pants while the other smacks his knee. No one says anything, but the silence between them isn’t awkward at all.
George suddenly takes a deep breath and just as he’s about to open his mouth to say something Remi cuts him off.
“Mama, mama!” she babbles for the first time, her little arms reaching out towards Y/N as she makes grabby hands. “Mama!”
Tears immediately spring to Y/N’s eyes, and she stands up, turning away from George so he can’t see how affected she is. “Oh. Um. I’ll be right back.”
George watches dumbfounded as Y/N disappears down the hall, presumably into his room. “Shit, shit shit,” he murmurs, standing up to follow after her. He places Remi in her playpen, kissing her quickly on the forehead. “Hang on, baby. Dada has to go check on Mama.”
Y/N’s door is closed when George reaches it, and he gives a tentative knock. “Y/N? Are you okay?”
“I’m fine, George!” She calls, but George can hear her sniffling.
“No, you’re not.” He pauses, grabbing the doorknob. “I’m coming in.”
She’s sitting on the edge of her bed, furiously wiping away tears and George immediately takes two steps into the room before falling to his knees in front of her. “Baby, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing, nothing,” she dismisses, shaking her head. “I don’t even know why I’m crying to be honest. It shouldn’t be a big deal, obviously I’m not Remi’s mom-”
“But you wanna be,” George murmurs, cutting her off.
“Fuck, I’m so sorry, George,” Y/N apologizes. She wipes away the rest of the tears on her cheeks before she starts to push him away. “Let me just pack my stuff and I’ll be out of here, I’m sorry.”
George grabs Y/N’s wrists, keeping her hands pressed to his chest but keeping her from pushing him away. “What the hell do you have to be sorry for, Y/N?”
“I’m her nanny, George. I’m just supposed to be looking after her while you’re at work or whatever. I’m not supposed to be imagining a life where she’s my child and we’re a family. I crossed a line and you should fire me.”
“Fuck that,” George scoffs. “Look at me, Y/N.” He doesn’t continue until Y/N meets his gaze. “If anyone here crossed a line it was me. The second I saw you on my porch that morning I was fucked, I wanted you in every single way I could have you, Y/N. Hell, I asked you to move in under the guise that I needed more help with Remi when in reality I just wanted an excuse to be closer to you.”
George’s confession shocks her, and a humorless chuckle leaves her lips. “Really?”
“Really,” George confirms. “So if I should fire you for what you did, then you should quit for what I did. And if you really want to leave I will walk away right now. I’ll head back into the living room and sit with Remi while you pack and I’ll let you walk out the front door.”
“And if I don’t want to leave?” Y/N immediately asks.
“Then I’m going to kiss you, and once I've conveyed to you how much you truly mean to me, we’ll go back out to the living room to spend time with our daughter. Because Y/N, you stopped being just the nanny weeks ago. And I think you know that.” George gives her a pointed look. “The choice is yours.”
Her choice comes in the form of her hands fisting in George’s shirt seconds before she pulls him into a kiss. George’s arms immediately wrap around her waist, and he pulls Y/N off of the bed and into his lap, needing to get her as close as possible.
“Dada! Mama!”
Remi’s shout breaks their kiss, but George keeps their foreheads pressed together as they chuckle. “I guess we’ll have to wait until Remi goes to bed to cross other lines.”
Y/N shakes her head, playfully smacking George on the side of his head. He can be such an idiot. But at least he’s her idiot, and that’s all that really matters.
