I gave myself a writing challenge and I am fascinated by it

So basically I put the robins in a randomizer to give them a new order/role (because I just...kinda wanted to see what would happen + I like role-reversal AUs) and got results that are giving me a fucking brain blast.

Stephanie, the first sidekick who defines the role

Tim, the sidekick who dies and comes back wrong

Dick, the sidekick who saves Batman from himself

Damian, the sidekick who was never supposed to be a sidekick but would go on to prove everyone wrong

Jason, the youngest sidekick who is still the Kid Wonder

...So this is fucking wild. I've got some ideas and several of these fit perfectly (Dick's role is pretty similar to his one in canon), but some of these are fucking INCREDIBLE to explore (Steph being the first Robin is something I never even considered but tbh I kinda love it).

I probably won't write a fic or anything because tbh I don't like publishing my writing that much, but I might expand this into a full AU and post about it. I might randomize other stuff too (ie, stuff that I cannot change vs stuff that I cannot keep the same) but this fucking rules as a starting point.

Time Travel au (brief)

It was Harry who decided that Tom looked comfy enough to sleep on and obviously Tom wasn't going to say no to that. He's the kind of obsessive bastard who can't function without constantly touching Harry in some way or another, so acting as Harry's makeshift bed during his naps is a dream come true. Harry thinks that the horcrux inside him might have addictive, maybe even healing?, properties to the main body, or something along those lines, because why else would Tom be all clingy with him considering their less than stellar beginning? but being touch starved himself, he welcomes it and tries not to think too hard about how nice it feels holding hands with his supposed nemesis whenever they walk down the halls together in school. He also keeps the image of Ron and Hermione giving him the side eye locked very tightly in a box, shoved firmly in the darkest corner of his mind, whenever situations - like him deciding to visit Tom in the Slytherin common room and proceeding to glomp on him while they're in the middle of a Knights meeting - happen. (Cue Knights going bug eyed as Tom, unphased, readjusts Harry in his lap and continues on with the meeting. It will happen often enough that the members don't bat an eyelash to such occurrences anymore and decide not to question the ambiguous nature of their relationship either bc a content Tom is a less crucio happy Tom.) Bottom line: Harry's perfectly fine with living in denial, thank you very much, because as far as he is concerned, he's not the savior of anything anymore in this reality. A sane and very handsome*cough* Tom Riddle who somehow sees him and his opinions in high regard, is willing to take a less radical route regarding his still world dominating plans (Harry will take what he can get bc he knows a lost cause when he sees one), has no qualms giving him affection and promises to spoil him rotten as long he stays by his side? Yeah, even Merlin won't be able to convince him to go back to his old timeline. He's fine with seeing his old friends again in a different, hopefully better, future.

I like to think that like how in @phoenixcatch7's Doll au there's gas versions of like cures and such in the batfam's gas masks since they don't need to breath when possessing the puppets right? I like to think there's an organic version of that with the meat puppet bodies, at least with Bruce, where the plates on his neck opens up into vents of sorts, pictured here with a few spikes removed for visibility reasons.

This gas could be some cures for like Joker venom & Fear gas and such, or it could also be sedatives, paralytics, could even vary between each member. (For example in the Cryptidverse Steph has Anesthetics on her claws, Jason has reflective powder that mimics embers/sparks, Cass has paralytics, etc). Honestly I am just brainstorming so this could definitely change lmao

I do like to think they start developing their own venom though, gotta' have those fangs & tusks for some reason lol

In your Myosotis headcanon, where's Es in all of this?

Ooh, so for now, I’ve been picturing the happiest option: they’re an ordinary child, placed back in their home with family and friends, given the same type of memory-wipe. Milgram needed an unbiased party for their experiment, so they grabbed a random child and made a blank slate themselves. There’s also the slightly sadder option that Es’ amnesia occurred pre-Milgram, in which they’d wake up in a hospital after some kind of accident, still without a family/past, but at least they’re safe. Then there’s the much sadder option that Es is put on trial after the prisoners, and is found guilty – no matter where they started, they don’t make it out of Milgram.

There’s also a bittersweet theory – I’ve always liked theories that Es didn’t begin human. They’re a manifestation of us, or the victims, the prisoners, a brand new construct, etc. If this were the case, I can see Milgram returning them to whatever peaceful state they began as. If they were made up of other people, they’d have some kind of closure/revelation, and they would be much more at peace when they disappear (compared to an actual death as a human.) 

Regardless, I think the prisoners have very mixed emotions on them once they remember everything. Some would be angry once they saw which prisoners were executed. Some would recognize they were just a kid and feel sorry they had to go through all that. Some would be plain curious about who they are in the outside world. I think searching up a minor with only a nickname and vague physical description would prove to be very difficult, but I can still see them succeeding after enough time, or with a meeting-coincidence like Yuno and Fuuta’s.

For a fanart idea I was thinking of Rooster and Hangman slow dancing in the Hard Deck and it's like a bubble has been created around them. Just them and maybe slow ride in the background. that isn't a slow dance song but they make it be

Ok ok so I know I disappeared off the face of the earth for a hot minute (my drawing tablet pen got stolen and I was in charge of a super big dance event) but now that I’m back I HAD to draw this ask first bc 1.) I’m a dancer (mainly swing dancing and it’s hundreds of variations) and 2.) I love my Topgun boys

Headcannon time:

I drew Bradley as the Follow and Jake as the lead bc I just know Bradley gets so caught up in his head when he’s trying to lead any dance besides blues bc there’s so many different moves and what does he pick fuck and finally Jake just takes over bc Damn Rooster, you’re really stuck on that perch but he won’t complain much more than that- But when that occasional blues song does come on Bradley looks damn sexy when he takes charge.

(This may or may not be based on me as I get too wrapped up in my head trying to think out all the moves as a lead so I prefer to follow but damn do I love a good blues dance bc I can just feel the song)

Slow rider is definitely a quicker blues-able dance so Jake takes the lead on it while Bradley enjoys following. If you really want my dance opinion, Bradley definitely enjoys more ballroom blues (more waltz reminiscent moves) while Jake would enjoy Juking Blues (much more harsher body movements and jerks) more.

(I’m a ballroom blues bitch myself, but I won’t turn down a juke blues with a good lead)

Also as a treat I drew the boys doing a lindyhop aerial bc I’m mainly a lindyhopper. One of my favorite leads is a solid foot smaller than me so instead of her lifting me we end up reversing it and having moves where the follow lifts the lead so I had to draw it with the boys bc Jake absolutely LOVES being yeeted the fuck around. Also aerials are usually banned on the dance floor bc that shit can hurt someone, but jam circles are the prime time for some cool ass moves and I could definitely see them busting it down in front of the dagger squad

I almost want to continue with a lindyhop au bc it’s what I live everyday lol idk should I?
