DR. FACILIER (DISNEY VILLAINS AU)
My works are 14+ ONLY. If you’re under 14 DO NOT interact with me or any of my works. NO SPAM-LIKING PLEASE
Pairing: Dr. Facilier!Mingi x fem!reader
Word count: 8,130
Note: I was rereading over this while drafting it here from my Wattpad and I totally forgot how much I loved it 😫
The sound of the front door being slammed shut echoed throughout your home, followed by the sound of keys being dropped into the glass bowl kept in the foyer.
"You're not gonna believe what just happened." Your brother, Wooyoung, hissed angrily as he stormed into the living room.
"What?" You asked, rolling your eyes.
"I went to that voodoo guy and he screwed me over."
"You what?" You sat upright, giving him a sharp glare. "You know those people are quacks."
"I was curious." He defended.
"What exactly did this guy do?"
"He did some card reading to predict my future and it was horrible."
"I don't see what the problem is. You paid to have your future told."
"He was all upbeat and excited saying that he saw a bright future for me and then when I paid him and pulled cards, he told me I was gonna lose all my money and die alone."
"Seems pretty accurate to me."
"Hey!" He huffed, slapping your arm.
"It's the truth! You lost money on that reading."
"Don't you get it? He made me think I was gonna get a good reading and I didn't. I was tricked."
"What do you want me to do about it?"
"I don't know. Something."
"No."
"Do something, Y/n." He whined, shoving your shoulder.
"Cut it out."
"Not until you do something."
"You can take care of it yourself. If you're not satisfied, go talk to the guy."
"If I go back, he'll recognize me. Plus, he has a sign up that says no refunds."
You stared up at the purple and green sign that read: Dr. Song's Voodoo Emporium. There were two torches up on either side of the sign, casting an orange glow on the letters.
You didn't even know why you were there. Maybe you did care that Wooyoung got scammed or maybe you knew he wouldn't quit complaining about losing money if you didn't do something.
"It's now or never." You muttered to yourself before pulling open the creaky door and stepping inside.
"Welcome." A deep and somewhat husky voice greeted you from somewhere in the shadows. "You know, I always say fate brings people into my little shop."
Suddenly, the room was illuminated by many candles and lanterns, all being set aflame on their own and all at once. Stepping out from the dark shadows was a tall, slim man with silvery hair pushed away from his face. He donned an outfit consisting of a vest, an animal print suit jacket, dark trousers, and boots. In his hand was a cane with a gold skull on the end.
"So, darling, do you think fate brought you here?" He asked, extending his hand to you.
"I think you ripping off my brother brought me here." You answered.
He retracted his hand, his strong brows tugging together. "What ever do you mean?"
"You scammed my brother."
"I don't know your brother." He stated.
"You told him you saw a bright future for him and when he got a card reading, you told him he would lose all his money and die alone."
"Sorry to inform you, but I can't control that."
"Yeah, right."
"I swear. It's not me. It's the cards."
"The cards?" You scoffed. "Please."
"It's true. I don't decide people's futures."
"I knew it. You're just a scam artist." You hissed, stalking towards the exit.
"Woah, woah, woah, woah!" The man hurried to stand in front of the door, his hands up as he tried to stop you from leaving.
You sighed, crossing your arms as you waited to hear what he had to say.
"I'm a man who likes to make bargains. So, how about this? I give your brother another reading for free if you let me give you a reading right now."
"You scammed my brother and you think I want a reading from you? No thanks. I'm not interested in your tricks."
"No tricks."
"You're lying. I know how con men like you work."
"Fine. I guess you don't want to help your brother."
"You know that's not true."
"Oh, but it is. If you really wanted to help your brother, you would take this simple deal."
"Why do you want to give me a reading so badly?"
"Can I not give a pretty lady a free reading?"
Your eyes narrowed. "If I do this, you'll give my brother another reading?"
"Of course." He grinned, extending his hand. "What do you say?"
"Fine." You give in, shaking his hand.
"Wonderful." He smiled, gesturing to a round table in the middle of the room. "Have a seat."
I can't believe I'm doing this. You thought to yourself.
"I don't want any funny business, Dr. Song."
"Please, call me Mingi. And I can assure you, no funny business."
In a flash, a deck of tarot cards appeared in his hands. He shuffled through them before fanning them out across the table, three of them sticking out from the rest.
"Oh." Mingi gasped. "It seems fate has already picked for you."
That's weird.
You didn't even see him touch the cards. They just moved on their own.
Mingi flipped the cards over, humming to himself. "Interesting."
"What?" You inquired, leaning forward to get a look at the cards.
"You're lonely, aren't you?"
"Excuse me?"
"You're lonely." He looked up at you, his dark irises boring into yours.
"No. I'm not."
The corner of Mingi's mouth twitched as a breathy chuckle left him. "You are."
"I'm not. I'm content."
"Are you?"
"I..." You trailed off, swallowing.
Were you lonely? You didn't feel lonely. Not all the time, anyway.
"You've never been one for relationships, have you?" Mingi inquired, tapping on the first card.
"How do you know that?"
"I know all. Past, present, and even the future. And it seems to me that you've always been hesitant of getting into relationships. You say you're content now and, while that may be true, you're unhappy." He tapped on the second card, most likely indicating the present.
"I'm not unhappy." You denied.
"Deep down, you are. I see it clear as day." His sharp eyes stayed focused on you.
You didn't like the way he was looking at you. It felt like he was staring right into your soul, reading your every emotion.
"Let's see your future, shall we?"
He glanced down at the third card, his brows raising in fascination .
"Seems like you're going to find love in an unexpected place." Mingi's head tilted, a strand of silvery hair falling over his forehead. "A very unexpected place."
You blinked a few times, waiting for him to continue. "And?"
"That's all."
"What?"
"That's it."
"What will he look like? Where will I meet him? How long will it be until I meet him?"
"I don't know."
"But you said you could see the past, present, and future."
"To a certain extent. I don't know all the details."
You pressed your lips together, feeling slightly peeved. To your disappointment, you couldn't exactly be mad at him. The reading wasn't a bad one, it just wasn't as detailed as you'd hoped. Part of you wanted to hear more, but the other part wanted to leave that place as quickly as possible.
"You seem rather interested for a person who thinks I'm a scam artist." Mingi smirked.
You immediately backpedaled. "I'm not interested. I just expected more detail."
"That's not how my readings work. In fact, that's not how any readings work. You don't always get what you want."
"Well, I let you give me a reading, so a deal's a deal. You give my brother another reading for free. No tricks."
"Of course." He placed one hand over his chest and raised the other. "I assure you, I'm a man of my word."
"We'll see about that." You turned on your heel, ready to leave the establishment.
"Wait. I never got your name."
"You don't need it."
You reached for the doorknob only to have the lock turned by some strange shadow that resembled Mingi. The sight was unsettling and caused you to step away from the entrance.
You glared over your shoulder at Dr. Song.
"Unlock it."
"I'd like your name first."
"It's Y/n."
The door unlocked in an instant.
"That wasn't so hard, now was it?"
You abruptly pulled the door open, ready to leave. You had only taken one step outside when Mingi called out for you again.
"One more thing."
You huffed out a sigh of annoyance as you turned towards the fortune teller.
"Here's my card." He held a small business card between his middle and index finger, offering it to you. "In case you ever need me."
You took the card from him, knowing you'd never use it.
"I'll see you around, my dear." He waved as he watched you leave the shop.
"I get another reading?" Wooyoung asked.
"Yes. No charge."
"Will it be a good one?" He questioned, skeptically.
"He didn't say."
"What if I get a bad reading again?" He whined.
"You should just be thankful he offered you another for free."
"You're right. Thanks for going down there."
"You're welcome."
"So, should we go down there tomorrow?"
"We? No, no, no, no. There is no we. You're going down there alone. I'm not going back there." You denied.
"Why not?"
"He's annoying."
"That's not a valid excuse."
"I don't see why I have to accompany you."
"What if he tries something? Any tricks, I mean."
"He promised no tricks."
"I still want you to come with me."
And that's how you ended up back at Dr. Song's Voodoo Emporium... again.
"I don't wanna do this." You groaned.
"It won't be that bad. We'll be in and out in no time." Wooyoung assured you.
You highly doubted that.
Your annoyingly optimistic brother stepped inside, pulling you with him.
The shop was lit up better than the previous day, allowing you to see all the strange doodads inside: jars lined up on driftwood shelves, bottles of of every shape and size filled with multicolored liquids, books with foreign symbols on the spines, even animal skulls.
"Well, look who's wandered back into my shop."
You rolled your eyes as Mingi stepped from the shadows, making yet another dramatic entrance.
"It wasn't by choice." You stated.
"I'm here for my free reading." Wooyoung spoke up, stupidly unaware of the tension between you and Mingi.
"Ah, yes. Wooyoung, right?"
Your brother nodded.
"Come. Have a seat. Since your last reading for the future was bad, I'll give you a redo for it."
"Sounds good."
You stood off to the side, giving the two some space. From there, you watched Mingi, making sure he didn't pull any tricks.
He pulled out his deck of tarot cards, shuffling them around before presenting them to Wooyoung.
"Pick three cards and we'll see what your future holds."
Your brother's hand hovered over the cards laid out across the tabletop until he selected his first card, then the second, then the third. Each selection was made carefully, as he didn't want to get another bad reading.
"Alright. Let's see what we have here." Mingi hummed, flipping over the first card.
"Oh. This one is good. It means that you'll have some luck."
Mingi then flipped over the second card.
"Mhm." He hummed, with a nod. "This one could mean that there will be a rough patch for you at some point."
Wooyoung frowned.
Mingi flipped over the last card, a small smile tugging at his lips.
"Well, it seems that you'll get through that rough patch and be content in where you are in life."
"Really?" Wooyoung asked.
Mingi nodded.
"What about getting rich? You mentioned that last time before you got me to pay for a reading."
"Ah. Well, I can make that happen for you if you still want it."
Your brows furrowed as you watched their exchange, feeling unsettled by Mingi's words, as well as his shifty behavior.
"Yes!" Your brother answered, enthusiastically. "Is that even possible?"
"Of course it is, Wooyoung. I have friends on the other side that can help me to change your future around."
"Woah. Seriously?"
"Of course. I can make your dreams come true. What do you say?" Mingi extended his hand out towards Wooyoung.
As your brother reached towards Mingi's hand, you saw that shadow from the day before reaching towards Wooyoung. Sensing that something wasn't right, you jumped into action, lunging forward and pulling your naive brother's hand away.
"Don't!"
Wooyoung looked at you with wide eyes and an expression that said, 'What's wrong with you?'
"Are you insane?!" You shrieked.
"No. I'd say I'm the complete opposite actually. I'm about to be rich!"
"No you're not, you idiot. He's trying to trick you. Are you not even the slightest bit worried by these so-called 'friends from the other side'? There could be some serious repercussions to this."
"Uh..." He trailed off.
"Are you seriously going to trust the guy who scammed you?"
His jaw dropped in realization.
"You!" He pointed at Mingi. "You we're trying to trick me again."
"You almost fell for it." He muttered under his breath.
"Unbelievable." You scoffed. "We're leaving."
Wooyoung stood up and the two of you started to walk out.
"Don't be like that." Mingi called out.
"Look, my brother got his free reading and that's that. We're done here."
You didn't allow him any more time to speak as you and Wooyoung left the shop, slamming the door behind you.
"Now do you see why I wanted you to come with me?" Wooyoung asked once the two of you were outside.
"I do. I'm glad I was there, but that doesn't mean I wanted to be."
"You're right. He's a total scam artist."
"I know. Good news is, we won't have to deal with him ever again. You got your free reading, so everything is settled."
Wooyoung gave a nod of finality as the two of you walked away.
You scanned the shelves for any snacks that caught your eye. Wooyoung was in "desperate" need of honey butter chips and annoyed you into going to the convenience store. You figured since you were going out of your way to get his snacks, you might as well get something for yourself.
"Well, would you look at that."
Your brows furrowed at the familiar voice. Turning your head, you spotted someone you didn't expect to see.
Mingi stood at the end of the aisle with one hand resting on his cane and a shopping basket over his other arm, a smug grin on his face.
"You've gotta be kidding me." You muttered.
"What was that?" He asked, walking over.
"Why are you here?" You questioned, ignoring him.
"What does it look like?"
"Stalking."
He chuckled. "Just because we happen to be at the same place at the same time doesn't mean I'm stalking you. You know what I call it?"
"What?"
"Fate."
"Well, I call it annoying." You remarked, walking away.
"Ouch." Mingi hissed. "Those are harsh words."
"Good. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have shopping to do."
You left the aisle you were in, not wanting to share the same area with that fraud. You relocated to a different aisle, perusing the snacks there, picking up a couple things. To your disappointment, Mingi had followed you.
"Why are you avoiding me?"
"Because I have no interest in speaking to you. Nor do I have a reason to speak to you."
"That's a shame."
"Yeah. A real shame." You remarked sarcastically.
You tried, yet again, to get away from him, but to no avail. No matter where you went, he followed.
"Why don't you tell me about yourself? Do you have any hobbies?" He inquired.
"Is that your way of flirting? If so, you're doing a terrible job."
He had that same shameless smirk on his face, letting you know that he didn't care that he was annoying you to no end. You already have Wooyoung harassing you at home, you didn't need another one.
"Come on. I wanna know more about you, darling."
"Don't call me that."
"Why?" He asked, leaning over your shoulder. "Does it make your heart race? Hm?"
"No, it makes me want to throw up."
"You are merciless." Chuckled Mingi. "Don't worry, though. I'm a very persuasive man. I'm sure I could get you to change your tune."
Your patience was wearing thin. You didn't know how much more you could take. This man's incessant questions and flirty remarks were beginning to drive you to madness.
"Look," You started, placing a bag of snacks into your basket. "I'm not interested, okay? Nothing you say and nothing you do will change my mind, got it?"
Mingi's brows raised at your harsh words, but you could see that he wasn't affected by them. In fact, he actually had the audacity to smirk.
"We'll see about that."
Weeks passed and every time you left the house, you ran into Mingi. It didn't matter where you went, he was always there. He had somehow found a way to be exactly where you were every single time—and it was annoying.
Mingi's shadow slipped underneath the front door of his shop, slinking across the walls until it got to the office located in the back.
"Ah. There you are." Mingi greeted. "What have you found out?"
His shadow moved close to him, leaning in, telling him something in a hushed voice.
"What's that?" Mingi asked, leaning closer so he could hear better.
His shadow whispered in his ear, a smirk tugging at Mingi's lips as he listened to the information his shadow provided him.
"Ah. So, she's going to an art festival? Perhaps I'll pay her a visit."
You walked along the sidewalk, browsing the tents set up on the street. There were many different artists selling a wide variety of wares. From uniquely-shaped vases to colorful works of art—they had it all. You enjoyed going places alone every once in a while, so when you heard about a nearby art festival, you knew you had to check it out.
Your fingers ran over a canvas painting, feeling the texture of the pigment. Bright colors were spread across the surface, layered and mixed to make different hues and shadows in the artwork.
"This is a really nice painting." You told the vendor. "How long did it take you?"
"Around 48 hours."
"Woah. That's a lot of work."
"It is." The vendor nodded. "But, I enjoy it, so I don't even realize how much time passes."
You smiled softly.
You loved hearing about the interests and hobbies of others, especially how they enjoy it so much it doesn't feel like work or that they get so immersed in it that they lose track of time.
"Fate just keeps bringing us together."
The soft smile on your face fell immediately.
That better not be who I think it is.
You slowly turned towards Mingi who stood behind you, propped on his cane that he constantly carried with him.
Every time you saw him, he was wearing some sort of vest and jacket, each one with a different pattern or color. Today was no different, except that there were round glasses perched on his nose. You had to admit, the spectacles made him appear softer in a way.
You paused.
The mere thought that Mingi looked softer put you back in your place. You quickly reminded yourself that this man was a scam artist (and a stalker, apparently) and shook away any thoughts about him being remotely soft, pushing them away to the deepest corners of your mind, hoping they wouldn't resurface.
You told the vendor goodbye and wished them luck on their sales before approaching Mingi, your expression cold and void of any emotion except anger and annoyance.
"If you don't quit stalking me, I'm going to call the cops."
"The cops? I'd like to see them try and do something." He chuckled.
"Why can't you just leave me alone? I only visited your measly little shop to right a wrong for my brother. The deal is done. I have no business with you any more, so I don't know why you keep following me around."
Mingi tilted his head to the side, an amused expression plastered on his face.
"What do you want from me?" You asked flat-out, not cutting any corners.
"I want you, Y/n."
You weren't expecting that answer at all. You tried to cover up the fact that you were caught off guard, responding in a cold voice.
"You can't have me."
"Is that a challenge?" He raised a brow.
"No. It's a statement."
You turned on your heel, leaving him standing on the sidewalk. You didn't care that you had ditched him. After all, he's the one who encroached on your day out.
A nearby tent caught your attention. The vendor had many intricate wood carvings on display. They were so beautiful that you stopped for a moment to admire them, complimenting the man on his incredible handiwork. You chatted with him for a moment, asking how he makes such complex creations. You ended up purchasing a small keychain with a carving of a skull hanging from it.
You continued down the street, taking a few moments to check out anything that caught your eye. One of those items was a medium-sized canvas with multicolored neon shapes painted on the surface. The background was black, making the vibrant hues stand out. You loved it and you had to have it.
Greeting the woman running the booth, you immediately picked up the canvas, mentioning how much you loved it. After glancing at the price, you decided you would purchase it. You looked down only for a moment, digging through your wallet to retrieve some cash for the lady. You had just counted out the money when a hand extended past you, neatly folded bills held between two slender, ring-clad fingers.
"I got it covered."
The lady took the money, thanking the person. You turned to see Mingi behind you, his tall form leaned over you slightly. You had to keep it together long enough for the vendor to hand you the canvas which had been placed in a plastic shopping bag. You gave her a friendly smile and wished her luck on the rest of her sales before walking away so she wouldn't hear you scream at Mingi.
As much as you wanted to think he bought that for you out of the kindness of his heart, you knew he didn't. He had something up his sleeve.
"Aren't you gonna thank me?" Mingi asked before you had the chance to say anything to him.
"No."
"Ah. Well, I suppose that's fine. However, you do owe me."
"I beg your pardon?" You asked, stopping in your tracks.
"You owe me." He repeated.
"I don't owe you anything."
"Oh, but you do. I just paid for that painting."
"That was your choice. I had nothing to do with it."
"You still owe me."
"You know what?" You muttered, digging through your wallet. You pulled out enough money to cover the cost of the painting, shoving the cash into his chest. He stumbled a bit, placing his hand over the money to keep it from falling.
"I paid you back. We're square now." You told him.
"Did you?" He raised a brow.
You narrowed your eyes at him as he showed you an empty hand. You looked in your wallet, then began patting down your pockets, reaching into one of them, pulling out the wad of cash you'd just given to Mingi.
"Wh-what? How did you—"
"Like I said, you owe me."
"You... you..." Trailing off, you tried to find the right words to describe the man in front of you. "You snake!"
He seemed unfazed by the attempted insult.
"Whatever it is you're wanting me to do, I won't do it." You snapped.
"Spend the day with me." He told you.
"You really think I want to spend the day watching you scam people? No thanks."
"Would you rather do something else? I'm sure I could think of other ways for you to make it up to me." He told you, his eyes looking you up and down.
Your mouth fell open. "You sicko."
"That's not what I meant." He huffed. "Look, I just want you to spend the day with me, that's all. Come hang out at my shop with me."
"I'm not interested." You told him, sternly.
"Excuse me, young lady." Someone called out, catching your attention.
You turned towards the voice to see where it was coming from. A man in a black coat wearing many odd necklaces made of bone stepped out into the street.
"Me?" You pointed to yourself.
"Yes."
"What is it?" You inquired, stepping towards the man's tent, noticing all the unique and odd jewelry he sold.
"You are quite a stunning young woman."
"Oh. Thank you." You responded, thrown off by the strange and sudden compliment.
"I think you'd look lovely wearing this necklace." He grabbed a black velvet box from behind the table, opening it up to show you the product.
The chain was silver and on the end was a unique pendant, one that you'd never seen before. An iridescent stone was encased in intricate, silver designs. The gemstone is what really caught your attention. It changed colors in the light, looking purple from one direction, then a green-ish teal color from the other. But, if you looked at it straight on, it was a mix of colors—it was enchanting.
"It's beautiful." You commented.
"I made it myself." The man told you, removing it from the box. "Go on. Have a look. You can try it on if you'd like."
You stepped forward, your hand reaching for the necklace. Just then, Mingi's hand shot out, grabbing onto your wrist before you could even touch the pendant. You turned to him with a questioning look on your face.
"Sorry, but we're not interested." He told the man in a stern tone, his voice dangerously low.
The vendor gave Mingi a hard glare as you were dragged away.
"What was that about?" You asked once the man was out of earshot.
"There was a bad energy surrounding that necklace." Mingi responded, his face solemn. "It's probably cursed."
"Cursed? Why would someone try to sell me a cursed necklace?"
"There are dangerous people in the world who love meddling with the lives of others."
"Isn't that what you do?"
"No. I help people. Sometimes I have sneaky ways of doing it, but it's nothing like what that man does."
"You both trick people. I don't see the difference." You stated.
"That may be true, but at least I don't try and sell people cursed items."
You were about to tease him for admitting that he indeed scams people, but you knew all along, so there was no need to joke about it.
You did feel a little touched by the fact that he stopped you from getting a malediction from a cursed necklace. You honestly didn't think he had it in him.
"I'll spend the day with you." You spoke up.
"What?" Mingi turned to you, his normally sharp and narrow eyes now wide in surprise, glimmering with hope.
You had to stop yourself from fawning over how insanely adorable his eyes were.
You cleared your throat before repeating yourself. "I'll spend the day with you."
"Really? What made you change your mind?"
"You just saved me from catching a curse. I guess I owe you for that."
The very next day you found yourself standing in Mingi's voodoo shop again, this time on your own volition. You walked around the room, getting a good look at everything inside. If you were going to be there all day, you might as well make the most of it.
He had all sorts of strange knickknacks, trinkets, and novelties. One of those being lucky rabbit foot keychains. You figure that was typical for a voodoo shop. On the driftwood shelf, besides all the strange liquid-filled bottles, there appeared to be elixirs and bath salts, some promising good luck, while others just promised a boost of energy. In a basket under a wall of ominous-looking masks were dozens of voodoo dolls.
"Do people actually use these?" You asked.
"They sure do, my dear." Mingi answered.
"Seriously?" You turned towards him. "Do they work?"
"Would you like to test one and find out?"
You recoiled your hand, not liking how confident his tone was. "No thanks."
"Very well. The offer is still on the table if you change your mind." He hummed, straightening his jacket and smoothing his hair out.
The door to the shop opened, catching your attention. A customer stepped inside, looking around the small building.
"Ah. Welcome." Mingi greeted. "Is there anything I can help you with on this fine morning?"
"I was told you do card readings." The young man spoke.
"I do indeed. Have a seat."
You watched as Mingi's shadow moved across the floor, pulling the chair out for the customer. Every time you saw his shadow move, you got a shiver down your spine. Something wasn’t right. It may be Mingi's shadow, but it seems to have a mind of its own and is beyond his control.
"Am I interrupting something?" The man asked, noticing your presence.
"No. She's just watching me work, that's all." Mingi brushed it off. "So, what would you like to know? Your future? Or maybe there's a certain someone you have your eye on and you want to see if you'll win them over. Hm?" He raised a curious brow.
"Y-yes! How'd you know that?" The man questioned.
"I know everything. I can see right into your heart and soul." He responded, shuffling his tarot cards.
"Wow."
Mingi then began the card reading, holding them out to the customer. He selected his cards and Mingi begin interpreting each one. He shook his head, making a tsk sound.
"Seems like you won't ever get with this girl."
"What?" The man frowned.
"Yes. The cards are telling me that she'll find someone else."
You crossed your arms, upset by the man's reading.
"Aw. Don't look so down." Mingi cooed, placing the end of his cane under the man's chin, using it to lift the his head. "I have something that'll help win her heart."
"Really?" The man's face lit up instantly.
"Of course." Mingi stood from his chair, striding over to a cabinet. He retrieved a small box, carrying it over to the table. He open it up revealing a beautiful necklace with a heart- shaped charm.
"That's beautiful."
"It's powerful too."
"What?"
"The necklace is charmed. If you put it on her, she'll fall in love with you."
"For real?"
Mingi nodded.
"Hm." The man hummed. "Do you have anything else?"
Mingi seemed disappointed, but turned up the charm, smiling brightly. "Of course."
He strode over to the shelf of bottles, retrieving one of them. "How about a love potion?"
You rolled your eyes.
Yeah, right.
"A love potion?" The customer parroted.
"Yes. If you give her some of this, she'll fall for you instantly."
"Really? How do you know?"
"I got it from my friends on the other side. They can make all sorts of magic potions."
"Woah."
Friends on the other side?
He's said that before. As far as you know, you've only seen his shadow, so who are these friends of his?
"How much?" The man asked, pulling you from your thoughts.
You cleared your throat, grabbing Mingi's attention. You stared at him intently, shaking your head no, silently telling him not to trick that man.
"Excuse me a moment." Mingi walked over to you, making sure you were both far enough from the man that he wouldn't hear.
"What are you doing?" You whispered harshly.
"Business." He responded, plainly.
"No you're not. You're scamming. What's the truth behind that necklace? And that so-called love potion?"
"Well, they both really do work. If he uses the love potion, he has to be the first person she sees. The necklace only works when she's wearing it. And as soon as the necklace is clasped around her neck, her soul immediately belongs to my friends on the other side."
"What?!" You whisper-yelled trying not to completely freak out. "You're gonna let him sell this girl's soul without knowing?"
"If he chooses the necklace, yeah."
"How can you be so nonchalant about this? Do you not have any remorse?"
"I have to please my friends on the other side."
"What?"
"You see, doll. I have these friends—beings, if you will. They help me make things become a reality for people, but they need something in return. I do the bidding for them and give them what they want, and in return, they give me something I want."
"That's sick." You spat.
"It's just business, dear." He brushed you off, returning to his unsuspecting customer.
"So, what do you say?" He asked, taking his place back at the table.
"How much for the necklace?"
"Free of charge." Mingi smiled. "All I ask is payment for the card reading. That's it."
The customer was enticed by the offer and was ready to accept.
Knowing what you know now, you didn't want the poor guy to get caught up in a bigger mess. You stared Mingi down, shaking your head. He stared back, his eyes not leaving yours for a long moment as he reconsidered. Then, before the customer could answer, he spoke up.
"Actually," Mingi started. "Forget the necklace, the potion too. There's another way you can possibly change the outcome of all this."
"Really? How?"
"What you need to do is take her out. Ask her on a date and see where it goes from there."
"Are you sure?"
Mingi nodded. "I can't guarantee that it will work, but it's worth a shot. The sooner you do it, the better. That way no one else snags her before you."
"Okay. I think I can muster up the courage to ask her. Thank you so much." The man smiled, pulling money from his pocket. "I'll definitely try that."
Mingi took the cash from him. "Before you go, take this." He grabbed a rabbit's foot keychain, placing it into the man's hand. "Good luck."
"Wow. Thanks a lot!" The customer beamed, leaving the shop.
As soon as the door closed, the fortune teller turned to you.
"Are you happy? You probably screwed me out of a customer." He grumbled, counting the cash.
You saw his eyes widen before he began to frantically recount the bills in his hand.
"He paid me extra."
"What?"
"He paid me a few dollars more than what I charge." He gaped.
"Really?"
"Yeah. He must have really liked my advice." Mingi smiled, shoving the money into his pocket. "I'm a genius."
"You wouldn't have given that advice had I not stopped you from completely ruining his life."
He pursed his lips, narrowing his eyes. "Fine. I suppose you have a point."
Throughout the day, you watched Mingi give readings to people and try to sell them items that you knew had a twisted backstory to them. Somehow, you were able to get him to rethink things and give his customers an actual solution to their problems rather than scamming them into purchasing something that would possibly ruin their lives.
All in all, you'd say your time spent with Mingi wasn't all that bad and you were glad that you were able to possibly save the souls of a few people during your time in the shop.
"Well, today was... enlightening to say the least." You said. "I should go now."
You prepared to leave until Mingi stopped you.
"Would you like something to eat before you go home? You've been here all day and neither of us have eaten. I'll pay."
"You won't use it as an excuse to say I owe you again, will you?"
"No." He shook his head. "Promise."
You were pretty hungry and you couldn't turn down free food, so you agreed. A delivery order was called in shortly. You assisted Mingi in tidying up his shop after a long day while you waited for your meal to be delivered.
Half an hour passed and you found yourself sitting at the round table in the middle of the shop chatting with Mingi while the two of you ate.
"So, what did you think?" Mingi asked, grabbing a large bite of ramen.
"Well, I didn't like how you tried to trick people. I did, however, like what you told them after you chose to be honest."
He couldn't help but feel proud of himself after hearing your words. At first, he was angry that you made him feel guilty for attempting to scam people, but as the day went on, he realized it wasn't so bad. He'd have to find a way to make up for it when he contacts his friends on the other side later, but he wasn't really worried about that at the moment. He was having a wonderful time with you.
Mingi's shadow was agitated that you managed to get in his head and talk him out of striking any deals. The shadow knew you were bad news from the start. You deterred Mingi from doing many tasks, which caused his friends on the other side to become impatient. What happened today would be the cherry on top. They would show him no mercy if he continued this behavior.
"So, the voodoo dolls do work?" You questioned.
"Of course."
"I bet you sell those to people without warning them of the consequences." You commented.
"On the contrary. I actually do warn people before they buy those. I don't want anyone to do something they'll regret."
You looked at Mingi's expression and the way his eyes stared into yours. He was telling the truth.
"Hm. So you do care for your customers." You teased playfully.
He let out a chuckle. "Of course I do."
"This food is great, by the way. Thanks for buying."
"It's the least I could do. I know you didn't exactly want to be here today."
"Actually, if I'm being honest, it wasn't all that bad. Also, I appreciated the way you protected me yesterday when that weirdo tried to sell me a cursed necklace. I felt like I really did owe you."
"I just didn't want you to get yourself in a messy situation. Truth is, I care about you a lot." Mingi admitted.
His words surprised you and made your heart melt at the same time.
Before you could process what was going on, Mingi's shadow lunged for you, knocking you from your chair, pinning you to the ground.
You let out a yelp, struggling to pull yourself off the floor. You couldn't help but wonder how a shadow was so strong.
"Hey!" Mingi shouted. "What are you doing?"
He got up from his seat so fast, his chair nearly fell over. "Get off of her!" He roared, his voice so gravelly and threatening that it sent a shiver down your spine.
Then, you felt the ghostly grip on your wrists disappear. You pushed yourself into a sitting position, your heart pounding violently against your rib cage.
"Y/n." Mingi panted. "I'm so sorry. I... it's never done that before. I swear I had nothing to do with it."
"I need to go home." You responded, your mind in a haze.
"Wait. Please—"
"I can't handle this." You told him, heading towards the door. "I'm sorry. I need to leave."
That's the last time Mingi saw you.
You were in the middle of cleaning your room, tossing things you didn't want into a donate box and throwing away invoices from past online orders and other paper junk into the trash.
There was a knock on the front door, but you paid no mind to it, assuming your brother would answer it since you had your hands full at the moment.
However, the knocking persisted.
"Wooyoung! Can you not hear there's someone at the door?" You shouted down the hallway.
"Yeah." He called back from the living room.
"Are not gonna answer it? I'm kinda busy."
"You do it. I'm in the middle of a drama."
You let out a long sigh, stomping into the living room.
"Can you not pause it?"
"No." He responded, his eyes glued to the TV.
"You're unbearable." You said through gritted teeth, going to answer the door.
The person on the other side was not who you were expecting.
Mingi stood at your doorstep, his head hanging low. You would have told him to go away had you not noticed he wasn't wearing his usual getup. Instead of his customary vest and cardigan or suit jacket combo, he had on a white dress shirt tucked into a pair of black slacks. It was much more toned-down than the outfits he usually wore.
Before you could open your mouth, he spoke.
"I'm done."
"What?"
"I cut ties with the shadow realm."
"Why?"
"For you."
"For me?" You parroted.
He nodded. "This crooked and shady life I'm living isn't the life I want. Especially if it ends up hurting you."
"This isn't a trick... is it?" You inquired.
He shook his head.
"So, let me get this straight. You cut ties with those friends of yours for me?"
"I did."
"And what about your...shadow?" Your eyes trailed to look at the shape cast along the concrete walkway behind him.
He followed your gaze, noticing your uneasy behavior. "It's gone. Just a normal shadow now. Cutting ties got rid of all the abilities I had."
"I see."
"I'm really sorry about what happened that evening at my shop. I had no control over my shadow. It just attacked without warning. Truthfully, I think it's because it knew—"
"Y/n! Who's at the door?" Wooyoung shouted from the living room, cutting Mingi off.
You let out a sigh, rolling your eyes.
"None of your business!" You shouted back before turning to Mingi. "I'm sorry about him."
"It's fine. Maybe we could just stand outside and talk." He suggested. "That way we have some privacy."
"Good idea."
You stepped outside, closing the front door so Wooyoung wouldn't try to eavesdrop.
"Alright. You were saying?"
"Right. My shadow... I think it knew that I was going soft."
"Going soft?" You inquired.
"Yes." He nodded, taking in a deep breath like he was preparing to say something extremely important. "Y/n, I was drawn to you from the start. I got my shadow to follow you around after you first came to my shop. That's how I always knew where you were. I just wanted to see you any chance I got. Then, my feelings began to get more serious and I wanted to do things to make you happy. I wanted to protect you. I guess my shadow realized that I was becoming soft and drifting from my old ways. It tired to hurt you because it thought you were getting in the way."
There was so much information to take in. Mingi had his shadow follow you? But, he likes you and obviously cares for you. Not only that, but he's changing his ways for you. He cut ties with the shadow realm for you. That's a pretty big commitment.
"You were right for calling me a stalker. In a way, I was. I'm sorry." He apologized.
"Actually, it's okay. Technically, it wasn't you following me. Also, I can see that you've changed drastically. You're not the same voodoo shop owner I met a month ago."
Mingi's heart soared hearing you say that. Knowing that he had, at the very least, earned your trust was a big accomplishment for him.
"So, would you maybe be willing to give us a chance?" He asked, softly, his hands finding yours.
Your eyes landed on your joined hands, looking at the way his large ones encased your smaller ones.
"I think..." You trailed off, looking back up at Mingi. "I think I'd be up for that."
His eyes became wide, looking rounder and more innocent, sparkling with hope.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah." You nodded.
Being caught in the moment, Mingi started to lean in, only to catch himself before he got too close.
"Can I kiss you?" He asked, softly. His voice barely above a whisper. He didn't want to do anything you weren't okay with.
"You can."
Mingi then closed the narrow gap between your faces, his full and plush lips pressing delicately against yours. Your eyes fluttered closed immediately, melting into the kiss. His large hands let go of yours, holding the small of your back, pulling you against him. The closeness had your heart racing. You had never experienced anything like this before. You were feeling emotions and feelings you had never felt in your life. A rush of heat flooded your body and it felt like butterflies were running rampant in your stomach. All these new feelings were overwhelming but so amazing.
The feeling of Mingi's hands running up and down your back sent tingles up your spine, making you feel warm from the inside out.
Your fingers latched onto the ends of his silvery hair, grabbing at the long strands in the back. Based on the sigh he let out against your lips, he liked that.
After a while, you pulled away, feeling short of breath. You and Mingi stared at each other for a few moments, both of you panting, trying to catch your breath. Mingi's partially exposed chest rose up and down with each huff as his hooded eyes stared into yours. Your arms were wrapped around his slim waist, holding him tightly, not wanting to let go.
"You were right." You spoke up, still breathless.
"What do you mean?"
"About finding love in an unexpected place."
You could see Mingi's cheeks tint pink.
That's exactly what he said to you after your card reading. At the time, Mingi could see into the future, but even he didn't know who you would end up with. He had no idea he would be the one.
"I guess I found love in an unexpected place too." He admitted.
"Why do you seem so surprised? I thought you knew everything." You teased with a smirk.
He couldn't help but grin.
"As much as I hate to, I'd better get back inside. You know, before Wooyoung comes out here and starts harassing me."
"Right." Mingi chuckled.
"I'd like to see you again." You told him as you went to open the front door.
"You have my card. Just give me a call." He winked. "We'll sort something out."

how knights act like with a crush — 1/2 parts!
featuring tsukasa, ritsu, leo x gn reader
warnings swearing 💔
genre + layout fluff/crack, headcanons/bulleted layout
a/n YIPPEE reqs open for knights 😈
s. tsukasa
2nd place for in denial awards, 1st being izumi.. unfortunately! he isn't here.
denies liking you FOR SO LONG it's so sickening, even though it's painfully obvious that he does like you; he just doesn't realize that.
the only reason is because he says a relationship would be too distracting, because obviously, with his idol work and being the next heir of the suou family, he can't a afford a relationship right now. “who says they would even date you?” “RITSU STOP BEING MEAN” “I'M NOT??”
has a habit of buying you food, incase you didn't eat yet. does this LITERALLY everyday, and even if you did eat already, he'd probably just say; “oh.. then you can just eat this later.”
and of course his members would tease him about his ‘not-crush’.. yeahhh totally they believe that (more under the cut!)
“suo~ you to~tally have a crush on [name] don't you?” — leo. “i-i don't! where'd you even get that from..?!” — tsukasa.
has a harder time to suppress his emotions for you if you're clingy. are you wishing for this death at this point? please stop that..
gets so visibly flustered whenever you hug him, saying that quote unquote “it's inappropriate because we're in a workplace” erm okay...... don't act like you don't like it you silly goose (insult)
when you do stop tho he gets upset. “you brought this upon yourself idk why ur so sad dawg” — knights “STOP”
you noticed that, obviously.. so you decided that the best option was to probably..? keep hugging him.
“why do you keep on doing this?” (HE'S WON IN LIFE) “plz stop being delusional..”
probably. asks advice from arashi mainly because she's the only trustable one in knights. (maybe ritsu too but he currently doesn't know where he is right now) if he really does like you. “WELL............... *proceeds to recite a whole paragraph*" — arashi.
“oh.”
AFTER MONTHS. of denying his crush on you. he has decided to finally face his fears and accept it. like the big boy he i-
has been taking care of you more, asking how are you through text, but still with perfect grammar and punctuations. tsukasa do you want to tell [name] anything.
TAKES SOOOOO long to plan on how to confess. bro it probably takes him a month to confess (planning included). that's for another fic tho.
s. ritsu
doesn't like the fact that he likes you because the feeling is annoying. he hates the fact that he wants your attention everyday, every moment. but he can't help that he wants to be loved.. right? (im just like him fr. head in hands)
the way he's looking at you with stars in his eyes whenever he isn't sleeping, his shoulders are slumped while he's sitting down, looking up at you arranging knights' schedule for this week. “fix your posture, ritsu..” “o-oh..”
he feels a weird thing in his stomach whenever you defend him from people belittling him. other students have done this for him before, but why when it's coming from you.. it's different somehow.
but when they shit talk YOU because of him... OHOHOOOO he's gonna start a riot.
“ritsu.. please stop biting people to the point that they'll bleed.” “NO.”
he often finds himself clinging to you and laying on your lap! especially after once he decided that he can't control his feelings, so.. typically he just tries to embrace it.
but in all honesty? ritsu's genuinely afraid that you might think he's too clingy and you would want to distance yourself from him.
he feels a great sense of warmth when you do return his affection back tho (ノ´∀`*) . he feels soooo content with you— he already wants to be with you in the future!
ritsu often hugs you from your back whenever you're doing something, which often makes people ask, “are you two dating..?” to which you deny. ritsu feels sad.. he just doesn't know that you want it to be true as well.
sometimes he's the one who answers tho, and he says, “yes. we are (#‵′)” which IMMEDIATELY flusters you, and ritsu being ritsu, he definitely teases you about it, and once he found that out, he answers for you and teases you about your ‘cute, little flustered face.’
+ one for them filipino ritsuP's (fem, sorry 😭) he'd definitely call you “misis ko”
t. leo
his crush is either painfully obvious or absolutely no one can tell if it's platonic or romantic love; mainly because he says ‘i love you’ and is painfully affectionate and clingy to everyone.
probably leaning to more obvious though. It really depends.
someone could be like “leo, [name] is there oh!”“WHERE?!”
they were just kidding.
...thats what makes having a crush on him so hard. he gives these mixed signals but then you quickly realize he does those to other people as well.
he's definitely one of those people who's awkward with their crush. “thank you for being here to see us practice! and.. for being so beautiful..“ “what?” “BRAVE. thank you for being so BRAVE.”
hugs you randomly?? from the back, side, or front bro and INHALES your scent like it's the last thing he'll be smelling until he loses his sense of smell 💀
pay attention to someone else and he's gonna be wiping his tears with a hamster.
HE GETS SOOOOO JEALOUS to the point that you don't know whether to laugh or be concerned. is it really how a friend should be worrying about you? HMMMM
“im gonna be producing another new unit for awhile—” “NUH UH. NO! YOU'RE ONLY OURS!” “LEO-SAN THEY DON'T BELONG TO US”
writes multiple love songs about you and knights definitely tease him about it. you probably somehow find it while cleaning up his messes...
sounds something a little bit like lovers by anna of the north or either from the start by laufey! or... love like you from steven universe <3
or if it's a sappy song, take romantic homicide or let you break my heart again as a reference.
“but [name] is gonna be busy again today.” “aaaUGGhHHHHHHh 😭😭😭😭💔💔💔”
he cannot physically stay away from you for more than a day. if you go to another country— best believe knights will have a concert there.

Sweet revenge
Hwang Hyunjin x reader.
idol!hyunjin x idol!reader word count: 1,3k warnings: kinda angsty, jealous hyunjin (lives in my head rent free), resentful reader, swearing. note: hi guys! i just wanted to keep a little update for you all while i'm working with the 2min sharing is caring part. i hope you enojoy this. <3 love ya.
"So you're really doing it"
"I'm totally doing it"
"Everyone is gonna know..."
"Yeah, that's kind of the idea" You smiled at her "I want him to feel as stupid as I did"
"Yeah, I get it but―"
"Stop defending him" you cutted her off. "If you're on his side then be, but don't come here and annoy me"
"I'm not" she added "What he did was wrong, periodt. BUT" she emphasized the last word "You'll expose him in front of everyone"
"He will know"
"Okay, but the people who knew you will know too" she paused "plus he sucks at hiding shit"
"That's on him, he sucks at media training" you laughed when remembered the many times he almost exposed your relationship with him just because his goofyness.
"Okay, I'm just warning you" she smiled and walked towards you "Have fun and break a leg" she hugged your body and let you go.
"Thank you, Somi" You smiled at her and moments later, she left.
[Later that day...]
'I met a guy in the summer and I left him in the spring, he argued with me about everything.'
Your song started blasting on the huge speakers from the award show, the sound of the drums was making the people's chest even vibrate a bit
'He had an ego and a temper and a wandering eye, he said he's six foot two and I'm like dude... nice try.'
And there it was, the first direct lyrics against your ex lover, standing right in first row with his beloved members right beside him.
You weren't even trying to hide that you wanted to see his reactions over the lyrics, you kept an eye on his table from the first moment you got a foot on stage.
'But he was so much fun, and he had such weird friends, and he would take us out to parties and the night would never end. Another song, another club, another bar, another dance, and when he'd said something wrong, he'd just fly me to France.'
You knew his members knew about you, so there was no surprise to you when they laughed out loud with the 'weird friends'.
When the song reached the France line, in the screens from the place there were shown many pictures of you in the country... The ones that Hyunjin took for you in his own little camera. Yes, you'd save them for years if you needed to.
'So I miss him some nights when I'm feeling depressed, till I remember all the times he made a pass on my friend. Do I love him? Do I hate him? I guess it's up and down; If I had to choose... I would say right now...'
Long pause, just to have him on his tippy toes. Jeongin was literally grabbing him, waiting for the music to break and expecting the next lyrics.
'I want to get him back, wanna make him really jealous, wanna make him feel bad. Oh, I want to get him back, 'cause then, again, I really miss him and it makes me real sad'
Audience screaming and moving their hands in the air to the rhythm of the music, and a 'I can't believe it' kind of expression in Hyunjin's face was everything that you needed to feel fulfilled.
'Oh, I want sweet revenge. I want him again. I want... To get him back, back, back'
You sang these lyrics while dancing along with Beomgyu, who was banging his head along with the music. You knew Hyunjin was going to be upset about it, you had a zillion discussions with your ex-lover about this guy, and that's why you did it.
'So I write him all these letters and I throw them in the trash cause I miss the way he kisses and the way he made me laugh'
You changed your lyrics while singing live 'the way he grabs my ass' while the backing track stayed true to the official line. Shocked everyone in the room, including your own friends in the building, who knew the real lyrics but didn't expect you to be explicit at this event.
'Yeah, I pour my little heart out, but as I'm hitting "Send"
I picture all the faces of my disappointed friends'
You pointed to those friends in question: Somi, Karina, Giselle, Yujin, Yunjin, and Chaewon between others, who screamed their lungs off from your action, hyping you up.
'Because everyone knew all of the shit that he'd do
He said I was the only girl but that just wasn't the truth'
You side-eyed him and then did the same thing with Yeji, who looked fastly to the floor, hiding her face and then looking away.
Everyone in the industry knew you weren't one to mess with, and yet, those two did.
This was just the begging of a long plan you made up to get your sweet revenge to the one who broke your trust and heart and the one who went along with it.
'And when I told him how he hurt me, he'd tell me I was trippin'. But I am my father's daughter, so maybe I could fix him'
You flutterer your eyes to the camera at the end of the lyric and the chorus started again, you repeating your actions from before.
[...]
"What do you want?" You asked when you observed him through the mirror
"What was all that about?"
"A song I wrote, why?" You asked, not even bothering to turn around and engage the conversation
"I know you wrote it" he rolled his eyes
"Did it touch you deep inside?" You laughed, still eating some snacks
"You shouldn't have done that. The France pictures? Y/n, that was risky"
"Risky?" You turned back this time "Fuck off, Hyunjin. Fuck you, and Yeji. Oh wait, you've already done that"
"Why are you not taking your makeup off?" He ignored your comment "You always take your makeup off after performing"
"Because I've got a date and I like the makeup" you smiled
"Oh, do you? Who is it?"
"Why do you care?" You brought another snack to your lips
"Is it Beomgyu?"
"Why do you care so much who's dick I ride?" You frowned
"You had sex with him already?" His ears turned red
"It's none of your business. Keep your dick inside Yeji and don't bother me."
"We were wasted, I didn't mean to do it. You know it" the man stared at you trying to hide his emotions.
"I don't care! You hurt me, Hyunjin. I was the one to find you two having naked aftercare. AFTERCARE. You don't do aftercare with a one-time-accidental hook up." You sighted for a moment "I won't fucking cry and ruin my makeup. Leave. Now." Your eyes were already watery as you tried to stop the tears
"I won't." He stood his ground in front of you
"Leave, they're gonna pick me up any minute and I don't want you here to ruin it"
"No. Please forgive me, I didn't mean to hurt you." he took your hand and you pulled it away quickly
"Don't touch me. My trust in you is broken, there's no going back" you denied as you took a few steps away from him
"Please" his eyes were the ones that were watery now, you could tell he was being honest, but you couldn't forgive him after what he made you feel.
"Y/ninnie, time to gooo" A voice cooed from the door as you froze
"Chan Hyung?" Hyunjin turned himself faster than ever, as his eyes met his leaders
"Hyunjin? I... I didn't expect you here" the older one blinked a few times as you observed everything from behind Hyunjin's body
"Hyung... What are you doing here?"
You thought that getting him back was gonna make everything better, but hearing the hurt in his voice broke you even more.
"Mate, I can explain" His leader walked inside
Hyunjin didn't even say another word, he just walked past his member, looking back at both of you, and left the room as one tear rolled down his face.
You felt how your world crashed inside of you. Turns out that getting him back was not what you needed, and just hurt yourself even more.

anyway idm what you do, have fun with it!! hope you have a good day <33
SORRY IK IT IS SUPER LATE, AND I TRULY WANTED TO DO THIS!!
ALSO I WAS RAMBLING A LOT BUT HOPE YOU LIKE IT;)
~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^
It's a Friday and school just ended, you go to the usual spot to meet Akaashi before he has to practice. A bench under the tree, on the opposite side of the gym, giving you guys time to talk, before making it to the gym.
After some time you see Akaashi turn the corner, from sitting on the bench you stand up to greet him. Smiling as you make your way toward him.
"There you are, I was wondering if you ever were gonna come," you say jokingly.
"Sorry, that was my bad I was caught up with some schoolwork," Akaashi says. In reality, he was writing in his notebook about you. He has a notebook, where he keeps specific tabs about you. Your likes and dislikes, also including plans about what he would want in the future, plans like...
.
.
.
"Y/N, I was wondering if after practice today, would you want to come over to my house to study?" Akaashi says walking.
"Sure, our AP test is coming up, and I'll be lucky if I get 3/5," you say shyly, following after him. (Headcanon that Akaashi takes AP classes) *ALSO I SWEAR I'M GONNA FAIL THAT TEST!!!*
"No comment," Akaashi says as he continues to walk.
"Hey why'd you say that?" you ask, confused and a bit offended.
"Well.. what did you think I would say?" Akaashi asks curious.
"I don't know, just not that, maybe something encouraging at least," you say, trying to defend yourself.
"If I say something encouraging either one, you would hype yourself up thinking your gonna do well, then do just below that, and get all sad and guilty,"
"When have I ever done anything like that?" you ask not believing that you would do anything like that.
"Remember your Biology finial, you said that you wanted to get at least a 90, I said how you've been studying so your gonna do amazing, but then you got 89. You ended up with a B for that class, you stayed in you room a whole week during summer, all depressed."
"It dropped my perfect GPA," you say defending yourself.
"Or two, you would study all the time till you only do well on that one test and forget about the rest, before you say anything, midterms... Your lucky it was only midterms."
"That only happened once," In your defense you learned never to try that again.
Rolling his eyes he finally says "Or three, if I encourage you right now, you might not take studying seriously and think you can just wing the test, and therefore end up failing."
"Oh yeah.. I do that one a lot don't I," you say embarrassed.
"You have been improvising a lot more than you usually have, now that I think about it, is something wrong?" Akaashi asks concerned.
"Oh.. you've noticed that?" you ask as you stopped walking, looking down ashamed. " I admit that I have not been studying as much as before... I just feel like I'm burning out... or maybe I am burnt out..."
Akaashi going right in front of you, he just pats your head, it may seem small, but it is your favorite form of affection from him.
"You know it is normal to be burnt out, the important and most hardest part is overcoming it. I'm always free when you need me. If you want I'll skip practice today, we can just go straight to my house," Akaashi offers.
"That's very sweet of you Keji, but the volleyball team really needs you. You're the only one who can handle Bokuto, and I can't imagine how sad Bokuto would be when he finds out you're not there today." You reassure him.
"You know I care about you, more than I care about volleyball and Bokuto, just say the word and we can go to my house," Akaashi says, persisting.
"Keji, pretty soon is the Spring Nationals, you need to prepare, I'll meet you after your practice," you say as you start to part ways.
Unexpectedly Akaashi follows you grabbing you hand softly.
"Where are you going," he asks. Normally you would wait for him in the gym's girls locker rooms, till his practice is over, since there was air condition inside.
"I thought that today.. I would go stay in class and wait for you, maybe study a bit before.. so that you don't need to catch me up on anything, then we can study faster tonight," you said.
"What are you hiding?" he ask.
"I'm not hiding anything," you said defending yourself.
"You're avoiding eye contact with me, you keep scratching your neck, and your more defensives than normal, I can tell when you are trying to hide something Y/N," he said. After a few more moments of silence you finally confessed.
"Alright fine... one of my friends invited me to join track practice today, I know you don't want to join any sports, but it was just a practice, I'm not going to join," you said admittingly.
"Was that all you were trying to hide?" Akaashi asks, acting surprised. "I'm sorry if you felt like that was something you had to hide from me," his words so soothing, hiding the venom within.
"It was just because whenever I tell you about a club I was going to join you would always turn the idea down, or convince me not to do the club,"
"That is not true-"
"Soft tennis, kyudo, archery, ice skating, and now track and field," you cut him off, apparently Akaashi was not the only one that was keeping tabs on their partner.
"I just don't want you getting hurt, and plus who knows... what if you get too involved in the sport and fall behind in school, also when you compete would you be willing to do it, all eyes would be on you, I know you get anxious in a crowd, and when you compete your coach, teammates, friends would all be counting on you," Akaashi explains.
"Yeah your right," you say, realizing that you shouldn't have thought about ever joining a sport, there would be no way you would be able to handle the stress and pressure.
"I just thought I would be cool to have a sport since your in volleyball, I didn't want you to think I was lazy or something," you say timid.
"I would never think that about you, I know how much you study, how much you help your family around the house, I would never think of you as lazy," He says commending. "But just out of curiosity what type of event would you have picked if you were to do track and field?" he ask.
"It would be pole vault," you say. Hearing those words Akaashi was so glad to have convinced you not to.
Pole vaulter's have upper body strength, and in the emergency of him kidnapping you, with you having some upper body strength it would just be irritating. He would win though.
"Pole vault?" he asks, hesitantly.
"Is there a problem?" you ask curiously.
"It is just that pole vaulting is one of the most hardest events, and you're just going to jump into trying it," is all he says.
But that was more than enough. What were you thinking, trying to pole vault, your in your 3rd year. Image trying to practice, how underclassmen will just see how bad you are. They must be way better, the season started 1 month ago. Also there was other events practicing too, image all those eyes on you.
"Yeah your right, it was just a dumb idea, I'm gonna text my friend that I'm busy," you said as you pulled up your phone, and started texting.
As you start to walk towards the gym with Akaashi following behind you.

The Yule Ball
You were nicely dressed for the occasion and looked around you, but all the people present were wearing masks and you couldn't find any familiar faces..However then, someone that you didn't know took your wrist and you frowned at him. He was smelling like alcohol and he looked at you like a free coursed meal..
" Are you going to dance with me, little bird ?"
You frowned and were about to answer that he could go elsewhere to have his dance when someone else interrupted you.
Severus Snape
"I believe she asked you to leave her alone. Can't you understand English ?"
You both turned around in the direction of the voice and the boy nearly laughed at the boy who had spoken up.
"You should probably watch your mouth, creep..I swear you give me the creeps even with your mask on. Besides, I'm sure the lady will probably choose me over you, isn't that right little bird ?!"
He asked you loudly and a new determination filled you when you saw the crushed expression on the other boy's face. You got out of the other brute’s grip and punched him in the face so hard that you're sure he would feel it for days to come. You then spat angrily at him.
"I would prefer his sweet company over yours any day, you oaf ! Now, get lost !"
The boy started crying and ran away with a bloody nose. You watched him leave and suddenly grimaced in pain at your injured wrist. The oaf had a hard face to punch…The nice boy who had tried to save you looked around shyly and you extended your hand with a kind smile.
"I'm sorry..I'm usually not so violent but, enough is enough and sometimes, a punch in the face is all that they need to get on the right path..Will you dance with me ?"
He looked at your hand and your face multiple times over in shock before finally nodding.
"But…But your hand ?"
You took out your wand and used a spell to make it brand as new and smiled reassuringly at him.
"See ? As good as new."
He didn’t seem that convinced but, decided to take your hand anyway. You then started dancing slowly and you even caught a smile or two coming from your partner.
A few days later, you would learn that the nice young man’s name was Severus. Severus Snape.
James Potter
"I'm sorry but, where did you read on my forehead "Little Bird"? Because that's not my name and I sure as Hell am not dancing with you..ever."
The mean boy frowned at you before tightening his grip on your arm.
"Who do you think you are ?!"
You were about to answer when someone did it for you.
"A classy woman with taste. And you are trash..Now that the presentations are done, could you please get away from my date ?"
You turned around, surprised to see another boy standing there with his hands in his pockets and smiling forcefully at the one who had gripped your arm.
"I don't like repeating myself..So, either you will have disappeared from my sight in the remaining 5 seconds or I’ll get out my wand and give you a little lesson on manners.."
The mean boy—fortunately for you—did not want to fight and ran away when he understood that the threat was real. The boy who defended you then tsskd and whispered angrily.
"Coward.."
You smiled and put your hands on your hips.
"Thanks for the help…But, I could have managed.."
He snorted mockingly at you and you frowned.
"Like Hell you could. The guy was practically dragging you to the exit.."
You humphed unhappily at his reply and was about to get going when he gently took your hand.
"Okay. I'm sorry. I tend to be a bit rude when I see things that pisses me off. And this guy definitely pissed me off. But, I would really like a..?!"
He didn’t have time to finish the end of his sentence that you were already dragging him on the dance floor. You started dancing and he smirked teasingly down at you.
"I was gonna ask for a kiss…but that's nice too."
You blushed a little but replied with another humph.
"Don't push your luck, Potter.."
But, you couldn’t hide your smile and he noticed it. He smiled back at you and whispered in your ear.
"In all honesty, I was kinda jealous..I was not gonna leave that guy take your first dance..After all, you are my date, Y/N.."
Peter Pettigrew
You smiled politely but still insisted on the fact that you didn't want to dance, especially since you didn't know how, but the mean boy was persistent and you started raising your voice at him.
"Hey ! Stop it ! I already have a date and I'm sure he'll be there soon !"
The boy snorted mockingly at you before replying.
"Sorry, sweetcheeks, but if anyone was coming, they would have been there already. Especially after seeing such a piece of work.."
He eyed you up and down suggestively and you blushed in embarrassment—with tears in your eyes. You were about to scream for help when someone suddenly took the hand of the boy and twisted it painfully, making the boy scream in pain.
"The girl said she didn't want to dance. You should have taken the hint the first time around. By the way, sorry for the wait—darling—I took too much time to get prepared.."
Peter looked at you with a smile and winked playfully at you while the pervert got out of his grip and screamed.
"You're crazy !"
He then ran away and you watched him go with a sigh of relief. But then, your savior took a step towards you and extended his hand forward.
"I'm not a good dancer either…but it's better than being harassed by jerks like him all night, right ?"
You hesitated to take his hand, but finally did with a small smile.
"Yes. Thank you, Peter."
He nodded understandingly before finding a corner where you would be far enough from any unrequited attention. He then started to dance with you and you felt safe in his arms.
Lucius Malfoy
You ignored the mean boy and politely asked him to move his hand away, but he only tightened his grip on you.
"Come on. A girl like you should not be alone at a party like this one."
He whispered in your ear and you repeated firmly.
"I was perfectly fine until you came along, sir..And now you're hurting me, so please stop and remove your hand from my person ?"
He frowned at you but, as he was about to say something else, a hand gripped his wrist and you both turned towards the gentleman who was exceptionally well-dressed. There was only one person with such lovely blond hair and splendid fashion style. Lucius. He was frowning at the boy and said in a rather calm but threatening tone.
"I think the lady was clear enough. You are hurting her and she does not want to dance with you.."
The boy glared at him but, let you go and walked away. Your savior glared at the boy until he was out of view and then, he looked back at you with a gentle smile.
"Are you alright, my dear ?"
You smiled back and nodded.
"Yes, thank you.."
He nodded back and to his surprise, you were the one extending your hand towards him.
"I know I just turned him down but, I really want to dance with you. You seem kind and I want to thank you for your help. But, if you don't want to dance, I'll understand and leave you be.."
He looked down at your hand for a second before smiling and taking it.
"It would be my pleasure.." He lead you to the dance floor and you started waltzing together. Then, he bent down and whispered in your ear.
"You are lovely tonight, and as endearingly honest as the first time I met you…Y/N."
You smiled as he uttered your name and pulled him closer.
Sirius Black
"Are you sure you wouldn't prefer a dance with me ? See, the lady and I are a duo kind of deal and if you want to get into her pants..You shall also have to get into mine..Unfortunately, you're not really my type, so, I'll ask you kindly to bugger off, buddy." You looked at your mysterious savior with widened eyes and started laughing as he winked at you playfully.
"Ugh ! Weirdos !" The boy said before walking away, surely to search for another young girl who wasn't protected by a nutcase. You looked up at him and he looked down at you with a knowing smirk.
"Well ? Don't I get a dance after my brave attempt to save you ?"
You arked an eyebrow at him before smirking too.
"Would that not ruin our "duo" ? And brave ? Really ? You just made the both of us look like fools.."
He rolled his eyes playfully before extending his hand forward towards you.
"For you ? I'll take the chance. And I don't really care what they all think, I saved a pretty lady and if you accept to dance with me ? It would have been worth it.."
You chuckled before putting your hand in his and answering.
"Lead the way !"
He then made you both break a path through the many dancers, searching for the spot with the most light and you arked an eyebrow.
"Narcissistic much ?"
He pretended to be offended and gasped dramatically.
"Me ?! Never.."
You both laughed together before starting dancing until the end of the song. You then looked up at him and he smiled down at you.
"Anything on your mind, Y/N ?"
Your eyes widened in surprise.
"You know me ?"
He chuckled before gently running his hand in your hair.
"Of course I know you. Don't you recognize me ? After nearly one year in the same transfiguration class. I thought you would at least have learned my name."
It then clicked and you laughed.
"Well…I’ll be damned. The infamous Sirius Black. McGonagall’s worst nightmare. The prank master. Dancing with little old me. I feel humbled."
Sirius grinned wildly before pulling you closer.
"Yeah…But, tonight. Sirius will do just fine."
You were momentarily stunned before smiling back and accepting his hug wholeheartedly.
"Alright, Sirius."
Remus Lupin
"I'm sorry gentleman but, this lady is already taken."
The mean boy turned towards the boy who had just spoken—ready to protest—but finding that he was at least two heads taller than him and smiled awkwardly.
"Oh. I'm sorry. I didn't know."
He then quickly let go of you and walked away without adding anything. You smiled gratefully at the other boy while gently trying to soothe your wrist by massaging it.
"Thank you. I thought he would never leave."
But then, he frowned at you and you felt scared for a second, only to be reassured when he extended his hand forward and asked.
"Your wrist…May I see it ?"
You showed it to him and he gently ran his thumb over the bruise already forming. He then surprised you by kissing it gently and you blushed multiple shades of red at the intimate gesture. He then guided you away to the part of Hogwarts where you could see the stars and you followed him, as if hypnotised…
He took out a chocolate bar from his pocket and handed it to you.
"It will help with the pain. Trust me."
You took it with a grateful smile.
" Thank you. You are very kind."
He smiled back at you and took off his mask. He then took a deep breath with his eyes closed.
"Finally…I hate masks." He then turned towards you and extended his hand towards you with a smile. "Remus. Remus Lupin."
You looked down at his hand before smiling and shaking it.
"…Y/N. Pleasure."
The Twins
"Hey ! That's no way to treat someone, especially a lady ! And sorry big boy but, she already promised me that dance..."
A ginger-headed boy said while wrapping his arm around your waist. But the mean boy only snickered at him.
"What are you gonna do about it, carrots ?"
Suddenly, another arm wrapped itself around your waist on the other side of you and you were surprised to see the exact same boy who smiled cheekily at him.
"Actually, she promised us that dance, Fred. And it's what we're gonna do to you that you should be worried about. And carrots ?! Really ?! Find some originality at least !"
The boy who was bothering you—outnumbered—ran off while the two boys looked at each other and laughed as they threw the same insults at him.
"Chicken ! Ape ! Gorilla ! Cat-fish !…"
The one called Fred then added.
"See ?! That's originality and talent in one swing ! Take some notes next time !"
You smiled gratefully at them both, recognising your favorite twin brothers and kissed them both on the cheeks.
"Thank you. You're my heroes."
They both blushed wildly and smiled widely at you before answering at the same time.
"No problem !"
You faked trying to remember before asking with a teasing grin.
"Now…who’s my date again ?"
…They started arguing with each other before you decided to give each of them a dance.

I kinda feel like a 🤡 rn.
Back in the day when X was still Twitter and 911 was still interesting, Ryan made that moronic IG Live defending his then wife using the n word and confessed that he and his friends use that and other similar words. I remember Oliver calling him out openly and very publicly. I also remember some, not all buddie/eddie stans calling him a performative white knight and a white savior. I defended this man for standing up and being able to call out his close friend when they do wrong.
And now look at him being all pally and friendly with a right winger and conservative guest star. 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ I can’t believe how much I defend this man in the past.
I think we were sharing the braincell yesterday/today because I swear these talks being had brought me back to what happened in the aftermath of that IG and how The Signs were there even then 😬 Oliver did not need to speak up and was not going to until Twitter started questioning his silence/asking for a response. He knows he doesn't use racial slurs. But he couldn't handle people thinking he did or that he was accepting of someone who does. It wasn't about doing what he thought was right even if he ruffled some feathers. It was about saying what "needed to be said" in order to get people off his back. People whose opinions he should NOT care about. I'd feel sorry for him if he didn't have the option to stay the hell off social media. 🙄 He just can't help himself.

I swear I feel like every time I hear a terf or baeddal talk about transmen I want to stand on a mountain and shout that women can be misogynists too. It always goes 'transmen dont have privilage' -> 'oh so transmen are IMMUNE FROM MISOGYNY' and sure thats a bad faith argument but I think they really believe women are immune. Internalized misogyny still cuts people the same and terfs have a LOT of it tbh.
genuinely I think all of the actual feminist theory, even the shit that has been fucking baseline since 2012, flies out the window when a lot of people are actually challenged on their regular-ass unexamined transphobia toward trans men, & reflexively choose to defend themselves rather than, like, introspect for one second.
and I dislike calling them all TERFs or Baeddels; the latter especially is the name of a very specific, very small group with a specific ideology (which is only experiencing a fairly niche resurgence right now), and a lot of these folks are just regular people who dig their heels in when faced with the possibility that they might have some non-optimal ideas about trans people. and worse, that they might have made a mistake- especially one that has very likely hurt someone else.
people don't like to think that they have hurt someone. they will try to deny it rather than accept the guilt that comes with acknowledging their mistakes. and when that fact becomes undeniable, a lot of people will choose to believe that the person/people in question deserve it- that they are fundamemtally different and/or worse somehow- in hopes of convincing themselves that they don't need to feel bad for causing harm.
some of these people are probably acting with different, or even just very extreme conclusions of, this same logic. but like. we do need to keep in mind that a lot of it is in the realm of normal human behavior, and that we suffer from the same impulses.
but like, that's why they're so quick to throw all these ideas out as soon as they become inconvenient. it's not a dark master plan, and it's usually not a whole horrible theoretical framework with a cult-like following, either; it's normal guilt avoidance. it's not wanting to examine your biases or have to work on yourself. it's avoiding the possibility that you might be imperfect in one more way. you don't need to fall down the rabbit hole to think that way.
you don't transcend all societal influences the moment you realize you're trans, and you can't transcend them even if you haven't known anything other than life as the target.
but it sure is a lot easier to believe you do. 🤷♂️

AITA for gossiping about a friends relationship?
I know this sounds really bad but I just wanted to share.
I (14F) have been friends with a friend who we'll call Jessica (15F)
Jessica broke up with her now ex boyfriend Carter (15M) sometime in October. He accused her of cheating because of her very close relationship with Jake (14M)
It is very evident that the J's were flirting during the relationship and are still like this. Many friends and classmates have pointed this out and asked if they were dating.
Me, being an awkward teenager in a public school, of course talked to people about this breakup around October and November. To multiple different people who bring it up to me. Of course sometimes I would bring up the drama but I feel thats just the average high school experience.
Then it is revealed that Carter liked another girl, Bridgette (15F) during the relationship. He goes on to ask her out/confess to her sometime in Nov/Dec. This brings everything between Carter and Jessica back up.
People are constantly switching sides about who they believe to be in the right. This is the time where somebody tells me the "rumor" (it was half true) that Bridgette rejected Carter. Now this is half true, she wasn't ready for a relationship.
The way I know all of this? Somebody told me of course. I also found out from the primary sources because these people are in my friend group.
Nobody was that hurt from people talking about it, because thats what people do all the time. I don't feel it was that big of a deal
The other day, Carter started yelling at me out of nowhere over text in a groupchat. He swears at me and gets mad at me from stuff unrelated to this. This stuff was not even something to get mad over and he wasn't even part of it, so I'll spare you the details.
Jessica joins in with Carters rant and starts getting mad at me about starting the rumors about the realtionships which,
I did not start them
There are no rumors, these are facts
Literally other people in the group chat were talking about you
Bridgette, and the 2 others arent defending me but they aren't mad at me.
I could only say I'm sorry because you can't say anything mean and lose your friends.
I believe that
This should have never been brought up because it actually, was not a big deal, seriously, the gossiping ended after 2 weeks each instance
I did not "make jokes" and "spread rumors" to be "popular and funny" like Jessica claimed i did
Carters behavior was uncalled for because he is always trying to get a rise out of people like this. He is constantly trying to bring up everything slightly controversial thing that some one does, and then make them feel like shit about it.
I'd like to note that Jessica like to always "take the moral high ground" she constantly tells people that they are horrible people, hypocrites and pick-me's. She acts like she is better than most people and nobody calls her out for it.
I don't think I was the asshole because everyone was in the wrong
Jessica for cheating and believing she is better than everyone.
Carter for being an asshole to people
And me for gossiping about it
What they have done compared to my actions make me feel like I wasn't the asshole, and gossiping was justified.
So AITA??
What are these acronyms?

Sorry brother (from the series You made me hate my reflection)
Miles was paying for his sins against Pandora and her people. Officially.
"He's going to be fine, kids. Yes, he will because he's a tough kid. – Neteyam kept muttering non-stop, for whatever reason, imitating his father's voice, but it got weird. – Ah yes, how well he turned out, father!!"
Ah, should I be offended? Miles thought absently. I'm definitely better, but nobody accepts that fact. Idiots.
Neteyam moved suddenly, Miles automatically tensed and prepared to defend himself, but the Na'vi boy did nothing but glare at Miles...
No. Not Miles. Spider.
"I wanted to come after you – we all did, I swear. We wanted to rescue you, Spider, I swear."
Oh, for God. Why didn't he just walk away and pretend he didn't see anything? Now he has to deal with a drunk guy spewing excuses for a dead kid. Excellent.
All very well. Just this once. Miles decided.
"Then why didn't you? If you cared, what stopped you?" - There was no judgment or accusation in his tone, just pure questioning. Which caught Neteyam off guard, but it took a few seconds for him to recover and respond.
""Daddy said you'd be fine... you were one of them and you were, you were a child - they would see it - they should see it!" – The sudden anger in his voice, an outrage flared in his yellow eyes. Miles ignored it.
"He is your father, it is natural for you to believe and trust what he says."
"“I shouldn't – Neteyam explodes – I shouldn't – not at that moment, I shouldn't! I should have, I should have...”
"What should you?"
""I should have gone after you. I could have at least tried, dammit! I should have tried, fought harder for you! You, you were my friend, my brother, it was my duty to protect you. I, I... "
“I, I failed you. – regrets Neteyam. “No…not just that night, but before, I left you alone, when we were younger. I walked away and believed you would be fine because your had Loa'k and Kiri. I... I never thought about how you understood my withdrawal or how you felt. I did not do. I'm sorry, Eywa! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Spider... Sorry"
Neteyam starts sobbing and wailing, Miles lets him cry all he wants, thinking how shitty this situation was for both of them. Neteyam shouldn't be apologizing to Miles, but to Spider. Miles shouldn't get that apology, but Spider does. Nothing was right, but it was too late to change things.
When Neteyam finally calmed down and seemed more in control of himself, Miles grabbed his shoulders and looked deep into his eyes.
"I can't forgive you. – His tone was calm, serious. – I'm not him, Neteyam. I can't give you what was his right. And no matter how many times you ask him for forgiveness, you get nothing from a dead man."
Neteyam's eyes widened at his words and when he opened his mouth to probably protest, Miles didn't let him.
"I'm not him. Spider died in that interrogation and I was born in his place. I am Miles Socorro and I have my own experiences, memories, my own life, Netayam. – he let Neteyam process the words for a moment before continuing. – "Besides, you would have been captured and unlike Spider, you was going to die or be used as a bargaining chip. Your family would have tried to save you and possibly die too. In other words, it would have been all for nothing. Chasing ghosts won't make him come back. It's time to move forward and not be left behind."
Tears come out of Neteyam's eyes.
"But I can not. Remembering him is all I can do for him."
""I'm not asking you to forget him, but that you stop chasing his ghost as a form of punishment for not being able to save him. Answer me one thing, would Spider have a grudge against you or another member of your family?"
Neteyam blinked at the sudden question and after thinking it over, replied with a sad smile.
"Spider was never one to hold a grudge. Not for long, anyway. He was such a good kid, too."
And too afraid to be alone. Miles decided not to share the thought, not when Nateyam finally stopped crying. And anyway, he suspected it wasn't necessary.
"Then stop punishing yourself. Spider would get sick of you."
Neteyam laugh.

knife boots — part iii.
xiao x reader, figure skating au
masterlist | previous | next
➥ NEW VOCAB ❝ toe loop ❞ one of the easier jumps, a forward to backwards turn complete with picking your toe into the ice and landing on the same edge.
iii. facebook but for young people
[tw: minor mention of an ed in the middle of this chapter]
"You're so mean."
"I warned you."
"You're an absolutely, positively, awful person."
"Yeah, well, you knew that already."
Xiao had actually agreed to help with your training, much to your surprise, despite being reluctant. Now...you regret ever making such a request. Xiao is the devil reincarnated, and you'll swear by it until the day you die. He's been making you go back and forth around the rink for three whole hours, doing nothing but doubles. DOUBLES. If you didn't seriously need his help, you would've told him to fuck off sometime during the first thirty minutes.
"Your technique is seriously fucked, did you know that?"
Insanity.
"Mhm, the entire non-Snezhnayan skating community loves to remind me," you grin. He's been attempting to correct you on pre-rotation, under-rotation, and over-rotation all throughout the past few hours.
"Seriously, what did they teach you over there?" he says incredulously. He looks like he's on the verge of tearing his hair out. Or eyes. Or both.
"Um, you know, the basics. Jump, rotate, land. Not much else," you reply honestly. You had built your skills up under the idea that landing jumps was always the most important thing. If you could do that, why bother with anything else? Who wouldn’t choose that over falling?
He groans before taking a deep breath, trying desperately to calm himself. He clearly wasn’t amused. "I really don’t know why I ever agreed to help you."
You shrug. "I'm just different."
One excruciating session later, Zhongli stops whatever he's been doing in his office for who knows how long (seriously though, he's been in there all day since you started working with Xiao) and begins your training session.
Saved from the devil at last.
...
"I know I say this a lot, but you actually look like shit right now."
"Xingqiu, I swear to god—"
It's lunchtime, and you're hanging out with Xiangling, Chongyun, and Xingqiu in the kitchens. These three have basically roped you into their group, and this has been your routine for the past few weeks. Not that you mind—Xiangling's cooking is too good to resist.
"...Which god?" Chongyun asks.
"Hm?" You turn to look at him with confusion.
"You know, like there's Morax, Barba—" Xingqiu starts.
You cut him off. "I know who the archons are, thank you very much." Although, that did raise a good question—which nation had your allegiance now?
Xiangling looks at you, unsure, before deciding to go through with her question. "Do you like Liyue better than Snezhnaya?"
You raise an eyebrow at her...because there was no correct answer other than, yes, of fucking course.
"I would choose Liyue over Snezhnaya a million times over," you say with finality, leaving no room for doubt.
Xiangling smiles back. "Aw, well, I'm glad you're here. Ooh—food's ready! Jade parcels for everyone!"
She dishes the food out, and your mouth literally starts watering.
"Xiangling, I love you."
"Hey! You're always annoyed with me, but she cooks some food and all of a sudden you love her?" Xingqiu exclaims.
You laugh. "Xiangling doesn't tell me I suck at skating."
"I would never!" she rushes to defend herself.
Xingqiu accepts defeat, muttering "fair."
"I can't believe you guys have a whole kitchen here, actually. And it's stocked like crazy. And free to use."
"...Did your old rink not have a kitchen?" Chongyun wonders.
"I mean, it was a nice rink, and really big—but no, they would never have a kitchen."
"Y/N, what did you mean by free to use?" Xiangling wonders, still hung up on your words.
"Um...well, we weren't exactly allowed to eat all the time, especially not before competition, so any food at the rink was locked away for the coaches only to access."
You're met with three blank stares.
Then you're tackled by three very big hugs.
"That's awful, Y/N. I don't know what I would do if I wasn't allowed to access food," Xiangling says sympathetically.
These three are way too nice. "You're gonna make me cry, guys."
"Pfft, we love you too. To new beginnings!" Xingqiu pulls out his phone and snaps a selfie of you four.
"Chongyun, give me your phone, I'm gonna post this on your account since you have more followers."
Okay, they're way too nice with the occasional exception for Xingqiu.
...
Childe is bored, plainly put. Bored out of his mind.
Imagine his surprise when he gets a notification that Chongyun, that up-and-coming junior skater (who never, ever, posts, by the way), has posted a picture of himself, another skater from Liyue whose name he can't remember, a girl with dark hair cut in a bob...and you.
Fuck. Fuckity fuck. Fuck me.
When he receives a hastily written email from Dottore, he briefly contemplates jumping out of a window.
He contemplates for too long. Dottore sends him another email, yelling at him through the screen to get to his office.
Well shit.
You’ve done it, darling. Sentenced me to my imminent death.
The walk to Dottore's office is a slow one. Very slow.
Childe takes the stairs instead of the elevator. He also makes sure to take the long route, going down every hallway possible before finally arriving at Dottore's doorstep.
And fuck, he can't even knock on the door before it swings open. Curse Dottore and his stupid technology.
"Childe. Come in."
Someone's in a mood.
"Heyy, Doctor! What can I do for—"
"Explain this." Dottore pulls up a screenshot of Chongyun's post.
"It's an Instagram post. Like, you know, Facebook, but for young—"
"I know what an Instagram post is. What I want to know is why Y/N L/N is in this particular Instagram post. With Chongyun and Xingqiu. In Liyue."
Childe laughs nervously. "Well...sounds like you know as much as I do, Doctor."
Dottore looks at Childe, indignantly. "She was your responsibility. Not only that, she seemed to think of you as a true friend. I'm sure you, of all people, would know why she is in this picture, with the Liyue skaters, at the Liyue rink?"
Childe blinks. Time to play dumb. "....Probably because she's in Liyue?"
That was definitely not the right thing to say, because Dottore seems ready to snap. "Childe. Whether you were friends with this girl or not, she is a traitor now. An enemy. We cannot let her go on like this; one word and she could destroy our reputation. Your loyalties lie with us. So, do tell me. What do you know about her being in Liyue?"
"I don't know."
Childe is a lot of things, but he's no snitch.
Dottore's not dumb enough to believe him, of course, but he sighs.
"If you say so. However, I'm sure you know what will happen if that is proven otherwise."
"I know that, Doctor. But in this case, I genuinely don't. Have a good day."
Y/N, please, please, please keep yourself out of trouble.

hi, you said you mby wanted to get into writing? how about a meet cute situation? where harry is like famous and she doesn’t know but he looks familiar or something like that. if you don’t end up doing it that is also okay :) hope you’re having a good day xx
A/N: AAAH OMG!!! THIS ID MY FIRST REQUEST THANK UUUU XXXXX !!!! i didnt really know how to start this BUT I LOOKED UP SOME PROMPTS and chose this one:
THIS IS LIKE MORE THAN 2 YEARS OLD SO IT WAS WAY WAY BEFORE HARRY WON HIS GRAMMIES OR GAINED THE ALL THE FAME HE HAS NOW LOL (i started writing it right about the time lot first started in the usa i think????)
20: getting paired up at a dance class
You were running late.
So fucking late.
And you knew that Glenne was a perfectionist and she would have your head if you were late again-
But it wasn't your fault. Solely at least.
Everything was going wrong today. From getting your period this morning and staining your favourite sheets to the bus breaking down on the way down here, forcing you to walk the last 3 blocks in the pouring rain.
The universe seemed to hate you today.
Finally, though, you sigh as you push open the heavy door to the dance hall.
"I'm so sorry Glenne, I swear I got ready half an hour early and got on the early bus to come on time and oh my fucking god you won't believe what happened today-"
You are interrupted by a cough. And so you turn around slowly, prepared for the embarrassment you are going to have to endure, only to find that Glenne wasn't alone this time.
No, she was accompanied by Jeff and another man, but you just couldn't place a finger on who he was. You'd definitely seen him before because he looked familiar but-
" 'm Harry" is the first thing he says, before sticking his hand out for a handshake.
You take it, telling him your own name before he's cutting you off again.
"Oh my god your hands are freezing! Here I have an extra sweatshirt somewhere"
And he's running off, to the other side of the room where you find three gym bags placed on the floor. You turn quickly to Glenne, eyes wide and questioning before she mouths, 'Jeff's friend'
You nod in understanding and watch him shuffle through his cream crocheted tote bag, a sparkly 'HS' twinkling in the dance studio's light. A moment later, his hands pop out with a black hoodie, embroidered with 'Treat People With Kindness' that he hands to you hastily, urging you behind the room partition to change.
"This is Y/N?" you hear his voice again, and you are sure you've heard that british accent before, you just can't place your finger on it-
"Why? Interested?" you hear Glenne say in a teasing voice and you can just hear that stupid little smirk of hers-
"Alright enough, I can hear you, it's not like I'm actually in a different room" you say, quickly pulling the sweatshirt over your head but not before you hear some low murmurs. "Now let's get this over with" you sigh, while walking to the group. You turn to Harry, "Cute sweatshirt, thanks". He nods with a smile,
"Actually it's from-"
"Ah, you are all here...finally" the dance instructor comes in the room, and you narrow your eyes at her dig.
"I was like ten minutes late" you try to defend.
"Try 25" Glenne remarks while stretching, and you turn to Jeff who usually supports you, only to find him looking away from you, not wanting to get involved.
"Alright, let's start. Now, you two are the maid of honour and best man I presume?" you and Harry nod. "Now traditionally, you share a dance, usually a waltz once the guests are welcomed to the dance floor. We'll start first with leader's steps and see if that fits you" you both nod again. "Jeff and Glenne, feel free to do the same"
Your eyes fleet over at Harry for a moment, only to find him already looking at you. When you catch him he diverts his eyes quickly and you can't help the chuckle that leaves you.
"Something funny, Y/N?" the dance instructor chastises you, and just like you are a schoolgirl again you answer instinctively,
"No miss", making you and the rest of the group erupt in giggles. Harry is trying to hold it back, but you see the huge smile that takes over his face.
"Now, this dance is easy. It's exactly as it sounds, one leads while the other follows. If you are going for tradition, which I believe you are, it's usually the man that leads so, Harry, Jeff, turn to your partners"
Jeff turns to Glenne while Harry turns to you, putting his right hand out. He wiggles his brows and with a curious smile, you place your hand in his. He softly clutches it, before raising it and placing his other hand on your waist. You hear the dance teacher shuffling to put on the music and turn to Harry with a smile.
"Hey, so I've never waltzed before" you say, pursing your lips in a smile while he looks at you with a smile. "So if I accidentally step on both your feet at the same time, know that I'm sincerely sorry."
"I'll keep that in mind" he replies, giggling as he takes a step back. You follow reluctantly, taking a small step so you don't step on him. He nods, seemingly approving of your move and continues on.
You fall into a steady rhythm, one step forward, two steps right, one step left and one backward. It seems easy, you think to yourself and start making your steps bigger, your movement more confident.
That is of course, until you manage to step on both of his feet at the same time-
"Fuck!" you hear, a scream which breaks the beautiful silence that had encompassed the room, with you holding Harry's gaze, dancing like you had been doing it for years.
Harry runs for the small bench on the side of the room and a string of apologies spew out of your mouth. Jeff and Glenne look over, and you know, Glenne is going to kill you right about now-
"Shit! I'm so sorry Harry, oh fuck! Sorry!" you move over to him, who although clearly hurt, tried his smallest of smiles while reassuring you that it was fine, really, and it didn't actually hurt that much.
"I think that this is enough for today" you hear Glenne say through an annoyed huff, and you know, you know, you'll hear it over the phone tonight. You bite your lip anxiously, sliding next to Harry on the small wooden bench and placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Really, Harry, I'm so so sorry" you keep repeating and a small giggle floats through your ears. You're confused, until you turn to see Harry with a cute bunny smile, his eyes crinkling as he takes your apologies in. You aren't sure if the pain is making him delirious yet it couldn't have possibly hurt that much, right?
"Actually, you know what?" He speaks up, looking at you. You shrug, confused by the sudden shift in his mood. Your eyebrows knit in worry, and you look at him with glossed over eyes, hoping you didn't fuck this up.
"I don't think I can forgive you". Your eyes wide. His smile is infectious as he looks at you, and you allow yourself to calm down, telling yourself that that he's just joking-
"That is, unless you join me for dinner tonight?"

Elskan Mìn - VII
Guys?!!? I actually updated this story again! I'm so pleased! Next part is the last part (and actually the whole reason for me writing this flipping story) so that's exciting!
Anyway thanks for sticking with me and I hope you have enjoyed the story.
You sat in a tent once again, but this one was a lot less comfortable than the ones you had been used to the past few days.
Bucky had saved you from the mob, calmed them down and hauled you away. He said nothing to you, but lead you back to this damp, dank area of the camp. He walked you inside, gave you a hard, searching stare then left without saying a word.
You fell to the floor and sobbed. Your energy entirely drained, your heart breaking as he walked away from you. He was supposed to be different, this was supposed to be a new life. But you had ended up where you always did. Alone and hurt.
Natasha came to see you a few hours later. She pulled you into a tight embrace as you pleaded with her.
"Natasha I swear, I swear on my life I would never betray Bucky. My father...oh if he only understood..."
She hushed you and gripped your shoulders. "I believe you, it's ok. But he's...he's been here before..."
You blinked watery eyes at her, begging for more, anything that might help you. Eventually she sighed.
"Years ago, he had a great love. This girl was sweet, but not that nice sweet like you... It was fake, phony. Anyway, Bucky was head over heels, gave her everything, made all the right promises. He thought he was set, found the girl of his dreams, but then..."
Her face filled with pain as she recalled the story. "Turns out she was a spy. There was a war, it was all in our favour and Bucky was confident we would be victorious. But it turns out she had been sharing our strategies, movements of our fighters and all our weaknesses."
You gasped, imagining the betrayal he must have felt, and how he must be feeling now. "Natasha, what happened?"
"We survived, by the skin of our teeth, but we lost a lot of warriors. Families were ripped apart and it took years to regain the trust of our people. And Bucky...his heart was broken."
A tear slipped down your cheek and you listened. "Oh god. This is a nightmare. He's never going to believe me. My father must have known his history..."
Natasha smiled, "Bucky wasn't planning on marrying for love. But I think you took him by surprise..."
You sat in silence for a moment, the weight of Natasha's words pressing heavily on your heart. "What am I going to do?" You said after a while. Would he believe you? Or would you be joining your father in a similar fate?
🗡️
After Natasha's visit you were determined to save your neck, and if you were lucky, your marriage. You hadn't expected to love Bucky so fast, to completely, but you did. You needed him to protect you, to love you and to build a life with.
Everytime someone came by with food or water you demanded to see him but he never showed. They either looked at you with disappointed scowls or shrugs of indifference.
You decided to go drastic, you refused the food, shouted and yelled when anyone walked by. You wouldn't go quietly into this rejection. You were going to fight.
Finally Steve appeared, looking tired and fed up. As soon as he came he into the tent you demanded to see Bucky and he held up his hand in defeat. "Yes, yes just calm down. He's going to see you in the morning."
"No. I want to see him now. I can't sit here waiting for him to build a whole story about this and not defend myself. I want... I need to see him now. Please Steve..."
He sighed again, but shook his head. "You have to wait, but listen, he told me to move you somewhere better. So take that as a good sign right? Maybe he's not so sure about everything yet..."
You scowled. You felt sorry for Steve but he was standing in the way and there was no way to defeat him.
"Don't look at me like that. It's either wait or... Well that's it. Eat something, get some sleep and tomorrow it won't look so bad."
You wondered if you could tackle this gentle giant in front of you, but after a moment considered not. You nodded and let him take you back to the little tent you had on your first evening.
"See you tomorrow..." He said before leaving you alone to wait for Bucky to call for you.
🗡️
At mid-morning you were led to the square. The site of your marriage, your father's death and betrayal. It was a little overwhelming to say the least. The crowd hushed as you walked by, you scanned for a friendly face, but no one really stood out. You bowed your head, preferring to avoid their disappointment.
Bucky was seated on the platform with Steve and Natasha. You focused solely on Bucky, your eyes desperately trying to meet his.
He silenced the crowd and spoke mostly to them and not to you. "The queen has a chance to defend herself against the allegations, let's hear what she has to say." He finally looked at you, his face was stony, but you could see a flash of pain there too.
You approached the platform, and as strong as you wanted to be your voice wobbled, your chest felt so tight. Would you be able to convince him? Your wrung your hands and struggled to swallow as the crowd waited with bated breath.
"I.... I know what you must think of me. My family, my father. They weren't good people. And how could I be a good person being raised by people like that?"
You inhaled slowly, to steady yourself.
"But I am not, have never been like them. In fact it was something they reminded me of daily. How I was weak and pathetic. How my life was a waste. That I would never be of any value of use."
Bucky's jaw twitched, his eyes slightly narrowed as if it hurt to hear you speak like this. Your tears fell freely down your cheeks but you continued.
"The only time I was considered a part of his plan was this marriage. I didn't want to be married to a man I'd never met. He didn't care what I wanted or needed. He just wanted to make his kingdom stronger."
The crowd murmured in support. They had seen your father's behaviour and seen how nervous you had been on your arrival.
"My father betrayed me as his final act of cruelty. There have too many to name but if it satisfies your anger I can tell you. Beatings, starvation, hours spent in cold empty rooms, foul names and fouler tempers..."
More tuts of dismay and you noted Natasha wipe her cheek subtly, but you pressed on. Desperate to reach Bucky's heart.
"I didn't think this would be a marriage of love. I admit that. Nor did I think that I would meet a man who made me feel safe and loved for the first time in my life... But I did. I love you. And I swear I would never betray you."
You fell to your knees, the exhaustion of your grief washing over you like a tidal wave.
"Why would I ruin my one chance of love and happiness with you, for a father who would happily have seen me dead?"
Bucky rose from his seat and walked to you, dropping to his knees, taking your cold hands in his. His face was stained with pain and sadness.
"Bucky I know you've been hurt. I can't imagine how awful that must have been for you. But don't throw this away, us away, based on the words of a bitter old man..."
His hands left yours to cup your cheeks, his thumbs wiping away tears. You whispered his name and ran your fingers across his beard, wiping away stray tears from his face.
"My queen...hush my darling...I'm sorry...I was a fool...I'm so sorry."
You finally broke down sobbing as he held you tight, the crowd cheering in delight as the two of you shared a kiss before he helped you to your feet.
"Go back to your homes, we depart tomorrow" he turns to you and presses a kiss to your nose, "we are going home."

The Elegant Hannah Hook;
Summary: In a world where Hannah Hook didn't leave the isle until the barrier was brought down in d3, she interrupts a hero council meeting. Trigger Warnings: swearing, vandalism, implied child abuse, implied prejudice/classism, implied death (including child death), improper graveyard behavior, mentioned murder, child endangerment, etc.
Apart of the 'Never-Left-The-Isle Hannah Hook'.
Was co-written with @igetthedisneybox .
------------------------------------------------------------
Ben couldn’t help but smile as he looked at his friends, then outside the window at the Isle, seeing it clearly without the magic barrier.
He felt a peace in his heart that he hadn’t felt in a long time as he squeezed Mal’s hand. “So. To start this meeting, does anyone have any ideas?”
“Well, this isn't my idea but Gil, Hook, and Uma were talking about how to improve life on the isle for the kids who are stuck living there until further notice—” Jay started, leaning back in his chair.
“Maybe we should worry about changing things here first.” Belle interrupted.
Jay resisted the urge to roll his eyes. “What here needs to change so urgently that we can't clean up the isle for the kids who aren't old enough to leave? What here is more important than cleaning up the pollution the barrier collected in the water around it?”
Belle blanched slightly. “Well, I–uh, for the children of Auradon–”
“Have been well cared for unlike the isle kids. Which reminds me, is there some way to make a memorial or a funeral or something for all the kids and people who died on the isle?” Carlos asked. Figuring that if she was gonna interrupt, then he could too.
Mal gave him a confused look. “I thought the BDA had that handled?”
“Mal, some of the BDA didn't even exist during some of the deaths.” Carlos sighed. “And they only documented the cases. They didn't handle any of the funerals if there were any. Most of the people who died were just thrown in the catacombs, given a sailor's funeral, or were tossed into the mass grave at Dragon Hall.”
“Wait, the graveyard at Dragon Hall is a real graveyard? I thought Dr. Facilier said it was fake?” Evie looked as if she had swallowed a lemon.
Most of the heroes in the room looked horrified. “Mass graves?” A few whispered to themselves.
Carlos just raised an eyebrow at Evie. “And you believed him?”
“I–well, yeah! I mean, we played there. Surely he wouldn't want us playing on his son's grave, right?” The bluenette defended.
“It's not like there was much free land for burial, E.” Mal winced.
Ben cleared his throat. “As much as this conversation needs to happen–and it will happen, trust me–we are getting off topic. As of now, we can focus on the Isle children that are still with us and need help now.”
The kids immediately perked up.
“Frollo needs to be dealt with then, before he kills the rest of his children–”
Knock.
Knock.
Knock.
So many of the heroes jumped at once, it looked like a major electric shock just went through them. Florian yelped.
“Is that coming from the window?” Snow White squeaked in surprise.
“Seems it.” Evie nodded, still absorbing the new information she had just been given. All her plans for the meeting suddenly gone from her mind.
Mal wrinkled her nose. “Who in Auradon would try knocking on the window?”
Florian glared pointedly at Eugene and Rapunzel, then Jasmine and Aladdin.
“What?” Aladdin and Eugene both asked.
Florian sighed, then went to open the window. He yelped (again) when he discovered who was on the ledge.
The small girl, who was around thirteen to fifteen with streaks of white and teal in her short brown hair, climbed through the window—panting as she plopped down on the floor. She was dressed in pirate grab and wore red, steampunk like goggled.
“Hiya, Mal.”
“Ugggggggghh! What are you doing here?” Mal face palmed.
“Existing.” The girl said with a straight face before turning to Carlos and Evie with a sheepish look on her face. “Hey…. Your parents are outside… along with Frollo, Gothel, and Gaston… my bad and please help?”
“What?!” Multiple voices sounded out.
“HANNAH ARTEMIS HOOK, WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO?!” Mal stood up, green eyes blazing.
Hannah raised her hands up quickly. “The Gaston twins wanted to move out, obviously Gaston would never let them so they asked me for help…. And I may have went overboard and gave some other peeps the opportunity? Oh by the way Evie, you can find Athena at your dad’s place. Also Carlos your cousins have your cat, don't worry I made sure she was with them before I did anything—”
Then, the girl paused. “Also I think Gothel's lost it because she keeps calling me the weirdest thing—”
“Gothel? Oh hell naw.” Rapunzel pulled a frying pan out of her bag.
Ben was sure he was about to get several gray hairs from this. “I’m sure we can handle this calmly and cordially. Mrs. Fitzherbet, please put down the cookware.”
Meanwhile, Eugene just let out a low whistle. Clearly impressed.
Phoebus looked like he already had a headache, Quasimodo looked wary, and Esmeralda looked ready to commit murder.
Now knowing that he was the only adult in the room, Ben turned towards the girl. “First, who are you? Second, can you maybe give us a better idea of what to expect?”
Mal sighed. “Hate to break it to you, Ben, but Hannah doesn't do anything she's—”
“Captain Hannah Hook of the Stormbringer at your service, your highness.” The brunette cut Mal off, not even bothering to move from her spot on the floor. Still panting and wheezing. “Pleasure to meet you.”
Ben ignored the fact that Wendy Darling raised an eyebrow at the girl’s last name. “The pleasure’s all mine.” He couldn’t help but be amused by her. “So, Captain, do you have any ideas of what to do?”
“None whatsoever. I ran out of ink balloons, glue bombs, and marbles three hours ago and I don't have any weapons on me today except for my slingshot, which snapped two hours in. Things got… really out of hand around the four hour mark.” Well, that explained how out of breath the girl was.
Flynn somehow looked even more impressed than before.
So did Ben. “Do the magic users have their magic back yet?”
“Uh, no I handled that…” Hannah waved her hand, clearly lost in thought. “Two days after the barrier opened.”
“Handled?” Wendy inquired. “What ever do you mean by ‘handled?’”
“Uh, Mrs. Darling, no offense, but I don’t think that matters right now.” Ben rubbed his temples. “What matters is that Hannah made our jobs a heck of a lot easier. Thank you, for that, by the way.”
“No problem.” Hannah choked for a moment, trying to get a hold on your breathing. “Also does Gothel call everyone flower in person or is it just me? I don't think she even calls her own kids flower—”
“The only person she’s ever called ‘flower’ was me.” Rapunzel swung her frying pan in one hand absentmindedly. “Because I was her ‘replacement flower’ of sorts.”
“Ew.” The brunette shuddered. “That’s weird. I knew from her show and her kids that she was nutso but that's waaaaaaay more nutso than I thought!”
Evie noticably paled at that but said nothing: Hoping no one would notice.
“Agreed, kid.” Eugene grumbled.
The kid in question grumbled. “I don't get paid enough for this.”
Jay snorted. “You're the captain of your crew, don't you pay yourself?”
“Nuh uh, man.” Hannah shook her head frantically. “Aaron Bog handles the financials, not me.”
“Do you fools not see?” Leah suddenly jutted in. “This is what happens when we open the barrier. Our children and grandchildren’s lives are at stake, so we can save the spawn of treachery?”
Carlos, Mal, Jay, Evie, and Hannah all stared daggers at her.
“Oh sure, let more isle children who didn't do shit die. Nice. Real heroic. Not.” The pirate captain rolled her eyes, crossing her arms. “Also hope you're happy: tou murdered an innocent tree nymph when you polluted the isle and orphaned her kid. And that's not even including the baby I found on the barrage from here or that little fairy girl who somehow ended up on the isle. Gee, no wonder your granddaughter went villain mode with your attitude and logic. I've seen better parents and grandparents on the isle where all crime is legal.”
Leah was fully shocked into silence. So were all the other heroes, leaving Ben to once again pick up the pieces. But not before firing some shots Leah’s way. “Queen Leah…Hannah’s right. Please be quiet while we handle the matter at hand.”
He ignored Kristoff, who cackled and said “Gottem!”
“Hannah, how exactly did you manage to anger the Isle’s most powerful villains?”
“Uh, well Frollo's pretty easy to anger. You just gotta tape some very detailed magazines on the window of his shop and he'll run after you. I told EQ that I was the reason her magic wasn't working and told her she was gonna die in a retirement home. I dyed Cruella's furs purple. I reminded Gaston that he didn't have only boys and told him a joke about him getting the ‘no-Belle prize’. And I have absolutely zero clue why Gothel's after me because I was supposed to make her lose it tomorrow so Peachy, Mason, and Glenn could get their shit and get out.” Hannah hummed, rolling over so that her face was on the cobblestone floor. Hoping that would help her breathing even out.
Everyone just stared. Ben took a breath, certain that he now had several more gray hairs. “Oooooookay. Um…any idea how to calm them down peacefully?”
Hannah paused, biting her thumb. “Well, you could let them throw their tantrums and get bored. That usually takes six hours to a day, though.”
“That’s…oddly specific. Why?”
“Why what?” The teen tilted her head ever so slightly to hear him.
“The whole ‘six hours to a day’ thing.” Ben waved his hands slightly to indicate.
“Oh that's just the average amount of time it takes them to chill out whenever something sets ‘em off.” She waved the question off. “They aren't very peaceful or reasonable people.”
“Then I say, we fight ‘em off!” Merida slammed her fist on the table, bow raised up high.
Mulan, still sitting down, pointed at her. “What she said.”
“Hold on, Mulan and Merida are here—” Hannah quickly tried to sit up, excited only to get light headed. Causing her arms to give out from under her and leading her to face plant on the ground. Hard.
Everyone winced.
“I’m okay! Only lost a tooth!... And uh, messed up my hearing aid. But I can still kinda hear you!”
After giving one last worried look at Hannah, Ben turned to Merida and Mulan. “Okay, look. I’d rather solve this without getting anyone hurt, but if they don’t want to reason…I suppose we could send the guards to deal with this.”
“And me!” Merida pointed at herself with an arrow, coming dangerously close to stabbing herself in the chest.
“Yes, Merida. And you.” Ben face palmed. “Damn it, Hannah, no offense or anything, but why did you even piss these guys off in the first place?”
“I told you the Gaston twins—”
“The whomst?” Beast interrupted abruptly.
“The Gaston twins, Gaston's oldest sons, asked me for a favor. They wanted to move them and their remaining siblings and cousins out but couldn't with him there for risk of their safety. So they asked me for help—” Hannah quickly zeroed in on the core four “–which absolutely none of you are allowed to tell any of my siblings, ever.”
“There’s more of them?” Beast looked horrified. Ben looked to the heavens, asking Zeus to grant him strength.
“Not. the point. Dad.”
“So anyway, I figured I could kill like, three birds with one stone and informed my crewmates, Athena Grimhilde-Tremaine-Westergaard and Eduardo Frollo, of my plan so they could get their things and so Eduardo could get his older sister out too. Then I figured I could steal the things Cruella was withholding from her sons, their cousins, and the Badun cousins so they would neve have to go back. Played distraction for all of them after I dropped the stuff off and got seen by Gothel, who started calling me her new flower and chasing me because the streaks in my hair glowed or something in the moonlight.” Hannah shrugged. “It seemed like a good idea?”
“And you brought them here?” Fairy Godmother clasped her hands, eye twitching. “Now, was that a good idea, or a bad idea?”
“Considering that I'm fourteen and bleeding out with absolutely no other options at the moment, yes it was a good idea to bring them to the place the wonderful and supposedly kind Fairy Godmother usually is.” The teen glared definitely. “Especially since I'm cleaning up the mess you made when you decided these people were good enough to take care of children.”
Fairy Godmother opened her mouth to retort, but Ben interrupted. “Wait, did you say you’re bleeding out?!”
“Oh yeah. Forgot to mention that, Gaston kinda shot me.”
“WHAT?!”

Ah HELL NO! Love Sea ep 4.
Below are my thoughts. Before, I was ready to defend this show. My mistake. Should have known better from mame. Great acting but what are they working with?
3 episodes were spent on elaborating Mahasamut's responsibilities, duties and his character. 3 episodes were used to showcase the love for the ocean and what efforts he's made to protect and preserve the ocean. 3 EPISODES! 3 USED TO EXPAND ON MAHASAMUT'S CHARACAND SIGNIFICANCE ALL FOR IT TO BE REDUCE TO A HOUSEKEPT PET! I don't even think that love sick pup brought his clothes with him. Did he even tell anyone he was leaving?
Hah!
Only now? 21:15 do they even think of STDs?AAAAAAAAHHHHH! FUCK THIS!
Oh my God, the apartment's view.
I think Tongrak is going to break his heart.
Vie enters. Hm. And girlie still had glitter on her eyelids after having cucumber on them.
I'm starting to not like this. Complete backtrack? Where's that softness? Did Tongrak's character completely regress? Why? WHY?
Yeahp. Don't like it.
I don't like the GL couple either. Vie pissed me off in ep 3 and no, I'm not over it.
Why are underpants on a clothes hanger?
The last suspense at the rando character in the shopping mall was... bland. There was no indication to this build up.
Ep 5 looks like hopefully something.
That cut scene of Tongrak waking up like... oh yeah, he has feelings but he's gonna be an ass about it. WE KNOW THIS! GIVE US AN INDICATION THAT IT WILL GIVE UP CHARACTER GROWTH NOT STAGNATION AND COMPLACENCY!
*le sigh* da mihi patentiem. I was swearing at the in Thai the entire episode. Gonna switch to a Japanese series to give my brain a break.
It's a trash watch now. Can't believe this is a trash watch for me now.
I know certain people ( @absolutebl and @respectthepetty ) will agree with me that this is absolutely pointless now. You were right, I was wrong, lalalalala. Scooch over you two. I brought the popcorn for the rest of stupid dumpster.
Anyway, here's this week's bingo
Compare montage
Mahasamut goes to the city.
#love sea the series#fuck this show#its like everything that was giving me hope mame decided throw it out the window#cheers to chaos#thai bl#nope#mame#my thoughts#want to disagree? go ahead#still gonna watch this#hopefully ep 5 is better

Am I the asshole for killing my best friend?
Hear me out, this isn't rage bait, I promise.
So, like a week ago, me (30M) and like a dozen other people went on a camping trip. We didn't really know each other, but we were pretty sure it'd be fun to have a bit of bonding.
Halfway through the trip there, we get lost in the middle of a forest. As if this isn't bad enough, car dies abruptly. Guy who owns it doesn't know what happened. We have no cell service, no car, nothing.
We were standing there, trying to contact someone for god's sake, when a wild animal - a bear, I think - came running out of the forest and injures this guy, S (29M). Badly. Broken arm, wounds, thank goodness it wasn't rabid or something. I chase it off, but everyone realizes the woods are unsafe. Before long, R (31M) and M (32M) decide to split off from the actual group. S pledges his loyalty to me because R and M weren't here. The rest of us split up, and it's only me and S.
Rest of the day goes by. We set up camp at the top of this big sandy hill. S stole a survivalist guide from M so we know what's safe to eat. Two others, J (27M) and his boyfriend, come and we share the stuff we forage. None of us die, which is good.
Next day, we find out someone's stolen the survivalist guide. We track down R and M, and it turns out they have it. They agree to let is take pictures of the important pages (we have solar chargers) if we agree to help them search for stuff. We agree, but they don't let us take pictures of important stuff - like what berries are safe to eat or not. S has a terrible memory but didn't show anyone else, so now only R and M know what is safe to eat. They tell us they don't trust us, which is weird, but S decides to give them some food in return. We take a few of the nonpoisonous food we saved, and we leave it near their little tent.
Except the next day M comes to tell us: R is gravely wounded and may die from his injuries.
I'm shocked. It turns out that a bear had come, attracted by the berries, and now R is swearing vengeance for our mistake.
Everything is a whirlwind after that. R and three others form an alliance against me and S for killing R, the three people join on M's side, me and S are left with J (22M) and his boyfriend. I swear I didn't mean for the bear to come, but it just did.
And then S breaks his leg after he falls into a ravine, and M decides to repay me what I did to R.
Long story short, everyone... dies. I can't believe it, even as I type it out. Everyone is dead. Everyone. I'm sorry if I sound callous, I get like that when I'm grieving. But M tried to come after me, so I hit him in the stomach and- someone stepped on him, and me and J and S and J's boyfriend were trying to defend ourselves, and- well. Everyone died.
Now's where I might be the AH. It came down to me and S, but I swear I could see the ghosts of everyone dead. Me and S were just on the hill, and S was trying to weasel his way out of it, but then S was on the edge and something hissed in my ear in R's voice to kill him and I just pushed him off right there and then.
It was like I'd gone deaf. Everything was silent. I waited there for five minutes, staring at S's broken body, but he was still very dead.
I decided to do what no one else had done, and I took the food and ran away from everything. Abandoned the car and the tents. I don't care who finds it now, it doesn't matter, they'll find my friends first. I ran for a long time, thank goodness I was a cross country runner in high school, and finally I made it to a really small town with cell service. I'm writing this now as I work up the courage to see if I can't get back to Hermitcraft and tell everyone what happened. I know I can't stay there, but maybe they'll hear me out before killing me too. I'm so sorry, S. I didn't mean to kill you, not really. RIP.
So, now, I ask you all: am I still the asshole?
