Hiiii! I am wondering if the fae in your work have wings? I am assuming not because it wasnt mentioned?I didnā€™t realize the terms fae and fairy are interchangeable until recent and so it got me thinkingā€¦ Unless I might be completely wrong!
But on the topic of wings, how do you picture yj and th to look like? Also, if they do not, did you think of them having wings? Or maybe they appear sometimes? Ahhhh sorry if this is an odd question or Iā€™m completely wrong with the fae/fairie. Iā€™m just so into tsfawc and I love fae aus. I also love hearing from the author the image of the characters they have in their head while writing
A little extra just sharing about my personal life heheā€¦ Convinced my lil friend group to go as fairies this Halloweenā€¦ Theyre all thinking I based myself on winx club but little do they know šŸ¤ Yes Iā€™ll be thinking of yj and th all night at the halloween party
OMG THIS IS SUCH A FUN QUESTION!!
Not all of them, but some def do!! The fae/folk in my world are a bit different from the modern interpretations of ā€˜fairiesā€™! I base most of the faeries that appear in my story off of European folklore, so theyā€™re a bit more grotesque and strange! A lot of my inspiration comes from an author named Brian Froudā€”I own his books ā€˜Faeriesā€™ and ā€˜Good Faeries/Bad Faeriesā€™. You can look up his name and maybe see a bit more of what I had in mind!! There are absolutely more whimsical ones, too, like crystal skin and glittering hair or insect wings on their back. The fae in TSFAWC come in a range of waysā€”as the typical pixies you imagine as ā€˜fairiesā€™, as goblins and other creatures, and the more human appearing ones like Taehyun and Yeonjun!
The ones like Taehyun and Yeonjun can have a variety of features as wellā€”think of anything, like green hair or scales or tails or honestly anything you could think of. But, for those two, Yeonjun has just pointed ears and Taehyun had pointed ears, at some point. I often describe them as beautiful in a way that canā€™t be describedā€”I kinda mean that to MC, they just have this air of grace and beauty to them in her human mind. Thatā€™s just the effect that the fae have. I took a lot of inspiration for the more human characters from Holly Blackā€™s The Cruel Prince! I adore those books! Theyā€™re the biggest reason Iā€™ve fallen in love with faerie stories as well, and I canā€™t quite find another story that gives me a similar world!
Taehyun and Yeonjun donā€™t have wings in my mind, but if youā€™d like to imagine that, youā€™re of course welcome to! I think that would be super whimsical!
ALSO THE DRESSING UP AS FAIRIES LMAOO YESS!! I love WINX but alsoā€¦. dressing up as a faerie and imagining Iā€™m going to Court with TH or YJā€¦ yeah šŸ¤¤
I was thinking of making a pinterest board for you guys to help with visuals and just to see how I envision the world. Would you guys be interested????
Here are some of the extra concepts banners I made for TSFAWC, if that helps you envision some of the little critters I have running around throughout the series! LOL!

Season 9 leaks!
The story is that somebody hacked Rainbow and grabbed all the good stuff! Could they really have done that? Just remember this is the Winx fandom where faking leaks is a national pastime so these pictures could be real, fake, or a mixture of the two. I donā€™t vet anything becauseā€¦ uh, how could I? Iā€™m just a random person on the internet. And also, real leaks and fake leaks are equally fun to speculate about and having fun speculating is what weā€™re here for!
Tumblr media
Ok I kinda love this? Aishaā€™s hair! Stellaā€™s sun-ray wings! Tecnaā€™s circuitry wings! Tecna still being ball jointed! Floraā€™s kinda weird flower top! The only odd point is that Bloomā€™s costume is just basically Sirenix slightly modified. Why Sirenix?
This would be the third version of the costumes that weā€™ve seen for season 9, and if itā€™s real they drifted away from the simple redesigns of the original magic winx form into something more detailed and cooler. I wouldnā€™t be surprised if this was real; the previous images we had just looked too simple after so many years of increasingly complicated outfits. This looks real but as you can see on top it's from Winxclubrus, a site that has the same attitude as I do when it comes to sharing All The Leaks.
Tumblr media
Aisha looking the appropriate color again!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here we have some CG turnarounds that look like CG turnarounds. Stellaā€™s outfit is cute, Icyā€™s had an upgrade and lost the capital I on her clothes and the Trix have a symbol now. It looks like a capital T with some lines underneath, it reminds me of the ā€œchi rhoā€ a Christian symbol that was used in ancient Rome that looks like a capital P with an x across the bottom.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And here are two new characters and these pictures are more questionable. Fan consensus seems to be that the girl is from another series and was accidentally in the Winx Club folder that the supposed hacker supposedly hacked. The boy is in a different style than the girls and thereā€™s not much on his character sheet so I think heā€™s either someoneā€™s fan character or maybeā€¦ you know how Orion was copied off a video game character? This image of the guy may be a character from something else that Rainbow is planning to base a character design on.
But! There was a very low resolution image of the Winx and Trix battling and it looked like there was a boy fighting on the evil side. It could have been Riven, it could have been one of the Wizards of the Black Circle, since one of them appeared in a different season 9 imageā€¦ or it could be this guy. Damien is an evil name thanks to the Omen movies so that tracks.
So who knows! Weā€™ll just have to wait and see if either of these characters is real.
And last we have a video! This, I think is real. Itā€™d be easy enough for a fan to make some turnarounds in blender but this video would be a lot of work.
And it looks good. My brain immediately said ā€œit looks goodā€ but my brain also said, ā€˜It looks like everything else.ā€ and Iā€™m not even sure what ā€œeverything elseā€ my brain is thinking about. Unicorn Academy? Miraculous? It looks like things! But it shows a lot of emotion, which the season 8 was bad at so we are improving already!

My rendition of season 1 Bloom from Winx Club. I had a lot of fun with this even though I had some obvious trouble with some anatomy bits and the shoes. I adore the original Winx transformations along with their original styles because you get the sense that each of the girls have their own vibes and styles that we lose later in the series. Seriously, while I get that the transformations were meant to slay, I still wish that they still retained their a semblance of their individuality amongst he group later on.
I like to look at each of the planet of as a certain aesthetic, a lot of these are based on my own vibes that I got off the show and how I feel like they would fit in the the main six characters. Iā€™ll be also using some punk genres that i think would suit each of these worlds.
Heres the link explaining each of them and what punk is in general - https://sorcereroftea.com/punkpunk-a-to-z-of-punk-genres/
Obviously, Winx Club world / Magix Dimension as a whole is very Aetherpunk/magic punk. With a magical - futuristic setting, itā€™s pretty much what the original show and the reboot would likely be going for. But it varies depending on which planet, with Zenith being the most tech based and Lynphea being the most magic/plant based. Magix sits comfortably in the middle, largely looking the most normal to Bloom, but still noticeably advanced and otherworldly.
With that, I feel like Domino wouldā€™ve had a medieval fantasy aesthetic, something youā€™d expect from Merlin or DnD. Fire-breathing, knights and other what not thatā€™s included in it except with modern technology.
I included bits of Bloomā€™s original design, such as the colour pallet and the love heart motif, but added armour and dragon scales. I wanted her outfit to be recognisable but practical; with how short-tempered Bloom can get, she does not get too hurt when fighting against someone. The little crown is also included, mainly to disguise itself as a crown by being a decorative scrunching for her hair. I added the red fabric around her waist to add something in place of the crop top and as a nod to the cape that Bloomā€™s bio dad Oritel wore back when he was still in the company of light. Also, I made the wings look like a dragon becauseā€¦dragon flame. If she didnā€™t have that, then she would have a more flame-like design.
Edit cause the original was bad quality. Also I will do the rest of the girls as well as the boys while putting in my own lore bits of the series.

Prince Nabu of the Andros Sea
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, I'm redoing Nabu from Winx Club in my version. Now, first of all, he is still a sorcerer with a magic staff that he can carry around as a ring. With it, he can give himself legs and a sorcerer form, so long as he has his ring/staff. First of all, I got this idea from a friend on the Union of War Discord server, Tea, also known as @officialfanbug. We were all discussing the royalty of Winx Club (Particularly why Diaspro is also a princess of Eraklyon) and I questioned if Nabu was a prince or just a nobleman. Tea said that they could've made him a merman prince and the brother of the mermaid princess Tressa. To avoid it coming off as incest, she wouldn't be calling Tressa her cousin (Or Tressa's parents her aunt and uncle), which won't mean much because they aren't blood-related. This works better with my version of season 3 (It's not the Valtor story arc), which is water-themed and involves Andros so if Nabu is a merman prince, it would make him showing up in the season more organic than if he was just some prince from Whisperia. He still has the power of healing and illusions. Plus, I just HAD to do something that involved Nabu with his hair loose because it looks GORGEOUS! For his wings/fins, I used a combination of Musa and Aisha's Mythix wings. I hope you guys like it and let me know what you think. Enjoy.

Late AF Opinion on Fate: The Winx Saga
No one asked for it, but I'm gonna write my opinion on Fate here too before the second season is released (if you're curious about my reactions to specific scenes, please feel free to visit my highlight 'fate comments' on IG, but I'll be basing this post on what I wrote back then).
Let's start with my initial impression, which iirc was in December 2020 when I saw the trailer and pictures for the first time. To put it shortly, I didn't like it at all (here I need to mention that I'm not a fan of live action adaptations in general so I may have been biased from the very beginning that it's not something I will like anyway). I wasn't surprised by the fact that this version was going to be once again focused very much on Bloom, but was still disappointed they didn't decide to try and divide the focus on the characters more evenly, so that it could feel more like six different arcs with comparable screentime which would be more fitting for a series titled "Winx Club" after all. But well, that's just my wishful thinking. Regarding the casting, while I considered Bloom, Stella, and Aisha to be quite spot on, I was quite astonished when I saw the actresses who were going to take on roles of Musa and Flora (at first I thought she was really supposed to be Flora), and that there would be no Tecna, but I guess everyone had a similar reaction. Back then it did not look that convincing to me, so I didn't feel encouraged to watch it when it was released. I observed the fandom's reaction to it, and saw how polarized the opinions were. Some people loved it, others hated it, and there was a third group which claimed that it's okay as long as you don't consider it an adaptation of Winx Club but a separate story. After several months, I gave in and decided to give it a try, all the more because it's just a few episodes so I managed to finish it all during one weekend.
Before I dive into my impressions, I need to stress something first. When I posted some criticism regarding specific scenes on my IG stories, one person pointed out that it's funny that I criticize, and yet I keep watching the show. I don't understand the reasoning behind it; if I stopped watching the show because I didn't like it, there would be people understandably complaining that I shouldn't even say anything when I didn't see all the episodes. Personally, I think it's better to watch until the end to understand the whole picture and provide a better grounded opinion, unless the show would be something absolutely unbearable to watch for some reason.
In general, I would consider the show to be... nothing special, and personally I felt it missed the point when it comes to main aesthetic/theme of the original franchise. When I think about the original Winx Club, what comes right into my mind are the following: vibrant colors, glitter, 2YK fashion, wings of all shapes possible, and fantasy mixed with a sci-fi, highly modern world. The last one is especially fascinating and pretty unique, which makes this show stand out, however, I can imagine that you would need a pretty huge budget to pull it off in a live action in a way which could enchant people. But what is great, the colorful aesthetic didn't stop anyone from implementing mature, adult themes.
In order to make this post concise, I will simply list the things which bug me about this show:
American (Bloom) vs British (all the others iirc) trope
the show's aesthetic seems to be leaning more towards dark academia than Y2K but it's quite poorly executed (fashion choices are disappointing, to say the least), and Alfea is changed into a generic school castle with dull colors and only three teachers
numerous awkward dialogues
Terra being the laughing stock because of her body type (if the show aims to be body-neutral/positive, then discrimination and hate which "plus size" people are forced to deal in real life shouldn't permeate into fictional universe as well, but that's just me)
fairies lost wings a long time ago (this moment had me like "seriously?"), and Bloom, as the protagonist, is ofc the first one since ages to activate the transformation which... didn't transform her; instead, her fire power manifested as flames on her back, vaguely resembling wings which didn't even enable flying - this also misses the point of the original show which has always been immensely focused on wings and flying throughout all the seasons
majority of characters were changed DRASTICALLY (I mean especially their personalities, for me most of them are totally different characters), picking bad traits and overblowing them
Burned Ones as a serious threat didn't convince me because girls, despite being beginners, were able to defeat them two or three times
several anticlimactic scenes
not sure how to feel about the only reportedly queer characters being villains
show is again focused mainly on Bloom and Sky
the word Winx is used just as a name of the girls' suite for some unknown reason... and ofc in the series' title.
With that being said, I can't consider it a good adaptation. I know that an adaptation has all the right to be different from the original, and it actually should be different, but in case of Winx Club and Fate, the drastic changes concerned aspects crucial to the original show which irreversibly colored my impression of the adaptation. I'm writing this because I have encountered many well-written analyses, fan-reboots, redesigns, and headcanons revolving around Winx Club, which were all made by the fandom's members and some of them put the bar pretty high. So, I guess I'd rather refer to Fate as an AU very loosely based on Winx Club.
When it comes to the upcoming second season, you can imagine I'm not hyped at all. I see they added Flora (which makes me wonder if it was sparked by the backlash from fans?), and I think I will watch the second season to see how they decided to write her, out of curiosity, without any expectations or hopes. In the trailer she seems to be saying "Losing control is the best part" which doesn't really sound like something the original Flora would say, so she's probably rendered very differently as well.
Anyway, that would be it. Let me know your thoughts if you have any at this point.
Just a disclaimer: I don't want to denounce any Fate fans, I know many people enjoyed the show and are excited for the new season. I'm just not one of them, I have listed my main reasons above, and as I say, we all have our preferences and expectations so it's probably impossible to create something which could please the whole fandom.

Hhhhhhhhhhhhhh ok so this fucking. Winx club reboot.
First, the fucking obvious: making Musa (previously East Asian, and based on Lucy Lui) white is unacceptable. Replacing Flora (originally ambiguously brown, and based on Jennifer Lopez, and whitewashed in several of the subsequent cartoon series) with some white character with the same powers is unacceptable. Casting a dark skinned actress for Aisha does not make up for the fact that a cast that was previously 3/5 characters of colour now only has one.
Why tf have they dropped Techna? I mean, I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say it's because of this "take control of your element" thing from the teaser, but like. That's stupid. And they kept Musa who has music powers so???
I expect Techna's removal has something to do with a problem I have with the setting. Namely that it's boring. The cartoon had a really fun and vibrant setting, this semi-futuristic world with fairies and space royalty and all sorts of magical creatures on the other side of a portal or two. Part of the point for Bloom's story was that it was this magical world that was very much separate from her normal world that she had to actively choose to enter and help the people there and subsequently struggled with being away from her family and the world she knew. Having the fairy world be just. There in some woods fucking sucks.
Also the aesthetic is way off. If they wanted realism, they shouldn't have adapted winx club. The clothing is terrible, the locations are drab, and I don't understand why half of them were using their powers at like....a well in the woods? I feel like winx club has one of the more reasonable explanations for the magical girl transformation- the girls can use their powers outside of it, but the transformation is them getting in touch with their powers to give them better control and have the powers come easier. I feel like any adaptation of winx club should have some sort of transformation, even if they just like. Get wings and glowy eyes and some patterns on their face or something to show that that's what they're doing. If you aren't willing to look a little ridiculous, then why the fuck did you pick winx club?
Look if they wanted to make winx club edgy then it should have been cyber/solarpunk.

Some Winx club questions
Favorite and least favorite character?
Favorite and least favorite ship?
Favorite and least favorite season?
For favorite character: In terms of the main winx, probably Aisha, since Aisha was just such a well written character in S2 and S3 and the fact that she was the first to earn Enchantix was soo good, let alone her character just managing to survive a-lot of the bad writing throughout the later seasons, but she deserved so much better then losing Nabu like that in S4 and then being sidelined in a season that was literally dedicated to not only her kingdom in some sense but also her territory, aka water. And in terms of specialists....uhhh....I guess between Helia and Nabu? Like, we love an art character when it comes to Helia, but oh god that haircut in S4....and even though we didn't have him for long, Nabu was a pretty good character....after you know, the stalking and lying thing, anyway. But he deserved so much better really then what S4 did. And in terms of side characters: Roxy. No contest. Again, REALLY wish she wasn't sidelined after S4 until S7 when she was allowed to help for that season, but I love her character anyway. Least favorite character: I guess this is a mixture of Bloom in the later seasons and Riven and Tritannus? Like, I mostly dislike Bloom in later seasons because of how she takes over a-lot in the end, including plots and plot points that really don't call for it but ignoring that, she is enjoyable as a character, especially when acting as Roxy's mentor in S4. Riven....yeah, obvious why he's here....kinda just kept reversing development to go back to being a douchebag to Musa, making it almost a relief when they broke up. And Tritannus was just...he had potential....but then the season kinda made him annoying in areas and such. Cool design though.
Favorite ship: I guess between Nabu/Aisha and Helia/Flora? Helia and Flora are just adorable really, especially with how Flora got her crush and eventually confessed it to Helia and Helia basically doing art for her a-lot when it comes to their relationship....and they also kinda the least drama filled ship. Like, only time they tried was in season 5, but thankfully didn't last long. And Nabu and Aisha at least were pretty well written for as long as we had them...before you know, S4 decided can't have them and killed Nabu off. Least favorite ship: Musa/Riven, given how toxic they were in the end really. It really was a smart move to break them up in the end, but I hear season eight brought them back together so uhh...hard to tell if they improved there really.....
Favorite season: Probably a tie between Season 3 and Season 4, just because in some sense, we got to see the Winx finally get to what was said to be at the time, the highest transformation, aka Enchantix, while also developing the Winx in new various ways and actually being pretty dark in areas??? Like Tecna straight up is believed to be dead briefly??? Aisha goes briefly blind?? Stella also almost dies??? Like holy shit, the stakes were soo good, and Valtor was such a good villain that I will pretend season eight didn't drag out to ruin, okay- And season 4 while I do have problems looking back, like the retcon to now have more powerful forms then Enchantix and Nabu's death, was such a good way to now show the Winx going into young adult hood as they try to find and protect the last Earth fairy, aka Roxy, who for some reason, people thought was whiny??? But like, when your attacked and almost kidnapped constantly as your first exposure to magic, you kinda will react in your own way. Plus as stupidly large the wings are, Believix's designs were pretty cool and made sense when you realized they look earth based cause well, Earth. And the wizards of the black circle were at least good villains sometimes....had their weak points sometimes, but the concept of them having hunted down the various earth fairies is such a dark concept and it was cool to see it be explored. Least favorite season: Season Six. I would have said season seven but....I haven't seen it so like??? But yeah, season six was definitely a sign of them throwing the writing into the blender fully. Remember how Roxy was the last earth fairy? LOOKS LIKE THEY MISSED ONE, aka Selina, who....could have been a interesting villain and explored the whole Bloom has a habit of overshadowing sometimes and such, but no...she just....is badly written as a villain and the closest funny thing is her making the Trix think they in charge, only to eventually betray them when done with them....but of course, she eventually turns good and....becomes a fairy again, adding to this shows weird implications constantly with all witches being evil. And oh my god: Bloomix....design wise? Its aesthetically good. I like the idea of warrior designs since it comes from the power of the dragon flame. But the name....I hate it. Just, why the fuck Bloomix??? Its already bad enough this season was Bloom centric. And just why the heck did they earn Bloomix like THAT? Only Bloom's was really cool- the others were almost all lazy and random or in Flora's case, just saving her sister all over again....cause lazy. And Mythix....bland. For something meant to be myth based, its very bland, and I will never not be bitter Eldora took the last wand and did fuck all with it when other characters like Daphne or Roxy could have taken it and done more with it. And Amphibia filler may be bad, but ohhhh boy, did they outdo themselves with filler in season 6. Because why not add filler? Not like we got someone able to summon various fairy tale monsters on the loose! And I just, why the fuck did Daphne and Thoren need to marry at the end of this season??? They planned to marry WHILE villains were on the loose, which great job there, and their relationship was so rushed but ironically is among the tame ships of the franchise.

Thoughts on ā€œFate: The Winx Club Sagaā€
My last Winx related post got good feedback :)!! and i swear iā€™ll post more on other stuff but there are just some things i wanna get off my chest. this is also lengthy.. oops
also gifs arenā€™t mine!!!
letā€™s start off with characters
MUSA
Tumblr media
Netflix, do yā€™all just hate Musa... Her powers are so downplayed. itā€™s utterly disappointing.
I understand that Musa is the emotional girl out of all of them but they took that and ran with it. Iā€™m just not a big fan of the whole mind fairy thing because every fairy can connect to things thatā€™s based on what kind of fairy they are.
she can do SO MUCH MORE. She can literally control sound waves.. She is Vanya Hargreeves in fairy form yet all she does now is feel others emotions.. cool.
Fairies (regardless of specialties) can also read auraā€™s and some can connect with their given specialities (Flora w plants) so a mind fairy serves no helpful purpose compared to the others?
STELLA
Tumblr media
The reason Stella was popular was because despite being a spoiled princess, she was still the nicest and most welcoming person ever. She never used it against people. ( I mean the Solarians were literally so confused when they were reporting how Stella was evil during Valtorā€™s reign)
It felt more like Diaspro with Stella trendencies.
Stella was literally the one who convinced Bloom to go to Alfea and was so patient with her. She even had Bloom fake being her friend in the original just so she could attend alfea but this stella willingly put her life in danger.. FOR A BOY???
Yes Stella was a bit boy crazy but she wasnā€™t really serious with any of them except for Brandon so she would not have tried to kill Bloom for Sky. Who wrote that and for what??
That is not Queen Luna, thatā€™s countess Cassandra 2 seasons early.
Why did they have to give her mom issues like Bloom? Her mom was her emotional support from the little bits we saw her? Her parents not giving her attention on top of upcoming issues with her dad wouldā€™ve been interesting enough.
Also the whole ring thing was a major thing and they just touched on it then never again, just donā€™t mention it then..?
A bit morbid but i think the whole blinding her best friend plot has potential.. hear me out... for her enchantix, especially when she can use the dust. But netflix if you include enchantix, please do not butcher it.. please.
She had such a sunny disposition and it was only ever her teasing that upset the girls at times but she was mostly at the core of each other their problems. She may look exactly how i pictured stella but she is the farthest thing from.
also stella getting her strength from anger? who is this?
AISHA
Tumblr media
Please tell me how Aisha would be the teacherā€™s pet-
Sheā€™s the one who literally ran away from a marriage and was breaking all these princess streotypes- Sheā€™s very strong willed and would not have kissed ass to authority figures (except for mermaid guards of course)
AISHA WOULD NOT HAVE SNITCHED AND THAT GOES FOR ALL OF THEM I DO NOT CARE
her outfits werenā€™t bad though, i think she was the best dressed next to Beatrix.
TERRA
Tumblr media
Why were they so rude to her-
I still wish she was a WOC because then her brother and dad wouldā€™ve been too so just a chance for more representation then netflix just turned a blind eye to
Where did her storyline go- We saw her being insecure in the first two(?) episodes and Musa saying Stella is everything she wants to be and then Riven and Dane just make fun of her for the rest of the episodes then Stella tries to compliment her? I feel like there was so much material to work with and make into a powerful arc or moment but they just swept it under the rug and pulled off something quick.
I like her character though, sheā€™s a huge softie and a lot like her cousin, letā€™s not hate on her oo much cause Flora would not have condone it
BLOOM
Tumblr media
Why is this Bloom so angsty
Actually OG Bloom was too but i feel like they tried making her so seem ā€œmysteriousā€ and if youā€™re mysterious, apparently you canā€™t be nicer?
I wish we saw her more vulnerable cause i liked that Bloom was such a badass but always cried HAHAH you know what i mean?
WHY WAS SHE DRESSED IN HER REGULAR CLOTHES WHEN HER WINGS APPEARED PLEASE AT LEAST GIVE HER SMT A BIT MORE FITTING FOR THE LITERAL ā€œANCIENTā€ TRANSFORMATION-
Disrespect Vanessa- No.
Okay i think thereā€™s potential in the changeling thing but i think Mike originally finding her in a burning house and saving her is so heartwarming :((
this is related to bloom so iā€™ll keep it here... WHERE IS DAPHNE!!!
not gonna lie tho, the actress is exactly how i imagined bloom irl
bloomerang... iā€™ll leave this here.
OTHER CHARACTERS // MISC.
Rosalind and Dowling were two evil and eviler versions of Faragonda. Not even they were just split Albus Dumbledores and one is enough for all universes.
Beatrix is woke ig..? I like her style tho and the actress is pretty good. Also like how by the finale itā€™s kind of known that sheā€™s a witch and not a fairy so ancestral witches storyline? Iā€™m also not mad they made her one character, it fit better for the story they were going for.
BRING BACK CLOUD TOWER!! NOT ALL WITCHES ARE BITCHES (mainly mirta)
I know Riven is an ass but it was d r a g g e d. Like letā€™s lead this guy on! Oh and do drugs on campus! Iā€™m 16 btw but letā€™s get drunk every other scene! Not to shame though.
I just donā€™t like Sam, he was boring to me and contributed nothing. sorry
Dane had potential to be a great self discovery story but no letā€™s make him fat shame Terra because thatā€™ll be cute! no.
Itā€™s just weird to think that Skyā€™s father abandoned him to raise a completely different child.. I donā€™t- yeah..
Kiko is- oh wait he wasnā€™t there.
Why are they on instagram? If anything, they wouldā€™ve probably had something wayyy more advanced.
Adding more fire fairies just lessened the stakes of Bloomā€™s whole reasoning for trying to master the powers of the dragon flame because she was the only one left so she had no choice but Fate makes it easier to argue that she was just being selfish when in WC, it had to be done.
I do like male fairies and female specialist, power! but i wish they kept the schools separate.
I know everyone says this but.. their outfits couldā€™ve given us another Euphoria like moment and they wasted that opportunity. I mean seriously, you put Bloom in Brandy Melville?
SHIPS
I wish SkyxBloom was more slow burn and had more build up. It was reasonable but idk the pace still seemed a bit fast.
There should be no world where SkyxBloomxStella would exist. Not in this or any other worlds.
MusaxSam was just boring.
TerraxDane just no.
wheres nabu for aisha? actually, respectfully do not let the same people cast Nabu and Helia because i just donā€™t trust yā€™all-
RivenxBeatrix, eh follows the og plot but i wasnā€™t really a fan of it back then too.
RivenxDane, seems queerbaity? maybe it was intentionally set up that way for development but it rubs me off wrong.

I never watched Winx as a kid, so I really hope I don't sound like an idiot for asking this. What exactly does the Netflix Winx series do wrong besides giving it the "dark and gritty" makeover?
So like. There are a lot of problems here and Iā€™ll try to tackle them. I havenā€™t finished the reboot because I have difficulty getting through things I like, much less things I hate watch. But anyway, this gets long and is separated into parts.Ā
Letā€™s start with itā€™s issues on itā€™s own and not as an adaptation:Ā
Itā€™s still pretty garbage. NotĀ ā€˜the worst thing everā€™. Interesting enough. But it does have problems. Some racist and homophobic and fatphobic writing. The characters range fromĀ ā€˜kind of a jerkā€™ toĀ ā€˜straight up assholes who will cause physical harm for petty reasonsā€™. The nicest one so far is Terra, but even she kinda snaps and strangles a guy with her plant powers.Ā
Now on to things it fails on as an adaptation!
First, the whitewashing!
Of the six main characters, 3/6 were poc-coded in the original cartoon(I say ā€˜codedā€™ because theyā€™re not Humans from Earth but still). Aisha is black, Flora is Latina, and Musa is Chinese.Ā
Aisha is the only one who remains black. Iā€™ve heard varying testimonies on Musaā€™s actor, but theĀ ā€˜bestā€™ Iā€™ve heard is that sheā€™s 1/4 Singaporean and white passing. I donā€™t have the authority to say if thatā€™s in the clear or not so Iā€™m leaving that to other fans.Ā
Flora gets the worst though. They cast a white woman to play her. Then backtracked and saidĀ ā€˜oh, this isnā€™t Flora. We replaced her with her white cousin Terraā€™. Yeah you can see the problem there.Ā
Characters they got rid of entirely! Iā€™ll only discuss characters that showed up in the first two seasons of the original show since Fate only has one season. (Iā€™d say just the first, but they included Aisha who is from Season 2).Ā
Letā€™s see. They got rid of Tecna, one of the main six girls. Itā€™s likely because theyā€™re going for a moreĀ ā€˜bootleg Hogwartsā€™ vibe, and Tecnaā€™s magic being heavily technology based ruins that. So sheā€™s just tossed altogether.Ā
The boys! Oh my god my boys! Sky and Riven are the only ones who were kept in, while Brandon, Timmy and Helia got scrapped and replaced as well. The other boys like Dane and Sam? Totally couldā€™ve just given them those names and been done with it.Ā
Then thereā€™s Icy, Darcy and Stormy! Iā€™m counting them together because thatā€™s exactly what Fate did! The three Witches are villains in the series, and instead of keeping a trio, they combined her into a single character. Beatrix.Ā
I think Silva was also an amalgamation of the remaining Headmaster/Headmistresses and a few other staff members but considering they condensed it to just one school it kind of makes sense.Ā
Sometimes thereā€™s just a name change like the Headmistress of Alfea was changed to Farah Dowling instead of Faragonda which is so pointless.Ā
Overall thereā€™s other minor characters that donā€™t show up, like the rest of the school staff, Mirta and Lucy, so on and so forth. But Iā€™m less upset about that. Still upset though because I love them.Ā
Personality changes! And romance drama!
Oh boy. Oh boy oh boy oh boy.Ā
I already mentioned how they made everyone an asshole in this reboot. In the original show, the only protagonist that was consistently a jerk was Riven, but he was more of theĀ ā€˜grumpy but still a good guyā€™ type of asshole.Ā
Letā€™s compare just one character and her relationships to others!
Stella in the Original Cartoon: Preppy and sometimes a little vain, could be blunt to the point of insulting, but never malicious. Very sweet and loves her friends. She and Bloom are best friends, Stella having been the one to bring Bloom into the world of Magix and will do everything she can to make sure sheā€™s safe. Stellaā€™s love interest is Brandon, who is bffs with Bloomā€™s love interest Sky. Stella and Brandon are very cheesy and cute together. They arenā€™t usually jealous, and can even make a competition out ofĀ ā€˜how many phone numbers can I get?ā€™.Ā
Stella in Fate: Total bitch to all her roommates. Sheā€™s getting the commonĀ ā€˜my momā€™s a bitch who puts pressure on me so Iā€™m going to be a bitchā€™ thing thatā€™s become popular now. Since Brandon was deleted, they put her in a love triangle with Bloom and Sky, Sky being Stellaā€™s ex bf. And despite breaking up with him, Stella sees him just talking to Bloom and decidesĀ ā€˜Hm. Letā€™s prey on her insecurities that she doesnā€™t belong here, and manipulate her into leaving!ā€™ Which includes walking through a forest where there was recently a man attacked and viscously killed by some kind of monster, so Iā€™m putting it up to attempted murder.Ā
Yeah. Everyoneā€™s kind of like that. Itā€™s awful.Ā
Bloomā€™s backstory and parents!
Okay, this can kind of fall under bothĀ ā€˜personality changesā€™ andĀ ā€˜plot changesā€™ but it deserves itā€™s own section.Ā
In the Original Cartoon, Bloomā€™s home kingdom was attacked and destroyed by villains searching for something called the Dragon Flame. Bloom was a baby with said power, so her older sister sent her to Earth, a world without Magic, where she would be safe and hidden. Mike and Vanessa find her and adopt her, loving her and raising her very well. They are good parents. Bloom learns she has powers when she meets Stella, and instinctively uses Magic to protect her.Ā
In Fate, the only thing really the same is that Bloom was sent to Earth. Iā€™m a little unclear on why, but instead of giving her loving adoptive parents, they made her a Changeling with emotionally abusive parents! Let me elaborate a little: Instead of adopting Bloom of their own free will, Mike and Vanessaā€™s real child died in the hospital and was secretly replaced with Bloom. Her parents are also, as mentioned, emotionally abusive. So much so that Fate!Bloomā€™s powers first manifested byĀ setting them on fire in the middle of the night.
Fun. Ainā€™t it?Ā
Now onto plot points!
Again, pretty much the only thing the same isĀ ā€˜Bloom discovers she has Magic, goes to another Dimension to learn at a school called Alfea. Gets into adventures with her Roomates while trying to figure out where sheā€™s really fromā€™.Ā
The wholeĀ ā€˜Burned onesā€™ were.... not a thing at all. There wasnā€™t any kind ofĀ ā€˜barrierā€™ to keep outĀ ā€˜dangerous creaturesā€™ or anything.Ā
Iā€™m not going to go over every single subplot but that was just. No. They were easily allowed to go outside the school.Ā
The whole vibe
This is a big thing to talk about. While the reboot went forĀ ā€˜dark and grittyā€™ over the bright colors and sparkles, it also went forĀ ā€˜bootleg Hogwartsā€™ instead of anything interesting.Ā
In the reboot, the merging of Magic and Technloogy is mostly like.Ā ā€˜Yeah we go to school in this old ass castle and we donā€™t use guns in weaponry class, but we have smartphones and social media and Harry Potter!ā€.Ā
In the Original??? The whole world was very Magitech. It was a combination of Magic and Scifi! Kinda Steven Universe style actually.Ā
The transformations!!!
Look. LOOK. Winx Club is a Magical Girl show! They have those beautiful transformation sequences that last a solid minute or so of screen time. And they also have like. At least one new Transformation a Season, which comes with an ungodly amount of different cool outfits.Ā
The reboot? One transformation sequence. And while the effects are nice, Bloom doesnā€™t even get a new outfit. Just a few flames coming off her that look vaguely like wings.Ā
SPEAKING OF! They are Faeries!!!! But they donā€™t have wings????? What????
Look idgaf about your effects budget you couldā€™ve made the cheesiest shit like the live action Sailor Moon stuff and fans wouldā€™ve loved it!
Bonus: The fact that they didnā€™t have to change anything to make itĀ ā€˜Darkā€™!
So like. Netflix decided to take all the color out of it, and make itĀ ā€˜darkā€™ by having the characters smoke and drink and have sex and say swears.Ā
But they.... really didnā€™t have to! The original cartoon was plenty dark, despite itā€™s colorful aesthetic! If you wanted to do a more serious reboot, you could have easily done it by focusing more on those aspects.Ā
Hell, there are many fans who have done it. Iā€™m one. I know a couple others as well.Ā
anyway itā€™s 2:30 am and this is long af so Iā€™ll leave it at that.Ā

Fuck netflix for taking someone so engained in many of our childhood and fucking it up so badly. There is so much wrong with the Winx Club adaptation, i donā€™t known where to begin.
The casting is terrible. The whitewashing of the cast is so blatantly racist that i they didnā€™t even try to hide it. They gave us the token black girl and called it a day. Winx Club provided some much needed representation as a child and having purely white actresses play poc is so disheartening. It is most likely they are going to pair the one black girl with the one black boy (Dame a new character). I honesy believe thats the only reason they kept Aisha. They made these actresses and actors look so okd even though they are meant to be 16. Half of them look like they have morages and you want me to belive they are children. It is worse than riverdale casting. Nothing is believe. They did this with the cast so the characters could have sex, which is honestly something i donā€™t need to see.
They took so many artistic liberities. They even removed Techna, one of the OG and donā€™t even address it. What was the point of changing up the characters. Even with Flora. Terra was originally Flora but the backlash from whitewashing a Latina character made them change the characters name but nothing else. They think by giving us some body diveristy, which is the one positive, that we will forget that his character was original a poc. What was the point of this? They did it twice by whitewashing Musa. Musa is not white. Nothing about her screams white and im so upset that the little diveristy this show had is being swept away. The whole adaptation thing is pissing me off because they arenā€™t even taking plot points from the original series. Call it inspired by Winx and move on. If you changed all the names of the characters and calles it Fate, i wouldnā€™t even know it was based on Winx Club. The whole edgy angsty look is to be expected with netflix, and i wouldnt mind having a darker Winx club if they had even a little bit of the original plot. They are fairies but have no wings? Elements? MUSA A MIND FAIRY?! They are just cutting out specific things and discarding the rest which is ultimately what is so unappealing about this whole premise. They didnā€™t need to introduce new characters when they ignore so many of the original ones, male and female. Iā€™m mainly salty about never seeing a Techna and Timmy relationship.
There is just something off about the whole general look.
Tumblr media
They look like adults trying to play children. The outfits arenā€™t even what ā€˜normalā€™ relatable teens would wear. They changed the colour pallet and made it so cringe. Itā€™s overall upsetting.
So much more is wrong with the Winx Club nightmare netflix is doing and if you are gonna watch at least watch it in putlocker or something. Hopefully, we can get it cancelled after season 1. But with how long riverdale has been going on, its unlikely.

Commission: Zethes the Pixie
Phew Ā Ā I'm so glad to have this done! This was a commissioned piece for DoseOfStardust of her Winx Club OC, Zethes, a wintry-themed Pixie. It took me a little longer than usual partly because of some IRL stuff that came up and also I was having a fit over the pose right from the start. Ā Which is kind of a shame because I was particularly excited to work on this one after discussing the details of the character. But I did eventually get down a pose I was happy with (even if I did still have to hide a foot because I could not get it to look right and felt like I was spending waaaay too much time on it) and was able to move on to other things. As an aside, I think I'm getting better at doing line art and everything in Photoshop alone! And at drawing guys! Ā (I guess that's what happens when you draw them more often, right? ) I did enjoy getting to flex my creative muscles a bit with a lot of the details. This marks the first time I've done a full finished Winx Club piece in my own personal style, rather than emulating the exact show style. And to that end, I've determined I will take Winx Club Commissions like this, though I'm still uneasy about doing them in the official style, as that takes a LOT of extra time and effort on my part because I'm sure a perfectionist about it. Doing it in my own style takes a lot of the pressure off! I kind of went in on the clothing detail, based on what the commissioner and I discussed of Zethes as a character. On top of that, I tried to go for a wintry palette that wasn't too cliched/obvious, based on a few different wintry images that I made "base palettes" to work from out of using Adobe Color. (And I may have been subconsciously channeling a bit of Valtor imagery based on certain trailers that dropped recently...) The wings were actually the easiest part; I immediately had the idea for an icicle sort of shape/look, and then I added the swirls because the icicle shape was visually begging for it to my eyeballs. Getting the texture was a little tricky, but more so on just figuring out how to do it. I also tried to dot a bit of frost on his clothes, but it is very subtle because I didn't want it to look too much like it had just been plastered on as an afterthought. Then I added some snowflakes and wind swirls in the background and a border to spice up the gradient. Which, another side note; thanks to the lovely folks in the art community on Twitter, I've recently switched from having a pure white background in Photoshop while I'm working to a muted grayish-blue color, and let me tell you guys, it is indeed SO MUCH BETTER on the eyes!! I'd already invested in a pair of anti-blue light glasses for working on the computer to help preserve my sight and give me the ability to be able to work longer on the computer, but my eyes would still get tired what seemed like fairly easily while I was working on digital art; I saw the above tip (about not using pure white in the background while coloring) floating around and decided to give it a try. I've done two pieces working this way, and I've already very much been converted and convinced it's working. So, to my fellow digital artists, GIVE IT A TRY! That's about all I've got to say on this piece; Overall, I am quite happy with how it turned out. Next up, I've got three personal pieces backlogged (I wanted to finish and post this commission first), that'll I'll be spacing out over the next few days. Some experimenting with watercolor, and one other experiment that I'm very interested in seeing the reception of...so stay tuned! ____ Artwork (c) me, MysticSparkleWings Character belongs to DoseOfStardust I do not own Winx Club ____ Where to find me & my artwork: My Website | Commission Info + Prices | Ko-Fi | dA Print Shop | RedBubble | Ā  Twitter | Tumblr | Instagram

Winx Alternative Cannon: Transformations
I've been considering an Alternate take on Winx Club cannon lately, rewatching the show and working on some alterations as a frame work for a alternative telling of the show, not quite a full blown AU, but just some slight differences, like the fandom approved ability for Fairies to access any transformation they've acquired rather than being stuck using the latest one they 'earned.'
And Speaking of the Fairy Transformations: lets talk about them in the Alternative Canon.
Please note the Alternative Canon is more than just: they can swap between transformations they already have whenever they want, some of the requirements, properties and meanings are different and also require universal alterations.
I've also been thinking of making a side blog just for my Winx stuff but I don't know if it would be worth it. All I've really got is the head cannons for the AltCan Winx Club, and the Astr'ix AU that started off as a AltCan Original Transformation....
Where was I? Oh right!
...How do I put things 'under the cut?' cause this a long ass post and I'm so sorry for putting it all over your Dash.
Lets start with the first fairy form:
The 4Kids dub referred to it (and fairy magic as a whole) as Winx, Rai called it Charmix. In AC universe there is no name for it, as the most basic for of fairy, all fairies will achieve this form, so it is typically just referred to as 'fairy transformation.'
In some circles it is (jokingly) nicknamed Basix, these circles are typically multi-formed fairies. E.g. the Winx Club by season seven.
The basic most form of a fairy, the only requirement is to be a 'fairy' and connect with your power. The resulting costume is a combination of a fairy's personal style, and the manifestation of their magic.
Enchantix:
The second (and typically last) form fairies gain, Enchantix is achieved not through the act of sacrifice, but that single instant of clarity when a fairy realises how far she is prepared to go to protect or save others. Though this does typically happen in a moment of actual risk, thus beginning the rumour a fairy had to sacrifice herself for a person from their planet.
Part of the manifestation of this Will to Protect is Fairy Dust, the manifestation of a fairy's magic and their desire to help people, it enables a fairy to dispel dark magic, and in some cases, heal people.
The Enchantix also grants fairies the ability to miniaturise.
Charmix:
At Alfea, many fairies gain their Charmix before their Enchantix, leading to some confusion on the proper progression of transformations. The Charmix is earned by facing yourself and recognising your own weaknesses, accepting yourself and your preparation to change.
The Charmix boosts a Fairies powers when in use and (passively) also allows a fairy to 'collect' transformations and use them at will, rather than being stuck using only the latest transformation a fairy has acquired. (This ability has led to the transformation being called 'A Fairy's favourite type of Charm Bracelet.')
++++
These three are some of the only fairy forms that require personal reflection, understanding and/or growth, this is also why they have the most deviation in appearance between fairies.
Most other forms are created for specific purposes and tend to be both gifted and some what uniform in appearance.
++++
Speedix, Tracix, Zoomix:
Another Alfea speciality, the 'Three Wings of Clariel' are gifts given to students of Alfea who have earned both their Enchantix, their Charmix and proven themselves to be potential Guardian Fairies. The Three Wings can, once obtained, be used from any fairy form. They grant the fairy the power to fly faster than any other known wings, to see recent events or past moments of intense emotional impact, and to teleport. The exact range of teleportation differs between fairies but the Zoomix allows instantaneous transport between two worlds, only the more powerful fairies can transport from one end of the known universe to the other in one shot.
The Wings were crafted by Clariel, one of the Founding Fairies of Alfea.
(Alternative Cannon Backstory required:
The wizards of the Black Circle are Fairy Hunters, who rip the wings off of Fairies to steal their powers for themselves. They managed to figure out how to nullify the effects Fairy magic had against them, and so, managed to terrorise the magical universe, until the Earth Fairies figured out how to combat their nullification spell, by altering the fabric of their own magic just enough to get around it. Realising the danger, and unable to create a patch for the spell, the Black Circle waged war on the Earth Fairies, culminating in both sides being imprisoned in time dilation fields.)
Believix:
Believix is the manifestation of the Earth Fairy ability that allows them to over come the Black Circles 'immunity' to Fairy Magic, it is gained by receiving the Blessing of an Earth Fairy. The Winx Club received their Blessing by accident when Earth's Fairy Princess Roxy placed her trust in the Winx Club.
Roxy herself cannot obtain a Believix form because the Believix power already exists with in her, regardless of the transformation she wears. This is why Roxy's basic fairy form and the Winx Club's Believix forms bear a resemblance, in addition to the Believix form taking some of its style cues from Roxy's 'fairy style.'
Lovix/Sophix:
The Lovix and the Sophix are gifts from the Earth Fairies Aurora and Diana, and so contain a trace of Believix, which is why the three outfits appear to be variations of each other.
The Lovix protects the user from freezing temperatures, natural or otherwise, and grants a minor ability of ice while in use. (It should be noted all Fairy Forms protect the Fairy from Cold and Low/Poor Atmosphere to a certain extent, but the Cold Protection of the Lovix is Infinitely Superior.)
Like wise the Sophix protects against humidity and heat, as well a bugs, it gives the wearer an improved connection with the Voice of Nature.
These two forms are two of several Gifts of Magic that exist, several forms of the Lovix and Sophix exist and merely require the Blessing of a Major Fairy of the correct power type.
**Harmonix:
The Harmonix is an underwater form which can be obtained by bonding with a selkie from the fairy's home world. Capable of transitioning between air, land and water, the Harmonix allows fairies to operate at otherwise impossible ocean depths.
When a fairy needs to travel at great speeds, the long train of the skirt and leg ribbons, instantaneously transform into a mermaid tail that can propel the fairy and otherwise unobtainable underwater speeds. (it should also be noted: as an underwater based Form, the Harmonix does not have soled shoes, just pretty leg ribbons.)
**Sirenix:
A transformation that is Exclusive to the Infinite ocean, it enables fairies to swim as fast as their tailed Harmonix forms, and grants them a deeper connection to the oceans of the universe. It requires the Harmonix form and access to the Infinite Ocean to achieve.
Bloomix:
A modern rendition of a more Primal Fairy Form, the Bloomix is granted by receiving a small spark of the Dragon Flame. This form has a higher attack power than any other, but a fairy's healing abilities can be lessened as a result, it is the Warrior form of fairies. The users of this form were, in Daphne's prime, referred to as Nymphs.
Mythix:
The second 'world exclusive' form, It requires a Wand from the Legendarium world to manifest, and can only be used within the world of the Legendarium. It protects users from the Fugue of the Legendrium, a curse which steals Fairy Magic if a Fairy remains in the Legendarium too long.
*Butteflix:
The Blessing of Wild Magic, this form is acquired when a fairy manages to obtain a compatible form of Wild Magic. (Compatible in this case meaning freely given, not stolen for selfish purposes, fairies who have received the Blessing of a Major fairy of Nature are more likely to prove compatible with Wild Magic.)
*Tynix:
'Pocket Dimension' gear, allows a fairy to access world inside pocket dimensions with out suffering the effects of 'pocket distortion,' a magical cousin of the bends which occurs when moving to, from and around in Pocket Dimensions during the initial 24 to 36 hours.
(Granted by a friend of Daphne's who lives in a tiny clam in lack Roccaluce and specialises in dimensional magic. Technically one of the Gifts of Magic.)
Dreamix: ***
Allows Fairies to enter the Dream World, and fight in it. Originally gifted by Morpheus*** (early ssn2) as a one use transformation, recharged and earned ssn8.
Additional notes:
* I must at this point admit I have not finished season seven, I had trouble tracking down the episodes and I just.... oh my goodness.... this season... I have however watch WoW, and enjoyed it as a back to basics, but some of the season was a bit... yeah... (they fairy animal thing was really forced and weird okay, and none/very few of the transformation terms are the same as cannon, why did they even need to visit the mini worlds? I don't know! I'm so confused... I spent most of Nex's screen time yelling 'Who. Are. You?' at the screen even though I know who he is...)
** see Suiseix entry below/right at the end
***(Morpheus was a character in the comics in an alternate introduction to Aisha story, he opened the door for the Winx to enter the world of Dreams to free Aisha from Darkar's nightmare curse thingy.) There are several occasions where a Fairy may use a Transformation she has not yet Earned, or should not be able to wield, by gaining Authorisation from Higher Powers like Morpheus, or The First Fairy Arcadia and her group.
Powers like Fairy Dust and Miniaturisation can be used in forms other than Enchantix but they're less potent/harder to use/require more magic
It should also be noted that 'new' does NOT mean 'more powerful,' but it does mean 'more power.'
Each new transformation increases a Fairies over all power, passively, but the transformations are not inherently more powerful than one or the other.
Presented as Game stats:

Alternative Canon Original Transformations/Variations.
Suiseix/Mizunix:
The temporary fairy transformation powered by the water stars (Bloom must let go of the Dragon Fire completely for the duration of its use or risk the destruction of the universe.)
The 'Water Stars' the Winx collected from the alternate dimension weren't the Actual Water Stars, they're amulets which allow the girls to channel the power of The Water Stars, from their realm into the realm of the Winx, like Bloom does for the Dragon Fire. (Which is why they just so happen to be thematically linked to the six fairies)
Suiseix > Harmonix
This transformation was authorised only once, but once the power of the Water Stars was withdrawn from the amulets, the Winx were allowed to keep a less powerful echo of the form: The Harmonix.
(Entering the Infinite Ocean requires a bonded Selkie to take you (the first time). Serena, Daphne's bonded Selkie was frozen by her gate on Domino. In her ghost form, Daphne was unable to do anything to help her, unsure if she was even still alive within the ice. Using their sisterly bond to create an empathic link, and aided by the Harmonix power of the Winx, they magically pull Serena into Lake Roccaluce where they manage to thaw her using the Dragon Flame and Fairy Dust, and she bonds with Bloom. (Selkie can form multiple bonds, especially if their Bonded is the magical equivalent of a ghost.))
(Suisei: Japanese ā€“ the water star / Mizuno: Japanese ā€“ of water)
TL;DR ummm.... Fairy Transformations and stuff that I threw the canon out for cause I though it was OP/BS or just kinda bleh?

The Pixies
I've now decided to do redesigns of the pixies. However, I will be using the original Winx Club style but not the original style of the pixies. So they will have the designs of the human looking creatures of Winx Club. However, they won't all be the same age, just so Piff isn't the only baby.Ā I'm adding this to the mythos of the bonded pixies is that if a fairy's soulmate is another fairy, then their bonded pixies are soulmates as well.
Lockette
Tumblr media
Lockette, the Pixie of Portals and Bloom's bonded pixie was the first one I did and I love how she turned out. I made her the age of a child because she just felt like a childish character to me. She really looks utterly adorable.
Amore
Tumblr media
The Pixie of Love and Stella's bonded pixie. This is BY FAR my favorite of the pixie designs and I know it will stay that way because she looks GORGEOUS! This was the one I was looking the most forward to doing because I love Amore's design so much! She looks so ethereal with this body and just so stunning.
Chatta
Tumblr media
The Pixie of Gossip and Flora's bonded pixie. I definitely felt like making her a child suited her best because she just has such a childish personality. However, I had to give her a different outfit because her outfit in the show is NOT appropriate for a child.
Tune
Tumblr media
The Pixie of Manners and Musa's bonded pixie. I had A LOT of fun working on her. She has such an elegant look that was made even better by this new body.
Digit
Tumblr media
The Pixie of Nanotechnology and Tecna's bonded pixie. Out of all the pixies, Digit is my favorite personality-wise, mainly because of Lisa Ortiz's PERFECT performance as Digit in the 4Kids dub. I had a lot of fun working on her because of how unique is is among pixies with her powers being nanotechnology rather than just regular technology. She's the perfect pixie for Tecna. I love how I got to use two different colors for her wings as opposed to just one color like with the rest of the pixies. I also made sure to give her lips, something that she didn't have in her original dub, which is probably one of the stupid reasons why they genderbent her in that dumb Pop Pixies spin-off. I also really love that pose! It suits her.
Piff
Tumblr media
The Pixie of Sweet Dreams and Layla's bonded pixie. She's absolutely ADORABLE! I had a lot of fun with her because I did make some changes. I gave her the hairstyle she has in later seasons, made her hair darker, gave her full lips (Since she's black or at the very least a blite), and darken her skin. She's the most similar to the original pixies designs, even though she looks different from her original design.
Robinson
Tumblr media
The Pixie of Survival and Brandon's bonded pixie. He's from that lame Winx Club spin-off, Pop Pixie. He's Amore's love interest and that was one of the reasons why I chose him for Brandon, since Amore is Stella's bonded pixie. And I just felt like he suits Brandon really well.
Martino
Tumblr media
The Pixie of Acrobatics and Helia's bonded pixie. He's from that lame Winx Club spin-off, Pop Pixie. I just felt like he suits Helia really well and would help push him to come out of his shell like Chatta goes with Flora. So him and Chatta are soulmates. He was a lot of fun to work on.

My Redesigns of The Specialists
Well, since I finished with the Winx Club girls and The Trix, I figured it was time to do my redesigns of The Specialists. However, not all of them are going to be just powerless fighters. I felt it would be more fun to make their team be made up of fighters, fairies, and sorcerers. Plus, they get to have their own transformations too. The fighters get transformations similar to the Power Rangers/superheroes (Because it makes no sense for there to be an emergency and they just rush off to change clothes, which is an INSANELY dangerous time waster), the fairies will have transformations similar to the Winx Club themselves, and the sorcerers will have transformations similar to the ones from Miraculous Ladybug (Honestly, I don't know what to think for the sorcerers). Why? Because it's so much more fun that way.
Sky
Tumblr media
Well, I got the most BORING of the boys out of the way, so that's something. For his design I used Eric's body from The Little Mermaid, the face of Derek from The Swan Princess (Or at least from a specific poster), used his second hairstyle from the show because it suits him better and look less like a surfer dude, and I used the uniforms The Specialists get in the later seasons because it's BADASS. Plus, considering that Eraklyon is related to geology, it makes sense to have some armor that looks like stones. I did change the shade of blue to match his signature color, which is sky blue (I mean, it's in his name). He is the prince of Eraklyon and the son of a sorcerer and a fairy, but they still loved him despite that he had no magic. However, that made them even more protective of him since he was a child and there was a threat of him being kidnapped and held for ransom by Yoshinoya. So Sky's best friend/squire, Brandon (Who is a fairy and has magic to protect himself and Sky) was to switch places with Sky for public appearances and in school, so that no one would know who Sky really is. The only ones who knew the truth were the royal family, the castle staff, members of the royal court, and Diaspro & her parents (Who Sky was betrothed to since they were babies). Despite having no powers, Sky refused to be helpless and studied fighting hand-to-hand combat and weaponry. Sky is a boring character but could be good if put in the right hands. Give him flaws, have him held more accountable for his actions, none of the bullshit conflict that happens with him and Bloom from seasons 4-8.
Brandon
Tumblr media
For his design, I used the face of Edward from Enchanted, the nose of Rameses from The Prince of Egypt, the eyes of Joseph from Joseph: King of Dreams, and the body of Bolin from The Legend of Korra. I've always questioned what race Brandon was supposed to be coded as because he seemed pretty ambiguous. Was he just white but with a tan? Was he Middle Eastern? Was he Filipino? Was he Hispanic or Latino? I saw someone say he was Middle Eastern and pointed out some areas in the Middle East where they have lighter tan complexions, dark brown hair, and similar features to him. So I thought for some representation, I would go with the Middle Eastern coded option. I made him a little darker than he was in the original show by giving him Flora's skin color from the original show (Since I gave her a darker skin-tone in my redesign of her), sharper eyes, and more Middle Eastern looking nose. I didn't want to use Aladdin's nose because the noses of Aladdin and Jasmine were a little too exaggerated the same way that the noses in Lilo and Stitch were too exaggerated (Polynesians don't have potato noses). I also wanted to show some body diversity by giving him a plus-sized body. NO, Bolin's body isn't fat but it's very much plus-sized. Brandon was a fat little boy growing up because he was just built differently. However, as he got older and started training, he bulked up. He's still plus-sized but is also muscular. You're probably wondering why I decided to make Brandon a fairy. I don't know but it just works. He is the fairy of geodes! I got that idea from Diaspro's fairy form and powers. They come from Eraklyon, so the magic in that world must be related to geology. So he's basically an Earthbender lol. But his powers are rooted on rocks, stones, gems, ect. so it's no wonder his body is so solid like a rock. I also modeled his wings after Diaspro's, which I noticed are solid instead of transparent like other fairy wings. I figured that must be part of the geology themed powers. As for his costume, I based it on one of the background fairies that were seen during the destruction of Bloom's home planet, Sparx. It just looked like it suited him. He and Sky have been friends since they were little and he is Sky's squire. He's the son of one of the palace guards. Since Sky was in danger of being abducted since he was a little kid, Brandon was made to pretend he was the prince for Sky's protection. Brandon's parents were dead against it, but the king demanded it. However, it was ultimately Brandon who decided to do it, even if his parents disapproved of putting their son in danger. You may ask, how would people believe that two white parents had a brown son? No idea! I guess they just said he was naturally tan lol.
Riven
Tumblr media
For Riven's design, I gave him the face/head of Proteus from Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas, the body of Shang from Mulan, and the eyes of Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. For his outfit, I didn't want to just give him the same outfit as Sky but with a different color because I wanted more individuality. So I gave him the outfits that were worn by Nex and Thoren (Sky's cousin). They looked less heroic and epic as the outfit I gave Sky, which suits Riven's more roughish nature and how he hasn't had an easy life compared to Sky (More on that later). It also has a bit of a low-keyĀ bad boy vibe to it. I still stayed true to his signature color, magenta, while making sure it didn't clash with his magenta hair, and giving him some purple to match his eyes. And I just had to give him an angry look on his face because it's Riven, so of course. Riven is my absolute LEAST favorite of the specialists. Sky may be boring as hell but Riven is ANNOYING as hell. He's poorly written, has terrible development, is always an asshole for no reason, has no backstory to justify the way he is, doesn't really change, and his relationship with Musa is absolutely toxic. In my version, I give him a backstory and better character development. His backstory is that he was born to a father that was a sorcerer and a mother that was a fairy while he was born without the ability to perform magic, which was a MASSIVE disappointment to his parents. They neglected him, emotionally abused him, and on occasion physically. This makes his actions and attitude all the more understandable. He's a show off because of how he never really got attention growing up from his own parents and is trying to make up for it, as well as prove that he is capable of great things and isn't useless just because he doesn't have powers. He's angry and a hothead but has more of a secret gentle side that he sometimes shows, MUCH MORE than the original Riven, which helps make it more understandable why Musa would have a crush on him. His emotional baggage also made it easier for Darcy to manipulate him, even giving him some magic (But takes it away when she dumps him). His backstory also gives him a reason for why he lashes out at his fellow teammates. In my version, Brandon is a fairy and Timmy is a sorcerer, so they can perform magic while he can't. He especially resents Sky because of how he was also born with parents that could perform magic while he couldn't but was still given love and attention despite this. It made him VERY angry and jealous because of how Sky manage to have parents that adore him, despite being born unable to do magic, while Riven had neglectful and abusive parents because of his inability to perform magic.
Timmy
Tumblr media
For his face/head I used some old concept design of Milo from Atlantis: The Lost Empire and the smile, eyes, and body of Aladdin. I went with Aladdin's body because of how Timmy wouldn't be as masculine as the others but wouldn't be lanky. Aladdin has some muscles on him but he's not super built. I also gave him freckles because it's just too perfect for him. His outfit was tricky because of how I had to find a way of making him look like a sorcerer but also incorporateĀ it with technology to go with his powers because of how he is the Sorcerer of Technology. For his scepter, I went with Tecna's Mythix wand, with some adjustments. Redheads look surprisingly really good in the color yellow. I decided to make Timmy a sorcerer because of how I feel it suits his personality. He's not as action-oriented as the other guys but more intellectual, even though he still fights. Imagine how amazing he'd be with technology with magic. He'd excel! No, I don't have him being from Zenith like Tecna but from another technology planet, though one that isn't considered as high up as Zenith. So this makes him feel a little intimidated by Tecna, that and him having a MASSIVE crush on her. He always is trying to prove that he is capable and isn't just some weak nerd. Out of all of the specialists, he's one of my favorite, if not my number one favorite. He's just absolutely awesome with how much of a dork he is.
Helia
Tumblr media
Helia was the one that I was looking the most forward to doing a redesign of because of how I made him a fairy. Out of all of the Specialists, he's the one that really benefitsĀ the best from being made a fairy, especially when I got to his Believix and Enchantix. He has more of a feminine personality while still proving he isn't a wuss but rather a badass, despite being a pacifist. This gives him layers and depth beyond just being a typical good looking hero. Plus, his hair is just AMAZING! I used the body of Mako from The Legend of Korra, the eyes and nose of Shang from Mulan, and the head/face of Little Creek from Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. I also gave him Brandon's skin tone to make him look more brown instead of just a light Asian. His outfit is very feminine but also clearly meant for a man because of how it's kind of toga looking. But I did his toga in a way that looks more Asian inspired instead of Greek inspired. Plus, this look suits his chill and relaxed personality. I made his outfit salmon pink with some orange because those colors just look so good on him and just suit his character. I made him the fairy of art, the same way that Musa is the fairy of music. So he can make art literally come to life, turn things like paint into ropes, can control paper (Particularly when in an origamiĀ shape), create portals, can jump into paintings to hide, and you get the point. Basically, his powers are awesome!
Nabu
Tumblr media
And now we've come to my favorite of The Specialists, Prince Nabu. First of all, I want to make VERY CLEAR that in my version, Nabu DOESN'T die! That was a bunch of BULL CRAP! I mean, he's introduced in season 3 and then close to the end of season 4 they kill him off? Not to mention that out of all the boys, they chose the darkest one, who was also the love interest of black woman! She ended up having to suffer more than any of the other girls because of this. Not to mention that in season 5 they tried to replace him with a brown (But much lighter) man with terrible blonde hair and a terribly bland and boring personality to match, Roy. Then when that didn't work, they did a dumb love triangle in season 6 where the white man that has a personality mixture of Riven and Brandon, Nex. Yeah, all of this is TOTALLY not racist! And that's coming from a white man. Also, I wanna also point out that Nabu is NOT black! He is Indian, so he is coded as South Asian. Now that we got my rant out of the way, for his design I used the face/head of Naveen from The Princess and the Frog, the body of Flynn Rider from Tangled (I wanted to use Naveen but there wasn't a base of him to use or a tasteful nude picture of him), and the eyes of Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I also chose to keep his super long single braid instead of the two shoulder blade length braids he had in season 4. Why? Because it just looks SO MUCH better and is more badass. Non-white men just look amazing with long hair. He is still a prince but he doesn't come from Layla's planet, Andros. Why? Because that planet is water themed and his powers aren't related to water. His powers are illusions and healing, so it only makes sense that he comes from another planet, especially when the rules of Andros are black while Nabu and his family are Indian. He and Layla are in an arranged marriage, which she refuses and their relationship still goes the same way it did in season 3. Except, I'm having them meet during my Sirenix story line because that season would be about Layla, due to it being water themed. He still went by a disguised name, Ophir before revealing his true identity once they fell in love. So I'm giving true respect to the Sorcerer of Healing and Illusions.
And now for Brandon and Helia's Believix!
Just like the girls, Brandon and Helia are getting Believix and Enchantix forms. For the Believix forms I took inspiration from @teawithlemonacid, who did some fanart of The Specialists as fairies. I did make some adjustments of my own but still did take inspiration from that artist, so credit where credit is due. As I said when I did the girls with their Believix, the way they earn their Believix is pretty much the same way they earned their Charmix in season 2. They have to believe in themselves and overcome a personal struggle. I also took liberties with the Believix aesthetic because of how I want the fairy looks to be more timeless rather than dated-looking.
Brandon's Believix
Tumblr media
For Brandon's design, I gave him a new hairstyle because if the girls get new hairstyles for each new fairy form, so do the boys. I gave him Nex's hair, apart from those dumb looking sideburns. I embroidered some stoned onto his outfit because of how he's the fairy of geodes. Since I also decided to have his race be Middle Eastern, I decided to incorporate some of that into his look as well. I gave him some curled toed shoes and some Middle Eastern inspired accessories. That was hard because of how most Middle Eastern jewelry are women's jewelry. I gave him Tecna's Mythix wings because they just really suit him for some reason. As for how he earned his Believix, well he had to overcome some hidden resentment he had for Sky that was starting to show during a trust exercise. He resented that he had to put his life on the line for Sky ever since they were kids. That really effects a child when they are having their lives in danger in order to protect someone else. Yes, Brandon did agree to do it in order to protect his friend but he also knew that if he didn't do it that he and his parents would be in trouble with the King and Queen. Sky's parents didn't really show much concern for Brandon's safety and that caused more resentment because Sky didn't really say anything to his parents about their poor treatment of his friend. Sky could tell something was up and it was only when Brandon stopped bottling up his feelings that things started to get better. It was emotional and difficult but Brandon felt better when he finally let it all out. It was then that he earned his Believix.
Helia's Enchantix
Tumblr media
homeworldHelia's Believix was A LOT of fun to do. I loved getting to have his hair loose because it looks amazing. I didn't make too many changes to the outfit I modeled this after. I love how the gold has a paint-like feel to it. It really adds to his powers being art based. I used Flora's prototype Bloomix wings for his Believix wings because they just seemed to suit him. I also had the magic coming from his hand looking even bigger and more powerful than it was during his Magic Winx form. The way he earns his Believix was different from how others earned their Believix. instead of mainly being an emotional struggle, it was also a physical struggle because he had to overcome his passive nature. He has a lot of power but he holds himself back because of an accident that happened when he was a kid. Because he didn't restrain himself, a friend of his got badly hurt. The friend lived but his parents wouldn't allow him to be friends with Helia anymore. After that, Helia kept to himself, chose not to be aggressive, and wouldn't live up to his true abilities because of that accident. His grandfather, Saladin (The headmaster at Red Fountain), has been trying to break him out of it and live up to his true potential. It was only when his friends, specifically Flora, were in danger that he finally overcame his passive nature and started using his full power. This caused him to earn his Believix.
And finally for Helia and Brandon's Enchantix
We have come to Helia and Brandon's final transformations, Enchantix. Just like the girls, they must earn theirs by saving someone from their homeworld by making a big sacrifice. The boys were hard to do, due to how there wasn't really anything for me to go off of. However, I think I managed to do a pretty good job. I also wanted to have them be in revealing outfits just like the girls. I mean, fair is fair, after all. Let me know what you think.
Helia's Enchantix
Tumblr media
For Helia, I wanted to do something that had an Asian influence to it that also showed his art powers being influenced. I gave him something that was very flowing to go with his sensitive and feminine personality while also having a rainbow theme to go with his powers. I didn't use the colors of the rainbow because I didn't want him to just look like a Pride themed look, which ended up looking awkward and busy when I first attempted it. So I limited the colors to the ones in his wings to make it look better. I still wanted to include his two main colors, salmon pink and gold while still making the rainbow colors pop. I went with a very Asian inspired hairstyle, which actually shows both of his eyes. The eye that is usually covered is actually blind, which goes with the childhood backstory I gave him that helped him earn his Believix, which will also play a part in earning his Enchantix, which I will get to in a little bit. I felt it would show him embracing himself while also showing the Asian culture. I took some liberties with the jewelry because of how most jewelry is meant for women, which is why most male looks are boring. I tried to butch up his shoes to make them look less girly and making the gems resemble a paintbrush. For his wings, I used Stella's Mythix wings because they look like a rainbow, which really suits Helia. I made his powers in his hand the biggest and strongest they've looked out of all his fairy forms. As for how he earns his Enchantix, I had him save his old childhood friend, who Helia had accidentally caused to become permanently blind because of his powers, which also caused Helia to become blind in his right eye. He had seen him but was avoiding him because of his guilt, despite his old friend trying to reach out to him during this time. He saves his old friend from an avalanche that was caused by The Trix, specifically Stormy. Helia not only almost died but his wings were crushed, so he wouldn't be able to fly. He said that he lost his friend once because of something he did and wasn't going to lose his friend again when he could do something about it. However, it was due to this sacrifice that he was able to earn his Enchantix and gain a new and MUCH stronger pair of wings. Not only that, but he had his old friend back after all this time. Helia apologized for what he did to his friend when they were kids, but his friend forgave him and said he missed Helia.
Brandon's Enchantix
Tumblr media
Brandon's Enchantix was even more difficult than Helia's because of how Brandon's not as feminine as Helia. I took some inspiration from Tynix because of how Brandon's powers are related to geodes. I made his vest and best/waist thing look like diamonds. I even incorporated gems into his sash. I took major liberties with jewelry because Middle Eastern (Which is the race I decided Brandon is) jewelry is very limited in jewelry for men, at least from the google search I did. I love the one sleeve look I gave him with his emerald vest/armor. I even gave him some gems on the bottom of his pants. I gave him very Aladdin looking pants, only without the crotch being so low lol. I gave him the hairstyle of the character Thoren from Winx Club and Stella's Tynix wings. The way he earns his Enchantix was by saving Sky from being eaten by one of Valtor's minions, causing Brandon to be eaten instead. This cause Brandon to earn his Enchantix and his powers were enhanced to where he could destroy the creature from the inside. This earned him not only his Enchantix, but also finally getting respect from Sky's parents, who, AT LAST, apologize for how they treated him. Yeah, this is simple but you get the point.
ENJOY!

Fate Liveblog episode 1! Let's watch this trainwreck!
Seeing "in association with Rainbow" over this dark ass opening is sending me.
Feckin sheep. Ah fun. Mutilated sheep body. Insert Silence of the Lambs joke here.
Oh we just jump to bootleg Hogwarts right after the sheep.
Okay I'm 99% sure knife boy is Riven.
Wtf who is British McBitch? Please tell me that's not Sky.
Mansplain??? That's not... That's not mansplaining. He's saying "you look lost as fuck so if you need help ask me".
Wait is Riven British too wtf? Also boy from what I've heard you have no right to call anyone out on "perving on the forst years". Though Riven and the guy I'm assuming is Sky already have more chemistry in ten seconds than Sky and Bloom did in three minutes.
Oh god everyone's British.
Ah. Stella's a bitch now. Seriously add some more passion and her condecending remarks could fit with the original Trix. At least they kept her having a magic ring?
"We've had wings in the past but as we evolved our effects budget has been lost".
Okay. I know WoW had a Peter Pan based story, so Fate acknowledgign Tinkerbell shouldn't throw me off guard but still.
Also I can already tell they're trying to Avatar this by seperatinf the Elements instrad of just. People have Magic affiliations of all kinds.
I know the original Faragonda was already kinda bootleg Dumbledore but bootleg Faragonda is looping back into that so hard.
"Lady of the flies sweetie don't be sexist!". Honestly the corection is more sexist. Women can be lords if they want to fuck you.
Well Aisha is helpful and so far the best character but god the bar is low and I don't expect more.
"There's a fairy in my family tree. Like a long dormant magical bloodline". Or you know. You're adopted.
Wait. The "Otherworld" has Harry Potter?
Ah there's the "flora is my cousin" thing. Kinda hate how I'm identifying with Terra as the fat girl who is awkwardly rambling.
Okay Musa is also kind of s bitch. Like girl just tell Terra "hey I'm not up to talking rn".
Okay. I know they're talking about doing it with girls but goddamn do these two have some homoerotic tension. Or maybe it's just the swordfighting.
Ah yes. Riven gets high. Great.
Oh. Exposition while Riven goes off to get high. This won't end well. Wait. The Otherworld has shotguns? The teacher mentions a shotgun. Also "Burned Ones" sound like a fancy name for zombies.
Riven how did you not notice that body when you sat down. Do you have no peripheral vision??
"Let's get this cleaned before the gossip starts". Cuts immediatly to the gossip.
Aisha's bingo decapitation joke was funny. But will we learn something other than how she likes to swim?
Beatrix is dropping in all the swears. She's also giving vreepy stalker vibes.
Okay. Flashback to Bloom fighting with her mom. And you know what? For all the "I'm not like other girls" vibes, I kinda get it if your mom is calling you a weird loner to your face.
God mansplaining again. No.
Oh. Okay. The Stella and Sky thing is giving me heavy cheating and abuse vibes. Yikes.
Has Bloom... Not heard the rumors about the mutilated dead body outside the barrier? Because if so she's dumb af.
Oh. She's dumb af anyway for going to the middle of a forest to test out fire powers instead of waiting for class tomorrow where she'll have an actual teavh in case, oh I don't know, something goes wrong?
Oh hey guess what happened. Luckily your new friend is a water fairy. And she calls her out on that dumb idea!
Flashback again. Why is her mom such a bitch oh my god? Damn she kinda deserves to be punched. Maybe not set on fire but decked for real.
Oh Aisha's asking if she's adopted.
Oh no they're doing a changling plot? Really? Fuck.
Secret tunnel! Not sketch at all!
Okay Riven's being a little agressive in the flirting but honestly dude seems a little into it. Terra's kind of butting in so he's kinda right in being like "hey fuck iff" but the fat joke is a little uncalled for.
Terra fuckint snapped. Not sure he deserved to be stramgled just yet. Also the "don't be a dick to fat people" thing is a little hamfisted.
Ah. Stella's getting the "my mom is a bitch who puts expectations on me so I'm also a bitch" thing ain't she?
Ugh. Mind fairy. Why.
"i remember what happened to the last person who was talking to Sky". Dude. Did Stella kill someone? Considering what she did sending Bloom out there she might've holy shit.
Wow. They're trying to make Bloom's parents sound decent after the whole. "Weird loner" and stealijg her door thing. Wtf.
"I always knew your path wouldn't be like everyone elses". Is that why you punished her for not being head cheerleader or whatever?also can't they see her in the shadows outside the house?
This abandoned warehouse has elevtricity?
Oops. Lost the ring. Luckily everyone showed up right then.
Oh. Stella and Sky are going to be the "on again pff again but should really stay off" couple. Ugh.
"I can't sleep in a room where everyone hates me". Well maybe don't try to get a girl killed because your ex dares to talk to her.
"You're better than you think you are Stella". Are you sure about that?
Snorting the midnight adderall???
Terra's trying. Like. I still hate thst she's replacing Flora but I kinda relate man.
I like how they're having the emotional speech about the headmistress wanting to protevt her students while Dane is going through Riven's instagram and accidently liking hot pics. Also fucking "crymeariven".
Ah. Mysterious hooded fucker in the woods. Is it Beatrix? Yep. Why the fuck.
Okay that's episode one done. Took fucking forever.
I think my feelings so far is what I expected:
As an adaptation, it sucks. The characters are nothing like their original versions. The aesthetic is completely gone. So on and so forth.
But treating it as its own thing.... It's still a bit of a hot mess but the kind of hot mess I'd be all guilty pleasure about.
They seriously should've just made this it's own thing. Give the characters new names and you wouldn't be able to tell it was related to Winx Club.
