I have some thoughts on the oppression of trans men and mascs and why it’s often not taken as seriously as other kinds of oppression.

I think a big part of it is that what is mainly weaponised against trans men and mascs, as well as other trans people assigned female (or assumed to be assigned female) is infantilisation and erasure, and for people who haven’t experienced those types of oppressions, it’s often hard to understand what they mean, how they work, and how they themselves are perpetuating this oppression. Because the words sound easy, so people just make assumption based on what the oppression is called without listening to the affected people (which is easy, too, because of both infantilisation and erasure. It’s a circle), which leads to people thinking it can’t be that bad for us.

Erasure, or "invisibility" must mean oppressors won’t notice us, "cant perceive us", and thus we’re "save". Infantilisation must mean we’re treated like children, and while children are treated badly sometimes (understatement tbh, but that’s a different conversation) most of the time that must mean we’re "save" too, because we aren’t taken seriously.

What both of these things combined actually mean is that we’re abused, but there won’t ever be consequences for what happens to us. People can do whatever they want to us, because no one would believe us. We’re just stupid little girls (no matter our age) and the people who we claim hurt us just want to save and help us. And so, our abuse is swept under the rug.

There’s a pile of bodies under the rug but because no one lifts it, our claims that these dents are there are ignored, ridiculed. We’re just imagining things. No such thing is happening.

When we talk about what happened and is still happening to us, it’s always just individual. Incidental. There are no systems in place that kill us. We’re just stupid little girls imagining stupid little things. Now hush while we bury your best friend in a dress and under a name that made him cry. She wasn’t a man. Just a stupid little girl.

You’re just imagining things.

Nothing bad ever happens to trans men. And if it does, it’s because we’re seen as something else.

He was raped because that man thought he was a cis woman. Ignore that he threw transphobic slurs at him first. Ignore that he screamed he’d fuck the tranny out of him to make him his housewife.

That man died from natural causes. Pregnant people die all the time. Ignore that he was denied insurance coverage because he had the wrong gender marker, and that his death could’ve been easily avoided. Ignore that the complications he had could’ve been easily treated had he gotten the care he needed. It was his own fault anyway. What did he think would happen when he got pregnant as a man? He chose this.

Ignore the trans men being institutionalised, the trans men put through conversion therapy, the trans men "fixed" into perfect submissive housewives and mothers.

It’s so easy for people who aren’t affected to just… turn around and ignore everything that happens to trans men and mascs. To just. Keep acting like trans men and mascs are just ""incidental"" victims of violence instead of one of the specifically targeted groups. Because if they keep acting like these systems don’t exist, like nothing ever targets trans men and mascs specifically, just incidentally, they don’t have to question the way they act around and towards trans men and mascs.

Acknowledging that "trans man face a lot of erasure" is easy (tho most people even struggle with that.) Doing something about it is the hard part a lot of people don’t want to do. Just saying "this happens to some trans men, too, maybe" after a bunch of cis women talked about pregnancy, natal care and/or abortion is easy, inviting at least one trans man who was or is or wants to be pregnant and listening to him talk about the struggles he has or had with the medical system, or in finding support groups or anything else around natal care and child care/(future) parenthood is the hard part; because it would require the cis women to actually adjust their behaviour to include transmasculine people and trans men in their conversations.

Adding "*some of these things also affect trans men" underneath a text about forced marriages and pregnancy is easy. Actively including the voices of trans people of people who have been through this? Nope, can’t do that.

It’s easy to acknowledge erasure exists (and again, even with that most people still struggle. The bar is in hell and so many people still can’t get over it). But no one wants to do the work necessary to do something against it. Because why would they? No one cares anyway. Trans men keep on dying, but since they don’t see it, it doesn’t happen. Doesn’t matter.

Let’s talk about something else now, yes? This isn’t happening. There’s more important things to discuss now. You’re just being hysterical and blowing things out of proportion.

And THAT is what infantilisation and erasure is. Constant gaslighting, not being taken seriously, being abused and harmed over and over and over again and having everyone just ignore you, having people who should be supporting you tell you it didn’t happen, with no possible way of speaking up about it. Because the second we open our mouths, we’re just hysterical and making things up, because if those things really happened, other people would’ve seen or heard something, right? And since nobody beside us sees it, we must be making it up. Else anyone else could verify what we say, and since they don’t, it must mean we can’t be trusted to talk about ourselves, our own experiences.

And most people will take the easy way out and continue to ignore us, which plays right into the infantilisation and especially the erasure we face.

hey, saw ur reblog about meta surgery, just wondered if you could tell me anything about your experience? as im considering getting the same surgery as u someday (: thanks!

sure, did you want to know anything specific? i'll list some stuff here too though:

i just had simple release and opted to not have urethral lengthening

recovery time and pain level was more than top surgery. i was given a bunch of strong pain killers so it was like manageable, but it was maybe 4-5 weeks before i could do stuff "normally" again

i had a total hysto at the same time so that probably made it a little harder to recover from but it wasn't like agonising or anything.

i had a catheter in for 6 weeks after even though i didn't get UL because my surgeon wanted to make sure i didn't get pee or anything on any sutures lol. having it taken out was by far the single weirdest physical sensation i have ever felt (it only lasted like 2 seconds tho), weirder than having top drains out

i could have had testicle implants and a monsplasty 6 months later but i was moving country that year so i didn't plan anything. i would assume i could have also gotten a vaginectomy if i wanted.

my surgeon sort of did a scrotoplasty already and put some belly fat in it (lol), i haven't heard of any other surgeon doing this but it does look like a regular ballsack even though it's "empty".

he also asked me if i wanted the head of the dick to be left smooth and round or if i wanted to have it shaped like how a natal dick's head is. i got it shaped. the whole thing also looks like it's uncircumcised which is cool?

i got sensation back Very quickly after surgery.

sitting down wasn't that much of an ordeal but being sat down/being in bed for such long periods was so i had to get one of those doughnut cushions so my butt wouldn't get (more) sore. i also got a little rolling desk that you can extend over bed so i wouldn't have my laptop right on top of me. lifesaver

because i had a hysto at the same time, i had to wear pads for a while. my balls got pretty sore from this but after i stopped wearing the pads it didn't take long for them to go back to normal

someone suggested i get a pocket mirror to be able to look at everything better while i was recovering and it was a good idea.

for stuff like well beyond surgery:

it's small but looking at it, it's unmistakenly a dick n balls.

it acts like a natal dick. you can see it get hard and soft and twitch and everything.

it feels like one as well, just smaller. like as in using your hand to touch it.

trimming the hair around it makes it look bigger. monsplasty will also definitely make it look bigger

i'm getting phalloplasty in a few years, and i've heard that having meta first (with or without UL) can make the stage 1 surgery a little easier on you.

How do you rectify a chart? I can’t figure out if I’m Leo, Capricorn or Virgo ascendant

It's kind of a complex thing to do and a lot of explanation so I'll try to give some of the most crucial tips:

First important thing in rectification is to use a wole sign house system. If you're a Leo rising at 29 degrees, it doesn't matter. The whole Leo is your 1st house and so on

Also REALLY think of what makes the most sense to you. So you say Leo or Virgo or Capricorn. Now I'm assuming you have approximate time frame for Leo/Virgo cause they're next to each other but where does the Cap possibility come from? Is it an am/pm debate or what?

Look at each possible rising sign through whole sign houses and try to REALLY be objective when it comes to your planetary positions and what planets rule what houses. Look at the ascendant ruler. Where would each ascendant ruler fall? WHAT planet is your ascendant ruler? Being Saturn-ruled will be SO much different than being Sun or Mercury-ruled.

Ask people around how they view you. Think of what you value the most about everything. Think of what approach in life you have.

That will be your basis but the real rectification starts with looking at transits and progressions:

Prepare a list of dates of important events in your life, it can be anything that stands out in your memory (injuries, heartbreak, starting/ending a relationship, getting a job, moving, travelling, starting a hobby, weird coincidences etc).Use profections to see what planet was active during a given year to see what planet will be the most prominent during that year.

Look back at transits regarding those events. If you have 3 options with your rising sign, you need to mix and match and see what makes sense in terms of planets transiting your houses/planets.

For example: in 2017 I went through a 3rd house profection year ruled by Mars. So Mars was my time lord. Almost immediately after birthday I started getting ill and having various acute health problems pretty much throughout the entire year. So I could already tell the energy for that year was very martian: inflammatory and sudden and just malefic in general.

Another example: my sister is a Pisces rising and during one of her 1st house profection years she got married. Her 1st house profection would of course be ruled by a benefic Jupiter, which can indicate a good year, especially for someone with a day chart (Sun above the asc-dsc axis). That year transiting Jupiter entered Cancer - her 5th house where she has her natal Moon. That year during the transit she also happily got pregnant. So she got a double blessing from Jupiter cause it was her time lord and it also coincided with a good transit to her chart.

Look at planetary cycles. For example, Venus is retrograding every 8 years in the same sign. Last summer it was rx in Leo. How did that affect you?

Think of your Saturn transits. What heppened when Saturn was in Leo vs Virgo vs Capricorn? When Saturn transits the 1st house, we often take solid care of our health and bodies, start work out routines, often times because health issues pop up etc. Sometimes Saturn through the 12th can bring health issues (usually chronic or ones that are hard to diagnose) as well tho so keep that in mind.

You need to really sit down and do a bunch of notes and draw conclusions.

Let's take an example of my exhibit Gemini rising: his ascendant ruler is Mercury. During his 1st house profection year (which already indicates there can be stuff happening to the body), he injured himself. So his time lord for the year was Mercury - this will be a planet that is more sensitive that year. Now looking at his transits, his injury occured when transiting Mars was squaring his Mercury. On top of that, that Mars was also opposing his ascendant, which can also lead to accidents.

Generally also look at the state of your potential ascendant ruler: is it in a good or bad house, is it well or badly aspected and is it exalted/fallen/whatever etc.

Secondary progressions can also be useful. Look at progressed benefics and malefics and if they went over your potential axis. Now it's hard to rectify an exact degree of the ascendant but let's say you have your natal Mars in Cancer and it progressed into Leo at some point: if you're a Leo rising, it would progress into your 1st house and so maybe you started being more accident-prone or started having anger issues or suddenly found interest in sports. Now I don't know the rest of your chart so that's just a hypothetical example.

Generally it's a tedious thing to rectify a chart but you either REALLY sit down for a few days or weeks and do it yourself or you can pay a ton of $$$ for someone else to do it for you. Also once you feel like you did the job, still keep an eye out for transits and how they affect you, just to have a confirmation.

- [ ] Aquarius moon people I’ve met, most of them act against the norm. For example, if most of their co-worker follow some stupid rules in a workplace, they won’t follow that.

so far the results are pretty interesting. I am hoping some clearer trends are gonna emerge as we get more answers tho.

I guess I will explain my own thoughts growing up.

When I was a little girl, I used to be convinced that there was a vagina hidden just under my penis, and I would often have dreams that it fell off to reveal me as really having been a girl all along.

I also learned when I was around 10, that it was possible for AMAB people to be born with a uterus, and was immediately convinced that was the case for me(which is interesting considering that my symptoms are suggesting that I have PMDS, which means AMAB uterus basically)

But also, even into my teens about the time where I went dormant as an alter. I was believing that I was secretly a girl, and that everyone around me not just knew about it, but were actively lying to me about it and trying to hide it.

When I then come back from dormancy, I knew I was trans. So I assumed all these thoughts were just a trans thing, so I really thought nothing of it.

But over the years since then, and I have realised all these odd things about my body, like my natural infertility, undersized testes, generally lacking effects of my natal male puberty, natural feminisation, but also full on menstruation with PMS and blood that seems to have been going on since I first started puberty. But also hearing similar stories from other intersex people.

I have started thinking there might be more to those thoughts. Which is why I made this post.

So please, do keep answering and sharing this post around, just so we can see what people have experienced and so we all can get answers finally

as some of you know, I am trying to get an actual formal intersex diagnosis, and it's taking quite a while to get through the system.

Pluto trine Mercury- Pluto the truth seeker meets the communicator. Your intellect runs deep. communication with a certain level of power and intensity. Thru communication, you can possibly sense hidden objectives or motives of others. Always wanting to uncover smthg or the other, be it academics or just situations.

Pluto trine Sun- Wow you with all the confident aspects!!. This one gives you powerful charisma, inner confidence, and knowledge of your worth. But to get to your self-power you might go thru some death-rebirth situations. Nevertheless, a powerful placement. Always trying to succeed. do remember to take breaks and regenerate <3

💌 it’s kinda difficult to associate mbti with astrology because the natal chart is so complicated. an aspect to one of your planets can totally change it’s expression. if someone had sun in 1st, i’d assume them to be more an extrovert, but if their sun was in cancer and had a harsh aspect to saturn, they’re likely going to be an introvert. so it’s kind of tricky for me to connect astrology to mbti, it’s too complex. (not that mbti isn’t!!!)

On synastry and how to approach it

If you follow me you may have noticed few of my posts where I'm fixating on the fact that I don't know a certain person's birth date. And I said I'm sensing a nice Venus-Mars connection and honestly now that I think about it, I feel like Jupiter is heavily underlined in here as well. So that made me think of synastry a lot (not that I don't think about it on daily basis) and it made me want to elaborate a bit. Also because I see this weird approach where people single out certain aspects and turn them into "make it or break it" kind of deal and that is just wrong.

Actually it's similar with natal charts. The difference here is obvious - you have two individuals which means double the options in which way the energy may go and more potential for aspects to cancel each other out. So while natal interpretations of, for example, planets in the houses will resonate with you, all the black and white interpretations of synastry house overlays belong in the dumpster imho. And I knooow, I knoooow, one of my first posts was about house overlays. It was very generalized one and I did disclaim to take the entire chart into consideration. But sometimes I see these descriptions where people say "oh my god Venus in the 8th house! This is highly sexual aspect!" But what if none of the people have their Mars nor Venus activated, maybe except for a Venus-Saturn square that puts a big dump on the whole thing. Also, this may as well indicate taking care of shared resources (because that's one of the main themes of the 8th). Besides - and that's my personal take - overlays are less important than aspects between planets unless a) you’re putting a stellium in someone’s house b) it's about angles, because having the same planet as someone's ascendant is a big thing and I can guarantee you that most of the people you create bonds with will have that configuration with you.

Speaking of which, the type of people you attract is highly dependant on your chart. Angles are important but so are aspects and planet placements. I'll give you an example based on my own natal chart, because, obviously, I know myself well and I pay attention to charts of the people I come in contact with. As an Aquarius rising, I attract a lot of Aqua personal planets, Leo risings and people with personal planets in Leo - surprisingly not a single Leo Sun. As a Sagittarius dominant person, most of my friends are Gemini Moons or Sag Moons. Surprisingly I only befriended one Gemini Sun in my life + my belowed dog who was a Gemini. My Aries Moon makes me weak for Aries Suns. Sun is opposite Mars (5th house) - it, again, points to Aries (and Scorpios as well). Dominant fire element and Aries in the 3rd (easy communication) helps here a lot. Having Sagittarius in the 11th (house of friends) and Jupiter in the 7th (house of partnerships), I tend to be friends with other Sadges BUT that Jupiter in the 7th makes me very attracted to Pisces as well. So DO take classic rulership into consideration!

That leads me to another point - modalities. I have a lot of mutable energy so I love other mutable energies. SQUARES omg, especially in romantic/sexual relationships. They do bring tension but hear me out. You need trines and sextiles but squares bring spice. I can guarantee you that having a flowing Mars-Venus contact will give you a pleasant feelings for one another, easiness in communication and a natural synchronicity, but it's the square that will make you wanna rip each other's clothes off. Soooo... I mean, whichever you prefer I guess. Squares are also stimulating, with trines the energy flows nicely, squares bring interest... it's a different element, but the same modality... a perfect mix to make you drawn to the other person. It's similar yet intriguing. Another example, as a Sag Venus my tastes concerning arts and music should clash with a Pisces Venus - that’s what a textbook definition will tell you - but surprise, surprise, half of my favourite artists have Venus in Pisces.

Now with oppositions it's a completely different thing. I think they work wonderful when there are yin-yang planets involved. As I mentioned earlier, as a Sagittarius Sun I love Gemini Moons. They compliment each other. The thing is, with opposites you either get each other or you just pass each other. So it fluctuates. I've noticed that especially when there's the same planet involved. Two people having Mercury opposition will get each other so well they will finish each other's sentences one day and then completely miss the mark the next. Like two vehicles driving in opposite directions.

Trines aren't 100% amaaaazing. I know many people who, like me, have inner planets in fire signs and our values, ways of thinking and approach to certain issues are completely different. We do express them in the same manner though, which is by being loud lol. Trines also bring laziness so if you have too many of them the relationship may just fizzle out. Sextiles on the other hand are so underappreciated. Air fuels fire and water nourishes the earth - it’s way more interesting than a trine where both signs are in the same element, imho. Some astrologers will tell you sextiles are "weaker" but that's just stupid. They’re just as important, okay?  

Sometimes you don't even have to have an actual aspect. Whoa, I know, mind-blown. But I see that constantly. Obviously having planets in a tight aspects is very important but let's say you have Aquarius Venus at 5° and the other person has Sun in Aqua at 20°. They don't make an aspect but it's the same sign, therefore you're going to express these energies in the same manner - which makes you compatible (tho I don't like that word). Now the smaller the orb, the more significant the aspect is. I've read somewhere that the aspect with the tightest orb kind of represents the theme of the relationship - I haven't been able to really analyze this theory tho. When it comes to orbs overall, Alexander Von Pronay is suggesting to use aspects up to 7°. I'd do that and then look at aspects under 2° to really see which energies are stronger. Liz Greene said that if you're feeling an aspect, even if the orb is wider, well, you're feeling it and it's there. I suspect it may depend on what energies you're sensitive to. If, for example, your chart ruler is Venus, you may feel Venus aspects more. And then with Uranus, Neptune and Pluto I'd say up to 2°.  

What's actually awesome are so called double whammies. It's when the same two planets are aspected both ways. So A person's Sun is trining B's Venus and B's Venus is sextile A's Sun. Or A's Moon is conjunct B's Sun and B's Sun is opposite A's Moon. I like double whammies cause they provide mutuality. People often ask "wHo FeeLs iT mORe????". First of all, there's no clear answer to that because everyone's different and their charts are different and some respond to the energy one way and some, other. That's why I like to ask people: well, how do YOU feel about that aspect (if you, of course, know astrology well enough to pinpoint the energy). But with double whammies you basically exchange the same aspect so, hopefully, in 99%, it will be mutual.

What I also love is having the same aspect natally. Let's say you have a Mars-Mercury trine natally and the other person has it conjoined. That is awesome. It's like going through the same experiences in life and going "yeah! I went through that too! I understand!" Better yet if then those planets also make an aspect in the synastry chart. It's great. You're going to vibe so much.

About mutuality... A few weeks ago I was watching a livestream from Nina and Shaina from Party Trick Astrology (love those girls) and they were talking about synastry so I asked them a question related to these things cause, you know, I bet they've seen hundreds of charts and I'm always curious about other people's observations. So I asked about mutuality and one of them gave an example of a girl whose Venus was beautifully aspected by a guy and the guy's Venus not being aspected at all. And how this, for example, pointed to the guy being into the girl but not vice versa. And I thought that's interesting because I'd assume it would be the other way around. Her planets didn't activate his Venus so he shouldn't be into her romantically. And I actually experienced that myself one time. I had this Aqua friend and had literally zero aspects to my Venus. Not even a semi-sextile, not even a quincunx, not even a wide generational planet connection. And I didn't see him through these romantic lens. So I guess there are no rules to this. OR it’s all about projection (which btw happens a lot in astrology). That's why I like to look at synastry charts and just get the overall vibe. 

Now with that being said, the shocker. YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE ASPECTS WITH THE OTHER PERSON AT ALL. I know, a bummer. Here we, astrology junkies, are in the lookout for the perfect synastry chart but as I look at charts of celebrity couples I often see them having no Sun connections, no Venus or Mars connections, lame Moon aspects etc. That is indeed disappointing. That's why I was so stoked about that Britney-Justin synastry. Because I don't see connections like that one between all the "it” couples of today.

So I guess... astrology is bullshit... Nah, just kidding. But it is complex. Sometimes it’s quality over quantity. And you should approach synastry as a whole, just feel it out, you know? And I’ll leave you with that for today because it’s getting long.

I just found your blog after being curious if there’s any Dimash content here and God! I’m so glad that I did. I’ve read your thoughts about him and his fans and 100% agree with you. He does have fans who idolize him and sometimes it gets to another level. Also the astrological stuff that you’ve written is so interesting. It gave me a new perspective to look at him. I wonder if the distance between the siblings is because Dimash was raised by his grandparents? Do you speak Russian btw?

That's why I talk about him from an astro point of view. So you also have the opportunity to view him from a different perspective and see him as a human with positives and the negatives. We all have our shadow sides. There's no light without the darkness. His birth time is public so we can read his natal chart fully, the map of his life is right there to see. As above, so below.

You mentioned the distance between the siblings and if it's because he was raised by his grandparents?

Well I saw an interview from 2015 that he said they also are being raised by them. Maybe the difference is that they knew who had actually birthed them (I'm assuming I don't know this for sure).

One also has to take into consideration that there's big age gaps between the 3 of them. I recall reading somewhere that one is around 7 years younger and the other sibling is even 12 years younger than Dimash.

Like I've also said before - he has a teacher role towards them more than a big brother role, that would also create some distance I'd imagine. Doesn't mean that he doesn't love them very much. That, he does.

But talking about the home and family when looking at his natal chart. Dimash has pisces in the 4th and saturn there. Where we have pisces in our chart is where we're delusional about things. Dimash has neptune in the 3rd and I have to say I think he sees his childhood and family through a mist.

He's not completely honest with himself and there's definitely traumas from the past that have not been dealt with because he wasn't given space to emotionally deal with it.

Too much was expected of him as the eldest child and the pressure and responsibility he feels from and towards his family is ridiculous. So many things he wants to do but he's being restricted because of other people's influences (saturn). He must often ask, why me? The amount of times he's put aside his wants and needs to please the family is weighing on him. But again the pisces and neptune making him not see things for what they really are... e.g. he might hold resentment for a family member that doesn't really deserve it. Tendency of being manipulated by family members is very much a thing in his case.

4th house also represents the less dominant parent. He might have idealised this person and views them as compassionate. This person might also be quite passive in actuality and not entirely be deserving of this admiration.

I'm planning on talking about his saturn return in the near future even if it first begins when he's 28. We will see many things happen there!

Hey there! 💓💗💞 That would depend on what their sun is? And also perhaps, if we’re looking at rulerships - where their Scorpio is (house that it’s ruling) and where their Mars is. But that’s like-- anyways, off-topic hm. let me answer the q. 

If we’re talking about Sagittarius (considering we’re not talking about the Scorpio Pluto generation and it moves veeeery slow) - you might also want to consider how if it’s in the earlier degree, your side-real could actually have a Scorpio Pluto because it moves back with this zodiac system.

Scorpio - remember, is a fixed water sign. We usually have a lot of misconceptions bout them being tumultuous or turbulence. Waiting for them to blow up? Which is weird that we tip-toe around them, because we associate Scorpios to things that are ‘dangerous’ when certainly a large part of our population are born natal-ly Scorpios and - statistically, we’ve had much more harm done by others than we do by Scorpios generationally.

Scorpio can represent also higher form of healing and transformation as well, specifically what they produce/expresses and healing for others. That’s a part of their expressions and how we produce developed Scorpios. 

We’re talking about-- a whole sign-- full of a multi-dimensional purpose and expressions/development - not exactly knowing it’s conditions in whatever x planet- comparing it to? an aspect. That has to do with the modern planet ruler of Scorpio? 

So, you said trine but let me use this as an example for those who might be? still wondering about this - say we have, a sign with Sun/Pluto - being/acting like a Scorpio Sun. Let’s look at Scorpio Suns. Scorpio Suns acts very differently when it’s placed in different houses. Scorpio Sun in 12th wouldn’t be the same as Scorpio Sun in 2nd or 5th. Scorpio Sun in 1st isn’t the same as Scorpio Sun in 9th, 8th or 10th. (this is off-topic so feel free to skip!! this is just for other people if they want to read!!) 

Let’s say a boy with a mark for inquisitivity was born in x village, there is also another boy with a mark for inquisitivity born in y town. And another boy marked with a natural inquisitivity born in z city. 

These boys are all marked with inquisitivity, but where they’re born, what they grew up with and what they’re inquisive about in their context and environment can be very different. Say boy born in z city is from New York. He’s in the states, he knows what there is to know and is inquisitive about the general affair there. Boy born in y town lives close to the Sahara. Even if they are the same Scorpio Suns - being placed in different houses, inquisitive about different things, makes a difference in terms of interests and context. Thus how Scorpio Suns are all different from each other 

 A sign’s expression with the will of a planet is different. So if we’re talking about - a fire sun - aspected to Sagittarius Pluto. The sign’s expressions (fire/in what house) in the will of the Sun (ego/confidence) is ALSO different. Especially if we’re talking about Leo - that is domicile to the Sun and is in it’s natural rulership. This is - much different than a Scorpio Sun. 

It’s hard to narrow down what - well, ‘Scorpio’ means since there’s no planet attached to it. Are we talking about Scorpio pluto? Scorpio sun? Scorpio mars? Because getting these specifics really matters as well, not just the concept of Scorpio and it’s expressions.

SO. Anyways. If you’ve skipped to this part, hello again I hope I didn’t like- lose track of things? Or made sense atleast? A little bit. I should wrap that up better. Lets go.

Sun/Pluto trine can manifest in many different ways, since it’s tied to the self/core/ego and the psyche/desire for transformation - with the trine aspect, it often indicates a sublime ability to persuade or make others notice us for our ‘inner’ layers. There’s ‘something more’ to us that makes the person stands out, but not in a way that may expose them completely (note that it’s NOT the same as a Scorpio since they work in terms of observing, seeking and utilizing opportunities presented to them - it’s an active form of involvement and action taken, rather than the trine that makes it easier to see/observe and naturally/instinctively use). They could also potentially persuade others to do things for them, or to them. And sometimes- Sun/Pluto trine can also talk about ‘control’ and ‘power’ - such as being controlled by other’s power, having power out of our hands, controlling others too much, OR being repressed of our own power in order to not control others.  

Things that can manifest from trines is a little.. hm.. too much of a thing sometimes. As in, doing it too much, or getting complacent with it. Which doesn’t necessarily mean a harmonious aspect can turn out bad, but it’s about whether we’re utilizing the opportunity at all - or utilizing the opportunity too much to the point of depending on it or exploiting it - that could make Pluto and the condition of it blow up in our face with it’s need for change/transformation/release to happen.

Last note: Scorpios - They are fixed water. It takes a lot more to change them, especially if we have to specifically talk about which planet Scorpio is in. Whether it’s in Mars or Venus, domicile or detriment could speak about a very different ‘Scorpios’ as well. So just assuming that all ‘Scorpio-like’ expressions or similarities are the same would debunk and generalize our understanding of the signs in planet, in houses as well. Think about it

You weren’t always this lucky to have time to call Jongdae nowadays. 

”And then, Jongin realized that he had left his keys inside his car, but the door had already locked behind him! He had to call a locksmith to get him in.” 

You laughed along with Jongdae, hand coming up to cover your mouth in a half-hearted attempt to stifle yourself. “Was it the same person as last time?”  

“The exact same one. They looked pretty annoyed,” Jongdae told you, chuckling to himself from his side of the phone. 

“He should just leave a spare key somewhere, for the next time that this happens.” 

“You know Jongin, he’d end up losing that one too.” 

You hummed in agreement, rolling onto your back and pressing the phone closer to your ear. It was 5:18 in the afternoon in Seoul, but 10:18 in the morning for you. You were currently on a summer trip with some other professors and a handful of graduate students from your university studying a small sample of the wide variety of languages spoken in South Africa. The hotel you were staying at in Johannesburg was beautiful, but it didn’t have the same appeal as home. 

Especially when your favorite person was almost 8,000 miles away. 

“How is your work going? Fluent in any new languages yet?” Jongdae asked, a crinkling noise carrying through the phone as he moved around. 

“I wish I was that good,” you said with a giggle. “We’ve been focusing on finishing up our lessons on Xhosa first before starting on Zulu next week.” 

“Oh wait, Xhosa’s language that they used in Black Panther, right? The one with the clicks?” Jongdae gave a small click of his tongue himself.

“Yep! I’m surprised you even remember that.” 

“I learned from the best.” 

You chuckled, never failing to be flattered by the way Jongdae dropped compliments on you out of the blue. He always did it so easily, you couldn’t do anything but accept them gratefully. “I can only hope that my students think the same thing.” 

“I’m sure they do. You always have a bunch of students talking to you and trying to get in touch with you. Speaking of, you have some letters in the mail from some of them.”

“Did you read them?”

“No. Did you want me to?” You heard a creak and guessed that he’d gotten up from his seat, heading over to the counter where you keep your unread mail. You could picture it so clearly, Jongdae’s slipper-covered feet padding across the floor as he flipped on light switches in the hallway until he reached the mail. The thought was so vivid, you felt a familiar wave of uneasiness come over you. These periods of homesickness still came to you often, even though you’d been in Johannesburg for almost a month already. 

You cleared your throat, forcing yourself to focus on the present. “No, it’s okay. How many letters are there?”

Jongdae hummed to himself as he counted, and you knew that he was flipping through the letters one by one, movements swift like they always were. “Four. Are these all your senior students?” 

“They might be. Actually, can you open them up and send me pictures of them? They might be urgent.” 

“Yeah, of course.” 

“Thanks, Dae.” You stretched out on your bed, sighing as you felt yourself physically relax. “I miss being home, even with all the work.” 

“I miss you too. Eating at home by myself is getting pretty old.” 

Your eyes closed shut at this, a grimace finding its way onto your face. “I feel so guilty. I wish you could have come with me.” 

“Oh babe, I didn’t mean it like that. Don’t feel bad, please? I’m glad you got the chance to go on this trip. How often do you get to go travel, especially to places far away like South Africa?” 

“I know, but still.... I miss having you with me.”

“I miss you too, Y/N.” Jongdae’s voice was more quiet, taking on a more somber tone. “But it’s two months away from home, and you’re already halfway through. Before we know it, you’ll be back home.” 

You smiled to yourself at these last words. Home. Back home with Jongdae, in the comforts of the apartment the two of you have been living in for a couple of years. “You’re right. I’ll be back home and leaving my lecture outlines and worksheets all over the place like usual.” 

Jongdae laughed, the sound light and cheery like always, reminding you of sweet lemonade on a warm day. “I found a page from one of your lectures the other day. It was under the table in the living room. I didn’t realize how much I really missed you until I started getting all emotional over a piece of paper, and it was like the most boring of papers you could have ever imagined. It was a sample page from a dictionary, your freaking Latin dictionary, can you believe it? I was tearing up over that?!”

A snort escaped from you, and you fought back the giggles as you heard Jongdae joke over the line about how it wasn’t supposed to be funny, it was supposed to be touching and romantic. 

You’ve missed talking to him like this. 

A couple of days later, you were sitting beside one of your colleagues in a private bus on your way to your destination: the University of KwaZulu-Natal. The trip would be long, almost six hours if you were lucky, but the dean of your department had a close friend who taught Zulu at the university, and had arranged for him to get your travel group familirized with the language. You were looking forward to a change in scenery after staying in Johannesburg for the past month, and thankfully the hotel that you would be staying at in Durban was close to the ocean. 

You stared out the window aimlessly, watching the other cars and people as they passed by while the rest of your colleagues chattered amongst themselves. Since you were so caught up in your own thoughts, you almost missed the slight buzz coming from your cellphone. 

Quickly, you pulled it out of your pocket, letting out a sigh of relief when you saw who had texted you: Jongdae.

JD: did you sleep well? :)

You giggled softly to yourself, garnering the attention from your seatmate, Nari. She had been teaching at the university a bit longer than you had, and she was like an older sister to you. “Texting your boyfriend?” she asked with a playful wiggle of her eyebrows. 

“The one and only,” you replied, sending Jongdae a text before putting your phone down so that you could talk to your colleague properly. “He’s been extremely cheesy lately.” 

“He must miss you a lot.” 

“Yeah.” Nari didn’t fail to notice how your face fell, and she gave your arm a light poke. 

“Look at you, Miss Lovebird over here,” she sang with a childish grin. “I bet you’ll be the happiest out of all of us when we get to go home.” 

Her efforts to cheer you up didn’t go unnoticed, and you were overcome with gratitude for this entire experience. Not only was the trip extremely well-planned out, but your colleagues and seniors were also friendly and kind as well. You really couldn’t ask for a better trip. 

“I guess so,” you replied, resting your head against the back of your seat. “Although I heard that you’ve got someone waiting for you back home too.” 

“What?! Who told you?” Nari exclaimed in a hushed whisper, quickly looking around to make sure no one had heard. “I didn’t even say a word about him to anyone!” 

The next hour was filled with soft giggles and gossip about the budding romance between your colleague and another professor in your university’s History department. 

When the long drive was finally crawling to an end and you were able to catch the sight of the rippling crystal-clear ocean by the coast of Durban, you let out a sigh of relief. Being landlocked didn’t suit you, and getting even a small glimpse of the water was enough to put you at ease. 

The hotel was situated close to the beach, promising you a beautiful view of the sunrise and the sunset every day for the remaining month in South Africa. Eager to show Jongdae, you stepped out onto the balcony of your room and held your phone up, snapping a vibrant photo of the landscape before you. Without hesitation, you sent the picture to Jongdae before remembering that it was almost midnight over in South Korea. 

JD: you’re at the beach??

A couple of seconds after sending the last text, your phone screen changed to alert you of an incoming call from Jongdae. You smiled at the profile picture you had set for him: one of him grinning widely as he stood with his arms wrapped around you from behind. It had been taken at your birthday dinner last year, and you could never find the will to change the picture. “Hello?”

“Babe!” he yelled, a laugh filled with giddiness filtering out through the phone’s speaker. “I want to go over there to see you right now,” he said, a wistful whine seeping into his voice. “And you know I don’t care how sweaty you are,” he added in reference to your last text. 

Before you could answer, another voice broke in. “Y/N!” You easily recognized the voice as Chanyeol’s. “Hurry up and come back, your boyfriend’s going crazy without you!”

“I am not!” You heard Jongdae yell, and the sounds of scuffling as you assumed the boys were fighting over the phone.

“Dae? Hello?” you called out, rolling your eyes as they continued to wrestle over the phone. Suddenly, as if at the flick of a light switch, all traces of the boys’ fight were gone, leaving only an empty silence on the other side of the phone. “Dae?” you tried once again, eyes growing shifty as you tried to figure out what had happened.

“Hey, Y/N,” a new voice spoke. “I stole the phone from these goofs before they could break it.” 

You let out a breath you hadn’t even realized you had been holding. “Hi, Minseok. I hope Dae hasn’t been bugging you too much. How’ve you been?” 

“Eh, same as usual.” You could tell the older boy was smiling, the thought of his wide grin bringing back memories of home with your friends. 

“Hey, give me my phone back! I was talking to the love of my life!” Jongdae yelled out, probably from behind Minseok, you guessed. 

Minseok sighed, pretending to gag before you heard him yelp. “It was nice talking to you, Y/N. I’m giving the phone back before Jongdae punches me again. Enjoy the rest of your trip!” 

“Thanks, Minseok!” 

A breathless Jongdae was heard once more, panting slightly as he spoke into the phone again. “Hi again, babe.”

“Dae, why are you breathing like that?”

“Have you ever tried to grab a phone from Chanyeol? That monster’s like two buildings tall.” You heard the sound of a door clicking shut. “I’m hiding out in Minseok’s bedroom now so they don’t try to steal it away again.”

“Mm, good thinking.” 

“So, where were we?” 

“I honestly don’t even remember. Probably something along the lines of us missing each other a lot.”

“Yeah, that sounds like us.” 

“Just four more weeks, and then I’ll be back home. I can’t wait to show you all the pictures I took. And the beach here is so pretty! I mean, I haven’t gotten a chance to actually go down there yet, but I’m planning to whenever I can.” 

“Is it prettier than the ones here?” 

“Nothing beats the beaches back home.” 

“We should go on a trip together someday, but your semester’s coming up soon and I’m always busy with work.” Jongdae made a small noise, a small humming as he tried to think of a solution. 

“We could always leave work behind and go on a surprise trip,” you teased, knowing both of you would never actually do such a thing.

True enough, Jongdae laughed. “Even I’m not that spontaneous, athough the idea is tempting. I’d love nothing more than to just have more than a couple hours just for the two of us. No work, nothing to worry about.” 

“Same.” You thought back to your last date with Jongdae; a trip to the movie theater to go see Infinity War. Both of you were entirely too busy to have more than the weekends and the occasional day off. Even then, it seemed like some parts of your minds were always reminded of something that needed taking care of at work. 

The door to your hotel room opened behind you, and you spun around to see Nari’s head peeking out from behind. Her eyes glanced up to the phone at your ear before she tapped at her watch, then held up five fingers. 

You looked over at the clock on your nightstand, surprised to see it was almost time for dinner. With a grateful smile to your roommate for the reminder, you watched as she silently closed the door behind her. “Dae, I have to go. The rest of the staff is meeting downstairs for dinner with the dean, and I can’t be late.” 

“Yeah, no worries! I’ll text you later before I fall asleep.” 

“Okay, bye Dae. I love you.” 

“I love you too, babe.” 

The next couple of weeks passed by so quickly, you were almost convinced that they had been a dream. Your team got to learn from some of the university’s professors not only about the Zulu language, but also about the culture and the history of the people who spoke it. The professors were kind and accommodating every step of the way, and you had been over the moon when they gave you copies of some of the materials that they used to teach in their classes. The appeal of having new material to share with your students and colleagues back home was so great, you almost forgot about how homesick you had been at the beginning of the trip. 

Before you knew it, it was your final week in South Africa, and you had almost everything prepared for your return trip back home. Your suitcases were nearly packed with your belongings and souvenirs for your loved ones waiting for you, a daily reminder that soon, you would be back. It seemed that the feeling was contagious — the number one topic that you and your colleagues all talked about was what it would be like when the plane landed back in South Korea. 

“The first thing I’m gonna do is run back home to visit my mom,” Justin, a professor in Ethnic Studies, spoke up. You were all gathered around a set of tables at a restaurant, lazing around and relishing in the easy conversation that came to you all. Drinks had followed after the savory dishes, and you would be lying if you said that you weren’t feeling a bit tipsy at this point. 

“Because you miss her?” someone called out, too far down the table for you to see who it was. 

“Well, yeah, that too. But also because I miss her cooking.” 

The table broke out into groans and chortles of laughter as Justin’s voice grew louder. “What?” he asked, face red from the drinks he had earlier and his embarrassment. 

“I never would’ve guessed that alcohol makes our friend Justin here all sentimental,” Nari whispered to you, hiding her smirk behind her hand. 

You hummed in agreement, downing the rest of your drink before setting it down on the table. “You’re one to talk,” you said with a laugh, the sound more of a silly giggle as you let yourself relax. “Remember that time we went drinking to celebrate you getting approved for tenure and you cried for hours at the bar?”

“She did what?!” Justin yelled, eyes bugging out as he glanced from you to Nari. Who would have imagined calm, always-prepared Nari as emotional when drunk?

She shot you a glare, but you pretended not to notice and continued on. “If you ever see Nari drunk, she gets all sappy and basically starts giving speeches about how much she loves every single person in her life. That time, I was worried until she started talking about how thankful she was to everyone she worked with. In. Full. Detail. We were there for practically the whole night.” “Alright, and alcohol turns you into a chatterbox,” Nari interrupted, pulling you up along with her. “I’ll be taking this girl back to the hotel before she gets even more intoxicated.” 

The rest of your drinking party shouted out their farewells, some of them advising you two to stay safe as you stumbled out of the restaurant. 

“I’m not that drunk,” you grumbled, although you let Nari hold onto your arm for safety. As you continued to walk, you found yourself leaning onto her more and more, your steps growing heavier. 

“Yeah, okay. I’m pretty sure your boyfriend would lose his mind if I let you do something crazy.” 

Your eyes widened at the mention of Jongdae, and you clumsily got the clasp of your bag open, rummaging through it for your cell phone. “I should call him! I can’t remember the last time I even texted him.”

“Y/N, I saw you texting him an hour ago. He’ll live without you texting him until tomorrow morning.”

Despite her words, you finally got your phone out and began typing out a text to Jongdae.

JD: babe? are you okay??

🌷: aveolutelyy fome

You squinted at the screen of your phone, trying to decipher your own text while Nari stood beside you and tried to call a taxi. Your phone suddenly started to ring, the familiar ringtone that you reserved for Jongdae playing in your ears. 

“Y/N?” you could hear him say, and you pressed the phone lazily to your ear. “Where are you?” he asked, concern lacing his voice. 

“Out eating. And drinking.” You stifled a small burp before continuing on. “I love you, Dae.”

“I love you too babe, but are you sure you’re okay?” 

“I am absolutely, one hundred percent fine.” 

Nari leaned closer, rolling her eyes at your statement. “Jongdae? This is Nari, your girlfriend’s pretty drunk so I’m taking her back to our room.” 

“Thanks,” Jongdae sighed out in relief. 

“He says thanks,” you relayed to Nari. “But you’re wrong — I’m not pretty drunk, I’m only slightly drunk.” 

Nari snorted at this, continuing to look for a taxi while you heard Jongdae speak up through the phone. “I really doubt that,” Jongdae said with a chuckle. “Get some rest and I’ll call you later.”

“Promise?” 

“Pinky promise.” 

“Okay. You better remember.” 

Jongdae let out a breathy laugh before making a sound in acknowledgement. “I will. Goodnight, babe.” 

“Goodnight,” you murmured before hanging up, the phone cold and heavy in your hand. 

A taxi suddenly drove up to the sidewalk, and Nari patted your shoulder softly. “Come on, Miss Lovebird. Let’s get you back so you can catch some sleep.” 

You let her help you into the cab, leaning against her shoulder as she gave the hotel’s address to the driver. “Nari?” you asked, watching the lights of other cars whiz past as you looked out through the window. 

“Yeah?” 

“Thanks for always looking out for me.” 

She glanced down at you, brows raised in surprise. “Yeah, of course. It’s nothing.” As your best friend, it was second nature for her to have your back. Of course, she didn’t tell you that before this trip, Jongdae had asked her to keep you safe as well. 

“That boyfriend of yours is a real gentleman,” she told you, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. “You guys are so cute, it makes me sick.” 

You shook your head, closing your eyes. “Jongdae’s the cute one.”

“Okay. Just go to sleep, dream about Jongdae or something,” she teased.

You didn’t answer, the only indication that you had heard being a small nod. 

You didn’t remember much of anything else, except for being woken up by Nari, heading up the elevator and then a fluffy blanket being draped over you. 

And silly as it was, you did dream of Jongdae.

The countdown to your flight was drawing excitingly closer, and you felt as if you were all the way up on cloud nine with no intention of coming down. But of course, something managed to bring you down anyways. Multiple things, in fact. 

The first disappointment came a couple of days before your flight was scheduled to return home. Jongdae had called you just as you were about to leave the university and head back to your hotel, his words coming out in a blur.

“Babe, I’m sorry, but something came up and I can’t pick you up at the airport when you get back. But I’ll send someone to come get you, I promise!” 

“Dae, don’t worry about it. I’ll grab a ride from a friend or something,” you told him, even though you did feel slightly let down by this change in events. 

“No, I’ll make sure there’s someone there to get you! I don’t want you to have to go home by yourself.”

Even with the sudden drop in your mood, you still couldn’t find it in yourself to be mad at Jongdae. Whenever things fell through, he always found a way to make up for it. “Alright, Dae. I’ll see you soon.”

The next blow hit you when you were finally, at long last aboard the flight and realized that you were missing a USB full of notes and assignments you had collected during your summer in South Africa. The files contained things you wanted to include in your lectures for the new semester, and after failing to find it in your carry-on with your laptop, you could only hope that it was with your luggage. It really wasn’t as big of a deal as you thought it was, considering the fact that you could email the professors in South Africa and explain the situatoon to them. But with tensions already high and fatigue riddling your brain, the USB remained a dark cloud over your thoughts. For the rest of your flight, you were constantly plagued with the worry that it had been left behind in South Africa, now thousands of miles away and laying abandoned on a polished hotel table. 

When your flight finally landed after an excruciating twenty-seven hours up in the air, you grabbed your belongings and headed out to where Jongdae had texted you to wait for your pickup. At that point, you were so tired that you forgot about looking for your USB, and you were determined to catch some sleep in the comforts of your bed with your favorite person.

You had said your goodbyes to everyone else, giving Nari a hug and promising to call her before heading over to where Jongdae had said your ride would be. You were walking with your bags in hand, looking down at your phone when someone called out your name, the voice all too familiar. Looking up, you saw Junmyeon waiting for you, waving his hand and holding up a sign that read: “Professor Y/N, welcome home!”  

“Jun!” you screamed excitedly, or at least, as much as your jet-lagged, exhausted self would let you. You came closer with arms outstretched, leaving the suitcases a couple of paces behind. 

“Welcome back!” he greeted you cheerily, returning your hug and then taking the suitcases himself. “How was your flight?”

“Long. I honestly just want to sleep for decades. Oh!” You suddenly remembered the USB, explaining the story in full detail to Junmyeon even as he looked over you warily.

“We can look for your USB later, I think your health is more important. Plus, Jongdae will be pissed at me if you end up fainting from exhaustion. Come on.”

You lumbered into Junmyeon’s car, letting your head rest on the window as the two of you talked. Junmyeon filled you in on everything you had missed: from Jongin and Chanyeol’s joint cafe venture being a success, to Yixing’s latest return from Changsha. You gave him the gist of your trip, elaborate stories shortened down to small summaries in your weary condition, but Junmyeon knew he’d end up hearing the full stories sometime later on once you were well-rested. 

He pulled up to your place, immediately getting out to grab your suitcases for you. “Will you be okay getting this stuff up by yourself?” he asked worriedly, his feet shuffling slightly as he thought. 

“Yeah, I’ll take the elevator, don’t worry. Is Jongdae home?” 

His eyes widened briefly before he looked away, clearing his throat before he spoke. “Uh, I don’t know. He didn’t tell me anything before I came to pick you up.” 

Too worn out to question his behavior, you gave little thought to his response. After waving goodbye, you managed to get all of your belongings inside, up the elevator and to your floor. The wheels of your suitcases made a hushed, rustling sound as they rolled over the carpeted hallway. There was no one else out yet, seeing as it was still only eight in the morning and on a Saturday, no less. You let out a small huff of exhaustion as you got to your door, unlocking it and pushing it open with your shoulder. What lay beyond the threshold, however, left you speechless. 

You were taken aback to see papers scattering almost every available surface of your home, each one slightly different from the rest. From where you stood at the door, you could tell that there was a line of text on each one of them, although you couldn’t tell what they said from this distance.

After switching your shoes for your well-missed slippers, you ventured closer to a sheer of paper laying on the floor next to the shoe rack. A smile lit up your face as you realized what was on it: the words “I love you”. A glance at the pages nearby showed the same phrase, but in other languages. 

A small journey around the room had you gaping in awe at the diversity of the langauges scattered throughout it. “I love you” in Korean stared up at you from the couch, one in Italian was taped to the TV. You were even impressed to see it written out in Icelandic and even Xhosa and Zulu, the two languages you had been studying during your summer trip. 

“Oh my God,” you breathed out, taking precious time to study each sheet of paper, every symbol on them all written in a hand you knew too well: Jongdae’s. “Dae?” you called out, stepping over a sheet of paper in your way. “Are you in here?”

You turned the lights on as you made your way to the bedroom, the bulbs sputtering to life as they lit up overhead. When you finally got there, pushing the door open cautiously, you were disappointed to see no sign of Jongdae anywhere. Upon further inspection, you caught sight of a small, yellow envelope resting on top of the blankets. 

Careful to take your time in reading, you couldn’t help the smile that came to your face and the sudden warmth settling in your chest. 

“Welcome home, babe! I’ve missed you, I hope you enjoyed the small surprise I set up~ I’m sure you’re wondering where I am, right? Meet me at the place where we first met, I’ll be waiting for you there ❤️”

The place where you first met? You remembered first meeting Jongdae at a mutual friend’s housewarming party, but you were confident that he didn’t mean for you to meet him there? Surely you were missing something...

You paced around, the envelope in your hand as you willed yourself to think. “Come on brain, work with me here,” you pleaded, throwing your head back to stare up at the ceiling as you continued to walk around in circles. 

Circles. A hand came to your mouth as the answer suddenly hit you like a flash of lightning. The party was the first place where you two had actually spoken to each other, but you two had met each other for the first time while walking in circles at the botanical gardens close to your university. You were there on a lazy Sunday afternoon with Sehun taking pictures to fit his Instagram aesthetic when he had spotted his friends, Jongdae and Kyungsoo. Jongdae had assumed you two were dating at first, and he had later confided to you that he was glad the opposite was true. 

Quicker than you would have thought physically possible, you were back downstairs and beginning to worry about how to get to the gardens when you recognized a car parked outside.

“Jun? What are you still doing here?” you asked, peering into his car. 

Junmyeon rolled down the passenger window, a playful grin on his face as he unlocked the doors. “Need a ride?” 

“You’re in on this too!” you exclaimed, hopping into the car. 

“I’m guessing you know where we’re going?” he asked, already setting off. 

“Seoul Iris Garden!” 

The drive was far too long for your waning patience, your feet tapping against the floor of the car as you fidgeted in your seat. All of the fatigue that had been weighing you down earlier was gone, a sudden rush of adrenaline replacing it. 

“Will you at least tell me where he’s waiting?” you pleaded, for what was probably the fiftieth time since you got in.

“It’s a secret. And if I tell you, it won’t be as fun.” 

“For you, or for me?” 

Junmyeon ignored this with a knowing smile, pulling into the parking lot. Before he could even put the car into park, you were out and jogging into the depths of the gardens. 

The gardens were peacefully quiet, only a couple of people walking around in the early morning. You, by contrast, were out of breath and starting to get sweaty with all of the running around you were doing. You had seriously underestimated how difficult it would be to find Jongdae. 

As you dashed past patches of flowers, you finally caught sight of a small figure standing atop a bridge spanning a small stream. “Jongdae!” you chirped out, a triumphant laugh leaving your lips as you approached him. 

He turned around, his grin spreading on his face and his eyes alight with mirth as soon as he caught sight of you. A burst of laughter bubbled out of him as you wrapped your arms around his waist, holding him close to you as you rested your head against his chest. “You found me! And you saw all the papers back home?” 

“I did! I can’t believe you had me run over here in my airport sweats though, especially now that I see what you’re wearing,” you joked as you loosened your grip to look him over. Jongdae stood before you in a button-down you had bought for him a couple of years ago, with a pair of black pants and shiny dress shoes. 

“You know it doesn’t matter to me even if you’re even out in pajamas,” he murmured. He lifted a hand to your face, running his thumb over your cheek as he gazed into your eyes, as if he couldn’t believe you were really there before him. 

“So what’s the big occassion? This is all a bit much just to welcome me home, isn’t it?” 

“Well...” Jongdae cleared his throat before dropping his hand from your face. He held onto both of your hands in his own, his thumbs running over the back of them nervously. “I missed you so much, more than I even expected.” 

“I missed you too, Dae.” You leaned up to press your lips to his, the sensation of his lips against yours something that you had been longing for ever since you left. 

Jongdae pulled away, much too quickly before your liking before resting his forehead against yours. “This trip was an eye-opener to me. I mean, I already knew that I loved you, but I didn’t know that I had room in my heart to love you even more until after you were miles away from me. I looked forward to every text, every phone call, every picture that you sent me. Chanyeol wasn’t kidding when he said I was going crazy with you gone,” he added with a small chuckle. “I think I went over these plans like crazy for the past month or so.” 

“And it definitely swept me off my feet. Thank you, Dae.” You nudged his nose with yours, giving a hushed giggle when he pressed back, just as gently. 

“There’s still one more thing.” 

Jongdae let go of your hands, and before you knew it, he was down on one knee and pulling a small box out of his pocket as you gaped down at him. With trembling fingers, he got the top of the box open, revealing a delicately designed ring inside, the diamonds there sparkling in the light of the morning sun. 

“Y/N, I love you. So much. I can’t imagine a day without you in my life. I love hearing the sound of your laughter, the way you whisper to me when we’re falling asleep at night. I want to wake up beside you everyday for the rest of my life, not just as your boyfriend, but as your husband. Will you marry me?” 

You were nodding even before he could finish his question, dropping down beside him and catching his lips with yours in a kiss. “Of course,” you breathed against his lips. “Of course I’ll marry you.” 

Jongdae beamed at you with a smile so full of love, you weren’t sure how any single person was capable of carrying around so much affection. You let him slip the ring onto your finger, the cool metal resting there as if it had been there all along. He brought your hand up, his lips brushing over the ring as you felt a flush start to dust your cheeks. 

Your relationship was strong enough to withstand time and distance, something both of you had learned through this trip. Together or apart, you two would always come back together. Home was with Jongdae, and his was with you. 

And now, the two of you would create a new one together. 

A/N: i knew going into this that there really was only one option for the ending — absolute fluff haha! i hope that you guys enjoyed this and that it was worth the wait! this fic was inspired by exo-cbx’s “miss you”, which talks about a long-distance relationship as well (and also the song is just really good, so that was definitely on repeat while i was writing this) also fun fact: i almost majored in linguistics, and then decided against it because grammar is my #1 enemy 😅
