I did myself a HUGE favor by finishing game of thrones before starting black sails because I could have never gone back to got after getting a taste of the storytelling in black sails
#like idk how to even explain#its like got tried to hard to be edgy that it forgot to be a story first#black sails is a VERY character driven story#I guess theres like some hope that the characters will have some happiness#got became so grimdark that i never saw ANY possible hopeful outcome#black sails is totally different#there are less female characters overall than got#and it has the potc problem of having poc but they’re only background characters#I am very angry that mr scott is the guthries slave#lol when the show started i was like idk but i gotta watch out with elanor#my instincts were right lol#yeah shes totally cancelled#i dont see enough people discussing that from what ive seen in the anti eleanor tag#anyway long story short black sails has problematic elements just like most shows but its way better than got#black sails#my posts
