Can y’all imagine the chaos that would ensue if we suddenly decided to splice together the way Grian plays Phasmophobia with Watcher Lore?
Specifically going off what is seen in the videos on his second channel, as I don’t know anything that happens on streams-
Grian’s play-style (most of the time) for this game is: Watching. He often stays in the van, monitoring the cameras and telling his friends when activity is happening or their sanity is low.
And, in many of his videos, the times when he does die in a hunt are mostly due to the fact that he can’t see- the ghost, obstacles, hiding places.
Now I’m not saying we SHOULD start dropping Watcher lore into Phasmophobia- I just have an obsession with Watcher lore and got bored so I wrote this

Updated mulitverse-Total 11 smps
I posted a mutiverse theory a couple months ago but this is the new and updated version. Now holding 11 smps from big ones like hermitcraft to smaller smps like Joey's one block series. Be warned over 2000 words long.
In resent times we have discovered the interconnectivity of a multitude of minecraft smp. There are multiple different ways the multiverse can be can connected however this is my version.
It is important to note the main two ways charaters can travel through smp's.
One is moving on after death or when a story has finished and is the main way we see characters switch between smp's. After most of these death's characters will go to what i call the inbetween a state inbetween servers where they wait for the next to start. In the inbetween most get their memories erased so they start the new smp with a clean slate. There are a few execptions from this however in the life series where characters seem to remember past lifes and events.
The second is through dreams. The first place i came across this directly was through Gem. Gem's lore on both empires season 2 and hermitcraft season 9 is that she is just playing minecraft with her friends and happens to be on both servers. Her interdimensional travel seems to occour via her bed in which she can go to  sleep in one server and wake up in another. Sausage in empires season 2 also displays this one time however his lore about interdimensional travel can be very confusing at times and often leads to him server hopping on accident. Still these 2 sources show us a second way for server travel.
Dispite some characters being able to hop between servers we can still get an idea of a constant time line of order of events. While some of the servers seem to happen similatiniosly some can beplaced in a specific order.
We start with Minecraft Evo. Here we learn about the watchers a pair of over arching detietes that whatch over all minecraft smp's creating each one for their entertainment. At the end of Evo they wish for Grian to join them as the watcher he didn't agree and continues to live among all the other mcyt's.
Next is 3rd life this is cononically linked as a death game created by the watchers we know this from Martyn's pov where the watchers are telling him to try and convince Grian to join them as the 3rd watcher. After 3rd life most of the people go into the inbetween they forget lots of what happens however there memories are recovered in other life series smp's.
Scott and Jimmy however never go to the inbetween they instead go to their own afterlife a perfect version of their hobbit home. They never get their memories wiped from 3rd life thats why we can see constent reference to them in later smps.
Soon after the members of 3rd life split to their new servers mainly hermitcraft and empires. I'm mainly going to focus on empires as it is a server i am more familiar with. Empires goes on as normal each emperor either running away or dying at the end. The ones we see die join the inbetween and all have their memories erased. The few we don't see die on screen can be assumed to have joined the inbetween as the watchers see no need for a server where its story has ended.
Sausage in empires season 1 collects lots of different version of his dog Bubbles a cannon character in every sever Sausage is a part of. All the Bubbles can communicate with eachother and almost seem to know the future off eaah server they're on. This connects lots of Sausage's single player worlds such as his 1.18 hardcore world.
An important note to consider is members like Gem who are on both hermitcraft and empires. Unlike Gem's lore that was previously mentioned in empires season 2 Gem in season 1 can be assumed to be different to her hermitcraft counterpart. We know this because of Sausage hopping back to empires season 1 where he mets Gem. If Wizard Gem were also a 'rolplayer' she would understand how Sausage could be similar to the on she knows but isn't however she dosn't.
Another rule brought in around this time, the fact that love seems to transend the memory wipe. We see this mainly in flower husbands and Lizzie and Joel. All members of the life series and empires know and remember Scott and Jimmy realtionship in 3rd life dispite all but the 2 of them having their memories wiped. The same with Lizzie and Joel everyone seems to remember their marriage. This can be furthered by ranchers after the hermitcraft and empires crossover.
The only exception to the inbetween and memory wipes is Pearl. Pearl from empires soon goes on to be offered the chance at godship after empires season 1 however she says she wants to take part in the other 2 seasons of the life series before taking her rightful place as a goddess.
Both last and double life take place now memories of 3rd life being recovered due to the similarity of all 3 servers. The watchers constently disappointed in Martyn for not making Grian the 3rd watcher yet.
After Pearl takes part in the life series her empires self takes to godhood while her hermit self continues in hermitcraft. Pearl dosn't seem to have the same element of power as the watchers but is still a goddess in her own right.
Now the memories of older love seems to fade. Memories of Lizzie and Joel being married aswell as Scott and Jimmy's time in the flower valley. It is a possiblity these kind of memories together do eventually fade with time because of the nature of how they continued to exist in the first place. Or maybe it is for another reason. We see in double life Joel and Etho fall in some kind of love it may not be as strong  as Joel was with Lizzie but something was there. However it is definitive that Jimmy and Tango fell in love during double life. Possibly this new love pushes away memories of the old. Not the feeling but the memories.
Then is afterlife. Afterlife is an is an interesting case as it is not a smp in the same way the others are. Afterlife is instead as the name suggests an afterlife just a different manifestation of the inbetween. Its a game made it entertain the players while we wait for empires season 2 to be ready. This can explain the rapid death during the end of the smp. Once enough time has pasted in the empires cannon universe they can bring the emperors back into the real world however the watchers can't break the rules of their own game. So they make it more difficult to live, to finish the smp quicker.
It can also explain why players such as Oli and Lauren die slower because the watchers don't need them for empires season 2.
Sausage at the end of afterlife goes to god Pearl's home. This can expain why Sausage has messed up memories in empires season 1. Pearl struggles to bring herself to completly wipe Sausage's memories and allows him the ability to unlock them if he finds the right key. She gives him the ability to hop servers and time all he has to do is control it.
As we know Oli then - after missing sausage - runs out of afterlife and into Pearl's godly home. After a run in with her Pearl sends the man off into empires. Sausage is shown sleeping in Pearl's home explaining how Oli could leave afterlife after everyone else but arrive in empires first. Pearl rushes Oli out so fast so she can insure the timeline continues as expected she forgets to wipe his memories and he keeps them going into afterlife.
Now if empires season 2 taking place thousands of years after season 1. All of the emperor's - apart from Oli - have no memory of past servers.
Sausage after seeing a statue of Saint Pearl starts regaining memories from empires season 1 and later afterlife after meeting Oli. At first Sausage only sees flashbacks of past events we have seen before. For example the battle area with him and Pearl or his final death in afterlife but soon he is able to move around these world and comunicate with those with in. After the hermits crossover he can now take hermits with him on his adventures. However he can travel to previous seasons of hermitcraft with Bdubs and Ren aswell as to Gilded Helianthia with Pearl. All of the times he travels to previous hermitcraft seasons he travels at a time just before the end of the world. While when he travels to empires season 1 we can believe he travels to an alternate version of empires as it is the one we see evil Sausge get banished to at the end of the season. Evil Sausage speaks to Sausage during one of his travels to the previous season. Here Evil Sausage says about his wish to take over empires something that makes Sausage wish to never go back to empires.
Now we are going to tackel the hermitcraft and empires crossover. The rift is the main way of transfer between the two servers apart from Gem's previously mentioned bed travel. The rift has some phisical effects on people after travling through. These include Pearl changing into her empires season 1 outfit; Impulse loosing his beard; Jimmy growing again; Sausage gaining a crown aswell as many emperors loosing possesions such as hats.
In people on both servers like False; Gem and Pearl they all have very different cases. False is very clearly 2 different people. Both know of eachothers existence both conserned for the others intentions.
Gem is cannonicaly the same person on both servers able to travel between via beds. At first she tried to hide the fact she was on both servers from the emperors however this is no longer reasonable as the emperors move to hermitcraft.
Pearl is difficult in empires Pearl and hermitcraft Pearl were previously shown as different people due to the fact that empires Pearl is now a god. However now hermitcraft Pearl and empires Pearl are becoming more combined. Hermitcraft pearl and empires Pearl looked exactly the same on empires a physical representation of the change. Sausage bringing Pearl to Gilded Helienthia is also significant as previously Sausage had only traveled with people to a server they were a part of. Pearl also says on multiple occasions that she feels connected to Saint Pearl furthering the combination of the 2 versions of herself.
Memories are an interesting topic within the Hermitcraft and empires crossover. All of the Hermits bar Pearl and False remember/know the emperors making references to things like Youtube and other real world things references that would never canonicaly happen in empires normaly. Pearl and Gem only remembers Gem due to her being in hermitcraft.
Memories on the empires side are very inconsistent. Gem and Pix seem more connected with the hermits Gem for being on the server and Pix for doing the hermitcraft reacap. Players like Scott, Sausage, Lizzie, Shelby, Joey and Kathrine don't remember the hermits or at least not to the extent of the others. The rest of the emperors have almost imedent recognision of the hermits. This can be explained by the different method of sevr hoping. The rift is almost a broken way of moving through servers a cheat created by Grian and Grumbot. It breaks some of the rules of our timeline because of the nature of the transfer.
A few other small servers are linked into the multiverse.
One is rats smp. One day on rats tommy as a flying rat came and traded with the rats a Jimmy sherrif toy made by Joel in empires season 2.
We can link area unknown as Chromia Scott traded with Owen. Scott on the area unknown server is also a demon from the nether and reverneced Xornoth and blood sheep multiple times.
Another smp we can link is Joey's one block server as many empires characters join the server as guest apperences.
There are probaly lots of other smps we could link into the multiverse but these are the main ones.

CreateCraft - A Made Up Server inspired by Hermitcraft and Grian Watcher Au's
I have been working on this idea for a few years now. I have never written anything like this before. I am just winging this and hoping someone likes it, to be honest
This world uses different aspects of Minecraft and ideas based on Grian's and Evo Smp Watchers.
I do not have set plot for this series, but this piece is kind of introducing some of lore to my made up Server. I might make a post explaining the different aspects of lore, but keep in mind that it may not happen or this will not stay cannon. I tend to change things a lot.
I would love some friendly, but informational criticism as well; I want to improve my writing and storytelling capabilities. This story won't be a stellar story, but I want to try to put something out there to get some pointers.
Total Words: 4,118
“Well, young children, what story would you like to hear next?” The soft voice of a dark-haired woman asked, a small group of children sitting around her feet as she sat on a stool that resembled a dark oak log. The children around her giggled excitedly, but none seemed to hear her as they talked among themselves. One child, rather quiet, tried to say something, but the other children drowned her out.
“Children,” The woman stated, her deep, forest-green eyes gently scanning the room, “ Children, please quiet down.” The children, one by one, slowly went quiet, and the young girl spoke again.
“Storyteller Lei, could you tell us about the Server War?” She shyly asked. Lei smiled slightly, before getting up. The children around her feet scrambled to move, and Lei walked over to a small, worn bookcase. Lei hummed quietly, thinking about how to approach the topic as she reached up and grabbed a worn book, pulling it from the shelf. A small cloud of dust wisped up from the shelf, and Lei knew she needed to dust the shelves soon,
“The Server War, hmm?” She murmured to herself, flipping through the yellowed, cracked pages in search of the chapter she needed; The faded, black text blurring with the movements. “Well, to understand why it was fought, you need to understand how it began, and the beings behind those very wars,” Lei spoke softly, stopping on the page and running her fingers down the old paper. Her aged hand felt the old, worn texture of the page as she read it, soaking in the information. The children waited quietly, looking up at Lei in awe as they sat on the floor. Lei closed the book, and replaced the book on the shelf, turning to address the silent children in the room.
“Once, a long time ago, the worlds far and wide were inhabited by five distinct races, each living in harmony with each other.” Lei began, crossing the room and sitting back on the log stool. The children crowded around her, a few of the children touching the hem of her dark green dress. Lei smiled softly down at the children; Young, curious eyes looking up at her with rapt attention as she spoke.
“The first race was the race of the Players and is often considered the largest race. Normal humans and human-like beings could manipulate the world around them, to create tools, and items, and gather needed materials to make structures beyond our imagination. They could mine and build, tame and conquer.” Lei leaned forward slightly, her hands making the motions to match the words she said, “These Players discovered Redstone, used Netherite as armor, and fought beings we, to this day,  don’t fully understand. Every human or human-like being to exist is descended from this race, their legacy thriving as we use their skills to further our survival.” Lei rested her hands on her aged knees, watching as the children looked at her in wonder, some smiling, some confused, but all were invested in the story.
“Soon, a group of these players discovered the very thing that creates the world.” Lei continued, “And a new race, most often called the Admins, occurred. The Admins are a race that can use the Code, the stuff that makes you and I, to help maintain the worlds that we live in. This allowed Players to travel to different worlds, Admins to create entirely new worlds, and further that communication of various people across thousands of these realms.”
Lei paused, taking a breath as she watched the children surrounding her. A few children were nodding off, their tired expressions causing a faint chuckle to leave her lips.
“Some of these Admins, however, had a change in their code from this marvelous discovery.” Lei continued, “They were gifted with unique abilities, each one unique to them alone. These beings created a new, powerful race of the Gods. These Gods very rarely have a new one join their ranks, for one has to be either born or made into a God. It is said that they guard secrets to the elements of the realms. Lady Death, the Blood God, Madam Storyteller, all normal players and admins that were turned into gods to play a role in our world. They help keep the elements in order, allowing us to live.” Lei smiled as some of the children lit up at the few gods she mentioned. Foren, a young boy of 5, particularly lit up at the mention of the Blood God.
“The emergence of the last two races has stumped many historians for years. No one knows where these two distinct races came from, how old they are, or where they originated from. Some believe they came from ancient times and created the worlds that we live in today. Others believe that these races were Admins that attempted to become gods, but instead were turned into these beings.” Lei paused, taking a breath. She stayed quiet for a moment, thinking about how to describe these beings to the young children.
“The fourth race to emerge is a race simply known as the Watchers. They were mysterious beings, masks or small, purple wings hid the entirety of their faces, markings that covered their skin, and big, purple wings the rest on their back, some only had one pair, and others had more. They wore robes of white or purple and tended to keep to themselves. They watched with invisible eyes; one watcher could view thousands of worlds and know exactly what was happening. They observed, and at one time, protected those different worlds.” Lei's voice faltered for a moment, her small feeling of dread catching her off guard.
“However, these Watchers were not always the kindest. Even though the Gods are well known to be mischievous, cruel, and vengeful, the Watchers could be worse when angered. Their magic was powerful, and they could wipe out entire servers with a flick of their hand. Everyone feared them.” Lei's voice cut out, a painful memory briefly passing through her head. The children looked up at her, concern on some of their faces. Lei swallowed, fighting down the feeling of dread and fear as it grew heavier in her chest.
“ The fifth race,” She continued, moving past the topic of the Watchers, “Was known as the Listeners. This race was elusive, hiding in the shadows or among the players to listen for anything they deemed important. Their ears were long, and it said they could hear the thoughts of anyone close to them. The bodies were thin, but not lanky, and had tails that allowed them to balance on the smallest things. They were the spies, keeping an eye on the well-being of the worlds and relaying the information to the other races.”
Lei noticed, out of the corner of her eye, a small movement from the corner of the room. She frowned slightly, realizing that there was someone, or something, listening in on the story from the shadows.
“Miss Lei?” Foren piped, raising his hand slightly.
“Yes, Foren?”
“Why did the war start? I don’t mind learning about - about the different races but Sonya asked a-a-about the war.” Foren spoke, a faint stutter coming up in his speech. The other children nodded as well, looking up at Lei with faint confusion in their eyes. Lei smiled gently at the children.
“I was getting to that, Foren.” Lei replied, “Some events that happened cannot be explained without explaining those that were involved. You may get confused if you do not know what they are.”
Foren nodded, and Sonya, the girl who had asked the war, wove her way through the crowd of children and sat down next the Lei on the floor, grabbing a small part of her dress as she looked up at Lei.
“The start of the war was unprecedented, but it wasn’t necessarily unexpected. The Watchers, a rather strict race, had experienced a rebellion with a small number of watchers who craved power over all races. This rebellion was promptly named the Hunters, a cruel part of this race that swore to completely control every race and rule the realms. The Listeners, ever silent about their affairs, were often falling victim to the Hunters, as well as any Watcher that opposed them.” Lei's voice faltered again, another memory flashing in her mind. She swallowed again, shaking her head slightly to remove the gruesome images from her head. “ The Admins and the Players stopped their conflicts to bring a neutral balance within the strife of the Watchers. However, this resulted in the discovery of the conversion of a Player to a Watcher, which only further the destruction the Hunters were causing.”
“ The Gods, however, could not stop this from happening. A strong, young, but cruel god had slowly started to build a following to overthrow Lady Death, who at one time ruled the gods. And unfortunately, he did. ” Lei suddenly paused, her eyebrows furrowing as the rest of the story faded from her mind suddenly. Lei got up, confusion mixing with the growing feeling of dread. She stood up, the children moving out of Lei’s way as she returned to the shelf, grabbing the worn book and flipping back to the page, her eyebrows furrowing as she read the page quickly.
“Why you stop?” A young girl asked, watching Lei read the old, worn pages again.
Lei smiled as she turned the page and found what she was looking for, “My memory of this event is hazy. I have always struggled with this story, too many events in a few years of war. Keeping track is…difficult.” She replied, her voice growing quiet as she closed the book, turning gently to address the children.
“B-but Storyteller Lei, you never forget stories!” Another child cried out, causing Lei to chuckle.
“Memory is a fickle thing, and not perfect. Even I struggle to remember things from time to time,” She simply replied, slowly returning to the log, the children moving as she passed. She sat down gently, the old book sitting in her lap.
“The new ruler of the gods began to abuse his power and turned many players into gods as a way to control them. One example of this is the story of the Storyteller.” Lei went quiet as the children started to whisper among themselves, some asking questions about who the Storyteller was, others wanting to know the tale. Lei hushed the children, bringing their attention back to her.
“The start of the war,” Lei started again, “began during a meeting with the leaders of each race. The meeting was designed to try a fix the growing issues in their race and between each other. Two leaders of each race showed up to the meeting. Naril and Madril, twins of the first Admins, represented the Admin race. Lord Matthew and Lady Athren represented the Player race. Watchers Azalia and Mondial represented their kind and Listeners Morrowin and Leia’nan arrived with whispers from the Void. The ones that represent God were Vamine and Lady Death herself.”
“The meeting was going well until the Watcher that led the Hunters, Xian, killed the Azalia and Mondial, sending the rest into panic as they slaughtered as many of the leaders as they could. The Admin leaders, Narail and Madril, were killed in their attempt to stop the rouge watcher, and  Athren lost their life when trying to escape. The leader of the Gods, Lady Death, tried to stop the rouge watcher but had failed, Vamine protected Lady Death as they escaped with Lord Matthew. The Listener Morrowin managed to tear one of Xian’s wings before being
extremely injured, Leia’nan grabbing Morrowin in time to get two of them out”. Lei grew silent, the atmosphere around her growing heavy with the children’s horrified silence.
Lei swallowed, a long-buried memory surging in her mind, catching her off guard. Her aged hands curled around the spine of the book, the memory playing out in clear detail.
“The actions of this watcher,” A new voice began, turning the attention to the newcomer, “Caused a long, bloody war that resulted in the Hunters taking complete control of the Watchers. The Listeners were forced to go into hiding in the shadows, moving closer the the Void to avoid detection. The gods experienced the rise of a tyrant, and the Admins and Players allied themselves to find a way to defeat the Hunters.”
The children got up, rushing to the newcomer and tugging her dark purple robes, all shouting in excitement. One child jumped up and accidentally tugged at the newcomer's long, auburn hair, resulting in a pained hiss coming out of her mouth as she gently pried her hair out of the children's hand.
“Headmistress Ranwin.” Lei greeted with a smile, a relieved feeling spreading through her body, before getting up and ushering some of the children off of Ranwin.
“Headmistress, you know about the Server War too?” Foren asked, staring up at Ranwin with wide, curious eyes.
Ranwin nodded, a faint smile graced her lips. “Of course. The Server War is something we all learn about at some point in our lives. Though I am curious,” Ranwin looked up at Lei, who had moved back to the bookshelf, gently replacing the old, worn book on the shelf.  ”Why were you talking about this topic to the children?”
Sonya raised her hand shyly, her eyes downcasted towards the soft green carpet.
“Yes, Sonya?” Ranwin asked gently, crouching down to be level with the children, her deep purple robes fanning out with the motion.
“I asked if she could… tell us about the Server War…” Sonya quietly stated.
Ranwin sighed, letting out a soft chuckle. Lei smiled gently at the scene, quietly moving over to the group gathered around Ranwin.
Ranwin smiled slightly, her hands resting on her knees.  “I came to let you know that there a cookies waiting for you in the cafeteria.”
The children rushed out of the room immediately, giggling and shouting as they went down the hall. The sound of pattering feet filled the hall but receded as the children went down the hallway. Ranwin stood back up, a soft smile on her face as she watched the children leave.
Lei went to follow the children but was stopped by Ranwin when her hand gently grabbed Lei’s forearm, her touch gentle but tentative.
“I need to speak with you,” Ranwin stated, before moving past Lei and walking into the
room. Lei sighed, moving to close the door. Lei’s hand gently gripped the old wood, closing the door with a soft thud. Thoughts swirled in her head, her thoughts drifting to what Ranwin would say as made her way to a dark-oak desk by a window, her footfalls making soft thuds.
“Something bothering you, my Friend?’ Lei asked gently, watching as  Ranwin sat down across from her. Lei noticed the worry swirling in Ranwin's emerald green eyes. And Lei couldn’t help but think that something was wrong.
“I have heard from the Committee, Lei,” Ranwin stated softly, and Lei watched as Ranwin’s eyes moved down, staring at the top of the desk.
Lei frowned, worry present on her face as her lips pulled into a slight frown. “The Committee has spoken? What did they say?” Lei asked softly.
Ranwin looked up at Lei, “They are proceeding to remove me as Headmistress due to the evidence from Mrs. Sanith and Ms. Litli.” Ranwin replied.
Lei hissed, anger presenting itself on her face. “You can’t be serious.” Lei spoke, anger lacing her tone, “That evidence was declared falsified and tampered with in the last trial.”
“They looked back at the evidence after Judge Lolen was replaced by Judge Forenli. Judge Forenli is siding with Mrs. Sanith and Ms. Litli.” Ranwin responded, her voice taking a professional edge.
“Judge Forenli? That is who they replaced Judge Lolen with despite knowing that he would side with Mrs. Sanith and Ms. Litli?” Lei questioned, her lips turning into a thin line with each word that left her mouth.
“Unfortunately so,” Ranwin replied.
The room fell into a tense quiet. Lei's thoughts ran through her head, panic and worry mixing as she thought through the possibilities of what could happen to Ranwin now that the motion was set into place.
“Who is replacing you?” Lei asked quietly, a twinge of fear seeping into her voice.
“Lady Histome,” Ranwin replies dryly.
Lei's eyes narrowed as disbelief flashed across her face. “Lady Tiana Histome?” Lei exclaimed, “The same person that nearly got half of the school killed?”
Ranwin nodded in response, her face grim. Lei stood up, slamming her hands on her desk in sheer anger. Her breathing was coming out in short heaves, as her hands curled on top of the desk. Ranwin had leaned away the best she could in the chair, her eyes blown wide.
“Tell me your lying. Please.” Lei quietly stated.
Ranwin shook her head, unable to form any words. Lei let out a strained breath at her response, her anger settling in her chest as stood there, her hand balled into fists on top of her desk.
“Lei, there is nothing I can do,” Ranwin said gently, tentatively. “I will leave as soon as Hitome is in charge.”
“And where will you go? You know damn well that the Watchers and the Gods are after you.” Lei snapped, standing tall and crossing her arms as she spoke. Ranwin went to speak, only to hesitate, her eyes drifting down onto the top of the dark oak desk.
“Ranwin, where are you going?” Lei asked, dread building in her chest
“I was invited, a few months ago, to a server called ‘CreateCraft’ by its admin,” Ranwin answered. “Mele had stated that I was welcome to join anytime.”
“Create Craft? Lead by the Ex-Watcher Mele?” Lei exclaimed, her eyes widening in shock. “Ranwin, you can’t be serious.”
“I am,” Ranwin responded, “Mele has created this server as a safe haven for those affected by that… twisted group of Watchers. If she can hid, surely -”
Lei cut her off, her voice filled with concern and contempt. “No. You can’t, Ranwin. You are being hunted down by several of the gods and the damn watchers. Even if Mele is not under the control of the Watchers currently, it is only a matter of time before she succumbs to their influence.” Lei stated, “ That puts you, and everyone else on that server, in absolute danger.”
Ranwin frowned, a flicker of hesitance appearing in her eyes. “Lei, I understand your concerns,” Ranwin started softly, “However, I cannot remain here if I am evicted. Yes, if Mele returns the way of the Watchers, then everyone on the server is screwed. However, CreateCraft may be the only place that can hide me from the others.”
Lei eyes bore into Ranwin, her eyes filled with simmering anger at Ranwin words. “You can’t be serious, Ran.” She comments, her arms crossing in front of her. “I am sure that we can find you a place here, it is to risky for you to travel that far. I bet I could -”
“No, Lei’nan.” Ranwin replied, her voice firm as her green eyes looked at Lei’s dark green eyes. “I need to leave this place. As much as it has protected me, the wards are weakening. It will not be safe here for much longer.”
“Ran…” Lei sighed in exasperation, her voice laced with concern.
“Lei. I know you are concerned.” Ran stated gently, “However, you and I know that I can evade the Hunters and the Watchers.”
“It is not just that, Ran. It is your magic that has me concerned.” Lei stated, the weight that was building in chest releasing as she finally stated what was bugging he.. “Your magic is strong enough that you even touch a Thread, it will alert them of your presence.” Worry seeped into Lei’s tone, her body stiffening as she catches another moment in the corner of her eye.
“On top of that, you know the Listeners are everywhere.” Lei continued, watching as Ran stiffened as well, though she knew that it was not because Ran saw the movement.
“In truth, I would rather deal with the Listeners then the Gods or Watchers.” Ran stated, her tone boarding harsh in her reply.
“Still, The Listeners could be on their side, Ran. Going beyond the wards is a huge risk. I am sure we can find a to stren-” Lei was caught off with Ran suddenly standing from her seat, her tall frame towering over Lei, her bright green eyes glaring down at her.
The room settled into a tense quiet, the only sound was the soft tick of the clock above the door. Lei stared at Ran, her lips in a thin line. Concern and worry bubbled in her stomach, many unreadable thoughts filling Lei’s head as she watched Ran turn from her and quickly left the room.
The door remained open, the old blue walls of the hallway present as the door swayed with a invisible wind. Lei slumped back into her chair, a sigh of frustration leaving her throat as she hand rubbed her forehead. Lei was struggling to comprehend what had just happened, the idea of Ran leaving the server concerning her.
Lei stood to go close the door when a thin, black tail shut it for her, a figure coming out of the shadow. The figure towered over her, his black hair poofy, his bangs just barely above his blue eyes. His elongated ears twitch, picking up sounds that Lei’s own ears can’t pick up. His pale skin stood out from the dark blue, leather jacket he wore, a black shirt peeking out of the bottom.
Her black jeans seemed to blend in with the shadows as his thin tail swished behind him, her bare feet standing on the plush carpet.
“Lei’nan.” The listener greeted softly, his eyes reflecting worry.
“Morrowin.” Lei replied stiffly, her eyes narrowing. “Why are you here?”
“I bring warning from the Leader.” Morrowin stated, his ears twitching with worry. Lei let out an exasperated sigh, rubbing the bridge of her nose.
“Morrowin, tell your leader that Ranwin has made up her mind.” Lei stated coldly, turning her back and returning to her dark oak desk, her hands placed on the top on it as she muttered under her breath.
Lei’s anger was still present, the feeling settling in her veins. Her arms and hands were trembling, the cool feeling of the desk not helping in the slightest to calm her down. Lei did not want to deal with Morrowin, not after the conversation she had with Ranwin.
“It is not that, Lei’nan. We both know that she would leave. It is more about her choice in leaving.” Morrowin spoke softly, his voice drifting on a invisible breeze. “The Void spoke to the leader, warning that Ranwin’s decision will cause a series of events that cannot be changed.”
Lei’nan’s blood went cold, her fingers gripping the edge of her desk. “What do you mean.” She stated harshly, her head turning to the side.
Lei could hear Morrowin swallow. “Ranwin’s decision will reawaken her powers, Lei’nan. The hunters and Watchers will tear apart server after server to find her and bring her back to Him.” Morrowin said softly, worry growing in his tone.
Lei let out a growl, whirling around to stare up at Morrowin. Anger flooded her body, her teeth barred at the Listener before her. “You speak of the Void that wants to watch the world burn, Morrowin. Your leader can be informed that whatever the Void says should not always be believed.”
“The Void does not lie, Lei’nan. You know that better then anyone.” Morrowin replied coldly. His eyes narrowed at Lei as he spoke, his tail stilling in its movements.
Lei stared at Morrowin coldly. “It does lie, Morrowin. I know it does.” Lei replied coldly, a faint growl lacing her voice.
Morrowin simply stared down at her, before slinking into the shadows, vanishing from sight.
Lei simply stood in the in middle of the room, glaring at the spot the listener was standing. Thousands of thoughts filled her head, a feeling of dread settling in her chest as she took a deep breath.
Lei though about what Morrowin had stated, her hand pressing against her chest as his words tumbled through her mind. If Ranwin powers do awaken with her departure, and if the Void is speaking the truth, then the Servers across the entirety of the universe is at risk.
The worst was is the Lei could not, can not, stop it from happening.

i am semi - overwhelmed by the amount of lore and frankly a wee bit confused but i kinda wanna join as i love this concept and your story is amazing...
Hey friend! Welcome aboard!
Don’t worry, I understand that it’s a LOT of lore to work your way through. Even if you start where the “Hello New People” recommends you begin, it still can seem pretty overwhelming.
Thankfully, I have three major pieces of advice that I think will help you both wrap your mind around the lore and get involved.
#1: Join the Discord!
There, you’ll find other people who are passionate about this AU who will help you get involved with the story through RPs, character discussions, QNA’s, and just general chatting about the AU.
While there’s a bit more chatter than usual due to the recent community fire, it’s normally a fairly chill server. @shamrockace @theshapeshifter100 @autumnleafauthor @marginmaster87 and others can vouch for the welcoming and non-intimidating atmosphere there compared to other servers.
#2: Ten Helpful Posts to Get Started
I know that not everyone has the ability or desire to join a discord server. If that’s the case, I can point you in the direction of a few specific posts (instead of masterlists) that will help give you some context to get you started:
The Timeline- Posted on December 12, 2018, this timeline is one of the first major posts I created about The Watch AU. All lore posts that followed were kinda built on the assumption that you had read that post, so 100% definitely read this first.
The Enemy’s Raids Part 7- I originally suggested that new people read through the “Bard’s Journal” masterlist to catch up from where the timeline above ends, but turns out, that’s a lot of posts! This post delivers the same information, without the filler.
The “Houses of The Watch” Tag- This is a tag I reserve for the original summaries of the Noble Houses that I created within days of the timeline linked above. Like the timeline, they assume you know almost nothing about the AU, because back then, there wasn’t any other lore! It also has a few very early asks that laid the foundation for the many, many lore posts about Duilintinn’s culture that exist on the blog today; I recommend you read those too.
The Three Main Character Creation Posts: In my opinion, reading introductory posts for characters that other people have made (found in the “Meet Your Watchers” tag or on the desktop-only “Watch Roster” page) is the best way to figure out how to make a character of your own, but if you prefer more specific instructions, these posts will help:
Basic Character Template
Tropes to Avoid
Getting Involved
In total, that’s about ten posts that will help get you started. Two for the timeline, five for each noble house (plus maybe five or so extra if you read the other stuff in the tag), and three for character creation. Hopefully that helps the lore seem a bit less overwhelming.
#3: Ask me questions!
Whether through asks, DMs, or discord, I’m always happy to talk about my AU, even if it’s questions I’ve already answered before. I barely need an excuse to mention this world I’ve built normally; please give me excuses to talk about it more and I will love you forever.
I hope that helps!
Thanks again, and Welcome to The Watch!
hehehe yes I got to use the line again it’s been so long

Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball Z Dragon Ball Super. Which is your favorite?
Oh, anon. You poor soul. You’ve activated my current obsession. Okay. I preface this by saying that DBZ, imo, is the CLASSIC. Frieza, Cell, and Buu? Iconic. DBZ is what I think of as the core of the DB franchise and I adore it accordingly. That being said… I’m really, really loving Dragon Ball Super.
(And I’m totally gonna tell you why because you made the mistake of starting this conversation in the first place :D)
I’m just? A sucker for lore filled with fallible gods?? This is my long-lived love of Greek mythology rearing its head. Even back in DBZ the Supreme Kai was instantly a favorite of mine. Yeah, yeah, the whole fandom rags on him for supposedly being “useless,” but that’s precisely why I love him? He starts out as this mysterious, incredibly powerful figure–powerful enough to scare the crap out of Piccolo–and then very quickly falls off that pedestal, making him relatable and humanized. Shin clearly has a shit ton of trauma from, you know, watching Buu kill and/or absorb his entire family. He’s been forced to take on a job meant for five and he definitely hasn’t been trained (or at least fully trained) for this particular position. He comes to Earth expecting to use mortals as a tool, as one would expect from a high-ranking god, and is just totally blindsided by how powerful they are. It’s an instant double-edged sword. On the one hand hell yeah defeating Buu just got a whole lot more likely. On the other hand, existential crisis much? Who am I–who are all the gods–if we’re not intrinsically more powerful, knowledgeable, or spiritually sturdier than the mortals we watch over? Goku, Vegeta, and especially Gohan upset the presumed hierarchy. It’s why we get such a good dichotomy between Shin and Kibito. Shin rolls with this new information and embraces it fully. Okay. Mortals are stronger than us in so many ways, how wonderful! We can learn from them and rely on them, forming equal partnerships to achieve our goals. Kibito is stuck in his assumptions. How dare you set foot on this world? How dare you think you can pull out the Z Sword? How dare you think yourself equal to a god?
Tumblr media
It’s a familiar theme for DB: humanizing the latest, all-powerful entity. And each new introduction becomes more extreme.
Kami was our original god… who got some awkward moments. Then King Kai is the top guy…who loves lame jokes and lets Goku tear up his sacred planet in the name of training. Then Shin, Supreme Kai of the whole damn universe… who is also an anxious bean Just Trying His Best. It’s a theme I love because it upholds humanity (or in this case Saiyans adopted by humanity) as beings of endless potential. DB is all about pushing past your limits, but that doesn’t just apply to physical power. It also ties into upending the status quo; showing those who think themselves arrogantly better–in this case the gods–that no, we all have worth here. When the chips fall it’s mortals who consistently manage what the gods cannot, reaching a point where, ki-wise at least, they’re indistinguishable from gods, raising the question of why they were ever above them in the first place. They’re not. We’re all on equal footing once those assumptions are acknowledged and done away with. Ancient Kais can like dirty magazines. Supreme Kais can have panic attacks. Destroyers can love pizza as much as the next, average anime watcher.
Tumblr media
Indeed, we see in the Tournament of Power that these rules now apply to Goku in his god state. He might have reached incredible power that everyone else thought impossible… but that doesn’t make the rest of the cast “below” him. It’s only because of his friends–presumably “useless” friends like Krillin and Tien–that allow him to enter the tournament and get as far as he did. It’s his old mentors who he has far outpaced that remind him he still has much to learn and who help Goku tap into Ultra Instinct in the first place. It’s a simple android we haven’t seen in years who manages to win the whole damn thing. The story consistently applies that same message of equality and worth to everyone, including our original paragon who has now reached the status of the very beings he’s worked to outpace. Rather than turning Goku into the hypocrite, DB keeps reminding him that no amount of power is going to change his or anyone else’s worth. He’s still BFFs with Krillin. Still married to Chi-Chi. Still needs other “weak” people like Bulma to help him when things get tough. No time machine, money, or strategic smarts? Sorry, no win.
In short, Dragon Ball Super takes that fantastic message and dials it up to 11. Now suddenly we’ve got a scary Destroyer God… who is easily swayed by tasty Earth food and a good nap spot. Angels who are equally humanized in their humor and love of mortal creations. An omnipotent ruler who is recognizably child-like. It both makes Zeno lovable and downright terrifying. He’s human enough to form friendships and use his power inappropriately. Zeno has the capacity to fall in love with a simple handshake as well as destroy an entire universe with the same detachment that we might, say, walk through an ant hill. Why did I do it? Because I could and no one has taught me yet that this might be something I shouldn’t do. Everyone has the capacity for growth.
youtube
And it’s so goddamn funny? Literally this scene is everything to me because it slams godly assumptions together with simplistic, mortal friendships, then lets that contrast play out. The most powerful being ever, creator of it all, the god that makes every other god shake in their boots wants… a friend? Okay! Our equally intimidating Grand Priest cracking up at this development? Whis losing his shit in the background? Shin straight up fainting? Goku pressing his shiny new god button because who DOESN’T press a button when you’re suddenly presented with one? All of it slays me. Forget stories where you endlessly bow before your supposed betters, knowing that you will never be able to even fathom their power. I want more stories like this, where the hero introduces enough kindness and brazen communication that it upends everyones’ expectations and fun, crazy new relationships form. Goku moved from utter shock at learning the Supreme Kai even existed to hoisting him over his shoulder like a drunk friend who is still refusing to head home. I love this weird-ass family.
Tumblr media
All of which of course introduces the opposite as well. What if we’re given Zamasu, a fallible god whose imperfections don’t result in him becoming another quirky family member, but lead him down a path that endangers the entire multiverse? Though Super hasn’t commented on it explicitly yet, we’re also starting to toy with the idea of exactly how “human” the top gods are and how much growth they are capable of. For example, I’m fascinated by the Grand Priest. The anime makes him out to be far darker than he is in the manga, and I know there’s a disconnect between the two, so I’m not currently inclined to think that he’s the end Big Bad. Rather, he seems to actually have a stronger moral sense than Zeno–he comments on how awful it is that mortals riot and kill one another after learning about the Tournament–but as Zeno’s subordinate, and being well aware of how easy it can be to displease him, he’s not in a good position to sway him. We see him introducing tiny bits of logic to the Zenos (like stopping the fight between Goku and Toppo in the anime), but that’s a far safer thing to suggest then, say, “How about we don’t erase a ton of universes at once, hmm?”
Tumblr media
Like his angel children, the Grand Priest ultimately exists to serve his Lord… but Goku and his friends are in no such position. Not as overtly, anyway. Created through evolution and developing their own ideals, they have the freedom to challenge and ultimately teach all those high-level gods, including Zeno. He says it himself in that clip: “No one will try. You can do what no one else can do!” Goku, both as a mortal and a very straight forward one, has the capacity to charge past those expectations and hit on something grand.
However, we see with Whis that, wow… maybe angels really are so far removed from us that they don’t care in any meaningful way. Whis seems like a friend, but when push came to shove he wasn’t very upset about his entire universe–and a Destroyer he’s known for who knows how many thousands of years–getting destroyed. We can attribute this apathy to him assuming it will all turn out alright (if anyone would realize that whoever wins can just use their wish to revert everything back to normal, it’s Whis), but even if he actually doesn’t care much right now… he’s learning too. Whis went from shrugging about Beerus destroying the Earth (at least he has his leftovers!) to telling Trunks and Mai how to break more time rules–rules Whis originally thought were more important than anything else–just so they could get a happy ending. We’ve seen him form a legitimate friendship with Bulma. He does little things like waving a Universe 7 flag and having them hold hands that demonstrate care, outside of practicalities (like delivering Bulla so Vegeta can fight). He seems more invested in challenging the status quo than his brother and even his brother, notably, slips up and uses “Father” instead of “Grand Priest,” demonstrating a certain level of familial love that can sometimes override pure duty.
Tumblr media
Vados copies Whis and sits with the Universe 7 team, shrugging off the other gods’ disgust. Whis then shows legit pride in Goku managing Ultra Instinct. It’s GREAT watching these beings move from seeing mortals as inconsequential specs in the multiverse to individuals worthy of their time, attention, and respect. We’re seeing that development with Whis most of all, slowly but surely.
And it helps that our protagonist is really worthy of that respect this arc. Beyond his innate capacity for kindness, Goku is wonderfully smart in Super. I myself have mentioned that being naive and battle obsessed to the point of endangering others is kind of his thing, but Super hits a wonderful middle ground. Goku is the one who thinks to use the future Zeno to destroy Zamasu. He figures out a good portion of Zamasu’s plan. He thought up the idea of using dead warriors in the Tournament of Power and instantly has a way of negating the danger Frieza would pose: let’s use Baba so he can only come back for 24 hours. The anime (strangely…) emphasizes how the Tournament is supposedly Goku’s fault, but Vados reminds everyone that Zeno planned to erase the universes regardless. Though he didn’t intend the outcome, Goku’s suggestion of a tournament gave all universes a fighting chance. Much more importantly, it introduced the reward that would ultimately save them all. Goku’s got a good head on his shoulders this time around and the story emphasizes that it’s his capacity to care that saves far more than his brute power. Sparing enemies leads to them turning over a new leaf. Cultivating a diverse family results in a team with the strength and strategy to win. The ability to look at anyone–even Zeno–and smile as you shake their hand results in allies who can save the day when your own strength fails. IT’S ABOUT LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP AND I’M A WEAK GOODY-GOODY.
I just… fucking love DBS. It takes all of the best underdog themes of the DB franchise–Can a low-class warrior become the best? Can a normal human woman gain the love of a prince? Can mortals ever stand side-by-side with gods?–and homes in on those questions, emphasizing them to an almost meta extent. I could give you another hundred reasons of exactly how much I’ve enjoyed these new stories… but I should stop now lol
Last note though Ultra Instinct is AWESOME

Random Survey
Found here: @question-meme
1. Name one of your favourite characters: Ellen Ripley (Alien). I would argue she’s the model for every strong female hero that came after her in cinema (or one of them. Jamie Lee Curtis’s Laurie Strode and Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor get honorable mentions). 2. Name one of your favourite villains: Glory (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). She really gave Buffy a run for her money, and in my opinion, she was an impossible villain to follow up. She was also an interesting foil to Buffy herself. Glory was powerful, put in a position she didn’t want to be in, and all she wanted was for things to get back to normal. She had an appreciation for fashion, kicking ass in style at all times. Her superficial attitude and quippy humor greatly resembled Buffy’s pre-calling personality. Glory was definitely a tough act to follow. Honorable mentions: Lucifer in Supernatural: 5.05 - “The End,” Paul Spector in The Fall, The werewolf in Silver Bullet. 3. One actor that you look up to and why: Keanu Reeves. Talented actor, badass, and from all accounts a very kind soul. 4. One actress that you look up to and why: Nicole Kidman. She’s intelligent, talented, and elegant. 5. Favourite episode from any show you watch (or just an episode you love): From a show I currently watch, Supernatural: 12.11 - “Regarding Dean.” This was a very good use of the supernatural as a metaphor, and Jensen Ackles delivered a heartbreaking performance of a man slowly succumbing to memory loss. From any show ever: One Tree Hill: 8.01 - “Asleep at Heaven’s Gate.” This show wasn’t afraid to experiment and throw in a risky episode here and there. This episode was not only well written, but beautifully acted and it delivered a jaw-dropping twist. This was one of those episodes that hopped genres, but did it so seamlessly I never noticed. 6. Favourite show and why? Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It was the first world I got lost in. I fell in love with the characters and the universe. I still am. 7. If you could live in any fictional universe which one would you live in? Harry Potter. I wanna go to Hogwarts. 8. Name 3 OTPs: Nathan and Haley (One Tree Hill), Buffy and Angel (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Rory and Jess (Gilmore Girls). 9. One character you have a crush on: Oz (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Honorable mentions: Derek Morgan (Criminal Minds), Charles Gunn (Angel the Series), Rick Grimes (The Walking Dead), Asa Farrell (Outsiders). 10. One of your favourite fandoms to be in and why: Outsiders. They’re such a dedicated, enthusiastic group, and I’ve never had anyone be unkind to me in that fandom. 11. Describe (insert show here) in three words: Penny Dreadful: Gothic, scary, sexy. 12. Favourite book: Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. Honorable mentions: The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson, Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. 13. One band that you love: Just one? Damn. Fleetwood Mac. My honorable mentions would be a mile long here, so I won’t do that to you, gentle reader. 14. Favourite cast: Friends. 15. If you were a fictional character in (insert show here) what would you probably be doing and what life do you think you would have? Angel the Series: I’d end up in Fred’s shoes. It’s totally me to open up a book, read from it aloud, and end up opening a portal to some ooky dimension. 16. Who do you think is a misunderstood character? Faith (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). She was a young woman in pain who didn’t get the help she needed. Then she made a mistake that condemned her but would not have condemned Buffy due to their differing histories/reputations. Sure, the murder spree was a bit much, but she could have been helped long before that if someone had just asked a few important questions. Like, maybe Giles. You know, the resident guy who’s supposed to watch the slayers. I’m not saying she’s blameless, but misunderstood for sure. 17. Which character do you wish you were siblings/best friends/dating with? Siblings: Rory Gilmore (Gilmore Girls), Best friends: Xander Harris (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Dating: Nathan Scott (One Tree Hill). 18. Which Hogwarts house are you in? I’ve gotten both Slytherin and Griffindor. It must depend on my mood. 19. What are three things you've learned from one of the shows you watch? From Stranger Things: 1) Friends don’t lie, 2) It’s never a bad time to add a new member to your party, 3) Never give up on the people you love, even when they’re lost in some weirdo alternate universe and everyone thinks they’re dead. 20. If you could be a writer for any show you wish, how might you develop the plot/characters? It would definitely depend on the show. I’d love to take a crack at Carnivale making it slightly more accessible as far as the lore went. 21. What's one of your favourite quotes from a show you watch? “I like the quiet.” Xander, Buffy the Vampire Slayer 22. Favourite type of AU? The kind featuring doppelgangers of beloved characters in the ultimate “what if” scenario.  23. Write a brief headcanon for one of your OTPs: Buffy and Angel (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Buffy is in her forties and has somewhat retired from active slaying, becoming more of a trainer and counselor for slayers and watchers. Angel becomes human. Suddenly Buffy’s a cougar dating a younger man and they have all kinds of jokes. Angel secretly loves being able to joke with her about how she’s getting older because it means she’s having a long and happy life, which she once thought would be impossible. Buffy has no idea this is why he jokes with her about it and gets super annoyed with him (“I’m NOT old! Hello? Which one of us has had a bicentennial again?”). 24. What's one show you don't watch but you're still in the fandom? Game of Thrones. I try once in a while to read the books. 25. Why do you love the shows you watch/books you read/fandoms you're in? All for different reasons. I like universes with rich settings or lore that I can study and sink my teeth into. I like well developed characters I can invest my time in. I like fandoms where we can debate our different theories and opinions without being lashed out at (which is a rare find nowadays).
