people on tumblr will literally post things like “you have to eat vegetables and expand your palate i dont care if you are a picky eater because of autism (if i can overcome it you can too)” and everybody will reblog it being like “yes this is true for everybody no matter what” and think its okay. like sorry but that wont work for everyone and there is no one size fits all and some people will never be able to eat these things no matter how hard they try. im only allowed by my doctors to eat recreationally and not for nutrition, because my ARFID is so severe that i get my nutrition solely from a specially made formula drink. your suggestions of “try vegetables roasted!” or “try them in soup!” and assurances of “i did it, you can too!” don’t work for those of us with more severe mental illnesses and disabilities. stop tying a person’s worth to their diet and stop assuming everybody has the ability to do what you can.

entertaining relatives was tiring. you’d never outwardly admit it but it was.

it’s not like it was your relatives’ fault, you loved them and it’s not like they were too prying (at least not to the point where it was clingy and uncomfortable), it’s just the fact that it required you to constantly either be readying snacks for the family, engaging in conversation, running to the store to grab some more things or take care of the younger kids.

it was tedious and although you felt this way, you’d never voice this to seungcheol, he could tell. and because of this you found yourself in the position you’re in right now.

“lie down on your stomach for me” he mumbled softly when he found you taking off your makeup after a long day of your relatives visiting.

“huh? why?” you were confused but made your way to the bed anyway to do what he asked.

once you were properly situated he made his way over too, his smile showing off his dimples as his legs straddled either side of you.

“don’t worry ‘m just gonna give you a little massage, you must be tired, no?” he spoke in a wispy tone as he started massaging your shoulder blades through your thin night shirt.

“thank you so much cheol” you sighed as he worked the knots in your back, the tension being relieved more and more each second, “i’ll do it for y-”

“no!” he pouted at you, “let me take care of you only don’t worry about me. you’re the one who had a long day”

you giggled at how he refused your offer so quickly, “you sure? promise i don’t mind”

he glared jokingly at you, he wishes you’d just let him spoil you without challenging anything but you never would.

the two of you stayed in silence for a few minutes, seungcheol continuing his work on your back and humming softly, the cozy ambiance making you want to fall sleepy real quick and making you shut your eyes.

when you stirred you looked at the clock and a half hour had passed, seungcheol was no longer massaging your back but still rubbed circles on it from his place next to you, tapping away at his phone.

after taking notice of your now awake self he smiled widely at you, his lovesick giggle meeting your ears as he moved closer to you, cupping your face and pecking your lips, laughing again at the dumbfounded look you had after not registering much from just waking up.
