Hello there! What software and brushes do you use for drawing? Brushes look familiar for me so I just curious :3

Hi 🤩 I mainly work with Procreate on iPad Pro with the basic brush set. That’s the short answer to give you the opportunity to zone out for the incoming bunch of an artist‘s love for their tools and special features (*Bad Batch Tech infodump mode inhale* ☝️🤓)

🖌️ The watercoloury outlines brush which I favor for my underrated clones artwork series is named Pine and the chalky, flat or often cloudy background color brush is named Oberon, both from the brush set ‚Zeichnen‘ (drawing) – I don‘t know the original brush names ☺️

🖋️ Clean, dynamical outlines and speedy shading (especially my beloved crosshatching for dopamining ✨) I love to do with a brush from the ‚Tinte’ (ink) brush set, the German name is ‚Tuschezeichner‘ what means technical pen, but for me that’s quite irritating, because it doesn‘t behave like the technical pens I use 😂

…why do they translate them at all 🤷🏽‍♀️ but maybe I use them not like others? Is that possible? Why do they translate some of them but not all of them… Eo, careful with your digressing sentiment bunnies lollopping in every possible direction…

☝️ The small divider is made with the Pine brush and the big divider is lined and hatched with Tuschezeichner and colored with Oberon ☺️

🎨 And last but absolutely not the least I use the Airbrush for soft and non-pattern or structural coloring, especially the lighting in the faces and the eyes coloring for gaining this deep glowy shine which is so important to me 🤩 big shiny eyes to make also the beholder‘s eyes shine! ✨

If you got until here thanks for reading and I want you to know that this unlocked some art self-reflection rambles in my brain I wasn’t aware having this in myself what I‘m very thankful for, but this will be some more text 😂

I don’t know if you’re really taking fandomy asks at the moment, but I’m just curious, what do you think Hob’s thoughts about/reaction to the moon landing would be? Like he’s seen a lot of incredible stuff over his life but like watching it happen, watching humans land on not quite another planet but like the MOON, even just for him discovering that it’s a big chunk of rock floating in the sky, that’s got to be so magical and especially given the fact that he’s a HUGE nerd

I mean, it makes ME cry every time I hear "one...small...step for man.... one giant leap... for mankind," and/or think about space in general, and I was born in the 20th century. For someone born in the FOURTEENTH century, yeah, uh, wow.

Since I had two separate tags in this, @spaceyjessa and @laughhardrunfastbekindsblog I decided I would make a separate post.

Last song:  with lyrics: Beautiful Boy by The Last Dinner Party (I found out about this band like two weeks ago and now I’m going through a phase I’m obsessed)

Without lyrics: I am ready by Kevin Kiner & Sean Kiner: from the bad batch season three soundtrack. Been listening to it a lot lately, as it feels pretty prevalent to the time of my life that I’m at

Favourite color: light pinks and baby blues

Last book/fic: the last book I finished was defy the storm, by Tessa Gratton (I’m getting closer and closer to being caught up on THR)

Fic: Mace Windu fixes the timeline (You should read it, it’s wonderful) 

Last movie: the rise of Skywalker (yes, I love the sequel trilogy and what about it 💅)

Last show: the bad batch... I’m re-watching, again... how predictable 🙄

Sweet/spicy/savory: I have a big sweet tooth, especially when it comes to chocolate

Relationship: single real life, but in love with countless fictional characters inside my head🤩

Last thing I googled: what does the quest cookies and cream protein bar taste like? (look, I have arfid. I can’t just buy new things to try without knowing exactly what I’m getting into first)

Current obsession: Star Wars, duh! Specifically clones and TBB, the Mandalorian and the high republic

I’m obsessed with the art in this series based on @astral-veil art ‘Echo while waiting for his prosthetics’ and the subsequent additions to the series by: @foxwithadarkside art and @eobe art

I was really inspired by @foxwithadarkside suggestion to add the next stage with Wrecker, but I’m definitely not including myself officially in this series because I will leave that to a much more competent and talented artist. This is just my little late night doodle attempt for my own sake.

You can kinda tell I gave up by the point I had to draw Hunter. Usually I find him the easiest to draw but not tonight. Nothing I do seems to make him look like the character so I am just ignoring him.

Your unique style of crosshatching is so comforting, so soul soothing, so satisfying and so magical <3 (And as always I can’t shut up about the way you crosshatch tattoos like Hunter’s..) You’re so skilled and talented, and it’s so much fun to see you grow and get more comfortable along the road! You’re such an inspiration to me and I look up to you as both an artist and a person! I picked Crosshair, because he‘s got the most uncommon clone face shape in my opinion and because he got to few friendly attention from my side in the last time (only fun attention, poor kitty Croissant actually not sorry) AND OF COURSE he jinxed it 🖤💀

While drawing I collected my thoughts, fails and drawing frustrations and I drew little funny extras so that it‘s possible to read decipher the notes despite the rush of the timelapse 😀 And I already thought yeah, this is getting a messy thing… 👀

… AND THEN my screen bugged and crashed my brush!! 😱😂 Aaahh sweet chaos! But great, I go for it, let’s look how far I get before my drawing device starts burning or something 🤷🏽‍♀️

Is making ‚Fun drawing process à la Eobe‘ a thing? 👀 I giggled and definitely had fun like a child playing and hope you have fun with my weird and quite ADHD coded timelapse too! 😂 And also I hope besides fun, it’s maybe a bit inspiring to try out (what was the original intention before I noticed that it’s getting chaotic 😅)

Aha, it changed a few days ago, when I figured it was time to spruce things up and also because sometimes you just want Ivan to stare at you grumpily. For reasons.

As to whether I am writing more Fivan: the answer is yes, kind of. The Empire of Bones (the KOS rework/original novel I have mentioned a few times) has a ship/set of characters that I think Fivan fans will both recognize and enjoy. Ahem. 👀👀👀👀👀

Congratulations Djo!!

Djo recently became No.1 on Spotify Global with End of Beginning and was awarded the BritCertified Silver Award with EoB as well!! 🎊

A huge congratulations and celebration for Djo. Words cannot describe how much I love this song, but I’ll try. ✍🏽

End of Beginning released September 16th 2022, a time where I was really struggling, two months after I was losing my ability to walk, my FND was getting gradually worse and it was before official diagnosis in November 2022. Funnily enough, was the 16th. I drew the initial pencil sketch on the airplane while listening to the song, how cool is that?? Haha

I’ve had a lot of thought and while listening to the song, I released I don’t have a ‘Chicago’. Instead of a place, it’s people. Versions of me that I was when I have had these friendships, relationships and passings with folks. Certain songs and my art that hold so many memories, that I can look back on and see how much I’ve changed, improved and grown.

Djo, your song, your music as a whole has really helped me out during such an incredibly difficult time and saved me more times than I can count.

I’ve been enjoying your interviews and listening to you talk about EoB but also the DECIDE album as a whole. Plus learning new things and getting to know more about you and your music has been delightful.

I’m so thankful and grateful I am able to listen to it and be alive to this day to see you grow as a music artist; to witness you do creative and passionate things. The things you love.

john mulaney delta airlines bit voice: so i call unitedhealthcare and i say can i pleaaaaase get my medication and they say NO! you’re not due for another refill yet!! and i go unitedhealthcare here’s my brand new prescription! and uhc goes NUH UHHH!!! you can only fill your prescription every 90 days! but we can give you a copy of your EOB! go, fetch! so i run and i get the copy of my EOB and also my most recent pill bottle which states a date more than 90 days ago and i go uhc now if you’ll just look here you’ll see that i am actually up for another refill and they spit on my shoes and go NO!!! and tell me to go kill myself which may very well happen going cold turkey here
