#I advise you to first look at each person's bio or ask the person how they would like or feel better to be called.

-POV: You had to change your bio and put only the pronoun “he/him” because you don’t like people calling you “she/her” all the time.
No, but being very honest now, I honestly don't like people always taking me to the "feminine" side, like, I know I look very feminine but that doesn't mean people have to always refer to myself with the pronoun "she/her".. I can draw myself with breasts, eyelashes and whatever you consider "feminine", but it doesn't mean anything that I like you always referring to me with that pronoun! And people also often get Mel Creator's pronoun wrong, like, in my situation I understand, but in his... The description itself says that he only refers to himself with the pronoun "he/him", so.. It's kinda difficult, you know..?

B.A.B.Y PROTOCOL.
Tumblr media
Part 2.
Avengers x fem!reader
Pt.1
Words: 1892
Synopsis: This takes place in Avengers: Age of Ultron. When The Avengers were at the rock bottom, Nick Fury and advised by Maria Hill, to initiate the B.A.B.Y Protocol. Will a young, damaged and broke girl agree to this initiative and help a team to save this planet earth?
Main Masterlist
Maria and Fury bring you to The Avengers tower for mission briefing and meet the rest of the team. To be honest, you are beyond excited you see the building. You move from your seat to another, looking out of the window, facing the tower. Maria looks at you at the rear view mirror, seeing your awe face and smile. “If you open that window, I might’ve mistaken you with a dog.” You ignore her comment and ask them “Is this S.H.I.E.L.D? You guys work here? You build this place papa Bear? This is taller than I thought it would be!”
Tumblr media
Fury look at you and then Maria “Now she’s excited.” Maria answer your question. “That is Avengers tower. S.H.I.E.L.D no longer exist. Burn to the ground.” You didn’t keep up about them after left the agency so you don’t know what happened. “What happened? Did this moody papa Bear show his emotion through action?” You let out a small laugh until Fury annoyed “Once again you call my name other than Fury, I’ll burn you too.” “Nahh, you’re not going to burn me. You need me. Otherwise, I’m not in this car right now. I said to him and Maria drive through the parking basement. “She got you, boss.”
Fury walk ahead to their meeting room. You stop your track when you see an aquarium placed at the wall. You never see something like that before in your life. When Maria realize that you are not walking behind her, she turns back to get you. “What are you doing?” “Looking at these fish in an aquarium stuck on the wall. How they do that? How they going to feed the fish? Rich people shit, quite awesome.” You said and Maria just shake her head. “We have a world crisis and the first thing you did is watch the fish?! Are you kidding me? Let’s go meat the team.”
Meanwhile Fury already told the team about a new protocol or whatever. You didn’t hear that clearly until you are inside the room. Fury talk to them. “Since all of you are here, including Maximoff, I have a new protocol that you can use.” Steve looking confusing at Fury. “We already made a plan.” Tony interrupt to teasing Steve “Yeah and a good ted talk by the captain too.” Natasha asking about the protocol. “Do we know about the protocol?” Fury take a seat “No, Romanoff. No one knows about this protocol except Agent Hill. This protocol was created to help the team when in need, and this team clearly need it right now.” Steve ask him. “What protocol is that?” Natasha looking at Clint and he shrug. “B.A.B.Y PROTOCOL.” Tony just laugh while Steve have a serious face looking at him. “I’m sorry. That’s kinda funny name for a protocol.” Maria open the door and you both going in. All eyes on you and you feeling slightly nervous. How can you not, they are The Avengers! You recognize all of their face except one person wearing black dress and red cardigan.
Fury introduce you to the team. “Right on time. Avengers, I introduce you B.A.B.Y PROTOCOL, as in Best Associate By Yours truly.” Maria added “Also, we call her Baby.” They are quiet and shock appear in their faces except two people. Natasha and Clint. They go greet you. “Baby!” Natasha walks to hug you while Tony look at you two weird. “Nat! Omg, I miss you. Clint! Miss you too!” You hug Clint and he hold your head. “Well, she grows up.” “Yeah, with some food and water, I did. Man, you’re old.” You said to him and Natasha smile “Kids growing, Barton.” “Natasha, beautiful as always. You have to drop your skin care routine, sis.” Tony interrupt the moment “You both knew her? Fury, you said no one know about this protocol.” Fury nods. “I said no one know about this protocol not that Romanoff and Barton didn’t know her.”
Steve starts asking question. “How old are you?” Tony interject again. “Yeah. You don’t look like a baby to me.”
Tumblr media
You looking back at Steve, smirk on your face. “How old are you?” Maria sign you to behave. “Baby.” Tony sit down at one of the chair. “I like this kid already!” He earns a glare from Steve and you apologizing “I’m sorry. That’s not a good first impression. I’m 22.”
“What is your name?” Damn he is a serious one.
             “People call me Baby.”
“What people didn’t call you?”
“If they didn’t call me? Silence, I guess.” You whisper at Natasha left ear “Can I not tell them my name?” She crooks a little smile. “It’s up to you.” “I prefer being call by that name that Maria & Fury has told you or anything you want except my real name due to personal reason.” You nod and smile at them.
“Why? Dark past? Major criminal? Wanted by CIA? Interpol? MI6? Ugly name? Kicked out of family or something?” Seriously, how can they work as a team with a guy name Tony Stark? Maria, Natasha and Clint have your back.
“She’s here to help us. Nothing else, Stark.” Maria said to him.
Natasha glare at him. “I suggest you stop right there or you’re not going to see any sunlight.”
Clint agree with them. “Leave her alone man.” Tony look guilty. “Everybody in this room has dark past. I’m just curious, not judging. She’s not alone.” Wanda tell them that he told the truth. “He’s not lying.” “Thank you Wendy. Peace?” You walking toward him “No heart feeling.” You guys fist bump each other.
Steve ask again. “How do you know Barton and Romanoff?”
“While I was in S.H.I.E.L.D Academy, which I thought a Juvenile school at first, they trained me combat espionage. Since that’s the only thing on my expertise. I wish to have Jemma Simmons and Leo Fitz brain though. They’re genius in bio-chem and engerneering.”
“Why you thought it was juvenile at first? You commit crime?”
“Duh.” Both you and Tony said it at the same time and again “JINX!” Natasha look at Steve. “Relax captain, all of us commit crime back then.” “I didn’t” Tony look at him. “Are you sure about that?” “What do you mean Stark?” Steve ask and he say “You literally cheated your medical checkup to join the army.” “I did it to protect our country.” Steve said and Clint chuckle “Still crime.” Fury tell Maria to handle the briefing and he’s out. You ask where is he going? “Where is he going?” “He have another thing to do Baby.”
“I know most of you but I don’t think I know or seen you, Mr. ?” You ask and Natasha introduce him. “That is Dr. Bruce Banner.”
You shake his hand. “Nice to meet you. What did you do?”
Bruce seems like to hesitate to answer that. “You didn’t know? New York?”
“Alien? Chitauri?” You ask him back innocently.
“Um. I’m, the big green guy.” He anxiously answers that.
“An ogre! Wow, that is so cool!” Clint hold my shoulder. “The other green, buddy.” “Oh, I know. I’m sorry, I forgot your ogre name is Shrek. Still cool though. I watch all of his movies when I was a kid. Maybe we can watch it again sometimes.”
Bruce look at Natasha and then back at you. “That’s, not me either, but yeah, we can watch that, big green cartoon sometimes.” Tony finally tell you who he is. “You seriously don’t remember who broke New York kid? He’s The Hulk!” Bruce looks down and tilt his head to look at Tony. “Yes. I’m that! Thank you for bringing back memory, Tony!”
You feel guilty for not remember that. “Gosh, I’m so sorry. But hey, New York already broken before you broke it. Can I have a selfie? You’re incredible.” You snap the picture before he even answers. Tony said something “I’m literally right here. The coolest guy in the group.” You turn your head to the girl in black dress, red cardigan. “And you are?”
She answers with a thick accent “Wanda Maximoff.”
“You’re not from here? You have an accent just like Nat. Well, once she’s mad at me during training years ago.” You remember the detail and Natasha rolls her eyes at you. “That is one time. I slipped.” “Human make mistakes sis. You aren’t machine.”
“I just got here yesterday. I made a mistake. Wrong judgement, I want to make it right. I join them.” She explains and you currently melting, just to hear he talk. You want her to talk more so you can hear her talk. Thing is, you didn’t know that she can read mind. Where is that accent came from? Russian? You ask those questions in your head. “From Sokovia.”
“Where are you from? What? I just ask-“
Maria answer my question. “She’s a telekinesis, energy manipulation and some kind of neuroelectric interfacing.” “Huh?” You don’t even know what that is and Maria make it simple for you. “Telepathic.” You turn to look back at her. “That is so awesome!” Tony huff at your statement. “Yeah, until she’s in your head.” She just looking down “I’m sorry.”
Right after she said that, Thor, God of Thunder walk into the room and tell about the scepter. You are amazed and suddenly you bend the knee. “Oh. My. God. You’re Thor!” He looks back at you. “and you tiny female human.” “You. Are. the God of Lightning! I am a fan! No. I’m an air-conditioner.” He smiling, feeling proud. “Thank you, tiny human lady. It’s God of Thunder, actually. What’s an air-conditioner?”
Maria gives us final brief. “You guys might want to prepare something for tomorrow. We’re flying to Korea and find Dr. Chow tomorrow morning. Get some rest, sleep early, you guys need it.”
You ask them a question. “Can I go back to my place, then come back? Clint can you take me?” “Yeah, I can.” Steve kind of not agree with you. “I don’t think that’s a good idea.” “Why? I need to take my stuff.” “I can pick her up tomorrow.” You and Clint said and Steve ask you again. “Do you have a suit? or uniform?” You unzip your sweater and show your Donut Do It uniform. “Will, this do? Because someone decided that it was okay to give a surprise visit when I’m on my way to work.” Maria just smirking at you and Natasha smile “I don’t think that appropriate gear for the field.”
Tony offers you to stay with them at the tower. “Captain’s right. Don’t want to risk anything on the team member night before fight. Stay here, I’ve got plenty of room. Natasha can show you. They basically live here. We have spare shirts too.” You look at Wanda “You live here too?” She’s thinking about the answer. “I spend the night here.” Natasha turn you to look at her. “That’s a good idea. Just stay here tonight. Wanda’s here too.” “Natasha can show you your room, take a shower and dinner later.” Tony said. You look at Maria by the mention of dinner. She sighs “Okay, spaghetti and chicken wings.” Natasha add “And caramel pudding?” You smile at her “You remember?!” “Of course I do.” Clint jokingly say “How can she not, you guys practically sisters.”

Coming Home
Tumblr media
Pairing: Leonard “Bones” McCoy x Reader. Other Characters: Captain Jim Kirk, Sulu, Uhura, Spock, Scotty, Nurse Chapel, Joanna McCoy and Jocelyn McCoy
Word Count: 6594
Warnings: A bit of angst as there usually is with exes, medical incident, topped off with fluff and a little implied smut.
Prompt: “Did you ever plan on telling me?”
Summary: Reader left Dr. McCoy and the Enterprise eight years ago for reasons unknown. Captain Kirk has decided to get her to come back, so he offers her a position in the ship’s Botany Department and Lab. How will her ex-boyfriend and CMO Dr. McCoy react to seeing her after all these years?
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
"Jim, I just don't think it's a good idea," you told him, shaking your head. Captain James T Kirk was in your apartment, trying to convince you to rejoin him on the USS Enterprise.
"Why not? It's been, what, eight years now? Surely he's forgiven you by now," Kirk replied.
"Even if he has, which I doubt, I haven't forgiven me yet. We haven't even spoken since I left. No, I can't come back, Jim. You need things to run smoothly on that ship of yours. I would only upset the applecart," you affirmed.
"Please? You're the best botanist in Starfleet, and we really need you. Sulu can bring you up to speed on all of his latest findings with the plants we've catalogued in the past few years. Besides, there are others who would be happy to see you return to the ship," Kirk pressed.
You bit your bottom lip in concentration. Jim could tell you were close to cracking under his persuasive argument. You missed your 'girl talk' sessions with Uhura, even though monthly subspace messages have kept you in touch. They just haven't been the same as being together in person. If you came back, you might even start a lively discussion with Spock on Vulcan vs. Human philosophy.
If you went back, you know Jim would make your return as smooth as possible. He was right, that others would be happy to see you again. However, there was at least one crew member that you were fairly certain would not share in everyone's enthusiasm at seeing you back on the Enterprise.
Dr. Leonard. McCoy.
The two of you had been in a relationship for about four years prior to your departure. You shared the same quarters, during which time you were blissfully happy and in love. Leonard was the light of your life, and you saw him in every scenario in your future. Marriage, family, retirement from active duty, maybe eventually a house somewhere.
All of that came crashing down the night of his daughter's birthday party, when Joanna was turning 13. Two weeks after it happened and without explanation, you left Leonard and the Enterprise.
You had no intention of ever returning to the ship. You were content in your teaching position at Starfleet HQ and to stay at home, maintaining your garden. That is, until a blonde-haired, blue-eyed captain came knocking on your door, asking you to come back.
"So?" Kirk asked.
"I'll need to pack a few things, make some arrangements," you sighed.
"Ship leaves here in five days, will that be enough time?" Kirk inquired.
"I suppose it'll have to be, won't it. You're not exactly leaving me with much choice," you retorted. "Don't worry, Jim. I'll be there, ready to assist you however I can," you promised. I just don't know if I'm ready to face him again, not after all these years that have gone by, you thought to yourself.
As if he heard you, Jim nudged your arm. "Maybe this is just the opportunity you two need, you know, to clear the air. Much as you may not think so, the two of you belong together," Jim concluded softly.
"I have a feeling that one way or another, the situation between Len and me will soon be resolved," you replied.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
When you re-materialized on the transporter pad, you were surprised to see so many of your friends waiting to welcome you back. Sulu, Chekhov, Scotty, Uhura and even Spock had made the trip down to Transporter Room #3, along with the captain to await your return. The only one absent was Dr. McCoy, but you didn't expect him to show up. Not willingly anyway.
You stepped down from the transporter pad and were immediately engulfed in Uhura's embrace. She rambled on about when the first 'girl talk' night should be while you traded hugs with Sulu and Chekhov.
"Hello, Commander. It is agreeable to see you again," Spock greeted you.
"It's nice to see you, too, Spock," you smiled as you pulled him into a hug before he could stop you. "Mr. Scott, always a delight," you gushed.
"Aye, lassie, it's good to have ye home again," Scotty beamed.
"Thank you. It's good to be--" your greeting was interrupted by the transporter room doors sliding open. The moment of truth had finally arrived, where the next few words spoken would set the tone for the time to come.
"God in Heaven," McCoy whispered. His mouth suddenly went dry at seeing you again after eight years. He could see that the years had been kind to you, because to him, you were even more beautiful than before. His heart did a mini-flip in his chest, but almost immediately afterwards, his brain and his memory re-engaged.
McCoy coughed and cleared his throat in an effort to regain his composure. "Commander," he said gruffly, nodding his head sharply at you. "Jim, a word please?" he asked, then turned and left the transporter room without sparing you a second glance. Tears sprang to your eyes but did not fall.
"Excuse me, everyone," Kirk replied. As he passed by you, he caught your hand and squeezed lightly. "Don't worry, remember what I said about opportunities?" he asked and you nodded. "Don't waste 'em," he said with a wink.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
"How could you do this, Jim? How could you allow her back on board after what happened between us? The woman I love broke my heart when she left me--the ship!" McCoy thundered.
"Well, Bones, let's start with the fact that we need someone to head the Botany Department and Lab, and she's the best. Then we'll fill in the middle with how I don't think either one of us knows exactly what happened to make her leave. And we'll end with, oh, because it's my ship, I'm the captain and if I say we need her, then she re-joins the crew," Kirk concluded.
"Fine. If that will be all, Captain?" McCoy replied, voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Yes, Bones, that will be all," Kirk responded. McCoy turned to leave when Kirk briefly called him back. "For what it's worth, you could look at this as an opportunity to clear the air between you. At least you'd know, once and for all why she left, instead of always assuming it's your fault."
McCoy mumbled something under his breath as he walked out of the captain's Ready Room. Kirk shook his head at his CMO's antics when it came to you. He knew the two of you still loved each other, and firmly believed that you belonged together.
Kirk wished he knew what happened all those years ago to make you think your only choice was to leave your family and the man you loved. Something told him that whatever it was, it was bound to come out into the open. Hopefully when it did and the dust settled, everything would return to some semblance of normal.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The first few weeks aboard ship were a bit awkward. You were trying to get used to a working schedule again, and on top of that, trying to avoid the CMO at every turn. It didn't help that you had mutual friends who didn't hesitate to offer their advice on how to resolve things. They all swore they only wanted what was best for you and the good doctor. However, only the two of you could decide what that looked like, and at least for now, that meant avoiding each other.
One day, you were in the lab, cataloguing plant samples gathered during an away mission to Taegus-3. You made sure your team was taking extra safety precautions when handling the samples. "Be careful around these plants, some may have thorns. We also don't know yet if they're poisonous, so for now, use the bio-suits and the thick rubber gloves."
You were walking through Station #2 where a member of your team was performing tests on one of the samples. The young ensign turned away from her station, while you made notes on your clipboard about the plant she was working with.
As you were asking her some questions about her work, you felt something snaking its way around your exposed forearm. By the time you realized what was happening, the plant had started to apply pressure to your now vine-wrapped arm. Sulu heard the commotion and rushed over with a knife, which he then used to cut the vine from your arm. The vine fell away, but left red burn marks in your arm wherever the vine had come into contact with the skin.
"You'd better head down to the MedBay and have someone take a look at that," Sulu advised.
You looked at Sulu like you'd rather have the vine back on your arm, squeezing the life out of it until it snapped off than deal with Dr. McCoy. Eventually you relented and left the lab to get yourself checked out in the MedBay. You only hoped that it was Dr. McCoy's day off, because you didn't think you could deal with him at the moment.
Unfortunately, luck was not to be on your side today. Nurse Chapel called for him as soon as she saw you walk in the door. She had you sit on the biobed and started to check your vital signs. While she was discussing them with Dr. McCoy, a wave of dizziness crashed over you. It was also getting harder to breathe, which was detected by the biobed and it started sending out alarms.
McCoy and Nurse Chapel came racing over to you. "Damn plant must give off some sort of toxin when it wraps around its victims. Hold on, sweetheart, stay with me. We'll get you taken care of, don't you worry," he soothed.
As comforting as his words were, you knew he was in 'doctor mode'. It came naturally to him to use soft terms like 'sweetheart' to put his patients at ease. You knew those words didn't hold any affection towards you anymore like they used to. Whatever feelings may have been implied towards you by his words were likely to be a thing of the past.
"Hold still now, we're going to give you something to counteract the toxin," McCoy explained. He attached a hypospray to your neck and pressed the button to release the medication. Almost immediately, your breathing became easier and the dizziness slowly dissipated. In the meantime, he took the opportunity to bandage the vein-like burns in your forearm.
Once your condition seemed to be stabilized, all you could think of was to get out of the MedBay and back to your quarters. You eased yourself down from the biobed and took a few tentative steps towards the door.
"Whoa, whoa, wait a minute, where do you think you're going?" McCoy demanded.
"Back to my quarters, Dr. McCoy. I thank you and Nurse Chapel for your assistance, but I can take care of myself from here. I hereby relieve you of your obligation to monitor my health any further," you retorted.
"I really don't think that's a good idea, sweetheart," he replied. "You could have a relapse, or develop a complication, or--" he started.
"DON'T. You don't get to call me 'sweetheart', or 'darlin', or anything that would indicate you remotely have any feelings of affection for me anymore," you shot back. Tears began prickling at your eyes, threatening to fall. "Ever since I got here, you've been avoiding me. In the mess hall, the rec area, even the turbolift for goodness' sake," you explained.
"Me?!? As far as I see it, Commander, it's been mutual avoidance. This is as much interaction as I've had with you since the day I saw you in Transporter Room #3. So, don't pin all of this on me," he snapped.
"I'm pretty sure you're not happy that I'm here, so I figured I'd stay out of your way as much as possible. To that end, I'm leaving and going back to my quarters," you informed him calmly.
"Yeah, that's right, I almost forgot. Leaving, that is what you do best, isn't it?" McCoy sneered.
You stopped walking towards the door, overcome by a sob too painful to hold in anymore. After taking a deep breath, you turned your tear-stained face to Dr. McCoy. "I suppose you're right. I've had that coming to me for the last eight years, haven't I?" you asked tearfully. You turned back towards the doors then left the MedBay and headed straight for your quarters.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
After you left, McCoy stood there, with his hands on his hips and shaking his head. He wondered how the situation with you ever got to this point. He remembered how much in love the two of you were, sharing quarters, intertwining lives. For him, you were his whole world, the one he saw his future unfolding with. You loved him despite his flaws and the fact that he constantly thought that he didn't deserve you.
Your mutual friends were rooting for you both, and Joanna loved you as well. The two of you got along well, no hint of jealousy from her when it came to spending time with her father. He remembered how flattered you were when Joanna had once asked for your advice on something.
Jocelyn didn't seem to like you, but then again, she didn't love much of anything to do with him, except Joanna. On more than a few occasions, he'd heard Jocelyn throw snide remarks your way. But as was your nature, you took the high road, and Leonard felt you had handled his ex-wife with grace.
Then came Joanna's birthday party. He'd seen you and Jocelyn talking about something, then when you left her, you looked a little shaken up. McCoy didn't think much of it at the time, but you seemed a little distracted after the encounter. He tried to get you to talk to him about it, however, you assured him that you were tired and just needed some rest to feel better.
Two weeks after the party, without any prior discussion, you had left the Enterprise for a teaching position. Just like that, you were gone from his life, but not remotely gone from his heart. He'd met other women over the past eight years, but none of them could ever hold a candle to you. And deep down, Leonard McCoy knew that no one else ever would.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Back in your quarters, you went straight for the bathroom to splash water on your face as a way to calm down. How dare he! you thought. You had stayed away from him because you thought that's what he wanted. After all it was you who left him. Even though in your mind you knew it was for a good reason, there were still at least two broken hearts at the end of it.
You suddenly remembered what day it was, so you finished drying off your face with a towel. Today was Joanna McCoy's birthday, and she was turning 21, an important milestone. You hoped she was available to take your call, but if not, you would leave a birthday message for her.
Despite no longer being together with her father, you still kept in touch with Joanna over the years. She was a ray of sunshine in Leonard's life, and in yours as well. The last you had heard, she was participating in Starfleet's medical program, thus following in her father's footsteps.
You opened up the comms to send your message request to Joanna. A minute or so later, your video screen lit up with her smiling face and frantic waving at the camera. "Happy Birthday, Joanna!" you grinned.
"Thank you! It's so good to hear from you," she exclaimed.
"I sure wish I could give you a hug for your birthday, sweetie. How's school going for you?" you asked.
She launched into a few tales from her classes, with you nodding and smiling. One of her stories had you busting out in laughter so hard that tears were coming out of your eyes. For the most part, she had achieved the right balance between school and having fun, not an easy task.
"Hey, so Uncle Jim told me you're back on the Enterprise, is that right?" Joanna asked.
"Yes, that's right. Your uncle visited me about six weeks ago and asked me to run the Botany Department and Lab. I wasn't sure about coming back, but he eventually wore me down," you gave a small smile.
"Has he....has Dad seen you? Have you talked to him?" she asked carefully.
You nodded. "I had to go to the MedBay today, due to an unfortunate encounter with a plant from Taegus-3. It wrapped around my arm and wouldn't let go. I had to get a hypo for an allergic reaction, and bandages for my arm. Your dad patched me up just right," you explained.
"Good. Um....I have to ask you something. Do you remember my 13th birthday party?" she inquired.
"Joanna....," you warned.
"Do you remember it?" she tried again. You nodded and she continued. "I know something happened there, because two weeks later, you and Dad weren't together anymore. Why? You two were so happy together, and then you left. What happened?" Joanna demanded.
"Something I can't talk about, Jo, but my leaving was for the best. The best for you and the best for your dad," you replied.
"Best?!? How could it be best for you and Dad to be without each other for this long? Didn't you love him anymore? Was it my mom? Did she say something to you at that party?" Joanna persisted.
At her question, you looked away, and you knew you'd only fueled her curiosity. "Of course I still love him. I told you Joanna, I can't talk about it. Please don't push me on this. Listen, sweetie, I have to go now, but I wanted to wish you a happy birthday. Take care, honey," you said.
"But---" was the last you'd heard of her voice before you terminated the connection. In the reflection of the view screen, you could see tears sliding down your face. You decided that you needed a drink, so you left your quarters and headed for the recreation area.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
"Well, well, well, who do we have here?" Captain Kirk said as he saw you sitting at the bar.
You groaned at his presence, only wanting to be left alone. "Oh, god, Jim. What are YOU doing here?" you retorted.
"I heard you got hurt and went to MedBay today. Then I went by your quarters to check on you, only to find out you're not there. Figured I'd get a drink, and here you are," he replied.
"Jim, don't take this pershonally," you slurred. "But I want to be left alone. M'kay? Been a rotten day and I'm jusht done," you remarked as you drained your glass and signaled for a refill.
"What happened today?" he persisted.
"You think that just because you have that perfect hair and those bright blue eyes that I'm just gonna spill my guts?" you asked. A smirk crossed his face as he waited expectantly. "Fine. I'll tell you, you insufferable man. I called Joanna McCoy today, since it's her 21st birthday," you started.
"Thanks for the reminder, I'll have to call her later," Kirk interjected.
"Anyway, the topic of conversation got around to her 13th birthday party. She asked me why her dad and I aren't together anymore," you explained, tears threatening again.
"What did you tell her?" Kirk asked.
"I told her the same thing I'm going to tell you. I can't talk about it, but I did what I thought was best for her and for Leonard," you replied. "Now, drop it, Jim," you warned.
"Sorry, no can do. Bones and I both saw Jocelyn talking to you at the party, then the rest of the night you seemed a little upset. Don't get me wrong, you put on a brave face. You fooled most everyone, but Leonard and I knew that something wasn't right. Look, it's been eight years. Don't you think it's time to spill the beans?" Kirk wondered.
"Jim, no good can come from this. Best just to let sleeping dogs lie," you said as you tried again to shut him down.
"Please, let me in. I can see how much this is hurting you, and I think Len finally deserves to know the truth. Don't you think so?" Kirk pleaded.
A few tears had slipped down your face, and you nodded, your resolve having broken at last. "It started when I was in the kitchen putting candles on Joanna's cake. I thought I would do that to make myself useful, help Jocelyn so it was one less thing she had to worry about. Wrong move, because she read me the riot act about how it's her job to do that and I should just back off," you said.
"Ungrateful b....please go on," he prompted.
"I apologized, but she refused to accept it. Instead, she gave me an ultimatum. I had to stop seeing Leonard or she would refuse to let him see Joanna. At first, I couldn't believe she was serious, but one look in her eyes and I knew she was. That's why I was so distant the rest of the night. I tried to put Leonard off by saying I was just tired, but I don't think he was convinced," you remarked.
"Why didn't you tell Len? Or me? We would've found a way to fight this," Kirk insisted.
"I know you would have, and I love you both for it. She said if I told anyone, her next stop was the courthouse. Don't you see? She held all the cards, and I had nothing," you explained.
"You didn't have 'nothing', you had Len and me," Kirk replied.
"Think about it. If I fought her, then she took Len to court and he lost, it's my fault. If I refused to stop seeing Leonard, she would not let him see his daughter. My fault again. Either way, Jim, Leonard and Joanna lose. I couldn't bear for that to happen, so I left. As much as I loved him, and still do, his relationship with his daughter is and always will be more important," you finished. Tears were now streaming unchecked down your face.
"Whoa. I knew she was a piece of work, but I didn't know exactly how much. Bones would be livid if he found out that Jocelyn is the reason you're not together," Kirk replied.
"And that's exactly why I didn't want to tell you. Jim, please, I'm begging you. Let this go," you implored as you slid off your barstool. Jim turned to you and pulled you into his comforting embrace. "I'm going to go sleep this off, okay? I'll be taking a sick day tomorrow," you added. "Goodnight, Jim."
"Goodnight," he called after you then returned his attention to his drink.
"Poor kid. Hate to see a pretty girl cry. So, knowing you, I'd bet that you have no intention of letting this go, do you, Captain?" Tony, the bartender, asked.
"Nope," he replied, downing the rest of his drink. "I gotta find a way to make this right if it's the last thing I do. Thanks, Tony," he said before leaving to go to his quarters. Once there, he opened a comms channel to send a message to his niece. The video screen popped up with Joanna's picture.
"Uncle Jim!! So great to see you," she gushed.
"Happy Birthday, honey. Listen, I know about a conversation you had earlier, that involved a certain someone and your dad," Kirk remarked. "I finally got her to tell me what happened at your birthday party."
"She told me she couldn't tell me, but she could tell you?" Joanna asked angrily.
"Hold on there, sweetie. In her defense, she'd had a lot to drink by the time I caught up with her," Kirk explained.
"Oh. Well, I asked Mom about it, but she wouldn't tell me either. Please tell me what happened, I want to know," Joanna begged.
"Sure thing, kiddo. Then we're going to brainstorm on how to get the two of them back together," Kirk winked.
"Ooh yay! So, tell me," she persisted.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Dr. McCoy trudged into his quarters and sat down on the couch. He grabbed a communication tablet and sent a signal to his daughter, to wish her a happy birthday. Unfortunately, Jocelyn picked up the tablet and answered.
"Joanna's busy right now, Leonard. Call her back later," Jocelyn replied curtly as she moved to disconnect the call.
"Wait, Jocelyn! Will you please let her know that I called to wish her a happy birthday?" McCoy asked.
"Your girlfriend already called earlier and spoke to Joanna. I just assumed you were in the room at the time," Jocelyn remarked.
"What girlfriend? I don't know what you're talking about," McCoy replied. He was starting to get an uneasy feeling the more he talked to his ex-wife.
Jocelyn made a tsking sound of disgust. "The same one that was here on Joanna's 13th--" she broke off and a smug smile crossed her face. "Never mind. I guess she took my advice then."
McCoy's face drained of color. "And just what advice was that? It's been eight years, Jocelyn, you'll have to refresh my memory," he retorted.
"What difference does it make? She must not have been as devoted to you as you were to her. She left you, therefore, you got to keep seeing your daughter," Jocelyn shot back.
The pieces started to come together in McCoy's mind, and it was showing him a pretty ugly picture. "You threatened her. Didn't you?" he seethed. "Why, Jocelyn? What has she ever done to you?" he demanded.
"Joanna called her 'Mom', that's what!" Jocelyn exclaimed. "When Joanna came home from that week-long vacation with the two of you, she was telling me about how much fun she'd had. She slipped and referred to your girlfriend as 'Mom'. I am her mother! I will not be replaced by some flavor-of-the-month!" she shrieked.
"ENOUGH, MOM!" Joanna's voice came through clearly. "Hi, Dad," she greeted McCoy.
"Hiya, pumpkin," he drawled. "Happy Birthday, sweetheart," he replied softly. "Did you know about this?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at his daughter.
"Dad, nobody knew anything about it until she told Uncle Jim tonight. And he said that it was only after a lot of alcohol that she would even tell him. She's kept this horrible secret for all this time, because she wanted you to be happy and able to keep visiting me. She still loves you, Dad, I know she does. Please tell me you still love her," Joanna pleaded.
McCoy turned his face away from the view screen, but not before his daughter caught a glimpse of his watery eyes. "I never stopped loving her, Jo. Not even when she left. I was angry and hurt, but....yes, I still love her," he declared, his voice thick with emotion.
"Then you know what you have to do, Daddy. Go tell her," Joanna whispered the last part. "Consider it my birthday present," she grinned mischievously. "I love you."
"You got it, sweetheart. I'll let you know how it goes. Later, though," McCoy promised with a grin of his own. "I love you," he told her before the call disconnected.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The view screen clicked off, while McCoy digested all of the information he'd just been given. All these years, he mused. The two of you could've been happy together, maybe even engaged or married. Instead, his ex-wife and her jealousy got in the way of that with her threats of denying him visitation rights.
He'd been so wrapped up in his own emotions since you've been back, that he hadn't stopped to consider how you may be feeling. He had been convinced that the reason you left was because you didn't love him anymore. Now he knew that the exact opposite was true. You loved him so much that you sacrificed your own happiness with him so he could continue to see his daughter.
Leonard knew that he had to make things right between you. It couldn't have been easy to come back to work on the Enterprise, knowing at any moment you could run into each other. But, you pushed those feelings and worries aside to help Jim by running the Botany Department and Lab.
He had to admit, it's been awkward since you've been back. He didn't expect the old feelings of love to come rushing back at the first sight of you that day in Transporter Room #3. As much as your leaving had hurt him and the radio silence throughout the years, he still loved you. And now, he grinned to himself, it was time to do something about it.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
You left the rec area and had gone back to your quarters for the night. When you got back, you changed out of your uniform and put on your pink plaid pajama pants and an oversized T-shirt. You made sure it was short-sleeved because of the bandages on your arm from the Strangling Vine Incident earlier in the day. After grabbing a glass of water and two pain meds, you settled into place on the couch. "Computer, illumination at 30% please," you requested.
What a day. First you were attacked by an alien vine, forcing you to get checked out in the MedBay by your ex-boyfriend and CMO. Later, you couldn't even find peace in the rec area. The CMO's best friend and captain of the ship kept hounding you about something that took place eight years ago. You'd told him to drop it, but he refused until you spilled that horrible secret.
Now Jim knows, but knowing about it didn't change anything. No matter how much you still loved him, Leonard surely didn't love you anymore. He'd made that quite clear today with his parting remark as you left the MedBay. You continued to sip at your water, each tilt of the glass with a shakier hand than before.
Off in the distance you heard your door chime, indicating someone at your door. "Come in," you called. You were shocked to see Dr. McCoy walk in. "Excuse me for asking, Doctor, but what the hell are you doing here?" you demanded, arms crossed over your chest.
His eyes locked with yours and you almost gave in to the softness you thought you saw, but you stood your ground. He cleared his throat before speaking. "I'm here to check your bandages. You left the MedBay so quickly, I wanted to make sure that the wound was still covered," he explained.
You rolled your eyes. "Really, Doctor? Is that the best excuse you could come up with? You didn't even bring your medkit, and I really don't have time for this. Goodnight, Dr. McCoy," you retorted.
"Now wait just a minute. As Chief Medical Officer, I am responsible for the health and safety of all crew members. I can see right now that you look a little flushed, which could mean a fever and possibly an infection. Just a quick exam. It'll be painless, I promise," he pleaded, his hands raised.
You arched an eyebrow in skepticism but finally relented. "Fine. A quick exam, then I'm going to bed and you can see yourself out," you muttered.
He stood in front of you, first looking at the bandaged arm, then sliding his hands up your arms to rest on your shoulders. He peered into your eyes and could see how bloodshot they were, probably from the tears you'd been shedding lately. He checked the lymph nodes on your neck to see if they were swollen, but they were fine.
He patted down his uniform, checking his pockets. "Hmm. I don't have a tricorder with me, so I'll have to check your temp the old fashioned way," he remarked. Before you could utter a word, his lips meshed with your forehead.
The second his soft lips touched your skin, something inside you fluttered. You closed your eyes and gave a sigh of contentment before you could stop yourself. "Doctor....," you whispered.
"Shh. Still checkin' your temp, darlin'. And it's Leonard, by the way. You used to call me that, remember?" he murmured against your skin.
Your eyes flew open and you stepped back. "Wait a minute. Why are you really here?" you asked.
"I already told you, to check your bandages. Besides, I want to apologize for what happened earlier in the MedBay, as you were walking out. I shouldn't have said that," McCoy started.
You backed further away from him as the realization sunk in. "Oh no, no, no, you've been talking to Jim, haven't you?" you replied. "I told him to drop it, that no good can come from dredging up something that happened eight years ago. Dammit, does that man ever listen?" you ranted, pacing the floor.
"Hold on there for a minute, sweetheart. I didn't talk to Jim, I called Joanna to wish her a happy birthday. Jocelyn picked up because Joanna was busy. Jocelyn was the one who admitted what happened, not Jim," McCoy explained.
"Leonard, I'm so sorry about what happened all those years ago. I truly thought I was doing the right thing by leaving. But all I've done is cause tremendous heartache for the people I love," you admitted, breaking down into tears yet again.
McCoy walked over and put his arms around you, holding you close to his chest. His hand came up and stroked the back of your head. "Shh, it’s okay, darlin'. I just wish I had known about it then. You never should've had to shoulder that burden all by yourself. Did you ever plan on telling me?" he asked.
You leaned back just far enough to lock eyes with him. "I couldn't, Len. Jocelyn said if I did, she would take you to court and fix it so you couldn't see Joanna at all. I know that custody hearings can go either way, and there's no way I could take the chance that you might lose. So I thought my only option was to step aside. I'd rather have you hate me but keep visitation rights for your daughter, than to love me and not have her," you said as you broke down again.
"Oh, Sugar, I could never hate you," he replied softly, brushing your cheek with the back of his hand. "When I found out that you left, I was so angry and hurt. Mostly because you'd made a decision alone that affected both of us. But when you came back and I saw you on that transporter pad all those weeks ago, I thought I had a second chance. Probably screwed that up too, though, haven't I?" he chuckled and so did you.
"Nah. You haven't done anything of the sort. I have missed you so much. After enough time had gone by, I thought about reaching out to you. Then I figured that too much time had gone by and you'd be with someone else. Which would've been fine, as long as you were happy, that's all that would matter to me," you remarked.
"Well, I haven't exactly been living like a monk, you know. I've met other women over the years, but none of them compared to you and no one ever will, either. Which is good, because I don't want any pale imitations or substitutions. I only want the real thing," he admitted just before crashing his lips into yours.
You felt the depth of his emotion poured into that first kiss and returned it with equal fervor. The apologies, the regrets, the longing for each other you still had after all these years. And the love you'd been keeping hidden from each other but never fully let show until now.
"Oh, my love," you whispered. "I've missed you so much, Leonard," you replied hoarsely.
"I've missed you too. I love you so much, Sugar. Can we please agree to not ever be separated like that again? I don't think my heart can take another minute without you," he remarked.
"Mine either. No more separations like that, because with you is where I belong. I love you, Len," you declared. You ran your hands up his arms and cradled his neck between them. Your fingers slid through his jet-black hair, smirking as you teased the short hairs at the base of his collar.
"Oh, there's my naughty girl, I wondered where she'd gone," McCoy growled playfully as he tightened his embrace.
"She's been right here, all along. Just waiting for the right time to come home," you replied softly, then tugged him closer for another kiss.
This kiss was different than before. This one was slow, sensuous and held the promise of a new beginning. As your mouths moved against each other, there was just enough of an opening between you for Leonard's tongue to slip through. He took full advantage of the opportunity, and when your tongues met, a moan of pleasure escaped from you.
Leonard's hands roamed up and down your back as he nudged his way to your neck. "Darlin', you're so beautiful," he murmured against your skin. He left a few open-mouthed kisses on your collarbone, nipping as he went and ultimately leaving his mark on you for all to see.
Layers of clothing were shed one by one. Little by little, Leonard nudged you backwards until the back of your knees hit the bed. You climbed up onto the mattress, crawling until you reached the middle where he soon joined you and leaned down to kiss you.
His hands and mouth took their time in worshiping every inch of your exposed skin, as if re-committing it to memory. Your mouth and hands were doing the same, reacquainting yourself with every muscle, every detail of his exquisite bare body.
The silence of your room was punctuated with breathy words of affection and moans of ecstasy from the two of you. Layers of passion were built higher and higher as you both chased your release. Finally, you both tumbled over the edge, one after the other, each whispering declarations of love.
Later, after you both got cleaned up, Leonard came back to bed and settled under the covers with you. He wrapped his arm around you so that your head rested on his chest. You could hear his steady heartbeat, which brought out a sigh of contentment from you.
"Len?" you whispered. He hummed in response, drawing random patterns on your shoulder. "Is this okay? I mean, what just happened, I don't want this to be a one-time thing. I'd like us to try again. I-If that's what you want," you hastily added.
He shifted so that he was propped up on his side, looking down at you. His hand cupped your face, while his thumb caressed your cheek. "Sweetheart, I've wanted that ever since you set foot back on this ship. I may be a little late in sayin' so, but I never stopped lovin' you. If you'll have me, I would love to try being us again," he replied softly.
"I would love that very much," you answered. "I love you, Leonard."
"I love you too, darlin'. Welcome home," he whispered, pulling you in for a long, slow kiss.

Bölüm 45 asks
Plus a few asks from 44, and one about the fragman for 46
Read more under the cut
Anonymous asked: I cannot believe that Ayse revived the "Kemal is Serkan's real father" theory but I think I'm down for it? At least now Kiraz has one decent grandparent and he seems like genuinely nice man. I've been wishing for him to have some scenes with Serkan because the way they set up this S2 plot, they could relate to one another and I was sad to see that he spent 5 years hiding instead
I'm down for this plot! See, now that I know they're doing the long-lost-father plot, it makes all the sense in the world why Serkan doesn't like Kemal and they didn't forge a relationship in the last five years. If they had, then finding out he's his dad would have been a lot less jarring and dramatic. Finding out now and then forging the relationship I think will be a bit more meaty story so it works for me.
To me this story works on a lot of levels, and makes sense with who Serkan is and his very strained relationship with Alptekin. It's like Alptekin sensed it, and resented Serkan his whole life. For those worried that Serkan will no longer have the last name Bolat, I'm not sure where that's coming from. Maybe I'm just not familiar with other cultures, but that is his name, Alptekin raised him, adults don't just up and change their name because of genetics. If you're adopted and you meet your bio dad as an adult, you don't change your name to your bio dad's.
Serkan's name is very much a part of his identity. Which is why this story has so much potential, because it could shake Serkan to his very core to find out who he thought he was, was wrong. He thought he was unlovable, most importantly maybe he'll finally realize there was more at play there and it wasn't at fault.
Anonymous asked: There were a couple things in the last episode that didn't sit well with me. 1. I can't believe Eda made Serkan sleep outside at night and didn't feel bad in the morning when she realized he got sick! 2. The way Seyfi announced Aydan and Kemal's secret relationship. It wasn't his secret to tell, though Aydan did deserve the way everyone reacted. So I got over that pretty quick. 3. Burak!!! He's not the one for Melo. She deserves better and if they end up together in the end, I'm gonna protest.
1. Unless you're going to put the same energy into not believing that Serkan had the gal to remove his bed on the floor as a way to maneuver himself into Eda's bed before she was ready, I really can't relate. It was done for comedy, my advice is to unclench and just giggle along.
2. Or you could look at it as being unfair of Aydan to burden Seyfi with that secret and require he lie to his other employer for five years. I mean I don't disagree that it wasn't his secret to tell, but Aydan had plenty of chances, and it was time for it to come out.
3. This one we are in 100% agreement about. MELO DESERVES BETTER. I will die on this hill.
Anonymous asked: Hi! Do you think Serkan actually believes in Kerem's abilities (he trusts Eda's faith in Kerem) or is this part of his plan to win Eda back? Either way I'm okay, just wondering what you think.
No, I do not think he gained a sudden belief in Kerem's abilities, but I do think he believes in Eda. And if Eda believes in Kerem then when push comes to shove that is enough for Serkan. Of course, he did it as part of his plan to win Eda back. Serkan is taking every opportunity to let Eda know that he respects her and believes in her and I think this was another example of that. There was also an aspect of him trying to win over another person in Eda's circle who was suspicious of him. The fewer people he has working against him, the better! He knows he has no shot with Burak or Ayfer, so this episode he worked on Melo and Kerem. But mostly it was him trying to make Eda's life easier, by smoothing over a personnel problem she was having, thus making working out of Art Life a more attractive option for her. All of those things in one!
Anonymous asked: What do you think about Eda and Piril's friendship? This episode really highlighted how close they've gotten.
Yes, they have gotten close, and I'm happy Eda has a friend, but at the same time I don't trust Piril. This is a woman who discarded Eda and embraced Selin when she was manipulating and abusing a brain-damaged Serkan.
Eda might be able to forget, but I can't. Also as a character she's just boring, rigid and humorless. One of my least favorites on screen.
That being said I do like the triad dynamic of Kiraz/Can, Serkan/Engin, and Eda/Piril, it was fun when they were calling each other at the same time.
Anonymous asked: Idk if they reached out to Maya just because she looked like Hande considering she had no acting experience, but this little girl is like the best casting I've seen. The chemistry with Hande and Kerem is amazing. She's so expressive. I am a Kiraz stan.
She's doing a fantastic job, precious thing! I have no idea how they found her, I know she was an instagram model, but the SCK casting director strikes again. This season doesn't work if we don't fall in love with Kiraz. Thankfully, we did!
Anonymous asked: Hi! Since it seems that we will have 13 episodes, do you think that Edser reconciliation/wedding will be left for the finale, 12-13 ep? Cause Ayse loves to drag and keep them apart.
I think the wedding might be closer to the end, but I think reconciliation will be a bit sooner than that.
However, I have to say that it's really not like they're apart.. is it? I mean this episode we had them living together, sort of casually planning their future together. Next episode we have them pretending to be married and ramping up the sexual tension to white-hot-sun levels, these are all good things. With episodes like this, I don't personally consider the show dragging it out.
In fandom I see a lot of peeps upset because Eda isn't getting immediately back with Serkan and I am feeling inpatient as well, do you think the writers are making a mistake keeping them apart?
Again, I guess my response to you is, by what definition was this episode "keeping them apart?"
Yes, they aren't having sex, but they are living together, working together, raising their daughter together, and I'm a-okay with having a couple of delicious episodes of that while they are still not fully back together romantically. Let's be real, they're still waking up in bed together, flirting, and having a romantic dinner together, so it's not like things aren't moving forward, they are. I'd advise putting aside your impatience, and just sit back, relax, and let the story take its course. There is no need to be anxious with this one. They are going to end up with their happily ever after together, but what we're seeing right now is delightful. It's them in family and domestic situations, them with their child. Most shippers only dream of getting to see this.
This sort of goes back to my stance on episodes 16-24, I know that was a frustrating time for a lot of fans because they were "broken up" but I've always said they may have been officially broken up, but they were in a committed relationship that entire time. And I enjoyed those episodes from that perspective, that tension of them being "apart" but still functioning as a unit and still being emotionally tied together underneath it all. There's kind of a similar situation here, they aren't officially back together, Eda is resisting him, but they are in a committed relationship and I don't understand what the need is to rush through this part? Enjoy the sexual tension of them living together, but not sleeping together. Enjoy the rom com romp of Serkan trying to get in her bed, and Eda taking steps to keep him out. Enjoy their daughter putting them in situations that force them into close proximity, and enjoy them falling into easy compatibility without even trying. Enjoy Serkan planning romantic dinners, and Eda enjoying it despite her every effort to protect her heart.
To me this is very good stuff, and spending this time being impatient and wanting what didn't happen yet, instead of enjoying what did happen is pretty much the recipe for unhappiness not just with this show, but life.
Anonymous asked: i feel like i've seen the exact same frustrations ppl have had with eda right now back around the 20s too after serkan told her about her parents' secret. it was like, now that he's told her the truth, she should automatically forgive him and get back together. same thing happening here, with him accepting his role as kiraz's father. it feels like the same impatience that's put on eda to just forgive him already bc everyone wants happy edser and she's in the way lol.. like girl needs time!
Agreed, and it makes me wonder if these folks have ever watched television before, lmao. Patience! There's a story unfolding and from the first 6 episodes it's clear they have a season long arc planned. All in due time.
Eda spent five years thinking that Serkan stopped loving her, and discarded her for work. The second time he used that excuse to break her heart. My goodness, it's more than okay if she needs a little time to adjust and learn how to trust him again. PLUS that means we get to watch him work on her, try to make inroads, romance her, forge a relationship with his daughter and earn Eda's trust back. What's bad in that?
What did you think of the fragman? It's kind of dumb and unrealistic that they have to dance for a school admission interview.
LMAO. Yes, yes it is, but my question to you is, sana ne?
I mean why do you care if the set up is dumb or not? Or if it's realistic? It's a device to get Serkan and Eda to pretend to be married before they're fully back together and an excuse for us to see Edser smash themselves together in a sensual tangle of limbs while they pretend to be unaffected, while both are being engulfed in USTy flames.
I'm not complaining, why are you?
Come on, this show is silly, it has been from day one, enjoy the fact that we are getting silly plots that force our couple into hilarious and hot situations, because Hande and Kerem are going to give us gold, I guarantee it and I'm going to smile through every second watching it.
xxxxxxxxxx
These asks are from episode 44, they came in and I didn't have time to answer before 45 aired:
Anonymous asked: Do you think there is a point when there are too many “parallels” and it becomes more like scenes are being recycled? Because I kinda felt that way in the last episode. Like she’s just tossing in as many things as she can from those first 11 episodes but I’ve already watched those and Id rather we focus more character progression. I feel like they regressed from those honest conversations last week and were back to being petty this week.
I guess my answer is... no, I don't think there have been too many parallels. Episode 44 was partly about truth bubbling to the surface, with the biggest truth being that Serkan has been in love with Eda every minute of every day since they parted. That is a very important thing for Eda to understand and know and they really can't move forward until she does, because she felt unloved and forgotten all those years. Most of the parallels were illustrating that by showing that he held on to their history, he remembered their history and he honored it. Okay by me.
Anonymous asked: There were some amazing dialogues in the episode. I have two that tie for top. One was when Kiraz said that Serkan was her wish (when blowing her birthday candles), and the other was when Serkan said Apollo was never going to give up on the woman he loves nor on the cherries! Oh my heart had feels both times. What were your favourite dialogues in the episode?
Oh man my head is in 45 now, but both of those examples of yours were great. I loved both of them.
The other than springs to mind is while fishing, Eda telling Serkan that he didn't need to be perfect for Kiraz to love him, he just had to be himself.
Swoon.
That's so important for Serkan to hear, because he doesn't think he's worthy of love as himself, so hearing that from Eda is impactful.
Anonymous asked: reading your ep review, i think a big reason some people are hanging on to hate the s2 plot no matter what are just bc they hate the writer. of course not everyone, but a lot of people will just hate on anything she writes out of spite, even if objectively the episode is very good. idk why that is or when ppl decided they hated her but it's not warranted at all imo. i can understand not liking the premise of this season, but after watching it so far there has been SUCH an improvement edser-wise.
People can like, dislike, love, hate anything they want. Consuming entertainment doesn't have to be a team sport. That being said, from what I've seen I'd agree with your assessment. Teams have formed (Anti-Ayse, Pro-Ayse, etc) and the former are too invested in hating everything she does, the former possibly too forgiving at times. That's their choice, but I have to say I feel bad for the anti brigade, this is a show they loved, and most of them are still watching, but they've completely sabotaged themselves from finding any joy in any of it and I think they're going to regret it once it's over.
Also season 2 is so much better than I thought it could be. I honestly thought there was no way to get back to the early quality, but it's here. The show is really watchable and fun this season, and it's a shame for those who've let their attitudes get so negative that they can't enjoy it.
Anonymous asked: Ok so I'm aware this would be highly uncharacteristic of a dizi - but if they know there's only 6 eps left, my dream would be no more big bad events and just spend it rebuilding EdSer as a couple and a family. Would that be too much to ask lol. They've jumped from one disaster to another. Since we're at the end & they have the luxury of knowing it, I just want to see them working through things as a real unit. They've dated for like 7 eps out of 45? Can we get that above 10 at least????
Congratulations! Because that's exactly what we've gotten so far in season 2. Once we got past the trauma of the 5 year time jump, all the drama has been internal to Eda and Serkan and their relationship. The whole season so far has been about rebuilding Edser as a couple and a family. And if you're watching without the tauntruming twitter teens in your ear, you'd realize we ARE watching them work through things as a real unit.
I'll say this until I'm blue in the face (apparently) just because they are not currently sexing each other up, does not mean they aren't emotionally doing all the things necessary to reach their full potential as a couple.

Chapter 04. セレンディピティ (Serendipity)
“We're sorry to see that you had a bad experience facing one of antagonist fiction who did intimidate you. It is our first time we saw it, especially we never see you can control cyborg form armor by the Book of Paracosm.” Naruto apologies to Kichiko about yesterday after she had already mastered all skills, maybe just a few.
” It is alright, I am already used to it when someone intimidates me without explanation. It's...same how I'm in my homeworld before I become Outcasted fiction.” Kichiko assured Naruto while eating her Onigiri teriyaki chicken, of course before she ate it, she make it half for her and Fou.
Today Naruto and Ben escort Kichiko to a new building. Almost looked like a Theater place. “Welcome to Theater Hall Venue! This is will be your workplace according to your occupation bio from Ash. So you'll be General Manager in here.” Ben explains it after he opens the door entrance. Although it is still on half renovation at each theater room. Fou wagging his fluffy tail like excited to tour around this big theater building. Fascinating, this Theater Hall Venue isn't just a theater building. There are also plenty of areas looked like we're in a modern or futuristic campus study venue, library, cafeteria, and reception area.
“So this Theater Hall Venue isn't just held cinema?” Kichiko asked Naruto and Ben once she finish her Onigiri teriyaki chicken and drank her bottle of ice ginger tea. “Yes, it supposes for our first building to hold all movies cinema from Reality World. Unfortunately, none of the fictions people isn't interested to be part and owner of this building. So I and Goku-san decide it makes special building for Operators, Servants, Aurorians, Shikigami, Skyfarer, and other fictions. Plus, each of them will get assigned quests like a daily commission in our world.” Naruto explains everything until they leave from the cafeteria to the receptionist area.
So many random servants, operators, skyfarer, aurorians, greet them three and Fou like their own neighborhood. Some of them got daily commission on helping citizen activity, and more. ”Can you handle this job? As Deputy Manager of Theater Hall Venue? You could be asked one of them if you need help. Especially trying to figure it out to find the missing pieces page Book of Paracosm.” Ben advise her. Kichiko just nodded at Ben and Naruto that she can do it. Naruto patting her back to courage her, "Alright then, we'll be off now. Seems our creator is already starting their new chapter for us. Good luck!” Naruto praise her and left her with Fou alone. “See ya around, buddy!” Ben grins and waves at them then follow Naruto from behind.
Kichiko seems pretty nervous after the boys leave her and Fou alone. You know, like same how we become the leader for presentation front of your classes with your groups. Problem is, this is her first time being Deputy Manager of Theater Hall Venue for entire people in here. “(|| °n°) What should I do?... I dunno which one I must get along in here? Ugh come on, Kichiko, you can do this.” Kichiko flails and mumbles in chibi mode. See Kichiko looks like panic, Fou saw a figure he recognizes. Maybe that person will be her first friend here. ‘Fou-Fou!’ Fou hops from Kichiko's shoulder like telling her following him. ”Huh? Hey! Wait for me!” Kichiko run follow Fou.
==========
Fou lead Kichiko to the venue lobby area. There's a young girl in her early-mid teens with a slender physique, soft skin, and green eyes. Wear a modern British white-blue dress and brown boots with black stockings. The blonde girl was wiping her Excalibur Sword carefully before she notice Fou coming to her. “Hm? Cath Palug, what are you doing here?” said the young blonde girl.
‘Fou-Kyou’ Fou point at Kichiko who's coming to them after chasing Fou. ”Sorry if we interrupt your break. Fou-kun did tell me to follow me here.” Kichiko explains as she bows down. “It is alright, young one. Maybe Cath Palug makes the reason why he leads you here. The name is Arthuria Pendragon.” it is Arthuria, Servant Saber from ‘Fate Grand Order’. Kichiko bit surprised to hear her name, but Kichiko must know her manners because she is facing ‘King of Knights’. “I-it is a pleasure to meet you, King Arthuria. I'm Kichiko Tomiko, the new Deputy Manager of Theater Hall Venue and new neighbor in here.” Kichiko bit startled to introduce herself. Arthuria just chuckles sees her look nervous. “No need to worry, Kichiko-san. Just call me ‘Arthuria’ or ‘Saber’ when I am on break time from my creator's work.” Arthuria assured and smile warmly. As for Fou, he hops to Arthuria's shoulder before Arthuria invites Kichiko to join her.
Kichiko explain anything that happen to her, found that book, and how she can be Outcasted Fiction too. “Amazing, I am surprised to see a real human become outcasted fiction. Although it is forbidden humans enter our world nor do we fiction enter their homeworld without permission.” Arthuria ponder.
“I want to know more. Why fiction is forbidden to go to the real world?” Kichiko asked many questions she want to know a lot. ”You see, we appreciate people keep support no matter by through stories, art, and more. We believe in them... it's just it's too dangerous if we face toxic people. We saw everything through a network from here. There is one case when 3 fiction is missing long ago, Commander Ash did found them...sadly, they're become slavery for entertainment by greedy and possessive people.” Arthuria looks down in a serious tone.
“I...I am sorry to hear that. But not all my people aren't bad. Maybe, because too much obsessed that's all.” Kichiko feels guilty hearing the story from Saber. Arthuria knows Kichiko is different by patting her head like her own little sister. “Don't be, maybe soon I'll learn from you too.”
Suddenly, the bracelet of Paracosm glow turns into a book-like show a message by the flip page itself. Seems to show a map to find the first missing pieces of the page that she's looking for. “Alnwick Castle... 😯 That's from Britain! The first piece of the page is in that castle.” Kichiko recognizes that place. One of the oldest castles in history worldwide. But, the problem is she can't go alone in there. “I would love to volunteer to join your mission if you insist. I want to see more about my history as King of Knights since you're lived in the real world before.” Arthuria wants to join her on her mission. ‘Fou-Fou!’ Fou also raises his paws to want to participate too on the first mission. “Thank you, guys! I appreciate your help.” Kichiko smiles.
“Besides... (°^°) I want to taste your reality world's food! Is it different than ours?” Arthuria's eyes sparkle in hyper exciting as her ahoge hair waving in chibi hungry mood. “Eh? (°∆°||) That's also your reason too?!” Kichiko jawsdrop and realizes that Arthuria is a gluttony person even she's King of Knights. As Fou faces paws of Arthuria's behavior like a kid mode, especially about the food. It causes Kichiko to chuckle see the feminine side of Saber Knight. “S-Sorry of my behavior...I just want to know what it tastes like your homeworld food.” Arthuria clear her throat but was embarrassed. “It's okay, we can eat food in there after the mission,” Kichiko replied and Arthuria is happy to hear that like a baby lion.
Kichiko's mission is about to begin, Mission to Alnwick Castle in the UK. We won't know will some enemies is trying to stop them.

(Okay so for those of y’all who are like me and sensitive to people talking bad about stuff they like/general negativity, I’d advise scrolling away. I’ll be talking about a bad experience at Dairy Queen, as I am a sheltered kid of a Heath coach and sensitive to sugar. Do I like the food? No. Do I dislike the people who like the food? Also no. I’m glad people can enjoy something at such a low price. /gen)
If you like this chain, that’s cool. I have found memories of once eating fair Queen when I was really young. Once a vanilla ice cream and once chicken fingers and fries. Honestly I mgiht try the chicken again
However.
I saw a commercial aboht this chocolate chip cookie doe blizzard and I was like “cool” and went on with my life. Days past, it is now the present. It’s a hot day and I wanted ice cream and I was like “:0 what about taht Dairy Queen thing!!”
So I convinced my Heath coach mom to drive us to Dairy Queen. She got a brownie ice cream thing, I got the blizzard. She also needed to get what ever by bio father asked for and bring it. I forgot what that was Bc he ended up having to choose something else bc the machine that made the original thing he wanted what broken.
He chose a chocolate shake and the guy took so long to make it. When mom got to the car where I was the blizzard had melted and I couldn’t do taht upside down thing. Secondly, they don’t have a lid that fits the blizzard cup. They instead have a big lid that balences on top the cup like a comically large hat
On the way home, as the blizzard melted, it started to drip onto my cupholder. Who ever decided aesthetic of a no-lid cup was cool can lick the inside of my cup holder. It’s so sticky. I understand they wanted it to look overflowing with stuff, but it’s not worth it.
Also. The taste.
BORING. UNINSPIRED. Every bite was the same and worse than the last, because my body steadily reacted worse and worse to the discusting amount of sugar. To cover this up, I put some Nutella in it and it was the only thing to make it tasteful. Bc it would otherwise, forlack of a better word, plastic ice cream.
I love everything cookie doe, but every thing jsut felt stale and boring. Like if a beisnuss man with his boring ass briefcase and suit was blended up with the fucking cookie doe. Ugh. It’s like hwat would happen if pretzels had normal salt instead of the big salt. The do it for a reason, it keeps each bite interesting and different.
This blizzard tasted like cookie flavored dry wall, exept it didn’t have the crunchy texture. Honestly, the texture wasn’t that bad really. The only decent part Tbh. I liked that they had cookie doe pellits and skinny chocolate chip squares. That was really the only good thing about it and even then it was okay.
Something about Dairy Queen is so bland, corporate, and safe. The ice cream version of McDonald’s. This “flavor” tastes like the sheer generic-ness of modern graphic design. The corporate artstyle.
Tumblr media
Mom had this brownie ice cream thing. She said the brownie bits felt like dog treat pellets and she kept chewing and chewing but it never got destroyed.
We both had the awful feeling of the neutrition-less sludge settling inside our bodies. It felt awful, it almost hurt. To compensate, I ate a foot long, raw carrot but I still feel awful. It felt like I ate from burger lord from good omens.
At least with family owned ice cream, you can feel the love in it. One near where I live is simply named after a popular first name for a person. You get the feeling taht the person really exists and has a passion for ice cream. But I do not know who this Diary Queen is, it just sounds like a worse Freddy murcury. Like he ate cheese right before a show and his voice is suffering from not obeying the Singers Diet.
Even cold stone creamery is much better. Even if it is a big chain, there is still heart. There is emphasis and love for the employees’ ice cream mixing talents. They put on a show like mild habatchi and we watch in awe as they make our treat in font of us with such skill. Idk hwo well the cold stone employees are treated, but still. To the average customer, there is much more emphasis and appreciation aboht them compared to Dairy Queen
The guy at Dairy Queen took like way too long to make a fucking milkshake. I’m not blaming the guy, I’m Blaiming the company. I’m blaming whoever contributed to someone struggling with making a milkshake. Because that is not a happy or maybe even well trained employee.
By the way, it apparently tasted awful and watery, despite the fact the best part of the shake is the ice cream. Dairy Queen centers on ice cream. How did they fuck this up?
Anyways. I still feel sick. We all do. I did have fun complaining though. It’s nice that Dairy Queen puts “(treat)” after their name and almost everything they sell, implying they are a sometimes food. However, I feel they are more of a once a life time food. I dotn think I will ever buy from them again.
I feel the onyl reason my past memories were fond were bc of the context. The first one was when me and my family back in elementary school were driving a long way to a vacation spot and we stopped at a Dairy Queen that makes savory meals. I had fun bc I was exited for the vacation, the food itself was mediocre and cheap but I didn’t care.
The second time was also in elementary, I went to a Dairy Queen with a friend and her family and had lots of fun with them on a hot day. It’s the experience I was remembering, not the taste.
At least when you pay for stuff like fairs and festivals, the horrible conditions are worth it. Yes, you have to use portapottys, yes you have to be in close proximity to way too much peopel, but you are paying directly for a positive experience.
With Dairy Queen you are paying for an “edible”supstance and it is your choise if you also want to have fun.

Things are not ideal for me right now
What’s up, so I had yet another argument with my mom today. I had to go lie down and vent about it to the spirits. I ended up begging them to find SOME way to get my writing off the ground, so I could move into my own place by the end of the year. Then I can finally be alone and not get constantly reminded by people that I'm bad at housework, and remembering stuff, and all those “regular people” things that my mom and sister are just fine with.
Because LUCKY ME, I live in California where a regular fucking 1-to-2-bedroom house can cost a million dollars or MORE now. And while writing and theater has never been easy, it’s been especially bad with the pandemic.
I wore myself out a couple years ago by trying to get my writing noticed the regular way with social-media, and eventually I quit posting much about my work because I barely got any readers AT ALL, let alone people who give me feedback like I kept begging them to. (GUESS HOW MAD I WAS when I found out that literally all of the “standard” marketing advice is bullshit. I spammed Tumblr and Twitter and Facebook for nothing, isn’t that great???)
So yeah, while I vastly advocate trying mundane options before asking the spirits for help, I don’t know how I can get a writing career or earn a million dollars the “mundane” way, especially not in these times.
Which led me, in my “desperate / enraged” double-whammy of a bad mindset, to go and ask Laho the moon-eater for help.
This is not the first time. I asked him in February because I was just fucking TIRED of being stuck at home and having my writing going nowhere, and how asking the other spirits just doesn’t seem to be working.
---
So for context: Laho the Moon-Eater is a dragon in Filipino / Tagalog mythology. He causes eclipses by coming out of the deep ocean and trying to eat the sun/moon. He actively dislikes when I call him a “god” because he insists that the anito/gods have to CARE ABOUT PEOPLE, regardless of power-level, and he is a DRAGON.
He acknowledges that dragons frequently overlap WITH gods, especially in Asian / Filipino mythology, but he told me that it’s a case-by-case thing and sometimes dragons just identify as Level 10 Nature-Spirits. Which is kind of trippy when Laho constantly takes human form and looks/acts almost like Dark Bakura, what with his long white hair, his deathly pale skin, and his dickish and blunt personality. He also has a glowing “aura” that none of the other anito seem to have, even the actual sun and moon deities. I think it's either “deep-sea bio-luminescence” or “side-effects from constantly trying to eat the sun/moon.”
And uh. That comparison to DARK Bakura is not an idle one, because for me, Laho is almost on Loki levels of "Engage With Heavy Caution.” Loki and I barely get along after several years of not being able to stand each other, and after one piece of advice from Loki that went So Damn Badly, he told me we can have a do-over later on. Laho is just damn unpredictable because sometimes he comes over to tell me about stuff, but sometimes he drags me out of my meditation without even asking “hey are you busy??? I found something cool!” first.
On the other hand, Laho is not a proper “Trickster” like Loki is, so he’s not trying to curse me or anything. That involves caring enough about one random, half-trained spirit-worker to like... intentionally damage her, and Laho Does Not Care About People.
Keep in mind that while I am NOT doing formal “magic / spellwork,” thank the gods, general consensus from the other spirits is “Do Not Try This At Home.” Fuck, now that I've calmed down, *I* don’t even like asking Laho for basic goals, but... I don’t know who else I can ask.
The rest of it is behind the “Read More” heading for heavy desperation, depression, and Not Safe For Work subjects.
---
So today after my latest argument with Mom, I went to my room to lie down and get a grip on my Seething Rage And Desperation, but as mentioned before, I just ended up begging the spirits, “GET ME OUT OF HERE, PLEASE. I JUST WANT A HOUSE AND AN ART CAREER. GET ME OUT OF HERE, PLEASE, I’M BEGGING YOU.”
And my attempts to calm down didn’t work so much that Spirit-Me’s heart just... split open from the stress, apparently. The last time that happened was when I was high as hell on a whole weed cookie, and I started thinking the world was going to end. (Long story short, that was Loki’s Extremely Bad Advice. Yes, the spirits remembered that. No, they were not happy that I was sober this time.)
So there’s Spirit-Me, screaming and bleeding all over the damn place while Odin and the other spirits are trying to 1) stitch me back up and 2) assure me that I’m not a TOTAL failure, but I was not in the space to listen, so once I was mostly-not-bleeding, I just ran off to the spirit-ocean and found Laho.
Generally when I’m desperate enough to ask Laho for help, I end up having sex with him as a trade.
Because, at risk of repeating myself, I’m broke. In a lot more ways than “money.” I’m say I’m a half-trained spirit-worker, but if you count FILIPINO spirit-work, it’s even less. I barely even speak Tagalog, so I wouldn’t know any spells or high-end offerings to give the spirits. I don’t know what the fuck else I can trade for help, besides having sex.
I don’t even have an altar to put offerings ON, because my mom’s place has a Catholic altar and I sure as hell won’t leave food meant for pagan spirits there. I share my regular food with the spirits, and then I eat it after a few minutes.
But like... remember how Spirit-Me’s heart just split open from stress, and how I was about to have sex, which is generally Very Strenuous in both worlds? Yeah, not only did my heart split back open, I’m pretty sure me and Laho didn’t do anything resembling “spiritual foreplay” either, because Spirit-Me started bleeding down there, too.
And it’s like, Laho is not a good role model for the MORAL side of “a crying woman is asking me for help and trying to have sex,” but the Filipino spirits are extremely open about sex by itself. Even Laho prides himself on having REALLY good sex if someone comes up to him for it, because humans and involved spirits are the ones who mess shit up with “feelings” and “consent” and “maybe this isn’t a good idea.”
But he knows that humans shouldn’t be leaking gallons of blood, so once that started, he stopped. And then he assured the extremely angry anito that he only knows why I’m bleeding from ONE place, but he didn’t expect that much, and the chest wound is not from him.
Spirit-Me was now slightly WORSE than when I started—my chest hurt and my downstairs half hurt, and while I was flailing in a pool of my own blood, and begging the spirits for a steady income and a basic house, my mouth started bleeding, so now Orifice #3 Is Leaking Too Much Red Stuff.
So, I needed Freyja AND Brighid to come fix it. Brighid says that my issues are manifesting as “spiritual ulcers.” Freyja has gently advised me that given the shit that happened today, I should avoid spirit-intercourse for the next few days and seriously take it easy for other types of sex.
And weirdly enough, once everyone cleared out to give me a break from the events, the Morrigan came up and told me that she loved me, and I could ask her for help if I wasn’t too tired. She also told me that she is the goddess of sovereignty, and I don’t ask her for nearly enough things. So... yeah, I asked her for help with getting an art career and buying my own house, so I could help fix the damn planet by the end of this year, 2021.
See, the Morrigan is my patron goddess and she has been extremely hands-off in the past few years. While she DOES relegate herself to “spiritual bodyguard for the squishy writer,” sometimes she comes up and tells me she loves me, unprompted. Especially when I’m... not in a good space AT ALL, like today.
I wonder if my soul is dying, or in a LOT of trouble. Honestly, I’m not surprised. I told the spirits a while back that my soul will die if I’m stuck in this rut for much longer, where I’m not a successful artist, and so I have to live with my family, who I can’t really get along with.
I'm not good at anything besides art. Either my head just doesn’t fucking work properly for most jobs, or random shit goes wrong with basic tasks, or I end up hating the job and wishing that I could just DO ART FOR A LIVING.
The only way I can see to fix things is get an art career and move into my own place, so I don’t bother anyone and they don’t have to deal with my weirdness. But HOW THE FUCK am I gonna find a million dollars for a basic house, when I can’t even get enough people to read my stuff???
And that, followers, is why I'm up at midnight after exhausting Spirit-World shenanigans.

" The friction between my words and your fantasy is making the atmosphere erotic."
(Soraya Marcelo: Twitter)
------------------------------------------------------------
"There you go baby - everything's ready now. It should be perfect for tonight. A guild picnic at dusk and bonfire under the stars, was it?"
"Yep, that's what Mira told us. Even said so on the Magicbook * page for the event. My friends from other guilds like Sabertooth will be attending too— a bunch responded."
"Awesome baby!"
"It really is. Thanks for helping me get ready by the way, Cancer!"
"Anytime. Have fun tonight!"
"Will do— thank you! "
"All right-catch you later, baby!"
"See ya!"
" Wow—- You look beautiful, Luce."
Natsu's arms encircled Lucy's waist from behind with the soft pressure of his lips on her shoulder; which sent a tingly shiver down her spine.
"Not that ya' didn't before. He amended, a fond smile tugging at the corner of his lips. Not to mention those striking emerald eyes the celestial mage could drown in. "You always do."
Major fan of this whole look.
"I still can't believe I got such a gorgeous angel as my mate and queen. How am I this lucky?"
"Dunno. How'd you ever get so sentimental?" Lucy shot back, a teasing lilt to her words. (She couldn't help but lean back into his arms ). "If Gray could only hear you now ...but yeah, I really like all this too ."
Golden half-braided hair framed the face of Lucy's reflection in a floral-mini, skater dress; who was gazing back through a mirror. Topping the whole ensemble together was a pair of Grecian-style wedges on her feet that were to die for.
"Still can't believe you're officially mine" the dragon slayer breathed, voice thick with reverent awe. "I love you so much."
"L-love you too... hmm."
The celestial wizard let out a soft hum of bliss from the peppering of feathery-light kisses on her neck leading to her collarbone just after a nuzzle.
"Y-You trying to distract me Natsu?" she inquired, voice coming out as breathy to her own ears. God, the sensation of Natsu's scorching lips on the celestial mage's creamy skin was scattering all train of thought— almost too much to handle!
It's really hard to think right now...
"Hmm.. just maybe I am, sweetheart," came the dragonslayer's reply, timbre, a languid drawl against her skin. "Is it working?"
"Yes," was all Lucy could utter, eyes drifting shut from the sweep of his hand up the curve of her neck in a single caress. Oh and the appealing sensation of a blonde tendril being dragged through his deft fingers was an added bonus too!
"Good," The vibrations of the fire wizard 's throaty chuckle sent sparks ripping across the summoner's nerves; which effectively turned the celestial mage's knees to mush.
"That's what I was aiming for ."
"It is?"
"Yep. Did I mention how amazing you smell?" He rumbled, pulling another shiver out of his mate. "Your natural scent now permanently mixed with mine..."
Dear God, the enticing charisma of this man- so natural! Who was she deny the incredibly overpowering ecstasy exploding through her veins with how the demon hybrid's nose was pressed against the crook of her neck?.
"And is that a hint of jasmine perfume I'm catching a whiff of?"
"Mhmm..."  Goddamn-  how extremely apparent  that Lucy was pretty much rendered incapable of forming any type of response other than a single ,answering hum.
"Thought so-pretty intoxicating if ya' ask me."
"Um..."
It was then Lucy couldn't help but wonder what Natsu's ultimate end game was. No doubt the man was successful in efforts to ensare her with his devilish charms— but where did he intend for it to all lead? Did any of his plans entail steamy kissing marathons on the couple's bed? Slow-burn love-making beneath the sheets, wild romps all over their apartment? Just what if it could be?
Holy hell— that pulsating of liquid heat pulsating that shot between to the keyholder's core from the scintillant flash of images flooding her mind .
Supple digits unzipping the back of her dress, an insatiable Natsu pinning her against a wall, being lightly tossed onto the bed by said dominant dragon slayer, all-too-welcome lips leaving a high-voltage trail of electricity down her bare form before...
"Crap... the time."
Just for that little fantasy bubble to burst once Natsu pulled away from Lucy; who bit back a noise of protest at the loss of contact.
"Eh sorry, Luce," he apologized, rubbing the back of his neck with a sheepish grin. "Didn't mean to lose track of the time like that. Either way, we should probably start heading over if we don't wanna be late."
"Okay..." Lucy let out a sigh, not able to stop the wave of mild disappointment from washing over her.
"Aw come on now, weirdo!" Natsu wheedled, light-hearted amusement coloring his tone. "No need to be so glum! Tonight's gonna be fun, remember?"
"I know." Lucy conceded, with a faint smile tugging at the corner of her lips. "Should be great to spend time with our friends from Fairytail and other guilds. " Her spirits couldn't help but be lifted by the pyro's sunny mood.
Him and that infectious grin of his...
"Great! That's the spirit!" He crowed , planting a light peck on Lucy's cheek;aka the reason for the slight flush of scarlet .
"Tonight's gonna be awesome !"
"It sure will ."
"Definitely!"
"Oh, and one more thing," Natsu paused to shoot Lucy a lingering glance. "Just a little tiny something."
" What that might be?"
"Your outfit. I was thinking that maybe it could use a little extra piece to complete the look? Like, say that necklace I gave you?"
" Oh… that gorgeous pendant? You know what, yeah! Great idea-Thanks Natsu!"
"My pleasure. And pretty sure I saw said pendant in your jewelry box. Lemme' grab it for you."
"Sure thing!"
"Great then- so it's settled!"
"You bet!"
------------------------------------------------------------
A/N: Magicbook is a fictional social media app and site for all magic users and citizens in Earthland- aka the Fairytail equivalent of its counterpart in real life Facebook- in case anyone was wondering. Just a little sidenote about the chronological order for the timeline each fic in my TDDAHCP anthology series.
1. Fire And Gold(prequel)
2. Tantric Flames
3. A Dragon, His Princess and the Not-So Terrible Party Aftermath(this fic)
Figured I'd provide a little guide about the chronological order in terms of how each fic in this series takes place. Anyway, that's pretty much all for now until the next chapter. Hoped you enjoyed the first installment and please free to let me know what you think by dropping a review/comment!
Once again, don't forget to check out my other Nalu week entries along with the rest of my writing! How To Target Prospective Customers on Instagram?
Instagram is the most popular social networking platform amongst millennials and young people. With 800 million monthly active users, Instagram has expanded beyond just showing off the latest fashion trends; it now caters to a wide range of niches. In a recent poll of over 2500 micro-influencers, 60% said Instagram is the best channel for engagement.
Instagram users are also in a purchasing mood, and people share more on this social platform about the current trends–which is why it is the finest outlet for promoting your brand and attracting more ideal customers.
So, how can you make the most of your social media optimization services by leveraging Instagram to generate traffic on your website? What’s the best way to use it to its full potential? Here are some Instagram tips to help you attract your ideal customers:
Switch To Business Mode First and foremost, we strongly advise that you switch your account from personal to business mode. Making the switch to Instagram for business will not just help you establish a stronger presence on the platform. You'll also be able to get vital information about the performance of your account. You'll also see a couple of contact buttons beneath your bio and can easily commercialize your business.
Here's how to go from a personal profile to a business page in only a few clicks:
Go to your profile's upper right corner and tap the three lines. Tap the ‘Settings’ button and select ‘Account’ from the drop-down menu. Switch to a professional account by tapping on ‘Business.’ If you'd like, you can connect your business account to a Facebook Page associated with your company by following the instructions. This is an optional step. Include information such as your company's category, contact information and tap ‘Done.’ Also Read : Social Media Marketing: Solving The Most Common Challenges
Start with Bigger Marketing Personas If you own a business, you most likely already have a buyer persona, a profile of an ideal consumer to whom you want to sell your product.
There's no need to reinvent the wheel for determining your ideal Instagram audience. Inquire with your social media marketing agency about the usual customer. After you've dug into your Instagram analytics, you'll be able to add more subtlety and detail to these clients' profiles based on your social data.
First, you must ask yourself the following four questions:
What exactly is my product? What kind of audience do I want to reach? (Or, for whom is my product intended?) What exactly are my target audience's pain points? And how am I going to reach out to that audience? Analyze Your Competitors’ Audience With practically every other business establishing an Instagram account, you won't be the only one selling the product/service you do. So, if you are unsure of who your target audience is, you will find success by analysing the audience of your competitors.
Who is commenting on your competitors' Instagram posts? What kind of content is appealing to them? What sparked their interest? These questions can be answered by doing a competitive analysis. Another reason to keep your competitors near is that you can find your ideal audience on their profile. Navigate to your competitor's profile and click on followers. Start by looking at their followers' accounts and following them back.
NOTE: Just don't follow more than 50 people each day, or Instagram will assume you're a spammer/robot.
Engage With Your Audience It may seem obvious, but engaging with your followers is essential for converting them into customers. The followers who engage with you the most on social media are usually your most loyal audience, and they are the most likely to make a purchase from you later on.
While it might be tough to keep up with the flood of comments, following, and likes, responding to these interactions will benefit you in a variety of ways. The more you "like" comments, answer questions, and follow individuals back, the more your followers will engage with you, the higher the Instagram algorithm will position your content on the feed.
Establish a Rapport With Influencers. Influencers are persons who are well known in your industry. These influencers are your best bet if you want to advertise on Instagram and get more people to notice your brand.
Consider your connection with influencers to be a network – tap three to four influencers and you will engage their followers. Influencer marketing works in the same way as word-of-mouth marketing. Consumers trust reviews and comments more than the actual description on your website.

Hey, I saw the post about you starting to date again. As a young ace, how do you go about doing such a thing? I've been wanting to date people but I have no idea what a date could even be. Do you just talk to people? Does there have to be romance involved?
Hey there! I'm going to do my best to answer because honestly I do not know what I am doing, I'm just trying my best to out myself out there and pulling on experiences my allo friends have shared with me.
So I decided to join Bumble because men can't initiate conversations. This I felt gave me more control over the situation and gave me time to decide if I wanted to start a conversation or just have fun swiping through profiles.
Speaking of profiles! I personally think it's best to add as many pics as the app allows (6 for bumble) and answer 2-3 of their profiles questions. In my actual bio I kept it short and sweet. I said I was an animal lover, asexual, want to travel the world and was looking for someone to join me. That last part may or may not be true but 🤷‍♀️.
Also!! Side note!! I wish there were more pride flag emojis than just the LGBT one. Just saying it's be nice.
If you decide to pursue this I would recommend swiping right on people who have filled out those questions because that's information you can use to start a conversation. Like one guy said he liked ATLA so I asked his thoughts on the live action series coming up.
As to what a date could be, I would say that depends on your comfort level of interaction in a pandemic. If you want it to be virtual, you could set up a Netflix party and watch something together. Or schedule a Google meet/ZOOM/video date where you eat together and get to know each other a bit better. It'll be awkward but all first dates are! If you're comfortable meeting in an outdoor environment you could go out for mini golf or outdoor dinner or drinks. Or even a walk!
One thing I would advise, so as to not waste your own time, is to ask them if they saw asexual on your bio. A lot of people, men especially, just swipe without really looking so they may not be aware of your sexuality. Sometimes it's a deal breaker but not always! But it's always good to be on the same page before investing any time/energy/emotion.
As for romance, that's up to you! I personally feel like the first 2-3 dates should be devoted to getting to know one another. No one really feels deep emotion in those early days (except maybe excitement) but some people like to maybe hold hands or kiss you goodbye. Take an inventory of what you might be okay with! If you don't want to hold hands, wear something with pockets to take your hands off the table. Now a days most people ask for permission before kissing and a lot of people don't kiss on the first date. Sometimes this is true and sometimes this is a gentle way to turn someone down but either way it's up to what you want.
One of my friends had never been kissed until she was 26 (not that age has anything to do with it, I just want to show that not everyone has their first kiss in middle/high school) and she told the guys on her dates. When a guy asked if he could kiss her she said "I'm nervous but yes" so don't be afraid to express yourself!!
One way my anxiety manifests is I turn quiet and don't express myself or my needs. This has never turned out in my favor, especially when it comes to relationships (of any kind!!)
I hope this all helps! I know it's a bit long but I thought it might all be useful to newly dating aces. Another thing I would suggest, if you want a better idea of first dates, is to watch Dating Around on Netflix (if you have access to it). I thought it was very insightful for dating ideas and how casual the experience can be.

i keep thinking i’m done beating this dead horse but no, because i’ve now read an interview with Kester Grant that explains, Well, a Lot.
I’m also pissing myself because on her Agent’s site bio, she’s listed as being born on December 5, “alongside notorious British rebel Guy Fawkes” which strongly suggests that SOMEONE involved thought Guy Fawkes was born on November 5.
I then looked at her About page on her own website, where the note is “Death-day of notorious British rebel Guy Fawkes celebrated annually in the UK by giant morbidly ironic bonfire's & firework displays” which is ALSO wrong because he wasn’t even brought to trial till the following January ?? the fireworks commemorate the gunpowder plot aka the actual thing that happened on the 5th of november ohh my god  kester grant use wikipedia challenge
Anyway, this is gonna be a Long Post, so I’m gonna put the quotes + commentary under the cut:
Firstly, Marius DID appear in an initial draft, only to be deleted later:
He was present in the first draft of the book when I sold it to the publishing house and I just struggled every time I had to write a scene with him. All the scenes with Marius and Enjolras St. Juste (it was Marius originally as well as St. Juste, and St. Juste was just a secondary character) and I was saying to my husband ‘if only I could write this scene with just St. Juste it would be 3 million times better’ [...] So I said to my editor, “listen, could I cut Marius?” and she said “absolutely!” and everything was just three million times better and now we just have St. Juste who became the amazing star that he is and I love him.
so we did get Marjolas, just the other way round than we normally do.
On her writing process:
I had the idea for The Court Of Miracles and I wrote it in six weeks to apply for a competition called Pitch Wars where you get mentored by two published authors and then at the end of the mentorship of two months they help you edit it.
Really? Written in six weeks? you certainly couldn’t tell...
Then, when asked about research:
I started to do research on a 48 hour flight from the States to where I live now in Mauritius [...] So I had this raging fever and I had a million tabs open on my computer and I was just eating the history of Paris, from this origin all the way through to Napoleon’s fall. And taking notes and getting ideas.
honestly her having a fever while doing the research suddenly means EVERYTHING makes sense
On how she came up with the Guilds:
Then I went online to see what kinds of crimes there are and I looked up laws. I had a whole list of different crimes and said ‘okay, we can split these into guilds’ and then I thought if you’re two young girls living in a criminal world, who is the most terrifying criminal?’ and obviously it would be the human trafficker. So automatically I was like ‘okay that’s your big bad guy. That’s your Shere Khan’.
what kind of crimes there are
Being in the first person is interesting because I don’t normally write in the first person. Being of a certain age, I’m 35, everything I’ve ever read in England was written in the third person, but I knew I was writing a young adult book, or at least one bordering on young adult, so I had been advised to write in the first person, which I hated. It was completely unnatural to me but I think it’s worked very well for Nina. [bolding mine]
once again, you definitely can’t tell that she hates the first person !! not at all!! also that’s definitely not the sort of thing you should say in an interview?!
I have since been told, from my best friend and all of my siblings, that Nina is actually like me and of course it was easy to write her because she does what I would do.
ohoho it’s self-insert o’clock! and, as Briar pointed out, it’s just a wild coincidence that her self-insert is also universally beloved by the Hot Young Men of the novel. (Not that in fic I’m against self-inserts - but once again, this is published !)
There’s going to be two sequels [to The Court Of Miracles] so there might *hint hint*, be a bit of jealousy or triangles or things between [Ettie and Nina]
personally i’m delighted by this! we already have a love square, what is it gonna become? a tetrahedron? is the dauphin gonna suddenly fall for Cosette? or Montparnasse, or Enjolras St. Juste????
Nina, if pushed a certain way, if she allowed herself to go a certain way, could easily become very similar to [Kaplan, the villain]. I’m not saying she would become a human trafficker but Nina is basically a walking PTSD case. She’s like Batman! She’s like Samuel Vimes in Ankh-Morpork [in Discworld]!
nina is like batman. right, got it.
Originally the book had the history of Paris by the Dead Lord in between every single chapter and I think it was a bit too weighty and a bit boring in places. So my editor said ‘let’s scrap that’ and I said ‘okay but then I’m going to put the short stories in’.
you know, her editor dropped the ball in a lot of places, but at least they got rid of that, because I was skim reading the folk story bits as it was
I have another book coming out next year, it’s basically like The Jungle Book but on speed.
this is the bit that made me almost spit peppermint tea everywhere because who the fuck describes their own work like that
and finally, last but not at all least, here’s her overview of the French Revolution:
I mean the nobles [in The Court Of Miracles] were always monstrous in a way but they have become 100 times worse because they saw what the people of France were about to do to them. Which historically, the people of France, the revolutionaries, led the terror – they murdered everyone right left and centre! Then of course the revolutionaries famously turned on their own.
There was terrible suffering that led to the revolution but the revolutionaries were all mental. They literally murdered each other because they were so paranoid! Robespierre got rid of the Roman Catholic Religion entirely and then invented his own religion! Look it up its called the Cult Of The Supreme Being!
Then there were three guys who had joint power who were supposed to form an equal government. One of them rose to power and his name was Napoleon and he became a dictator. Although he was a dictator who took over almost all of the world, the people of France loved him. [Then] the people of France themselves in a strange turn of events turned on him in the end and betrayed him. Otherwise, he might still have been in power for years and years. And Napoleon is a big feature in Books Two and Three… just saying…
napoleon!! we’re getting NAPOLEON in the next two i am so genuinely excited because I have no fucking idea what she’s gonna do

Principle Decisions [3/24]
Rating: Explicit
Pairing: Lilith/Zelda Spellman
Summary: Of all the shops, between Greendale and Riverdale, on all of the days, Lilith had to be in the one she’d stopped into out of convenience.
N.B.: Also posted on AO3. This is pure fantasy, please suspend your disbelief.
Zelda showered when she got home, feeling the hot water sting against her marks. It ached in a way that she hadn’t expected. Sharp pain pricking over her skin until the sensation was bright in the back of her skull, unable to tell if was pain or otherwise.
She closed her eyes, drawing in a deep breath. All she could think about was how Lilith had looked into her eyes, promising that Zelda would return home to think of her.
With the hot water burning over her back as she held the shower head over a particularly risen welt, she buried her fingers between her legs.
She hated that the woman was right.
And yet as felt the water sting over her back and felt the orgasm build with fast intensity, she could not care enough to stop.
Zelda gasped as the orgasm trembled and brokered a whine from her. She came to the echoed sound of a riding crop in her mind and the sweet purr of a good girl in her ear.
With that need solved, she finished her shower, dressing in a nightgown with a gown thrown over the top as she made her way downstairs to where Hilda was serving dinner.
Ambrose and Sabrina already sat at the table as Hilda set down the roasted vegetables on the trivet mat. The meatloaf was already set down, cooling beside it.
“How was your meeting, love?” Hilda asked.
“Perfectly adequate, though I doubt anything will come from it,” she said, knowing that it was lie in more than one way.
Sitting down, she drew herself to the table and felt the spine of the chair press against a welt. She hissed in a breath, biting her tongue. Gone by morning, Lilith had assured. Zelda very much so doubted that.
Ambrose quirked an eyebrow at her, as if subtly enquiring but she drew her eyes away, turning instead to pour herself a glass of water.
“You look different,” Sabrina commented. Zelda nearly dropped the jug of water from her hand as she looked up at her niece, wondering if her gown had slipped from her shoulder, revealing a mark. “Relaxed,” Sabrina said.
“I finished marking the most recent essays from the first years,” she advised, which was truthful enough.
“You’re never in this good of a mood until the end of the year.”
Zelda frowned. “And pray tell, what do you consider to be a good mood?”
“You came home smiling,” Sabrina said, popping a small potato into her mouth, her brow bouncing as if to dare her to disagree. “I think you went on a date.”
“Ridiculous,” Zelda said, rolling her eyes. “And in what time would I have to find myself a date? Between my work and my students, on top of looking after this family, I barely have a moment to go shopping for myself, let alone find a date.”
Sabrina frowned. “Well, you seemed happy,” she muttered. Zelda eyed her, disliking the impetuous tone she took. But before she could consider if it was worth scolding, Hilda began discussing her shift that morning at Doctor Cerberus’ bookshop.
Zelda listened but didn’t comment, watching as Ambrose and Sabrina eagerly inquired as to her work, apparently excited by the entire idea of a bookshop with a horror theme. A pang tugged at her as she realised that neither her niece nor nephew (nor her sister, for that matter) had taken half as much interest in her work.
But it was something shiny and new in the house, she supposed. It would pass. Eventually, it would be a day job like any other, and they would find new things to be excited by.
Just like her desire to engage, the dominatrix had been a passing fancy.
And yet, when Zelda went to bed that evening, she felt herself replay the scene over and over, remember each strike and tease the woman had played, and how her hands had felt, coiled and knotted so beautifully in rope. She thought of the feeling of her knees on the floor and how Lilith’s nails had raked across her skin.
And the feeling of her walls shattering with the impact of each strike.
It had been…
No, she couldn’t admit that. Submission and impact play was one thing, but crying, she couldn’t honestly find deliverance from someone hitting her hard enough she cried, could she? It should go against her very nature––after all, the only reason she’d become so clever about sneaking out of the house was to avoid that very punishment.
But then…it’d been different.
The way Lilith’s hand had splayed against her ribs. How she’d known her limit was met and just undid everything so seamlessly, holding her until she…
Zelda turned in the bed, pushing the thought away as a lump grew in her throat. No, she didn’t want to think about it any further, couldn’t allow herself to sink in that feeling.
She awoke the next day and dressed before going down to breakfast. Sabrina already sat at the breakfast table, legs swinging as she flicked through the morning newspaper. Hilda was likely asleep, given that it was Sunday, and Ambrose wouldn’t be up until the afternoon.
Zelda moved around the kitchen, making herself a morning coffee as from out of the corner of her eye, she watched as Sabrina flicked through the newspaper, drinking in the stories. A part of her hoped that it was her niece trying to emulate her, but truthfully she knew that whatever Sabrina was attempting to do was her own agenda entirely.
“What time are you going to Roz’s?” she asked.
“Theo’s,” Sabrina corrected. “Could you drop me off by ten?”
Zelda nodded. She didn’t mind Theo. Sabrina’s friends had always been polite, making small talk when they came to the house, but she’d always been sweet on Theo and Sabrina’s friendship in her own way. Turning her eyes away when they snuck cookies before dinner or giving into Sabrina’s begging to ask Mr Putnam if Theo could stay the night.
Perhaps it was because Theo was Sabrina’s very first friend in grade school. Or perhaps it was because she saw elements of herself in the boy. Either way, she felt more comfortable that Sabrina was staying at the Putnam’s over the Walker’s.
Coffee in grip, she stood, watching Sabrina go back to reading the newspaper. “And you’ve finished your homework?” she asked.
“I’ve got one more thing to do, but I was going to do that with Theo and Roz.”
Zelda’s eyebrows rose. “Is it a group project?” she asked.
“Sort of,” Sabrina shrugged.
“Sabrina, the agreement was that if you were to go to a sleepover, you would have your homework finished before then.”
Sabrina paused and looked up, her eyes flicking to Zelda in an act of teenage rebellion as she cast a dark look. “It’s just a small project for bio. If we work together, it will be faster.”
Zelda pressed her tongue against the back of her teeth to prevent from snapping at her niece. Taking a breath, she stared into Sabrina cool eyes and gave the warning as sharp as she could. “If you don’t honour the agreements you’ve made, people will stop providing them to you. Finish your homework, or you’ll be calling your friends to advise that you will, unfortunately, be unable to make it.”
Sabrina shut the newspaper in what appeared to be an attempt to make a loud noise as she pushed the stool back. “Fine,” she said. “I’ll finish it if that’s what you want.” And then she was off, storming up to her bedroom.
Zelda closed her eyes, drinking in the cup of coffee. Sabrina’s mood swings were becoming worse. Edward himself used to get into foul moods as a teenager, but his had been a fit of quiet anger, bottling inside of him. Sabrina’s seemed to be steadily becoming explosive.
She hadn’t known Diana as a teenager but suspected the woman had always had a softer temperament. Though, her temperament could have just been due to the catholic raising she had, surpassing every anger out of her.
Rolling her head on her neck, Zelda touched over the back of her shoulder.
In the bathroom mirror this morning, she’d looked over herself to see if she could see any of the marks, but to her surprise, Lilith had been right. The welts had reduced. There was only one that remained, and so as long as she wasn’t wearing anything backless, it was unlikely to be seen.
There was a sound of the door slamming, and Zelda surpassed the urge to walk up there and tell Sabrina off for making such a noise. However, her frustration at the disrespect shown sat heavy, like there was a stone in the pit of her stomach.
“Oh, in a mood, is she?” Hilda asked as she looked up at the ceiling. Her sister was still dressed in her nightgown as she began fussing around the kitchen, curlers in her hair.
“Quite,” Zelda advised. “We had an agreement that if she finished her homework, she would be able to attend whatever event she’s having with her friends, but it seems she’s decided to do it on her own terms.” Drawing the coffee to her lips, she reached for the newspaper and flicked it open.
It was the local Sunday paper, and as such, it was mostly filled with fluff. Zelda flickered through the articles, reading over the local scandal with the Blossom family, to an article regarding a new highway that was set to start next year. Then finally, she found herself at the classifieds, running through the personals section. Her eyes drew over the paper before she looked away.
Lilith wasn’t there, and she wasn't sure why she was looking for her name along those lines.
“Any plans for the day?” Hilda enquired. “I thought I’d work out in the garden myself.”
“Just work, sister,” she commented, dropping the newspaper down. Perhaps she should busy herself with the intended work. She had a journal article to write and a deadline for herself to have the first draft finished by the end of the semester.
Setting her coffee cup aside, she made her way into her office, shutting the door behind her. There had been a time, long ago, when this was her father’s office. Many of his books remained on the shelves, denoting laws long since repealed. Yet there was a strange comfort to the room as she took her seat behind the heavy desk.
When Edward had married, Zelda had been certain that he would take over the home, and she would need to move accommodations elsewhere, but he hadn’t. Choosing to move in with Diana, and leaving the house, large as it was, in Zelda’s hands to oversee.
And then, when Edward had passed, Hilda had brought Ambrose and herself back to Greendale to help with arrangements, and then never left. For that, she was grateful, though Zelda would never admit out loud. She was perfectly capable of raising Sabrina by herself––and had for the most part––but the house was big, and Ambrose and Hilda both helped to fill it.
She switched on the computer, pulling up her files as she opened up saved documents she’d downloaded.
Reading through the last segment she wrote, she found herself suddenly clicking open the browser.
Lilith’s website was burned into her mind (easy as it was to remember) and she found herself without even thinking, typing it into the address bar. The website loaded, asking her if she was over 18. Rolling her eyes, she clicked yes.
The website, not unlike how the townhouse had been, was designed with elegance in mind. However, there was a stronger theme of red than the house had.
It had the usual things you’d expect, a blurb about the so-called Madam Satan which detailed usual tantalising information. Photos that disguised her face, and mostly showed her in a range of outfits with different devices. Most of them tame, with her seeming to go for the I could be your boss look whilst holding onto the familiar riding crop, whereas others involved a more-expected look of leather and fishnet stockings.
Zelda flicked through the website, past the contact us section, across to the take a tour of the townhouse (which showed photos that elegantly showed off the house (with a more detailed, daylight view of the backyard).
And then, finally, Zelda clicked on services.
There she scrolled through the services, glancing through bondage, domination/submission, impact play, medical play, mistress/pet and other standard kinks that Zelda had either heard about or experienced herself. She was intrigued by a few, disregarded many as just not being her thing, and then found herself pausing over one specifically.
Girlfriend experience, deluxe.
Includes everything in the girlfriend experience package, with a few bonuses. Discuss with Madam Satan to get this tailored* experience to your liking. Recommended with weekend bookings.
*advised to be a repeat client to experience the full benefit.
Zelda clicked out of the browser, feeling the warmth spread across her face. She wasn’t naive, she knew very well what the girlfriend experience was, and yet somehow the idea of a tailored experience sent a shiver down her spine.
Was that where she was at with her life? That she wanted to fall into the arms of a sex worker and pretend to have her as her girlfriend?
No, that would be absurd. She didn’t need to see the woman again. She’d had her fun, paid for it and at most, if she were going to see her again, it wouldn’t be for something like that.
Besides, it’d be far cheaper to pick-up someone if that’s what she craved. She could just drive up to the city, go to a bar and choose amongst a sea of people whoever she felt like. It wasn’t like she had difficulty with that area. It was just the hassle of going out and finding someone she did want to engage in with sex.
Plus the dance of conversation, ensuring they would wear protection, or…
Zelda closed her eyes, sitting back in the office chair. Maybe she should just call-up an old flame, see if one of her long lost paramours were in the local area.
Pushing the thought out of her head, she returned to work, reading through her last paragraph when a knock sounded at the door. “Come in,” she advised, looking up from her screen to watch as Sabrina pushed the door open, before folding her arms underneath her chest and leaning against the doorframe.
Zelda looked at the time. It was after nine. A shiver ran down her spine. How long had she spent flicking through Lilith’s website?
It didn’t matter. She turned back, watching Sabrina press her lips together as if waiting for Zelda to snap at her.
“Have you finished your homework?” Zelda inquired as softly as she could. Sabrina was looking for a fight, and the last thing she wanted was a screaming match.
“I did,” Sabrina returned shortly. Her face pinched and then she sighed, dropping her arms away. “I’m sorry,” she said. “You’re right, I promised, and I should keep to my promises.” It wasn’t a sincere apology, just a way for her niece to admit fault so she could ultimately get what she wanted.
But it was something at the very least.
“Thank you,” she said, pushing up from her office chair. She flicked the monitor screen off and stepped around the desk. “You said you were staying at Theo’s tonight?”
Sabrina nodded, a smile brushing over her face. “Popcorn and horror movies.”
“Will Harvey be there?”
“Not to stay over, if that’s what you’re concerned about.”
Hardly, Zelda wanted to comment. Sabrina knew as well as she did that she’d never forbade a boy from staying over. Still, she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was going on. If it wasn’t Sabrina sneaking off to have sex, it only further raised concerns. Sex and alcohol was one thing, but the mischief was another thing all together.
Ambrose himself had his own rebellious youth and had served house arrest up until recently as a result of a schoolboy plot gone awry. She didn’t want Sabrina slipping down the same path.
“Have you got everything you need?” Zelda asked.
Sabrina gestured to the overnight bag in the hallway before smiling at her. The bag was particularly full, and once again, Zelda felt her suspicious rise, before reminding herself that her niece should be allowed some secrets. If it were to be the act of pilfering alcohol from the liquor cabinet, then the teenagers would have their fun, and likely the evidence of their mischief would be seen tomorrow as they nursed a hangover.
Besides, Sabrina had a clever head on her shoulders. She should lay her trust in that. “Is your phone charged?”
“It is,” Sabrina agreed.
Zelda nodded, before seeking out her handbag and keys, advising Hilda quickly as to where she was going.
“Oh, could you pick up some milk and eggs on your way back?” Hilda asked. “Used the last of it on breakfast this morning.”
“It’s hardly on my way, but if you’re so desperate that you can’t do it yourself, sister,” Zelda said with a sigh. “Was there anything else you required?”
“Oh, no. If you prefer I can cook something else, or fetch in myself—”
“No, you’ve already made your decision. No point in both of us leaving the house today.” Zelda sighed, placing on her sunglasses as she exited the house and got into the car. Sabrina was already sitting in the passenger seat, bag on the floor before her feet.
“And you’re sure that you have everything?” Zelda asked, placing her seatbelt on.
“Absolutely.”
On the drive over, Sabrina fiddled with the radio, placing on the local station as she sat back and hummed to the music. All evidence of her bad mood had evaporated and whatever was left was a humming excitement.
Zelda adjusted her sunglasses as she pulled up the Putnam farm, wondering if she should enquire with Mr Putnam of anything odd he’d noticed with his son. But as soon as they’d arrived, Sabrina was pushing out of the car and wishing her goodbye as she ran up the steps to the front door, not even providing her with the option of a polite greeting with Mr Putnam––making it all the more suspicious.
So be it, Zelda thought as she watched the door open and Sabrina cling to Theo and Roz as if it had been months since she’d them, rather than a little over a day. If they were up to no good, she was certain it would eventually come out.
Placing the car into gear, she turned around in the driveway and made her way into town, intending to pick milk and eggs from the local grocer.
A simple enough task, and one that shouldn’t have caused any issue, had it not been that as she held a basket in one hand, and walked down the aisle to where refrigeration section was at the end, she ran into none other than Lilith.
Lilith was placing flour into her own basket, turning to face down the aisle––therefore causing them to come face-to-face with each other.
It figured that despite being in this town for over fifteen years and never once having seen the woman before, she came across her the day after their rendezvous.
Lilith stared at her, eyebrows raised as if to suggest that it was her move in what she wanted to do.
She looked lovely, dressed in a familiar black trench coat over a red dress. Her hair was out, spilling down her back and Zelda once again got the urge to curl her fingers through the woman’s hair.
“Excuse me,” Zelda said politely, stepping around her to move to the refrigerator section. She could feel the woman staring at her as she made her way down to where the milk was and grabbed whatever was closest before moving to where the eggs were and snatching a dozen there before she moved to the cashier.
Except it was Greendale, which meant there were only ever two cashiers on at one time, and one was dealing with a customer who seemed to be hoarding for whatever apocalypse was coming––or realistically, was likely a farmer doing their monthly shop––and the other had a line up of two people with baskets, where Lilith was second in line.
Lilith seemed to turn at the inopportune moment and glance at her before smirking and looking away.
Girlfriend experience, deluxe ran through her head, as well as the photograph of Lilith standing in a trench coat (similar, if the not the same as the one she was wearing) and lingerie with a paddle in hand.
Zelda stepped behind her, pride refusing to let her walk away and pretend she’d forgotten something as the cashier continued to serve an older man who was slowly pulling out his wallet.
Of all the shops, between Greendale and Riverdale, on all of the days, Lilith had to be in the one she’d stopped into out of convenience.
She glanced to the other cashier, confirming again that they were still scanning through a hundred or so items for the woman before she looked back at the gentleman who seemed to be getting into a disagreement over a coupon.
Honestly! It was like the world was tormenting her.
Lilith seemed to laugh as she adjusted the basket in her hand, and Zelda felt her embarrassment only increase tenfold. Perhaps she should just step away, make some vague comment about needing coffee and return after Lilith was long gone.
“Do you often huff like that behind strangers, or is there something I can help you with?” Lilith asked as she slowly turned to look over her shoulder, her eyes sparkling with mirth. “You seem quite wound up by something.”
Zelda’s eyes narrowed, feeling her chest tighten at the very sight of her face again. She could imagine what the woman looked like as her mouth fell open, leaning forward to––
“Well?” the woman pressed. “Did you need something?”
“I’m fine,” she responded, adjusting her stance to look away, between the man who was requesting a manager and the woman who was still only halfway through her groceries getting packed up.
“I don’t believe I asked if you were fine,” she said, low enough that only Zelda could hear. It was said so familiarly in the same tone as she’d used last night, that Zelda felt a shiver run down her spine, as muscles became rigid with tension. “I asked if you needed something. You’re making a lot of noise for someone standing in line.”
Zelda glared at her, watching the amusement break over her face. “What do you think you’re doing?” Zelda asked.
“Making small-talk,” Lilith answered. “What do you think that you’re doing?”
“Waiting to purchase my groceries.”
Lilith’s eyes ran down to her basket and then back up again, “I see,” she said. “Had a chance to peruse my services yet?”
Zelda refrained from making any noise, though she could feel the strangled feeling of words piling into the back of her voice. But thankfully, the manager finally showed up to talk to the man.
“Oh, you have. And you’ve found something you like, haven’t you?”
Zelda averted her eyes, refusing to participate further in the conversation. If Lilith wanted to rile her up, that was fine. She would just look for another dominatrix too––
No, she wouldn’t. She wasn’t going to look for any new sex worker, because she didn’t need that service at all. Rolling her shoulders back, she watched as from out of the corner of her eye, Lilith turned away and chuckled to herself as she was finally granted the ability to be served.
Zelda pretended not to hear the small-talk with the cashier (commenting on the man who’d just left, shaking his head). And more importantly, she pretended that she wasn’t glancing out of the corner of her eye to watch Lilith as her items were transferred to a brown paper bag.
When the woman had finally left, she took a breath and sat her basket down, pulling out the milk and eggs. The cashier scanned them, she paid and then Zelda was walking back to her car, hyperaware that Lilith could be outside, leaning against a brick wall or her car in an attempt to seduce her.
But she wasn’t.
And Zelda was almost disappointed by that.
She drove home with the radio playing in the background, uncertain as to the turmoil growing in her belly. And when she finally arrived home and set the requested items on the table, Hilda walked over and opened the carton of eggs––showing that two of the eggs were cracked.
“Oh, that’s all alright,” Hilda said as she took them and placed them into the compost. “I’ll just toss them into the compost––still have a use in the end.”
“Quite right,” she said, before leaving her sister to get up to who knows what as she returned to her office, sitting down to work on her journal article.
Instead, she booked an appointment with her gynaecologist. She was overdue for a check-up anyway, and it had nothingat all to do with the Lilith because there was no way that she was going to engage in any further services with that woman, least of all sexual services.
She clicked open her word document, scrolling through the article and tried not to think about the way the woman looked when she’d flicked her eyes over her body, as if she could undress her right then and there and take her on the spot.
She closed the document down. Shut off the computer and headed upstairs, definitely not thinking of Lilith.

Hello there, I hope you're well :)) I was wondering if I could request a story with RAVN, an AU where the reader is an idol who debuted in another group. They were close friends from a previous company they trained in, parted ways, and have reunited again to perform a special stage with Trouble Maker (by Troublemaker) :O I hope that's alright with you, thank you! :))
Thank you for requesting!! I rewrote this a few times since I wasn’t entirely satisfied with how it was turning out *sighs* but I finally managed to write something that I thought you might enjoy, so I hope you do! I tried to make it gender neutral so that any reader can feel comfortable reading it !! (Also, watching the Trouble Maker stage again brought me great memories, so thank you for that
We’ve received many great requests lately that we’re working on, so if you requested something, thank you very much! As always our requests are still open! the groups we write for are in our bio and here are some prompt lists that can help you come up with a request!
Troublemaker - Kim Youngjo
Tumblr media
“And six, seven, eight. Give me one, two, and three and four...”
Sweat dripped from your forehead, but you gave your best and followed the voice of your group leader while focusing on making your moves as wide and precise as possible. The fast beat of the song made your adrenaline rush, but the moment the song ended you couldn’t help but let your body fall on the floor, just like your fellow group mates did, and sigh in relief. You were so tired; you didn’t think you could have lasted much longer on your feet.
“Okay guys! Great job today!” You all clapped and cheered, and your leader brought two boxes full of ramyeon cups and ice cream so that you could eat something and regain some energy before leaving to the dorm.
“Woah… we looked so cool right now. I wish we could come back right now… I don’t understand why we must wait any longer, we could do the whole choreography with our eyes closed! We’ve been practicing for so long…” One of your peers complained while waiting for the food to cool down.
“I guess they are planning to release something else before our comeback, so they don’t want that to sift the focus away from our new album. I’m sure it’s for our sake, so don’t worry about it.” The leader answered.
All of you nodded in response, agreeing with those words and feeling much more relieved.
"Also! Have you guys heard about that new show where they-“
Your friend was interrupted by your manager, who suddenly entered the training room with a huge smile filling his face.
“Hello! Did practice go well?” All of the members, including you, stretched your backs and sat properly while greeting him, “Ohh, you are eating! Please, continue doing so and don’t mind me. I just wanted to say that we have big news, so, if you could come to my office when you are done so that we can discuss that, it would be great. Now, enjoy your meal.”
“Thank you, mister.” You quickly finished the food and followed the rest of the members to the manager’s office, where he was sitting down between the main producer of the company and the CEO, who immediately stood up to greet you as he saw you coming into the room.
“Oh, you are here already, hello, hello.” He gestured towards the chairs they’d prepared for you, and all of you nervously sat down, glancing between the manager and the CEO, not knowing what to expect.
The CEO cleared his throat and kept speaking, “So… I heard the preparation for your next come back is going great! I’m proud of all of you. I’m sure by now you must be wondering why we have delayed the release of the new songs so much… That’s the reason we told you to come here. We have something to announce.” He shifted his sight to your manager, who took the floor from there.
“Well… the thing is, we are organizing a concert where you will be able to premiere your new song, kind of like a huge live spoiler, with a special stage that will hopefully increase your popularity while arousing great expectation and buzz about the new album.”
You looked and the rest of your members, who all shared bright smiles and sights filled with hope and excitement.
“A special stage! But… what will it be like?” One of your friends asked, clapping with joy.
“We cannot tell you the details yet… But one of you will collaborate with a member from a popular boy group. This time, we can only choose one member, but we hope that does not lead no any time of jealousy or hatred between members. We promise to bring you more opportunities like this one in the future, so that every one of you can have their own special stage.”
The members all nodded and smiled, not giving much importance to it, “It’s okay, we are grateful for the opportunity, no matter who goes on the stage, we will all be cheering for them.”
“But, which boy group is it?”
This time, it was the general producer who spoke, “we can’t say it yet, since we will sign the papers tomorrow morning, but I have worked with them before, and I assure you, you won’t be disappointed.”
The manager smiled and spoke up as well, “We will also announce the person who will go on the stage tomorrow, after lunch. That was everything we wanted to tell you, so please go and rest now, and we will see each other tomorrow.”
Your friends kept trying to guess which boy group it would be on your way to the dorm, but you didn’t think much about it, although… you couldn’t help but wonder… what if the group was…? No, there’s no way… You thought, shaking your head and trying to think about something else.
Finally home, you threw yourself on your bed and picked up a box of snacks to munch on while you waited for your mates to take a shower before you could do so yourself. You were reading a news article on your phone when it buzzed on your hand, signaling that you’d received a new message.
Kim Youngjo [23:14]: hey (y/n), home already?
It was Kim Youngjo, also known as Ravn, his stage name. Ravn and you knew each other for more than six years, since you had been trainees at the same company before. He changed companies and debuted with a boy group called Oneus, which was popular all over the country, and you also changed companies less than a month after he did and managed to debut with your own group. Sadly, you didn’t hang out together anymore, due to your busy schedules and fear of the nasty comments some people might make. Still, you texted each other pretty often, and you considered him one of your closest friends.
You sent him a picture of yourself, holding a snack in front of the camera and delivering him a wink. You knew he would still be in his company building, and you liked to tease him showing how comfortable you were on your bed, enjoying snacks while he still had to train. You would never do that to anyone else, but with him, it was kind of a private joke by now. He would always respond with another picture of himself, and this time it was him showing off his recently dyed greenish hair, drenched in sweat. He looked as if he was trying to frown, to show how annoying your picture was, but his smile proved he was not mad at all.
Kim Youngjo [23:16]: We are almost done for today… I’m craving snacks now!!
You kept chatting for a bit longer, until you heard your friends calling you and had to say goodbye to him. You were really happy for him, and obviously also for yourself, since you had been able to debut in a wonderful group which was loved by many incredible people. But still, some part of you wished you had more freedom, and could meet your friend and spend as much time with him as you used to…
You took the shower you needed after a long day of hard work, and while the warm drops of water ran down your skin and soothed your sore muscles, a wild thought came to your mind. It would be wonderful… if someday I had the opportunity to share the stage with him…
The next day started just like any other. You went to the main building, where you trained for hours until you had your lunch break and then went back to training. However, as you were on your way back to the dancing room, you heard your manager calling out your name.
“(y/n)! Did you eat already?” He rushed towards you, and you stopped walking and bowed at him politely.
“Yes sir! I was on my way back to practice.”
“Great! Follow me, please, I need to talk to you.” He turned his back at you and walked into his office, and you followed his instructions.
You felt your insides turn, even though you couldn’t think of anything that you’d done wrong. But if it wasn’t because of that, why would he be calling you to his office? Did he want you to advise him on which member to choose for the special stage? That might be it… If he asks me, I should go for our leader, shouldn’t I? they have worked so hard for this comeback… but what about our main dancer? I should ask him first if he’s looking for a dancer or a singer… Or could it be our rapper?
“…so after he comes you will have to start practicing the song together, but I know you will learn the choreography very fast, so it won’t be a problem. Ehm… (y/n)? Are you listening to me?”
You had zoomed out, so you had no idea what he was talking about, “Sorry, mister! I zoomed out for a moment… Could you… repeat that?”
He sighed and shook his head, rolling his eyes as he did so, “I swear young people nowadays never have their head where it should be. I said you were chosen for the stage, so take your things and wait for the other idol so that you can go to the practice room together.”
“I was… what? The special stage? Wait…” You kept stuttering and mumbling, trying to make sense of what he’d told you.
A knock was heard on the door, and a producer from the company came in, “Mister, could I talk to you for a moment? We need your opinion on this new idea…”
“Yeah, sure! We just finished here. (y/n), thank you for your time, he will be here very soon, so don’t worry, you have a lot of time to practice together. Okay sir, let me hear that idea…”
You left the room, confused about what just happened, and decided to head to the restroom before doing anything else. Once you’d finished there and had splashed cold water on your face, which made you feel a bit more confident about the whole thing, you went back to the lobby, where you ran into a familiar person.
You froze, looking at the boy who stood in front of you, taking in his dark brown eyes and the green spikes that covered his bangs.
“Young… Youngjo? What the hell are you doing here?!” Your old friend expression changed into a surprised one and his huge smile made him squint his eyes.
“(y/n)! I wanted to give you a surprise, that’s what I didn’t tell you I was coming to your company!” He laughed and pulled you into his arms, “It’s so good to see you again!”
You let your hands rest on his back and let yourself enjoy his embrace for a moment, “I missed you, Ravn”
He laughed, not used to you calling him by his stage name.
“So, which one’s the way to the practice room?”
“The… the practice room?”
“Of course! We have a stage to prepare for, don’t we?”
A thousand thoughts crossed your mind at that moment. You pushed him away with shock and looked straight into his eyes, “Are you… are we doing the stage together?”
“What? You don’t want to? I already practiced my part of the choreography… and I feel confident to say anyone would like to take your spot.” He smirked and rested his hands on your hips, “But I want you to be the one. Let’s make trouble together.”
You both ran into the practice room, laughing and dancing around. You flashed your hips at him while he showed you his part and sang the chorus of the song. And at that moment, you realized, that was all you’d ever wanted.
The day of the performance, the crowd went crazy. You had great chemistry, and it showed. Youngjo and you danced in perfect synchronization, his hands resting on your boding as if that was where they belonged. Every time his face was in front of yours, he would wink at you, and there was no trace of awkwardness, since you felt the most comfortable around each other. The fans went crazy when your hands travelled down his torso, and then again when he had his solo dance break, which you observed with pride. The song came to an end, and Youngjo took your hands into his and gave you the most heart-warming smile you’d ever seen. It had been a total success, and everyone loved it so much, they kept asking for more.
You’d thought you would never be able to go on the stage with him. But there you were, and, you had to admit, you were a killing duo.

3 Powerful Tips To Running Profitable Facebook Ads In 2021
Tumblr media
Sometime last year, a client came to me for help. She was frustrated because her Facebook ads were not converting.
She sold foodstuffs online and according to her, facebook was just chopping her money and wasn't giving her any positive results and so out of frustration and annoyance she killed the ad.
I then asked her a number of questions so as to try and troubleshoot where the problem was coming from.
Everything seemed to be in order including her targeting.
Then i requested for a screenshot of the ad she was running and boom! immediately, I saw where the problem was coming from.
The ad was dry as the sahara desert mehn!
There was no offer. Nothing to appeal to the prospective customer.
The ad read "Quality clean fresh and affordable, simply scroll through for our price list and send us your link via DM or list in our bio".
So I started by telling her the things she needed to work on.
Here are some of the things I pointed out to her.
I hope you learn something from it too.
1. Make your offer more compelling by giving people a reason to stop scrolling and look at your ad.
Our attention span keeps reducing.
If your ad doesn't cause some form of pattern interrupt in your prospects mind, Omo nothing for you o.
You have to Make them an offer. Mr Toyin Omotoso calls it a Godfather offer.
Ask yourself why should they patronize you?
One of the ways to do this is by putting yourself in the shoes of your prospects and ask why they should buy from you and not from the dozen other alternatives out there.
What value are you giving them that they can't get from any other place?
Offer them something..
We too like awuf..
Here is an example of something you could say:
I'll be offering 10, 20 or 25‰ discount for those who purchase in within the next..24 hrs, 48hrs...or free delivery for people living in so so so area.. etc.
You need to get creative and find a way to make your offer more enticing.
2. I also asked if she knew any food vendor who does something similar to what she does on Facebook or Instagram to which her answer was yes.
I then told her to:
a. Take a closer look at the ads from those people that got the most engagements.
b. Take the ad apart and see how she could model what they did on her own ad as well.
3. I also drew her attention to the fact that Video ads have been proven to convert more than images so i advised her to do a video showing people what she sells or if she wasn't comfortable showing her face, she could do a video slide showing images of the different products she was selling .
She thanked me and went on her way.
About 5 days later she reached out to me very excited. She had implemented a number of the things I told her and her sales sky-rocketed.
She was even rejecting some orders sef..
See levels
I also felt really cool with myself especially considering the fact that this time last year, I didn't know anything about how to run a Facebook ad.
What I thought I knew was just rubbish.
It wasn't until I enrolled for Mr. Toyin Omotoso's 72 IG program that I realized that I've been doing it all wrong.

FIRST SEASON
Our first season, the Dracula Trails Route and the ADV Bike Rider Magazine article...
Tumblr media
April 2018 was the start of our first season and by December 2017 we already had a few trips booked for the early spring and autumn...Nick has contacted us in early October 2017and requested do ride with us together with his group from Manchester UK. After a few emails the trip was booked and on April 17th we were travelling to Cluj Napoca to pick up seven riders.
Tumblr media
The plan was to ride the Dracula Trails Route https://www.transylvaniatrails.com/products. We had everything planned and ready to ride...Nick mentioned in one of his emails that he was in contact with someone from the ADV Bike Rider Magazine https://www.adventurebikerider.com and he advised that we should take lots of pictures during the trip...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The trip was a big success!
A few weeks after the trip we received an email from Alan ( one of the gents from the group ) with a link to ADV Bike Rider Magazine website...And there it was, an article written by Alan published in the Magazine No.47... WOW!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We made a few new friends and we have been lucky to ride together several times since 2018.....
Full article from the Magazine bellow: What's the first thing you think of when it comes of Transylvania? Castles? Sure. The birthplace of Dracula? Certainly. Trail riding? Probably not, but maybe it's about time you should. Seven of us booked a two-day tour with Transylvania Trails in the middle of April this year. The all-inclusive price covered accommodation and food for three nights, bike hire, personal protective equipment/clothing and guide for two day's riding. All that was left for us to do was turn up eager to explore the best that Transylvania had to offer.
Our guide Gabriel ( Gabi ) collected us from the airport at Cluj and took us to what was our base at Nucet, near Sibiu. Bio Haus Cioran Guest House is a larged timber framed chalet baking onto an orchard with forestry beyond. Gabi introduced us to our hosts Mioara and Emil who showed us our rooms. Back downstairs, beer in hand, Gabi showed us the bikes and explained the differences between the Sherco 300 and the "Factory" edition. The nine bikes were lined up at the back of the house, all clean and shiny, lying in wait for our adventure. "Shall we help you lock them away"? we asked? "No need", was the reply. "They'll be fine here". Not like in the UK.
The food at Bio Haus is home made and homegrown traditional romanian fare. Romanians love their soup and each meal started with a bowl so big you could have skipped the main meal and not been hungry. Homemade wine and schnapps completed the delicious three-course meal.
The next morning, after a substantial breakfast, Gabi gave us our riding equipment, including helmet, boots, shirt, trousers, body armour, gloves and goggles. Most of the kit was brand new and we had to take it out of the bags and take the labels off before using it. We then had a pre-ride briefing, where Gabi told us about the bikes, about following his wheel tracks as far as possible and about the dangers in the forests: wild boar, deer, dogs and brown bears! We were led along a track running right next to the guest house, following it uphill and into the countryside beyond. Gabi then left us in a clear- ing on top of a hill to get used to the bikes. Ten minutes later he was back, and we were off.
I had only been riding off-road for about 10 weeks, although I have had road bikes for the past 40 years, and have just bought a Honda CRF2S0L. The braking and changing gears standing up still felt new to me and, coupled with new moto- cross boots and the snatchy throttle of a much more powerful bike, I wondered how I would cope.
We set off over the hillside quite gingerly at first, but then the pace picked up a bit as our confidence grew. The Romanian countryside is quite ditferent to that in the UK. There are no fences or walls and what livestock we did encounter was herd- ed together by dogs with a shepherd present. Gabi had warned us of the dogs prior to setting off. They are the size of Pyrenean mountain dogs and chased us away if we got too close to the sheep. Andy, our most experienced rider, was frightened of dogs so he employed the tactic of putting other bikes between him and them as they chased us. This meant he wasn't picking the best line or concentrating fully and, of course, he subse- quently fell off. At that point, the dogs had fortunately lost interest in him and returned to the flock.
Once Gabi judged we were more comfortable with the bikes we entered the forest. For most of us, this was our favourite section. It was quite open and well lit, with very few bushes. The ground was soft and loose, covered with leaf litter while a few hills, streams and a little mud kept things interesting. In short, it was perfect.
Gabi explained that most of the countryside is state owned and the farmers rent the land for 99 years. There are some private properties, but it seems by and large that you can ride where you want. Having said that, Gabi then showed us a valuable lesson. After a fast-open section, he stopped and gathered us around. We rode slowly a little further and stopped at what appeared to be a small drop. In fact, what lay before us was a sheer drop of at least 30m!
A short road section through a traditional Romanian village led us to a fortified church on a hill. This was to be our lunch stop. A lot of the roads in this area are dirt and the drainage is by a ditch on either side. Don’t even think of lampposts and footpaths, as they don't exist. Nobody in these villages has cars, but there are one or two horse-drawn carts.
Everyone in the villages seemed pleased to see us. The old men sitting under the shade of the trees waved while the barefoot kids at the side of the road put their hands up for us to high five as we rode past.
We took off our riding gear, hung it up to dry and lay on the grass for 10 minutes to get our breath back while Gabi re-fuelled the bikes from containers he had previously dropped at the church. We were led into a traditionally decorated stone room within the restored fortified walls where a table was laid for our midday meal. All meals here are sit down three course aftairs. Soup, of course, traditional chicken stew, and cake, which seemed to be made from cheese and currants.
We set off again, this time at a more leisurely pace, and after about an hour one of the bikes seemed to be starting with a clutch problem. The bike had only done 150 miles from new, but Gabi decided rather than have a problem in a remote area we would wait in a village for a replacement bike. A quick phone call and 45 minutes later, his father-in-law arrived with a replacement bike in the back of a pickup. Gabi has designed each tour to incorporate as much varied terrain as possible. By this time, I was feeling more comfortable on the bike, getting used to the immediate power delivery, even in ‘soft' mode, which I was learning could get me out of trouble where my CRF would bog down and stall. Standing up on the pegs all day was taking its toll, however, and the shoulders and back were beginning to ache.
A lot of the soil in the Transylvanian Highlands is red clay. Even where it was dry, the farm tracks we encountered were slippery. In fact, when we came across deep, wet ruts (my nemesis) on an uphill section, it was almost a relief to gently fall otf, coming to rest in the bushes, which stopped me from rolling down a steep slope. I looked at my back wheel, which had turned into a clay coloured slick. No wonder. More mead- owland, wilderness, and farm tracks followed and at 9pm we emerged from the forest to arrive at our lodgings for the night in Sighisoara. This small town is dominated by an imposing castle on a hill that was once owned by Vlad Dracul or, as we know him, Vlad the Impaler, the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Drocu to. In these parts, he is known as a hero as he was al-leged to have persecuted only those ‘nobles' who were taking advantage of their position to thedetriment of the ‘peasants'.
We pushed the bikes into the courtyard of the little bed and breakfast we were to stay at. Once showered, we walked across the road to a traditional Romanian restaurant where we were shown to our table in the basement. Gabi interpret- ed the menu for us and, of course, there was soup. Andy was intrigued by a starter that Gabi described only as lard. Once it arrived, it turned out that it was indeed a small bowl of lord sprinkled with paprika! It came with a side salad, which he left. All the food was locally sourced and homemade. We left the restaurant just before midnight and it seemed fitting that Gabi gave us a guided tour of the castle.
The next morning, one of our group wasn't feeling well and decided to give it a miss. The rest of us set off back to the first night’s base via a different route, all off-road of course.
The previous evening, Gabi had asked us what kind of riding we wanted to do that day and one of the group had mentioned hills. “Ride across that field as fast as you can. By the time you hit the jump you need to be flat out in third gear, then enter the forest and keep going straight uphill”. Easier said than done... The best I managed was two thirds of the way up before stalling, falling oft and tumbling about torn before I could even stand up. Exhausted after my third attempt, I took the chicken run around the side of the hill. I was learning all the time. Choose your line, head up, weight forward and use your clutch. If I'd had the energy to go a fourth time, I might have made it.
The afternoon of the second day was what life's memories are all about and it was an afternoon I will remember for many years. Riding standing up, flat out across miles of undulating open meadow land with the forest on one side and the stunning snow-capped Carpathian Mountains on the other was bliss. It's hard to keep your eye on where you should be going with views like that.
We all loved riding in the forests and so that's where Gabi took us to finish off the second day, weaving in and out of the trees, up and down the hills and through the streams.
Every now and again we'd catch a glimpse of a deer as we startled it and it ran away. Fortunately, no brown bears though. The second day ended at the place where it all began; where we had been practising on the bikes when we first got them. We were back to Bio Haus for 6pm, where Emil was preparing that evening’s barbecue. We parked the bikes and collapsed on the sprawling porch overlooking the orchard, tired and aching, beer in hand. We had ridden 180 miles, all off-road. Had we enjoyed it? Well, as soon as we got home we booked to go back again in September. This time for three days instead of two. I’d better hit the gym.
The Transylvanian Highlands is a stunningly beautiful area, completely unspoiled. The riding can't be compared to anything we have in the UK. My green-laning experience, for example, is limited to rocky tracks in the Peak District and is completely unlike the open rolling countryside or the technical hilly forests we traveled through.
The whole area is steeped in history as, time after time, the country has been invaded and the various occupants have add- ed their traditions and culture. Tourism in this area seems to be in its infancy and the general thrust seems to be for skilled craftsmen to restore buildings using traditional materials and methods. There also seems to be conscious effort for the tour- ism to benefit the local towns and villages, and we'd implore you to see what its about. You won't regret it.
