My main goal with the swaps is that they should be a dramatic difference! Like Jade in Citrinne's finery or Vander wearing something revealing. Engage is just one of those games where the boys are mostly fully covered while the girls are more exposed, so it's very easy to do a boy < girl < boy < girl swap. But also yes. Abs. Nice.

sometimes you read something and youre like why am i reading this what is the point and sometimes you read something and its like there is virtually no plot but i am simply reading to see this one guy completely fail at everything

#the fact that first reading tcf is like the first one is so funny to me #i remember reading the comments going the plot starts really rolling around 100 chapters in #and thinking if it takes 100 chapters for it to get good then is it really that spectacular?#and then when i was reading it i was like #theres literally nothing happening but somehow its intriguing?#and i want to keep reading just to see this guy fail like truly i was reading tcf bc it was reading as a comedy to me #which it kind of is but i wasnt considering any of the serious aspects #despite the fact it was what was keeping me reading bc the little hints of something more #the funny was just enough for me to jot get bored and say fuck it #and then of course when it suddenly got supremely interesting no funny necessary and i was like wow this is really good actually #and u know what the comments were right it really does suddenly get good at 100 chapters #which isnt to say the first 100 chaps suck ass its just like extremely long set up #anyways this is bc im trying to figure out the plot of color of magic beyond there is an insane tourist and a poor wizard needs to keep him #alive bc the gods are fucking with him #not to say i need there to be something more bc im very happy with just this but it got me thinking abt what the rest of the series is abt?#like IS there an overarching plot or is it just books abt random little guys we follow and laugh at #im fine with either but the curiosity is killing me and i have neither the time nor the money to read the rest of the series #michi tag #im not even halfway thru the first one but i know i wanna read more #anywaysss

Coincidentally my usable warp is like exactly as long as my dining room. Point is tho, i am finally done thank fuck

#already snipped them #need to wash them still. guess ill just do a load of laundry later #now i just have like 12 hours of cleaning #not sure why i did all of this all at once right at the beginning #i had in fact planned to pretend these were cleaning breaks and interspersed them. and then forgot #oh well #definitely realizing i should have done more weft stripes. only did them in the last two bc i thought changing colors all the time #would be a pain #it wasnt tho and also it looks a lot better #the ones that are just warp stripes (most of them) look very plain and boring #which is a little gutting tbh #couldnt really tell when its just the amount visible on the loom at any given moment but laid out flat its like. hm. ok #idk maybe she'll use them more if theyre boring and ugly ?#altho she's not the kind of practical handmade gift reciever who is like 'oh its too pretty to use i will tuck it out of sight forever'#so i guess its a moot point #idk. its fine. she doesnt have a ton of towels or dish mats anyway #weaving #cats tw #(thats their food board and one of many water dishes)#wow actually i thought i got like 5 or 6 #literally only 4 #and the first one is a mess that i am keeping bc i didnt hemstitch it and im certainly not gonna hem it today #the last one was just supposed to be an ugly washcloth for me but i may give it to her bc otherwise its only 2 ?#or maybe i have 5 ? ive literally already forgotten and i cant tell from the picture

#jic ur wondering why all of them are drawn w that same arms out legs semi open pose #do i obsessively worry about this to an unhealthy degree? yeah #do people not verbally tell me that seeing me draw the same pose over and over again is Boring or Lame or stupid or smth? yes but i get #like. stupidly anxious and start thinking about things like that which i obviously know probably isn't the case and that in actuality #no one cares about how i draw more than i do #but it's still difficult not to ruminate on thoughts of people subconsciously rolling their eyes at my art because its so plain and boring #and static and stiff and it doesnt feel lively and dynamic like the artists i aspire to be like #but then i also remember im only just starting my art journey. by this year I'll only have been drawing for 4 years. 4 YEARS.#which seems like alot honestly? especially w the progress I've made #but most; if not everyone who isn't me have spent 7+ YEARS of drawing and i remind myself that. oh #yeah! im on the same path they were #maybe they had the same issues i did #but ill get through it :) i want to experiment more this year w my art #i say that but i need to COMMIT #i need to commit. to actually put in effort to learn posing and perspective instead of trying to lazily scrawl color on a digital canvas #but it all seems so daunting #but; you know; in time it'll come. seeing the difference only a few months has done to my art is also truly refreshing #it lets me know that im still learning and improving my technique and that really helps iron out any anxieties i have.#sorry this got super rambly super quickly lol
