Hey Roddy. Do you take Chrobin prompts during Nanorimo? My brain is feeling a little wingfic, so. "Everyone has wings, but they aren't always out. Chrom asks Robin to unfurl hers after Southtown, and she has six." ...It's fine if you don't want to. I just, y'know. *Waves hands* Them.

Honestly, my NaNo performance this year is absolutely atrocious and I'm using it mostly as trying to get myself to get up and write again - which is to say I would write literally anything and count it for NaNo right now. Anyway I was casually chewing on this thought for like two days before I suddenly figured out an angle to come at it from that made me really want to write it...which ironically produces a story where the single scene you have pictured cannot happen.

Chrom has never met someone who doesn’t have wings; that doesn’t mean he’s never met someone whose wings he’s never seen. It’s polite to keep them folded out of the way so as to not bump into people in the streets or take up too much space in the barracks; it’s a fashion in Ylisstol to wear cloaks with hoods or cowls that obscure all but the largest wings into shapeless fabric. Of the Shepherds, Ricken in particular wears mages’ robes to hide the fluffy fledgling down that marks his age, and Sumia says that fabric over her wings keeps her mindful of what she’s doing with them and stops her from absentmindedly knocking them into things - most of the time, anyway.

So the stranger unconscious in the fields with no memory might be a notable oddity for all of the aforementioned reasons, the baggy hooded coat does not stand out as a peculiarity.

Her name is Robin. Like the birds.

The masked swordsman, Marth - swordswoman - whatever - has dark, glossy blue-feathered wings. She fights with them spread, like a goose flapping and screeching to drive away a threat. Like an eagle swooping low, coming in for the kill.

But when the assassins are dead and Emmeryn is safe, Chrom runs after the masked prophet to thank her, offer her anything in thanks, and he finds her with her wings folded to her back, small, like a sparrow, alone in the dark.

Taguel don’t have wings. This makes sense to Chrom, and the fact that Panne prominently displays her winglessness by not wearing any draped clothing across her back - or even much clothing at all, really - is still only one of her second or third most eye-catching traits.

Absolutely mortified as he is about walking in on Robin in the bath, and trying for both their sakes to put any sights he may have seen out of his memory forever, it takes until the next day, looking at her across a map as they discuss strategy, to realize something.

He is pretty damn sure that she didn’t have wings.

Manakete, unlike taguel, have wings in their human form. Manakete, unlike humans, have not a feather on their body; Nowi’s wings are leathery, like a bat, like a wyvern, like her dragon form.

Flying is difficult enough simply carrying the weight of one’s own body. Adding armor and weapons, even moreso. Wyverns and pegasi remain invaluable companions off and on the battlefield for such reason (even if Ylisse doesn’t have any corps of wyvern riders). A careful rider with a strong bond with their steed should only have to use their own wings to slow their fall if they are extremely unlucky.

Phila and her knights are unlucky, and the Risen archers keep firing even as they fall.

And Gangrel laughs. Gangrel stands holding a pike, upon which are impaled a pair of severed wings. Even from a distance, Chrom knows those tan speckled feathers. He’d know them even if, next to him, Lissa’s wings weren’t patterned the same.

Emm falls. And Chrom flies, forgetting the archers, forgetting everything except the need to save her, but she falls faster than he can fly and arrows fly faster than he does. He barely notices the first two tearing through his wings, but by the third, Basilio is in the air with him pulling him back to earth. Robin clings to Lissa, holding her to the ground, holding her face against her shoulder, stopping her from following and from seeing.

But Chrom gets a last glimpse of his older sister before Basilio drags him away.

In Ferox they plan; their rescue failed, but they will not fail to topple Gangrel from his throne. Chrom has the faith of his Shepherds, the might and support of the khans, and Robin’s tactical guidance. He has Emmeryn’s dream for peace.

But they do not march for Plegia yet. And when Chrom closes his eyes he has the memory of Emm’s body lying broken on the sand and stone and the bloody stumps of her dismembered wings protruding from her back.

Sleep is hard to come by.

He finds Robin still in the war room, pouring over maps and markers. “Didn’t Flavia and Basilio say that we would start determining the specifics of our strategy in the morning?” he asks, even though he suspects that in the dark and in the silence, Robin hears Lissa’s scream the way Chrom watches Emm fall.

Robin starts at the sound of his voice and she reaches immediately for her coat, draped over one of the chairs instead of her shoulders. Then she looks back up at him and when their eyes meet, Chrom thinks of the promise that she made to him, that she would stand at his side and help him be worthy of Emmeryn’s legacy. Her fist slowly unclenches from the fabric and her hand moves back to the markers on the table, but her eyes linger on Chrom’s for a little longer. “I need to have at least some idea of strategies to suggest,” she says, turning her attention back to the map.

Without her coat, when she leans across the table to grab a book from the other side, her lack of wings is obvious. Her shirt, cut low in the front and back, exposes her shoulders and some of her back; he can’t help but notice the lack of even the stubs of wings amputated, or even any scars that could indicate a complete removal.

“You can say something, if you like,” she says, paging through her book. Her words could indicate a challenge she intends to bite back on - he remembers that unfortunate conversation about whether or not she could be termed a “lady” - but now, lately, with all of this weight they carry, he doubts it.

“You probably don’t even remember, do you?” he asks.

“I don’t,” she affirms, and that is the end of their discussion of that matter.

The dust settles over the scent of sweat and sand and singed feathers. Chrom steps on a reddish-brown plume that might have fallen from Gangrel’s wings. Robin stands at the crest of a hill, looking up at the carrion birds circling over the battlefield, ready to alight upon the corpses and add their feathers to the mix. Her expression is one he’s not seen worn on her face before and it’s hard to place. Wistful?

Chrom has a lot that he wants to say to her, but the first words out of his mouth, with a flap of his still-bandaged left wing, is, “Once I’m healed, I can take you to see Ylisse from up there.”

“I think I’d like that,” she says.

Most children are born without even a bump of what will develop into their wings. They usually start to emerge at the same time as a baby’s first teeth.

Robin wonders if her daughter will inherit her condition.

She wonders if she will know by the time she comes back from war.

Validar, the new king of Plegia, looks identical to the leader of the assassins who attacked Emmeryn in Ylisstol.

The hierophant of the Grimleal looks almost identical to Robin but for her wings; three on each side, long and thin with feathers of such a rich black that they appear purple in the light.

Little lady Marth has a sword identical to Chrom’s and a Brand in her eye identical to that of baby Lucina’s. Little lady Marth is Lucina, no longer a baby, from a time yet to be, and the story belies belief but is too outrageous to possibly be false. The beautiful warrior who stands before her is Robin and Chrom’s daughter, and how could she be anyone else, when she looks so much like her father, her hair, her eyes, her wings with blue feathers darker than Chrom’s, almost black in the moonlight. Robin smooths down a few of her rumpled feathers.

“I’ve been wondering if you would have them,” Robin murmurs, “or if you would be like me. I’ve wondered if it might be hard for you.”

“You have?” Lucina asks. “I would have been okay, because you were okay, and you’re my mother.” She blinks fiercely and presses the back of her hand to her mouth. “Mother… you have no idea how much I’ve missed you.”

Without heavy weapons or armor, mages would, in theory, be better suited to flying under their own power during combat. Like a divine storm of lashing winds, raging flames, and crackling lightning from above - but archers are an even greater threat to unarmored mages than they are to armored pegasus and rider. And magic, Lucina has been informed by Laurent, takes a great deal of concentration and conscious thought; add to that the focus required to remain airborne and steady enough to properly aim a spell, and the exposed position it puts oneself in, and the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. Cynthia agreed, saying that she would only be carting a tome around in the air if her pegasus was carrying her; Morgan attempted to train himself as a “flying tactician-magician” for two days, during which he shot nearly all of their companions with lightning. He acquiesced that it was indeed incredibly hard to aim while flying.

Gods, Lucina misses them all so much. She thinks of them as she tries to comb dirt and ashes out of her wings. They took care of each other, the way she sees their parents do now; anyone who needs help preening their wings will find it. Even from Nowi or Panne. Even for Henry, who only so recently fell in with the Shepherds. Just as even Severa and Gerome relented quickly to assistance. They took care of each other.

The memory of their companionship hurts worse now that she is no longer alone.

“Do you need help, sweetheart?” Robin asks, and Lucina, contorted as she is trying to reach the base of her wings, nods.

“I wasn’t sure when you learned how to care for wings,” Lucina admits once her mother has seated herself behind her. “If it was before or after mine came in.”

Robin hums. After a few minutes she asks, “Do you know if I ever knew the reason why I don’t have wings?”

Lucina shakes her head, then says, “Not that I knew. I asked you when I was young and you just said that people are all different; some have Brands and some have wings and some don’t, just like some people are dragons and some are rabbits.”

“That sounds like I didn’t know why,” Robin says.

“Or maybe I was too young for the real answer,” Lucina says. “I was still rather young when…”

She doesn’t want to finish the thought, but she knows her mother knows how that sentence ends, regardless.

Morgan has black-feathered wings. He runs to hug Robin when he sees her, but with his arms around her shoulders he freezes for a moment before he fully leans into the embrace. Like for an instant he was confused. Like something he expected wasn’t there.

When Validar orders Robin to seize the Fire Emblem from Chrom and give it to him, she does so; her body acts against her mind as a splitting pain fills her head and sears across her back. Even after regaining control of herself, the pain persists, through their flight from the castle back to the safety of their army.

And that pain is still nothing compared to the horror of what she has done, and the thought of what else she could be ordered to do.

The sunset bleeds orange over the Plegian fields. At the outskirts of their camp, Lucina watches Robin shake off her coat to find, sprouting from between her shoulder blades, six wings.

“Mother?” Lucina asks. “Could I have a word?”

Robin turns. Her eyes are wet with pain but she pulls a smile onto her face for her daughter. “Of course.”

Her purple-black fathers are matted with blood, wet and scraggly the way a chick comes out of the egg. But even now, Lucina knows those wings. She saw them on a monster looming over her kingdom as it burned it to the ground.

It is easier to raise her sword when she sees such a plain sign of the Fell Dragon whose vessel Robin will become. She knows what she has to do.

Her resolve is still not strong enough.

The hierophant, Grima, does not set her feet upon the ground. She hangs in the air with the lazy flap of her wings; it seems as natural to her as breathing.

Robin has never left the ground under her own power.

“You refuse my gifts at every turn,” Grima says. “Grounded by your own will, when you could choose godhood. But if you won’t claim your birthright, I will take what has been laid out for you instead.”

They are the same, Robin and Grima, the tactician and the hierophant, and the wings on their backs cast the same shadows as the Fell Dragon’s do on the ground far below.

They are the same, and that is the key to the Fell Dragon’s undoing.

Robin dissolves into the air, and Grima’s bones sink into the ground.

Chrom finds her again, no longer a stranger, unconscious in the fields, with no brand on her hand and no wings on her back.

#the many paragraphs throughout this which i devote to worldbuilding is an example of how i approach some of these 'staple' fandom AUs #i can't just like. say they have wings now and go with it. i have to dissect how it would work #like re: pegasus knights and combat and everything i'm like 'well i have to pick this apart before i get back into the chrobin'#i started writing a soulmate au prompt set in my pokemon verse #the 'you see in black and white until you meet your soulmate and then you can see colors' variant #and literally the second paragraph i went on a tangent about 'regular' colorblindness #which was both in character for my first narrator and another example of the angle my brain comes in from #i HAVE to overthink it. this is just who i am as a person.

Fiery Emblem Opinions

Now that I have completed Fire Emblem Awakening I finally have two games under my belt to compare. I didn’t post much before since I had only played 3 Houses and even then I tried it because it was “persona like”.

Despite 3H being newer, FEA had things I really enjoyed about it. Even things I liked more than what 3H did which surprised me. 3H, while not perfect, does have a good bit of moral gray and I hear the entire series is good for this.

3H also has a better story focus but despite that I did found myself enjoy Awakening’s story more. It wasn’t written well in any regard but it was also just dumb fun. I think my brain automatically expects less from a story when Time Travel is involved.

I also found it easier to excuse some narrative BS by talking of the meta with @blackosprey

Such as Robin’s amnesia, in my first run I didn’t make an OC I made Robin as she is in other media. I wanted the “canon” Chrobin route to see how good it was.

So, as a result of this, Chrom fell in love at first sight for a Lightning Farron look alike. Him being too trusting is already a character flaw he admits too so that was funny. Then I learned that Grima actually got the past first and was the cause of Robin’s amnesia.

Meaning, Grima made the single biggest ironic move that sealed his defeat while ridding Robin of any baggage they had in the original timeline. Robin got attached to the first people she knew then married into the family.

It was priceless for me but I do see the critiques of the story others do. Dont think I dont’, I just wanted to get it out there that my first run was silly and I enjoyed it more than I shouldve.

3H in comparison has a better focus of it’s story and war but I left FEA more attached to its cast than 3H’s. I think this is in part to having a true OC insert which I made for my second run. Byleth is fine imo but it’s not the same as having an avatar you can partially make.

(it also helps that Robin/MU has an actual character with dialogue)

That said, I do feel the cast of both is a bit even. Both games have supports I hate and like and there’s not enough of likes to dislikes for me to view one cast as better than the other.

All I can really say is that I created a precious Chrobin family and move onto other things I liked.

In terms of gameplay I honestly did have more fun in FEA. I’m new to the series, I’m not that type of bright that can break a game on it’s tech either so I dont have any technical jargon for why.

All I can really do is say that I, as a subjective preference, liked that the units had more limited jobs. 3 Houses is cool that you can make most units anything but I also dont want to plot for hours on end for that many people.

In FEA you have limited routes and secondary seals which was more to the point which I found less taxing. I also really enjoyed the paired unit mechanic. 3H’s has adjacents technically but I love being able to pair or just temp-pair on the field.

In 3H you have to set that prior to battle and as a result I didn’t use it much as my little helpers didn’t usually do or gain much from it. FEA’s method has more reasons to bother and I appreciate that.

Especially in terms of mobility and support growth.

I also have a slight tangent about the weapons. I dont mind weapon durability but I really dislike that the ‘Sword of the Creator’ in 3H’s has to recharge. It’s such a pain to deal with when you have 3 to 4 free days a week in 3H’s monthly schedule story progression.

I was happier than I should’ve been when I got to use Chrom or Lucina and their Falchions. It lets me put resources to units who need them more and more important than that, it makes sense.

The Falchion and SotC are weapons made from the fangs/bones of dragons. Literal divine weapons- and yes I am actually making this nitpick. I found a work around for Byleth ages ago. It just bothers me ok!?

Anyway, I didn’t realize how much I’d miss Byleths time reversal. I play on casual because I’m a filthy tactics rpg casual but I do think the Time Reversal is a good middle ground.

You think casual is too easy but think classic RNG can be BS? Boom! Rewind that time. Byleths a god, they got this~ If I had any other nitpicks I would list FEA’s lack of such a feature.

Especially since this game is about time travel to begin with. What better excuse for a rewind button?

And I apologize again for this being all over the place, I used to write better than this...it’s late...I’m also out of practice. lol

I’ll cut to the chase, other things I liked were:

I liked being free of 3H’s monthly scheduling. It was a good entry mechanic for my Persona 3 loving ass but it’s honestly too restricting.

In turn, I really like that 3H gives me a ‘hub world’ to roam and talk to my allies. I noticed that FEA has a Barracks but it’s just not the same.

I wish, if this is ever redone, for the Barracks to be an area like Garreg Mach. I dont need anything grand, just let me wander and chat with full 3D models.

I dont care if the actual gameplay maps are sprites or models but I do now realize how small the maps of 3H are compared to FEA due to this model use.

3H’s does DLC way better. Having to go to the Outrealm gate to buy DLC was stupid. That’s just a UI mess and I dont understand their reason for this.

Yes I’m on record for hating 3H dlc story but I do appreciate that it’s accessible from the opening menu.

.....I think that’s it....hmmm, OH! I think 3H does dancers better. I used them a lot in 3H but Olivia in FEA is just too frail.

I’m not sure what else to say at this point really. I think both games are fun and great for entry points, both have things that I wish the other did, and while 3H’s story isn’t a grand epic I do think its done better objectively.

It has more moral gray and delves into things better compared to FEA’s blatant black & white and anime acrobatics. If this game is ever remade one day I hope they take at least some of this into consideration....

Lucina is best lord. I ended FEA wishing there was a different game focused on her. Like the ‘Future Past’ dlc but expanded into a proper title. She’s the best lord in either game to me and I feel more invested in seeing her save the future than being the future Trunks to Chroms Goku.

Future Past Update

I’m back! And I just finished the Future Past DLC. It was harder than I expected, I had to do a new fourth run just to make as much galeforce units as possible.

I wont lie, I looked forward to this DLC story more than the main one and I enjoyed it more than the main one. This feeling was to the point that I wish the game had BEEN this story.

It just works better as a narrative to me. If they ever decide to revisit Awakening in some way I really hope they do so with a reworking/expansion of this story. I want a Lucina game, I want to ruin Grima’s life and see Lucina and her friends pull a win.

I’m not sure how they would do the child units in such a story but I don’t really have much attachment to the child unit mechanic. I love the pairing system and marrying units off (the supports are great imo) since the stupid fun or wholesome interactions sells the characters very well.

It would be a bit harder to do the parent units also but each child has one canon parent so you could always just focus on those when Naga summons heroes from the past to help. (assuming you keep this story bit in the hypothetical Lucina game)

Soooo- yeah. FEA Is done for now. I’ll shift to Fates now and hope for the ‘Fire Emblem: Reawakening’ game that will never be.

Update

I finally got back around to FE:A and dabbled in all the DLC. I still think the Future Past is the best premise in terms of story, even compared to the base story, but it was definitely a frustrating experience. lol

I can see how people who love maps so hard they rage would enjoy them but I spent more time frustrated than enjoying myself. I don’t mind a challenge but a game loses appeal if I just stay frustrated. I don’t get that feeling of satisfaction from beating a frustrating challenge, just anger.

The silly aspects were fun and Awakening still proves to be the best FE game I’ve played. I just wish we had a Lucina game proper at this point…oh well.

who uses all the hot water: Minako, I cannot explain this thought but Akihiko seems like the guy who would shower in an absolutely cold shower. Minako meanwhile will turn the water up to eleven.

most trivial thing they fight over: “Akihiko you need a diet other than protein” “No.” Okay so here’s the thing, Minako and Akihiko are the type of couple to fight over the stupidest things but never anything serious. So it’s probably something insanely dumb like who destroyed the most Shadows in Tartarus.

who does most of the cleaning: Minako. Akihiko’s room is sorta a mess if I’m remembering the room explorations correctly.

what has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue: Minako watches a ton of TV and thus pays for all of it. Akihiko just watches whatever she does.

who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: Akihiko calls Mitsuru, because she’s probably his landlord.

who steals the blankets: MINAKO IS A BLANKET THIEF YOU CAN’T TELL ME OTHERWISE.

who leaves their stuff around: Again Akihiko’s room is kinda a mess, I’d bet he leaves his stuff all over the place.

who remembers to buy the milk: Akihiko? Remembering to buy anything other than protein? Nah.

who remembers anniversaries: Both of them. Akihiko writes it down for months to make sure that he doesn’t forget and Minako just naturally remembers because she remembers all important dates.

Who cooks normally? ...I wouldn’t trust Akihiko to cook. I really wouldn’t.

How often do they fight? Playful bickering? Probably a fair amount of times. Serious arguing? I can really only think of one in my headcanon, because I headcanon that Akihiko was the one who pushed Minako to make the right decision on New Years Eve, but it took a fight to get them there, so it’s very very rare.

What do they do when they’re away from each other? Akihiko does boxing and training, as well as his studies. Minako does her various club and school activities and socializing.

Nicknames for each other? Minako calls him “Aki” after their rank ten, and she’s one of few people to do it. I headcanon that he calls her “Mina” in return.

Who is more likely to pay for dinner? Minako has a ton of money after P3 sooooooo...

Who steals the covers at night? Again, Minako’s a blanket thief, she totally does this.

What would they get each other for gifts? HEY I’M SUPER FUCKING EMOTIONAL OVER THIS MINOR P3 SPOILERS FOR THE SOCIAL THING THAT SOLD ME ON THIS BOY. Okay so on Christmas Eve Akihiko buys Minako a music box which is a) The best item in the game (seriously, unlimited SP heals, it’s awesome) and b) is symbolic of a promise. Every Christmas afterwards he plans on buying her jewelry, as a promise to each other that they’ll both make it out and defeat Nyx and it’s basically his hope for the future and I love this boy so much. As for his gift, Minako makes them all, because Minako is super crafty.

Who kissed who first? I had to think about this for a sec and I’m pretty sure it was Minako who does this? I think???

Who made the first move? ...Minako

Who remembers things? Minako naturally remembers, Akihiko makes notes in an effort to remember.

Who started the relationship? YOU THINK AKIHIKO CAN START ANYTHING ROMANTICALLY??? You have to tell this idiot how he feels to start romancing him.

Who cusses more? Minako has surprisingly bad language, neither of them use a lot but I think Minako might a bit more?

What would they do if the other was hurt? Minako would beat herself up because she failed her team. Akihiko would prepare to kill anything in his path, anything in an attempt to bury his pain and lose himself.

Shuake:

big spoon/little spoon: Akira is a big spoon in any and all relationships and that’s final.

who uses all the hot water: Akechi spoils himself in some ways now that he can and the hot water is definitely a thing he can spoil himself with.

Nicknames for each other? God I cannot see either of these two using cutesy nicknames ever.

Who is more likely to pay for dinner? Akechi probably pays for most but there are at least a few times that Akira decides to try and pay.

Who steals the covers at night? Akechi, he gets colder easier if you want my opinion so he would need more blankets at night.

What would they get each other for gifts? Akira goes out of his way to find Akechi limited edition Featherman merch. Akechi gets Akira small sentimental items, because that’s the sort of thing Akira appreciates.

Who kissed who first? Akira’s the smooth one, he’s the one who kisses first.

Who made the first move? So Akechi confesses first, he absolutely does not expect Akira to respond but then Akira does and he’s like “??? Somebody actually likes me?????”

Who remembers things? Akira has a much better memory when it comes to smaller things. Akechi has a good memory, but his focus means that he doesn’t always remember when it matters.

Who started the relationship? Akechi

How often do they fight? Almost never. Robin and Chrom trust each other explicitly and know better than to step on each other’s toes. The only time they’ve ever truly fought was when it was revealed Robin was Grima.

What do they do when they’re away from each other? I mean...Chrom has a kingdom to rule, Robin has strategies. They both have friends to hang around and kids to take care of. They just kinda go about their lives.

That and they get him small things that make them think of him, like it’s more gifts from the heart than anything else. Chrom gets Robin memories. And I mean that literally, he’ll buy them things based on things that they’ve done. So even if they forget, they remember.

Who kissed who first? This is the only thing I’m pretty sure Robin did first, in secret, in the tactician tent after Chrom confessed.

Who made the first move? Chrom. Robin is not about to date during the middle of a war, let alone the person in charge of the army.

How often do they fight? I’d like to think after the conversation where Sky learns Yuuya’s a spy in PoD, they very rarely have a true fight. Most of them afterwards would probably come after Sylvia and Leone are born, and the two of them have to come to terms with the fact that if something happens to them then that fucks the kids but also neither really wants to stop trying to save the world, if they ever happened at all.

What do they do when they’re away from each other? Sky does a lot of training, or reaches out to contact Sera and do offworld missions. Yuuya does a lot of his spy stuff, or hangs around Hiyoko and Sakuya. (If Sakuya will let him.)

Nicknames for each other? Yuuya calls Sky “mon amie” which I guess technically he kinda does to a lot of people, but he gradually reserves it only for Sky when she does become his love. Sky meanwhile calls him “birdbrain” which started as a meta joke (because Yuuya’s a Hatoful Boyfriend character get it?) and an insult but gradually just kinda became this endearing name. Like if anybody else called him that it’d probably be mean but there’s no real other way to describe it besides teasing at this point.

Who is more likely to pay for dinner? I’m pretty sure Yuuya would want to treat Sky for dinner as many times as he possibly can, even if she doesn’t let him.

Who steals the covers at night? Sky makes extra efforts to share them, because neither of them are full cover thiefs. But on really cold nights she might steal the extra ones.

What would they get each other for gifts? A Keyblade Okay so first of all I have to just like...make this clear, I think in general getting gifts for each other is very difficult between the two? The nature of the world kinda makes it hard to do traditional gifts, so I think the gifts are less possession in nature and more like...experience gifts. So like for a gift they might take each other to a peaceful night where they can pretend the world isn’t ending.

Who kissed who first? Sky did. Mostly to make him shut up after asking for one. Mostly.

Who made the first move? Technically Yuuya did. I mean he flirted with her in like...the first ten minutes of meeting her.

Who remembers things? Both of them. As spies and heroes, having a good memory to do things is kinda a very important skill to have.

big spoon/little spoon: Luca is little spoon for one big important reason, he is absolutely terrified to like close Matt in in any possible way because he wants to avoid causing a panic attack.

favorite non-sexual activity: A part of me wants to joke and say Matt’s a corruptive influence and their favorite activity is stealing and sneaking but in all seriousness it’s hard to say. I’d honestly probably say playing sports together, since while Luca’s a huge dork, he’s also fairly good in shape and decent at several sports, while Matt you’ve mentioned has issues with doing less...active activities, so it allows him to keep moving as well. Matt also probably sometimes just does running and Luca draws him.

who uses all the hot water: Both do so it’s whoever showers first. Matt’s a little shit and probably does it on purpose to annoy people. Luca’s Luca and spends an hour in the shower so that uses a lot of hot water.

How often do they fight? So Luca is very even temperament over all. Enough prodding will make him upset but Matt tries not to prod him ever to that point, so I really don’t see it happening that often, so maybe a few times?

What do they do when they’re away from each other? Matt’s probably committing crimes, or I guess track or spending time with his family, Luca’s probably hanging out with Lila or drawing or practicing archery.

Nicknames for each other? Luca calls Matt “Matty Pie” once after hearing Dan do it, but never again. Since Luca never really uses nicknames for him, I don’t see Matt really doing them a lot for Luca either. Unless the codenames count. favorite non-sexual activity: Amusement park dates. Nina loves them in general and given they got together in a Ferris Wheel, it makes for a nice reminder of happier times.

I think for the most part, they’re fairly peaceful with each other after the ending of SW, but after Charlotte happens I do think there’s a brief bit of time where Nina and Nick end up fighting about their kids. Nina starts to realize their hedonistic lifestyle has had a bit of a negative effect on their kids and while Nick encourages a similar lifestyle Nina kinda wouldn’t agree with that one hundred percent and I could see that causing a couple fights.

What do they do when they’re away from each other? Nina’s probably over at Olive’s a lot, talking about whatever it is idiots challenging each other to balancing competitions do with each other. Nick’s probably spending a lot of time playing catch up with his parents.

Nina tends to buy him a little more understated gifts, but she also managed to help him get the greatest gift of all time, mortality, so yeah. That was a good one.

Who kissed who first? I haven’t read the scene in years but I can safely assume Nick kissed Nina first in that baseball scene.

who uses all the hot water: Yuu. Syrice is a quick shower kind of guy to me and Alex has been conditioned not to take long showers.

most trivial thing they fight over: Syrice fighting?????? The only thing I could see them fighting over is Alex trying to get Syrice to loosen up and be himself a bit more.

who does most of the cleaning: Both. Syrice probably is under constant pressure at home to keep things clean, and Alex is so used to trying to be a perfect child he works hard to keep everything neat and tidy as well.

For Syrice, they’re days where he met somebody who helped him grow out of his family’s shadow and so they don’t just remember them out of love for each other, but because of the amount of self love that they represent.

Who cooks normally? Probably Alex, he’s actually supposed to be a pretty decent cook.

How often do they fight? Alex is scared to raise his voice and Syrice is incredibly timid. When Alex isn’t trying to instill self love into Syrice I doubt they never fight at all.

What do they do when they’re away from each other? Alex is a reader, if he’s alone he’s probably curled up in a chair reading a book. Syrice is probably spending time around his family, working on some tech stuff.

Even though Tip isn’t too big, Nicole’s so tiny she really wouldn’t be able to be anything else but the little spoon, not that she complains about it.

While they both probably have them, Tip experiences them with alarming frequency I can easily imagine, especially post SE. Nicole very often is spending time up late consoling him.

Tip then decides that every Valentine’s Day needs to be that insanely fun and goes all out on it to make it the best Valentine’s Day for Nicole ever. It’s probably adorable.

Definitely Tip, it’s not that Nicole’s not affectionate, I just see Tip as that ridiculously affectionate puppy type character who follows Nicole around being adorable.

Sleep drunk Nicole wakes up Tip and starts bugging him about stupidly deep stuff while the boy is half asleep and all she wants to do is start cuddling him while rambling about this stuff.

When they get older, the conversations start getting more realistic deep stuff and happen a lot less sleep drunk, but Nicole still brings them up.

I really like the idea of the two of them just going out and looking at the stars and being adorable together over it. So both of them.

Sky functions as both, but prefers the day a lot of times. I see Yuuya very much as a night owl who can function during the day tbh.

Sky purposefully pretends to be asleep even though she normally gets up at the crack of dawn just so she can wake up to a few kisses from Yuuya.

8. Who sleeps in their underwear (or naked)/ Who sleeps in their pajamas?

Both are in pajamas most of the time, I can very easily see Yuuya as the type of person to fall asleep in his underwear a few times though without thinking about it.

16. Who is scared of thunderstorms?

Sky gets uncomfortable in them, but only if they don’t have a very sturdy shelter around them, otherwise it’s probably neither of them.

21. Who has an obsession (over anything)?

Do obsessions over younger siblings count because these overprotective siblings are both obsessed with their younger sibling’s happiness. owo’

27. Who takes a long shower/ Who sings in the shower?

I don’t think either of them would sing in the shower, and while Sky would certainly like to take a long shower, the life they lead basically forces the two into taking showers as quickly as possible. Never know when despair might be ready to fuck you over.

Both, but especially Sky, she’s super into reading and could spend literally hours pouring over a book.

“If lost return to Sky.” “I am Sky” They both know who the more responsible one is. XD

I think they’re around the same age as each other. As for height differences Yuuya’s taller than Sky for sure.

Sky wins the stuffed animals for herself, Yuuya tries to do it, and he probably could if she’d let him, but she’s too determined and also too good so really in most cases she just does it for herself.

Kat has them more frequently when her anxieties get the better of her, particularly when it comes to her near “failures” during the adventure.

...Chris has them so much worse though, especially after coming back to life.

Dorothy’s most dominant, Kat’s most submissive because she pretty much goes along with everything. Chris falls in the middle.

Chris is great for listening to both his girlfriends when they tend to be having problems, I mean he’s not always great at solutions, but he likes listening to them talk and/or letting them vent when they need it.

I genuinely see Chris with a candy obsession worse than my own. Dorothy’s probably the healthiest eater of the trio.

I’d imagine Kat and Dorothy both do when it comes to showing Chris the holidays, but Kat’s an Apprentice, it’s in her blood to go overboard on the holidays.

The closest any of them get is Kat runs a music youtube/vlogging channel.

Chris is just flat out in tears over it, and Kat’s blubbering herself while trying to console him. They both need Dorothy to calm the two of them down during the sad scenes.

Kat gets extra emotional though if it’s a Disney movie. Especially the scene in Bambi where Bambi loses his mom.

I feel like Kat and Dorothy take equal responsibility over this. Probably a bit more towards Dorothy than Kat though.

As somebody who has a difficult time being up in the morning at a reasonable time, Nina often gets deep emotional sleep drunk during the day, Nick has the reverse problem at night.

They’re both up for a good romance movie 95% of the time, but sometimes Nick will put in a horror movie just because when Nina gets scared she’ll choose to cuddle him. Good way to get cuddles after all.

Nina is smol, Nick is tol. XD

Nina has a Disney obsession worse than mine and that is saying something...I’d imagine both of them might also have a tiny sex obsession, just a small one. owo’

I had to give this one a lot of thought, but in the end I’m definitely gonna go with Nina probably bringing it up since she has the capacity to take things more seriously than he does.

...Height difference, Nick is like a foot taller than Nina.

Once Nina is awake, she is literally the most active person on the face of the planet and even Nick, who is not lazy, can’t keep up with her. Before she actually wakes up however...she won’t move from the bed. She literally has to be carried out of bed half the time if she doesn’t have a definitive reason to move.

Mirai/Fallon:

1. Who is the early bird/ Who is the night owl?

Mirai’s up bright and early a lot of the time, Fallon stays up wait working on some kind of experiment and is only up early if she has to, and has coffee.

Fallon big spoon, Mirai little spoon. :3

5. Who usually has nightmares?

Believe it or not, I give this one to Fallon. Mirai had a pretty okay childhood besides some bullying issues, and since she tries not to dwell on it, it doesn’t affect her psyche and while maybe post ST she experiences some pretty severe ones, overall the girl makes it out okay on the nightmare front.

I feel like Fallon, on the otherhand, has nightmares that would be terrifying to her and her alone.

Mirai’s a little romantic at heart and would love to watch romance. Fallon likes horror, but never puts them on because they scare poor Mirai. ;w;

This is literally Mirai the poor girl is probably scared of her own shadow sometimes.

Mirai hates the noise, but loves the rain, so she’ll often end up scared, but watching the rain fall down to calm herself.

I’M ALL FOR ROBIN HAVING A SHIT TON OF NIGHTMARES POST GRIMA OKAY. They’re just so scared of being possessed again and even though Chrom tells them it’s okay they keep having dreams where they killed Chrom again and again and again and they can never escape them.

Chrom gets super deep and rambly and sleep drunk in the middle of the night and Robin is just like “Chrom shut up go to sleep.”

These deep sleep drunk comments are of course mixed in with things like “I’m Naga and you’re Grima so that means when we’re together both the dragons are having sex right?” but you know he does have them sometimes.

20. Who is dominant/ Who is submissive?

Robin’s dominant, Chrom is submissive.

Well since Chrom proposes in game he probably asks Robin out first because they would never actually confess to him because of the difference in status.

Robin lends Chrom their cloak all the time because he refuses to dress warmly so he’s just out in the cold with one arm exposed and so Robin just throws it at him like “You’re going to freeze otherwise.”

Chrom, he uses them to make new memories for Robin.

“If lost return to Robin.” “I am Robin.” Lissa sees them in these shirts once, bursts out laughing, and literally never lets Chrom live it down for the rest of his life.

Chrom tries to win them for Robin, but can literally never do it for them so they end up having to win the stuffed animals for themself, and then for Chrom later when he sees one he wants and still can’t win the carnival game.

Robin is always doing something, Chrom has to convince them to take a break pretty much. Chrom is a lot more laid back, so he’s got a bit more of a lazy streak, but he’s still pretty active.

You’d think Chrom would be the worst offender of this and admittedly he’s pretty bad but no, Robin is so much worse about this because they just get their nose stuck in some strategy book and then just epically fail at keeping track of shit.

VanAqua:

1. Who is the early bird/ Who is the night owl?

Aqua’s very used to getting up early due to training since Eraqus always started training early, Vanitas very much loves the night.

5. Who usually has nightmares?

Both do. Aqua has a lot of nightmares after her time in the realm of darkness and Vanitas...he has like a billion and one from his time with Xehanort when the old man abused him.

19. Who loves to call the other one cute names?

Aqua takes to calling him “Van” or “Vani” a lot of times as a way to shorten his name, but for the most part neither one of them really uses any cute nicknames.

31. Who is more affectionate?

Aqua starts off as more affectionate but the truth is Vanitas is very starved for affection so once he starts getting it and figuring out what it is he starts giving it to anybody who gives him affection very, very frequently, and that includes Aqua.

33. Who would wear “not guilty” t-shirt/ Who would wear “sin” t-shirt?

Vanitas 110% wears sin, Aqua only puts on the not guilty t-shirt after he begs her to do it because he finds it funny. She gets her revenge with the “If lost return to...” and “I’m...” shirts. XD

Aqua, she had to convince Vanitas to go out and look at the stars with her the first time they did it.

So while Vanitas is super picky about his coffee to begin with and probably would’ve only drank it this way anyways, he purposefully picks the most complex coffee drink in the world, meanwhile Aqua’s just like basic cream and some sugar person.

He also purposefully does this and makes his orders worse if we’re dealing with a coffee shop AU and Aqua’s a barista.

49. Who is the driver/ Who is the passenger?

Vanitas tries to take the wheel but Aqua will literally refuse to let him drive because he’s kinda really bad at it, so she’s the driver most of the time.

50. Who is the hopeless romantic?

Aqua’s such a hopeless romantic, Vanitas wants to shake her view of this but really he fails and she probably does a much better job of convincing him of her own romantic view points.

who laughs when the other trips? Strelitzia laughs at herself when she trips. Does that count?

who pays the bills? Player gets more munny from missions, and never uses it if my munny amount is anything to go by so...

which one makes a bigger deal around the holidays? PLAYER GETS DRESSED UP TEN DIFFERENT WAYS TO SUNDAY FOR THE HOLIDAYS AND STRETLIZIA CRIES because like she thought SHE was bad but then Player comes out and it’s finally somebody who appreciates the holidays as much as she does.

who’s more clumsy? Strelitzia is the biggest clutz whoops.

who checks their daily horoscope? They both use the horoscopes because by some sheer coincidence on the day Strelitzia died her horoscope was shit and they’re both super paranoid about that happening again.

who’s the lighter sleeper? I’d like to think because being brought back to life gave Strelitzia a lot of trauma thanks to her death, and in turn it gave her a lot of nightmares.

who believes in ghosts? Both considering Strelitzia was probably some equivalent of one and they’re real.

SoRiKai:

who said i love you first? Sora, he’s just too free with them not to be the first to say it. He’s just sitting on the paopu tree looking at Riku and Kairi and is like “You know, I love both of you, right?” And Riku and Kairi just stare as they realize what he means.

who laughs when the other trips? All three of them. Worst case was Riku. He was in stitches over Sora falling one time, not that Kairi was much better then either but still.

who pays the bills? Kairi’s probably the most responsible of the three, not that I see them having many bills piling up.

which one makes a bigger deal around the holidays? Sora makes a big deal the Christmas after KH2 of taking Riku and Kairi to Christmastown JUST to prove that there is a Santa Clause and he keeps this up afterwards and goddammit Sora stop it.

who’s more clumsy? ...I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around any of these kids being clumsy.

who checks their daily horoscope? Kairi does if for no other reason then she likes to see what’s in store for the three of them and how wrong it can actually be.

who sings louder in the car? Sora and Kairi belt out duets and try to get Riku to join but the pain in the ass won’t. Admit your inner nerd Riku.

who is more up to date in pop culture? Kairi probably has the easiest time staying up to date simply because she wasn’t asleep for a year or fighting her inner darkness for a year.

who cries when the abused animal commercials come on? Sora is crying over seeing all their sad faces and wants to find homes for all of them Riku and Kairi have to hold him to the couch so he doesn’t leave to adopt all those crying dogs goddammit Sora.

who’s the lighter sleeper? I’d imagine Riku has a lot of frequent nightmares after falling into darkness out of fear of hurting the other two.

who believes in ghosts? I mean...they’ve already seen ghosts.

who updates their facebook status more often? When he has time, Sora does. Kairi’s very active on snapchat though with her boyfriends. Riku doesn’t do a lot though.

Chrobin:

who said i love you first? ...I’m pretty sure this is canon confirmed Chrom because Robin isn’t stupid enough to confess in the middle of a war.

who laughs when the other trips? Robin because Chrom isn’t that clumsy so when he does it it’s just him being really stupid.

who pays the bills? ...Princes have to pay bills?

which one makes a bigger deal around the holidays? Did you see Chrom’s get ups during all of the events during Fire Emblem Heroes, Chrom is ten thousand percent extra when it comes to the holidays.

who’s more clumsy? Neither of them are particularly clumsy but I mean Chrom did break a hole in the wall so what’s being skilled.

who checks their daily horoscope? Chrom does and Robin keeps telling him to stop but “No Robin you don’t understand I have to keep checking this what if something goes wrong???”

who leaves the cap off the toothpaste?: Sometimes Robin if she’s been strategizing late at night but for the most part it’s Chrom who’s stupid enough to make that mistake.

who is more up to date in pop culture? Robin keeps more up to date because after being amnesiac she does whatever she can to keep up with it because she doesn’t want to forget anything else.

who insists on going to see the newest movies? Chrom does it to make new memories for Robin but tbh I think she has some hand in it at least.

who’s the lighter sleeper? Robin is an incredibly light sleeper and this only becomes worse after she’s possessed by Grima because she’s so scared he might come back and force her to kill Chrom again.

who believes in ghosts?: I feel like after seeing zombies neither would be afraid to take the step further and believe in ghosts.

who does the grocery shopping? ...I don’t trust either of them with cooking, let alone shopping.

who updates their facebook status more often? Robin tells him to stop but Chrom won’t stop posting updates on facebook even in the middle of a war. Chrom why you’re gonna get them all killed?

who said i love you first? Sky did, Yuuya didn’t think he was good enough for her though he did say it a few times, but Sky was the one who didn’t care if he was, so she was willing to say it. Especially since she probably only did it to get him off her case.

who laughs when the other trips? Sky does it to Yuuya. Yuuya refuses to do it to Sky. Something about that kinda bothers Sky.

who pays the bills? I think despair world doesn’t need a lot of bills paid but Sky tries to keep up on any that do, mostly because they’re hers from Daybreak Town.

which one makes a bigger deal around the holidays? I feel like this’d be Sky. Yuuya likes the holidays but he’s never really had the chance to make a big deal out of it where as the holidays are always a big deal for Sky.
