To be fair, I said I'm neutral because I'm on both their sides and on no one's side.

The thing is, I can relate to both Juyeong and Dohoi for personal reasons and, at the same time, feel like taking sides would prevent me from seeing things from their respective perspectives.

At the end of the day, I'm watching QLs to be entertained and/or moved (if a show can thaw my ice, I'll love it forever). Whether that's through laughter, relatability, emotional damage, visual beauty, chaotic stories that I don't even know what they're about (I'm looking at you Chains of Heart and Battle of the Writers), seeing things from different perspectives, or something else, doesn't really matter. I'm here for it all.

So, give me a story with, in this particular case, a sunshine character who seems to have issues with authority figures (totally relatable to me, lol):

And a brooder stuck in an abusive familial relationship (also relatable to me, unfortunately):

Where the sunshine is taking care of the brooder's abusive father for reasons yet undisclosed (but I guess it's because it's the only way he could keep some form of connection to Dohoi):

And where the brooder ran from everything because it became too much (I mean, he practically threatened his father with a knife...):

Mix all of that together with a sprinkle of emotional pain and angst, and knowing both characters (more than likely) have their reasons for doing what they do, and we have one of my favorite shows right now (perhaps even my top 3 of this year, depending on the rest of the episodes), which is exactly what I would expect from Hwang Daseul at this point.

There is no way I can dislike either Juyeong or Dohoi.

Do I agree with all their actions? No.

Am I entertained/moved by them, though? Yes.

And, like I mentioned above, I'm here for the latter.

I don't personally care about discussing who is the best character or who is more wrong. Because, to me, no one is right or wrong. They've both made mistakes and taken actions the other one surely finds questionable, which makes them as human as fictional characters can be.

Besides, you can't have one of these characters without the other. The story would fall apart. There wouldn't even be a story.

Anyway... This was a long way of saying that I'm not taking sides.

Well, maybe his side:

Because he's fascinating:

We also know that Danny ‘is LITERALLY a ghost’ Fenton sucks at remembering his own intangibility while ALSO forgetting to look ahead of him.
