I saw on duchess bitch’s blog apparently the meeting Princess Kate had is a 3-5 year project doing research and policy based on the results from the big 5 survey
I don't know what is being said on that blog as I do not follow it. But I do know that this fandom loves to bitch about Catherine's Early Years work.
Again, let's talk about twisted expectations again shall we. The Early Years work has always been about research. Do you know what research leads to? Even more research. When research is done right, it leads to positive outcomes through policy changes at a national level. Which in turn leads to improved human lives. This is what Catherine is trying to do with her early years work. Her early years work isn't mean to yield a tangible result like a book or a TV show, it's meant to effect changes in public policy by driving public discourse over time. Her work is intended to have generational impact, and work of this nature takes years if not decades. For example, not everyone who is working in cancer research is going to cure cancer but that doesn't mean that their work isn't important. There is a reason why so many people around the world spend their entire lifetime doing thankless research. And none of them can do that work without funding or support. Catherine sponsorship means beaucoup money and beaucoup support from every facet of the political sphere.
Which leads me to another point. What is it about Catherine that makes her everyone's favorite punching bag? Pray tell me, what seminal projects did the previous Princess of Wales undertake during their tenure as Princess of Wales. Never mind the fact that Catherine's commitment to Early Years started when she was just a newly minted Duchess of Cambridge. Diana is remembered for her work with AIDs victims and landmines, these are causes she took on after she divorced Charles. Camilla is known for a book club. I guess how dare Catherine get behind a cause that is too boring for some. People act as if it's all she does, as if her other causes and engagements aren't enough to generate new content for bloggers.
So instead of shitting on Catherine for trying to leave a lasting legacy, for aspiring to be something more than performing monkey who cuts ribbons for a living....how about we actually uplift a fellow woman for having the audacity to improve the world for the coming generations.

This has probably been said before but I can't get it out of my head.
Devils Minion is Beauty and the Beast with a reverse ending.
Daniel (Belle) goes to a haunted mansion looking for someone else and finds Armand (the Beast). Armand locks him in the cellar for a while and then even though Daniel isn't being kept in the old house, he's still Armands prisoner for years because he can't escape Armand no matter how hard he tries. But, Armand eventually "lets him go" by not turning up for a few months, Daniel misses him, they fall in love. Pompeii is their ballroom dance scene. Instead of giving him a library he gives him a whole island.
The reverse ending is that instead of true love turning the beast into a man, the man gets turned into a beast.
(I really hope they watched this movie together at some point)
True love turned the man into a beast.
Anon, I will cry.
Actually this is funny because I've bounced around mermaid ideas; also Sleeping Beauty (for once I mean the fairytale) and The Hunchback of Notre Dame, but I never thought about Beauty and the Beast! Love that Daniel's the beauty here and not Armand, twist.
I like to think that after Daniel moved back in with Armand, they did have a spectacular media binge for old times' sake where they caught up on every film, tv show, and album that came out when they weren't together.

the sketch killed me but the colors made it worseeee. individually, i loveee dabi and hawks' color palettes, very beautiful very harmonious and almost monochromatic (+ with one accent ugh), but together they're killing meeee, very very different hues and i like my palettes very minimal so yeah
dabi's fist is too big and i wanted to add some flames but im not doing that you have to pretend it's there
the Lore is that this is set during s5 & i like to think they randomly start fights with each other to release some tension but also they genuinely want to beat each other's ass, especially dabi

things we learn about scully in s1
she has a godson (and she told his mother that she thinks mulder is cute)
she did her residency in forensic medicine
she's good with dogs and is naturally drawn to all kinds of animals (even evil-looking monkeys)
she wants to keep her christmas tree up all year because her father always made her take it down as soon as the holiday was over
(and she was never positive that her father, who was in the navy and involved in the cuban blockade, was truly proud of her, because she joined the FBI instead of becoming a full-time doctor like he had wanted)
((and he didn't say "i love you" the last time he spoke to her. ouch))
when she was 14, she stole one of her mother's cigarettes, which she thought was disgusting, but she wanted to do something Forbidden for once
she once forgot her own birthday (which is february 23rd) when she was studying for her exams
she has a little cat sign on her apartment door <3
when challenged by the preacher's kid, she refused to deny the power of God; she was raised catholic, and remembers that "God never lets the devil steal the show"
(she's almost always wearing a cross necklace, even while declaring that she considers science sacred)
((and yes, her favorite movie is the exorcist))
she took some biology courses on bugs and is now going to tell you some bug facts
she has two brothers, one younger and one older
her dad- with whom she did not have the greatest of relationships- nicknamed her "starbuck"
(he called her this after the steady and rational first mate character from moby dick; all the more cruel when you consider he pushed her aside for joining the FBI rather than doing the "logical" thing, becoming a doctor. to cast her in a role of the dutiful daughter without her permission and then create a conditional sense of love is just. so mean. it's a miracle she didn't turn out as emotionally repressed as he did)
