Tighnari's response is much like Alhaitham's. He doesn't hesitate and immediately starts planning around the delay. "You go and check the app. In the meantime, I will search for an employee who can tell me more."

Childe seems playfully offended and doesn't miss the opportunity to make a flirtatious comment. "How dare they do this to someone as wonderful as you?"

Cyno wants to ensure the proper procedures are followed and doesn't mind invoking the law. "Ma'am, I understand this is outside your control, but your company has given service that is not up to par with what was promised; hence, we expect to be reimbursed."

Still a goofy ass design. WHY DIDNT THEY JUST GIVE HIM PANTS? I dont understand. He'll probably never get a costume either since NO ONE FUCKING HAS HIM LMAO. His lore & personality are S-tier tho. Love his relationship with Klee and the brief time he was with Cyno.

I like all his VAs except his CN voice which makes him sound like... 8? girl what? Another rare L for CN casting director.

I fucking love Alhaitham. Hes such a dick.... but hes only a dick to people who step on his toes... which I think is fair. His design is terrific. i did have some pretty high hopes for him... and still kinda do since his design is so sus... but right now his lore is pretty underwhelming. Also hes one of those characters Id think look significantly better with a darker skin tone. Pasty bitch.

I like all his voices but JP is my favorite. KN is a close second.

SEE HYV you can make a sexy character that doesnt randomly show skin in weird places... Funny that. Arlecchino is great. Her lore is great, her personality is great, her design is great, her colors are great. Thumbs up all around.

His EN voice is my favorite... I swear i thought he'd be shadier than he is because his voice reminded me so much of James from Pokemon or Pegasus from Yu-Gi-Oh... LMAO I dont even have to listen to his other voices... his EN just cracks me up. His CN voice fits his personality significantly more tho...LMFAO

OOH CHIORI. I dont really care for most of the Inazuma cast TBH... but DAMN Chiori... its like she took all the good design with her to Fontain. Whyd she do that to them. Shes also a BITCH. Its so funny. There was a dude crying because he was grateful for something (I dont remember) and this bitch said '...EW' and I fuckin lost it. Shes so good. GEO never misses with characters its crazy. Geo characters are either perfect aesthetically or personality or lore... most of the time ALL OF THEM (with the exception of Albedo who looks like a fuckin dork but his personality and lore S-tier)

It makes me so sad... in the Windblume festival he said his subdued personality is from when he was a child and the people would judge him for being from the desert region... and that he only tells jokes to people considers his friends... but all his friends dont like his jokes and get annoyed with him. Why do they do this to him... he also has a little tree branch he only brings his friends to... HES SO FUCKING CUTE. The fact a good chunk of the fandom characterize him as some tough dom daddy for Tighnari is fucking DIABOLICAL work. Never talk to me of my son ever again.

Oh Diluc... my former enemy turned ally. I dont like how he treats Kaeya... BUT it turned out a lot of my aggression for him was because I was scared Qiqi would be the last standard 5-star I would get.... & it would take forever to get her... tbf it did take until Zhonglis 3rd? banner before I got her. And I got her WITH Zhongli and I have never been happier playing GI. Zhongli saved Diluc for me. I hope you appreciate that man Diluc. I also didnt mind that I got him instead of Chiori.... I wanted Chiori significantly more but... w/e. ANYWAYS great colors, great lore. If he stopped being a dick to Kaeya we might get somewhere with him.

Now I dont think Eis design is bad in the least but she just looks like every other female character in Inazuma. In fact she basically has the same exact silhouette as Kokomi but I like Kokos design better. They also kinda dropped the ball on her whole character... Shes never recovered from her second story for me. Still my least favorite Archon. I do like her relationship with Yae tho.

Furina is one of those characters that are annoying but its still hard to hate her cuz shes funny. (Like Fish) and i really didnt like her at first until her story played out... my poor hapless bitch. You didnt deserve any of that.... her design is great. I like her dark outfit significantly more than the light so Im glad its the more useful mode. Her relationship with Neuv is also just terrific.

Much like with Fish... her EN voice is best for me because its so dramatic and comically annoying. All her other voices make her sound way too young for my tastes.

I love Ganyu! I guess shes also in the running for sleepiest girl with Layla and Sayu. Shes super cute... I do have a lot of issues with her outfit design... just cuz it doesnt even look like an outfit. Thank goodness she got a costume... not that I have it but I also dont have her and I would never pull for a Bow DPS 5-star so i never WILL have her LMAO. Still love her to death tho.

I think Hu Tao is one of the best designs in the game. Its so simple but so effective. Shes so cute and cheeky. Love her. Her personality is also top tier. Im so happy she had such a confrontational relationship with Baizhu... cuz that was my headcanon for the longest time LMAO Cuz shes a funeral director with a massive respect for the life/death cycle and he wants to find a cure for death or someshit.... They had to have some sort of clash. And they did. It reminds me of that one Jojo meme.

I LOVE Hu Taos EN voice and her JP voice is also fun. Her CN and ESPECIALLY KR (have I been puttin KN this entire time...) voice sounds too babyish.

MY MANS ITTO. Such a fuckin idiot. His design and character are great its just a shame... when he was first leaked his model was super tall (way taller than Zhongli) which fits how people describe him in game but they pussied out and gave him a standard male design. We coulda had it all Itto.

I dont need to listen to the other VAs Ittos EN VA is just the best. The only way anyone else could have competed is if the JP voice was the same VA as Franky from One Piece.

I used to really like Jean.... but I dont really care for her anymore. Tho I think she looks better in her censor outfit she still inexplicably has the detached sleeves....

Kazuha is unfortunately a victim to HYVs inability to implement good cloth movement in the game. The shorts look SUPER goofy but I guess its fine.... I think he'd look better with his hakama tucked in like Itto & Gorou rather than cut short... but W/e besides that his design is great. I like when characters dont exactly have the color of their element and the autumn maple leaf design of Kazu is great. His personality is also great. Super chill in even the most tense moments... with the exception for when Xinyans family were nitpicking her and he got annoyed. RELATABLE CONTENT.

I have an EXTREME soft spot for Keqing... she was my first 5-star and she helped me so much on Dragonspine when I had no business being in Dragonspine. LMAO Detached sleeves aside I rather like her standard outfit but her costume is MUCH cuter and if I had the money... I would have bought it in a heartbeat. I also like her personality for the most part tho she does bully the shit outta you if you stop moving for .5 seconds.

All her voices are pretty good but I still have a soft spot for her EN....

Klee is SO DAMN CUTE. Does her pale skin hair and red eyes make her look like a bit of a troglodyte? YES. but.... I mean... w/e. Shes very cute. Shame about her kit being so fucking clunky. My greatest achievement is incidentally getting Kazuha instead of her... I wanted her for how cute she was but I needed a good Anemo so i figured a 5-star Anemo would be best.... so I got him instead. Then his universal appeal and fun play style really helped me for a long ass time and people begged for his rerun cuz they skipped him. NOT ME BITCH.... anyways Klee is baby.

I think Klees EN voice is one of the most egregious when it comes to the 'this is obviously a grown woman doing a baby voice' and it takes me awhile to adjust to it... but she does have moments when she shines... like the birthday song. Her CN voice is best.

As I said with Ei... Kokos design reminds me of hers but I think its stylized better. Combined with her in-game movements... I think shes one of the more interesting Ina designed girls. She does have a lot of HYV typical girl design elements tho.... Also her lore and personality really didnt meet expectations. SORRY KOKO. I am suspicious about her lack of pupils... Vishap ass lore ass...

This is just Albedo in a sluttier outfit. MEH. Lore and personality-wise hes actually great! I love his relationship with his family its really a stand out big brother (ok Hoebedo) vibes.

Mona my babygirl. I used to hate her based on her design. I just didnt like the swimsuit look... but like Fish I ended up loving everything about her and she got a censor outfit that is much better and now shes one of my favorite characters. Shes a goofy broad. Loved her in the 2nd Summer event.

Her EN voice is BY FAR my favorite.

My baby Nahida... youre design is so fucking boring.... and I knew that even before I saw your extremely good concept arts. Luckily her personality and lore HARD CARRIES her to top tier.... and also her kit. Her kit is also good... tho I dont get why she got a weird digital aesthetic? Theres so much good aesthetic designs in the Persian empire you could went with so much... howd she end up so boring... I dont get it.

UGH... on the opposite end of designs... Navias is fucking TERRIFIC. I actually love the dark navy blue with this goldenrod. I like her Princess Peach hair especially since in this Summer event she wore a Peach like crown(and a Mario mustache) her Lore is SO GOOD. I knew when she was added to the Summer event cast it AT LEAST would be better than last year the writers have never missed with Navia. AND I WAS RIGHT I loved this years Summer event. I think her character is what Kokomis character coulda been(impact-wise) in Inazuma was good. LMAO

Similar to Kazuha I sorta just incidentally pulled for Neuvillette since I had been saving to get Zhongli but my computer didnt come until the day after his banner ended so I was like ... fuckit. May as well get A dragon guy... turns out he was VERY good and I havent regretted it. I also managed to get his C1 and his BiS weapon... got super lucky as a reward for missing out on my C4 Zhongli that I had been waiting a year for...His lore and personality were a great surprise too. 10/10 would pull again.

I dont like JP voice... His EN voice is great but similar to Zhongli(hes SO SIMILAR TO ZHONGLI IN EVERY WAY) his EN voice gives a different vibe to his CN its weird. Theyre both so much more soft spoken... especially the fighting noises... whyd they do that? Weird. I love theyre EN voices tho so... w/e... at least they sound soft when theyre speaking normally.

The mellow yet audible exchange of the librarian and Y/n may fall under the radar of others, except for one. There's a certain bookworm in his usual spot, he clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Tsk, it's so noisy." The silver haired man closed his book before he promptly stood up and approached the reception desk. "Is that so Y/n?" Tighnari chuckled. "Your life seems so interesting!" he added, with a soft smile. Y/n laughed, her smile beaming. Before Y/n could continue her words, "Excuse me." a cold voice interrupted along with the slamming of a book. "I'd like to borrow this, please." Y/n looked over to see who it was and glared upon realization. She thought, rude much?

I'm sitting in my lecture hall with Gorou and Kokomi since we got there early. I lean onto the table in front of me, yawning. "Thank god school's been slow! I would've died by now if not." Gorou sighed, his tired expression only exaggerating the dark circles under his eyes. "Jesus Christ, are you sure you aren't dead?" I retort, and he shoots me an annoyed glare. Kokomi pats his shoulder, "No but really, you okay Rou?" Gorou sighs once more, "Being President is a lott.. they make me do so much stuff..!" he groans in frustration. "You know, for once I agree with you. I'm soo thankful it's been a pretty slow start this year. It gives me time to wind down." After I said that I heard snarky laughing from behind me, laughing that sounds all too familiar. I felt the anger inside me bubble up. "How lazy of the *top student* to say. Expected better from you." Alhaitham said bluntly as he passed by. I felt so done. "Oh shit- Kokomi, we should probably go. It's almost time for our lectures." Gorou said, tapping the other on the shoulder. I shot up. "What? No way- Don't leave me here with him please!" I joking, yet also seriously beg. Gorou hurriedly packs up their stuff as they get up, "Sorry Y/n! You're on your own!" he said as he dragged Kokomi out of the room. I slouched back onto the table, sighing. Alhaitham behind me, chuckling. "I hate it here." I mumble.

Our creative writing teacher was unavailable for today so, Ma'am Miko filled in for them. We spent a while discussing, normally I'd get somewhat bored but she was so captivating. She kept the discussion fun, engaging, and educational. It's not rare but it's just admirable how easy she makes it look. At the end she gave us an assignment. Unfortunately, it was in pairs. She hummed as she scanned the room, the pairs would be up to her. I got paired up with the girl in front of me, Beidou.. I think was her name. I hear a scoff from somewhere near me, "Goodluck to your partner." I whip my head around to face Alhaitham and instinctively start bickering with him. While I wasn't paying attention, Ma'am Miko was giggling and approached me. "Miss L/N?" I swiftly turn towards her, "Y-Yes..?" She has this smile on her face, I couldn't place it but it felt somewhat mischievous. "I think I mixed up your pairing. He-" He? "was supposed to be your partner." I blinked at her, and pointed at the silver haired asshole behind me, "Him? Alhaitham?" She nodded, "Is there a problem?" I shake my head. "Alright then, I apologize for the mix up." She informs Beidou who her new partner was before promptly returning to the front of the class. She discusses the assignment briefly, then dismisses us with copies of more in-depth instructions. I spot Diluc and Kaeya outside of the lecture hall and hurry over to them. "Did you guys come to pick me up?" Kaeya puts his arm around me, "Yep, let's go!" He says excitedly has he started dragging me out into the halls. {Outside of Y/N's POV}

Alhaitham let out an irate sigh at the sight of Y/n and the brothers. "There's two more now?" he gathers his things and gets up. He makes his way to the front, "Ma'am Miko, do you have a moment?"

Hello! I’ve seen your LR vent with anon; I’m a new genshin player, which means I’ve never seen the lantern rite until this update and I have enjoyed most of it except for the interactions when they were eating?

It just felt so OOC for some, namely Venti? Why was he even there?? And for the music festival? He wasn’t even there for when it happened! When he first appeared I was literally like “Tf you doing here??”

Also, the way they pretend to not know each other?? Maybe I missed something but why did they do that? I though it was funny but actually why did they need to do that?

Also, I found Hu Tao really annoying… I’m sorry for saying that but it felt like my middle school bully trying to be nice to me after she was reprimanded by teachers?? Maybe it’s just me.

I felt bad for Xiao to just be there without knowing what to do… pretending like he doesn’t know Zhongli? I though people knew that they know each other? Could be I’m wrong…

The singing with Xingyan and Hu Tao… oh archons… why?? It was a nice thing to include but it was just so bad?? Not anything specific about it, just overall…

Also I didn’t get why Zhongli kinda ‘demanded’ Xiao to call him Zhongli? I get its his new identity or whatever but it seemed a bit cold to me? It could be I missed something or the reason why he asked but it still seemed cold to me…

Back to Venti, I do really like him! He was the first character I liked when I got into Genshin! They just did him so wrong here… it’s like Venti was there and not Barbatos if that makes any sense? It’s just fannon Venti like it was said beforehand… I was happy to see him but he has no place to be there?? It made no sense for him to appear he was just like “Yah y’all eat here? Great imma join in! Btw, who tf are you?? I know 3 people here but oh well!” I was kinda upset by that…

Also Zhongli kinda passed me off? I really like him as a character but he felt so off to me… like he slept on the wrong side of the bed…

This doesn’t make me like them less of course, it just makes me mad they were written that way…

Also, where was Kazuha?? He should have been there! And Beidou and so many other people! It’s like they took the chargers in the LR and were like “Yeah just put them there” “But how boss?” “I don’t fucking know! You want to sit here and come up with ideas all day? Just do something!”

As a new Genshin player, I did like the vibe of the LR and the banter between characters but it was kinda akward…

Also, in the trailer for it when Aether joined Xiao to watch the fireworks; Cyno and Tighnari, for example, appeared but I have not seen them anywhere!

Regardless, I hope the next festival of whatever want make me feel this way…

About why Venti and Zhongli act like they don't know each other and why Xiao acts like he doesn't know Zhongli. Xiao is out as an adeptus everyone knows him by face and they know how old he is because he doesn't hide his identity. Meanwhile Zhongli and Venti want to live peacefully around humans so they keep their identities as archons private. None of the human characters at the table know about Zhongli and Venti being archons so they have to find some reason for them to talk without spilling the beans.

I feel like the only person on Earth that didn't find Hu Tao annoying at the dinner table.

Though the song with her and Xinyan was a choice for sure. I wish they'd just kinda had music play and then not had the two of them singing. Plus their stage name?? The Blaze Lilies?? Pft wow super original how long did it take to pick that corny ass name 🙄

I didn't like how Zhongli told Xiao he should be calling him Zhongli either. Like he's not comfortable with the informal name. Also love how they were having that conversation on the street for any random person to overhear. Great job protecting your old identity Zhongli.

I'd be nice if badly characterized Venti is just a clone or something that came to take the real Venti's place while he slept to avoid suspicion from the Traveler. But idk Venti felt like Venti in the trailer sooo.

This entire situation is something Alhaitham would dare to call a 'normal occurrence'. He knows Kaveh as the palm of his hand, being able to predict his movements and words as the other is easy to read. It also provokes him to miss the silence that previously was flooding the room. A sigh. His eyes focusing on the book, as the sound of the pages being turned complemented the rant. He was used to it, and even when it seems he's not paying attention, Alhaitham made sure not to forget any single word coming from his roommate's mouth.

Haitham could sit through hours listening to Kaveh complaining about his clients. A misunderstood and stubborn genius, a title that he had come up with whenever he hears the other is fighting, yet again, with potential commissioners. A little bit problematic, if someone asked him, yet at the same time, it was an admirable quality to be so true to his own convictions. The usual normal human behavior would be doing anything in exchange of cash. Not Kaveh. He always prefers to dwell in his own little bubble, complaining about being misunderstood and then having to look desperately for some mora to spend. 'It must be an artist thing.' Is the thought that Haitham usually gets in his head when the other starts ranting. A behavior he has studied for so long already yet is unable to grasp the root cause of it. Some things do not have answers though, that was the conclusion he reached. But something he learned? Kaveh really is one of a kind.

As he reads the book, Haitham follows his movements with the corner of his eyes. Barely noticeable, especially for someone as drunk as Kaveh who probably couldn't tell all he's doing is worrying about him. Such a genius, so dense. "I am not criticizing you. I am speaking facts." He retorts, eyes fully returning to the book, appearing unbothered as always even though deep inside he's starting to feel a bit annoying the other couldn't listen for once.

Haitham was no better than him, he usually also had a lot to drink, but at least he did drink under his limits. Kaveh? A light-weight with no sense of responsibility. How was he supposed not to scold him when the blonde acted like that? Pushing him aside had also been a normal custom to him. Haitham found himself being forced to act sassy and blunt for the other to remain comfortable in the house. He didn't dare to suggest solutions, or to even offer to stay for free as he would only feel more indebted. But... their relationship was far more complicated than that. Suppressed feelings and forgotten relationships, anyone at Akademiya could tell what they really were. Not a simple pair arguing at the library, as those arguments were often followed by make out sessions in order to remind each other how much they cared. That's no longer accepted. There was no space for Alhaitham to simply hold him and shower him with affection and compliments to make him feel better. At least not sober. If we were to do that again, it could probably make Kaveh to leave the house or stay at Tighnari's for a very long time. And as far as he's concerned, there was no need to burden the other scholar.

The erratic behavior is able to call Haitham's attention, an intrigued look appears on his face, but still quietly following his movements. It appears he is focused in the book, but in reality he's caught staring for a few seconds what Kaveh is doing. Taking everything off, it seems like it's finally time to sleep, leading him to believe he will finally have silence again. Or not. Haitham tries to predict what he is going to do, but decides to give up upon seeing what Kaveh was doing with his cape. Cute. He acted so silly when drunk, probably the few times he is able to see him acting so lively without caring about the burdens being carried on his shoulders. And for a moment, he longs for the past. The unforeseen weight of Kaveh's face over his shoulder is enough to trigger his heart to beat faster in his chest. Haitham couldn't say he experimented strong emotions often, but whenever Kaveh was around his heart seems to fasten its beating rate. At first, when he was younger, he believed he was sick until he finally understood what it meant. Love. He was terribly in love with Kaveh. Always had been, and always will be.

Haitham was born with a gemstone embedded in his chest. A gift inherited from his father, as far as his grandmother told him. There was no recollection of data stating where it came from, how his family got it. He did have some memories of his grandmother explaining it could be Deshrian, but Haitham never cared for gods, kings, or divinities. In short words, he didn't care about it, and there was never ambitious to find out why he had that gem in his body. The only particular function it seemed to have was to channel his emotions. Exposing him in the naked eye as it tends to glow whenever he felt a strong emotion. Nobody could tell though, what kind of emotion it was. It always glows the same, and it's hard to perceive when exposed at natural lightning. But as soon as he met Kaveh, it was always glowing. This was enough for him to understand his feelings towards the Light of Kshahrewar. Or rather, and quite literally, the light of his life.

He feels the world stopping for a second. Even when he holds pride in being able to predict the other, he had to admit drunken Kaveh was a menace to him. He gulps as soon as he feels his wrist being grasped, the weight of his hand against his shoulders provoking his body to stiff for a few seconds. His gaze meets red eyes, almost feeling absorbed by them as his lips parted in an attempt to say something. Yet no words come from his mouth. He is stunned, dumbfounded and not only by the beauty of the smile adorning the architect's face, but because of the endearing nickname he had chosen for him.

Unfair. It feels unfair how they are still so close yet so far from each other. Unfair when he gets to experiment this side of Kaveh only when drunk. Haitham did not like living off the past, Haitham did not like to overthink and sigh thinking about memories. Haitham did not stand being apart of him. He yearned for the past, very deep inside his heart and for a moment, he feels embarrassed the gem would not stop glowing. His eyes soften up, taking the freedom to place his free hand on Kaveh's waist, which perfectly fit, like a missed puzzle part, as if it was made for him and his hands only. "Could you let go of my wrist?" His voice also came softer, not breaking eye contact while giving a soft squeeze to his waist. It made him remember the man at the tavern, causing his blood to boil for a moment. What could have happened if he didn't pick him up? He's feeling possessive, coming to terms with his feelings and understanding he wants this sight only for his eyes to see. How dare someone flirted with his man?

"I can't hold you properly if you don't let go of my wrist." Damn. He's weak. He's very weak for that smile, for those flushed cheeks, for the golden locks of hair falling off his face. He wants to take them away, cup his face dearly and kiss those plum lips. But he mustn't. He can't. And it did hurt the fact Haitham knew Kaveh will not remember anything the following morning. His fingertips danced across his waist, crawling up and creeping from the back window of his shirt, delicately caressing the skin as the weight of his own cape fell over his hand. He knows he should push him away, remind himself there's no longer anything between them anymore.

Is he allowed to be irrational and delusional for just one night?

"I am looking at you." His face is as calm as ever, not showing hesitation as a smile of his own appears on his lips. Praise and his undivided attention. That's what he wants, right?

"You look beautiful tonight, Kaveh."

The world bobs with each step Alhaitham takes, and Kaveh is simply in for the ride that he's being dragged along with.

In reality, it was the scribe who was being forced with Kaveh being the drunk that he is, having to take him home before he gets in trouble or self-implodes somehow with the things he does. However, Kaveh will simply make whining noises of discomfort and curl up, probably making it even harder for the man to carry him if it weren't for how slight his figure was, or how muscular Alhaitham was. What was with that anyways? He used to be so small, so cute. Still rounded cheeks and short for even his age, pretty face gazing up at Kaveh who was definitely at least a head taller. Maybe not that much, but Alhaitham had to gaze up at him back then. It had been adorable, prompting him to pat the boy's hair so often just to see his reaction.

Kaveh thinks he heard a soft voice, but before he could think of it or even dismiss it, the world spins yet again as he's suddenly lifted up and put down, feeling like a cat when he's manipulated around like one. But he's happy that his hip and lower belly aren't pressed against his shoulder anymore. It was so hard and uncomfortable, he thinks that's why he felt a bit sick just now, wondering if he will bruise. The moment Alhaitham lets go of him, making him stand on his own two feet, Kaveh finds his feet stumbling once, catching himself and blinking quietly. He could barely keep his eyes open, cheeks flushed with alcohol and the cold, hugging himself when the wind blows extra hard, seeping right through the holes in his shirt.

"Mm...?" He hums once, feeling warm when an extra cape is wrapped around him. Oh, it's so warm, smells like his incense, and when he's lifted up, he can specifically smell Alhaitham, so he feels himself get drowsy and his head hit the man's chest as red eyes close from the world. It's comfortable now, warm and cozy enough he's losing the strength to even pretend to be awake, body going slack as he truly falls asleep for the few minutes it takes to get back home.

The next time he's awake to the world, he's already laying on the couch at home, blinking his eyes blearily as he sits up, hands still holding the extra cape tightly around himself. Alhaitham is gone, but after another two blinks he's passing by him to sit next to him, a book out for a leisurely read. The coffee he's made for him is there, right in front of him, so he picks it up to take a sip, the warmth filling him and the taste... "Urgh, so bitter..." He could get sober from that alone if he hadn't drunk in excess. But he takes one more sip, thirsty after all the alcohol he drank, but couldn't take any more than that.

"Do you never have anything better to say? Always criticizing me for my actions." Kaveh is retorting, barely any bite in his words when he can't muster the energy to sound scary or angry, but he makes a face as he puts his cup down. "I know I shouldn't... I guess. Even Tighnari got angry when he caught me once. But the client today was an idiot. He said... That he didn't want the paint! Amateurs and their-" He hiccups, puts both hands over his mouth with eyes wide in surprise, then ends up tumbling into giggles at the silliness of it. Kaveh stills, humming with his eyes closed as he slowly sways, but then remembers he was in the middle of an argument, and the furrow between his brows is back and his red eyes zero in on the table in front of them. "He said, 'That paint is too expensive'! This is a rich merchant who has more money to throw than most people in Sumeru can even dream of holding and- Can you believe it? He says this after asking me for a very specific shade of carmine that cannot be created without using materials from that manufacturer. It's special, it's a new color that was created and no one else has it but them! It's made with materials from the desert, far away and dangerous to get and people need to go out farming for the materials for it to be made in the searing desert. If you want it, then of course you have to pay for the paint. He even had the gall to ask if I can't just create the color myself?! I'm an architect, not a pigment manufacturer! I am not color matching 30 buckets of paint! Then, he says that he hates the roof. The roof! It had the most beautiful symmetry I was able to draw in months! I'll tear down that roof and show him what it's like sleeping without one then!!!"

Kaveh has a fist formed and he slams it on the divan he sits on, but it hurts enough that he yelps, and tears form in his eyes. That hurt. So the architect now rubs at the side of his hand, and soon forgets what he was even angry about, having let out all the steam from the day's woes. He was also so warm after getting heated.

Kaveh stands straight up, letting go of Alhaitham's cape. Soon, he's unclipping his own cape, tugging off his belts and accessories, pulling his shoes off, and putting them all aside, folded as neatly as his bleary gaze would let him. He's clad in his thin loose shirt, pants, and bare feet and sits back down, looking at nothing as he tries to assess his own feelings. After a moment, he tugs Alhaitham's cape over himself again, feeling a bit cold and exposed. But it's warm, so he pulls it over his head, tugging and pinching it under his chin. A warm laugh bubbles out of him, rubbing his cheek as the silver and gold metal tinkle over his hair, looking like accessories as he tilts his head to the side so he could hear it tinkle, making his brain fuzzy with simple happiness.

Even when he lets go of the cape, it continues to drape over him even as he crawls closer to the scribe. "Hey, did you listen to me?" That's definitely a complaint, distracted as he peeks over Alhaitham's shoulder to look at the book. The words are completely blurred in his vision, and he has no chance of being able to understand any of them. But it smells nice here, the scent of coffee and warmth seeping from the man. He leans in, buries his face in his shoulder... Then immediately sits up. Which doesn't last long at all, a whine on his lips. He wants more warmth, he also had so much to say, but of course, Alhaitham is more interested in his book. But he was having none of it if he had a say in things. So, Kaveh grabs hold of Alhaitham's wrist, pushing the hand with the book away from his face. It's so easy, for him to climb on his lap and glare down at him, continuing to keep his wrist suspended in the air. Oh, now that's more like it. Haitham under him so Kaveh can look down. And since Alhaitham has no choice but to look at him... He breaks into a drunken smile as he holds his shoulder with his leftover hand.

"Finally, you're looking at me, Haiyi."

Mine. Mine mine mine. A long-forgotten form of endearment slips through his lips so naturally, he doesn't even find it out of place. Alhaitham was all his, not even that book got to steal his attention when he was right here. Thankfully, he would probably not remember this come tomorrow.

Which is why when you picked him up and held him nonchalantly, he's quite ??? at first.

He's never been into heavy PDA and the endless teasing that might come from his roommate if Kaveh sees this makes him dread the idea.

He'll ask you to place him down, but if no one's around and he has a perfectly good book in his hands; Alhaitham would sigh and continue on reading.

The feeling of you holding him so gently whilst having the strenght to carry him made Alhaitham slightly flustered, but you didn't hear it from me.

Despite his rather unpleasant temper, Scaramouche has a soft spot for you. That doesn't mean he won't be cranky tho.

Honestly, if you're in a public place Scaramouche would be uncomfortable and angry; he wants these types of moments where he could be vulnerable only for you and him. He'll be fine with it when you're both alone.

When you picked him up and held him so closely, he went tsundere mode and demanded you to place him down, but the way he stuttered those words may mean he doesn't fully want you to.

If you do as you're told, Scaramouche would act pissed off, but he can't stop thinking about how you picked him up and held him gently for the rest of the day.

But if you don't listen to his demands and complaints, Scaramouche would still be angry at first then the complaints slowly turned into a "fine, whatever" as you held him close to you

9/10 tsundere boi, he's light as hell so it's easy to sweep him off his feet. The whining gets annoying tho.

Smirks at you, goes confident mode

Kaveh has always been the type to tease you. So when your strong arms swept him off his feet, he sees a golden opportunity.

"Oh? Did someone missed me?"

A part of you is tempted to drop him on the floor for all the teasing but didn't have the heart to.

It slowly morphs into the two of you flirting/bickering with eachother. If Alhaitham walks in on this, it's best he pretends to not see it.

Kaveh actually likes you picking him up like that. Whilst he does take the more affectionate role in the relationship most of the time, Kaveh likes the feeling of you holding him gently after he finished the sketches for his next project.

10/10 he's light to be picked up + bonus flirting with eachother.

One might think the general mahamatra might not like the idea of being picked up and carried like a bride. They're wrong.

Cyno is neutral when he's being carried by you like this; it just depends on the surroundings.

If the place you're is both in is safe and he's not doing any important work, he'll let you pick him up with ease. The blank and straight face might say otherwise, but he likes it.

Cyno is a warrior at heart, he brings judgement upon those at the Akademiya or those at the desert; but being picked up gently by you makes him feel butterflies.

He might show you his appreciation in the form of a smile, or three of his best jokes.

10/10 he has those muscles from being the General Mahamatra, but Cyno is still easy to pick up. Remember to laugh at his jokes.

"Watch it on the tail!" He did not groom it to be soft n fluffy just for it to be ruined, be careful.

Like Cyno, if he's doing any important things or is in a dangerous area; don't pick him up. But if the two of you are just patrolling or in a private area, go for it!

Tighnari quite likes it when you pick him up. He's not big on PDA, but some exceptions can be made.

If the forest ranger is feeling tired that day, he might lean to your chest and rest his eyes for a bit. Keeping anyone safe from the forest isn't an easy task, so let the fox rest for a bit against you.

His ears are sensitive, so he can hear your heartbeat clearly if he presses his head against your chest. He finds it comforting

"What?" Your eyes flicker back to the lead ranger who's berating you for disregarding his lessons. For the 6th time this week. You'd think that by now you'd have learned to stop drifting away from his voice and the lecture...

But all he could see is that you truly didn't want to pay attention, you thought that staring at the clouds and people outside mattered more than the instruction he was offering.

"Y/N, please, I understand if you don't think it's important to learn all this, it can be very extensive but... I don't understand why you would ask for extra tutoring if you don't care. Is it just to take away time from me?"

"No, I- I get you're really busy, I would never take advantage of you like that, I really want to learn this and become a better forest ranger..."

You'd told him before about how difficult it is for you to memorize the content you're supposed to learn. Everything seems to just leave your mind, entirely without your consent. One day you think you've got something entirely scaled out in your mind, but by the time you have to answer questions about it, you can only stare into nothing and rack your empty brain, just to find not even a hint towards the answer.

You can promise Tighnari that you'd paid attention that day all you want, but you don't have the evidence to prove it. The times you can remember something fully and it stays, you throw a mini-celebration in your head, feeling successful. Yet - you had to constantly remind yourself about the fact that it wouldn't be enough to become as good of a ranger as Tighnari, or even your colleague Collei.

Even the extensive tutoring you'd begged Tighnari to give you wasn't helping, you felt hopeless. Now here he was, getting upset at you for something you couldn't control. You knew he had his eyes on you every time you couldn't stop fidgeting from stress and the overwhelming feeling of what you had to accomplish that day. You felt so... Weak. Didn't he understand your condition? You were almost positive he'd read through the files that were stored somewhere in Gandharva Ville. He did that for everyone. Shouldn't he understand how debilitating having ADHD felt?

"Y/N. You're spacing out again. What do you need from me so that I can actually help you?" Tighnari raised his voice.

Comfort, you wanted to speak out. But instead, you just looked down at your lap in silence. It wouldn't do anything to suddenly spill out your stressors and illness to him. He wasn't a therapist after all, he was just a student, professor, and a ranger at the same time. He doesn't deserve to have more issues thrown on him. Either way, this was something you'd been told to deal with yourself your entire life.

"If you're going to be like this, the session is dismissed for today. I hope you'll be more focused within the class along with the rest of the trainees tomorrow. Be awake bright and early in the morning so you don't miss anything. Although, it seems like you're not getting enough sleep so I might be a little more lenient."

You heaved a sigh of relief, ready to go home and cry your stress out under the comfort of your blankets. At least maybe you could rest a little more in the morning, but it would just be another case of you being portrayed as 'lazy', when all you wanted was to be as active as the others.

"Thank you, goodnight Tighnari," you frowned.

You returned home and let the tears spill the instant you fell into your bed, feeling even more helpless than a few weeks ago when you hadn't asked him for help. He was acting like an ass to you for no reason. You really didn't comprehend why he couldn't have some mercy on you and try to help you learn in other ways that would be memorable.

A knock echoed through the building you slept in and called home. "Yes?" You managed to get out in between choked sobs as you tried to calm down and wipe your face, deciding on pretending to have just been asleep so that your eyebags weren't suspicious.

It was Tighnari who walked in, of course.

"I thought I'd get you some tea, to help you sleep. It's obvious you're not having a good time. I'm sorry if I'm too strict on you, but I can't help you if you don't put in the effort."

You untuck your head from your sheets.

"I've been trying so hard to put in effort, Tighnari. You just... don't care to see it. Thanks for the tea, you can put it on my bedside table."

"Y/N..." He pauses for a moment, coming closer while contemplating on what you said

There's a long silence after he places the hot cup down.

"Shit, Y/N, you're kidding me right?"

"Did I do something wrong again?..." You tensed up.

"No, I- How did I not see this. I'm an actual idiot. This makes so much sense."

You look towards Tighnari to see what was causing his mental spiral.

In his hands was a small bottle, a paper on it labeled as treatment for ADHD.

"Oh, yeah... Sorry, I forgot to take them today. That must be why today was worse than usual..." You rub your hands over your fatigued face.

"That's not it, I'm just... Y/N, you never told me you had ADHD? I've been so hard on you this entire time because I just thought you hated my lectures and teaching and me."

You freeze up after hearing his words, stuck in the element of shock.

"I thought you knew? There's no way you didn't know, it's on my files, isn't it? The ones you read about everyone?"

"You noticed that? I must've just entirely missed it. Y/N, I'm so sorry. No words can explain how I feel right now. I'm so guilty."

"Tighnari, don't stress over it too much. You don't know how relieved I feel right now, I thought you were just entirely dismissing my condition. Don't feel guilty, I understand it was just a big misunderstanding now."

"Still, I'm so sorry. Do you perhaps need some comfort, attention, anything? I don't have anything planned until class in the morning. You can explain things to me for hours, I don't care. My ears are always open to listening whether I like it or not anyway. We're going to plan out a guide that will help you memorize the content more, we can even do experiments and things, I will bring you to a proper forest ranger in no time. I wish I'd known this earlier."

The next morning, the entire group of forest rangers saw Tighnari and you exit from the same bedroom, tired with eyebags present, but you were smiling like never before.

You two were already closely acquainted, where could this go further now that he knew the truth?

"Y'know, I think I forgot to ask you back then, but are we friends?" you'd asked your boyfriend.

"What, so that needs official documentation now?" he quipped with an eyeroll. "You're asking that a little late, don't you think?"

Seeing as how you weren't answering and continuing to stare at him with wide, determined eyes, he sighed. He was terribly tempted to say no and give you the silent treatment for a bit. Truly, he almost regretted how deeply he'd fallen for you, knowing it made him weak for you even when you were being ridiculous or insufferable. "Are we friends..." he muttered to himself in a mockingly poor mimicry of your voice while raising his eyebrows at you, his exasperation evident especially in his ears in the way they flicked and twitched.

"All right, hand over your 'friendship certificate', I'm assuming you'll need my signature," he said in a sing song voice, getting a pen and preparing to sign as he returned his attention to his work. He hadn't thought you'd actually have a certificate prepared, but out of love for you, he went along with it.

Unbeknownst to him, you had pulled out a marriage certificate, stifling giggles as you handed the sheet over to him. You but your lower lip to maintain your silence as you watched him scribble his signature where you'd guided his hand to.

"You're awfully quiet...you're not upset because you thought I was actually annoyed with you, are-" he paused midsentence, his eyes flickering between the certificate and you. "That's not a friendship certificate."

"But you've already signed it."

"No one would know if that piece of paper were to just disappear right now."

He did not burn that certificate that day, though he does keep it in a drawer as a sort of unofficial union between the two of you. A little memento, he calls it; at least until you get the actual thing.

Yup, thats pretty on the mark. Tighnari is a more serious character, especially when contrasted with these fools.

Kaveh is cocky, flirty and charismatic

so.... yes and no? Flirty, definitely not. Charismatic, perhaps? That one is more subjective but it does not come up in canon often. Cocky is also arguable but for the most part no, but around Alhaitham a little. Kaveh acts very different around Alhaitham as they do bicker and debate a lot in canon, which could be misconstrued as Kaveh being confident or "cocky", however in other situations he leans more towards self deprecating.

Tighnari has something called a 'Butterfly Board"

This would be cute but as far I know it is not canon. He does however work with plants and bugs a lot, so it is not out of character, its just one of the authors creations.

Tighnari has fox or wolf ears, and also a tail

Yup. He's a Valuka Shuna, a fictional human hybrid type based on fennec foxes. He has large fox ears and a fluffy tail.

Cyno makes a lot of incredible puns

Yup. This is made better by the fact he (in english, I can't confirm other languages) speaks very monotone, especially when telling jokes.

Alhaitham reads a lot- an academic, stoic and a bit distant, spends a decent amount of time annoyed; he records things for a job (?)

He does read often. Stoic and distant are pretty fitting adjectives, and annoyed is also pretty on the mark but does vary. Around Kaveh, absolutely, but Alhaithams entire character is him being an egoist, so he doesn't do things or engage in things he doesn't want to if they're avoidable. Records things for a job is a yes, he is the Akademiya's (big college/government) scribe.

Archons is like a deity, force or government- used in swearing "Archons above!"

Yup, they're the gods of this world. However there is a silly line from Kaveh where he does say "Oh my god" so as far as I know its unconfirmed if characters actually say this. But it is very popular fanon.
