Regressor Natsuki (2-5) Headcanons!

I think Natsuki would be pretty embarrassed about her regression at first, considering she wants to be taken as seriously as possible and is already labeled one of the most childish members in the club, but if she trusted someone enough, she'd tell them bits and pieces until dropping the full name of age regression.

When regressed, she still wants to keep her independence but sometimes being in littlespace makes it harder to do things. She'd insist that she's not a little baby and can do it herself, consistently failing at the task unless someone steps in or she gives up.

Do NOT call yourself Daddy/Dada, or any type of paternal name. Don't even mention it around her. At best, it pulls her out of littlespace and at worst....well you just made her regression impure and triggering.

When tiny, Natsuki loves to play with those kitchen food sets! If she's alone, she'd just make food for her stuffies, pretend she's on a famous cooking show, or open a bakery with her own pastries! If she's with someone she trusts, she'd definitely make them food. What do you MEAN you don't wanna play with her? She's pulling you by your arm and making you anyway!

Still loves to read manga while she's little, but while snuggled up with her stuffies!

Natuski definitely has some involuntary regression, but sometimes she voluntarily regresses too! It's a safespace for her to re-do her childhood and she loves the joy it brings her

Sassy and definitely talks back, at best you'll be called a butthead but at worst, yeah she's definitely the type of regressor to curse...

But don't get it wrong, she's very appreciative of people she can be regressed around, but just struggles to show that love and affection, especially verbally. The best you'll get is drawings of the two of you, poems about you, and smiles. (She WILL look away embarrassed afterwards)

Natsuki wants a caregiver, but not one to take care of her and be super strict, just someone she can spend time with and know she has a support system when little. Does she need one? No.

Writes short, simple poems about random things while regressed! She saw a beautiful flower? A cat? She'll write about it!

Has a HUGE sweet tooth when regressed, this little toddler is a snack gremlin...BEWARE.

Depending on her little age, she might bake in littlespace. If it's 2-3, heck no but if she's 4-5, she can do it! Natsuki is an expert and it might take a little longer compared to her big self, but she can do it! Decorating is her favorite part of baking while tiny.

She doesn't lose that much ability when regressed, nor does she like being treated like the age she feels regressed to.

Because of this, she hates petnames that make her feel like a little baby such as little one, baby, etc. She prefers petnames that aren't linked to age at all like sweetheart, angel, muffin. (She has a soft spot for sweets/food nicknames)

Doesn't own much little gear, if any. Since she doesn't have much, she usually regresses wearing oversized clothes and watches cartoons instead. She wouldn't be opposed to having some, but not too much, she's not a little baby afterall!

Natuski doesn't like to admit it, but she actually really loves physical affection. Headpats, hugs, cuddles, all of that! She'd still pretend just as much that she doesn't like it while little compared to her big self.

- He thinks you fit the circus’s theme really well! He’ll definitely compliment you a lot, even in front of people. And with a hand on your waist.

- Caine loves giving you gifts. It’s actually a bit much. You once heard a knock at your door and when you opened it, you were toppled by necklaces, shoes, and shirts. He didn’t even notice and thought you were somewhere else. He came back eventually, when he didn’t find you. Felt kind of bad… but not really. It’s the thought that counts!

- He wouldn’t let you dress him up a lot, he wants to look professional. Maybe at night time he’ll let you, but in the morning it’s all off. Don’t take it personally, he loves it, but it just doesn’t go with his whole look. He might have a bracelet hidden under his coat though.

- Expect knock off CDs or vinyls of your favorite bands or artists and something to play them. He’ll cut the explicit songs out or censor them. Imagine listening to a song and hearing BOING! in the middle of it..

- He’d learn a lot about your favorite artists and will end up yapping about it to anyone who will listen, including you.

Gangle

- She adores your style! It’s so pretty and it’s very artsy. She would definitely make you things like jewelry or something to put on your wall.

- I HC Gangle’s body weighs about as much as a humans, so she would let you dress her up. 100% wears a necklace of yours. Except during IHA, she doesn’t want it to break or get lost!

- She likes to draw or paint colourful things for you, and would give them to you when she’s done. Kind of shy about it, but that doesn’t make her gift less sincere. Actually, it makes it cuter.

- She finds your music taste interesting. It’s not really for her, but she’ll listen to it with you. It’s a nice bonding experience! Just make sure to listen to her music too.

Pomni

- If this wasn’t the circus, she wouldn’t think about it much, but it’s just so colourful… she doesn’t really like it a lot to be honest.

- It just reminds her of the place she’s stuck in now, especially if your clothes are as colourful as the filters, but that doesn’t mean she’ll tell you that. She doesn’t want you to feel bad.

- Pomni wouldn’t let you dress her up, honestly. She might wear a bracelet or a small clip to put on her hat, but not much more. It’s nothing against you, but it would just make her feel a bit more trapped. And plus you’d have to touch her to put on everything, and she’s not ready for that.

- She’s not against your style, it’s pretty! But it’s not for her. You might have to dial it down a little if you two are alone. Maybe with less bright colours.

- She actually thinks your music taste is nice though. She’ll lay next to you while you play it or read a book and just listen to it. It tickles her brain in a funny way. After an IHA that particularly drains her, she might go to her or your room and just curl up and listen to music with you.

🤧: What does their sneeze sound like? (Description, spelling, or both!)

If he let it out naturally, it would be whiny, slightly desperate, and deeply ticklish, yet still soft. Something along the lines of "hh'yiieshhiew-! hiHhZShh'tiew-! hiHHkashh'ih-! tshhieew-!" But he normally likes to add some ~flair~ to them, whether to annoy people, or just for fun. So they end up sounding more like "hK'yIEZShhh'CHOO-! anGZShhh'shhoo-! krZSHHhhioo-!" Though, he can also stifle almost perfectly, (though he can't keep it up forever), so those can range from "nxt-! kxt-!" to "enGXT-! ah'dNT-!" all the way through to ones that break free with more of a "knzshh-! dt'chh-! ah'nGXT'iew-!"

😩: Do they tend to sneeze just once or twice, or multiple times? Do they have fits frequently or rarely? Does how many times they sneeze depend on the cause?

Multiple times. If he gets one sneeze, and just one, it's a sure sign that something is wrong. Like for some reason he is holding the rest back (which he's entirely capable of, at least for a little bit~) or he has some sort of illness, basically the only time he'd get singles, though it's still rare.

Even his 'natural' sneeze comes out in multiples. Photic sneezes are always multiples, allergies are fits, and usually sickness is fits, albeit sometimes spread out ones. T

he cause will change the desperation of the fit, how long it lasts, maybe how intense the sneezes are, but the amount varies more based on how sensitive he's feeling that day. (he's incredibly sensitive, but some days are worse then others).

😭: When they’re sick, do they try to downplay their symptoms, or do they treat every little cold like the plague? Do they whine a lot, or do they complain quietly or even just in their head?

I think he's the first one I've done for this where it's an intense complainer. Mans could have the sniffles and he'll act like he's literally about to die. Whining all the time, INCREDIBLY clingy, pathetic, just a mess.

However. This all ends the second he actually starts feeling that the illness/attack is out of his control. If he starts feeling actually unwell, like there's actual weakness being shown, the complaining will stop because he will vanish. Just dip immediately, you will not see him anymore. </3

💦: How wet are their sneezes? Do they spray barely at all, or are you gonna need an umbrella? Do they try to cover at all, or just let it go? Do they sniffle a lot when they’re sick or allergies are bugging them?

(still not a mess person 😭) I'd say he gets a little bit of mist if he's letting them out naturally, but when he does the whole exaggeration thing then they end up a little wetter because he's spraying a bit more. However his stifles end up pretty dry, surprisingly, until they start being a little more let out/escaping.

Absolute sniffle man. Purposefully to annoy the people around him or/and show how pathetic and miserable he sounds. He wants the attention, whether that's sympathy or annoyance, attention is attention <3

😳: Are they embarrassed by their sneezes, or do they just not really care? Do they apologize after sneezing? Do they say “sorry!” or “excuse me!” or anything like that? If they’re embarrassed about it, why?

Not embarrassed, doesn't care, in fact I'd go so far as to say he likes them because they get him attention. However. If his natural slips out when he doesn't mean for it to, that can get him a little embarrassed. Also he does not apologize, but he might give a mocking "wow, sooorry!" or "exSCUSE me!" entirely meant to draw more attention/tease.

📝: Quick! Come up with a scenario for them! It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, just something you think would be cute or something you’d like to see with them!

Off the top of my head- so it's not gonna be very good, and it's feat. Nanami because while my heart is a satosugu, they're a lil too tragic for the lighthearted prompt im thinkin of rn <3

The first indication of a fit was the hitching. Nanami had to push Gojo to keep from him hitting a wall. Still, no one batted an eye. It was more unusual to go a day without a Satoru Sneeze, and he's not exactly known for being careful.

When the sneeze never came, Nanami didn't bat an eye. Any scents could be setting him off, or the lights, but with infinities help, it makes sense that it would be held off.

But when Nanami turns around to scold him for lagging behind, his glasses nearly fall off at the sight waiting him. Gojo has one hand pressed against his nose, blindfold hanging around his neck, tears streaming from his brilliant blues.

Okay, slithering back in here again💕💘💞💗💖💘💕💞. I'm a linguistics freak. I need to know if you have plans for language(s) in your work.

Are there any characters with distinct speech patterns, maybe using different sorts of words than others (due to heritage, education, geographic location)?

Do you ever use modern slang or local vernacular when writing? Is it a conscious or unconscious choice? Do you take influences from any real world english dialects in your work?

My god hello I love this ask so much thank you for the interest ily.

I DO have language things, but I absolutely have NO linquistic background and don't really know how languages are put together most of the time but what i DO have is very specific ideas about what they SOUND like so. Bear with me

Each species has their own native language, and most everybody is also fluent in a common language, Solan (they might be SOME exceptions but you would be hard pressed to find someone who didn't know it)

I don't have a TON of specific stuff about Solan, but generally it's a mishmash of words from each individual language, warped over the centuries into a more distinct set of sounds. It began as more of a pidgin language, very disconnected, mostly just enough to serve the purpose of interspecies communication without a whole lot of personality or flow. As time (LOTS of it) passed, some parts of Solan evolved in one way while other languages evolved another until it is now distinct, but you could still trace many words back to their roots in their language of origin, if you wanted.

The species languages are still a work in progress, but I have pretty set ideas about a few of them. Disregard my names if you want because I don't know if i'm gonna want better etymology for them later or anything (right now it's just... what sounds nice to my ears). Montaran (fauns), Arbor (satyrs), and Praetar (ipotanes) are all in the same family, kind of like romance languages or whatnot, but don't draw from each other quite as much as, say, italian and spanish, for example. But they're formed with generally the same collection of sounds, with similar enough grammar structures (particularly Arbor and Praetar) that they are more coherent to each other than to any of the others.

Montaran in particular is the one of these I've fleshed out most thus far: it is heavy in repetition and is mostly hard sounds. I don't know if any of this will make sense because again- no linguistic knowledge in this brain- but Montaran uses the repetition of a base segment, usually a vowel sound, as a distinction between meanings. This is especially evident in names, which all follow a sort of consonant-vowel-repeat-at-will format. (where most non-name words follow a consonant-vowel-consonant format. I know that sounds extremely similar, but the difference is mostly in how they end. Non-name words end in consonants). For example, Natakala might be the name of a town: that's four segments, each with the same vowel sound. Place names are typically long, whereas people's names are typically actually rather short- just two or three syllables, because of the way that fauns use them among families.

This is getting a little off topic now but fauns typically have children in sets of twins- just a little biological quirk (like having litters of kittens or whatnot). Because of this, twins will typically be referred to as one whole, rather than two separate entities. They have individual names, but they are built within each other so as to be used as one- let me give another example because I don't know how else to explain it: you have a twin named Sumaya and a twin named Suna, those twins, as they would typically spend lots of time together, would often be referred to as Sumayasuna, like one single being. That name, and their individual names, were chosen to be part of one another, they are named to be meshed, or rather, they are given an enmeshed name which can be split. And both their individual and twinned names follow that consonant-vowel-repeat format, because that's the rule of faun names.

I feel like this is really long already but you asked and I love to deliver so the other language I have anything concrete on is Shotali (nightlings). They're unique in the sense that the other humanoids have distinctly mammalian phonetics, either because they're mammals, or, in the case of iarans (a species of merfolk- I'll get into nix later), because they evolved to mimic the sounds made by those mammals. Nightlings do utilize much of the same phonetics (again, driven by mimicry), but because there is an evolutionary gap where they did not mimic other humanoids, because they were separated from them, their is a distinct avian aspect to their languages that other species lack. This is also something that makes me have such specific ideas for what nightlngs' voices sound like, but that's another thing entirely so I won't get into it.

Nightlings have an odd ability to make this clicking sound at the back of their throat- like clicking your tongue, but it makes the sound from something specialized for that sound, rather than just jury-rigging something with your tongue and the roof of your mouth. This, naturally, forms a part of their language. It's used much like a glottal stop, but whereas a glottal stop is the absence of sound, this click is an additional one and so is almost treated like a consonant. The only time it's used in conjuncture with another sound is in hard consonants, which are rare in Shotali (it's mostly soft consonants and vowels), in which the sound, say a K or V, is made at the same time as that click. Nightlings new to speaking Solan, particularly early post-cataclysm, as otherwise they would learn it throughout childhood like the other species, may pronounce this clicking consonant even in Solan as part of that accent.

Merfolk are the other species that has Things, because I just have yet to have any concrete ideas about how Arbor, Praetar, or Homonic (humans) function. Iarans, as vocal mimics, can and do speak, but they actually lack a verbal native language. What they do have is a visual language, stemmed from nix, who lack vocal chords. This sign language (I just... I just called it Handspeak but that sounds stupid so,,, i'll come up with something better maybe eventually) isn't quite like any terrestrial sign, real-world or otherwise, but it IS the linguistic precursor to Solan sign, used on land across species as needed (the only language to not have a 'home' species). Because they use it underwater, it's slower, with less focus on movement than in asl (i'm using asl as an example because it's the one I know, but a lot of sign languages are similar in structure, especially french sign language). Rather, handshape has much greater meaning and is more complex, less repeated, because fast movements underwater are harder to make, so rather than exist in a general-handshape and specific-motion format, Handspeak exists in more of a specific-handshape general-motion form. That 'base motion' is typically slower and larger- accounting a little for decreased visibility in water.

Solan sign, or just Sign, made it's way out of water and is used across the continent, but is very concentrated on coasts, because it's used to talk with merfolk (particularly nix). It's more common than sign languages typically are by hearing folks in the real world, but it's still not necessarily a language that lots of people are familiar with, especially inland. It has a very different structure than Handspeak, as it isn't hindered by water and is used in a different context. Sign typically does follow the more familiar general-handshape specific-motion pattern, so it's a bit easier to learn and moves quicker than Handspeak. A lot of the words use the non-dominant hand as a 'base' of sorts, providing a center point for the other, by which the motion of the dominant hand and its position in reference to the base define the meanings of the words. Another example because I don't know how to explain: Think of the ASL word for 'year' (google it assuming you don't know, handspeak.com my beloved). The 'base' hand is like the one that stays in the middle, while the dominant hand is the one that revolves around the other. So in Sign, that base could be held in the center of the body, or to the right, or wherever you want that's convenient, and the hand that's doing the motion is defining the word by it's relation to that base. If you only have one hand free, the base is assumed to be the center of your body, which requires you to be a little cleaner with your signs, but you can easily do it one-handed, which is useful for when you're busy with other things. ASL relies a lot on placement in relation to the body: one thing by your head means a different thing than if you sign the same motion with the same handshape by your chest, or up in the air, etc. Sign relies less on that, and more on a base hand, or the implication of one, in the case of one-handed signing. Not to say it never uses the body because it does, but not as much, and not as inherently.

Oh god oh fuck I'm writing you an essay.

I haven't played as much with distinct speech patterns as I probably could have, because i'm really uncertain how i would want to go about it???? I mean, i guess i do a little bit but not quite consciously. Like I've written a few things with Julian and/or his family, and in my quest to find a good 'god.' substitute in a christianless environment (lol) i gave them a weird little specific curse that I now realize nobody else has ever used and i don't like enough to extend across others, so it now sounds like either his family specifically, or the region he grew up in, has this way of cussing that nobody else does. And I don't like it as a world thing, but i do like it as a family thing, because then that's a little something specific to just them that I can play around with.

Or say, Reiji speaks very formally. Not in the sense that he's overly stuffy or even... formal isn't quite the right word, but he's very deliberate about his choice of words most of the time. In an attempt to minimize misunderstanding, he is overly specific and/or tries to capture exactly precisely what he's trying to say in a way that is satisfying, which sometimes leaves more questions than if he said something less accurate to what he wants to convey, but more broad and thus easier to understand. He is usually very clear, very little grey area for interpretation, but when even he isn't sure what he's conveying, he gets really confusing really fast if whoever he's talking to can't make the logic leaps that he can in those connections.

And then like the thing about modern slang and local vernacular is that i almost certainly incorporate it into my writing without even meaning to, because that's how I talk and think and hear people talking and thinking. And I am also subject to using hyperspecific words because I want things to mean exactly what I'm thinking and that's how i start to become best friends with words like 'rouged.' The same with dialects, I don't on purpose take influence from them, but the ones I hear and use make their way into my writing because I have different associations for each one. I can't think of a really good example right now but I mean,,, is writing not just returning all the words you've read and heard and said into something else? Into something that's hopefully a little bit more than the sum of its parts?

F: oh this is really hard! i had to choose two.

the first snippet is from, home & promises with rhett. i’ve cut some lines out, but writing this was such a painful joy. the invisible string part? god damn, if i do say so myself! i’m proud of it because i personally feel it captures the underlying tension between you both after not seeing each other for so long. rhett is trying to prod at you, trying to hear what he wants to hear and you know that, but it hurts too much to admit it.

His gaze flicks to yours. “Is that what you always wanted?”

You know what he’s getting at. You know what he’s trying to unearth, uncover. Prove to himself that this was a good decision.

“Yeah.” You hold your voice again, not letting it waver like it did in the truck four years ago. He leans across the table and instinctively you pull yourself closer to him. It feels like he’s pulling on an invisible string that connects the two of you. It’s a sentiment that was stretched all across America for four years and now it’s drawing you closer and closer to him. Your sweetheart.

…“You happy?” His voice is dangerously low and his Southern drawl slurs his words and sends a shiver down your neck and all along your spine. You grimace at his question and hold your breath before letting it go and telling him a blatant lie that you both know. “Yep.”…

He breaks first and pulls away from the table and slumps back into the leather bar seat. He changes the subject entirely.

the second snippet is from, “who hurt you?” with rhett. again, i’ve cut some lines out, but this came so naturally to me to write and i think that’s why i’m so proud of it. it’s how you don’t say specifically what happened, but how rhett just knows. it’s the subtle phrasing that makes rhett understand and how it doesn’t need to be said. it’s heartbreaking, but it truly shows how well rhett knows you. it’s a piece i hold very dear and personal to me.

“Did you drive?”

You hesitated on your answer. No matter the response, it wasn’t going to help you try and hide what happened.

“No, I ran.”

Rhett’s eyebrows twisted downwards ever so slightly.

“I live a good mile away from town, angel.”

“After everything happened I screamed at Darren, like I lost it Rhett.” You twiddled with the hem of your t-shirt as Rhett continued to patch you up. You still couldn’t look at him. You felt shame clouding your senses. “He lost it back at me. I’d never seen him like that. I mean sure, we’ve only been dating like a month, but- but you really see peoples true colours when they’re drunk, huh.”

…Rhett stuck a butterfly band aid to the side of your face and cleaned up the rest of your blood. “And the gash?” He paused. “He punched you, angel. You don’t get that after a blow to the eye.”…

Now Rhett was finished with bandaging you up he could slip his hands to yours and give them a light squeeze. He wanted you to know he was here. He was going to listen to anything you had to say and reassure you with all his might. The tears that had pooled in your eyes from before were now slipping over and onto your cheeks. You held his gaze and bit your bottom lip harshly. You were trying to stop the sobs that wanted to tear from your throat. You winced as you reminisced what followed after and how you got the gash.

You didn’t need to say it, Rhett knew.

G: 99% of the time i write my story from start to finish, however this preacher rhett series has been completely out of order! it’s been whatever i’ve been feeling at the time to write.

P: similar to the above, i’m definitely a “gardener” and i let the story unfold as i go. i have a basic plan of what i want the piece to include, but as i write it from start to finish, i find myself adding things i perhaps didn’t have planned at all. i just go with the flow baby!

R: oh goodness, absolutely! @hederasgarden @wildbornsiren @yespolkadotkitty and @oncasette were some of the first top gun and rhett fics i read. the way they wrote for the characters and provided such sinfully good filth and incredible imagery was a huge influence to me. i still think about their fics now and i think i always will! they will always stay with me.

-So when you ask him the question, he might blink once, before chuckling elegantly and answering ‘yes’ but in the most poetic and fancy and ‘extra-est’ way possible. It’s enough to make you blush a lot

Summary: You attend the Malfoy Charity Ball.

“I can’t believe we’re going to a ball,” your sister, Leanna, said, bouncing along the sidewalk that led to the Malfoy estate.

You couldn’t believe it either. Balls were not uncommon in the wizarding world, but they were reserved for the traditional families and yours was anything but that. The (Y/L/N)s were not part of the Sacred Twenty-Eight nor were you exceptionally wealthy. That, coupled with your parents’ political advocacy for muggles, never put them at the top of anyone’s invite lists.

“It was very kind of Narcissa to extend an invitation to us,” your mother said, shaking you from your thoughts.

Dressed in a long black gown your mother was the picture of elegance. Silver jewelry and white opera gloves complimented her simple bun and makeup.

“It is strange that they still live here don’t you think?” Leanna said when you caught up to her.

Your mother had put her in a knee-length silver dress. At ten years old a floor-length gown would have been a disaster for everyone around her, she was too bouncy and animated.

“Ancestral homes are strange themselves,” your father commented.

You glanced back at him, clad in midnight blue robes it was the most formal you had ever seen him.

“What do you mean?” You asked.

“The Malfoy Manor was likely built with magic and for generations magic has been imbued into its walls. Like Hogwarts, it probably has some magic of its own.”

“Then Voldemort’s magic probably infected the manor.”

Your father pursed his lips. “Maybe. But the Malfoy magic would be stronger, having been there for much longer.”

“Look! There it is!” Leanna shouted, interrupting your conversation.

You crested the top of the ridge and your jaw dropped at the sight.

The Malfoy Manor was less a manor and more of a miniature castle. At five stories it loomed over expansive gardens to the left and the right. The front entrance was bustling with people as they were led inside.

“I’m surprised so many people are here,” you whispered to your dad.

“The Malfoy Manor was always notorious, but after You-Know-Who’s death people seem to want to be closer to him now more than ever,” your dad muttered back.

You made a face and your dad’s lips twitched. He wasn’t a troublemaker, but he certainly wasn’t one to go with the crowd. He would always have his objections to high society and the sort of gawking that seemed to be taking place around you, but he would still go, wanting to make his own exacting judgments.

The crowd thinned once you stepped inside with people making their way to the ballroom you could hear further in the house or to the large drawing rooms open to your left and right.

“Shacklebolt is here,” your father said.

You rolled your eyes. Despite working as the deputy of the Department of International Magical Co-operation your father had had very little contact with the Head of the Ministry of Magic. If you had to guess you might have had more correspondence with Kingsley in your two letters regarding Muggle Studies than your father had had in twenty years.

“What are you going to pitch?” You joked.

“Nothing you haven’t heard before,” your father replied.

You snorted and left him to attempt to catch Shacklebolt’s attention. Meanwhile, you meandered over to one of the drawing rooms. Inside you noted a myriad of famous wizards and your stomach turned. This was not somewhere you felt comfortable.

You left the main hall and began to pick your way through the house. Nobody had stopped you from coming back here so you assumed there was no harm in it.

The halls were quiet except for the occasional portrait making a snide comment.

“Who is this dreadful girl?” One asked.

“Certainly not a pure blood. Narcissa continues to disappoint.”

You rolled your eyes and moved on.

Eventually, you came to a door that was cracked. You nudged it open further to find yourself in a large study. A roaring fireplace opposite a large window overlooking the central courtyard were the only breaks in the overflowing bookshelves that lined the walls.

“(Y/N)?”

You blinked. You hadn’t even noticed the man in the chair by the fire.

“Draco,” you said, relaxing immediately.

Draco’s mouth went dry at the sight of her. She was beautiful, there had never been a doubt in his mind about that but seeing her like this… Merlin.

Her hair was styled and curled, a few strands framing her face. Draco could never tell if she wore makeup, but right now she had a dark red lipstick on that made his gaze linger on her lips. The sleeveless emerald dress that hugged her form before flaring out just above the knee was unlike anything he had ever seen her wear.

He drank her in, and his breath caught in his throat when he saw the necklace she wore. The one he had gotten her for Christmas.

An emerald cut into a droplet with a snake coiled around it had seemed like too much at the time, but Draco hadn’t been able to find something else that he thought would have suited her, so he had sent it and hoped she didn’t mock him relentlessly for it.

“Draco?” She asked, stepping further into the room and shutting the door behind her. “Is everything all right?”

“Yes, of course,” he replied.

“You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”

Draco snorted and closed the book he had been reading. “Far from it.”

(Y/N) gave him a questioning look and he shook his head.

“What are you doing back here?”

“I could ask you the same thing.”

She blushed and shifted on her feet. “I don’t really know anyone here. And no one said I couldn’t explore so…”

Draco chuckled. Of course, she would go exploring instead of socializing with people who were only here to watch him and his mother like animals in a zoo.

“What are you doing back here anyway?” She asked, turning her discerning gaze from the walls to him.

“Postponing the inevitable it would seem.”

She quirked an eyebrow.

“As much as mother advertised this to be a charity event it is truly a test of whether we can be accepted back into society. I’m sure you’re aware of all the charities she has sponsored, but actually inviting people into our home that played host to You-Know-Who for so long is something else entirely. We are going to be completely on display tonight. Everyone is going to be looking for evidence of something untoward. The less time I spend out there the less of a chance of messing it up I have.”

(Y/N) gave him a sad smile, causing Draco to grit his teeth and look away.

“Isn’t hiding away giving them more than being present?” She asked.

Draco sighed and shrugged.

“Come on. Let’s head out there. Plus, now that I’m supposedly Harry’s girlfriend,” she paused for a moment and faked a gag, “if we hang out that can only help you. Friends with a half-blood who is close to the savior. Even Skeeter couldn’t spin that to make you look bad.”

Draco held back his objections to her calling herself Potter’s girlfriend. He knew that neither you nor Harry had led anyone to believe that was true, but it still rankled.

“Stop looking like you want to throw up,” she instructed, holding out her hand.

Draco looked down at her hand, pondering the gesture for a moment, before taking it and standing up.

(Y/N) smiled at him before squeezing his hand once and then dropping it. Bereft at the loss Draco impulsively offered his arm to her, in a move he would have expected her to call old fashioned, but she easily looped her arm through his.

“What about the fire?” She asked, jutting her chin towards the still roaring flames.

“Oh, right.” Draco patted his robes for his wand.

(Y/N)'s smile turned to a grin, and she appeared to merely glance at the fire and it died immediately.

“Been practicing, have you?” He asked, guiding her to the door.

“A bit.”

Draco chuckled and closed the door behind them.

“You know these portraits are awfully opinionated,” she commented as they passed through the halls towards the front of the manor.

Draco hummed, not really hearing her as his nerves started to build once more.

“Draco,” she murmured, pulling him to a stop at the threshold between the darkened hall and the now sparsely populated entrance. “It’ll be okay.”

“How can you be sure? I’d wager that at least a third of the people here would rather see me in Azkaban than a professor at Hogwarts.”

“So? There’s nothing they can do about that. McGonagall picked you and the Ministry approved.”

Draco looked away. (Y/N) was right, but that didn’t mean everyone saw it that way.

Draco felt a soft hand on his cheek, and he turned his attention back to the woman in front of him. The sorrow and sympathy on her face had his stomach twisting.

“I’ll be right here for however long you need me,” she whispered.

Draco searched her eyes for a lie, but only found a tender affection and reassurance.

“And if I need you for more than just tonight?”

Her lips parted and surprise darted across her features. Her hand dropped from his cheek to his shoulder, and she stepped into his space. With a mind of their own Draco’s hands landed on her waist, fingers digging in for a moment before relaxing.

“A promise is a promise,” she breathed.

Draco shuddered and his grip on her waist tightened once more. She didn’t pull away, instead, she seemed to press closer, though he was intimately aware of the distance still between their bodies.

“(Y/N),” he warned, voice rough and low.

“Draco.”

“Do you have any idea what you do to me?”

“I would hope something similar to what you do to me.”

“And what, exactly, do I do to you?”

She shook her head, a grin alight on her face.

“You tease too much, love,” Draco drawled, pulling her so her body was flush with his, the minimal space that had been between them dashed with one move. “And yet, you never follow through. I would think you shy if I didn’t know better.”

She cocked her head, considering him for a moment before she looped her arms around his neck.

“Quite the accusation, professor.”

Up to that point, Draco had thought his self-control admirable. From the moment she had stepped into the study he had wanted her, but he had resisted. The fear of rejection and respect for her potential feelings for Potter had kept him from crossing the line he had crossed back in Hogsmeade all those months ago. But now, with (Y/N) in front of him, wearing his necklace, wrapped in his arms, that tenuous self-control was shattered.

Draco pressed his lips into (Y/N)’s. She responded immediately, one hand wove into the hair at the nape of his neck, and the other curled around his neck.

Draco felt a slight tug on his hair, and he growled into her mouth. (Y/N) gasped and he took that opportunity to press her into the wall behind her and deepen the kiss.

(Y/N) moaned, and he shuddered. Draco had forgotten what that sounded like.

Draco’s hands shifted, one drifting between her and the wall, coming to rest on her lower back to pull her more firmly into himself. The other trailed up her arm, coming to drift across her collar bone, fingers catching on the delicate chain of the necklace.

Her breath hitched and he pulled away, eyes searching hers for some indication of what she was thinking.

“Draco,” she breathed, pupils blown and chest heaving.

Draco closed his eyes against the image of her strung out on him.

“Draco.”

“(Y/N),” he said.

He thought he heard her whimper at his voice, the brokenness evidence of the effect she had on him.

“I-“ She was cut off by the sound of laughter from a few feet away.

Draco pulled away; hands lingering on her skin before finally presenting his arm again. She took it easily, looking for all the world composed except for her swollen lips.

You weren’t sure if Draco had overexaggerated the loathing that people would have for him or your presence was truly the deterrent you had made it out to be, but very few people stared at you and even less made Death Eater comments within earshot.

The evening passed pleasantly as Draco dragged you from person to person seeming to play some sort of political game to wring as much money as he could out of them. It would have been impressive if you had had a single clue how he was doing it. You certainly understood the subtext and subtle pushes and hints, but the way that Draco navigated that against jabs and hints towards his own personal and family history was beyond you. You would have much preferred to address everything outright and judge the merits of each argument against each other. Subtle manipulation had never been your thing.

Eventually, the party began to close. Your parents left first a tired Leanna in your father’s arms. You spotted several Ministry members leave, sparking a departure of the press as their main targets of eavesdropping and interviews departed.

It dwindled down those within the tight social circle the Malfoys used to operate. Still over a hundred people in attendance, but you were suddenly even more intimately aware of how you stood out. The half blood, the child of infamous muggle activists, and the supposed girlfriend of the Chosen One hovering at Slytherin Prince’s elbow.

Draco engaged in some verbal sparring with Mrs. Zabini and her newest beau you quietly slipped away to the side of the ballroom. Music still filtered through the room and a few couples drifted across the dance floor.

You sighed and leaned against one of the tables at the edge of the room. Your fingers drifted to your necklace, fidgeting with the pendant.

“Are you all right, dear,” a woman asked.

You jumped, startled out of your thoughts.

“Oh! Mrs. Malfoy, I didn’t see you there,” you said, straightening. You barely resisted the urge to run your hands along your dress and through your hair, wanting to appear more presentable to the mother of your… friend.

“That’s quite all right,” she said, an amused smile on her face.

In a velvet green dress with sleeves to her wrists and a high color she looked straight from the pages of a Victorian magazine, but the tight fit of the dress followed down almost to the hem, flaring out slightly, revealing the pointed tips of elegant black heels.

“It’s lovely to meet you. I’m (Y/N), Draco’s friend,” you said, thrusting your hand out awkwardly.

Narcissa’s amused smile persisted as she shook your hand.

“I wanted to thank you again for the scarf. A lovely color you found.”

Catching the knowing look in Narcissa’s eyes you blushed and looked over toward Draco. Engrossed in his conversation, he looked the picture of calm, but you could see the cunning look growing in his silver eyes.

“Yes. It’s become a favorite of mine recently,” you replied.

“That’s great to hear.”

You turned your attention back to Narcissa and smiled warmly. She was a soothing presence and after knowing what she did for Harry in the Forbidden Woods and all that she had done since you respected the woman. She was making an effort to atone, just like Draco.

“This is a wonderful thing you are doing,” you said.

Narcissa shook her head, a somber look broke the smile on her face.

“It is the least I could do. After everything he did. After everything Lucius did, that I did.”

You sighed and looked out over the thinning crowd of people in the room.

“It is more than a lot of people that were on the ‘right’ side have done since. I know that there are many that are seeing what you both are doing to answer for your decisions.”

“And many more that don’t care.”

“Are you doing it to change people’s minds or to help people?”

Narcissa tilted her head and you shrugged.

“(Y/N), why did you run off?” Draco asked, coming to your side.

“Just talking to your mother,” you replied.

Draco glanced between you and his mother before resting a hand on your lower back and relaxing into your space.

You gave him a questioning look, but he avoided it. You definitely did not object to the contact, but in front of his mother and sixty other wizards, it could give people the wrong idea.

And what, exactly, is the wrong idea?

You couldn’t answer that question.

“I must go talk to the last of the reporters. I told a few I would give them estimates on the donations at the end of the night. It was lovely meeting you (Y/N). I hope you could come to tea at the Manor sometime.”

“Of course, that sounds lovely.”

Narcissa left you two with a final glance at Draco’s hand on you.

You looked at Draco and raised an eyebrow.

“Touchy, are we?” You teased.

“Am I not allowed?” He replied, mischief in his tone.

“I never said that. It’s certainly bold though.”

The music shifted to a slow song and before you could react Draco was dragging you onto the dance floor.

“Draco, what are you doing,” you hissed.

“Dancing. Does it look like something else?”

You huffed but fell into step with him. You rested your hands on his shoulders and his went to your back and waist. Not quite dancing, more of a sway, you relaxed into his hold and let him guide you across the floor.

The song shifted again, and you turned your head, resting it on Draco’s chest. Draco hummed and your arms settled into a more comfortable position as Draco pulled you into what seemed to be a hug as you rocked to the gentle music.

I'm fascinated with some of his answers! What does he think of atheists/agnostics, science,other religions like Judaism, Buddhism,Hinduism or people who are condemned by some of the Christians like homosexuals, trans, etc.(It's okay if he chooses not to answer). About his interventions, can't he just manifest the desired outcome since his God? Also, what does he think of Neville's teachings? Or loa in general since it has also roots in other scriptures I think. And are there any quarrels or skirmishes among cosmic beings? How do they resolve it? The Panoptican theory is definitely interesting. And does he think there is someone else watching over them(him and other eternal beings)? I'm also currently contemplating whether him or all this is just a conjuration on your part and mine. I also recommend watching the egg by kurzgesagt. And I'm going to hell fr lol. He doesnt force anyone to believe him. He thinks that there might be a higher power who made him cause when he basically became aware of his existence, there were already some beings who already knew of their existence, so he cant cross that out with complete confidence. He personally believes the idea that every religion and every belief system is partially correct. "If I had a creator, I would give half truths but not lies and when you piece them all together, you will have learned the secrets of the universe", which basically means all the religions and belief system have parts that are correct and if you find all of them, you'd figure it out.

He has this blanket rule for all humans. "If they don't harm anybody as a collective then there is nothing wrong with an individual being part of said collective", basically if they as individuals do not harm others as that identity then he has no problems with them. It's basically I dont care if youre this or that because I'd love you either way unless you hurt people ,, he draws the line there. He doesnt completely understand the condemnation of some of them. Some of them he did say but doesnt stand by those statements today; some he said but was severely misinterpreted (for the gays: he said dont sleep with kids and that is it), and some he didnt say at all. it usually came from people who believed their thoughts and their opinions were that of gods and wrote or rewrote the book

He has a thing against influencing people beyond free will. He'll nudge you in the direction he wants you to go but if you go or not depends on you. Plus the two major interventions I said last time, he directly intervened during that time and it originally had the desired effect until certain things. He did them so humanity itself could restart on all they've done but it hasn't worked because humans stay human. He doesnt want to manifest things get better, he wants to see if it ever does. It's basically his own test on humanity

He's fine with his teachings but thats about it. He doesnt have an opinion on it basically. "What else is there supposed to say?", is all he said after saying his teachings were fine. He finds loa interesting since all Gods and higher beings use it on a technical standpoint. It interests him more than anything. He wont try stopping it or helping it, unless deity-work is involved. He said divine timing doesn't exist anyway

Oh- yeah the Egg by kurzgesgast is actually very accurate to what he was saying, we just watched it. Well except the you're everyone. Everyone is simply a vessel for consciousness and so while you can shift as them, the vessels stay separate. You can be everyone but you're not everyone in one place basically

He doesnt communicate more than he needs to. He says its awkward but doesnt want to explain past that. He can but he doesn't communicate with them all that much and most of them don't try it either

KAITTT OMGG??? I just saw angel saeran and shhehdhddh HE IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!😭💝💝💝 I was having a hard time visualizing what angels wear in the story (or maybe you describe it and i just didn't pay attention im so sorry 💀) and settling for plain white shirt wasnt having it and to see?? its actually a suit with gold highlights?? i never thought of that !!!😭💞usually typical angels will wear boring white gowns or smth like that but tbh its makes sense for saeran to have suit (does reader get a suit as well?) since he's a guardian angel yk?? and sevennn saeyoungggg arghjdhdhd his clothes looks similar to unknown!! thats such a good detail!! AAA YOURE SO GOOD!!✨✨i love the part where we can actually read seven turning into a demon, he has headaches from his new horns, he refuses to see himself even though he extremely feels that he is vastly different than what he used to be and the scene where rika asked him why he keeps the necklace even though its not surviving in hell cause its a holy sign because its the only remebrance a gift from saeran and saeran looking down and saeraching what he can find to see just a glimpse of his brother djdhndnejshsjd!!!! i never get so hyped up for just a few chapters only but i guess i am now 💀 looking forward for the next chapters💞💖💗💘💘💕💕✨

Aw, thank you for saying so! I've got a lot of Angel looks because I'm picturing Heaven to be a place where Angels can decide what they're wearing more or less. You've got Angels that dress in more traditional styles like you mentioned, and you've got Angels that dress more in a modern sense! I haven't described it fully yet but that's because once you met Polaris, one of our two Reader-Inserts, you're along with the ride they're on. They're trying to understand what's happening and do not have the time to focus on outfits. So, you didn't get to see all that much yet! They were too busy trying to figure out how they got Angel Wings!

Demons are no different to me, meaning they can more or less wear whatever they want, but I'll say, look out, pay attention, and look for key words in the future since I'll be describing how everyone else looks soon. If I find the motivation, I might doodle the rest of the RFA since they are involved here, too.

I tend to doodle some outfits that Readers can imagine themselves in for my stories sometimes, and I might do that, too. I tend to draw a couple since my Readers are Gender Neutral and some people want to wear a skirt or pants simply per style. I don't often describe what the Reader wears for the most part just to leave that open, but I can say that Angels in my stories wear a lot of white. There's usually some other accent color in their clothes like golden yellow, in Saeran's case. Demons wear a lot of black and muted tones like browns or reds. It just feels fitting.

I'd say you can imagine any outfit you want for Polaris, just as I'll say you can imagine anything you want for Gardenia, the other Reader that you'll be meeting on Monday since the story has two Readers in it!

Thank you for noticing those key details about Luciel. He... he isn't coping well with being a demon. He hates seeing himself. He doesn't want to imagine seeing himself as a demon because it might taint a memory he has of his twin. All Luciel has that means anything to him is the cross he wears, but that cross burns his neck and leaves a lot of scars because it's not made for a demon. He accepts that pain for himself because he knows why he's in Hell... and you'll find out why he's there soon enough. :)
