You blinked innocently from where you were standing beside the bench, chewing a strawberry lollipop. “Drills?”

“YES. The ones he keeps skipping because he’s ‘too artistically blessed to suffer like a mortal.’ HIS WORDS.”

You looked over the field.

There he was. Charles Chevalier.

Your team’s star midfielder. Your brother’s biggest headache. And your personal chaos gremlin.

Currently, Charles was draped over the goal post like a dramatic cat, waving lazily at his teammates who tried to get him to move.

“Mon dieu~” he called, “My soul is too delicate for this heat! Let me paint with my feet, not drill like a machine!”

Julian turned to you again, deadpan. “He’s quoting poetry. Poetry. During training.”

You popped the lollipop out with a smile. “I got it.”

Julian collapsed onto the bench with a sigh of gratitude. “Thank you, y/n. You’re the only one he listens to.”

You skipped your way across the field.

“Char~les!” you called, hands on your hips.

He perked up immediately, smiling like sunshine. “y/n, my radiant flower! Have you come to rescue me from this prison of repetition and dust?”

You grinned. “Nope! I’m here to make you do your drills.”

He groaned. “Y/Nnnn, drills are boring. They crush my creative spirit—"

You cut him off by clapping your hands excitedly. “But Charles! This is the new whoosh-boosh training version!”

You stifled a giggle as the assistant coach stared at you, absolutely baffled.

Ten minutes later, Charles had done all his drills—and then some—with dazzling flair, sound effects, and an occasional pirouette for fun.

You sat on the bench with your clipboard, watching him zoom past.

Julian walked over, blinking. “Did… did he just thank you for more laps?”

You smiled. “Whoosh. Boosh.”

Julian muttered something about early retirement and wandered off in defeat.

She's my one and only Ravenclaw chaos gremlin with a penchant for dark magic, binge eating, and is a kleptomaniac.

In SSFS, her name nor backstory are ever brought up. This was mostly because I hadn't planned for it to be that long of a fic LOL. But ya know how that goes. MC is unquestionably her. I do plan on bringing her whole story into a future fic (which all of this is subject to change at any notice because I'm indecisive lol).

BACKSTORY: Girlypop's family is from Italy, though her status-conscious Halfblood family has been in the British countryside for two gens now. Her parents were having difficulty conceiving and used some unsavory methods of magic to have her, but she ended up being a squib as a result. They're deeply ashamed of her, and she's a bit of a Harry-type that she lives in their basement, isn't invited to social events, and just does chores and keeps out of their way. She's deeply obsessed with magic though, studies it, steals books on it, etc. Until one night while hunched over a tome, ancient magic bursts out of her and burns the entire basement to soot. And then she gets her ass shipped off to Hogwarts (seventh year - not fifth). Her parents try to shower her with attention and praise once she becomes magical, and uh, no thanks. I'll just say it doesn't end well.

PERSONALITY: Known to wear slightly mismatched clothes in a variety of patterns, colors, etc as so much of what she owns (during her time at Hogwarts in particular) is from her over-zealous use of alohomora around Scotland lol. I'm working on some clothing mods for her!! She loves collecting random things and hoarding as she was never allowed to as a child. She's very intelligent but extremely reactive which continues to put her in the line of fire (she's an Aries, after all). Almost everything that happens to her is her fault (or Sebastian's lol). She loves to complain about wanting some peace and quiet and then proceeds to do the exact opposite. She has difficulty expressing her feelings, but everything she's thinking is written all over her face. She looks at magic in a gray zone and is a clever duelist. To her, it's about survival.

AT HOGWARTS: She holds the record for worst attendance in Hogwarts history lol. In most of my AUs, she doesn't ever graduate her seventh year 😏 (maybe that's a spoiler but oh well LOL). She enjoys charms, runes, and arithmancy. Her ROR is a massive mess of stolen books, trinkets, pie tins lol, and melted candles with wax dripping onto every surface. She avoids the professors, ditched the Keepers, and refuses to be a quest solver for everyone in the damn castle.

Sebastian takes a liking to her immediately after she outsmarts him in the DADA duel. Their relationship is uhhh...LOL. They're a chaos couple that have the same stubborn personality. In almost all of my AUs (in my head because they're all hiding on my computer) he's taught her sooooo much magic that she missed out on. He took the "my charge" thing seriously lol, and even if she says she hates him (she doesn't), she thinks he's the most brilliant person she's ever met. They bond heavily over murder, trauma, and the Dark Arts and are extremely protective of each other. He absolutely loves getting under her skin, and she loves to scowl at him. 10/10 would sacrifice herself for him - they always go down together. It's basic, I know, but they're my OTP🥰

OTHER SHIT: Loves pie and pumpkin pasties. I have an AU where she's sent to Azkaban for ancient magic and Solomon's death, and Seb's a bit loony after using a time turner so many times trying to save her. If she had a job at the Ministry, she'd be a cursebreaker, but I see her more so living a happy life in the middle of nowhere with Sebastian running a questionable business together as for-hire cursebreakers/artifact hunters/sellers lololol. She cannot stand Cressida Blume. DESPISES HER. Her closest friends are Poppy Sweeting and Samantha Dale. Honorary mention to Imelda Reyes as well. Her hair is always wild and knotted and everyone has accepted it at this point. Without fail, she'll forget her gloves when its cold. The things that come out of her mouth would make an old Victorian woman have a stroke😈

I don't think anyone has been named Uriah since like the 1800s but it suits him so well somehow. Voss was also randomly generated by the game which I kept because I just thought it was kind of pretty sounding and fit nicely with his wack-ass first name.

2. Uriah is an only child...at least for now. He likes to say that's because when the Watcher saw how perfect he was, she broke the mold so he could never be duplicated. While it's true that he is perfect, I've cloned him in two different save files and saved him to the bin, so technically speaking there are three of this lil gremlin boy. Lord help us all. I haven't made him any siblings or other family members and I don't know if I ever will but if a story opportunity presents itself in the future, there's no telling what kind of relatives he'll suddenly spawn! 😈

3. If it wasn't immediately obvious, Uriah loves fashion. He craves attention and if his clothes aren't constantly screaming "look at me," he might actually shrivel up and die. He's constantly experimenting with his look, sometimes to ridiculous extremes, and he likes to push the envelope as far as gender norms are concerned. While he likes the looks he gets, he actually doesn't really care much what people think of him. If he wants to wear a dress and heels, he will. If he wants to wear a bat kigurumi, he will. If he wants to wear nothing at all...well...that one might actually get me in trouble, but I wouldn't put it past him.

4. Uriah's sexuality is complicated. You could say he's bi, you could say he's pan, you could say he's a lot of things. Honestly, he's just attracted to pretty Sims with nice clothes, regardless of their gender. He's not totally shallow and he does want to find his soul mate and have a loving relationship, blah blah blah, but you gotta look good if you're going to be his partner! - martin notices everything. what makes a genuine grin slip out at practice and what makes it drop too fast. he doesnt push, but knows exactly what kai needs (a walk, dinner out, cuddling, soft sex, hard sex, a quickie... martin has a fondness for the... latter options)

- kai is, in fact, not chill. his quietness comes from overthinking every social situation hes in; chelsea changed him, and not in a good way. hes actually really goofy but he was bullied at chelsea and stuff so. martin makes space for that

- martin also overthinks, especially in games/ht, so when he does, kai says sm incredibly stupid like "sybau isnt meta anymore, say ikiab" and it gets martin giggling before long

- kai doesnt know how to ask for affection either. he kinda js,,,,, hovers. and waits for martin to notice (loitering behind the couch so martin tilts his head back and beckons him to the spot next to him, messing w his hoodie strings when theyre in bed together, giving him a glass of water so martin can grab him by the wrist and drag him in.)

- when u get past the shyness and really get to know kai, u find out real fast he is a chaotic brainrotted gremlin who has sensory problems sometimes which leads to very weird food takes. martin still doesnt agree grapes dipped in ranch is good.

- martin will send sm like a pic of the sky and say sm flowery shit like "ts reminded me of u cos its the same shade as ur eyes, ml ❤️" and kai'll reply 2 mins later w a pic of a horse and say "this u bruh 🥀"

- martin writes poetry. sometimes for kai, sometimes abt an upcoming game thats really bothering him - js wtvr makes him feel really strongly (either positively or negatively). as a result, there are a LOT of poems abt kai. kai pretends they dont make him blush

- kais nicknames for martin are HORRIBLE. he once called him "my little fjord prince" in the locker room once. martin, video calling his aunt, almost benched himself next game out of sheer embarrassment.

- martin is a morning person. kai is not. so when martin wakes up early to "get some extra training in!", kai convinces him to stay by either a) bribing w the promise of cuddles b) how could u leave ur poor bf here all alone in a foreign country or c) ill suck you off. martin folds every time, which is why hes been trying to sneak out because hes a fucking coach's pet and tries to fit in extra workout days

extra: once kai really starts considering the arsenal boys friends and not js teammates, he feels more comfortable showing affection. one time the whole team goes out and kai reveals that his love language is touch, so when martin was getting hugged/high fived/punched in the shoulder after every single little good thing he did at practice, ben pulled him aside and went "listen man. crazy thing im aboutta say, but like, i think ur in love w martin" and kai goes "what?? nah u playing dawg" and goes right back (see what i did there) to scruffing up martins hair and bens like Okay

I love that she is utterly wholesome. She looks like a cinnamon roll, is a cinnamon roll, and will still absolutely kick your butt while still being a cinnamon roll. Even when she is mad and fighting vile villains, she never has any desire to kill them. She will beat them black and blue, but leave them alive because she always has the thought that they can possibly redeem themselves in the future. It's a noble outlook that is hard not to love.

Writing her upbeat character keeps my otherwise moody self in check and offers me a kinder perspective on the world. If she can give Dr. Doom a little grace. I can give myself grace, too.

😈Worst thing you have ever done to your muse?

Probably the first time I cosplayed as her. I sullied her image when I had to play tug-of-war with my huge stuffed tail when it got stuck in the bathroom stall at the convention. This was before Squirrel Girl was more well-known, so a lot of woman just wittnessed some young squirrel lady cursing at a bathroom stall as she valiantly fought to get her furry tail out of the too small small door gap and ultimately had to unstrap her tail harness all while using language most foul. (It had been a long day, I had not eaten in over 8 hours, and I was so hot from the green bodysuit layered with a furry bathing suit over top and carrying an 8 pound squirrel tail on my back. By that point, I was absolutely done with it all.)

🔥Unpopular opinion about your muse?

I don't know if it's necessarily unpopular, but I like the art style of 'The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl'. A lot of people think the style is really ugly. I like the more rounded features of Doreen and that she isn't made to be some sort of fan service. She looks like an average late-teen/early twenties (cartoon) gal.

😩Hardest thing about writing your muse?

What makes me love her is also a double-edged sword for me. I like writing more conflicted and/or morally ambiguous characters, and Doreen is certainly not that. I am a foul-mouthed, stay-indoors-and-eat-junkfood-while-playing-video-games-in-a-dark-room-gremlin sort of a woman. Sometimes, it takes a lot of work to get into Doreen's headspace when I'm watching trash TV and playing through a "black widow" challenge on the Sims 4.

⌨️What is a situation that you have always wanted to RP with your muse?

I have always wanted to RP in a time frame where Doreen has truly grown up. Even though she is older now, the comics continue to present her as mentally child-like in an adult roll. I would love to play Doreen as an *adult*. She can still be a sweet, morally strong character, but I do want her to be portrayed as a mature, grown woman. I think she can be just a loveable and silly as Squirrel Girl while also being the stable, reliable adult Doreen that people respect and look up to. She doesn't have to be a complete joke character.

Actually, you know what? Distortion!Gerry giving Jon a big old goodbye smooch in my tma dimension-hopping fic, runaway scars. It was a playful meanness on his part, because Distortion!Gerry is, as with every Distortion we met in canon, not on our side and had been manipulating Jon subtly and playing on their closeness the whole time. It was also a playful meanness on my part as well as a nod to my readers who'd started eyeing them as a potential ship - alas, I wasn't pursuing that, but it was a sort of, "I see you and you're valid and Gerry also ships it in his own way, here's a terrible kiss for the road," kind of thing, you know?

🤩 Who is your favorite character to write?

Chatty, mind going mile-a-minute Asclepius in genius loci is always fun, although I won't get to write him for a hot second. I also really quite liked writing Oliver Banks' anxiety loops in youth dipped in folly. But right now, man, I'm having a blast writing Hua Cheng in my very, very many TGCF wips. He's very fun as a gremlin child plotting his revenge on the world, doubly so when he's a little shit sullen overconfident teenager, and as an all-powerful 800-year-old terrifying Ghost King who nonetheless has no idea what to do with affection from his God (and also the guy he's been pining after for those 800 years), he's hilarious. I think it's because he's so intense and made of extremes? But also, admittedly, one of the wips is a second person one that's deep into his head and I fucking love writing in second person, so that might have something to do with it.

🧠 Pick a character, and I'll tell you my favorite headcanon for them.

This headcanon is genius loci specific, because I can sometimes decide that a different headcanon is more fun in another fic, but I like to think of Daniil as a middle child and only boy among a gaggle of sisters that he is, or was, fairly close to. Something about how he vibes so well with the Town's prominent ladies (Eva, Yulia, his P1 dynamic with Lara) and also how cattily he can reply to Anna without missing a step gives me big "oh he's used to being bullied by women" feels. At least one of those sisters also has small children that he's sort of vaguely dealt with before, enough so that he knows it's better to kneel to their height to talk to them and is gentle with the Teensies and Tots. I don't know if he'd ever do the P1 and call them Pumpkin, but he's certainly capable of being Uncle Bachelor when the occasion calls for it.

Idk, it's fun to think of him, who's often so solitary, as part of a large family and comfortable in his place in it, even if he has his various issues with his father. But, more relevant to genius loci, I especially like him having a large family back home because that gives him more to lose, after. :) I have a whole scene in my head about it that I can't wait to sink my teeth into.

(The race riot would've happened anyway, regardless of Louis, as ALL the Black residents were pissed that the racist gov't shut Storyville down.) Claudia, as a resident of Storyville, was fated to die in a fire, and Loustat damned her by PLAYING GOD and remaking her in their image as vampires--Lou by pulling her from the fire, and Les by Turning her.

FACTS. U_U Which is why I don't believe a word of the Ep4 revisit.

I will die on the hill that that whole bit was scripted by the coven--all that BS about the Great Laws and Lestat being oh-so-concerned about Claudia's well-being is complete & utter tripe.

Even Armand's backstory in Ep3 corroborated Lestat's whole attitude against the Great Laws & religious dogma; and his God Complex that allowed him to dismiss anything & everything he DGAF about--UNLIKE Louis & Armand. "Rules are for fools, Daddy Lou!"

It's the whole point why Les busted up Armand's coven, telling them to STOP living by the Great Laws--learn from humans, "see death in all its beauty," and quit lurking in the shadows like filthy gremlins. Les's whole creed is that vampires should do whatever they want. And Les tells us in the books that's exactly why he made Claudia (X), and why HE alone was responsible/liable for punishment (X).

Les Turned Claudia cuz HE wanted to Turn Claudia--eff Lou's begging, eff the Great Laws--eff CLAUDIA. She was a means to an end, and the collateral damage in Loustat's "stormy romance;" the "shingle that flew off your roof." Claudia never lied a day in her life. 😔

Exactly. Even Claudia recognized right off that she "made things right" whenever her parents had "problems:" namely, Lou hating being a vampire & killing, but tryna please Les, for the sake of their family. Lou's 100% culpable for his failings by Claudia, but AMC constantly shows that Loustat baby trapped each other, based on the whims & desires of LESTAT. HE chose Lou as his family; and HE chose to make Claudia for Lou to KEEP him--come hell or high water.

The COVEN was the the one that tried to push all the blame onto Lou to make Les look innocent; like HE "couldn't prevent it;" that jezebel dared to use ultimatums to force helpless Les to Turn her; puh-lease. LESTAT was their Maker, their TEACHER, the HEAD of their family.

And at the end of the day, Les "taught" them EFF ALL--including about Armand, the Coven, and the Great Laws.

Unlike TWMBK, the Paris Coven was a secret Lestat SHOULD'VE told them about from the start, even if it was just to say: Chile, they're some freaks over in Europe, we're not gonna live like them, but keep a heads up if any grimy cultists try to indoctrinate you in some weird vampire-themed theatre in Paris, cuz I frikkin founded it, and they've got a whole shrine to me cuz Armand's in love with me and might kill y'all just to spite me; whoops? 👉👈 My younger years were WILD, I tell you! 😅

TRUE. Claudia even said their early years were "easy times," when they were all happy together, b4 Charlie died. Everything went south the second Les put his hands on Claudia; putting her in a chokehold to force her to watch Charlie burn in Ep4; and chokeslamming her in Ep5 after he read her diaries, and before the fight. Even the book showed Les' child abuse, and the ways he would threaten Claudia to keep Lou in line. Lou should've stood up to defend her WAY sooner, but he DID fight for her, and stand by her, even if it wasn't good enough--which is more than Lestat can say, at least. 🙄😒
