Sorry, Batman was just the other big Jewish superhero with lots of adaptations I knew. Have you seen enough adaptations to do The Thing? Or honestly, do Superman anyway; he fits thematically if not literally
I would LOVE to do a ranking of Clark Kents based on how Jewish they are thank you so much
Tumblr media
Worst of the worst is Henry Cavill's Superman. This is Jesus. Fuck this Superman stop portraying him as an otherworldly savior he is of the people he is Clark Kent not just a monstrous twisted version of Kal El !!!! (Sidenote this is also the only role I have ever disliked Amy Adams in.) Jesus himself might have been Jewish way back when, but Jesus metaphors are not, in any way shape or form, Jewish. -2022 years of Christian persecution of Jews/10
Tumblr media
As much as this hurts me, next up is Smallville's Clark Kent. Tom Welling does an excellent job in the role and is my personal favorite, but I do have to admit it's at least partially nostalgia. The show opens by putting him on a cross. He redeems himself throughout the show, however, embodying more and more of the comic's spirit as the time goes on, and by the end it becomes very clear that Clark Kent and Kal El are one and the same, and that that is what gives Superman his strength. Accepting your Jewish name ahem Kryptonian identity alongside your goyiche passing name ahem human identity over the course of ten years is very Jewish. 6/10 but it gets some nostalgia points lbr
Tumblr media
Next up is Christopher Reeve, may his memory be a blessing. I have only seen two of his Superman movies, but they are such a joy to watch. He truly understood the spirit of the character, the kindness and selflessness and need to help others that stands at the center of who Clark Kent is. His passing at such a young age was a tragic loss in so many ways, the ways he embodied Superman included. 8/10
Tumblr media
Finally we have the original comic Superman (i.e. pre52 and post Rebirth, fuck all that n52 nonsense). This Superman is, quite simply, Moses. It was a clear metaphor written into his character by Jewish creators simply trying to express their identities as Jewish immigrants in the late thirties, and so much of that identity has survived the test of time. They gave him a Hebrew name, for God's sake! If I've said it once, I've said it a million times: Superman is the embodiment of Jewish principles of goodness. Making the world a better place is an action, and what better place to see that than in Action Comics? 10/10, we owe so much to Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel.

Hey My Stand-In fandom, Are we hoping for a plot twist?
I see some of you are hoping Joe's body isn't gone and he just fell through the trees into...a deep lake or something, and survived.
Tumblr media
So I wonder...
Option A - Switching back: If model Joe returns eager to get his body and life back, stuntman Joe might be down to swap, but only if -- after paying off model Joe's debt -- model Joe agrees to coldly break up with Ming for him once and for all.
Option B - Joe's dead: This could trigger the next stages of grief for Ming, which could drive Joe to believe Ming really did love him, and convince him to try to pursue Ming again -- resolved to ultimately live as his own stand-in.
Option C - Paralyzed amnesiac: If Joe's body survived, it would have to be pretty banged up. If Ming saw him in that state, he would go out of his way to dote on him and dedicate his life to making model Joe's life easier. And it would be extra tragic if stuntman Joe decided to switch back, so as not to subject model Joe to a life of paralysis. The amnesia would also make the decision wholly his, and that much more selfless. Plus, it would explain why it took model Joe so long to return.
Option D - Joe soulmates: I saw some viewers suggesting that Ming recognizes Joe in his new body because their souls are connected, but one could argue that the Joe's souls are even more so -- or at the very least their bodies vibrate at the same frequency that they could swap so easily. What if that's because they're the ones that are meant to be, and this was all an elaborate way of getting them to find each other?
Option E - Joe dream: Ming did hit him pretty hard on the head that night when he kidnapped him. What if everything after that was just a very vivid dream, and he's been in a coma for X amount of weeks? What if Ming is in custody for attempted kidnapping, and when Joe wakes up, the accident never happened? What if it ends with Ming's parents paying off the cops and sending him out of the country? 🤔
What if I had more patience to wait for the next episode? 🙃

Prueba de la fe Pelicula Cristiana
youtube
Upon thoughtful introspection about life and the pursuit of happiness I've resolved to find whatever hobby and work that I can find. And so, in searching for something to watch to distract I found the above link of a YouTube movie about God. Often times we find that we believe in him but do we really?
Going to church, listening to class and seeing other people that follow him somehow still doesn’t feel like it’s enough. We get the feeling of being part of some clique movie and end up getting it all wrong. Sometimes we just have to find our way however we can and be grateful that God exist and sometimes in the smallest moments where we can just appreciate life, where we’re at and that somehow tomorrow can be better than the day before.
Summary of the Story:
The Story of Joe Amableamo follows a man grappling with deep personal and spiritual turmoil. At the outset, Joe is a disillusioned man who has lost his faith after the tragic deaths of his granddaughter and his son in law as well financial hardship in his company. Struggling with grief and a sense of purposelessness, Joe is disconnected from both his family and his spiritual beliefs. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when he receives a divine message instructing him to compete in a global golf tournament. Initially skeptical and unsure of his abilities, Joe gradually begins to trust in God and the plan unfolding before him. Confronting personal issues threatening his family along with despair and nostalgia for his last taste of hope joe participate in the tournament- a game- with a promise of winning 3 million dollars, credibility and the redemption of his faith.
As Joe faces adversity on the golf course and in his personal life, his journey becomes one of spiritual renewal and growth. Throughout the film, Joe learns that his true mission is not about winning but about embracing faith, hope, and love. In a twist of fate, Joe loses the tournament, but his opponent, Archibald Brodwik, makes a selfless decision to donate the prize money to Joe's daughter to help fund her work at a non-profit school. This act of generosity, coupled with Brodwik’s confession about the true reward of kindness and giving, reinforces the story's central themes of faith, family, and perseverance. By the end of the film, Joe's transformation is complete—he has rediscovered his purpose and restored his faith, with love and gratitude leading him to a new chapter in life. The film ultimately underscores the power of faith, the importance of personal sacrifice, and the profound impact of living with compassion and hope.

what are your thoughts on nao as a character?
Anon, I'm delighted that you asked me about Nao! I've wanted to write something about Nao for the longest time, but it's hard to find the words. The thing is, I love Nao so much!! She is a character who hits close to home for me. I feel like I knew lots of Naos growing up, and I'm a bit like Nao myself. The people I grew closest to in school were the shy artist kids. If I were in the Death Game, I hope I would be brave like Reko, but...then I see Nao, and I see the more vulnerable parts of myself reflected back at me.
I think Nao is difficult for me to analyze because she has no filter. I’m more guarded with my feelings, even when I’m frightened of the world. You could call Nao crazy or hysterical, but the problem isn't with Nao; the problem is with the Death Game. We could even say that Nao is the only one reacting properly to being trapped in a Death Game. Isn't this the perfect time to panic?
When I first saw Nao, I immediately assumed that she would die. Out of all the characters, I was most certain that Nao would not survive. Sure, she might get to be comic relief for a while, but I couldn't imagine her being anything more than that. A punchline. An easy target.
Imagine my surprise when Nao became much more than that! "Nao is a strong person," Sara says near the beginning of Chapter 2. Sara admires Nao's maturity in being able to process her grief for her beloved teacher. She contrasts this with her own inability to get over Joe. I thought that was an astounding moment, for our brave protagonist to praise the young woman consistently derided in the narrative as weak. It meant a lot to me that Sara would look up to someone like Nao, when Nao is fully aware of her own weaknesses. But Nao is braver than she knows, and Sara readily points that out to the player.
While Nao always wears her heart on her sleeve, she also makes a serious effort to be a useful team member. She wants to be helpful. She cares about her companions and thinks of them as her friends, especially Reko and Sara. One of the bravest decisions Nao makes is to kill Fake Reko so that Sara won't have to carry that awful burden by herself. It was a painful decision, but it was the only way she could save either Gin or the real Reko. No matter what Sara chooses, Nao is there to take responsibility in the end. Nao is a good friend.
Nao shows us how far she's grown when she secretly teams up with Shin to defeat the Rogue Mishima AI. It was a risky plan but they pulled it off. And it's a fantastic reversal of how Nao was pitted against Shin with the frying pan in Chapter 1. Nobody is using her now; Nao has agency and she's using it however she wants! For Nao to trust in Shin shows that she believes in people's capacity for change, which is an admirable quality. Additionally, she is able to inspire others to believe in Shin as well, which was integral to the escape plan--a plan that nearly worked.
It's easy for me to draw parallels between Nao and Shin, since they are both deeply emotional people. However, Shin hides those emotions and refuses to trust in people, while Nao embraces her emotions and tries to trust in everyone. It wasn't an easy path for either of them. But they were able to find a balance in their hearts for a short time when they formed an alliance. They were both growing as stronger people, more open-hearted yet wiser.
But growth isn't always linear. By this time, I was enthralled by Nao's character development and I had started to believe that she would survive. So the reveal that she was going to die anyway devastated me. Even though Nao had worked so hard to be a braver person, receiving the Sacrifice Card shook her to the core and made her feel weak again. In her weakest moment, Nao asks Sara to leave the others to die and escape with her. While completely understandable, the narrative contrasts Nao's selfish request with the selfless requests of both Shin and Kanna. Nao is here to remind us that humans are often weak-hearted. It’s hard to be brave.
If Sara takes Nao's hand, then Nao once again insists on taking responsibility herself, just like she did with killing Fake Reko. I think Nao's insistence on taking responsibility isn't simply bravery; it also reflects her low self-esteem. Nao doesn't want a worthy person like Sara to suffer from guilt, but Nao doesn't view herself as a worthy person.
If Sara refuses Nao, then Nao feels a burden lifted from her shoulders since she avoided hurting anyone else. However, she spends her final moments screaming that she doesn't want to die. Out of everyone, Nao's death breaks my heart the most. Other characters die with dignity or heroics. Nao has neither. She was just a shy art student who wanted to live. It didn't matter how much she grew when the game was always rigged against her.
Nao is a character who means a lot to me. I love her weak heart because it's deeply human, but that makes her brave moments that much more meaningful. I wish that she had lived, but her death was a pivotal moment in the narrative for me. I had gone from assuming this character would die to being shocked that she could die. Even though her fate was tragic, I'm grateful to Nankidai for creating her.

Guilty Gear -STRIVE- Story Review. (ugh finally)
Alright, the game has been out for more than a month now and I’m sure a lot of fans who’re dedicated to the story and lore have watched the story mode of Strive.
If you haven’t watched the story mode, this review is going to have spoilers (no duh). I strongly advise you to not read this unless you’re okay with this. You’ve been warned.
Before we get into the review, I’m not going to complicate it and prefer to keep it simplistic to avoid going off track. It won’t be too long of a review, so to make it easier for myself, I’m going to do the pros and cons.
The Pros
The story mode really gave a more cinematic feeling to it unlike the XRD series. In SIGN and Revelator, the story was a mixture of anime and visual novel in terms of the mechanics. Here, the story was executed differently for the viewer. In all honesty, it felt like I’m watching a literal movie...you know, the ones you see in theaters like Marvel, G. I. Joe, etc. At the same time, it is more anime-esque due to not having the text boxes from the XRD series.
Parts of the story mode reminded me of certains movie scenes I’ve watched before. For example, the part where Happy Chaos invaded the White House and forced the country leaders to disable the nuclear weapons reminded me of the scene from G.I. Joe 2 where Zartan, who was disguised as the President, made the world leaders disarm the nukes while using psychological warfare.
Another thing I’d like to add is that the main story gave certain characters great closure and development, including Sol, I-No, and Axl Low. I-No’s ‘death’ was extremely sad and even sadder once you realize her true identity. The plot twist I did not expect to see coming was that I-No is actually Megumi, Axl’s girlfriend--or rather an alternate version of her from another timeline. It makes sense considering how I-No showed some sympathy toward Axl because they were both carrying a heavy burden with their powers to manipulate time.
I’m happy that Sol didn’t share the same fate as Ragna from Blazblue where he ‘dies’ or is nonexistent from the world. After everything he’s been through, Sol literally deserved some peace and quiet for once in his life along with Jack-O (New Aria).
Speaking of Aria, Jack-O’s development and internal struggle with her identity is very tragic. The poor girl acknowledges that she isn’t the real ‘Aria’ and felt that she is robbing another person’s life. The fact that she is having an identity crisis lead to the part where she feels that she’s a failure of a Valentine to Asuka and was willing to sacrifice herself to stop I-No, but Sol thankfully stopped her just in time to show her that his love for Jack-O is genuine. Despite her childish behavior in XRD, I really liked how they humanized Jack-O along with the other Valentines. They really helped making the Valentines feel more than just copies of Aria/Justice and become their own unique individuals.
Lastly, I want to talk about the man of the hour....my hubby <3
Nagoriyuki. I’ll be frank with you, I was expecting him to play a role similar to Slayer. Thankfully, it wasn’t the case. Now, here is the thing, people find it sort of controversial on how they made it where Nagoriyiki is a ‘slave’ to Happy Chaos for obvious reasons that I’d rather not go into because I want to keep this review light-hearted.
I loved how they humanized Nagoriyuki and made him a very sympathetic character. While he is insanely powerful and stronger than he truly lets on, he feels more ‘vulnerable’ than Slayer. Let me explain what I mean, you see...the difference between Slayer and Nagoriyuki in my opinion is that Slayer feels like a complete force of nature as a vampire and observer who experienced a lot of events that occurred in the Guilty Gear world. However, Nagoriyuki is far different from Slayer because you see that Nagoriyuki is internally conflicted and immensely guilty for his actions. If you play the Arcade Mode and do all routes to hear the dialogue, you see that Nagoriyuki deep down feels guilty for hurting many people, possibly when he first became a vampire. His own arcade story where he fights his darker self showed that the man is willing to stay true to his Bushido traditions and his humanity instead of drinking blood like all vampires do to remain at their peak. I was in a way right that he is no different from Sol in terms of their situation that they’re trying to remain human as possible and not become monsters. He feels more ‘human’. While it upsets me how Happy Chaos treated him and held him against his will, you can’t help but to grow attached to the poor man and seeing him in a vulernable position opens doors for character development.
His personality is likeable and endearing. I like that he showed concern for Sol’s wellbeing and warn him to run away if he is in no condition to fight during the White House invasion. It goes to show that Nagoriyuki is compassionate. While he isn’t as strong as Slayer, well in my opinion, I do admire his passionate spirit and willpower. The highlight scene for me that made me love Nagoriyuki a whole lot was when he regained control of his body and purposely lets himself lose to Sol. That showed the kind of person Nago is, he’s willing to lose and probably die as a free man than to spend of his life as Happy Chaos’ puppet hurting innocent people and tarnishing his Bushido ways. I must admit, that part kind of made cry a bit because I was unsure if Nagoriyuki survived one of Sol’s strongest attacks and it looked like he was burned to a crisp. That selfless attitude of his one of the few personality traits I adore about him.
Same goes for when in his Arcade Story, Nagoriyuki told his darker self that he is willing to starve for eternity than to drink from humans or anyone in general. He says with certainty. To me, I like that he is willing to put others before his himself as a person. What I didn’t expect from Nago is that he has the ability to see weak points of his enemies and given how his sword screwed up Sol’s regeneration, I have to say...he is more deadly than I anticipated. I hope to see this man more in action one day.
One more thing, I do like how Ramlethal and him had a heart-to-heart dialogue in her Arcade Story. When you think about it, Nagoriyuki is similar to Ramlethal for they both ‘work’ for powerful entities from the Backyard and are searching for a purpose as characters. Like Ramlethal, Nagoriyuki keeps denying himself for he is implied to be ashamed of his preivous actions, but Ramlethal wants him to accept himself and is willing to help him. Sadly, he just takes off.
I’m really looking forward to seeing more of him in the future. This character has a lot of potential.
The Cons
While I like the story, it isn’t without its flaws.
The real flaw is that it leaves more questions than answers.
Guilty Gear’s story and lore feels only 75% complete for me. Where is Happy Chaos? What happened to the Seeds? What happened to Faust? Where was Ramlethal and May?
Most importantly....what is the Blood of Juno and how did Ky gain his own Dragon Install?
The pacing of the story mode felt a tad bit rushed and doesn’t explain a whole lot of things. Heck, we never got enough decent information on Giovanna or Nagoriyuki.
There are too many loose ends and leaves me with unsatisfactory.
However, at the same time....this makes me want to know more about Guilty Gear’s lore. With the new story mode coming this year, I’m eager to see what Daisuke has in store for us. The main story was heavily focused on concluding Sol’s story, but still...there are a lot of loose ends.
I hope with the new story mode, we’ll be able get answers to many of the unanswered mysteries.
I’m not convinced that Guilty Gear is ‘over’ until everything is explained!

SNK Character Death Ratings
Hey, all!
Long time no see!
SNK’s end is nearing, so in this post I’m going to rate the chances of each character dying.
“Die” in this post means they are dead by the last page of the manga and are not indicated to die in the events immediately thereafter.
“Deaths”, for example, that are explained to happen after the events of the story are counted as surviving. As such, titan shifter death clocks do not count.
Chances of death will be rated on a sliding scale:
Safe Dead --> Likely Dead --> Lean Dead --> Toss Up --> Lean Alive --> Likely Alive --> Safe Alive
Let’s do it.
Eren Jeager: Likely Alive
Yeah, I think Eren will probably live.
In Attack on Titan, people only survive by making harsh sacrifices, and there is no way I’m taking time to establish that.
This has lead most of the fandom to believe the final sacrifice that will have to be made is killing Eren.
But, like, it’s really not much of a sacrifice?
Eren isn’t the guy who carried the boulder at Trost, anymore. Nor is he the guy who took down the Colossal Titan at Shighanshina.
Eren is the guy who murdered humanity. “Warmongerer,” “murderer,” “traitor,” all these words describe him far better than “hero,” “friend,” or “Chad.”
So who cares if he dies?
Good riddance!
After everything that’s happened, I cannot see Eren’s death being realistically portrayed as a sacrifice. Frankly, the thought is laughable.
Eren is practically barking about how the enemies outside need to be crushed with extreme prejudice. He’s basically a Trumpist now.
All that said, it’s still believable that Eren will die before the end of the story.
Maybe Eren will die in the final battle, and SNK will just sputter to an end because the world is shit now, and any survivors will have to weather mass starvation, lack of shelter, no medicine, and who knows what else.
If the series tries to spin that as the beginning of a bright future full of hope, I’m going to laugh.
I also think it’s possible Eren kills his friends and lives. It has been foretold that Eren will win, whatever that means.
This “win” that Eren foresaw was probably incomplete, because that’s just how storytelling works, and we’ll learn that he actually “lost”. He doesn’t have to die, though, for that to happen.
We don’t actually know what Eren’s win condition is, other than that it entails Historia living (as in she’s still breathing when this is all over, her actual desire to live notwithstanding) and Eren’s enemies dying.
Eren’s enemies are dead or will die soon. Even if the Alliance kills him, they have nothing to return to. The world is dead. At this point, they’re fighting solely on principle.
Good storytelling usually emphasizes karma and just desserts.
…I think there’s a good chance Historia will die by the end, if only to ensure Eren doesn’t get away with what he’s done.
But Eren himself doesn’t have to die for this scenario to play out.
On balance, I think Eren living is slightly more likely than not.
Historia Reiss: Likely Dead
I’m really sorry to all the Historia stans reading this. Historia can’t catch a break, and I don’t think it’s going to get better.
Historia’s role as the damsel in distress so far has only made one thing clear: she doesn’t matter.
She’s a hot girl who exists to be placed in danger and spur everyone to action.
Historia has been nothing but fodder for Eren’s character development. I think it only makes sense for that trend to continue.
If Eren, the tragic villain, is favored to live, then storytelling logic dictates that Historia, the villain’s muse who inspires him to murder, must be favored to die.
If Isayama gave a damn about her character, it wouldn’t be like this, but this is the world we live in.
Cruel, yet oh, so beautiful.
Mikasa Ackerman: Lean Dead
If Eren is slightly favored to live, then Mikasa’s chances aren’t too great.
A tension is being built up between Eren and Mikasa: between Eren’s desire to wipe out his enemies, and Mikasa’s struggle to cope with that.
The reason Eren is likelier to live than Mikasa is because while Eren in eminently capable of throwing away everything precious to him, Mikasa…isn’t. Like, at all.
Mikasa has always been clingy towards Eren, but I will her credit: multiple times in this arc, people have openly talked about killing Eren, and Mikasa has not tried to murder them.
Mostly.
When Mikasa gets told to go somewhere else to contribute to the mission, it’s because they can’t trust her to come through for them if it falls to her to kill Eren.
Eren is prepared to kill Mikasa, but Mikasa still struggles with needing to let Eren go.
In this situation that is a critical advantage.
If Mikasa is supposed to fail to overcome her love for Eren, the series will almost certainly seek to highlight that by having her confront Eren directly and fail at the moment of truth.
If Mikasa is supposed to succeed in letting Eren go…well, Isayama may decide to kill her anyway.
The moment Mikasa resolves definitively to let Eren go, her character arc is complete.
After that, all bets are off.
Maybe she resolves to kill Eren, but fails anyway.
Maybe she kills Eren, and then dies. The world is cruel, and thanks to the Rumbling, it is also now ugly. Mikasa’s whole life has been crushed. Her dream was a simple rural life. That’s not possible anymore.
Like. In any form.
I think an ending where she dies after fulfilling her duty is not out of the question.
Armin Arlert: Lean Alive
If the Alliance has a good chance of failing, that means they all have a good chance of dying. I do, however, think he has a better chance than the others of living.
I think that with Paradis’ enemies wiped out, the Walldians will be in the mood for a more level-headed leader.
The thing about nationalists like Floch and Eren is that they’re only popular during times of desperation. After the people feel secure again (or the nationalists destroy everything and people realize how much they suck) they’ll usually gravitate towards a more traditional leader.
So I’m saying Armin could be the Joe Biden to Eren’s Donald Trump.
Basically, if Armin isn’t playing some leadership role post-Rumbling, he’s dead. That can happen even if Eren wins, though. That’s why I give him about even odds.
Now that Armin is in P A T H S, he’ll probably try to speak to Eren again. If SNK has any final reveals about Eren’s motivations, it’d happen here.
…I really don’t want the pregnancy to be real.
I really don’t want it to be Eren’s surprise motivation.
But if it’s coming, it’ll happen here.
I don’t know what Armin will do if Eren drops something like that on him.
Armin…isn’t as capable as people think he is.
His attempts to negotiate a peaceful resolution with the world were flailing and unsuccessful.
I don’t know how he’s going to negotiate with a dad who’s convinced that violence is the only viable option to protect his kid.
When Armin is the one who failed to broker a peaceful resolution to begin with.
When Armin tried to convince Connie to back down from violence, he was immediately shut down by Connie, and it was laughably easy!
Armin can’t even negotiate with CONNIE.
That’s the intellectual firepower humanity is relying on.
Don’t expect him to win.
(NOTE: Huh, you know, I never realized until now, but this series has totally ruined every major character. Armin is a useless idiot, Mikasa probably needs someone to hold her hand the rest of the finale, Historia’s been sidelined. What happened?)
Reiner Braun: Lean Dead
Ok, I know everyone thought Reiner would die last time around, but this time…
Eh, I think Reiner will die this time.
Reiner’s character arc is basically over. He’s found a new source of motivation in the form of Gabi and Falco, and he’s made peace with all the people he’s hurt.
There may be a scene coming where he reconciles with his mother. That would require him surviving the final battle, so I have him down as only leaning dead.
Annie Leonhardt: Lean Alive
Annie has a better chance at living than most everyone else, but that’s only because many scenarios where she lives or dies are easily foreseeable.
Maybe Annie is able to meet her father again.
Or maybe her father will die, and Annie decides to move on from her past and fully commits to Armin.
Annie’s character is in a different place compared to  the others. Most of the other characters’ arcs have been played out or will be by the time the series ends. Annie’s isn’t.
Annie has a burgeoning romance with Armin. And it’s a romance that could lead to children. We all know how much this series looooooves children.
I think Annie has a good chance of making it out alive, especially if Armin does too.
Jean Kirstein: Likely Dead
Sorry, but I think Jean is destined for the glue factory.
Jean had a chance to live a long, peaceful life when Floch offered it to him. He passed it up.
You might think Jean should be rewarded for his selflessness, but we all need to keep in mind that one of the themes of Attack on Titan is that if you end up sacrificing yourself for others….you end up sacrificing yourself.
Jean made his choice. He’s not coming back.
Connie Springer: Likely Dead
Connie is going to die for the same reason Jean is: it’s the path he chose.
He chose to make his mother proud by fighting for humanity, even if it’s a suicide mission.
It’s the path he chose, and that’s it.
Pieck Finger: Toss Up
Pieck is something of a wild card.
I list her as a toss up because she seems closest to Gabi, and I think Gabi has a good chance of living. If Gabi is going to survive, though, she’s going to need a new mother figure. Pieck would be great in that role.
At the same time, her character is not particularly important. I could easily see her dying just to give the final battle a higher death count.
Gabi Braun: Safe Alive
Gabi is one of the likeliest ones to live.
She’s not directly participating in the battle, she’s safe from the rumbling, she has a burgeoning romance, and she’s a kid.
Kids have died in Attack on Titan, but never one who’s a major character.
As a child, Gabi represents the next generation; the future of humanity. To fulfill that role, she needs to live to the end.
Falco Grice: Likely Alive
Falco is a kid, too, so ofc he’s bound to live.
Not only is he a kid like Gabi, he’s also in love with Gabi. I highly doubt this series would end with a burgeoning romance cut tragically short.
Individually, Falco and Gabi represent something important in Attack on Titan: the future. Future leaders, future workers, future caregivers. They are humanity’s future.
But as a couple, they represent something even more important than that: posterity. The promise of an ongoing future for humanity.
Falco and Gabi love each other. When they get older, they’ll marry, and they’ll probably have kids.
Attack on Titan always emphasizes needing to move forward. Falco+Gabi is how humanity moves forward from the Rumbling.
Levi Ackerman: Lean Alive
Yeah, really.
I think Levi is going to make it.
He’s a safe distance from the battle, he knows he can’t fight, and he knows that he’d fail to kill Zeke even if he tried.
What we saw in 136 was Levi starting to make peace with the fact he is not going to fulfill Erwin’s final order to him. He’s starting to see the big picture: his role was to create a better world for humanity’s posterity.
That’s why he chose Armin over Erwin. Erwin had played his part and earned his rest. Giving Armin the injection was a generational passing of the torch.
In light of that, Erwin’s final order doesn’t seem so important.
So if Levi stays rational, he likely won’t have to do anything that would risk his life.
He may well make it out of this.
Zeke Jeager: Lean Alive
Zeke is probably going to live just because he’s the one who’s been most obsessed with death. It’d be weird if Attack on Titan (which theoretically celebrates life) were to grant Zeke his death wish.
If Zeke has been imprisoned in some sense by Eren, then he’ll probably live on in some form, so he may not live in an “on earth” kind of way, but alive is alive, so I’m counting it that way.
Everyone on Fort Salta (inc. Onyankopon, Mr. Leonhardt, and Ms. Braun): Likely Dead
This one wasn’t hard to figure out.
Their lives are directly contingent on Eren losing, so if Eren is likely to win, that must mean they are likely to die.
It would be sad for Karina and Mr. Leonhardt to not reunite with their kids, but that’s not a major problem in the grand scheme of things.
Miss Kiyomi and Yelena: Likely Alive
They’re stranded in the middle of the ocean, but if Falco survives, he can come back and rescue them.
I think they’ll be alright.
Ymir Fritz: Safe Dead
She’s already dead, silly, so of course that’s her rating. :P

What to expect from the Charlie Bird, Loud and Clear documentary on RTÉ tonight
New Post has been published on https://petnews2day.com/birds-news/what-to-expect-from-the-charlie-bird-loud-and-clear-documentary-on-rte-tonight/
What to expect from the Charlie Bird, Loud and Clear documentary on RTÉ tonight
Tumblr media
Charlie Bird, Loud and Clear is a heart-wrenching hour and eighteen-minute testament to the legacy of broadcaster Charlie Bird. However, it is more than that. It is an archival piece of television that references some of the biggest historical moments of the past fifty years, many of which Charlie was at the coal face of.
The documentary opens ahead of Charlie’s Late Late Show interview back in December, where he pledged he was going to climb Croagh Patrick.

Ahead of the interview, host Ryan Tubridy asks if there is anything they can do to make it easier for Charlie, to which he responds “I want you to do one thing, and it’s be yourself, and I’ll be myself too.” This exchange gives an insight into the story of Charlie’s illness, and the brave, selfless way he handles it.
Viewers will be brought into Charlie’s home, where he and his wife Claire express the true love they have for one another. Claire shares the story of how the couple met, explaining with a laugh how her and a friend used to go to the RTÉ canteen and ‘bird watch.’ “We went for a pint, he asked me out. I was 37, Charlie was 57 and when I met his daughter’s they said ‘how was your 40th? And I said, ‘I’m not 40 for another three years’, so he had added on a couple of years to keep the daughters in the good books”
We also meet Tiger, Charlie’s beloved dog, who has been by his side throughout his illness.
“I didn’t want a dog! I hated dogs. I gave in, and then I fell in love with him.”

Viewers will also gain an insight into the voice banking technology that Charlie is now using to communicate. The couple meets Trevor Vaugh, the Assistant Professor of Design Innovation at Maynooth University, who is assisting with the voice banking.
Charlie’s wife Claire shares how she has been tirelessly trawling through footage of Charlie, of which there is plenty, to help with the technology.
Charlie also shares his experiences in politics, and how he soaked in the turbulence of the sixties with the Vietnam War.
“I’ve never hidden the fact that I joined the Labour party, and was a young socialist.”
Charlie talks about starting out in RTÉ in 1974, and how he had no formal education.
“The day I joined the RTÉ newsroom I hid in my inside pocket a pocket dictionary, I would walk out of the newsroom, go into the toilet and into a cubicle, and look up the word I couldn’t spell.”
Charlie meets Bride Rosney in the documentary, who was a special advisor to Mary Robinson during her presidency. Charlie and Bride got to know each other during this time, share anecdotes of the historical moment Mary Robinson became the first female president of Ireland.
Charlie speaks about his involvement with the Gay Marriage Referendum in 2015, and how his book ‘Climb Every Mountain – Charlie Bird’s Marriage Equality Journey’, went on to become a play.

Charlie talks about many of the historical events he reported on during his life, from the IRA ceasefire to the tragic Stardust fire in 1981.
Viewers can expect to see footage from all over the world, from Charlie reporting at Ground Zero in 2001, to South Africa when Nelson Mandela cast his famous vote.
Some friends and colleagues of Charlie appear in the documentary, including Joe O’Brien and Tommie Gorman.
Charlie Bird: Loud and Clear airs on RTÉ One tonight at 9.35pm.

IN MEMORY f REMEMBRANCE THE HOLOCUAST-BLACK LIVES MATTERS-911-2001-VETERANS COMMEMORATIVE DAY-NATURAL DISASTERS-INTERNATIONAL TERRORISM and etcetera
Hello All Beloved Kindred Spirits.
I will welcome to hearing from Senior Council Executives, Presidents or Rabbis and leaders within the Jewish Community from around the world as well as Palestinians including BLACK LIVES MATTERS Senior Decision Makers overseas and or within my local chapter CALISTA WA 6167-AUSTRALIA.
Please note I do not communicate with degenerate computerized Daleks from Dr Who-ever Machines asking for petty donations hence why so many disasters went viral out of control past and present to date. Same applies to dealing with insignificant office clerks too busy polishing their nails, drinking tea all day or now a days too busy texting to friends for selfies.
I will also welcome to also hearing from all Executive Councils of Thoughts and Conscience from around world’s: GOVERNMENT (Presidents-Prime Ministers and Royal Members of Sovereign Countries) wishing peace of and for future survival with ongoing intentions to never forgetting history’s Dark Matter as in Space: WORLD’S MEMORIAL GOVERNANCE of REMEMBRANCE that we NOT FORGET the FORGOTTEN LOST of past, present and future.
This is also with regards to this horrific bloodshed against innocent people, children and animals caught up in the middle east at present. I am indeed sorry for this ongoing dispute which I fear will escalate to WW3 which I hope not as if we haven't enough to worry about such as this pandemic, shortage of natural resources, the economy with worse to follow such as weather patterns of the CURSE KIND in addition to an asteroid heading our which is not a question of IF but WHEN perhaps within 47 to 80 years from now.
On a positive note of Hope, I intend to go ahead with: IN MEMORY of REMEMBRANCE with Love, Compliments and Compassion against all odds and oppositions but alas I alone cannot move this MOUNTAIN of HOPE alone towards PEACEFUL-ACCOMPLISHMENT hence Teamwork is necessary for all to be involved to be nominated for THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE with my support and blessings. No not me as I have already made PEACE with GOD which by then I shall be 86 enjoying my final contribution as a philanthropist via my creation of:
“THE PEOPLE’s SYMPHONY of REMEMBRANCE”
And other related short works/songs Live New York 2026 with world-wide TV coverage of this special one off Multi-Million Dollars Historical fund raising event coinciding with “JEWEL-A-THON” in presence of President Joe, World Leaders, Royalty and Celebrities front row heading a mass audience of several thousand-w-tickets from $21 to $2.1 million dollars to commemorate the tragic year of 911-2001: World Trade Center.
Thank you for reading this whereas I will look to communicating with a REAL PERSON of good authority and not by some insignificant office clerk dismissing my Intentions as a scam in: Our world of suspicion, paranoia, superstition so on but by the same token in contradiction to asking funds for prayers which sad to say did not save 6 million Jews did it? in addition to another 30 million lives lost during WW2 and counting for God help those who help others by action not prayers for selfies. This includes superfluous chatter meetings after meetings while we are all suffer and die away slowly in agonizing sufferance: A C T I O N THE K E Y to OVECOME EVIL IN SACRAFICE.
Remember: the MIND LIKE A PARACHUTE CAN ONLY FUNCTION WHEN IT OPENS for IMAGINATION IS BETTER THAN KNOWLEDGE: SURVIVAL: THE MOTHER of ALL INVENTIONS and the wittiest thus ANYBODY WHO IS ANYBODY IS NOBODY, BUT ANYBODY WHO IS NOBODY IS SOMEBODY hence I hope it is you-The Reader SEEING THE PICTURE by reaching out to me IN MEMORY of REMEBRANCE which is nothing compared to colonizing Mars within its barefoot soil.
So, meanwhile, take care, stay safe, God Bless and Musically Yours. Jan Anthonisz. (1941-2041) The Silent Christian: Producer: Composer: Artistic Director: Coordinator. For more detailed information, please feel safe to contact me direct: [email protected] (Calista WA 6167) Call / Text: 61 (Australia 0) 466 370 484
It’s okay I’m user friendly and fear me not as I am use to the occasional death threats from some of these Looney Prunes hence in God I trust-In other’s I don’t (as written in my Mini-Bible aged 7 and how true to this very day) (Humility-Simplicity-Trust-Believing in Yourself as Faith is the Key with admirable selfless action towards others not prayers)
So please make your donation to a center near you NO NOT ME. Thank you as I am trying to lose weight
Ps: I make no apology to being blunt-outspoken especially when it comes to SAVING LIVES as life is too short to play games that children do-chasing rainbows. Thus, it appears if I may cause offence by being direct which for I'm renowned for so what? For this is not about you or your beliefs but THE LIVES and FUTURE OF OTHERS-ANIMALS-EARTH or what’s left of it.
Many laughed and under estimated Hitler and look what happened plus other tragedies to date which sad to say some folks may take my views and predictions out of context personally as this is not about them as I reiterate but those suffering with agony to death. Too many academic Derelicts out there who have lost the plot now that Donald Duck Trump has recovered from: OPEN HEART PERJURY who is now a BIDEN-ning his time for his:
“2nd Coming of The Reich Kind”
since Mary had a little lamb. Now her cats are everywhere: POLITICIANS and RELIGIOUS LEADERS in SHEEP CLOTHING just like the KKK. (Finger Trigger Happy.) So sad so many are still brought up what to think not how to think. Same applies what believe not how to believe.
Ten (10) things all politicians have forgotten: Common Sense. NOT GOOD. BLESS YOU and THEM ALL. JAN ANTHONISZ: Producer: Composer: The Silent Christian like all animals and children with suckling innocence. Cell Direct: 61 (Australia) 466 370 484

Well you know what the realm is its thousand days in these stories we agreed to what’s up ladiesand gentlemen welcome back for another game of thrones video now that it’s a new year I’m sure we will be getting someone’s ones areand also the Dragon updates very soon so make sure you’re on the lookout for those in the meantime only go back to grandmother in season eight as you all know the ending to game of thrones essentially split the fandom right down the middle one I want doing this video is basically rewrite the entire final season over year ago before season eight was released I write several different outlinesand plot like so much Aniland just like with the final season some of you did like themand some of you hated them now when you consider what Danand Daveand HBO actually gave us further final season some of those leaksand outlines were actually far superior than what we got so what I went aheadand did was gathered up some of those ideas I think make for a much better season I also sprinkledand some of my own theories of course so feel free to let me know what you think down below so without further ado let’s begin now as you all know the very first episode a game of thrones began a castle black with the introduction of the mice watch as well as the white walkers want to do the exact same thing with the final season I want to begin a castle black if your member season sevenand did what the my King knocking down the wall at least watched by the sea during the white walkers invasion buried on Darianand Foreman giant Spain were able to escape from that attack so the very first episode of my final season will begin what Barrickand Foreman arriving a castle black to inform everyone of what happened at East watch immediately after they were laid the information we will see several men from the mites watch begin to send out ravens to inform everyone about the breakthroughs watched by the sea right as we are watching some of these ravens fly away from castle black we will hear the sound of their horn blows three times signaling that the Army of the debtor there at that moment Barrick on Darian will tell Foreman giant Spain to take a horseand had sulfur winter fell while Barrick stays a castle black with four commander Edand the rest of the remaining members of the mites watch we can still see all the ravens flying with our messages from castle black writers are almost out of frame we see the makings Dragon burn them all before their messages can ever make itself to all the other houses this is one Barrick Schultz not all of the debtor and a castle black we can see that the Army the dead have split up only a few hundred whites are running for castle black while the making is Dragonand the rest of his army are heading south for much bigger targets than the few hundred whites reach castle blackand the battle begins you see one of the many reasons why fans were so disappointed with season eight was because of how the making story ended we waited eight seasons for them to get to the walland then as soon as they did they all died during the first battle a winter fell well that’s not about to happen in my version of the events as you can see the final season opens with an attack from the dead just like the first season opened with her introduction this will set the tone for the entire season winter is here ladiesand gentlemen as well as my Kingand his army of the dead now let’s go to the next scene another thing that was very disappointing about the final season was how brand Starks abilities were underutilized to say the least I mean let’s be honest brand barely did anything at all well that’s not to happen in my version of the events either this scene begins with brand Starks sitting in the gods would next to the where witchery we see brand’s eyes go from white back to normal he looks over at the May Stern says how long was I going the minister says I’m not sure may be a few hours brain says he is not seen anything this time he may have been thrown out of a vision similar to how he was thrown out of the ravens when Mikey noticed he was washing him brain also says something must have gone wrong Brandon signals to the May Stern to help them back to the courtyard brain says they are here now we get a big arrival scene with John Snowand an air start Darian only in my version this seems not to go on foreverand ever John to nurse Jura teary in various Breanne downand some soldiers arrive inside the main courtyard of water fell your more Mont immediately notices sansand some of the other Northerners are looking at the NARA suspiciously they already let us know how they felt about Danny last season tearyand Lester looks aroundand notices they are already reinforcing the walls of winter fell we then see Johnand sans embrace each other first she wants to know how they were able to get Circe to agree to set her armies North which tearyand then shows a and bows his head sans looks a bit surprised as if she doesn’t believe it then we see John embrace brand is a very similar reunion as to the one we got in the show John looks very concerned by brands like of emotion sans essays brain situation is hard to explain but he has visions now John looks like he wants to say something but that he notices Oreoand I have to be honest the reunion Johnand Lori had during season eight was a bit underwhelming for me which was very disappointing because it was the one I was looking forward to the most out of all the stork children I believe they have the closest relationship at least in the books they are both constantly thinking about each otherand I was hoping that would come across when they finally reunited again for whatever reason it just wasn’t as emotional as I was hoping so I’ll try to fix that in my version of the final season now we know that John did ask her about needle the store that he had given her before you left but this time I would have aria mention something about just how much the sword has meant to her as you all know aria was willing to kill other characters over that sort it is also safe for life on many occasions not to mention one aria was training at the house of blackand white she had to get rid of all her personal belongings to help enable her to strip away from her former identity however needle was the one thing she can never let go of aria can never fully become no one because she cannot allow herself to get rid of the swordand most importantly forget about her familyand life as a stark needle was not only a gift from John but also represented who she wasand where she was from so when we see John Askari about needle I want her to express this to John in some way afterwords we can have sans the engineers meet for the first time been saw as a can tell Danny winter fell is yours your grace we can also see Sam Gilley in the baby standing across the courtyard ghost is sitting right next to them after sansand Danny meet John’s glass on software’s little finger if you remember John nearly killed little fingerand the Crips right before he left one of fell Renaissanceand begins to tell him aria cuts her offand says I executed him John is shocked by that information he knew little finger was a shady character but he never could have imagined aria would be the executioner John now knows Ari is no longer the same little sister he grew up with but before John can even let all the new information sinkand he’s then greeted by Samand ghost John’s been downand scratch goes right behind the ears while Sam begins to ask John about the Dragon glass from Dragon stone John will thank him for sending the information about where the Dragon glass could be located these can ensure all of them that there is more than enough Dragon glass storm everyone in the North we then see Terryand walked over to sansand asked her how she was able to escape from King’s Landing during Joffrey’s death she says little finger was behind it little finger has been behind almost everything he helped her escape from King’s Landing but he was also the one who helped barter Joffrey as well as the wrong Liza John Erinand many many others John wonders how to sansand all of this the little finger admitted before his execution sans as you look over the brandand say I told you he has visions John will look over the brand with a very surprised look on his face brand of course is sitting there emotionless John says it’s time for all of us together inside the main hall we need to prepare for the wars to come inside the main hall John can see the look on everyone’s face is that Harris takes her seat at the main table the very first thing he does is remind everyone the king in the North has bent the kneeand is now serving the NARA start Darian Jan Roy stands upand says why haven’t you learned from the mistakes of your uncle Brendan Starkand your grandfather the target Aryans cannot be trusted John angrily shuts back at him the nurses came here to save us not only has she given us as much Dragon glasses we could possibly need but she has also brought her own armies as well as her dragons John also says she has already help me fight the dead despite how dangerous that was she even sacrifice one of her dragons to do so what if you sacrifice more voice more Glover rises to his feetand says I have not seen any of this for myself brain Stark says I have seen it they are telling the truth to nurse finally standsand says I’m not here to slaughter the North I will help you to be the makingand then we will go down southand defeat Circe Lena start together we on a more Mont says how was it that you were able to get Circe to agree to send her meant to help you knowing she’s gonna need those men later to defeat you aria start follows this up with we cannot trust Circe Lena Mr she lied to save herself she is not to be sending any of her meant to help us dear Elaine Esther has a concerned look on his face we then see Sam what was the brand he says when you tell John the truth he needs to know brand will say not right now the tension in the room is already high John Snow will then walk to the center of the roomand say I will not force anyone to stay hereand fight the dead but if you do stayand we somehow survive we will go to war or for the NARA star Garyand because it’s obvious she is here to go to war for us so whoever is staying here to fight need to have all their men get the winter fell all of the northern lordsand ladies begin to discuss their options some of them still seem to be undecided about what to do this is one brain Stark says we do not have time to argue the dead do not argue in fact the day do not speak they follow one king than I King I knew many of you may not believe me but I have seen them I first metand I Kingand a vision than he found me in the far north he has left his mark on me what your brain shows the entire room the Vikings mark on his arm brand then looks at the NARA’sand says he has also left his mark on your Dragonand now your Dragon fights for him this silences the entire room the nearest appears as if she is about to cry brand ends the discussion by saying that I King is Army are now south of the walland they are heading this way join us in this fight otherwise everyone you knowand love will die now we get on the King’s Landingand am also to start the scene off by having Khyberand revealed Circe that the Wallace Wallinand the debtor moving south Circe will have the same reaction as she did during season eight McKay barn is also going to inform or something else he will say what he has been working on his near completionand that Circe should come see it for herself they will walk to the great Hall until they reach one of the back rooms once inside they will go down a ladder to a seller that’s in complete darkness except for a faint glow of green that can be seen for nearly 100 yards we can see that there are hundreds if not thousands of pots a wildfire stored right underneath the throne room Khyberand then says there’s more stashed all over the city he implies that he has been working nonstop on producing a unlimited supply of wildfire since the explosion of the septa Baylor was so successful as Circeand Khyberand begin to leave the seller we go outside where we see your aunt’s fleet arriving in the Blackwater bag there are hundreds of ships filled with Golden company soldiers we can see that some of them are already unloading the cargo there are hundreds of warhorses as well as dozens of elephants fitted with body armor this is the Golden company we should’ve seen during the final season Harry Strickland in your own great joy begin have a conversation Harry Strickland wants to know does the NARA star Garyand actually have full grown dragons resort about them yet he has never seen them for himself your own assures them to nurse does indeed have dragons but they have something to defeat them as they walked to the back of the silence you’re on uncovers one of the largest blisters we have ever seen in the next scene Jamie Lancaster meets with Braun at undisclosed location before he left King’s Landing Jamie sent word to Braun to meet him somewhere along the road to the north he tells Braun is leaving King’s Landingand Circe for good he intends on keeping his word to John Snowand in our star Garyand and if Braun wants to survive the winterand get what is owed to him he would be advised to join forces with them as well Braun does not appear to be happy but he does agree to follow Jamie back in the North John Snow is down below in the Crips of water fell similar to the scene in season eight deniers walks down there to be with John when she stands beside him she will ask how many family members has he lost during the recent wars John will talk about Ned Catlin Robin Rick on he tells her about how Rick on died right in front of him during the battle for winter fell he will tell her about how Rob was betrayed by some of his own men John says unfortunately his mistakes led to his own death this may or may not be foreshadowing John says Rob was at the Marriott woman but he chose anotherand it cost him his life to nurse then walks from that statue over to Leonidas she says she hasn’t noticed any other statues of a woman down here she must have been loved by many John says she was my own liana which is interesting because we all need to nurse is actually John’s on John looks at Dannyand says she was adopted by your brother Ray Gardner Gary the NARA says she has heard the story many times she says she never understood why regular would do such a thing because everyone always told her about how regular was a good manand loved by many of ducting a woman does not sound like something he would do John looks kinda sadand he says it really doesn’t matter now they’re both deadand there’s nothing we can do to change that then as we see Johnand the nurse walking back out of the Crips they notice some commotion happening at the main gate John can see the storm in giant Spain who nearly collapses as he gets off his horse the horse appears to be ready to collapse as well it’s obvious they had been riding nonstop for the nightand day dormant giant Spain is very distressed he tells John about what happened at least once by the seaand Castle black he confirms that I King does have the Dragonand he will be heading their way winter fell was now on high alert. Of pedophilia are the same people that are pushing the mass business because in every city every state where you got the facemask orders being pushed the law pushed as if their laws what you you haven’t charged a Democrat Democrats because most of the funding comes from these major corporations and companies big money players and a lot of these big money players make their money from the drug trafficking and human traffic and is a prime example of how human traffickers use the masks to hide their merchandise as well children wearing masks and masks in general puts children at risk for abduction and the continuation of child sex trafficking how will a perpetrator or missing child be identified if you don’t know what he or she looks like in plans and in plain sight Elizabeth Smart see that that was a girl Elizabeth Smart that went missing and nobody could find a program for a really long time as you is where religions do that columns Jesus and there she has right there in plain sight nobody knew that it was the See Other related products: Viking Fear Is A Reaction Courage Is A Decision T Shirt

Only The Brave: James Badge Dale On The On-Set Hardships & Camaraderie
You play a lot of men in uniform. What do you think sort of separates this role from the other roles you’ve played in the past?
Dale: I’ve played a lot of bad guys too, man, I just want to point that out.
That’s true.
Dale: This film was very special to me. The week of the Yarnell hill fire — I’m a New York City kid, and I was riding the 6th train downtown, the subway. The New York Times did a two-page article on these guys. Fernando Santos is the writer, and she, the 1st half of the article was on what it takes to becomes a tier one hotshot crew. The difference between tier one and tier two. How hard these guys worked. What it meant to be the first crew to come from city, and not a federal agency, or state. Then it was about how they stuck together to the end. What those shelters are and what they do. What it is was like, or would be like. The science behind if you’re standing there, and forty foot wall of flames are coming at you at 3,000 degrees. I was struck by that story. I was sitting on the subway, I don’t know, man. Something seemed deeply important in this story thread. It deserves to be told. I think we can all learn something from this, take something from this. This movie is a celebration of life. It’s a celebration of love, because they gave and their family members gave. If you watch this film, and you watch Jennifer Connelly’s performance, what she gives. This job was special from the beginning, and we’ve all tried to treat it as such. I hope that answers your question.
I think when you’re watching the film you can feel the authenticity, and the tools, the way you guys move and operate the terminology. Can you maybe give an example how on the set on how the advisors helped? It felt like the kind of movie where the details seemed right. I just thought that as an actor, what you got input from and how that helped you create those characters.
Dale: Yeah, thank you. I’m glad you brought that up. We had four former Granite Mountain Hotshots train us. These guys they were all friends, with these guys. Yes, they trained us physically, technically. But also this other side of it was, “Look man we have fun a lot of fun while we’re at work. This is our attitude. This is the way we do it. We’d love you guys to have that same attitude,” so how do we create this culture. Our tech advisor was with us the whole time. We had a firefighter who was with us the entire time. So at every moment, on that set, there was someone who was there for you, supporting you, also telling you you’re doing it completely wrong [laughs]. You know. You start to get into it, man. These guys have a lot of pride in their work, and what they do. The fact that they’re marathon runners, they’re not sprinters. They come in and they last, and they will outlast the man next to them. There’s that little competition with them. The strength isn’t this outward thing that you look at. It’s not a bunch of big, large guys running around, those guys wash out. Strength comes from within, so by the end of it, we were, we’re the number one actor firefighting crew around. There’s no number two crew, and no one is ever going to call us to put out anything, but we took a lot of pride in our work, and it was a beautiful thing at the end of the day. Even as an actors, we’d sit there and be like hey man, look at that line. That’s a nice line.
How did you prepare for the days where you knew that it was going to be hard scene to film? You knew there were certain days where there were big scenes coming up. How did you mentally and emotionally prepare for that?
Dale: I don’t want to get too actory with you, and take to you about process. Everybody works a little bit differently. What I will say that is that we shot Yarnell last. We all knew that was, and what that meant. I’m proud to be apart of this film, and I’m also proud of all the actors that I worked with to be able to do that. We didn’t double people. We didn’t stunt double people. It takes a lot of trust to trust an actor with a chainsaw.
Especially with a beer bottle — opening that beer bottle with the chainsaw.
Dale: That was [firefigher advisor] Brandon Bunch, yes that’s totally true. What you see in the film is the firefighter Brandon Bunch, who was on the crew for a number of years. He was best friends with Garrett Subner, and on the last day of boot camp, we brought out a bunch of beers and we’re all sitting around watching the sunset. He says, “Guys check this out,” and fires up the chainsaw and opens a beer bottle with a chainsaw. Taylor Kitsch was like, “No f**king way, do it again.”
Did he try it?
Dale: No, no. Taylor was like, “Don’t even hand me a chainsaw, I don’t want anything to do with that.” I don’t know if you noticed, Taylor Kitsch had a rake in the movie, and we would anyways make fun of him. It’s his main tool. It’s an important part of the movie, to cut the line you’ve got to break down the mineral soil, and you got to make that thing clean. So Chris MacKenzie, Taylor Kitsch’s character, will come back from the back end after — he cut it himself — but he would come in with that rake and be like, “Yeah, what’s up man? Bad ass at the rake.” Taylor Kitsch filmed Brandon Bunch opening a beer bottle with a chainsaw, and brought it to [director] Joe Kosinsky, and was like you got to put this in the movie, and that’s why it’s on the film.
That’s so cool. This movie is obviously very personal, like emotional. There’s a lot of movies that when they talk about wars, fire, they sometime just don’t go beyond that. This movie touched very personal levels with their family. I’m a military wife, so I know, I’ve seen it, it’s crazy. I’ve seen those scenes in the movie, and I cried like a baby, in the whole movie, I think.
Dale: It’s a good cry.
It’s a good cry. When you think about the portrayal of the more personal moments — like the gym scene at the end [where Miles Teller’s character comes in at the end to a room full of grieving families]. What do you think about those more personal moments?
Dale: That’s a big part of the true story. I’m glad you brought that up because I feel like there’s two heartbeats in this film, meaning there are the guys up there on there on the line. Then you look at Josh Brolin and Jennifer Connelly, and the work that they put into this film. Two people who are flawed, as we all are. We all have cracks and fissures in us, and we’re looking to fill them somehow. To see that those characters trying to navigate each other because they love each other, but they’re both sacrificing. They’re both giving. They’re both giving something up, and both trying to give to each other. That’s an important part of our story, and that’s the part of the story that’s relatable to everybody. You might not know everything about wild land firefighting. You might not have any relationship to a firefighter. I live in New York City, we have a completely different relationship to wild land firefights. It just doesn’t exist. We’re on the structure side. But everyone can relate the Marshes’ relationship in this film, and I mean Jennifer Connelly is so good in this movie. It’s so ridiculous. We all saw this, and Brolin, man — because we’d be out there out there cutting lines. We’re all working together as a crew, and then a day or two would come, where Brolin would go and work with Connelly. He’d come back and be like, “Badge I got to — she’s so good. I got to raise my game because she’s so good.” We’re proud of the movie and proud of everyone’s work in the film.
You think about the film you did last year, “13 Hours.” This is a journey of a different film, but it felt like there was a connection there, sort of selflessness, or heroism, what they’re willing to sacrifice. Did you see that connection in some capacity?
Dale: Yes, sure it is. This is a different story, but selflessness comes in a lot of forms in life. What’s interesting to me just on a personal level is as actors we spend a lot of time thinking about ourselves. Maybe we take, and maybe I’m guilty of taking. I’ve been lucky and fortunate enough to play a number of men who aren’t here anymore to tell their stories. I take something from that, but now I’m learning that I’m taking something different, taking something a little more positive. I didn’t know [the character I play in the film,] Jesse Steed. I didn’t know Tyrone Woods, but these guys have taught me something. I’ve learned from Jesse Steed, and I want to be a better person because of that, because he gave. There was things about him that made me nervous because I didn’t know if I had that within myself. It was something as simple as the fact that this man had the bravery and strength to walk up to people with a big smile and give them a hug, and say, “I love you man.” That scared me more than anything.
So you called this film a celebration of life, and I think that’s an important distinction to make. It’s not just a recreation of a tragedy that sits heavy on everyone. But it’s actually a celebration of these men as actual people. What was important for you that you brought to this character to make sure that Jesse Steed was not just someone who died tragically, but was a round and dynamic character?
Dale: He was a dynamic guy, just what we were talking about. He came to work with this kind of gregarious, positive attitude. He wasn’t involved in himself, he was involved in you, to a man. Everybody I know that I’ve talk to that worked with him would talk about how much he gave. He was that type of guy. He wanted to help you out no matter what, no matter what position you were in. If things weren’t possibly going right over here, he was the type of guy to come up and work right next to you. To show you the way they were suppose to be done. Not tell you you’re doing it wrong, tell you we’re going to do it together the right way, In my conversations with his wife — he left a wife and two children behind. What blew me away was this guy would go work 16 hours a day cutting line. He would spike out for two weeks, and come home and be present with his family. He gave to them, he had that ability. He didn’t struggle with that. He was larger than life guy.
What was training like for the film? Where there some times where you were, “Like holy s**t this is hard,” and then did you find yourself like competing with some of the other guys on set?
Dale: There wasn’t a day when someone wasn’t going like, “Holy shit this is hard,” and there wasn’t a day we weren’t competing with each other.
Were there weird tactics that you had to do, like Josh [Brolin] was mentioning, or Miles [Teller] was mentioning, there’s a 45 pound back on your back for sit-ups and push-ups. Were there some tactics where you were like I’ve never done this in a gym before, but it’s happening?
Dale: Oh you don’t go to a gym. If you worked on this film, there was no going to the gym. I’m a runner. I run a lot, so I get up in the morning and run. We would be out there or something, you start to really, you take pride in your work. You don’t want to take a break, I don’t want to sit down. I don’t want to take my pack off. I want to cut that line. I want to be in front line. I would watch Miles, what was so funny about Miles, is he was at first like, “God, what am I doing? I’m an actor, I’m a Hollywood actor,” and  by the end he would be like, “F**king put me in front of the goddamn line.” He enjoyed being able to set that pace. I’ve never experienced anything like this. Come to work with 20 guys everyday. Work was everyday, all day, no matter what, and all of them came with the right right attitude and gave to the film. From Josh Brolin, Miles Teller to myself, and Taylor and all the way down to the guys doing their first movie. It was their first experience in filmmaking. We would grab them and I’d tell them, “Look, this isn’t normal. So soak up every moment of this because this is rare.” In filmmaking there’s a beginning, a middle, and an end. When we finish production, that’s it. You don’t get a second chance at it. There’s no second season. It’s done. So you give everything, everyday. Every moment you have, you be present. You soak that up.” On an actor level, I’m proud of those young guys that we worked that that was their 1st film. It was pretty cool.
Your parents were in show business in different capacities, how much did it influence you? Or did you want to rebel and not do that, or just sort of say I’m going to do what they’re doing in some capacity?
Dale: I tried to rebel as much as I could. I played hockey. I was like this is what I want to do. What’s strange to me is hockey got me back to New York City, and then I got injured, and all my energy went into the theater department because I thought that was the easiest thing to study while I was playing hockey. It’s funny where you end up. But they were — just a little shoutout to my parents, they were strong performers. What they did impart on me was this is a blue collar job. This is born and bred in work ethic. What you put in is what you get out. They weren’t Hollywood, they were New York theater actors. It’s a different mentality.
Were they nervous when you went into it? Were they proud of it, or was it?
Dale: Hated it. They’re like go be a doctor, go get a real job. Why do you want to do this for? My father is still around, and we have a close relationship. He’s really happy because we have something we share. We talk about it all the time.

Waffle House shooting victims ID'd as worker, star athlete, music artist - CBS News
Tumblr media
Authorities have released details about the victims of Sunday's shooting that left four people dead at a Waffle House in Tennessee. They were identified as 29-year-old Taurean C. Sanderlin, 20-year-old Joe R. Perez, 21-year-old DeEbony Groves and 23-year-old Akilah DaSilva.
Nashville Mayor David Briley described the shooting as "a tragic day" for the city.
"My heart goes out to the families & friends of every person who was killed or wounded," Briley said in an statement. "I know all of their lives will be forever changed by this devastating crime."
Here's a look at the those killed Sunday:
Taurean C. Sanderlin, 29
Taurean Sanderlin of Goodlettsville was a restaurant employee and was killed outside in the parking lot.
DeEbony Groves, 21
DeEbony Groves of Gallatin was inside the restaurant and was fatally shot.
The Tennessean writes Groves was remembered as a brilliant young woman and tenacious basketball player. She was an exceptional student and star athlete at Gallatin High before enrolling at Belmont University where she placed on the dean's list.
"She was a brilliant young lady, very, very intelligent and a very hard worker," former Gallatin High School basketball coach Kim Kendrick said of Groves. "She was a very likable young lady. She was one of three seniors on her team, and she was a great role model for the other players because of her hard work and dedication to her studies and to her school."
Groves was a senior at Belmont University majoring in social work.
CBS affiliate WTVF-TV posted a statement from the university saying the campus community is "shocked and devastated":
"DeEbony Groves was a senior at Belmont University majoring in social work. The entire campus community is shocked and devastated by how such senseless violence has taken the life of this young woman, an individual full of immense potential. We extend our thoughts and prayers to her family and friends as they come to terms with unimaginable grief. Belmont will be offering counseling and other support services to members of our campus in the coming hours and days."
Joe R. Perez, 20
Joe Perez of Nashville was at the restaurant at the time of the shooting and was killed outside in the parking lot.
Perez's mother posted on Facebook that "today is the hardest day of my life. Me, my husband and sons are broken right now with this loss. Our lives are shattered."
Akilah DaSilva, 23
Akilah DaSilva of Antioch was critically wounded inside the restaurant and later died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
DaSilva's mother, Shaundelle Brooks, told CBS News her son was a student at Middle Tennessee State University where he pursued a career in musical engineering.
"He meant the world us. He was humble, kind, compassionate, outgoing and very creative. We could describe him in so many words. He spoke through his creativity and he entertained the world through his music," she said. "Akilah ... meaning the intelligent one who reasons."
CBS affiliate WTVF-TV writes that DaSilva went by the nickname "Natrix."
DaSilva's family said he was one of six siblings and "hopes that in the midst of this senseless act of terrorism and hate, his life will not be in vain."
"He had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that would warm your heart," his family said. "He embodied compassion and had a zeal for life. A loving son and selfless friend, he was a beacon of hope, love, and strength in his family."
They added: "We hope that this tremendous loss will spark tangible action in true gun law reform so no other family would ever have to experience this sort of tragedy."
A verified GoFundMe page has been setup in DaSilva's honor.
The family said his girlfriend, 21-year-old Shanita Waggoner, was one of those wounded in the shooting. They said she underwent surgery and doctors were "trying to save her leg."
CBS News' Gisela Perez contributed to this report.

A Michigan community has been left heartbroken and stunned after one of their high school football players unexpectedly died on Friday after recently undergoing knee surgery.
Trevon Tyler, a 16-year-old junior at South Lyon East High School who played guard and tackle for Cougars, suffered a torn meniscus during an Oct. 4 football game, Detroit Free Press reports.
After suffering the season-ending injury, the 6’4″, 300-pound starting lineman underwent a routine knee surgery, which his head coach Joe Pesci said went successfully.
“He had surgery maybe three or 3½ weeks ago to have that fixed,” Pesci told the local outlet. “That surgery went really well. They fixed everything up. He had been doing physical therapy with our trainer at the school.”
However, things took a turn for the worst last week when Pesci said Tyler went back into follow-up surgery, where he suffered major complications.
“I guess he had to go back in, to get something cleaned up, a week ago last Monday,” he explained. “They said that went well. They took care of everything. Everybody went on break. He was in good spirits.”

“I guess, Thursday night, maybe late, he developed a blood clot,” Pesci continued. “And Friday morning, we were told he developed a blood clot, which led to a heart attack, and he passed away Friday morning. It’s somewhat mind-boggling that it could happen.”
The tragic news was confirmed in a GoFundMe page, which was set up by the football boosters on behalf of Tyler’s family to assist with the “unexpected expenses”. The description says that Tyler’s death was a result of a complication from his recent surgery.
“His community is heartbroken,” the page reads. “He wasn’t just a player respected by his coaches and teammates he was a friend and student loved by so many here at South Lyon East High School and in the South Lyon Community.”
“More importantly, he was a son, a brother and loved family member,” the page continues. “He will be missed by his family, teammates, coaches, and everyone who was blessed to have known him.”

Additional comments on the page from Tyler’s loved ones remembered the teen as a “very nice student and young man” with a “colorful smile and infectious positive attitude.”
“Trevon was one of my good friends who impacted many lives and never stopped caring for people,” wrote someone, while another coach of Tyler’s added, “Coaching Tre was a great joy in my life. He always had everyone laughing. I was looking forward to watching him grow up.”
“He was a great kid; I remember him always having a smile on his face,” added another person.
Following news of Tyler’s death, Pesci said the coaches at South Lyon East held a meeting with their players to help them cope with the sudden loss, which fell on Thanksgiving break.
Pesci told the Detroit Free Press that they invited the players to their locker room, where they could cry and grieve over Tyler’s tragic death, as well as share memories of the teen.
“We had about 20 guys there, six coaches and my athletic director,” Pesci explained to the outlet. “For about an hour we sat in the locker and talked about the situation about Trevon.”

“It was tough. The guys start coming in. All you want to do is hug each one of them and tell them that you love them,” he continued. “We hugged every kid on the way in, and then on the way out it was the same thing. You are still kind of numb and don’t know what to do. We just want to make sure we are there for our kids.”
Pesci also noted that the coaches made sure to emphasize to their athletes the importance of speaking to someone during this difficult time.
“We just expressed to our guys, ‘We are all hurting. You are going to be hurting for a while. The big thing is, don’t keep it in. Make sure as feelings start to build up, reach out to one of us, to a teammate, a parent, whatever. Just to get it out,'” he recalled.
In the wake of Tyler’s death, South Lyon East held a schoolwide whiteout on Monday. The Michigan community also showed their support for the late teen and his family by tying white ribbons around their trees, according to the GoFundMe page.

As for the football team, Offensive Line Coach Chad Stuckey told the Detroit Free Press they plan on honoring Tyler in the offseason, as well as in the coming football seasons.
“We have a saying at East. It’s called ‘Be EAST’. We tell the kids, ‘Be Engaged, Be Accountable, Be Selfless and Be Tough,'” he explained to the outlet. “When we break a huddle, we chant, ‘We are?’ And everybody goes, ‘East!’ And then, ‘We will?’ … Our slogan for next year is going to be: ‘We are East! We will? Play for Tre!'”
“I think he could have played at the next level,” Stuckey continued of Tyler’s legacy. “He was an athletic kid, good feet. Hardworking kid.”
But it’s not just his performance on the field that Tyler will be remembered for.
“As a kid, just the nicest, most fun-loving, caring kid,” added Pesci. “Walked with a pretty big pep in his step. He always said hi to everybody. Everybody loved him. He was a little bit of a jokester. Had this big laugh. Always made you smile.”

How Pop Culture Helped Me Embrace My Mixed Latina Identity
Tumblr media
Image Source: POPSUGAR Photography / Jessica A. Gonzalez
Jessica A. Gonzalez is a writer based in New York.
From childhood through young adulthood, I’ve always had (at best) a vague sense of diasporic confusion — I never felt truly American, nor Hispanic, nor Asian enough. At its worst, the confusion would manifest into a form of self-loathing and envy of those around me who could seamlessly identify with whatever they chose (at least, to my eye). My ethnically ambiguous appearance didn’t help things. Straightish hair, almond-shaped eyes, and brown skin with yellow undertones were not especially defining.
My father is from Vega Baja, Puerto Rico — the same place Bad Bunny hails from — and my mother is from Manila, Philippines. They met in New Brunswick, NJ, and I was born about a decade later. I grew up eating arroz con habichuelas and chicken adobo. By age 4, I was responding to both of my respective grandmothers in either Spanish or Taglish (a Tagalog and English hybrid commonly spoken among Filipinos in both the US and the Philippines).

My parents in the early ’90s.
Being raised closely in both cultures as a half-Puerto Rican, half-Filipina-American, identifying as simply “mixed” didn’t feel like enough. It didn’t feel fair.
Being raised closely in both cultures as a half-Puerto Rican, half-Filipina-American, identifying as simply “mixed” didn’t feel like enough. It didn’t feel fair. Along with my Philippine culture, I wanted to reclaim my Latina heritage in my own right. That was very important to me. This naturally took a toll on my confidence and sense of belonging.
Eager to carve out my own take on the identity I was given (later realizing I was blessed with), I looked to different outlets to help me feel more in tune with being Latina and connect to other Latinos around me. I wanted to feel like I shared something in common with them even if it wasn’t at first obvious.
Music has always been emphasized in my family. Because of my parents and grandparents (I was raised by all of them), I listened to a mix of salsa, merengue, bachata, boleros (I like to think my Filipino grandpa embraced his Spanish roots this way), ’70s disco, and ’80s and ’90s pop a la Janet Jackson.
I didn’t turn to music to consciously help me further embrace and learn my Hispanic culture until I was about 9 years old. At the time, I had just started at a new school that wasn’t as culturally diverse as my old Catholic one, where mixed Hispanic and Filipino kids were everywhere (looking back, this wasn’t too weird since many Hispanics and Filipinos tend to be Catholic). In fact, until I switched schools, I thought it quite common for people to be mixed in general. Because of the lack of diversity at my new school, I had the desire to hold on to my culture and found music a potent way of doing so.
I learned the words to Spanish songs I’d only heard in my dad’s car or blaring from the basement while he practiced the congas. I started with salsa classics like “No Le Pegue a La Negra” by Joe Arroyo and anything by Celia Cruz, El Gran Combo, Marc Anthony, and Victor Manuelle. These were songs I’d heard my whole life, but I was now intentionally listening to the words and connecting with them.

A ’90s selfie with my father, el conguero. He has played the congas in the same Spanish-language cover band for almost 30 years.
I looked to fashion and beauty, getting to know empowered style icons, from Selena Quintanilla to Bianca Jagger. It helped me pick pieces that I felt my best in and learn how to do my makeup to help me accentuate and ultimately learn to love the features I used to feel confused about.
I can’t deny how discovering Latina and mixed-race style icons has helped me feel more comfortable in my skin. I looked to Selena and Jennifer Lopez growing up, but as I got older, I found seeking out mixed-race celebrities and models helped me feel more comfortable with my less-than-common physical features. I found people like model Jessica Gomes, who is a half-Chinese and half-Portuguese and proudly credits her mixed-race heritage for her striking appearance.

With my mom and my sister. Thanks to my other, I’ve grown to love my features.
I also turned to literature and language, reading Latinx authors to strengthen my Spanish and improve my understanding of Hispanic and Puerto Rican history.
I felt more empowered as a mixed Latina, armed with more knowledge of the beautiful history that nourishes my roots. Using pop culture, I was able to piece together my own interpretation of my mixed Latina identity.
Taking Spanish-language history classes in high school and college opened my eyes to the importance of understanding Puerto Rican history. My method of choice was reading memoirs and poetry. The gateway to my interest in Latinx authors and literature was a memoir about legendary Puerto Rican baseball player Roberto Clemente. His story of selfless courage — from occupying the space as one of the first Puerto Rican professional baseball players to his tragic but heroic death (he passed away in a plane crash on his way to deliver food and supplies to hurricane survivors in Nicaragua) — inspired me to learn more about important Puerto Rican figures in history.
From here, I discovered other Spanish-language authors, like Gabriel García Marquez, Pablo Neruda, and Jorge Luis Borges, among others. I learned about their respective countries’ histories, strengthened my Spanish reading and writing, and garnered inspiration for my own writing. I felt more empowered as a mixed Latina, armed with more knowledge of the beautiful history that nourishes my roots.
Using pop culture, I was able to piece together my own interpretation of my mixed Latina identity. As Latinx people, we should always be looking for ways to empower ourselves and connect to those around us. It is only in these ways that we can keep the culture thriving and contribute to making the world a more accepting, comprehensive, and culturally fulfilled space.

Children honor fathers lost on 9/11, by following in their footsteps. Warning: Tissues will be needed.

Stephen Driscoll’s son Barry became a police officer last year. He received the same shield number as his father, who died on September 11.
The handsome son of a hero cop who died on 9/11 has followed in his selfless father’s footsteps and joined the NYPD’s ranks — taking his dad’s shield number.
Ann Driscoll, widow of Emergency Service Unit cop Stephen Driscoll and proud mom of Barry Driscoll, 25, says she has no reservations about her only child’s bold decision to carry on his dad’s work.
“I never worried about Stephen, I’m not going to worry about Barry. God has a plan, He will take care of you,” she told The Post.
Rest in peace. Those you left behind honor you and continue to do so; their strength is a true tribute.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

IN MEMORY of REMEMBRANCE
THE HOLOCUAST-BLACK LIVES MATTERS-911-2001-VETERANS COMMEMORATIVE DAY-NATURAL DISASTERS-INTERNATIONAL TERRORISM and etcetera
Thus it appears if I may cause offence by being direct which for I'm renowned for so what?
