Could you do a short fluff scenario about bill being clingy with the reader, and they just cuddle for hours until the reader wants to go to the bathroom. As she trys to move bills arm that’s wrapped around her, bill just whines and pulls her tight around him. The reader tells him she needs to use the bathroom and she’ll come back quickly and bill lets her go.

I SIGHED walking through the door, kicking my shoes off and placing my bags down. I got a drink of water and made my way upstairs to the love of my life. I opened his door slowly with a smile on my face, he heard his door creak open and immediately knew it was me.

“schatz!!” he yelped as he jumped up off the bed, and picked me up in his arms. I hugged him back, just as hard. we sat on the bed and talked and talked for hours, that’s just how it was with bill. he understood me, he loved me, he cared for me. he’s everything I could ever need in a man.

bill continued to talk about his day, I stared at him with love and desire. everything about him so pretty and perfect, I giggled quietly and hugged him. the sudden action startling him, but he always loved my hugs. so, he hugged back almost instantly. “.. baby, I love you so much. you mean the world to me..” i mumble into the crook of his neck, he hugs me tighter and mumbles something back. “can we cuddle..?”

i give a weak smile and nod yes, i laid down and bill rest his head on my chest. curled up like a little baby. i played and fidgeting with his hair, he whispered sweet little nothings to me. and every now and then i kissed the top of his head gently, I loved him. I loved this boy so damn much.

we stayed there, in silence. I think bill fell asleep eventually, but I just laid with him, not a single word or sound. it wasn’t an awkward silence, nothing was awkward with bill. I couldn’t remember how long we had been there, but it had to have been atleast a few hours. I felt bill move around a little, groaning quietly and rubbing his eyes. I continued to caress his head and whisper to him

“it’s okay. it’s okay baby..” i heard him mumble i love you and it sent butterflies to my stomach. anything this boy could say made me feel loved, or seen. he gave me just the right amount of affection and reassurance.

I started to doze off as well, as soon as my eyes had fluttered shut. I needed to use the restroom. I pursed my lips and sighed. bill was asleep, he wouldn’t notice me leave right?

I picked up his arm from around my body gently and slowly, and tried to scoot off the bed quietly trying not to wake bill up. he whined and pulled me closer and tighter into his arms, I giggled and rubbed his head whispering to him.

“billy, I have to use the restroom..” he nodded his head no and whined again. he picked his head up to look at me and gave a weak tired smile. I smiled back and caressed his cheek gently, giving a little kiss on his nose. then telling him again, “I’ll be quick, I promise my love..” he protested again, digging his head into my neck giving soft kisses.

“please mama, don’t go..”

I sighed at his words, I wanted to stay but I really did have to go. I leant down and kissed his lips instead. I stared right into his chocolate eyes, practically begging to go. “billy, please? you know I’ll come back.” I said with a small smile on my face, he sighed and nodded yes. I give him one more kiss. and slide out of bed to the restroom, I watched him curl back into a ball and watch me. just waiting for me to get back out.

after about a minute or two, I walk out. he smiles and pats on the bed. I go over and lay back down, he latches right back into my arms as he gets comfortable again. I sigh and play with his hair as I whisper to him.

“I wouldn’t leave you for anything billy.”

(special) 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐑: Aisha is a realitvely skinny character, IT IS ONLY because of the realistic perspective of an apocalypse people didn't have that much food/ had to save food so there were technically really many people that didn't have that much body fat on them, don't get me wrong. everyone is perfect in their own way. but this is for the purpose of the story's reality. if you are not comfortable with it I am very sorry to disappoint. Love to everyone out there <3 And thank you for reading this :) (remember to drink water! <33)

₃₅ I looked around my room staring in dead silence for a moment taking it all in, before letting out a shriek mini jumping around the room clapping my hands before jump sitting on the bed, which was now gonna be the bed I was gonna sleep in! I was overly excited and started to open small drawers and my closet, it was filled with different clothing, "What- is all of this for me? its like they knew they would adopt a girl?" i asked myself in shock by all the different materials

₃₆ I took out a shirt holding it up in front of me scanning the material, "This is cutteee" i started finding random pieces of clothing mix-matching to find some good sets (like displayed above) and found some pieces that would look good together, after trying almost everything there was I grouped up different outfits by hanging them close together in the closet, so I would remember which ones I liked best, 

₃₇ An hour had went by with nothing but trying on what top goes with what pair of pants, looking around the room because everything felt surreal and looking out the window a couple times getting familiar with the new surroundings. There was now only one shirt left I hadn't tried or paired that was laying in the very back of the closet.

₃₈ "Ooooo, I like this," I say talking to myself as I flip it around in my hand examining the materials "It feels nice too" I add as turn around, my back facing the closet/door, I start to take off my shirt, throwing it on the bed as a knock was heard from my door, I quickened my actions "Wh-who is it?" I asked struggling a little to get the fabric over my head

₃₉ I went down the hallway to where they said her room was, Joel had given me a whole lecture about when I was the new kid in Jackson and I had to make friends Blah Blah Blah.. so I decided to give her a chance, I let out a sigh as I ended up in front of the door, as I was about to lift my hand to knock on the door I stopped myself as I heard some ruffling behind it, I decided to knock anyway, knock knock the ruffling became a little hurried and loud "Wh-who is it?" she half yelled.

₄₀ "Uhh-" I was unsure of what to say "It's me, Ellie." I said as the silence got loud "Oh.." the voice from the other side answered sounding kinda disappointed "Can I come in?" I asked "Yeah uhh, for sure come in" I opened the door to Aisha standing with her arms crossed over her belly, she looked embarrassed "Hey," she said as her lips curled up to a thin-lipped smile "Hey," I said doing the same.

₄₁ We stood there for a moment in silence just staring around making eye contact once every few seconds "Uh-Uhm you can sit on my bed if you want" I said a little hurried to kill the silence "Thanks.." she replied taking a seat and resting up against my headboard, I went over to sit at the end of my bed across from her, i sat down with one leg resting on the bed the other hanging off of it, "Soo..." I said "What do you like? of like stuff.." I looked at her awkwardly fiddling with my hands not knowing what else to say "Uhh I mean I like the outer space.." she replied her voice dipping a little low "Are you like a big fan? A total Space Girl? I mean it's totally cool-" I said with a little chuckle that was awkwardly cut off as her gaze went to my face trying to hide a tiny smile.

₄₂ "You think?" she asked me "Yeah it's pretty cool, I like space too," i said laying down completely putting my hands over my belly, Ellie looked at me examining me, "I like your top," she said "Thank you" I smiled tilting my head up to look at her "How did they fetch that?" she asked "I have no fucking clue," I said starting to laugh a little as she let out a chuckle herself "Are you allowed to curse?" she asked thru a choked giggle "Yeah! of course I am," I said laughing a little again "god, joel scolds me every time i do" she giggles

₄₃ "-Wait how old are you?" she asked sounding like it sparked her interest a little too much... I looked at her locking eyes with her immediately "I'm 17.." I said in a much sweeter tone than intended, she looked at me and smiled "Cool.." she said breaking eye contact as I looked back up at the ceiling, "You have to tell me your age now" I said even tho I already knew

₄₄ "I'm 18.." she said her head shifting back to me catching my attention as I look back at her "Cool.." I said copying her cold reply as she let out a scoff grinning, "Soo... are there any hot Boys or Girls? -in this town" I asked her head shot back to me "Girls?.." she asked me as I sat up on my elbows again "Yeah?" I asked quirking an eyebrow sitting up sideways leaning on my elbow "Uhmm..-" she said as I saw a faint blush on her cheeks "Well, Yeah- I mean sure there might be someone your type out there" she said denying eye contact looking into her lap

₄₅ "You like girls?" she asked me quietly "Yeah..?" I said a little nervous as I looked at her face searching for any emotion to rely on, "Do you?" I asked her "I mean.." she said as she motioned her hands down her body looking at me again "Okay, maybe, just maybe, it was a little obvious but I didn't just wanna guess, I wanted to hear it come out of your mouth before I was sure.." I said as an excuse

I ADORE Zooble's design... I adore Zooble's design so much. You fully leaned into the spikey exoskeleton a Mantis has- IMMM THEY ALSO JUST LOOK SO BADASS IN GENERAL... THE COLORS ARE SO GOOD. You translated the mantis eyes into fun big shapely glasses and they look AUGH SO GOOD!! I adore how polygonal they look as well.. the little details and swirls aughhwba dkzn oh my god help me(also... Claw arm... Claw are looks SO FUCKING DOPE...) Her little mantis friend also looks very friendly and colorful... They are gentle... Also I don't know if this was on purpose but the like-- gears :3c? On their joins makes them look like a toy and I think thats perfect... For them.

THE TWICE-STABBED LADYBUG... Youre so fucking right bestie the name is so metal... So simple yet fitting for our lovely little doll lady!! Ragatha you look GREAT in black hehe... Also also!! I love that her dress has a little outside to reflect the ladybug elytra, and the smaller thinner white frills and lace to replicate the wings itself! She translated really well into a lady bug eee heheh oh my goodness.. her cite little ladybug friend has very little spots Im- aaa the spot has a cross on it making it look like her button!! ToT THATS SO CUTTEE

POMNIII POMNIII OH MY GOD POMNIII A CUTIEEE she looks adorable and over all just absolutely stylish! The swallowtail was great in terms of translating her hat to still have the pointed jester look... Also Pomni in general just looks ADORABLE in your style oh my god... i want to hold her.. her heels... I want them.. the butterflies on the heels, the shapely sleeves it just feels absolutely right for her oh my god... I squeeze her so much...you made her feel VERY pomni... STOP MAKING JAX LOOK COOL NO IM SUPPOSED TO HATE HIM this was a very simply change, but I specifically adore the fact that in his non-sentient form his scarf would just be the centipede itself?? Like the friendlier family friend cutesy centipede you might see in a nursery classroom... WHILE IN HIS PRESENT FORM-- the chains are SHARP, SCARY, could actually HURT someone if they poked it... He just because more metal and sharp and I eat it up. The SHAPE of the collar looks SO fucking cool and— DID YOU CHANGE THE SHAPE OF HIS EARS TO MATCH- ATTLEBOY IM GOING TO FUCKING SHAKE YOU--(edit: YOU ALSO ADDED GOGGLES IN PLACE OF THE SUNGLASSES STOPPPP) it something so simple, but i love the centipedes crawling around him... It adds to how fucking disgusting he is, and also gives me the vibes of snakes on someone's shoulders.

GANGLE MIGHT BE MY FAVORITE NOT GONNA FUCKING LIE.... LIKE ACTUALLY... GOD DAMN... I... WOW?? the way you make her ribbons longer and a lot more spindley to match the legs of the spider CHEFS KISS she looks GREAT! And youre so right the specie and her are INCREDIBLY similar!! i love the fact that the ribbons themselves have a cobweb pattern to it, cuz-- yes!! Gangle does trap her victims in her ribbons, which would equate to webs! I love how her cute little spider friend has a sad face on to reflect the tragedy maskk... Nooo OHHHHH TOT and hehe... I don't know if this was on purpose... But the way her ribbons twist around reminds me of a spider's body ... Like the butt at the bottom and the base on the chest... Hehehe.. i thought that was cool...

I love their added little insect friends 🥹 half of me thinks that thats what their minions turn into if you put the skin on... Waugh.. but I also like the idea of a little pet heheh

I LOVE THE SELECT SCREEN OH GOD... the little details like it moving from each arrow first before clicking enter STOPPP i assume this was all animated, WHICH FUCKS ME UP SO MUCH!! ITS WAS SO WELL DONE AND I LOVE IT... The curtain in the background like theyre in a dressing room for a play, the way that the skin collection is a caggeee...Gonna stare at it for awhile... MAYBE THE INSECT COLLECTION WAS THE FRIENDS WE MADE ALONG THE WAY-

This went on for MUCH longer than expected... But I really wanted to express how well you did.. you did SO great and-- again I don't think i need to tell you that X3c im glad this got so much attention! You did wonderful Attleboy and in general just have-- AMAZING art! This is in such stark contrast from your usual sketchy work! This was so well done, well lined, colored, ANIMATED, and over all just.. very quality stuff! Oh goodness! Thank you very much! You did great!

i thought too hard about insect motifs got a little silly and made... a lot lmao these versions of the characters are from @sm-baby's amazing digital carnival au!! full images and rambling about insect choices are gonna get stuck under the cut... it'll be a bit long and i will be putting photos of real bugs down there so be mindful

inspirational species are black swallowtails mostly for the shape, and malay red harlequins mostly for the pattern

carnival pomni's actually the one that kickstarted this whole set... i drew her hat in a way that reminded me of butterflies, went "wait...", then i fully leaned into it :)

jax: "centipede"

there was no specific species for jax. without being able to use color, they were too similar to pick any out... i have included a giant centipede just for reference though since it was mainly larger centipedes i used for inspiration

anddd there's a little bonus sketch for how pre-sentience jax might've looked with a centipede outfit... he gets a bug scarf and some goggles!

ragatha: "ladybug"

inspirational species was the twice-stabbed ladybug chosen because the inverted color scheme looked the best out of all the ones i tried, and also because it's a metal name and we know ragatha's good with a knife... stabby stab... i did add more than two spots to the dress though, it just looks cooler lol

gangle: "spider"

inspiration was the spinybacked orb weaver which i was absolutely ecstatic to find because come on that is the perfect spider for gangle like look at it!! it looks like her mask, it's got red, it's got gold on the limbs, literally twinning

zooble: "mantis"

inspiration was the spiny flower mantis which, like with gangle, i feel is pretty much perfect for zooble... they come in many colors (including pink), have abstract patterns, and it gave me the excuse to cover zooble in spikes :D fun

and no kaufmo because i'm lazy and he's dead (sorry kaufmo fans but am i wrong), and the rest don't have bug names that i know of?

i still want to draw the carnival characters in their regular looks sometime, i just got really really inspired by the idea of secret skins and bug-themed outfits and went a liiittle haywire :P

DCOM Rankings #75: Hatching Pete

This movie is just too stinkin’ cute!! It’s flawed for sure, but it’s soo cutteee.

So I was decent fan of this one. It was never my absolute favorite but I still really liked it. I’m gonna say this now. Jason Doley was such a cutie in this movie, like ughhh....it made me go back to when I watched this when I was in junior high and made me want a boyfriend that would treat me like that. Ahhhh the days of innocence....

But anyway, this movie is straight up adorable, as I said, but not flawless. Here are some of the stand outs.

-by far, the biggest flaw is the character of Cleatus Pool. He’s an asshole. And I don’t know if I like Mitchel Musso’s acting in this one either. Cuz the character is an asshold but you need to still make him likable enough to justify their friendship right? I think Mitchell did an okay job of that, but he just comes off as sarcastic most of the time. Either way, I know that the character is supposed to act like a foil for the main character Pete, and it’s fine if he acts like a jerk in the second act, but I just don’t like how rude and manipulative he is, even if he did being Pete out of his shell. He’s just not fun to watch.

- it’s a really really REALLY cheesy movie, along with being a standard high school drama in a small down. All the characters’ problems seem so minor compared to characters in other movies. And there’s a few things that don’t make sense. How is the popular dude so popular when he’s 0-20 something for the season? Like...I feel like at any other school he’d be a loser. And just the whole fact that everyone is so obsessed with a mascot...But I DO understand, as a cleveland browns fan, how people can still be fans of a losing team. So I get that at least.

- there is another small issue with these kinds of movies, that just because you do something that gets you noticed, doesn’t mean you automatically get the girl. The guy always gets the girl at the end but it’s not real life. And I hope boys don’t watch this movie and think, wow, all I have to do is xyz and I get to have a girlfriend. Speaking of the girl characters, they’re okay. The dark haired girl is good enough (I already forget her name dammit), but the other two are just blonde pretty things. And of course they all have to be cheerleaders right? But I guess that does make sense because of the whole chicken thing. I wish we could have gotten more of Kate though (Pete’s original crush) because I think have her be like “omg you’re the chicken? I love you now” and Pete being like “sorry you only like me because I wear a chicken suit.” Byeeee.

-lastly, just some minor nitpicks on how the school has the money to get a full band, a large warehouse space, and all this nice fancy stuff. I feel like small town high schools would just have the bare minimum stuff. But that’s just me.

-sorry one more thing that I’ve never mentioned in my reviews of the mid-late 2000’s DCOMS. The “helmet” hair look for the guys...did not age well....at all....thank god Jason had at least a mild version of it, but mitchel...yikes.

Now onto the good parts of the movie:

- I’ll say it again, Jadon Doley kills it as Pete, like even more than Virgil. 1. He’s a couple years older and cuter in this movie 2. His acting is even better and I think he had more chemistry with the other woman than with the blond who played Stephanie in minutemen. 3. I like the character of Pete better than Virgil so that probably makes me biased. Pete is just a sweet shy sensitive guy, he doesn’t really want to get popular, he mostly just wants to blend in and stay out of people’s way, but now he has a crush on a girl and wants to get noticed. I don’t think he was a “nice guy” per say, but I’m sure boys have tried to imitate people like him solely to get the girl. Anyway, I would complain about the close ups of Jason in the chicken suit, (I mean it’s like you’re right up in his face), but he’s such a cutie I don’t mind looking at his face up close. Lol I really hope he was at least 18 during the time of filming....

-I said it before but this story is very simple, and all the characters’ problems are simple. But honestly, sometimes I like that in a film. Sometimes I just wanna curl up, forget the world, and watch a happy DCOM. This would be one of those DCOMS. Not my first choice obviously, but still a contender. The idea that an entire town rallies behind a guy in a chicken suit is both weird and charming at the same time.

- the character of Angela (finally remember her name) is really sweet and likable, and played by a great actress. She seems really smart and driven but still has that cute cheerleader vibe. She’s pretty much the only good female character in the movie, although the one blonde who breaks her nose that Cleatus wants to get with is pretty funny too.

-i can relate to the main character as someone who is really shy and afraid to be the center of attention. I love to sing, but only really sing in my shower when I’m by myself...But when I’m in a choir with 10-15 other people standing right next to me, I feel confident enough to actually sing. I’ve sung solo in front of a crown before, but it was never really that good to be honest. I feel like if I could wear some kind of mask my fear would be at least lowered because I have that barrier. Like how it’s easier for people to give presentations when they’re standing behind a podium rather than right in front of the class. Anyway, that high you get when you’re doing something you love in front of people who are rallying with you is literally the best feeling and I think this movie described it pretty well!

- this movie doesn’t get into really deep themes, like, at all. But it still leaves a pretty good message of, blending in is not what makes you noticed, standing out does, and your perception of yourself is important. Pete thought he was just boring and uninteresting, and chose to uphold that view of himself. But he’s not JUST that. And you’re not JUST what other people think of you, you know who you are and who you wanna be. Show people!

So, because this movie goes into the “simple and cute” category, I think it deserves a B+. Not sure where exactly I will put it in the B+ group but that’s where I’m ranking it. Overall, I liked it a lot, and I’m glad yet another DCOM is saved from the nostalgia glasses.

The next few movies are going to be fun and I’m here for it! Let’s go!
