What’s their love languages?

Yumi is 50/50 on Touch and Quality Time. Sure, she’s capable of saying some of the cheesiest cringiest shit, but that’s more of a balm for others who need it. When she needs to express her own love for love’s sake, it’s sex, cuddles, and tagging along on adventures.

Raymond is also split like 60/40 on Quality Time and Words of Affirmation. Is he a mouthy liar? Yes. Does he spend his entire life with verbal walls up wishing they could come down so he could have a gentle and vulnerable chat now and then? Also yes.

Who cooks? Who cleans up? Who’s banned from the kitchen?

Technically they both can cook, but whether they have the time or energy to do so is the issue. Raymond cooks more often, if only to save money. Cleaning is a shared effort with middling success. No picks or bans in the rayumi kitchen so far lol

Who does what chores?

Chores are juggled randomly as their shitty schedules allow. Yumi prefers laundry and hates doing the dishes. Raymond is good for maintenance but won’t organize or tidy shit.

Who is the more romantic one?

They’re both insane in the head romantic for each other but it usually manifests weird

Like Raymond, who’s used to being a caretaker, constantly trying to anticipate her needs and provide for her (but she’s ridiculous and mental so it’s a real head scratcher)

Showers, they don’t often have time for a bath. Both might secretly fantasize about a cute bubble and flowers bath but their tub is hardly that romantic and neither would want to clean up afterwards xD

Yumi loves affection anywhere, Raymond is super embarrassed to be seen as a creep in public but he doesn’t have the heart to push Yumi away

Their favorite place is probably the beach though. Inexpensive, local, and they can get crab rangoons :3c

They enjoy a good couch snuggle, Raymond likes to read and Yumi will watch TV or play video games. Night does NOT end before they have ridiculous sicko mode sex

God no, but Yumi does love saying cringey shit just to embarrass/frustrate Raymond. He takes it well honestly xD

Their dream home is just a house that’s been paid off!! But they’re not financially there honestly, between the costs of running the mortuary and the costs of all the extra demon hunting shit, plus costs of keeping three people in the basement, Raymond doesn’t have much money. Yumi has debts and a weed habit and she likes to leech off Raymond lmao

Who would propose? What would their wedding be like?

My god, I don’t think they’re getting married o_o

Neither of them are too keen on the logistic and public aspects of marriage, and the ties that end up binding them are much more tangible than whatever a ceremony and some rings could offer.

Yumi does propose as a joke with anything vaguely ring-shaped though.

What is something they can never agree on? How do they meet in the middle?

They differ quite a lot on matters of faith. Raymond is obviously not a faithful Christian but he has a few holdover beliefs that he hasn’t really considered. What other beliefs he’s collected from research and travel he takes seriously, and he considers them evidence of his growth as a person.

Yumi hates organized religion, believes religion and most belief systems are based in control not truth, and strongly disagrees with the notion of there being one omnipotent god.

Some of Raymond’s beliefs strike her as archaic or simplistic. Raymond thinks Yumi could stand to be a little more thoughtful and less dismissive.

They respect each other as individuals more than they need their religious/sociological beliefs to interfere though.
