Thx for the reminder cuz' tbh I deleted alot of scenes that I really enjoyed writing from my fic just bcuz I thought the reader wouldn't be as interested in the way I want to portray their life details in the fic as much as their scenes with the love interest

I think there are times where it’s necessary to cut things out because back then, I used to include like every little thing. For example, I once wrote this ship fic right, but then I ended up describing all of the background characters and what they were doing (instead of focusing on the ship). I didn’t finish it, but thinking back I’m like “Why did I write all of that?”

But then again, if it’s something you really enjoyed writing and wanted to include, then go for it. Like nobody can stop you from writing the little details and things you enjoyed. It’s fine to think about the viewers, but I personally wouldn’t worry about if the readers would be bored.
