think about the whole perspective

i want the new enhypen album but i dont want to get harassed to hell and back so i think ill do what i usually do and buy from those odd unofficial kpop websites. they honestly sell shit for like 10x cheaper too. i never gave a fuck if its a knockoff as long as it worked.

you can literally buy a $60+ kpop album for like $30. you can match your favs too for a fraction of the price! (omg that sounds like im writing an infomercial from 2002) idc that it’s a knockoff, if i like it, and it looks similar, i’m paying like $25 for a similar $1000 clothing item some idol wore. (sites like fashionchingu, and idk if idolsfashion still exists or not)

even tho im going to try and boycott sm/hybe groups and the company in general, that does not mean i dont stan them anymore or that i hate the groups (bc i dont, i hate the companies) just only following fan accs/watching their reuploaded lives on yt fan accs, only watching them on fan accs, buying unofficial items, and downloading through suspicious converters/listening to the boycott playlists ppl have made on spotify. strictly boycott if you want but do not harass anyone else for not doing exactly as you say, as long as we are not giving money to the companies, it’s going to have the same effect either way, so let ppl boycott in their own manner.

and dont get me wrong, i do also feel bad for groups like bts, enhypen, txt, seventeen, the rest of riize, aespa, nct, red velvet, newjeans, etc, i feel bad bc now ALL their careers will be ruined bc of their industries. i hope the k-stans and c-stans know they didnt JUST ruin seunghan’s career, but the careers of MANY idols. im not going to go through and count but just looking at sm, nct is like 25 members + all the other groups + soloists so that’s at LEAST 50 idols if im just going to guess. and if you add hybe’s groups + soloists that’s like 80.

if YG and KQ do something more bizarre than usual, kpop wont be a thing anymore. all companies will be boycotted, 1000s of idols careers will be thrown in the trash, no tickets will sell, merch/albums wont sell, the ENTIRE kpop industry will come down and there will be no rebuilding it. and if you’re still a kpop stan after that, the harassing wont end.

dream grew up together and they're all very close in ages. they have gone through so much hardships together, lost mark, gained mark, and really just suffered a lot to get where they are today. wayv debuted as adults, and although the age gap is quite close to dream it's still larger and obvious when you point out how the group is technically both millenials and gen z, two different generations. 127 is also this problem, but i don't see the group trying to push the family agenda that often. plus xj, yy, and dery debuted in nct way later than ten, lucas, ww, and kun did so there is often a divide on closeness there.

the reason wayv is my ult group is not bc of the group dynamics at all. i stanned the group for winwin (obviously) but i also appreciated wayv's talent and discography. I believe that all members of wayv were seriously talented and underappreciated as a group so i loved them a lot.

now i'm also slowly falling out of love with the group because ww isn't there anymore, the music has been kinda shit since he was on hiatus, and the fanservice things have been so weird, especially coming from a group were i only had one bias and pretty much no wreckers.

i'm attracted to the unique personalities of dream, the strong dynamic and friendship the group has. sure they're talented, but dream truly feels like they love and appreciate each other. that's something that's always stood out to me about dream.

idk where people came up with the idea that wayv bond is stronger than dream, but i'm pretty sure wayv bond was lost after lucas scandal happened. being in the basement seriously tore wayv apart and i'm sure that the members themselves felt like this was the end for wayv bc that was always the worry of fans too. throughout this time friendships were kinda just put on hold. you can see the genuine friendship in videos from pre lucas scandal to now. a scandal can really do it to a group.

hendery always has this idgaf attitude lol like. he seems like a crazy chaotic person that everyone gets along with like johnny, but unlike johnny i don't think the bond is truly there. he's just there for the ride. which i gotta respect.

also there was never a wayv ship i practically liked. dream and 127 i loved some dynamics. biggest dynamic i liked in wayv? wayv members with other group members lol. i like renjun-yangyang's friendship, i like ten-johnny's friendship, i like winwin-jaehyun's friendship. it's always wayv member with another subgroup member. never wayv member with wayv member. although maybe i like winwin ten. or maybe i just like any ww pairing except for yuwin and taeil and winwin (even before jaeil i thought this was so uncomfortable to watch.)

I've seen some 13 year olds, and it's just like I want to say get off tumblr, but when I was 13 I was on tumblr as well but I was writing 1D fanfiction since I was a Niall girlie. mamamoo are so great cause they sing so well and they have minimal dancing which is nice compared to newer girl groups where its all dance glitz and glam or they look dainty and doll like, it sometimes isnt really relatable imho. it just doesnt hold my interest in them fully cause its not my personal taste or again their age might be lack in experience if any of this makes sense? i cant get a time machine and go back to the 50s and the only other relevant music nowadays is kpop so either they should bring more variety or i will eventually forget about kpop cause its always the samey tiktok stuff

my first kpop group was exo ! i stanned bts shortly after, and then was introduced to nct, then svt, now enhypen. although i have been a casual listener to a lot of groups, esp ggs. and the only ggs i've ever stanned are formis and aespa >< my first kdrama was suspicious partner, i love it so much :D the chemistry is so good ++ it has a mystery element so i love it even more. and first anime was haikyuu TT i love them sm, it's truly my comfort show

People tend to notice and remember only things that align with their view on things. Taeyong constantly talking about Doyoung will be ignored, words "I miss you" by Tae left on Do's IG turned into Doyoung avoiding Taeyong, Tae developing friendships with SM's producers explained as Tae not needing Do anymore.

Secondly, people have tendency to succumb to the opinion of the majority. Therefore, a skewed perception can be formed if a fan doesn't leave his/her Do-hater or JohnDo/JaeYong info-bubble and eco-chamber.

I guess, the proclivity to make everything black and white also plays a role. If there is a perception of JohnDo being under "attack" (the anon missed me using words "best friend, cherish, support" and concentrated on "both need Do more"), than a retaliation with escalation follows. The threat needs to be punished and eliminated (in this case Doyoung and me). I'm disgraced by being called "you shippers" (the negative connotation is obvious) and Doyoung painted as a ex-friend who abandoned Taeyong. TaeDo can't be simply left as positive or neutral.
